I had a bad experience with Cricket. I would never refer them to anyone. I had a billing issue and in the 1 1/2 hours they couldn't help me resolve the issue. They place you on hold just to come on the line and explain the same thing. If you ask for a supervisor I had to wait 30 minutes and then they hung up. If you have a billing issue and you want a refund. They say they can't refund any money due to them being a prepaid company. I didn't get any service at all. Don't use auto pay because every month it's different amount.

I wanted to save money on my phone. I decided to go with another company. They took the money for April out of my account. I am not with Cricket anymore, so I asked the guy if I would get my money back. He said no. I feel like I should get the money back. I am very disappointed in Cricket taking money. That’s not their money. I didn’t use service on phone for Cricket that month. I have been with them for years.

The worst customer service ever. I paid my full bill on their Website which was $85.00. I woke up the next day to my phones being turned off. I called and they said that I still owed $25.00 and now I have been assessed a $15 reconnect fee. I asked how because the website literally zeroed out my balance after making the $85 fee. They said they sent me a text message last week saying my full bill was $110.00 and regardless of what their website said I should have paid $110.00. I told them that didn’t make any sense. They were rude, they refused to remove the reconnect fee and when I continued to try to explain I was hung up on. I called back several times and no one would help me.
They wanted me to lower my plan to make up for the fee and I said no that wouldn’t fix the issue I’m having. They ended up offering me half of the deactivation fee and when I tried to explain I didn’t think it was fair they rescinded the offer and told me pay it or have no service. I offered to send them screenshots as I always take pictures because they are notorious for this and they refused and said it didn’t matter what their website said. This is crazy!!! And the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Do Not obtain service through this company, you’ll regret it.

They have, hands down, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very difficult to deal with them as far as billing. I tried to change my debit card for auto pay for two months. I had to go to a store to make a payment while they figured out the auto billing after 3 years of being on it.

I ordered a mobile hotspot on March 2nd. On March 17th I was wondering where it was so I checked the tracking and it said it was delivered on the 4th. When I contacted Cricket they told me they would not send a new one or refund me. I had to call ups. I ended up filing a claim with my bank because I needed Internet now. I'm not going to find that lost package and do your job for you. This prompted my bank to quit doing services with me. Apparently this was the 3rd claim in a few months. Someone needs to make this right though.

Over and over again these people lie to you. Their customer service does not try to help. They act like they do their own foreign department over in another country the bridge pay they're supposed to have 7 days and they don't give you 7 days. They give you six days so they lie to you as a lot of other things to do false advertisements over and over again. Their free upgrades lie, the plans are lies, always something hidden. Go to AT&T or elsewhere, Do not go with Cricket, You will regret it.

February is the shortest month of the year, yet my phone has been disconnected from service. Service I paid for a FULL MONTH. I'm a FIRM Believer that Cricket Wireless KNOWS of People living on 'Fixed'/Government Incomes. Cricket KNOWS when these funds are going to be available to the people for bill payment and they PURPOSELY apply these adjustment for receiving the five-dollar reconnection fee from every individual on a fixed income during the SHORTEST months of the year. It's a RUSE, a SCAM and it's WRONG.
Cricket Wireless KNOWS that most have no option but to pay this five-dollar reconnect fee because they can't afford to switch Phone Carrier Service right away. This should be ILLEGAL. It's WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. My bill was last paid 01/25/2026, so WHY is my phone service off 02/26/2026?!?! This is NOT A WHOLE MONTH'S SERVICE. Mass service disconnections in the Shortest month of the year...One hundred percent SCAM.

On February 3, 2026, I went to the Cricket store located at 1739 E. Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 to purchase a phone. I specifically stated that I wanted to spend under $100 if possible. Despite this, the sales associate attempted to sell me a $150 phone, ignoring my stated budget. In addition, I was never informed about insurance at the time of purchase and had to call later to add it. I was also sold a refurbished phone that turned out to be faulty. To make matters worse, the phone was not registered correctly in the system.
On February 9, 2026, I filed a claim through Asurion (Cricket’s warranty provider) because the phone was malfunctioning. I was instructed to take the device to UPS with RA# **. I was told that if there were no cracks or physical damage, the phone would be sent to Cricket and I would receive a replacement within 2–3 business days.
Instead, it took 8–9 business days to receive a replacement. During that time, I was first told the phone was out of stock and no replacement or loaner could be provided. Then I was informed that because the store associate failed to register the phone properly, they could not verify my purchase date. I was repeatedly transferred between representatives, and neither Cricket nor Asurion has accepted responsibility or offered any credit for the days I was without service and without a working phone.
Now, the replacement phone I received is experiencing the same malfunction as the original device. I am extremely frustrated and hesitant to go through the same return process again, given the delays and lack of accountability I have already experienced. I am requesting a resolution that does not require me to repeat this process yet again. I would appreciate either a properly functioning replacement, a different device, or a refund, along with appropriate credit for the time I was without service.

Hello I had my phone for one month. Those weeks were full of nothing but spam calls from many different callers. Cricket will tell you to download a app that doesn't work and when you look at your settings in your phone there's app tracking your phone which leads to the spam calls. Cricket phone isn't safe because millions of companies have access to your private information so cricket never helped me. They lie and don't listen. Let me save you the drama. Shop somewhere else. I purchased a new phone on Jan 20, I also purchased a case and screen cover. About a week ago the screen cover started coming off. I went to the Cricket store on Rural and Guadalupe and spoke to Abdul who was rude and condescending. It said I had to pay for another screen saver. I disagreed. It should last longer than a few weeks. He finally decided to give me one but he did a horrible job putting it on. It has fingerprints and he said he was doing me a favor and they don't replace them. I paid 24.99 for the screen protector and was not going to pay for another one. I told him I was going to contact the Corporate office but you aren't able to do that either. I will not be renewing with Cricket.

The store located at 5689 W Touhy (which is not even registered with BBB) has the worst customer service I ever experienced. The worker had music blasted so when she asked me for my telephone number twice she still couldn’t hear me. So I suggested for her to turn the music down so she can hear me (the customer). But I guess that made not much sense so she refused and also refused to assist me open an account. She told me to call the police because she’s having a bad day. Way to Go lady. You just lost a faithful customer.
P.S. People that are in customer need to be trained to realize that it’s about the customer not the workers' needs and they need to learn to speak the primary language of the country they are in so they can properly assist the customers. Otherwise the weight is on the customers (that do speak the primary language) to try to help the worker understand…That’s not customer service. So sorry she hates her job in customer service. I’m sure she won’t have it for too much longer acting that way. Also I would have gave it no stars if allowed.

CEO of Cricket Wireless LLC. In November 2025, my husband purchased a new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Since then, Cricket Wireless has repeatedly suspended his service, alleging he is sending spam or fraudulent messages, even though he only contacts individuals in his personal and business networks. We understand if payments are not being made, but his autopay is set up monthly, and his number is still turned off without any warning. This is an unacceptable customer experience, and he was told he cannot use his new device to switch carriers. He serves as a community leader for the NAACP, a church leader, and president of a Christian organization. As part of his responsibilities, he sends hundreds of text messages daily. Being told by your representatives that this is unacceptable raises concerns about discriminatory treatment.
Cricket Wireless continues to allege that my husband is sending scam messages, although he has sent similar messages for years as a customer. The customer service experience has been unsatisfactory, with supervisors and representatives showing little empathy. The fraud team has refused to review his account history, denied his request to transfer his device to another carrier, and suggested he revert to his old device, which we find unacceptable. So now we are going out of our way to share with everyone just how poorly we have been treated by Cricket Wireless, a company of no compassion, to resolve the customer's issue immediately, but reluctantly.

I have had Cricket for 8 years because of the pricing. And the acceptable quality of coverage which has always been manageable for us, but the customer service presents itself as bad but I believe that is intentional. Making changes to your account is near impossible. Like when I wanted to add a line, it happened in 5 min or less but when I was ready to remove a line, I had to go to a store because they just conveniently have long wait times like 20 or more minutes. I opted to do it through text and no one ever contacted me back. These things are not just oversight, they are on purpose.

But what has me frustrated is how do people just coming into the company to get better deals on Phone than loyal customers? You would think if you’d be with them consistently for more than a decade that they would give you some type of break, but I guess not.

I have had Cricket for many years without issue. In 2025 I had several issues with service and internet on my phone and it is still happening early 2026. Today let me know exactly what kind of company Cricket is. I called tech support for no internet on my phone. The extremely hard to understand lady was polite but detrimental to my phone. It took her 5 minutes to delete everything important and make the phone even less usable than it was. Then it took 35 minutes of me telling her I'm not interested in buying a home electronic insurance program. She would not do any more tech support until I bought the plan.
After several "I'm not interested"s I finally had to just say, "Ma'am will you please just help me fix my phone? That is all I need." She then pretended to transfer me and then hung up. There was no call back from her. I called back. I got a guy that I told the story of what happened during the call. He seemed a bit different after I told him what happened. He told me, "No problem this is what we are going to do. I will send you a QR code and then disable your sim card. Then you scan the QR code and...." Then my sim card was deleted. I was given no guidance of where the QR code was going. Nothing. Now I have no phone.
The only thing I could do was drive to a store. You aren't going to believe this but I swear to you both locations in a 20 mile radius were closed at 2 and 3 pm. One on Hwy 80 in Pooler Ga, the other on Quaco road in Pooler GA. The doors said open until 7pm on weekdays. No sign saying why they were closed. I couldn't call the stores. I couldn't google where other locations were. Yet again nothing. This company has become a joke.
I have again, this evening, tried calling to speak to a supervisor. I was told they had one on the line and would be with me in a moment. After WAY too long of a wait I hung up and here I am. I am going to spread this to every site, every review, every person, every gust of wind that will listen, do not give this company your money!!! They have forgotten about customer service or even doing the right thing. Tomorrow morning I will be contributing to a company that doesn't blackmail you into buying new products in order to fix what you already pay for. Farewell Cricket and I honestly hope you fail if this is your business style.

Then they put someone in a chat they start typing a message then stop you text them and ask anyone there, nothing so you leave the chat about 2 days later you get an email asking how are we doing, REALLY, I'm looking for something better now, because the Internet is hit or miss with them.

I just spent over an hour writing a review and apparently it was rejected. So I'll make a detailed report of why I'm upset, short. Have now spent over 6 hrs since Jan 9th between trying to contact customer service, a supervisor, driving to the nearest cricket store and now writing reviews. Nobody would/could help me. I was charged $90 even after I cancelled 1 line and changed the other line to a $30 plan on my service due date. I paid $90 for 1 month of service and they would not credit my account for the other $60. That means I paid $90 for a service I never received. Isn't that illegal?
The least they should have done would have been to leave my service untouched till the next billing cycle but they deleted the requested line and put the remaining line to the $30 service but still charged me $90. They totally refuse to do anything about the money I lost because I didn't get the proper help or info. Now looking for a provider who gives me what I pay for and better customer service.

I had Cricket Wireless service. I like Cricket because I love to hear the crickets, it's something to smile about, and they have a cool starting screen of friends who better not be customers or employees hahaha. However, I am kind of hurt or sad because they gave me a number an official number, which is not 813 where I live and where I bought it from. in Tampa, FL, it was the 656 number (so scammy) and as far as I know 813 is official Tampa.
Anyway they gave the 656 as the official number and then when doing things I was asked for my number and the forms would say that number is not accepted. I'm sorry, that should not be the case obviously if it is the OFFICIAL number CRICKET has given me, I am not the one running their operations and there is no reason an official number should not be accepted. I am doing everything as instructed and it is the number they gave me. I think it was even on some official sites asking for the number, it's not even like it's weird websites, it's regular ones like insurance or apps or whatever. I mean the reason to have a number is for it to be used not to need another number because it is not be accepted and I find this to be ridiculous.
Then I got a prepaid phone after that one broke or got lost or whatever, and when trying to set up the first month of service I read their service terms and it says if you miss a month of payments, they will deactivate parts of your phone. I'm sorry, I have bought the phone which says it gives you access to all those features, it is no longer your phone, and it is prepaid, so that means I don't have a contract with you every month so there should be no "fine" applied for not making a "monthly" payment because that is called a CONTRACT phone.
Now that one broke because it is a MOBILE phone and by being MOBILE you then know that it can be dropped because it's not GLUED to anything, and you also know that in the state that it is SOLD, it WILL break when DROPPED. You also KNOW that exposure to water it will BREAK and that it does in fact RAIN or drinks SPILL where the phone will go since it is so MOBILE, meaning often carried outside while RAINING and also carried around areas where there are DRINKS or set down next to a SINK where you WASH HANDS.
KNOWING this, to me, leaves no EXCUSE to not ENSURE that when you sell the PHONE that the customer can be confident in their purchase. What I mean is that it is your company and your operation and YOUR JOB, not the customers, to ensure that when they make a phone purchase they can be CONFIDENT in the purchase they have made.
That is part of the reason to have a wide selection of phones, right? To be CONFIDENT in the phone purchase you are making? However, no matter which selection they choose, they will then NOT have confidence in their choice over another nor in their purchase, because as SOON as they OPEN the box, and take out the MOBILE phone, it will then BE POSSIBLE to ACCIDENTALLY (or even purposely) DROP the phone and therefore BREAK it. EVEN if they make the second and third purchase of drop protection AND screen protection, IT CAN STILL BREAK BEFORE applying said protection, and IN FACT, to INSERT the SIM CARD OR MEMORY CARD, THEY HAVE TO REMOVE THE DROP PROTECTION, thereby meaning that to SIMPLY SET UP the phone, IT QUITE POSSIBLY WILL BREAK, before you can even apply protection.
To then REQUIRE an ADDITIONAL PURCHASE of insurance is LAUGHABLE, because they apparently will NEVER be able to get CONFIDENCE in PURCHASING from you, because the phone CAN BE BROKEN SIMPLY TRYING to GET IT OUT OF THE BOX, and SET IT UP. WHEN Au are trying to use the sim removal tool, it can slip from your hand, and at that time it is NOT POSSIBLE to have the PROTECTION case on.
Although you may be able to get the screen protector on, but when taking out of the box, you may drop it, and once again, there would be no screen protector. It has now broken (quite possibly) before you have even turned it on or been successful in inserting the sim card. To run your operations in this manner is much illogical to me, I would think you would like to sell the phones with the enforced protection already applied and the screen in a protected manner, instead of in a obviously scammy fraudy manner, where the phone can be broken before even turned on or set up, just by simply removing it from the box to enjoy your purchase. To me this is just being ignorant, refusing to be good to your customers, and wanting them to continually pay more for making shody business practices and not doing YOUR JOB of delivering confidence in YOUR products and delivering on expectations.
To me, to REQUIRE separate purchases to ensure the product they bought continues to run smoothly is ridiculous, when you buy something you expect the purchase to be done and to work as advertised, not like I need to hunt around for something that I didn't even come to the store to purchase in order to get it in operating order. If it was like extra accessories like maybe I don't know a wallet that fits on the back or even a stand that may be a different story but to be selling insurance and have the protection case and the screen protector sold separately to me is to completely trash your company's name because those are not like separate accessories like just take it or leave it. You may like the 3d vision googles or have more money to spend on luxury upgrades of some sort, no, those are literal parts of the phone that are needed to keep a MOBILE phone in running order.
In other words, you are selling the phones in an incomplete manner and it is a type of fraud, a type of scam, and you are ROBBING people of their hard earned money by doing this and on top wanting them to buy insurance. If you buy something people should have CONFIDENCE that what they are buying will not end up being a PIECE of JUNK through NO FAULT of their own but mostly through the COMPANY'S OWN PURPOSEFUL NEGLIGENCE and then passing on the buck to its customers. Those are YOUR PRODUCTS and we are coming for ONE PURCHASE.
We have no interest in making any other purchase but the phone, we don't want any accessories, and that phone should therefore be the only purchase, complete with everything needed to have CONFIDENCE that it will work. It is even more comical when it is a CONTRact like I used to have it says about 3-6 months for unlock or for changing plans or whatever, so that means that for it to be possibly broken right as you take it out of box, is indeed a laughing stock, because it is a CONTRACT with several months requirement.
The prepaid I purchased which you then said missed monthly payments get the phone turned down BROKE in ONE MONTH due to me not coming into the store to purchase anything but a phone, and that PROVES that the way you OPERATE YOUR OWN STORE and SELL PURCHASES is down in a scammy fRAUDY way because if I have paid for an item, that ITEM should be confident to work for me, in other words, I am not looking to make additional purchases up the yoo yoo just to get it to work, I AM ONLY MAKING ONE PURCHASE TODAY. If you KNOW it needs EXTRA to WORK, then you MUST INCLUDE it because that is what they are purchasing it to do, TO WORK.
This new one I purchased DOES NOT even include a CHARGING CORD and the phone must be CHARGED to work, instead it includes headphones which it doesn't need and some kind of cord that plugs into the phone but has the same plug on the other side. I don't even know what that is? And there is no plug box. I do have my own charger from before, but they IN FACT recommend using the cord that comes with it for being the one to use, and if I didn't have the cord, because it is YOUR JOB to sell me a product I can use, not mine to do some of the WORK for you, then I would not even be able to USE the phone after the battery drained down, which means, you expect me to go make ANOTHER PURCHASE just to get the phone to work, AFTER I PURCHASED a phone not just to throw in the trash, but to be able to use.
When you are going into the store you are making a purchase so it will do what you are buying, not to then have to DO THEIR JOB for them and make several other purchases because after the PURCHASE what you PURCHASED DOESN't even work. On top of it, I was trying to set it up, and then it directs me to put in my phone number.
I was not given a phone number in the process, which is YOU JOB to do, because you are the one operating your company and selling me a phone to make calls on, and not mine to have to waste my day coming back to get you to DO YOUR JOB when I'd like to rest or something and USE MY PHONE. But I can't even do anything else on the phone because it requires the number which you did not provide when you sold a phone which is used to make phone call. So I can not use the phone to call for assistance and instead will have to waste gas to come get you to do your job of making sure the phone works as it is intended.
Why you would run your operations in such a scammy fraudy way I don't know, because if you are going to ask for them to put in the phone number, then you'd have to give it to them so they can do this. In other words, this is your company, your job and your responsibility to literally do your job in a competent manner, not in an incompetent manner, where it's like all unintelligently done and very nonefficient and often quite scammy, like my phone, as sold, literally broke within one month, and that phone cost about $70.
There are hotels which are requiring $100 deposits because if you mess up their rooms, they will take your $100. So because of your fraudy scammy way of selling phones you don't have to give me a $100 for blowing my money in one month? WOW! OR for assigning me a number that is not being accepted on forms? Wow! Or for giving me a prepaid then in legalese telling me it is a contract? WOW! OR for saying the purchase and job has been done but now I can't get started or access the phone because how am I going to get my number? Wow!
I mean, if you set it up at home, then don't ask me for my number because you didn't give it to me. And if you don't, then get it set up in store or give me the number so it can be set up before I leave, because it's going to ask for it. WOW! The instructions literally says contact your dealer if you want to activate and use it. UM, that is what we purchase a phone for right? Or is it just to store it? So therefore you should probably do your job before we leave the store because YOU KNOW this PER YOUR QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS (I just read), you know why we are purchasing the phone, and per the enter the number requirement which you did not supply, we can not now CONTACT the dealer as you instruct to do. Therefore you really don't have an excuse except maybe your store operations are a scam or fraud or you need way better management.
Also the instructions say to charge the phone using the provided usb cable and usb type c adaptor sold separately but once again you must be like really needing some educational credits in your portfolio, because a phone needing to be used requires charging, and therefore you are obligated when you sell a phone to be used to include what it needs to be used, not say sold separately. That is called a scammy fraudy company.
A refill card on the other hand wouldn't be included, because you buy that as per the time you are refilling, but if you are selling a product, it is YOUR JOB to sell the product in a USEABLE state, so the customer has CONFIDENCE in buying from you, not THEIR JOB to be YOUR SALESMAN and get additional things sold WITHOUT EARNING A PAYSTUB from you, JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT THEM to WORK FOR YOU FOR FREE as a SALESMAN or you want to be a scammy fraudy salesman yourself getting additional things sold NOT BECAUSE you're a GOOD salesman, but because YOU'RE a SCAMMY FRAUDY SALESMAN. :)

After more than eight years with Cricket Wireless, I always felt satisfied with the service. It was reliable, and over that time I paid more than $9,600 for four lines. I stayed because things worked well. Recently, around Christmas, I decided to transfer our phones to a different provider that offered a better deal. In order to transfer the numbers, I paid my bill on December 29. Only a few days later, on January 2, I asked to cancel the service — and was told there would be no refund at all, not even a partial one, even though the phones were inactive and I didn’t use any data during that time. For me, this was very disappointing.
After years of loyalty and consistent payments, I expected at least some flexibility or understanding. Instead, it felt like there was no consideration for long-term customers. I’m moving forward with a new company and hope the experience will be better overall. I still wish Cricket the best — but I truly believe policies like this are unfair, especially for customers who have invested so much over many years.

I am very disappointed with Cricket’s international service and customer support. My son is traveling in Europe, and I purchased a $25 / 5-day Cricket International Passport plan for him. Unfortunately, the service never worked at all. He had no data or service despite having roaming enabled correctly on his phone (this is a very basic setting, and I am confident it was set properly). I contacted customer service, and due to the time difference, they told me they would call my son the next day at noon to confirm his phone settings. However, no one ever called him, as promised.
After I found out, I called customer service again. This time I was told they could only refund $10, which makes no sense because the plan did not work at all. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but the supervisor said there was nothing they could do. So basically, I paid money for a service that never worked and received no real support. I pay my bill on time every month, yet this is the level of service I received. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, and it has seriously damaged my trust in Cricket.

I switched to Cricket Wireless in October 2025, purchasing their $60 per month highest premium plan, $12 per month for device protection, and a Samsung S25 FE for $299. The network failed before I even left the store. The salesman spent hours on calls with customer service, only to be told "a tower is down"—the same excuse I received for days afterward. What I experienced on their "top-tier" plan:
Network Performance: 0/5
a. No data connectivity anywhere in Atlanta metro area.
b. Cannot load basic web pages or streaming apps.
c. Phone shows signal bars but zero actual throughout.
Customer Service: 0/5
a. Manager, her name is April, hung up during escalation.
b. No ticket numbers or follow-up provided.
c. Refused to refund for completely non-functional service.
Transparency: 0/5
a. Hidden 6-month device unlock policy not mentioned in store.
b. Salesman couldn't answer basic network questions.
c. No disclosure that "tower issues" are apparently permanent.
1. Constant dropped calls mid-conversation.
2. Uber requests either never appeared or delayed by minutes.
3. Complete network failure across Atlanta—not "spotty," but ZERO service.
4. Couldn't use YouTube, TikTok, Google, or even the Uber app.
Customer service was a complete failure:
1. Endless AI assistant loops with no human escalation.
2. When I reached agents, they gave only empty promises ("we'll look into it").
3. Escalated to a supervisor, then manager "April" who hung up on me after 60 seconds.
The final insult: When I tried switching to Verizon Visible, I discovered the phone was locked. Cricket revealed a hidden 6-month unlock requirement that was never disclosed at purchase.
Now I'm trapped: I had to open a new 35/month Cricket line just to use the phone I bought, yet I still have **absolutely zero network.** I'm literally using Verizon Visible's hotspot on my Cricket phone to access the internet—while paying Cricket $35/month for dead air.
Bottom line: Cricket Wireless charges premium prices for non-existent service while using deceptive lock-in tactics. Avoid at all costs.

THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY, AND IT WILL COST you more than any other service that you think may be expensive‼️‼️ PLEASE BE CAREFUL‼️‼️ I asked them to listen to the call that I called and what the representative did and they refused. I even tried using a different credit card that is not through the same bank as the debit I tried using and it was declined. I tried the next day using the automated phone service and it suddenly accepted the payment and charged an extra $5 to use it. This month, same exact issue! Despite multiple attempts and countless calls, my issue still has not been resolved. Every time I contact customer support, I am given the same explanation—that the system is undergoing an update. If this is truly the case, it raises serious concerns about the reliability of your systems. It is difficult to believe that a company’s system would require updates every hour, every day, for several days in a row, especially when customers are left without service as a result.
This experience has been unacceptable. I have wasted valuable time trying to get a simple activation completed, and I have received no effective assistance or meaningful resolution. At this point, I am extremely frustrated and am strongly considering switching to another provider—perhaps MetroPCS or another company that prioritizes customer needs and offers reliable support. I couldn’t receive calls after having the phone for three months. When I first initially got the phone I put it in for my contact number and it said that I had a voip number. Which is not a real number I call to call to get that fixed which never was.
I had to constantly reset my mobile settings. Which seem like it would offset things that I had in place on my phone. Like it would delete things or put them in default setting. I couldn’t make calls out. I would have to call out max 5-6 times to even get a ring. I wouldn’t have service in places where I definitely should have service like Family Dollar or Walmart. Very embarrassing standing next to entrance to transfer money between accounts because you can’t catch a freaking signal. Makes me look broke. I was disappointed that there were no upgrade deals for existing customers, but paid over $700 to get a new iPhone through Cricket. Not on a payment plan but fully paid for. I went online prior to my trip and signed up for an international calling plan. It wasn't clear, but apparently the plan only covered calling from the US to the foreign country, not cell service in the foreign country. Which I discovered at my destination. Just get a SIM card, right? Only, no; Cricket locked my phone for six months post-purchase. I couldn't log on to the Cricket site with my tablet when I had wi-fi service, so I had to wait forever for a representative while using someone else's phone.
Cricket refused to help, just kept parroting "terms and conditions" and didn't have any concern for my situation - in a foreign country with no cell service, even while acknowledging I was a long time customer. Obviously Cricket has no regard for their customers. I'm stuck with Cricket for five more months at which time I will switch to another carrier (not AT&T, who owns Cricket). Honestly Cricket is the worst phone company out there. They limit your usage to 4g when it's busy times. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. I pay $60/no and feel like I'm getting ripped off. They also take your autopay 2 days early, so if you're on social security or anything like that beware. I can barely use my phone at times because it goes to 4g LTE or I have no signal at all. They run on AT&T towers and that's the best company around here so it should work all the time. When I was with Straight Talk on AT&T sim it worked so this makes no sense unless they are doing it on purpose.
As for their customer service, it's just as bad. Rude, nasty people when you call with a problem. After this phone I will be switching companies. Oh, and you can't buy a phone at Walmart or online and think they'll help you set it up in the store. They won't! They say they can't touch them. Way to price gouge. Despicable ethics. The merchant told me he has never been so disrespected in his life. Threw everything in his pockets and started to walk around the counter like he wanted to fight. I told him the problems and he said I didn’t know what I was talking about. 1 issue came up that he sold me a iPhone 15 and gave me a 14…. I didn’t even realize till a few days ago. He said no, that if I wanted a 15 it’s $400 more on top of the $580 I already gave him… I told him my friend was sitting right there and confirm that he told me I was getting an iPhone 15. So now he says I’m trying to hustle him and we are both liars. I said you know what just return all my money, I will go somewhere else and you won’t have to deal with me… then he says, "We don’t do returns."
Now I went back there Sat, Sun, and today Monday… I thought Cricket had a 7 day return policy? I also paid for the phone I have in full+service….that was the worst in store experience of my life. I felt my safety was in jeopardy and I'll never go back there and I'll tell everyone I know the same thing. Can’t show receipt because he didn’t even give me one. Hope it's in your system. Took my money for the last time. Stole my data and then took my referral bonus to purchase more. More than once I have been screwed out of data or account credits. Yesterday I was cheated out of the data I PAID for on September 1, 2025. I was charged my referral credit to add more data because customer service refused to give me the data I paid for. A few years ago I paid my bill and the payment was never credited to my account. I provided proof of payment where it was clearly debited from my card. Cricket refused to give me said credit and I had to pay a second time. I never got the missing payment back.
I am sick of referring people and then cricket finds a way to steal my referral bonus. I switched service yesterday. I am DONE and I have been a cricket customer for near 15 years. I cannot recommend them. I have also had multiple other issues that customer service has refused to assist with. My laptop will not stay stable on the 5G home wifi, which I never had an issue until cricket updated their towers. Cricket refused to help address the situation I had to purchase a new device, which did not resolve the issue. The fact that I paid for 115 gb of data September 1, 2025 and yesterday I woke up with zero data, the account showed only 65 gb of data which was all used up is disgusting. Then when I call to have them fix their mistake, they take my referral credit to pay for more data instead of giving me the data I had already paid for was it. I am DONE with this thieving company.

I have been a customer for my most recent account since 2014. I had a different line before this one since 2003. So I have used cricket for a very long time. Yesterday, I tried to pay my bill but their online system would not recognize my card as a valid number. I tried another card. same thing. So I called. The automated system couldn't pick up half of what I was saying or even when I entered manually. It would not allow me to make my payment. This has happened before. My bill was due yesterday so I was suspended this morning. I tried all the systems again. Nope nada. I wait for customer service to be open to not only pay my bill but dispute the reactivation fee. This again has happened before but I have sucked up the 15 dollar fee and the 5 dollar fee for a rep to take my payment and reactivate me. Well customer service kept sending me links to do this that never arrived.
I explained to him both online and the phone kept sending me links and they wouldn't arrive. He told me the problem was at my end because it said my card declined. I explained that on my end, it isn't recognizing the card as valid. I used the card last night and this morning and it worked other places. I also told him I tried a different card which it also wouldn't recognize. It too works everywhere but Cricket. I explain that clearly the issue is at their end because it is only cricket that is having an issue. He agrees to stay on the line while I go to a computer to do this. I can't get on because the verification code goes to my phone and it's suspended. Can't do that. I guess I have to figure it out at my end. He sends ANOTHER link that doesn't arrive. I am about 6 hours in on trying to pay this bill. When I finish work, I drive to a cricket store. It still declines one card. It does take the other.
Once I tried online, through the app and on the phone. So my service is finally back on. It is 100 percent their system. I called the card that was still declined. It wasn't even showing the attempts on it. So I am leaving cricket after more than two decades of service. It should not be this hard to pay your bill. Customer service should not be blaming the customer. I don't care what your end says, when my end is showing something different. You get somebody who understands or can figure it out. You don't say nobody else has had this problem. Yes, others do have this problem because I have complained before. It has never been this bad though. I made one last call to customer service. I wanted them to know why this was my last payment to them. I explained everything here. They hung up or I was disconnected after and 8 minute wait turned into a 15 minute wait.
They do not care. I put up with their system and payment issues because I had been with them so long. This was WAY WAY WAY too much. I would not recommend them. The customer service at the physical locations are great but outside of a physical location you will constantly be frustrated. The amount of time I spent trying to pay a bill that they padded with service fees, I could have earned the cost of that bill 2 1/2 times over. Oh and the number of times the automated systems and hold music told you how easy and convenient it is to pay your bill with Cricket is enough to make someone lose their minds.

Let's skip to this month, I enrolled into Bridge Pay again and the same exact thing happens again so I call customer service and was told that because I didn't receive a 2nd text message which was not my fault it's a mishap on their end, on the app that even though I paid $25 dollars I still had to come up with the total amount for my bill which is $60 dollars.
I asked for a manager so I could explain the situation and I was told by said manager "Well the only thing I can do is offer you 5 dollars off." I said well, "I paid $25. Now I have to pay another $60 because of a mistake on your end?" Added a line. Called about the internet being slow. One out of four agents on chats told me it was because of the plans changing. I’ve only had Cricket for four months. So I looked into it. Contact them again to because I’m paying $60 for my plan that is supposed to be unlimited high speed data which is now a $50 plan with reduced speeds but they still charge existing customers $60 for it. Was told by a supervisor that customers were responsible for requesting the change but online they don’t offer the old plans anymore. They’re only viewable from a pre existing account. So they reduced the internet speed on the ultimate more plan and are charging $10 less for it for new customers it’s called the smart unlimited plan.
They’re thieves. Paid for the new line before they mailed the phone out then they refused to upgrade my plans unless I pay an additional $20 to activate the phone. I had already spoken to a supervisor before my plans renewed to let them know to update my plan. Now they want another $10 for “voice assistance for calling customer service” because they told me to in order to update the plans. Straight up thieves. Still haven’t updated the plans. Claim they will suspend my services unless I give them more money.
Most recent $20 activation fee they charged me doesn’t even show up on my account. Activation fees are only for in store activations not online purchases. They’ve suspended my whole account over a $10 charge that doesn’t even show up on my account. Cricket is suppose to be prepaid. They added an additional $15 to my bill because I used BridgePay, smh. They said something about reactivating of my service to use Bridge Pay or something like that.
But why do I even after to pay $15 to reactivate my service, when I gave them $55 to start up my service with their little Bridge Pay feature?! That's suspicious... they also told me that if I don't make my 2nd payment, my device will be off. Then I'll have to pay my regular bill of $114 plus another $15 reactivation to get my service back on. Then they also said they can push my billing due date back, but I'll have to pay $55 to do that. Like what type of SCAM RING are they running. I told that man today, that their fees are RIDICULOUS and how I can't wait to go back to Metro on September 21, that'll be my 6 months of being with them, so they can then unlock my phone, it shouldn't be locked anyway. I had no service for 2 weeks when a tower was down for maintenance. When I called several times I was told I could get a credit to my account. They still have not given my credit and recently a chat person said it was denied. Every person I spoke with said I would get a credit after my phone was working again. Every time I chatted in the app and asked how to file a formal complaint because their website is not working for that section they would leave the chat. No help at all. It has happened with 3 chat customer service people. They won't give me any answers. Our contract says we have to go through oberation but they won't help me in anyway on how to file. They are not helpful at all.
I'm going to leave them since they lied to me and how they handle customers when they want to complain. I was told I would get a credit for the days I had no service by several people I talked to but no credit was given. The chat people are not helpful at all and neither are the agents who take calls. I wouldn't recommend them if you actually want your phone working good. You would think all my calls and chats would be logged into their system but apparently not or they just don't want to help. I'm definitely leaving this company as soon as I can. With my family as well. I was mislead or lied to and it's not right. My phone still doesn't even work right. It only does WiFi calling most of the time still.

Finally they were able to get my phone turned back on and instructed me on what I needed to do further to get my mom's phone activated properly. Cricket Wireless lost me as a customer before I even got started. Their setup process is fundamentally flawed. As a new customer, I was never issued a phone number — yet every support avenue demanded one to proceed. The receipt was accidentally discarded, and without a number, both the customer service line and online chat are a waste of time. I was caught in a loop with no access to real assistance. It’s unacceptable that a company offering communication services can’t communicate effectively with new users. The lack of flexibility and accessible support made my decision easy: I will take my business elsewhere.

When I traveled overseas, I had no service, which was unexpected. Upon returning to the U.S., I contacted customer support hoping for some assistance or clarification. WORST CELL CO I EVER HAD!. Switched from Metro PCS to Cricket, OMG!. HUGE MISTAKE!. Only been with cricket for 3 months, it's been HELL for 3 months!. I bought, purchased a cellphone, I have the best plan they have, use auto pay, would've been a loyal customer but I'm switching back to metro pcs 👍🏼🎉 awesome cellphone service, no issues in 7 years!. 2nd day I was back in cricket store and been there to many times to count. Cellphone has not worked right since day one, every single day, every phone call was either dropped call and whoever I was speaking to couldn't hear me but I could hear them. Tried using my alarm, turns off in the middle of the night which made me late for work!. They didn't care about any of that, can people imagine losing your job because of cricket's service?!.
LUCKILY I DIDN'T LOSE MY JOB. EVERY TIME I GO IN ALL THEY DO IS SAY "REALLY? WE NEVER HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH ANY OTHER CUSTOMERS." now reading the reviews that was a complete lie, that's what they are, LIARS!. All they would do is reset my phone to surrounding towers which is a joke and something they just came up with to make it look good, next thing they did was put a 2nd SIM card in, that didn't work. So the district/regional manager told "me" to bring my phone in because it was the device and that they would lend me a phone and send mine out to Samsung to get a new one, BLAMING SAMSUNG!.
I was aggravated with that, knowing I've been going there since the 2nd day of purchasing a phone and a new customer. I thought they would've given me a new phone but NOPE, only because I was going there all the time and the biggest reason because I was back the next day. When I went in to give them the phone and to "borrow a junk phone" I was told that I have to deal with Samsung and it was up to me basically to do all the work after what the district manager just told me. I left the store because I was so angry and upset that they completely lied to me and did nothing at all to help. I was SO SHOCKED AT WHAT I WAS TOLD. THEY NEVER TRIED TO CONTACT ME FOR ANYTHING AFTER DEALING WITH BS EVERY SINGLE DAY!..
I actually contacted my parents' lawyer and he couldn't believe it!. So now I'm switching back to 🎉 MetroPCS 👍🏽. Awesome service, I was talked into trying cricket!. Worst mistake I made!. I just can't believe I had to go this far, contacting a lawyer?!. Come on cricket!. Never ever would've thought I'd have to go this far with a cellphone company but lawyer said I have a case. So I guess I have to take time to go through with this over $8-$900. Cricket would rather have a lawsuit apparently. I'm tired of getting screwed over by companies in general. They want to treat customers like this, they deserve it back now. I looked at the reviews and could not believe all the bad reviews, mostly all 1 star. If I could give them a -5star I would but that's not an option

It's unacceptable to take that long to send a one word text. It doesn't matter if I try using my device anytime from 7pm-5am; it always takes at least 15 seconds to connect to the network and then it's sub-standard data speeds on top of that. I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by my recent experience with Cricket Wireless, specifically with a representative named Alejandro from the Office of the President. From the beginning, Alejandro was unhelpful, dismissive, and displayed highly unprofessional behavior. His tone was condescending and laced with what felt like racial bias, which made the interaction not only unpleasant but deeply disrespectful.
What’s worse, he falsely accused me of not receiving a phone, despite the fact that another representative in his position previously admitted the phone had been delivered to the wrong address. This means Cricket was clearly at fault, yet Alejandro chose to gaslight me rather than provide a solution. His behavior came off as deceitful and evasive, with no interest in resolving the issue. He closed my case without assisting me, despite earlier promises from the company that the matter would be addressed.
This is unacceptable customer service, especially from someone in a position that is supposed to handle escalated concerns with professionalism and care. The lack of accountability and integrity is astounding. If you’re considering Cricket Wireless — please reconsider. There are many better companies out there who actually value their customers and operate with fairness and respect.

As a result, I was forced to pay $205 for a single month’s bill without any regard for my financial difficulties. It’s worth mentioning that I have three lines with them. This is how they treat their customers—it's simply unacceptable.

They charge more money when you need more time to pay your bill. They don’t work with you to arrange a future payment (like in several days time). They charge you upfront and then they also say pay the other half later, but the other half includes either a late fee or a disconnect fee, not sure which one, but it’s a fee of some kind.

I have been with Cricket for several years. I recently traveled out of the courtyard for a couple of months. There was a problem with my autopay card (it was cancelled due suspicious activity) and my bill was not paid. I got back from my trip and I no longer have an account with cricket and they gave my long term number to someone else. Their policy is to recycle your number after 29 days!!! Standard is 90 days. Absolutely terrible. I will never use Cricket again.

We bought a phone six months ago and then she called me (she lives in a nursing home) to say it was not booting up. When I looked at it it said that it could not boot because it was corrupted. We took the phone to a cricket store and after the cricket employee messed with it for a while and could not fix it she called two other stores. After she got off the phone with them she proceeded to tell us that she must have hit the wrong thing. She told us that they was unable to fix the problem or replace the phone. She suggested that we take it to Geek Squad and have them fix it. We have been with cricket on and off for several years and the customer service is only getting worse. If I could give it a zero I would. But unfortunately I'm not given that option.

I’ve been a cricket “ATT” customer. Bridge pay is good only if it works! Trying to get my bridge payment completed. Website payment issues. Charged twice. Life is too much. Only for the shady bank chase who I asked to reverse one charge since cricket website over charges me for 2 payments to find out both payments were reversed!. But the incompetent rep at chase. Said it would be fixed. I was always impressed with cricket. I change my mind.

I've been a loyal customer for years with Cricket. Unfortunately I think the time has come to part ways. Constant issues with the app, with talking to customer support. And even getting upgrade info. I used to love cricket but not anymore. I see it's time to move on. Maybe they will fix the issues they have but it's slowly getting worse.

My issue with Cricket is that you never get approved for a upgrade as they promote. No matter how many years you've been a loyal customer you end up unapproved every time you apply for a upgrade. I question what does it take to be Eligible for a upgrade for a new phone because I've tried numerous of times and I've been denied. I wonder how come they're the only company that makes it so hard to upgrade after years of being a loyal customer? I'm seriously thinking about leaving as a loyal customer because it shouldn't be so hard to get approved for a upgrade and there's little to no deals and perks as it is with other phone carriers. I would continue a loyal customer if they consider that especially to loyal customers.

Cricket Wireless is a Scam. Their tactics are fraudulent with major false advertisements. They claim unlimited yet they only provide 2G/3G speed. And no, it's not because of the amount of people feeding off the cellphone towers. I do coding under the table and a lot of .... legal tapping and lets' just say the evidence I found can back me up when I say Imma be saving up for a very good lawyer that doesn't get intimidated by companies. They owe millions of people including myself a lot of money.

Customer service sucks, and constant billing issues. Overcharged several times and billed early in the autopay. I'd you call to speak with a representative you'll wait a very long time. If you get one it's a gamble on whether they will be helpful. Most the time they say it's your fault.

Do not trust them. They go into accts that are on set up pay beforehand and withdrawal before dates cause significant financial loss until it's completed and corrected but it's still there and the peanut burden of having to get it together because none of them speak English or can understand English. NEVER OPEN ON TIME, it's a constant confusion in that store. After what was done to me and my family I only hope that everybody takes their seniors when they have to go into that store and they watch every financial matter that occurs because those people will take advantage. If they take advantage of adult women and men like us can you imagine what they do to seniors? I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them and it's not that far.

Never did have a problem with Cricket until a few days ago. I pay Bridge Pay to keep my phone on. This was Tuesday. So Wednesday they cut off my phone. I couldn't call into work or family members. They said that I got 7 days to pay the rest of the bill. So I have to pay $45 for Bridge Pay. Then pay another $55 to turn my phone back on. Then they told me Friday that I have to pay 98$ to keep my phone on. They did me bad and I will be changing phone company.

I’ve been a customer for 15+ years and for the past few years dealing with Cricket has been the worst experience ever when dealing with customer service support. These agents they’ve chosen to take these calls should all be replaced. They are unprofessional, they’re not empathetic to any concerns I’ve had. They are not knowledgeable. I spent 8 hours today trying to resolve an issue that was faulted by them. They hang the phones up when they don’t have or know an answer. The supervisor are never available or they get their friends to pose as supervisors. One supervisor told me to go to an available Cricket store which is 25 minutes away from my home, just for the store clerk to tell me customer support would have to handle my issue. This was a technical issue on their end by the way. The store clerk told me they always send the customers to the stores just so they can get us off the phone. They need to send cricket jobs somewhere else for sure.
Me and five customers that I know of as of today has cancelled their service with cricket. Then when you try to contact someone outside of this horrible place, you can’t reach anyone else. The supervisors don’t even know anything. As long as I was on the call with them today you would’ve thought I worked for cricket! HORRIBLE SERVICE. Save your time going here. There are other phone companies that has way better affordable deals. They told me I was never enrolled in BridgePay. Down below is the proof I was enrolled and stated I was not and that it showed as a partial payment, doesn’t that sound like a technical error on their end? Which they have frequently. They also never informed their customers of a security breach, went three weeks with my phone not being able to make calls.

ZERO STARS - Do not ever use this company. My dad had a cell phone with him. After he passed away, I cancelled his service. But they decided to still charge his account afterwards. When I call them to get it fixed because they made the error, apparently they can't help me and I have to either go into a store or call my dad's bank to reverse the charges - all because I no longer have the pin when I thought all this was finalized when I called the first time.

Trust me almost $130 a month for two basic lines. Customer service is the very worst. They were very rude on the phone. I have never had a worst experience than dealing with cricket. Absolute nightmare. It was horrible. Degrading, embarrassing, made me feel totally disgusted with a knot in my stomach.

My husband and I went here to get some phones because we were told how "good" they were to their customers. Well, we were told that we could get a temp number for 7 days so we can try them out at our house because of where we live. When we did that, they told us that we can get our numbers ported from another carrier for free. So, we tried it for 5 or 6 days the phones worked great, so we go back to start the porting of our numbers, but we are told that we must pay to get them ported. Why tell someone that they can get numbers ported for free when they can't. So, I call customer service and tell them what happened. They tell me I need to speak to a manager about it, so they transfer me to one. I had to tell everything thing about how we were lied to about getting the numbers ported for free. He then proceeds to tell me that I would have to get a new sim card which is another thing I wasn't told by the sales rep.
So, he told me that because I was lied to so many times that he would waive all fees and even reimburse me for the sim card so I could get my phone with my number. I told him it would take me about an hour to get from my house to a Walmart to be able to get a SIM card kit. It ended up taking me almost 2 and half hours because every Walmart was out of them, I had to go to a target to get one. So, when I get home, I had to call back, and they couldn't find the manager I spoke with that told me he would waive all the fees. So, I was transferred to a different manager and that one tells me no they cannot waive any fees that I have to pay for everything. So now I have 2 phones that I cannot use because of all the lies that was told by several different Cricket reps.
I couldn't even pay the bill because what we were told it would be it was not. It was close to $100 when we were told it would be around $80 for 2 lines. All cricket wants is money money money. They will lie to you to while telling you what you will get when you are getting the phone. They will tell you what you want to know and here even if it's not the truth. Beware when you go to any cricket location or call cricket customer service. I am done being lied to, I will not be back to cricket. They could not pay me to get a phone from them.

Cricket Wireless is hands down one of the worst providers out there. I pay for 5G service, yet I’m constantly stuck on LTE—If I get a signal at all. The service is trash, slow, and unreliable. Customer service is even worse—Rude, unhelpful, and full of lies. I’ve been overcharged, misled, and ignored when I tried to fix the issues. It feels like dealing with crooks who only care about taking your money. This company is a complete scam. Save yourself the stress and go with a provider that actually delivers what you pay for.
