Updated on 05/03/2026: Spectrum is awful. I moved 2 weeks ago and have had service for 6 outta 14 days. Forget when ya call customer service. They are god awful terrible. I finally asked for a tech to come out and they are gonna charge me even though I haven’t had service for half the time I’ve been here. The tech Taron was absolutely awesome. So as of right now I am connected let’s see how long it last. If I lose it again I will be leaving spectrum and going to Starlink or Verizon.
Original Review: I moved to Maggie Valley, North Carolina, one week ago, I’ve lost service at least 10 times, and I can’t make phone calls. I called customer service. They are useless. I have to speak with a manager, and of course, no one was available. Your service is not awful, terrible and I will make it my mission to destroy you on every single social media platform possible.

Spectrum is a corporate scam. They've somehow become the most widely known internet provider in my area so people just default to using them not knowing they actually provide the worst internet speed for the price that you can get. Then they're going to double the price of you bill for the same awful internet, then when you go to cancel they're going to continue to charge you for the awful internet service even when you're not using it. I would recommend going without internet before I recommend Spectrum to someone.

Frequent outages. Spectrum offers an app to monitor status but after the last app updates all I see are advertisements. Online help is a robot, so no updated help there. The sad thing is, it's still the best service in Asheville unless you want to use Verizon. $$$!!!

Spectrum internet is amazing but the mobile phone service is complete bogus. They try to market you to get a new phone and don't ever say the word. Yes even if they agree that they won't send it if you say the word yes they'll end up sending it. I guess they must have copied my voice somehow and agreed to have the phone sent to my house and when I tried to return it back it was denied. I was told by Spectrum Mobile account was removed by a customer service agent named Daniel. Turns out a whole month ago it never was canceled and I'm now being charged for a phone I do not have. They're telling me that spectrum has never received the phone from UPS which I had dropped it off personally at the UPS location. This is definitely not a matter of fault with UPS. Honestly I would avoid any service to prevent being scammed the way I was.

I was with Spectrum for over 6 years, and was paying $85/month for just Internet. I switched to Verizon Internet because it is only $30/month and has faster speeds. Spectrum made it very difficult to cancel and offered deals that were never offered before. When I finally got the 3rd person to cancel service, it was 6 days after the new bill was issued. They expect me to pay for service for the whole future billing period! They don’t prorate the bill and they don’t tell you that when you cancel. I’m not paying for service I didn’t receive! Beware of their ripoff policies! I won’t be surprised if they are next for a class action lawsuit for stealing from customers!

I cancelled my Spectrum service March 30, 2026. The last day of the billing cycle was March 28, 2026. I was charged $95.50 for a full month's service. Spectrum is charging for services they are not providing. This is unethical business practice.

Absolutely the most hideous customer service of any provider! The wait times are unbelievable. There is no courtesy whatsoever for their customers. One of the most shadiest companies I have ever dealt with! They try to bill you for equipment that you don’t have give your neighbors a lower price on Internet than what they charge you. Anytime you call them with a problem. They never resolve it and God forbid you have to walk into one of their stores. The wait time is absurd before anyone ever tries to help you with whatever it is that you need from returning equipment to purchasing a new phone. Would not recommend this company at all ever. Been a customer for six years now and I’m getting ready to move my Internet and phone to someone else because of how they treat their customers.

Be very wary of Spectrum TV and Internet cancellations. Plan to pay a full extra month of "Subscription" Billing fees even if you are 1 day past the billing cycle. They will Not prorate billing even though equipment has been turned in and it is impossible to use internet service. This is Unfair treatment and a disservice to good customers.

This is a company whose business model is based upon fraud. Time & again I've been lied to by customer service reps that tell you a specific price for a specific service package. Those assurances are NEVER delivered upon. I don't know if they train their staff to lie to customers or their staff is simply incompetent...or both.

Well, It's always a really bad experience when you get involved with a really bad company. Just hung up the phone with a Spectrum Customer Service Rep (third call within last 6 weeks, dealing with this company). Read Carefully, if you don't want to experience aggravation like I am dealing with, get a different provider. 6 weeks ago, after raising my rates, I contracted with one of their competitors, returned their equipment, and called and canceled the service (or so I thought). The Customer Service rep was adamant about not being told that he was wasting his time pitching me on why I should keep their service at a significantly lower price than what they had just raised my rates to.
After the third time he continued on after me telling him that I was done with Spectrum, I hung up since it was obvious he was NOT going to be dissuaded. Earlier today I received another bill (at the higher rates) and when I called customer service I was told that since I hung up before they ended my service that there was nothing he could do about this added $80 bill. I have my own protocols - I don't do business with companies that act like this or with companies that aggravate me! AND I don't pay $80 for service that I canceled and did not use. Good luck to these ** and Good luck to you if you choose to do business with them.

We have had Spectrum for a long time. Never would I of thought we would be paying over $300 + for our package. Seems like the longer you have been on it the price would go DOWN! NOT only that, your latest commercial with the rapper dude makes absolutely no sense. It gets on my nerves so bad. It's just not relatable to any age group. It's just so STUPID!!! PLEASE CONSIDER REMOVAL OF THIS COMMERCIAL and put something on there that can be related to many different age groups.
To be honest, I am ashamed to tell people that I pay that price and have to watch that kind of junk. Please consider removing that commercial. I'm surprised you haven't had more complaints. Although we have complained about the price, Spectrum tells us there is nothing they can do about it. There are things that can be done, Spectrum just doesn't want to give up that MONEY! As I said before I am ashamed to admit I have SPECTRUM!! Help us folks out that struggle month to month. You know how the times are. Help us out PLEASE!!

De Asia, the customer service rep from Greensboro help me tremendously today. She is awesome at her job as I am moving from Knoxville Tennessee to Charlotte. She helped me not only was setting up my Internet with my new apartment but also giving me places of interest in Charlotte to go check out.

We as a society need to stop corporations for charging us the full price when we move our due date that may fall before your next due date. In other words If I had to move my due date, due to a tragic event and that date fall earlier than your normal due date, SPECTRUM will not charge you only for the short days (Pro-Rate). They will charge you the full month price. Well guess what America. That's theft. I call it as I see it. CHARGE WHAT YOU SERVE ONLY.

Beyond garbage company. The technician was supposed to be here between 10 and 11. It is now one: 30, and he has nowhere to be found. I called Spectrum for updates and get nothing but lies. I was told he turned onto the street to the beginning of my neighborhood. That means I should receive a call from security in just a few minutes. No call from security. I will be switching to one of their competitors as soon as I can. I do not recommend this garbage company. This doesn’t even count the fact that I had spectrum in another location and in five weeks had two outages.

Spectrum sent mobile 📱 phone and hackers at the same time order the phone us. Soon got home within one minute I had spectrum a call with spectrum agent told me to return the phone to FedEx because the phone was defected. Please 🙏 don't trust spectrum. Now I am paying the phone which I don't have . Spectrum equal to hackers.

Terrible, constant outages and terrible customer service. The internet is bipolar and just shuts down for no reason. $60 a month is NOT worth it. Never get Spectrum, save it as a last resort.

When I tried to cancel my services, the company pressured me to provide the new tenant’s name and contact information so they could sign them up. They told me that if the new tenant agreed to use their services, they would waive the required three-month cancellation notice and associated fees. Otherwise, I would still be responsible for paying for three additional months before they would process the cancellation.
This condition was never disclosed when I initially signed up, which makes the situation feel misleading and unfair. It’s especially concerning that they attempted to leverage my obligation to obtain someone else’s private contact information. Overall, I find this business practice unethical and disappointing. Because of this experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend their services to others.

It’s below average. Probably even worse than that. Constant internet outages, the worse one lasting an ENTIRE WEEK. Don’t get Spectrum, if you can afford anything else, get that instead. You’re better off using Cricket Data then Spectrum’s WiFi.

I give it a 1 because it does not go any lower. My internet is constantly out for days at a time. The phone does not work but the tv sometimes does. Yet the bill is over 300 a month. I have health issues so I need the phone to work. It might come back on around 10 or so at night. My neighbors have the same issue. The techs have been here twice. It is not in my house. It is in their line somewhere. I am on a budget. I don't have money to waste. Unfortunately there are no other choices where I live. Verizon is still working to add lines. Once they do I am cancelling this service.

We live in Palmyra, Indiana in Harrison County. We have no Internet. We have not had Internet for 15 hours. Our Internet went out at 8:40 Saturday night. We were in the middle of watching a movie with our kids for Easter weekend break and it went off. We called and reported it. They told us it was gonna be an hour then they told us I’d be back on before 12:30 in the morning and then the first time we called they said it was a power outage and we had power so clearly was not a power outage. Waited until about 1 AM. Still no Internet and we use apps to watch TV on so we literally have our kids home for Easter weekend, people in our house and no TV and a lot of people cell phones run off our Internet. It automatically connects and won’t let you use their AT&T signal so now we don’t even have cell cellphones to use to look at the Internet because it won’t let go on the Internet without having it connected to our Wi-Fi.
Then we called and they said a technician was looking into it and they were doing an update. An update takes 4 to 5 hours. Does not take over 14 hours. Called again at 10 AM on Sunday Easter Sunday. Demanded to speak to a supervisor. This supervisor told us there were several people out in our area and they were trying to fix the problem, but our cable doesn’t run off the same as everybody else’s. Ours runs off of our cable that runs off our telephone pole. That’s right in the edge of our woods and not one person‘s been out here because it’s Easter weekend and everybody’s closed and they’re just feeding everybody a bunch of crap and still no Internet. We’ve been with Spectrum for 10 years. It has never took 14 hours or longer to get our Internet back on. They usually drive right up our road, walk across our yard and mess with the redo the cable and fix it and then it’s back on.
Nobody has been back here on our road and we are just getting ignored and lied to and getting fed a bunch of crap. They know that they have nobody out here to fix it and they’re telling people I was getting fixed. It’s getting fixed and nobody’s been back here to fix it. I know several people live on the same road with us and their Internet‘s working. We rebooted our boxes and everything and it did not work so it has to be the cable outside of our house and they refuse to send anybody out here or to tell us if they’re going to send anybody out here. Every time we call we get told something completely different. They demanded a ticket which when they give you a ticket and you demand one on it is to put it down to make sure it gets fixed immediately. We asked for that last night at 10:30 at night and they did not do it.
Worst company ever. Got a bunch of ** working for that. Don’t even know what’s going on and keep telling people they’re doing all this other stuff whether there ain’t one person out here. So now my kids are on Easter break and can’t even do anything because it’s wet nasty outside and we can’t even watch TV. We’re literally staring at the wall and on top of that, one of my kids are sick so he literally can’t do anything but laying in bed and watch TV and he can’t even do that so he’s a little bit laying there sick wouldn’t can’t do nothing. Nice job Spectrum. Nice to see where your customers lay.

We live in Missouri and were vacationing in Florida when a Spectrum salesman stopped us and said he could get a a better deal no matter what we paid. So, we upgraded and were told we would be paying $15.00 less per month. Unfortunately, instead of upgrading, he opened a new account. Needless to say, it has been quite a mess to get it straightened out. Our local store told us what he did was “fraudulent.” “The salesman opened a new account to get the bonus for himself.” The salesman gave me his “direct number” but it routes to Spectrum Customer Service. I hope someone contacts me about this.

Yes, they will try to help you get better connection. However, they failed after five months. I called the disconnect today. I was told that I still have to pay the rest of the billing cycle, which is a month. From March 31 to April 28, that’s a whole month that I still have to pay. But I do have to return the equipment within 14 days, they will not credit you for the days you do not use the Internet. Scammers.

I signed up for the best package they had, it came with all the bells and whistles...streaming services check, fast internet check, streaming channels check, mobile service check. I was told my address was serviceable for Internet and had an install date set up and was very happy with everything I was gonna be getting for the next 3 years! Then it all came crashing down. Was told my address is in fact not serviceable and my install was cancelled and all the streaming services were cut off, all the streaming channels cut off... All I had left was mobile, and they wouldn't even give me any kind of courtesy discount for the screw up...just an "I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry, nothing we can do." I left Verizon after being with them for 20 years, and they couldn't even give me a special deal on the service I decided to keep with them...I'm a very disappointed customer.

After being promised, I would get $200 on my old phone, I sent the old phone in. I got an email yesterday saying they had to re-adjust the amount. The phone worked well without any cosmetic damage. He lied to me. Now I have no recourse. I have to take whatever they decide, they’re not to be trusted.

Representative was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave clear simple directions and stayed on the phone to make sure everything transferred smoothly and was working correctly. I spoke to the representative and told them what I needed and they were able to help get me connected with little effort. The product that I had I bought from Apple was the iPad Pro 1Tb which wasn’t sold by Spectrum. Even though I Colby from them they were able to set up for me with cellular service.

I switched from Spectrum Mobile to a different provider on February the 26th, the same day I called customer service and asked the PIN transfer number, so I can connect my device with another company. They told me that as soon as I got connected with the other provider my line was going to be cancelled automatically, that it was impossible to have 2 providers on the same device. And that on March the 4th the last payment was going to be deducted from my account. Yesterday I found out that my phone has not been disconnected even though I have had service with my new provider since February 26th, so now I’ve been charged with another payment (due on April) just because they didn’t disconnect my line. I called customer service, but they couldn’t help. Some of their agents are not well trained. They don’t know what they’re doing.

In the process of trying to move my landline. I had with T- Mobile. I lost it. Not happy with the xmio. I will change to pick 15 with local channels. The person that sold me the package came after dark (salesman name Terry **) **. I lost my land line that was very important to me.

I switched 3 mobile lines from Verizon to Spectrum and bundled the Spectrum mobile plan with my existing Spectrum home internet. I'm saving quite a bit of money by doing that because both the mobile costs and home internet costs went down. I'll save about $2,500 total over the course of 24 months! The process was a lot easier than I thought and Spectrum's customer representative was very knowledgeable about the process and walked me through everything.

Over 1 hour to disconnect mobile with auto pay and over 1 hour for internet, plus the money and credit card they will take it from you as much as they can until you finish talking to them for all these 2hours. No chat available. I will never go again with Spectrum because of this disconnection service. Bad customer service, you get to speak 4-5 different people one department to another and is asking the same question reasons for disconnection and its hard on customers' end to stop payment because they get hold of your credit card. The customer service in billing and disconnection never improved customer satisfaction over the phone. It was making it worst. It was a looong horrible process. I should have known this before I started with them, they have excellent sales service but when customer have concerns such as this, they will make it hard,
When customer leave, spectrum mark a worst impression ever that it will never encourage customers to go back because of too much time them battling over your money and you to stay with them! They have million questions. Why disconnect and it doesn't seem to help the customer. So don't give them autopay with promotions. Unfortunately, it's their catch to hold customer so that they have more sales... It's all because they only care for the profit!

Beware the billing game. Made an inquiry as to rate increase on my bill and after lengthy online exchange was offered a "better" package at the old rate. Email confirmation and plan changes took place on the same day with what cost would be. Billing came at the higher rate. Spent half day with robots, online agents and waiting for team leaders to respond. Bottom line, after 5 years of service with autopay they will lose a customer for $5.

The experience usually starts great with a low "introductory" price. However, exactly 12 months later, you’ll likely see a significant price hike (often $20–$30 more). Getting back to that original rate usually requires a long, frustrating phone call with their retention department. Additionally, while the internet is stable, their Wi-Fi routers can be hit-or-miss; many users find they get better coverage by buying their own equipment.

I have cancelled my phone service for three months already, but Spectrum still charge my credit card every month, I called them and went to their store to repot this illegal fee charges, this month charged again, so I have to contact my Chase Bank to refund back every month.

Ms ** at customer service was awesome, helped me out with porting of my number and made the process very simple. The website pricing is deceiving- as I was trying to purchase a 2nd line - get a new phone, and it said $6 per month for 36 months, or I could buy outright $220 and some. When I got the email confirmation, the price jumped up to $17 per month, and when I called customer service, Adele explained the $6 price is for a brand new mobile customer. I explained I am a brand new customer! I did the porting of my line and added the new on the same day, 3/19/26. I wish you would honor the pricing that was offered to me when I inquired about available services.

The worst cable and internet service provider. That’s all too much to put in here. Try it and you will see. Overcharging, under serviced, bad customer service. They promised me a discount if I got cell and internet and for 2 months I kept calling because I wasn’t getting what was advertised to me and advertised on internet. They finally fixed it after almost 2 months and don’t want to go back and give me the discount advertised and sold to me.

I would have never transferred to Spectrum if I had been given the correct information. I was lied to about the $500 buyout for our tablet. I paid off my tablet with Verizon and then when requesting reimbursement, I was told they no longer do that. I asked for a supervisor and the agent refused to let me talk to a supervisor so I was forced to file a complaint with the Attorney General‘s office.

I am continually amazed at the quality of customer service this company provides. Whether they talk me through something on the phone, come to my house, or I see someone at the local office, they’re always polite and absolutely know their stuff. I couldn’t be more pleased with Spectrum.

The Customer Service experience is terrible due to required approvals of different departments if you have a compound or complex issue. I first visited the online URL site to resolve my issue. No resolution. I then went to the local Spectrum store - They referred me to a telephone number - No resolution. I called the phone number and spoke to an agent - No resolution. I escalated to a manager (Leadership). The escalation to "Leadership" was also ineffective. The Leadership manager did not take ownership of the issue, instead he referred me to yet another department with a commitment that I will be called back in 3-5 business days. Spectrum needs to stop passing the ball of responsibility and get to the business of keeping customers happy and above all operate with a sense urgency, diligence and ownership of the problem.

After being with Verizon mobile for 30 plus years, I decided to take an offer from Spectrum mobile. I went to their service store where they activated my phone and put in the pin code to transfer my old mobile number from Verizon to Spectrum. A few days later, Spectrum changed my phone number to a new number without my knowledge and never told me they changed it! They never even told me the new number. I had to find out 4 days later when people started knocking on my door saying that they have trying to call and text me!!! Spectrum has broken Federal law that says a consumer has the right to change mobile phone carriers and must be allowed to transfer their phone number to the new carrier! I will be consulting an attorney.

If you are looking for false advertising, Spectrum is your place. When logged into your personal account, they will suggest deals to bundle phone and home internet. Beware. These do not apply to your account and will cost hundreds more than advertised. Representatives do not have the ability to honor the advertised price, and the company as a whole is unwilling to do so.

My experience from the beginning was great. Starting with the tv and internet line, and then with the transfer of my mobile numbers. All the agents were very helpful, friendly ,patient, and knowledgeable. I have never received such orderly communication between departments and other team members from any company before. They made proper notes of everything, and they actually call me to complete the process with their phone buyout program.

The mobile service representatives only care about upselling and quotas. They did not inform me that my android phone had an eSIM. So there was no point in continuing with porting over my phone, since it would be impossible to activate. Now I have no phone service until I return to my original carrier. I hope they port my phone back with the same quickness they received. And I am returning their upgrade box unopened. They had no problem placing a another 50 dollar charge to my current account.

Easy process. Was happy to get the sim card to transfer so Spectrum would be my new provider instead of Straight talk. I also had a great experience with the lady customer resolution agent Amisha. I was able to leave the package of spending $105 to only spending $60 per month and get one line of free mobile service. This new package will not reflect on my account to April 28th since Spectrum always bills one month ahead. I still have to pay $105 on March 28. I'm just happy to add mobile to my Spectrum account.

Leaving me with a phone that had no service from spectrum or AT&T, plus no wifi!! I was very upset with the process. Plus my cell service is terrible everywhere I go now. And there's no 5G.

It was very painful to switch from Verizon to Spectrum. Mostly on the Spectrum side. It took hours on the phone and personal research because the Spectrum reps gave me wrong information on the rates. One of them had a really bad attitude. Reminds me of the crappy service from Time Warner Cable. Com’ on! Please do better. I hope the savings will actually happen and the pain will have been worth it.

I switched from AT&T to Spectrum and bought new phones. One transferred fine, the second one I had difficulty. I called Spectrum Technical Support. The gentleman who answered my call walked me through the process step by step - and stayed with me to ensure that from start to finish, everything was completed. In fact, after it finally activated and everything transferred over, he called me to ensure that my number had been transferred and the phone was working. I just transferred a paid off phone and the number I have had forever from T-Mobile to Spectrum. I had poor text service for a month at T-Mobile and they screwed up the transfer pin issuance. The Spectrum rep understood immediately what the issue was. Walked me through the activation and number transfer process, and even told me what questions to ask T-Mobile to get the whole transfer process completed. Just really excellent customer service. One of the best experiences I have ever had.

I can’t believe how bad customer service is these days. What happened to doing what you say you’re going to do??? Long story short.. I have a Spectrum box impeding my driveway. It was a foot away and ironically, I’M NOT A SPECTRUM CUSTOMER. I’ve lost hair fighting to get them to move it. They finally show up and move it literally 6 inches. (And don’t solve the freakin problem!!!!) My initial contact was January 5th. I’ve had 3 different customer service peeps tell me they’ve “escalated their issue”… whatever that means. I would like to start off and say I switched from AT&T and I paid off all of my devices the same day I switched over to Spectrum. Customer service was very helpful with my understanding and situations. I can say as quick as I switched over and paid off all my phones I switched over 3 lines and received $1,500 within the next day! Couldn’t be any more happier with the buyback program and not only did they offer that I got a mobile spectrum deal where I'm only paying $60 for three lines, the 3rd line is free for a year with the promotion I received. Not only that I’m no longer spending $300 monthly on 3 phones which two are iPhone 17 and one 14 but thanks to spectrum I’m %100 recommend making the switch. Therefore, I asked another employee “Excuse me, I have a question” but he made a bad face and yelled me “I don’t understand you” 4 times. I was told my phone was unlocked and that it would be easy but they would call me personally and got me back through it but I missed the one call I got back and they didn't try again. So after I got a text that said I'm now being billed I thought I'd try it myself and I'm apparently activated because I got a new phone number for it but I can't use it to make calls because it's locked and I'm guessing that it's going to take two one hour phone calls to people that barely speak English and I'm still going to get nowhere and I'm just disgusted right now and don't even want to screw with it, so I've got a tablet that I can use on my Wi-Fi. I was about to disconnect my internet service when they offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse. Everyone I spoke to was helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. There were some hiccups with porting from my old provider, but none of it was due to anything on the Spectrum side. I think Spectrum is more responsive now that they have competition.

I had some issues along the way with things associated with my Spectrum account but every step of the way I had excellent help from people who were kind and patient. So far I chose Spectrum over T-Mobile. So far the Sims card took 4 days to be delivered and I had to contact T-Mobile again. Sims card didn't work and now I have to go without a phone. I've ran a business for 12 years and first time ever that I will not be available for my clients. I'm a single mom and still not be available for my child. I don't know if I made the right decision.

Very horrible, was with them for 30 plus years, internet issues, call tech support, end up getting the run around, was on the phone forever, then transfer us to someone who was trying to sell us something when we were just trying to get our service restored, after a hour, finally did it online, they had to send us new equipment because the new stuff we recently were sent wasn't working, I had enough at that point, worse customer service I have ever dealt with, they have really went down hill and it's no wonder they are losing customers at the current rate, avoid them like the plague.

Do not buy into their nonsense! I have had nothing but problems with this company since I switched over to them!! Spotty coverage, my service is on and constantly. I have had their techs out many times. That were going to shut my service off because they said I didn’t pay my bill, when I proved to them that they cashed the check they still made me pay almost $200 to keep my service going. They said that they were going to look into it and get back to me in a couple of days. One week later still hadn’t heard anything back. I called them and they told me my account was paid up but nothing about a credit! After spending an hour on the phone t was finally told that yes it was their mistake and I did have a credit. They get your business and then nothing but trouble!!!

This has been the worst support experience I’ve had. The representative, Melissa, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the issue, she offered a $10 credit for ongoing intermittent internet problems, including severe packet loss and high latency. The speeds I’m getting directly from the modem are far below what I’m paying for. When I raised this concern, I was told I would need to call every single time the issue occurs. Since starting the service on February 19, I’ve experienced problems almost every other day. Being told to repeatedly call support for a recurring issue is unacceptable. Overall, very disappointing service and poor customer support.

So I was Spectrum customer for several years over which my WIFI service change was increased from $55 to $75 a month. I contacted Spectrum and asked if they can give me better deals as I see deals at other providers who offer service for $35 a month. They told me they can't do anything and when I said ok I might need to cancel my service the guy on chat responded with "If you want to cancel that's your decision".
I transferred to different provider and now believe it or not I pay $20 a month. So Spectrum calls me to check why I cancelled and I explain that I tried to get them to lower my cost and they simply told me to cancel if I want. Lady on the phone said, "Sorry about that. Maybe we can give you better price now," to which I responded "Thank you but I'm not interested in Spectrum anymore". And guess what she does? She hangs up on me. NO response, no goodbye, just hangs up on customer she's trying to get. This is unbelievably unprofessional company that needs complete change. I will definitely not go back to them, EVER. If people I spoke to were at least polite I wouldn't be leaving this review. But this is how they do business and how they treat their customers.

I recently added phone service to my internet plan with Spectrum through what was presented as a loyalty offer, aka 12 month promotion. While the price sounded good, the sales experience lacked transparency. The representative focused heavily on getting me to switch phone providers rather than clearly explaining the service details, including whether my internet speed or data would change after the first year. I was told everything would be outlined in a follow-up email, but that never happened.
Once the transfer was processed, I was told to call Verizon for a transfer PIN and then call Spectrum back to complete transfer. Verizon customer service was closed and I had to retrieve the PIN through their app and complete the order online myself. That process could have easily been done while I was on the phone with the representative, but he quickly ended the call once the “sale” was made. The pricing may be fine, but the lack of clear information and follow-through made the experience feel rushed and misleading. Customers deserve better transparency when making service changes.

I ordered Spectrum on the phone. I was assured by the associate that any installer was coming and she waived install fee. Got an E Mail this morning that the equipment is coming through the mail. I called, there is no installer coming. My husband and I are 66, not into the modern technology. I would not have signed up for this had I known. She lied to me. I wonder what else she lied about, price is supposed to be 55 a month.

My experience with Spectrum was exceptional due in part to representative ** at the Spectrum store located at 523 Fulton Street in Brooklyn, NY. I mean this woman worked tirelessly helping me upgrade my service. I had various issues with some parts of the upgrade but ** fixed the problems. She presented promotions and offers being given by Spectrum which I liked and excepted. I also had some issues with address correction which she was able to correct. I am very happy with my upgrade. Internet with Spectrum goes out every two weeks for longer than 8hrs at a time and I pay for 5g service. This has been going on for 5yrs. We want Verizon but we are in a spot that only spectrum is allowed. This is not right and if we had a choice, we’d gladly say good riddance to Spectrum internet and phone!

I had the best experience I’ve ever had in a wireless communication store. The assistant manager, the floor lead, and the entire team were outstanding from the moment I walked in. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making sure my Spectrum Mobile service activation went smoothly. The assistant manager took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure there were no surprises. The floor lead was incredibly organized and kept the process moving efficiently while still making sure every question was answered. The other associates were just as impressive friendly, patient, and extremely helpful.
What stood out most was the teamwork. You can tell this store runs on strong leadership and a culture of helping customers the right way. I’ve activated phones at a lot of places over the years, and this was by far the smoothest and most professional experience I’ve ever had. DJ Chef approved. I switched to Spectrum provider. I wanted to keep my same number and had to do a Spectrum mobile activation. I called Spectrum to let them know that I still think cloud is something that brings rain and I needed help. Spectrum representative was very polite and patient. God bless her heart. After about an hour we still couldn’t get the Spectrum mobile activation generated. Then this kind representative said she would send me a Spectrum chat link to chat with another agent and she did. The internet sucks, so we decided to cancel, and that's when it all went down the drain. We then returned the equipment we had rented, one 2.5 router, and paid for the remaining services in addition to other equipment we could not find to return. Spectrum is claiming that we did not return the router and is only now contacting us about it. Spectrum has not attempted to resolve the problem they simply asked us if we had a receipt, and when we said no, that it had been 7 months, and that we had no knowledge that there were any issues, and so has not kept it and so they sent us to collection. As far as we're aware, they made no attempt to determine if we had returned anything or if the store still had it.
Some additional information is that they claimed to have given us a more powerful router, a 5G one, but we never received it. We only figured this out after we canceled. I suspect that part of this issue is that they believe we have the 5G router, when this is something we were never given, and we returned the 2.5 router. The reason why we had the 2.5 router is that when we originally got Spectrum installed, the installer had run out of up-to-date routers and so gave us an older one to use and said that they would get us a more up-to-date one, but that never happened, and we never followed up because the internet worked.

Spectrum mobile is the WORST. Do. Not. Use. 👇 1. Three years ago I went IN store, paid off my phone to trade it for a new one. The employee paid off the wrong phone. There was "nothing they could do", I could upgrade that device (which wasn't mine) or pay off my phone also, and buy the new phone. So I left Spectrum. Now here we are. 3 years later I came back. 2 MONTHS AGO.
2. I pre-ordered the s26 ultra online (Feb. 27th) because that allowed for me to get double storage for the same price. Worth it- I need the storage for work content. The taxes I paid hadn't come out of my account but everything said it would when it shipped on the release date. March 11th comes around and I call because that was the delivery date but the money hadn't come out yet. "Online ordering hasn't been working. But I see the promotion so we can go ahead and place the order now." Great! No problem, do it. The phone comes in and is it not the double storage. I realized this when just swapping phones put it at 60% full. I call and find out because the promo ended on the 10th- since the system didn't actually place the order it wasn't applicable anymore.
Even though when I was on the phone and placed this order again, I said I DO NOT want it if it is not the 512g because that is WHY I am upgrading. I was assured it was. It was not! There is no way to get it with the promo so I give up and say I will just return this for the correct phone & pay the difference. They are charging a $50 restocking fee. I transfered the esim and all of my stuff, saw it took up over half the storage and immediately called them. I can't place the order online- I obviously tried that. I HAD to have them place it for me. And THEY ordered the wrong phone. Quoted the wrong price. Etc.
I'm willing to pay the couple hundred $ difference yet I have to pay a restocking fee for THEM ordering the wrong phone. 🙃 I have NEVER had a good experience with them and was actually surprised when this order was placed again on the 11th that it went as well as it did. Of course it didn't, though. 🤣 They keep blaming Samsung. But it's only ever been an issue with spectrum.

Great customer service and keep their word unlike t-mobile. 20 year customer they didn’t care about that. Just wanted to keep raising my phone bill. Promised to fix it but after 3 months they didn’t so I made the switch. Best move I ever made.

I had issues with the original SIM card, had to drive an hour to get another card. There was no other way to get a SIM card the next day, so the closest location was a long drive in the rain. Once I arrived at the store I was in and out within 15 minutes.

Buying a cell phone from a Spectrum store was very easy, I paid outright for the phone a nice samsung A16, as at that time with spectrum internet I felt a good deal, however 30 days into the plan I found I could save money with another carrier. Upon trying to add this new carrier I was told although I own the phone outright I could not change carries until I had the phone for 60 days with spectrum or the phone would be locked out of any service for that time. I owned this phone, so it was being held for ransom for the remainder of the 60 day period. Consider you bought a car for cash and were told if you didn't buy a certain brand of gas they the automobile shop would electronically lock your engine for a period of time!

Company doesn't keep word on phone buy out reimbursement. I spent $2125 to switch to Spectrum and they said I'm late. They give you 7 days which is impossible to do with 4 phones in different states. They know this. It's flat out false advertising and dealing in bad faith. It took days to cut over service. When phones were cut over all phone were unusable. Had to contact customer support on a friend's phone which took and 3 hours to fix problem. I was on the phone with spectrum rep as he cut phone over and I was instantly disconnected mid sentence. Clueless....

Spectrum needs to ensure seniors that SIM cards are already installed in new phones. Spectrum needs to keep their delivery promises. Spectrum does have very nice customer service representatives for assistance. Spectrum's first year free & new phone payments are great.

Setting up new service was the easiest and quickest process I have ever experienced! Almost too good to be true, honestly. I needed service for my kids to have a phone and the deal offered right now is free service with internet. Turns out that my mother is paying nearly $100 just for Internet and wifi and Spectrum is charging only $35. I had no choice but to take the deal.

Spectrum’s customer service and technical support representatives are wonderful to talk to and helped me get everything up and running. Although it took several hours of waiting for their system to get back online, their customer service representative did a great job of keeping me updated. The service tech took his time finding the problem behind the inactive modem and then explained the cause before leaving.

Just when you think you have found a good alternative to Verizon because the salesman says there is absolutely no throttling going on and I would go from my unlimited program in Verizon to your Unlimited program. But of course as we both know now you're unlimited means for the first 30 gig only. That is not unlimited. That's what is called restricted. Your misleading tactics have left a bad taste in my mouth as a new customer.

I have both Spectrum internet and mobile. The internet installer even had to drill holes in an exterior wall. It was done quickly and professionally. The mobile service is excellent, and every call I’ve made to set up my mobile service (3 lines) has been speedy, professional and effective. The price is better than I’d have imagined. I pay (per month) $10, $35 and $0. Yes, zero for the first year on my third line. Spectrum saved me $75/month. I was paying about $40 for each line.

One of the customers service they call “solution department” the representative is very friendly and helpful. They solve my problem very fast and efficient. They are very patience and teaching me how to set up my new phone line service. Very clear directions and I just need to follow their guidelines to finished the setup.

I switched my mobile service to Spectrum. I had problems so I contacted reps multiple times. Say they're working on the problem but I still have no mobile service. Was charged for the service in advance and still the problem hasn't been fixed.

We moved 2 formerly Verizon cell phone accounts over to Spectrum. It was an emotional difficult decision but financially we just could not stay with Verizon. We were with Verizon for 21 years and while they aggressively courted new customers with great incentives they did precious little for our legacy account. Finally, at my husband's urging and taking the initiative we made the move. Our initial savings is $1,200 yearly. $100 per month.

The salesperson was very helpful, nice and seemed knowledgeable. But as of the installation, it was one problem after another. Multiple and confusing emails that depicted different $$ amounts were due; no instructions or explanations of the equipment; challenges with the phone and internet workings, and I could not get logged on to the website or App. Finally, when another tech came to port my old phone number to new service, he walked me thru some issues, finally got logged on, and got some instructive emails from an agent via phone, things have at last calmed down a bit. Although I must say I dislike your remote control and suggest you find a better version to help your customers.

Inexcusable customer service. Even when phone call conversations are made and being recorded the customer is told they can’t find it (conversation) or no that’s not one of our promotions, etc. I specifically stated on first call to NOT make any changes to plan and would be calling the next day when more time was available as you want a very long time in between each person transferring the call. I called back the next day, agreed to a plan and everything was working as it should until I clicked on their emails that were legit - needed to upgrade equipment. Turns out the email reverted plan to one I specifically said NO to. I called again and after 2+ hrs with customer service and asked for a supervisor to review these calls. Was advised would receive a call back from a supervisor within 48 hrs. It’s now been a WEEK!

Spectrum people live in some kind of bubble. They all find it very hard to believe that some of us have poor or no cellular service. They try to help and keep asking, “Do you see 4G or 5G?” Hey, I’m happy to get a tiny bar over on the left. I might be able to get 911!

Cancelled T mobile after 8 years because there home internet was inconsistent. It would freeze or drop out. Their prices escalated and despite numerous attempts to find an affordable alternative- I chose Spectrum. It was easy and fast to get my home internet set up and my phone on their service.

I was conned into doing a mobile buyout program moving my services from T-Mobile to spectrum and was promised I would be reimbursed within 48 hours. They said that I opted out out of the buyout program and that’s the only reason that I switched services. Now it’s gonna take over two weeks for me to get my $800 refunded.

I recently switched my cell phone service from Metro PCS to Spectrum and decided to keep my device. After receiving my Sim card in the mail, I called Spectrum mobile support to get them to help me activate it. I was transferred to Fernando (I think that was his name), and he was the best part of the process. He was absolutely amazing and freakishly, but refreshingly, patient (LOL) with me while guiding me through the activation process.
From patiently waiting on one line while I chatted with Metro PCS on another line to inquire about my phone being locked or not, and to get my account info, to guiding me on finding the IMEI number to inserting the Sim card. He provided exceptional customer service, was knowledgeable and most of all, resolved the issue and got me connected! I usually don't do reviews, but because of his support and going above and beyond, I actually inquired about a survey just so I could shout him out. Establishing and retaining customer relationships and satisfaction can be made or broken by how customer service provides professional, courteous and helpful customer service, and Fernando did that and more!
If he had been inpatient, rude, disrespectful or had no clue of what he was doing, I wouldn't have had any problem returning their Sim card and canceling the service before it got started, but because of his exceptional customer service, I am a new and satisfied mobile customer. He deserves a raise for sure and should definitely be a trainer because he knows mobile activations, but most importantly, he knows how customer service and support should be done!👏

Upgrade phone. My old one was junk and I was with T Mobile. Went in store to make my purchase. Agent that helped me was very knowledgeable and bundled my services. Got to keep my number and switched my mobile service from T Mobile and now I am saving $120 a month by making the switch. I had internet only with Spectrum and I am saving a lot by switching to Spectrum. So glad I went in to the store to make purchase.

I wanted to switch my mobile phone service over to Spectrum and continue having the same phone number. But I'm completely phone tech illiterate. So I was terrified of having to setup and activate it on my own. Everyone I spoke with via telephone was super friendly, polite and didn't judge me for my lack of phone knowledge. They were all very patient when trying to help me. Once I got the correct information I needed to switch over, I decided to just go to the local store/office. The young man that assisted me was just as nice and polite as all of the people I spoke with over the phone. He had done everything to even include switching my SIM cards for me. And though he was quite a bit younger than me, he didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing what to do with my phone.

My experience with Spectrum in South Portland was amazing. The Manager Kyle, assistant manager John and the customer representative Andrew were the best service I had in a long time. From the time I checked in, I was greeted with such a nice hello. The sincere enthusiasm to answer my questions and make my welcoming as a new customer was wonderful. The follow up with emails were great. The whole experience was extremely professional and it made my day enjoyable. I even took a friend there the next day to sign up as well. She was amazed at the great customer service she got. I give the customer service an A+.

Well I got new internet services with you and the woman had hung up on me on purpose and took all of my cable and my cable box off of there and shut my cable box down. Did change it to my account without my permission. Stayed on hold and I'm not exaggerating for 5 hours with four different people the first day and then three different people on the second day. Nobody can answer my questions on the first day when I asked why these changes was made without my authorization. I think they should be fired the woman that made changes without my authorization.
I would not recommend this cable company to anybody but I'm sticking with them because that's the only thing I can get around here and the internet so no I never had no good experience. Altogether the two days I was on hold over 7 hours along with the talking to the workers there. And they lied to me about the pricing. Now I have to pay 208 and they priced me on the first day. At $187 and now it's 208 so no this is a screw job.

We had Spectrum internet in 2024. It would disconnect all the time. I decided to cancel Spectrum and get Socket because Socket had fiber. I called Spectrum to cancel in October 2024 and they kept me on the phone for 45 min. trying to get me to stay with them. Then they switched me to another department and another 20 min. arguing with them. Finally, they said they would cancel. About 6 months later, Spectrum said we owed them for like 4 months of service. I spoke to their Administration and she said it was taken care of. Now it's March 2026, and they have a collection of $205, they say we owe. Haven't heard from them for like a year now, all of a sudden we owe $205. This company is horrible! Do not trust them.

T-Mobile is so much easier to set up. Spectrum delivered the equipment late and it still doesn't work well. So now I am waiting for a technician to come to my apartment. I had T-Mobile up and running under 5 minutes.

I was offered a trade in credit for my current phone because based on the IMEI#, my 2021 Moto Stylus was not compatible. Now they already knew what phone I was sending in because they had the IMEI#. So I agree to purchase a new phone and get a credit for my old phone which was in excellent condition!! When they get the phone, they renege on their offer and then offer me ZERO for my old phone and then state they will mail back my old phone and will include material to mail back the new phone. Are you kidding me?? I have already moved my number over and cancelled service with my previous provider!!! I did everything right and now you are pulling out on your agreement??

My bill for 2 phone at tmobile was 180 a month, I went into a Spectrum store to see the price for our 2 phone and found out one of our lines would be free for an entire year! My 12 year old daughter wanted to keep her phone however I wanted to upgrade, unfortunately they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock and I was leaving for vacation in a few days. I was told to wait until I returned from vacation to order the phone so no porch pirates picked up my phone. My new bill is only $30 until I get my new phone!! Win win for me.

I am very pleased with the customer service I have received from the Spectrum in-store service representative as well as the over the phone CS and the install appointment. I am more pleased with the affordability that spectrum is currently offering to combine Internet and mobile for one set price and within budget being that I am on a fixed income. So far this is an unbeatable deal and the service so far seems to be working. This is only my second day with spectrum and so far so good.

We have been Spectrum customer for more than 15 years. The area we live does not give me another option for the internet service. All these years, Spectrum only interested in hooking the new customers with 'so called promotion' price, then jack up the price. Every other year, if I did not want to add more services from them, I had to cancel my internet service for a period of time, then sign up again in order to get the new customer's price/or a 'promotion' price even they always advertise widely that ‘You’ do not need a contract. Their Customer Service was always worthless and very rude. My most recent experience with them was that I signed up with a two year 'locked in' price in Feb. 2024.
This Jan, they raised the price, and added $5 to my monthly bill. I thought it was $5, to save my headache, I did not argue and paid for it. Then in Feb. they added another $15 more to the monthly bill again. I tried to talk their customer service agent to get an answer as to when my contract /promotion period expires, and when the price should be changed, why I have two increases in two consecutive months. She first told me that my promotion price expired on 1/15/2026, then she said it was in Feb, she never provided me with a straight answer as to why I have two increases in two months. All her interests were to get me paid for the extra $20 and a total of &$70/month bill. Since I was not willing to make a payment right away, she only wanted to get off the phone with me....
Well, at this moment, we only wanted to keep Spectrum internet for my secondary property smart devices controls. After my last night experience with them, we have decided that with a GREAT PLEASURE, we are cancelling their service, and say “Bye- Bye” to them forever... No one needs need their BS, and if you can, never give them a penny. They are systematically structured to SPAM their customers.

I was overwhelmed about switching from 30 years of Tracfone to a new provider. I had researched all the major providers for a couple of years now, but never felt it was the right time or deal ($) to change. I had been in contact with Spectrum to negotiate my account with them to reduce my monthly bill. I was able to do so and was then offered a deal for adding their mobile.
I was offered free unlimited for 12 months, then it converted to $40/month w/autopay. I brought my old number with me and bought the phone I wanted (from Motorola), all without a contract or added fees! I'm now consistently showing 5G connectivity and am pleased with the service and ease of switching to their platform. Had I known how easy it was and the savings I received, I'd have done so much earlier! Highly recommend!

They failed to transfer our phones and actually left us stranded for 4 days without any functional phone service. Spectrum came to the rescue, got us up and running with all our services in a super professional and effective manner.

The mobile service is horrible! It deserves minus 5 stars!! I only get one bar at most no matter where I'm located. I have difficulty connecting to websites and when I finally am able, it's so slow or it freezes due to "network" issues. It's the same on iPhone and Android, all three of our lines have the same issue. Their technical support does nothing to try and fix the issue. I regret leaving my old provider for this promo deal, now I'm stuck with horrible service. So disappointed with Spectrum mobile.

My tech supporter was Travis yesterday, who spoke clear American English with no foreign accent, patiently listening to my situation while out of state away from my Spectrum home internet, understanding my situation with poor T-Mobile cellular service at this vicinity. With his professional help and a 3-way conference call to my wife (T-Mobile “plan manager”), both my iPhone and iPad were switched from T-Mobile cellular service over to the Spectrum Mobile cellular service, while I remained at this rather remote rural area. This has resulted in much improved voice phone call quality, with a consistent conversation ability not experienced with T-Mobile (unless I drive into town near the interstate highway, or sometimes going outside the front door of this house seeking a decent signal strength).
I am now experiencing some usual email openings with message and image display, whereas before with T-Mobile I might need to wait about a whole minute for the emails to even show up in my inbox, then another delay to open & view messages, with slow image loading. My iPhone 11 Pro Max is 6 years old & only 4G capable, my iPad Mini 6 is about 3 years old & 5G. With this new Spectrum Mobile cellular service I have not seen 5G service at this home location yet, only LTE, but the “bandwidth”(?) is consistently satisfactory thus far. I do much use of mapping, for “Find My”, navigating, airplane pilot applications, and there has been no delays with the maps loading since switching to Spectrum from T-Mobile.
Today I made a call for tech support speaking with “Dee” about my internet sharing HOTSPOT to connect with my Windows PC tablet/notebook, something that worked (but slow/intermittent) with T-Mobile, however with the Spectrum Mobile cellular data thus far I have not been able to get internet access with the Windows PC although it does WiFi connect the same to either my iPhone or iPad. Something I will continue to work on and expect better results when back in my Florida home area where I expect Spectrum Mobile cellular data will “hotspot” as usual.
