Where should I began. Smh. Lets start by saying a nice thing. It was okay service. They do surely have good lasting phones. I stay with them 2 years but thats because I never noticed something was wrong. I been checking my phone info account and my chase stuff so now I guess I pay attention. So recently I had a very bad problem with Boost mobile. But let me tell you before this mess I have noticed something was going wrong with my payments since before I never care about my money. Lol. Two weeks ago I was going through my phone thinking when I had to pay my bill. I saw I was running out of data and said I needed to pay so I went to the site boost mobile - try to see to do my payment check - the page have changed!
I was like "okay. Now I can began again." Lol. Did a payment of data for 5 bucks but before they renew the page I use to do my payment just autopay and before I remember I couldnt put just $5 bucks so I was like "thats weird". I needed to specific put the amount I was paying no less. So I was like "okay. This will help my data since Imma get a new phone." I will wait to get my other check but I didnt and thought "okay cinthia. Lets pay the 35 bucks same day!!!" After paying the first $5 bucks right.
Wait I said my data or my payment havent done nothing to my phone so it went to balance - thats what I saw in the page. So later im like... "Wtf". I was like "whats was going on". So Im like "okay. Maybe if I pay again saves my next month. Fine". I paid another $35 bucks. Again went to the damn stupid balance. It said that payments were going to be till the next payment. I was like "omgod. What the..." So of course I called boost mobile. I waited the next day to call since I had work. I called, talk to this lady, told her exactly what happen. She explain to me what happen then ask me if I wanted to used the balance but I was like "yeah I just paid 5 bucks too." I explain her what happen!!
Then I just told her "look I just want a refund." I was just mad so I knew I wanted a new phone, new service. So I told her refund! I was nice. Trust me!!! She said "one of the payments were going to be charge". Im like "fine. Whatever. Right." I told her "so I will be getting my refund by when?" Told me "in 5 days." Agh, even my fingers hurt to write this. Lol. So anyways I get a refund right. From $35 bucks I paid I got $26 back and my chase statement doesnt lie. Im like "omg. I told my gf what happen." Told me "called back again if you dont get your whole refund." I did talk to another lady. Ugh. Told me I will be getting my refund. Fine. I told her "thank you." One week passes by. Nothing. Nothing of the whole refund. Smh.
This time it was - I guess dumb of me right - go to the page, see if I can refresh the payment and just do a different plan which I did pay thinking "fine. I will get my money back." So I go and I got the data. Same day my phone broke. That was my fault. It broke. My chase it said "still pending". I called boost mobile. This time it was a guy who answer me. I talk to him, explain him everything all over. Told me there was nothing he can do. Explain to me since I did the payment by myself - there was no way to get a whole refund from last called because I had renew my plan. I was like "wait why." Right. I was so mad. I just left it for another week. I still havent touch my phone or data.
I ** switch from ** boost mobile. I cant believe in one week and they saw I did my payments but still couldn't get anything back. SMH. From 120 bucks that was on balance I paid for nothing lost 60 bucks. I know its not much but in my situation of course I need to care. I dont want this to happen to any of you. Paying, wasting your money and wasting your time with this service. I was so stress out (now I just hope this new service I got doesnt do the same. I wont ever use a damn cell phone anymore. Boost mobile sucks!!! Especially whoever made the payment plan on the websites. I went back to the page transactions where it show my payments and the truth got erased! But my banks statements dont lie!

I tried since yesterday at 9 am to order their promotion for an iPhone 5s for $249.99 with a $100 account credit. Their website kept giving me a message to call them because there was a problem. They told me there were phones available but to keep trying. They did tell me they could place my order for me only I would not get the $100 credit. They even told me to try after midnight, which I did. I still could not order it. They even told me they would put my name on one of the phones to hold it for me.
I talked to a supervisor this morning and he said he did not know why I was told the things I was told because the phones are out of stock. My brother went on their website and the only one out of stock according to their website was the gold colored phone. I complained to customer support and they told me sometimes the stock takes a while to update and they did not know they were out of stock, yet the supervisor apparently knew it was out of stock. How would he know but no one else did. I think this was just a scam that they had no intention of honoring. I bet I could call or go online and order that phone without the $100 credit.

Somebody in a Boost store used my credit card information to pay their cell phone. When my credit card company disputed the transactions we were told in writing that we won. So I called them today to get the phone re-activated and they lied to me saying they were collecting two payment equaling 74.45. Actually they were asking for the money we lost. So again I am disputing the payment and investigating all over again because after paying this amount they refused to activate the phone. Cancelled service with Boost - they are corrupt and the customer service is horrible.

I signed up for the $45 Growing data plan on the Oct 8, 2015. The plan started with 5,120 bytes of data in October, and it was supposed to grow every 3 months with on time payments. At 18 months, I should have about 8 GB. After 6 months of on time payments, my data hasn't grown at all. Their customer service said they would take care of it, but they have not done so yet. My only recourse at this time is to leave Boost Mobile the negative reviews, that I felt they earned all over the internet.

After purchasing the phone and adding minutes for the last year they disconnected the phone and gave someone else the number and won't let me use the phone again. Without paying yet another fee to fix their mistake. Anyone would be better off to throw your money in the trash instead of messing with this company. Complete scam.

I have automatic payments, every month Boost takes $40 from my credit card. One month they randomly decided to take $45.45. I disputed the $5.45 with my bank, they investigated and returned my $5.45. Yesterday, completely randomly, and with no communication, warning or notice, Boost "suspended" my account due to a "back charge". When I went online it said my account was suspended b/c I lost my phone! I didn't. When I called customer service they told me it was suspended b/c of the $5.45 back charge and I need to pay them that since my bank took it back from them after they stole it from my account. I went back and forth with 5 different reps, and eventually each of them agreed that I WAS OVERCHARGED and I do NOT OWE them ANYTHING, but each one was completely powerless to turn my service back on.
After my 5th or 6th call the operator promised my service would be back on yesterday, and swore she had taken care of it. Well, not only was my service never turned back on, it has been another full day of back and forth with customer service. They keep claiming they are sending my file "for review" by "higher departments". There is nothing to review! BOOST OVERCHARGED ME, BOOST CUT OFF MY SERVICE FOR NO VALID REASON, AND BOOST REFUSES TO TURN MY SERVICE BACK ON. AFTER 2 DAYS OF HELL, I am no closer to having service restored. Nightmare company, AVOID BOOST AT ALL COSTS!!!

I went to purchase the Galaxy S3 brand new when I needed a replacement for my old S3 but coincidentally the website's warehouse was currently "out of stock" at that particular moment, so I decided, "Okay... I'll purchase the previously owned. How bad can it be?" BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. Not only did it arrive defective with a bad microphone built in, but I noticed on the website that suddenly the brand new models of the S3 were conveniently back in stock and that the S3 models (new and used) had dropped in price just a day later after I made my purchase.
Now here's where it gets even uglier... When I called Boost to inform them that I wanted to return their defective phone and have it replaced with a brand NEW S3 (since it was now the same price as the pre-owned equipment they just sold me) they basically told me that I was "simply out of luck" and that all I could do is either take a refund for the full amount which takes 10-14 business days or they can send me another previously owned piece of garbage. Needless to say I took the refund, but talk about a company that really showed me that they could care less about helping their loyal customers. I've had my account open with them for 7 years and here they couldn't even send me a brand new phone for my troubles.
To add insult to injury... they don't pay for the shipping costs of anything you send back to them. That burden simply falls on the expense of the consumer. Gee... thanks Boost Mobile. You sent me a broken phone and then charge ME to send it back to you. Such a class act company. I'm simply waiting on my refund to get here, but once I receive it, I think it's time to go to a new carrier because Boost really showed me that it could truly care less about its customers or their needs. As long as you send in that money every month, that's all that really matters to them at the end of the day. They honestly made me feel like the term "Valued Customer" is nothing more than something that they probably joke about around the office. Seriously... who treats their customers that way!? SMH.

I've have been a Boost customer since the very beginning and have been a satisfied customer up until a week ago when I purchased a iPhone 6s Plus via Boost customer service rep with next day shipping. After purchasing the phone I was told I would receive a confirmation with the details of the order. Upon reading the confirmation I noticed the confirmation indicated the wrong color, so tried to contact customer service to intercept the order before being shipped, but got a rep that didn't speak very good English and indicated that it was too late to correct the order, then I was assured that FedEx would require signature.
Well the package was delivered and NO signature was required as the package was left at the front door. When I contacted Boost Customer Service again I got someone that didn't speak English well. They instructed me to contact FedEx and have them contact Boost to get a return label, so I contacted FedEx and they indicated that Boost never requires signature when phones are purchased via their website and FedEx indicated they don't call the vendors to send customers return labels.
It's been a struggle to get any assistance even when talking to managers. This whole experience has been disappointing. I've literally spent over week calling customer service with no help. I even had a customer service rep refuse to transfer me to a manager and even hang up on me. Boost does not care about their customers... They have the worst customer service. It's extremely rare to get someone that understands English or is knowledgeable. I'm currently looking a other cellphone companies. My outcome is I sent the phone back at my cost with the promise that I would reimbursed, but I'm not going to be surprised if doesn't happen. Will NEVER order over the phone again.

If I could rate negative I would!!! I bought a phone in Dec 2014 from Boost. If you don't need any technical support, it's fine. But if you do, you will never get it work properly. I had so many issues that I can't even list them, from a change in my plan (that I was not aware of) to the fact that I am tied to them forever. My phone can't work with any other network. I bought a 4G (SHARP AQUOS CRYSTAL), and now I have a 2G :(. It connects to the internet... Sometimes. I got no support from Sharp either. Go ANYWHERE else.

I've been with boost for about two years. If there was any other company with an affordable rate I would've left boost long ago. When you try to reach customer service it will take a minute. When you finally get someone you can understand them because of their broken English. All of their customer service has been outsourced. So all you folks that see the commercial to switch your plan to boost, if you know like I know, you'll either stay where you are or choose Someone else. Boost is not the best move.

I signed up for automatic payment for a Boost mobile #. They took money out the 2nd month (I have the bank statement confirming). Then they shut the phone off and said my payment didn't go thru. I sent the proof and still they kept the phone off and I still have not received my monies back. The reps are saying they don't have my card on file, yet they took out a payment. They still are saying they don't have it file even after I proved they took the money out. Their customer reps aren't very bright and I talked to a Bernadette (if that's her real name) and she couldn't answer how they took money out. If they had no acct information, I am bull and if I don't get my money back soon, I am reporting them to everyone and anyone. Fed up with Boost. LG Tribute 5 which I purchased less than 2 weeks ago has a slow charging issue & best they can tell you is "contact LG". They take no responsibility in selling you a defective product. According to them & their policy, it doesn't matter if your phone is old or new, if it is defective you have to deal with the manufacturer, even though you bought the phone from them. Last Boost phone I will ever buy. Going to let service expire & just find a better company. Anything should be a step up after dealing with these people.

If you go into any Boost Mobile store, you will encounter low rent people running the store, who know nothing about phones. They tell you they can't help you at all with technical problems or even setting up a phone you JUST BOUGHT. You have to call their 800 number and wait, and then talk to someone from India you can't understand. Also, I've called their 800 number before. The outsourced Indian people also have no clue about your problem generally, I've even heard a guy simply reading an owners manual to me. Terrible customer service. Only good part is they are cheap and allow unlimited text/data/calls for a good price.

I have been a customer with Boost Mobile since the days of nextel. My plan usually renews on the 17th of every month and I have two gigabytes included with my unlimited service. My hotspot turned off two days early apparently we used it up a little sooner than expected. So my husband called to find out if we could pay or do something to get it on two days early and a man named Juan told us we can renew our service and get 8 gigabytes instead of 2. Sounded like a good deal so we did that and a hot spot came back on but by the morning it was off again.
I have called customer service 7x total and have been told that we used 8 gigabytes in 4 hours which is absolutely impossible. I was told they put in a work order on Wednesday the 17th. I have heard nothing. We called back today and they have no record of a work order. I think I will be going elsewhere for service. We did not use 8 gigabytes in 4 hours. We barely used two in 30 days in all the months we had the hotspot. We were told we would not get gigabytes till next month. We never used this months! My phone keeps track and can prove it. Thank you.

I've been with Boost Mobile for almost 4yrs on a $35 dollar plan, a crappy phone that the data got throttled almost immediately after the monthly payment was made. Got tired of it and bought a LG Stylo which is 3G 4G LTE capable. So I upgraded plans to $60 per month unlimited everything with high speed internet with no throttling. I've had one month of fair high speed internet so I decided to keep the plan and pay the $65 which includes tax. Now it's been six days from paying the 2nd month and I have had nothing but 3G data speed. Sounds like throttling to me. Customer service can't help you when you need technical support, managers don't know how to keep their customers happy and the Boost stores just erase your info, apps, and pictures without your permission, not to mention go thru your personal information on your phone, like pictures, bank accounts, pins, etc. I don't get their service in my area, so all I want is $5.00 that I have in the account and they will not issue me a refund. I've been with Boost Mobile since April 2010. All was well until the past 10 to 12 months. Customer service has been outsourced longer than I can remember, but trying to get to and speak with a person in customer service is extremely difficult now and unless you speak Mandarin, you only think you understand them - and they you. Auto-pay got me double drafted at the bank due to "technical difficulties beyond their control" twice, and trying to get a refund is round after round of excuses and delays.
The latest being I couldn't be refunded unless they suspended (disconnected) my service. Stating I wouldn't even be able to call in an emergency. Finally out of patience, I switched carriers and actually got the same "deal" for $15.00 less. In addition - they do not charge a handling fee for taking my money whether I use auto-pay, pay online at their site, or pay cash in their store. They won't buy my old phone back since I quit them, and they won't unlock it so someone else can buy it at a thrift store to use, so I pitched it into the irrigation canal behind my house and it will be at the bottom of a nearby lake in no time. I was tired of my old cell phone provider of over a decade so I ordered a ZTE Warp Sync from the Boost mobile 800 number. I only did because I was told I had the promotion of the second month of service free ($40). The phone cost about $150. I did not activate the phone immediately because I already paid for the last month of service with my old provider so It was 3 weeks before I activated it. When I got the phone in the mail I had a problem activating it so I went to a Boost mobile authorized dealer a few miles from my house. They had the same phone for only $29 with an instant rebate. So I was a bit pissed that I spent an extra 120 bucks. But ow well. It was my fault for not checking (and I was past the 14 day return period).
I paid for my service and called 30 days later to make sure I would receive the $40 credit for that month's bill. There was none and I was told that the promotion was over when I ordered my phone. I told them it was not and that it says I have a $40 credit on the form sent with the phone. I was given an address to mail a copy to. I did and paid the bill thinking that I would be credited the next month. I call the next month and was told that I was past the promotion date and I told them I mailed a copy of the receipt. She said they did not receive it. I spoke to a supervisor who repeated the same crap - that I ordered the phone after the promotion was over. I read the promotion from the very receipt that they sent me and asked her for an email address so I could scan it and send it to her. She said they do not have an email to send to. WTH?
This went on for about 2 more months to no avail so I just gave up. But then calls would drop and an old school message would say something like "the number you have called is not in service, please try the number and call again" or something like that. It would do that about 3 times a week while in the middle of a phone call or I would get a beeping tone sometimes and then the call would drop. I had service for about a month with Boost Mobile Service and while the phone service was OK, the data was VERY slow. After a certain point of data usage (after your data is used up) instead of just slowing down, Boost totally cuts you off. However, the worst thing about the company is that they will not issue refunds regardless of whether you received service or not. I canceled my account with Boost to switch to another company and although I had prepaid, I had cancelled my service way before the start of my next monthly service. Boost was adamant about NOT refunding my money due to their "rules and regulations". So in essence, they're just keeping my money for nothing. Finally after an hour they gave it to me. Then they proceeded to shut my service off, 2 days early, so that I couldn't keep my same number. I had that number for 6 years! However, none of that has anything to do with the crappy phone and the crappy service it receives. Waste of time!!!
By the time you power on the phone, the 4GB of internal storage shrinks to 1.4GB. By the time you install a couple of your own apps and take a few pics, consider the free phone completely useless. At one point I couldn't even open my texts or make a call. Again, I'll take the wrap, you get what you pay for. My bad again. As for data, unless you have unlimited 4G, that's more like 3G, at best, if you dare exceed your data you can expect to have good old memories of dial-up. Really. Finally, listen to the agonizing reviews here. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt, you can't please them all, but trust the good/bad ratio here. Boost is not worth it.

I have been with Boost Mobile for two years now. During those two years, I have lived in 4 different cities. I haven't had decent service in ANY of those cities. My phone is constantly dropping calls and I'm never able to use my data. I had to get Internet through my cable provider because I get no data connection on my phone in my own home. I know my service isn't going to be superior because I'm not paying for a top-notch company, but when I download a free calling app and get better service than I do through the service I am paying for... that becomes a problem. To add insult to injury, my phone itself has had its fair share of problems as well. Needs a reboot daily, doesn't read my SD card (which is needed because my phone has a very small memory), and barely holds a charge these days.
As for their customer service: complete joke! My husband needed a new phone because his third Boost phone stopped working. He came across a great deal from Cricket and decided to switch. When he called to get his account number to make the switch, the representative refused to give him his account number! He needed that account number in order to keep his current number and they would not provide it. The funny thing is his number wasn't a Boost phone number to begin with, it was a Page Plus number. Page Plus had no problem giving him his account number to switch to Boost but Boost had a problem giving it to him to switch to Cricket. Very unprofessional. Very rude. Will not recommend Boost Mobile to anyone.

I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy s3 phone from Boost Mobile on Cyber Monday for a pretty good deal. I was excited as I've been needing a new phone for quite some time (their lower model phones only last maybe a few months). Well... The phone was defective! :( I bought it online and on their website as they state all their refurbished phones are CERTIFIED & work like new... this one had a battery drain problem and would turn off when making calls. You could literally sit and watch the battery drain a percent a minute. This happened as soon as I activated it so it was obviously a defective phone. They first sent me to Samsung who wanted $70 to fix it but why should I have to pay for a phone to be fixed that's been CERTIFIED to work like new?! I FINALLY got to a manager (I was seriously trying to get a hold of one for 4 hours - I'm dead serious) & the best they could do was return the phone and give me my $ back.
I wanted a replacement because I wanted to keep the deal I got so I had to wait for corporate to approve replacing the phone in which they didn't and the best they could do was waive the shipping of me sending it back. I still have to wait about 2 weeks to get my money back too which just frustrates me even more. Not to mention the SAME day I got this phone, we had the massive shooting in San Bernardino about a mile from where I work. This just escalated me even more because now my city has a terrorist attack and I'm with an unreliable phone AND a single mom with two kids.
Boost Mobile already has HORRIBLE service. I literally drop calls at home and work (the only 2 places I'm ever at!!) So this just did it for me. As soon as I got my authorization number to return the device, I went to Metro PCS and got a FREE phone from them that's better than the one I originally had with Boost. I had to pay for two months in order to activate my service (it was also saying my account was overdue even though my service only JUST ended).
It took forever going through a lot of menus and headache to get through to a real person on their customer service line, and when I finally did I was told that because I had paid $5 over I would have to upgrade to a new phone (which means more money; there’s no way they're giving me that for free) OR pay for two months to keep my service. This sounds like a huge scam to me. How does paying $5 MORE than I owed mean I owe them MORE money? How can they keep my service off if I paid MORE than what was due?

Now after 8 days of waiting, calling and sitting on hold for hours I finally spoke with a "supervisor" who told me I need to go to my bank and dispute the charge because they absolutely cannot issue a refund for claims like this. After being told by multiple agents I would get the refund within 8-10 days. I believed what I was told was true. With that being said it is now too late for me to dispute the transaction on my account since it has been so many days since the transaction was made. Boost mobile customer support is the absolute worst. None of them know what they are talking about.
You can't hardly understand a word they say and in the end you wind up wasting a whole lot of time to get absolutely nowhere. My thoughts now are: 1. They should have contacted this person and told them what had happened and or froze their account because honestly who wouldn't continue to use their phone if it were still working? 2. The simple fact that they cannot issue me a refund due to it not being my phone account shows that I should receive a refund BECAUSE IT IS NOT MY PHONE ACCOUNT! 3. Why would they not tell me the first time I called that they couldn't do anything with this type of claim and advise me to go to my bank instead? I honestly think they did this because they knew by the time they denied my claim it would be too late for me to dispute it with my bank. Avoid Boost mobile at all costs and never share you banking information with them!!! Scam artists!!!

I ordered pre-owned phone on line looking for inexpensive way of upgrading, since my LG venetian is over 3 years old and giving me trouble. I paid 150.00 for Samsung Galaxy S3, great price for a smart phone. I think the keyword here is pre-owned not refurbished. In the box was the phone in the box with certified pre-owned sticker, charger, new battery and a Boost activation slip, I thought it was weird there was no manual or phone information whatsoever. I charged the phone, green light went on, managed to activate the phone, then it went off, completely off. Never to turn on again. I called technical support, who tried to help but to no avail. Calling Boost mobile is a mission to get someone on the line, their automation is useless. I called for return order, no trouble you have 10 days, but I'm stuck with the shipping fee!
Now I have to stand in a long line at US post office and pay shipping for a defective phone Boost mobile irresponsibly sent to me. Now I have to wait weeks for refund, pay shipping fee, and back with the old phone that does not work properly. You pay for what you get, the big 4 (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile) charge more but you get quick, better service. I know Boost is now Sprint but that made no difference. One and only compliment I have for this company are the reps. They were all polite, understanding and always apologetic and for that I thank you, it's the way the company does things that are frustrating. My advise do not order online, go to one of their stores!!!

When I got the phone home, yep it had the lollipop in it BUT this pathetic excuse for a company had shut the complete system down and put their useless software in. Cheap looking apps at least a 3 year old system (according to an LG Tech) and it doesn't download, has a generic fake Boost Mobile version of Google and Play Store and pretty much every app on the cheap phone.
Called and spent hours with their worthless joke of "customer care" who couldn't of cared less that they were selling jailbreak phones, again according to the LG Tech. I took the pile of junk to a cell phone repair store and they said it had been jail broken. Boost is selling phones with the Android System and putting in their 1996 software. Boost Mobile are not only pathetic but lying to the public and ripping off the people. They have only last 2 to 5 months, sometimes 8 months, depending on the phone. Every phone glitched, dropped phone calls, and slow internet. It literally starts glitching after a month, but most of the time for a couple of days. I've had several disputes, and gotten refurbished phones, tried to talk to customer service, including supervisors, all were bad, giving me nothing but the run around. I've done every single thing to make sure the phone doesn't become bad and they always do. I have a phone right now that I have had trouble with for months, and it's supposed to be a good phone.
I am long overdue for a switch, and I am just tired of dealing with faulty phones, horrible customer service, and paying for the newest phone, just to stop the glitches for a while. This phone, which is an LG Volt generation 1, stopped updating completely. It's still at version 4.4.2. It is an affordable price, but it is not worth your time. Changing carriers this upcoming week. I bought a phone for 100 dollars with Boost about a year ago and had been paid 7.00 per month for the insurance. On 7/13/15 I lost my phone and called Boost to make a claim. After 2 hours on the phone, they told me that I had to pay $100 to replace my phone! The same price that I had paid for it, a year ago. On the Boost mobile website the price of the phone is now 50.00. I told the Insurance company (eSecuritel) that Boost is allied with, "why do I have to pay you 100.00 when I have already paid the insurance for a year, and when the price of the phone is now 50.00?" They said that they charge you the "50% of the manufacturer price, and that the value of my phone was 260.00".
You can pay insurance on your phone for 2 years, and when you make a claim, they will still go by the manufacturer's price from when the phone was made. Your phone might be worth 10.00 and the insurance will still charge you the price of the manufacturer from when your phone came out on the market. My phone's price is only 50.00 through Boost, but they were charging me 100.00 to replace it. You see the fraud? If you don't believe me, call your insurance and pretend that you are making a broke/lost device claim, see if you like what they will charge you as the deductible.

I have been a reliable and loyal Boost-mobile customer since 2009, but no longer. I admit, the phone service provided has been impeccable. However, this past June 2015 for reasons unknown my phone was shut off. Without fail, my service has been paid monthly by automatic payment from my Visa debit card. To resolve the shut off issue, I went to my Boost-mobile online account. Seeing my Visa card was marked restricted from use, I called the customer service number listed there. A recorded confusing message came on, pitched me some phone deal, and then some button push sent me off to join a competitor's service -T mobile. Not the kind of thing you want to happen when you are already upset and using a borrowed phone. Thanks to Verizon, I searched the internet to find another Boost's number. After multiple attempts to navigate this automated call system, I finally got a live person.
Long story short, after talk with 3 reps, and 3 supervisors, while experiencing a major disruption of my work over 2 days, I was told my Visa card was restricted from further use for reasons unknown. Unable to tell me the reason for the restriction, I was told to call my bank, so I did - no issues with the bank. I again had to crawl the Boost mobile recorded system to advise the next live person there are no card issues with my bank or any other vendor. After repeated customer rep coaxing for a supervisor, ** came on. Supervisor ** claimed to now see the problem, and without an explanation, she took my Visa information for the third time with the promise service would be restored. That never happened. After 4 days of no phone service or rational explanation why my Visa was restricted, I returned to the Boost-mobile phone maze one last time.
The last person I spoke with was supervisor **. He apologized for **'s broken promise, and said my card was likely still restricted from a previous billing dispute, but I never had a dispute. When I asked for the dispute specifics, ** said I would have to email the financial department and try to get back with you in a few minutes. Bottom line, ** said the only way I will get Boost-mobile service restored is to change cards or pay in person. After 4 hours of waiting for **'s call back, it is time to admit my relationship with Boost-mobile is over. When a company works so hard to inconveniences a long time reliable customer without providing a rational cause or reason, there is something very wrong. Reluctantly, I am forced to say bye to Boost and avoid any other organizations in the Sprint company family or future family.

The gentleman on the phone, the manager who said his name was ** and identified himself as the manager of the "store". He told me that the retail price of my phone was $269. He stated that my insurance had a $100 deductible. I asked him why this is not explained to me the time I purchased the phone and insurance. He stated that the deductibles are based on the cost of the phone. As well as the particular device that is insured. So I told "you mean to tell me that I pay seven dollars a month for insurance and $269 for my phone. Now, for a phone that I can buy for $49 $39 or $100, I have to pay $100 to have my phone replaced."
I informed him that this was an older model phone and not worth the $269 retail. He stated that that was just the way things are. I told him that there is something very unethical about this whole procedure. Any time you pay $269 for a phone then have to pay seven dollars per month for insurance, you have paid for the phone almost twice, if you include the hundred dollars deductible.
This insurance is a complete rip-off. At no time of purchase when you purchase your Boost mobile phone are you informed that there would be deductible. It is simply stated that the insurance is a protection in case anything happens to your phone if it is lost, broken, or stolen. It appears that the deductible is at their discretion so that they do not really have to pay for the phone that they are replacing. If you are getting a phone that you bought initially, the depreciation replacement price of that phone takes it to the full price of your deductible or less.
With so much telephone competition out there these days, it is amazing to me that companies would try such an obvious rip-off to all consumers. The gentlemen continued to repeat to me that this is the same as a deductible on a vehicle. Was that meant to be funny? You don't have to be ** to know that if your deductible was either the full price or half the price of your automobile, none of us would have that kind of insurance! I think Boost and their carrier need a class-action lawsuit for misrepresentation. There is no way any consumer would purchase this kind of insurance if they knew "upfront" that there was a deductible of half of the entire price of the phone. Can we all say BAD FAITH.

I bought a iphone 6 from Boost Mobile on Wabash Ave in Springfield, IL on May 4. Less than 24 hrs later it quit working. I took it back to the store and explained what the problem was. She told me to make sure to use updates huh?? It started to work again. Next day same thing happens. Call them and tell them I want a new cell. I was not going to pay $647.00 for a cell that goes to a red fuzzy screen and shuts down. She got rude with me and said I would have to bring it in to have it tested. When I get there she informs me that she does not have a way to test it and has no more cells in stock. She told me I had to take it to a Mac store to have it tested. I do that and the guy from Mac tells me that the cell is bad. We call Boost to let them know she tells me again she has no more in stock. She refused to refund my money. So the guy from Mac tells them he can get one in two days for us.
We get it and take it back to Boost to have it reactivated only now she says she has to get a different sim card for the cell which will have to be mailed to me and will take 10 working days. I get a phone call from Boost a week later stating my address is saying invalid to send. This is only the beginning of my nightmare! I finally get the sim card and call Boost to activate it once again only this time it says plug into my home computer to finish activating my iTunes account. I told her I should not have to do that but I went along with it. Only once I put the information in it says my Boost pin is invalid. I called Apple which have been so good about all of this. They have tried to help me in any way they can. I called Boost and kept getting disconnected. Talk to 6 different customer service reps.
Finally after two days of trying to activate my cell the rep says we can return the cell for another or get our money back. When I told her the store would not do it for us and asked that she call that store to make sure we could because it was 100 miles round trip for us to drive. She said she would and if there was any problem she would call us back. We get the store and the sales rep once again says she will not give us our money or give us another cell. I am still without a new cell at this time. I am completely at the end of my rope here. I will be finding a new cell provider. You people should be ashamed for putting us through all of this. I will not stop this fight until I get what is owed to me.

My son bought me a Boost service phone for my birthday. I was very happy about it and excited to get it activated. I had an ordeal getting Boost phone activated. A online rep named ** set up my acct. Not activated. So I went to Park Wireless 2 store. CSR ** was so nasty. She acted like she didn't want to listen to what I was trying to say. She made a smart remark as I was leaving and told me not to come back to her store. I was upset, my old phone was closed and off... and I could not make a call to get help. I thought she was being a ** and called her on it. I went to Park Wireless 7 store and the man was very helpful. He explained the policy and the online guy had misinformed me on transfer of service. I would just ask you to caution Ms. ** in working on her customer service skills and mannerisms in dealing with the public at large.

I started getting bad phone service. When you call customer service they are no help. They blame it on my phone. I had to buy another phone so Boost could troubleshoot their phone. Sometimes they say it's them working on their equipment so now I pay for a phone that works and I pay for a Boost phone that only makes calls at night.

Recently, my sister and I have both noticed that when we tap on our screens, say our phone button maybe (can't remember all the buttons that cause this) our phones immediately go online. Mine kept opening to the Google Play Store, and now it is simply going online. It is nothing I have done personally, as my internal storage was so low that I could not even add a new contact to my contact list. I could not update any apps, and I did not have this problem before Boost began doing their Upgrades. It used to ASK me if I wanted to update my Boost Zone app, but now I just get a message at the top saying my Boost update is complete. Boost has changed something, and it is connecting my phone to the web and using my data, without my express permission or knowledge. I have very few apps on my phone, due to them calling and texting my contacts without my knowledge.
And until yesterday, I couldn't update the ones I do have. I had no trouble with my current apps. The trouble started after Boost started willfully updating things without my consent. I will definitely be checking into other prepay plans this month. I've had it with Boost. They also drop you to 2G after a minimal (in my opinion) amount of usage into your unlimited time each month. 2G takes twice as long to use. I have to stay connected to WIFI to get very good service out of my phone. It's been this way with every Boost phone I've had, not just this one. I do not feel like a valued customer. They texted customers saying that, I think the top 5%, of their customers will receive the fastest service. I'm sure that's true for most companies, but it seemed like a slap in the face to all of the poorer people who PREPAY, whom they have already received money from!!

Boost turns on autopay WITHOUT my input and refuses to refund, even though the phone was never used during the period in question. Phone has NO cell tower reception at home and is a complete waste of money during periods when I do not travel. Yet this low life company charges me for months that I did not pay with my consent. This is a dishonest company that needs to refund money for failing to provide a phone with adequate reception and for abusing its system by activating autopay without my consent, and without even notifying me that I have been charged.

I have been a loyal customer since 2013 with Boost. Well 3 months ago I got a notification for an update for my phone. I followed what the instructions on the phone told me to do and the update was successful....That is where the problems started. I turn it back on the next day to use it after shutting it down for the night to recharge and when I turned it back on the phone was stuck in a bootloader loop so I couldn't even use the phone. I did everything I could to fix the problem, but the phone isn't working. So today I called Boost and explained the situation to them and they told me it is not their responsibility. Boost sent me the update, Am I not mistaken it is their responsibility to fix the problem? And then I requested a refund for the 3 months of unlimited talk/text/data service that I was not able to use. Their answer? $15.00 per month refund.... WHAT???

I just spent the afternoon with my friend who lost his Boost phone. We went to 2 shops here in San Antonio TX. The first place was where he originally got the phone. It is his business phone. Now I realize that part of this is his fault for not retrieving the text of his pin and changing it to one he could remember. Also his fault he doesn't know where his original paperwork from when he purchased the phone so he doesn't remember the exact purchase date. But in my experience with cell companies this is the 1st time I have heard that without the pin and purchase date there is nothing they can do. That that is the only way they can access his account to replace his phone. And he attempted to call the 800 number but without his pin was not allowed access to a live person. So now he cannot even get a new account with boost. But they seem to be able to get into his account to bill him.

My daughter's phone was stolen and somehow the thieves were able to change her number. She had insurance with Boost Mobile and had only had the device for a little over a month although she had been a Boost Mobile customer for much longer. Boost says they are at a dead end because that number no longer exists in their file. So how are people to get a replacement phone? They aren't. They just get charged as if they will. I have all the receipts from the purchase and the extra money I had put on her account. I also have the box with all the serial numbers. They still say they can not do anything because her number is no longer in their system. Gee wouldn't it be nice if a consumer could wipe out debt like that. Something has to be illegal about this...

However, despite my request and not keeping the phone line, Boost Mobile failed to work with me with regards to partially refunding my money. In addition, they would not work with me with regards to giving me some type of store credit, since they kept my money anyways. I do not think that it is good practice to not return money for a service that is not being used. It does not seem fair to the customer or a good ethical policy for a company to have. I am glad that I am no longer with them. PLEASE DO NOT USE BOOST MOBILE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I was at work so I got the info called my husband and he gave them my information. The woman assured him the two dollars was waived.
I get a text telling me my service will be terminated at the end of the day. I call up there. That's when the nice agent told me next time I have a problem like that, let go of my insurance on my phone until a later date. But seriously shouldn't one of the other agents have known? I was with my previous cell phone provider for 12 years and never had this much of a problem over two dollars. Trust me I don't have my hand out ever. Trust me that two dollar waiver was a nail in the coffin. The phones are junk and have no memory. I have no idea why this company can still operate. I am on a $45 a month plan. I'm writing a complaint in regards to your service. I've been a loyal customer of 5 years and your data service is now absolutely terrible. Being a college graduated I.T. person myself pursuing my CISSP, the statement "If you're part of the small minority of subscribers who reach the threshold, you will continue to have data access but your data speeds will be slowed to 2G speeds for the remainder of your monthly plan" is exceptionally hard to believe in the context of "small minority". While I may be a very small minority of your customers, I can certifiably guarantee you there is plenty of 18-28 year old individuals blasting away on 4G streaming 720-1080p videos on their phone everyday. I am speaking from experience as many of my friends are ripping away at Spotify, Pandora, Youtube every single day.
I was able to chew through 2.5GB in the past 2-3 days since I renewed my plan simply streaming Youtube videos. Not to mention you now throttle the service down to 2G? I probably would have stuck around if you throttle down to 256kB and possibly upgraded to the 10GB plan. 2G however, that is absolutely ridiculous. I have an extremely hard time believing that any of this has anything to do with mitigating network congestion - and even if that was the case, Sprint and their exceptional profit margins should spend some money upgrading their network.
I'm well aware the frequencies are being filled up and within a few years it could become a serious issue, however I find it hard to believe at the current moment in time it's such an issue that you can't offer unlimited service and your competitors can. MetroPCS which is a subsidiary of T-Mobile - which I'm sure you're aware, offers 60GB of true unlimited 4G LTE data for 60$ a month. Now, when your competitor is offering true unlimited data, why aren't you? They certainly have my money now.
