    This company, Asurion, is a total fraud. I purchased an electronic item on Amazon and also, purchased a “3 Year Home Audio & Video Accident Protection Plan” from Asurion, for it, on the same site, Amazon.ca, back in April of 2020. The item that I purchased recently started having malfunctions. Naturally, I contacted this so called insurance company, thinking that just like other companies that honour the protection plan they sell; they are able to assist me further. My first contact was on November 4th of 2021. The rep I spoke with said that I would be receiving a shipping label by email within an hour and also just in case, by mail in few days. Not only I did not receive any email, but the presumably mailed shipping label never arrived. I called again. The rep this time said that he would send them again and insisted that if I did not get the email containing the shipping label within a day to call them back. That did not happen either!

    Again, after few days, I called and asked to speak with a supervisor. A female supervisor took over the call and said that their company’s policy is that they ONLY physically mail the shipping labels and they DO NOT email them!!! What company does not send a simple shipping label by email and prefers to waste money and resources and physically ship them!!! Only backward companies like Asurion. You could imagine my frustration by now. She said that they would issue another shipping label and have it mailed and that by then I would be receiving several mails and that I just use one of them and ignore the rest!!!! Of course, by then it was getting obvious that I was not getting anywhere with these people.

    I called again the week after and asked to talk to a supervisor. My frustration was multiplied each time I called, since I had to explain everything over and over again. This time no supervisor wanted to talk to me and I was told by the rep that the supervisors were busy and that one of them would call me within 48 hours!!!!! 48 Hours passed and I didn’t get any call. I called back and the rep I spoke with said that by looking at the notes left on my case, it looked like a supervisor had tried to call me but I did not answer the call!!! And also, that the supervisor could not leave a message on my voice mail either!!!! I didn’t get anywhere further with that rep either, since I got the same old promise of mailing a new shipping label.

    I made another call past week and then I realized that I would never see that shipping label coming from this company through, at all. You could imagine after being stuck at the very first step, which was getting a shipping label, what I could expect further down on getting any actual help from Asurion on resolving my issue. People be aware! Do not deal with this company! Do not buy products from them! Learn from my lesson and go elsewhere! I say it again: THEY ARE A TOTAL FRAUD.

    Everything was good BUT it was communicated to me that my phone would be delivered the evening of Tuesday Nov 23 between 7pm and 9pm. No one ever showed up or communicated which was frustrating. In the end, the phone was delivered by Fedex on Friday and all is well, but just a bit frustrating to be told one thing and not having any way to follow up.

    Initially the customer service on the phone was awful. I then went to the store and Ernesto at the store was amazing! My phone was delivered today and I went to the store on Thursday afternoon. Overall decent experience! The only downside other than the phone customer service, was that FedEx had the phone on their truck on Friday and it said it would be delivered by Friday at 8 pm. Then at 8 pm it changed to Monday. The biggest issue with that was it is my son's phone and he was home from college for the weekend.

    I had the worst experience with Asurion. As a former Corporate Verizon Manager I must say it was very poorly the way Asurion handled my case a week ago without any resolution. I filed a claim for a phone that got misplaced. I received the replacement and it was activated and then 2 days later I found my original phone. While getting the package ready to send my replacement back I lost it. I was able to use to my original phone for a few days until Asurion decided to put the original IMEI phone under the lost and found list therefore I cannot use the phone anymore.

    After speaking to a supervisor and explaining the situation she couldn't do anything to help me remove my original phone off the lost and found list and told me there is no solution for my case. I had Asurion for the last 10 years since I been an employee with Verizon with all my phones and I find it very poorly the way it's been handled.     This was one of the worst experiences I ever had which involved replacing a damaged phone. 1st of all I was promised And online gift card because of all the hassle and the time period that it took to replace the phone.. When I 1st made the claim It took 2 weeks and 4 different phone calls to Asurion in order to get the right person that was smart enough to fix the problem I was having to do the second step in regards to filling out the claim. Once that problem was resolved I was told that I was going to receive the galaxy Z flip3, within the week. A week Later I called and quarreling about that phone at phone and the customer service told me that they are unable to send a in a Galaxy S21 ultra because it is unavailable. After 15 minutes of explaining to them that I was supposed to receive the Z flip phone they finally got it right and sent the right phone. This took a total of about a month which is unsatisfactory

    I have full insurance on my Verizon phone that I pay for monthly, I have never missed a payment. When my phone broke yesterday, I reached out to get a replacement, my cell phone is the only phone I have (no home phone) and it is required for me to work due to a push authentication required to access secure documents. I first reached out to try to file a claim at 12pm yesterday (11/15), I was told I needed to reset my PIN in order to file a claim. I reset my PIN and the website still would not allow me to file a claim - they do not have any sort of chat function and because my phone was not working I went to a Verizon store (thinking they could help since it's their vendor) and spent 3 hours WITH the Verizon staff trying to file a claim. I was told that I cannot even file a claim for 24 hours.

    Asurion advertises that, "You will have a new phone same day, or overnight," but they won't even let me file a claim for 24 hours, meaning I likely won't have a phone for 48-72 hours. I asked to speak with a supervisor with Asurion, even told the representative that I did not want to speak with Verizon, because Verizon assured me there was nothing they could do, but the Asurion rep said she was putting me on hold and instead transferred me to a Verizon office that was not even open yet. Incredibly poor customer service, and will literally do anything in their power to not deliver on the services that consumers pay for. Their business model success metrics are clearly built on the ability to not have to fulfill claim requests.

    I broke my phone screen (dropped on driveway unloading my 13 year old dog) and my phone would not unlock. I have been a Sprint customer with Asurion insurance via Sprint Complete for 4 years and have used them two times for broken or stolen phones with no issue. However this time has been and still is a nightmare. I filed my claim online the same day as my accident, October 26. I then received the envelope to mail in my phone on the 28th. My phone reached the facility on Nov. 1. All seemed well. But that was the beginning.

    First, I never received a loaner phone, nor instruction how to get one (apparently you have to go to a Sprint store for this, but there was no such instruction on the website). Second per the website I was promised my phone returned and repaired within 3-5 days. I waited 6 business days before calling, but had to reach out. I was assured that I would have the phone by November 12 at the latest due to issues with the supply chain. I then waited until November 15, still no phone or update…. So I called again and got the same response. I will be lucky if I have a phone by Thanksgiving at this point (by the way it was not until this communication that anyone ever told me about the possibility of getting a phone from a sprint store). This has been the most frustrating and ridiculous run around. I will be canceling my insurance as soon as I receive my phone (if I ever do) and highly discourage anyone from wasting their money on this.

    Replacement phone was sent promptly, but the email from Asurion with the link to track the package resulted in a FedEx "Page not found" error. There was no tracking number provided. The package was not addressed to the correct person, even though it was correct in the emails. The address on the cardboard band wrapped around the box, www.att.com/deviceactivate, was useless. They need to collaborate with Samsung, Google, and AT&T and work out the smoothest method of restoring data and then commit to it. I absolutely hate that Asurion, like so many other companies that are claiming to be providing service, does not provide easy to find contact information to speak or chat with a living person.

    I created a claim, every phone every insured under the line was available and I selected an older Samsung that was not comparable to the phone I was currently paying insurance on. I accept full responsibility for that mistake, but when I called and notified the call center I was ask to return the phone sent to me and a note was added to refund the $189 I paid.

    The replacement phone I received did not upload any of my apps properly or at all. My battery on the replacement phone does not hold a charge longer than 6 hrs. As requested, I worked with Verizon Tech on 5 separate occasions. The 5th and final time I worked with Tech, TECH instructed me to call Asurion back to let them know THAT ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THE PHONE TO WORK PROPERLY HAD BEEN DONE!! Tech then transferred me to an Asurion rep. to whom I in turn did as instructed.

    The rep refused to help me. Further she informed me I had to go back to Verizon and repeat the process of trying to get the replacement phone to work properly WHICH I HAD ALREADY DONE FIVE TIMES PRIOR. All documented on my file. I asked to speak to a manager and the Asurion rep HUNG UP ON ME!!! This process has been nothing but a siege on my time and a colossal waste of valuable time, money and mental, physical energy. I want to know how you plan to rectify the situation as after ONE MONTH I still do not have a fully functional phone!!!! To say this experience has been frustrating, disappointing and an epic failure would be an understatement of a lifetime!

    I reported my phone stolen Oct. 29th so a Asurion representative told me to send in a affidavit and picture of my ID which I did Oct. 30th. Nov. 1st I called to see about my replacement phone. That when I was informed that my phone was still active! That was unacceptable and very unprofessional for that to occur. I didn't receive my replacement phone until Nov. 5th a whole week later. Explain who dropped the ball on this mishap????
