Then scheduled delivery of replacement phone because I'm afraid cracked phone will quit working anytime. Set up appointment for same day then hours later receive call that no tech available in my area today and they want to reschedule for another day. I finally just pay $189 for new phone to be shipped overnight. This service is a scam. I was told cracked screen would be fixed for $29. Wish I had other options for phone insurance.

    My experience with Asurion was horrible. The woman instructing me through the process ensured me that I did not need to backup my phone and then proceeded to tell me how to wipe my phone clean. Photos, messages, and important information GONE! I am a chef and lost all of my recipes. I spoke with her supervisor who was very nonchalant given her staff had just made a huge error. When I asked what they could do about it she tried to appease me with a $25 gift card, which I never even received. Horrible, horrible service and incompetent staff.

    I called to replace my lost phone and come to find out when I called my carrier to activate that the Asurion rep that I spoke with filed it as defective. If I had not contacted my carrier I would have been charged $850 for not returning the defective phone. How can I return a phone that is lost? I feel this is shady behavior.     DON'T ever buy a protection plan from Home Depot...This is the biggest rip off I have ever dealt with. The company claims to be HOME DEPOT Protection Plan, however it is a company that is run from the Philippines and is called Asurion and even though you "think" your appliances are protected, good luck in getting them to pay or replace your appliances. DONT waste your money!! Please re-post. I want to spread the word and put them out of business.

    It took almost a month to settle the claim. 1st it have to get part (twice). After that they could not get part so they would send new phone. They sent it to an undeliverable address so it was never received and returned to AT&T. I had to call them a week later (because they never contacted us). It took over 2hrs on the phone with three different people to get them to send me the new phone (they wanted to start claim all over). I did finally get the new phone the day after the call but not a good excuse from them or why it happened or how I was lied to by two people before the last person made it right.

    My employee left her phone on top of the car and it was destroyed on the highway. We recovered only the screen and part of case. When I did the claim, there were two options; lost or stolen AND DAMAGED. Well I chose damaged and wrote on the claim what happened. It wasn’t lost or stolen. Once I finished the claim they told gave the disclaimer “unless the phone was lost or stolen, please return or face a charge of 650.” There was nothing to return.

    Then I receive the replacement phone, and it comes with return labels. I called Asurion and I explained AGAIN the situation. They transferred me over several times before telling me I had to send the replacement back to close that claim and start a new one. I told the agent that’s unacceptable, just make a note or reference the note I left on the claim. I’m not going to have my employee without a phone because I chose the option closest to what my situation was. Or even start the new claim and send the new phone and THEN we will forward this phone back. This needs to be handled. Asurion needs to make note of the claim options. If my bill is charged, ATT is probably going to lose my contract.

    I have insurance on my Verizon phone through Asurion. I was in the ER about a week ago, and my screen got cracked somewhere along the way. I put in a claim to get it repaired (everything else works just fine), picked a time, received my confirmation... and waited. And waited. And then I called them, 15 minutes AFTER my scheduled 3 hour time slot had passed. Now, I understand that people get delayed and things happen; that is fine. However, I DON'T understand not getting a call or text (they obviously have my number!) to update me on what is going on and when I can expect them to show up.

    The customer service agent informed me that they have no way to know who the tech is, or get ahold of them or track them in any way. Really? That's the best job ever... No accountability? She asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment. No, I just want to know when someone will be coming. "Sorry, can't tell you." OK, I'll wait some more. And wait. And wait. I went online; and the site told me to call the customer service number that already told me they can't help me. So I wait some more. Then after 2 1/2 hours, I called again. Same story. We can't help you, no one knows who the tech is, or what is going on, or if they are going to show up. So, I ask to speak to a manager or someone who CAN help me. Then I'm put on hold, she comes back to tell me that "someone" is looking into it, and will find out what's going on, and would I please hold.

    Been waiting all day, so why not. Well, guess what. It's been OVER AN HOUR that I've been on hold. Just for the record; my time frame for the repair was 11am-1pm, and it is now 4:56 pm and I'm STILL ON HOLD. And, no repair person has bothered to call, text, email me, or in any way reach out. This is rude, unprofessional, TERRIBLE business, and disrespectful of my time. Take your phone to an independent repair shop. Support the little guy, because this company clearly doesn't give a damn! If I could give ZERO STARS, I certainly would.

    Would be 5 stars but the communication about our phone being on back order stopped. We went weeks, over a month with no phone. When the "update" emails stopped, I had to call back only to find out we weren't getting that phone at all.     The problem was resolved however it took a long time for this to happen. I had to call back on more than four occasions, because they keep asking for more information. My son had lost his phone in September and I was able to pay the insurance payment and get a new one within days however when that phone failed to work after one month, The company made me jump through hoops to get another replacement even when I was willing to pay the insurance payment a second time.

    I had my phone stolen on 11/25/21. I filed a claim for a replacement phone on 11/26. First, Fedex returned the phone without attempting to deliver. Asurion made me file 2nd claim on the same issue which I did. I received the replacement phone on 12/3. The phone was not a new. It was "RESTORED" and looked as if someone took different parts from multiple broken phones to the point where back panels look different in color and texture. The phone won't open all the way straight like a new phone does.

    Lastly, sim card port was on the left side unlike on the for a new phone. Problem was the sim card was not fitting into the sim card slot. In between, I had to call in 3 ~ 4 times and go thru tons of prompts, questions, transfers. I had to upload required documents each time (3 times altogether). It has been almost a week since my initial claim but I'm still left without a phone. The process is TERRIBLE & NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. They are giving me the feel of "We don't care." If I have other choices, I would not insure any products with Asurion!!!!

    My first experience with the replacement from Asurion was less than satisfactory. After being transferred to three different customer service reps I finally got one that handled my claim. I received the replacement iPhone and took it to my nearby ATT store to activate the new phone and transfer all my data to the new phone. After THREE HOURS they said the new phone would not accept downloads of outdated software. They said I needed to get Asurion to send another replacement. This time I didn’t try calling but used an online option. It easily worked and I received a replacement the NEXT day. I took that phone to the ATT store and they got everything transferred and the phone activated within an hour.

    I received the phone in a very timely manner. I was having a hard time getting the replacement phone to activate with the new sim card. I contacted customer support and they activated the sim card for the wrong number on my account, the number I was contacting them from. So my phone quit working, and the 2nd phone number on my account with the new phone was inoperable as well. Brian from customer support advised me to put the new sim card for the 2nd phone into my phone so that I could contact advance technical support. They informed me nothing could be done to activate the replacement phone for the 2nd number on the account.

    The next business day roughly an hour and a half was spent at an ATT store getting a new sim card set up. It was not the worst thing in the world but it was a rather large inconvenience. Fingers can be pointed all day long saying who's fault it was, but if the back and forth conversation is pulled by the company it will be made very clear who was at fault. It was Brian. Brian made a simple mistake that turned into a very time consuming ordeal.
