    I purchased mine and my husband's phone through a merchant that offered buy one get one through AT&T on November 15th. At purchase I refused the insurance. On November 30th I find a Visa authorization on my bank account from Asurion for $149, I never gave them my information. After spending 45 mins on a 3-way call between myself, AT&T and Asurion this company says because I don't have insurance with them that they're unable to see the charge and therefore telling me that they have not billed my bank account and can not help me.

    My bank spent almost an hour trying to find numbers to call Asurion and when contact was finally made they said they were gonna transfer her to someone who could help only to hang up instead. My bank can only file a dispute once the charge has been completely posted to my account. I called Asurion yet again after leaving the bank only to have someone tell me, "Sorry for your inconvenience. Sometimes when people have access to your account they can use it for their own benefit, here let me transfer you to someone who can help you," only to hang up instead. Still unresolved.

    I’m filing a BBB complaint at the moment. My daughter lost the original return envelope. I request a new one, which didn’t come and called again. Received two envelopes approximately one week later. Sent the phone back in one of them. Now I’m being charged for non returned equipment? Apparently you only logged the original envelope and don’t log customer service calls. During a 46 minute call on 11/30/17 with three different people I was told the same thing over and over. Each claimed I didn’t send the phone, so in so many words my integrity was being questioned. I was also told I should have recorded the tracking number on the envelope. I wasn’t expecting this to happen or I would have. Ridiculous. Not too impressed with Asurion at this point.

    Dropped my phone, damaged its ability to operate. Went to Verizon store and learned they no longer assist with insurance claims. Went to the Asurion website and was unsuccessful in resolving my issue. Discovered a phone contact number, spoke to an Asurion representative who quickly and competently assisted. Found I would need to pay $90+ for a replacement phone. Made a credit card transaction and a refurbished phone, with updated technology compared to my broken phone, was received within 48 hours. Activation took over 4 hours but the Asurion technician assisting me was helpful and persistent. Instructions for returning my damaged phone were clear and concise and a prepaid mailing envelope was provided.

    I encountered a problem with the replacement phone (bad speaker), called Asurion, explained the problem and they sent me a (like) refurbished phone within 48 hours. Activation was easy; however, this phone, again, did not allow me to clearly hear voice when using the speakerphone feature. I (again) called Asurion, explained my problem, also told them that my poor hearing (military, aircraft and weapons) could be a part of the problem. I asked if there was a phone that might have a clearer sounding speaker and the Asurion technician sent me a new phone, with even better technology, that allows me to clearly hear and communicate. Despite the process of exchanging telephones, I feel like Asurion more than held up their end in providing me a replacement phone. I would purchase insurance from Asurion and would encourage friends and family to do the same.

    Husband's phone developed a cracked screen and subsequent malfunctions. Asurion replaced with a different model as they didn't have the one he had anymore. After about a week of using that phone, my husband looked at me and said he absolutely hated that phone. I called Asurion and they graciously sent another, newer model. That phone had issues with calling, kept cutting out. Called Asurion again. Bless them, they not only did not get upset, but sent out another, brand new phone.     I think the problems I mainly had were with Verizon as they made no effort to help or give suggestions in any way. I live 20 miles from any Verizon store & had to make 4 RT & only one was beneficial. The problem I had with Asurion was I had old phone activated while mine was replaced, but the claim form showed that phone & not the phone I needed replaced. I think I had to have temporary phone disconnected & put info for damaged phone put back on my account. A friend ended up calling Asurion to complete the phone because it had to have exact date the phone was last in service. The Asurion person contacted Verizon themselves while we were on the line to get the exact date.

    It was stressful but mission accomplished. I was shocked when they said next day delivery because there is no such thing as overnight service in this tiny town, but somehow Asurion came through & I was shocked. "Kudos" on that one. I was surprised that the deductible was $149 when Verizon said it would be $99 & that is what was stated in last letter about new monthly charge of $6.99 & new deductibles would be $49 or $99.     When my cell phone was stolen last month, I had to call the Verizon Help Line several times before I was connected to Assurion. After learning I had to pay another 150 dollars for this stolen S7, I received the new phone quickly, but setting the phone up to get it activated was a bad experience. I could not get the nano card into the phone at first. I did not the instructions that came with the phone that helpful. So, weighing the 1 star for Verizon support against about a 4 star for Asurion, I decided on the 3 stars for the overall experience.

    I cannot say that the first time I needed the Asurion service that they did their jobs, but they did try to get off the hook on a technicality, and were frankly successful in doing so. Thank goodness for Verizon owning the experience since Asurion did everything they could to pass the buck, however literally two months later when I had my phone stolen after it had been replaced by Verizon, Asurion did a fantastic job owning that situation and replacing my phone in a prompt manner.     I got the replacement because my other phone was practically not usable anymore. The new phone came in & was at least 10 times slower than my old broken one & I couldn’t take any type of video on the device.     When I first called about my damaged phone, I was told that it might be possible to just replace the screen since that is what was damaged and the phone still worked. However, by the time we returned from our trip (two weeks later) I was told that the parts were no longer available to fix the phone.     Filed claim with Asurion to replace broken iPhone. Although they sent a replacement device within 24 hours, the replacement device (which they plainly said had a one year warranty) powers off at least twice a day and requires hard restart. After three calls and over an hour on the phone with their "Technical Department," I was sent to Verizon because of "compatibility issues." Verizon couldn't get phone to work correctly either. Rather than provide a replacement device, Asurion wants to continue to have me work with their "Technical Department" and continue to give me the runaround.

I buy a brand new device, accident happens, I claim insurance and get a used, repaired device that didn't function anything like a new one should.     We recently had a washing machine problem with our Maytag Bravos washer purchased from Home Depot. Asurion is the warranty service provider for appliance warranties purchased from Home Depot. The issue began on November 12th when the machine displayed an error code "F54". The 3rd party servicer was sent by Asurion on the 15th of November.

    The tech was NOT knowledgeable and spent over 1 hour on the phone calling in to ask his company what to do next. He then left and said he would be back in 1 hour. Over 3 hours later, he returned only to tell us he could not fix it. Although they believed it might be the control board or the motor, Asurion refused to send all the parts that may be needed and would only send a new motor as that is what they believed to be the problem. They refused to send the control board because; in the words of the tech, "Asurion will not send parts until you PROVE the parts are needed."

    Asurion will send 1 part at a time until the machine is fixed. If it takes 1 week to receive and install a part and you have 3 parts to replace, you are looking at 3 weeks minimum to be without a washing machine. According to the supervisor I spoke with at Asurion, it is PERFECTLY REASONABLE TO TAKE 2 - 3 WEEKS TO REPAIR A WASHING MACHINE!!! Can you imagine if this were your refrigerator? The only time I have lived without a refrigerator for weeks is after a hurricane! Asurion cares NOTHING about the customer and in my considered opinion their lack of service sullies the good name of companies such as Home Depot. This washer is only 2 years old and it is very likely (per the tech company) that our machine will end up being rebuilt with remanufactured parts. According to the supervisor at Asurion, the parts would be new. I have a tendency to believe the tech company and believe the supervisor at Asurion was lying.

    This is a travesty of service. As a CFO, I understand inventory and cost control. However, Asurion's total disregard for the customer is unacceptable and a reason for the continued failing of so many companies. Although I like the service at Home Depot, you can rest assured I will not make another major appliance purchase from Home Depot as long as Asurion is their warranty service provider. My recommendation to all who read this is to verify the warranty service company before you make any major purchases. If Asurion is the warranty service company, buy elsewhere.

    Two additional items I should note: 1- Asurion is also the warranty service provided for iPhones. I have used this division of services in the past and the service was 4 star. 2 - Apparently the appliance division is completely different from the phone division. My experience was a canned, packaged response to the anticipated disgruntled customer. This, in my opinion, indicates that Asurion knows they put the customer last and they prepare these canned responses in anticipation of these events. When things do not go their way, they audibilize their canned finish over the customer who is expressing their concerns and then they hang up on the customer... as the Asurion supervisor did to me on 11/27/17.

    Asurion replaced my S7 within 24hrs, GREAT SERVICE!! The $149.00 replacement fee plus the $11.00 monthly is a bit much. The replacement fee should be lowered or adjusted according to the number of replacements a customer claims within a 1 to 2 year period.
