    Ever since I received my new phone I have a problem with dropped calls. I have to resort to using my husband's identical iPhone. Also incoming calls can not hear me although I can text to the same number. I had to also disable the LTE to get any reception. Is my new phone a refurbished one?

    I have called at least 6 times to request a reshipment of a lost phone. Each time I got disconnected or sent to the wrong department. Then I received a letter saying I was insured only to find out Asurion cancelled it. It seems the paper mail is a month behind what happens on the computer. When I finally got thru to Tech Support they said the replacement was activated but Verizon says it was not used. When I question this Tech Support stopped talking and sent me to Verizon. Verizon is saying Asurion should replace the phone since it appears lost. What a runaround.

    Phone insurance is awesome! When my son broke his phone I was grateful I had it, phones are so expensive! The only thing I found challenging was that he broke it in such a way that you couldn’t turn it on anymore.     Third time was the charm. The first 2 replacements were damaged. I did lose my cloud on the third but what I believe is a new phone which works. It does get hot but it works and Asurion did replace and ship in timely manner. Everyone tells me not to keep insurance but Phone cost is extreme and replacing with new phones is fiscally foolish. I on fixed income so even though replacing 3 times is frustrating I am happy with service. Some phone calls should be checked as I was given bad info by at least one agent, Verizon staff was patient and accommodating.

    I've had Asurion for a number of years. I cracked my Verizon iPhone 7+ screen and sent it in for replacement. The fee was $199. The phone I was sent is unstable. Gyroscope is off and my suspicion is it is not even a Verizon phone rather an unlocked refurbished phone re-appropriated for Verizon. I have had other iPhones unlocked abroad for use in foreign travel and those lines, dark screens, and shaking screens that others have also mentioned are the result of a phone being unlocked and re-appropriated for a different carrier. Asurion should be mandated to only use the phones for the carrier a subscriber is with. I unlock iPhones all the time and this is what unlocked iPhones do. Very poor ethics for an insurance provider charging $199 for a replacement.

    Phone sent to me has a difficult time receiving phone calls, making phone calls, switching from speaker phone to holding to your ear. It seems to go to mute on the receiving end.     I was surprised at how fast their services were, the replacement iPhone 8+ that I got was overheating. I didn’t have that problem with the first iPhone 8+ which I utilized my insurance to replace. So not only did my first phone fall on a Saturday/Sunday for replacement the next business day I had it. When that one started overheating I called Verizon and they said the phones are brand new and that shouldn’t be happening. When he patched me through to Asurion they told me they’re sorry for the inconvenience, as well as expressed concern if I was injured (ironically that sounds crazy to ask, but no joke the phone was unbearable to hold, back was overheating).

    The Asurion representative (who all seem American and not in India like 3/4 of most call centers) he said the phone will be there tomorrow. I was surprised again. However I got an email the following day notifying me there was a delay in shipping, it’ll be there the next day, here’s the tracking number. I personally didn’t think it would have been next day anyways, it was too late in the day.

    So for the TL;DR: fastest support I’ve ever seen, any delays you're notified immediately. They sounded concerned and I really felt replacement of my phone was paramount to them. They all sounded like they were from America. Not some cheap outsourced company who sends the jobs to India and your information isn’t protected. They replace with new (not refurbished, or fixed) phones. If there’s a defect with the replacement they’ll have you a phone the next day. Any delays you're promptly informed. Note: All users: Keep the receipt you get from turning it personally into the post office. It’s your only proof you returned it. Apple users: TURN OFF “FIND MY IPHONE”. Or you could get charged extra. Exceptional service, not one complaint.

    Terrible service. I sent my Dyson Animal to be fixed. They told me it was finished a few days after receiving it. Then told me it needed another part. After 4 weeks I complained I needed my vacuum. They said it would be another 3 weeks. Due to part being in back order. I complained I needed my vacuum. They said they would see what they could do. Next thing I know 2 weeks later vacuum comes and it still is broken. And the only thing they did was change batteries. I contacted Dyson and they say there was never a back order on battery parts.     Asurion sent me two poorly refurbished iPhones with issues within two months, both had issues. First one had lines on screen, and the second phone experienced battery drainage within a month. I tried to file a claim but they wanted me to pay full phone price. I never had an issue with Asurion and I've been a customer for almost 5 years. It makes sense, however, since we can only claim 2 phones per year, they are incentivized to send you a phone that does not work properly so that you can pay over $100 on each claim for a refurbished phone.

    One of things I like about Asurion is that they send a replacement phone within a day of making a claim. I also like the aspect of having the option to keep the old phone for $30. I am also pleased that Asurion will offer a similar phone if they no longer have the exact replacement for your phone. Our phones, Samsung Galaxy 3's are very old, but we like them.
