The website is half broken half working. "Guaranteed 1-2 day delivery for phone replacements." 2 days after filing a claim that was approved the same day, I am without a tracking number, it still hasn't left any facility. Their customer support staff will hang up on you and transfer your call without notice or reason. They do not uphold their side of the contract and are completely incompetent. 3 hours and 5 calls and still unable to reach a manager because of representatives and supervisors. At this point, I wonder if they even have management. Or if they do have a manager with half a brain, why they think their customers would tolerate the treatment? This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.

Asurion made sure my products were replaced quickly. They also made sure they were up and running properly. One device that was sent as a replacement didn't work properly, Asurion sent another the very next day! Received scheduled tech calls at the time I had requested! The return process was simple, as they had envelopes and labels packaged for a quick return.

My son sent his phone in for a replacement 3 months ago, and still has not received one. He has been given the run-around and the representative would not let him speak to a supervisor. He has called several times, each time with promises of receiving a replacement phone. The last time he called, he was told that they would send him a refund check, and to expect it in about 2 weeks. That was a month ago! This has been a terrible experience with this company.
Updated on 09/26/18: I have written a review of Asurion, as they have had my son's phone since June! Tasha, from Asurion has replied and told me to send my information to consumeraffairs@asurion.com. I have attempted to do just that 3 times. Each time I try, I received a mail delivery failure email after the 3rd day.Tasha, please reply and give me a better way to contact you. It is way past time to resolve this matter!

Such an easy experience replacing my phone. I was just about paid off on my Galaxy S7 Edge and I was worried about having to use an upgrade for a new phone. I called into Asurion and they were able to give me an S8 Edge (S7 weren't available) for the same deductible. Very thankful I went through Asurion and will continue to do so in the future!

Asurion was fast, efficient, friendly and very helpful during this process. I couldn't ask for a better experience. They truly made me feel like they were concerned about my being happy, as a client, and that they wanted my needs to be met, no matter what it took on their part to make that happen. You don't get that type of commitment anymore from these big companies.

Everything was great except calling in and getting my set up completed due to name change. The customer service, even though long, was good. I just wish I did t have to spend so much time calling back and forth. Other than that I found the process okay. I appreciate the time and effort the staff extended to me and I am hoping if I have to go through this again it will be a much smoother process.

Great service. No issues. The rep was very kind and patient. This was the best experience yet. I was sent a replacement that did not work. It was replaced with another phone of the same kind, which is what I truly wanted. I didn't expect that, so I was very much appreciative of having it sent to me. I wish that all of my experiences were like this one at other companies.

I dropped my iPhone X on Sunday and the screen cracked. I filed my claim on Monday and received my new iPhone on Tuesday. The instructions for swapping phones were clear and easy to follow. My new phone works great. I reset and returned my damaged phone in the prepaid envelope included with the new phone.

I recently lost my phone while travelling and contacted your Asurion to file a claim. They acted in my claim immediately and I was able to connect again in a matter of a couple of days, and this was because I was travelling, otherwise I'm sure it would have been sooner. The process and customer service I received was beyond what I had expected (based on experience with other insurances). I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend.

Lost my phone and made a claim to Asurion. In 24 hours I got a replacement one with all the instructions on how to set it up as well as on how to transfer photos and contacts from the cloud. Service was fast and efficient. I am very happy with Asurion!

I was impressed either the fact that I received very fast service. I received my new phone in a flash! The entire process was easy to understand. I received good communication throughout the process of transferring all I needed to my replacement phone and preparing to properly prepare and return my old phone. I was glad for the prepaid envelope. I wish the deductible was not $150? I suppose that is much better than having to spend way more on a brand new phone.

We experienced excellent service from Asurion in replacing a broken phone. After making the initial call to file the claim, the replacement phone arrives the following day. The phone support for shutting off find my phone feature was helpful. Overall a very easy process to file a claim. This was our 2nd claim filed w/ Asurion in the last 2 years and both were equally satisfying.

My phone was stolen and within an hour I was able to disable it. Approximately 3 hours later, the local Verizon rep helped me file a claim. And within 24 hours of filing the claim, I had a new phone delivered and was back in service. Under the circumstances, I couldn’t ask for anything better...

Very professional. Got my new tablet in less than 24. However I did not like getting an 8 inch tablet when I had a 10 inch tablet. They gave me an 8-inch tablet when I had the 10-inch tablet. They should give me back my 10-inch tablet. 8 inch tablet is smaller.

Only bad part was losing some apps that I paid for as well as some of the pictures did not transfer to the new phone. Just had not planned on buying new apps to replace old as well as it lost all passwords to my sites. But phone did come quick and does work great.

Asurion was fast, accurate and I was thrilled with their service. I would recommend all having their phones insured. Even though there was still a fee I saved hundreds of dollars when I lost my phone. Without this insurance I may have to have waited for a few weeks to get another one. Phone arrived the next day. Return envelope made return simple. There were Easy instructions on how to back up and reinstall my apps and info from iCloud. The Worst part was reentering passwords for apps, replacing protective glass for screen and camera lens, and the amount of time it took to reload pictures and other items from iCloud backup.

Sent my phone in for a replacement and never received the replacement. I've reached out several times and to all portals imaginable and they keep sending me in a circle, refusing to help. I've been without a phone for about a month now trying to get this figured out and fixed but still nothing. THIS IS PROBABLY THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. BEWARE!!!

I have 10 lines in my AT&T account and was recommended to purchase a group insurance plan and what they will say is it will cover multiple mobile phones in the account. But they only cover three. And one claim affects the others in the group which wasn’t told but written in terms and conditions so difficult to understand until you face the issue at hand. One of friends claimed a damaged mobile on my account and it impacted the others and their insurance deductibles are reset and have to pay full deductible even though the others haven’t claimed. They are now asking me to pay a full deductible of $225 for an iPhone that’s worth $100 for a trade in at AT&T. What a joke. AT&T just sells you these without explaining these conditions and ask us to read and understand the terms and conditions and that’s how these people make money. DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE FROM AT&T or Asurion.
Hi Praneeth, I do understand how this may be frustrating, rest assured we are happy to help. Typically, the deductible is based on the length of time you have been enrolled, the last time a claim was filed, the date of the incident and the type of device you are claiming. To be eligible for the discount you need to be enrolled for 6-12 months without filing a claim. Once you file the first claim, you will need to wait 6 months to be eligible for another discount. If all lines are on the same account and enrolled in our Multi-Device program, each line would need to wait a minimum of 6 months to receive the declining deductible, as there is only one discount available per account. The benefit of the Multi-Device Protection Plan is being able to cover all lines at a reduced monthly payment, rather than covering each line separately. Plus, you are able to make up to 6 claims in a 12 month period and 3 claims at a time or in the same day. I am happy to take a look over your account. On September 19, 2017, I purchase a Maxwolf Commercial Food Mixer from Amazon. I paid cash in the amount of $1255.02. This included a 4-year protection plan from Assyrian. The machine is over 150 lbs. When I received the machine, it seemed unleveled because it shook when the mixer was turned on. I thought it was because I needed a mixing table to stabilize it. I brought a steel table the same month online, but the machine continued to shake when mixing food items. I noticed that a screw was missing. You must carefully look to notice it because it is built into the machine. The screw can only be removed by the manufacturer. I phoned Amazon to no avail. They sent me to Asurion. Asurion sent email to me to mail the package. They sent a UPS Shipping label. This package can only be picked up by the shipping company. It is too heavy for me to deliver it.
To make a long story short UPS Picked up the package finally on June 16, 2018. I have the pictures of the man loading the mixer on the truck and drove off with it. UPS said they do not have the mixer, but they sent a picture to my email which resembles my mixer on 9-6-18. The mixer they have is broken into pieces. This is the info I have: Reference# **, Order# **, UPS Tracking# **. UPS Supervisor name is Ms. ** and Ms. **. I talked to them 8-16-18,8-30-18, 8-30-18, 9-4-18. Mr. ** on 9-14-18 which he and Ms. ** in Packing Investigation Department said all papers was sent to Asurion Showing proof that the mixer was picked up by them. I talked to Asurion and they said they closed the case due to no papers were sent to them.

The 24hr delivery was great. I had a working phone and the same exact kind. Protecting it is the first priority that I'm taking with this new one. The process in receiving was fast and simple. It was a great experience. If I have to do it again hopefully not I would be satisfied again as I am now.

I purchased a TV & a protection plan from BJ's in Nov 2015. My TV had a screen issue in Sep 2018 where half of the TV screen won't work, I filed a claim & that's where my harrowing experience began. The Asurion customer service associate mentioned to me that someone would be visiting my apartment but nobody turned up. I had to take time off & lost my pay just so that I can be home on the scheduled day of service.
The service was rescheduled and the person visited & took some pictures. Post that I had to follow-up multiple times with Asurion and each time I was told that the claim is in progress, one fine day without informing me Asurion decided that the claim is complete & closed. The reason: The TV isn't working because of a physical damage. There is no physical damage to my TV and the pictures which technician took also prove the same but apparently it's classified as a physical damage. I am not sure what categories Asurion covers but I personally don't see a reason for buying the protection plan if it doesn't help your appliance with protection. Avoid buying an insurance plan from Asurion as the insurance doesn't seem to cover basic issues of your appliance after it stops working.

I’ve been paying monthly insurance on my iPhone for nearly 2 years through Asurion. I cracked my screen and filed a claim to have it fixed. After going through a bunch of steps with the woman on the phone, it turns out I would STILL have to pay to have the screen fixed. What is the purpose of paying HUNDREDS in insurance if I still have to pay to have a screen replaced. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I will never get insurance with this company again. What. Waste of my time and money. Absolutely disappointed and aggravated. I want my money back. Let this be a warning to anyone considering getting coverage with Asurion.

The agent did great and was very helpful. My only issue is after paying for insurance for numerous amount of years I found it very difficult to pay $200 deductible. I have been paying for insurance and devices for approximately eight years and felt that I have covered that many times over.

Response time was quick and they were helpful on getting our issue resolved. Even when we received the replacement device, it was also not working properly. So they sent a new device again and we received it the next day. We love the fast service and great customer service as well.

The phone was delivered the next day. We couldn’t be more pleased with the service we received. A difficult situation easily solved. We would recommend anybody with a cell phone to opt for insurance. So phones are so easily damaged by a drop or they are sometimes stolen.

I broke my white iPhone 7 and called to have it replaced and was told they only had black iPhone 7S... A few weeks after receiving the replacement, it stopped function--it dropped calls, I could not hear the other person or they could not hear me, the Bluetooth disconnected and the phone would shut down randomly and the battery stopped charging properly and in the phone settings under the battery setting, it stated the battery was damaged.
I called this into Asurion and the customer service representative I spoke with told me they had a great promotion and I could open up another line with AT&T and they would give me a free phone and the phones he named were old phones from a few years back... I insisted on invoking the insurance and I ended up having to speak to three different representatives before they finally stated they would replace the dysfunctional phone they had sent me, however, they still only had black phones, no other colors available.
I received the second replacement and sent it back within their return time frame and today I got slammed with a $549.00 fee for allegedly not returning their phone when I returned it to them almost two months ago and the representative I spoke with today tells me it takes them 3-4 weeks to scan the phones received so that I have to just pay up the $549.00 and if the phone does get scanned in they will refund me then. I cancelled my service with Asurion and will never again use this shady, fraudulent company again, they will take your money, send you crappy, refurbished phones and then charge you the price of a new phone for a refurbished one because they can't scan returned items in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee a same-color replacement since color is a cosmetic feature and does not affect the functionality of your device. I ruined two iPhones in a 3 month period due to water damage. The first one ended up in my washing machine and a few months later my replacement phone got wet and ruined while taking my boat out of the water, it was in my pocket and I waded in too deep. In both cases Asurion cheerfully replaced my phones in a manner that was easy and super fast. In both cases my replacement phones showed up on my doorstep within 24 hours of submitting a claim. I highly recommend Asurion!!!

Asurion handled the replacement of both my phone and my wife's phone from screen damage in an expedited manner. It only took a couple of days to replace our phones. I bought a watch off Amazon. The watch quit working after two months. I did not know at the time but Amazon sells most of their watches as gray market watches. This means the watches are not sold by authorized retailers and are not eligible for manufacturers warranties. Asurion has a contract to do warranty work for Amazon. I think Asurion covers tv's and phones and merchandise for other sellers too. I contacted Asurion by phone and worked with a polite, professional rep. It was an easy process. Forgot to mention I first had to go online and register my purchase as I had not done so immediately after purchase. He emailed me a postpaid label so I would not have to pay postage.
It arrived in my inbox five minutes after the conclusion of our conversation. He said it would come within two hours. He also informed me that it could take four weeks. It took eight days. It was mailed back as two day priority instead of the cheaper for them 4 - 5 day method. I got my watch back in perfect working order. There was even a certificate enclosed that showed the results of a pressure test they had done to ensure it's water resistance to 10ATM. Very satisfied with their performance.

These people are some of the rudest people I have dealt with. I pay monthly never filing a claim. Now I need a new screen and I have to deal with these people treating me like I am stupid. I will pay $1000 for a new phone before dealing with these people again. Cancelled!! C'mon AT&T, you can do better than these hacks.

I pay a plan with Freedom and in the bill I pay 10 dollars for the insurance for my cell phone, In July I broke my Samsung 8 plus. Went to Freedom they told me that insurance is with Asurion that everything is done online. I started the process. At 3 days they sent me a new phone but it was not an S8 plus. It was only S8. I called and started my odyssey with this company. They told me to return the phone that they sent me by mistake and the one that had damaged me. I sent the two and wait for the confirmation mail they had received that mail. Never arrived. Since then for about 2 weeks just receiving excuses.
They told me they did not have the S8 plus but in 7 days they would compensate me for the wait with the new S9 plus, it's been two months and I keep calling and always excuses are two months I do not use my phone and I pay the bill including the 10 dollars of insurance that adding up are already 20. And as things go I will continue paying and I do not see any solution and I do not know what else to do because when I call the only thing they tell me is to wait for an email and follow the instructions. Last they say that Freedom has no proof of the phone that is in my plan but it is a lie because I have the copy of the contract and clearly says that I have a Samsung 8 plus and that I pay 10 dollars of monthly insurance. Now I do not know how much longer to wait for a solution.

Customer Service was awesome. Delivery was great. The phone however doesn’t seem to work as well as my previous phone. The phone hesitates and the mechanics or software seem a bit off. All and all I’m glad I didn’t have to pay full price for another device. Thank you for the tremendous customer service.

The first phone I got as a replacement was not working properly on the day after I got it. I called Asurion and once it was determined that the problem was with the phone, a new phone was sent to me the next day, and I was given help to set it up and check that it was working well. I am pleased with the response and help I got from Asurion.

The delivery was fast. I appreciate the timing cause being without your communications I lost my whole bag and I'm so glad it was fingerprint locked because no one can use it or get any of my personal information from it. Asurion says that they’ll replace your device with a new one if you pay their $150 deductible. In reality, Asurion will send you a refurbished (by them) iPhone, which may or may not work. Aside paying hundreds for insurance, I’m also out $150 for a deductible, and all I have to show for it is the 2 defective iPhone 7’s they’ve sent me that won’t connect to Verizon’s servers. Asurion lies and takes and gives little in return. Very dissatisfied.

A bit expensive and there was another suggestion to fix my phone, but the option the Verizon store stated wasn't online. but in the end, I was having issues with the software long before the screen crack. Getting the refurbished phone worked out. Wish it did cost so much but service was good.

Received the phone on day I was told and was happy about that. The part I was disappointed with was turning the find my iPhone off. I don’t have a computer and my phone wouldn’t work so I had no way of doing this. I did talk to a rep though and they said they was able to take care of that for me. However I received 2 different emails from you stating I needed to still turn find my iPhone off or I’d be charged. This upset me since it was suppose to be already taken care of. I then however did later receive an email stating everything was good with my return and I wouldn’t be charged. Just not knowing if it had been before I got that email was frustrating. That truly was my only complaint.

We have had AT&T for many years and had insurance on our phones for many years. My daughters iPhone has a crack in it so I contacted AT&T to see the process. They told me to file a claim through Asurion which I could do online. It was smooth sailing until I got to the point where I had to input a zip code and it would not accept any that I put in. I called and the rep was very rude and treated me like an idiot. She stated that if you put in a zip code and it didn't work then they had no repair facilities around nor any techs that could come to the house so I would have to pay $168 for a new phone instead of the $49 deductible.
However when I contacted AT&T they were not aware of this issue. The rep from Asurion even had stated that they were not associated with them. How is that possible. Why do I not have the option of sending the phone in and it gets repaired and sent back? I also never received any documentation that this policy had changed recently. Shouldn't the insurance be available for anyone that pays for it not just a select few? And we do not live in some little town either which I could understand. We live in a large city with even larger cities surrounding but there are no places they are associated with to get it repaired? I mean come on!

Due to some problems with transferring photos from old phone to replacement, I had to contact the tech support many, times over a 24 hour period. The associates were extremely helpful and diligent in trying to solve my problem. About 450 of my oldest photos would not transfer. After numerous backups it seemed the only solution was to airdrop the photos from the old phone to the replacement phone. Many hours were spent with the tech associates patiently researching this problem and attempting to find a solution to this unusual problem.

I purchased a repair plan for a Nintendo 3DS through Asurion, and in the form necessary to send in the system, they state that a systems data may be lost due to repair issues, and that you should create a backup. When the system was returned, everything on it was lost including nearly $200 worth of games. When I inquired about what had happened, I was told that all devices sent to them are intentionally wiped of all data before being sent back.
For anyone unfamiliar with a Nintendo 3DS, the system and all things on it are not able to backed up in any way. This makes it seem as though the technicians working on the system are not aware of this flaw. The Asurion technicians therefore seem inexperienced and not fit to handle fixing the devices the company issues warranties for if they aren't aware of such an apparent flaw. If the technicians are aware of the problem, this means they do not care about things like their customers losing all system data. Whichever it may be, I would not want these technicians fixing any other products of mine.

Worst experience ever. Treat me like a liar and a criminal ask me for 2 forms of IDs and the person I talked to was not professional at all. If I had the opportunity to change insurance I would do it. You guys have a bad way of dealing with customers if we are calling to replace a device and are willing to pay the outrageous amount you charge y’all should not ask so many questions. I mean if my device was stolen replace it, if it was broken replace it. That's why we pay. Quit being ** about it.

I got replacement phone due to my daughter breaking the screen within 48 hours of my form submission and did not work. This happened two times in a row, on the third time I was sent a brand new equivalent phone that works great. My daughter is quite happy with it.

The service was fine, except that when I asked about a full refund if I found my original phone, the operator could only say a "refund". They should know the answer. A $149 deductible on an i Phone 6+, which is only worth about $100 in trade, is way out of line. If I had saved three insurance charges, I could have bought a replacement phone for less - which is maybe what you did. Not a good deal.

The only thing that didn't run smoothly was the first replacement phone that was sent, on which the touch screen was faulty. I suppose many refurbished phones are not quite as good as new. However, even that was dealt with efficiently, with a second "new" phone arriving a day later. That phone has given me no trouble. The claim website was relatively straightforward. The agents were pleasant and helpful. Returning the damaged and faulty phones was a breeze. It was a relief that this particular process was relatively stress-free; not having a working phone is bad enough without any more aggravation!

AVOID ASURION! - Poor business practice and poor product. Fast grab of premium and deductible for unprofessional and shoddy service. Three weeks, two unusable replacements, third replacement shipped to wrong address and returned to #Asurion. Because of their poor product and errors the customer is now required to file affidavit and jump through more hoops. All we receive is canned replies that they appreciate my frustration and will do what they can to remedy the situation, as well as hang up when we ask that we be escalated to higher service tier.

I received an email BEFORE I sent my phone in to get a screen replacement that said I would have it back within 3 business days of the company receiving it. I mailed it in Thursday and got an email saying they received it on Friday. Based on the original email, I was expecting it back on Tuesday. Today, Monday, I just got an email stating that I won't get my phone for another 5 business days meaning I have to wait another week. I wish I had never sent my phone in. It wasn't worth it at all because I need it for school work and day to day activities. Your best bet is getting Apple Care instead, it will save you time because they offer same day screen replacements. With Asurion insurance it is $30 for a screen replacement, that's the same with Apple Care. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the service, you cannot tell customers that a repair process will take 3 days when you know it won't. I don't recommend Asurion to anyone.

I was expecting a price of $89. Was very disappointed when you charged me $149. You only charged my wife $89 for her G5 six months ago. Rethinking whole insurance thing because of it. Otherwise service was good and speed of delivery was exceptional. I did not have an easy time with start up. Could not get the pictures from the old phone to the new phone even though I have done several startups in the past.

The current phone I have now not charging properly just like the last issue I had. Once I plug the charger in the percentage on the battery keep decreasing. So I have to turn the phone off completely and wait a few minutes to restart it, then it will charge and during the process I have to keep unplugging it. It would be nice if I could get a proper working phone inside of a refurbished phone. I do pay my insurance each month.

After paying faithfully for the past 3-4 years to the Asurion for our phones I was very surprised to see that they would send me a refurbished phone as a replacement. First of all the personnel that we spoke was extremely rude and made us uncomfortable with her questions. We had to pay $240 on top of paying $13 and change each all these years. Refurbished iPhone 6 for $ 240 and the monthly insurance. Not worth it.

Daughter lost her phone at work. I believe it was stolen at work. Tracked it via Google ping to the home of another employee. When confronted, the ping, that was present for the 2 days while we were waiting for replacement disappeared. I believe he removed the battery from phone. After we made the claim we had a replacement in 2 days. Have used this issuance since I have been Verizon customer, 16 years now. I usually don't buy insurance on things I buy, but this time I did. Thank goodness I had the policy. I lost my phone after returning to the US over the Canadian border from British Columbia. Of course I had security, and the app "Find My Device". Unfortunately though, I had turned it off shortly before losing it. After the four hour trip home, I called the local police where I lost it. Long story short, it's still missing, but canceled, and Asurion provided me a Version 2 of the phone I had. I'm very grateful. Thanks Asurion!

I had my glass replaced on my iPhone 7 in early August through Asurion. The technician was early (nice), and the screen repair was done in under five minutes which I thought was very fast. The screen was working and the glass was replaced so I thought all was well. Just over 30 days later on September 8th my battery oddly would not charge anymore despite being plugged in. When I took the phone into Apple we discovered that the repair technician did not replace two critical brackets that hold down the ribbon cables to the battery and the display.
Apple now has voided my warranty and wants to charge me to replace the battery and the hardware. I went to Fry's Electronics and purchased a battery and a toolkit for $33 total and fixed it myself in a half an hour. The hold down brackets are still missing but the phone is working. The Asurion support phone line was closed at 4 pm on Saturday when I called so I will call back on Monday to get a full refund of my deductible along with a replacement for the missing parts that the technician took with him that day in a rush to do more jobs.
Be very wary of the technicians that are sent out to your home from Asurion to repair anything in your device as the technician cut corners to save time and make more money as they do more jobs and now it has cost me way more than time. I'm just wondering how many other units this technician has messed up due to his negligence? If I could rate zero stars I would have as this is simply unacceptable for a technician to do.

The service that was provided to me was absolutely excellent. However, I feel something should be done about the amount of the deductible that is required in order to have your phone replaced. In an emergency situation much like car insurance, you don't want to have to worry about where this unexpected money is going to come. As a result, I have to rate my experience 4 out of 5.

Was a very good experience.Went to Verizon at 5:35 pm on a Wednesday, when I got home at 5: 30 on Thurs my new phone was here!!! Awesome!!! I had a little trouble getting the new phone connected but I used tech support to get going. Was unable to transfer my contacts, ended up taking out of my old phone onto paper and manually installing them into the new one. Was very tedious, but I have them backed on paper now!

Actually the experience started out not so good, when the repairman scheduled to visit me for a screen repair never showed up. While he said that he attempted to call me to cancel, there was no evidence of a call. However, Asurion did the right thing by replacing my phone at the same cost as the screen repair. I lost my phone on transit. As I had insurance I thought I am lucky and would be able to claim my phone. Initially Asurion said they will ship new phone in few days and everything was great. But then they delayed it continually. Whenever I call them they give same reply, it takes 24-48 business hour to review application. Now, it has been almost 2 months and their answer is still 24-48 hours. Just don’t get what to do. If they don’t wanna give then at least say no we don’t want to give back phone. So I can buy new phone at least.

It just amazes me, I have paid for this protection the entire time I have had my cell phone. I had to pay $140 for a new phone after my phone cracked on my LG. What is amazing is that I had to replace it due to a manufacture defect, and the new phone was as good as a new one? NOPE. LG's you cannot replace the screen, the entire phone. I paid more on the insurance over the years that didn't do much on anything when I needed it.

The screen was broken after it was stolen but found shortly thereafter a replacement was sent very quickly. All information was able to be sent to the replacement phone. The only problem with the replacement is that the buttons on the left side of the phone do not adjust the volume all the time.

I received a call from Asurion, helping to come to a resolution. My biggest gripe here is that the front line of customer service at Asurion doesn't have accurate information to help out with the returns that are sent to the AT&T warehouse, and are adamant when they tell you your device has NOT been received, even if AT&T says it has. They are immoveable, and they only way I finally got to the bottom of it, was by posting here.

After having my phone insured for over 3 years, I needed to make a claim. They send "like for like" so I got an old, outdated refurbished phone, and it turned out to be defective. I sent it back in their box, with their prepaid postal. They claim they never received it. After talking endlessly with Asurion, they finally say they'll send another, but in the meantime, I've replaced my phone with a new one, with a 2-year contract. They refuse to refund me my insurance deductible for the defective phone they sent me as a replacement. So, when I get the next replacement, I give it to my husband to use, and we return his phone instead (this time making sure I have a tracking number from USPS in hand). Turns out, it's also defective! So I send this one back too, and get my USPS tracking number. We get another Asurion replacement device sent for it.
Guessss what! This one is defective TOO. So, we send it back and get the tracking info from USPS, again. In the meantime, they say they haven't received ANY of the previous phones returned, and I give them all the tracking #s and explain that they were sent with THEIR labels to THEIR facility. Asurion says they can't help me, that I need to talk to AT&T to get this straightened out and provide proof from USPS. Well, I have all the tracking labels to prove they've been sent! They arrive at the facility and then are never entered into their system.
I call AT&T, they tell me to call Asurion. So I call Asurion, and they tell me to talk to AT&T, again. After several back and forth frustrating calls, finally, I get someone at AT&T that will help and they tell me all the phones HAVE been received! But, Asurion is not cooperating, they insist the phones have not been received. This has been the single WORST experience of my life in any customer service situation. Defective phones, returned phones not being tracked and entered into the Asurion system so the customer gets tagged with the responsibility for them... and both of these companies sending me back and forth, back and forth! Don't accept insurance from Asurion. You'd be better off figuring out something as an alternative.

After 3 phones, all being sent with old batteries that were no good, they finally agreed to send me a brand new one. They offered to upgrade to the next 2 latest models, but I chose to stick with what I had. They did in fact sent me a new non furbished phone this time. The tech coaches helping to set up the phone are very helpful. The experience was frustrating and time wasting, but they did do the right thing. Hopefully there will not be any further issues going forward. NOTE: They do not send you an actual Apple charger with a replacement phone. They use an aftermarket brand which doesn't charge as well as an original Apple cord unfortunately. But good to have as a spare and they do send one out with every phone without question.

Only issue is our address was not recognized by the system as well as all other community members in our town. If I could give them no stars I would. If you have an insurance plan with your carrier for your phone with Asurion, you should consider canceling it and saving your money. I had an iPhone 6s Plus for 4 years and had an insurance plan for $8.99 per month. One day my phone stops working and I try everything to get it to work again as detailed on various online websites. Still, it would not work. I go into ATT and they said, "Sorry, unless you want to buy a new phone, we cannot help you."
They advised me to call Asurion, my insurance plan that they charge me for and collect my money for. I call them and get a very rude person on the phone, after waiting through their crazy, press this number, press that number and sorry there is a wait to speak with someone. After I finally got her on the phone, I asked her if I could pay a difference and upgrade my phone since the ATT person has just told me that they no longer make my phone. She said, "No, we send you like for like." I said my friend just upgraded their phone with you and she said, "They sometimes do that but sorry today is not your lucky day." So I said, "Well why do I want a refurbished phone that might not work? I have paid $432 (48 payments of $8.99) and I expect to get a new phone."
In addition, she charged me $112 deductible charge bringing my total to $544! For a refurbished phone! Before I could say I don't want the phone, I will just go buy a new one, she said, "Too late I have already processed the order and you cannot change your mind now!" I get the phone in the mail several days later and wouldn't you know it, the phone would not take a charge!

When first contacted Asurion did not have a replacement for the model of phone insured. They would get one to me in approx. 7 days. That was not acceptable as I run a small construction company with this phone number and would have experienced significant loss without phone access for a week. After speaking with a supervisor they agreed to replace with another slightly better phone that was in stock and had it to me within 20 hours.

The only thing I am not happy about is the $149 fee for the replacement phone. I feel this is too expensive!! I purchased my phone in January of 2018 so it was not very old when it was damaged. $149 is an exorbitant amount pay for a replacement phone that I am still paying on to begin with in my opinion. The replacement phone was shipped and received very fast. Switching to the new phone was relatively painless and it is working flawlessly. Because the issue happened so early in the phone's lifetime, this definitely paid off. However, after about a year, the monthly cost of the plan is too much and I will drop the plan from my account.

In the past I've easily had my iPhone 5C screen replaced for $30 (iPhone 5C was less than a year old at this point, so not an OLD AGE phone model by any means) I have an iPhone X now that I have cracked the screen on. The Asurion site wasn't working correctly so I had to call in (waiting 20 minutes to speak with a human EACH TIME I call) to tell me that though my phone is part of the "Total Mobile Protection" they don't have the parts to fix my iPhone X screen that is cracked for $30, so I can wait and see when they come in, if ever, or I can pay $200 to get a replacement REFURBISHED phone in 7 days.
Next, I try calling Verizon. One store tells me that the iPhone X is actually discontinued and they will never have parts for it, the other store tells me that I should try calling Asurion again because they have NOTHING to do with the insurance company that THEY had me sign up for when purchasing the phone and have no access to my insurance information- though I purchased the phone there 8 months ago. Tried calling Asurion again and they refuse to talk to me at this point without an affidavit filled out because now there is a security issue with my account.
Since it's now a Sunday and Monday is a holiday I had to wait until Tuesday to fill out said affidavit for anyone to even speak to me again (even though they have already spoken with me twice). Fill it out, send it back in and now my only option on their site is paying $200 for a refurbished phone. Call them AGAIN and ask to speak with a manager. Wait 30 minutes to speak with said manager who tells me that my only option is paying $200 for a refurbished phone because iPhone X screens aren't qualifying phones for $30 screen replacement.
Strange, since the last 3 people I talked to at Asurion AND Verizon told me my phone does qualify- they are just out of parts for it at this moment. Manager proceeds to tell me that this information is false, she has no idea who or why anyone would say that. Ask her why they advertise falsely and also why this was never mentioned when purchasing the phone or anywhere on their website and she said maybe I should've asked at the time of purchase and proceeded to yell at me about how my phone is the NEWEST MODEL PHONE why would they have parts to fix it? Since when is it my fault that they don't have parts to fix my phone that I pay $13 extra per month with the assurance that I can have my screen replaced for $30 with no down time if needed. False advertisement and awful customer service! Beware paying for insurance you can't actually use!

A week after purchasing my new phone, my phone fell out of my pocket and the screen broke. I immediately called Verizon and then they directed me to Asurion, the phone insurance company. I followed the process and got all the documents submitted within a couple of hours. Then they sent me an update that my replacement phone was being processed and shipping soon.
I contacted Asurion and requested to get a brand new phone due to many negative reviews that the refurbished phones they send are below par. Nonetheless, the phone shipped and arrived within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I received a refurbished phone. No significant damage on the phone aside from small scratches on the back showing signs of use. It's been a month since I received the replacement phone. So far it has been functioning well. On the bright side, Asurion has a one year warranty with the replacement phones, just in case. Asurion is a good phone insurance company. I am satisfied with their service.

Here is our phone, we will call Asurion for you." Made the call in the store with Verizon's phone at 6 pm. New phone was at my home the next day. Could not be happier. This is a must-have service. I know that sounds fake but I am a real customer. I had an appointment and told me that would come from 1 to 3 in the afternoon. I was waiting and did not leave my house and never came to repair my cell phone and call and told me they could not come to make the appointment for another day. Not even called me to say they could not Come are useless. They don't know how to do their job. They think we don't have things to do to make us lose our valuable time if it were possible not to give them any stars.

I have had a insurance through your company on my phones for many years. I have always been happy with the service you provided. However your new policy on filing a claim seems to be way more of a hassle. The affidavit that I had to download and fill out in my opinion is overkill when I file a claim. You have my account number and my credit card number that I pay from the new phone with. There should be no reason to go through those extra steps to ensure that it is my account. Aside from this I am very pleased with the service and the speed in which I got the phone after I took care of all of the downloading and sending back of the paperwork. Overall I will keep my insurance on my account.

I was pleased with Overnight receipt of my new phone. I received extensive and patient tech support from Juan and Devin. The Deductible cost of $19 was reasonable. I believe that new phones should come equipped with screen savers and cases so that they are functionally protected when they are received.

Had a legitimate claim, where I dropped my tablet to the floor, making a crack across the screen. I made contact with your tech service and they talked me through the claim process, and I was provided a website for me to complete my claim. My replacement was delivered to me in about 3 days. We scheduled an appointment online with our claim for a "cracked screen repair" for the same day between 3p-5p. They said the tech would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. We sat at home from 2p-5p and no one ever called or showed up. I finally had to call the company. The "Chat" person, Tracy, told me to call the "888" customer service number because she couldn't help me.
I called the number and while I was on hold, I got an email that my appointment was rescheduled for another date/time I DID NOT CHOOSE! They didn't even ask if that was an ok time! When I finally got someone, he basically said he could "do nothing for me" and was "sorry for the inconvenience" and he could "reschedule another appointment window". This is a HOLIDAY weekend! Once again inconvenienced. They refused to give me the $29 co-pay back for my inconvenience on a holiday weekend. Poor customer service. Very disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this company at all.

Everybody was very helpful and professional - my first phone had some issues, so the technicians tried to help, and then ordered up another phone for me, which has worked perfectly. It was astounding how quickly I had my new phone in hand. The return envelope on my first phone was pretty wrinkled up, so I’m glad my old phone made it to Asurion.

They were thorough and efficient. The turnaround time was great. My son needs his cell phone for his job and being without one causes him many problems. Asurion’s form was well laid out and the instructions were easy to understand. I told my sister about the whole process of getting a replacement for a damaged cell phone and she is going to add insurance by Asurion to her Verizon contract.

I have been paying insurance for years through Asurion and recently have 5 phones on my plan. That’s $65 a month for insurance. Recently my step daughter's phone broke beyond repair so I took the long journey to where she lives to help her with replacement process. It was such a pain figuring out the process. We had to drive to an office store and pay to have affidavit printed out as she doesn’t have a printer. Took picture of signed form. Sent in and they said they would contact us within 24 hours.
They finally got back saying form wasn’t filled out properly. We had to call Apple to go through long process to get SEI number of phone. Waited another day. We had to contact Asurion again. Now they’re saying they won’t send new phone until her "find a phone" is turned off. She doesn’t know how as she lost her Apple password and they only send it to the phone. Which is broken. Back to long calls with Apple now saying it could take up to 3 days to recover. It’s been 4, and a week since starting process with Asurion. And it’s only an older iPhone 6. Now my daughter is in her first week of college with no phone. With all the information I can give over the phone it shouldn’t be this difficult. Gonna put that $65 a month in a savings account from now on.

My daughter's phone wasn't working. Asurion sent her a new one without any hesitation or questions. That phone wasn't working quite right. They sent her a replacement super quick. Never any questions, just prompt, professional service. I would recommend this insurance to my friends. They also followed up with support on how to transfer phone data to the new phones. Phone was delivered very quickly and very efficient. The only thing is you pay for the insurance every month, but then have to pay another $150 to get another one. You can go to your cell phone provider and almost pay the same amount for another one. I was told that by my provider.

My iPhone screen was shattered while on vacation in Vermont. Within 2 days, I was back in business. Excellent! We don't have any certified screen repair location in our area, so I was shipped a box containing a replacement iPhone the next day. Customer service was friendly, and the total experience was simple and painless. This is one insurance plan totally worth purchasing when you get a new phone. I highly recommend it!

Great service. The claim was approved same day and we received a new unit the next business day! I highly recommend adding the insurance on to all your equipment. They acknowledged the receipt of the phone and that had a problem. The device was removed from the iCloud account but keeps reattaching itself. Besides it not working in other ways this was also one of the major issues. I told them this again today. Hopefully this will be the end of this interaction with this issue.

Husband's cell phone's charger port was not holding the plug plus the battery was not holding a charge well. Asurion replaced the phone for the small deductible charge. Best claim experience I've ever had. The claim was handled quickly and efficiently with no problems at all. We had received a new phone within 24 hours of filing the claim. As a paying customer, I expected the service to be much better. The representative as well as their "hire up" lacks communication. There was suppose to be notations within my account to avoid repeating what had occur to my device yet the representative who helped completely ignore that fact. The representative and her boss told me to go to my nearest service provider and they would be able to assist me, well I traveled to the nearest store just to be declined help. Why? Because Asurion is a third party and YOUR service provider would not assist. It's not their jobs.

My complaint isn't so much with Asurion but with their local techs. The guy who initially came to fix my device did not show the 1st two times, the 3rd time he didn't have his equipment and the 4th time he completely messed my device up. Asurion was great about replacing the device. My suggestion is to hire better technicians in this area.

Excellent chat with Kristi, she set up the claim for me when I had trouble on the website. The only issue I had is that I never recieved the affidavit via email, I ended up going back to the website to get the affidavit. Once I was able to download the affidavit, get it filled out and scan the documents to attach to the claim, the rest was easy.

As a customer of Asurion, I have for several weeks, been given the run around by Asurion and Asurion continues to tell me they will get back to me when their system is running correctly. They tell me their system is down and will be back up in 24 to 48 hours. I have gotten these responses from several different people for 2 months since 7/11/2018. The only reason I need their assistance is concerning me receiving a receipt of purchase for the replacement phone I bought on 7/10/2018. I have requested this receipt of purchase more than 10 times either over the phone through speaking to a customer service representative or by requesting a receipt through the online receipt request option offered online through the Asurion website.
All of my requests have seemed to go unanswered and I am not a happy customer at all. I need Asurion to make this situation right with me as soon as possible and send me a receipt for the purchase of the phone I made on 7/10/2018 for a Samsung Galaxy S8. The customer service being provided through Asurion is terrible and I am not all a happy customer. This company should be closed down and reported to not only Consumer Affairs but the Better Business Bureau.
Asurion. fix this problem asap. I deserve better as a customer and you need to make this right. I should not have to file a complaint on Consumer Affairs because your customer service is terrible and because you are unwilling to give me something as simple as my receipt for the purchase of my phone that was made on 7/10/2018 and it is 8/29/2018 and I have yet to receive a receipt.

Great! Asurion was wonderful in replacing my son's phone. The customer service representatives were great to speak with. I am thankful that I purchased insurance, because if I had not, I'd be out quite a bit of money. I have three boys and they're all very active. I always purchase cases for each phone, but still with accidents such as dropping their phones, it's almost inevitable. This past time, though, my 16 year old didn't drop his phone or anything. It just stopped working. Thanks for the 2nd replacement phone, Asurion!
