    Tired of Kare 11 channel constantly losing signal. We can't seem to watch any program and not have it go out at least once during a program. It's been very frustrating! Especially when we pay to damn much for what we get! We almost left Mediacom back when we couldn't watch that channel for a year and now we can't watch it still.

    Mediacom alerted me immediately when my ACP was switched to another company (as a result of my getting a "free tablet" at a roadside stand). They explained the routine and told me how to file a form to get my benefit returned to Mediacom. They responded immediately when they got my worksheet. They fixed the problem and transferred back the benefit so quickly that I didn't incur any additional charges from the unauthorized transfer.     We live in low income housing but two teenaged in high school that have to have the Internet. We only have 2 choices: Windstream or Mediacom. Yes I have applied for the 30$ ACP. However when they remodel the apartments they forgot to include cable or Internet lines (except for windstream internet). It would be nice if this was considered when we go with your company. We are also on a blackout zone so no one can use a hotspot either.

    Mediacom is very good. If we have a problem, they take care of it. If I call them, they work it out and walk us through. But the rates are getting sky high. We're both 84 years old and that's all we do - watch TV. Last year they said something about our rate going down for being senior citizens. But in the last month, it went up $30 and then it went up again $30. I can hardly tell my wife what we're paying because she'd say, "Let's go somewhere else." But I don't wanna do that either 'cause we've been together 65 years. We can't take one program away 'cause we take one section away and we lose about seven different things.

    I have the internet with Mediacom and I use it just for leisure time. It’s good. But they should have better ways of being able to log in to their website. It asks for your member ID or your account number and it should have other options such as the address and phone number.

    The only thing I have an issue with them with is when I call them to come raise up the cost. But they take a month because they have a contract with another company. Also, once in a while, the router has a problem and they update that for me and reboot. Also, the price is too high. I started at $59 and now I pay over $100. Other than that, everything is good.

    Signing up with Mediacom was probably the most seamless experience I've had with any internet provider. I've had three different internet providers other than Mediacom and all of them, especially Comcast, were like pulling teeth. Mediacom was like calling a small business. The person cares at least a little instead of how it’s like when speaking to a corporate entity. I have the internet service with Mediacom and I pay for an extra Eero device. For a few months, we had the troubleshooting package where you could call a number and they would help you with any electronic issues you had. The service has been great. There's been a few outages but it was nothing crazy. It was during storms where everybody was out and we were the first to come back up. Other than that, the customer service whenever I call the storefront is always nice and they help me with whatever I need whenever I need it.

    I moved into my sister's house, and she had Mediacom previously and had a good time with them. We swapped to WOW when I moved here and they were horrible. So, I took my sister's advice and I went to Mediacom. Since then, everything's been good. I work from home. I do a little bit of marketing, and I own a lash studio on top of having two kids that like to game and stream, and we have home security. Their service handles everything that we have going on very well.

    The only thing is I had signed up for autodraft billing, and it took two months for that to go into effect. So, my service was interrupted because of an unpaid bill. I called it and the lady I spoke with was fantastic and it was resolved in under five minutes. She found the issue very quickly and she informed me of what I may or may not have been informed of before, and we got it resolved super smoothly. So, it was very good. As far as the price, I'm still under their one year new customer special. So, right now, I'm only paying 75.

    I've been with Mediacom for so long, and I haven't had any problems with any of the customer service reps. The internet is a bit pricey for just the one service that I have. The internet service is okay, but every now and then, depending on my local channels, they go in and out. I have antennas for my local channels, and sometimes, it'll say, "no service" especially in my living room. I'll have to change my channel or go to live TV, but that's the purpose of me having the antenna, so I don't have to do live TV. The regular TV is fine. In my kitchen, it's not a problem. I had considered getting a different type of antenna, but I said, "Why should I go buy another antenna?" I got that little box thinking that would be a better service, but, to me, it doesn't pick up as good as not having it.

    Mediacom Cable's installers came out and programmed the remotes to the TVs, so that's good. But when the remotes wouldn't pair up with the TiVo, I just gave up on it because I didn't wanna waste all my time when I had too much work to do. And no one even watched TiVo in the first place, so I had it unhooked and returned it. Also, The TiVos kept having issues. I had them go out three times on me because they would overheat and fry themselves. So, all we're using now is the internet. Also, cable is way too high. They need to lower their prices. But the internet is okay as priced.

    Although I am pleased with your internet connection I am not pleased with your cable service. The price is too high, the movies are always repeated. A lot of unnecessary channels that do not have a good selection of shows or movies. The same content over a period of 1-3 months kept being repeated.     When we first got our service in July 2019 it was $250 a month. We may have added one box but spending $425 a month for your top-of-the-line package is ridiculous?     A Mediacom technician came out on Thursday, Sep 28 because my cable has been buffering and us getting worse and worse. He was not able correct the problem because a “bucket truck” is required. There is too much signal coming into the house. When I called Mediacom to report the problem on the 26th, I told the Agent that it appears that too much signal is coming into the home. I told her that a bucket truck would be needed but of course mediacom sent out a technician without a bucket truck on the 28th. The technician told me a bucket truck will be at my address within 72 hours. It has been 144 hours and no bucket truck. We called mediacom customer service 3 times since Sep 28. Each time we were told “you are scheduled for today between 8 and 8." We were told that on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Can someone please look into this.

    I have continually reached out to customer service for help with our ongoing internet problem.     I have lived here for 13.5 years and Mediacom is the first company I signed up with because back then, there was a $19 deal. So, I accepted that and the price kept on going up. But it is what it is. I have the internet and a landline but I just leave it unplugged because I was getting constant spam calls on it. But it comes in handy if I set my cell phone somewhere and can't find it. I call myself. I like that I can pay by phone. It’s convenient and Mediacom doesn't charge for that. If service gets interrupted for some reason, they're right on it and get it fixed. There are a lot of good things about them.

    Mediacom is the only cable service or internet service that's provided in my area and their service has been of good quality. I had a technician come out two times out of the six years I've had it. Lightning had hit the box outside and my TV, stove, and Wi-Fi box blew up.     Mediacom is the best around. They were always pretty prompt and worked the problem. So, I've never been mad at them because they always work. One time, there was a hacker down my street and they were able to find it and took care of the problem. Several years ago, I kept losing the internet particularly on the weekend and at certain times of the day, right after people get off work. It was off and on. Mediacom checked my system. They said they checked the systems on the street and I know they did because I saw them with the truck. They seemed like they couldn't find anything, but it kept happening.     Historically, Mediacom has been abysmal as a company that provides service. In the last year, they've improved, but not to the point where we're satisfied. I also live in South Florida, so I have Comcast at our home in South Florida. Comparatively speaking, Comcast is a 7 or 8 on a 10-point scale, while Mediacom's a 5. We pay for their service for just the months we use it when we're in Iowa for vacation and that is one of the things I like about Mediacom. We're only in Iowa three months a year, so instead of having a $250 bill every month that's only for six months, the other six months, our bill is around $20. But the price of the bundled high-definition TV is something that has to be reexamined, because who wants 70% of the channels that I'm paying for? I don't.

    Aside from that, when I'm in Mason City, I'm working at an office in the basement. With our plan, we have a relatively high-speed connectivity, which is one of the reasons we pay as much as we do. But it's working fine only 70% of the time. When the high speed is not working correctly, the streaming doesn't work either. Also, the outsourcing of telephone support is unacceptable. You get too many people who can't speak English or has English as a second language. And for a company like Mediacom that needs good customer service, outsourcing customer service is one of the poorer ideas that whoever is in charge of customer service has come up with. Might save some money, but it doesn't work on a lot of things.

    Other than that, when we had a service technician come to the house, he was outstanding and very open. He was right on time, helpful, and offered to do more than I expected. But historically, since there are no representatives in Mason City, the ability to obtain service assistance has been based on somebody driving from Des Moines or Charles City or Ames. And that has not been very satisfactory. Also, when I wanted to replace my modem, I called and they said they'd ship one to me or I could take it to the service center. So, I took it to the service center and they said they don't exchange equipment anymore. They said they stopped doing that about four months prior. So, there was a disconnect there. In the end, I didn't get the part I needed and somebody had to come out two days later. In the meantime, we had no connectivity.

    I merely asked to have 2 tivos removed from my house since they were no longer needed. Having talked to many people every time I got a different # to be charged. At one point I was told I would be sent a 360 thing that I would plug in and wouldn't be charged. In reality I was charged a lot including $56 on my bill. And a visit to my house where they spent about an hr fixing something. And he said there would be no charge. I got all kinds of explanations. I didn't ask for it and it has made my internet worse. And I was charged. I made an appt and then cancelled to make sure it wasn't my computer. It wasn't. A friend who had it installed same day as mine has same problem. I still have to call and have them come to try to fix it.

    Up to this time I have been happy with Mediacom but after this experience it seems the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. And I am paying money for it. I have paid extra money for getting rid of Tivos, got a 360 that I didn't request and I had to pay for and my service is less than it was for the internet. Previously only problem I ever had is when internet went out. Now sometimes I have to re sign in every day. Not happy with the 360. And very unhappy with all explanations of what I was charged for. My old service stopped on 8/14 which was when the new billing started. Didn't matter next bill was 323. Why/who knows.

I was also told that I might be able to get Mediacom to give me the CATV wire to replace it with however the complex where we live will not replace the cable so I am now looking into canceling this Mediacom sub. And trying to get DISH streaming connection. We are just getting by but it is very poor service we are getting for the nearly 350.00 a month we spend on cable and Internet. The best thing would be to just cancel and try something else.

    Internet is not consistent, and slow in connecting. Had CenturyLink and it performed better.     Got the eero and instructions said I needed an activation number so I called to get it because I didn’t receive a welcome letter like the instructions said. The guy ended up setting it up over the phone. I then could not access the eero through the app so called back and the lady was looking over my account to help with the issue and then we got disconnected (probably due to the loss of internet). I called back and asked if we could just unregister the device and start over since I guess I didn’t need the activation code so the instructions were wrong. He tried to assist but my internet was not working. The online button kept blinking. He set up for someone to come look at it but the earliest is 2 weeks away and so far my bill has not been prorated.

He cleaned up afterwards and again asked if I had anymore questions. Problems arise the following day after installation and I called service center and Clyde didn't know what he was doing very well, guessing he was new to job. He kept putting me on hold. I called as I had no Internet and he in turn wiped out my phone service and I never got Internet back. They put in a service call for Friday and Evan returned and got my phone back on.     My family and I called Mediacom customer service multiple times and their service was good. What dissatisfies is that when we moved to the area I contacted to see if service was available. I was told that it was but that it was fiber optic cable and had to talk to another rep. That rep informed me service was not available and said that regular internet was available. After being transferred back I was told no service was available. Later I called back after doing more research and was told I could sign up and service was available.

    The technician came and said that a cable needed to be hurried in the property. That order was placed and I was told that it could take 30 days. Needing internet for military / telework and my kid’s school I asked if we could expedite this. I was told we could ask but that is it. I’ve called back over the last three weeks to get an update and have been told I cannot get updated or be given a contact number with the company that will install the line, leaving my family and I in limbo. This is highly frustrating as there aren’t that many service providers here so we really have no other option. I’ve asked multiple times to please speak with the company doing the installation, but the rep always says they cannot get that info.

    I understand people can be bothersome to customer service when it comes to these issues, but all I need is to have an idea of when I can get access. Given my line of work, having kids in school and my wife doing remote college it is becoming very restrictive. All I really want is to have forward motion towards resolution but am told “we don’t know” and “we can’t get that Information.”

    Mediacom is the only wifi network in the city and it’s what we use here. There’s a lot of buffering going on and it was quite frequent before. Usually, we unplug the box for a little while and then plug it back up. Or if it's to the point that the wifi is not working for my cable, then I call in. But I haven't had to do that too often. I just signed up for the eero and that's only been connected a week. The wifi slows down some, but not much. The customer service reps from Mediacom are always nice and cordial. They're very helpful usually when I get anybody. I never have a problem with them. So I like that part. I deal with a lot of pain, so I listen to my music through my wifi and watch my TV. I use it on my phone as well as my tablet. Mediacom is the best service here in Iowa, if someone moved here and didn't know what access to use. Because they got HughesNet here and it was terrible. So I would recommend Mediacom.

    I work from home at night from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM for Ford. I use my internet really heavily, and I depend on it for my job. I started with Mediacom's 300 megabyte internet package, and it was okay as long as it was just me and my computer. If my daughter was over, it was lagging. So, I switched to their 1 gigabyte package after the first three months. It was $10 more a month, and it's been awesome.

    I have had a few issues with them. One night, at 1:00 in the morning, the internet shut off and it said that it was a scheduled maintenance from 1:00 AM to 8:00 AM, which is the time I'm at work. They gave me no notice. So, I was pissed. I called, and the guy was like, "Well, you can't do anything about it." I was like, "Well, if I can't have my internet on when the hours I need it, I don't know why I would have it." If they would have told me a week in advance, that would have given me the chance I can have somebody cover me for the hours, but it just went down, and I had no internet. I live on a lake, so there's no cell phone service. I couldn't call my boss without Wi-Fi to tell him that my computer was down, so there was nobody watching my lanes.

    It would take me an hour and 40 minutes just walking around outside to get service to call somebody I work with to get on and check my stuff. I ended up getting a Mediacom supervisor to call, and they scheduled my maintenance during the day. So, it was a process but I finally got them to do that. Then, I had my internet go out a week ago, and my entire line had to be replaced. They had to dig up my whole yard because an animal had chewed through the whole line. They've done a pretty good job at dealing with it and making it right.

    I've had a good experience with them. They're as good as Cox. Last week, I had a repairman come out here and they set me up on this new program. The repairman was top-notch. He set me up and did my passwords. He hooked my TV up and got it going. He also hooked my phone up and got the internet going. They need to give that tech a raise.

    Service-wise, Mediacom is good. They're quick on getting things resolved. However, the connection is a little iffy once in a while. I don't know what happened. I've never had an issue with them. Not too terrible, but it slows down once in a while. There'll be areas in the house where it won't work. But they let us know if there's an outage fairly quickly.

    I have internet with Mediacom. It runs a lot of things that I'm using on it, a couple of computers and Wi-Fi for my phone. I've also got a couple of streaming televisions that I use on it. I use it with Alexa too. I had a situation where I had a problem and talked with three people at Mediacom. But it wasn't much help. I ended up calling back for some more information and got someone different. He said, "You should have had a new modem a long time ago. I'm gonna change that for you. I'm gonna reduce the price." I appreciate that individual. I got the new modem. The thing that didn't happen was they told me that they were gonna also send a new type of a router and that it would be faster and better, but that did not work at all. It wouldn't work with my Alexa apps so they took it back with them. I went back to my own router and I'm doing okay. I was also overpaying and Windstream ended up putting in through the entire city and had a lot lower price. That assisted me in getting a lower price. I'm happy with Mediacom.

    Mediacom's Wi-Fi is better in my area than most of the other Wi-Fis. I have the Gigabyte service and the speed is good. I use Mediacom for watching TV, streaming, gaming. When the weather is bad, it gets a lot of outages in our area. But their reps were very helpful. Also, I had the booster, but I recently got them re-disconnected since I really didn't notice a difference before I got them.

    I am having problems with the Xtream app or the TV Everywhere. Mediacom can't figure it out. I called Mediacom last night because it wasn't working and I wanted to use it. It said I didn't have access to it. So, they gave me to a technician and we were on the phone for an hour. He called some people and said I should be able to get it even if it's a bulk account. Then he tried something with the main account and it said my Mediacom does not give me access to it. He said that didn't make any sense. So, he called some other lady from a department of Mediacom. They thought they had fixed this TV Everywhere, and they haven't. So another ticket was put in by that lady. Supposedly, that escalates it. But I just tried it a couple of minutes ago and it still doesn't work.

    We're a bulk account and we still pay for TV service. We're supposed to have it anywhere we are at and it keeps saying my cable provider does not give me authorization to do that. And this has been since I moved in. That was over a year ago and they still can't get it fixed. That would make me wanna move. When I had DirecTV, I could watch TV anywhere I wanted if I wasn't at home. And I watched a whole ball game on my phone when I was with DirecTV because I had DirecTV Everywhere. But with Mediacom, they can't seem to figure it out.

    The service went out for almost 24 hours and Mediacom would block my calls and put them on “This mailbox is full.” They put it on the website where I pay and I can see where the outage is and it says where I live but it doesn't say if they're fixing it or not. And you can't talk to anybody. But the TiVo is good. I just don't understand why they can't get the app together. They need to hire somebody that knows how to do it because it can't be that hard to fix the problem.

    Mediacom is the best internet provider in my neck of the woods and the service has been fantastic. When internet issues cropped up, I contacted their customer service and they tended to be right on top of the problem. One time, I had to call because of password problems and after the installation of my new apartment, the network had been unstable. But that was more so a problem with the internet itself connecting for the apartment. So far, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Mediacom's customer service. The cost is usually pretty high, though. I talked to them once to upgrade the speed of the internet in which case they sent me a new modem, and another to remove services from the plan. But trimming that fat hasn't worked. Also, they might convince me to get cable again if they had some actual anime channels.

    A year ago, we dropped the TV part of our service because they priced us out so all we have is internet with Mediacom. It works very well.     We had Mediacom some years back and the experience wasn't bad. It was just that the bill went up higher than what we expected to pay. So we just changed companies. The company we were with this time and had been with for years started going up and up. I wasn't about to pay $300 for a cable bill. I was talking to Jeff and I said, "I pretty much liked Mediacom. Let's try Mediacom again and see." We just wanted to have the internet and phone this time and not the cable.

    Their reps were very helpful when I called them. I wanted to know what day was my bill due and if would it be a late charge. 'Cause she said the 24th. I asked, "If I waited till the 1st, would it be a late charge?" She said no. 'Cause that's the day I'll probably be paying it, on the 1st of each month. It was fairly easy getting through to a representative. It also didn't take long for somebody to come to the phone and I like that. The internet service has been good too. It's not a whole lot of buffering. I'm satisfied with the service.

    I like the customer service that they offer. I talked to a lady when I first called them and I set up my bill. I did that online deal that they had going on. My account number didn't let me log in. She was helpful with that. A subcontractor came out to set it up because they weren't in a marked vehicle. I talked to the tech while he set it up. He showed me how to use the app for the internet. And he was a good guy.

    Mediacom Cable has been treating me well. I enjoy the app because I can see how much our usage is and how much the Xbox is doing. And I can monitor what the kids are doing on their tablets. The only problem I have with the internet service is the internet would drop out sometimes, and I would disconnect from games. It would drop out for 10 minutes and come right back on. And sometimes my latency would spike. But for the most part, it's good. I like it for the upload, download speeds.

    Mediacom was the only one that had high-speed internet in our area. We have three accounts with them and we have their internet service. We used to have a lot of outage issues. Then they ran a new box a few years back and it was really great for a long time. But in the last month or so, we have had glitches, issues, and outages. We have had interruptions of service a number of times. That’s irritating because we work from home. Whenever you're out, that's when you start actually looking at other carriers and providers going, “Okay, this is getting to be ridiculous.” The outages haven't been for extended periods of time but long enough to interrupt your workday and create a problem.

    When we have an outage and we contact Mediacom, they tell us there's no problem in our area. And we tell them there is. Mediacom customer service is super frustrating to try to get through to and have any consistency. For example, my mom is in a skilled nursing facility. They've already got Mediacom in the building to all the residents. But you can add a box for the expanded channel. I did that for her. I ordered the service on a Monday. The tech said, “I'll have to send the equipment to you and then we'll schedule the install." The equipment was supposed to arrive on Wednesday but it didn't. I called and they said it would be there tomorrow, which was Thursday. It wasn't. I called four or five different times and nobody could provide a tracking number or tell me where it was.

    The service was then scheduled for Friday morning between 8:00 and 8:30. I called at 7:00 and said, “You need to cancel this. I don't have the equipment.” I then went on about my day. But my husband comes walking to me with my phone going, “The Mediacom guy’s at your mom's place.” I had to drop everything and rush over there. The tech had some equipment and had shown up over there. I didn't go over there to meet them because I had cancelled the appointment.

    That was a week of complete mess, miscommunication, and things that didn't show up. Nobody knew where the equipment was. I was told the techs never had the equipment. This tech said, “No, I do.” And he was a subcontractor instead of a Mediacom person. He then goes in to hook up the box. They had sent him a box that had been programmed to Iowa stations. That was a big mess to try to get straightened out and that took two hours over there at my mom's facility. That was just television hooking into an already existing service. Another thing is Mediacom is a little bit higher than the others. SpringNet is in our area right now too. But we haven't changed over. We're in the "if it ain't broke" kind of situation because it seems like once you start messing with technology, it starts unraveling.

    I have Mediacom's phone, internet, cable. The cost would be fair if the service has worked. A lot of times, they don't work as they should. But because they have monopoly as nobody else offers anything close to the speeds or service, you're stuck with what they wanna give you. It's not ideal. I've had my router and modem switched out four or five times. The techs are always late and when they are, they don't tell you they're late. This is for those who came in the previous visits. That aside, customer service is really good.

    Mediacom is out to make money and they've gotten so big that customer service comes second. They know they've monopolized the area, so they do what they want. It is what it is and you just have to deal with it.

    Where I live I have 2 choices for internet AT&T and Mediacom. I will never use AT&T. Mediacom's internet service is great when it's working. That being said it's only about 70% of the time. Trying to contact customer service is a joke. Their app runs you in circles having to log in twice just to get to the contact CS screen. Their text msg customer service is so bad the people working there are rude, untrained, and don't have a clue what's going on, and that's if they even bother answering. I had 5 CS agents just disconnect and ended the conversation without even so much as a hello.

    Up till the last two years, the service was pretty good. The last six months have been good, but there for a while, it was nothing but a fight getting stuff to work. They lied to me about my internet, how far it would reach and how good it is. Then they told me it was my house. I have a lap and gap on the inside, and I have wire. It was supposed to go to my garage. I've had to get extenders to go walk through the house. I have internet and cable from Mediacom and I’m paying $273 a month. It just keeps going up and up. I also had them take out TiVo when I was having so much trouble. My son is in law enforcement, and it was on Live PD and the only reason I got TiVo is to record all of it. Then their box quit and I lost all the videos of it. They said they couldn't get it back. They didn't even try.

    When I have an issue, I try and call somebody. Then it might be 7 or 10 days for them to show up and fix it. It used to be that you might call them in the morning, and they get there in the afternoon, or at least the next morning or come by that evening. But now it takes them forever to get over here and fix anything. Also, whenever you call them now, they send you overseas and you can’t understand what they're saying. All you hear is chickens in the background. Last time, everything was messed up over here. Mediacom told me to get this other box thing, so I put it in, and then they came over here and charged me $65 to do that. But it was definitely their fault.

    Mediacom had a lower price and when I started talking to family and friends around here, they said it's one of the best ones that they have. Right now, we only have Wi-Fi, and we have the one gigabyte. The sign up and installation was a good experience. Their guy coming over and setting everything up only took less than 10 minutes. Our first bill was pretty much free for the month. I had to go back in and do it. They did try to help me sign up for something that can help me pay the bill. I'm still waiting for them to approve that. With the situation we're currently in, we do need help paying our bill. I'm trying to start working from home. So, that's one of the main reasons we got the high speed that we did. The service is really good. It doesn't lag much. It's worth it. We're thinking about getting the phone service soon.

    We use their broadband internet service and our experience has been mostly positive. I'm happy that when I call, somebody answers the phone most of the time. We don't live permanently at the home where we use Mediacom’s services, so the going-on-vacation-mode thing has been somewhat a challenge. There was a time when I couldn't return some equipment and they couldn't change my services because of that. That was frustrating. But most of the time they've been pretty great and anybody that's come out to the house to hook things up has been very good. When we're there, the service works fine.     Mediacom seems to be the only one that serves my area and I can't say that I'm that happy with them. But having no other choice, I can't go to anybody else. Sometimes, they give me what they call a customer promotion and I'm happy to get that but they don't always do it. Also, they charge me every time I go back, which I've often wondered about. I don't think I should be charged for an installation when probably all they do is turn it on in the office. But there's nothing much I can do about that.     For about 2.5 months, I kept telling everybody I had this VPN but nobody cared about it. I've called Mediacom, Norton 360, and Amazon but nobody figured it out. Then Josh finally figured out that the problem was the VPN all this time. Nobody even tried to help me before. I love Josh. He was the only one that's been able to solve my issue. It took some time, but he got it all figured out. He was great. He stuck with it. But overall, Mediacom was not the problem. When I called in, they have been here usually the next day. I pay Mediacom $120 a month and I use about 20% of my internet, so the cost is way too high. But if I lower it, then I don't get the speed and I lose everything. So there needs to be another tier. Instead of going from the $39 plan to the $89 plan, there needs to be something in between.

    I have the internet and phone with Mediacom. But I'm not so happy with the phone. It acts weird. The biggest thing is the phone just loses the call. They're also supposed to switch the number to my phone, but they didn't do it yet. But the internet is okay. It went out a couple of times. Their price is a little high. But I'm not worrying about that because other places have the same speed but it's way more money. Their customer service has been very good.     Good news is the CSRs in the Dagsboro office are very nice, very helpful, a pleasure to work with. Getting set up and running was relatively painless. Bad news is it took several weeks to get on the schedule to install. The equipment needs regular rebooting from an online tech support person or it's faulty and needs replaced. On-site technicians are knowledgeable but don't go out of their way to help if you have other issues, questions. If the company didn't have a contract covering all houses in our development they'd likely lose customer to their competition.

    I have the internet with Mediacom and when it's working, it's working very well. But when it goes out, it goes out for a long time. I’m not here most of the times that the power goes out and it would be nice if Mediacom would notify me. They don’t send me anything at all. Four years ago, there was a fraud alert on my credit card and it was cancelled and replaced. I called Mediacom to give the new number and no one was interested in receiving it. Then they cut our wires to the condo for nonpayment for two months. I came back and I didn't know they've done that. Nobody alerted me. I went ballistic on that so they sent somebody out. It's a pre-wired condo and they had to rewire the whole thing. Mediacom’s industry does not have a great reputation for customer service.

    I got rid of my Dish satellite and started streaming. I decided to take the extra money that I was paying for the satellite service and put that into my internet. I looked at some of the streaming packages that the younger generation is doing, and when I upgraded, Mediacom upgraded me for the same price for a year. Based on an email, I just upgraded from a 300-meg service up to a one-gig service, and I didn't have to pay any extra at all. The rep found a couple of extra discounts and applied them, and I was very happy with that. She went above and beyond.

    Mediacom rebooted the modem over line, then they said that I should see it within half an hour or so. I've never gotten a one-gig service, but I've gotten 600 a couple of times. I've been with Mediacom for quite a while now. They're a good deal, but I'm not gonna say that I won't look at Google or somebody else if they pop in and offer their service.

    Cable was intermentte added amplifier and fixed. There is a problem apparently in our neighborhood with Mediacom. This problem recurs every 7 or 8 months. Put an amplifier on then take it off. Tech says Mediacom has plans to eventually resolve that issue for our neighborhood but no idea what year that might be. I give the tech 5 Stars!!
