After having crappy service for probably close to a year, we decided we had their service beyond what we cared to deal with. 5+ years. So they are making us pay another bill after I paid the final bill. They charged us for a box, actually 2 boxes and we received 1, and label to return their crap. I took pictures because this ain't my 1st rodeo. Mind you, I have 2 shipping accounts for my own needs so this a crock of bovine scatology. We have not had service with them for 6 weeks at least, and they still sent a bill for service. DO NOT USE DISH! They said we were loyal customers, so you over charge and keep charging us for whatever you see fit?? If we were bad customers what would you do? Never ever again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I was a loyal customer for 20 years plus. Did away with their service, was told they would send box for equipment within 30 days. It never came, called several times finally got box mailed everything back. Then I get a bill for 21 dollars and some change, called them back several times, no one could tell me what it was for. They turned it over to collections. Called collections to dispute the charge, he said it was probably for the box and label. I was never told about.

I have been with DISH for 20 years. Shocking right. I called to cancel service and the agent who I spoke with validated why me canceling was the right thing to do. This guy was beyond rude, disrespectful and very condescending. I don’t know why people who don’t want to do customer service choose that job.

Had to cancel my contract due to unexpected emergency move. The charges me $140. They also are charging me $25 for a box and label to return the equipment. Rwp was consistently talking over me or not listening to me. On top of that he said the return box might not get here before my move. This company was used by us years ago. It took over 10yrs for me to consider trying them again. Feel like I wouldn't use them again unless I had absolutely no choice and still probably wouldn't use them. One of the worse companies ever and they just love to come up with these fees out of the blue. Beware of DISH and don't use them. Many issues even when you aren't canceling!

I’d like to give negative stars but I can’t. Worst service ever. If you’re incredibly lucky you’ll get somebody that isn’t ESL and actually works in the United States but that’s rare. I’ve called 4 times tonight. Multiple times prior to tonight and their equipment doesn’t work. Ever since they insisted on upgrading my “Joey” there’s no sound half the time. 1/4 of the time the sound doesn’t match what’s on the TV and the remaining 1/4 you might be able to watch TV. You can’t turn it off without doing it 5-6 times in a row and the one girl in the Philippines laughingly said “that’s fine, that’s normal”. WTH? The US woman tonight said it wasn’t normal. Walked me through resetting the equipment and assured me it was good now but just call back if it wasn’t. 5 min later the sound went out again.

I called back and got somebody in some foreign country that wouldn’t accept my PIN that the automated system just accepted and refused to “verify” me any other way or give me a supervisor. I finally hung up. The second girl that answered and accepted the same PIN hung up when I asked for a supervisor. The 4th call to the Philippines the girl also accepted the same PIN- mind blowing, and then proceeded to tell me that it must be the volume on my TV that doesn’t work. Unbelievable. I said I wanted a tech out here to fix this and replace their crap box and she wanted me to commit to paying a tech fee LOL.

Bottom line, never get DISH. Run from DISH. Worst customer service and reception that you will ever get. Absolutely horrible company to deal with and they will hire the dumbest people they can find to answer the phone. If you have a pulse and zero IQ they will hire you. Doesn’t matter that these people have zero customer service skills and are incapable of fixing their janky equipment. Mind blowing. I want a refund.

The selection is wonderful. The ability to record and save is wonderful. But when you need service? The CS agents are mediocre on a good day. If you can get a service tech, that is a good thing. And I finally got one. But not until DISH ordered a Hopper for me to install myself (elderly and disabled, and I have the protection plan so service was covered). I tried to stop the shipping of the Hopper ($20 for UPS, which is a whole nother matter), which, when it is delivered, I will be responsible for returning, still stuck with the $20 even though I didn't need it. I don't like DirecTV but if you can find something other than DISH or DirecTV, go that way.

Do NOT get DISH. Worst customer service. Hours on phone regarding returning equipment. Dropped off at designated site in original box like they said and still they charge you and you will spend hours on the phone trying to resolve.

After more than 20 years as a loyal Dish customer, my final experience with the company was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to write this review. My contract had expired, and I simply wanted to cancel service. Instead of a smooth process, I was informed that I would be charged $25 per box to return Dish’s equipment. To make matters worse, I was told I needed to retrieve a lens from the dish mounted on the roof of my three-story home before returning the equipment.

I explained that I recently had knee replacement surgery and physically could not climb onto a three-story roof. The representative showed little concern and offered no reasonable alternative. The conversation quickly felt less like customer service and more like punishment for canceling. What I find most frustrating is that a company I supported for over two decades showed so little appreciation for that loyalty. Apparently, 20+ years of paying your bill on time earns you a fee, a dangerous rooftop assignment, and a dismissive attitude on your way out the door. I understand policies exist, but common sense and basic customer care should exist too. If this is how Dish treats customers after 20 years, I can only imagine how they treat newer ones. Needless to say, I won’t be recommending Dish to anyone.

I live next to a Dish customer. I continue to contact them about the line that is tied in a knot hanging over my driveway! They want me to pay to have someone come out and fix the line! How ridiculous is that? A tech TIES a Knot in the line and that is Ok. The service is horrible I when your technician does work that is below standards and the company wants you to pay to correct it Seriously worst customer service EVER. A Tied knot and they were too lazy to even cut the ends off! Take responsibility for your bad work!!!!!
