I would find another FSA service. I have used this service for about 1.5 years and every single time I upload a receipt, they deny it. It feels like they look for ways to avoid paying out. This leads to extra time wasted on hold and sending in additional information, doctor medical notes (which you have to go to doctor medical visits), and additional running around. They also do not pay for OTC at pharmacies. I would avoid the headaches and frustrations of working with them and just start your own savings account for health related issue. Horrible experience.

My employees need to know their vacation time as they're trying to use their vacation time. They rarely log into Paychex and can't find their old login information. Guess what. Not one of them can log in and the only message is "call IT support". Great. Where exactly do I find that number? That's right. There is no number. No one bothers to work on Saturday or Sunday at Paychex. Lovely.

I have used Paychex for almost 30 years. Over the last 13 years, one of my employees has been responsible for tabulating payroll and submitting to Paychex. With her departure, it has become painfully obvious that she was engaging in a payroll fraud scheme. She had selected employees on the clock for lunch and was paying overtime on an 8-80 basis. Several payrolls were submitted where there were fewer than 40 hrs in a 2 week payroll where a diligent person at Paychex should have alerted the business owner.
Also, the health insurance deductions for the person submitting payroll were extremely variable, resulting in an under deduction for that person's health insurance, once again without any attempt to alert the business owner. Paychex also allowed the employee to call in hourly rate raises without verification of the owner and without a written submission or confirmation. The total amount that I have been defrauded exceeds six figures, and could have been stopped early with any reasonable fraud safeguards in place. Paychex says they're not responsible. They also don't archive payroll records, so once they change a software platform, bye bye your data.

The Paychex salespeople talk a smooth game regarding the services being offered and how they potentially can save you money. This is the last time that anything will run smooth. Be prepared to constantly correct simple errors regarding someone's pay rate. Also, be prepared for at least 5000 in fees related to Paychex errors. When you call them, "Oh wait you didn't know about that." Finally, the Paychex health insurance rep messed up the enrollment health insurance plans for my employees so I had to provide a much more expensive health insurance plan and eat the costs.

Sold my business 2 1/2 months ago. Used Paychex for years. New owner stayed with Paychex as well as my employees opening a new 401k. What a nightmare. First instead of opening a new 401k they took my plan and put the new owner's name on it and erased my entire history going back 4 years. They mixed payroll deductions from both employers with different taxpayer IDs into the same fund and pretended this was fine. After a month of pointing out the huge mistake they figured out the illegality of the situation and agreed to unwind the errors. Nearly 2 months later they are still working on it. Money deducted from payroll is being taken from employees and not invested in either 401k and one employee with a small loan is getting letters saying his loan is in default while he is unable to make payments.
Paychex also took money from my business account to pay the 401k obligation of the new employer and has not returned the funds to me more than 2 months later. My CPA says he has several clients that have similar stories about incompetence at Paychex. I also had a situation in the past where Paychex paid a terminated employee by mistake and told ME that I was supposed to call him and ask for the money to be returned. He never did. It took Paychex 3 months to reimburse me and they did it over a period of weeks in small amounts. It seemed like a suspicious way of covering up a mistake. I can’t understand how a company responsible for such important responsibilities appears to be unable to manage money and it scares me!

I requested a rollover from an IRA to a 401k. The IRA rep told me the transfer was handed over to the 401k division over a month ago. My funds still have not appeared in my 401k. When I called to obtain status information, I had to wait for over 30 minutes on hold just to get to a Paychex rep only to be transferred to the incorrect department (this happened numerous times during a period of 4 hours). After 4 hours of trying I gave up. I have received repeated emails in the past 2 weeks stating that my transfer request has been received and that the transfer will take 15 business days. It’s been 30 days and I have no idea where my funds are. All the customer reps are rude and have demonstrated a lack of desire to help and are incompetent.
I received an email from the district sales manager asking me to call to discuss but he hasn’t returned my emails or phone calls. How can a company who has a fiduciary duty to its customers hold my investment monies hostage in limbo land without providing any explanation. Daniel from the 401k customer service department is useless. The multiple Paychex service agents who answered the phone and transferred me to dead telephone lines or the wrong department are useless. David ** is useless. Jacob ** is useless. This company does not care about its service. The person at Paychex responding to these complaint at the client relations link are also useless. There appears to be no recourse if you have a concern about your investments. Paychex simply does not care.

I called twice, I was on hold over a half hour each time. The customer service reps, Wendy and Justin, were rude and smug. Whatever you do, never do business with Paychex!

I didn't have too big of an issue with Paychex when I started with them. We were a small company, working on contracts, so they provided the ability for us to do paychecks on demand. This was a good arrangement. Then the churn on the customer agents began, and after a period of time I had no clue who my representative was. The first one was excellent, and took good care of us. Eventually, I was being called to "file" for paychecks, even though I had explained many times the nature of our business, which was hit or miss, and we paid as we needed to. This did not stop monthly calls to run payroll, with threats that we would be charged monthly. This was the original agreement. Many times did I have this conversation.
It got worse, the service we had ordered was not fulfilled, as our quarterly filings had not been done, which was a big reason for our choice to go with Paychex. After manually filing these, I requested a refund, which after a long and painful battle was granted. During this time their sales department continually kept calling for me to buy extra services, which I wouldn't do because I was cancelling. I told them this multiple times, but the calls did not stop. I sent written requests for them to stop contacting me. They began contacting again. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. I hope it will get these guys to stop. So, if you want to be threatened to run payroll, treated poorly, and then harassed to buy services from a very incompetent company, I recommend you go with these guys. They are horrible.

A while ago Paychex acquired the PEO firm we'd been using for years, Oasis. We've provided two health care options for our employees through Oasis that whole time, two recognized established brands in Colorado. Now, Paychex is terminating our ability to get the health insurance of our choice through them, and saying if we don't sign up for the ONLY option they are giving us, my employees will lose their health insurance. The only conceivable reason for them to do this, is to be able to skim more profit off our health insurance premiums. This is scummy, dishonest, and intolerable.

I have been with Paychex for a number of years with multiple services. Other than being expensive, they were fine for many years. I have finally decided, due to recent mistakes (past 12 months), that I needed to move everything out of Paychex. Payroll was frequently incorrect (hours, rates, deductions, employee numbers, class codes etc.) and the corrections were often an even bigger mess (some mistakes couldn't be fixed), specialist changed multiple times and they are not all equally incompetent. The workers comp insurance was supposed to be pay-as-you-go but I would get a huge bill at the time of audit because they only collected one portion of the premium by mistake. 401k department is useless. You don't get to talk to the same person twice and they have no clue what they are doing.
Now that I am trying to change providers, they claim that they didn't receive the necessary paperwork any of the three times I sent it (twice each to a different email address and once by fax). The longer they have the money, the more they can collect from me in fees. In fact, they deduct money from my checking account and don't tell me that they are doing it until after it has been done. The notice was mailed two days after they took the money and was not for a charge that I was aware even existed. There is no upside to going with Paychex. The weekly administrative fee is in excess of $500 and I get nothing but payroll, a monthly newsletter and a lot of headaches.
I have been told by so many people within Paychex that they are sorry for the problems I have encountered and promise resolution yet nothing gets better. Apparently there is one thing that they are able to thoroughly teach all of their employees how to do during training... Don't believe them, it never gets better. They just string you along until you can't take any more and when you finally reach your breaking point they remind you that you have a 30-day cancellation notice requirement in your contract (that you never got a signed copy of).

I own a small boutique. I’m the owner & I work there. I employed 1 employee upon opening the end of 2018. I began using Paychex Jan 2019. In Feb 2018 they had already switched my payroll specialist (which was a bit alarming because they didn’t notify me). On Feb 8th, 2019, the new Specialist forgot to run my payroll. Paychex agreed to put a “rush” on getting my employee paid by end of banking hours or by Saturday morning, and waive fees. They never kept their agreement. She did get paid but, ultimately, I was charged for their incompetence. It’s worth mentioning, I was boarding a plane while frantically trying to get my employee paid and prevent her from quitting.
In April, that same employee did not work her full schedule. However, the payroll specialist got his “work done early” therefore sending my payroll in early (I guess he had plans more important than doing his job) so he refused to correct the employees' hours, and told me it would be my expense if I wanted it corrected. I was blatantly bullied. I had everything in writing and requested his behavior be investigated and my money be returned. - Paychex did nothing to accommodate me nor reprimand their employee.
On May 28, 2019, it was my employees last day as well as, another close of a payroll period (check date would be May 31st). My employee quit via text May 29th, 2019. I immediately notified 3 (three) Paychex employees (IN WRITING). On May 17th, 2019 it came to my attention that Paychex had committed larceny, not only falsely paying themselves for 2 (two) months for services not rendered but, they paid the Ex-Employee. I have requested, several times, detailed statements from Paychex for the ongoing police investigation and they have not been cooperative.
Additionally, I am a mother of a 2 year old, pregnant with identical twins (high risk pregnancy), and I received paperwork from my physician today that the stress from this ongoing case is unsafe for my pregnancy (medical documentation). The company has been provided the case number from the police report and Officers name, and they are still not cooperative.
In addition, they have even been so insulting as to suggest they’ll reverse one (1) check they paid the Ex-Employee but keep the money they paid themselves. However, remember, their service was not rendered as I had zero employees, and Paychex is to offer a lower rate for simply being “available as a payroll service should your company resume using them”. Upon any request during the time frame without employees, they failed to provide me with the services I asked for ie. I specifically requested on June 12th, 2019 a detailed statement showing what they are charging me for as I had zero employees. In closing, this company will be charged with grand larceny (state of MA). Hopefully this helps even one person avoid being robbed!

Updated on 09/23/2019: Well paychex has been, is and most probably always going to be negligent, dishonest, ethically empty, morally spent and all in all lacking in their fiduciary duty. Reps are combative and incompetent and capable of only answering questions via script. They make me wait weeks for distributions and have few if any valid reasons for the delays that occur every month. When responding to these reviews they shine you on with unavailable phone numbers and reps that don't return calls or outright lie.
Original Review: Well it's the 15th of the month and still no monthly dist. Almost every month I have to call looking for my check. They seem unable or unwilling to send dist. in a timely way. (My other accts. get my money to me in 2-3 days paychex cannot do it in 2 weeks?) They are supposed to get you the check in 10 b. days but hardly ever occurs. Cust. service is of little help and have little knowledge of their own procedures. I have contacted CEO Martin Mucci, CFO Efrain Rivera, VP Sales Mark Buttini, VP Product development Michael Gioja, VP Services John Gibson to no avail. I still have to call almost every week and still no check.

We have a small company and have used Paychex for over 4 years now. We also have a 401K and Workers Comp plans with Paychex. My complaint is only with Payroll. As others have said in their reviews, the agents doing our payroll, though nice, at times, are hard to get hold of and do not communicate well, and at times do provide information on time. The requests for payroll reports are either not sent or I have to call to remind the agent that I need to approve them since I've had instances where our payroll was way off and funds had to be reinstated. I've recently refused to work with an agent who was inattentive and neglected to tell me he was away and was rude.
When I got a new agent, though nice, he assured me he would be "on point" with my bi-weekly requests going forward—the first time I submitted payroll he never sent me a report and forgot about me until I had to call and ask for the reports. Upper management is right on the ball and they will do their best to rectify any situation. That is a plus. Overall Paychex employees are personable but I'm seriously thinking of going to ADP or other company. Cash flow/Payroll are important functions of a small company and one that we take seriously.

I work for a small independently owned franchise (9 total employees) in the office processing paperwork and invoices. We signed up for Paychex with promises that they would not only pay the employees correctly & on time, they would also take care of the tax forms, job cost with invoice #'s, and track job hours (all things I was doing myself via Quickbooks and multiple excel sheets). The signing up process was messy and very unprofessional. The first week of payroll they shorted every employee hours (so instead of being paid for 30 hours, they were paid for 3).
The second week they "forgot" to process the payment to go out on the correct day (which wouldn't be that big of a deal if we weren't a Union contractor). The third week, they processed 2 payments for each employee - the one from the week before that they didn't process on the correct day, and the payment that was correct for the week. So each employee got 2 separate paychecks. My boss took care of the first 2 issues, but the third week issue I took care of. When I called to have it fixed, all of my "reps" were either out of town or not available. I was only able to get a hold of someone via email.
They informed me that they would go in and retract that payment from each employee that wasn't correct but that if the funds weren't available from the employee that it would be taken out of the business owner's personal account. They cannot pay employees correctly or on time. After we signed up we were informed that they CANNOT track hours or job cost using invoice #'s (which is the whole reason we switched). There are constant payments coming out of the account that I never received any invoices for & as far as I know, no tax forms have been filed. We are leaving Paychex. I have already signed up for another company but have not canceled with Paychex (due to them not answering any of my calls or emails over the last 2 weeks). I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this crappy company.

So I called and they told me that this would be taken out of the invoice, but in the next invoice the value simply doubled and from that I decided to cancel and then the bigger problem started, since I even had to block that company in my bank account, always trying to withdraw the money after the cancellation request without my authorization and when they call me now they are still threatening me and say they accept agreement for the payment of this absurd and undue payment.

I wouldn't know where to begin. And I don't have time to go through the nightmare saga that I've been through. Signed up with Paychex. I didn't want to deal with taxes and payments, etc. Immediately sales calls. No problem. I'm all for buying what is helpful as a business owner. I transferred my WCI to Paychex. This saleswoman straight lies and lies and lies. She personally cost me thousands in early termination because she neglected to tell me my WCI policy would be restarted. All I did was sign them as broker of record. Interestingly, my payroll estimates were changed by over 50k annually (I have 6 employees at $15 hourly). That's a huge increase and the WCI company will charge you based on what they didn't bill due to early cancellation.
I cancelled because I found a rate for less than half of what I was paying. Of course my sales rep said they researched the lowest rate for me. Total liar. I reminded her that I signed them as broker of record so why would she research rates? How did my annual payroll change? Nobody admits anything or apologizes.
There is one person there that has been really helpful. My HR person. Although, I'm unhappy with the HR services. For a small business, esp one who doesn't have time to do certain things, HR services was pitched and sounded great. I would also receive a rep for anything safety related. They make it sound as if they'll take these things off your plate, but really, they're just there if you think of something to ask. If I knew all of the laws, I wouldn't need HR services. Yet I'm supposed to know what I don't know? They say things like, "we'll help you get all of your files in order." By help it's, "are your files in order?"
Safety they made sound as if someone who is former OSHA would be checking on me and finding any red flags. That is awfully hard to do over the phone and out of state. Some of my payroll specialists have been fine. Others not so much. I have had errors with the website where something was submitted but disappeared. I am too tired to relive the nightmare that is Paychex. I've never been more angry at a company. They are a bunch of greedy misers and I don't care what it costs me, I am done with them. Right now I'm trying to cancel everything. But they make it nearly impossible to do so.
Oh here's a good one... I had gotten a letter from the state saying I had an outstanding balance of less than $100. I had asked Paychex a couple times about it. They finally tell me that it was during a time I wasn't with them. Fair enough, but when I signed up, I asked them to pay all of my outstanding invoices and they did. Except for this one. It ended up putting a lien on my business and after a week of "research." Paychex came back to say, "we cannot pay this for you since we don't have your power of attorney during this time." I cannot believe how poorly I've been treated by this company. I never review anything. I'm really considering going to my attorney and seeing if I can sue for damages. My story goes on and on and on, but even as I write this jumbled mess, I am getting a headache just thinking about Paychex so i'll stop.
Hi Robert, I am disappointed to hear about your experience. I would like the opportunity to have someone look into this for you. Please provide your contact information through private message and I will have someone reach out to you directly. Thank you.

Updated on 02/16/2020: This company is absolutely horrible at fixing mistakes and resolving customer issues. I posted on here several months ago and they said they were "looking into" and did not do anything. We used them for a short period- about 6 months and the resulting issues were completely unacceptable:
1. Failed to properly do payroll reporting, resulting in penalties from our state.
2. Once notified failed of their mistake they failed to promptly remedy. First they reimbursed us for a few hundred dollars of the penalties (admitting they were in the wrong, giving us some hope) but they failed to follow through and correct them all. Then they stopped being responsive and the state put a tax lien on our account while we were waiting for them to correct the issues. We even had a contract with the state PULLED from us and awarded to the next bidder due to our account not being in good standing. We ultimately also had to pay $3000 or so out of pocket to cover the penalties.
3. We had 1 employee quit due to the tax related issues caused by Paychex and lack of communication.
4. After we stopped using them they CONTINUED TO CHARGE US FOR OVER A YEAR ON AN AUTODEBIT.
Do not believe them when they say they are "looking into" and "resolving" things on here. That is just for show. Every time someone is helpful they pass it to someone else and no one takes responsibility and follows up on delivering the services they are to provide.
Original Review: I switched my business (about 25 employees) over to Paychex in 2018. They pushed their services hard and it was a better deal than my previous payroll service. The transition was poorly handled after we signed up. I noticed our state fillings were being done- we reached out and it took months for them to correct this. We sent almost 40 emails to them to simply do their job and get everything fixed and it still wasn't done.
Their mistakes cost thousands of dollars of penalties and interest. They paid some of the penalties and interest but never fully squared up my account. The situation compounded when we were awarded a state contract and our account was flagged for payroll tax issues. I kept trying to reach out to Paychex and was assured they would square up the interest and penalties. Finally, tired of waiting I went ahead and paid the State so I could get the contract finalized. Then the State told me it was too late and they awarded the contract to someone else. Meanwhile, Paychex never reimbursed me. Not sure if they even finalized all the returns for my employees for last year. Never thought they could create so much damage. I would have paid 10 times more to not deal with this hassle, unprofessionalism and ineptitude. I have no idea how they can provide a payroll service and not follow up with customers and resolve issues in a timely manner.

After numerous phone calls and unexpected sales visits from their sales rep. "Robert", I finally agreed to switch over to Paychex from ADP, due to the large amount of savings they were offering. Biggest mistake of my life. I have a small insurance agency and they promised free W2's and 1/2 the cost of what I was paying with ADP. The implementation process was horrible when we switched over. They didn't have any of my employee information entered, and after spending over 2 hours on the phone with the assigned payroll specialist, my first "direct deposit" payroll was done wrong. My staff didn't receive their paychecks deposits in their account, so I had to process a manual check cut for them.
After doing 3 payrolls with them, things still was not smooth so I decided to go back to ADP. Very dependable and reliable company, whose customer service is bar none in comparison to PayChex. I contacted PayChex to cancel and was immediately flooded with emails from them. I told them why and proceed to cancel my service. It's been two months and they've yet to cancel my account with them and continues to take money out of my account for payroll services they are not performing. I've called a ridiculous amount of times and emailed to keep it in writing.
They ALWAYS promises to fix it and refund me, but I've yet to see it. They are holding the money they've taken for taxes ransom and have not refunded it back and will not cancel my account so they can continue to take money out of my bank account. I've been forced to close my business account and open a new one so they don't have access to continue to pull my money out. What they are doing has to be illegal and I'm contacting my Attorney to see if I can start a class action lawsuit against them. Their business practice is far from ethical and something has to be done!

Don't trust this company with bank account. I had to cancel my account due to not having any more employees, although I only had one. I had planned on continuing with Paychex when I hired another employee until they pulled money out of my account without telling me. They claimed it was in my contract which I know it wasn't explained to me then because with one employee it would not have been cost effect. My reason for changing was cost for one employee and they never told me about this charge because it would make no sense for me to switch from Quickbooks.
After I canceled, 3 weeks later I notice a withdraw of funds from my bank account (approx 280.00) from Paychex. When I called I explained I had canceled and why was I charged? They said "It is the charge to run your W-2s for 2109???" What? It's March? And where did this charge come from? He gladly returned the money to me and just kept saying they will just charge me in December 2019. Still? I don't get where they can just "TAKE" the money out of your account? Secondly, this charge was never brought up when I signed for the account. Like I said, I would have never switched to them for one employee. Paychex is actually more per month (with their newly added W-2 charge) than Quickbooks. They HAVE HIDDEN FEES, watch them and don't even bother with a company that feels free to make charges and just take them out of your bank account. If you have them "CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT" for made up charges.

So, after speaking with a friend who just retired from working in payroll for the last 30 years as well as two people in Human Resources and another that is a bookkeeper for the past 25 years, I explained the situation of the issues with my payroll. Hearing "sometimes we don't take out the taxes so you have more money in your check", raised a red flag. The woman at the payroll company is making decisions on my behalf as to when she feels I should or should not have taxes taken out of my check. Sometimes, federal gets taken out and sometimes it does not. Sometimes, state gets taken out and other times, no. Sometimes, she takes out local... and you get the idea. My expenses, my money, my life is none of this woman's concern.
This is a part-time job for me and this issue has completely screwed up my taxes for this year and I will not go through another year like this. This year has already been screwed up enough by her and her gross incompetence at her job. I shouldn't have to say this, but I want the correct amount taken out of my check that is supposed to be taken out for FEDERAL, STATE and LOCAL taxes. I DO NOT give this woman (or her company) to take out less than I am demanding be taken out to cover my taxes because she (or any other entity) decides they know what is best for me and my life. Why should I even have to say that!?!?!
This is causing so much stress for myself and other employees at our company who have varying degrees of payment through the year. For the people that have the same pay each week, they see no difference, but because I work part-time and my hours change, this woman decided that SHE KNOWS BEST and has taken it upon herself to decide when I pay and what I pay and to whom I pay each pay period. That is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I have NEVER, in my 30 years of working, NEVER dealt with anything like this before and this issue has tainted my working at the company I am working at presently.

I am never enrolling in Paychex FSA ever again. I decided to enroll in the FSA to save some money for a LASIK procedure, so I planned for it to occur this year. I maxed out during the enrollment period, got the debit card at the start of the year, then used it to pay for a portion of the procedure. Of course, uploading receipts should be required, but my claim got denied TWICE. I submitted the bill that the office gave me with my name+information, date of procedure, how much it costed, all clearly included with the name and location of the office (very obviously indicating what procedure was performed).
Then I received an email from Paychex saying it was insufficient documentation. Okay, so I go back to the office and tell them, so they gave me another version of the bill with pretty much the same information as the previous. They thought it was strange that the first bill they gave me did not work when it usually works for other patients' FSAs. I uploaded the receipt, then got denied AGAIN! This is ridiculous! I checked online and found out I wasn't the only one and that I wasn't crazy. I think Paychex is just trying to deny every claim out there so people give up and they just get to keep all the money in the end. Never enrolling in Paychex's FSA EVER AGAIN. It's a scam.

Terrible experience with the FSA flex spending account. I’d give zero if possible. I know some claims would probably be denied because I wasn’t sure, but they denied even the clearest doctor items in part, and I’m out 4 figures of my own money because of them. Thieves. It’s not worth the pre tax deduction between the time spent trying to get the money back and the money they refuse to reimburse.
They were claiming the receipts didn’t have all the required info, and I went running around to get the info, and the poor support staff at the Dr office were trying to help me. They told me they hadn’t had problems with that form before and pointed out it clearly already had the information, so (for instance) I resubmitted that same receipt from one office, and they reimbursed part of it again, but not the whole thing that should have been reimbursable. It doesn’t make any sense.
I’ll never use this “benefit” again. They made me jump through hoops to get back the money they deducted from my paycheck and still never reimbursed everything I should have gotten reimbursed. I’ll never choose to put away even the smallest amount into the FSA again because even the clearest reimbursable ones were a fight to get reimbursed, and only partially reimbursed at that.

I’m still waiting on a refund of the tax withholding a the collected so I can file my taxes as they can’t seem to figure anything out. Stay far away. The sales process with Paychex was great, I was excited about the HR onboarding and how beneficial it will be for the company. The 2 sales rep came in and did their pitch but I wasn't interested in the payroll but thought the HR portion would be phenomenal. The guy advised how it was working for his father's company (who knows, might be a pitch) but overall I was excited.
He was on me to sign on which I did towards the end of January 2019 and follow by sending him a voided check for the monthly payment. February 14th, Paychex debited my account for over $1200. Mind you I'm waiting for services to start. I had a conference call with an HR specialist, who came over and I advised how excited I was to get on board. Well, let's say it's been a nightmare.
An absolute joke of a company, I was excited about the product and another business owner indicated how she wanted Paychex to help with her handbook and it was an horrible experience. Please do not, I REPEAT do not go with this company without reading other people's experiences. My biggest mistake. All I need is for the company to refund my money, the sloppy experience as well as a total waste of my time wasn't worth $1200... If there was -0 negative Paychex deserves it.

Paychex Payroll: We switched Payroll and HR providers from ADP to Paychex; in hindsight, we should have stayed with ADP. The implementation process was far from efficient, our account representatives would ask us for something signed, we would provide it, only to have another representative say that Paychex never received the said item. Nothing was transferred or entered properly. We had employees' W4s, which were correct when we had ADP, magically turn into nothing. Paychex was configuring taxes at 0 instead of whatever the amount our employees had originally chosen. Some employees no longer had W4s in the Paychex system entirely.
The Fund Availability that Paychex asks you for, to run payroll, is not the amount you actually need. We bounced two payroll checks because Paychex gave us the wrong amounts. Then proceeded to tell us it was our fault, even though we have documentation to prove it had nothing to do with us. They then proceeded to make life more difficult by forcing us to wire the money prior to any funds being deposited into our employee's accounts. The CEO of my company and myself (CIO) contacted multiple people on the Paychex staff to talk to a supervisor about our situation, we never received a single callback for a resolution. January 2019: our employees are awaiting their W2s, our employees began to call Paychex and us for information on their W2s. Paychex tells us and them that they are not sending out the W2s. About 2 weeks later the W2s started trickling in.
Paychex HR: Though we were having nothing but headaches in dealing with Paychex, we were interested in benefits and the HR package. A sales rep came to our location and sold us on that if we were to do this we would actually save a bit of money because all the fees we had already paid for implementation would be refunded to us (remember this for later in the review). We would be set up with Onboarding, Digital applications that potential employees could fill out from their phone, or tablet, Facebook, etc., and their HR suite. Included in this package would be a rep who would come to us go through our handbook and make sure everything was valid and legal, then all of our HR issues would be handled by the app (write-ups, distribution of handbooks, etc.).
Promised Refund. They gave us a refund of $180 even though we spent around $8000 in various fees associated with implementation. When we tried to get the money we were promised, we could not seem to get a hold of anyone. We spent a month trying to get a hold of anyone who could help us. Nobody ever did, and the sales rep refused to answer our calls and emails.
Benefits. We were set up to receive medical, dental, and vision via Paychex. This worked for the majority of our employees who wished to have insurance; however, we started getting reports that employees who had not signed up for insurance were being charged biweekly for an imaginary plan, and every one of them was paying the same amounts. This took almost a month to fix and Paychex was absolutely no help. They even got the name of our company incorrect when they sent our information to the Insurance Provider.
HR Representative. We were told our HR representative would be in contact to schedule a time to come review our account, that never happened. We continued to make calls to try and find out information on our rep, nobody knew anything. Finally, 2 months later we were able to get in contact with our rep, only to have her be basically useless and provided no service to us, other than another person to call and not get anything accomplished. No visit ever happened.
Fees. Paychex set an installment amount for the HR services implementation of 3 payments. That last payment was invoiced to us 3 times, but yet the fee kept coming back again. When questioned about it, Paychex had no answer as to why we kept receiving the fee. HR Services Package, we never got to use it as they never enabled the suite on our account. Supposedly, on the Paychex Flex website, admins would have access to the HR and On-boarding sections. We requested access from our HR rep, who gave us access after 1 month of asking about it. At that point, we had already decided to end our relationship with Paychex.
Life after Paychex. We have yet to see any refund of the money promised and now we receive harassing and rude phone calls and emails from them. But still, life is much better than it was with Paychex. Final Opinion: Even with 10,000 employees, it would be less of a headache to manually process payroll through Quickbooks, vs using Paychex, or any of their services. If you do decide to use Paychex, make sure that any agreements made with them are in writing. Lesson Learned.

I have no experience with any other payroll company. 2 Paychex reps in the last 5 years and they have been outstanding! Kudos to Steve and Iva. There have been some mistakes along the way but they have always been responsive to my every question, worked until mistakes are corrected, and researched if they don't know the answer. Through my own mistakes, I have learned to trust the process, system, and my team. If my rep is out, anyone I have ever connected with has been friendly, polite, and helpful. I have been nice to them and they have been nice to me. The original product has some system limitations that require work-a-rounds, can't produce all reports in excel, cross years, or go outside of Dept #s or EE ID's, add extra shifts or special work weeks.
But they have created a new platform, Paychex Flex, that seems to be addressing all of these issues. Looking forward to making that switch. We have Human Resources Online, Time and Labor, and Payroll with Paychex. We pay them a fair amount of money, but, they take care of many, many, many details that I don't need to look after...loading PTO, raises, all of our payroll deductions, sending garnishments, company taxes, W2s, 1094 and 1095 filings with the IRS, etc., without fuss or fanfare. After reading the other reviews, I appreciate my team even more!

When I was the HR Manager for my last company, we had numerous problems with Paychex losing or not properly processing insurance enrollment forms. Now that I am on COBRA, they have affected me personally by losing my completed COBRA carrier form. I completed and mailed the form in, and even called twice to confirm that they had received my form. Then, they changed the story a few weeks later and claimed they never received it, even going so far as to insist that I mailed in a blank form, which is completely absurd since I only had one form and distinctly recall filling out all the information on it before mailing it in.
However, the customer service representative and his supervisor both refused to accept that someone at Paychex made a mistake, and they belligerently argued that I never mailed it to them, despite prior confirmation from Paychex that I did. Paychex COBRA is incompetent and has horrible customer service to boot. I can't wait to get on new insurance so I can stop dealing with them. Since I am a Human Resources Manager by profession, I will never recommend any company that I work for to use them as a benefits broker.

Updated on 10/23/2019: This is my second review of Paychex. Our company has only continued with their service, because we fear that the tax issues that have arisen, due to paychex' failure to pay them properly will fall on our lap. This would include the fees that have been receiving for failed payment or failure to file. Since we have been with the company Dec 2017. We have had nothing but headaches. We have been through now 4 payroll specialists. We have only 1 W-2 employee and 1 1099 employee. That means they ONLY have to pay the state and federal taxes for 1 of our employees. However, they have continue to fail at doing it.
We have had a lien on our bank account (thankfully it was removed), and continue to receive letters from the state stating that certain Qtrs were not paid for. It baffles me that a company as well known for their payroll services for large businesses cannot handle a small business with 1 W-2 employee. When trying to resolve the issue. All we receive is "it is being sent over to the research team". However, we continue to get the letters in the mail stating the issue has not been resolved.
Another not, whenever we send the notices to our specialist or even their manager. We receive the "I am out of office until". It is like their employees never actually work. I cannot image how they are still in business with all the horrible reviews and worthless service. I surely hope that more people see this and decide to go with a different company.
Original Review: My wife and I own a DVOSB that deals in Government contracting, mainly IT focused. We have had Paychex for roughly 14 months. Through those 14 months we have had nothing but headaches, due to their payroll service. It took several months before they started pulling payroll taxes. Once they did they weren't even paying them. We consistently received unpaid tax letters from two states, which they stated they would handle. However, it was not. It got to a point that a lien was put on my wife's bank account for unpaid taxes to VA.
Our Payroll specialist never responds in a timely manner. The managers and supervisors appear to always be on vacation. We are on our 2nd payroll specialist, soon to be our third, since it was found that they were pulling unemployment taxes out for the wrong state. We only have 2 employees, previously 3. out of those three one of them is 1099, which does not need payroll taxes pulled from. So, only 2, now 1 of our employees is W-2. I couldn't even imagine how screwed up our accounts would be if we had more employees. I refuse to suggest this company to any of my other military buddies that are planning to start a business. My question is, How are they still in business. I feel like they do not do anything right. Soon to be a former patron of Paychex.

If I could give them minus stars, I would. The sales reps made lots of promises, advising me to move away from my previous software company (Gusto) to them. At first it sounded great, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. With 150 employees, the transition, that Paychex stated they would take care of, was a complete mess. Processing payroll was time consuming.
Trying to get assistance was harder than pulling teeth. When I closed the company and was no longer a customer, trying to obtain the W-2 statements and 1099 statements was even more difficult. I had to ask for them multiple times, often having my emails being ignored (Caity ** was my account rep, who was abhorrent). After getting her supervisor and my attorney involved, I managed to obtain the tax statements that is legally required, but after the IRS deadline to send these to my employees. When I opened my new company I went back to Gusto. A very easy software system to use with fabulous support, and no broken promises. Just stay away from Paychex. It is a nightmare for any small business owner!

I've used them for several years for my small business. I always did notice the turnover in staff was incredibly high, sometimes seemed like every few months a new rep. What is going on there? Are they paying too little, mistreating them? What is it? Because absolutely this reflects some other larger problems in the company. Each rep is always courteous and prompt in replying, and my case is very simple. We have some insurance they withhold for us, but no 401k plans, so it's just straight salary information. My last couple reps made some major mistakes (omitted employees' entirely from a reporting period for example), but I thought it was a one off.
Now I find out there were major errors on withholding for all of 2018 for every employee, that make no sense and don't jibe with the IRS minimums. Since our paystubs are digital only, some employees don't check, and they are hit with a shocker at tax time. No answers. They advertise they guarantee accuracy and will back it up so I am hoping there is some recourse for us. Many of us unhappy clients stay just to avoid the hassle and paperwork of a change of payroll company, but I think I am ready to jump.

I have recently taken on the administration of Payroll and our 401k account which is run through Paychex. If there was an option for zero stars I would give zero. I don't think I have ever had a more horrendous customer service experience than I have had dealing with this company. They want you to give them information but when you the steps you need to take to get said information to them they give you the wrong answer. You then spend hours of your time on the phone with various people in "customer service". All of who tell you different things. The payroll specialists are a joke and don't give you any helpful information or make sure you are properly in compliance. They have people reaching out to the wrong people because you don't have one dedicated account manager to manage all pieces. Seriously, you could probably do your own payroll and 401k administration better than this company could.

I called to get my promised free Labor law posters only to find out that when I signed up for the "additional" service it changed my original contract. How nice right? I was using Paychex for years, at first it was fine. Went through specialists like I was drinking water but it didn't bother me as my payroll was simple, until my last specialist!! I hired a new employee, he was working out so I decided to give him a raise after 6 months. I call my payroll in and let them know about the pay increase, when receiving his first higher rate paycheck my employee asks me if he is making more money an hour why is his pay less?? Good question right?
I call my specialist, I ask the same question?? She is looking at her computer, "Let me get back to you" she says. Next day I get a call, this is what she tells me, you ready... She set up my employees' account to only deduct social security every paycheck for the first six months, no deductions for State or Federal taxes in every paycheck for six months???? Was I supposed to babysit the specialist on doing her job???? Needless to say I paid the back taxes for my employee.
Fast forward two years later, I get a solicit email from a Andrew ** from Paychex. Name your own price for fees?? I respond nice and simple, "Paycheck sucks" and hit send. I get a response back to my surprise from Andrew "Sooooo see you next Tuesday @ 3?" This is the kind of people you want to help you with your business?? I don't think so.

I advised them multiple time that I was closing the company and to tick the appropriate box on the Federal return and fill in the date on the RT-6 to advise the IRS and State of Florida I was closing the company and this was a final return. I guess I should be half happy they got the IRS form right but they totally botched the RT-6. Not only did they not supply the information that this was a final return, today I get a notice from the Florida Department of Revenue that the RT-6 was incomplete. They are expensive and inept. I don't need 5 different people trying to walk me thru how to enter hours into an app. Seriously, I had no issues over 2.5 years and never had to talk to anyone to get my account setup and running with Intuit. Then, after wasting hours with them, they fail to file the first payroll! Then, the next payroll, they take out funds for checks that I WRITE! WTF?! I indicated I am writing the checks - not them. I've been with Paychex for over a year. The sales process to acquire my business was phenomenal. Every rep was better than the next. Things were moving along smoothly until I ran into a problem and couldn't afford to continue the HR services. I come from a service background and have a passion for quality customer service. Once I discontinued HR solutions, I continued with a new client rep. He was WONDERFUL! A few months later I received an email that I was getting a new rep which I knew wasn't good. Alex was OUTSTANDING! He new the business very well and as unpredictable as my business is, he made me feel like my need for assistance was no big deal, seamless. I always finished the interaction feeling valued.
My new rep is the exact opposite. Not only does she not understand my business but she doesn't appear to know hers either. I'm ok to work with someone that's learning as long as they are willing to be honest and get help on things they don't know. I had to have two payrolls backdated, I explained that I had given one employee a cash advance to help him pay his rent. She told me I had to backdate the payroll to the date I gave the cash advance, I was told that was not true and it cost me a significant amount of money. I had to follow up on the payroll because it sat in a pending status which was blamed on a supervisor. That was one of the payrolls that needed to be backdated the second one just didn't appear.
I called and left messages, sent emails, contacted customer service, explained the situation and was promised the reps manager would be notified and would contact me. I waited two days and no one contacted me. I sent an email to my previous rep and asked for assistance in speaking with a manager, no response. I am now feeling very uncomfortable, I've trusted this company with my payroll and tax reporting and I can't get anyone to help me. Finally I called customer service and started all over explaining my issues. She wanted to send me to my rep but I insisted she not and ask to work with her. She did all that she could to make me whole including speaking with two supervisors to help with a tax reporting issue that I was given different answers of what I was responsible to do.
I'm still waiting for this to be settled and pray it doesn't cost me any more money in penalties. I decided to take a look at the reviews only to find I made a HUGE mistake when I decided to go with this company. The customer service experience is constantly weighed. If a company is truly committed to a quality customer experience it is experienced at every encounter because it's the philosophy of the organization. Paychex clearly crashed and burned on this devalued customer! Customer Service training is clearly needed for all...

I have been using the pay checks PEO system for two years. It is a nightmare. My 401(k) profit-sharing is a disaster, I’m not in compliance, and I’ve lost my ability to put away from my retirement. My personal financial advisor says he has never seen such gross incompetence in his 15 years of working with PEO 401(k) profit-sharing plans. In 2018 I am on a 50-50 split with my employees for medical health benefits. They took at 75% I paid and 25% the employees paid. It’s been two weeks and they have been unable to figure out why they are charging me more than I am supposed to and less for the employees.
To add insult to injury, it is the head of the company and the bookkeeper that has found all these egregious errors. If you don’t think the above is bad enough, two weeks ago they paid my employees four times their normal payroll and wiped out my operating bank account. It is taking over two weeks to rectify. They will take no responsibility for any of their actions. You can’t get anyone to give you a straight answer and I can’t even report my profit-sharing for 2018 because I’ve gotten three sets of numbers so far and none of them appear to be correct.
At this point, all they do is delay and delay in conversations about each one of these issues. My staff has caught all of the errors, they have absolutely no oversight and no safeguards in place for any of the above actions listed. Ignore all of their apologies that they give after each one star review, they are meaningless. My hope by posting this is that they finally get back to me with answers. My patience is wearing thin. They have cost me well over $25,000 in losses due to their negligence.

Fees fluctuate wildly for no explainable reason. Payroll errors repeated again and again, despite giving them detailed instructions, reminding them of past errors, and begging them not to make the same mistakes again.
So I close my account - all they have left to do is send me my paperwork. Can't screw that up, right? Wrong. They sent all my tax information to an Address "A" which I haven't lived at over a year (despite me telling them several times I had moved). When I told them of the error, they sent it to Address "B" - an even older address I haven't lived at in more than three years! When I correct them again, they ask me for proof of my current address, which I provide. Then nothing. When I later ask for an update, the same person seems to have no idea what I'm talking about, and tell me "There's no problem - we show it was delivered to Address A! Thanks!" Completely clueless.

When I hire a new employee, it takes a while for me to learn their strengths and weaknesses. I am willing to look past or put up with some weaknesses as long as their strengths fit our needs. So it goes with software. There are things that I hate about the software. But, despite that, it works for me. The learning curve for me is likely longer than it is for others. The software requires that I do things twice in different places which confuses me. But I can pick up the phone and call someone and get an answer to my confusion at just about any time. They don't ridicule me for my lack of understanding. They help me to understand the software.
The key for me is that I've often thought the problem was from the company only to find that it is because I don't understand or misunderstand the software. The support team has helped to keep me from making large mistakes because of that. I understand that other users might blame the company for the poor software. I refuse to do that. I need to learn the software with its strengths and flaws and it works for me. I appreciate that it is available to me.

After 2 weeks of back and forth it turn out it was the case but it was my problem and the supervisor claimed that the conversation I had with my payroll rep never happened. I sucked it up and confirmed that all was good with my South Carolina account and was assured, "Yes, all was in order" only to find out 1 year later that the same issue was happening in South Carolina and the employment commission went into my account and took 3k...
Again was assured by my rep that it was an administrator mistake and it would be handled. 3 weeks later a different arrogant manager that I left 6 messages for over 10 days finally took my call (never called me). Told me nothing they can do and if I'm that dissatisfied maybe it's time to switch companies. This is insane!! She couldn't tell me a reason for anything other than not their issue and spoke as if I had just woken her up from a deep sleep. No energy and completely disinterested in the problem other than to tell me again that my payroll rep wouldn't say that...
I suggested that she pull the recordings as every call says it will be recorded as I could provide date and approximate time of call, her response "We don't record calls. We just put that on the recording." They used to be a class A company for payroll. No issues, didn't even have to think about anything other than submitting payroll weekly and they took care of the rest. What a shame how horrible they have become. It did get better with time but there were still problems when we decided to migrate elsewhere. Our rep. made a mistake on our reporting that cost us substantial penalties. The rep refused to own up to it and resigned soon after. We put our account on hold in mid-summer while we moved our location. After a few months Paychex started to charge us a user fee even though we had no payroll. At the end of the year we had to pay the user fee in order to access our account for reporting. My experience corresponds with others as they continued to try to raid our bank account even though we were not using the service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We are very happy with our new service.

I am a small business with just two employees, each in a different state. Paychex repeatedly did not pay employer taxes on time, the error being discovered when I had to sign for registered letters from one state alerting me of the delinquency. To get it correct took weeks, and countless hours of my time following up their various departments and managers. Granted, they did give me several weeks of "free" payroll, but my time and business reputation are worth more than their compensation.
As I write, it's been over a year since I moved my payroll services and I'm STILL dealing with Paychex mistakes. In this case, it's an employee disability policy that they can't seem to properly cancel. I'm an insurance broker myself. I promise you, it's not difficult to cancel a policy. Run, don't walk in the other direction. THERE ARE TOO MANY PAYROLL PROVIDERS OUT THERE TO RISK YOUR BUSINESS REPUTATION AND ACCOUNTING WITH PAYCHEX!

I've been using Paychex as my payroll company for two years now. During that time the customer service was terrible. They have very high turnover of employees and every couple of months I was having to retrain my new specialist who would run my payroll incorrectly. Finally I decided I had enough and was going to hire someone new at the beginning of the year but when I googled quitting Paychex I found lots of people saying when they tried to quit they suddenly came up with "additional charges" and just took the money from their bank account.
So before I said I wanted to cancel I called my bank and asked them to block any further auto withdrawals. It's a good thing I did because after asking five times to close my account and to be sent a final bill, and after paying that final bill, they suddenly sent me a "new final invoice" with $418 owed for miscellaneous fees I had never heard of nor paid before during my two year history with them. Whatever you do never, ever use this company for any services because they will try and scam you out of additional funds if you try to leave. If anyone else out there is interested in joining me and finding a lawyer to sue them I would love to hear from you.

NEVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN! Imagine dealing with a huge bureaucracy that doesn't care at all about your needs then imagine Paychex. This over bloated, poorly run Payroll Company was enough for me to never want to have payroll again! The constant need to contact a representative, unclear information, clumsy website and mindless roadblocks in trying to achieve ANYTHING. Just trying to call them is a headache! All calls are routed to your representative and if they're doing a crappy job (mine was) then good luck finding their boss. And when you do, they'll continue the tradition of making then breaking the promises! Absolutely horrific experience! If you're looking to hire a payroll company RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

If I could give zero stars I would. Two weeks in a row no one called me for payroll at the agreed upon time. I had 1 rep for 2.5 years. She was terrific. Once she left the service went downhill fast. When I needed something, even an answer to a quick question, no one would respond to emails or voicemails left. I was told that they were too busy. Too busy to help a customer? Today I was told that I wasn't a priority, payroll was. Okay so a call for 3 straight days you are too busy to answer and payroll not being met yet again? I quit. I had to find a company that would give a hoot about our company and our employees. It is unacceptable to say they are too busy. My employee did not get his check. Explain that to him. Too busy is an excuse not a reason. Stay until your work is done then. Just horrible service. Their sales reps are good but after they get you to sign you are in a for a hurtin'.

Horrible, I cannot believe this company is in business and are allowed to do business, they are frauds. They are incompetent thieves. They will make promises of ease of use, discounts & free service and still bill you for them. They cannot process payroll correctly. If you are lucky to get a hold of a person they are ignorant and don't know anything. They will mess up your life/business and waste your time & money. I only used them for 1 month before canceling my service, I have been waiting for 3 months for them to credit back my account on charges they continue to auto draft. Here's the kicker, I am still getting charges from them. Time to contact my bank to stop payments, There goes more money and time out the window. Very dissatisfied.

This company's pay system is HORRIBLE! I do not recommend any company to use their services for employees. As of this morning, I had to log into my acct... Username, password, answer 4 security questions, receive 4 verification codes, jump through 8 circus hoops, put clown makeup on, etc...And still NOT able to get into my acct. for my password. I was on the phone with ignorant folks that did not even know what was going on or how to help me. I got into my account after 45 minutes to NOT have my paystubs loaded!!! So, wasted 45 minutes of my time NOT to have the info. Are you kidding me!? I've had it with this CRAPPY ** company!!! Every two weeks the exact, same issues. I should be able to enter my username/password and IMMEDIATELY get into my acct -- NOT! Use ADP!!! Use ADP!!! This company is the worst!!!

I've had endless problems with Paychex. They have 1. taken money out of my account unauthorized, which cost me several overdraft fees with my bank. 2. They have been neglectful in filing my quarterly and some annual returns, causing me being fined by the government for late penalties. 3. They have written out checks for the wrong amount to my instructors. I really honestly don't think that their service could be any worse. I don't know if it is because my business is so small (10 employees), so they don't make me a priority??? But because I am such a small business, I have less wiggle room for mistakes. Effective after my next payroll, I will be canceling my Paychex account. I would recommend for small businesses to NOT use their services.

PAYCHEX has written and verbal strict instructions "HAVE NO CONTACT." Still they continue to violate the law. I am a payroll customer for years, but they DO NOT control their sales or should I say up-sales team. Continued relentless phone tactics last by Frantz **, who btw refused to let it go. Getting very disgusted with PAYCHEX's behavior. STOP HARASSING YOUR CUSTOMER, FOLLOW THE DO NOT CALL ORDER.

They are so incompetent taxing me on a nontaxable reimbursement I finally caught since January. Here it is October 10 days ago they were to go back and correct all of my paychecks and refund the differences. Have they done anything? In 10 days which they said would only take a few days they have done 4 days. Incompetence is no excuse. I will be seeing an accountant and attorney. They will regret ignoring me. Don't use this company. They have zero clue.

Awful experience. The payroll and time programs don't communicate and don't know what is happening on each other's end so you're ultimately using two companies it feels like. Lots of technical issues on the time side. Hidden charges. The worst ever customer service experience as a business owner I have ever had.

Our CEO signed up our small company with Paychex Retirement Services, presumably to help with the administrative burden. Instead, they just ripped us off. The returns were half of what my other accounts were getting, with large administrative fees. The customer service is simply horrible -- they give contradictory advice and run you around their phone lines. Apparently, they won't fill out any paperwork. They charge you for distributions. Using this company was a mistake, and at our last corporate meeting, we all recommended dropping this company. It's better to go straight to Fidelity or another fund, and skip these useless middlemen.

I had withdrawal Paychex services from Feb 2017 with numerous calls and emails on their service terminated. Paychex continue to withdraw funds from my checking account. I tried to stop the deduction, my bank said cannot stop the deduction. The only thing is to reach out and settle it with Paychex. Today 4/28 received the email from Paychex that stated quote, "Termination paperwork has a last check date of 1/1/2017. We are unable to backdate a termination, please complete the paperwork with a future date and return to us for processing." For real this is not my problem, I had forward email and calls Paychex payroll & 401K with my CPA but they just don't care, still continue to withdraw funds after the termination letter was sent.

The variety of service is very wide. An open company to purchase a wide range of stuff. They are nothing short of having more product than you could imagine. I have used them many times over. To begin with they are very helpful. They can outsource tasks like payroll compensation etc with ease and very dependable as an outsourcing company. They train in outsourcing. They bring together resources and people together for a dedicated dependable way of hiring in difficult situations. I believe they can bring together a company in need. Outsourced work has been a lifesaver in the company I am employed by. So much needed training and learning to the employees. Made it easier to deal with other tasks and not worry.

They are flexible. Very reliable. Quick and easy. We receive paychecks very quickly with no errors. They are very organized with the data we send them and very proficient in what they do. They are very ease with use because once we send them the hours and what not they process everything very quickly with less questions. They are easy to use when we have been using them for so long. We have had no issues and will keep using them as long as they keep doing what they are doing. I say their value is 100%. They are inexpensive with great ethics and reliability. We don't get over charged and sometimes if there is an error they will fix it immediately without extra charges.

Offered me the ability to handle my payroll needs with my small business. Was able to provide employee access via the Internet. Big win! Super easy to use their product and offering. Set up and drop employee information into their system and you are good to go. The staff made it easy for me to provide services to my human resource team as well as my employees. Offers great and easy to use online help as well. The product could be a little bit less expensive but overall I am happy with the cost for the services that it provides. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for!

Paychex takes out all of the hassles of the payroll process. They offer many options to the employer for gathering payroll data and takes all of the worries out of having to handle the payroll processes within the company (handle internally).

They teach with ease of use even for someone with very little understanding of any of the payroll procedures. The service that Paychex offers saves our company so much money. Our company does not have to staff any personnel to handle any of the payroll processes. Their services are so valuable to our company and our bottom line and lessens the need for additional personnel (office staff) to handle the payroll processes.
