    Insperity offers United Healthcare and a lot of the others do not. Insperity was also very open about their fees. They gave us a spreadsheet that showed every single little detail. A lot of the other ones weren't as forthcoming with that. Insperity's system is very straightforward. Anytime that there's an issue, they're constantly updating it so that you can find stuff and it's easier to use. Probably why we have not changed is because they're so good at customer service.

    The employment counselors and the people setting up and getting everything legitimate for legal purposes were good. If you don’t know what you have to do to comply and to make sure that you're in compliance with federal regulations and the OSHA, it's very complicated. But Insperity knew all about it. When I needed to talk with the customer support, I could reach them. There was no problem although every once in a while, I have trouble getting online and sometimes trying to reach the tech people. Still, Insperity is a very good payroll service and they handle all employment issues and other things related to it. It's like a turnkey service which is very nice.

    Insperity came and talked to us, We looked at their system and it was great. It takes me no time to do payroll. Our people have the Insperity app on their phones and they clock in and out that way. Then they're able to go to the full website and see all their punches. They have to approve them every other Monday and if there's something missing or they got to request PTO, that goes to their supervisors and the supervisors approve it. Then, I can do payroll, which is a couple of buttons and it's done.

    Insperity's service has been excellent as well. I have a payroll specialist and I can ask her any question. I was trying to do bonuses for the first time through the system and all day, she was emailing me and telling me what to do. Even if I asked her a question that was not her department, she's going to find somebody to help me and they're going to immediately answer me. I can call on the phone if I have trouble with the time system and they're going to step me through it. A while back, I had a question and I didn't know what department to ask. So, I sent something to her about it and she told me not to hunt through my records and my files. She said it was their job and that she was going to find an answer for me. And they did, so I had no complaints.

    Aside from that, they've got a great reporting system and I can get any kind of report there again. That can be complicated, looking at all these different fields and trying to figure it out, but I can ask my payroll specialist and she's going to give me the shortcut. She's even set up some for my payroll and put it in my saved folders. I can just go each time and select those. I don't have to sit there and try to figure out how to do this report. If I have auditors and I got a certain report I need, they'll tell me which report and I call it up and send it to the auditors.

    We were a customer of Insperity for over 20 years but we are no longer clients of theirs because our business has become so small that it's no longer necessary for us to need all of those services. We are now down to two employees. But the whole time that we were with them was a very good experience. They did everything that we needed them to do, got us out of some situations with HR very gracefully and not very expensively.

    The customer service is very prompt and the response time is within 24 hours for anybody getting back to us. Insperity’s website is user-friendly although trying to get reporting seems tedious.     We've been using Insperity for 10 years but it's probably longer than that, and they're terrific. We have absolutely no complaints about them. Using them gives us time to focus on other things. We're not having to deal with the day to day on employee's benefits, direct deposits and other things, which I appreciate. It's been a pleasure. Somebody had to leave for a little bit of an absence and they introduced a new person, and the person has fit in wonderfully. So, it's great.

    As an employee who has had Insperity inflicted upon him, I can say Insperity's service ranges from terrible to non-existent. To be specific, their "web services" are a confusing morass, have zero flow between activities, and no functioning search tools. Even worse, if you can't find what you're looking for, you can always call their endless telephone queue and remain on hold for eternity. If you care at all about your employees, don't do this to them. 1 star because CA won't allow me to rate them 5 dumpster fires.

    The service is great because it makes doing payroll very easily. Our payroll specialist at Insperity, June, is excellent. If there are any nuances to payroll like people that are terminated or hired in the middle of a payroll period, it's always very easy. I can also pull all kinds of reports. We use PerformSmart and we like that for our performance reviews. As far as keeping us updated with legal things that impact human resources like the Affordable Care Act paperwork and all the stuff with covid, it's been a great resource.

    Whenever the service comes up for renewal, we usually end up talking to our original sales rep, William. He's extremely knowledgeable. Any question you have, he has the answers. It's straightforward and honest business dealings. We have compared prices with a couple other services over the years, and Insperity still ends up being the best one, so we keep going with them.

    I used Insperity at a different company before, and I was familiar with the product. We got payroll, medical, dental, and vision through them, and the customer support was amazing. Working with them was seamless, and I never had any issues with processing payroll or benefits. They did a good job. I’m no longer with Insperity though.     Initially, we were a small company that needed help handling payroll processing and some HR issues. That's why we wanted to go with a PEO. And Insperity has a very good reputation. They have over 3 million employees. They have a lot to offer. It is expensive, but for the quality of service they provide, it's well worth it.

    There's a lot of information on the site so sometimes I have to search for things I don't use all the time. If it's something that I use all the time, completely user-friendly. The people, whether it's the HR specialist, the training specialist, our client liaison or the customer service specialist, are all fabulous. They go above and beyond every time. I'm very pleased to be working with them.

    Our services with Insperity are payroll and benefits. We started with them in 2015 when it was just my husband, myself, and a programmer. We needed to get benefits, and we wanted to be with either United Healthcare or Blue Cross Blue Shield. When we joined, it was more for the healthcare than the payroll benefits. We had such a small workforce and that was a no-brainer for doing payroll. However, one of the things that I really appreciate is the reporting. They stay honest and say, “This needs to happen, and that needs to happen,” and that's keeping us out of trouble.

    Apparently, you have to prove you're a small business and not a large employer. There are things like that we may not have known and we might have put ourselves at risk. Insperity not only keeps us in the know, but also follows up to keep us out of trouble when we don't respond the first time. With us, it's never because we don't care. It's because we're so busy. Unless somebody stops and thumps us on the side of the head, we just keep going forward with what we're doing on a daily basis. There were some times when we felt like we were hanging out there, but it was several years ago and we're not struggling with any issues right now around Insperity.

    They've been very helpful to us, especially during COVID. We had to lay off some of our staff and that was very painful. They helped us try to figure out what we needed to do connected with that and I appreciated that. Also, I try to be a good client, but sometimes I need reminders. I love how they give the benefit of the doubt and help us do whatever we need to do from wherever we happen to be. If I'm driving and I need help, the rep Tammy has been very helpful to send me something so that I don't have to look something up. I've been pleased with their team, and I love, specifically, Tammy. We also had an HR rep, Beth, at one time, but she got promoted and doesn't assist us anymore.

    Overall, Insperity is good about telling us what they need from us and when they need it by. I have gotten a phone call before from Tammy because I thought I submitted payroll when I didn't, or I might have scheduled the wire transfer and forgot to approve my payroll. I don't do that often because I truly try to stay on top of it right when I get my payroll notice. Getting that reminder is very important to me because I'm busy and I know other people are too. So they need those types of conveniences. We have not gotten any deeper into any kind of additional services because we have such a small workforce now that we're just trying to keep the business afloat. Things are looking up big time, but we're still in that phase where it hasn't really recovered fully.

    We've been with Insperity for the last 13 years, and we use the HR and TimeStar services. We process our payroll through them, and they also do our insurance and our 401(k). Everybody's always friendly there. We love our HR, Debbie. She's always there for us and any questions we have, we can reach out to her at any time. She always gets back with us and gives us an answer no matter what she has to go through to get it if she doesn't know it.

    Julie, who's our rep as well, is always good. She took time out this year to come out just to go over our insurance. We did a Zoom thing and she was there to help our new hires for any questions with 401(k). They've always been good to us, and I enjoy working with them. For my payroll specialist, I had Leanne, but I'm getting a new one and I haven't worked with her yet.

    We have healthcare and disability benefits, and we set up a 401(k) as well. Insperity's cost compared to the market, when we can look at them side by side, was good. We're a really small company. When we started with them, we were two FTEs, and we're now one. I'm not going to be able to stay on-board unless we end up growing again, but no complaints about anything. Their customer service has been remarkable. They're always accessible, ready to listen and take action whenever I reach out with anything I need.

    We've been with Insperity for three years, and we're happy with their services. They have provided everything that we need so far. We do payroll a lot and the onboarding services, and it's made things a lot easier. Definitely for accounting because they no longer have to deal with payroll, which has cleared up a lot of time to do other things that we need done. Customer support is good too. You can chat, call in, or email. Since I'm an admin on the account, I have direct access to our account managers.

    I was very happy with Insperity. They weren't the cheapest, but I liked them the best. We used Insperity for the full service PEO plus background tax. We ended up moving our insurance through them as well. Kimberly was the HR specialist that I worked with. She was outstanding. I would call her. She’d call me back right away. She was quick to help with any situation. Hannah was my payroll rep. She was also excellent, super helpful and a lovely woman. I really enjoyed working with her.

    The only difficult experiences I had where I think that the customer service was somewhat lacking would be in their insurance departments. They didn't quite have the experience that we needed for our particular type of insurance. They weren't used to working with a film production company. So, there were lots of mistakes. I spent a lot of time on the phone with supervisors. The background check department, changed over their platform sometime maybe a year ago, and although they were great, when I would call them, I found the new platform to not be very user friendly. I would definitely recommend Insperity. I've allowed companies that are looking to potentially contract with Insperity call me for references. On my next job, should they be looking for a PEO, Insperity would definitely be at the top of the list.

    They used to be able to get back to me within minutes before. But now, with the situation as it is, it takes them a day or so to get back to me. Other than that, they're very easy to work with. A couple of times, we've tried to see what their competitors have to offer because Insperity is a premium vendor compared to others. But because their customer service is very good, when you compare apples to apples, everybody's kind of tempted to go towards Insperity. They are a more expensive company to work with, but they're very good at what they do.

    We had two employees that retired this past year so I had to ask Insperity what to do. I asked them to take me through the link and the process. They responded immediately and it was very easy to do. As far as navigating the site, it's okay for me and I am technically challenged sometimes. It's not the easiest, but you can find your way through it. But if you can't, you can make a phone call, and you'll get the answer. We are a nonprofit organization and over the years, we have gained an awesome partnership with Insperity. For some of our events, they'll volunteer. We have a huge Christmas program here in Houston for 5,000 special needs children, and they are very much a big part of that for us. So the trade-off has been really good.

    Insperity makes things easier and simpler for my boss. So he doesn't have to go through different companies for anything. It made our business more seamless. We use Insperity for payroll. Also, we put together our company employee handbook with Insperity. They assisted us with that. They handled our health insurance for us. If we have any questions about it, we can always call the 800 number that they have. They assist us with that. We also have them for onboarding, as far as verifying the people’s information. We do background check and our benefits, like 401(k) plan, with Insperity.

    We have an HR contact person that we deal with that’s very responsive. We’re able to work well with him. Also, whenever it comes time for renewal, we have the person that contacts us that we work together with, and a payroll person that we work closely with. If we have any changes we need to make, she’s very pleasant and helpful. So, it kind of works out pretty well.

    We have payroll, retirement, and insurance with Insperity. We had someone come in in November who gave us an overview of everything that was going on so that the new people could sign up for anything and so far, I'm happy with everything. I've never had a problem with their service and if I ever have a question, it’s answered online. We do everything by email or online, so their service is very simple to use and it's very beneficial to the employees.

    Everything's been taken care of properly and in a timely manner. We're able to reach out to our contacts with confidence so we can get answers back. With Insperity, we're doing the background screenings prior to employment and also the onboarding process. The resources have been sent over so we're able to onboard properly. For the HR legal side, we have the contact for those questions as we need it. 401k is available to us and the online portal, which is great. We utilize the training portal as well.

    The customer support by email is really nice. I'm able to reach out to the resources I need in my safety position to get the COIs when I need them in a timely manner. But I called them about an hour ago and they said their hours were until 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and no one was able to answer the phone for me. I've got something I need taken care of. One of our employees said that one of the problems with the onboarding was waiting so long for the background screening. He said that sometimes if someone needs to be employed that very week, it really depends on the background checks and the drug screening.

    We needed somebody to handle all the aspects of our HR for us as we don't have an HR department. We started using Insperity in 2015 and they do a good job. Their website works pretty well even though sometimes I have a hard time getting in. But that's probably a user problem. Insperity is very responsive. Anytime I asked them to come and do a presentation, there were no problems. They're also always on top of things. If I had to have one complaint, it would be that they're expensive. You can't figure out how they do their billing and how they do their options because they're self-insured. It's hard to figure out if you’re getting a decent deal or not. Other than that, I've recommended Insperity to several people. If you're looking for that type of service, they're top-notch.

    Insperity has the full package our company was looking for and has been good thus far. I like the benefits and payroll services. I looked at the application side of it last year at some point and I gave some feedback on it. I set up the application through them and tested it. I sent it out to me and ran through it like I was somebody applying to the business. It looked like I was applying to Insperity. There was very little naming about Fawley Music. I haven't looked at it since so I don't know if they've changed it.

    Customer support was very good. We got a new rep not long ago and she's been great and very helpful. She's come on board very quickly and is able to get us answers very fast. Recently, we changed our personal health care policy and have had some trouble with UnitedHealthcare such as setting up some things and getting some answers. Any questions that we've had were answered fully and quickly. They did everything they could do to help. Insperity makes a lot of things easier. There are a lot of things that we don't need to do or can't do in-store here. It’s a great bundle. Everything that's outsourced to Insperity, they do a good job with it.

    Two years ago now, I can't remember, we were expanding our business and me and my partner needed help with the human resources aspect of things because I realized I couldn't do it all on my own. I was afraid I was gonna mess up. So, we reached out to Insperity. We had about three meetings with them before we finally agreed, but each time, they were very transparent about what they can do for us. So, we liked them. We signed up with them and they've been pretty stellar ever since. I'm usually in contact with them maybe three times a week, and they're always responsive to my questions and helping me out and making sure that all my stuff is right. We have clinics across multiple states, so we're not just dealing with one state. They helped me with all of them.

    They help us with payroll. And through the COVID, which is taking over everything, they've helped us with making sure that we have the right paperwork, we're doing the right things and compliant federally and with the state. They also help us, unfortunately, with terminations, making sure that we're doing the proper steps so that it doesn't come back and bite us in the butt with a lawsuit. They also helped us with our employee handbook, which was a huge help, because it knocked out a lot of things. So, we utilize a lot of the human resources aspect of it. Also, with our punch-in employees, they handle all that. Working with Insperity has taken a lot of worry off of my shoulders. So, it’s impacted us in a very positive way because they've really taken the guesswork out of what we need to do human resources-wise, payroll-wise and taxes-wise.

    We liked Insperity's benefits package. We utilize the health benefits, 401k, and payroll services. They have really great customer support and I get a response very quickly from them. The only thing is their service fees are a little high. Other than that, Insperity makes my life so much easier. It's great for small businesses that are looking to offer their employees a competitive benefits package or for small businesses that can't necessarily afford to hire multiple office personnel to handle things like HR and payroll separately. Insperity allows another company to do the work and give some kind of peace of mind. They handle all the tax implications of things and they have a lot of benefits to the employees themselves.

    Insperity had been running for about nine months when I came in the door. I came into a situation where the individual who was the primary liaison with Insperity was gone. Most of the processes and procedures were being picked up by others who didn't really know how to interact with Insperity. That was tough. I finally got ahold of some people that I can work with. Allison, who's on the Eastern Business Team 3, has been great. But she's out on maternity leave right now. My primary payroll person, Will, has been great too and he does everything he can to help. I'm really pleased with that.

    I had to make a call this past week before processing payroll to make sure how things are working and they stepped me right through it in 10 minutes. Now I know how to do some other things. The system's got a lot to it and I need to learn it better. I've been trying to use the training portal and get staff assigned to different projects but I have trouble navigating in there. It doesn't seem as intuitive to me as it could.

    We’re a very small organization and I’m the one who does the payroll because I don't really have anybody else that I want to push the payroll out to. I try to take care of the HR stuff too. I've really started leaning on the Insperity HR side of things and finding out there's more and more available to us there. That’s been really nice. The one thing I get confused with is how the cost of insurance rolls up and how you get that projected into your budgets when you go to do your renewal each year. That's not very transparent.

    On the whole, Insperity is pricey but their services are very good. The more I have to use them, the more I can understand some of the pricing. We’re paying 200 bucks per person per month for payroll. I'm very happy with Insperity. The cool thing about it is it is a really inclusive service. I would recommend Insperity to any of my business contacts with the caveat that you're buying a luxury vehicle. You got to know that going in and have somebody teach you how to take advantage of it. I learned the hard way this year about how much help the HR side would take. I should have gone to them much earlier in the process when I was dealing with the issue.

    We utilize Insperity's payroll processing. They're basically our PEO and we get our benefits through them. They're pretty much user-friendly. If we have questions in a certain area, they have a specialist team assigned to that and they're highly trained in their areas of assignment. There's only a small area that could use improvement on the onboarding of new employees, where it is regarding remote employees because a lot of our employees are all over the country. I've just found a little bit of hiccup in the software itself in the onboarding process. But that's a very minor thing and they are constantly looking to improve those.

    Insperity helps us stay compliant without having to do all of that legwork ourselves. We get a business specialist to talk to about stuff. She's local and she has been able to answer our crazy questions. We've had a big growth spurt the last couple of years with all the money that has come through the federal government for supporting COVID-related organizations. We've had to do a lot of hiring very quickly and we were not prepared for how to do that and Insperity helped us through that. The payroll has been pretty good too. It's just frustrating at times because it's a little bit confusing on how some of it works. But the people that are on the payroll team talked us through things. We had one worker's compensation case and the context of that was wonderful and the lady helped us get through it and figure out how to make it work.

    Our only complaint is that they only have one insurance provider and not everybody likes United Healthcare. If we were able to get another choice, our people would be really happy with that. But there is a cost associated with it, and Insperity has a lot of flexibility. The cost to individual staff and the cost to us is pretty good, and they do their best to keep our costs down, so they understand us, which I appreciate as well.

    Insperity’s customer support has been good but there seems to be a higher turnover rate with our main payroll person that we usually have. It’s probably just what it is but sometimes, it gets difficult because we have four different companies with them and we're all separate entities but we're all affiliated in a way. So, every time someone comes in, they have to learn our setup again. Also, we can move employees back and forth between our companies and sometimes, there's some sort of glitch in there. If it's set up completely correct on one side and we move them over to another business, all the information doesn't pull over. So, it's probably a website issue. Still, the flow of things is easy with Insperity.

    We're a member org so, a couple of other member organizations had been using Insperity and liked the service. They were also competitively priced when it came to the all-encompassing package for our benefits. We had Kaiser as our primary plan and they were able to offer a robust Kaiser plan at a reduced cost to us when we factor in all the administration costs. So, they beat the TriNet, ADP, and any others that we looked at on price and good word of mouth. Their website is also pretty easy to navigate and I haven't had any issues.

    We're a small company, so Insperity makes it a lot easier for us. Navigating the site is easy, except when they change it, and I have to relearn, which is aggravating if you're trying to get something done in a timely manner. Every now and then, they'll do something and it changes a report but it's not that often. On Insperity’s website, they changed. It’s been a couple of years ago. I’m on the management side and sometimes, when I'm looking to do certain things, like hire an employee, the forms used to be a little bit clearer. I could see it from that main page. Now, I have to hunt a little bit harder. They change the name of something, like that little bill for me and I have to think about it and I'm thinking if that’s what they mean. I feel like I'm fishing. It messes me up because I'm so accustomed to doing it the one way. There's an advantage on their end somewhere but I don't see it.

    For the most part, the reps have been wonderful. Every now and then something will happen and they couldn’t help me. But normally, my rep that I'm involved with on a weekly basis can handle anything. There was one incident that I got a little frustrated with them because they weren't getting back to me but we got it resolved.

    Insperity is our benefits service provider and they advise us on hiring and firing as well. They recently updated their website and made it nicer. It's easy to use, and if I have any questions, I can call and immediately get someone. We have dedicated representatives. We have an HR specialist, a payroll specialist, a lead person on the account that can coordinate stuff for us and a retirement specialist 'cause they do our 401(k). We also have an OSHA specialist that assists us with the OSHA safety program. Insperity takes the headache out of everything. All the legal issues, they cover them for us so we feel protected, and any questions we have on payroll, they can answer them. They're part of our team.

    The portal is easy to use. The only time that I've needed to reach out for extra help was TimeStar, which is a separate piece where you manage the vacation. I wish that was integrated a bit better. But I was able to figure out how to talk to somebody eventually and get a mistake that had been made fixed. Once I was able to talk with that someone with TimeStar, they were super helpful.

    The Insperity experience has been good. I've got an ongoing call with a customer service rep and we're low maintenance. Insperity allows me to hire high caliber people, and I'm now competing with much bigger corporations who have a big benefit package to offer. It has proven out to be simple too. Every time I get a new board member, they start asking me about the cost and value, and once they dig in and understand how it all works, everybody gets happy about what we've got. At first, they think it's expensive then when they realize how it's a one stop shop for us, they say, "Okay. We really need that." As a small organization, we don't have resources on hand, so it's been awesome to have a place to turn to when I have employee questions or concerns.

    Insperity gives us good benefits to provide for our folks, and we're happy. Every year we renew. We make a conscious choice to do it, and the feedback from the folks that are on insurances are very happy with it. We can cover as much of it as we want to for our folks, which has been helpful for and a blessing to them. It's also easy for me to do payroll and get the stuff out there that I need. I've been able to find what I need, for the most part, online, like going into reports, ‘cause I just do certain things regularly. Some time ago, I was trying to dig a few things up. It took a bit of work, but it's not something I do often enough that I necessarily know where to find the correct numbers for everything. It was just lack of familiarity though.     Our rep was not responsive, it was like pulling teeth to get anything set up and she kept blaming "corporate". She would not get back to me and get us set up for our HSA contribution and we ended up with something we did not want because she completely dropped the ball. I pointed out to Insperity I made the changes within our window of time but their employee did not follow through (even though she said she did), but they didn't seem to care that it was their company's fault and would not let us make the changes without renewing early and incurring fees. It was THEIR rule, not a law that wouldn't let us changed our contributions and yet they didn't want to make an exception. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. If you want corporate run around, then this is for you.

    We decided to transition from our old PEO to Insperity, and the transition went well. There were some bumps in the road, but it was in the middle of a plan year for 401k and health benefits. Hiccups are expected in those kinds of situations. Also, we're a small shop, and in terms of the employees, there's only 14 of us, but people are really satisfied when they're dealing with Insperity. This is in terms of both the website they use, which is much more intuitive, and any interactions they may have, if they have issues or concerns that they want to ask questions about. It's been good, overall.

    We've been with Insperity for four years now. We had ADP for 25 years, and I had no desire to switch, but the representative that was with ADP moved over to Insperity. We used to catch up with him once a year, and I said, “Whatever you ask or say, I'm not switching.” He said, “No, no. I just want to take you to lunch.” I said, “Okay,” then I started telling him all these stories about our company and the staff we had here. He said, “You really need this.” He explained that one thing that would be extremely helpful was Insperity would deal with employee issues that may come about. As a small company of seven, that sounded good because there are so many weird situations. He gave us a price, and I almost had a heart attack. I said, “Are you kidding me? I'm not doing this.”

    Looking at it further, the bundle with the health insurance was the biggest selling point because what the owner saved alone for him and his family outweighed the cost of what Insperity was over ADP. For years of working in our company, we couldn’t offer our employees any extra benefits besides the basic. With Insperity, I'm able to offer short term and long term disability. We also got the 401(k) plan rolled out as well as good health insurance that people can pick and choose their own. It ended up being one of the best decisions we've ever made, and the first two years, I was tripping over myself ballistic over how much I love Insperity. I can't tell how much referral money I've gotten because I set up these appointments because I was so excited about it.

    In the last two years though, it has declined a bit. I brought this up a number of times to them, and these salesmen, there isn't that rapport there anymore. I haven't done any type of ”selling” for them the last couple years because I don't hear from anyone, where before the guy that sold this to me was so awesome to deal with, encouraging, and very involved with us. He ended up leaving because of his own reasons. With our human resources person, Insperity switched to someone else, and I never hear from them. That's a little saddening to me. Before, I would get on the phone with someone, have very good conversations with her and have her help me navigate around what to do about employee situations. Now, I have no clue who my person is.

    The payroll part is good. I've gone through some really good and some okay people, and this person seems just fine. There were some issues in the past, but for the most part, it's clean. Insperity also has a good site and it's easy to get around. The only time I have a bit of quirkiness dealing with it is trying to build a report, but maybe I just need to understand what I need to pull in and how. One of the biggest things that is awesome with Insperity is they take care of everything, talking with employees, notifying them and sending them the paperwork. That's now out of my hands, so I don't have to worry about it.

    When I first got here 10 years ago and the ADP guy came, he talked me into the human resources portion of ADP. I said, “Sounds good. We'll pay the extra money for the human resources portion.” I'm a CPA, but not necessarily a payroll guru. I've done some of this in the past, but not really. A couple years went by then I found out I was not doing the W-9s correctly. I knew I had to get the information on the W-9s, but I didn't know the next step. I was pissed, thinking, “ADP sold me this, your human resourcing,” but if one doesn't know to ask the questions, they don't tell you what the answer is.

    With Insperity, that's the one good thing, especially with a small company. There are things that you don't know that you don't know, unless you have someone come in, do a good overview and say, “You're missing this. You're missing this. You're doing this wrong.” The greatest thing is I have a sense of security knowing that there's less open risk to a small company, going with someone that knows what they're doing, makes sure you're doing things correctly, and gets you on the right track. The buying power of the medical benefits is also very comforting because on the last situation we were in, it was just a buying power of four. Our rates were stupid insane, and they'd be even higher now. But with Insperity, they've been able to keep that reasonable.

    Insperity did a full-service package and we do benefits and payroll with them. My payroll team is fantastic. I love them. If I forget, they're so kind to reach out. We had a power loss, and they called me on the phone to say, "We know you don't have power. But can we get this done over the phone?” But as far as HR, sometimes I feel like I don't know who to reach out to. There are so many team members that I don't know where do I even start. I wasn’t aware that I was gonna keep being passed off so that was a little bit frustrating. I would kinda get used to somebody then they would say, "You're done with your three months interim. Here's your final person.” That could be streamlined a little bit but my HR lady now is good.

    We were interested in getting under Insperity's umbrella for health benefits. We were impressed with the services that they could offer and our sales rep, Megan, was always on top of everything we needed. We still can get in touch with her now if we need to. We also have an HR specialist and a payroll specialist that reach out. We haven't had any complaints from our employees, and we've been able to offer the benefits that we were seeking. We do payroll, healthcare, 401(k) and life insurance for our employees with Insperity and our employees can purchase additional benefits if they like. The only thing is it's kind of pricey and we've been moved around a couple of times with our specialists.     The sales as well as the signup process were both great. The portal is not gonna win any awards but it’s alright. We were in our open enrollment period and a couple of people didn't get their stuff together in time to make changes that they wanted and now they can't make changes. So they're feeling salty about it and part of that is on me because as the boss, I should be saying every day that they got to get those changes in. Also, every time you open the portal, it should say that it’s gonna close on September the 20th. So if you want it, you need to do it now.

    We use Insperity’s services for benefits, payroll, and our other liability as well, like workers' comp and the customer support has been very good. It needs to be more personal though. I'm a little bit unusual of a client for Insperity. It’s designed for businesses that are a little bigger than mine so on my end, Insperity is speaking to the person who's the CEO/hiring manager/benefits coordinator/HR person. They're operating under this assumption that you have more time than you do and you know a lot of jargon that you don't know.

    I need a point person who I call when I need help and my person is a nice man, but he’s not that for me. I don't have a rep who I just call so I end up calling my salesperson, which is preposterous. I've been onboarded for two years and it’s inappropriate for her to talk to me about what's going on. But she's who I always end up talking to because I don't know who to talk to. When you have a fancy credit card, there's a number that you can call, and they ask what's going on. Or if you have a lot of frequent flyer miles, same thing. I have that person in a lot of my main vendors. I have somebody who's dedicated to making sure that I'm getting the very best that I can get from that company and they do that because it helps them grow their business. If I'm feeling good about this vendor, I'm gonna transfer as much of my business to that vendor as I can.

    Insperity might already be maximized on what they can sell my business so maybe they don't need that ongoing thing. But that's the thing that's missing in Insperity. If I was a larger company, my HR person and my bookkeeper would know who to call but I don't have a bookkeeper nor an HR person because there are only eight people here. So those jobs fall upon me.

There are individuals there that try really hard and there are those that just get the patent answer and don't really listen to my problem. When you hire someone to do HR, it is sticky and messy. Sometimes, there are legal contentions that they don't understand. They are even causing more problems by being that way.     Insperity's services are a great fit for us. We've been using their services for about three years and it's been going well. We recently looked for them to take on a bit more of a role but they were not able to do so for us which we found a little surprising. We were trying to see if we could utilize their 401k services but e're not allowed to based on something within our plan. They explained the limitations and it's not necessarily something that they can control. Other than that, the reps have been very responsive and keen to understand what my request is and what it is about. I don't I don't have to go back multiple times to get exactly what I need.

    Make sure you understand the size of this company. Sometimes, a small company working with a larger company, often, you almost don't think in the same way, that you have to go to a person specifically in a department for something. In small companies, you tend to have many hats. So, sometimes, you wonder if you've reached the right department.

    We use Insperity's payroll, 401(k), their group health plan and everything except their personalized HR loan. Their portal is very easy to use. I have no issues ever running payroll and running reports I need to generate. Also, they have a dedicated team that helps us and getting a hold of them is easy. I have a dedicated person that I call and she can either help me or send me to the correct person that I need to go to. But, Insperity could make their admin fee a little more transparent. Right now, I have to guess what part of the cost is the admin fee and what part of it are the payroll taxes and health insurance costs. They've never been able to give me a report that tells much how much we're paying for their admin fees.

    We got in contact with Insperity, liked what they did and we've been with them now for five years. We have been very pleased with them. Brad, the president of the company, talked with them at one time getting some information. We are a small company with 26 employees and part of the thing that I really like about Insperity is keeping updated on all the federal stuff that's constantly changing. That’s something a small company like us didn’t like and had a hard time dealing with it since. Insperity keeps up with all the things that have to be put out.

    The reps have been very good. Back then, one of the ladies that’s retiring that works with them was one of our contacts. She was here recently and I told her the girl that I deal with now that has to do with payroll if I have a question is absolutely awesome. I told her, “I know she'd like to be promoted, but please don't promote her.” We’ve also had a couple other ones that were really good. When they're that good, they get promoted. This girl and I have become friends on the phone and on the computer. She’s super sweet and I told her last week, “I would really like to put a face with your name.” I told her she needs to talk Insperity into sending her up here. She needs to meet her client.

    We have Insperity primarily for payroll. Payroll is too time-consuming since we're such a small business. It wouldn't be worth the effort. Insperity is helpful from that standpoint. We have benefits available through them as well and we used their recruiting service before. Overall, customer support has been good. There was a time during COVID where I was having a tough time getting in touch with our HR representative and I wasn't returning emails. Since then, we've been assigned a different HR representative and haven't had any problems.

    My number one complaint about Insperity's website setup or the portal is some of the forms are a little difficult to track down. Those forms can be a bit elusive. One other thing that is a little annoying is it is difficult to determine how the service fees are being calculated or all of those additional payroll taxes and how those are all divided up. The breakdown can be a little opaque at times. There was a time when we thought we were paying 100,000 a year to have Insperity. But once we really dug into it, we realized that most of that was payroll taxes.

    We've been a client of Insperity for 13 years and they've been pretty good. In the very beginning, we had people in multiple states. We were a small organization and we wanted to offer health insurance in our various states. The simplest way to do that was to work with a PEO. If you have multiple states’ employees and you want to offer health insurance, Insperity would be a good option. There are other PEOs that may offer lower-cost services but we've stuck with Insperity over the years because the level of service that we've needed has been provided.

    There are some parts in the website that are not as intuitive as others. Mostly on the TimeStar side of things. It can be a little bit confusing to read things like PTO and the PTO accrual and navigating that. Also, the process is not completely clear in signing up new employees. I only noticed that they weren't accruing after weeks of not accruing any PTO. But so far, everything's been good. We've had some hiccups and they've addressed them. Insperity has been helpful in that there are plenty of things I don't have to think about. But they could be more area-specific. For example, employment policies are different depending on the area that you live in and this came up a lot during COVID. So Insperity can do a better job of being more familiar with the area-specific HR policies by county. But my representatives have been very much focused on addressing issues as they come up.

    We're a small company of only 22 employees and I do the payroll through Insperity. It's very simple. Insperity is very responsive and it's easy to turn the payroll. The most important person I talk with is the Dallas team leader. Her name is Misty and she does a great job. I send her emails or call her on the phone. She always gets back to me and is very thorough. Sometimes, we have to put in special payrolls like a shoe allowance or eyeglass allowance. I just send Misty the detail. That happens right away and it's on time. The Insperity website is also okay and I can get most reports I need fairly easily. We have health insurance through the company too. The only challenge with Insperity is it's a little expensive on some of the fees that come across. Other than that, Insperity has worked out fine.

    I love their customer service. They do our payroll taxes and our 401. I lean on them heavily for HR work, because even though I'm in HR, I was kind of thrown into it and I don't have any experience. We also have a lot of other freebies and benefits with them.     The customer service is pretty responsive to anything that we do or needs that we may have. We're a very small group. Our burden rate at the time was approaching 55% and we had a health insurance plan that wasn't very helpful. It was 50% with a $2,000 deductible. So we used Insperity, which was Administaff way back in ’07, and we went to the $500 deductible, 80% plan. We kept that in place ever since. Our burden rate dropped in ‘07 from the 55% to about 36%. Over time, it's kind of worked itself back up. We're back to about 49. So it would help if Insperity could try and figure out how to get UnitedHealthcare to drop the cost a lot.

    I am the biggest Insperity advocate. I love it. Greenway, the company itself, makes the platform very easy. It's efficient and has a lot of versatility. There's a lot of intermingling with different vendors that make my daily job a lot easier in relation to patient care.     Insperity is our third company that we have used and so far, I am much better impressed with Insperity than I have been with the others. The website is very user-friendly. If you can't find something, all you got to do is call somebody and they'll tell you where to do it. We work a lot with Melissa, and she's been a total pleasure to work with. Very helpful.     Insperity does an excellent job. I love the ladies that are my service reps. They are super. Insperity relieved the owners of a lot of very time-consuming responsibilities. Because when you change broker dealers, you don't need to be fooling with all this other stuff. It's been beneficial that we have confidence that we're doing what needs to be done. Insperity got those PPP loans during the pandemic. Also, all the information that the Insperity application spit out for them definitely made that a lot easier and the information I could pick up from them.

    One of the owners’ wives owns a business and the local CPA does everything. When the news first came out about the PPP loans, all these people around town were writing themselves $100,000 checks because they were going to get a loan. But as it came out, there were details that they didn't know. So I was kind of glad to have the information from Insperity.

    When it came to get forgiveness, Insperity came out with some more rules that impacted us, which clarified some things that we needed to get what we were entitled to. So all in all, there's no way I would have even known which direction to go in. We also had some employees that left for various reasons and they provided all the paperwork. They were also there when we changed the salaries to make it all legal. Going with Insperity was a really smart move that the owners made.

    I love Insperity. They’ve been awesome. Joe was my sales guy who got me on. If I ever need anything like high-high level, I can go to Joe. But usually, my issues are below Joe. I was having a pretty serious employee issue, and Insperity’s human resources person guided me through step by step how to handle it, what to do and what I was legally liable for. He was incredibly helpful. His name is Cory and I spoke to him countless times. I usually just use the website for payroll but if I have to pull up a report, I can search through. Usually, I call Grace who is my payroll specialist and I just say, “Grace, how do I find this report?” She gets back to me immediately. Payroll is also awesome. They respond within 30 minutes every time I need something. There's a lot on the website. If I need a report for someone's PTO, paid time-off, and where they are, sometimes it's just easier to email Grace. She gets it for me.

    I'm a very small company, and I'm a single person. I'm the owner's wife, and I work for my husband just to help his company out. I have no experience in human resources, but that's the role I play in our little company. So I rely heavily on Cory to guide me through performance reviews, how to handle employees’ behavior and how to conduct myself. He taught me everything.

    Insperity is expensive. I have been recruited by ADP many times, and I've given them my numbers. They want my business desperately. They can never come up with the package that Insperity can give me, and so I stay with Insperity. I cannot speak highly enough about Insperity, and I've told many of my friends who own small companies about Insperity. What drove us to get Insperity was to get health insurance for our company and getting our PPP reports. Insperity was on top of it. Any report I needed from my bank to file for my PPP forgiveness, they had it all labeled for me and organized. That team must have been working 24/7 to get that PPP information ready to go for the government. That was incredible.

    We brought Insperity at the end of 2013 to work mostly with our medical benefits. In joining with them, we could qualify for large group insurance instead of a small group. We were able to get more lucrative benefits for medical insurance at a better cost to our employees. I love everybody I work with. My HR representative is perfect and I reach out to her all the time. I had payroll transitions about three or four times throughout the time. Three of them were great while one was so-so. Since my rep transitioned out, I got somebody. The rest of the team is fabulous to work with.

    I'm paying workers’ comp, EPLI insurance, and medical benefits with Insperity. I pay their fee as well on top of all of that. The workers' comp, medical insurance, and EPLI insurance are cheaper. But Insperity's fee offsets that. We had a few workers’ comp claims that they processed through and some employee issues that they handled. Their legal team jumps in and takes care of all that stuff. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with them. I take Insperity to market every year and interview other PEOs to come in and replace them. Nobody can touch what they give me. If it's even close, there's no reason to change. They provide so much help for us and for our employees. They're a great company.

    There are some things that are really annoying about the website of Insperity. The system is just not intuitive. Just to put in a simple vacation request is difficult. It's not just a one-click process. You have to figure out which thing to go in under, and for us, it's time and attendance. Then you have to find the person. Then you have to go out again to something else, and then go back in. Then you have to click on it, and then you have to figure out which calendar to use. It's a lot of steps and it's just not pleasant to use.

    We've had three different people now be our primary support person. They seem to be good. The last person we had was fabulous and then she left. Now we have a new one and she's only been there a couple of weeks. Then the other part is we have to talk to a different person as it relates to payroll and time. Then, there's this third system called TimeStar, which never responds as a person, but gives you emails about things to respond to. So, it would be really nice if it could all be contained within one human. But Insperity does the things that we need it to do. It just takes a long time to get it done.

    We switched from ADP to Insperity in 2019. So far, things have been good. The only issue I have is on the time and attendance. Recently, they changed their online thing. Before, when I open an employee on the attendance and scroll down their hours, I can still see the name on top. Now, I don't know what employee I'm working on. I have to scroll all the way up just to check. It's a hassle and I feel bad for those companies who have a thousand employees doing this.

    Also, we allow our employees to clock in five minutes early before so there would be no traffic on the time clock. Now, they cannot do five minutes. So, when working on the hours, I keep adjusting it to four minutes. And then the same thing, if the employee starts working at 6 o'clock and they leave at 2:30, that's 8 hours. But, if the employee clocks out at 2:45, instead of getting 15 minutes overtime, the system just calculates 10 minutes. Other than that, Insperity has been very resourceful in giving us information about COVID. They've very helpful for the relief of the employees and getting the emergency pay for the family. They give us updates every time.

    We were a small startup of 12 employees back when we joined Insperity. None of those employees were really focused on HR, administrative services or payroll. Now with Insperity, we know who to turn to if we have questions on benefits. We do HR services and onboarding through them. We have multiple contacts for each specialty whom we can reach out to. We don't have to worry about workers' compensation and insurance anymore. That's always figured out for us especially because we hire remote employees all over the state.

    Plus, the reporting is much better. I have all this information that centralized employees and managers can approve their own hours. It's all super automated for me and I have a million other things to work with or worry about. So, just having that one less thing and having that reporting available and just going through their own process, it's very nice to have it all laid out for us. If we ask a question, Insperity leads us to the right person to get the question answered. They get back to me within 24 hours unless it's on a Friday at 5 o'clock. They're super nice and helpful.

    However, Insperity doesn't have a benefits package the benefits package as our packages that are very focused towards serving a large group of people. There's not a lot of customization there along with the 401k allocations. Other than that, I've had a great experience so far. If we didn't have Insperity to support us we couldn't operate in the same manner especially with the professional capabilities and resources that they have. We're not only bringing on three more employees that we would be paying salaries.

    The website is very good. And the representatives have been helpful as I needed it. The one thing that will lead us away from Insperity is the fact that we have a number of people that are approaching Medicare age and it's driving the cost of the health insurance way up. If they have a spouse or dependent that's on the insurance, the only way that they can stay on the insurance is if that person stays in a regular health insurance plan. They don't have the option as we would if we were doing it directly with a health insurance company where they could go on Medicare and they would allow the spouse under 65 to have a policy to stay on.

    For the right size business, there is no better offer anywhere than what Insperity has. For a business owner, it's not about the better rates, so much as it's about your complexity is about to go down tenfold by doing this. You're in a competitive labor market. You're trying to get people to come work there. You don't want to be getting phone calls on Friday afternoon like, “How come our checks didn't come today?” Or, “I've got a problem with my health insurance.” “Why does our health insurance suck so bad?” It's too complicated and too much to administer. “What about workman's comp insurance?” That's another thing for the owner to have to navigate. I actually found out on my own that Insperity did business insurance. I moved my insurance to them because this is one less dang phone number to remember to deal with.

    I've had ADP. I've had Paychex. I've had brokers. I've tried to cobble together 401k people. But I really like Insperity as a company. They do a nice job and they've made a change in the industry. I have somebody doing the payroll for me and the support team in Atlanta is awesome. My HR specialist does a great job. If I ask her anything, she's on top of it, and very helpful. We also had to use iSolved but it stinks, non-intuitive, and terrible. But the Premier is good.

    We looked online and we found Insperity. They had mixed reviews, but the reality is we love them. When we priced them out, everyone said they're expensive, but they save us a ton on healthcare. Even though you pay a little bit more for the management fee, you get what you pay for. We've been really happy with them. It saved us a lot of time on different tasks that we normally would have to do in-house like HR related, payroll related, etc.. They've also helped us with other things we didn't expect, like performance reviews and additional services that we never had before. The only thing we don't like is the payroll department, which is very rigid. Other than that, we have very few complaints. The team that works with us has been great. Oliver and Maggie are the two people who work with us and they're phenomenal.

    I opened up a new Allstate office and as part of the onboarding through Allstate, they had a fair with vendors. Insperity was there and I had a conversation with them. Given everything I had on my plate, it seemed like a much smarter course of action to have a partner to take care of those things for me. Specifically, the thing that I said, “I gotta have that,” was the employee handbook. Now, I'm down to just myself in the office.     We were looking for a company to handle our payroll, and also we needed to be able to offer benefits to our employees and staff. Insperity was what Allstate recommended. The website is pretty good. Ironically, there was that key for the new termination website. It says, “Click here to see the new format,” and I followed that along quite easily. So, that worked really well. The last time I added a new employee was confusing, but we got through it. But then it gets confusing with the payroll type, so it seemed like we had to edit that. Nick took care of the editing, but it seems like when we're adding a new employee, sometimes there are some issues like we're not doing it exactly right. Then there's a little glitch and it's got to be fixed.

    Nick complains that sometimes we don't hear back right away from Insperity's reps. We were having the payroll stuff. We leave a message and then we don't hear back for a while. As an example, the representative did a review of my employee manual. I've been so busy with things that I didn't mind that she completely forgot about it. Then she ended up like, “Oh, I'm so sorry. I forgot you.” It was a month later that she got back with the edits. It's okay. We were not blown away. If there was another option, I would definitely look at it.

    Also, we got called by a salesperson because Nick didn't sign the agreement right away, and that guy was a little weird. It was awkward. But overall, Insperity is not horrible. The payroll portion of the service has been great. We've never had an issue with anyone's paychecks. So, as far as our payroll service goes and as far as the health insurance implementation, when our employees get signed up, it's been fantastic.

    I was familiar with Insperity here in Houston, since that's where they're located. I also knew the quality of people that they have and that their HR and payroll services are topnotch. So, I decided to try them out. Clint, my sales agent, did a great job and I've given his name to a number of people. So far, they've made my life easier with the support and the resources that they offer. They make sure that we're in line with all the regulations and making sure that everything is covered. Plus, having them allows us to provide health insurance to our people which would be more challenging without the PEO services.

    I use their website almost on a daily basis and it takes a little bit to get used to some of the functionality. The search features could be improved a little bit, like when you're looking for certain types of documents. The things that I use on a daily basis are pretty straightforward but if I'm looking for different types of forms or some specific information, the search features are a little unwieldy and the search results aren't the most easy to sort through. Other than that, Insperity is a very professional service and I'm happy with them. The people are good at what they do and with their responses to any questions or concerns.

    We used Insperity's services mostly for our health insurance. That was what got us on the road there because I knew it would save us money. They were also local to Kansas City here and we knew we had contact with their Kansas City location. Plus, we built a relationship with the salesman here. We got along with their reps and we hit it off right off the bat. They were very informative and every question we had, they either had an answer or got us an answer. They were sensitive as well. So far, their services work well and the reps are very attentive to questions or concerns we have going forward. Aside from that, it's very easy to get in and around on the website.

    But they need to improve on their timekeeping. At least I assume they still use a company called TimeStar for their timekeeping side of it and they're very difficult to work with. They're very slow to get back and respond to when you need something fixed or an employee added or corrected. I don't even know how long it took me to change some supervisors out and to get them over the employees that they supervised so they could do their time. And every time we had to do payroll, it was quite a pain and it took forever to get that squared away.

    Other than that, Insperity's service has been a great impact for us and they've helped us quite a bit with employee issues. With the COVID thing, they helped us with the questions that were changing daily and getting through with all the stimulus plan that was out there. And what they did before I even had to ask them saved me an immense amount of time for applying for the funds and I liked the ease of doing all that.

    We are a small company in an area where multiple global companies also strive to obtain skilled labor. Providing benefits at the same level that those global companies provide is important for us to stand a chance at recruiting skilled labor. Insperity reached out to me. We're currently using their benefit offerings, payroll services, and HR support. My only concern going forward is if insurance continues to increase, then I will jump ship and find cheaper alternatives so that we can maintain our workforce. The payroll was good too but they seemed a little bit busier so they took a little longer to get back to me. I recently canceled with Insperity because the prices were just a little too high for me.     As far as the navigation with the website, there are some times where it's intuitive to do it. But there's always somebody at Insperity to help point me in the right direction. I needed a specific kind of report in order to book our payroll expenses properly and they were very quick. Within a day, I had a report that I run every other week when our payroll wants to get that information. It’s fantastic.

    Whatever is in place with the different teams seems to work. There’s a specific team that's assigned to us. There is one individual who would answer most of the information. She's super responsive, but she's really good about, “You know, make sure you send it to the team email, just in case there's a chance I'm not available.” So, I feel whatever system they've had up in order to make sure answers come back quickly, efficiently and accurately has been excellent. They have the right people on the staff to explain some of the HR rules. I come from the finance world. So, a bit of the HR stuff was on the newer side and they were able to explain it in a way that I understood. I would highly recommend Insperity.

    We were with Insperity for seven years. Then we left for six months. Then we came back to Insperity. We are back with them for two years now. Their website is pretty easy. But one of the things that I tried to get resolved when we came back is the PTO accrual is not reflected on the main login screen. So what people are seeing as PTO is as if they stay the whole year, that's what they would have accumulated by end of the year, not the current accrual amount. But then other things of timekeeping, the employee onboarding, those have been very seamless and easy to use.

    There was a point in time where we were using strictly payroll services. We were then presented with the opportunity of what Insperity has to offer in terms of bundling not only payroll services, but also the benefits administration and that piece of HR as well. And value was seen in that. So, the company made that conversion. I'm in the website frequently, if not daily, at least multiple times a week. I find it easy to navigate. Also, it is more up-to-date than it had been. It's definitely prettier. But I am more challenged to navigate than I had been in the previous manifestation of the training section.

    As far as the various staff that I've worked with, very good experiences. Responsiveness is great and knowledgeable, whether it's our payroll contact or in HR services, or our client representative who will direct me to if I don't know where to go, who can walk me through things. Those have been great. As far as our other things, right now they are working on helping me get our handbook updated, and certainly have been a resource when we've had new HR issues or challenging HR issues to navigate. They have tried to keep in contact with what services we could access. It's just a matter of us prioritizing those things.

    The professionalism and knowledge of meeting labor laws, the security that Insperity is able to provide being the resource and evaluating practices allows a company to work and provide employees a level of professionalism and benefits that wouldn't be possible without them. We've got employees in various states and I'm not sure that a 50-person company could have an HR professional that knew all the ins and outs of payroll and labor laws for all the different places. It allows for a level of professionalism and employee benefits that wouldn't be able to be obtained without their services. If a business was looking for helping their HR, I definitely would recommend Insperity. At least, investigating.

    Insperity is very easy going to work with. I deal with them mostly for payroll. Also, they're very easy to get through to and they answer questions. I just call them. For me, it's Melissa and to answer, she gives me a ring right back. There's a lot on their website, which I know they have to do. I just can never remember, go to this page, this page, then this page. But it's that way with a lot of things. I have a person whose payroll changed for them, and I got a call today. "I know we did this three months ago, but now I can't find it." But they don't care. You can ask them the same question over and over again. They don't act like, "You have done that. I told you this last time." They're used to that. Employees now have insurance and it has been easier for me with taxes and things. That part has been good, so it's easier. If that type of stuff is not a headache for me, then I'm able to focus more on the business.

    Before Insperity, we were with ADP. Insperity's package was better price-wise and customer-service-wise. The website, the portal itself, is fairly easy. I've got the administrator abilities plus my individual employee one. As far as in-person or telephone, customer service has always been great. Email contact's been wonderful. They're responsive and they answer the questions. If they don't know the answer, they'll get someone within their company that has the answers and we hear back if not that day, the next day. They have made it so much easier as far as from the administrator side. All of the compliance issues, the reporting, the requirements, I don't have to worry about any of that. It is all taken care of. If I need a copy of something or need some breakdown, they are always helpful and willing to provide.

    We use Insperity for payroll, some HR guidance and PEO service. We don't have to in-house it. The Employee Service Center, a platform that we all have access to individually, is a little clunky because they try and put too much information on the front page as opposed to parsing it out and having additional levels. I hate the way websites put everything kind of dummyfied right now. I don't really care about pie graphs. It tries to be splashy with funky information, but I really don't need it. I don't hear of a lot of people going, “Oh it's so great. I was just on the ESC recently.” No one’s jumping on there. I do find that that first jump page is hard to maneuver. That's the only place where you can go to the marketplace in case you want to go find rates on a car rental or buy movie tickets. The corporate perks page is fine. I feel like they have a tough time promoting it because it's hidden. You kind of have to look for it.

    As far as the HR solutions, we tried the recruiting. It didn't work very well. We do more guidance and their compliance stuff. So, if there's new regulations for a different location for one of our salespeople who are based at their houses, benefit-wise, they will let us know. They'll send out a notice. I've not been too crazy about customer service support so far. COVID really kicked us in the teeth. Our kind of normal liaise person went on maternity leave, and I don't think she has come back. We've gotten very little information as to what's going to happen with that.

    As of right now, we still have the backup person as our liaise, which I don't really like because she's based in Ohio. If she's not based locally, where we are at the business, I'm not convinced they know enough about the stuff going on here. It's kind of a personal feel about it. But there have been times where I've had to reach out to our liaise for information on COVID. They kind of gave me the runaround, “Oh, go to the resource on the website.” That's garbage because Insperity's based in Texas and she's based in Ohio. She's not helping me look at New York and understand New York. So, it leaves me feeling not as supported as I used to be.

    It's an okay service for what we pay for. It's getting less okay because it keeps getting a little bit more expensive and all of it was, “Here's the general guidelines. Wash your hands, wear masks, social distancing, I get that crap." But it doesn't give me like, “What happens when we have someone that pops up positive in my office of 50 people?” There's no real guidance there because their whole shtick is, “Oh, well, we're here to help you, but you are ultimately your own company.” It’s great, but that’s kind of where we've had a couple of hiccups where we really needed true guidance. I would have loved a little bit more hand-holding, especially during COVID. I am stuck with the backup person who has never reached out to us to check in on us. My normal liaise person would have reached out at least monthly and be like, “Hey, guys. How are you guys doing? Is there’s anything you guys need from us? Blah, blah, blah.”

    We’ve been with Insperity for about 11 years. We started our company just needing payroll services and PEO services, and we continued to stay with them. Courtney has been our rep and she has done a good job. Our payroll team is really good and responsive. The best thing is getting our payroll done. It's just that sometimes, if we make changes to people's titles or things, it doesn't go over into the other platforms. It doesn't always integrate with our payroll. So it would be nice if it was a little more integrative.

    Their sales team was great. We were with a PEO previously. With Insperity, we had a lot of savings compared with it. I have always liked everyone that I've spoken with. Everyone's been very helpful. However, there are times when Insperity is not as flexible as I need them to be given that we are a small business and our employees work on contract. So, we do bump heads on regulatory versus contracts. That's always an issue. But other than that, it's great.

    It is very difficult to speak with someone, I don't know if it's because of COVID-related. Mostly, they correspond through email. But they're very prompt in answering any questions we might have. We like working with them. They do a great job. Now, we don't worry about any payroll issues or withholding issues. I do most of the onboarding and that is extremely easy. The employees have no problem getting on and getting themselves on after I do the onboarding process. So, once we get a person in their system, it works like a clock. We're pretty happy. However, it is extremely expensive. But it is worth the money.

    Pricing was one of the important criteria. Also, Insperity has their own insurance where other companies are tied into it separately. So just because of that, Insperity may have lower rates on some aspects than other places. And ever since then, it just comes down to customer service, and the fact that we've built a relationship with Insperity. They're good. There are four people they interact with on a semi-regular basis, depending on the needs of the company, whether it's an HR question or payroll situation, and they are usually fast and fully satisfactory.

    We had just opened up the company and we were about six months old. Insperity presented great value to us. That was 16 years ago. And they continue to show their value. Their service starts from recruitment, through the work experience, and all the way to termination. That's how full-service they are.     We wanted to offer a more complete benefits package to employees, primarily around health care. What led us to Insperity was we joined an organization that included the Insperity services as part of their package. On the portal, I find some of it very helpful. Last year when COVID hit, the fact that they came out with ways for us to get our reporting in a timely manner for the PPP reporting was great. We made the right decision with Insperity. The video training like the harassment training is very helpful to give our new employees. It's a great value add for us.

    The downside to the portal is it's a little bit clunky at times. For instance, when you get a new employee, what I used to do with the previous company we used was before the person even came to work for us, I would send them a link. They would go in and get all the information into the system so that when they show up for work the first day, we already do get them onboarded pretty quickly. That doesn't happen with Insperity. There are some things that I have to fill out a form on a piece of paper and send it in to make changes. That's sort of out of date nowadays. Today, with all the digital things that are happening and people working from home, it's time to do some kind of an upgrade. We've had a few blips in the payroll area but a lot of that has to do with those forms. Instead of doing it online, we have to fill out a PDF, scan it and send it back in. But the team that's backing us up has been really good, high quality and easy to work with. My main contact is excellent.

    The biggest impact for us has been that we feel much more confident now that we are doing the right things. We're not going to screw up big time on compliance issues. The PPP reporting helped us feel confident that we were putting the right numbers together for our reporting. I do and have recommended Insperity to others but at the same time, I do that judiciously. If I think somebody is going to reject the clunky portal, I don't tell them about it. I talked to somebody and they recommended BambooHR to us, which we used temporarily. It really was really nice in that it reminded us of the hiring date of employees and their birthdays. There are a lot of small little things that made our life easy. With Insperity, I have to go and check all the time and it's not as helpful to me in that sense.

    Insperity gets the basics right about 85% of the time -- payroll, benefits enrollments. When they don't, trying to correct something is a nightmare. It took months to get them to stop sending one employee's health insurance correspondence to another employee. We only use Insperity for the normal, core PEO services and it's outrageously costly. They mark everything up--and I mean everything. There is absolutely no transparency in what you are paying for either. There are a lot of PEOs out there, many that are much more flexible with respect to their structure. If you are an organization that needs all of the extra features that Insperity provides, it might be worthwhile but make sure you understand what you are paying for before signing a contract. I inherited this relationship and, when I looked at the contract, I was shocked that my predecessor would have even considered signing it.

    My company needed peer-to-peer assistance. I send my payrolls through Insperity. It's smooth, and we never had any issues. Once a year, they call me up, we sign up a new contract. And that's it. The website is a bit complicated, but I manage. It asks too many password stuff. It's frustrating because when I store my password in there one time, it should stay there. But every time I'm ready to use it, I got to change my password. I can't remember the last password I had, how would I remember this one? Changing passwords is time consuming. Other than that, it's straightforward.

    Our motivation was to get more comprehensive benefits for employees. Insperity listened to what we asked for and came back with a very understandable quote and list of benefits that we would have had the option to subscribe to. They were very price competitive, and their offering was fairly broad and robust. So, benefits were very good and the cost of benefits was favorable. Insperity just started rolling out the new timekeeping software, which we use as well. Hopefully, that's more user friendly, because the Time Star system hasn't been the most user-friendly piece of software.

    Insperity is affordable. We use a small group so it's very low maintenance. Insperity files the taxes for them and does payroll. The only issues we run into are certain deductions or things that we do with our payroll that we have to work around. But, I do that just to avoid any large communication that I have to do with Insperity. We have one gal that we work with mostly there. Sometimes, I don't find that she's a very credible source. Insperity should make sure their reps are competent and detailed. Sometimes they're more of an in-between and I'm always waiting for them to communicate with someone else. Other than that, the purposes we use Insperity for work really smoothly.

She's timely on trying to connect us with the right people within Insperity. I am the accountant on staff and I use mostly the accounting payroll processing aspect of Insperity. I have some issues with trying to get help on correcting things I see that are set up improperly for things such as 401k plan, which is a plan we have outside of Insperity.

    Then, I also see some issues with the hiring and onboarding process and trying to be able to change some of my options that are showing when I tried to onboard somebody. So, I reached out a couple of times. However, I'm not sure I'm getting the right responses there. When it comes to payroll, there's always a crunch when holidays take away some of our business banking days. it puts a strain on the payroll service as well. If there was a way we could facilitate payroll processing, especially on those holiday deadline dates, that would improve their service.

    We were referred to Insperity by one of our employees. Previous to this, we had a CPA helping to do our payroll. As our company grew, we decided we needed to have a separate HR and payroll services.     I had a past experience with Insperity and the sales process was painless because I decided to do it. I called and Taylor, our sales rep, was great and very helpful in the whole process. We probably got him in trouble because of calling him and asking for help instead of our assigned account customer service rep but that's okay. Our support has been good. We've had a good customer service rep and Lichtgitter probably moved up about three times from customer service reps. So we've now crossed the magic 50 threshold. We're an ALE and we're into a new payroll group. We’re not the little guys anymore. We're into mid-market companies and we've been in that probably since the first of the year. It's gone well. Working with Insperity has helped because we have been able to focus on a lot of other more important things instead of processing payroll and filing payroll tax returns.     Insperity's people are fantastic. Collette with my payroll is phenomenal and Andrea, who calls herself my quarterback, is always there and good. All I have to do is pick the phone up and call her and she makes me feel like we're a multimillion dollar company. All of them do. I feel like I'm the most important person when I'm working with them. Also, the systems are great and I like using them.

    They give us a better roadmap on how to get from point A to point B when we can't see it. Anytime I call and ask somebody, that gets me a little further down the road and a little closer to point B. Being a new company, we're building the foundation with people, processes, and procedures. We have to learn and we need some help in order to get those things place to make sure the foundation of this company is as strong as it can be.     I set up a business from scratch. We’re from Australia and we didn’t have a real understanding of the HR laws, recruitment, and all that sort of stuff over here in the US. We wanted the security of having someone that knew what they were talking about. I looked into companies and Insperity was at the top of the list. They're more expensive than all of their competitors but they offer a full suite of services for us. Also, there were a couple of companies already using Insperity that I spoke with and we were always guided by those companies. We started with one employee and now we have 100 employees. We needed someone that could grow with us without us outgrowing them.

    We have all the HR support from Insperity like in cases where we have to let someone go. We have the payroll service as well. We've got the benefits through Insperity and they helped us out.     A few years back, we were struggling with trying to find affordable health insurance for our small group. We were going through a broker independently as a company all by ourselves with just a handful of employees. A couple of our folks were 50 and up and we were age banded. The cost for them was getting horrible. Somebody mentioned we should look into a PEO so I started researching what PEOs are and who the vendors are out there for that. We talked to a couple and brought in somebody from Insperity. We were very impressed with her and with what she was saying Insperity had to offer so we signed up. I've been thrilled. Our health insurance costs are great and so is the support I get for HR. We keep signing up for more and more services. We just signed up to have them manage our 401k. They do our screening and recruiting now too.

    We had a couple of little stumbles in our handoff related to TimeStar. Part of it was the struggle to learn it was not as intuitive as I'd hoped when we started out. There were three months where we had extra hand-holding. Just as I was getting the hang of it, they said they were transitioning us away from the onboarding team. Suddenly, I had new people that I had to get to know in the support realm. There was something that changed with the portal. I was tearing my hair out there a couple of times going, "I don't understand."

    We also made trouble for ourselves. We were paying our employees every two weeks and that meant that at year end and the beginning of a new year, sometimes the pay period crossed calendar years. Our CEO didn't like it that there were some months that had three payrolls and others that had two. He wanted his months to be equal so he wanted us to change to twice a month pay instead of every two weeks. That was terribly complex but that's not Insperity's fault.

    I deal with many folks. Ashley is my HR helper. We shut down our office for a couple of months early or last spring. When we were trying to bring people back into the office during the summer, there were so many systems that we felt we needed to set up and we needed to learn about. What if people refuse to come back in? What policy should I have? Ashley held my hand through all of that and really made me feel like I was not on my own as we were trying to reinvent the wheel. She helped us develop our HR. We had a sort of a handbook but she helped us make sure it was compliant and professional. She helps us keep that updated and gives me pretty hard copies. Also, I had two challenging employees and Ashley helped me get rid of one of them and encouraged the other to find a new home without having to fire him. She really is a good security blanket.

    Thea is my payroll person and I love her to death. I talk to her twice a month about some crazy things. She's so patient. Devina is helping with recruiting and that's brand new for us. Within the last month or so, we decided we would do a lot of recruiting. There was a special that said we didn't have to pay the placement fee if we signed up before a certain date in January. We threw everything in the kitchen sink that we've been thinking about filling and had Devina help us advertise it. We're making good progress on filling those spots. Isaiah is the one in the 401k department. I bugged him a year ago but we backed out and decided we weren't ready for it. But I called him up again about two months ago and said we were ready. He set that all up for us very quickly. Our employees are thrilled.

    I find it easy to navigate Insperity's website. We wanted to add more expertise to the department without having to hire a whole new team. The reps are very knowledgeable.     I've had so many problems I don't even know where to start, so I'll focus on the only thing that really matters to me instead of telling the stories about all the problems I've had. I wanted a completely outsourced HR department. Insperity advertises (even to this day) that it is "A complete HR service that enables you to focus on growth and opportunity." This statement couldn't be further from the truth. I'm spending more time on HR than I've ever spent and I'm not able to grow my company because Insperity is an impediment.

    Don't get me wrong, there are shining stars in the organization, but as a whole, they are unable to live up to their promises of a "complete HR service that enables

    you to focus on growth and opportunity." It's very hard to switch providers, so I caution everyone to be extremely thorough in your due diligence before choosing Insperity. You can't trust the experience they advertise.

    We're a small business. The first thing that was important to us was health care affordability for all employees. We weren't getting competitive market pricing in a big market like New York City. Insperity was able to offer a drastic reduction in what we were paying there. Everyone that I have dealt with has been very good. Reporting tends to be clunky. But it is okay once you know what you're doing. But all things considered, I've used worse. There can be some streamlining and making it a bit easier to save frequently used reports.

    There are markups along the way, and we’re paying for their service as well. Especially over the last year, with everything going on with COVID, costs are becoming more and more of a real thing. Monitoring every penny where it might become an issue later on down the road. But I recommend Insperity to a lot of other small businesses, especially within my industry, because there is no one that could offer the similar situation that they offer for us.

    We were already using a PEO and valued the ability to control some of our medical expenses, increases, and timekeeping payroll services, as well as the HR functions, trying to go as digital as we could. But we were not happy with the customer service and some of the tools and the interface of the company that we were using. So I reached out to an Insperity contact that had come in the year before to sit down and go through things. From that point forward, we've been an Insperity customer and I've utilized it for a couple of other companies that I've either been owners or a helper on also.

    Insperity had the best health insurance rates. So you can get affordable insurance for your small group and they also handle your payroll and work comp. It was great dealing with their reps. When I submit payroll, I look at everything and submit it. Then it comes back to me for me to log in again and resubmit it to them for approval when I've already submitted it the first time. If it could all be streamlined to where I go in, I process payroll, I hit submit, and it's processed. Then I wouldn't have to go back in and log back in again and I could be finished with it. Also, for any reports or anything that I have to do, I always have to ask them and then they'll save them in my reports. That's not user-friendly at all. Other than that, it has been a positive experience working with them. The employees are happy with the insurance coverage that they have. I do the payroll part and that seems to be pretty smooth, too.

    Insperity seemed like they had a good program. We had a salesperson named Beverly who came in. She met with me and another person. She explained everything Insperity does as far as payroll services, HR services, medical, health insurance, and workers comp. Beverly was really thorough and she followed up on everything. Even after the contract was signed, she would send us notices.

    We’ve been with Insperity for two years now and we started this year with a 401(k) plan. Insperity has been also very helpful for small businesses when it comes to the PPP loan forgiveness process. They generate a whole bunch of reports that you don't have to crunch the numbers on. You basically put in the timeframe that you want and it shows all the information.

    We liked the response of the salesperson early on. They worked really hard to be competitive in quoting us what our costs would be per employee. They worked with us to put together a good plan for our employees. We had a couple other quotes but we felt Insperity was able to handle our needs. I'm very satisfied with the relationship we have with them. It's a good company to work with. It's something I would recommend to a small to growing company because it allows you to kind of behave as if you were a big company. By being a co-employer with Insperity, we're able to offer our employees benefits that typically are only offered by a big company. For a small company, the cost to be able to provide medical benefits is really expensive and a small company usually can't afford that. Usually, medical benefits are all based on volume. The more employees you have, the lower your cost is and the lower the cost, then, in turn for employees. By joining with Insperity or any other PEO, you're able then to have their buying power for medical benefits and life insurance.

    For HR, I do call on them when there's something that I'm not an expert in. All our payroll needs are met through them too. I process my hours, enter my times, gather the information, submit it and work closely with a payroll specialist on the other end who then does the processing. As far as ease of payroll, it's awesome because I don't have to worry about cutting the check or running the check or ensuring that all the payroll tax returns are done. Also, they do all the W-2s. Everything's online so employees control their own profile and information so none of it comes back to me.

    I do all the new hire and the payroll with Insperity. Everything is at the click of the mouse to take care of. When I have some personnel, whether something changes on someone's information or pay out of time off, they're very responsive. But in terms of recruiting and requesting background screenings, I struggle to find that on the website every time I have to search. Other than that, we have terrific benefits. They make the payroll very simple. It’s easy to use.

    I'm very satisfied with Insperity. They do our payroll and provide our insurance. The reps I worked with were fine. Their customer support has been very good.

    I worked for a company that was in deep trouble 2009-13... They hired Insperity to do HR after firing our in house HR to save money I suppose.. Today I get an email that I am in a class action suit against Insperity... I knew they were a pretty poor company but this just proves it. I hope I will recoup some money from this company that treated the workers so shadily. This seems like a good company if you are the boss and don't care about your employees.

The notice of class action you reference pertains to a 401k plan lawsuit where the former investment advisor has reached a proposed settlement with plaintiffs. Insperity is not a party to the proposed settlement and is not making any monetary contribution to it. Furthermore, under the proposed settlement Insperity is being provided with a full and final release of all claims.
