    I signed up for a 6 month contract with this company. Here to find out they literally did nothing for me, let alone charge me an extra $600 for 3 months of service that I didn't even sign up for. They have your account/routing number so they just automatically withdrawal money from your account. Total FRAUD!! I'm actually filing suit against them for my money back since they said they won't refund me. Do not use this company for anything.

    I came into a small business who was doing Yellowbook advertising with Hibu. They were already unhappy with the company due to a very bad experience with their digital marketing department. Following an 18 month review of their advertising endeavors, they had found that they were getting no business through yellow pages advertising and asked that I look into terminating all yellow pages advertising. After several attempts to call where I was required to leave voicemail which were not returned, I finally spoke with Susan, our Hibu customer service representative. I explained the situation at which point she told me we had a contract that could not be canceled for any reason. I told her I understood and that if Hibu was unwilling to work with us on the issue, then would it be possible to just pay off the contract and be done with it. She said that it would, and that there would also be a discount if we were to pay the account in full.

    I agreed that is what we would do and asked her what that amount would be. She told me she would find out and get back to me. It took several more phone calls and voicemails before she finally sent an e-mail with the payoff amount. I did question the amount because it was quite a bit higher than the amount the current bill showed as due on the account, but when I tried to call her back to question it, she stopped returning my calls. Finally, after consultation with the owner of the company, we opted to pay the higher amount and close the account. I sent a check along with a copy of the e-mail I had received from Susan and a letter stating that it was payment in full and requesting a written confirmation that the account was closed.

    I heard nothing from the company for a full month, other than for the dunning phone calls from collection stating that the account was in arrears. Finally, on 11/20/18 I received a certified letter in the mail. Upon opening it, I found the check I had sent and a form letter stating that the check was being returned because it was insufficient to pay the account off in full. There was an 800 number and a name on the letter so I called and spoke with a Janet **. When I explained that I had gotten the payoff balance from our customer service representative and had even provided a copy of the e-mail documenting the amount, Ms. ** stated that Susan didn't have the authority to provide payoff balances and that the check was insufficient to pay off the account. She further stated that she had taken it to her manager before she had sent the letter and he's authorized her to send it.

    I didn't tell Ms. **, but there had been a figure noted on the letter I had received from her indicating a balance that was $237.76 higher than the $2,000+ dollars we had already sent them that they rejected. To verify the number, I asked her what the payoff amount on the account was. The figure she gave me this time was an additional $41.84 higher than the figure on the letter. No longer trusting much of anything I was being told, I asked her to guarantee that if I paid this amount we would owe them nothing else, at which time she stated that her phone was ringing and hung up on me. Repeated attempts to call her back resulted in either getting her voicemail, or the phone being answered and then immediately being forwarded to voicemail.

    I did pay the last amount she provided via their automated payment system using the e-check option simply because if I didn't do so they would continue to tack late charges onto the account, but I am still trying to get through to Ms. ** manager to see if he can explain exactly what is happening and why an attempt to pay off an account and close it results in nothing but abominable customer service and escalating costs. Steer clear of this company.

    I've been trying to cancel an account for 9 months. The company no longer exists. I was willing to pay an early termination fee, they've been polite, but their records just won't update to acknowledge termination. I get weekly calls and emails. They just won't go away. I regret trying to work with them at all. I paid 5 months for online advertising of a company that doesn't exist.

    This was not a scam where I closed a company and opened another. I was never an owner of the first company. That company was closed and its assets were sold to an established company. I gave HIBU my personal credit card information to cover the two month fee for early termination. They've been charging my card until I finally had to cancel it. It's safest to just never engage with them.

Working with different advertising people has been my job for over 20 years and I can honestly say that I have never experienced the level of customer service that I receive from Hibu and our Hibu representative. I appreciate the fact that they make me feel like our business is important and that they truly are there to help us grow our business through their advertising assistance.     $386.50 was withdrawn from my bank account. I called to get information about this money being taken out. They told me that I signed a year contract and I could not cancel. I never signed a contract for this so called Hibu global. I was paying $114 a month for their Yellow book which I plan on canceling that in January 2019 because I am not getting results from Hibu. My customers come from word of mouth and from local advertising. A representative from Hibu told me that I cannot cancel anything.

    What my question is how did they get this signed contract that I did not sign and why don't they allow you to cancel something you did not order! They told me that will investigate the situation and see what can be done. What I wanted to hear is, “Sir we will CANCEL it.” I want it canceled. Never in my life have I been in a contract that has no clause for cancellation or a cancellation fee. According to them, "You are basically stuck." I am stuck with a something I did not sign for and I did not request. Be careful.

    If there are any small or large business looking for a marketing firm PLEASE DO NOT HIRE HIBU. They do not keep their word, they lie to get you under contract and then let you know they no longer provide the services they sold. All of this while still keeping you in a contract paying for services they have discontinued. I was sold the reviews due to they advise this would be a central location for customers to leave reviews and they would then be distributed across Yelp, FB, Google, and website. I am now been told that this is not the case and it can only be copied and pasted well that is not even an option on Google. I was sold the Social program they have under the pretense of them posting on my FB up to 6 times a month.

    Only after month two of asking why no post have been made to be told they no longer offer the service. We have received zero calls from our search or listing campaign and have still been stuck in a contract paying for services they either do not offer or refuse to uphold their end of the deal. I want to make sure no other small business get stuck in a contract paying for services that will not help their company. Please do not hire HIBU to handle your marketing go with a local company that you can meet someone face to face.

    This is the worst company I've ever dealt with when it comes to customer service. Asked repeatedly to have things done the way me the customer wanted, there was no response from sales rep or supervisors when asked to have them call. If you're a small business I run as fast as I can because they obviously don't care about the little guy. It's all about the $$$$ for this company. RUN AWAY!!

    We were contacted by a salesperson who approached us because she found out we were playing with Google AdWords, and she said that Hibu could do the job so much better because this is what they do all day long. We were told we would have our own person, and they would be able to do the job so much better. We tripled the amount we were doing and they destroyed all our organic search and got less from them than we were doing ourselves. We had communication issues with "our guy" including setting up phone consultations and then were never even contacted at that time that we set up. Within 3 months of our 6 month contract, we asked to be removed from contract due to the fact that they did not in any way give us what was offered, and we were told we could not be removed. We were allowed to pay the minimum amount, for the remainder of the two or three months, and they lessened what they did for us for those months.

    Then they charged us again after our contract was over, and then said we had not told them to cancel in time. they insisted they could not do something for us unless we had proof of the cancellation. We asked to speak to someone above her, she said she could have someone call us back within 48 hours, but again without proof of cancellation, there would be nothing they would do. Before you use this company look at their rating on Yelp or other sites. Now we have credits we never used (from when we lowered our contract amount for the last few months) and that they said we can never get also.

    Absolutely stay away from this company. They will lock you into a 12 month contract claiming to provide a nice website and digital marketing. The site they built for my company is filled with misspellings and inaccurate information, which they will not change. The name of my business isn't even spelled correctly! They stole competitors' advertising and used in on my social media platforms. In 11 months, there has not been a single return visitor to my website, which tells me that it is not making a good impression on potential customers. I have called and emailed them many times trying to cancel the contract, to no avail. This company and their sales reps are con artists. STAY AWAY!!!

    Apparently everyone loves or hates Hibu. I was sucked in by the promises of Patricia about how she would be “my person”. She said I could contact her for all problems. I have not heard from her in several months. The website was not changed since the original month except when they added videos I sent them. She won’t return calls to resolve a major issue. I agree to a 6 month contract that was well above what I could afford in my new small business. After Hibu continued to bill after 6 months, Patricia continues to ignore me. I refused to pay and let my credit card company deal with the bill. Now they are apparently going to erase my website. Where is “my person” Patricia now? Don’t use Hibu unless you want to learn an expensive lesson!

    They don’t do what they promise and won’t cancel my contract even after they repeatedly screwed up. I’m paying for lost leads. They are basically stealing from me! Story: A sales rep came to my business for 2 days in a row along with his manager. Then put me on a webinar with another sales rep and they promised me: better leads than I can get, more impressions per ad, real time metrics to my ad (the ones FB offers for free), instant emails of new leads, an analyst that is knowledgeable with FB campaigns. None of this has happened! They have gotten me 2 leads in 5 days. I can get 2 leads in 1 hour through FB myself. Their impressions are only about 300-500 daily which is really poor.

    Here is where I’m pissed. I have 2 new leads but haven’t been able to download them for over 4 days 'cause of an issue they can’t fix. This is lost money and they still want to charge me for this?? The leads weren’t even emailed to me, I had to go in and see that they were there in their portal. Speaking of portal, the metrics are about a day behind and just show some bar graphs that mean nothing. Their filter for day, month, all time doesn’t even work properly. My analyst is suppose to be a specialist, but everything I tell her, she says that she will send it to her team to see what they can do. Why am I speaking to her then? Put me in contact with a person that can make things happen. She is just a roadblock that is delaying the fix. DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY. SCAM!!

    This is by far the worst arrangement I have ever had the misfortune of being a part of. I was solicited at my business by George ** "Senior Account Executive". During and after his pitch. I expressed my opinion that I did not think Yellow Pages, which is now Hibu, would provide much of a return, that I don't think their platform (or book) is really used, and that I don't think it would be worthwhile investment. He would not take no for an answer, continued to persist, and assured me that there are still a significant amount of use on both their website and their book. Obviously, I was skeptical. The sales pitch was very much one of those "I'm not leaving until you say yes or kick me out" kinds of pitches.

    The big picture was that we would pay a deposit, then, months down the road when the book actually ships, we would make 12 monthly payments to pay the rest of the balance. And, in the meantime between the agreement and the distribution of the book, we would have our listing displayed on their website that entire time for no additional cost, and he assured me that we should pick up a few clients that would pay for the cost of the advertising in that time alone. Reluctantly, and mostly because of the months of "free" listing on their website, I stupidly agreed to their services. It has now been an entire year since that agreement was made and our listing has been on their site. An entire 365 days later and we have a grand total of 11 impressions on their listing. 11. That's not clicks, contacts, or inquiries. That's 11 times our listing was seen. 3 of which were me checking out the listing and verifying the information.

    In regards to the book, it was distributed May 20th. It's now September 27th, over four months later. Now, part of what we signed up for was tracking of the website analytics and of the calls made to the number listed in the book (which redirects to our actual phone number). We have one phone call. And yes, that was us testing the number. I reached out to George more than once to express my frustration. The only response I received was a "give it more time to work" and a complete refusal to try to do anything at all to remedy my unhappiness with the arrangement.

    This entire ordeal has been absolutely infuriating. As a business owner I would never offer a "service" that literally does nothing to provide what I'm telling my customers it will provide. And, if a customer approached me with any kind of dissatisfaction with my services, I would absolutely do anything I could to make it right. Hibu, and Yellowbook, and any other name they operate under is absolutely predatory, a scam, and entirely not worth the money. Be warned; do not fall prey to their promises like I did. You will most definitely regret it.

    Don't do business with Hibu. You will get shafted and you WILL be LIED to!!! 3rd time Hibu charge me for rebuilding the same website. Rep told me to always contact her for website changes (I had no access to the website that Hibu built) and she would make it happen as many changes as I wanted. There were zero changes to the website for the entire YEAR. Tried repeatedly to contact rep for changes. Rep wouldn't call back. Used only tool I had, I stopped paying the bill. Hibu called repeatedly and wanted paid, repeatedly I said have my rep call me and I will pay. Never received a call from my rep. I never paid. Hibu called to renew my contract, never mentioned payment but very nice and slick talking. Old rep no longer there. Hibu turned me over to Rauch-Milliken International, Inc for collections, despite the dispute of the contract. Hibu is the one who broke the contract, and now my credit is being threatened for just over $500.

    FYI: If you are already doing business with Hibu and find yourself in a situation similar to mine don't call Hibu. They will conveniently lose the recording of that phone call. Send them an email and don't delete your sent copy. That way you have PROOF of the communications. Even the phone calls that Hibu agents made to me to collect my payment where I told them to have the rep call me they can't find those recordings either. Received letter from Rauch-Milliken and sent them a check in their provided postage. Paid envelope which the United States post office placed a yellow sticker on it and returned it back to me, sticker said "RETURN TO SENDER. NO SUCH NUMBER. UNABLE TO FORWARD". Even their collections company Rauch-Milliken have really bad reviews. After reading some of their reviews maybe it is a blessing they didn't get my banking information.

    After refusing to sign up for a big monthly contract with them, the salesman convinced me to sign up for a $90 site example. What I didn't know until he left is that the contract had me signed up for several thousand a month in the fine print! I only agreed to the $90 to get the salesman to leave! Also just heard from a friend that had been with Hibu for several months and spent around $2000 a month and got no business from it! Unreal! I have finally turned to my lawyer because Hibu has refused to close the contract that they tricked me into. My advice, stay as far away from them as possible!

    HIBU prepared and published a website and charged my credit card monthly. After a few years I sold my business and have been trying to cancel the website and the monthly charge for the last two years! I may have to cancel my credit card in order to stop the charge and will probably never get reimbursed! Customer service were polite and all assured me the charge would stop but none of them contacted me after our initial conversation even though they assured me they would.

    I started with Hibu with the understanding that I had a six month contract. After the first five months I was moderately satisfied and called to see if I could suspend services for the months I was closed being a seasonal ski shop. I thought I could possibly save money on the start up costs rather than start all over. I was told that they would check into it. I never heard from my account contact person. A month goes by and my contract is up and I notice I am still being billed so I then called my rep who was local and told them that I was still being billed for services after being closed. He said "That's strange. We set that up for a six month contract." "I will see what we can do about getting you a refund." I then realized I had been charged for two months past my contract of six months. Wow $515.00 for two months. That is a ton of money for a small family business that is closed for the season!

    Now I am calling Hibu back as I never heard back from my local rep who was working on a remedy. They tell me they understand my plight and will cancel the service and need to get a recorded voice authorization in order to do so. Then ask me if I had ever been asked to do so in the past. I said "no but I did ask if my services could be suspended until I reopen. Do you see the notes on my account?" A pause later she says "I don't see anywhere in the notes saying that." Then informs me that it is the policy of Hibu that in order to cancel services you need to go through the voice recorded process she had performed. I am upset now! I am out over a thousand dollars and no chance of ever getting return on my money. Marketing being done while I am closed for the summer!

    I go to my bank because I have little in the business account and will have to put the charge on credit costing me more! I dispute the charge! My bank reverses the charge and I feel like I may be done. Not so! I received a letter from my bank today stating they will be charging back 515.00 on 9-18-2018. It also states that I canceled on 8-10-2018 and was invoiced on 7-11-2018 therefore responsible for all invoices generated before cancellation. I have been reading as I was directed to the Hibu legal pages paragraph 25 (d). (d) By execution of the Agreement, the signer of the Agreement personally and individually undertakes and assumes, jointly and severally with the business on whose behalf the individual is signing, the full performance of the Agreement including payment of amounts due under the Agreement.

    I would like to know where does it say that I will be charged monthly indefinitely until I perform a verbal or written request even though I only signed up for six months? I hope someone reads this that will make it right for me and my family. This is money we could use to pay bills, buy food, open up for the next season. I also hope I am back righting a review saying this company is ethical and is doing the right thing earning my business back. If not buyer BEWARE!!! One last note: I do remember signing the agreement on a mobile device and was told that it was all normal legal stuff. A contract for six months!

    After my experience I do not see how any of the previous 5 star reviews are real. I get called and visited 2 sometimes 3 times a day. Shown lots of great examples, how fast and easy it would be for them, and a dozen promises of all the services they can provide. As soon as I signed they became nonexistent. Phones calls were never returned, and with others the voice mail boxes were full. 4 hours before my "launch date" I get "my product". All the pictures they promised to take, all the layouts they insisted would help me, turned out to be a handful of pictures they ripped off of Google and Facebook from 5 years ago and of a location I haven't had in 2 years.

    The only thing that saved me, was I was still within my 7 day cancellation period. They didn't even choose to respond to my email messages when I asked what they were doing using old out of date photos. If you are desperate and think you need to use this company, just make sure you get everything promised before the cancellation deadline. It is the only protection you have against this type of con. I made it by only 4 hours. I think they figure sending my proofs at 2 AM would catch me, lucky for me it didn't.

    We met a regional account executive at a trade show in Pittsburgh that offered his services for our Google account. As a small business, with a specialized product, we were apprehensive to sign on with Hibu. We specifically said that we only wanted to start with a "3 month" contract to see if they help improved our advertising campaign. After 3 months, our sales decreased by over 20% and we found that Hibu did not understand our product and/or represent it correctly with our campaign and therefore asked to cancel the service after 3 months. As soon as we contacted our account executive, he said he would cancel our campaign. He then three days later did not and said we needed to pay a cancellation fee and/or were under contract for 6 months. He said our product and website were stupid and that I should be a "man" about it.

    We never signed any contract and/or verbally agreed to anything beyond three months. After contacting customer service multiple times and speaking to the account executives "manager" we were ensured they would cancel the account in one month and not charge us again. We were charged for another month and our ads are still up, therefore, showing they have still not canceled our service. We have called the customer service line multiple times with no avail to speak to someone higher up. As a small business that depends on their online advertising it is extremely disappointing that such a large company is taking advantage of us. At this point, it looks like we will have to seek legal counsel to resolve the situation.

    After being a customer with HIBU for 9 years I sold my business. Once I notified them of change of ownership they told me I was still responsible for the future bill because the last contract I signed, they said was an auto-renewal in the fine print. I asked for special consideration and requested a compromise to settle the entire bill for a little over 50% of the balance. They were not willing to concede. They made no attempt to keep me as a customer at my new location as their competitors did, willfully (Thank you Dexmedia and Vival). They wanted blood, not a customer.

    I was a client for 2.5 years. I thought this company was doing search engine optimization. In reality they only make sure your hours of operation, phone and address are correct.     Hibu was doing the marketing for a company we purchased, just very basic stuff. We needed to up our marketing and online presence so we contracted with them for the added services. What a disaster, they have not done any of the work but threaten to send us to collections if we don’t pay. They offered to reduce the bill by half, why would we owe anything, they have not performed the services they’re charging us for. Looking at the reviews it seems a class action lawsuit might be in order. Any attorneys out there need to take a look at this company!

    Wow, so rude it's even laughable. A Hibu representative reached out to me through my website **. We have a chat box on there. He sent me message, introduced himself, and then explained the services that they offer. He sent me an email, and by the time I went to check the email, I got this message: "I get the hint. I'd rather spend my time with someone who actually is serious about improving their business." He then closed the chat. Now, after seeing so many negative reviews about Hibu, I understand. In addition to lying or being fake like the previous reviews say here, they are very pushy and rude. Never doing business with such a company ugh.

    These people contacted me relentlessly. Always using a recorded line. I finally agreed to give them a shot at producing a website and marketing campaign. It took them forever to produce the website and then it was simplistic, dull and did not target my company in the way that was proficient for what I would be paying for. Before I was convinced to get a product from these people I was assured that I had a 60 day money back guarantee. It is still not 60 days, but the threats and shenanigans are popping!!! I cancelled my agreement within a couple of weeks. I received a sorry to see you go letter, "We're sorry that you've decided not to continue your services with Hibu, and we've processed your cancellation." This is directly from the letter. Then I receive a big bill for $600.00. When the rep calls me to find the problem, she says, "Oh I see you cancelled part of the service, but the website you did not cancel".

    I informed her that I thought I had in fact cancelled EVERYTHING. She said that she would take care of it. Then I received phone calls and emails, very rough collectors, saying I owed money because my account has not been cancelled. When I explained that I have cancelled, the ** said that I needed to prove to HIM that I had cancelled or he would be sending me to collections. He said that there are specific protocols that I need to do to cancel. I do not know what else to do as I only get emails demanding money (I locked them out of automatic withdrawal). I am still within the 60 day period of launch of my services and have talked to my account rep and don't know what to do. Do not do business with these people!!! They have not refunded the money they got from me and are crooks! And make a horrible product.

    Aloha, If this 1-star review is still up that means they didn't hold their integrity and are still trying to con me out of money. They have a 7 day cancellation policy, luckily I cancelled within 7 days because they didn't have the type of marketing I wanted. They okayed my cancellation but called me back and said they won't "let" me cancel. This reminds me of timeshare! Disgusting. This company has such a bad reputation that as soon as my bookkeeper saw the charge from Hibu/Yellowbook he called me to tell me "I hope you didn't sign up with them, they are SCAM artists and have terrible business practices." I'm sure they can come back from their bad business practice, starting with making a better reputation for themselves by having integrity with me! I will remove this 1 star review when my complaint is resolved and they take responsibility and practice good business.

    It has taken me a month and a half and three phone calls every day of the week to get my account streamlined. Starting with Lori ** and 18 people in India that apparently can't help you do anything because you have an account manager mind being Lori who doesn't know how to return calls. The account I use for Accelerated Welding is way overpriced for the service I get out of it at $550 a month. I'd like someone to return my phone call. Hey don't get me wrong they're big into the automated emails bringing you back to the 1-800 number that brings you to the person in India that brings you back to your account salesperson all of which are pretty much useless to me. However I'll bet you posting this review get some results.

    First they make you stay for a whole year $220.00 each month. Not able to cancel if you are not satisfied with the work Hibu performance. Second I want to change my ad and had call them many times with no luck. Leave messages and no one call back... Is like we got you for one year and that is all you have to pay us. For anyone who want to built a reputation online... Use Adwords from Google. You will be working with professional. Hibu is the middleman of all this ads online campaign. I totally not agree with this company and how they work. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, AND NOW I'M STUCK WITH ONE YEAR CONTRACT. $220 each months from my bank account.     SUMMARY: We hired Hibu in early 2016 to manage our online presence and create a new website. Since then, results have been disappointing on all levels: amateurish design; canned communications; poor follow through with work left incomplete; no "customer" in customer service. In this world of automation, my experience is that Hibu has managed to finally automate the customer right out of its service (including the need to ever communicate with customers, much less pick up the phone). There was nothing in my interaction with anyone that was not proscribed by template, procedure, policy, or rules -- to the point of walking away and leaving work half finished.

    DESIGN: Cookie-cutter product from templates, lots of pretty pictures, but no substance or imagination. Fine for simple consumer business in mass market; woefully inadequate for complex B-to-B market or specialized companies in niche markets. FOLLOW THROUGH: Website design: initial draft was so far off from instructions I needed to take charge; was rushed to upload incomplete version to meet some internal deadline; then told by our account rep that she was too busy to personally help us anymore and we were on our own to make additions/changes ourselves. Online presence: Still a mess after two year with even major directories still carrying outdated info. (By comparison, we had an amazingly good experience with another company who updated everything in less than a month.)

    COMMUNICATIONS: Two years and not a single communication from Hibu (except invoices). Since requesting termination, it is seems Hibu never met a customer need that can't be handled with an automated canned email, all of which end with instructions to call them. Even after clearly communicating the reasons for termination, Hibu's reply was another automated email with instructions to "Please call so we can discuss the reasons for your termination." If you-- are a simple, consumer business with mass market appeal, Want a DIY platform, never want to communicate with a human being, then Hibu may be your thing. For us, it was simply not the right choice (and an experience neither Kafka nor Orwell could have scripted).

    I consulted with Hibu on working with them to create my company website. Gemma ** was my representative, in our discussion I went through the entire process of getting my account setup, and I was told that I would not be charged ANYTHING until the website was completed. Before they even got started on my website, I found someone else and decided to go a different direction. Hibu never even started on my project, however I'm now being charged with a monthly fee by Hibu.

    I talked to their customer service and they refuse to stop the charges and they won't allow me to cancel my own account. I don't understand how a company can continue to charge for a service that they are not providing and furthermore how is it that I, as the account holder, don't have the ability to cancel my own account. Also, I even offered to pay some money now just so I can cancel my contract and yet they still refuse to do this. Hibu is a terrible company with terrible customer service, I wouldn't recommend for anyone to use their services.

    My company ** enlisted Yellowbook several years ago to list in their book. Each time they had gotten the address of the business wrong. I explained this matter several times without no change. I had canceled the service 2 years ago. We moved locations last year, I received an invoice in the mail that was forwarded from the other address, (which was wrong again), but this time the phone number is incorrect as well, since we moved. I immediately called, customer service is horrible, waited to find someone to help. Finally received a reply stating they would take 20% off the bill. JOKE! After about 5 times of stating this is not good enough and refusal to pay. I am now receiving calls from a law firm. Please take me to small claims court, You will lose. Funny thing is, now I look on their website and amazingly the listing is corrected.

    VERY unhappy with "services". I'm new to business and marketing and the internet business in general. I thought I had explained my budget and what I needed. Come to find out it was all a LIE! It took me getting my attorney to write a letter to get one of the charges removed. NOW I'm getting email threats about $36 left over from the UNAPPROVED charge.

    The 800 "customer service" number is a joke. No one knows anything. No one will help you. No one seems to be or know a supervisor. Oh, and billing, there is no department. I've asked for copies of the so-called voice approval contract. I keep getting hung up on. My attorney want a transcript. "We don't give those out." Um, do you realize the FEDERAL LAW states I receive a copy?

    Then I get this monthly "click rate." I've yet to have anyone explain to me what it is. WHERE are my ads. I am supposed to have a customer service rep for my account. HA! If and actually get to talk to a person I get the runaround OR leave a message and NO ONE RETURNS my calls! I was billed for an ad campaign I didn't agree to. I had to CANCEL my credit card because I told them when I opened this account DO NOT CHARGE to that card. They LIED. I post a check monthly. THEY LIED. I'm very unhappy with them and their lack of interest in my account, business or me!

    As a small business, we have been exploring a few advertising avenues and HIBU seemed promising. My sales associate was Dusty ** and after speaking to him about not being comfortable with a 6 month contract... I asked them if they would they be willing to do a 7 day trial, in which Dusty confirmed that would be possible. We agreed that it would not be free and that we would of course, pay them for that trial period and continue with the 6 month contract if we were satisfied. I gave cc verification by phone then was forwarded to a new associate, David **.

    After 5 days I contacted David to let him know that we will discontinue service with our campaign as we got less than a 1% click rate over that period. This is when things really changed. I was told I’d get a call back, I was told that perhaps they could come to a resolution for a different monthly rate, etc. I never got that phone call back, I called both associates numerous times, sent emails, left VM’s, and received absolutely no response. Finally, I contacted the CS Dept. Ultimately, I was told that I was stuck in this 6 month contract and I was ineligible to cancel. It was confirmed by Russell that there was a note for a 7 day trial in our account but there was still nothing that they could do. I’m currently waiting for a manager to contact me to help me get this resolved. Will update in the future.

    I met a Hibu rep through a local business network meeting early December 2017. Her name is Lavina **. She represented that Hibu is a major social media marketer. She offered me one free month of service. She presented that if I am NOT happy with the service, I do not have to continue and can cancel the service. This is a very deceiving and fraudulent presentation as I learned and fought the company in the next 6 months trying to cancel the service.

    We signed the agreement in early December with the goal to capture the holiday sales. I have followed up a few times around Dec. 13, 2017 to see where the first advertisement will appear. I was told that the ad copy will take more than two weeks to be ready. Then the first ad was finally released AFTER the holiday and the Ad was released WITHOUT our approval and the ad copy used a very outdated and wrong medical device to represent our state of the art, FDA approved laser device. We have made several requests to change the ad copy with no result. The nightmare started from there. We decided to cancel the service on Feb. 6, 2018. I texted and called my rep Lavina **.

    Since then we have been fighting with the rep and the company to cancel the service without much luck. They continue to charge $599 per month for the AD that we DID not approve and asked for corrections with no luck!!! Please DO NOT be tricked by the company’s sales tactic that you will have one FREE trial month!!! This is a trap. My rep assumed me in person that if I am NOT happy with the service, she can cancel the service. She appears to make attempt to help me terminating the service by offering her supervisor’s direct contact info. I did call and was assured that the service is terminated. The sad news is, as of May 24, 2018, I am still receiving harassing emails from the company asking for payment. Lessons learned: DO NOT sign up for any services with HIBU!!! DO NOT be tricked into trying the one month free service!!! It is a trap!!!

    Hibu, the owners of Yellow Book, is now owned by a company from the Philippines. It costs $375 per year to have your business name highlighted in the phone book. The name of our business was not in the phone book the last 2 years. I called them and got someone in the Philippines, very difficult to understand and had quite an attitude. She said if the name of our business was left out, it was because there wasn't room in the phone book. And that to guarantee a spot in the phone book, we have to pay them $375 per year.

    Of course, I was shocked because this was never the policy when Yellow Book was owned by American people. Everyone was included and the businesses that can afford to advertise were highlighted in the white pages and had an ad in the yellow pages. Hibu has left out two dentists in our town, our local church as well as our business. We have never paid to advertise in Yellow Book. This is what happens when foreign companies are allowed to purchase American companies.

But they claim they have the right because it is in the contract. I will never do business with them again and would not recommend them to anyone.     I discovered Hibu Advertising through a local small business referral group. I just relocated my small business from out of state, and the representative seemed genuinely interested in the success of my business. The representative met me at my storefront location and at the conclusion of his presentation I agreed to try the basic $140/month advertising plan. This meeting was the only positive experience I have had with the company.

    In the weeks that followed, Hibu sent me several emails asking me to log in to their website. I was unable to do so because the representative had failed to complete the basic information and my account was inactive. However, I paid for the first month. Through October and December, I called numerous times to try and figure out what Hibu was doing with my account. Every attempt to glean information was deflected- I left voicemails that went unanswered, or representatives were unable to provide me with any summary of the basic service Hibu was providing. I was paying this company $140 each month, and they could not provide me with access to my account, a summary of the ads they were supposedly running on my behalf, or any metrics on the effectiveness of their 'efforts.' Despite having no access to my account, no evidence of my ads on Google, and no new customers as a result of advertising, Hibu charged my account without fail.

    In January, I received an email from Hibu with minimal analytics on the 'success' of my ad campaign. Even by their metrics, their ads were ineffective- receiving a measly 79 clicks in a month. Furthermore, my website showed no changes in traffic since I started 'advertising' with Hibu. I continued to call Hibu, asking about the effectiveness of these ads and why the returns were so pathetic- and reached only voicemails.

    After three months hemorrhaging funds to a company clearly doing nothing to promote my business, I called several times to try and cancel my account. After waiting on hold for 38 minutes, the call center representative told me I had to contact my original salesperson to cancel. I proceeded to leave four voicemails for the salesperson over the next two weeks. I received no reply.

    In March, Hibu double-charged my bank account. I was charged $140 on the 2nd of the month, then for another $140 on the 28th. I escalated this to the fraud department with my bank- cancelling my business card and filing a fraud claim against Hibu. Despite these efforts, Hibu again attempted to charge my business for the month of May. To summarize, Hibu is a toxic company. They fail to advertise effectively (or at all, from what I can tell), their customer service is circuitous and unavailable, and their billing practices are fraudulent. Avoid Hibu advertising at all costs.

    HIBU has to be one of the biggest scammers I have ever done business with. First they came out and told me that if I signed a 6 month contract that my first month would be 100% free. But then 2 weeks after signing the contract they hit my credit card for over $1,600.00. Then 3 weeks later another $2,500.00. They didn't do their jobs as I didn't receive a single return on my investment. I have since canceled and refused to pay on the contract. Currently they have their legal department harassing me. I am looking for others who have been victimized by HIBU as I am looking at a class action lawsuit against this business as well. Please reach out to me if you have been victimized by HIBU yourself.     When I sat down initially with our representative I was very excited. I was new to the restaurant industry and my wife who is the business minded and savvy one was 7 months pregnant at the time. The idea that one company would effectively handle all of our social media and online presence seemed almost too good to be true. After spending over an hour on the phone with our web designer I was given 48 hours to provide all of the content that I requested be included (already more time than it takes to design a decent webpage with most DIY companies). When I didn't have time to immediately provide all of the content, details, and pictures for our website the designer plagiarized my wife's content for the site we're hoping to replace.

    The images we were able to submit were distorted and the content was wrong. The banner ads they created lead to a nonexistent domain (404 error) which may have been better than directing customers to the sad excuse for a website they provided. When we asked for a refund they said the contract didn't allow for cancellation regardless of services provided. This is not a professional digital marketing company, just a scam trying to capitalize on new business owners that don't have the time to do social media themselves. My recommendation would be to pay any mildly computer savvy 12 year old for a better product.

    Unknown to me Hibu took over my Google business page and made it impossible for me to manage my online reviews. It is hard telling how many customer I have lost due to my inability to respond to my online reviews. They actually have been taking money from me to destroy my business image. They called and spoke with a person who had no authority and tell me that this person who no longer works for me authorized more business with Hibu. This person never had that authority and I am certain that Hibu did not have this person as a contact person from my company. When I reached out to them I spoke with 5 different people and received 5 different descriptions of how their products work. Then I spoke with a manager who told me that they were all wrong. Who should I trust? Absolutely no one at Hibu. I still do not have control of my Google account.

Now that I want to cancel the account I'm getting the runaround. I spoke with someone in February to cancel and they told me they just needed an email to update the billing info and to state that I wanted to cancel the account. He never put in the cancellation and didn't make a note of it. I called back in March. I was told the same thing. I complied and assumed it would be taken care of. Again the person that I spoke to never put in the cancellation. I have had to call a third time to get this cancelled. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I would not recommend them at all.

    Is there a zero star?? All promises were broken - e.g., sales rep promised SEO and internet marketing with a monthly fee. Never did. There is really no written contract; I was asked to say "Yes" to statements from a pre-recorded voice on the phone, presto - I couldn't get out of a one-year contract even with a very bad service! I felt I was totally scammed. Towards the end of the 12-mo contract, I was even mislead to believe that I have 3 months more to go - and agony didn't finish - they have not refunded the payment that was withdrawn from my account, which was actually over withdrawn because they require automatic payment.

    During the course of my agony, I called several people at Hibu and NO ONE ever advised me of what to do with issues I encountered in their management of my website. Poor. Poor. Poor. Very poor! If you see nice reviews here - Hibu might have written them - please don't get scammed by Hibu! They know how to erase bad reviews, why wouldn't they erase theirs? I guarantee you, this review will be erased too. But until then... a few would be able to read... this: HIBU is a hype, it is wrong to engage them!

    We ran a social media campaign for our business. We were with a sales guy for years. The post didn't really get a return and half of them didn't pertain to what we were doing. I tried for months to get in touch with sales rep. I found out they had let him go. I could not get a response to new sales rep and decided to cancel. I was told I was on 12 month contract and couldn't. When I pushed they finally said I can cancel and even emailed a letter.

    The next month, I received a bill for more money. When I called I was told, we only cancelled a portion of the promotion and I was not able to cancel the rest because I was on a 12 month contract. I asked why I can cancel one 12 month contract but not the other. I got a bunch of excuses. I asked to speak with management and was told I can't. I asked the CSR for an employee number or Id so I can identify her and was told she doesn't have anything but her first name. We have several business with several campaigns with this company and will be pulling them all due to lack of customer service. All this over $70.

    Terrible... Terrible experience! First off I was promised a website up and running in two weeks. It's been a month still no site! Due to the design consultant's team not being trained to follow through with task. The first on 3/26/18 I spoke with a design consultant to collect content for the website's builders. We went through an intense hour in a half consultation. We then postponed for 3/28/18 verify all content and images before forwarding that content to the web builders on that Wednesday. No follow up call. I then for eight straight days called and left message after message on the sales consultant line as well as the sales manager and also the design consultant's line with no return calls. I then left a disruptive voicemail and finally received a call from the sales rep on the account. She informed me that they let the design consultant go from the company.

    She also informed me that the account was reassigned to a new consultant in that department and she would be contacting me soon to introduce her self and pick up where Marlene left off. No such call ever came; I then contacted Nicole of sales department on 4/4 informing her I still had yet to receive a call. Then on 4/6/18 someone named Holly calls to state she needed me to verify the web design that was finished! I was appalled at the possibility of a completed design when they never received the rest of the content.

    She then was very nasty and blatantly lied about the matter so instead of letting hire up know it's a problem they then try to hand off the account to someone who was completely inexperienced that single-handedly made her own protocol and policies and she didn't understand her job period. Every time I ask for the owner or higher up they state how they don't have one! Oh and let's not get into how rude their design team is the whole team that is.

    A Hibu account representative, Carmen ** came into my place of work recently. We have a prominent 'no soliciting' sign posted in our window and (as we did not request any information from Hibu) we felt that it was a violation of our request of no solicitation that she came in and gave a pitch anyway. There really wasn't an introduction (she told me who she was but did not ask who I am or what my place is in the business), so she couldn't have known that as she was pulling up all the listing information she found for our business (which, as we didn't request this meeting with her or ask her to review our information, also felt like a violation). She was condemning my work personally, as the marketing and social media manager for the business. Apparently, I should be aware that we will not be competitive as a business if we don't utilize Hibu's services.

    I tried to be kind, telling her that I would pass along the information, but then she happened to ask who is in charge of our promotional work and I had to tell her that I am... at which point it seemed to dawn on her that it may not have been the right approach to tell me to my face that my promotional work will not help our business succeed. But even still, she did not accept my polite, "We'll pass your card along to the owner and contact you if we're interested" dismissal... the manager had heard the conversation and come up to see what was going on and it wasn't until she saw him and he reiterated our stance on the pitch that she finally exited the building.

    The interaction was tense, but for some reason she sat in her parked car directly outside of our business (which is parking meant for paying customers, so they don't have to lug their heavy items across the parking lot) for several minutes before finally driving away. I know it isn't a fun job to have to make cold calls to businesses that haven't expressed any interest in your service and that staff can be rude when receiving the unsought sales pitch, but I think Hibu should consider making some adjustments in how they promote themselves via their representatives.

    I have paid Hibu lots of money to advertise for the last several years. The salesperson makes lots of promises to get me to sign on for a new year, even though I express my frustration that last year's promises were not kept, including Hibu was unable to buy my domain name so that my business cards would have current information. Finally I sent a letter last November cancelling all Hibu accounts & they emailed me confirming my cancellation with the statement "sorry to see you go." Then they continued to take over $200 each month from my bank account & when I wrote them again to tell them to stop charging me as their services were cancelled, they attacked my credit & made false reports to the credit agencies.

    I had decided the day I was having the account set up to cancel with Hibu. John came on the phone and pushed me into waiting and give it a month. I even asked could I cancel it at any time. He said yes. That was 2/28. I called today to cancel, 3/16, I was told the work had been done and I was locked in for a year, paying 49.00 per month. I talked to John, I told him I was not getting any business, I was down to my last $50 in the bank and I wanted to cancel.

    He told me too bad, I wasn't going to be able to cancel and to basically get over myself and deal with it. This has been the worse. He proceeded to lecture me and tell me if I am going to end my life (I am about ready to) to go ahead. What a rude person. When I asked how I can get out of it, he said to stop paying then I'll get collectors calling. That'll make my credit go down. HIBU doesn't care. Nor have any consideration at all for it customers. I just want to cancel and not be charged $49 a month. That was all.

    They add products that you would not have purchased if you knew there was an additional charge. They don't call you back. They will not cancel and continue to tell me I'm receiving more calls than I'm actually receiving. Very dissatisfied, could not get a copy of my contract and then when finally received, (sales rep. laptop would not print) it is not what you discussed with rep. and they won't let you cancel as it is past their allowed cancellation time.

    My file on phone calls to Hibu customer service is 2 inches thick, I wised up and made them email everything to me, as one person will tell you one thing and say they will call you back, they never call you back and another person tells you something different. I have had customer service tell me they are no longer with us and call back and the no longer with us is talking to you. Someone needs to put a stop to this, they have set me up for collections on a product I finally got cancelled. They still send me monthly updates on calls I'm supposedly receiving after cancelled and then set me up with a collection agency.

    I cancelled my contract with this company in December to be effective in January, I understand contracts and how they work. I also understand how overcharging a customer and refusing to listen to their complaint will get you in a bad spot, which is why I am here. They continue to preach 12-month contract yet when we do simple addition and subtraction, contract amount is one number and paid amount is a different one. When they do not match the other party should work to fix it right? Not Hibu, they don't care and never paid any attention to my complaint until I mentioned Class Action Lawsuit and the BBB. Then they called and still never tried to fix the problem. As a business owner, I am tired of the runaround and feel it is time to put the screws to them. Anybody else want to join in?

    Last year, we contacted Hibu, Inc. to cancel our services with them. We had some new marketing ventures that we were exploring and needed to re-allocate some of our marketing budget. The call to cancel was simple enough. We were assured that our services had been properly canceled and that we would receive one last bill at the beginning of 2018. The last bill came, I called to verify that the services were canceled, a Hibu, Inc. customer service representative confirmed that the services were canceled. Then I received a bill in February. "Well, this must be a mistake;" I thought to myself. No. They neglected to cancel the "digital directory" portion of our services. I called to resolve the issue and was met with resistance in the face of logic, indignation, and a less than customer-centered response to my request for help.

    Corporations like Hibu, Inc. love taking advantage of small businesses. The quality of what you get for the good money that you render for their services is never equal - they are a morally bankrupt organization and ethically challenged to say the least. Theft is synonymous with Hibu, Inc. They are still the same slithering and dirty operatives that they have always been - you can't polish a... Well, you know the old saying. Please do yourself and your customers a huge favor - STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL HARM YOU. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CUSTOMERS. They are base.     We had several issues from the beginning with Hibu. First, we were told that our ads would start the first of the month, per our request. That didn't happen, instead it took 6 more days. Getting credentials to our dashboard was also put on the back burner. We were very specific about pictures to use and wording. Our ad only had one sentence in which an incorrect word was used, they put complete instead of compete. The picture used was also inadequate to the target audience we were looking for. Also, the designer of the page called to follow up with us, we missed her call, called her back but never heard a peep again. The design person lacks in the caring for product quality. We also asked for our email address, for communication between us and Hibu, be changed in the beginning. They told us it was changed... lo and behold it wasn't. Took over two month to change an email address.

    We rode the wave with our 6 month contract. Cancelled in a timely manner but they still kept deducted their fee from our bank account. We overall regret our decision to use Hibu and wish we could have spent our money wisely elsewhere. It was a complete waste of money and they are trying not to refund us our money that they took without our consent. P.S. My sister (real estate) and my father's (insurance company) signed up with Hibu. They are also unsatisfied with all aspects of Hibu.

    Hibu talked a good game but did not come through on any of it. I was assigned a very young and inexperienced person to work on my website. After one hour and a half telephone conversation and a second half hour telephone conversation, I got a website that wasn't close to what I wanted. Then I got a barrage of calls from other Hibu employees for SEO and a host of other "services". All seemed to be very young and inexperienced. Each employee worked in their own silo and knew nothing about any other aspects of my website. I was told I couldn't cancel the site even though I had paid a down payment and had not gotten anything of value from them. I didn't realize that I wasn't going to own the web-site nor that the domain name was going to be awkward at best. I don't usually write reviews, however, I feel this is my civic duty. If I had only known before I spent time and money, I would have saved both frustration and money.

In our discussions with the client he did indicate he was not happy with the website, however he never provided nor made any changes during the pre-live or post live time frame.     This is honestly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. When we first started HIBU promised the world like everyone else writing bad reviews. 30 days in and nothing got posted or worked on. After I pointed this out multiple times they offered me a credit admitting fault. They fixed it and the content was AWFUL!!! I have asked to cancel multiple times on the basis that they are not delivering what was promised. I have emailed the cancellation team, called customer service and I just keep getting the runaround. So I called the CEO and left him a voice message. I own a small business and they seem to not care at all. Now no one will call me back. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

    We had consulted about a Google Adwords campaign for several weeks. When it was getting close to implementing the campaign I requested one final meeting to discuss a few adjustments before starting. A month goes by, we got our first bill and there was never a final meeting held to shore up details of the Adwords campaign. We had unresolved issues that were just pushed through. After fighting with them about how this got pushed through without our consent we got a pause to our campaign but the $2,500 first month's bill was ransomed and we still haven't gotten resolution (a year later). We ended up hiring out Adwords management out to another media group. They seemed very eager to sell me on a service but not eager to provide the service beyond the sale.

    I was their customer for at least five to seven years, advertising for my private practice dental office, they were suppose to do a good job as far as a recommendation for search engine optimization (I found out it was at %33). I was shocked to find out that my ad was on page seventeen on Google. When I called to cancel the service, they removed my free listing from Google, they kept the free YouTube video they created for my business, attached to it, the only false negative review (unverified) from 2012. Hibu deliberately removed all the other five star reviews, which were about sixteen. The website they created for me is inactive since I requested to transfer the domain to another company, they still have the website of my office up and inactive on Google. If this matter is not resolved in a satisfactory manner as soon as possible, I may seek legal advice.

    Please make sure to record any conversation with this company! You will be happy you did. I have had a heck of a time getting Hibu to correct the error with my listing. I have an online business. No physical address which I explain the very first day the rep Andrew ** call me. He said he understands and I will be a candidate because he was on my website and he can help me to get traffic to my site. Everything sounds great so I agree to have the service because he told me if I don't like what they do to my business In 30 days to call and cancelled. I start receiving calls on my cell phone to verified my store address from Google yet and much more, just could not under what or how they get my personal number. I receive a phone call from someone wanted to purchase an item and was on the way to pick, I explain to them to I have to ship to them and politely ask how did he get my cell phone number.

    That when I found out my information was on the internet and the directory, so I enter my business name on the internet. To my surprise my home address is coming up as my business address. My cell phone number is listing as my business number and my personal email. All this is listed in the phone directory. I call them to cancel and correct this issue and they complete refuse stating am under a 12 contract. I explain to them, "No. Am still in my 30 days." They said, "No you only had 7 days." It was one lie after another. I had to file a claim with the BBB to get someone Hibu attention and do something. They refuse to list my 1800 number which makes no sense to. They are saying they have to list a local number. Finally, they agree to cancel the listing, but I check my bank account I was still charge.

    The next thing I know I have a new contract stating I agree to have them do ads listing of me and that they have voice verification. This is beyond crazy at this point. I email them to let them know I did not agree to this. Kris call me and I explain to her I did not do any voice verification for any listing. To my surprise, she spends 20 minutes on the phone trying to get me to do a voice verification to cancel ads listing. I refuse to do it. She then informs me if the ads go live I will have to pay. At this point, I told her to let me call my lawyer, and she can request to have a copy ready with me saying I wanted ads service. I have never come across a company with almost all of them telling lies. They can't accept I don't want anything to do with them.

    What makes them think I work for them? Hibu can't be serious. They are very nice when selling your service... Not so when you are trying to get away from them. They have done things they are "not supposed to do" and how is that my fault or my problem??? WTH... When you were the one lying. Think long and hard about being involved with Hibu. This is based on my personal experience only, I have a DR appointed tomorrow to deal with this stress. I have to deal with this for the past month. Shame on Hibu!!! "SHAME ON YOU."

    I can't find the phone number for the sheriff without calling 911. It isn't an emergency. You really need to have a page of commonly used phone # for police and sheriff and county courts etc. I always have trouble finding this info in your phone book.

    My name is David ** and I have been stuck with HIBU for over 30 days now. When I originally joined the company they lied to me and told me that I was going to doing a 6 months contract paying $250 per month. They promised me all these wonderful results. They also told me that they would send me an contract via email that detailed the entire program. I never received it because they told me that I had 7 days to keep the program. I called on multiple occasions and asked for the contract to no avail. I finally got it two weeks later after the 7 day cancellation period. I believe this was done on purpose. Once they finally created my account, I logged in to see if I see my contract and it was not there but it stated basic account 12 months. I was very angry and horrified because I did not agree to this.

    I called the Hibu representative (Margie **) that enrolled me in the program and I went off. I demanded to speak to her supervisor and she refused. I had to go around her and have another representative from the company contact her supervisor (Curtis **) on my behalf. He finally called me and I told him my issue. I also advised him that I had everything that I said in writing. I asked him can I send it to him and he said that he was going to investigate it and get back to me. 24 hours later he got back to me and informed me that he did see the email where I stated to Mrs. ** that based on our phone conversation that I was getting into a 6 month program. He apologized and directed me to the claims department. A claim department representative by the name of Sarah ** finally contacted me and told me that they are investigating the matter and they would get back to me within 2-3 business days. 10 days later no word at all.

    During that time frame I called multiple times left several voice message to no avail. Finally after leaving 10 voice mails and sending her multiple emails she finally responded via email and apologize and told me that the case was passed on to another person. 3 days later my account was charged $80 when apparently the first month is free. I am still in limbo and I am pretty sure they are avoiding me yet they are still marketing on my behalf against my will and the marketing is terrible. No results at all. Not one person opt-in to my website. Please avoid these guys at all cost. Their marketing is terrible and they will lock you in for 12 months and will not get you any results.

    This service has paid for every month for 4 office locations since 10/10/2017, the only problem is we haven't ever received what we paid for. The person who sold the account has not returned emails or phone calls in months. When I call in for support regarding "listings management" I'll be on hold for up to 30 min just to be hung up on. When reach out for support on Facebook, I was banned for asking a customer question, instead of getting a productive reply. Hibu is and has been in breach of contract for selling and billing for services never received.

    They just posted an ad, without my approval, in fact I didn't even see proof for this branch. I didn't know till I got the bill, and it's all wrong. I asked them to pull the ad and refund my money. No refund and I have wasted 2 days on the phone with them on hold, NO return calls, and they just billed me again. So, to date I'm out $900 on ads I never approved and that should of never posted. And NO ONE there ever returns calls or helps in any way.     I have called customer support several times to get in touch with the campaign manager and have not heard anything back from them. The sales representative mislead me by telling me contract could be cancelled if I was not satisfied. For the amount paid the amount of impressions and clicks is below expectations. I have asked to get their contract expectations over to me to no avail. The amount I am being billed is larger than I signed up for. And they refuse to end my service. And right now I am not comfortable with this situation. So I need to cancel my membership and demand the refund right now.     I have been paying a monthly fee to Hibu for several months, this is to manage our search engines and make sure our information is correct and searchable. We recently moved, and I contacted Hibu and gave them the information that needed to be changed. I contacted them again to tell them that Google was still not updated. I get an email today informing me that they do not have access to our Facebook or Google accounts. If they have been "managing" these accounts for several months, wouldn't a person already have access to them? I am questioning what in the world am I paying for? They have not been managing anything if they didn't have access to it.

    A sales rep by the name of Eileen came to my office very pushy, dishonest, and she basically falsified information regarding the services Hibu provides. I asked her numerous times if I would be able to cancel the service being that I’m a new starting small business and she repeatedly told me I can prior to the first month being billed. I called her and customer service 2 weeks after she came to my office trying to cancel the services my company never even used and that’s when I found out that I’m locked into a contract for 12 months. How is it possible that you can tell people they have to pay for a service they never used and tried to cancel weeks prior to the first month being billed. That’s insane. This is the worst company and I will be sure to warn others of this.

    I was recommended Hibu services by my beautician who said she had a good experience with Hibu. I worked with Kathy who was a very influential saleswoman. She promised me the moon and the stars. She guaranteed me a certain number of customers a month, said I would be making good money in no time, that I would have a great website, among other things.

    I signed up for the package with the marketing and website design for about $400 per month.The website that was created was decent but it wasn't worth as much as I was being charged. It looked like pretty much any other website to me. Also, Kathy changed her answer when I asked a couple weeks later "so what's the number of customers I'm guaranteed?" She replied "there is no guarantee." I sat there dumbfounded that not only did she lie, but she forgot she lied.

    A couple weeks later, when I talked to her again she said "I guarantee you 3 customers a month." So first it was a guarantee, then it wasn't, then it was again. That's when I knew I was dealing with a dishonest salesperson trying to blow smoke in my face. I became suspicious so I looked up Hibu reviews and saw that there were dozens of dissatisfied reviews and a huge feeling of regret flooded over me. I knew that I was conned and felt duped. I confided to my beautician that I was worried due to the excessive bad reviews online. She told Kathy what I said and voila! All of a sudden there are dozens of positive reviews. The icing on the cake was when I lost my job and my income and could no longer afford to keep Hibu services. I called Kathy and told her I couldn't keep it. Kathy told me she would look for grants.

    I called her 2 weeks later, still nothing. 2 weeks after that, still nothing. Finally, I said "I cant continue with these services. I'm going to have to discontinue these services." That was when she broke the news I was tied to a year long contract. She NEVER told me that the signature wasn't for my first payment, but for a 12 month contract. She purposely omitted this information to trick me into signing a contract and leave me locked in with no way out.

    Do not work with Hibu. You're better off just going to Upwork.com, hiring someone overseas, and working with someone who actually gives you a much affordable price, is actually honest, and actually knows what they're doing. Hibu will hype you up and tell you everything you want to hear just to get in your wallet. Don't fall for it. You've been warned.

    I paid for ads through Hibu and Google AdWords. Apparently Hibu funnels the clicks to a separate domain and does not allow us to review true data generated from these clicks... ie IP addresses. Hibu provides us a weekly report but this data could be false and we just have to trust them with the analysis. I have asked Hibu to provide us with AdWords account and Facebook account sign ins but they have refused to call me back. This poor service has caused a lot of distrust and I plan to cancel my account.

    I signed up for Hibu website over two years now, salesperson was nice and helpful, walked me through the process of getting my website ready to go and we ended up making changes to the design a few times. He also said that after 2 years the entire website would be redesigned without any cost to me, the YouTube video also to be redesigned without any cost. To be able to use their email service was very difficult, had to call support several times to get that thing running as promised. All this time I have no control of my website nor the social media platform such as Facebook page.

    Called them several times and still had no solution to my issues. My patience with Hibu is running out, I am about to call them to cancel my subscription. Today I spent 40 minutes with a support agent, she tried a bunch of things with no results. At last she said they will resolve this problem in 5 business days. So, I will sit and wait. If no solution is made, they will lose my business for sure.

    I was given Hibu's name by a person who knew one of the local Hibu representatives in town. The Hibu representative Leslie ** started off fantastic, she was friendly, sounded as though she knew the products inside and out and was willing to offer help whenever we needed it. I signed up for Hibu Reviews, Wave Add On, Social Standard and Display Ads. From the beginning it was very obvious that this company is HUGE and there is a lot of disconnect between departments (as in, there is no communication whatsoever), you might as well be working with different companies.

    Let's start with the display ads, we were under the impression that our display ads would be on search engines like Google because Hibu partners with them, Leslie even pointed out that this partnership is incredibly difficult to accomplish so it was a big deal. Well, your ads don't go on Google, they go on really obscure websites that throw a bunch of ads on the bottom of the screen that nobody sees or even cares about. Hibu then messed up our link so any clicks on that display ad were going to my company's main website versus my local website. This does absolutely zero good and defeats the purpose. This product is not cheap and generated ZERO leads for us. I started advertising with Google directly which generated a substantial amount of leads and costs a quarter of the price. Plus you can easily monitor everything yourself and make changes easily.

    Next, Hibu's social ads. This is paying to advertise on Facebook. We were told this would be advertisements to the side of the screen on desktops or in the feed for mobile uses that shows our banner ad that people can click on. This would then link over to our Facebook page. Again, not correct. Hibu uses another obscure tool to get referrals versus linking over to your Facebook page, we received 2 leads and both numbers associated to these leads were disconnected. They tried using their own ads which was never agreed upon because all of our advertisements have to be approved by our legal department prior to being used. I then said they needed to send me their ads so I can get them approved which they never did. Again, you can easily advertise on Facebook for a quarter of the price and have your banner ad that links over to your page. It's so easy!

    Lastly, the Hibu Reviews. This is a joke!! We were told that Hibu reviews gives you a website that you send your customer, they fill out a rating/comment then that review is pushed to Facebook, Google, Yelp, etc. False. You send your customer to this website then they have to have manually sign in (or create an account) to ALL of these platforms to write a review for each one. So, you are actually making them go through extra steps to write you a review. The best part of this is that I complained about my service then I was getting reviews on my Hibu Reviews page (that we weren't even using) giving us 5 stars from random people.

    With our business we know every single person we work with because we work with them for 30-60 days. 2 of the reviews came from a Joe **, one of which was from a Gmail account but the other was from his Hibu account. He ended up being a friend/co-worker of our account representative Leslie. This was blatant fraudulent activity to boost our reviews because we were unhappy with their service. This could be extremely damaging to our reputation in our small community and can lead to loss of business where our work ethic/integrity is the reason why our business is so successful.

    It then took over a month to get our account cancelled and I am still waiting for a refund for that time period. Also, if you want refunded for anything additional to that they want you to sign a legal document saying that Hibu did nothing wrong and you "and" your company along with its employees can never come after them for ANYTHING! It's completely insane. Hibu's employee committed fraud by falsely inflating our reviews because we were unsatisfied with their service. This employee also still has his job which is crazy.

    The point of all of this, do not use this company and definitely don't get into a contract. If a company has a service that's actually useful that people want to use you will find that contracts don't exist, you pay as you go. Even with the fraud it was still incredibly difficult to cancel the other products with the company because "no fraud" was committed on those products. Avoid this nightmare. Good luck!

I have spoken with a customer service rep who has said we have a six month contract and so now I find that we will need to get an audio file to hear the verbal contract.     Met with rep. Filled out the required forms then sign a contract only that it wouldn't be submitted until I have approved it at a later date. Both myself and the rep agreed to this verbally. We agreed that I was to call her and to submit the forms or not to submit the forms. So when it was time to call. I called contact # and no one answered and I called again and no answer. I left message that I didn't want to proceed with program and that she should delete my info from Hibu. Then I get the bill of course. I was lied to by rep. and I sign a contract under false pretenses. And still I haven't even seen anything done that was promised.

    I have tried to cancel an ad for over 2 years. Two years ago when the ad came for renewal, I decided not to renew it. Then I received an invoice in the mail and I was told that I had somehow been set up for auto-renewal without my knowledge. I ended up paying for an ad I didn't want but asked them to cancel my auto-renewal so that I wouldn't have to renew the ad. The phone rep told me she canceled it. Then 7 months ago, I called to verify that the ad had been canceled and confirmed the cancellation. Just to be sure, I emailed customer service to verify that the both the ad and auto-renewal had been canceled and received an email confirming this. Today I received an invoice for that same ad that apparently is again renewed without my knowledge. This is unacceptable.

    I have advertised in the past with yellow page ad companies including Hibu. This year 2017 I have decided not to put my ads in the local phone book. I have not received good response from this type of ads for the last couple of years. Each year Hibu will call to ask me renew my ad. In the past I renewed by phone with voice authorization and also via email when I have approved the ad content.

    This year I did not approve ANY ad from Hibu, I DID NOT receive ANY email from Hibu asking me to approve the ad content for the yellow page advertising. Today I spoke with Hibu and I could not get a word in without the rep talking over me and not once did they listen, I finally hung the phone up. The phone call was really out of line, extremely rude and poor customer service. I asked them to send any copy of my approval of the content and all they have done is sent a standard contract from last year 2016. Nothing for 2017 with my written or voice approval. I would not recommend Hibu in the future for anyone. I had hoped this would be resolved but they seem not to care. Can't believe they are still in business when treating people like this. I will update this review as this progresses.

    I have always been happy with my rep, Heather. She has always been easy to work with and has made easy connections with the website design department, changes or updates that need to be made. The only reason I didn't rate a five is when the design team chose a photo that wasn't in their "stock library" and the photographer was trying to press charges.     Our biggest issue with Hibu throughout our contract but especially at first were the ads. Their staff that writes the posts clearly does not understand the jewelry industry, and the ads were not well written and sometimes inappropriate. Fortunately, our representative, Patrick **, was able to quickly make corrections to both the pictures and written material. We asked him to use our regular Facebook posts and then boost them appropriately. I had to contact Patrick at least once a month to make corrections. We are very grateful to him, because without him, our investment would have been wasted. We were also disappointed that more people did not provide the reviews as we had hoped. We handed out the little cards, and we even stamped every customer receipt with the link information. Few people responded.
