The service that I was looking for was email, website and search engine optimization. That's what I thought I was getting but after four or five months, I come to find now that I'm not receiving the search engine optimization like I thought I was. I can go to my work and Google “security in St. Louis” but I can't find my company anywhere which I was under the impression that I would be. That's what the packaging was for. I'm getting email but email only seems to work half the time. I'm getting my website but I'm not getting that search engine optimization which makes it easier for people to find my company for what we do. The $350 a month I'm paying is a broken contract with Thryv ‘cause that was supposed to be the deal but I'm not getting all of it.

I wanted to make sure I was on the online yellow pages. Thryv sends me a bill every month and I pay it. got exactly what I wanted. I like it because they don't bother me all the time. I pay the bill and it's good and I'm online.

We did a contract for six months. I signed up with them end of January but the Coronavirus came so they started shooting in August. They wanna keep charging me. I like the idea that I can do some advertising like this but I couldn't use the ad up to now and I don't know how this ad can help me. The salesman who sold me the access to Thryv never answered my call back. They came and made a video for us to post in the ads but I didn't see the video. I told them to show it to me before we post it but I never had any access to the video. All the stuff he told me about it in the beginning, I couldn't use them up to now. I'm not satisfied at all.

I needed something that would allow me to do not only scheduling but also holding documents and CRM. Thryv's service has been valuable. It's good. Anytime I have a problem, customer service helps me get to the bottom of it. I go to whoever's available and they've been great. But I would love to see a more robust email platform like the ability to structure your emails however you want. I would also love a more robust social side like creating social posts. They post on Twitter and Facebook but they don't post to Instagram. I'm a fan of Instagram. I probably need to talk to Thryv and see if I can get more specific about what I want.

I'm doing the yellow pages with Thryv and it's been very helpful. They're very satisfactory. We own gas stations and I had to narrow down which bill went with which gas station so I contacted them for that on numerous times.

RESOLVED BEAUTIFULLY!! After having expressed my disappointment and dissatisfaction I was promptly contacted by a representative of Thryv. I cannot be more satisfied with the way they owned up to and corrected their fault. I have an immense amount of respect for this. I was contacted by a gentleman named Chris who apologized for the rogue employee who was the cause of the situation. I understand that there are bad apples that get their foot in the door at many companies and that was exactly the case here. I won't go into exactly how the situation was resolved, but I will just say that it was and this company has absolutely redeemed itself with me. Thank you so much for the class and professionalism you displayed in making sure that I, the customer, was put first. Way to go!!!

!!!BEWARE!!! I was flat out lied to by a representative of this company and Thryv has done NOTHING to right the wrong. Absolutely disgusted and will do everything I can to get the word out about the terrible ethics of this company. I was contacted by a representative of this company which I happened to be from my small hometown. I gave him an opportunity to pitch me what Thryv has to offer a small business owner like myself. Sounded great and I told him I would consider it. ****This is my issue: I clearly expressed my concern about being a new business and not wanting to be bound to a contract. The representative told me that I have 30 days that I could change my mind and get out of the 6 month contract. NOT 3 days, but 30. (They later told me 3 was the deadline when I called to cancel).
The ONLY reason I agreed to sign the 6 month contract was because I was told I have 30 days to get out. So I gave the program a shot and after 3 weeks I decided that this isn't right for me. This is something for a mid to large size business which, just 7 months in business, I am not. So I called Thryv and kindly asked to please have my services cancelled. They then told me I could not get out of the service. I tried to explain what the representative said about the 30 days and they said that isn't true and he must have misinformed me. I asked them that misinformed or lied to, they should at least honor that I was mislead and let me out.
I wasn't asking for a refund just let me out of the remaking 5 months that THEIR rep said I could do. They said too bad. REALLY!! I WAS LIED TO and this company could care less. I called my rep and asked what the hell? He asked me, "Oh is Thryv giving you a hard time? I'm sorry, but I can't help I was fired". WOW!! They hire scumbag reps that lie, get fired and leave you hanging out to dry!! And in light of all that they refuse to hold themselves accountable and right the obvious wrong. Horrible experience!!

Thryv is a very good company and everybody seems to be nice. I’m very satisfied with them. They’re helpful when I have questions. We’ve been doing fine. Thryv has helped out a lot. We have business pages set up so people could find us and the different things that we do here at the business. We have a lot of people that try to find us that way.

I have placement in the yellow pages thru Thryv and it's been very good. They're excellent and very professional. I noticed that the past two years, I've gotten a lot of new business off the yellow pages and people just go to phone book and look it up.

My representative, Jeremy, is excellent. He takes really good care of me. If I have any questions, I call him and he handles it. He's always been there so I really appreciate him. The fact that he comes in-person to deal with me if I need something is great. The main reason we use Thryv is for our telephone advertising and online presence. It's a great company but my biggest complaint is the price is too high. It shouldn’t be this expensive every month. I spend more money with Thryv a year than I do for any other of my advertising.

They put my ad in the phone book and print, and they put in a couple different sections. Also, they just hooked on my website. But I always had a billing problem with YP. I used to be in Orleans and I moved to St. Tammany, so I used to be in both telephone books, but they never combined the bill. They always sent me separate bills. The contracts written on different dates. I called and then it had been sold the DEX, and now it's sold to Thryv. It looks like Thryv is trying to combine the bills, although they send me another bill that’s separate, and it's 10 to $15. But at least the main bills are combined. It was fairly okay to speak to their representatives. They seemed to know the problem and their computer system better. At least they were able to add the functioning type part of the bill together. I've never had accomplished that with AT&T or YP or DexYP. This is the first time I've ever even got that accomplished.

If you sign up with this company expect trickery and lying and lots of bills. After talking to several account people none of them were able to get me canceled. They lie, they promise, then they trick you into signing up for another year.

The reps have been knowledgeable and friendly. Lately, I've been dealing with David. I've never had any problems with them. They are always willing to work with us. We do the ad in the phone books, which not a lot of people look at anymore. But we have a lot of elderly clients that still use those.

The customer service has been phenomenal. They are always there for me and walk me through things. They helped educate me on how to use all the element. I love the software. But I found that the money I'm putting into Thryv is not coming back. If you look at it value, it hasn't been as valuable. But then if I look at it in my personal experience of Thryv, it's been great. Because even though I'm not getting the returns from it, I still had a good experience.

I used to have social media and SEO. But now, Thryv runs the web page. They're great. Anytime I need something, they're right on it within 24 hours. They're pretty decent. Another thing I like about them is they’ll reach out to me to remind me if I have anything to update on my web page because sometimes I forget about it. So they reach out to try to maximize my web page experience for everyone else. That's awesome.

I love my rep from Thryv, Dan. He's been great to work with. He always helps me and directs me in the right direction of where I need to go for whatever problem I've ever had, which have been few and far between. So far, the customer service has been great. Thryv is a game changer for this locally owned business that had very little social media presence. Thryv helps us manage several media platforms, which has given us a bigger platform there. Then on top of that, the listing management tool has been helpful for us, because we used to be at different locations and different names. We've rebranded. Those are the two main features that helped us the most.

We have a lot of customers and other people that find and look for us on the yellow pages. Makes it easier for all to find us when looking for TV Repair. It is great to have a book where people can find us without pulling out two or three different books.

We have our website on WordPress and we were needing to update it. I researched and I found Thryv. They could take care of our website as well as our phones. They were kind of a one-stop-shop for a lot of stuff. Thryv seems like a good company to work with and their customer service has always been very good. But their service has not been as valuable as it could be. That's my fault though. I haven't always been able to do what they wanted me to do. They want me to do something and they keep checking with me on it but it's kind of a timing issue with me. My schedule is kinda crazy.

Trey, the salesman from Thryv, was awesome though the product itself wasn't great. We were with GoDaddy and they did a lot of similar things. Trying to get it over to Thryv caused us tremendous amount of grief as far as continuity and keeping everything flowing. Trey had to get involved and we've called Thryv quite a few times. We did a reduced version for a few months and we've hired a guy that's kind of internet savvy to be able to put things out on the internet as far as on the social media sites.
Thryv didn't work for our business. EZLynx which our management system, GoDaddy and Thryv didn't work well with each other. Every day we'd come in, we'd have to reset. We couldn't get on. The first hour of every day we were spending on the phone and that experience in itself was bad. If Thryv could have had somebody to smooth that process out and had somebody on it 24/7, or if we had a hot button to be able to push and say, “We're backed up again today. We can't get on and it won't communicate,” and they worked on it, it would have been good. But then that went on for weeks.

Thryv’s service brings me more leads. On a month-to-month basis, we talk about what's working best and what isn't working so that my money gets spent the best way. Brian, who is my main guy, is there for me. Then the other support people have been good as well.

Our experience with Thryv has been all right. One of the salespersons, Yvonne, came in and she knew we needed something. She knew we needed one of the products they've had. We were writing our appointments down with paper and pencils. She said, "It'd be better if you did it on the computer." Then they can text reminders. We were having a hard time getting students to remember their appointments, where this way now, they send text reminders. We had problems when we first launched it. It was like a month or so where we couldn't text, and they said we were supposed to. We have two branches. One school could do it and one couldn't. We knew it could be done. It just took a little longer than we thought.
Thryv's customer service has been good. The one issue we had took a while to fix, but they were always professional. They just couldn't figure it out. Then I finally called Yvonne. She got somebody at a higher level to get involved. Then it got fixed pretty quickly after that. Yvonne is really good. Any other questions we have, we go on the chat thing, and they pretty much help us. I would recommend Thryv if it is a service people need. It's very valuable. It's really helpful to be able to text the students and remind them.

DexYP is where we advertise our business. People can get on there and find us very easily. We've been with them for 10 years. They hooked us up and they would take our money out every month. We wanna keep that online. That's our advertisement and it's working for us. We're satisfied.

I had been a yellow pages advertiser for years since 1987 or so with my businesses. When it became DexYP and then Thryv, I wasn't interested at first. But as I learned more about Thryv, I understood it better. It was better explained to me by their rep. The learning curve for me was the real difficulty 'cause I'm 62 and not particularly adept at technology. Other than that, it has gone really well.
Another rep made me a little video about how to selectively send Google review requests She has been great and very helpful. Then ever since COVID has happened, I've been so incredibly busy that I haven't got to do everything that I really need to do. But when I've needed some help, their rep has been great. I'm a one-man show and I have one truck. My next closest competitor has 20 trucks. After that, it gets bigger. So I compete against ginormous companies. I've been doing it for a long time, so I know how to do it to an extent. But Thryv has helped me keep up with my competitor's huge budgets for technology.

I was so disgusted with the company I was with and their lack of customer service that I dropped them. Then, I picked part of the service back up with DexYP, but I left the website element out of it. I just had the other part of the advertising, the yellow pages and other stuff. Then Thryv showed up and the cost was significantly reduced from what it was with my previous company and it appeared to be better. They appeared to be better equipped to handle small business needs.
We're a really unique business and it's difficult to translate that to people that are trying to help us market it. It's hard for them to know what I need. It's really hard for me to explain. Thryv just hasn't been really attentive at dealing with what I've given them. Once the sale was made and I signed the contract, there was a flurry of activity and then everything that I needed in terms of help, I had to pull out of the walls myself.
Thryv is probably better suited for retail and wholesale rather than a consulting business. That's the way that their packages are set up. Even though there are elements that I've used that are good, if I'm having to teach the people on the other side, as I would any internet service, how my business operates so they can tell me how to use Thryv's products. I wanted a different web presence and I wanted to be able to redesign the website that I had. I wanted contacts and information. The web service was great and the people that were working the website with me were very good. They charge 100 bucks to get a logo developed. Then I'd get an email once a month and they threw a bunch of stuff on a Facebook page. I didn't ask for that and I wanted some specific things. But I haven't gotten that.
Thryv is way better than the previous company I had. But they're not quite as user friendly. Their rep talks a different language than I do. They talk to young millennial mindset vocabulary and they don't have any idea about running a business so they're just learning. They've been very nice and very cordial and somewhat attentive, but they're carrying the ball for somebody else. It's a tough business but overall, I'm not dissatisfied with Thryv. It just could be a lot better.

We're not a new business but we are in the capacity that we are. We went from just an installation to installation and sales. Thryv used to be pretty much the only system we used for estimating, tracking all of our customers, and gathering payment information. We pretty much operate our business off of Thryv and we do all of our marketing through Thryv.
I have had issues with payments posting and I get an error. Then I just now had an error with trying to duplicate something. They're obviously updating something. I love the feature where I can just message somebody and report an issue. If I'm on the phone with customers and such, I can multitask and use the message feature. I love how responsive they are. Sometimes, I feel like I'm talking to a robot because I work with this system all day, every day. But I have to step back and 'cause of how many non-computer-savvy people that I work with. Overall, Thryv has been pretty valuable in our business.

Thryv is our local phone book. I spoke to one of their reps on the phone and he was supposed to help me with keywords. He did that and I sent them a bunch of stuff. He was nice and went out of his way for me.

We've always been with DexYP and their service has been good. However, the yellow pages don't do as much anymore.

I was teaching preschool and retired at the end of August. Thryv was very profitable for me. I used them for the yellow pages and it was extremely good for my business. It was very easy advertising and I never had any problems.

We got Thryv for our website, to get people to book with us online and take the hassle out of having to call our company. This made it simpler for people. We've had quite a few people use it, but not very many. I think the more we get the word out, it's gonna be very beneficial to our company. I pretty much self-taught myself. Once I get to play with it more and our customers are using it more, it's gonna be a lot easier than having to call in. There's also a couple of chats we can use. I really like the program.

Another person was using Thryv, which was how I heard about it. I had a website before and it got old and I needed a new one. Thryv is good for my business but it’s hard to track it. I had an issue with a little lack of flexibility in some of the things with them. I need to send an email to my clients and it's confusing to be able to do that here but delivery history is something I've done before. The website is good and I like the functionality of the social media page as well as the calendar and being able to just do it that way, and schedule it. But I've since found somebody who can generate better or things that would draw people in to my website more. I need to talk again with my salesperson, Diane. I was gonna propose if they wanna compete with this company that I'm using and have me stay with them.

We're moving forward into the 21st century so Thryv is a really neat thing that kinda gives you a wide variety of information and feedback that you wouldn't even normally think of. The only place we had advertised before was in the Yellow Pages and Thryv is the first place that we've gone with. We told them to do whatever it is they do and they did. Everything's been great.

Thryv reached out to me on Yelp to manage my visitation business and I'm glad that I signed up with them. It saves me time on certain things and customer service is great and, but I haven't made any money because of Thryv yet. For the most part, it's going well. It's not self-explanatory though. It's stuff you gotta know what you're doing in going into it and you gotta put a lot of time in it and I don't always have a lot of the time that it takes to learn all their stuff.

I found Thryv online and I thought they would help me out with some stuff. They said they would, but at the end of the day, it wasn't what I was looking for. When I spoke to them at the beginning, I told them exactly what I needed because I have clients and I need to track my sessions. They were like, “Yeah, we can figure that out for you. Don't worry about it. Just give us a chance.” It took forever to get everything right at first, and they said, “Wait. We're gonna figure it out. There's so much you can do with this. We’ll help you out,” but nothing happened. I've been paying for this for five months now and it's not working for me. I've been paying so much money every single month for what? I keep asking them to cancel me and it's not working. So, it's not something that I would recommend to anybody. It’s ridiculous.

I just was surfing the internet one time, looked at Thryv, and said, "Let me see what this is about.” I saw the video and I went, “What? You can do all this and then you get a website out of it. I’ll sign up then." I wish the guy that trained me also trained me on the rest of stuff that was happening because the software would disconnect from YouTube and I don't even know that. A month went by and it wasn't posting inside of Facebook. Also, I group post and then it posts some inside music as well as ideas, but the music doesn’t play. But for the most part, my experience has been going good for me.

The people from Thryv who I've worked with have been really good. The website that they created has been really good. We do custom pools, so we've had a lot of people interested in what we’ve done with pictures that we got put on the site, and they've seen how different we can make them. However, we're a simple company so we use a standard form to do for our quotes. That's already created and then I just fill in the box block. When my sales guy comes back in, it prints out an estimate. I try creating my own with Thryv's software but it is just not user-friendly enough for me to do it. It's just too much work for it. And with Coronavirus going on and having to do home school, I'm not at the office enough to work with it. We were gonna cancel because the price has been getting too high for us, but they were able to get lower and provide more services.

We've got a lot of people down in the office and I'm trying to work it myself. It's just a little difficult sometimes when you're not too savvy with the computer. I've talked to three or four people and they were supposed to contact me back. I was trying to get a little more information. But everybody has been pretty friendly. I've used Thryv to put me on the different listings through bank and I've got a few calls here and there. But the customer that we use with invoices and estimates still wanna do it in person. So that's kinda what we still have to do and that's why we haven't used Thryv. A lot of customers don't like to use the app and they still want to do everything in paper. So I'm paying for some stuff I don't use. If I could just pay for the stuff that I am using, I'd be more than happy.

Thryv's customer service was good. The best thing is they did most of the work and all I had to do was listen. We already had the Yellow Pages and we switched. Thryv set up a Facebook page and I’m getting small work out of their service. It's helped.

We wanted to try out the service of Thryv because it was an all-in-one service. I went with them primarily because of the website development and constantly being able to change my website at the drop of a dime and have concierge service. However, for my niche, it's really not working out because I'm all online and I'm not a brick-and-mortar.
I think other services would be better. So, right now I'm primarily just using it for the website and I don't like that Thryv is putting its branding. I pay 350 a month, and it's putting a branding on my links and emails. Competitors don't do that. It needs to be changed or I'm leaving. That's how bad it is. 'Cause you don't pay that amount of money and advertise for them. That's not how it works. I would definitely not recommend them. To me, it's not worth it.

A personal friend of mine named Mark was being a good salesman and thought that Thryv would be a good fit to help our business expand. He was in the right place at the right time. I wanted an enhanced website which Thryv definitely did for us. I also wanted a better Google presence, which we have also achieved, and we're definitely getting a lot more calls for our retail business. However, our retail business isn't our focus of where we wanna be, so I feel like I'm getting a little off track in targeting retail customers which is not how we got to where we're at today. We also haven't seen any real increase in sales yet and it may have something to do with the type of business that we're in. We're a medical equipment provider that deals with the insurance companies and lawyers and Thryv seems to be a little more geared for retail. Still, it's an excellent program and there are a lot of businesses that can benefit from it.

We use Thryv's booking system, the referral, and the different emails that go out. I like the ease of the online or the text message campaign type of situations. That's about the main thing that we utilize it for. I've had a couple phone calls with them for appointments and to learn things. They're good.

One of the people that used to be at our franchise suggested to use Thryv as a CRM. In ease of management, it helped because I had the assistance of my marketing. I had the professional package and that helped as far as posts, but I did not see the return on investment that I was expecting. It’s not a program or a software issue though. I did not use it like it is meant to be used either, so it's a user end also.
I would still highly recommend it. It's a great product and they have great service. The only person who got a little testy was the next to the last phone call I had. It was a gentleman that I spoke with. He kept telling me it's set for the September 4th and I said, “So you're telling me I have to call back.” He got very flustered and started to get a little pissy with me, but everybody else has been absolutely wonderful.

A friend knew a representative in Thryv that was in the area, so then I talked to him and it seemed like it had everything I wanted. A lot of those services have to be talked through over the phone and it was nice to be able to talk to somebody and build a personal relationship with someone involved with the business. I've had a very good experience with customer service as well. The staff is knowledgeable and the responses have been quick. I'm still struggling with my management of the business, but Thryv has been the main thing that helps it function. They offer a CRM functionality and the ability to push out to various listing sites. There's a lot of stuff, and they have email marketing too.

I’m a bookkeeper, life coach and virtual assistant so I'm working with many different categories. I wanted to be able to keep up with my clients. I also have an online Bible study and I thought Thryv would be a great way where I can put all my ladies' emails and email them all at one time just to stay organized. Another thing that sold Thryv was being able to post to all my social media from one place instead of having to go to five or six different places to do the same post. For example, right now, it's automatically posting something about life coaching every three days, and I don't even have to come up with the content. I’m still starting out and just have a few clients. I'm still learning a lot of things. Right now, we just finished designing my website and I've got a few more things to do like my word content, and the lady that has been helping me with that has also been an editor before so she helps me edit it. I've had a lot of help.

We reached out to renew our yellow page ad, and the previous company merged with Thryv. The customer service was great but our first understanding ended up erroneous. When I started getting billed for our product I thought was included in the package, Thryv didn't charge us. They were great about recognizing the fact that the product had been misrepresented at the start of the process even though I questioned and questioned.
However, we're going to cancel the service. One of the reasons we went with Thryv is to help us get a website. When they got the website up which took them a long time, we already had a website in place through GoDaddy. We thought this would be a website and that it would push out some more aggressively. But what we found out instead is when you do searches, our other website would come up but not this one. What we now understand is that Google and those engines run off of algorithms. They like things that have history and have been clicked a lot, and it takes a while. So, we're gonna leave our other one in place and pull the one with Thryv down. It's too expensive. We're finding that for our rural area, we can do basically what I thought they would do for a lot less money.
For a very small business, they've been very supportive. Their outreach is phenomenal. But for our area and our business, they were pretty complicated. For someone that's doing the work and managing the business, it's too many request for interactions, too many wanting this and that. It’s too busy. It didn't do what we found we could do in other areas for a very little money. If they had a simplified package for a very small business, acknowledging that time is of the essence in a small business and you're wearing multiple hats, it would be a great product. But they're built on a scale that they are better fit for a larger business.

Thryv looked like a good program. I liked the way it could link with social media. I'm not the most technologically minded guy, so it wasn't all that easy for me. But I was beginning to learn it pretty well. Their rep from Texas did some share screens training with me. She was very good. Their customer service was fine.

I have a really good relationship with one of the businesses here locally. When they started their business, they definitely referred me to Thryv. Last year, I began my business and then I reached out to the local representative which is one of the best reps I've ever dealt with. He was always very attentive to our needs and how he was able to assist us. There was no complaint there. It's just unfortunate that we're still going through this whole pandemic thing and we're trying to stay afloat. Last week I reached out to their accounting department. Business hasn’t been pretty good right now and I needed to find out how I'm able to either cancel or freeze the account for a while because I need to start making smart decisions in the sense of expenses.
Regarding the sense of the software, it's very useful. But at the same time, it also requires quite a bit of time throughout the day, where you just stay active and stay on it. But I feel that it's a very useful tool when you have a larger staff and someone you can definitely designate that information or that software to that needs to be on top of it. So I would definitely recommend somebody that would have the employee volumes for somebody to just maintain on it, or just stay on top of the software.

At the time that my company reached out to Thryv, I was looking to generating leads for my business and I was really interested in everything else that encompassed it. For the first part of the experience, it was horrible. Things didn't turn out like they said they would. They weren't generating the leads or doing what they said they would. I was going to cancel around December or January of this year, but then I got in contact with one of the business managers there, Heather. She talked to me, looked through everything and realized that I was on the wrong program for what I needed.
With Heather's help we changed what I was on, did a new website redesign and a whole lot of other stuff. She's been very helpful in changing my perception of Thryv. For a while, things were really slow, but very recently Heather got me on this program for doing Google Ads for getting me leads. She talked me into signing a contract and within a few days or like a week or so of having those ads active, it paid for the entire contract. Thryv is very valuable. The calendar for scheduling is really easy to use. Being able to email the invoices out and the stuff that it does automatically take work off my hands. Any extra time in my day I can have is amazing.

I was approached by Jason, a rep, and he told me that he was gonna help me and he was gonna teach me how to use Thryv in order to send some stuff to my clients. But he got laid off and nobody has been training me. We've been learning little by little, and my wife has done some stuff online such as when to send information and how to do that.
The guys at Thryv do the social media and the website, which is perfect but I don't know how to use the service. They offer a lot of things and I know it’s there but it’s not easy to use. I got all my clients and I can do invoices, and I was gonna send information to my clients but I don't know how. It's frustrating. You need to know the steps in order to do the stuff that it's good for. I’m still in contact with Jason but he doesn't discuss anything about Thryv. I wish the salesman was Jason. It's better for me to show him because he's gonna answer questions and he's a real person that I can call. That'll be a lot easier and better.
Also, we got concerns that when I assign a job for a certain person, he doesn’t get it. It takes forever for him to get the information and sometimes, he doesn’t even get it at all. Thryv has been trying to help. When we call them about a concern, they answer, call and do the stuff right away. But it takes a little bit in order for us to understand how to do it and how it works. Because we may think something, but it's not the right way. And when we run into issues, we cannot get real life answers. We have to call, make an appointment or send an email. By the time they answer, we’ve forgotten about it.

Thryv only handles our website and email work for us right now. But some of their services were misrepresented by their salesperson that presented it to us, who was also our advertising print and online sales rep. We had very bad issues with her. The Thryv product in and by itself is fine. But the other issues that she sold with it were not. We had them doing our print and online advertising through the DexYP. When she came in for her visit, she said she could do it locally and it would be cheaper and better. I told her I thought we were in a contract with the National. She said, "No. No. I can override that. It'll be fine. Nothing will happen. Mine will override theirs and yours, the other National contract would be canceled." So, we went with her. But then lo and behold, we were double billed and we had a double ad print come out in our local phone book which was ridiculous. She assured me that would not happen but it did.
Thryv reported us to the credit issues that we weren't paying the bill. I didn't tell the rep, but I told the supervisor that I would not pay it because we were not supposed to be double billed and have double ads going on. But they finally reconciled that as of three weeks ago. We don't owe that anymore. But the trust and her selling the Thryv product and then the other products is gone. But right now, we're happy with the Thryv product.

The owner of Money Mailer told me about Thryv. He and the representative know each other and the Money Mailer thought it would be a good idea for me to touch base with them and see if they could help our business. Thryv has three different packages and I took the lower package for 199. It offers 20 different services such as instant text messaging to your clients, being able to send them receipts and a CRM system that holds the data that you put into it. Those were some of the services that really caught my attention to help me streamline the business. There are a few other things that I haven't used yet but I know are there.
Thryv makes us look more professional. We set the appointment and the Thryv software sends out three text messages as reminders to the client. That has been helpful. Clients have shared with me that they like that we send them reminders and all of this is being done without me having to always remember to do that. It just automatically does it so I'm very appreciative. I also have the ability to send them receipts once the services are done so, it’s good although they can only receive the receipt via email. In today's time, everybody doesn't wanna give out their emails because they're tired of getting spam mail. I would love to be able to send my clients a receipt via text and I have not been able to do that.
Also, when I first started, I used my mobile phone a lot because I'm in the field. I'm not in front of a laptop at the office so at the beginning, I was constantly calling the office asking how the service works on the mobile side. The gentleman who signed me up and the backup team that was assigned to me in case I had any questions were knowledgeable on how to operate the system from a desktop or laptop perspective but when I called in, the knowledge of the support team on how to operate the mobile device was very limited. I had to ask questions and they would have to hang up and call me back a day or two later. They always called me back and I'm very thankful for that, but they didn't know. They would tell me that they weren’t sure how that operates and they would need to find out. It sounds like more training will be needed from the mobile aspect. They got it done but it took a while.

I had another buddy that was using Thryv and was very happy. The customer service reps do a good job. We're new with them but it has helped our company. I do the web service and marketing service and we've had great results. We've had a lot more calls and wins on jobs and we’ve boosted our sales. I get a good return on my investment.

A Thryv sales rep, Maria, came over a year ago and she was amazing. I told her I was using another company and she asked when the contract would be up. I told her and she came back. I liked her enthusiasm. She offered me some good pricing. I reached out to my current website provider and it took a couple of weeks for them to even get back to me.
We gave Thryv a shot. We were looking for a new website. We offer a daily lunch menu we were looking for something we could send out via text or email as well as weekly advertising. Maria was fabulous and was always available whenever I reached out. She was always helpful and cheerful. She was always going the extra mile to help us out and see what we needed. I feel like she met our needs. I would highly recommend. It was a great working relationship. So far, we're in the preliminary stages of seeing what happens to us if Thryv has increased our business.

I have two different Thryv employees in two of the networking groups that I'm in. I was really shown some value with what some of the Thryv capabilities are that I really liked so I got it. Their rep was great. I wanted the automated follow-ups for meetings. But we didn't need the calendaring so much. The social media updates are really good. I also really like the automated announcements that we can do. That's pretty much what we use Thryv for right now. Their service is fairly valuable for our business.

My rep is awesome and the chat feature works out really well. But communication with any other person outside of those two has been difficult. There was a couple of months period where I didn't hear back from some of the design team. The person that was at the forefront of it had been out of town for a while. When I called the number to let them know, they said they would get in touch with him. So he called me personally after that customer service phone call and said, "What's going on? Did you not like what we sent you?" I told him nobody has sent me anything or spoken to me and he had no idea. There are emails with lots of people on them that he was on, but somehow, he never saw them even when he came back in town. So it's kind of bizarre that you send out an email and then a week goes by, and you send another email and another week goes by, and you do that three or four times.
In the emails that I sent following up with them that were never replied to, I suggested a lot of things like having a video chat or zoom call. I even asked what we could do to make sure we were all on the same page. But there was no reply from any of the four Thryv people that were on those emails. It was really weird. I've had an Outlook calendar and it blows your computer up. So it seems unlikely to me that nobody knew I was emailing and more likely that it was just getting passed over.
They were supposed to be providing us with a logo design, which the project completed yesterday. But it did originally start in April. If you're a marketing firm and one of the services that you offer is logo design, it might be a good idea to actually have a meeting, even if it's a virtual meeting, so that everybody is on the same page about what you're designing. But instead, it was a Gmail back and forth, trying to describe a visual concept in email, which I don't think everybody is good at. So between that as the only tool we had to communicate, plus the fact that they never replied for such a long time, it became this thing that took three months. We're a new company, so not having a secure concept logo is challenging.
As a tool, I really enjoy Thryv. I hate having to cross-reference an Excel spreadsheet with my Outlook with my Gmail calendar. So it's cool to not have to go into every single social media platform and post the same thing over and over and over again. It's cool to have all my invoices in one place. It's a great tool but maybe the wrong people are being hired.

I've been wanting a platform where I can post and complete multiple tasks from one area, Thryv has that. Once I found out about it from one of their local representatives, Tina, who is absolutely amazing and super helpful, then I decided to come on board. Their reps knew a lot about the product. Tina is super professional. She was willing to go a lot further to help than I expected from someone representing a company, and continues to be. I like the social media platforms where you can schedule posts. I also like the email marketing and the campaigns. Those are the two biggest items on my list.
I have to call in all the time because the call kept disconnecting and I keep having problems. It unlinks or I have to re-verify or something with LinkedIn and Instagram. A couple times, it completely de-links my profiles and it wouldn't post. The whole reason I got it was to post. That has been less than satisfactory. I'm only three months into it. Other than that, the customer service aspect of it has been absolutely wonderful. It's a great service and has been pretty valuable. It has saved me time and consolidated a lot of effort and headache.

I've dealt with my specific salesperson and highly responsive, very good experience. I had an administrative person from Thryv that I dealt with and they got the ball rolling. The only thing that I would like Thryv to improve on is I don't know if I'm getting full use of my entire service. I don't know if there are things that are out there that I'm not accessing. I'm new to online marketing. But what they've done to me has been successful. There has been an increase in response. I've had more people requesting quotes and setting up appointments definitely. I'm happy with the service.

I like the all-in-one that we can send the invoices and do all of our social media postings from there. Christy, who set us up, is outstanding. She came down and did a lot of the stuff with us. We have had a lot more Google hits because of Thryv. It's because Christy sat me down and explained how many times a week I should be posting, even if it's just little stupid things or whatever to make us more active on the Google search and stuff. It made a difference.
The only thing that I have a problem with is sometimes if I update something, it doesn't update our Google and stuff like it should. And then I have to call in. The other thing is deleting a post. If I do social media stuff and I do more than two posts in a day, I can't delete it as easily as if it's only one post. It goes to six because I posted on three different platforms. But after that third one, it will not let me just open and delete. But other than that, Thryv's services is definitely worth the money.

Thryv has offered every service that they use that we can use in our business. They were very good about setting everything up and about the conference calls that we had, where we were online and on board together. Thryv is not working that well for us at this point because we are currently not in full production. The only thing that Thyrv can actually do for us now is with social media. We are working on doing some more of that, although we have not done any of that in about 30 to 40 days. We're working on several of those things that we're going to actually push through and use that program for. With the kind of program that Thryv is, I can see how it would work for all businesses, whether they were small or large, depending on the amount of business that they did. It's a very helpful tool when it can be used.
Thryv's reps are outstanding. Brianna, and then Damica, were amazing. They answered all the questions and directed me. They said that if I had any more questions, they would direct me to the place on Thryv where you can go and click that little round orange button and get lots of different information from there and answers to the questions, and then there are also numbers and chat. There are so many ways to get ahold of somebody in support if I had any kinds of questions or anything that is concerning. I know how to do all of that. We've got all of our online website. That's all set up. All of our clients that we are getting are set up within Thryv. Everything was gone over. They were very good trainers. They were so thorough and amazing with everything that they did.

We wanted more marketing and Thryv had a better deal. I was able to move and consolidate everything to one instead of having YP and then the Yellow Pages. Customer service has been pretty good. We've had Thryv for a while. But it was in the middle of tax season and when all those pandemic hit, we haven't had time to really sit down and look at it all. But from what we've used of it, it's helpful because people can request appointments right then and we can get back with them.

Matthew was our sales rep and he brought Thryv to our attention. We kinda went over it with my brother. We were actually doing everything by pen and paper like our invoices and proposals. We had no way of keeping track of our customers and we had a lot of return customers. We wanted to be able to get in and just pull them up. We had no system or anything like that. Matt kinda walked us through and showed us all the cool features on Thryv as well what all we could do like linking it to our website. It was a lot more helpful for me and made my job a lot easier and faster. Matt's a good salesman. He sold Thryv to us and we're liking it. Everything seems to be running great. I'm the one that uses it as my brother has no idea what's going on or how to use it.

Laura called on my wife's business and then we talked to her. She is very, very good at what she does. It took me a while to get my list set up. There's been problems all along the way, but Thryv does try and fix them. The only one major thing that needs to be fixed is that you have to trick the system more or less to put in someone's business you're quoting. It's asking for first and last name, and the company is never relevant. It's all geared towards that. I've been back and forth with it. It was shocking to me because even normal people are looking for a quote more often from a business than they are from one person. There may be a contact there, but that contact may change jobs. They're still going to that company, and it's really odd.
I figured ways around it, and you gotta just pretend the first name is the company. But that doesn't always work. Then when you're doing multiple quotes where that company may have five locations, it won't allow you to put in the same email. But the email is the same and who you're sending to. To give multiple quotes, it automatically says, "No, you already have this email in there." But I want those in there because there's one that repeats all the time that wants a quote every few months. They seem to be responsive to what you're saying. The one guy said, "I would suggest you write it in, and it'll get to someone much easier." But it's just a lot of little things like that, which didn't surprise me. My customers are mainly the carpet cleaners and restoration companies, and they're constantly doing quotes for people. I have a hard time recommending it to those people, but I’d still recommend it to the average Joe. I like it. I got my rate down.

Initially, we were with Yellow Pages and they converted us to Thryv. Things were pretty good but then we hit the COVID thing when we were working on our company. That shut things down. Also, I've been trying to get them to change something on their dashboard and they haven't done that for me. I want to sort my clients by company name considering we're working with companies. It's a ridiculous thing to leave off and nobody's been willing to put that on the dashboard. They have a search feature but it doesn't give me everything nor does it comb through the companies we work with enough.

We've been happy with Thryv. We're in a referral network called DNI and they were referred. Their service has been valuable and worth the investment. It's a time saver plus I don't have to spend the time learning some of the technical ins and outs. I just let them do it. Their customer service is excellent. There's a lot of support, a lot of different people working on our account, and the follow-up is great. It's all in writing so I know what they're working on.

I have the website with Thryv and their programs for calendar bookings and stuff like that. It's been good so far. Especially with the website, everything is connected and people can make appointments through our website. That's what I was looking for. Also, every time I needed anything from Thryv, everyone was very responsive. They were very helpful. There are a few little things that I would improve but in general, I'm very happy.

The rep talked to me and introduced me to the software. I kinda liked it, so I went with Thryv. They provided a website too. I wasn't too happy with the software at first, but once I started getting the hang of it, it was pretty simple to use. What I like about it is it's unlimited. Whenever I wanna make any change on the website, it's done. I can make it. I can also send people emails and they can approve just by a click. The customer service is perfect. However, sometimes I have a hard time logging in and when I call the people that are gonna help me out, sometimes they won't.

I was with a different company and I didn't like it. There were issues that Thryv could answer for me that the other company could not so I switched. I have two accounts with Thryv and working with Thryv has been great. I maintain my website, and I want to do something to it but I can't figure it out. I call Thryv and they do it for me. I also do billing through them. Their customer service is wonderful. They're talking to a crazy old woman on a constant basis and that's me. As with any company, it's growing like I am. With growth comes glitches but they're willing to go beyond the call of duty in working out glitches and it doesn't take them weeks at a time to do it.

I sought out Thryv. I didn't realize they were part of DexYP. I was just looking for an invoicing system other than QuickBooks. They gave me the presentation and I was sold on it. As far as the customer service is concerned, the chat function is nice on the website. I've used that a couple of times to solve some issues. It's been a good experience every time. For what I use Thryv for, it's perfect. I don't have any problems with the way they have the site set up and the interface set up. It's all pretty understandable and straightforward for me. I like it.

I reached out to Thryv for reputation management and they've been good. We use it to post to multiple sites at once. We also do the auto announcements. When we need to post, we can post from there and it goes on Google and Facebook. That's very convenient and I haven't had any issues. We also use it to keep track of who calls over the internet and that alone is very helpful. We get at least 3 calls a day so it does pay for itself. They reached out to remind us of things which is nice. Before the 4th, they reminded us to update our hours if we were gonna close.

It was the platform to create estimates and bids that intrigued me about Thryv. There's a lot of other stuff that you can get out there that's free but with Thryv, I liked the way it was set up and I like that it had that component with the flexibility of adding some other components that other systems don't. I use their website a lot. It has helped us become a little bit more organized. The only thing is I feel like there's a lot of untapped resources in the system that I don't really have the patience to figure out. Initially, there was someone that sat down and went through everything with us. But I'm pretty busy and I don't feel like I've really learned how to use the whole system. For instance, we added a second LLC to our company which is now our main name. And I have no clue how to go in and change that on our estimates and invoices. But what I do use, I use frequently.
Also, one thing I've found difficult is when I set my system up, they helped me set it up with kind of preset descriptions of services that I can select for a customer. I can say landscaping or fence building or whatever. But I have no clue how to get in there and add more or subtract old ones that I don't use anymore. To me, that portion is not super user-friendly. I can go in and adjust the itemized things like barbed wire fence 2.25 a foot with no problem but where you go in and you select customer types, I have not been able to get in there. Other than that, I really like the way it helps us build an estimate or a bid. We can itemize things.

Being able to put a couple of our processes together, the ease of use to the website, the scheduling, and the payment portal interested me about Thryv. Our main representative was very good. But once we got things rolling, things got a little chaotic and we had to put things on hold. We started just around the time that COVID hit and for a moment, it was like I do not have time to build a new website with them. But they came back and were wonderful about it. We are running into some glitches right now, however. The email function is not working. I've been emailing our potential students and it's not going through to them. It sent me in a bit of a panic when a potential student let me know. They've been working on that for a while now but if it doesn't get fixed, I don't know what I'm gonna do with the program.

Thryv had a representative, Jennifer, who was doing our IP stuff. She brought Thryv up and at that point, we had been struggling with the marketing aspect of the business for a while so we thought we'd give it a try. We've had the service for about six months now and it seems to be working. There are a lot of things that I like about it, like the texting to our regular landline and then I get notifications on there and I can reply. I also like the Facebook posts. They're doing all our Facebook and Instagram. But then, I can still review it and then go in and change stuff that I don't particularly, like a post. I've also spoken with people there several times. I've done the training on how to do everything and I've had some complications on website changes that I needed. And I've been very happy with all of them.

We have been using Yellow Pages and Thryv bought Yellow Pages out and we went ahead and stayed with them. Thryv's reps have been pretty good. They’ve helped me out and answered all my questions. I'm pretty satisfied with them. The company does our website, and in this day of information technology, it's very vital that you have any website, and they pretty much have done a pretty good job. I'm pleased with them as far as our website and the web traffic that I see, and they report to me, so I'm pretty pleased with it.

We’re a Brinks dealer and Thryv was at a convention. I met the rep there. However, everyone that signed up at Brinks was under Brinks at one point because they were doing the billing, which made it very difficult to get ahold of them. But that has since changed. I’ve taken it away from Brinks and had gotten my own account. I’ve never had any trouble since then. I bought the whole package. I’ve got Facebook and Thryv does my website. The CRM is really nice. It keeps bids in one place. I do all of my bidding through there. I don’t use it as much as I could, but I love the website. It works well. I’m pretty happy to have a one-stop-shop and I can kinda do everything all in one place.

I love Thryv and it’s one of my favorite things. It’s one of the best decisions I made. I needed a CRM system to keep up with all of my customers and the way that Thryv has everything set up, you can customize your portal and as far as how you reach your customers. So, initially, I chose them for the design. Tyler, the guy I worked with, was a big part of it too because I liked him and he has done well for me. I have my website and I do ads with Thryv. Since the corona, they have not been doing the video but once we’re able to have people out, I’m gonna start doing the videos too. So, I do all of their services and it has done everything for me.

Thryv's customer service is very good. Patrick came into my office, and I signed up with them. I use their software for going back and forth with my customers. I put my database on there. The only thing that I am looking to do that I haven't done yet is to transfer my QuickBooks into their system. But it's not their fault, it's mine. I also do their marketing. All my marketing is through Thryv. They've been really great. Since working with them, it's much easier getting through to my customers at a touch. I can get through to my customer and talk to them and leave messages for them just by typing it in my keyboard. It's amazing. It's money well-spent, and I couldn't be more than happy.

We have Yellow Pages and when we talked with a representative from Thryv, they were able to help us out with the pricing and still have at least as much, if not better service. Their reps helped us out as much as possible, answered all our questions, and did everything they needed to do. We use Thryv for a little bit of everything when we need it and working with them has been positive. We get breakdowns on how many calls we get into what calls and it helps us track what's going on.

Our church requested to stop DEX advertising over a year ago. A bill from Thryv was received at our church this past March. After a number of phone calls, the representative we spoke to indicated our account was to be closed (again) and no balance due. Today we received a threat from a collection agency about past due bill. After calling Thryv yet again, we were told there was nothing they could do. At least the agent we spoke to indicated it was beyond his ability and apologized profusely. The yellow pages are clearly not what they used to be.

I've been with DexYP/Thryv for years. I've known about them forever. When my husband and I started our business, I had my sales rep get us set up with Thryv, the website, and everything. Everything has been great. They've helped us build the website, add pictures, get the reviews, and things like that. Yolanda is wonderful and Sherri, our sales rep, is great. We love her. She answers us right away if we have any questions. With Thryv, we definitely had leads coming in for our deck business so that's wonderful.

Thryv is a pretty good program but I haven’t really used it much. It’s just me here so I’m doing everything and I'm waiting for somebody to work at the front desk. But when I have used Thryv, it has worked. I worked with one of the reps and she helped me start it up. I have it linked to my website so people can book my appointments through the website.

Everything is going great with Thryv except I’m trying to figure out what I need to manage to make sure my reviews get responses. I put in a request yesterday because it seems like only part of our reviews are being responded to. And that’s fine, but I need to know what game I’m playing here. I was under the impression at the beginning that any review that was posted was going to be picked up with a response, and I wasn’t gonna have to worry about it. It seems like only some of them are. So, then yesterday, when I was on chat with someone, they said that it’s because only ones that go through Thryv are getting picked up. I said, “Okay, so if the customer goes straight to Google, you guys don’t answer it?” She said, “No, that’s not necessarily true either.” She said she'd get back to me on what that is. Everything that I’m using so far is really good.
We were with a major marketing firm right before we switched over to Thryv, and our rep worked with Thryv, formerly Dex, but before that, he worked with Yellow Pages. So, he’s had an established relationship with their owner for 14 years. I was ready to cancel everything last year, and I wanted to be done with our mega marketing one. I had figured out other ones that I was going to use. I sat down with our rep because he was doing Yellow Pages, and he also had to do some of the Yelp stuff. I was ready to get rid of the Yelp altogether. So, I went into the meeting ready to tell him to go away. Then I was telling him about everything and the frustrations that I was having with Yelp and with the different things, and that Yelp, for our business, was doing what it needed to do.
He started talking to me about how Yellow Pages is different. Then he started talking to me about Thryv. He gave me a demo on Thryv. He sat down and he went over everything with me. And because we were switching our website, whoever managed our website was being switched too. It was a really good trade for us especially because it gave it such a hands-on feel. So, even though we had people helping us and doing things for us and guiding us, we also could do things on our own. That was a big thing. He sold me that day, and I ended up just doing that. It’s been a really good change.

I used Dex-Yp (Thryv) to boost my listing online for search sites and phone listings. Unfortunately- they listed my phone number WRONG and listed another customer of theirs in my area. 4 months later this is STILL not fixed and I am still getting billed. I have called in repeatedly and no one will return my calls. I DO NOT recommend them at all.

I saw Thryv at a little mini trade show and spoke with them there. Then I talked to a friend of mine who uses them. I'm using it for invoicing and estimating at this point right now. The guy who set me up with the program was great. I really like him. When I called to talk to somebody during the day about some issue I had, I should have called him. But I called just their customer service number, and I wasn't super happy with that. It was just okay. The lady whom I was talking to was nice enough but just didn't tell me anything. She was telling me to delete the app, and then re-upload the app, which I did. But it didn't really seem to solve it. If she would have walked me through a little bit more at that moment, I might have been happier with the end result. But it took me like a day to figure it out. That wasn't too great. I just didn't like the way she talked.
She was fine. I was in a bad mood because I couldn't get that damn app to work and I was trying to get an invoice out to this lady at her house before I left. I told her, "Hold on." But it just would not go. I think that was just operator error, that's why I called them so they could say, "Are you doing this or that and that?" She was like, "It's working fine on my end. So, just delete it." I think it's because I'm not super versed on that app. Every time I go to it, I have to relearn it basically. But I have liked the end product. It has helped me. It's a cool little program. I recommended it to people.
My program is super simple, but it's really outdated. I wanted to switch over to something more online than this. But it could be just my old ways. If I was a first-time user and never had anything else, it might be awesome. I'd be like, "Wow, this is great." But it could have a little more user-friendly interface. It is good, but there could be a slight bit of simplicity added to it, another button to click.

We advertised with the Yellow Pages and then our rep kind of talked about switching us over to Thryv and so we did. We do the online presence with them where they do our website and the Yellow Book online. Their customer service has been pretty good. They're usually helpful but they don’t speak very great English. Sometimes it’s really hard to understand what they're saying. Also you can tell if they don’t feel like doing what you want so I’ll just call back at a later time. I’ve tried to change the format on our website but there's not a lot of different formats. I didn't know if the girl who did it was just lazy or what, but there should be better formats for people who have a retail business and sell their products online.

I worked with Thryv for an online placement and their rep Salvatore has been helping me out a lot. He is a gentleman and a great guy. He always tries to do better for us and help us in any way he can. When I call him and ask him a question, he answers right away. If he doesn't answer, he would text me that he is in a meeting and would call me back as soon as he can. We are very comfortable with him. So far, Thryv's service has been great. I've been with them for years already and I really like the service. It has worked for our new and used auto parts business. With them, we've gotten more calls.

We had been with YP and then they moved the media side of their company to Dex, and then that got moved to Thryv. We've been thrilled with what they've done for us, especially with the SEOs and the reporting. I can see exactly where everything is going, where calls are coming from and when. The customer service has been very good and everybody's been very professional and friendly. We've been very pleased with Thryv and we love it.

I was with Yellow Pages online. So, when Thryv bought them out, I wanted to upgrade my website. They had informed me that they were bought out, and there was a new system I can switch to, so I did. We do social media. I have the website through them, and they do my online marketing. I really haven’t noticed a huge difference of people coming in. A lot of people just say they found me on Google, but I do notice that my customers are really happy with the appointment service that they have, how I can set up an appointment, and the customer gets an automatic reminder. They’re able to schedule online and edit their schedule through the website. So, they like that upgraded platform feature of it, and how they can talk to me directly through their reservations. They just click a link and they can see all the details. They find that convenient.
I’m really happy with how Thryv is handling the financial situation currently with the pandemic. For me, my business is shut down. No one’s travelling and no one’s making reservations. So, I’ve called and I told them that I can’t pay that bill. They’re gonna have to cancel or downgrade. They caught me two months’ worth of service where they said that I didn’t have to pay. So, I’m instantly shocked by their generosity.
They’ve done that in the past when the platform wasn’t working correctly for several months. They couldn’t get the reminders to go out to my customers, and that was one of the reasons that I switched to them. It took a lot off of my back that I could just set up the reservation one time, and people are automatically reminded, and I don’t have to make those extra phone calls. And again, they caught me a couple months because the feature wasn’t working as it should. They’re a very generous company, and they have an excellent customer service. I’ve never gotten somebody on the phone that I didn’t like. I give them a lot of props for that.

Thryv was gonna help me get more business coming in through the lead generation and the website. Their representative was good. Unfortunately for me, I had business partner issues and we ended up pretty much shutting down that company. But it had nothing to do with them. Thryv was great.

I knew about Thryv from Gwen of Simple Social. She was a representative going through our area, doing some marketing and we had a long talk. She knows the product and was great with putting website together with Thryv. Everybody from Thryv that I talked to before when I joined were all a help. What they do together really works well. I can call them anytime if I have a question about anything and they answer it. They take care of it in no time. I'm really impressed by all the stuff that they offer as Thryv themselves, the way they check on me and wanna help with my emails and how we get more out of them. I've been sending other people to Gwen to help set up to get Thryv involved.
Thryv is doing most of the work with Gwen. They put their ideas together or Gwen runs it past them and next minute they're changing and adding to our website and coming up with ideas which I like. They suggested we do a promotion like a $20 gift card from Amazon and I like that. I want to do that, get emails because then they will follow-up with our patients and then do that little promotion. It was pretty cool. Thryv has been great overall. Our business has almost doubled, so I'm really grateful for that.

Jessie called me and I told him to give me a week and he was very consistent in trying to get to meet me, which was good because I needed somebody that was consistent. They made me a little website and it would answer my invoice. But I had a little issue with downloading photos. They have like a preset advertisements that they do but I like to do my own. For a while, it would take a whole month and I couldn’t download my photos to do my little advertising thing. But they took care of that.

We did a project for one of the representatives of Thryv at his personal residence. I saw what he had and he told me what he did. It took us a little while but we got into it and had them provide the service for us. We put pictures on our own Facebook but having a small business, you run from 6:00 in the morning till sometimes 10:00 at night. So, it’s hard for me to match up and link up with Thryv. My biggest thing is I need to get them pictures to update what we have but I don’t think just the pictures alone are gonna get us more business. In the last 14 months we’ve been with with them, we might’ve gotten three different possible leads from it as far as clients.

Thryv reached out to me and I had a good experience with their rep. I already had a website, but they did another one for me which is a little better than the one I had. They provided me a system where I could put my client's email addresses in and send out emails to them. However, if I want to run a special on Facebook, I have to set that up myself as they wanted more money to do that. Still, working with them has been a positive experience.

I got Thryv's small social media package for my catering business after they reached out to me. Their system is user-friendly but not time-friendly to set up. It takes a lot to get everything in to make it useable. It took so long to figure it out that by the time the six month of the first contract was up, I haven't seen enough of a result to want to stay with them. I also get random messages saying that Thryv has brought me business. But, it's always a wrong number. So, it's like they're trying to take credit for a sales call that isn't a real sales call as it's not relevant to my company. Still, their customer service has been great. They do great education programs.

Thryv reached out to me and their reps were professional and courteous. I went with them and they designed my new website. They host it too and I use their interface for invoices, keeping track of clients and how much those clients owe. I would let others know what Thryv is and how their system has helped me and worked pretty well for me.

I was looking for a way to manage my social media and customer relationship management software better. Thryv's customer service has been excellent. As part of their service, I get free support. They contacted me and arranged weekly meetings and helped me setup my system. One day I was up late working on a weekend and at 3 in the morning there was a human being there ready to help me, so I was very impressed. I thought I was gonna get some robocall, but no.
I could post to five different social media platforms with one post. I wouldn’t normally have the time to do that. I’m doing a post every day of the week. I posted more in April than I did the whole of 2019 because it’s so easy. So what’s happening is the more you do, the more social media you get. I’m managing my schedule efficiently. I’m able to follow up with clients. The scheduling aspect was amazing. I’m in it all day, so it’s my tool to run my business.

We use Thryv mainly to get our name out there more when people are searching on Google and things like that for our type of service that we provide. About a month ago, we reached out to them to see if there was any way that we could push back on our advertising with them just because of everything that's going on. We weren't getting any business and any type of traffic. We felt that cutting down the $1,000 that we're investing with Thryv every month was necessary at the time. But Hunter, the guy that we usually deal with, has been excellent. And then another gentleman called me last week, and every time, it has been good. They're professional. They're knowledgeable, and if they don't know the answer to your question, they definitely try to look into it and get back to us as soon as they can with an answer they didn't have in the beginning. It has been a good experience.

Thryv contacted us and explained how everything works. We decided to go with them and so far, it’s really good. The software is working perfectly. We are still having control all of my sales and bookings. But with all this stuff going on with COVID-19, my rep was fired, and I have a new rep, Eric. I didn’t care about him all this time and that’s not good 'cause I like to be spoiled sometimes. He didn’t show up yet to us to ask how is everything going or if he could help us with something. That’s my main concern right now. It’s imperative to me that not only guys from customer service contact me. I need to hear about my rep ‘cause I need to do things. If he’s gonna be my rep, at least call me once a month or send me an email or a text message. With my old rep, Jack, he was always having contact directed to me every 15 days at least.

Thryv had some features that kinda interested us. It was advertising through the market and we wanted to see how it all works. I contacted Thryv and customer service was pretty good. They were very prompt. The main technicality is working out the digital platform at this time. We’re just gonna need to understand a little bit more in regards to some of the platform feature that Thryv has. I’m in the process of working with one of the representatives who is out here. We haven’t really gotten to a full blow due to COVID. Things have been kinda pushed back a little bit. Hopefully, we can move forward a little bit and get a good return from partnering up with Thryv here. Otherwise, so far, so good.

While Thryv's website services are pretty good, their system doesn't meet our needs. I thought I was gonna be able to keep a database and be able to get information out to several different things. I thought would be able to contact people and have them do reviews. I thought I could manage Google and other things in one place. All of that is not really true. This system is all about collecting contacts. I get that for certain businesses but it's not right for us. It just muddied our system up. I can't keep up without cleaning that out and creating the database I wanted. Also, calling Thryv and trying to get them to answer my questions is a nightmare. I'm so glad that I have good customer service people whom I talk to regularly before Thryv was even invented who help me get through that.

We went with Thryv for the revamping of our website and to have everything for our business all in one place. So far, we've been having a good experience with their customer service. It has been nice having a library for our social media accounts. Plus, our website looks a lot better now. However, we're a law office and we don't do sales on our website. But then, the first thing at the top of my dashboard is sales and it's always zero. It would be better if we could customize our home dashboard when we're on the Thryv app. Also, if the user isn't too savvy, their system would be hard to operate. Still, I've been liking their service so far.

Thomas our Thryv sales rep. He kinda reached out to me a couple of times and figured that this was the appropriate time to get some more business going on like some advertisement. I've been using Thryv for leads since February this year and I know that it takes time for the software to adjust to my business. But I have been noticing an increase in the calls which is all I need. The calls to come through and the rest is on me.

I've had Thryv's service for only a couple of months before COVID hit. I can't say that I've seen an exceptional amount of growth. But I like the fact that it can post to Facebook automatically. That was pretty much the benefit because I have ERM through my company. Also, everybody in customer service was great.

Somebody stopped into the office and it was perfect timing that I was looking to switch my website stuff. I’m horrible at all this computer stuff. Right now, Thryv is handling the website. I’m also looking into doing something else with them which does like the Google stuff that moves me up the screen. I’m on two pages back so Thryv is working with me to be on page 1. I’m working on that.
Customer service has been very good. They’ve been helpful so far because I’m clueless on any of the computer stuff and they’re easy to walk me through things. They don’t get frustrated with me because I don’t understand stuff. With Thryv, people are now visiting my site whereas before they were not on my website. I’m getting people that will come to me through my site.

Everything is going well with Thryv. We’re meeting with the guy that signed us up locally. He’s coming in tomorrow so we can go over and see if we wanna make any changes or what we wanna do. There are a lot of the stuff that we use and a lot that we don’t. We're going to kinda review those things to see if we could come up with a different package. I like our rep. He’s good to work with.

I did some client campaign. I post something on Facebook, so it’s more marketing. We wanted to get more houses because we are a cleaning business and we wanted to expand our business. Thryv's reps helped me a lot. I receive a lot of calls like people offering to put me as the first business on Yelp.

The reps were pretty helpful. They sold me that as an advertising package with the yellow pages ad that I had. I had to take this Thryv program and they kinda talked me into doing it for a year. It works but I could do without it. I’m not a real computer-savvy guy. I can write up the estimate and take a picture of it and text it to somebody faster than what I can type it up on the Thryv program.

Thryv was presented to us with our advertising renewal. It is an additional service that we integrated with last year and I put my office administrator in charge of it. She’s been doing a lot more in delving into it to try to use it more so that it’s working for us. We’ve been trying to use it a lot to facilitate and coordinate our social media account. However, the service is kind of all over the place a little bit. There are so many different things and it’s a little confusing. We didn’t have an opportunity to utilize the program as we’ve really slowed down when the whole coronavirus thing happened but it could have more integration with everything. Other than that, their customer service has been good. They’re super, very easy to reach, accessible and helpful.

We were with Yellow Pages then they switched over to DexYP. We were then transferred over from DexYP to Thryv. We weren’t given a decision on the changes. But any time that I’ve ever had to call them, which is maybe twice in a number of years, it has always been good. It didn’t matter what company. It’s also good advertising so the value of the service is good.

I work with Kristen and she's local and she handles business development. The one-on-one interaction, the coaching and the guidance in regards to what's taking place with the company has been great. Thryv support has been productive. They have reached out to me when I've opened up questions and they’ve guided me. There are some things that they couldn’t really control, like Facebook’s rules. So in general, the Thryv team has been good. I haven’t been able to not resolve something that has come up.
I submitted one request in regards to the workflow. One of my clients came on board and requested a Spanish-speaking rep. I've been managing it, but at some point, I wanted him to start going directly to Thryv. Although he speaks English, there's just that additional comfort level. The reason he came to me is mainly for the fact that he wanted somebody local. I told him that I'm always gonna be here, but I let him know that this is really where Thryv can help him. I was trying to delegate so I can focus on other things. So I did the onboarding.
We never had that piece completely resolved in the sense where there's been a relationship goal and I believe that could be a missing factor as we go forward because I'm in the relationship at this point. We are competing for my client's second line of business, which is a different market. We opened in Palm Desert, which is what I'm overseeing for him using Thryv, and I showed him that if one day I'm gone, it doesn’t matter since he has Thryv and he has a system that’s been built and he owns the system. But the only thing that I was hoping would be made available to him is that Spanish-speaking rep.
Also, the initial video that was published appeared that once the domain name was picked and it was published, the video quickly came right after that, and the branding was wrong because the new logo and the new colors weren’t established yet, but the video is produced. But that was resolved. We informed them that it wasn’t the right branding, right colors, and then the new video was shut, which was great. Overall, Thryv is a great product. It helps the business centers. But it would be very beneficial if we can plug an API into credit card processing.

The Thryv reps have been excellent. The interactions that I typically have are when I have my listing that the subscription is coming due. Someone contacts me ahead of time to ask me if I have any changes, etcetera. They are always pleasant and they give me my options. This particular time was different in the sense that when they talked to me about it, I explained to them that our two daughters joined our practice and gave them a little history that they are fourth-generation, etcetera.
I didn't give any direction but I sent some graphics that I had done and they did a good job with it. They put together an ad for the Yellow Pages that I'm very proud of. That was very different from what it was before. I don't know if it's the same art department but it was a home run for me this time. I don't typically feel that way because I'm a photographer and I do my own graphics. I like to have my family and friends that I love in my graphics in my office so I have a tendency to do it myself. But this was a good ad and I liked it. Everything is good.

I ran into Amber, my sales rep, on Facebook, and she assured me that they would do a good job --I have had lots of bad experiences with website companies and the internet. She replied quickly, did a good job selling me, and it has been pretty good. It hasn’t been flawless, but it has been better than I've experienced in the past. We just began some ads -- I’ve paid for the advertising and committed to four months. The pricing is good. But being a big company, it is a little clunky. It takes, sometimes, several people to get changes made. And there was a little misunderstanding on the billing in the beginning. But, all in all, it is good.

Thryv came and found me. Madison was very friendly and she cared about my business outside of just making a sale. That was the biggest thing. She wanted to make sure that the system that Thryv offers is going to be what I needed. She kinda walked me through the different packages and different features to show me how it would drastically apply to my business. No one else has really been able to do that.
For the most part, everything is working out very well. But the social media aspect of it didn't really go as far as I'd like it to. The thing outside of the social media aspect would be the generic post and it doesn't really take into account social media marketing. It just generates the post and didn't actually do any marketing in social media. That was oversold to what it was. I feel like I am gonna get more value out of that social media component especially being able to post to all different platforms but I don't think the posts really translated as well as to getting more clients. We wanna remove some of the services. Otherwise, I pretty much like every single stuff about Thryv.

I usually do not write reviews but let me save you some money, time, aggravation and maybe let me save your business the Headaches. Do not use DEXYP or THRYV. And you will thank me. When we opened our business Patrick ** from DEXYP started calling continually saying “your business was not showing up on Google”. Being that we were a small business we did not have someone to allocate for this part of our business nonetheless we also did not have money to waste. Patrick would call and I would tell him were still setting up our storefront and that this was not our core focus at this time, and he would always suggest that he would wait 1 to 3 months and check back to see if we needed anything.
After many attempts, he finally said that I could just try it out and he would only charge me 35$. After a couple of days, he called saying he was getting a promotion that if I had any questions, I could call the office. I never heard from anyone in the business now called Thryv. Months later I notice a 35$ charge on my bank account, I call and found out it's from Dexyp. I had since forgotten about my conversation with Patrick because I was not aware that I was being charged 35$ monthly.
I immediately called Thryv and Advise them of my dissatisfaction and wanting charges to my account to stop promptly and to close my account permanently. Thinking things are resolved I get another call from Ryan ** asking about our service. He was telling me that I have a contract and I cannot cancel my account until after a 1-year period. I asked to listen to all the recorded conversation, conveniently they only had only one available listen and in the recording, it never stated that I agreed to be charged $35 monthly but still they refuse to close my account. We have done multiple attempts to close such account and stop my account from being debited monthly. They ignored everything and continue to charge us for services that we never received, that we asked to be cancelled because we never agreed on them in the first place.
They are scammers and scumbags, the worst of all! Do not use them… Stay away from them. Pretty simple, this company is a scam and does not have the well intentions of the customers at hand. They will tell you it is a one-time fee. Your account will be billed monthly. You will call them to cancel. They will promise to cancel but will ignore you. They will keep billing you. You will keep calling. Ignore. Ignore. Then you will cancel your card and change your account. Then the threat of collection will start. Then they will send you to collection. By the way, you would have received absolutely no service from them after about 1 year of being charged . SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND MONEY. DON’T USE (DEXYP) aka THRYV!

The guy contacted me and they built my website. Then, they got my logo and I'm happy with it. They have called me a few times saying, “If you need something, give us a call.” But, it has been three months since I have heard from them. If I need something, I could call them and they would add it to my bill, which I pay every month. Overall, I'm happy with the service of Thryv.

When we were getting started, there were glitches like getting together with the right people at the right time. The rep that set me up with Thryv came to one of my networking group meetings, BNI, and explained the concept of the company. It fit with the marketing plan that I was trying to set up and make better use of my website. I decided to look into it and I liked what I saw. I was looking for the website so I needed a better website that provided SEO and help with scheduled Facebook marketing as well as the ability for me to manipulate the website and handle leads efficiently without much time on my part. Thryv's system does all that well for me. Customer service has been great. They are very communicative and accessible. Whether I call in or I use the chatbox, I usually get everything that I need very quickly. Thryv is extremely valuable in our company and it has been a great experience.

We wanted to advertise our business. Thryv's rep helped us pretty well. It was easy with him. He was a nice gentleman. The price to get their advertisement is fair. Everything is working out fine with them. It’s not like we have clients that tell us that they got our number from the ads but it’s drawn something out of it.

I've been with Yellow Pages for close to 30 years on the business and it went from the real Yellow Pages to YP to DexYP. With Thryv reps, they just tell me what it's gonna be and I say okay. It's pretty simple and they're very respectful. Many people use the internet now, though. I almost didn’t even put the ads back in there this year. I thought I'd try it one more year just to see but I have no idea if it works or doesn’t work.

The doctor has been using them since they started at Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. So, he has been through the gamut. With Thryv, we did a little extra on our website. Their customer service has been good. If I have any questions, they are there. Everything that is on the platform is easy, and I’m able to figure out on my own. Everything is straightforward.

I'm happy with Thryv. I got them because of the salesman that represented them and I was glad that a company stepped in to help me. I'm now using the website. We're a wedding venue and they were advertising for us and putting up beautiful pictures of a venue, but it was not my venue. It shows a wide shot picture of a venue with an all-fabric draping and it was beautiful. I was happy and I didn’t think anything about it until a bride showed up here and said the venue was not the pictures that we had on our social media. I told her that they were posted by the website people that controlled the website and the girl was disappointed. She got upset and said that it was misleading.
She came because she thought that we offered what was in the photo and I said sorry. She got better because then she realized that it wasn’t like I was trying to false advertise. I reached out to customer service and when I called the lady, I explained it to her. I went into detail then she got it and she was nice about it. I asked them to note on my account to not put wide shot pictures showing different things of a venue because it was a misrepresentation. I told her that it was okay if they wanted to post a bride and groom or a close-up shot of something because people couldn’t tell that that wasn’t our place. It was all good.

I would rate it 0 but they won’t let me. We have had Yellow Pages since we started the business in 1999. We continued with Dex com. We have noticed they were no longer sending books and we don’t use their online stuff. We cancelled our contract in November in writing. We continue to get bills. I have made numerous calls and written emails and letters. They continue to send bills and they never resolve the issue. They continue to harass us and send us overdue notices stating they are going to send us to collection. The new company never contacted us when they took over Dex com. The only time we heard from them was when I cancelled and stopped paying the bills. If you are looking for an advertising company do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They are not worth the money or the harassment.

When we were late on a payment, the rep set it up where it was automatically taken out of our account. Our boss kept Thryv so our listings would show in the phone books. But now, that’s not near as important as it was. She keeps it so it helped show more on the Google searches.

The reps are great. I went with Thryv because it was a one-stop shop and everything is working out well. I was opening up a new business and I really needed that to get my business structured. I have an understanding of how things are working, but my level of usage for Thryv, past the setup, has been minimal. Right now, with everything being shut down, it has been a little difficult. Still, the longer our business goes, I can go back to using Thryv in managing my clients and my appointments.

I use Thryv for my barbecue cleaning service business. I have a person that I work directly with. Her name is Laura, and I love her. But when I have to call customer service, it's an awful experience because nobody speaks English and nobody knows what they're doing. That's why I just talk to Laura and she takes care of everything for me.
Recently, there was a problem with my software. When I print out my invoices, the address that comes up is wrong. I need the address on my invoice because that's how my driver knows where to go. I called Thryv to see if they could help me but nobody could. I talked to Laura but she wasn't sure. So, she called customer service, and then they wrote up a ticket, they emailed me, and then they called and I spoke to two different people. The first time the connection was really bad maybe because they're working from home now and the headset that the rep had was awful. So, I was like, "Listen, I can't even understand you." And then, somebody else called and that person hardly spoke English. That was very frustrating. But other than that, I love the software. I'm satisfied.

Our sales rep, Steve **, and I are in the same Champaign Chamber of Commerce and we met one afternoon then one thing led to another. They are now doing our website and our scheduling and we're trying to get the leads program going. I love Thryv but the Dex platform is not working for me. It doesn't respond and when I get in there, there’s no data. I'm new to the platform so I figured it might take a bit to get the kinks worked out but it has been over a week. Still, we couldn't be more happy with the customer service. We even got one of our clients on Thryv now.

An ex-parent of ours here through the pre-school sold Thryv and she talked to me about it. I liked that it was a nice way to be able to e-blast our families, so I reached out to them. It was a nice way to contact all the parents. I’m learning the program, but I find it very hard to maneuver or to get the information. Right now, we are looking at their program and we are trying to see how we can export parents’ emails, and that is hard to figure out. I wished it was a little bit easier to figure out. I contacted customer support at the beginning when we were setting it up, and I will be asking more questions when we are going to be opening back up -- we are closed because of the pandemic.

We met the representative at a networking meeting in Savannah and my employee dealt with Thryv. He was happy with them. We had them build our website and set it up. We’re still in the beginning stages though. We didn't get a chance to explore all the stuff they had to offer. With all the things that it offered to do where you could put enough information in there, we didn't get to the point where we were sending out advertisements and different things to the customer and for them to interact with us and respond back.

I’ve been a Yellow Pages user for years and ever since Dex took over the Yellow Pages, I’ve had it continuously for years. Everything has been fine. I’ve had a telephone directory listing in the Yellow Pages and when I switched to Spectrum, they put my listing wrong. I had to call back for this new Yellow Pages that’s coming out to make sure they had my name correctly in there and the customer service was fine.

I needed a way to track everything and not have to create it myself. I saw Thryv on TV and it was a perfect commercial for me because I was just getting started, I had to get a new platform. The moment I had the business, I needed to know that I was gonna be able to track everything. The service is always really great. However I ran into some issues, but I think it's cultural communication. Other than that they were just always johnny-on-the-spot, and ready to help. And the young lady was excellent. She should be given a raise and they should use her as an example for customer service. All in all, I'm satisfied with them.

I spoke to Jacob about 1 month ago, he was extremely rude, spoke down to me, and chastised me as a "** business owner, that has no idea what I am doing." He talked over me and spoke to me like a child. Today, 3/27/2020 at 2:35(ish)pm to 2:59 (ish)pm I spoke to Laura, she said her employee number is **, she was absolutely useless. Terrible customer service.
I am a business owner, and when I was sold by Kirestin **, it sounded great. However, they posted the wrong business name and was nothing like she described. I called and left several messages and emails, and never got a response. I also didn't receive bills. This service is useless, you guys couldn't even get my business name right. Come on, I can't believe that you have a business, I am sure I am not the only one that has received terrible service! Unfortunately, my business is over, and I wouldn't be surprised if their service helped me in having to close my doors. Let this be a warning, business owners of the world, don't be duped by these IDIOTS!!!

When I went to renew my annual contract with YP, I asked about something over the internet and they informed me of Thryv. We decided to try it, but I couldn't tell that it really made any difference in the area that we're in, so I decided to cancel it. My representative was nice and knowledgeable though.

Steve, the other owner, is the point person for maintaining our social media presence and he has gotten the hang of using Thryv to be able to post simultaneously on Facebook and Instagram. It was hard figuring out exactly how to do that, but we had a conference call with our rep and with somebody in tech support at Thryv and they got some bugs worked out. We’ve worked through some issues like that and the customer support has been good. Our local rep has been very responsive too. When we had an issue with getting virus alerts on our webpage and we had to get it changed to a secure website format, he was right on that and got us plugged in with tech support. They were very helpful and they got it taken care of right away, so that was excellent.
We’ve had positive responses with the platform being able to better coordinate social media presence and we’re pleased. We know there’s a lot more potential for us to make more efficient use of the platform, and once we get through some of the chaos we’re going through right now, we’ll be able to focus our attention on it. There are some other things that we really want to do and I’m confident that we’ll get the support we need. We look forward to having a little more leisure to realize some more efficiencies from the platform. I have recommended it to other merchants as well. As grotesque as the situation is now, we’re trying to regard it as an opportunity for us to demonstrate our value to the community.

Thryv took over Dex, and they contacted me to let me know that they have taken over. We have them because we wanted to get all of our information on our local phonebook and also on the web. I signed our last contract with them over a year ago, and I worked directly with the salesperson who was doing our advertising. Thryv has been great for our hospice agency. The process was easy. Prior to this last year, I was a free standing entity. And then last year, we got acquired by a corporation that has a home marketing department. And so, I was able to connect the two for the actual publication of our picture ads and then also any of our web and internet stuff to be done. So, it was seamless for me this time around.

I did a search online about some of the new POS systems that are directed more towards restaurants. Thryv had a lot of high ratings, which was why we called them. We called a couple of other people and they came down and showed us some demonstrations. The Thryv system was pretty much the most user-friendly out of the ones that we've seen and we went with them. We got the general POS, the online ordering and credit card processing. When the thing kept kind of kicking offline and called the helpline, their customer service helped us with our issue. They had to delete a bunch of stuff in our cache and after that, it has been working perfectly. All in all, we really haven't had too many problems with them.

Thryv has the Dex phonebook and Nancy, my sales rep, was advertising that, so that was why we did it. They do the website and it is nice, but we have not got to change it in two years. Overall, Thryv does not care about me. I talked to my sales rep several times, and that I was fine with. But, the people behind her don’t do anything.

To have our calls scanned, we reached out to Thryv. Everything goes through there. People can click the little widgets on our website, which helps a ton, and it shows you how many people have called. It pretty much keeps track of everything. And it is nice that you can send out those campaign type things if you want, hence the text message thing. But it’s not the easiest thing to maneuver through those campaign things. I feel like it should be a lot easier than what it is. I wouldn’t consider myself the smartest computer person but I can figure out quite a few things, and it’s a little confusing. Otherwise, Thryv’s done great for us.
The system works okay. It’s nice to see that they can put our ads and stuff out there on different websites and people can see them that way. But there's one thing that I still don’t understand. For my dentist appointments, they will send me a text message saying, “Thank you for setting up your appointment,” then they will send me a reminder. But I’ve never gone on to anything and accepted that I wanted to receive text messages. I don’t mind them. On Thryv, that’s one thing that people have to check when they go online. They actually have to sign up for it, which most people do not, so there’s absolutely no way for me to send out a text message from the get-go then they can click, “No,” and subscribe out of it if they want to after that first message.
It’s weird to me. It’s hard getting people’s emails. I have a majority of all our customers’ cellphone numbers because that’s how we contact them. I’d like to send out text messages like, “Hey, rate your trip,” or, “Hey, look forward to your upcoming trip.” But everyone has to subscribe to that first. I feel like Thryv should be able to send one first then they can opt out of it if they want to.

The customer service at Thryv is wonderful. Everyone that I've had contact with has been friendly and proactive about helping. And they do training. They also reach out to clients, which is the biggest thing. We kinda programmed the reminders in and then I don’t have to send it out. The send queues all happen automatically.

We’ve been dealing with Dex for many years and one of the guys that’s assigned to my account mentioned Thryv to me. It’s a step up, more social and having all those capabilities in one system. But I’m disappointed that I had 11,000 customers to transfer over to it and they started doing it in October or November and it’s still not right. It was all messed up when it got transferred over, so they did it a second time in December. I’m working with Bobby now to try to get it the way it should be. Our fields were so different than what they transferred it over to that I couldn’t use it. So I am a little disappointed that I’ve been paying monthly now for five months and I’ve not been able to use it. I’m not happy about that.
I’m trying to help them now. We’re having to reload them again for the third time. The guy that’s helping me now knows what he’s doing and we’re doing it a little different. I’m having to do a lot of work too once we transfer it to Excel to get it to transfer, but he’s walking me through it. But it’s a lot on my part to do too to help him and just paying for something. Thank God I didn’t cancel my other software because I needed it now, so I’m paying for that still. We’re working on 6,000 right now to correct and get sent over. We’re having to do a little bit at a time. So I don’t know how much longer it’s gonna be up. It could take at least another month.

I purchased a digital marketing package from DexYP back in 2018. Since starting with them, I paid them hundreds of dollars for no tangible benefit. They promised to increase my leads within a month or two of starting. After three months of zero new leads, I called to cancel. The cancellation completed, I thought I could just pretend I was never scammed out of hundreds of dollars. Instead, I started receiving unpaid bill notices. It was as if they never cancelled the account. After calling in, they said that I still owed money. Not sure how, since I cancelled my account over a month ago. Now almost a year later, I am receiving collections mail about my outstanding debt to this predator company. Save yourself the time and just throw a $1,000 into a paper shredder. At least then you will have some kindling to show for your effort.

We have struggled and strained to adapt to the newest, latest and greatest Only to be totally dissatisfied, helpless, NO customer support. We have been left with no choice but to move on. Don't do it. Also, check out FB "high-thryvers" for many other complaints re; LACK of customer service. Sure were around when they were pitching the software.

We've been using Thryv for almost a year. It had its ups and downs. We chose them to be able to advertise more and reach out to our clientele via mass emails versus just doing them individually. When I first did it, I had to do each one individually, which took me two days to do because we have over 1,000 clients. It was a pain in the butt.

Do not sign up with Thryv. They hold you to a contract even if you try to end service. We had Thryv for three months listed our company as stationary but were mobile, did not help any with marketing. Had wrong phone number listed, can't reach these people. They call and call and quick to respond until you sign up then they stop and help with nothing. Stay away! Big SCAM!

DexYP/Thryv conducts itself poorly and dishonest while having you signup for their service. They have you sign a service contract for 12 months while verbally telling you that you are able to cancel at any time. When you try and cancel they enforce the service contract unless you have record that the sales person told you that you could cancel. Ultimately, any company that allows their sales associates to conduct themselves in a dishonest way should (in my opinion) be avoided.

Thryv is garbage and I wouldn't recommend them to my competition. You can never get anyone from the US on the phone and quite frankly they've cost me more money than the benefit of using them. Buyer beware!

I've been in business for over 20 years and have worked with many marketing companies, it doesn't always work which is trial and error, no harm in trying. My experience with Danielle at Thryv is the first to actually make me write a negative review because I honestly do want to see every business succeed, but I totally feel like they tricked me into signing a one year contract, when I thought I was signing for a one month trial. Shame on me for not reading everything, shame on them for using this tactic to sucker clients and NOT EVEN provide any kind of valuable service. Really awful and desperate.

I thought I was buying software to serve as a client portal, where clients could get documents, register and pay for classes and also where I could manage my online presence. It was supposed to be $59 per month. When I actually got the software set up, the ONLY thing it allowed me to do was to manage online presence in dozens of arcane sites. The portal feature wasn't available and I also couldn't collect payments via even a PayPal button. When I contacted the company they said different things each time I contacted them but eventually it turned out that to get THOSE features, I'd have to "upgrade" and pay $199 per month! I said I want to cancel, and their response was "understood," however they refused to cancel and now every month I get a $59 charge for nothing (I'm not using their software at all).
I've sent them certified mail and called the bank repeatedly. Each month the charge is "temporarily removed" while the bank does more research, and then I get charged again the next month. It's beyond infuriating. Thryv has me on the hook, I'll be canceling the monthly charge every month for the coming year apparently. The salesperson was so convincing, the software sounded so great, and I think even the salesman didn't realize that he was selling me a product that the company would not be delivering, but was delivering only in part. You get your annual subscription, $59 per month and then get forced to upgrade to $199 if you want to get the thing you were sold. I will continue to fight it every month.

My company has been with Dex Media online marketing for about 4 years. I put my total trust in them and never questioned if they had my best interest in mind because they were the professionals and I had my hands full running all the other aspects of my business. About 6 months ago I hired a person to take on many of my office tasks and follow up on the areas I had been neglecting. She started getting suspicious on how our PPC was being handled.
Over the past two months we have been lied to multiple times, uncovering several discrepancies in their stories. When they discovered we weren't going to roll over and give up, they now refuse to respond to emails or phone calls. They even double billed our account last month and won't credit the amount back to our credit card. Customer Care won't even respond as they've promised. I have been spending $18,000 per year with them and couldn't be more disappointed. This is my 40th year in business and have never treated a customer so poorly.

We have used Thryv for 1 month and it has been a disaster from the beginning, importing clients still NOT resolved, Syncing with Google calendar still NOT resolved, iPad application uninstall and reinstalled still NOT resolved. We have more open tickets without resolutions. They will NOT cancel our account until June 16 and we will be getting our attorney involved because we are contracted for a service that we are NOT able to utilize.

It is a horrible company. I called them to cancel the plan with Dex YP. I received the cancellation notification. I called them 3 times to make sure that I won't be changed after the cancellation day and they promised it won't be happened. However. I still see they continue charge on my credit card. DEX Media Company is not a Trusted Company. They steal money from my credit card. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD.

I have a small family run business that Thryv began contacting last month. They grabbed the one negative review from several years ago and plastered it all over their advertising!!! I have now received 3 postcards with the negative review in big bold print on the card. This is potentially very damaging and felt a lot like black mail. I love what I do and have dedicated the last 15 years of my life to making it work. Stop attacking my business! I would never reach out to a company that employs these kind of tactics.

They will automatically renew and bill you. Make sure you read the fine print on the terms and conditions that they swear they mail you. I do not remember getting an envelope with terms and conditions myself. They did not have my full address listed, it was missing my box number at a UPS store. The same UPS store that is notorious about putting other people's stuff into wrong boxes. I called 2.5 months ago and asked when my contract was up and they stated the following month, nothing about a renewal. I called to cancel today and they have renewed me. Poor customer service skills. Obviously they knew I had planned to move on in September and failed to remind me of the auto-renewal. Not sure if that was planned or not.
Lo and behold they have offered to cut my cost in half for what I did not want. So I get to pay them for half of what I do not want instead of full price. When I brought up the fact that I have not seen a phone book delivered to me in years they stated that they deliver in certain neighborhoods now. They stated that they could send me a list of where all they deliver. I think I will take them up on that. Maybe do a little investigation into if they actually delivered to the areas they provide since I do private investigations anyway. If they missed any of the geographical areas they stated they delivered to I will file a complaint.
I will likely make sure that my entire family asks that they ship them a new phone book for packing paper and get one myself. I have a few business social media pages. I will see about polling the locals to see if they have a copy and make sure that they order one as well. I assure you I will cost more than I was worth by the time I finish. I suggest anyone in my position to do the same.

I have been a customer with Dex for four to five years. I have really never had an issue. Then this last year, I have paid the bills and really not known what I was getting. Then I called. The first young lady told me that you get digital and print. I said, I have never seen anything for either. I really have no idea what digital they do nor have I gotten a phone book. So they keep telling me very broad things that they do. Then refer me to the customer portal. I log in and my phone number is wrong. I changed it. They told me it was correct on the phone but when I looked up yellow pages.com it was wrong. On the portal it shows nothing about your advertising except how many leads that called your business.
I counter researched these names to my current phone log with no matches. You cannot see your ads that they are promoting. You have no idea what they are doing except that you are expected to pay every month. No one ever calls you or reaches out to you. They make you sign a contract. Just don't do it! Pick marketing partners that will communicate and allow you to have control over your marketing. Then choose a marketing partner that will give you full transparency. If Thryv cannot upload your marketing to be viewed by you and frequency. They are hiding something. My customer service person did say that she could request for me to see the ads. I have to request to see my ads???? Why are they not already available to me???
You do not hear the same things from the customer service people. One customer service person said I was month to month. Then he transferred me to cancel and she said I was not!!! I am so extremely upset! Lastly, if you already advertise on Google and Yelp. Save your money because what I gathered from their second rate customer service, they said they have me on yelp and google. I already advertise on these sites why would I double pay? Why would you?
