Les & Carrie have it right! STAY AWAY! It cost me $1200, and even by using the BBB I still was stuck with them hijacking my Web-site, keeping my contacts, and losing $500 of the $1200 they stole this with false advertisement and their lies. DEXYP is YP. A business that has lost it way and brick & mortar status, so they use hacking as a way of business. We can only hope the FTC will chime in as they have done with Facebook. Their management lets these Salesmen continue without any accountability. Lastly, being in Texas it's a very shameless company stealing from hardworking commission only customers. STAY AWAY is little to what I have lost and what they will do to continue their "hacking" practices in America.

Stay away from this company. Make sure you read your contract thoroughly because it doesn't benefit you. The contract covers DexYP for the crap they pull. I had to request a copy due to the fact I met with my representative and signed digitally. I have been a customer for more than 10 years with DexYP. In the last year I have had nothing but issue after issue with billing. In the beginning of 2018 DexYP withdrew double the amount of my monthly budget for my company's digital marketing. If it wasn't for me staying on top of my business bank account monthly I never would have caught it. After I discovered that double the amount was drafted out my account causing other checks to bounce and bank charge for overdraft fee, I immediately contacted them and they said they had to investigate it my claim.
Long story short it took 2 months before the extra money taken was refunded with not even apology for my extra expenses causing a financial burden. If you are to do any business with this company keep a close eye on your bank account. Lastly, due to political reasoning, Google no longer allows my industry to advertise on AdWords (pay per click) as of July 2018. I had DexYP managing the account and paying a monthly fee to do so. Well come to find out I was paying double monthly for managing the account. I found out when Google AdWords no longer allowed my industry to advertise and I contacted DexYP thinking that since I have been a long time valued customer that they would have some kind of sympathy and void the contract due to fact there was nothing to manage.
They told me that I was under contract and they would charge me half of what I paying monthly to manage my account. This is when I found out that DexYP had been charging me double of what I thought I was paying. I questioned my representative and she told me that I was sent an email of the change in charges. Yes an email. Long story short I had to pay $500.00 month for something that couldn't be managed for six months I thought.
My contract was to end November 2018 and suppose to be the last payment. I checked my account December 21 and another $500.00 was pending. I called DexYP immediately and spoke with billing and she said what I was seeing was not a payment that the payment would be prorated on December 24. Guess what $500.00 was withdrawn. Now I can't wait until the next business day to make another call to hear what they have to say. I'm sure there is some hidden reasoning for the withdrawal. Again, stay away from DexYP. Look elsewhere for your advertising needs.

Our story is much like others, we were with Yellow Pages and migrated over. We did not allow them to take over our phone number or websites at the advice of our lawyer, who saw this coming. We had a good few years with them and then the bills went much higher than the return which THANKFULLY we tracked. We decided to cancel, had several discussions with our rep who confirmed there was no auto renewal, etc., and tried to work on a better return but in the end it was the same story. We sent a cancellation notice to our rep prior to renewal, and contacted Dex. We have a letter from our rep and Dex confirming our cancellation.
When our accounting speaks with Dex they advise that "oh your contract actually ends next month" over and over. We heard that for several months and accounting paid what they stated was due at the time. This company has invoiced us for months, threatened us with legal action, collection departments, etc. We have paid the last few invoices to make the account and invoiced amount current with Dex via legal advice. Dex invoiced our accounting dept. whom doesn't handle contracts so even though the contract has been canceled, all they saw were invoices and someone who tried to send us to collections. Dex knowing invoiced and collected the monies for a canceled contract. We will not be paying anything else and will seek to have the funds they unlawfully collected from our accounting department for a canceled contract returned via legal action if needed. This at one time was a great company to work with!

We received the local phone book and noticed that we had the wrong phone number listed. All I wanted to do was to make sure that it was not listed wrong in the future or be able to change it. So I called my telephone provider so that I could verify that they had forward them the wrong information and they verified to me that they did not forward them the wrong information they had my right information. So I cal DEXyp back trying to find out where they got this information and they would not tell me so that I could make sure and get the wrong information to them. They also would not tell me if it was possible to just not have them publicize my information. I would rather have no information in the book or online rather than wrong information. I have not had a good experience DexYP in any way!

I paid for the premium package advertising, $225. Received 2 missed calls, for first month's advertising and not good. I explained to my business Advisor- Marketing Consultant, multiple times I need more calls for my money. His answer is that he will look into it. The following month I received one missed call, And nothing in over 60 days.
I've tried communicating with my Rep and nothing. I was told that I could cancel at any time however I called the main office in Bristol, TN and they said I cannot cancel unless my account is current. I now owe $450 and climbing. I've received 3 missed calls and in order to cancel I will have to pay the $450, so a total investment of $675. Does this sound like a good investment to anyone? Well my Rep is not answering his phone and this person approached me and guaranteed he could help me get lots of calls and I fell for it. Never Ever Again. The star rating will not allow me to rate it at a zero or I would, I had to choose one.

I requested via email that my subscription/contract to the services of Yellow Pages be cancelled immediately upon arrival of my communication. Not because I lacked interest but because of the inadequacies of the salesman and services given to ZVB by DEXYP. I tried in numerous occasions to contact my salesman because I was getting calls for services that I did not offer, and dogs which I did not breed. After several months of constant attempts to reach my salesperson and DEXYP I was told that the salesman was no longer with the company. During this time I never received any follow-up calls nor contact from the salesman of DEXYP. I tried calling the central offices as well, I left messages requesting assistance, insisting I get help and the necessary corrections to optimize my appearance online.
Finally after several months of trying I received an email out of the blues concerning my account and a sales manager to attend to my complaints. I explained to the gentlemen what had transpired, he then said he would try to help me and would come back to me with a resolution. When he called back he excused himself and said nothing could be done because his superior manager could not authorize a reduction of the monies owed and that he would promise to set up a new campaign moving forward. He also stated that DEXYP could not do anything with the past charges or errors of the previous salesperson because he was no longer an employee of theirs. You can only image how irate I was! Once again I proceed to request that all agreements be cancelled and that I no longer wanted anything to do with YP.

We are an old Yellow Pages customer going back 40 plus years. We continued with DexYP when it took over Yellow Pages. We tried unsuccessfully to cancel Dex 2 years ago. Nevertheless, we paid our monthly bills for that year. Last year we again informed Dex that we no longer wanted their services. The bills kept coming. This time we refused to pay. Over the past year I have tried to get Dex to provide a written statement acknowledging our cancellation. We just received the following statement from Dex "Your request to cancel was received as of 12/18/2018. This date only indicates your request to cancel and is not indicative of the actual date your product will cancel." In the meantime they turned the account over to a bill collector. We'll see them in court. If you experience a similar situation try sending a Registered Letter with a Return Receipt Requested and treasure the receipt.

For the most part, I had a good experience with DexYP. We initially had our phone books with them and then it just evolved. However, we will be moving our online services to another company. It's not for anything that they've done, but we've had pieces of it everywhere and we wanted to consolidate it. The last person I spoke to was fine. But then the woman who was "helping me" was not extremely helpful. Initially, she said that she didn't know how we could move what we needed to over to another company because we still had a contract with Dex. I said that we were willing to pay for the contract and that we just wanna move forward with the move. She said that she didn't know if she could do that and that she needed to check with someone. But then, she just left me hanging.
I called up to find out what was going on and if they had gotten the service switched over. Her remarks were that she couldn't talk to me because Jean was the contact. I then said that she didn't send me an email to which she replied that she sent it to Jean. She should have been sending everything to the company email because I'm the one who checks the company email so I didn't see anything. Though it wasn't a pleasant experience, I've talked to other people and it has been fine.

After reading some of these reviews, my suspicions about the fraudulent and corrupt activity going on throughout this company have only been strengthened. This company continues to try to rip off small business owners off who thinks they won't do anything about it. DexYP continues to say that I owe them money every month for a contract I DID NOT ACCEPT. I did NOT receive a phone call to renew a contract. I DID NOT receive a letter of notice about any new "auto-renew" process. I received absolutely NOTHING. I closed my business and contacted them to tell them my business was closed and that I did NOT want to renew my contract. They renewed it for me with absolutely NO authorization to do so. I did not consent the practice of auto-renew, nor did I accept a new contract.
Funny thing is, no matter many representatives or managers I speak to, NO ONE will give me a copy of any contract I have signed or acquiesced to accepting. They have absolutely no proof whatsoever that I signed or agreed to a new contract. Everyone says they are "going to call me back" but they never do. I'm fed up and I'm ready to press charges for illegal business practices.

DexYP's rates were reasonable, and they were very easy to deal with. Their customer service representatives have been fine. They helped us when we needed help. We had advertising with somebody else and DexYP took over. A few years ago, John decreased his ad because he was trying to retire, and it was a very easy process. DexYP was very nice about it. Whenever we needed to reach out to them, they've been fine.

We purchased a company that had an existing contract with this "company" so we had to see it through. January 2017 came around we were adamant that their services were no longer needed and to cancel our account, both in writing and in phone calls. Lo and behold months later, the account was never cancelled and we get a demand letter stating we owe 3 months worth and if we don't pay, they will send us to collections. We talk to no less than 2 "reps" who have no clue what is going on and cannot tell us anything outside of the scripted "I will have to call you right back", which never happened.
3 or 4 months ago, we finally get a response stating that our account has been closed and we can toss any further invoices. Yesterday, we received an $800 statement for past due invoices, and another demand letter threatening collections. We called today and had to leave messages for our 2 "reps". Got a callback; we are still contractually obligated to pay this ransom as our account was never actually closed. I there is ever a dishonest company, this is it. If there is ever an incompetent company, this is it. Save your $$ and run to another company. They have cost us over $2000 and have not brought in ZERO revenue.

We've been a business 40 years long and most of our business comes from word of mouth. We figured we should probably do a little bit of electronic media. DexYP reached out to me and I liked their sales pitch. We're not a big advertising kind of giant. Everybody else has to advertise to get work but we've got more work than we could do already. DexYP was more of a way for our customers to find us quicker on the phone and to give us a call if they can't remember our number. DexYP has been straightforward and they've done what we needed to have done.

I bought this product called Thryve that was called Dex Hub before. They failed to keep up with my Facebook and Twitter posts and they did not tell me G+ was being phased out and they failed to take it off my website. Several pages had 404 errors and the people I called could not fix things the right way. Very disappointing and disruptive to my business. They would not let me get out of my contract after all the complaints and threatened to send me to collections if I did not fulfill the commitment. Their SEM was so-so. I realized they were using phrase and exact match vs. modified broad, hence my CPC was very high. I moved it to a do it yourself software call Word Stream. Better result. Stay away from these guys.

We have Yellow Pages utilized by DexYP and then last year we signed up for some online services. Most of our sales are to contractors and other businesses so we don’t do a lot of the consumer off the street. Our advertising in that was not ever our main focus, which is partly why we never did a lot with it. But the main thing that we hope to get from DexYP would be to get our name in front of the people who needed our services.

DexYP does our online service that advertises our funeral home. They were part of the Yellow Pages at one time and then they changed over and we kinda left from where we were and went with DexYP when they came around. They have done a good job for us although I do not interact with it as much as I'd like to be able to because of being so busy. I do not have the time to look at who is searching which is a big turnoff for a lot of businesses. It is wonderful to advertise but when someone is hired to advertise for us, they should be taking care of the business and we should not have to be doing that. It was not the case with DexYP. If we are paying for a service, we expect them to take care of it for us.
We do not have staff here that can constantly monitor the feedback that we get online which a lot of advertising companies want us to do. We run an advertisement and leave it. We like to advertise but we really don't need to. We have been here for more than 70 years and everybody knows where we are after that time. Plus, we are the only funeral home in this particular area. Nevertheless, we are okay with the service overall.

I am very disappointed in DexYP. I have been trying to grow my business with YP for about 3 years and I always get disappointed. Last year I had a rep named Alice that never could do her job and then somehow they past me along to a guy named Josh. Story short I paid 1840 a month for leads that I never received but I had a contract with them so I paid until the end. That was year 2017. And then I found another rep year 2018 that we started a concrete company with and that started in January. They said wait 90 days for your ramp up period. We DID ok in the beginning so I signed my fence company thinking this time it was different but nope same thing.
I had 3 companies this year 2018 signed and not 1 DID anything. I have not received any leads on neither company. Finally they acted like they were doing me a favor and I requested that they cancel my roofing company and just add the money toward my concrete company. They DID but now I am paying 2000 a month for my concrete business I yet have received any leads. I have spoken to my rep and to the one in charge of my keywords and still no answers or progress. I had a fence company that never received any leads and that's because I would listen to my calls every month to see how we were doing on all 3 campaigns and would send in calls leads to them and let them know that we were not receiving any calls in months and they said I was but I would tell them how is that if I can listen to the leads each month. They are just a big scam. I do not plan to renew this contract.

I am in constant contact with our Thryv representative. We talk on the phone weekly, which is great, about ways to further the business or any problems I have. She always emails me right back. She's wonderful.
Our business has gotten more clients and people have reached out. We get phone calls through our Thryv, which means people are looking us up. So we called to cancel, and they informed us we need to cancel 3 MONTHS BEFORE the CONTRACT was due to expire, SEPT 2017, IN WRITING, BY MAIL!!!! So, since they wouldn't cancel, they have turned over to a COLLECTION agency and it's now over $1500.00. This company owes us 5 Months backpay as we DID NOT RENEW!!! This is stealing from small business owners. Thank You.

Received a call from someone at DexYP regarding an unpaid invoice. Last time anyone from YP contacted me was in 2017 for the 2017-2018 directory. The representative gave me some excuses for not reaching out to me before printing, just assuming I wanted to continue using their services. A letter was mailed to the last known address I have for the YP outlining my desire to would no longer do business with them. My reason for stopping the YP service is because I have a way of tracking where my new business comes from, not one single person has mentioned the phone book or online YP as a means to find my business. YP is an antiquated service.

The DexYP rep I talked to was very easy to deal with and helpful. He let me know other services that they had, but when I told him my situation, he queued me into what was gonna be efficient for me. I wanted the listing and I've been riding it out here for years. DexYP was easy to work with and if I needed something, I felt like I could give their rep a call and get something worked out. He was available and we could work something out.

Somebody said that DexYP was doing good with their advertising and that they use them so I gave them a shot. I’m doing internet, website and some Facebook stuff with them. I did pay-per-click advertising too that I no longer do. Their customer service was good. They check on you a lot. They’re understanding and they take time to explain stuff to you. Their services have been hit or miss though. The pay-per-click internet advertising was not good with them but the website works fine and it doesn’t crash. The experience with DexYP was good, but for me in my industry, they didn’t make a difference in bringing in more customers. But it might be different for somebody else.

I should have canceled my Yellow page listing several years ago, but kept it last year, intending to NOT RENEW. I always got a phone call (late Winter I think) from a sales rep, asking me what changes I want for my YP listing, and I intended to discontinue, as I get more than enough business from my own website. They NEVER CALLED this year, so I did in the spring, and they told me they AUTO-RENEWED my AD w/o ANY confirmation from ME! I made multiple calls, got transferred multiple times, and was told by a 'manager' that he gets the same complaint a dozen times a day! But he couldn't do anything - he said they 'notified me by mail' that I would be auto renewed if I didn't manually cancel the acct. Being on autopay, I quickly shred my monthly bill, knowing it's taken care of, and never saw any such notification.
Ridiculous and SLEAZY that they would not only DO this underhanded ploy, but that they REFUSE to cancel after the customer calls it to their attention that NO ad is WANTED. AT&T has a shady history of monopolies, 'breaking up' and reforming, and now "Yellow Pages" is a sinking ship w/ cell/mobile phones eliminating their landline market & stronghold on advertising, they changed the name of their YP to "DEXYP". Very concerning that I filed a complaint w/ Michigan's Attorney General months ago and never heard back. Scary if AT&T is that powerful.

In November of 2017 I met with Mr ** who was wanting to help advertise our Small business. I explained to him in this meeting how skeptical I was to begin with and well basically just really didn’t have the budget to do 3 or more hundred dollars a month to advertise. He assured me I should hear him out so I did. He gained my trust by telling me he was a Minister as well. He offered me a free trial for almost a year to try out their program with a monitored phone number for calls and a free print in phone book. He told me at that time that I would be contacted by him or one of his partners to discuss how I thought the service was doing and if it had helped us with Towing calls. I was never again contacted Until I kept getting calls for other Tow companies.
So I contacted them to check and make sure something wasn’t messed up. Last communication with Him or anyone at all was in December of 2017. I received a bill a few weeks ago in October 2018 for almost 600 dollars. Apparently, they took it upon themselves to go ahead with a supposed contract and print my information in the phone book - even though I never spoke to anyone or gave anyone the go ahead. Nor did I even apologize po dove the ad to be printed. Now I am bring til that I have to continue to pay for the next year for something I did not want. I was also told it was my fault because I did not call him back and that he had too many clients to contact me. So I have to pay almost 4000 dollars over the next several months. This will put my business under.
We maybe do 1 tow call a week and sometimes not even that. I have spoken to client services - they tell me to contact Mr **, I contact him and he just gives me the runaround and blames me. His supervisor won’t even call me back even though she is aware of the issue. I feel this is wrong to do to people especially small struggling businesses already. I want other people to know what they have done to me and my business. Which has been a Family business for over 50 years. We took it over when my father in law got sick to keep it going and in family. We moved the business to Washington county and have struggled greatly getting started in this area.

So as far as I'm concerned I gave $180 and they did nothing and I just called the company and they tried to sell me more and said internet changes so maybe the directories went back to the wrong way. I entered into an advertising contract with DexYP. I paid 11 of my 12 monthly payments but became suspect 1/2 way through the contract as to whether the books had been actually distributed. I contacted households in the distribution area and learned that not a single household had received the book. DexYP demanded their final payment and I approached them about this. They sent me to customer service. I reminded the person there that I had spent hundreds of thousands in the past with DexYP and that I was not pleased with distribution. They immediately referred me to fine print in the contract and pointed out that they can decide whether to distribute or not at their choice and that they can change the geographic area or whatever they feel like. They then informed me that they have a lot of attorneys so I have no option but to pay. Very frustrating. Leaving DexYP Advertising.

Not until they called asking me to renew my contract did I even remember I signed up with them. I had a conversation with the latest person "representing my account" and told her I am no longer interested in continuing my contract. As far as my contract, everything was on auto pay each month. Months later they are telling me I still owe them money plus late fees on a contract that they didn't fulfill. It would be illegal for me to bill a customer for work I didn't do. In July of 2017 I got a cold call from my Dex/YP rep to buy the latest internet package. I didn't want it. I was coerced into voice signing a contract before I had a chance to read all the details. I was told I could cancel at any time. Although I repeatedly asked for a printed detail of all the great things they promised, I never received it. There was one problem after another with this 'package' right from the start, so I cancelled it. (They even created a 2nd online listing of my personal information! Which was not part of the deal - but did have the effect of ruining my online ranking - and my business went down by 75%.) YP ignored that. I placed countless phone calls and voice messages to my rep as well as emails to get her help - ALL were ignored. They refused to cancel the contract, continued to bill me (for this cancelled contract), started harassing me with collection calls and now a collection company is harassing me - with an inflated bill.
I contacted my state Attorney Generals office for help and they got the same runaround I did. I contacted the Dept of Consumer Protection as well as filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. I will be filing this same complaint with BBB. Avoid this company. They manipulate you into contracts and won't let you cancel. Their only goal is to make themselves money - not you. Also, I was forced to give 'a star' to post this but they don't have 'no stars' as an option.

She was fantastic. We've been doing business with DexYP for so long and their services has been incredibly valuable. We used to have a lot of online and the Google that were costly. But since business isn’t really great, the owner rolled everything back to just basic ad in the phone books. However, we have four different accounts which is confusing. There are two DexYP in Louisiana and one in Texas. I don't know why DexYP isn't billing us under one invoice, but that’s my only problem. I seen there are similar reviews regarding this. We started with DEXYP/YP clicks in January of 2018. We have never seen a verified lead of sale regarding any of their actions. We were given a website to check on the stats of it and we never seen a change nor a result whether good or bad. We keep complete analytics on our site and we NEVER seen an outside lead from DEXYP. To us this did not work and we were promised the world. I believe this is a horrible clicks package and I would never recommend this to anyone in a e-commerce style business. We did reach out to our account rep about 6 months into it regarding status and content and his communication was nil, no calls, no help, and all we get is 1800.00 bills every month with no result and no help from DEX YP at all.
We were promised a resolution and an end to our contract by our account rep and now it seems he is avoiding us with every attempt at a phone call or email. He told us he would end our contract and refund a few months of the service for us. This NEVER happened and I have again yet to see any results of this so called "clicks" program he signed us up for. Horrible, horrible, horrible! We are highly dissatisfied and the BBB will know how you operate. We believe DEXYP is making money off a program that does no good for us. It's our hope other businesses will not fall for this.

Original Review: Oct. 21, 2018
Sometime in July/August 2018 I was contacted by a DexYP salesman about my webpage and he was very helpful and knowledgeable on the phone and gained my trust. He mentioned the Thryv product (I'd never heard of it) and told me if I signed up I could check it out. It was $59 a month. At the time I was trying to do the internet stuff all on my own. I had to end the conversation as I had calls coming in, but he told me he would immediately send me his direct phone number by email after we hung up and that if I had any questions about the product or how to use it to call him direct. He also said someone from the training team would be calling or emailing me within a couple of days to walk me through the software. I kept looking for an email for a couple of weeks and nothing. I didn't have his number or even the website URL to check it out.
After a couple of weeks I figured he must have lost all my info and I was never signed up. However at the end of that month I got a bill. Still no contact or information as to how to use it or log on. Two weeks prior I had found an Internet person locally to handle these things since I figured no one from Dex was contacting me. I realized I'm too busy at the time to mess with it and they dropped the ball.
I finally found a contact number after spending some time and looking at my bill and online. Called and was given the royal runaround from voicemail to voicemail that no one ever follows up on or returns calls. I did finally talk to a couple of people after several calls and days waiting for a return call from the messages I left, to sum it up, I was told they very seldom if ever cancel a contract. I have not set up or used the Thryv product besides trying to find a support number to call. So I file a BBB complaint on 9/20/18. Case # **. Guess what? Still silence. No one has responded from Dex as of 10/21/18. The BBB sent me an email to say there was no response from Dex. Thryv may be a great product and I have no complaints for that or other products DexYP has, But if you totally drop the ball and keep charging me just because you can, I'm not a happy camper.

We have been with DexYP for five years. In the last few years, they have done the website for Cornerstone Counseling for us, and also an ad in the phone book. On the whole, the reps have been nice in trying to get us situated. Sometimes, after that though, things get a little bit screwed up. Like there was a billing that happened this year. They did not tell us that they were going to be billing ahead. So, the bill was more than what we expected and with budgeting and stuff, that does affect. We did call and talk with them about that to find out what’s going on. And then, two years ago, the wrong picture was put in. The one that we were told that was gonna be put in to replace the original did not get switched. Also, when a customer wants specifics, it’s not always followed through.
The reps try to check, but sometimes, there’s different answers and different departments. So they don’t know the answer right away, and they have to check and see. In addition to that, we've had four different account managers over the years and every year it changes so there's not been anybody steady that I've dealt with over the years. And while I have the name and the phone number of the latest account manager, it doesn’t mean when I try to call, it’s gonna be of some help. So sometimes, it takes a little bit. However, the service on the whole that we’ve had, is high. It’s just the execution of the different departments that need getting straightened, as well as the follow through. Finally, the phone book used to be published in September. Now it's November and I don't think it’s utilized as much as it used to be by the people. I don't even know if it actually gets delivered to everybody.

He'd make sure that all the data that was being transmitted to search engines were all gonna be correct. Then once we're up and running, we found that the addresses and phone numbers were all wrong. They assigned us a different phone number that they could go ahead and monitor, but that’s not the phone number that goes to us. They always say the contract was mailed in October showing the renewal rates and that since I never objected to the new rates I therefore accepted the new rates. Every year I was told that they would put a note in our account that a signed contract would be needed in order to renew our contract yet every year it's the same old thing. In addition, they raised our bill by $5.
When I called YP on this I was told that it was a paperless bill fee that I was notified of in my May bill. Once again, YP is changing my rates with no notification. There was nothing in the bill. This year someone posted a review about our business that was not about our business. It was a 1 star review that was intended for another business alleging they were con-artists. When I contacted YP to remove the review I was told they would investigate. After a few weeks, they closed the claim without contacting me or removing the review.
When I called no one could tell me why it was closed and I was told to open a new claim. (Note: I have opened 5 claims since February.) When I asked for the reviewer's information so that I could contact that person directly to have the review removed I was told that was not possible. Needless to say, this was in February and I am still battling to have the review removed. I have even contacted our sales agent who never returns phone calls or e-mails. As a small business I will not continue to pay for a service that does not care about their clients.

DexYP reached out to us and they have been very accommodating when they come to have me sign or go over new contracts or areas that they service. We do prints for phone books, then they do the digital platform where I can see the analytics. It shows me the call tracking and I like that they use a unique phone number so that I’m able to track the calls. Otherwise, there is no way to tell if the phone book is actually working or not. So, that was a big selling point for us. Our sales have increased since we started doing digital marketing and 90 calls a month equate to quite a bit of sales. We’re receiving calls, I can hear the calls and it shows how long they were on the phone. Any call that is longer than two minutes is gonna turn into a sale. DexYP has been very helpful and extremely valuable for our company.

We began doing business with Supermedia in 2011. Somewhere along the line, they were bought by Dex Media/ Dex YP/ Thryv...whatever they're calling themselves these days. Clearly they make their money by complicating their billing system. They have double billed me (created 2 different accounts for our business), split their contract so that part of it runs 14 months and part of it 12 months, and generally ** it up. Luckily, I pay monthly and not by credit card, and I pay what I owe (based on my contract) and not their wacky billing. They continue to argue with me for $309.98 that they say I owe. I am a $20,000+ customer, and I am done. All this to appear in the Yellow Pages! Who really uses the phone book anyway- whether printed or online? I am too busy to deal with this nonsense. We have been with DexYP for a very long time. First, they did our Yellowbook pages, then we started using them for our website but we didn't really do much with it. Then they came in again, revamped their company, and what they did with our website was really awesome. They partnered with Google, so their technology is a lot more advanced than it used to be and now there is a lot more we can do with our website than we were able to before. They also have a lot of good options for our business for reaching to our patients. Their team that does the website are very good and whenever we called and wanted something changed or updated, their response was very quick. Jenny is our sales rep and she is very nice. She comes out, updates our contract, and makes sure that everything is in place that we need.

I purchased an ESS package from DexYP at the end of August 2018 for a 12 month contract. This was suppose to include advertising for our new business. I found my home address listed on 7 different search engines with an incorrect business name. We live in a different city than our business. It took several hours on the phone to get these listings removed. I requested that the contract be canceled because of all the issues. The advertising was for a wrong location wrong business name, and wrong phone number.
I have been told that for any changes to be made on the contract that my business advisor needs to request it. Well, never spoke to this person and left several voice mails and have not heard anything back from her. Contacted several others at DEXYP and the same story. Yesterday, one person in the dispute dept was absolutely horrible to talk to. Never had any issues like this before trying to get some resolution to this. I would not recommend this company to anyone, they are terrible. No one knows what is going on, and there is no one able to resolve the issues.

I was approached by this company who ran a check on my site finding numerous issues. We talked about them promoting my listings for $59.00 per month. This started in Dec 2017 and was a contract for a year. Random searches on other phones and PCs did not show up my listings as being promoted after the end of January 2018. I could also not get them to send receipts per month for the "services" rendered, I only ever got one for Dec/Jan. When I contacted them to find out why my listings were not being promoted I got some garbage about a 3rd party being involved and they couldn't get in! Yet they never contacted me to tell me there was an issue, just waited for me to notice and did nothing.
The 3rd party said there was no conflict with what they were doing and what this company were supposed to be doing. When I insisted on action I just got the polite runaround. I filled out the form to contact the supervisor and asked for a phone call... Nothing! For months. I stopped the payment at the bank, but the teller didn't realize it was a card payment and more monies went out to this company for doing nothing! I am very unhappy about this service and do not recommend anyone using it.

We have been trying to cancel our YPSearch program since June as it does not work! We opened a case on August 17, 2018 #11327241 and it was closed without resolution or even a phone call from YP/Dex. Our rep mis-represented the results when we signed up. In fact he really didn't give us the numbers that YP/Dex use to evaluate the performance. If there was some type of performance matrix that YP/Dex uses we should have been made aware of it and/or acknowledged it with an initial or signature on the contract.
We have a Service Specialist that has already said there is nothing else she can do to help us. She in-fact gave me my reps Regional Directors phone number and when we called it, it did not ring to a YP/Dex employee, it was a wrong number. We then called back and then was given his cell phone number, again a number that was incorrect. I wish I was making up the numbers pertaining to our performance but they come directly from adsolutons.yp.com. Since April 2018 our cost per call has quadrupled! April $116. May $187.32. June $203.31. July $296.99. August 401.23. AND per your reporting the #1 searched keyword is the name of my business. THIS IS WRONG!! Since 1/2 or more of my business is repeat and referral business I don't need YP/Dex for people to click on my name to find me. They already know who I am so I don't need to pay you!
In addition to your reports the Distribution tab appears to be incorrect and since June no one has been able to offer an explanation. This tab says that 69.1% of my search is being done on Google. If I take the numbers for the Performance Summary page on the reports is show that $14,088 since February 1, 2018 has been spent. If you look at the tab on this report is show that $5905.81 has been spent on Google. Well I don't understand the math. if we spent $14,088 and your reports state that 69.1% is on Google this equals $9734.81 however your report states $5905.81 where is the difference? So as you can see we are on the YP/Dex roller coaster with not way out. YP/Dex is going to put us our of business with their YPSearch.

They played back a recorded verbal agreement that was a man's voice with a name I have never heard of. They claim because I was listed as the contact that I am the responsible party. I asked for proof that an ad was even placed and of course they were unable to provide that due to non-payment. Asked for proof that my phone number received business calls which they were also unable to provide. So basically you can advertise for free. Just give them a false name. In a world full of identity theft this company obviously offers no consumer protection.

Back when we were looking at different options on advertising, DexYP had a lot of different coverage and options that piqued our interest to try them out. Now, we’ve been with them for at least five few years and we’ve been real happy with the service. We definitely get a good return on the advertising dollars that we’re spending, which is the biggest thing. You don’t wanna spend money on something without getting any return. We’ve had consistent good results with them over the years, which is why we’ve stayed with them.
We’ve had occasional changes done on the website and we deal with their tech team if we have any kind of issues. We deal with their customer service team for billing, which doesn’t happen very often. And they’ve always been good. They’re helpful about it. Even our sales guys are real easy to get ahold of if there’s a question and they’ve always taken care of any issues that have arisen.
DexYP is worth checking into, to see if the service is an option that they offer, something that works. They cover broad options as far as advertising so it covers all your bases. There's a little bit more of a one-stop-shop kind of feel there and it seems to be a very good set-up for a small business. Especially for a small business starting out that isn’t informed about a lot of different advertising options, they would go with the company that can handle a lot of that in-house.

We've been dealing with DexYP for years. It started out as a phone book then they got the market cornered out here well. Although there are other phone books out in this area, it seems to be the only one that I preferred to use so we stuck with it. When everything's going online and fewer people use phone books, we turned everything over and it looks like the easiest way for me to boost my online presence. Bryan, our sales rep, set us up with a drive and they're taking care of all of the Facebook including online media for us now. It seems to work well and their pricing isn't terrible for what you get. Their customer service has been very good too. They've been very accommodating and answered all my questions.

Let me start out by disclosing that this review is more of a forewarning to those who are considering using this company. I am not an angry customer but I am an extremely disappointed customer. The lack of disclosure on what I agreed to is not clearly stated. It is left up to the customer to find out what applies to you. Case in point. I went to YP.com to register my business which I had just recently started. I was going to each search engine or portal that I could think of and adding my business. Not long after adding it on YP.com I received a call from a rep from DexYP. She was very professional and courteous in her sales pitch.
From what I was hearing, I felt that using what I now know is Thryv to manage the search listings seemed beneficial. She wanted me to sign up for the $99 monthly subscription but I was reluctant to commit to that amount. She then suggested the $59 monthly subscription for which at the time I felt more comfortable with. I agreed to sign up. After a few weeks had passed I realized that like all businesses, I needed to regulate what expenses I incur. As a result I determined that my subscription to Thryv had to be cancelled. This is where the problem started.
The terms of service you agree to are separated into two categories. 1. Online signup 2. Representative assisted signup. If you go to Thryv.com and sign up for the service from there, you can have a 7 day trial for the $59 package and after that, any package you sign up for is on a month-to-month subscription term. If you have a representative contact you and talk you into signing up for any Thryv package, you are locked into a 12 month subscription term whether you like it or not. My mistake was misunderstanding the terms. I interpreted the online signup as resulting from my initial registration on YP.com. I had never heard of DexYP or Thryv before I was contacted by the rep.
I realize that there are many customers that are completely satisfied with their service. I am not one of them. It is a matter of disclosure. If the difference between being locked into a 12 month agreement and a month-to-month agreement is talking to a person, that should be disclosed. I suspect they can get more guaranteed money by not disclosing to potential customers that by signing up over the phone they are agreeing to a 12 month term. As of now, they leave it up to you to figure it out for yourself. I did try to cancel my subscription and was informed that my subscription was on a 12 month term. So now for the next year I am forced to pay for a service that I do not need nor want. Certainly not wrong. Well within their rights. Cleverly deceptive however. Caveat Emptor.

Hello Kenneth,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I'm sorry to know of any confusion regarding the sign-up of your contract for services. We'll look into your account and reach out to you with hopes of resolving.

I was contacted by a local sales agent about a listing, I declined services many times. She called another time and caught me as I was working on marketing. She said she could do a short listing for only $20. I said, "Ok, I can do that." Come to find out, after our business is listed... it’s a monthly charge!! We were a small business and didn’t want these expenses. When she said it was only $20. She never said per month. I called her after I got the statement and she told me she was sorry for the miscommunication and she would take care of it. Same happened the following month. She never resolved it. Shortly thereafter, we closed our business. I reported it to DexYP instead of the scam rep. I am now in collections for over $200 for what was supposed to be a $20 listing. These are shady business practices.
I am now working for another business owner. He has had similar issues and has been paying for an extra year because they didn’t cancel his when requested. She came in trying to get him to sign up for next year and told me it was ONLY $99. I said to her, "Flat fee or per month?" Then she sheepishly grins saying “per month” there was another lady with her selling another service who caught the whole thing. I have spoken with another person with their company and now they are requiring me to sign and notarize an affidavit stating our business is closed. No one has offered to deal with this rep and how she is misrepresenting DexYP or offering to help me. I will tell every single business owner I know about my experience and not to use their services!!

Used DexYP for a number of years. Contract expired, sent new one. Reviewed the advantages and found none, so declined. Months later get a call asking about delinquent charges only to find out in small print some clause that auto renews in 90 days if you don't renew (from 2012). Pretty crazy. Told we were renewed for 12 months (which wasn't true) only to find out it could be taken down at any time. Customer service was useless. Listen but don't hear and problems with the truth and knowledge. Probably going to collection. Not the money but the principal. Squeeze out a little extra from those who no longer want the service. So much aggravation. Never again. Beware!!

DexYP has been very helpful. The only time we talk with their customer service is when we have to renew or there are changes in their print in order to make sure that we still want our listing as it is and where it is. We have been listed over the years with Yellow Pages and the phone book, and every time the renewal comes up, the conversation we have with each other is if people are still in the Yellow Pages or not. Our staff always say that people look in the listings a little bit more than we think. If our staff says so, then those are the real people we wanna reach out to. The Yellow Pages have been helpful for those that still get their phone numbers and information from prints. DexYP has been consolidating some of their areas and they have let us know when and how that was gonna work. We appreciate the heads up before they did that. I would definitely recommend if someone was looking for it.

I call the billing dept. again, and they admit that they lost the new credit card info. Very polite people, but I resent having to spend more time on the phone to clear up THEIR mistake! Then I talked to 3 more people (supervisors and then Tyler in Resolutions Dept.). Tyler was hostile, and kept saying it was not their fault, he was completely uncare and blaming the mix-up on ME! I'm paying this co. over $800 a year for advertising, but this man can't humble himself to admit they messed up. He had a bad attitude. Where do I start with how awful this company is. They should have stuck to phone books, because they know nothing about web design, maintain, transferring or customer support. First off our company made the horrid mistake of using them to “design”, and I use that word loosely, a website for us. Not only was it badly done, but we were not allowed to edit it ourselves nor would they make changes we requested. When they would finally get around to making changes (literally almost two months later) they would either be incomplete, or not what we had asked for. We had interactive links that went nowhere and some just were not even there. I am pretty sure they use monkeys in Dockers to write their code.
When we had finally had enough we decided to change our hosting to GoDaddy and was going to maintain the website ourselves since they were obviously not capable of handling such a task. I had been in contact with our Business Advisor Heather with hopes that she could facilitate a smooth transaction with her IT people and ours. That was laughable at best. I spent almost two months trying to get our website out of their hands. Back and forth emails between Heather, myself and their URL DNS Technician, Barbara, who kept insisting that they didn’t have a lock on our account that would allow us to transfer our website to another host, despite the fact that I literally sent them screenshots where it showed them having a block on our account that would prevent transfer. It’s kind of hard to argue with something when the proof is right in front of your face right?
Well one with common sense would think so at least, but argue and deny they did the whole way through the process, parroting the same response each time despite what I was showing them. Once our IT person got it straightened out they neglected to send our website files to us, then had the audacity to tell us they owned our content since they put it together. Well I am pretty sure legally they don’t but since the website they “designed” was subpar at best, and a fifth grader with Wordpress could have done better, I decided not to waste my time with them any longer. Instead I will direct my attentions towards warning any future or potential people looking to start up a website.
Stay FAR away from these people as possible, they are a plague on the business community and have no intentions of helping you grow your business despite their well-manicured speeches their sales team pitches you. They will take your money to make a quick buck, give you a wretched out of date website and subpar customer service. It’s appalling that they are still even in business and should be ashamed of themselves preying on small companies. I also am pretty sure half of the positive reviews are fake and paid for, because every other person I have spoken to has nothing but ill words for this sorry excuse for a company.

Years ago I intentionally advertised with our local phone book. As the years went on I renewed my business advertising until I decided that I was no longer interested in growing the business any more than the customer base I had already established. I reduced my ad with them so only the business name, address & phone number appeared. Years went by & along came DexYP that took over the local phone book. To my knowledge I never renewed any contract with them however I actually paid the yearly fee for a few years as it was just another bill that came & got paid.
Finally I realized I hadn't been contacted for any renewal & they even had the listing incorrect regarding the business name & address (business had incorporated & address changed over 10 years ago), so when I received several bills I called them and spoke with someone regarding all of this. I was told they'd correct the matter & no further bills would be sent. However, the harassing phone calls have continued & now it has been turned over to a collection company. I am about to contact my attorney if this false charge continues.

Somebody from DexYP came to us and told us the services they can do and we thought we could use them. They do a website for us and do the coding. They also do a little bit of a social media stuff, like Facebook, and send out stuff on there. They made the website more professional and it's better than I would have done it, so their service is valuable enough. However, I didn't really notice a difference 'cause customers just go in, look at the website for an address or phone number, and that's pretty much it. Occasionally, we call the customer service to put some info on the website like change the hours or that we're doing a Christmas sale, and they do that. The reps we've talked to over the phone are professional, definitely friendly and knowledgeable.

When the representative contacted me for the first time not only was I a new small business owner I was 6 months pregnant. I rarely had time to speak with the gentleman who continuously called me over the next 3 months. Finally I decided to move forward after being convinced that this software and website was going to save a lot of time and take a lot of stress off of my hands. Unfortunately after my daughter was born I found myself with even less time than I had before. I never even signed into the Thryv software for the first time.
After discussing this with my husband we decided that it wasn't worth it $200 a month and decided to cancel. Little did I know I was stuck in a 12 month contract. I took for granted that The representative I spoke with had morals and an ethical standard being that he worked for a corporation. I was adamant through this entire process that I did not want to sign any contracts. I don't even sign contract for my mobile phone and I use it every day. I was assured there was nothing to worry about. In addition this was going to make my life so much easier. When I called to cancel I spoke to my representative who then forwarded me to his manager who did assured me that the cancellation was being submitted. They never mentioned that I was in a contract.
Two weeks later I noticed I'm still being charged for the software and website so I called the 1-800 number. At this time I was informed that I could not cancel because I agreed to the terms and conditions of the 12-month contract. When I asked for a copy of this recording they stated that it wasn't in the recording but they did state that I would receive my terms and condition via email. It only mentions the 12-month contract in the email. apparently they don't feel it important to mention that it's a 12-month contract prior to sending you the email or the recording. And if you don't respond within 3 days to cancel you're stuck with the software for 12 full months.
Call me old-fashioned but I tend to do business on somebody's word. This gentleman took advantage of the fact that I had very little time to even read emails or answer his phone calls. I would definitely not recommend the service or DexYP as a whole to any new company or individual. The representative continues to lie about misleading me. I have researched the reviews and I am not the first person that this is happened to. They always fail to mention the contract. I only gave them one star because I had to.

I had called to check when our advertising was due to expire as we had closed our business September 2017. After almost a year (June 2018) I called again under the assumption that the ad ended in Aug. The rep told me that NO. It auto-renewed in Jan (again for a business that closed Sept 2017). Ironically they claim to have called us to confirm, not possible as the number for the business has been shut down so there is no way they called to confirm. Then the story changed and was that we had an auto-renew contract, even though they had been told we closed and did not document it.
Then I tell them to cancel it. I am not paying for an auto-renew that I didn't authorize and did not get a call on, they say it is in the contract. I sent in all the notarized "out of business" forms months ago and now getting bills threatening me with collections. FOR AN ACCOUNT THAT THEY RENEWED. I can't get them to call back and I called last week and was told they would send a message up to get this dealt with. I sent an email this morning and if they don't respond this week I will file complaints with an attorney and the Attorney General.

Simply the ability to communicate with one message at a time. Do not be confused, their use of the word 'campaign' is not accurate. Additionally, you are required to call back to cancel (which I did and was told I had to call back because their system hasn't updated with my account information). Don't waste your time.

After more than one year, I called the support line to cancel. They said "You have a one year contract." I did NOT sign a one-year contract. I want to cancel my subscription as of July 31, 2018. Dex is the phonebook that basically everybody gets when they sign up a new, regular type phone service. It's the one that I always use and the one that most of the people I know use. They've been really good to deal with. I tried advertising in a couple of other books and they don't bring the number of phone calls that the Dex book does.
Tyler has done a lot to try and help me put together an ad for the Yellow Pages. I would tell him if I need to make a few changes, he makes the changes, and sends it back usually within a couple of hours. I'm trying to get the ad put together the way I think I want it to work and Tyler has been really good at helping. He's been great.

DexYP provides website service for our company. We're the type of business where we really don't have a lot of retail but there still has been a difference having the service. We have a good relationship with them and our interactions with the representatives have been great. They're a little bit pricey, but we've been satisfied with them.

For your own sake, stay as far away from DexYP as you can. This business is a scam with a complete lack of ethics. I purchased a business that had signed a marketing agreement with DexYP. Upon taking over the business, I immediately notified DexYP that I would not continue working with DexYP. As requested by DexYP, I filled out their form documenting that I was not financially responsible for anything related to the former owner of my business. DexYP acknowledged that I filled out the correct form and they transferred ownership of the website to me. 13 months later I am getting collections notices and calls from DexYP despite the fact that I properly ended the contract and I have NEVER signed any agreement for their services. What kind of company does that??? Seriously, you are definitely throwing your money and setting yourself up for a lot of anger and frustration if you decide to have anything to do with this company.

We have been with Dex since 2012 and have had some problems with them along the way but for the last year I cannot get them to update my Google Map page among other problems. I called them numerous times. They would say yes they can fix it but never do, also their Thryv product is a joke at this point. At first they gave me a campaign manager so I had 1 point of contact for all the online products then they switched me to a different campaign manager who I left messages and got no response. After that they tried to say I will no longer have a campaign manager and so I call the number and someone in another country picks up. They can barely speak English say they will help you then hang up on you.
Finally my local rep said he will get me a campaign manager again but never did. They say whatever it takes get you to renew but in the end the BAD service continues. In the last 6 years we have spend approximately $60,000 with Dex but this is the end. I have contacted Cliff ** numerous times. He always says they will fix it or he will call you right back but he never follows through. So after 6 years I would recommend to stay away from Dex.

Any concerns that I've had has been addressed by DexYP's reps. If I have articles that I want put up on Facebook or a newsletter article put on my website, they take care of that for me. Also, they called and suggested that we put a video on there. They came out and shot that. And that has been effective. Their service has helped increase my business. I get calls just off from internet searches fairly regularly. If someone was interested in that service, I would tell them that DexYP is effective.

Our company already had DexYP before I came along, and now I follow it up since I came on board. We were in need of someone to manage our website. We're a small world and Facebook is a good page to have and it was all I was interested in. A lot of people say that they see our site and it looks good. I speak to a girl named Morgan who is my contact for things that I need and questions that I have. Prior to the switch, she was easier to get a hold of and more responsive. So, there seemed to have been a change. I can't really get anybody on the phone anymore. But since we also got everything up and going, I haven't been quite as needy and I tend to try to reach out via email. All in all, DexYP is decent for what they charge and I would refer them.

Dan, a sales rep, got us started with DexYP. He came in to the store and introduced us. This was three years ago when we recently opened up this location and we needed help with our website. I wasn’t looking for anything. And when Dan came in and explained what Dex was all about and what they could do for us, we needed to have some help with our website.
We needed help with generating clientele watching in the door that was actually looking at an iPhone that was getting information. We would pop up if they Googled contemporary furniture, Orange County contemporary furniture, Laguna Beach, or Newport. And at first, it took a while for us to get to where we’re generated on the first page. And as time went on with the help of DexYP, they helped us implement it so that we now are generically on the front page all the time ‘cause Google now recognized us. We paid fairly dearly for that in the very beginning. We went from an SEO to an SEM or vice versa. We started out with one where we paid for clicks then we scaled down. Once we get generically set up with Google, we didn’t have to put the money into it as much anymore. I was very happy with it.
I would recommend DexYP especially if it’s a newer company who does not have a web presence. If you were any company, that would be important for you to be able to get yourself out in more of a media rather than ink ‘cause ink these days doesn’t draw the clientele, especially younger ones. You would draw the older clientele still, but not the younger.

Thryv REALLY needs to offer a trial period – it took < 12 hours for us to determine that their system wouldn't cut it for us. Even on their highest plan of services, the features are very limited and missing basic things – for example, what they refer to as a CRM is closer to an contact database than any CRM I have experienced. They give you a 72 hour cancellation window so if you sign up on a Thursday, make sure you stay up until 2am to really take a deep dive – otherwise you're in for a 12 month commitment for overpriced nonsense. There are better alternatives at this price point.

Anytime I had doubts, they would sit down and explain it to me. They would show me where everything came from and where it was going. Furthermore, my website manager checks with me every month and makes sure that I understand everything.
Having DexYP has been great. A lot of parents would come in because they've seen our website and because it's very interactive. Still, DexYP's team has been very kind to say that if those things are above our level of technology, then we could just send them the stuff and they could put it on our site for us. We got hold of everybody all the time and they’ve not any issues there at all, except for once where we had to call a couple of times. We haven't had them call back immediately, but just that one time. The only downside we have with DexYP is that it’s a little expensive. Still, their service has been valuable to the company. Some of my interaction with the customer service team went okay while there are some of them where I’m still standing and scratching my head. They usually send us a bill then we mail them the payment. But for some reason, they are sending us two bills. One bill is for $200 a month and the other one is a $25 bill. Why don’t they combine those all into one and send one bill like they used to? Other than that, our experience has been good.

I signed up initially on 2/7/18 for what the rep informed me was a presence program. I was told I was getting a 50% discount. It turned out the program was useless. I called, texted and emailed and no response. When I called to cancel they assigned a new rep, gave me a different program and assured me it would work. I gave them my business credit card for the new amount of $240.00. This was another useless program, everything they promised in writing was not done.
Then they charge my credit card $340.00 twice in 1 day without authorization. I sent Koree over 15 emails, screenshots of the text messages and her solution was to refund me $200.00. I am a small cleaning business and what DexYP did was the equivalent of me charging someone for cleaning and then not provide the service. How can the company justify charging a card I did not authorize when I signed the 2nd agreement. The calls are recorded and Koree is fully aware that I gave my business credit card and not my personal.

We used the old Dex text service and while there was also a huge issue with Dex (lost my entire text list when they changed providers) the old interface was simple, straightforward and reliable and the pricing was great! Thryv's platform tries to be everything to everyone and is a terrible option for those wanting to send text messages. The creation page is awful - multiple sections - the delivery is slow and erratic (sent a text at 3:30pm and wasn't delivered until 3am - and then delivered twice!) and the general premise behind the platform is flawed (companies don't send the same type of content via text as they do via email). I don't use the email program but if it's anything like the text delivery - I'm sure it's filled with bugs. My recommendation is to find a company that specializes in either text or email because this all in one is nothing but trouble!

I am trying to cancel our contract. The office kept giving me the run around. After I finally spoke to Kyle ** in resolution I was informed that if I want a copy of the contract I need a court order. How can someone follow the rules of a contract and not get a copy to know what the rules are? How do I know that is my contract date? I was told I was sent out a letter to review the advertising content however I never received that. I have been here for 2 years and I haven't seen one yet. Unbelievably my contract renews in July, but I have to give 30 days notice, and I missed it by 28 days. This contract was supposedly in place in 2010. DexYP has a reputation that made us end up with having their service. We've been using them for years and my contact person is great. However, the changes are terrible. About two months ago, they started to keep adding and changing different things that are not working on this end and they're not able to fix them. And I'm not the only one that's complaining about them either. They haven't handled it yet and their customer service is waiting to get answers from their managers.
Now, I don't know where some of the calls or my leads are coming from. So DexYP needs to stop changing programs. When it's working perfectly fine, there's no need to be adding items that nobody is asking for that are causing more confusion than good. They need to figure out all these issues that everybody has been having and get them fixed so that we can run our businesses. And if you're considering DexYP, be cautious on what products you'll be getting because sometimes they're not worth it right now. Some are good, some are not.

I signed my company, **, up for digital advertising with YP originally and then DEX bought them YP out. I pay $871 per month for digital advertising. Since I started tracking the performance back in February 2018 here are the results: Feb-8 calls -- 4 someone selling me something 2 were for services I don't provide and 2 were legit. Mar-10 calls -- 5 someone selling me something 3 legit -- 2 robocalls. Apr-5 calls -- 1 someone selling me something;1 legit; 3-robocalls. May-5-calls -- all robocalls. Jun-11-calls -- 2 legit--9 robocalls.
I've notified customer service; my sales rep; his supervisor with no one stepping up to admit that the service is not working and definitely not worth the money. I'm now stuck with a contract that doesn't expire until November or February--it's hard to keep track because any changes on the account ends up extending the contract. So my advice to you is DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU ARE PROVIDED SOME KIND OF TRIAL PERIOD. You will mainly get phone calls from other businesses trying to sell you something or robocalls.

We've been with them for a long time and the service is fairly valuable. Our boss mostly wanted to have a little bit of exposure online if people were searching for us. But he's not a huge advertiser and we stay simple. So, as long as it is easy for people to find us, then he is happy. We like the reports where we're able to see where we're getting calls from, whether it'd be online, from Facebook, or whether it'd be from our ad on the Yellow Page part of thing. That's helpful. Also, the customer service has been good. DexYP has all done a good job for us and I would recommend them.

I am so tired of dealing with this terrible company. I have been with them since 2012. At first just yellow page ads. Then, I stupidly signed up for an online marketing campaign with them and the results were subpar. I signed a contract and felt obligated to perform my end of it, even if they did not really perform their end of the bargain. When the end of the contract was approaching, I both called and sent in a written notice terminating the online portion of the contract, as I was required to do. I got a confirmation number that they received my termination notice.
The next month, I got an email notice of an invoice that included payment for the terminated service. I called them and explained that it was not supposed to be charged for the terminated part of the service. The person on the telephone confirmed that I had terminated the contract and that I should not and would not be charged. When I got my credit card bill, they had charged me for the terminated services. I had to file a complaint with my credit card company to cancel the improper charge.
I also have told the account rep to only call me on my work number as I do not always have my cell phone with me and do not always check messages. Please, I reiterated, only contact me at my business number. Nope, she calls the cell. I got a mildly threatening message yesterday evening that my charges were going to go up considerably for the print ads unless I accepted her offer for a “package.” I have hated my dealing with this terrible company and want to cease doing business with them ever again. This means that I will not have print ads in the phonebooks, because they are the only game in the entire state, but so be it. I refuse to be threatened and toyed with by this company any longer. I plan to seek an attorney to explore options for redress on how I have been treated.
