    I like Thryv. We use the social media app, email, and the service for adding people to our database. But the integration of our database into it got a little messy and that was probably our fault. There was no simple way of fixing all the tags. I don't know how they can simplify that in the future but I've had to go through individual tags and redo everybody's profile. For me, that's as time-consuming as you could imagine.

    The only other thing is we have email bounces and that creates problems for me because I am going in there and removing all these emails every time they bounce. But if a certain amount of them bounce, then I'm not allowed to send another email. That puts me in a standstill situation until someone gets back to me. It's not easy to get that issue resolved as fast as I would like. I would like to not have to reach out to so many third parties and wait for things to happen. When I send an email, it's pretty substantial for me to be able to send that email right away versus having to wait for it. My rep Desiree was very helpful in the beginning. But as soon as she was gone, there isn't anyone I could directly reach out to.

    Thryv has been great. Everybody has held my hand every step of the way. They have made sure everything was set up right. So, it was really easy to get started. The service has been pretty valuable. I use multiple aspects of it like the CRM, merchant processor and scheduling services. There's a lot of the online process and the SEO side of that as well. The marketing center reached out to me a few times when that was launching. But I didn't follow through on my end as far as trying to build up more of a social media presence that would make the marketing effective.

    Another aspect of the service that I saw pop up last week was a branded app. So now my clients have that on their phone. It's still just through the client portals of Thryv but it is nice. I didn't realize that there was gonna be an app that had my name and logo on it. So there was even things like that behind the scenes that I was pleasantly surprised by.

    Thryv talked to us because we were having problems with our website. The ability for them to build us a website and not have an upfront charge for that, and to help us with our social media were the two things that helped us. We use our dashboard and sell our classes through Thryv. It's a part of our revenue center. Almost everything is perfect but the couple of things we've had problems with were very difficult to get fixed and it was product related. But all of those have been fixed now. Thryv is a good product and it works for us. They always strive to fix what I ask them to fix.

    Ken, the agent from Thryv, goes over and above for me and takes care of anything I need on the website. Thryv is a great working piece, but unless I get in there and do some of my own marketing, it's not producing the customers that I wanted. But on the same token, Ken is working with me on increasing keywords. He just revamped my entire website last night and it looks great. And I'm looking forward to the social media that Thryv does. It’s starting to kick in and we had a meeting yesterday. When I start promoting my own stuff to different lists and targeting certain things, we'll see how it turns out. But I'm not dissatisfied. Thryv is a great tool. I could put all of my contacts in there, I could work directly from there and I could schedule my Zoom meetings.

    They were always being very kind and receptive to my questions. Every single appointment that we schedule was promptly done. I've been using the service mostly for calendaring and scheduling. I would like something for the financial part of the business. Initially, I thought it would be helpful for that but it hasn't been any at all. I'm paying a lot monthly for what they are offering me now.

    With it, I just schedule customers and we have messages reminding them of their appointment. I can record payments but the numbers don't make any sense. I cannot know how much my sales was for today, this week, this month or the past three months. I cannot record my workers' payment either nor can I tell you how much they produced for the company. Everything is still manual for me. So in sales, they didn't help me at all.

    The rep spent a great deal of time just listening about my business and what I was looking for in a CRM. Then she explained how Thryv worked and how it might work for me. She didn't try and sell me. She just listened about what I had going on, and then told me about the product and how it fits together. So, rather than give me a sales pitch, she gave me an overview after hearing what I was looking for. She did a good job. I'm a sales guy, so I was impressed.

    I was looking for a social media centralization, so I could reduce the amount of time I spent on social media marketing my own brand. I was looking for some basic content creation, and client management tools, something to track when my clients had paid me, and make it a a central system of communication. Thryv does all of those. Most of their services are really great. Social media content is okay. I have a unique niche market so it's pretty hard to create content. They give me some general starting points. They have good feedback positions. They make it easier, but they're certainly not doing it for me. They are reducing the time I spend working on it though.

    When we started out with Thryv, we had a meeting and it didn't take too long. I didn't really have any questions and they went over everything. They made their products understandable and they followed up with us periodically. They're the only thing that we're using for advertising right now and so far, they do a pretty okay job. Going with them was also cheaper than what we were already paying for a Yellow Page ad.

    For a short amount of time, we tried to do the invoicing with Thryv but because we couldn't take payments through Thryv and we had to keep it through Quickbooks anyway, it got a little messy. Things didn't import and export over very well. So, we decided to switch. We kept Thryv for the SEO and our website, but not for our billing. Thryv has been great for our website. We have a ton of people reach out to us just directly from the website. So, that was awesome. We get a lot of traffic from the website. Our website looks great. Also, anybody who we were dealing with at Thryv was always super helpful and really great.

    We signed up with Thryv so we could have a place where we could process credit card payments and manage our social media. Thryv is easy to learn, has a variety of functions, and is helpful. But the customer service has been a little bit up and down. Sometimes, they're helpful. Sometimes, they're not. I have noticed a few glitches when trying to charge cards, especially ones saved on file. And that's really big because when we have a patient in front of us, we're looking to charge them right then and there. If we can't get the charge to go through, that's an issue. And the ability to delete scheduled payments fully instead of showing that still need their attention. It would also be nice if we have a place where we are able to export everything on a month-to-month basis. But their service has been very valuable. Everybody that comes in here and pays with a card or cash at our clinic, Thryv is used.

    Having Thryv resulted in getting more work, but it's made my work easier. I use their email camp for their email campaigns because I can send hundreds of emails without getting spammed. In most email platforms, if you send more than 20 or 30 out of the same thing, you get some trouble. I also have one point of contact for our social media platforms, so I can upload in one spot, schedule it, and it'll go out to all my platforms. It saves us a lot of time. Also, their customer service has been great. If I ever have any issues doing certain things, I can reach out to them at any time and they respond very quickly. I was having some challenges and they scheduled a training for me and walked me through the whole thing. They made sure that I could do it on my own before they disconnected the call, so I didn't have any further issues with that. They're super responsive and very knowledgeable.

    The agents are very helpful, and always available, which is rare these days. Once you're utilizing the program, you have other options for contacts for help. I could always reach out to him, and I appreciated that, until I was comfortable to make that transition into the next person who would be helping us. I never had a bad experience.     There was a rough patch for a while with the Thryv rep but it's been good. If I have something and I contact somebody at Thryv, if it's not their department, they'll get me in touch with whoever it is. They do follow-up calls to see if there's anything else that they can do. If you don't have something in place to manage the online stuff, it's a full-time job. You cannot possibly be a business owner and also do all of that stuff yourself and do it right. So, Thryv has been invaluable because I can't and don’t wanna do everything that they do. They do SEO such as the behind-the-scenes as well as some of the management of social media posts. I don't necessarily have the desire or the time to dig deep and utilize every single thing that Thryv offers but it's nice to know that it's there if I want to. And if I have something that I'm wondering if I can do, I just contact them.

    Thryv bought out the company that I was with before that I was super happy with. But I'm not happy with Thryv. The social media piece is not good. I'm never going to use ThryvPay. They're always trying to sell me other stuff I'm not interested in. I'm paying Thryv too much money. But they do my website, and they're supposed to be doing my Instagram and Facebook. But they never linked to the old Instagram that we already had in place with the other company.

    I needed a CRM, and I wanted to be able to automate and schedule Facebook and Instagram posts and do email campaigns in one place. I went with Thryv and it turned out great. I have recommended it to other people. I like how they scheduled time to meet with me virtually and set up my account so that it would work. Their customer service can usually answer my questions. Thryv is a great system. One of the things that perked my interest when I first heard about it was how it already has a lot of images preloaded for Facebook and Instagram posts, but I didn't find those very useful. They weren't very tailored or big enough library for me to use. That would be the only thing I would suggest some improvement on.

    Thryv is quick to respond and address issues. They do our website and handle our SEO marketing. They're working on certain keywords for us. The rep said it's normal for certain keywords to take a dip when you're putting more content about those keywords until Google trusts it. Once Google trust it, it starts making its way back up. We're at that stage right now - they're working their way back up. We got in at a good price ‘cause they were doing a promotion but it's gone up.

    I was introduced to Thryv by a representative named Meredith who does work in my region. I started out with them initially to revamp my website. I needed my website updated and that was all done. My website looks great, and now, I utilize them regularly. I keep the service because I use them to schedule my social media stuff and do email campaigns. Their customer service is excellent. Every time I've called, they're available, and they do a lot for me. They're very helpful. Thryv has been valuable in that it offers ease. It's an easy platform to use, and the representative that I have, Meredith, really makes things easier as well.

    I would tell people to talk to Meredith because it's been good for me. If it's affordable in a small business, the capacity for someone to be able to use it, it's definitely worth it. They definitely have more things than I utilize on the platform, so for those that do invoices and sell actual products, that'll definitely be great for them. I'm always telling people about how I've used Thryv. I don't use every single capacity, and the package that I have is the only package that's available for what I wanted. It would be nicer to have a more customized program, but overall, they offer a good product.

    The rep was great. She was very open, transparent and helpful. Thryv is something that we wouldn't wanna operate without. It covers a lot of bases for us from social media to hosting our website. It helps a lot with calendar coordination for the employees too. I love all the stuff and I've recommended it already to people, but I also warn them about some of the issues that we've been having with some of the functionality not working the way it's supposed to. When we're trying to communicate with our clients through Thryv, a lot of them are not receiving the communications, which is really detrimental. We are new, so I don't wanna immediately say it's not useful. However, a lot of times, recently, they've put us in touch with a central 24/7 helpline that's offshore somewhere and it isn't the most helpful.

Ever since they took over the other company, I'm not quite sure they are working because I don't get return calls. I don't get any reminder that they are working on our system.     I use Thryv's software exclusively for tracking and sending out invoices. There are a couple of automatic campaigns like the send out a birthday card that I use automated. The review thing however, because that's automatic, they send a thing requesting review, but that's not working right now. People can't review my work, but I'm working on it. When I have an issue, they're usually right on top of it. And it normally takes a minute or two to get it fixed.     I needed some sort of invoicing and client care system and that's what Thryv provided. That's why I chose them. But there are some things that could be done better. There are many different things that other places offer, like profit and loss forms and keeping track of parts, cost of things. And as far as QuickBooks, they offer a lot of those things. That has turned me back and forth to either choosing them or Thryv. The main reason why I stay with Thryv is they package a lot of those things. But it would be nice to be able to do a lot more as far as bookkeeping on the Thryv platform. It would be nice to have some sort of finance care in there as well as far as money being spent, parts on jobs.

    They cover a lot of other things besides the invoicing stuff, like the website. They also help with the advertising, which is nice. QuickBooks doesn't do that. But QuickBooks only focuses on that. And that's why they have that so organized. That's something crucial for me. My website isn't as important to me as keeping track of parts as far as what I'm using on jobs, keeping track of my inventory in a sense. But not an active inventory, but just on a job, being able to insert how much money was either spent on a job or maybe a part that was used on a job so that it saves to the job. Every time I look at my jobs, I can filter out ones that I've had.

    Another company has charts that say how much money is being made or spent. They have all these different charts that you can have someone insert it all. And you can insert each job. It doesn't take but a few more seconds to add that in before you close the job. Before the job is closed and considered closed, you can add that stuff in. I run my own small business, so it would be nice to have those things. I don't have a bookkeeper that only uses that and does all the math on everything else. I have to do that math. So, it would be nice if it was inside of the system, which I know other places that have it. That's the only thing that could be added on to there, which I would pay another $100 a month. Other than that, Thryv's customer service is great and they've helped me with anything that I've asked them about. I've been using ThryvPay as well, which is nice.

    Thryv offers a competitive payment system compared to other systems. That was something cool because I could run cards and they pay it back quick too. And if I would have a problem with a double charge, they would handle it quickly. That's always nice, good customer service. I've never had customer service as great as that. They do Zoom meetings. And I could sit there and talk to someone for an hour, and they would answer all my questions. Thryv does a good job at what they offer.

    Thryv offers a nice system, but there are some glitches that need to be fixed. Their apps don't switch from item to item. If I'm trying to do a client and I need to go back and do an invoice, it doesn't switch easily enough. I have to completely clear the system and then go back into it. It's not a 100% great experience, but maybe it's just because I'm learning still.

    It's been a nice experience having all of my clients in one spot and the automatic notification that it sends out is a nice incentive. It's made things easier, but I could do without it if I had to. The price is a little expensive for what they offer, and there are some days that I'm ready to quit with Thryv because the system is not always the easiest. I am a little concerned about not getting notifications when people have sent me messages for their booking. I wish the notifications would come through the app to let me know that I have a new message, so I don't have to go in constantly to check to see if I've gotten any kind of new system. I'm a little unhappy about the price increase too and not getting notices of that until the day that they're ready to increase.

    Thryv's customer service has been very good and their services have been valuable. But the Thryv software is not exactly designed for every business and we're still working a lot of kinks out. I rent tables and chairs and the system isn't able to tell people if I do or do not have any chairs left. The other issue is that we do balloon bounce rentals for birthday parties and stuff that we offer extra things with like the delivery or a generator and the system is not able to assess those things online. The customer goes online and books the balloon bounce and we have to either accept or deny it. Then we have to call the customer and ask about the extras. It feels like we're nickel-and-diming the customer and it doesn't make for a great experience.

    But other than those, they've taught me things like getting reviews helps you to show up more in Google and there are certain keywords that we can key in. I always thought you had to just go to Google and pay them to get up to the top. Thryv showed me other ways that we can do certain things well in our business and move up the list. The representative who reached out to me and held my hand every step of the way was Suzie. She spent the time to be on every single call when I was running the software. She's only a phone call away. If she's not able to get ahold of me within an hour, she gets back to me the next day.

    One time, I had an issue and I called Thryv. The rep's response was that I needed to call back the next day when technicians were there to help me. I like the guy that I talk to all the time and ask questions but he has some incidents happening in his life every single time I call him. I know he's not making things up but I'm having to wait a couple of days in between getting a response about something that I should be able to make a phone call about. I pay 400 bucks a month to be able to make a phone call and get the answer right away.

    Also, the website that they built is from a platform that's so poor, Google doesn't even recognize it. And I've never gotten one job through Thryv. I'm just waiting for my time to be done so I can cancel it. It’s killing me 400 bucks a month for nothing. I would have canceled a long time ago but they locked me into a six-month contract. They're great people, though. If somebody has a lot of customers, it would totally be a good fit and I would recommend them. But it's not a good fit for my business. It’s just something I don't need.

    Thryv bought the company that I was with, which was Vivial at the time. The way Vivial operated was a little bit better. I'm fairly hands-off as far as the internet stuff, so I would meet with somebody once a month, and they would go over everything, what's going on, what they're working on, and take it from there. Whereas with Thryv, I very seldom ever hear from anyone as far as who's working on the account there. I may occasionally get a call from my sales rep, but not from people who are actually optimizing the website or working on certain keywords. I like getting contacted monthly a little bit better to get an update.

    Before Thryv when I was with Vivial, most of the time, I did show up as one of the top companies in the map search on Google. They had five spots back then. Now, they've narrowed it down to three. So, it's hard to get into those top map spots there. They write articles and post stuff out on Twitter, Facebook, and stuff like that, which is great because that's what I need them to do because I'm certainly not gonna do it. I do like where everything comes in or when I get a review, I can go and respond to it if need be. I have one spot where I can keep a handle on how things are going as far as reviews. When I needed something and I called Thryv, they have been very responsive and I've been able to get what I needed to be done. So, that's the good part. They're just not as quite as hands-on as Vivial, but they're easy to work with.

    They called me and I spoke with John. He seemed like a genuine guy and a good salesman. I appreciate good sales and I figured I'd give them a shot. With the type of business I have, which is a relatively high ticket, and for the price, it should pay for itself each month, which it does, except for one month when it didn't. Also, John has always been super helpful. Even when his job was done in terms of selling me stuff, if I have questions or something, I could just text him and he'd find the right person in the company and put me in contact with them. Also, he'd monitor to see how things went. After the sale, it's not just like the interaction was over. He stayed in contact and for that reason, I've recommended other people to him.

    Thryv put me on so many social media that I've never even heard of and they put up all these posts and updates for me. They're actually pretty good.     Thryv's customer service has been great. There was a slight hiccup in the beginning where I didn't speak to anyone from February to April. Then finally, everything got worked out in May and I was able to get through the system. They were contacting me every week and the only person I spoke to was the sales rep because I saw him every other week. Since then, I haven't heard from anyone outside of him. But the system is great and their service is very valuable. Once you get your CRM uploaded, it's pretty easy to navigate. Also, you can have the support team customize certain things for you. So in the future, I would use them again because the platform works. I like seeing and knowing that emails or texts that are being sent out are being read or viewed because normally, you can't do that if you have a regular email.

    The rep was very proactive, helpful and trainer friendly. But that's fallen off and seven months in, my requests are not being responded to as quickly. Other than that, Thryv has been pretty good. We have captured a lot of different businesses which we wouldn't have gotten prior.     Updated on 04/01/2024: Thryv was terrible, and I won't ever use them again. All they did was create a website and turn on Facebook ads. The service cost a lot of money for what it is and there wasn't a lot of help or assistance with any of it. The rep usually answered her phone whenever we needed it, but that didn't go much further than that. Thryv also didn't tell us that they locked us into a six-month contract, so we had to pay their premium price for six months before we could get out. We were stuck, and we weren't happy with it.

    Original Review: They’re very knowledgeable on everything they do. They weren't pushy. They just gave us what we needed and gave us advice and things that they would change or do. It's helpful for getting our name out there. When you search Google, it throws our name out to everybody, so we get a lot of work based on that.

    I was with another company, and I was at the point where I was looking for another company. Thryv reached out to me. Usually, I'm not a big fan of the people calling me, but I liked that it wasn't pre-recorded and scripted. I was able to have a discussion. Then, the rep I talked to was very informative when I asked questions and expressed the issues with the current company I was with. So far, Thryv's service has been valuable. The website is of good quality. We use their CRM tool and their SEO program right now and we see benefits from both. The best thing I thought was with their CRM tool. They met with me every week on a Zoom call just to answer any questions and make sure I was learning my way around their system. I got one point of contact and if I have any issues, he's on it the same day.

    With our prior provider, everything was outsourced, and the follow through was horrible. We had ongoing issues with getting web pages updated and them not paying attention to details. With Thryv, there are two advantages in that regard. They give you access to the website with tools to make the changes yourself. Also, with that point of contact and his follow through, I haven't had to babysit anything. I just make a phone call and say, "Hey, I'd like to see this address," and it gets addressed.

    The customer service is so-so, and Thryv has become extremely slow and we're even second-guessing if we're gonna stay with them because they don't have a work order format and they're having issues with backing out of the screen or taking too long or the calendar acting up. Thryv wants to know exactly what type of device you are, you've gotten all kind of things that doesn't matter because if other apps are working on your phone and just that one's not, and that one's acting up, so it's just Thryv. So they need to up their system to where it can take the traffic that Thryv obviously has.

    I call Thryv and we also do chat. I've emailed over the issues and they say that they're gonna give it to the product team. The last email that I received from them was that they needed to know exactly which devices are doing it. All of the devices are doing it. I don't need to get all that information, and telling you what brand of phone it is should be enough and that everything else is working. It's just their app, and it wasn't doing that in the beginning, but now it is. It's already been uninstalled and reinstalled on each device. None of the devices need any updates. It slows my job down.

    We started with a company called Vivial and then they merged with Thryv, and they did a similar business. When we told them we wanted to change our plan, they said, "Okay, we should probably convert you over to Thryv since the company is going in that direction." So we converted over to Thryv, and they showed us the new platform and how to do some of the social postings automatically. They've got some pretty good stuff on their platform. It's pretty user-friendly and it's got a little chat box. If you have any problems, you can just ask somebody. Our Thryv representative has been good. We've done a couple of Zoom meetings when we were getting introduced to the new platform and he's been very responsive.

    We have three companies using Thryv. One of the other companies is gonna use it for their credit card processing and storing the client information. For Treehouse, it's good for scheduling and social posts and just keeping all the information out there on the websites. We've used Thryv even more so for Two Guys and a Dumpster because we had them build the website. We can access the website if somebody messages us on Facebook or Instagram or all these different platforms. They all show up there. Thryv has been great. They can help get a business up and running pretty smoothly. It takes care of a lot of the back end stuff that takes time and puts it all in one place. I'd recommend them.

    I liked that all the communication channels are in one place. The rep calls back when I call him. If he doesn't know, he gets the answer. The social media stuff is good, but I haven't got heavy responses from it. They did the website. That was great. It's basic website stuff. And the ability to invoice everybody, Thryv pay has been good, too.

    I would like the system to have the ability to work with other programs, because Thryv is more of a CRM program. I know it has its functions, but the CRM part of it is is not fully developed yet. That should be an option to accommodate different types. Sales in a sales environment, that's one thing. But in a manufacturing environment, you have the manufacturing part. You could do some work-around there, but the interface is not that friendly.

    Let's say I meet somebody that would be a prospect stage where they go through certain stages within that. I initiated the cold call, they came in. We're quoting them, we're designing something from them, now, we're producing the stuff for them. And that could be a baker, or a plumber. So, the ability to shape how the process is going within Thryv would be valuable.

    Have a very clear idea of what you're trying to do and what you're using it for. Be mindful of what it would take, because if you're a one-man army, you would never have time for the situation. I spent $400 a month for a while, and I didn't get up for two months. There's still problems with the Facebook. I don't get messages from my Facebook through Thryv. We went through going through my account, through the developer site on Facebook. We did everything, and I gave them access to everything.

    Now, Google Maps came up. But I go on Google, and I wouldn't see the "Chat with us" button. If it's Google, it should be Google for Google Maps and Google. So if somebody hits me, if they just google me and I pop up, and the button should automatically say, "Chat with" so it pops up on my phone, and I would take care of them. Thryv is a great product. But be mindful.

    I have a person of contact, the person that reached out to me, Rick. He has a staff member that's in Texas that's helping with the web design and development, Lauren, which so far, I have been less than impressed with, the quality and accuracy of the work. Their service has not been valuable at all. It's cost me money. But it hasn't even generated one single phone call for me in four months. They're advertising my company with the wrong name. I told them about that multiple times. Lauren said she could remedy it, and then Rick said that it couldn't be remedied unless I'm on a Zoom call with them. I've explained I don't have time to keep making Zoom calls. It's taking time away from what I'm doing.

    What I was promised was they would take over the company's Facebook page, do posts, and generate excitement through the Facebook, and they would create a webpage along with Google and Yelp pages and 60 other advertising sites. I told them that with the Facebook, I don't want generic photos. I want my own photos posted. I want it to seem like a small family company, so I want the posts to be more human-like. So far, after I signed the contract, they informed me that they couldn't use my photos. They have to use generic photos.

    None of the posts that they have put out are even posts that I would put out. But they told me that I could go in before the posts go out and I could correct them. If I hired a firm to do all this, why do I have to go correct what the firm does? They got me locked in a contract, so it is what it is. It's so horrible that I don't even tell people that I use Thryv and I can't wait till the contract is over. I even talked to Rick. He tried to fix some stuff and got me a refund, but it's not really a refund. It's an in-house credit. Two weeks later, I'm still charged again out of my credit card because we’ve gotta keep charging me. We can't just use the credit.

    When I set this up, I also told them I'm in Springfield, Oregon, and I want to advertise within 60 miles as the bird flies from Springfield. Come to find out, for three months, I was only advertising in this small little town of Springfield. I had all these other catch words I had them load in there. For three months, the only word was “painter.” Not cabinet refinishing, not power washing, not soft washing, not interior/exterior painting. I've got $2,000 invested into a company that hasn't even generated one single phone call for a lead, let alone profit.

Thryv is good but I wish I could schedule an invoice to be sent at a later date. Also, quoting on the invoicing can get a little confusing. Maybe I don't know how to work that yet.     I've always been tracking my clients through one source or another, and Thryv puts them in one place a little better than some of the other places that I've worked with in the past. There are some other things for advertising or sending out mailers that are convenient as well. I use Thryv as a database as well as for my calendar and scheduling and for sending out notices to save clients. The site is not hard to learn, but it's not an overnight thing. There's a learning curve. All in all, I'm very pleased with Thryv. They are very easy to work with, and their people are very helpful. Everything that I've done with them has worked very well for me and I'd recommend them.

    The rep of Thryv that I worked with was fantastic and very attentive. She gets on every call. She makes sure that things are followed up on and makes it really easy to do business with them.     The automation is awesome and I loved how it would keep in contact with the customer on my behalf. One thing that Thryv has been invaluable in a bad way is the social media posting. I had a 15-minute conversation with somebody and they ran me through a script of questions. They said my Facebook and social media posts were gonna be based off of that profile. I’ve given them access to my Google drive for all of the photos and videos and they haven't used my photos once. They've done a stock image search and the posts are put together as if it was from a second language.

    I've had to change the post multiple times or completely delete them. The photos are for a sandblasting company and we aren't sandblasting. The posts are trying to promote laser cleaning as if it's sandblasting. Thryv was a bell and a whistle I thought I needed but I really don't. It's a lot more hype than reality. Instagram makes it look very good. But whenever I'm actually using it, it's like, “Eeeh, it does things.”

    I've found that for payment processing, my QuickBooks is easier to use than Thryv because I can do estimates and it integrate seamlessly. Using ThryvPay as the payment processing tool and have it go through my connected Quickbooks is like relaying information that could have been done from one source. I could do the job in a couple of less clicks on another thing.

    We're a general contractor primarily for roofing and remodeling. We wanted a system that would give us the ability to access any of our customer's information and documents. In the past, we've had a hard time with that because one secretary handles one of the rep's claims then I handle the other rep's claims. Sometimes, we need to share documents on the fly when one rep fills in for another. It's nice that they can just go into Thryv and in that respect, Thryv is great. We love that. I also like that they do the advertising on Facebook. That has freed up a lot of time for me. That's usually what I do and Thryv does it so much better.

    The only real beeps we've had is the estimate writing is really limited. I get one template and there's not a lot of flexibility in that. I've been in constant communication with support to try to modify it or put in suggestions. I also see that other contractors have the same issue. One of my big gripes is we often put just text items and some of the line items are not really products or services. They're just information that is pertinent to the project and it's something that needs a signature. So it's important to be able to have text that doesn't have a cost associated with it.

    Also, I was using headers before and the template was allowing me to stack a bunch of headers at the bottom which I liked because it was highlighted. So, it stood out and I could tell it was different. But just last week, it changed. I have to put products underneath the header or it will not let me save or send the estimate. My guys are also having trouble signing on with the mobile app. It works fine for me but for one of the guys, it asks for his sign-on information and then he would hit enter but it would loop around and ask for him to sign on again. I filed a ticket for that and Thryv was working on it but I never heard anything after that. Additionally, our logo is blurry on our estimates and invoices. Thryv can't figure out why. I sent them a high-res image but as soon as it uploads, their system pixelates it. They can't figure out why.

    Thryv's reps are usually helpful when I'm trying to navigate through something. But when it comes to feature requests, it's the same thing, "Go put in a feature request." Other than that, Thryv's cost is great and it's practical. We get a lot for what we pay for and I'm happy with the price. I would like to see signatures that and they have started allowing those but it would be at an additional charge.

    We have scheduling, booking, and billing with Thryv. I wish mapping would be on there, too. It would be like schedule appointments and then when I do location, when I click on the map, I wish it would send me to a pinpoint. So, that's a recommendation for an upgrade for Thryv. Overall, Thryv is valuable. It's very good for scheduling and billing. I would recommend it. As far as customer support, we either message my rep, Sonya, or I have to go on Thryv's thing and message the people. I didn't have a great experience in the beginning and I still don't think it's great because the problem is I've tried getting my Google on my reviews for when I can send people after I'm done with the job for a review, and they weren't able to do it. They couldn't do it for me. I ended up having to do it myself and it was a mess.

    For some reason, the tech service wasn't able to do it. It was weeks without it and I had people see my reviews through Thryv, but those don't get posted. I wanted Google to be on there so when people get a review link from me for when I sent it out, I wanted them to be able to click on Google and not to Thryv. Also, I would love to have the taxes on there that I can print out and send in to my accountant.

    Thryv's services have been pretty valuable. Our main thing is that we're pretty bare minimum with our customer relations just because we have so much reach as business and also, 75% of our business is industrial based. So, we're not really focused on expanding our residential area, but we know that there is an opportunity with Thryv if we ever wanted to explore that. Overall, Thryv listens to you. That's a big one because we pretty much told them what our outline was and what our goal was. With Vivial, every month, we would have to do like a follow-up where with Thryv, we were able to let them know, "Hey, like this is bare-bones.” We've been in business for over 40 years now. So, we don't have a need to expand but if we do need to expand, then we have our customer representative and reach out to them if need be. It's nice because we don't have to constantly be followed up with. Thryv has been very accessible and easy to get ahold of if need be as well.

    We were with Vivial prior to Thryv, and Thryv purchased Vivial. My account rep that I had a relationship with Vivial left, and I never had a new agent reach out. I happened to go to a chamber luncheon that I go to monthly and at my table was seated an account rep with Thryv. I said, "Hey, I don't have a representative. Can you help me?" He said, "Yes. Absolutely. I'd be happy to." So, that was how I got connected with Thryv. The account rep is Dennis. He's been helping me ever since, and he's been very hands on and very helpful. Right now, I'm on the package that is about 500 a month. Vivial built my website and then Thryv re-updated the website. So, they've got my website and I'm on the Thryv portal. We do some of our sales through there like a ThryvPay. They do my social media content, build my social media for me, and then I can go in and make any edits or changes to that. They also came by and did some photos and a video as well.

    I like them doing all of the social media for me. Even though I might not like the post 100%, it's like a template. When some of them were good to go, I'll leave them. I wanna keep my branding the same. So, if they put in a post with an image that doesn't seem on brand for me, then I'll go and edit the image or supply my own image. They've walked me all through that. It's very easy for me to do. Thryv trained me on all that. So, I like having that but them pre-making the post for me keeps me involved in that. Otherwise, I wouldn't think to do it. So, I just can make some adjustments to what they've created for me. That way, I've got a stronger social media presence.

    Thryv's service has been very valuable because they've helped me with my website. I haven't done the search engine optimization with them yet, but just getting the website and cleaning up some of the connections with the search engines, just with creating the website has been helpful to drive business to me. I do my calendar bookings. We have meeting rooms that we book, so I use their scheduling appointment platform as well.

    Our rep with Thryv has been super helpful especially when I have a question. Being able to do the text messaging and through the website make it easy to have that contact. Not all customers always know where to go to make a payment online. Having those links through the website makes it much easier for them to be able to do that. I like the ease of access too. They make it easy for us to make posts on the website. Thryv already does some posts for me. Before Thryv, I was having to do everything myself.     We had high hopes for Thryv. Jackie who was initial very helped disappeared mid service. Stopped returning call. Stopped returning text. They never correctly built us a website. They never connect us to Google. But they had no problem charging my account. I cancelled the account 2 1/2 months ago and they just sent a cancelled the account a week ago. When we requested a refund the lady on the phone was rude and condescending. She told me I have to prove to them they did not do their job, and yet she could see the job wasn't done from her end on the computer.     I have used 2 other calendars and I have been disappointed in Thryv. There is no waiting list feature which is essential in my business. There are a number of skills lacking in calendar. That are commonly used in other calendars and hard to not have. The help when you call in seems to know less than I do to the point that they can’t tell if the feature is broken or they just can’t do it.     Thryv helped make our outdated website more modern. But it took a month to get onboarded. By the time that we were promised to be onboarded, nothing was done, so I had to wait two more weeks. Their onboarding team needs to be more connected with the client and follow up. I just received an email when I first was getting onboarded saying, "Hey, send me everything you need." So I sent the rep everything I needed. She was my onboarding person then she wasn't. I had to go to the web team. Having an onboarding person who is dealing with all that would be an improvement. Other than that, we finally got onboarded and ever since then, everything has been fine.

    Thryv helps mainly through the website and getting solicitations for new jobs. We get hits via our website to our direct email for certain jobs. We had that before, but it was of a much different basis. It wasn't as direct or easy. With one or two jobs that we get via our website, it'll pay for itself in a month. Thryv also designed our website which is good. We get Google rankings and ratings. The Google rankings are much better than they were before. They also do monthly articles for us. I give the base content for that. It would be good to know a little bit more about some of the certain content. I read them and make suggestions from time to time. They could make sure some of the pictures that are posted with the articles go hand in hand because some of them don't.

    It's been a little clunky trying to get everything going, but the support is good. The service is really set up for a small business selling a product, so it's kind of making it work for my industry, which is real estate. We are getting announcements set up and there's been a constant battle with Google business verification. That got really screwed up. Thryv created a duplicate account for my Google My Business page, which was verified. But in creating the duplicate, they've compromised both pages, so I no longer have a verified Google profile. It's been a nightmare. But Thryv has been super helpful, friendly, and good to work with. I kind of challenged what some of the software can do, so all that's been good.

    The cost and the quality of service are good. There's just some functionality I want that is a little difficult to make work, but I can get there. Also, the messaging services need to be a little more tied to the inbox, as opposed to announcements. But I changed company and brokerages, so I haven't really launched things. I've just been doing a lot of setups.

    We started with Thryv in September. They had warned us that it would take up to six months to fully understand their program and to have it customized for us. We are in month five and we are still working on the same things from week one of our onboarding. Nothing has gone the way they said it would go. We're an outdoor company and we provide activities for disabled people and it's a mess. The website was developed and we have not gotten further help for that. We were told that the calendar could be used for booking. We can't book lessons online. We cannot get our customers loaded into the customer database correctly without us going in and doing it by hand. We also haven't even got to how to get reports out of there. I have two-quarters worth of information I need to pull out. We're having to go in and create spreadsheets on our Google drives to pull out the information we need.

    They haven't been able to use the client portal because we haven't been able to get the clients in there correctly. We've lost clients. They've registered and it's completely disappeared in cyberspace. We have no idea where some of the people who registered as clients or volunteers came. We've lost clients that gave up because we didn't reach back out to them. A couple of them have come in and said, "I signed up to volunteer with you guys and I haven't heard anything." Our volunteer base has not grown. We're thoroughly unhappy and we will be leaving them.

    I was assigned an onboarding person to help us customize our needs. He has been very nice, professional and helpful. But somehow, he wasn't up for the task of customizing Thryv for our business. We also reached out to the salesperson who gave us the first demo. He was polite and a nice man, but he has not reached back out.

    I love Thryv. It's been great. However, I've been having a lot of problems lately and it’s caused me to lose business over Thryv. They’ve given customers estimates, and then when I was giving them the email, they weren't receiving it and I was unaware that they weren’t receiving it. By the time I realized that, I've lost the customers and I lost thousands of dollars because I wasn't communicating through Thryv. So Thryv gave me a $350 credit.     When we were first getting set up and settled with Thryv, the rep we worked with was very good and helpful. He came in, sat with us, and made sure we were good, up and running. Then we ran into an issue when we thought the software had one feature, but it turned out it did not and we had to do something else. Our Google was not connecting with Thryv but our website had been verified. So, it wasn't a Google issue, it was Thryv issue. But they kept trying to tell me it was a Google issue. The help desk in general wasn't really able to help, so I just gave up. About two weeks later, I reached out to somebody else and eventually, I got a phone call and we got it figured out.

    The other thing was that we thought if we got reviews right through Thryv, we would be able to get them published, so people who were Googling us would be able to see them. But we found out that we would have to have them leave a review on Google reviews in order for that to be viewed. Other than that, Thryv helps with our organization and appointment scheduling. Whenever I encounter a problem, most of the time, I use the instant chat and it seems to work. But last time, it wasn't working and it felt like they were arguing with me. So, I closed the chat and emailed the support email where they were able to direct it to the correct person and get me an answer.

    I had my home roof replaced for $20,837 in late Dec 2022. The roofing company uses a third party payment vendor, Thryv, for invoicing and electronic payment processing. I was billed for $20,837 on Jan 2, 2023 by Thryv, representing Stafford Roofing and Siding Co. On Jan 2, after receiving the bill, I made three attempts to make payment through the Thryv website, the first two failed and stated that payment was unsuccessful. The third attempt was successful and I received a receipt for the $20837 electronic transfer from my personal bank account from Thryv. I never received any receipt for the first two failed attempts. On Jan 3 I checked my bank account and there were three withdrawals, each for $20837. I contacted Thryv and the roofing company on Jan 3 and informed them of the two unauthorized transfers. The roofing company told me that Thryv handles all transactions.

    On Jan 3 morning, I was informed that the problem would be resolved by afternoon. Wednesday morning I was told that it would take 24 hours. On Thursday I was told the payments had been cancelled and the transfers would not occur, even though my bank told me they were electronic and payment had already transferred on Jan 2.

    On Friday Thryv told me that I would have to wait for the funds to clear for the refund process to begin. So on Monday Jan 2, they made two unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account using the banking information I provided for good faith payment; on Tuesday it would be resolved by afternoon; on Wed it would take 24 hrs; on Thursday the transfers had been cancelled; and on Friday I would have to wait for the transfers to post and clear. Thryv obtained funds from my bank account fraudulently and is uncooperative, vague, misleading, and unwilling to return my money. They are not forthcoming with correct information nor any plan or process to return my money. Their only valid advice was to file a claim with my bank, which I have.
