    Thryv is really good at what they do. My ideal view of how my business should be run and how I want it set is a big deal for them, so they take the time to make sure that they cover their bases. Getting Thryv is totally worth it, and people don't have a good, valid reason not to when it comes to their business.     My rep has been amazing. He pushes me for it way more than I would ever push myself. I’ve been satisfied with Thryv. It took all my presence tremendously, and there's still room for improvement, but I feel comfortable that they’re helping in the right direction. The biggest thing is getting my online listing straightened up. I've got a website now with them and some SEO stuff that started with them within the last month. I've seen a little bit of results off of that already, which is quite impressive. They could be cheaper though.

    I've had a few issues that Thryv can't seem to resolve. One is whenever I add a new client onto Thryv, it sends out three different texts with three different numbers when it should only be sending one. But it only does it that when it's a new client, and afterwards it doesn't do it. It was a whole three-week process of them continuously telling me that they're still looking into it and they will see what they can do. Then they told me to look into something else. But I haven't had time to look into it.

    The other problem I have is, for some reason, I can't find my calendar. They were supposed to post on my social media or make the content and they normally give me a month calendar of what is going to be posted, then I'm able to change whatever I need to. But all of a sudden, I can't find that calendar. And over on the left-hand side, it says old social, then it says social, and I don't know what that's about. Besides not being able to resolve my issues, Thryv's reps are really good at being nice and and the service is 80% valuable to my company. I love that the system sends my clients reminders and all the other features are fantastic.

    We're a little frustrated with the Yellow Pages part of Thryv because we tried to cancel it last year and we've been asking for a bill. Somebody is trying to collect for us. We started a website and everything with Thryv that way so the Yellow Pages is not needed. It’s frustrating, but the Thryv online website and customer service seem good.

    A rep came into our shop and showed me some statistics about our last website and how and why it wasn't working for us. They showed me what they could do for us and how we could benefit from using Thryv. I was very upfront about what we wouldn't need and what we needed and they listened to that. I mainly got with them for the SEO and the website portion of things and the fact that they post on our accounts daily so we have that optimization. That's been going well. Other than that, we also use the portal where people ask for inquiries and that's been helpful, too.

    The only downside to Thryv is that they kind of said they'd be really communicative with me throughout this whole process and they haven't been. They were checking in with me on the first couple of months but that kind of fell off. Not that I really need them to, but there have been some things I wish they would check in with me more. But other than that, it's an amazing company with a great platform.

    We were having some issues with the company we were using so we entertained the idea of using a new company. Thryv was the most affordable, and they offered comparable benefits that we didn't wanna lose with the other company we had. Thryv's service has been valuable. Marshall is extremely helpful and with great customer service. Most of the time, when there is an issue, they properly handle it and get things rolling and help with resolving the issue. Being able to talk to somebody when there's an issue is important. They are usually available to talk when there's something going on.

    I'm happy with Thryv. At first I thought the portal and the website where everything is managed are user-friendly, but as I'm using it more, there are some things that I think could be tweaked to be a little bit more smoother integrated better for the user. For some reason, it automatically wants to have me on a different time zone than I'm actually in. I had to manually go in and change that based off of a customer's response to getting a notification about an upcoming service date. There are a lot of spam messages being brought into the Thryv Business Center. It could be from people visiting our website, but it is a lot more than we had ever received when we had Town Square. I don't know why that is or if it's becoming more prevalent right now on the internet.

    Then I get a little bit confused with the integration into QuickBooks. I thought that it integrated all the clients and all of the customers, but it didn't integrate any of the previous invoicing. When I looked at the portal or watched the videos, everything should be going but it's not and I'm not 100% sure why. But it's not the deal-breaker because I have QuickBooks that I use. It's just something that I thought was going to be integrated in when I set up the integration between QuickBooks and the Thryv Business Center. That aspect of it did not sync through.

    When we first started with Thryv, they designed a website for us and got it up and running. We had to tweak it a little bit here and there. Every time we called in, there was nothing but happy people and happy to help and get it done and get us to where we wanted to be. Thryv takes a whole big aspect of the business out of our hands that we don't have to worry about. Aside from the website, they also enroll our new clients and customers to Thryv. They handle our billing and payment services. So far, everything has been fantastic. Their help forums integration with QuickBooks and some of the other apps that we use.     I started through Vivial and then Thryv came on there and started doing their work for them. I stopped the service for a short period of time and then I came back. I called Thryv and reenrolled. The enrollment process was easy, but learning all the stuff that goes with it was tough for me. I'm not real computer-savvy and there's so much of it that they offer that I still don't know how to do and need to be getting with it. We run our social media through them and then they do the click advertising. I used their emails once, but we're gonna have to try and start using that more and make it more productive for us.

    I need to get some results because their social media service doesn't seem to be anything that helps. All it does is market to people who already know me. So unless I really spend a bunch more money on Facebook and those things to make it go out to other people, it's not really effective. As for the click stuff, my phone doesn't ring. My rating is real low with Google. Before, I had been there for 20 years and I was at the top of the list and I constantly had emails and calls. But I stopped the service with Thryv before and now that I'm back with it, I'm at the bottom of the list. I don't get any calls. I've moved my website to Thryv so everything can be coordinated. I don't know if there are things that need to be done to my website. I don't know what it is, but I'm not getting any calls, and I'm in trouble. But right now, everything that Thryv offers, they're doing it. It just doesn't happen overnight.

    My experience with Thryv was good. However, we had a couple of hiccups with the texting 'cause I wanted to be able to use my landline for people to text in and I could get it through the Thryv app. That was a pain in the butt. But after that, everything worked okay. Andrew was great. He answered all my phone calls, got back to me in a timely manner and was able to fix a few things that I had problems with in the beginning. Their service was valuable. It was just some of the stuff was really inconvenient. I would have to enter my schedule into my computer. Then I'd have to enter it into Thryv’s. I'd have to enter it twice.

    Thryv gave us a presentation on what they offered, so we decided that at that time, it was the best thing to do. The rep went in depth on what Thryv could do for us as far as website advertising. He was very detailed. We did four more in-person presentations. He came up with a plan that would be suited for us. Business has been slow, and I don't know if Thryv has kicked in. But I hope it would get better because we're trying to get this off the ground, and if I couldn't afford to pay my guys, I couldn't afford to have Thryv either. But if you're starting a business, Thryv is something to look at.

    Thryv has a really nice Contact Resource Management, and it's a good program. What I like most about Thryv was the software is very user-friendly. They were very helpful. They were very good at training and we had as much help as we needed. I liked that. There were a couple of things about the software that didn't work through the mobile app, but I was in the office. So, everything I needed worked fine. Customer service was very good. You'd get a live person, and they'd help you immediately. You can stay on the phone as long as you need to. There is no time limit.

    The overall cost is a little pricey. We had the Premier Plan, so it was about $350 a month and that was a lot of money for a new business starting out. We stopped using them because of the price. What I realized is that you can pare down the program and pay less per month, and they didn't ever offer that. I wish they would have offered that in the beginning because we are a new, very small non-profit company. I would definitely refer them to new small businesses that are concerned about taking care of their customers and their contacts.

    Thryv seem to do fine with our website, but they're a little more distant than the other company we worked with. I never hear from anybody at Thryv. I get a few emails. It's not that we have any problems with them, but I don't hear from them like I did the other company. Thryv bought out who we were previously signed up with. This gal used to call us a few times a month to just check in. We very rarely needed anything, but it was nice to know that she was watching out for our website. And anything we did need, she was on it. Thryv is not as responsive.

    Sometimes, Thryv is really great, but sometimes they're really not. I'm paying $350 a month for them to hold my website. They helped me set my Google up. Google kept kicking me out, and they were able to help me get my Google account going. So, that was very helpful. It's just they're not really keeping up. Last week, my app was frozen for a few days. There were updates I would like to make. We had professional headshots done and I can't get them to upload them. I sent them an email last night about setting up a meeting because I've been asking for almost four weeks to upload the photos, and then I realized I wasn't in Maps. I haven't heard back yet. The service was definitely better in the beginning. Also, I have another company that keeps offering me 79.99 a month to do my website, so I feel the 350 is high. It is because I use their CRM, but I really don't use their CRM. It's just one of the things that you get when you work with them.

    Thryv has been very valuable. I have a one-stop shop for everything that I need and everything's on one integrated place. It makes everything more streamlined, and I have a lot less stress. There are templates that I can work with and I don't have to spend hours doing everything. It's made by hand myself in writing out estimates and invoices, so it was taking me hours upon hours, and now, it's minutes. Thryv has been wonderful. I have our website, Facebook and emails set up through them. I'm also using ThryvPay.

    I have my representative's phone number and I can text or call any time. Every question that I've had, he has always had an answer, and if I needed anything, there's always somebody to help me.     My direct person with Thryv is great. The main reason I have stayed with Thryv is because of her. I can call her morning, noon, and night, whether she's on Thryv time or not and she has responded. Good customer service on her behalf. She has always went out of her way. If I called her, she called me back within a reasonable time. Normally, within at least 24 hours. Anything that I asked her about the business to do, she has done it. I wanted to lower my plan. And she's supposed to have been working on it. But I had to wait until the deadline. I had to have it for so many months before they could cancel it. But I wanted to cancel something from Thryv.

    The website and my CRM are great. But the advertising was something that I do not understand how to use to grow my business. I could use that 250 and put it somewhere else. But there were times when I've had problems with my email with the back office that I needed to change, like my website, and I've had problems getting in contact with the right person. But as far as helping me to stay organized, helping me to be able to have that one-stop shop for me to do all my day-to-day business stuff has been great.

    A few things that I felt that could have been done differently as far as just getting the person to understand what they exactly bought or what the service is, having a better package together because everything is separate. You pay for this and that, instead of just having a package deal that gave you the works. And customer service, if I could not reach the person that I needed for that department, it could be a hassle. Other than that, Thryv is great for organization, and reliable as far as they are a reputable company. They will do what you ask them to do. It may not be at the expectations that that they should be, but they are a reputable company that will do the job. And they're trustworthy. Nobody would lie to you or try to get over on you.

    Thryv would go out of their way to train me up on it. They give a nice training program. And they constantly ask, “What questions do you have? Did you have any trouble?” I called customer service when I switched over to ThryvPay, their in-house credit card thing, and it was quick. They take care of the website. They put that together. That's one of their base things. And super happy with that. Looks awesome. And they'd take care of the social media presence. So, they often post. It goes every six weeks. I'm sure that to a certain degree, over time, they would cater it a bit. But just to make sure that I like everything that's in there, I go over the post. And I can edit them. They give them to me a month in advance. So, I got plenty of time to take a look at them and make sure that everything is the way I like it.

    We were with Thryv, but I canceled because I wasn't given all the full details and it wasn't suited for my company. The invoices and keeping track of customers was great. The service works itself. The problem is investing in a lot of money and I expected for Thryv to help increase revenue. I added on a service on top of what I was already paying, but what they presented isn't what I got. The first half of the price, the 199, was fine, but I don't see the value in adding on the second part of the 199 for the marketing. It was more or less of like doing Google and Facebook and paying for it through Thryv, which was pointless 'cause I can pay for that outside of Thryv and save $200 a month.

    Crystal, the person that helped me, was awesome. She answered all my questions, and when she didn't have the answer, she found it. She was the reason why I stayed with Thryv much longer to find out more. Initially, it was not for me, but she's been a great employee. She gave every detail that I asked for plus more. She told me stuff I didn't know about Thryv that helped me. When I was trying to do more with the marketing part though, I spoke with Victor, and he didn't tell me that with adding on the marketing part, we had to stay within contract for six months. I was very disappointed with that. Overall, even though I was dissatisfied, the system works. It's just that with my company, it's not worth paying $500 a month for that.

    I use Thryv, and Brandon, the guy who handles my account, is amazing. He goes over and beyond to make sure that I'm happy. On the other hand, the people that are over him, not so much. Thryv’s platform and the way they do business is not the greatest because we're in a bit of a tussle right now about what they owe me. They’re not performing properly.

    Typically, in advertising, when people spend a dollar, the goal is to get as many dollars out of it. $3 is a low number, but if people can get $3 out of a dollar they spent, they've at least made it through to the next month. If they get $7 out of the dollar, they've done even better. I spend 10,000 a month on my roofing company and 2,000 a month on my deck business with Thryv. For about four months straight, we got about four jobs that were not paying the bills. We needed full roof replacements, and we were getting just repairs.

    There's a lot of moving parts with Thryv, so instead of me dealing with one person that handles my account, I deal with four people. Those four people have 15 other people that deal with what they want done. So a lot of things get missed. We moved locations and we've been here for two months. On the deck side of the business, the location address still hasn't been changed, but it has been changed on the roofing side, and that's because Brandon and I sat there on the phone one day for a few hours. Instead of me doing stuff like growing my business, I was on the phone with him making sure we got everything done.

    We're just not on the same page of the whole point of spending 10 grand so I'm not having to do stuff like that. Another thing is with the leads coming in. We want 10 good leads to get one solid lead. It's the law of average. We have to see 100 to get 10. Thryv refunded me money back on two months for their lead program, but the way I look at it, I should be getting back four months. We've been on the phone hours at a time trying to fix all this, but it's very difficult for them. The guy named Aaron is the problem. He is very good at changing the subject. When I tell Aaron something, he tries to justify what they've done or what they're going to do later to make up for right now, but later is not the problem. It's right now and what happened before.

    I need things to be fixed for those four months and right now, but Aaron keeps talking about the future, and to me, the future is not good enough. I've already spent the money. If I took $10,000 from someone's bank account and told them I was going to do something for them and didn't do it, wouldn't they want their money back? I've even said that to Aaron, but he changes the subject when I say it. He'd tell me something else, like what they're doing and their new software that's coming out. That doesn't change what I've already spent for something that I didn't get. I was saying that over and over, and he just doesn't get it. Since he's getting his check regardless, it doesn't matter, but for my check, that's not the case. We've already spent money.     The customer service at Thryv has been good. Since we're just learning how to navigate and utilize a lot of the tools, they've added value to the company, but I don't think the value at this time meets the cost. The cost is a bit higher than many other companies and vendors for the services that are being provided. The initial cost was great with the training and all of those things and the setup, but a continued fee, that's a bit much. We're considering doing something different. I also think we need to see if there's a way to change our package, ‘cause I don't even know if there were some packages that were offered to me. I was just told, "This is how much it is." But the staff has been amazing. They’ve been reachable, approachable, and knowledgeable. I'm very satisfied with them, so I would recommend them to a friend.

    I like the software that Thryv uses. The software setup that they have for me to create invoices and estimates and start campaigns with my customers is easy to use. It's professional when my customers see it. So, I like that a lot. Also, the website they designed for me was good. I'm only one month into their lead program. I have QuickBooks too. It does the same thing except all my bookkeeping is done through QuickBooks. I wish they did more of where I would be able to keep book records on profit and loss through their same software. Other than that, the stuff that they do for my business through social media has been good too because I don't have the time to keep up with it.     Thryv’s software is not compatible with the type of industry I'm in. I already have software that creates all our invoicing, estimates and paperwork and the process of trying to implement it through Thryv creates an extra five hours’ worth of work on each job. It's not worth our while. So we just utilize Thryv for the website. I like how it was done. The person who initiated my contact with Thryv made sure it met our requirements. If it wasn't for her and if we would have just gone with the normal process that Thryv does with their customers, we would have dropped out. But the individual we worked solely with works magic.

    We're country folks and 99.9% of our business comes from word of mouth. However, we have people who look up things on Google and have found us because of the Thryv website. Out of 150 jobs, only 5 of them have come from the website. But I got it so people could verify the business and go there and it gives them a show.     Thryv made a phenomenal change on our website. I don't have a lot of time to go through the software yet. But that was what I was just on there with Noel and Teresa about. With ThryvPay and the other things that I have access to that I don't know a lot about, they’ve provided the information and contacts that when I have issues with that, even if I can't get a hold of them, I can get a hold of somebody 24/7. That's unheard of because 24/7, it doesn't matter. It can be three o'clock in the morning, but I can call somebody at support and I got something going on. That's a big deal.

    Thryv has been, for the most part, fantastic. I did submit a ticket for me to reach out to them. I wish that they would have gotten back to me. I do like Thryv. It's everything that I need and I'm happy that I got the recommendation to use them because they are great. I originally was using Jobber and Footbridge Media and they're both great, but the value-to-dollar ratio with Thryv versus the other two is unmatched to get a CRM, a payment processor, and have automatic social media posting and built-in email and text blasting and everything all in one alongside with the website and the GMB integration and the review system. All of it is for 300 bucks a month. That comes out to $3,600 a year for everything they need and that is an unspeakable price in regards to having to go out and get all the different services.

    Overall, I liked the dollar-to-value ratio. I don't know anyone who's doing any better and I even got calls from other companies. I get three to five calls a day from all these different social media marketing companies and they just say, "Hey, am I talking to the business owner or whatever?" Sometimes, I'll hear them out. Whenever I do, I'm like, "Okay. Well, do you have all of this for less than $300 a month?" They'd say, "No."

    Thryv is managing my advertising. I paid $200 a month for this client software stuff. But I'm paying 90 bucks a month for a program that's freaking fantastic with QuickBooks. If I wanna do a customized advertisement for my company through Thryv, they wanna charge me extra so I just stick to the pre-packaged stuff. It's slow when I click between different pages. I wanna keep track of customer notes but it seems a little bit antiquated. I use my notes feature on my Apple phone and it's infinitely better than the note feature thing that Thryv has on their program. I'm never wowed by Thryv. So it's a not well service that when I have wanted to do extra things with it, they charged me for it. I need to look at other programs and see what else is available. I got a charge of $10 once that didn't make any sense to me, and I reached out to Thryv a few times. But no one ever got back to me.

They could do things to make it work better for us but from what I've seen, they've not even tried do that. Also, they took everything from our QuickBooks, which would be all of our customers for several years, but when we would search them in their scheduling system, they wouldn't come up. It makes it way more frustrating. The gentleman who dealt with us the most was awesome and if the product worked as well as they said it would, it would be awesome because they have a lot of good ideas and there are parts of it that would be really wonderful.     Thryv is supposed to be running my business by using social media. There are just a bit of features I didn't understand about how Thryv holds the money that I get paid from my customers. I didn't know the difference between a credit card and an ACH. I didn't know that ACH holds my client's money for seven days for some odd reason. Also, it was like I lost my customer support with them because the lady I was using went on maternity leave, and they didn't get someone to replace her. It was hard for me to make changes to my website. I had to keep calling the 1-800 number and go through all these loops, and talk to like five different people just to make a change.

    The service works, but it's too expensive for a first-time business owner, and I have to end up canceling it. It helps, but again, when you need to make changes, you don't have support. It's inconceivable for the person that I started with to be nowhere to be found. I got a rep after I paid and that person was very helpful but she went on maternity leave and hasn't contacted me. They're supposed to help smaller businesses like mine that are like a one-man show. I was trying to use Thryv to help out with payment and scheduling my clients’ time slots.

    Calendar-wise, there's a lot of confusion on both my end and on my customer’s end. Some customers say they had a hard time looking for time slots or signing up. Still, some customers sign up right. I have to constantly keep sending out invoices to people. I have to close my calendar out or even attach it to the calendar. The only benefit that I see is it posts my Facebook stuff on social media, but it's not connected to my Instagram.

    The customer service has been awesome. Whenever I have had questions, I contact Thryv and they get back to me right away. I love their program too. When I put our clients on our calendar for our jobs for the day, the client gets a text the night before reminding them that we are coming the next day, then they also get a reminder an hour before their appointment. Our clients love getting notifications of when they are scheduled. Also, the invoicing is awesome. We can do all the invoicing through Thryv, which we love also.

    Thryv is very valuable to our business, especially the invoicing. If we do not get paid for a job right away, then once that invoice is in the system, the customer gets a reminder once a week, the following week, stating that they still have that outstanding invoice and if it is not paid in so many days, there could be a 5% penalty on that.     We use Thryv sparingly. We use two different CRMs because Thryv doesn't do everything we want it to do, but it does a lot of what we want it to do. My partner decided to migrate us over to Thryv from HubSpot. Once we were in Thryv, we realized that Thryv didn't do everything that we needed it to do. We use HubSpot because we can generate emails in the HubSpot and track when people open them and when they reopen them. So, it gives us an idea of when we start a campaign when people open emails and then when they reopen them, which is helpful, because then that allows us to reintroduce ourselves. Once we see somebody has referenced something, even if it's been a couple months later, it’s like an invitation for us to find a way to touch base with them again, and that's something that Thryv doesn't do.

    But then again, HubSpot doesn't create websites. Ideally, if there was one product that did both, we'd be very happy. We have looked, and there is not one product that does both. Thryv's customer service, for the most part, has been very positive. People are attentive. They seem to be knowledgeable of the product. And every time we have an issue, it seems to be solved in a timely manner. Thryv’s service has been fairly valuable.

    A lady that lives right around the area was messaging me Facebook liking my work and she works for Thryv. I ended up talking to her about their service and I liked the fact that she was local. Any time I had problems or any questions I had, she would meet up with me in person, bring her laptop and so on. I didn't have to worry about talking to someone somewhere else. She was always there to help out in person, and that meant a lot.

    Thryv's service is pretty good and I really haven't had too many issues with them. Any time I want to change something on the website, it's one call and they do it right there on the spot. We use Thryv to store all of our estimates, keep up with what we spend, and how much we're getting in. Then we can look back and it lets us know when we've missed picking up checks and so forth. The only thing is, they're partnering with Wise Tech and I wish that for the financing, there was a way that you could take 50% of the financing upfront and once the job's complete, have the customer sign off for you to get the rest of the payment. Other than that, I couldn't have made it to where I'm at now without Thryv.

    I was looking for an easy to use CRM system for my client and got Thryv. But it did not work out great for her. It was more because she was someone who was not tech savvy to begin with. So it was not an issue with Thryv. I wound up using Thryv myself though. I found a lot of it really compelling. But I've had struggles with it since. I love 60% of it and then the 40% drives me out of my mind. For instance, there is no sales pipeline. Most other systems have that. It's very difficult to operate a business when you have to put everything into a CRM and one of the top three most important functionalities doesn't exist. Overall, it's a good system. It's not a finished product in my opinion. But it's one of the better products out there.

    They have a new system that they have not provided existing clients, but they are providing to new clients. I've heard two sides of the story. One is that there were a lot of bugs and they didn't want paying customers have to deal with the bugs. To that point, it's great. But it's been a while now. This is supposed to be a cleaner, easier system that integrates multiple things and it improves the usability. So at what point does that make its way to the paying clients? But for a small business owner, especially somebody with less than five people, price-wise and functionality and usability, Thryv is exceptional.

    I really like that the person who handles my account is in Minnesota where we're based out of. She does a lot of house calls, comes to my office, and helps out with lots of things.     My experience using Thryv was good at the beginning. They fixed several of my sites throughout the web, the listings and so on, making sure that everything is accurate. We were trying to fix the Google page, which they were helpful with at the beginning. So, we did accomplish some things. I like the scheduling of social media that you can post to multiple sites. That's good. I'm not too happy about the advertisement and sending out stuff with text messages. It's a bit complicated. Other systems are much easier to handle. Cost-wise, it's expensive for what I'm using it for. Customer service also upped the charges. They made an extra charge for support, which I think should be included in the price you're paying. Support has been all right, but it's not the greatest.

    I was looking for someone who would handle my advertising, and I came to Thryv. I was looking for something that is just like the Yellow Pages. "You put an advertisement out there. We advertise it for you, sir." I didn't know that I had to keep up with it, change things, and do this, do that. I just wanted my name to set out there. I'm more of a field rat, and the technology of Thryv is too tedious for me. I didn't understand it. For me, it's too technical. If I was in an office, I have somebody in the office who monitors the text messages, and it's great. I'm just lost in the computer era. So, there's nothing wrong with the technology if you can use it. I really like Thryv. I just don't know if they're pushing me to get up at the top because I don't know that field.

    I talked to a rep one time and tried to explain and she said, "Well, if you wanna get up the top, you need to do this or you need to go a different route," which would have cost me more money. I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as I can. I don't hate them. For the amount of money I'm putting out, I don't think I should spend almost $400 a month. I'm not even using a lot of the facilities they have. They could say, "Hey, Wilfred, we've been noticing this package that you have, you're not using none of these. So why don't we restructure your package? 'Cause you pay for a lot of stuff that you don't even have a clue what to do." Sometimes I can't even open up a package.

    I would still recommend Thryv to a friend if they can handle a computer. I love their credit card feature. However one time they cut me off, and I didn't like that. They cut me off without notifying me what it was. They sent me emails. I barely check my email. What happened was my credit card was renewed. All the dates and stuff had changed. So, if somebody had reached out to me verbally instead of texting me and sending me stuff, it could have made a difference. We had to make a payment right then for we didn't run a credit card, and that wasn't nice.

    I'm not 100% impressed with Thryv. One of their representatives had reached out to us, and we sat down with them. As a new company, I felt that was the right move to make at the time. But now, it’s not exactly what we were thinking it was going to be. Thryv is not a bad product. If someone is wanting just a basic website set up, with someone who monitors their social media, they're great. But as far as what I would need it for, it's not beneficial to us.

    We're a plumbing service company and we use Thryv for scheduling and invoicing. It is not very much user-friendly as far as invoicing and estimating building jobs. We're looking at possibly canceling it in the next month when our six months commitment window is up. We've got a guy we're assigned to, and I email him. But I like face-to-face interactions. I like sitting down with someone and going over everything instead of on a zoom call. I don't have time for zoom calls because I'm either at my office, which is at my house, with four kids running around, or in my truck, heading to a job. Every time we've reached out to them, it's, “We gotta schedule a Zoom meeting." I don't mind scheduling things, but I wanna sit down with someone face-to-face. I've talked to more local people that can help us get on a better system with someone face-to-face.

    Thryv is a good service. It's helped me communicate with people better and design the website better. Overall the experience has been mostly positive, but there've been a couple of hiccups. We use the SMS texting through our phone line to communicate with patients, and Thryv all of a sudden needed this document signed confirming we were authorizing to use SMS. They had the wrong information on the document. I kept trying to get them to change it. They kept saying, "Sign it. Sign it. Sign it." We only had two or three days which was a short notice. Our SMS got discontinued for a few days. We can't have the SMS discontinued. I had everybody starting to be trained to text instead of calling over and over again and leaving a message if I can't answer the phone.

    Thryv finally corrected one wrong thing. The name of the business didn't even appear on it and they had my old cell phone number as a contact number, which is no longer anywhere in Thryv. It seemed they pulled the beginning information when we first enrolled with them on that form. None of it was up to date. It took a while for them to at least fix the phone number. But they didn't fix anything else. Finally, I sent them a signed copy so we could get the SMS working again. They have a guy that's helped me with training and he's helped where he could, but a lot of stuff is out of his control. I had a few questions about some of the setup, and when I called customer service, they couldn't understand the problem that I was describing. I had to try to talk to Jacob about it. Sometimes he's able to get an answer.

    With the texting feature, it's a lot easier to communicate with patients. Also, I put the appointments in there so they get texts, email notifications and reminders for their appointments. We had our records portal which was very unreliable. It didn't send reminders like it was supposed to. I was happy when we had this new service with Thryv that patients can get reminded a lot better. It's cut down on no shows.

I use Thryv for invoicing and calendars, and CRM is the number one thing I use it for. The CRM was a huge thing for me because it was all in one spot and not my phone. So, the idea of combining everything was very, very beneficial to my small electrical business.

    I've owned the business for 13 years now and I've been very stuck in my ways of using six different apps to do what Thryv does in one. So, Thryv combines all my other little ways of doing things into one system, which is incredible. The transition changing over to Thryv was very, very smooth. When I dealt with my onboarding rep and account rep, it was amazing. My onboarding specialist was Kyle and he was phenomenal. I had 40 meetings with him all through FaceTime and Zoom, and walked through and handled stuff. But he's also a busy man and he doesn't just have me. He was my onboarding specialist that had a bunch of different people.

    Thryv has a system called ThryvPay, which was not the smoothest process for me coming from a company like Square. My clients were getting double charged. The payment wouldn't go through. They just have that done spinning wheel. My clients that trust me were complaining about how the payment system worked. But my account rep wasn't versed in the inner workings of how ThryvPay was working. So, their feedback was to call tech support but that is a dead end every single time. I have never had a positive experience with the support center of Thryv. I had two extremely negative run-ins with their tech support. I will never call their tech support again. They are rude and inconsiderate. They treat you like dirt. But the software itself and what they do and my direct contacts are phenomenal. But they're lacking empathy and customer service on the follow through. I can't always get ahold of my onboarding rep and account rep.

    I like that with Thryv, within the general area of where I operate, there's an actual physical person I can call, text or email if I have any issues or I can go online and communicate in the chat as well. I use booking, estimates, email, SMS, and messaging. They do my web services as well. The service has been good. I've only been in business in this capacity full time for a year and two months, and I've been using Thryv for around five months right now. I'm hoping that in the next year, my business is gonna pick up because I have a bigger presence online when people are searching for wildlife removal.

    I haven't heard anybody say that they've contacted me through my website, but they have said that they found me on Google. I'd like to see more of people contacting me through the portal itself and booking appointments that way. I haven't had anybody book an appointment with me in that capacity yet. There's also the clientele that are mostly my customer base. I've had a couple people that with my previous software, they booked online and they paid online before I even got to the house, which I thought was cool. I have had one or two people with Thryv do the same thing for my house call fee. There was additional service fees after they accepted my house call, and I got out there and found some other things wrong. I gave them the invoice and they paid right there on the scene, which is cool.

    That's on the younger generation from the ages of 25 to about 50. When you get above 55, there's a technological challenge for the elderly. They use their phone to make phone calls and text, but they're not aware of using their phone to pay a bill. I've got one lady I'm working with right now. She's been making payments by check rather than going online. I asked her, "I can do the ACH transfer every month on the 21st.” She did not want to give me her bank routing number and bank account to put in the software. She doesn't trust the technology.

    I've been doing this wildlife removal full time for a year and two months. I just recently moved to my current location, which is in Greensboro, North Carolina. I've been doing this wildlife removal as a side hustle for 21 years, and I've never used a software before. I would recommend Thryv. In fact, I've been asking people what kind of software they use if they have a personal business, for entrepreneurs, and I always send them an email with the link so I can possibly get a discount if they decide to go with Thryv. If there's one thing that I was disappointed in, this may be because of my lack of showing of growth within the company in such a short span of being full time and that is, they offered financing for my customer base is what I was told I was going to be able to do.

    One other thing was when I'm in the software and I wanna email somebody, I can email them with no problem but say I'm in the email window for Johnny and I'm doing an email for him, and all of a sudden, I remember I had to go back into my notes on another screen within Thryv, go to an invoice to get some information off of that and when I leave that email screen to go back to, my email that I already edited and then put it in place is deleted. It doesn't save a draft at all. I found out about that about a month and a half ago. I just wrote a paragraph and a half. So, after I wrote the next one, I went back in. I started all over. What I did was I copied and pasted it to a word document just in case. Sure enough, it deleted it again. I put a request in about that caveat if they could actually state emails in draft form.

    Whenever I have to do a scheduled meeting, it's nice because the Thryv rep follows up and reaches out to you, and asks if you need a meeting. So, the actual response for a phone call, a Zoom meeting, is awesome. But the Contact Us section on their website goes to a support team that doesn't know what they're doing and always claims that it'll take a while for things to get done. So, if nobody's gonna be there on the Contact Us section and they're just here, then I would remove that because that's a negative thing to the company. I reached out probably at least a week ago to change the price on my website from 100 to 75 for private, and nothing has been done. And that's happened before. So, I don't even bother going through their website on the contact section because it doesn't work. If Thryv would fix that, it's almost a perfect service.

The lead generation is not as high as we had expected and with as much money as we spend on the site, you would think that we would get a lot more. Also, we get a lot of spam calls from it. Another thing is we don't use their calendar because they do not have what we need as a company. They only have one calendar and we use four or five calendars.

    I was contacted by a very professional gentleman named Ed who arranged a demo for me, which impressed me. Prior to Thryv, I messed around with several marketing programs but none of them gave me the ability to simplify my marketing and be able to do email and text. Thryv did a very good job of not only doing that but showing me they would do social media for me and also create a fabulous website that would allow me to connect better with my customers.

    Originally, I signed up for a basic plan but Thryv had some features that I really wanted and they said, "We'll just upgrade you to a professional plan," which they did. I had an ongoing conversation and we did excellent training. I had problems with the system. One time there was a gap in one particular field on my website where people had to contact me and they couldn't. I contacted Ed and he had it fixed in 15 minutes or less. One time I was getting on a plane to fly to Europe and I called him. He contacted support and they fixed something pretty much on the fly. Thryv is fabulous as far as supporting their clients. I have an ongoing relationship now with Ed who's helped me in marketing and whenever I wanted to do new things, even though I'm not in the training portion anymore. My experience with him has been fabulous. I would recommend him to anybody for this purpose.

    Thryv has been very valuable to my company. Before, I didn't have a comprehensive way of communicating with my clients, announcing events that I had, and then following up with them. Thryv is a very comprehensive solution for me. There are some new things that Thryv has that I'm trying to negotiate to get into my thing. They're doing some more advanced things and I'm just trying to get additional value. I've been working with them for seven or eight months now and I'm spectacularly happy with what I'm getting out of the system. They created an excellent website for me.     There are some points that I like about Thryv. It has been great as far as scheduling is concerned. The one issue that I have is when I send out an invitation for people to schedule, they cannot get a 502 listing for me. I don't understand why. People know my number so they recognize my number. So if I send them an invitation, they might think it's some type of scam. I'm stuck with Thryv for the next few months because I made a commitment to do it at least six months to see how it would work out. I'm not happy with that because I don't see what's the difference in me having my number there or someone else's number. They still haven't been able to explain that one to me. Also, they've been trying to get me on social media but I haven't seen a lot of results with that. They haven't even made a phone call to check in to see how things are going.

    My main thing with Thryv was the website. They redid my entire website and they edit whatever needs to be updated or changed. They were good with that. They enhanced my website and it's more detailed. The pictures and the entire background look very good and presentable. It goes with my business name and I like that. If I were a client looking for cleaning services and I saw that website, it would draw more interest to that company because of how the layout is.

    My business adviser reaches out to me often just to see how my business is going. He informs me about the Google reviews, making sure I stay on top of it and respond as soon as reviews are posted. He also checks on my organic search and lets me know where I'm ranked every week. He gives me advice on what I need to do to enhance my business.

    Thryv's services have been extremely valuable. Before I had them, I did not rank as high as I am now on the organic search on Google. They helped me with that. My website is also attracting more clients because of how Thryv revamped it. I wasn't getting much traffic on there. People were viewing it but it wasn't as much as it is now.

    Thryv is really good with announcements. I can create different promotions, which my business adviser also gave me advice on to attract more clients. I was to send out a Google review post to all of my clients so they would also like to leave a review. There's also using the calendar and booking my clients. The clients are all getting reminders twice prior to their appointment, which is very good.

    I like the good communication with Thryv too. Whenever I need something, they help me right away. It's not like I gotta wait a week or two. Give Thryv a try. The pricing could be a bit challenging, depending on what package you use. But the more you work with them, you're gonna realize you're gonna start getting more clients. Eventually, you're gonna want another type of service added on there. I've been with Thryv for a while and they mentioned SEO.

    We use Thryv for marketing our beef. And we're doing great tags and some of the other services that we have going on. Chris has been phenomenal. If there was anything I couldn't get resolved or needed to resolve and I couldn't get it through the other channels, I've always been able to reach out to him. And he makes it happen.

    The product is great, but dealing with some of the tech reps a bit aggravating. Doesn't seem like they know exactly what's going on or even listening to the customer on the other side. For example, I had an issue getting in to edit my page. It went on for a month. Finally, I had to call my sales point of contact to get him to correct the issue. Because I used an Apple browser and the tech kept telling me that was my problem when it wasn't. It was a log in issue, being able to get into it to edit it.

    We did not get any response through the website. I don't know what they do on the other end as far as the advertising. But it didn't seem we were getting very much attention with the website early on. It didn't start picking up until we kind of started marketing the website ourselves and sending it around. Now, we're doing better than we were with it. But it still lacks a bit to be desired. We haven't fully got what we needed out of it. But we're gonna get there.

    I really like them and they've been very helpful but I haven't seen the increase in business or inquiries that I was hoping for. I got my LinkedIn results and the views went down and the Google My Business didn't go up as much as I was hoping. Without seeing results, it doesn't make good business to continue.     I met a Thryv representative at a BNI meeting local to me. She approached me with a convincing enough sales pitch. She presented it in such a manner and backed her sale. She was much more than just a salesman. I took her call and bought Thryv. Setting up with them was very seamless. She was very, very hands-on throughout the onboarding process. We use the CRM side of Thryv and I hired a part-time marketing gal to help assist with that. It didn't really turn out very well, not on account of Thryv, but on account of my staff not being actively involved enough. The original automated social media posts were very generic, and we had to adjust some there. The CRM side of it was moderate to good. We actually presented some software and feature changes to Thryv. These suggestions are to modify the software slightly to fit some of the things that I'd really like to see it do from my user perspective.

    I do like Thryv. I haven't had a lot of success with them, but that's only due to my own negligence. I'm still using Thryv, but there is a point where I need to put in some of the work that I don't do, so I haven't had as much success doing it. I can see where it can be awesome. It's just me not putting in the work so it's not working. My Thryv agent is my favorite. She's very helpful. She answers my phone call almost every time. I love her to death.     I run a not-for-profit on the side of my business and thought we should look at Thryv and see if it would work well for our system. We were really in the dark ages and we needed a new website. I thought, "Why don't we just do everything all in one place?" Our experience with Thryv has been really good. The process of making our reservations has been a lot easier since we've been working with them. I love that when somebody makes a reservation for the meeting, we'll get a text a couple of days before that'll remind us, "Hey, the meeting's coming up." And then, we'll get one the day of saying "Don't forget about the meeting." That's neat.

    Customer service has always been excellent too. There's an 800 number that I can call and they show me how to do things, which is really valuable. Sometimes, that saves time because if I already know how to do it, then I might not have to wait and call the 800 number. Customer service would also say, "Do you want us to do it?" This could be changing something on the website. They're very respectful of our time and they say, "If you don't have time, we can put that file on there for you." The price for their service is pretty reasonable.

    I'm utilizing the calendar and credit card processing through Thryv. They also do my website and my social media. Steve is our agent he is very helpful. Sometimes too helpful at times. Every time I've ever called him, he's answered the phone or called me back within three minutes. However, I hope the calendar could be a little easier to use or not so dependent on WiFi. I use the calendar when I have a secretary person scheduling jobs for me. But when I'm just scheduling jobs for myself on the fly, I just use the Apple calendar on my phone because Thryv takes too long to load. I don't have time to deal with that when I got a customer on the phone.

    The card reader is a little clunky because I have to reconnect it every time. It doesn't connect automatically once I turn it on. I gotta go back and put in my password just to run a credit card. It would be easier if I just stay on the Thryv app and punch the credit card into my invoice. But it's been really good once I got it working. The tool is useful and it helps me keep track of everything. I'm an auto detailer so I use them as an appointment scheduler and processor of my credit card stuff. Customer service is great. Any time I have a question, I call up. There was a little bit of a learning curve but they walked through that during the on-boarding. The only thing is that I would like to adjust something and I can't figure out how to do it.
