I was very happy with my Tesla Model Y until I had an accident. It is exactly one month and 22 days since the body shop ordered the parts from Tesla and they didn't receive any response. Tesla part section even doesn't tell them anything about the approximate time of part delivery. I loved Tesla but right now I changed my mind. Tesla just wants to make the cars and sell them and they don't care about service after selling at all. My accident was in July first and I was waiting for the insurance decision up to Sept 8 (They were also very slow: the co-operative insurance). On Sept 8 the parts were ordered by the body shop. Today is October 31 with no response. I suggest others not to buy a Tesla.

I was a big fan of Elon Musk and even bought shares of Tesla. Please take responsibility for every employees of you. At least you can reimburse the customer who lose the money by your team. I bought the Tesla car 2 days ago from online sales team. They fraudulently told me that after purchasing the extra package of $12000, I will have a summon system. (What I really need it) Now I found out that we don't have a summon system. Now all the customer service or managers are making stories the feature will come in future but no time is known. But what about my $12000 extra I paid? And now no one is giving back my $12000.

Stop lie to the customers. It's a big happiness for us buying a car and you guys ruined it. I work 12 hours a day. Earn money through hard work. Everyone is rude. Customer service or dealer. The dealer told me, "If you want to take the car that's fine or leave it here. We don't care" and left from the premises. And said "We only do delivery." Tesla has the worst service in the world. Like how fraudulent Elon Musk took my money. Learn my lesson. It’s all about money and advantage by rich to poor. Hope same way he lose the money. Then he will understand my pain. I am highly susceptible to motion sickness. Within 15 minutes of being in the car, whether I was driving or a passenger in the front seat, I felt sick. This is due to the one pedal driving. The constant need for micro adjustments in pressure on the right pedal to maintain a steady speed is the reason. We were really excited to buy a Tesla. We cannot buy one now. We will never buy a car that does not allow us to turn off the OPD. Turning it down to a lower setting is not enough. I really hope that this the philosophy Tesla is embracing of OPD completely does not overtake the EV industry. We need an EV where I can turn off the OPD and use regenerative braking through pressure on the brake pedal. My limited Internet research shows that it is difficult to find a ev where you can turn off the OPD completely. This is very frustrating.

Tesla customer service is atrocious. I purchased the car following the instructions of someone by text. I drove 5 hrs forward and 5 back to get the car and they couldn't locate my payment. They blamed on anything (me, my bank etc) but themselves. I spent an entire day there because they cannot even talk to each other, but they need to communicate by text. They found the payment as soon as I left. The car arrives with a dent. Months before it could get fixed. I had to drive another 5 hrs forward and back twice.

I also asked to fix a rattled noise and when I got the car back the noise was still there. I asked for a mobile service and after days of back/forward (always by text) they finally agreed. The issue was identified by me. They need to order a part and now they want me to drive another 5 hrs x 2 to have the car fixed. But - hey - I can stay there while fixing the car so that I have to drive another 10 hrs in one day for a problem they created and they couldn't fix!

Title: The Deception of TESLA: Overpriced and Underwhelming Electric Vehicles. In recent years, the world has witnessed an electrifying revolution in the automotive industry. Electric vehicles (EVs) have taken center stage, promising cleaner and more sustainable transportation options for the masses. TESLA, however, has managed to overshadow this noble pursuit by robbing EV car enthusiasts blind with its underwhelming offerings that come at a premium price. Recent significant price drops have only shed light on the scandalous tactics this car maker has employed in creating and riding on an overhyped wave of excitement.

At first glance, TESLA's electric vehicles appear to be the future incarnate. Sleek designs, flashy marketing, and promises of cutting-edge technology draw in eager buyers. However, my experience is that: these cars fail to live up to the hype.

One of the most glaring issues is the exorbitant pricing. TESLA seems to have taken a page out of the luxury car playbook, pricing their EVs on par, if not higher, than premium and luxury vehicles within their respective segments. It begs the question: why should consumers pay a premium for subpar quality?

Let's start with the interior. For the price you pay, one would expect opulent luxury and impeccable craftsmanship. Unfortunately, TESLA falls short. The interior quality is often disappointing, with cheap materials and a lack of attention to detail. Even vehicles that are considered mid-range within the brand's lineup fail to match the interior quality of cars that cost significantly less from competitors.

Suspension and driving quality are equally underwhelming. EV enthusiasts expect a smooth and quiet ride, but TESLA's offerings often exhibit a harsh and uncomfortable ride quality. The suspension feels unrefined, resulting in a jarring experience on bumpy roads. Steering lacks precision, making for a less enjoyable driving experience compared to rivals.

Moreover, the comfort levels in TESLA's EVs are a far cry from what one would expect given the price point. Seats lack proper ergonomic design, and cabin noise can be surprisingly high, given the electric powertrain. The overall ride experience feels more in line with budget cars than the premium-priced vehicles TESLA claims to produce.

What compounds the disappointment is the fact that I have taken the time to test drive several models from TESLA, hoping to uncover the hidden merits that might justify the brand's popularity. Unfortunately, the feeling that this car maker is nothing more than a sham only intensifies after these experiences. Recent significant price drops raise suspicions about the legitimacy of TESLA's pricing strategy. It suggests that the initial pricing was not grounded in the true value of the vehicles but rather inflated to capitalize on the EV hype. As these prices plummet, consumers are left questioning the integrity of the brand and the true worth of their investments.

In conclusion, TESLA has managed to rob EV car enthusiasts by offering vehicles that are overpriced and underwhelming in quality. Despite the initial excitement generated by their flashy marketing campaigns, the reality is that their offerings fall short in terms of interior quality, suspension, driving experience, and comfort levels compared to more affordable competitors. Recent price drops only serve as a glaring indication of the deception that this car maker has perpetrated upon its customers. It's high time for consumers to demand transparency, fair pricing, and genuine quality in the world of electric vehicles.

I just returned a Tesla model S long range off a three year lease. I can put aside that you never can speak to anyone when you have a problem with the car. They always give you a month before they will fix it and after about 2-3 weeks fix it through the internet. Seems like they should have done it immediately. Had a flat tire. They texted me that I had to agree to three things:

    1. They needed to tow it to a repair shop.
    2. To fix it $121.00 plus tax.

    3. If unfixable $320 to replace it.

I had to agree to all three. I said No. They texted me back: "Good Luck." Had it fixed locally for $25 with a $10 tip. Had to replace both front tires to turn it in at $220 each locally not $320 each. Good luck to them when every car manufacturer is developing better cars than them, Porsche, BMW and even Hyundai!

Any savings from owning a Tesla quickly evaporate at these service centers. Do not be surprised in the future to hear allegations of insurance fraud, parts swapping, exorbitant price estimates for repairs and all-out price gouging from the Tesla service centers because Tesla has done a piss poor job of keeping out the ICE mechanics which destroyed the automotive service industry and which are now out to bring lawsuits upon the otherwise stellar name of Tesla. It is a resurrected and undying mentality.

If Tesla fails it will be the service centers which bring them down. And as an investor in Tesla stock, I am reticent. I don’t like to lose hard-earned money. And- I don’t know- I don’t get the feeling Tesla are aware of how much these damaged people are determined to destroy their company name, and based upon on that ignorance are likely to cover-up scandals which arise from their service centers, deeming them as one-off events when in fact the problem is quite systematic.

I purchased a Tesla Model 3 Performance 2022 for $70,000 after taxes in June 2022. Unfortunately, Tesla recently reduced the price by approximately 15.7%, causing my purchase to result in a loss as my car is now worth less than the new prices. When I attempted to sell the vehicle, I received incredibly low offers ranging from $29,000 to $36,000, resulting in a loss of around 50% in just one year. This indicates that the car's value will be exceedingly low in the market in the coming years.

Furthermore, the warranty service provided by Tesla is terrible. I scheduled an appointment due to a noise in the front, but they informed me that it was normal and that the noise started a month ago. When I tried to go to another dealer, they wanted to charge me $167 because Tesla does not cover unexpected vehicle noises under warranty. As a result, I am now stuck with a 2022 car with noises that I cannot claim because it is not covered by the warranty.

My suggestion is to wait for a better EV vehicle with a decent warranty that prioritizes taking care of customers over making money. Tesla does not provide loan cars, making it impossible to do any kind of DIY mechanic work since they are the only ones controlling the parts. After all this, I decided to sell the car and stop supporting a company that doesn't support the customer.

I wanted to badly to love my new Tesla. Purchased a 2023 Tesla Model 3 in February 2023. First, their virtual customer service was the absolute worst experience. I actually wanted to buy a car that was available in the state of NV (I live in AZ) at a dealership but the representative said I could not buy a car outside of the state I resided in. What? Since when? I would have registered it, etc. in AZ. That representative was very rude, hung up on me numerous times yet I was stuck with him if I wanted to buy any Tesla. A ridiculous system.

I finally just settled on a different Tesla Model 3 that was available at the Glendale AZ dealership. Wasn't what I originally wanted but I settled and was still excited. Went to pick up my car and the dealership representative at the Glendale AZ dealership would not spend 10 minutes with to explain the car, features, and how to drive it since I was not at all familiar with driving a Tesla. Basically handed me two key cars and "have a nice day."

Fast forward five months later and I have an issue with my AC not working correctly at the height of the heat in AZ. I used the app to make a service appointment (you have no choice) and unlike others that talk about the service rep coming to you, I had to make an appointment at the Glendale AZ Dealership (not choice). The soonest appointment was two weeks away and again in the heat of summer in AZ. After finally waiting the two weeks, two days before my appointment, I received a message stating the service department was backed up and I would have to leave my car and it may take 4 to 5 days before they could even look at it. They could not provide a loaner car but would provide a $100 Uber Voucher.

Really? What was the point of making an appointment two weeks in advance to have to leave my car for 4 to 5 days before you could even look at it? Terrible customer service all the way around. They simply do not care. There is no way to file any complaint. Tesla simply does not care. This is why there are so many complaints about their customer service. It is non-existent. Pros: Stylish, handles great, easy to learn to drive. Fun car. The experience of buying a Tesla is delightful - something no other car-buying experience comes close to. It was simple, straightforward, and fast.

Cons: The experience of owning a Tesla borders on a nightmare, for me almost immediately. So many issues with the safety of this car and thus far I've had no way to fix them. Tesla keeps telling me they don't have the parts. One safety error that came up on my vehicle (you are notified via the car's dashboard) is potentially life-threatening when driving the car. Tesla has not been able to tell me I can safely drive it but also doesn't offer any replacement vehicle nor have they even come out to fix it. I expect this car to be recalled.

Tesla has no service centers you can connect with other than via an app, which is difficult to use and there's almost no availability. Within the first 6 months, my Model Y had a major airbag malfunction that rendered the passenger seat dangerous to use. Nearly 4 months later, Telsa has yet to fix it. They keep saying parts aren't available, and refuse to answer my questions on whether the car is safe to drive. They've only said it's "an issue with the safety of your passenger seat airbag." Does this mean it will deploy suddenly and potentially harm the passenger? Does it mean it won't go off if there's an accident? No idea.

My vehicle also has some screws missing in the steering wheel but they don't allow you to go to the service center for this. They've had issues with steering wheels falling off, but there's no one to tell you if your car is safe. The windshield wipers also do not work properly (best I can tell, the sensors aren't in the right place). Finally, they want you to use your phone as the key. This has never worked correctly for my phone model, and the cards they offer as an alternative are clunky and hard to use - key fobs from the 90s are better than this.

In my experience, if you have an issues with a Tesla, even a serious one, expect no details and no one available to fix it for a long time. You will not get another replacement vehicle, and you may not get any information on whether your car is safe to drive. They seem to live by the "fail fast" motto of tech but when it's a car defect that could kill your family, this is irresponsible.

Bottom line - This is a good car for someone without children, who is okay with a riskier and potentially unsafe car, and has time to deal with trying to fix regular issues with weekly communication over an app. I wish I was alone in this, but it seems they have regular recalls and I expect this model to be recalled within the year.

I have had my Tesla for four-and-a-half-years, 110,000 miles. My only repairs have been a couple bottles of washer fluid, a new set of windshield wipers, cabin air filter, and two new sets of tires cause I love to drive her hard! Through FREE Over-the-Air updates, my car keeps getting better over time, Sentry Mode, Dog Mode, constant Self-Driving updates, tons of safety updates such as being able to check out the surroundings of your car on your phone app before walking into a dark parking lot. Tesla constantly analyzes crash data then they reconfigure brakes and seat belts through Over-the-Air updates to give drivers the best chance of avoiding/surviving a crash. My Model 3 even got a free software upgrade in 2019 that gave it more range and made it quicker, and there is an paid option to make it even faster.

All Tesla cars are manufactured with all the hardware needed to make them Full-Self-Driving (FSD) vehicles, so if you are not into that when you purchase your car, you can alway add the Full-Self-Driving function by just purchasing the software in the mobile app. You may either purchase the FSD package upright or you can just subscribe on a monthly bases to try it out or to take that long road trip. I Love my car, unlike all other cars, my Tesla was the worst it will ever be the first day I drove it off the lot! Through free Over-the-Air updates, my car keeps getting better every day!

The Model Y has been a game-changer for me. I would argue this is the best all round vehicle you can buy on the planet, not just the best EV. I used to drive a Honda Accord and I thought I had a pretty good vehicle until I got to drive a Model 3 and a Model Y. The Model Y specifically stood out to me because of its utility. I rented a 2022 Model Y LR for a long road trip (~4000 kms) and ended up deciding to buy one as my next car. The vehicle is incredible and packed with seamless technology. Most of which can only be found on a Tesla.

The instant torque, incredible safety features, loads of power and no range anxiety because of Tesla's reliable charging network that’s everywhere now. If you haven’t driven one I highly recommend you rent one and do a road trip with it. My cousin has an old Tesla and he says the battery is still holding up reasonably well for its age. Their newer batteries degrade only around 10% at 250k miles. I’m loving my new Model Y and could not imagine living without a Tesla vehicle. This is the iPhone moment for automobiles.

I've owned my Model Y for 3 years now. With the over-the-air software updates my car has gotten better with age adding new features and better safety for free. The driving experience is remarkable with the instant torque, quick acceleration, low center of gravity, great handling and one pedal driving. Autopilot has been amazing on those long road trips taking the stress out of staying in lane and managing speed especially during traffic jams. I love not having to carry around a set of keys with me as my phone locks and unlocks the car automatically.

Waking up each morning with a full charge and never having to stop at a gas station is fantastic. Service on the car has been minimal with only a few minor things that were all taken care of under warranty, very quickly, and typically done through mobile service where they come to the car whether you're at home or at work. Tesla's software and supercharging infrastructure is so far ahead of what other manufacturers have to offer. Everything adds up to the Model Y being the best all around vehicle!

I have never had so many quality control issues with a car, even with my first car in high school. Weak panel clips that cause just about everything to pop apart, cabin air filter designs that encourage a terrible mildew smell that Tesla refuses to recall, the display with all of your driver info restarting while driving and taking a full minute or two to reboot, wildly inconsistent panel gaps, the thinnest and weakest exterior paint, and countless other “small” issues have made up my entire two year lease of a *brand new* Model 3 Performance with now only 20k miles.

The worst part of it is that you have an even lower quality service team. All of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, one of the most populated, is crammed into scheduling between one of two service centers that can handle these types of problems. Expect months wait to get it, longer for parts, and god forbid paint and body if you’re in any type of collision. The cherry on top of it all was Tesla’s decision to force leases to return the vehicle instead of buying it out or selling to a dealership. All so they could take advantage of the hot used car market and keep that profit for themselves rather than allowing lessees to make a dime of their cost back. I once thought I wouldn’t own another make of car, but now I can’t possibly imagine ever touching a Tesla again.

I often describe to acquaintances that switching from a traditional car to a Tesla vehicle is like when you switched from a "flip phone" to a smart phone. The smart phone and Tesla vehicle are paradigm shifts. The vehicle handles mundane tasks today like using your phone as a key/remote control, it knows when you are in the car and adjusts to you, it predicts what you are going to do and just does it for you. After driving a Tesla for a while you really notice all of the little mundane things a traditional car requires you to do. The car also updates over the web like a smart phone and new features continue to be added to it.

Additionally, with full self driving capabilities available, the car can drive itself on any road in the US- right now, today. It is only getting better as releases download to your car every few weeks. So these are now the safest (5 star on all vehicles) and smartest cars on the road and the starting prices are around the average price for all vehicles.

Clean, well thought out interior and controls. Over-the-air-updates mean my car gets free upgrades with new features for free. No other car company does this. 5* crash rating across the board. I want my family in the safest car on the road and this is it. No more gas. Not having to fill up at the station anymore is freeing. I have driven this from DC to Maine and back, Florida and back, and Kansas and back. I didn’t have to switch drivers because it was less fatiguing with autopilot/FSD beta as an assistant. Definitely much safer experience since it was much less tiring and so I was more alert at the end of the drive.

Spacious. I am always amazed at how much I can fit in this vehicle with the inclusion of storage space in the trunk and in the subtrunk. I have the 7 seat option and have traveled with 6 people with luggage for everyone in comfort. Zero emissions. No more noxious exhaust fumes. Near zero maintenance. I only need to replace the washer fluid and the tires. The brakes (unless you are track driving) should last the lifetime of the vehicle due to regenerative braking. My late 2022 Model Y is the best car I have ever purchased or driven. The experience to purchase was literally the easiest and completely changed my desire to ever step foot into a dealership again. The car is comfortable and the sound system is the best I have ever heard. This car is all about making the experience fun for the driver and passengers. It is faster than anything I have driven and cheaper to fill up than anything I have driven. Many other benefits over gas cars, such as waking up with a charge ready to take on most days, and for road trips the Tesla charger network is ubiquitous and second to none.

Teslas are also designed to be the safest cars on the road and are built to need as little maintenance as possible. Tire rotations, changes, brake fluid checks, and windshield wipers and fluid. That is about all that needs to be done. This overall experience is why many Tesla owners tell the tale that once you get people in the seats of their vehicles is changes their mind on electrified vehicles and especially those built by Tesla. There is a reason that the Model Y is approaching the goal of being the best selling vehicle (gas/EV) in the world as it already is in so many countries already.

I got the Tesla for the technology and safety, but what I love the most is how amazing it is to drive. I use Autopilot 99% of the time on the highway (it drives for me). It keeps me centered and is great for stop-and-go traffic. It drives safer than me. The automatic braking and beeping when there is a risk of collision has saved me from fender benders. It has helped keep me in my lane HUNDREDS of times. I’m a distracted driver. :o

The instant response (zero lag) when you hit the accelerator makes it a real pleasure to drive. When you lift your foot from the pedal, the electric motor does the braking instantly without you needing to move your foot over to the brake and pressing down. This saves a half-second when braking. OK, the best part is waking up to my Tesla charged up early morning. I never have to go to the gas station again except to take a dump.

Amazing vehicle. Like having an iPad on wheels. Over-the-air updates keep it fresh. 0-60 acceleration is like a rollercoaster. Tesla service has been pretty amazing. Nothing compares to the supercharger network for long road trips. My next car is an EV but not just any EV, a Tesla EV. Don't knock it until you drive one. Yes, it's minimalistic on interior but I don't need a thousand doodad plastic bobs and buttons. Software is the future and the UI is clean, responsive and feels like using an Apple product. Great for everyday driving and can charge around 40-50 miles just on a regular plug at home, no need to install a special charger.

My wife owns a Tesla Model S. She loved the car until things went wrong. At 60,000 miles the car quit on her. Tesla claims it is a total failure of the "driving unit". The car totally locked up and had to be AAA towed to Tesla. The replacement cost is $9500, not covered under warranty. Even more amazing is that the vehicle has no trade-in value to Tesla. Does anyone need a used lithium battery?

I took my Tesla Model Y that I had just bought a few days ago for service center in Irvine to repair the rear seats' headrests which were rattling when they were in higher position. The rattling would stop where the headrests were all the way down to the lowest position.. After the mechanic confirmed the rattling noise he said that this cannot be fixed. I said in that case it is a design flaw. While I was discussing that issue, one of the service advisors told me that the person sitting in the back should rest his head on the headrest to prevent it from rattling. That comment was so ludicrous that I am still laughing at that comment.

After a few minutes the mechanic came back to suggest that he can try to fix it. So I sat in the lobby for an hour or so, then he came back and said he fixed it. I asked how did he do it he said he wiggled the headrests to fit it in place. I picked up the car and I noticed that now the headrests are a few inches up but they do not function properly. They now can not be adjusted to either up or down. Now I have a brand new Tesla with defective headrests.

Purchased a car from Tesla. The windows don't go down, the car accelerates by itself, and has phantom braking. Customer service is a joke, refuse to fix issues or take the car back even though it has <100 miles. On top of that the price has dropped by over $20k since I purchased it just a few months ago. Do not buy this car under any circumstances, you will regret it.

Updated on 08/08/2023: I complained over and over and got the ** that it was impossible to transfer to a new vehicle. Like an idiot, I bought a new Model S, Then I was in shock to find out just days later after delivery that Tesla is offering a transfer of self-driving software now if you buy Tesla this quarter. All the salesperson had to do is tell me to wait like five days. But they kept up the lie, no transferring. But the greedy Elon/Tesla still won't transfer mine. No appreciation for returning clients. I will never buy a Tesla Again. FYI the 405-mile range is more like 250. Also, the cars catch fire very easily. Advice, never ever pay the $15,000 for self-driving, if you get hit or car burns you're out the $15,000 for the software, even after only one day, and insurance companies do not cover the software. So very disappointed in Tesla and Elon.

Original: Hello, I prepaid for the self-driving package years in advance, and finally, I got just a beta version, a few weeks later, I was involved in an accident by some idiot who decided to turn head-on into traffic. The car was totaled, so I decided to go down and buy a new Tesla. I was surprised to find out that now they want an additional $15,000 prepaid for self-driving software, even though I had bought it before and never got to use it.

This is very, very bad business for two reasons: First, I would never pay for anything in advance again with Tesla. Anyone who does is a fool like me. If anything happens to the car, you just wasted $15,000 for nothing. Second, If they had let me transfer the software license to the new car, I would have bought it. But now, with so many options, I am open to purchasing an eclectic car from someone else. I think it is a huge mistake not to transfer self-driving software from one vehicle to the next. PLUS, if you did, that would be a serious motivator to buy Tesla again and again. Tesla is missing a golden opportunity to lock in returning customers. Very short-sighted on Tesla. FYI, Lucid is looking very good!

“The measure of a company is not when things are going well but rather when there is an issue that needs solving.” Tesla has (and is) enjoying a good run. Perhaps that is why their poor customer experience has gone under the radar? Or perhaps since the dealerships have been eliminated there is not a “face” of the company that cares enough about the customer to resolve issues? Whatever the explanation Tesla's end game is “pay us more money so we can resolve your problem and get you back on the road”. That came directly from the Bellevue service manager. If you are the handful of Tesla owners that never have a problem then please move to the next review. If you are considering a Tesla we suggest moving on to Lexus or Audi. We have owned them both & both are outstanding cars & customer experiences.

I thought Saturday was going to be a great day as I picked up my brand new 2023 model Y Tesla. I had done my research, test drove a vehicle, watched a number of video tutorials - I was ready to go! I went to the Chesterfield MO dealership and signed the papers. Everything seemed fine as I was driving down the interstate. However, as I got near Busch Stadium, the car just started to decelerate. Some weird things showed up on the dashboard about the emergency brake being deactivated and I’m just trying to hit the gas and it is not moving. I ended up in the fast lane on the middle of the Poplar Street bridge with a car that wouldn’t move! I was panicking and tried to call the Tesla dealership to ask what I needed to do.

I ended up getting the phone directory nightmare and pressed the number for service. It informed me I needed to go to service through my Tesla app only. I called back and asked to go through sales. It would ring and no one picked up. I called 911 as I am hearing cars slamming on their brakes around me to avoid hitting me on the middle of the bridge! 911 dispatched an emergency vehicle and they towed/dragged my new car off of the bridge and parked it on the median at East St. Louis (the tow guys were FANTASTIC).

I finally got through to Tesla and they just said I needed to tow it back to the dealership and they could look at it on Monday since the service department was closed over the weekend. I explained again that it was a BRAND NEW VEHICLE JUST OFF THE TRUCK - what on earth was going on? I told them I could have been killed on the Poplar Street bridge. There didn’t seem to be much concern, he just told me to have them tow it. I said “I can’t even get it started - it won’t go out of park.” No help again. I finally contacted Tesla support (text only, by the way) through the app to get emergency tow service. They sent me a link so I could reset the dashboard. It didn’t work. Then I was informed there will be a two hour wait for the tow to come. All via text - no person talking to me. The emergency roadside assistance gentleman said I should get a friend to pick me up and bring me back out to the Tesla dealership.

When I got to the Chesterfield MO Tesla dealership, they seemed very casual about it. I told him I had been trying to reach the dealership to figure out about the tow and whether I should come back to the dealership myself and no one answered my call. He informed me, “Well, we had a lot of people in here about 20 minutes ago. We just couldn’t pick up the phone - it should have gone to the National line. I’m really sorry”. How is this Tesla service? I am appalled at the terror I had to experience because no one would talk me through what I needed to do. Horrible, horrible, frightening nightmare experience. Buyer beware!!!

They clearly said you don’t qualify and denies for Tesla loan based on the fact that I’m a for hire service driver and they don’t approve financing for Uber Lyft drivers. There are 1000s of people with same title and they are ordering Tesla wasting their deposit fees if they want to finance with Tesla. Tesla knows and never mentions in their order agreement the condition that to qualify for Tesla loan there is exception for transport drivers job applications.. they hide this and if you apply being a transportation driver and order giving your deposit then they will definitely deny you and you will lose your time and efforts and deposit money for sure. First let me say I do not enjoy writing negative reviews as I too am a business owner but people should know about this. I do apologize about the length of this review. I had a delivery date of a MY on Feb 6th-one day prior I got a text saying the car would not be there then and moved the date till Feb 13th…OK there could have been logistics issues since it was a Fremont build…I get it. On the 13th I go to the Tysons Location to get the car. I was told once I went in the red door around the side, "Go inspect your car and if you like it accept it and drive away." I did inspect it and everything seemed fine except I noticed some issues with the paint that appeared to be under the clear coat.

I got a representative to come out and take pictures-It just so happened she was also in charge of the paint shop and made a ticket for me and said it would take 2-5 days. I left the car. Asked for Tesla to get an Uber as my wife came with me but had other commitments in Tysons. The representative said she would be in touch with me throughout the week to let me know how the repairs were going and possibly they might get the car fixed before 5 days. Yesterday I finally did get a VM from the Tesla representative that they did not have the issues straightened out and they were going to push the delivery date out. I looked in the app and it is now Feb 25th….Come on they can build one of these cars in like 1min.

I am fairly certain what happened was they did nothing and saw me on the delivery schedule for the next day and actually started to get these issues in motion to be fixed. The Tesla rep did not contact me during the week and only did the day before delivery. This review was earned and with this experience I would advise to pick up at a different location. Their QC at the Tysons location did not initially catch the very apparent paint issues and their response has been far from acceptable. Bad reviews are usually earned and they earned what is the lowest possible rating with behavior like this.

Vehicle was great, but as soon as I passed the 50,000 miles threshold (only by 3K) the whole vehicle started failing, due cold weather, the heating pump and multiple sensors failed including the auxiliary 24V battery. Be advised that each repair cost around $4800. Just diagnostics by ti self are close to $1000, plus towing the vehicle is another $460. Those “savings” in gas, you are going to spend it in parts, or if not you are going to have a non-operational vehicle sitting on the street. If you don’t mind paying that every time the vehicle has an issue, go ahead and buy one.

So I took ownership of my Tesla Model Y less than 2 weeks ago and have had a horrible experience with Tesla's quality/customer service to get my issues resolved. I had a cracked windshield less than 24 hours after taking delivery of the vehicle. Then I schedule an appointment to have the windshield replaced (at my expense) and the first available date is 10 days out. On the repair day (today), the technician shows up more than one hour late (outside the 7 am-noon service window).

I had to follow up with Tesla service to see if technician was still showing up; they did not let me know the technician was going to be late. Then when the technician checks the new windshield he says it is cracked so he can't do anything about it and I will need to speak to Tesla Service to find next available date to get windshield repair as they don't have extras. Tesla claims it is a great EV car company but they clearly do not know much about customer service or quality. I highly recommend a buyer consider buying an EV from more well established car companies rather than Tesla.
