We were shipping my husband’s car to Seattle because we gave it to our daughter who was living out there. I went on ConsumerAffairs and looked at the ratings and ShipYourCarNow seemed to have the best rating and reviews. We dealt with a specific agent and he was really helpful. He was waiting for a truck to become available and they had a bit of stormy weather in the mid-West but he kept us apprised of the situation. When he got a truck, the timeline was exactly what he said. Then, the two guys came with the big truck. They couldn’t get down our street so we brought the car down to them, which is less than a mile away. They put the car on, secured it, and it was done. So, it was all fine.

I bought my car off of Ebay and looked for a transport company to do the shipping for it. I called a couple of different ones and ShipYourCarNow was available. The guy I dealt with was very straightforward and matter-of-fact but I liked that he was honest. He explained some things about some of the other car companies do that are not very honest, and pretty much what he said was exactly what they ended up trying to do. He pointed out some things and steered me in the direction that I was not going in a very good direction with another company.

The transport organizer, Steven, is a nice guy. I like him very much. However, he picks what goes up on the board and that’s it. Their people are all qualified and have insurance but some of them are jerky. I didn’t like the Russian people at all because they don’t speak good English. We had lousy communication. They tried to get the money at the other end when it was already paid. But that has nothing to do with Steve. Next time, I want to know who's coming to pick the car up.

He told me he can get it for me for $1,200 which was fine but then he didn't tell me there was a $400 commission that I had to pay him. Also, I could have dropped it off at the other company, left it for days and there'll be no charge. He told me I could do the same thing and then he told me it's $50 a day to storage. It was really deceptive and the representative totally misrepresented everything.

The dispatch told me one thing and the carrier driver told me another. They originally told me there would be a two-day window when the vehicle could be picked up. And I had to have the vehicle picked up no later than Sunday. I also didn't have enough advanced notice when the car was to be picked up nor could I get a commitment on the date and time. So, that was a little disappointing. But he did show up on Sunday and we got the car before I flew out of town.

However, the Philly transport that transported two of our motorcycles was absolutely horrendous. That was somebody we would never use again. As the driver marked the motorcycle, he marked a fly on the windshield as a scratch. And the way he had the many x's on there looked like somebody took a fork and scratched the bike. When he took the motorcycles, his trailer was in fine condition. It was a beat up big old long trailer, but there were no dents or holes in it. When he brought it here to Florida, there were two huge, huge dents on either side at the front of the trailer. So, obviously it jack-knifed.

So I was wondering if I had signed up with a bad company that took my car and would never get it back. Also, I didn't know that I was getting brokered out. It was just bad customer service. I'm not happy and I would not recommend them.

Then I lost communication and have to call and beg for information about when and how my car is going to ship. He said my car was going to ship in 2 weeks as of late January. The ship date was exactly February 15th, 2017. On February 14th, I called Rubin to make sure my car was still going to ship the next day. He said everything was good and ready to go, and that he will send me an email with my tracking number to track the vessel.

During the transport, all my cars were damaged and they took no responsibility for the damages that were incurred. The driver documented it on the bill of lading that I signed when the car arrived. All I got from ShipYourCarNow was, "We'll give you a discount on some future transports." They also said what they would do is not use that transporter again, but that doesn't help me. Busy Bee Transport said, "It's below the deductible so they'll take us to small claims court in Georgia and then that case gets taken over to Dallas, and you'll have to win the case there as well." They're the ones that are culpable the most by far.

The car was purchased in Illinois by a friend and had it shipped back to California where I live. The person that picked up the vehicle was very care taking of the vehicle and was knowledgeable of what needed to be done. However, when the vehicle was dropped in California, there were no communications about the time it was gonna be dropped so I called the office and they transferred me over to another person but that person wasn't there. I had to wait and call back again. That took two hours because the guy was supposed to call me back and he never did.

I bought a boat in New Jersey and I needed it brought to Arkansas. The driver and I walked around the best we could. He didn't get to my place until dark but he would have stayed over and brought it the next day. So we just met in a well-lit parking lot. It was a good experience overall.

However, it went a little bit rough with the carrier drivers. First of all, they came a few days later than they were expected to come. Then my boat was on a trailer not a hydraulic ramp. So they were telling me to order another tow truck to get my boat off of their tow truck. I said no and they kind of left it in my field but that should have been under their scope of the job. Other than that, everything went well. It was an easy transaction and I was happy that the boat was here safe.
