I was moving from Maryland to Louisiana for my job and I have three vehicles but my wife and I could only get two cars down. I needed to ship the third so I emailed Ship a Car Direct to get a general price range for my transport. Everything was great with the customer service representative. He called me only a few hours after I submitted the request and was very knowledgeable. He was able to explain to me the steps and what he recommended. He told me he would let me know once they had found a carrier and called me back to give me the day, the company, the time and went over some things to me. He asked me some things about the vehicle as far as if there were anything that I had stored in it. I explained to him that I had some bins in the car, in the back and front seats. He did some recommendations for me to either get them out of the vehicle or put them where they wouldn't be seen and we went from there..

My wife's in the military, and we were moving and I had two cars so I needed a transport company. The reviews on Ship A Car Direct were the best. Their online quote calculator was not really that great because it gives you basically what the cost was. They were a little higher than many other shippers as well but what was important to me was picking up at my house and dropping off where I wanted them at the delivery place, and being on the same truck the whole time. I got daily emails from their customer service representative who kept me informed all the time and answered my questions when I had them.

I had bought my son, who is in the military, a car up in Rhode Island where I live and I needed to get it down to him in Texas. It's a huge distance and it wasn't worth driving the car down there so I looked in to getting it shipped. I opted for Ship a Car Direct because they had the best ratings on the ConsumerAffairs and Better Business Bureau website. They were a little more expensive but I was going to pay a little more money to make sure everything was done right.

I was stranded in Manchester, Virginia, and hired another company that gave a runaround for 10 days. Finally my son went online and gave me Ship a Car Direct's number. I called the number, and the next day they picked up my car and took care of it. Ship a Car Direct was terrific. I had a very bad experience with the other company, but Ship a Car Direct was very good. They followed up and told me the process step by step. Even the driver who was coming to pick up the car called me a few hours ahead to let me know when he's going to be there. The car came and there was no problem.

I’ve had a very good experience with Ship a Car Direct, and didn’t have any problems. I chose them based on the reviews of other people. I was very surprised at how smooth everything went since we didn’t solidify a shipper until a few days prior to the date in which the car was supposed to be picked up. Apparently, that’s the norm, but my tolerance was much, much lower. However, those individuals did that on a daily basis, and the result was more than what I’d expected. I’d recommend them.

It has been a very smooth and on time experience. I am extremely happy to receive my car on the promised day and the driver was really very pleasant and helped me tracking the real status. I would recommend it highly.

I've shipped a couple of cars with Ship a Car Direct. One was in March this year and the service and response were good. They would send constant updates about what was going on so I used them a second time in August. I used their quote calculator to get a general price range the first time and I thought they were competitive so I didn't check elsewhere the second time. The person who received my quote request was David and then he quickly handed it off to another lady by the name of Emily. They were always very responsive and if anything wrong was going on, it sounded like they wanted to resolve it quickly. So my experience overall has been positive.

My daughter was moving from Florida to Los Angeles. After looking at reviews of different brokers I chose Ship A Car Direct and spoke with Matt. He was very nice and answered all my questions. Within hours he had arranged for Scott Auto Transport to haul my daughter's Jeep. And WOW, the guy who came to pick up the Jeep was so nice and considerate. He took pics of the car before it even went up on the car hauler, marked out any damage that was existing and treated that car like it was his own. I would recommend both companies in a heartbeat.

I was skeptical from the beginning to choose someone to ship my son's car at state. I searched Better Business Bureau to find out more about the ratings of some of this shipping companies that I was interested in using. I ended up utilizing Better Business Bureau A+ recommendation companies for shipping cars out of state. I select the Ship a Car Direct they referred me to State Line Trucking company. My son car was delivered properly and the guy by the name of Steve gave us excellent customer service and my son was very happy and pleased with State Line Trucking diligent services.

I was moving across country from Raleigh, North Carolina to Santa Clara, California so I had to ship my car. I checked online and I saw that Ship a Car Direct had really good reviews and there was a very stark contrast between their reviews and lots of other car movers that had really poor reviews, so I decided to go with them since they had the least number of poor reviews. I contacted them directly and they gave me a quote by email. Their quote was way better than the two other quotes I had, which were $400 or $500 more. The whole process with their rep and the delivery was fantastic. The representative was excellent so I was very happy with that.

Ship A Car Direct gave me a pretty good price, but when it came to the shipping guy and locking in the date, everything was scrambled at the last minute because they had difficulties finding a carrier to take my car. It was stressful to get the shipping schedule of my car because they told me that no one was available on the date that I wanted. So I had to wait an extra date and the available schedule was the day before I was leaving for Florida on a plane. There was a communication issue because Ship A Car Direct wanted to ship my car on the first available date. I thought the first available date that they have mentioned was the date that I wanted my car to be shipped, but it wasn't.

This was a great value for coast to coast car transport. Karen was in constant communication and took great care that all went well. And it did. I did compare them on price and they were best. Highly recommend for car transportation needs.

I love the experience I had with this company. I would recommend anytime to anyone in need of transport. The service I received from the time I spoke with Matt was superb. I was advice 2-3 days and it only took two days. My car was picked up from NC on Wednesday and deliver on Thursday in which I was advised at time of placing order I will receive Friday.

I purchased a classic car through a middle man and I needed to get it shipped from Arizona to where I live in Pennsylvania. I read most of the reviews that the customers gave and checked the Better Business Bureau. I called and spoke to their customer service rep, Angela, and I liked her. She had a positive attitude, was upfront and honest about the cost and how long it would take. She knew what she was doing and was very confident. I believe in people who have good customer service skills so I stuck with her and got a quote. It was a fair price. She scheduled the transport the whole way through. The carrier that was chosen contacted me two days prior to the day they were picking up and he's proactive. I was still in Colorado and he texted me when he got to Tennessee, and met with my dad. Everything went smoothly.

The gentleman I was speaking to who coordinated everything was very responsive and did a good job. There was a little bit of difficulty getting the actual pickup time set, but after that it was smooth sailing. Our car showed up 7 days later (going from NY to LA) and drop off was smooth and the car was in perfect condition. All around a great experience.

A few days before I went to look at the car in Seattle, I contacted Ship a Car Direct and they answered all my questions and concerns. I flew to Seattle, WA to look at the car and bought it on a Tuesday. I did a little more research on Wednesday and finally contracted with Ship a Car Direct on Thursday. They picked the car up on Saturday and three days later, it arrived in Houston safe and sound, just as good as it looked a week before.

Don't be fooled by the great reviews. This company is incredibly frustrating to deal with. I placed my order on a Monday for a Friday pickup, but was fine with a Saturday or Sunday pick up as well. On Thursday, I received an email from my rep, Gaby, saying she hoped to have a carrier by Friday and would keep me posted. Well, I didn't hear from her all weekend. So, of course Monday I call, looking for an update. She basically told me I should go with a larger carrier like Montway but to give her a few hours to work on it. I never heard back.

I was getting separated from the Air Force and my wife was deployed. We have two vehicles and the military would only allow me one to pay for. So I had no choice but to move it because I got a 2014 Camaro that I really, really like. I chose Ship a Car to move the car after doing about three weeks worth of research. I was going through the reviews for other companies and they had a lot of negative responses which had no replies. The thing that really caught me with Ship a Car is that every time they have a negative response, they reply. It was nice. "We have no contact." Then he comes back to them. "Hey you know, my bad. Here's my personal number. Call me." So it was Tom responding to everything on there.

Ship a Car Direct gave me a fair quote. The only one thing that I have a problem with is the online $30 rebate. I went into it two or three times and the website never picked it up so I never got it back. That was very disappointing but other than that the move was great. It was pretty accurate as to what they had suggested it would be, so I was happy with that. I would recommend it to a friend.

I didn't have the best experience with this company. Its really got to be hit or miss with their sales people. After reading reviews on multiple sites on multiple companies, I settled on using Ship a Car Direct because they had mostly positive reviews and the negatives were not severe. Well, first off, their communication is really poor. I got their auto emails only. The sales guy I apparently had never picked up the "direct" phone number I was given and never responded back to his "direct" email address. I had a tight turnaround, but in a two-week lead, I expect you to find someone on my cross country route. There are many ways to go to NY from LA... it shouldn't be that hard. Well, I guess it was.

Shipped a 2004 Acura MDX in mint condition and a 2015 Nissan Rogue (Ten Days Old) from Detroit to Las Vegas. Trip took five days as promised and the cars arrived exactly as picked up except for the dead bugs and dirt from the open travel. Found a great detail shop and for $200. Both cars were showroom ready in one day. The total cost $2150 for "Ship A Car Direct" and the sub-contractor. Turned out to be a great deal. Angela (SACD) was perfect in the order and follow up and hand holding I required. Everything went exactly as she promised and her follow up - amazing. I love her - whoever she is.

I spent some time researching auto transport online so that I was in a position to choose a company. I also talked to a couple of broker/carriers to ask questions. I was sold on a firm until the broker suggested using a covered carrier which would have doubled my cost. My opinion is that covered carriers are appropriate for very valuable restored cars.
