After visiting the ConsumerAffairs site I was able to quickly locate reputable yet reliable carriers and came across Ship a Car Direct. Ship a Car Direct was extremely responsive and incredibly on top of things. Everything from being flexible with us as we nailed down when the car would be available to ship to explaining the entire process. Then once we got connected with an actual carrier, the carrier themselves was professional and just really nice to work with. I would absolutely recommend Ship a Car Direct and would use them again in the future.

I did a lot of research. I found the website with all the videos, which was really helpful, and read all the reviews. I used Ship a Car's online quote and it was good. It was a lot less than I thought it would be to move cross-country from L.A. to Miami. The customer service rep was very helpful. I talked to Emily a couple of times, so it made me feel relaxed about the whole thing. She was always there. The whole experience was very professional and efficient.

Talked to Gaby re moving a BMW show car from FL to CA. Throughout the process, she was friendly, professional, and prompt in returning calls and emails. The car was picked up a day early, and delivered two days earlier than expected. The drivers obviously recognized this was a special vehicle. They put it on top in the middle where it would have the least chance of damage from road debris. It arrived in perfect condition. The two drivers took their time to unload with the utmost care. I was impressed with this company from start to finish.

There were some initial hiccups with a pickup time, but everything after that was smooth. Your car will be dirty, so expect that. Communication with Emily was easy. Very responsive to email and phone. If I need to move a car again in the future they will definitely be on top of my list.

We needed to ship my daughter's Jeep from Buffalo, NY to Anaheim, Ca. From day 1 we were kept informed of the progress by email, and within a week or so we were scheduled for transport. When I called with questions I got immediate answers. I learned that you are basically hiring a broker, who then contacts carriers he deals with to arrange transport. Price matters, as you are more likely to get faster service if you pay the going rate, instead of a cheap price. We paid $1400, and the Jeep arrived in good condition in 6 days. We used them again to get the Jeep back to Buffalo. Solid company. Would use again.

They are very professional, courteous, and always standing by to answer questions or provide you an update on your order/shipment status. I have had some bad carriers I've been promised a week and had my car show up 3 weeks late. Wasn't able to get a hold of the driver and when I finally did he was rude. We tried to ship CRV from LA to Orlando Florida in Dec. 19, 2015. Most carrier has 3 target dates. We were worried about the pick-up date not coordinating our moving date. Karen said usually they are 99% guaranteed to meet our target date even though she asked for 3 target dates. They did. They picked up our car on our ideal date. Our CRV was delivered on the Christmas eve. We thought it wouldn't be delivered until after Christmas. I will recommend.

Keep in mind that primarily what they do is book a truck for you within a time window that you specify. They charge a fee for this service. Once that happens they stay out of the way and it's up to you to work with the trucker regarding pick up and delivery. Both times the trucker called me earlier than planned for the pick up. I was expecting it the 2nd time and was ready. Nothing is perfect and the experience will be based mostly on the trucker. We had a great experience shipping my car. The pickup was on the scheduled day. They quoted me a drop-off of either Sunday or Monday. I arrived in Kansas City on Sunday night and upon turning on my phone, I had a message from the transport guy. He could drop off at either 1 a.m. or 6 a.m. I realized that I was only 2 hours from the drop-off location and said that 1 a.m. was fine. I then asked if he was traveling on the same highway. He said yes and that he was planning to stay at a rest area overnight. We arrived at the rest area 2 hours later and my car was already off the carrier, ready to go. We did a quick walk-around and signed everything. It saved several hours of driving and I had my car early!! A very Merry Christmas to me!

The vehicle was purchased at a salvage auction in Texas and needed to be picked-up within just a few days and shipped to Wyoming. The auction ended on a Friday, I requested a shipping quote on the same day with an anticipated pickup date the following Wednesday. The pickup date was set for the following Wednesday because I needed time to pay for the vehicle and for the wire transfer to clear. The auction place will not release a vehicle until it has been paid for including any late payment or storage fees. It has to be paid for in 2 business days and it has to be picked-up within 4 business days. I received the shipping quote also on the same day - Friday. Monday morning a carrier accepted the job and called me to ask if he could pick it up sooner. Monday morning I sent the wire transfer to pay for the car, so I explained to the carrier that the soonest it should be available would be the next day - Tuesday.

Not only did they explain the process honestly, they caught another carrier who had posted my vehicle WITHOUT me ever signing a contract! I found it in another state, so I had to make the decision of whether to drive it to Florida or have it shipped, and I chose to ship it via Ship a Car. The person I dealt with was fantastic. I was a little concerned when she told me that the auto transport would be a certain party, so I looked them up. There are various transport companies with that same name, and the first one I came across had a very bad reputation. I immediately called her and she said it was not them. I double-checked and found the one that she had mentioned. The transporter also did a fantastic job. I ended up tipping him $300 on top of what I paid because he was really good. He was there on time, plus he worked hard for his money. All around, I would definitely do it over again if I had to.

The bid was picked up right away by Ok Auto Carrier, as was the car in three short days. The delivery estimate ended up being right on, and the driver contacted me the day before he arrived so I could be available to take delivery. There was this one guy who called me and he was aggressive, wanted to set up the date. Steven was very proactive so things were good. We figured out the price that I was able to pay and we went from there. The whole experience was really good. Everything from Steven to the people at the carrier themselves when they were already selected and being out, was okay. The pick-up had a little bit of an issue because they didn't explain that the vehicle couldn't be picked up where I was. I had to drive the vehicle and had to take a cab back to my home. Moreover, I was going to give the delivery driver a tip anyways but he asked for a tip and he wasn't satisfied with the tip and made faces, so that wasn't cool. But overall, the car arrived well and everything else.
