I went through Sherpa Auto Transport to send my car to my son. They were very professional and the Auto Transport that was assigned to me were very nice and helpful. The car was delivered in a short time and all were very happy.

The gentleman at Sherpa was telling me upfront what it was and he was comfortable in saying that his company will do this. He was really cool and I liked him a lot. I told him to make it happen. Well, they did exactly what they told me they were going to do. Sherpa costs a few more dollars than what other people were trying to provide. But sometimes, the lowest price is not your best offering.

Although I still harbor regret for not doing the cross-country drive, the Sherpa commitment was implemented as promised. Pickup in California was timely, and delivery in Virginia was exactly as promised.

Having never using a auto transport service I was quite nervous to do so. After much research, and reading some scary stories, I found Sherpa. Still apprehensive about transporting my new vehicle, I chose them. They did an excellent job. The customer service was awesome. I highly recommend Sherpa and would use them again if needed.

I contacted Sherpa and they got back very quickly. That was smart marketing and business practices on their part. Their way of doing business with a customer was good enough that I refused offers from another firm. Sherpa was as good as what they said they would be in terms of getting back with locating a driver. The shipment process went exceedingly well. The estimated time was six days from Santa Barbara, California to my location in Gainesville, Florida. It ended up to be just a bit over three days.
Sherpa arranged for the driver to be at my gate the following morning. The vehicle was delivered with absolutely no damages. It was a superb job. The cost was not exactly inexpensive but Sherpa's fees were in the ballpark with the others. Between the customer service, the delivery time, the lack of damage, and fees, I was very happy with the service I got from Sherpa.

Sherpa gave a quick response to my original inquiry and the quote they gave me seemed competitive enough. The pickup and delivery were both great experiences. I was not there for the pickup, but my agent on that end said it was very smooth. During transportation, the driver stayed at an appropriate level of contact. The delivery was smooth and their guy was very pleasant. He was nice to work with. I’ll use Sherpa again when the need comes up.

Everything worked out exactly as described with Sherpa. The driver called when we were coming in. I gave him a pickup location that was out of the way and stable. He showed up right there within five minutes of his ETA. There was also no difference between the quote I was initially given and the final cost. We had one little snafu where the driver called and said something about the certified check being canceled. That sounded really flaky to me. I called Sherpa and they immediately knew exactly what was going on. They said, "Nope, that was a different person. You guys are all good." I called the driver back and he apologized. He called the wrong person. It all worked out really well in the end. On the whole, Sherpa was not the cheapest one that I got information from but it sounded the most realistic. It was pros all the way.

Sherpa service was next level. Car picked up at the time we agreed on and transported to its destination without an hitch all in all the transition was smooth. They even offered to pay for the washing of my car when I received it. Great service!!

Closed the deal and needed car shipped. My new pride a 2003 Corvette Coupe. I ordered with Sherpa. Next day I received the call a driver would be calling. Hour later my driver called confirmed pick up for the next morning. I got an excellent walk around video of my new car documenting the condition. Two mornings later and the car was in my driveway. It arrived in excellent condition. Thanks to all at Sherpa!

Sherpa did a really good job as far as being able to get somebody almost right away to bring the car down here. The other places that I called were either way overpriced or they were out for about a month in some cases before they'd be able to make a delivery. Sherpa wasn't the cheapest, but it was very competitive and I felt better when I talked to the guy about how they operate. When I first contacted Sherpa, I dealt with Jeremiah and he was very helpful. Then over a week's time or so, they kept me up to date. The guys that they had lined up to bring the car down were available sooner than the guy who had the car. So there was about a four day delay. Sherpa sent emails and then a couple of phone calls for the status of what was going on.
It was my first time having the vehicle transported and it worked out very well. But customers need to make sure they tell Sherpa if it's got to be an enclosed trailer. I did have a brand-new vehicle that I got in Illinois that was transported down here, but it wasn't in an enclosed vehicle. It had a glass chipped in the windshield when it was being transported. But Sherpa took care of it. It was no big deal. But if it had been in an enclosed trailer, then there wouldn't have been a problem. Other than that, the delivery guys were very good. They were pretty thorough. They took a lot of pictures before and after. So we knew everything was fine.

Had a very good experience using Sherpa to move this car from northern Michigan to East Tennessee. We had a very tight delivery window and a little more flexibility on the pick-up date but the professionals at Sherpa made sure it all worked out! Very pleased with the service.

I'm very satisfied with the service, cost and professionalism offered by Sherpa Auto Transport. I was a bit nervous using this type of transportation option to safely move my vehicle out of state. I've read a number of horror stories about automotive shipping that had gone terribly wrong. However, from beginning to end, the entire process was flawless. Sherpa shipped at the quoted price, got the vehicle in a week and delivered it. Their quote was a little higher, but it was a firm quote. With Sherpa, there's no monkey business and most people like that. They were wonderful all the way around. I was very pleased with Sherpa. The driver was great too. He was a down-home fella from Southern Missouri and I shipped to Arkansas. We stood and talked for an hour.

Sherpa was very responsive. I was on a timeline and needed a company that was going to be professional and timely. I could tell Sherpa was very organized and did a lot of auto transport. They gave a quote in a timely manner via email and were very clear on the next steps. They were top-notch. The vehicles were picked up on time as arranged and the drivers were professional. First, we started with one vehicle then we added a second one. Where I lived in Florida, they didn't allow trucks that size so I met one of the drivers at a parking lot nearby. I met the other driver on a residential street nearby that allowed larger trucks. But they were both very convenient, less than a mile from my home in Florida.
Both drivers were communicative throughout and I'm very pleased with how my two vehicles were transported from one coast to the other. They were dirty but the nice thing about Sherpa is you could go get a car wash on them and I took advantage of that. I got both cars washed and sent them the receipt. They credited my credit card $20 for each vehicle. My only complaint is the price was high but Sherpa didn't change the pricing so it was fair. Also, the price was high with every auto transport. I could have found one a little bit cheaper but they didn't seem as professional.

I looked at 3 main shippers to ship my new car from CO to CA. The main “knock” on Sherpa was high prices, however, after getting my quote the next day after requesting one, it was the same as one competitor, and then about $100 cheaper than the other. The customer service was great, and the time it took to get picked up was about 3 business days. From there, it took 2 days to get to me and was delivered directly to my house. Very happy with the experience and would recommend to anyone.

Sherpa wasn't the cheapest company in town but I liked the way that they had a guaranteed price lock that it would not exceed. If something did come up, it wouldn't exceed $300. Also, the reps were straightforward with me, they did exactly what they said they were going to do, and they were easy to get ahold of. They said it could be up to five days before they could get back to me when they get a shipper set up but it was three days.
The driver was excellent and very professional. He was delayed for a couple of hours but he kept me informed of delays on the roads. I requested an enclosed trailer and he brought a perfect vehicle to transport my son's car and secured the vehicle. My son couldn't have been happier with the guy. It was an awesome experience and I would use Sherpa again. I'm very, very impressed with the whole process from start to finish.

I had been working with two companies previous to Sherpa and I had extremely poor experiences. With Sherpa, from the very beginning, it was a good experience. On the initial call, the man I spoke to explained things very well. It was a 30-minute call because I had never transported a car before, so he really walked me through everything. I then immediately got his follow-up email, then every single day, I was getting reminder emails to let me know that they were still working on securing a driver.
It was less than a week until they found me a driver. Once they did, the driver came a couple of days later, and then they transported the car from Texas to California within three days. The entire experience was less than two weeks, and it was a great process. If Sherpa doesn't secure someone within the first couple of days, they'll eventually do it. The problem I was having with other folks is it felt like they completely forgot about me, and then two weeks later, I'd reach out and they would be extremely rude about it.

I phoned in and the rep told me exactly what the cost was and what was going to transpire. He told me about putting down a down payment and then possibly not being able to have a truck go from California to Georgia when I needed it. Then, he called me back to set it all up and everything went great. My husband was really pleased with the interaction with the driver and the vehicle, aside from being filthy, was okay. Overall, the experience was very professional, on time, and accurate. I was very happy about the whole situation because I'd been dealing with movers and car transports. I had a lot of logistics to figure out and that was the only thing that went according to plan.

I had the need to ship my car from NC to TX because of last minute changes in my move. I found Sherpa, and was able to get a guaranteed quote and availability. My car was picked up when promised and quickly delivered. In fact, I had to arrange for a family member to pick it up because it arrived before I did. The driver kept me informed of when it was supposed to be delivered, and he dropped my car at my relative's home. This was a very easy process.

I was very nervous about having my car transported from Florida to Ohio. My worries were for naught. From the time I responded to their text message to the driver dropping off my car, they were courteous and respectful of my concerns. The car was picked up in the two-day window and delivered in the four-day window arriving on the second morning.
The driver was great! He called to give me the time he would arrive and was there as promised. He was so polite and helpful. I was fascinated watching him take the car off the ramp. I wish my grandchildren could have been there to see it. They would have loved it! The car arrived in perfect condition. I feel bad because I don’t remember the names of all the people I worked with, but I suspect anyone would have been as easy and honest to work with at this company. Sherpa had the price and they were responsive and very nice to work with. One time, I called them and nobody answered the phone. They said, “Email us.” I thought, “I'll do that next.” But then a couple of hours later, I got a call from them. They said, “We see that you called us and we weren't able to talk to you, but what was your question?” I thought, “My goodness, they've called me back?” They did, which was great. There was a 3-day window and I wanted it covered. The first three days, they posted it, onboard, and then they had to add some more money to it. But they really kept very much in touch with me on how it was going. Then, on the fourth day, they found somebody.

Sherpa was great and I'm really grateful that they had the woman who assisted me. She was the primary source of communication who was fielding all of the calls and was very reliable. If there was ever a time where a little bit of anxiety was starting to creep in, she was consistent. And so, it took away any of that opportunity. Aside from that, the quote they gave me and the final cost was the same throughout the whole thing and the only discrepancy was Sherpa's agent told me there was a cancellation window where things could be canceled and I wouldn't lose a deposit. But after a carrier was secured, it changed and it was opposite of what the Sherpa agent told me before. Other than that, I would recommend them.

I was moving a vehicle and Sherpa came through. I was working with another company but they never got back to me and I couldn't get ahold of them. Sherpa was more available than that one and getting a transport set up was very quick. It took about a week and the communication was pretty good. They wound up spending some of their money to help me find somebody.

Working with Sherpa was very good. I liked the fact that I could get someone on the phone. They were one of the highest priced but it was explained to me that they were likely to get the job done. Also, I didn't have to pay more than what they told me. I'd recommend them.

I had the best experience. I waited 10+ days for reliable transportation that turn out to be not reliable. I turned to Sherpa within the week that I called my car was on the road to California. The driver was very friendly, responsible, and kept me informed, even when his truck got a flat. But, he did what needed to be done and got my car to California. I would recommend Sherpa Auto Transport to everyone.

The arrangement was easy to do. Driver arrived on time and was very efficient and pleasant to deal with. When he arrived at the drop point he assisted my sister and was very polite to her. He even instructed her on how to operate the since she had not been in it before. Good experience overall.

Sherpa was mazing. They communicated well and got back right away. Whatever they quoted me was what I paid and the company that transported the car was unbelievable. They had a respectable driver with good communication. It was a high-end BMW 7 series that I brought to my home and he was very careful with it. The reps were friendly and helpful. I had done so much research that I already knew a lot of what was going to happen but they answered any questions I had and they reassured me that they would help me along the way. So, I didn't have to worry about anything. If I had any questions after we completed, I could call them back. I was happy. I got cheaper quotes but they didn't include everything like insurance. With Sherpa, there was no extra. The driver picked up the vehicle on time but I couldn’t have it delivered when he arrived because I wasn't there yet. So, he had to wait an extra day. So, it would have only been four days. The driver kept me updated the whole entire time everything that was going on and what time he was gonna be here. He called me when he was an hour out and we made arrangements on where to pick it up. So, I knew exactly what was going on.

It took Sherpa three weeks to get a truck located, which wasn't their fault, but it made it difficult. They ended up having to change the pricing because of not being able to locate a driver, but it ended up being the price that we were quoted. They also handled the car fine and it arrived in good shape in both directions.

From the initial phone call with a Sherpa agent I knew this was the company I was going to use to deliver my M2 Competition from Washington state to Ohio. They answered all my questions and provided high level of communication throughout the entire process. I greatly appreciate Sherpa for their high level of excellency, willingness to answer all my questions, and prompt delivery. Sherpa's pricing was good. When you're shipping a car, sometimes you would get bid and somebody will bid lower. But then they might undercut themselves and take forever for them to get a driver. I've never had that problem with Sherpa. I ship a ton of cars with them too. As far as their customer service, it's pretty good. Because of the pure amount of vehicles that I ship, it would be nice to have an easier way for me to do it. But it's fine. Make sure that you're going with a company that's reputable. There are a lot of people online that are in the space, so I like to stay with the larger companies. I recommend Sherpa all the time. I own a business where I'm a car buying service, so 40% of the time I have a shipment, I use Sherpa. Every time I need to ship the car, I at least give them the opportunity to win.

Sherpa’s quote was on par with what I was expecting and given all the things that are going on right now, with the pandemic and a shortage of drivers, everything was reasonable. A family member was able to oversee the loading of the car and the trucking company got it into the enclosed trailer fine. I was present at the delivery and I got to be part of the operation where they unloaded the car and did a once around check like they did at pickup to note the present condition of the car and that there were no changes during the transit, so that went smoothly. They were very professional.
Sherpa did an excellent job. They were very careful and courteous. From a customer service perspective, they were very available to discuss any questions that I had before or during the operation so I was pleased. The quality of service and the good level of contact with me throughout the process was a rewarding experience, especially with something that's extremely valuable to me, both sentimentally and monetarily, this vehicle.

The quote Sherpa provided may have been a little more than other companies, but it was worth it. There were no problems during the transport and the driver was a very nice guy. He texted me where he was and when he expected to be in Chicago. It was very professional from start to finish. I was very impressed.

My fiancée is a wizard when it comes to doing her due diligence and finding the best companies and reading reviews. I asked her to pull her magic and let me know what she thought, and Sherpa was in the top five transport companies and were actually the first ones to answer the phone or respond to my call. Joseph was the gentleman that I talked to. He was very professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable with using the company to broker the deal for me.
Top Line Auto Service based out of California dropped the car off. The two brothers met me. I had spoken to Joseph on the phone, and figured out what direction they were coming from, which was east from Florida. And based on where I live, I gave them the best place that I thought would be the easiest to pull up an 18-wheeler, and with a truckload of cars, to offload it and meet them to where they could easily get back on the interstate again and go about their day without having to snake through city traffic. We got that place lined up. It was a few miles away from my house. They called me numerous times when they were on the way and got there. The car was dirty, but I expected it to be. It was raining and it was an open truck. But other than that, no damage to the vehicle. The brothers were incredibly friendly and professional people that if I had to use anybody again, I would recommend them and Sherpa.
I was very worried throughout the process because I have never purchased a vehicle that I have never seen before, or even driven or heard it idle. They got it to me and it was in good shape. And everything was good. I enjoyed it. Plus they were cool. They had a very exotic, classic car on the truck and they had to offload it to get my car off. They opened the doors and let me peek my head in and take a look at it, and I drooled a bit at how cool the car was.
Sherpa's quote was better than anything that I had received other than ones that were scams. I've never done this before. I just signed up online and I was hammered with emails and phone calls from a lot of people that were trying to, “Oh, I'll beat this price. I'll do this price.” And I was getting quotes that seemed too good to be true, and they were, because once I went and got my fiancée to do her magic and look these particular companies up, she was like, “Yeah, that's gonna be a no. Each one of those has terrible reviews and they're scams.” Because they quoted me 500 bucks, $600, that type of stuff. What Sherpa quoted me wasn't gonna fluctuate. If it did, they would apply money towards it if need be. It was right on the money. The transport was part of my car purcahsing process that was the fastest, streamlined and very much worth the money that I paid for.

liked Sherpa's Price Lock guarantee. They guaranteed me the price that they quoted me and if it was over, they had a guarantee that they would pay it. Also, they have good customer service. And during the delivery, the driver called me the night before and told me what time he was gonna be in. He was within five to 10 minutes when he told me and it was fine. I would recommend them.

Sherpa's customer service rep was great and my only issue was they did not book the transport until the first day of the window. They were very communicative to let me know that they hope to have one and they have a 95% success rate but they couldn't guarantee it until they had it. I was nervous leading up to it. The initial quote was $450 and then, it went up to 700 but that happened in the time in which I set up and signed the agreement on the phone with the gentleman. So, it was the first leg and the driver did not charge anything more. He was fantastic and nice. I would love though to have known Friday and not 9:00 am on Monday that the car was going to be picked up Monday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. But it all worked out and the car’s here.

We had somebody set up to pick up the vehicle and we had a date and a time but that person dropped the ball. I contacted Sherpa about it and asked what we could do. They immediately took care of it and dropped their brokerage fee. They did everything that they could to get us a new shipper immediately. I was really impressed with them. If I ever have to ship another vehicle, I'll use them 100%.

Sherpa was lovely to work with. I had a previous experience with another moving company that was a complete nightmare and this was the total opposite experience. It was wonderful. The people were nice and the follow-up as well as the customer service was great. They were straightforward and explained the difference between a carrier and a transport. They broke everything down so I understood. They were very honest and upfront. They told me what to listen for and to ask certain questions if I call around to whoever company when they’re giving me a bid. Then, if they gave me a particular answer, to say, “Thank you very much, but no, thank you.” And they were completely correct. Sherpa educated me as well as provided an option for me to work with them. They knew what they were doing so you don't have to worry about getting screwed over.

Dealing with the rep from Sherpa was very easy and I would do it again. When I dropped off the car, I met the driver who was very friendly and we chatted for a little bit. Their home base was maybe 50 miles away from where I was moving. So, Sherpa did a good job of picking a good transport line. I was flying to the area so I was gonna be there when the driver arrives. I had his personal phone number so I was able to contact him and pick the car up from their base when I flew in to the airport. I had gotten quotes from a bunch of other companies and they were all similar pricing. This one was a little more expensive but it was worth it to be able to store some stuff in the car. They let me store up a hundred pounds of things and then also, for the convenience, it worked out.

The people at Sherpa were responsive. If I had a question, that was answered. The driver was very communicative to where he was. Whenever he was expected to be there, he gave a lot of updates without me even asking which was appreciated. The car arrived in 100% condition it left in. I contacted a few auto transporters and Sherpa was the easiest to work with. They were very informative and quick. They got it done in three days when I was told it would take two to three weeks. Everything was also upfront. Nothing changed. If I ever ship another vehicle, I would definitely use them.

Sherpa was great. We had phenomenal interaction with them trailering the car. Darren, which was the agent that I spoke to from the beginning, was very accommodating. He gave us a call and helped us throughout everything. Any questions my boyfriend had about the car transport, he answered clearly and thoroughly. It was a very human-like experience. The reps were very prompt. They were very knowledgeable about what was going on with the services. I didn't have to wait on hold for very long. It took a while getting the driver assigned though. They usually say three days but it took mine four days and a half to get a driver assigned. But the drivers were very quick. They picked the vehicle up on Friday in Georgia and delivered it on Sunday in California.

I had purchased a car from Texas and I needed it transported to me here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sherpa was within $100 of the typical cost to bring it up. There were some companies that advertised $400, which I know wouldn't even cover the gas, so I didn't even think about them. But from looking at reviews on people that have used Sherpa, I felt comfortable with them, so I went with them.
Their service representative gave me a price, and I told him I had a price similar to that, but a little less. First, he gave me all of their credibility as far as how they go about their business, and then the insurance of the car. And if it would make a difference, they would offer a $100 card of return for that $100 difference, so I wouldn't be paying any more. If there was a problem with the difference in cost once the car was on the trailer, they would pay the difference. It all worked out fine.
There was a problem where they couldn't identify my little town where I live. So they asked me what the major city was near me, which was 20 miles away, and it's Pittsburgh. I gave them that and that was the zip code that they attached to it with the transport guy. When it got close to the delivery, he realized I was on the other side of Pittsburgh from where he was coming and it would take more time and fuel to get over to where I'm at. So it was an additional $75, which the company took care of after the fact. I paid for it upfront, and they reimbursed it. They handled it really well.
The man that delivered was a super guy. He really handled the car well, he was polite, and I would definitely recommend him again. He notified me the day that he would be bringing it, and he notified me within a couple hours of the delivery. Then we agreed on a place for him to drop it because he can't get to my house. It sits back off a private lane that it'd be difficult to get through. So we met there and it all worked out great. The car was in the same condition as what I expected when I bought it in Texas. Overall, Sherpa was really professional and they do what they say they're gonna do. The only thing that's important in life is that you do what you say you're gonna do.

The communication from beginning to end was great. Before booking with Sherpa, they answered all my questions. When I did not receive a call from the transport carrier within the designated window (24-48 hours before pick up), I contacted Sherpa and they were very responsive on my behalf. I will definitely use their services again.

We didn't have a very big window for the pick up of the vehicle and Sherpa was accommodating to the window we had to give them. They worked with me and they said that if they couldn't get the vehicle picked up at that time and we will have to pay another $300 out of our own pocket, they would do that. Also, I could not have asked for anything better than the driver we had. Everything was outstanding with Sherpa.

Sherpa was the most qualified out of the three or four companies I looked at. They were also available to do the transport. We dealt by email and various telephone conferences and I found it to be acceptable. The reps were very knowledgeable and the transport was expeditious. We had some time constraints to get the car done and Sherpa was able to meet them. Their price was higher than the other companies but fair for the services provided and for the time we needed it done by. However, I was supposed to get $100 gift card but I haven't gotten it yet.

We used Sherpa twice. They were great. My daughter goes to college seven hours away. We weren't gonna send a car to college but we found during COVID, it was impossible not to have a car. Her car is 17 years old. So, we were very leery of driving it seven hours on the highway. We felt the safest route was to ship it. I reached out to a lot of people. One of the people I ended up talking to from Sherpa ended up being from my town. It was luck that the guy ended up living here. So, it made it a little more personal.
The guy who picked up the car and drove it was phenomenal. At the end of the school year, I needed to ship the car back home to Charlotte. I didn’t even call any other companies. I just used Sherpa again. The transport was easy. They got ahold of me and then the next day, everything happened. So, for the return back to Charlotte in April, I did get a little nervous because I had a very set end date. My daughter was leaving campus and there'd be no one there to help ship the car, and it was getting kind of late. But it worked out. They did what they said. In their defense, they were comfortable knowing they would get a driver. The guy who drove the car back was lovely. He communicated.

The lady who I spoke with from Sherpa was so polite. It was my first time to be using a transport like that and I thought, “Hey, everything that I asked for, they did.” They asked for 1,550 and they got 1,550. They didn’t take any deal. I asked for a deal too. They wouldn’t give me any deal. I asked to get my vehicle to Oregon as soon as possible. They left on Sunday and I got it on Thursday. The driver called me on Saturday. He was at the carwash when they pick it up, and they said they tried to cancel it. There was a mix-up. Then he called me again on Thursday and told me they'd be at a drop-off location in 30 minutes.

Then the other company then contacted me and said when they were picking up and they did when they said they were. It went really smoothly and without a hitch. It was perfect. Sherpa was great. I talked to a lady and she was really good. The price was high. However, in my specific circumstance delivering the car to my teenage daughter in Colorado, I wanted zero issues at the end of the delivery. I didn’t want a scenario where the car was delayed or the driver for whatever reason said it cost me more money than I originally anticipated. One of the reasons why I picked Sherpa was because of their guarantee. If there are any overages, they would eat those overages. So, that peace of mind was worth the extra $200 that it costs to transport the vehicle. Overall, it was really good.
I was a little upset though. They gave me a quote. I thought about it and then I called them back. I wanted to change the pickup location like two miles away. They charged me an extra $100. I said, “What's the difference? You're literally two miles away. You could see where the new spot that I wanted to have the car picked up." And they did it right. They said, “It's a higher price, but we'll send you a credit card or a debit card with $100 on it to get it back to the original price.” I honestly did not think they were gonna do it. But they sent me a card and it had 100 bucks on it. Sherpa found the driver. They picked the car up on time and there were no issues at the other end of the line.

I appreciated that the company always kept in touch and made sure everything was happening as scheduled. Received quick response to a support email that I wasn't expecting, which is something rare with a lot of companies today. I wasn't very satisfied with the carrier, didn't deliver a time promised and failed to get in touch with me, and the car was scraped in a place it was before it was shipped, I know because I have a video of the condition of the vehicle before it arrived, and the previous owner was a family member who kept it in great condition, but that's no fault of Sherpa. Should the situation arise that I need to move a vehicle again I would definitely call them, great service and affordable rates, that's hard to come by.

It was a very good experience with the rep of Sherpa. I only had one problem. I thought that they should have told me in advance that they weren't absolutely guaranteeing that they’d be able to transport my vehicle. That it was very likely, but that it wasn't guaranteed. As it turned out with my vehicle, they weren't able to lock in a date till about two days before we left, which was a little bit disconcerting given that all our plans hinged on them picking up the vehicle by a certain date so that we could leave in time to make our move out here. But other than that, I was very pleased with the interaction.

I had a friend who had used the same company, so I just called the same one. And she had a good review of it, so it just did it that way. I was made aware of all the parts of the process and when I would hear exact details. The driver was very communicative and good about giving me notice and being adaptable. Sherpa in general is a higher cost than other ones, but in terms of the service I received, there were no issues. The car got home before I did, so it was perfect. And my sister is also moving her car so I suggested Sherpa to her based on my experience.

I heard from fellow marines in Beaufort that had used Sherpa before that they were very reliable and quick in responding. After three failed attempts at getting someone to ship my vehicle, I went with Sherpa and they were able to successfully ship my vehicle. They were very transparent in the beginning saying that the other companies had severely under quoted me and explained the whole process about what an accurate quote looked like for the distance that I was going. The driver, George, was super diligent. He took care of my vehicle. It was in the same condition I gave to him when he got here. I'm definitely going to use Sherpa again to ship my sister's vehicle in October.

The driver was quite knowledgeable, got the car at the dealership and signed all the paperwork. Here at the delivery location, the driver came and brought the car down. Sherpa far exceeded any expectations that I would have had. The move was from Los Angeles to Florida, and the car got there faster than I could have imagined. I couldn't have driven it myself that fast. They promised that the car will be delivered between 8 to 11 days, but they did it in 4 days. Also, the final price was exactly what they said. That's one of the advantages of their company. You lock in the quote, and that’s what it is. Sherpa was fantastic. I'm gonna use them again next month and I would tell anybody to use them.

I was concerned with trying to find a transportation company I could trust. I have read too many horror stories on how some brokers and drivers conduct business and did not want to worry about moving my car. I have a 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible, it is not a perfect show car, but in great restored condition. I did not want to spend too much to get it transported from California to Oregon. I decided on Sherpa after reading the reviews and so happy I did. They did not disappoint. They were very easy to work with and completely transparent with the process. The price that was quoted, was the price I paid, not a penny more. The pick up location I used had a very small window of time available for the driver to get the car, but they worked with my schedule and picked up without any issues just as they scheduled. The car arrived a day earlier than I expected and in the exact condition it left in.
Everyone I worked with through the process was very friendly and the communication during the entire process was great. The driver took great care on how the car was loaded and unloaded. The whole process was stress free, I will definitely be calling Sherpa to transport my next car. Thank you for taking care of my car the way I would.

Great Experience from the start! Jeremiah who was my broker agent was upfront and honest with how the whole process works. The classic vehicle I bought in Ohio was picked up right on time as they stated. The driver was great with communicating with me on pick up with video of loading and throughout the entire trip. He basically made it to Massachusetts in a day. The car was covered in a beautiful single car hauler and delivered perfectly! This is a very reputable company and wouldn’t hesitate to do business again in the future! A++++.

When compared with other companies, Sherpa's Google reviews were good as well as the price was a bit low. They gave me a good discount. However, when I got the car, it was a bit dusty and I saw a lot of stains, which weren't originally present when at the dealer location. That is one of the disadvantages.

The coordinator was good, and the quote and final cost were the same. It took five days from when the car was picked to the time it was dropped off, and everything happened as they were supposed to. It was very good service. I would use Sherpa again. They did a great job.

The pickup was really good. The guy was so nice and personable, and there were no problems at all. We were worried at first because we were not familiar with the big city and how it was going to all come about. But he just knew what he was doing. We were in California and he almost beat us back to Illinois with it. It was an easy transaction to do. Getting the pricing was painless. I liked it that Sherpa had a fixed price so I didn't have to worry about it fluctuating in the future. I then needed to change the date at one point and Sherpa made it pretty easy. My driver was terrific. I really liked him. He called me, introduced himself and explained to me that he would come and pick up the car. He was familiar with the tiny town I lived in in California. I asked him how long he thought it would take to go across country and he gave me an estimate of whatever it was. I told him I was going to be driving across the country on a specific timeframe and asked if he could pick it up on a particular date. I also told him I was going to have a friend hand over the car to him. I gave him my friend's name and phone number in case he needed it. My friend, Joanne, took care of it with him. They walked around the car together and did the inspection. Then he called me a day after I arrived in Florida and told me he's got my car and he could give it to me that evening if I wanted. The car was totally clean.

I started to try and transport a car with a different company. The price was a bit more, and they didn't guarantee pickup. I waited five days, and the car still wasn't picked up so I cancelled it and went with Sherpa. They guaranteed the pickup date and the price. The drivers were great too. Super nice guys.

There were good reviews of Sherpa, and they had the $300 price guarantee. They guarantee their quote and they will match up $300 of their own money. I've used them twice now. The ’68 Pontiac is already here, but I did a Honda Accord as well. That's in transit and it should be here either tomorrow or Saturday. If I've used Sherpa twice, then they were good the first time. Both the shipping companies were easy to work and communicate with as well. They can communicate via text and they showed up on time when they said they would. Everybody's been great.

My experience with Sherpa was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time shipping and it went so smoothly. I was scared a little bit because my baby was being shipped. But it got there well. They told me exactly what I needed to do to make the transaction go over smoothly and that was what I did. The quote was also exactly what they told me it would be. Not a dollar over. They were on time and the date that they told me that my car would be there, it was there. They called me an hour outside of the location to let me know and when they said that they were there within an hour, they were.

Both times I used Sherpa were excellent. They moved mountains to help me out. Also, the drivers both times were prompt and courteous. It was the smoothest transporting I've ever done, and I've done many of them. Sherpa's great. I would recommend them over and again. They were all professional. I could text them, and they always responded quickly. I would totally use them again, and I plan to do that sometime in August to ship up two cars.

I told a specific delivery date and met with the driver on that day at a specific time we had set. I got my car picked up and I had some relative pick up my car in Florida, so it went well. Everything was done fast and in an orderly manner. They were professionals. I was happy with it. It was a good experience.

Sherpa provided a very pleasant delivery experience. The agent I spoke to initially was eager to help provide me a quote for my car and communication was very timely. I was pleasantly surprised that Sherpa was able to secure a pickup and delivery within my preferred timeframe because other companies I called stated that my pickup and delivery would probably be delayed given that it was during a holiday week. The assigned carrier also provided wonderful door to door service with no problems. I would gladly use Sherpa again in the future and tell all of my friends!

Very professional auto transport service. Driver communicated very well with me the entire time from pickup to dropoff, and was right on time within the window given to me. Sherpa was a bit more pricey but they took care of finding a good driver that was on time and got the car from DC to Seattle in 7 days in the same condition it was picked up in.

I shipped our automobile with Sherpa and they said, “You will be receiving a gift card,” but I still have not received it. I've made several calls, and they processed it and sent it over to Visa, May 11th. They're very hard to get through to with communication. If you try to call them, you wait and wait and then, they don't even give you a website. They tell you a website if you have an insurance thing. Apart from that, we were very happy with the whole process.
We did some traveling before we closed on our home, and my daughter and her husband received the car. They said the driver was good, and he answered all of their questions before they paid him. The car seemed to be in okay condition too. Overall, the negatives were their communication process is very lacking and there was no response in receiving the gift card. On the other hand, the handling of the car shipment itself went very well with them. The company they subcontracted to did a very good job.

Sherpa was great. I only spoke to two people. They were very knowledgeable and they let me know everything. The driver was there pretty early, earlier than what he said he was going to be there. My car was in good condition, everything was in the same spot. Didn't look like anything was rummaged through. This was my first time transporting my car, so I didn't really know much about anything that was supposed to go on. I felt like when I was explained the whole transport thing by the customer service rep, it was exactly what he said. There were no extras or hidden anything. I was very satisfied.

Through the whole process it was clear and concise and the individuals who helped me were very professional all the way from the sale staff to the guys who put me on the board to the driver who came and picked up my car, Sherpa's contractor (GIGI Transportation) Was attentive to all my needs, answered all my calls and text messages in a prompt manner, kept me 1st and kept me in the loop where my car was when I called and asked and how long it was to be delivered. I called them and the woman that I spoke with had everything sorted out within 20 minutes over the phone. Then, I met up with the guys in Montana and the vehicle was delivered a few days later to one of my friends. The delivery was zero problems.

I was transporting a car that was not working across the country and Sherpa was the only one that would take it. The cost was what was quoted. Also, the customer service communicated pretty clearly with me about how their process worked, what downpayments were needed, and how I was essentially going to have to pay. I had some flexibility with the timeframe but they were able to get both the carrier set up faster than I anticipated, and then the car got here substantially faster than I thought it was going to. The driver was there on top of it. Most communication was through a cellphone just because he's a driver. They did a good job of communicating with us about pick-up times and where to be and when they expected to deliver.
The only thing is that Sherpa is essentially a broker. A lot of the carriers are independent operators. While Sherpa may be great, and they do some vetting of their drivers, it's still a bid system when shipping a car. I've done this a few times, and so, part of the experience isn't necessarily due to Sherpa, it's due to whoever the driver is. I've had great drivers and I've had okay drivers. That's just something to be aware of.

When I initially called, one of Sherpa's agents explained to me the process and I liked what they had to offer. Service was good. They also have the $300 policy that they'll put in, which is nice, if it gets over the month. The transport went smooth and it was all convenient. I like to get my car close to my place and it arrived on time. I chose open transportation. There was a lot of rain, so the car got very dirty, but that's expected. I recommend Sherpa.

The reservation process at Sherpa was straightforward and it was easy to book. It's a different kind of service than what you're used to in normal consumer situation because of their scheduling windows and their availability. It's geared to be towards an on-demand. But you're still putting yourself in a situation where you're putting your quote out in the open market and you're hoping someone takes the quote in the time that you need it. That was probably the most tenuous part of the experience. As we were getting closer to our departure date, we were still waiting on confirmation if anyone was even going to pick up the cars and as we got closer, it became a little more stressful because we were within days of leaving and they had not even started the process.
By the time that we got the cars picked up, it was a race. We had to get to the destination before the auto transport company got there because Sherpa's a brokerage company. So, they inevitably outsource the job to another company and dealing with the final company was stressful because we didn't know what to expect from them. We were moving and we had just sold our house and we had nowhere to keep the cars. We could not wait another couple of days. We had no physical property keeping that unless we rented a space and kept the cars there, which we were in U-Hauls. So, we literally had nowhere to go and we had two extra cars sitting around that we're hoping that they show up when they say they're gonna show up.
One of the conditions with most auto transport companies is you have to have a certified check. When we found out who the brokerage company was, it was within about an hour and a half of them picking up the vehicle. At that time, it was 5:00 eastern for us and there was no way to get a certified check because we didn't know the name of the company. Once we got the name, they picked up the vehicles around 6:00 eastern. We had to wait until the next business day before we could even stop off at our bank and get a certified check. At that point we were already 12 hours behind the transporter who had already left.
To top everything off there, he was foreign and spoke no English at all, which was a little scary because we're worried if he understood what we were trying to do. But he was very professional. We watched him load the cars and we had some comfort that he knew that we were not gonna be able to start until 12 hours later. But that company’s dispatcher was also foreign. So, we were a little concerned that the communication process. So, we started out the next day hoping for the best. We had ways to contact him but it wasn't very straightforward. You would text the driver and you might get a text back in a couple of hours. If you text the dispatcher, it was a lot of broken English and almost got to the point of less communication was probably better to not confuse the situation. So, we stayed out of the situation and kept driving.
It was a two-day trip for us. So, when we got here, we arrived before the driver. He had managed to say that he would drive slowly. It was the best that he could explain and we got here probably about three or four hours before he did. When he arrived, the cars were in great shape. We checked the mileage and there was no funny business that went on. The cars were transported exactly as we expected and he was very professional in getting the vehicles off his transport.
It was just very nerve-wracking up until the point the cars got picked up because we were ready before the cars were ready to be picked up. Then, the whole transport process was nerve-wracking because there was a lot of language barrier issues that was out of Sherpa's hands. Sherpa left the process when they handed it off to the company who picked up the cars. Then, all of a sudden, Sherpa came back in at the very back end once the cars had been delivered to make sure everything was okay. It was a stressful situation that ended up being a good experience. The entire trip was stressful but it was no fault of Sherpa. It was just the way that their system works.
I was still pleased with Sherpa's service but they waited a little too long to escalate in their process because they took our original bid that we had agreed to with them. They have a price match guarantee. They'll kick in up to $300 extra to make sure that each vehicle gets shipped within our schedule. In the original bidding process, when they had our reservation, we're almost a month out when we booked with them. We were literally sitting in the house and getting ready to close before they escalated our shipping need to where they would kick in the extra 300. So, they were still waiting before they would kick in that extra promise. Then, when they kicked in the extra $300, we literally had left to go close the house. It was about eight hours later that they eventually got a driver for us.
The actual shippers that are out there looking at their boards, knowing that that is a Sherpa quote, were probably in the mindset of waiting for Sherpa to desperately need them before they go take the bid because that's when they know they can get the most money out of them. So, from a retail point of view, it looks good for Sherpa to the customer that they’re going to cover the extra money. But it probably hurts them because the subcontractors that they're awarding the jobs to know that if they hold off, they're going to make more money out of Sherpa. It's not a good arrangement for the customer, even though Sherpa stands by the letter to what they promise.
In our situation, we were told that the pick-up could happen as early as Saturday and it was Tuesday night before they awarded who to pick up and who the transport company was going to be. So, we were at the very end of the window when Sherpa said that they would get us someone. It took a little bit of a rude phone call from me for them to finally say they were going to kick in the extra money. But we got our vehicles and everything was delivered as promised. There was some extra stress that didn't need to be but I was pleased if I could get our cars. At the end of the experience, that should not have been what my real measure of success was. It shouldn't be like a hostage situation that you're glad that they delivered.

I ran into some problems with my first auto transport and I took a chance on Sherpa after reading the reviews and the website, and also speaking with the agent that was very informative. I know it's not cheap to have your car transported to another state and their quote was fair. Also, with the short amount of time that they had to work with, they came through for me. Pickup and delivery were well done. The staff was doing everything that they needed to do in regards to taking the photographs and then reaching out to their supervisor to let them know that they were at the site and everything was going okay. I liked that within 24 hours my car was delivered to its destination.

My car had a flat tire and no one wanted to even mess with it. Sherpa was the only one that would haul it and they explained things to me. It had to be considered a non-operable vehicle and the price was a little higher because of it. The transport was done with an enclosed trailer and the guy was very polite. They did a very nice job hauling.

We thought we’d transport a car. I was scared to death of the idea. I read all the horror stories - cars falling off trucks, cars coming full of mud, dents, whatever. I researched the heck out of it. I went through 15 transports, and read their stuff online. Sherpa's presentation online was good. It was convincing. It was humble in the sense of the reality of the whole car transport business. The fact that you're not dealing initially with the driver, you're dealing with a broker. Most people are not familiar with doing this and don't understand the difference between a trucker and a broker. That's the scary part. And that's what Sherpa covered so well. And in service, I never had to sit on hold with them if I had a question. It was the same with talking to the truckers. They were very cool and sharp, and they did the job.
The car was picked up exactly where and when we expected. The two young drivers were neat. They shuffled the cars around to get them in the order they needed them. We watched them do it very carefully in moving cars in and out. And off they went. It disappeared in Phoenix, Arizona. Our family members were here already in Michigan when the car arrived. It arrived at exactly the right time. A family of ours picked the car up. The driver called ahead, said, “Here's when we expect to be there.” Rolled the car off the truck. And with the most thorough examination, it was obvious the car suffered no damage, no dents. It was no worse for wear at all.
The price of Sherpa was higher than some of the other offers. But what we read was, in this business, you get what you pay for. The offer goes up online and drivers get a choice of whether they want to take it or not. And if the price is low, the car can sit there forever until some desperate driver decides he just needs another buck. If you put a decent price up there on the board that is attractive to a good driver, then you get what you pay for. That’s what we discovered. That with Sherpa, even though they were putting a higher price up on the board to get a driver, we got the right one. We got guys that got our car from point A to point B on time, in its original shape. If we were to do this again, and we may, Sherpa would be the first choice. I was very impressed. Our old Corolla was sitting next to a sports car that was 100 times what our car was worth. And I figured, “Well, if they're gonna transport that car, they can take my Corolla.”
As long as Sherpa’s in business, and they are there to grab my car and take it where I need it to go, I would do it. Most other people are first-timers with trucking a car. And if that's the case, I would say, “Give Sherpa a try.” And don't expect that it's going to be cheap. The sense of relief when that car came off the truck was worth it.

I got so many low ball quotes. My experience told me Sherpa's quote, while higher, would likely be more in line with the actual price. This was an unexpected move and I needed the car picked up in a short window. Sherpa was great and got the car from California to Vermont. Carrier was A+ and so was Sherpa!

Everything went fine with Sherpa. It was a little confusing though, because at the first scheduled pick-up, the driver had a problem, and so then we owed less money. But instead of taking that out of the full amount, they took it out of the down payment. My mom who got the car in Oregon had to go out and get an extra 100 bucks but everything went great. The car arrived in great condition. It was really reliable and I was happy with the service. Sherpa is a great company. They did a good job.

Use Sherpa. They did a great job. It's the first time I've done transport like that and it was painless. Everything they told me was accurate and I got the car earlier than expected. The driver was very accommodating too. Everything was very professional.

When a different car carrier didn’t pick up our vehicle by date they told us, we started calling other companies. Sherpa rep explained the way the carrier’s system works and had our vehicle picked up by the next day! And the driver stayed in contact with us all four days.

Sherpa’s service was fine and they did everything they said they were going to do. But we were told that when the driver picked the vehicle up in Texas, he would call us and give us a window of when he would be delivering the vehicle so we could be there with the cash to pay him and also pick up the delivery of the vehicle. And he never called. He was to be delivering the vehicle to the body shop that was to restore the truck and the body shop guy looked up and there was the truck and the guy was standing there and he didn't call.
The body shop is located about a quarter of a mile walk off a main road and it's a dirt and a broken concrete type roadway. So, the two back tires on the truck were flat when it was loaded by a forklift at the pick-up location. The truck was still in the shape and the tires were still in the shape that they were when the truck was picked up until the guy got to the location and saw that he couldn't drive his transport down that road, so he decided to offload my truck on his own. He backed it off the truck with the two flat tires and down that quarter-mile road. By the time he got to where the body shop was, the tires and rims were ruined in the back. So, we filed an insurance claim and I sent pictures.
I'm waiting while the insurance company is making the inquiries that they need to. It wasn’t Sherpa's fault because they use independent contractors. That's the way it goes sometimes. You get somebody that doesn't follow instructions like they're supposed to and Sherpa couldn't control them. Everything was good and I would use Sherpa again.

Sherpa has great customer service. I just called their number, told them the date that I would like to make the move, and they got it set up within a week. Communication with the driver was very comforting too. He was texting me and letting me know timeframe that he would be there. When he got there, he let me know where he was. Sherpa’s a good transportation service. They’ll make it easy, so it won't be any question.

I called Sherpa Auto Transport after dealing with another company (Montway Auto) for many weeks with no solution for transporting my vehicle. I was super frustrated, but Sherpa arranged for my vehicle to be picked up the next day and made my situation 100% better. I was already living in a different state and I had to leave my vehicle with a family member. Communication was top notch and the driver of the auto transport called to let me know they were on their way and would be picking up my vehicle within 45 minutes.
My family member took pictures as they loaded it onto the trailer, and within 48 hours my vehicle arrived to me in perfect condition!! The driver was very courteous and met me outside of my apartment complex to handle the payment and transfer of my vehicle. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto as they were friendly, helpful, quick, professional, and charged the correct amount so that an auto transport driver would be willing to pick up my vehicle quickly. Thank you so much for turning things around me!!! :)

Sherpa's quote was a little higher than other companies, but it seemed more reliable. My only complaint would be they stated driveway to driveway, but when they got to where they were picking up and dropping off, unless you had a ton parking lot space availability by your home, they made you drive a little ways to meet them to pick it up and drop it off. Other than that, it was good overall. They did what I needed them to do.

In situations like these, we defer to the judgment of the driver for safety reasons.
