    I randomly looked online and Sherpa had decent reviews. I had a good experience with their reps. The transport took a little over a week, which was a little bit long because it was in between Thanksgiving but it was within the expected amount of time.     I contacted Sherpa on a Thursday morning to transport my VW Golf from Grenada California to Plano Texas Sherpa arranged a pickup the next day on Friday afternoon, and the car was delivered in Plano Texas (about 2100 miles away) on the following Monday afternoon. The transport driver was professional and courteous. He thoroughly and fairly documented minor road chip damage, and provided an emailed bill of lading with a link to photographs of the vehicle on pickup. The price was as quoted. Good communication during the process, and best of all no issues or problems. Recommend.

    My 2001 Lexus was in Illinois and I needed it shipped to North Carolina. I looked up around two transport companies before choosing Sherpa Auto Transport and Sherpa said they would give me $100 back on the gift card. After the $100 gift card, they were also the cheapest and the service people were very friendly and nice, so I didn’t have a reason to go any further. Everything was pretty much like the customer service reps said. The transport driver actually picked up a bit earlier and delivered on time. He called me before he picked up the vehicle and told me what time he would be there that same day, which was good.

    The car was in the same condition when it arrived and the quote was exactly the same as what I ended up paying. It was only around $500 something to go to Carrollton, Texas, but Sherpa doesn’t get a lot of runs over to that area, so the cost was $200 more instead of $550. I was able to get the $100 gift card, so that made it just $100 more. The experience with Sherpa was really nice and they were very courteous.

    I was shipping my car out to my son in New Mexico. I tried to find different agencies, and finally came upon Sherpa. The other companies couldn’t guarantee a certain time of when the car could get there. I was more happy with Sherpa because when we talked about picking up the car and delivering it, they could deliver it to my son's home. That worked out more for us, rather than having my son go to a location to pick it up. He is a police officer, so that would have been difficult for him. Everything worked out. They were able to pick it up and deliver it when we needed it to be delivered. The car was delivered right to my son's home, which was very convenient.

    Felicia was the young lady that I first spoke with, and she was very helpful with me because I’m kind of technology-challenged. I did everything over my phone, and I’m not really good with that, so she walked me through all of that. The managers in the office that I dealt with were very nice. They got back to me to confirm everything. The customer service team contacted me to let me know that everything was working out, and where we were, going through the process. They had us in contact with the people who will be picking the car up. So, that was very helpful. We didn’t have to run around and wait around a long time. So, they contacted us to let us know when the driver was gonna be there. It really worked out well that way.

    The quote from Sherpa was good, and it was a few dollars cheaper than some of the other companies. Sherpa said that I would get a $50 Visa card at the conclusion of the shipment, but I don't know what my husband did with the lading bill, so I don’t know if I’m still gonna get it. But I sent in the contract and the receipt that we got from the driver in New Mexico. Hopefully, they’ll give it to me. If they don’t, that’s okay. Other than that, I would definitely recommend Sherpa. I was very happy with the service.

    We were moving and we looked at four shipping companies. Sherpa was very professional so we went with them. They shipped our vehicle cross-country at about 15 hundred miles and their customer service reps were really good. They were helpful and if I needed to talk to them, they were there to talk. Also, the price that I paid in the end was the same quote they gave me at the beginning. So, it was a fair and competitive price, and the cost was pretty on par with the quality of their service. The delivery was good as well and it took about a week. The car arrived dirty, which was what we expected, but there was no damage that we could see. I’d use Sherpa again. They’re a good company and they stood by what the quote was originally. And car transport is kind of a shady business but Sherpa is not shady.

    We had never used a transport service. We looked at a lot of companies and a lot of reviews. We chose Sherpa as the price was fair and they had great communications. We found other lower and higher price bids but they did not have the guarantee of price and service level. They use contract drivers like most others but they must do a good job screening as our driver was great. He kept us informed on transport progress and seemed to care about our car.     I decided to ship my 1987 BMW convertible from Kansas to Los Angeles rather than drive it there. My first time to ship a car so I called several transporting companies that I found on the internet. I chose Sherpa and it was a good choice! They found a driver coming to Kansas within two days and picked up the car three days after that. The driver was very conscientious and careful pointing out small defects in my car.     You have to appreciate this is a difficult business and process. I had no hard dates for pickup and delivery from west coast to east coast so when a transporter had space I was contacted. The vehicle was picked up when specified and I was notified a day ahead of delivery and vehicle was delivered at exactly the time specified. Overall went smoothly with no problems.     Sherpa arranged for the door-to-door pickup/delivery of a 1972 Corvette from Edmore, MI to Stockbridge, GA. Other companies said they could do it for less, but when they could not locate a driver, they increased the quote and/or asked that I take the auto to a large city -- the closest being over 50 miles away. I could not do that. Sherpa never mislead me on the price or the delivery period. I was completely satisfied with Sherpa's communication and communication from the driver. There was a one day delay in the delivery due to the driver having a mechanical failure needing repair, but he kept me informed and it was no problem.

    I did quite a bit of research online before hiring Sherpa to transport a vehicle from Oklahoma to California. I had an excellent experience from start to finish and would highly recommend both Sherpa and the driver they hired to transport the vehicle. Pickup was on time and delivery was within an hour of their initial prediction. The car wash they included once the car wash was delivered is a nice touch as the car was filthy from 2k miles of travel. There are a lot of horror stories online about unethical transport companies and I'm happy to say none of that applies to Sherpa. I would recommend them without hesitation. Their price wasn't the lowest but it was very competitive.

    Excellent service. Woman who contacted me provided a very detailed explanation of the auto shipping process, pricing, etc. We had originally gone with another company which quoted a very low price. That company kept telling us they had a truck available to transport our car, and then nothing ever materialized. We contacted Sherpa last minute, and they explained that our car was quoted too low and no truck would pick up since both our pick up and delivery were in remote locations. Sherpa found a different truck in two days and the driver was absolutely wonderful. Great communications on all ends. Extremely happy, and would definitely use Sherpa in the future.

    My daughter is in the Marines back at Quantico, Virginia and she needed a car. I looked at one other company and I saw the reviews.     Danielle, my daughter, is newly-married and has a brand-new baby. Her husband is in the Navy, so he stays in Chula Vista. This is the initial move for them and she and the baby are joining him. I researched online and keyed in “best auto transport”. Sherpa always showed up in the top three on all the search engines. A customer service rep emailed me a couple of different times about the next steps and she was great. I was very pleased with the quote and she assured me that it wouldn’t change, and it didn’t. I shipped a ’13 Sentra from Alabaster, Alabama and I was told that it would arrive sometime between the 27th and the 30th of November. It got there and was dropped off on the 27th which was not bad. I appreciate everything that I was told actually coming to fruition because typically, it’s different. Everything that she told me was exactly how it happened so, I was grateful for that.

    It turns out there was a simple explanation for a problem that came down to a lack of communication. The fact that the company responded so quickly to my comments is an indication of the of their usual concern and respect for customer service. As for the bottom line, should the need arise to ship another vehicle in the future, i wouldn’t hesitate to use Sherpa.

    I did my homework, noted the excellent reviews and decided to ship my 2009 Honda Civic from Portland to Santa Barbara using Sherpa. The people I talked to over the phone were courteous, knowledgeable and professional. My car was picked up yesterday and, from all indications, should arrive on time with no damage. My problem is with your so-called "transparent pricing." The rep I first talked to over the phone quoted me a price of $685.00, period, with no add-ons of any kind. He said there was a required $250 deposit and the remainder of the bill was due upon vehicle delivery. "Fine," I thought, "reasonable price and a simple procedure. All I have to do is tell the person on the other end to have 435 dollars ready."

    A few days after this interaction, I get an e-mail from Sherpa stating a payment of $146 dollars had been processed and that everything was good to go. This was almost immediately followed by a second e-mail stating that the remainder of the total fee would be $550, due upon delivery. Crunching the numbers makes it appear, with credit for the deposit, the total cost comes to $800.00. And what does the 146 figure mentioned have to do with anything? I'll be the first to admit I may be missing something, but I find the pricing system something somewhat short of "transparent." My car hasn't been delivered yet, so I'm considering this whole episode as a work in progress.

    The vehicle I had and the way of me towing it wasn’t gonna work. It's a piece of crap Ford and I had to ship it from New Mexico to Phoenix. Sherpa was the best deal, so I went with them.     I looked into three transport companies before finally going with Sherpa. The others didn't call me back. They don't have a phone number that is valid and have no office. They're a bunch of crazy people. But the rep of Sherpa answered the phone on the first try. He responded and came back with a quote and a valid date. He did everything that he was supposed to do and was extremely confident. Their paperwork was also exactly what he said on the phone. It was unbelievably a good experience.

    Their quote was a bit more than we had paid in the past. But it was more in season so we took that into consideration. In the end the price was exactly what they quoted. The delivery driver called me and I met them on the side of the road. Transporting a car is a very unstable process normally. To me, they're brokers and they place it with drivers. But I have absolutely no complaints with Sherpa. They also did a follow-up phone call to make sure everything went well.

    I had high hopes for this company after reading all of their good reviews online, unfortunately that was not my experience with them. After setting up a date with them to pick up my car, my info somehow fell through the cracks (as they put it) and my car was never picked up or was I contacted. I had to leave with my family for the East coast with my car still on the West coast!!! When I finally reached someone at Sherpa they apologized profusely, but couldn’t get my car scheduled to be picked up until almost a week later! There was no financial compensation on their part either! I definitely would not recommend this company! :(

    I talked to a lot of transport companies and everyone that refused to ship the vehicle that I bought in Pennsylvania was terrible. When I finally talked to Sherpa, the lady was very honest and told me upfront that it would cost a little bit more, but she explained the process. They were also the only company that had good reviews. It was a little bit more expensive than I had planned on paying, but I was very happy with the experience. And everybody I talked to was all very nice and polite.

    During the process, I hadn’t closed the deal for the vehicle yet. But Sherpa was ready to go and I had to hold them back two or three times from shipping the car to Louisiana where I live. They worked with that and they were very cordial and gracious. They were on top of their game and as soon as I gave them the go, they went ahead. They picked the vehicle up on Friday evening, and they told me it will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. They drove it over the weekend and I actually got it on Monday. It’s a 20-something-hour drive and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I would highly want everybody to find Sherpa and go with them versus some of the ones that are not getting good feedback.

    I have a Toyota Yaris, which is a very small, light car that's not very great for highway driving, and I didn’t wanna drive it long distance from Chicago to Washington, D.C., so I needed a transport service. I did my own personal search of transport companies and I followed up on the leads that my sister sent me. But I went to ConsumerAffairs and I prioritized those brokers. Sherpa is on the second spot on ConsumerAffairs, so I felt pretty good about that. I also looked at the Better Business Bureau.

    Communication was very easy with Sherpa and I liked how they communicated. They gave me a very good price too. I received lower quotes from other companies, but I didn’t have as much confidence in them. I would rather pay more and feel better than pay less and be nervous. I was already nervous because it was a lot of money and it’s my car, and I didn’t know how things were gonna go. Sherpa said that I would get $50 if I sent in certain documentation which I already did. They told me it would take a couple of weeks for me to receive the rebate check. So I’m still in that waiting period. But even if I don’t receive the rebate check, their quote was comparable to another company that I was seriously considering.

    Sherpa contracted with the driver for the pickup, but I was hoping to have time to really look into that person. But everything happened so quickly. At that point, I just had to trust what Sherpa was telling me that they very carefully vet their drivers. It was a bit of a leap of faith, but because I’ve looked into Sherpa, I just hoped they did what they said. The pick up was a very easy process. The driver communicated very well with me and he let me know when he was 20 minutes away. He showed up and he was very courteous and nice. I was still in another city during the delivery but my family was here to get the car. They said the driver was similarly communicative. They knew when he was an hour away, so they were ready for him.

    I’m perfectly happy with Sherpa. It’s an expensive service moving just one car. But on the other hand, my sister and my niece drove the car from Georgia to Chicago for me, and they had an overnight stay somewhere because they didn’t wanna make that drive in one day. By the time they added in the costs for the gas and the overnight stay, the total turned out to be more expensive than the transport service to have somebody drive it back. So, Sherpa was actually less expensive for me than to have family members do it.

    After doing some research on the internet and speaking with a few people at Sherpa, I was more than impressed with their professionalism than others. My impression of their reps was excellent. The transportation company they booked was just good to fair though. The overall process could be improved, but I understand from a business perspective how difficult it is to broker a spot price. Sherpa was very good on price though. The initial quote was exactly what I paid. In fact, I believe that Sherpa absorbed the additional 50 bucks when the price changed from the transportation company. We go back and forth between Florida and Pennsylvania and plan to use Sherpa again. I would recommend them to someone who has the proper expectations and knows the business model they’re getting into.

    I inherited a car, so I needed to send it from Arizona to Pittsburgh. I looked at 2 other companies and Sherpa didn't have the lowest rate, but it seemed like they were better organized and they've got reviews. They also said they would line up a driver as soon as possible, whereas other companies, it was more like the week before or something. So, it was gonna be around Thanksgiving and I just didn’t want to work around with that. Sherpa was awesome. They didn't change the rate or hold back on giving me an estimate before they found a driver, whereas other places won't give you an estimate until they find a driver. They’re more streamlined so I know that I probably paid them a little more than I would have otherwise.

    I heard from them the day before the delivery. I got an email that they had picked up the car. They talked to my dad about the pickup because I wasn't gonna be there. However, although I didn't mean to be rude, I have a policy where I don't answer calls from people from numbers I don't recognize. But that number was from Cleveland, and I knew they were taking the car to Cleveland first because that is where the transport company is headquartered. I answered his call, and I missed him, and then he sent me a text that just said, “Call me back,” but he didn't say who he was even though I was pretty sure who he was. And then he called me back right away. If I have any feedback, it would be like when you talk to them, maybe their manners can be better. I kind of understand so it's okay. But if that had happened to my dad, that would probably wouldn't have been good.

    Also I wish they were cheaper. I have to do this rebate. I hate rebate. It's like hassle. They know that I got the car. I’m thinking it would be awesome if they would just do it, so I didn’t have to file paperwork. Like when they coordinate the price, they did mention the rebate of $50. And then, when I got, like after I got on the phone with them and then made all the arrangements then I find out that it’s a $50 that I can get rebated. So, it would have been better if they just knocked the $50 off, which is what they quoted me originally. But it was in a phone call, so I have no proof that the estimate I was emailed had that extra 50 in it. Nevertheless, the shipping process was really simple and a lot faster than I thought it would be. The car arrived fine, and there was no damage. Everyone I dealt with was nice.

I looked at four transport companies and chose to go with Sherpa due to the reviews and the information they provided on their website. The Sherpa reps were very nice and answered all my questions. The driver told me I could’ve put stuff in my car, and Sherpa said I couldn’t. But other than that, everything was terrific and their price was fine.

    When we were going for a quote, I wanted to meet them in a parking lot of a grocery store that was literally three miles away, but that would have cost me more money because it was a different zip code. So instead of driving three miles to meet them in a parking lot that was empty, I went nine miles to go to a grocery store parking lot. It was weird. I don’t know what services they used to figure out their pricing. Because my zip code is a Phoenixville zip code when I actually live in Valley Forge, it was a little confusing. I’m sure there are other areas in the country where people live in a town but their mail is delivered from another town.     We moved from New York to Nevada and we shipped two family cars. I looked at four other transport companies, but I used Serpa Auto Transport for the customer service that I received over the telephone and how quickly I downloaded the contract. I was given enough time to look them over before I had to sign. They gave me a quote that was good for 90 days which I appreciated because at the time we didn’t have a closing date on our home. Their liability insurance and what it covered on top of my car insurance that was very thorough in taking pictures and documenting the car when taking it and did the same on the receiving end. We knew it cost a lot of money and it averaged about $1,500 a car, but the cars went 3,000 miles, so, compared to other companies that were a couple of hundred dollars less, their insurance and their pickup and delivery were not as precise as Sherpa was.

    The two gentlemen that I spoke to were very helpful, nice, and professional. I initially set up with Ty and he took all of my information. The reps lived up to what they said and they didn’t charge my car until the cars arrived, with my deposit. They were also on time picking the cars up. John, one of the supervisors out in Nevada, followed my cars all the way across the country and tracked them from stop to stop. He set up to meet us at the storage facility, so we were able to drop our cars off right at the storage facility and not to have them dropped off at a third location and then drive them to where we had to leave them until we moved out there. It was a pleasurable experience from beginning to end. My cars arrived in one piece, and I was very happy about that.

    I got a new car, and I wanted to send the old car, an 11-year-old Volkswagen Passat which had only 39,000 miles on it, to my son in New York. I looked at three or four different transport companies and Sherpa had the best reviews, so I went with them. Sherpa emailed me and called me, and I was impressed with how quickly they got back to me. Also, they seemed to understand what I was going for. Although I didn’t wanna spend a fortune, I also was not looking to go with cheap and have it affect the car. I told them when I wanted to ship it, and they asked me if I could move up the original date that I chose for a day or two, and I said I could. They asked me if I would be willing to wait a couple of days and I said I would, too.

    However, I didn’t hear from them afterwards, so I called them and asked what the situation was. They said they were going to get back to me as they were just in the process of looking for a driver, and that they should have a driver within 24 hours. When they found a driver, they got back to me and told me they would ship the car within a day or two, which was exactly the time frame that they had offered. I had said I would be willing to go on an open transport, but they couldn't get one, so they sent a closed one. Then they called me and said they were gonna foot the price difference.

    The driver came right to the door when he picked up the car and he spoke with us. He was wonderful. He had a huge tandem truck with him that took up half the street. He got the car, examined it and took pictures. I also took pictures. Two days later, they brought the car to my son right to his door. My son observed that it was in perfect shape and then gave the driver the cash. I had given Sherpa a check originally, and they gave the driver the cash that was due to him. The final cost of the service was exactly what Sherpa told me it would be. I had to give them $275, which I did, and my son had to give them $400. We were supposed to get a $50 gift certificate back, but my son never filled it out. He was entitled to it only if he sent them the bill. Later on, Sherpa sent me a follow-up email asking me what I thought of their service. I thought it was excellent.

    I was moving my vehicle from Florida to Arizona and Sherpa came in with the lower price although it was a different time of the year. The representative certainly wanted to work with me too. He tried to work with my budget and used some good sales strategies to get me to buy. Then when I said I needed to think about it, they’ve got a really great CRM solution which pings you with an email every single day that says, “Here’s why you wanna move your car now.” So when you’re in their system, you get a lot marketing communication. But that could be both a good and a bad thing. It might be a bit excessive but the gentleman I spoke with was very pleasant.

    The only challenge I have right now is getting my refund. There are two things that you get after the fact. One is you get a free car wash so you send in your car wash receipt and they credit you 20 bucks for that. I did get my 20 bucks back I also emailed my bill of lading and I haven’t heard back from that yet. That’s for 75 bucks. Also, the fact that I have to run to the post office, get my bill of lading, make a copy then mail it to them is super old school. I don’t know why they do it this way. I’d rather email it in or go to a website and upload my stuff then I can check my status right online. That aside, Sherpa is a great company. They did a great job and I would certainly use them again.

    I needed to ship a car from New Hampshire to Florida and I called Sherpa Auto Transport in a panic on a Monday and their reps were phenomenal.     We wanted to bring our car from our Michigan northern home to our southern Florida home. We have done that before and we thought that the company we had normally done it with was charging a lot more. So we started to look into it and we researched. We've been warned that there are a lot of unscrupulous drivers out there so we wanted to make sure that a broker was going to verify the credentials and insurance. I got Sherpa through the ConsumerAffairs recommendation. Sherpa's quote was higher but there is always somebody out there cheaper and there were also others that were even higher. So we felt that Sherpa was more than fair for their quote and then there were the actual results. The original quote was also the final cost so that worked out quite well.

    The Sherpa people were great. They were going to have a hurricane when I called them and the lady said she didn't care if they would have an office to work out of but she was gonna call me back on Monday. I was really early in doing it for my own peace of mind to make sure I had it. They called and told me that there was no problem and that it would work. The dispatcher also called me a couple of times to make sure that everything was good.

    Then during the trip, the driver was very responsible. There was a little mix-up on when he was supposed to deliver it. But I talked to the dispatcher and the dispatcher got it all cleared up. We had a predicament in that we had the driver pick up our car while we were still in Michigan but then they couldn't drop it off until we got to Florida. We were driving another vehicle and they had to work around us, which they do all the time apparently. So they got down here to Florida before we did and they ended up having to wait for us to get here. They were here about an hour and a half after we got here. Everything worked out perfectly.

    We purchased a car from Ohio dealership and needed delivery to Northern Delaware. We chose Sherpa for their outstanding reviews 5 star reviews. The carrier company who accepted the transport turned into a disaster from day 1. ** from Akron Ohio had an incident on the road en route in PA which caused significant damage to our car on back of trailer. The company was insured, but apparently the driver and his trailer were not. ** is not responding to insurance company and we now find ourselves in a dispute in order to get our claim approved to repair car that was damaged in transit before delivery and receipt.

    I reached out to Sherpa Auto Transport after experiencing some setbacks with another transport company.     My girlfriend was moving from Minneapolis to Phoenix and we were shipping a Jag XJL. We looked into five shipping companies before choosing Sherpa, which was the highest-rated. The gal that I spoke to the first day was awesome. We spoke about five times over the ensuing three days and she was very helpful. She gave me a lot of information and several different quotes, and was very accommodating.

    Their price was a little higher than two of the other ones, but Sherpa was worth it. The delivery was fantastic. First of all, they gave us the estimated delivery date. The driver also called to ask me the day before if it was okay that he would be there between 9:00 and noon. And I said sure. I’m a surgeon and unfortunately I wound up with an emergency operation scheduled on that day. I called him back on his phone at about 6 o’clock at night to tell him I got an emergency appointment that came up and if there was any way he could deliver it later. I told him I won't be in until around 11:30 pm. He came probably about 1:00 AM. There was no traffic and there was no one on the street. It was very easy to get the car unloaded. They did a fantastic job. The car’s condition was perfect, not a mark on it.

    The quality of the service that I got was unequalled, and I wound up giving the driver a nice, big tip as well because of his ability to accommodate me in the delivery. I was very happy with the service. They made it very painless and they were very helpful. The whole thing went very smoothly and I’ve given their name to two other people for vehicle transport the last two weeks.

    I purchased a vehicle in Tennessee and needed to get it down to Florida but I didn't have the time or opportunity to go up and get it. So, after looking into a number of transport companies, I got Sherpa's service considering mostly the straightforwardness of the whole thing. There were a lot of people that were promising a lot of stuff, but it didn't really sound that realistic. They were saying that they could do it for less but it’s certainly common that people quote something to get you to walk into it, and then you run into issues when you're actually taking delivery of the vehicle. And now looking at everything that happened, the quote I got from Sherpa seemed reasonable. It would have been nice to have been able to do it for a little less, but it is what it is.

    I was having challenges with the dealership, and Sherpa was able to work with me through those challenges, like when they were gonna release the vehicle. We were able to work through that on a real-time basis, which was really helpful. Whereas, I would think that a lot of other organizations that would have been like, "Well hey, you told us originally that it was gonna be available on this date.” And that was out of my control, which Sherpa was able to work through with me, stating good contact with me as far as when things were changing, so I was happy with all that.

    Delivery was a challenge as well, which has to do with the actual carrier contracted to deliver the vehicle. They had issues with another vehicle that they were picking up, so they ended up running later than expected. The original ETA was mid to late afternoon but that got pushed about 12 hours. So, I drove up at 3 o'clock in the morning to try to meet them at five, and then they ended up running two hours late. Still, I would definitely call Sherpa again if I had to transport another vehicle.

    I was having a personal purchased vehicle transported from Florida to West Virginia. I had one scheduled with another company but I cancelled because of their poor ratings. They also tend to underquote which makes it hard to find a carrier that's able to do it. The transport with Sherpa was handled professionally and there was good communication.     We were shipping a Saab 2,500 miles away and I had already scheduled with a company but they didn’t show. That forced us into an emergency transport and I ended up getting Sherpa’s name off of a TV ad. I also asked for recommendations from some of my other military people that I knew. Somebody else had shipped with Sherpa and said that they were good. The people I dealt with were very knowledgeable, informative and very communicative. I like the fact that they continued to send me emails every couple of days to keep me updated that they were still looking. It wasn’t just a big black hole of no contact. I was very satisfied.

    The only not-optimal piece of transaction is that I have to scan an actual hard copy of the bill of lading to their accounting office. I can’t digitally send it to them to get the refund. Moving is already a very difficult, delaying kind of event and our movers took our printer and smashed it into little pieces. So I still needed to find time and a place to get a copy of the bill then mail the bill out. So if I could have done it digitally, it would have been wonderful. I can do that in a couple of seconds – take a picture of it and send it over. That's no big deal instead of having to actually try to get a copy of it and unpack boxes to find an envelope. Back in the day, we keep all those things on hand and then sending out a piece of mail wouldn’t be a big deal. But I haven’t done that in years.

    On the other hand, Sherpa's quote was very fair. Their fee was $300 and we were gonna pay $795 to the driver. But it took a week longer to get a driver than they had originally quoted. When I asked if our quote was going to change, they said that what they do is take part of their fee and sweeten the deal with the driver. I ended up paying the same and they reallocated their fee to the driver. So they only pulled 145 from me and then I paid about $900 to the driver. Sherpa's cost was right in line with the quality of their service too.

    The driver got the vehicle to us three days after he picked it up and our interactions went really well. He ended up delivering really late but he had really good contact with us, letting us know what was happening. He called and told us that one of his taillights had gone out. He couldn't travel on the road with a broken taillight so we completely understood that. I felt bad for him too. We wanted him to be safe as well. It wasn’t a big deal. Other than that, everything had been really good. All in all, it was a very good business transaction. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending Sherpa to anybody in the military to do a military move.

    We moved out of our previous state and shipped a Toyota Forerunner with Sherpa Auto Transport. We checked online and relied on what the Sherpa representative told us. We completely trusted him and decided for that. The first time I called them to inquire, all information I needed were answered. We waited for the delivery of the Forerunner, but it was fine with us. The delivery was supposed to be in the morning but we got our car around 5 or 6. We had to wait but at least the delivery was done on the same day which was still good. According to the driver, he could not deliver the vehicle to the exact place because the road was narrow and he didn’t want to get a ticket so he asked us to go to another area. There was a slight problem with the time difference and we missed an appointment, but it was forgivable.

    The driver was friendly and seemed like a good guy. When we asked, he answered our questions. Since he is friendly, complete trust was given to him when he picked up our car and it was still the same when we got it. But if the delivery time was exact to what they told us, then it would have been a perfect service. If there was anybody from our friends in Florida who wish to ship their car to another state, then I would gladly recommend Sherpa to look up to.

    I was relocating for work and I needed to ship a Volkswagen Passat and a Jeep Patriot from Arizona to Pennsylvania. I went with Sherpa based on reviews at ConsumerAffairs, and I reached out via telephone and talked to a customer service rep. They gave me the information, then I reached out to a few companies after that and decided to go back to Sherpa. I called them back and they got everything set up. Their quote wasn't the cheapest available, but I had the most confidence in it because with some of the other transport companies, they'll quote you the lowest possible price and then escalate from there. I felt more comfortable going with a slightly higher quote knowing that it would the final number.

    Since there was a window, they told me what the most ideal day would be to get things picked up and dropped off, and we narrowed down when we should schedule it. They were very helpful the whole time. They told me what to expect from a payment perspective, when things would be charged, etc. The delivery was faster than I hoped, which was no fault of theirs. They advised me to schedule it for the earliest day, and it doesn't usually happen on the earliest day but it did. I was not yet back in Arizona during the delivery, so I had to have somebody sign for it. But they had no issues.     I needed to transport a vehicle that had tow equipment put on the front so I could tow it behind a motor home. I looked at a bunch of transport companies and got some quotes. Then I went to the ConsumerAffairs website and read some of the reviews and the reviews of Sherpa Sherpa Auto Transport were all good so I picked them. Sherpa's quote was fine. I didn’t take the lowest quote that I was offered and I didn’t take the highest quote either. I took something that was in the middle. Sherpa transported my vehicle for me over 1,500 miles to Pender, Nebraska and then back to Reno, Nevada.

    Everything was good in my dealings with the customer service reps. The only thing was that after I decided to go with Sherpa, they evidently posted on some website that I needed a vehicle moved since the truck drivers could go to the site and see what vehicles were out there for them to pick up. Then I started getting calls from the other transport companies that had given me quotes. They told me that Sherpa was never gonna get my vehicle picked up for that price and that they hoped that I didn’t give Sherpa my credit card numbers. So, it was really cutthroat competition with the other companies.

    Sherpa picked my car up on a Monday and they delivered it on Thursday morning. Then they picked it up in Nebraska on Monday and delivered it back to me on Wednesday morning. My interactions with both of the drivers were really good and the price for shipping my car was fair. Unfortunately, when my car got back to us, I couldn’t put the tow package on it. Still, I had a good experience with Sherpa and I would recommend them for sure.

    I was considering a handful of transport companies, but when I looked for reviews on Better Business Bureau, the name of Sherpa Auto Transport came up first. I had them ship my Toyota Prius from Everett, Washington to my daughter in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she moved to. The customer service reps were professional and friendly. I was concerned, though, because Sherpa cost a bit more than the regular and that's because they give the customer the real price and there are no tricks and surprises. In the past, I had a car shipped and I almost didn't get my car because I didn't have what the driver expected. I was really nervous, thinking I could not have that happen again.

    My need for transport service went on a computer nationwide and drivers looked at it. A driver, Max, called me before Sherpa did and I told him that since they already saw the job, I would let Sherpa know that they were willing to take it. So, Sherpa contacted the driver and that came on the ball. My communication with Sherpa and the driver was really good. They were both great and let me know every step of the way. The driver was really on top of the transport. The pickup and the delivery were both fine. The meeting of the driver with my daughter worked out really well. He found the place right away and pulled to the side of the road. I was surprised that he was able to sit there without blocking traffic. He was professional with whatever he was doing.

    The transport took three days and the delivery worked out well. The car was transported in an open truck and my daughter said it was really dirty when it arrived, but I told her that apparently that was normal. Anyway, the car was fine. The final cost of service was what I was hoping it would be. I wouldn't waste my time looking for other transport companies because Sherpa was very honest. I was afraid to give them my card number, but they did not take any money until they had the driver and set everything up like they said they would. Everybody did what they said they were gonna do, which is so important in business.

    I shipped a Toyota Prius 3,000 miles. I looked up 3 companies and Sherpa have better reviews online. They gave me a three-day window for the delivery of the car and they delivered within that window. However, it would be nice to get a confirmation like when it gets closer that it’s still on schedule. It might catch people’s attention a little bit better because I got caught off guard. I forgot I had a car coming in. Nevertheless, the delivery went well. A guy knocked on the door and the car was already unloaded. The papers were already ready for me to inspect the vehicle and sign. It was zero effort on my end, just for pick-up.

    The car arrived the same condition as I left it in. The cost seems expensive, but that’s just the going rate for shipping cars and considering what I got, I was happy with my experience. I gave them a call because if you shipped twice from Sherpa, you get a $50 Visa gift card. I didn’t meet the credentials because I lost my bill of lading. So I called customer service yesterday and they’re extremely helpful and ended up just even honoring the gift card offer without me even presenting the bill of lading. I was very pleased with that.

    I was moving across the country and I've never used an auto transport. I was supposed to use my friend's but I went through some articles online and saw Sherpa's reviews and I read through them. Some of the companies that said they were number one actually had the worst reviews ever. So, I was shocked because Sherpa didn’t have the bad reviews. The setting up was pretty good and simple and the reps were nice and friendly. One lady helped me out because when I did my original quote, it was supposed to be at a friend's house because I haven't had my permanent address yet. I asked if she could send it to my new address and she helped me out to make sure my original quote didn’t go over at all.

    They gave me a timeline but the rep told us we were gonna get the car even earlier than the quote which was fine for me because I had been waiting for my car. It took less than a week which surprised me. The cost was expensive but it's part of it and I understand the cost and the labor that goes into it. It was fine and was roughly around or a little bit cheaper than some of the other places I got quoted for. So, it was competitive. Ultimately the car arrived safe and sound, and despite the inconveniences, I’m still happy the service was available.

    My boss had to transport his old Porsche from his Dad's house in San Francisco to his Connecticut home. So, I Googled "Best shipping companies for cars" and I came across three. There was a company that was like $400 more than the cheapest and $200 more than the most expensive. I called but I didn’t follow up with them because I didn’t like that they had a five-day pick-up window because people are busy. I chose Sherpa because I liked my conversations with them and I liked the name. Sherpas are guides up in the mountains and they guide the mountain climbers up Everest and Mount Kailash in Tibet. Also, they came in line with the other three companies for the price.

    Crimson, the person I spoke to, was very informative. She gave me some good feedback and gave me a lot of information because being in New York City, I really don’t drive every day. Also, they were able to get KWIK. It was the shipping company they used and I got a rave review from the person who had the car in San Francisco who told me the driver was really nice, helpful, and courteous.

    They picked up the car on September 25th in San Francisco and they got it to Connecticut by October 2nd. The 25th was the best day in September for the person in San Francisco so, that worked out perfectly. They gave two dates for arrival and luckily for us, it came at the right time because if it came the next day, we would have been out of town and we would have had to put it in storage. My boss would have to be home to accept it because his wife was gonna be out of town. So, their customer service was great and talking to them was a pleasure.

    The car didn't come damaged. They would have taken care if anything happened to the car but why put yourself in a situation where you have to do all that. I was happy because I told my boss we should go with them. I'm kind of new to working for him, so I wanted things to go smoothly. If they had done a lousy job, I would have been upset. But I was truly satisfied and everything worked out fine.

    I was moving and I liked Sherpa's pricing and response time, so I went with them. I filled out their online form and they called me quickly and asked me what I needed. They seemed like they were experienced, so I thought they knew what they were doing. It sounded basic, but I didn’t get that feeling from the others that I called because they took a while to respond or they sent an email instead. Sherpa, however, confirmed the details of the logistic and the dates right away. But I asked them to move the delivery date out because I wasn’t going to be there on the day of, and they were flexible about that. And the transport ended up taking five days instead of two.

    I called the delivery driver and he communicated where he was and where he was going to be, so I didn’t have any problems with him. The car arrived extremely dirty though, both on the outside and on the inside, and I didn't like that. I don’t know where they drove it to or if that was just by virtue of being on the road, which I doubt because I’ve done this before and it has never come back that filthy. Another thing that I didn’t like was after a few days of driving around, I discovered two nails in one of my tires. I strongly suspect that the nails were from the car shipper because I didn’t even drive the car that much around here or go anywhere unusual. Nevertheless, Sherpa got the car here and in terms of the quality of their service, everything was fine overall.

    I bought an out-of-state used car. I looked into a dozen other transport companies but they couldn’t get me a commitment date and a promised time. Sherpa customer service reps were very responsive. It was all done through email and they put me in touch with the driver. Also as brokers, they were knowledgeable too. They were able to find the right driver on the right route for the right price. When the driver showed up, he showed up a day early and I wasn't ready to pick up the car. We rerouted the car a little bit outside of New York City in order to get it here quicker. But then, the car got here too quickly. It was fine, though.

    The reps from Sherpa handled it and I was able to pick it up the following morning. I met the driver at the location and he didn't seem upset about having to wait around an extra day. He gave me the receipt and we were on our way. Upon arrival, the vehicle seemed fine. I didn’t see anything that stood out or was unusual from the photos I was given. Overall, I had a very good transaction with Sherpa. Not only were they worth exploring if the above average price fits your budget, but they were also able to deliver the car at the time expected.

    I was shipping a Mercedes G300 2,800 miles cross country to my son. I filled something out online for a quote, and I had at least six companies contact me. When I got all the feedback from my initial email, I was very concerned about the industry in general. There were a number of comments about scams and high quotes, and I was debating on whether or not I was gonna do it at all. I went to Consumer Reports and read the reviews on four or five transport companies, and Sherpa was one of them. I explained to them my concerns and the rep explained in detail what would happen. They weren't the lowest quote, but I felt that because of the increased liability insurance that they require and other things that she was talking about, they seemed to care a little bit more and I felt at ease with them.

    I spoke to two or three people throughout the course of the service and they were all very good. The calls were recorded, which was good, and they all answered my questions completely. I wanted the door-to-door service and because of where I lived, it was a little more expensive that way. We worked through bringing the car to a common spot that brought the price down a little bit.

    During the delivery, the driver was very professional. He was very thorough in looking around the car and making notes where there was a scratch. My husband went through it with him as well, and we watched the car go on to the transport vehicle. I was happy with him. The transport was a lot quicker than I thought. We delivered the vehicle on a Friday and our son got it on Tuesday. All our son needed to do was inspect the vehicle, sign the bill and give them the remaining amount of money that was due.     I’m in Colorado and I had my car shipped to Arizona. I have a show quality car so I didn’t want to drive it out there. I looked at 3 shipping companies and the pictures that Sherpa showed online were very clean and nice trucks. But I didn’t realize at that time that what they do is they lease those rides out which is fine with me. It looked like they had good transport services so I went with Sherpa.

    Their customer service reps were very professional. They explained to me and kept their words. They asked me what I wanted, what my needs were, and they did a good job on it. I said the car had to go out on a Sunday or a Monday. Those were the only days I could really have it delivered, and I’d like to have it go out on the 8th of the month, which was three weeks ahead of time. They said they didn't see any problem with that. However, a day or so before that they said they were having a little trouble getting somebody to transport that out, but they were sure they would be able to accommodate me. Sure enough they called me on the morning of the 8th and said they had a transporter that was gonna be over there, and that he would call me in a few minutes.

    I took the car over to the driver because he couldn’t get that 72-quarter in the area where I live, which I understand. He delivered it on time in Colorado, which I’m very happy with. However, when my brother had looked over the car he said it was covered with sand and the it must’ve went through a snowstorm as the driver was delivering it. I was kinda concerned when the driver picked up the car because all those eight tires that were underneath didn't have mud flaps over the top. The driver said he was gonna put it midway, with another car in front of it. He said the car he was putting in front doesn’t run. I told him I asked for a spot on the top but I haven’t been there to inspect it. Evidently, the vehicle was on the bottom level which is elementary to me, as long as it didn’t get any scratches on it. Somebody had already called me and said that they pay for the cars to be washed and I just needed to send the receipt.

    Sherpa was right on the ball. They told me what the price would be and they didn’t waver from that. The only difference they did, which was fine with me, was that they said instead of us getting $250, we were gonna take $225. I would have to give the driver, instead of $400, $425 and that was what transpired. We gave the driver the $425 in cash. He gave a receipt to my brother and my sister who were there to receive the car. The cost was awesome. Sherpa did a good job and I would recommend them to anybody.

    I was moving by myself and my truck was too big to tow behind like a U-Haul. It seemed like there was a lot of negative things to say about truck shipping services but Sherpa had the best reviews online. I went with them and they gave me a good quote and good delivery times. It was a lot to ship a truck, but the quote seemed fair. It was definitely better than anybody else by maybe $300.

    They gave me a date and time they were gonna pick up the truck but we went over that date and I kind of got a little antsy to have somebody pick up the truck. I started looking around after they didn’t meet their time and they were decent at explaining why they couldn’t pick it up right at the time they said they would. So, it was all right. It could’ve been a little better and they could’ve reassured me a little more on picking-up times and that somebody would actually pick it up after they didn’t. But they followed through and found somebody. The driver came down. I had just gotten in South Florida and he picked the truck up at my sister's place the night before. They went over it and documented all the nicks and scratches. The next day, he was in South Florida to drop it off to me. He was very good at communicating and letting me know exactly where he was.

    We were receiving a vehicle as a gift and it needed to be shipped from California to Virginia. I looked into different transport companies, but when I saw a commercial for Sherpa Auto Transport, I figured that they were the best way to go. The rep I talked to answered all my questions without a problem. She didn't rush me or force me to make a decision right there and then. I realized that their quote was a little high, but when she told me that they make sure they get the best drivers that meet their requirements and qualifications, it gave me a peace of mind because I knew I had someone I can call to direct me if I had any issues with the driver.

    During the pick-up in California, the guy kept in touch, which was something I liked. Then, during the delivery, the driver got here two days beforehand.     My husband and I moved across the country from Virginia to Colorado and needed to ship a red Jeep Compass. We looked at about three different transport companies and Sherpa Auto Transport seemed to have good reviews, so we went with them. They seemed to be decent and their customer service seemed very good. The first time we put in an inquiry with them, they called right away to talk through their process. Once the transport was booked, they were in constant communication with me in letting me know when they had found a driver and when our car was being picked up.

    However, the driver gave us a delivery date of a Thursday but when Thursday came around, we didn’t hear anything from him until we got a call saying that there had been a mechanical issue, so he couldn’t come until the next week. My husband and I were flying back and forth from Virginia to Colorado and we weren’t able to accept the car on the day that the driver wanted to deliver it. Also, they wanted to accept payment through PayPal which seemed shady to me because that was not how it was supposed to work.

    I ended up calling Sherpa and right away I was able to reach someone who was able to assist in handling the process. He had the driver drop the car off at one of Sherpa’s third-party transportation companies locally, so when we were back in town, we were able to pick the car up from there. Also, Sherpa paid the driver and we paid Sherpa. They even refunded us $50 for the inconvenience. The cost was fair and reasonable for having a high-level customer service. We got other estimates from companies that were higher, and some were lower but they had bad reviews. All in all, even though we had problems with their third-party partners, Sherpa handled everything on their end very well.

    Sherpa has really good customer reviews so out of the four companies I looked at, I went with Sherpa despite the other companies giving me $150 less. It was the first we had ever had to ship a vehicle and Sherpa made it very easy. They were very good. I hadn't heard from the driver and Sherpa got me in contact with the driver. The driver that they had lined up was very experienced. We waited until they loaded the car so that I can send my son a picture of his car that it was on the way to him.     I bought a car out of state and I looked at over 25 different companies to transport it. I went with Sherpa because of the rebate they had and they weren't harassing me. Other companies were blowing up my email box. Still, was able to get someone right away at Sherpa and she gave me a quick rate. Thereafter Sherpa was able to do the pickup really quick. They didn't delay and weren't trying to load up a whole bunch of cars.

    I had them transport a Dodge Challenger from Fort Lauderdale to Georgia to Atlanta. The driver brought the vehicle to my location and unloaded it. Initially, he was going to pick it up, but he noticed something wasn't right on the vehicle. He called me and let me know that he could still bring it or he could not bring it. He turned around and picked it up for me. He let me know before he brought it up here and I was surprised. He also gave me the bill of lading with all the information on it. Everything was easy and paperless via email and it was a smooth transaction.

    The driver also let me check out the car. He showed me little marks that he had seen and noticed before transporting that he told me and took pictures of. He took pictures as he was loading and before he loaded, and sent them to me. He took every angle and took pictures of it on his truck, and it was good. Also, the quote given by Sherpa was reasonable. It wasn't too low like I wanted it, but it was also not too high either, which made me feel like it was safe. In the end, it was a 100% accurate.

    I bought a 1972 Dodge Charger and I needed it transported 500 miles. I went with Sherpa for their reviews and price. They provided me with a fair quote which was accurate at the end. I did not like though how they presented the discount in the service and I don’t think it was a $50 discount. It was in the quote and it would come at the end but they could have been clearer on that. They had a friendly and professional rep but I dealt with a lot of people who had heavy accents and couldn't speak English very well which I did not prefer.

    I was moving my parents' 2013 Buick Encore from Tucson to Spokane, but it was not running well enough for me to drive it that far. I looked at Sherpa and one other transport company, and then I decided to go with Sherpa seeing that they were very proactive as far as contacting and asking me if I needed help through emails. I then said no, and I was actually gonna drive the car myself. They told me to let them know if my plans change, and they did, because I decided it wasn't safe to drive the car. So they got right back to me, got me a driver set up on the day I needed, and it worked out.

    The rep at Sherpa was very professional and she knew what she was talking about. She told me exactly what would happen and gave me the driver's contact information. I was also in touch with the driver and he called me when he was a couple of days away. He was running a little late. So he told me the day he would be there for the delivery, and also gave me the address. And then, the day before the delivery, he gave me a certain time and he was there before me. He had already unloaded the car and it was fine. I had heard that most of the transports are in an open carrier, but this was a man that had an enclosed, really long trailer, where he could fit two cars inside. So it was better than what I anticipated. Also, the amount that I paid was the same as the quote Sherpa provided me, which in comparison with the other company that I looked at, was a realistic quote. All in all, I would recommend Sherpa.

    I was transporting a project car across the US, from New York to Washington. I've shipped cars several times before and I talked with a couple of companies. They all say on their website that there's no pressure, that they give you the information, and that they're not like the other guy. Sometimes the calls could be very different until someone else I talked to had used those same tactics. When I talked to Sherpa, they didn’t at all. They were more informative and explained the process. I felt comfortable about working with them. The quote was exactly what they had said. I have even asked if we could do any better because I had a target amount that I wanted to go with. They responded back with something that was competitive. It took me an extra week, but in the end, we found someone and it all worked out fine.

    I was having an old car shipped and the person I'm getting it from said it was running. When the first driver got there, they said they opened the hood and there was a bee nest in it. The person said they took the bee nest out. In the end, the driver didn’t take the vehicle up. He said it was because of non-running and the bee nest. I went back to Sherpa and explained the situation. They said they would find me someone else and they did.

    I was given a range of dates for the delivery and I was supposed to get 24-hour notice. The delivery was quick and early, which was not a bad thing, but it felt a bit inconvenient. I needed to be there for the delivery and I was trying to schedule it around my life. The driver called me two days in advance and said they'd like to deliver it in the next 30 minutes. I said that I commute to work and couldn't make it in 30 minutes so they canceled that drop-off and scheduled it for the next day, which was fine. They stored it out in a local storage lot here. I would use Sherpa again and I would recommend them.

    My daughter moved to North Carolina and I looked at dozens of different transport companies before choosing Sherpa Auto Transport. We went through various Yelp and other rating web services, and Consumer Reports rated Sherpa as the best choice. The customer service rep at Sherpa was great, very informative, and had a great demeanor. The initial quote was higher than everybody else, but I wasn’t willing to take a chance with a company that wasn’t rated well. The vehicle was shipped from my house in California to where my daughter is in North Carolina and they did fine. They showed up when they said they were going to. However, because of the flooding in North Carolina, the driver had to talk her through how he was gonna get there. My daughter didn’t have any transportation to get to where the car was potentially going to be delivered, but the driver finally got it within a mile off where she was living.

    The cost was good and the drivers on both ends did a good job. My only gripe at the whole thing is when they loaded the vehicle on to the long distance transport, it wasn’t taking off. Something happened to the back of the car after it left my house and before it got to North Carolina because there was a dime-sized ding in the back bumper. My daughter said she was gonna either call Sherpa or the transport company to find out what she could get done about it. Overall, it was a good experience. They handled the transport well especially considering the fact that it was an unknown situation in North Carolina when we were trying to ship the car. Sherpa did a good job.

    I was looking for a moving company that a had a reputable character. I decided to go with Sherpa as they were recommended by ConsumerAffairs. At Sherpa, the customer service rep was very helpful. He asked me specific questions like when I wanted to have my vehicle picked up and delivered. He also asked if there was urgency in the delivery of the vehicle. Thereafter, he gave me a projected date.

    However, there was a swing in the schedule of the pickup of my 2004 Jeep Liberty in Kentucky but then I had about four days open where I could get things fixed. The rep called me back when they ran into a problem and told me that the pickup would be on a Sunday or a Monday. In response, I said that it had to be on a Sunday because I would be on a flight on Monday. The vehicle was picked up on Sunday night and things worked out fine.

    Jimmy, the guy who picked up the jeep stayed in contact with me as he was delayed from Kentucky. He was very friendly and had a sense of humor. Initially, he told me that he was going to deliver on a Thursday but then it ended up being on a Saturday. Still, he told me when he was on his way and when he made it, the delivery was great. However, when he took it off the trailer, he may have lifted the four-wheel drive and I had to turn that off. Also, the car was dirty but then as a whole, nothing was wrong with it.

    Sherpa provided excellent service from beginning all the way to the end. Their reps kept me informed and if I called, I would get an answer. I enjoyed the professionalism the most. The cost of their service was reasonable as well and they kept their word. I read in other complaints that people who had vehicles shipped were told a certain price but then upon delivery the price would be different. I didn't have that problem. I recommend Sherpa for giving me the best experience and for their ability to make customers comfortable.

    I bought a car and I didn’t wanna drive it halfway across the country from Omaha, Nebraska to San Francisco Bay Area I checked out three transport companies and since Sherpa seemed to have a pretty good market share of the transport business, I went with them. Also, they were able to meet the dates that I needed. I tried one or two others, but they were talking two or three weeks out before they would be able to transport my vehicle. Sherpa used an independent contractor to do the transport but I really liked the guy. I talked to him and he obviously did auto transport before, so it all worked out.

    Sherpa's customer service reps were also very good. They gave me a quote upfront and the dates for delivery and they almost got a tracking number like a UPS. They followed up both with phone calls, text messages, and emails. Their service was all very professional and they gave me the name of the driver or his phone number and told me that the driver would be contacting me soon. So, it was all very transparent. The initial quote they gave me was competitive as well. I got three quotes and the one I got from Sherpa was right in the ballpark of what it needed to be. Then the final price was within 90% of that quote because the bill came in slightly under.

    And the delivery day came in three days before the expected date. I had a lot of interaction both with the driver and with his wife who was the manager of the company and that was all towards delivery and setting it up. I flew out to Omaha and I was there for the pick-up. Then, I was in the San Francisco Bay Area for the delivery. So, I made it a point that I was at both locations and there was quite a bit of logistics that was why I had so much interaction with the driver and his wife. All in all, I was very happy with the service and the driver. That was the first time I'd ever transported a car and I'm sure there are a lot of nightmare stories about it. But it all went really well for me.

    Among 4 different transport companies, I like Sherpa's professionalism and customer service. Their service was a little pricey, but they were pretty much upfront.     I'm in the military and I got stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. But I had a family in North Carolina and I was shipping my 2006 Chevy Colorado from Texas to North Carolina. I looked at three companies and when Sherpa started out, it was the cheapest. But the price went up to about $158 more than I was quoted. They didn’t tell me that the price could fluctuate and if you base the quality of the service on what I paid off, I paid too much. I had called Sherpa and I sat on hold for a little bit but with work, I didn’t really get to talk to anybody. $158 was a lot but it was not worth stressing over.

    I would advise others to be cautious with Sherpa. There wasn’t any transparency in my experience although the agent was nice when she sent me my quote. I confirmed it a week or so later and I got one email two days after I placed the request. It said they were struggling to find me a driver and that was it. They told me they found a driver about two days after that. I just waited for someone to tell me they were on their way to pick up my truck. He had given me a time when he would be there but it seemed like he always had an excuse for not being there when he said he was gonna be. It was either he was not there yet, he got caught somewhere or he stopped to get something to eat.

    I paid extra for the vehicle to be expressed but I got it about four days later than I was expecting to get it. The guy delivering my truck was giving me the runaround to get my own truck. Then they just gave me the typical excuse, "The truck bogged down." It was up to the point where I had to call him everyday just to make sure he was making progress on delivering my truck. By the time he showed up, I had talked to him on the phone probably eight times and he was ready to get it over with too. Nonetheless, I got my trailer and it still worked. It was not messed up. In fact, it was just how I left it when I left.

    We were moving from Connecticut to California and I got two quotes from different transport companies. Sherpa called to follow up and a lot of reviews that I've read were leaning more towards Sherpa so I went with them. The customer service was good. Their reps answered right away and they knew my whole situation when I called. However, it wasn’t that clear to me when I should start looking for a driver. I wish I had been guided to start a little earlier.

    I contacted them two months beforehand and I contacted them two weeks before we were leaving. We weren’t able to get a driver in time so I had to leave my car with my cousin which was a little stressful. But they found a driver within a few days after that to pick up the car. The service was great and my car got there. There was no problem at all with the drivers but there were bumps and the driver wounded up dropping the car off in San Jose which was about an hour away instead of where we originally wanted which was closer. Nonetheless, the drivers called us and met us.

    Also, they had given us a window and then the driver wanted to move it forward. We had reservations for a special event that we couldn’t miss and Sherpa pushed the driver to accommodate that which was helpful. Overall, I was satisfied with what we paid and my car got here fine. They were responsive whenever I called and they worked on my concerns. I was happy with Sherpa and I would recommend them.

    I was moving out of state but my truck broke down on me. I looked at other transport companies before choosing Sherpa but none of the others had a truck big enough to haul my vehicle. The transport took about three days and they arrived two days earlier than the day they told me. The delivery was hectic and they weren't able to drop the vehicle off on the street that I lived on, so I had to walk about a block and a half to go get the truck. It was because of the transporter size of the truck that they had and we had a tight street right there. The drivers were also good and I didn't have any issues with them. But the mirror on my driver's side of the truck was taken apart and was never reassembled. Still, they provided great quality service, were quick on the shipment, and the vehicle was picked up at home. I would recommend them.

    I used Sherpa to relocate a car considering the overall convenience of it which includes door-to-door delivery and the options available to me. The quote was very accurate and based on the research I had done, it didn't seem to be more expensive than any other service I had looked at. I tend to go towards a service that would be more middle to higher end of the road so it just fit my expectations.

    But the timeframe was the only wonky aspect about the whole experience. The pick-up was fine but we made it clear that we needed the vehicle delivered no earlier than a specific date. Then, the driver of the truck told me he was going to deliver a day earlier than we had originally discussed so that was a little bit confusing. Luckily, we were able to get a friend to help us pick up the vehicle on the earlier day. I sent the rep a report about the currently distant condition of the car so that she could check it. Everything checked out so that seemed to be fine from her end. She was very helpful but Sherpa should nail the timeline which added a little bit of extra stress to the move. Luckily, we were able to figure that out.

    I bought a truck for my dad in California and I live in Texas so it was about 2,000 miles transport. Sherpa had a good rating and their quote was accurate. Communicating with their rep before the transport was great. But after, not so great. The transporters were supposed to show up on a Friday but that got canceled. Then they said, Saturday, but that got canceled as well. They showed up on Monday and the driver called about an hour before he got here.

    The transport guy stuck his truck in my yard and did a few thousand dollars worth of damage. They showed up in a truck, parked on the street, unloaded the truck, and everything was fine. Then the guy couldn't figure out how to turn around, so he drove through my yard to turn the truck around. When he did, his truck and trailer and all the cars on the trailer sunk into my yard. He had three BMW's on that trailer and they're still trying to fix the yard. Then when we got the truck on the ground, I noticed last week that the driver used a tie strap to strap the truck to the trailer. When he did, he bent the tie rod, in which I’m in the process to replace. Sherpa said it was the driver's responsibility but the driver won't call me back so I just gave up.

    We needed to transport my daughter’s Honda car from Boston to California and I looked at three different transport companies. I read the reviews online and they rated Sherpa Auto Transport the best so I went with them. The rep that I kept talking to really kept me abreast of when they found the driver, when the car was being picked up and when it was getting closer. The driver also called me so it all went well. The original quote was close to the final cost. I didn’t realize that my daughter put some items in the car and there were some additional charges. Sherpa had told me not to put stuff in the car but my daughter did so the cost was a little different than the original quote, but it was okay. The actual transport was very fast. It was about four days and the time frame was met beyond because I thought it would take a week.

    We weren’t sure if they were gonna be able to get the vehicle directly at our house because of the size of the transport and it was garbage day. So, I met the driver a block away, then drove the car to the house. There were two guys and they were great and very helpful. They moved the car to an area that I could get to because it was a crowded street that they had to remove the car on. I expected the car to be really dirty but it wasn’t and I couldn’t believe it. We didn’t even put it in for the car wash. It was a really good experience.

    We moved cross country so we needed the two cars, an Audi Q5 and a RAV, be shipped from California to North Carolina. There was a company that Sherpa contracted here in North Carolina which is not far from where we live now. I felt that if that company was confident in them, then it would be okay to go with them too, so we did. The interactions I had with their customer service was straightforward.     The gentleman who picked up the cars was very efficient and obviously had been doing this for quite a while.     I live in New York City and I'm getting ready to move to San Antonio, Texas. My sister lived in Portland and she left the country for a couple of years.     I needed transport services for a car that I had that was not mechanically sound which I bought 1,200 miles away from my house. It wasn’t reliable to drive or it would turn into pieces if I tried to drive it that far. It had a bent drive shaft so I couldn’t drive it. I looked at transport services companies and aside from Sherpa and the number one rated company on the Consumer Affairs website as far as customers go, all the other companies seemed really disreputable and had bad ratings with Better Business Bureau.     I had purchased a vehicle and was sending it off to a family member. Setting up the transport with Sherpa was straightforward. I was impressed how quickly things got done. It was less than a week from the call to the pickup, which was good, and the woman I dealt with was very courteous. She got the job done. Sherpa's quote was high-end but given the reviews, I was comfortable with it. From Milwaukee, the vehicle arrived in Seattle in about a week. The driver had several stops to make across the country as he was heading out there. So the drop-off was on schedule. Maybe it was even a little early.

    The driver was a very nice and friendly guy. But he was rigid about his drop-off point in Seattle. He's been at it for 15 years and he's been to Seattle before. He hated the traffic. In fact, everybody hates the traffic in Seattle because there's only one interstate that goes south in the city. We knew the drop-off wasn't gonna be at the home of the recipient because they run a small side street with a hill. I wasn't gonna have them with the big trailer. But the driver insisted that he be met at the city zoo because of the huge parking space there.

    It was an appropriate spot but it meant traveling to get there and you had to have two people to pick the vehicle up. One would drive to the zoo and you need the other one to drive the two vehicles back. So that was a little inconvenient. It really wasn't nearby the recipient's home so it was a bit of a stretch. They had to take off from work and make all that happen. That was a little bit of a negative and they were probably a little upset about it. But on balance, it wasn't a huge deal. It was a minor deterrent and I understood it. Overall, I had a clear picture of what was gonna happen and all things considered, it went very smoothly.

    Nicholas has an exotic vehicle and we moved it back and forth across the United States. His parents live out East and I, his assistant, arranged to have the 911 shipped to his father who was 1,000 miles away. I looked at three different transport companies and Sherpa had the best reviews. They didn’t appear to damage the vehicles and Nick was very specific about not wanting that vehicle damaged before it arrived.

    The Sherpa rep was very good. I called her and then I got busy because I travel with Nick to different locations, and she followed up with me. She was the only one out of all the services that followed up, so I was very impressed with that. I do all of Nick’s follow up and I stay on people. She was also very courteous. She explained the whole thing to me, how it worked, how the mileage charges worked, what the options were and what was covered and not covered. Then when I had a subsequent question, I could get her right on the line. Sherpa was a bit more expensive than others in the market but we would gladly pay for the customer service.

    The delivery on the other side went well, although the vehicle was delivered after it was dark so it was a little frustrating because from an inspection standpoint, it was hard to see. Still, the transport was very quick. Sherpa told us that it was gonna be a week or two weeks and the car got there in three days. They got the car there on time and there was no damage. The cost with Sherpa was good too. We have transported in the past as this was not our first show. We used someone else before, a covered carrier, and it was less expensive but the communication was not as good. Sherpa was wonderful to work with. So when we will move Nick's car back next year, we will use Sherpa again.

    I was moving from coast to coast, from New York to Nevada. I put something out online and I was getting tons of people sending quotes. I called one or two and when I spoke with the people at Sherpa, I felt a bit more comfortable in the insurance and the way everything was getting done. They were very professional and as far as insurance coverage, they were plain about how things were handled. They explained that if they gave me the price quote, no matter what, even if they couldn't find somebody for that rate, they were still gonna charge me that quoted price. That made a difference since not a lot of companies are gonna do that. I went with them so that there would be no surprises later and there weren’t.

    Sherpa's quote was within the range of everybody else's. It was kind of mid-range which was okay. It was not the best time of the year, unfortunately, because sometimes you don't get to plan that. They said the rates were a little higher in the summer, but there were transport companies that charged a lot more and some a whole lot less. Yet even though we all wanna pay less, we have to be leery of the very low because sometimes there are reasons why and then we get hurt in the end, which is not a good thing.

    Everything was wonderful with customer service. It was a very pleasant experience. When you're moving out, so many other things are going on, so I had many things to do besides packing. There were so many logistics and the last thing I needed was a problem with one of them. With Sherpa, the process was straightforward. There were no issues and that really helped. The driver was very nice and accommodating. I didn't know that they were incoming with the big truck to the home, and I didn't have anybody to be able to get me there. Then I drove my car and followed him to where the car needed to go. He was very personable and everything got down in time. They got the car there in such great time that it was waiting for me when I arrived. It all worked out. I was happy all in all and I would definitely recommend Sherpa.

    I wanted to save miles on the vehicle so I had it transported. I Google searched and found that Sherpa Auto Transport is one of the top-ranked service providers. It was really easy to get it all set up with them. And I get a quick turnaround to hear back, to get scheduled for a truck driver. The vehicle was transported for 800 miles and it got to its destination almost a day before I had asked for it. That was really great. It was convenient, and it worked out for me.     I needed my 2004 Volkswagen hauled across the country. I had a back injury, so I couldn’t drive for 2,000 miles. After looking at five different companies, I decided to go with Sherpa. I liked the time they gave me and their reasonable price. It was in sort of the price range that everybody else was quoting, but they seemed like they were gonna get it done. They quoted me a price via an email and the next time I spoke to them was when I got a call from the driver saying he was in the neighborhood to pick up the vehicle. In the end, the final cost was what they had quoted. That was the issue with some of the other companies. They were quoting one thing then would call me back and quote me something different. But Sherpa didn't do that. During the delivery, when they were within a half-mile of where I was, they gave me a call saying that they were there. Then I met the driver and my car was in good condition when I got it.

    I used Sherpa Auto Transport service for a move from California to Michigan. They were very prompt and they gave me the date that I needed where the other companies were just giving me a window. The only problem was the time that they dropped it off. It was 11 o'clock at night and we had to meet the people because we lived in a small road so the big truck couldn't get down those roads.     I had a very good experience with Sherpa. Their ratings on the Better Business Bureau and the ConsumerAffairs' website made me decide to go with them. Plus, I couldn’t find any really bad, negative reviews of Sherpa online so that made me feel they were a safe bet. I had checked the company before them and when it came down to the pickup date, they had started giving me the runaround. I called Sherpa and they picked up a day earlier than they said they would. Everything was very straightforward. They gave me the quote, explained that the car needed to be fully cleaned out and I couldn’t have any personal items in there.

    I live in a major city center and the carrier truck was not able to come to my location. But I was able to take an Uber 20 minutes away to meet the driver at his trucking facility and he gave me the keys. I looked over my car, signed the paperwork and he handed over two money orders.     When I spoke to a Sherpa rep, she gave me a little confidence on them. She explained to me what was going on when transporting a car. They provided me with a good quote and it was comparable. Then they got to the delivery quickly. The car got to my house intact and with no damage. However, there was a miscommunication between Sherpa’s rep and the actual driver. Since I work over an hour away from home, I needed a two-hour notice. I was anxious about getting the car and I wondered when it would be in my house so I called them to ask. They told me that they will check with the driver and will give me a callback. They called me about 11:30 and said that the car will arrive at 1:00. It was a little short notice as I was still working.

    I got home three minutes before 1:00 and I waited for them to show up but they did not show up until about 6:00. Once the driver got to my house, I talked to him and he said that he always tries to give a four-hour window. He went from one big city to another and he was running through traffic lights. He told the rep who called him that it would be 1:00 to 5:00 and that in our vicinity, it would be closer to 5:00. It was a little aggravating and the driver was aggravated too and he apologized. He was a nice guy and super careful to get the car down because it was raining when he showed up. I was happy with what he did. The rep at Sherpa was probably telling me what I wanna hear, which is sooner than later, but they need to listen to the driver a little more. Other than that, everything went well.

In most cases, they were less and others have adjusted their price because they were following after the pricing that I received from Sherpa.     I had to move and I looked into five transport companies where I entered online and requested a quote. The interactions with the Sherpa customer service reps were wonderful and so I went with them as they made it easy.     There were five different transport companies that I looked into and decided to go with Sherpa due to their cost. Sherpa also got back to me right away and I used their service just for moving. The quote they provided seemed very reasonable and it was accurate. I interacted with their reps over the phone and they were very helpful. They picked up the phone right away and then called me back when they had questions. I got an email saying the truck had arrived but it hadn’t arrived. So, I contacted them and they got back to me right away.

    The shipment took nine days from Washington to Seattle. My vehicle was picked up within walking distance of my house in D.C. and then the driver dropped it off within walking distance of my house in Seattle.     I tried to get the pricing for another shipping company then I looked at the ConsumerAffairs and googled who Sherpa was. Back then, I had to relocate within two weeks, so I had no time to shop around and I decided to go with Sherpa. I had a good interaction with their reps. The quote they provided was higher than what the other company gave me and their justification was that it was hard to get somebody who was going to Napa because it was more remote than San Fran or downtown. I could understand that but it was at a couple of hundred dollars more than the cheapest rate that I found with the other company. But in the end, I paid the same amount as final cost.

    Also, the timeframe for the delivery was good and really quick, which was nice. But I had them ship my Land Rover to an accredited dealer because I was to finally arrive in town after a week later. And when they dropped my car off, there was some miscommunication between the driver and the dealership service center. But they sorted that out.

    When I got my car, it has a pen mark on my front seat that I know was not there when they picked it up. But other than that, I didn’t see anything else wrong with my vehicle. All in all, Sherpa's fee was expensive but that got the job done. They were also accommodating and the whole transaction was convenient. But if one were to ask me if Sherpa was good, I'd say that they could have done better.

    I was moving and there was a truck in Alabama that I wanted to move out here in Texas. I read the reviews for Sherpa and then, I was pleased with the website and how everything was laid out. All the information was answered and I didn’t get that from the other companies so much and there were some bad reviews on the other ones. Sherpa’s reps were very easy to work with. They ran into one problem and it was resolved quickly, so I was pleased with that. People always want a lower quote but I was satisfied and it was exactly what I was charged.

    I had to put a date in for the pickup and I had to make it work since I thought it was around that day. I understand the logistics of it but it was frustrating. I drove 15 hours to get there at the pickup location and didn’t even sleep. By the time I got there, it was four in the morning but the driver got there at eight in the morning. Then, there was a communication barrier because the driver didn’t speak good English. My grandfather was there for the pickup but I'm glad I went because that would have been a little more challenging for my grandfather than it was for me. We got through it and even my wife while receiving the truck. There was no problem with the delivery and when the truck arrived, it was perfect.

    There was a female there when I was getting my vehicle picked up who was asking questions about Sherpa. She was trying to get information from the driver who didn’t speak in English. So, I talked to her and gave her the number to contact Sherpa and the website.     We relocated from the West Coast to the East Coast with two vehicles, so we needed to use a transport service. Sherpa Auto Transport transported one from Mountain View, California to Boston and the second one was from Salt Lake City to Green Bay, Wisconsin. We were supposed to drive across the country, but our trip was interrupted by a death in the family. Sherpa arranged the transport in 24 hours and picked the car up in Salt Lake City at the hotel. We went to the funeral and the car met us in Green Bay a few days later.

    I had originally booked with another company two months in advance, but on the day of the transport, they were nowhere to be found. We had already paid them and they had assigned a driver. The driver called me on the day of the pick up and said that he was not scheduled to be there for two more days. We were flying out to drop our son off at college, so we were stuck. They said not to worry and that they would take care of it. They notified us the next day that they had picked the vehicle up. We got home two days later and found that the car in the driveway had not been picked up. The driver told me that he was gonna pick it up first thing in the morning and when I called back the next morning, I said that the car was still on the driveway, but the driver reported that he picked it up an hour ago. That company was a disaster.

    I called Sherpa because they had such a high review. They arranged the transport on the same day on an emergency basis, got a driver, and picked the car up and took it to Boston. That bailed us out of a bad situation and it went well. They kept us informed. We couldn’t even get the other company to answer the phone, but Sherpa always answered the phone and they always knew where the car was and gave us updates. I dealt with a different person for each of the transport. After we shipped the first car, we had a second car and we were driving that one across the country a week later. We got on the road, but five days into the trip, my wife’s mother died in Wisconsin, so we had to interrupt the trip and we dealt with another Sherpa person who picked the car up and arranged it all. They took the problem out of our hands and solved it. They bailed us out twice in a row, two weeks apart.

    There were two separate women who did a phenomenal job and they did the moves on an emergency basis for the same price that was my original quote from the other company. They felt bad for my situation with my mother-in-law and they gave me a $50 discount. The cost was great and finding a driver on two occasions in a day was phenomenal. I had moved vehicles across the country before over my career and this was the easiest move that I have done. Everything happened flawlessly.

    My daughter got a faculty position in North Carolina and it wasn't worth buying another used car when she knew hers was in good shape so we were moving it across the country. I asked a lot of friends if they had ever moved a car across the country and Sherpa was the only one where I got at least a decent response. Everybody else said all the other ones were bad.

    I had a good experience with the people at Sherpa. They were very responsive to any questions. We wanted to put things like brooms in the back of the car and they were very good about explaining that that would be based on the driver. That was our only question and other than that, it was all straightforward. Sherpa's quote was also what everybody else had quoted so it was reasonable. Also, I noticed that reviews on other transports said that when there was an issue getting a driver, the other companies bumped the quote. But Sherpa maintained the quote for us and took less of the broker's fee, which was very nice.

    The driver was on time picking up the car but we had one hiccup with the drop-off. The transport company screwed up and made us panic for a minute. We were told the car was gonna be later than it was so we were expecting it a day later. But the driver brought it exactly when he said he was gonna do it. We must have been mixed us up with somebody else and apparently, they weren't talking to the driver. That aside, the driver was nice enough when we picked up the car. They couldn't bring it to the actual townhouse because there was no way they could've gotten into those narrow streets. So we met somewhere and that worked out fine. I knew to expect that it would be dirty, and that was basically what happened. It was fine. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd do it again with Sherpa. I also have a friend who had been waiting for weeks for a car to be picked up and I suggested to go ahead and try Sherpa.

    Sherpa Auto Transport had a really great price when I had them ship a Maserati and a Yukon XL. They were also able to do it right away and the time they were going to keep my vehicle is the shortest out of any company that I called. The cars were picked up on a Thursday and they were handed to us on a Saturday which blew my expectations out of the water. And the guy that dropped off my car was amazing. He moved the Maserati it like a pro and I told him that I’d never seen anybody get the car off of the trailer the way he did. I have seen guys use stacks and Styrofoam and it's a scary process. But the guy drove his back wheels upon the big blocks that flatten the trailer out and the car slid right off. Everything was perfect. We were very satisfied and I would recommend them.

    My daughter is doing to do a semester in Los Angeles for college and we were shipping a Ford Escape 2015 to her from New Jersey. We looked on the internet and made a brief search. Then all of a sudden, our phone got crazy. It got a little annoying because all these different companies called three times a day. We only looked at two companies online and I didn't know where they all got our name from. It was a little overwhelming and my husband narrowed the choices down. Sherpa Auto Transport's quote was reasonable, although we were hoping that it would be a little less. But we needed the car there and we had to pay whatever the price was.

    When the driver reached California, he called my daughter. We told him that she was not going to be in LA until Sunday night but he called her on Friday, said that he was there, and asked if he could deliver. My daughter said that she was still in New Jersey and hadn't left yet. We were specific that it was Monday that we needed a pick-up, but he tried to deliver earlier. Then he came back on Monday and everything was fine. My daughter was in a school apartment and they came there and met where it was specified. Upon the vehicle's arrival, it was filthy, but Sherpa offers a car wash service, so my daughter said that she absolutely needed the car wash.

    The final cost was fine, but the it was a little confusing. We knew the dollar amount and it said, "Cash or certified check." I went to the bank and I said I needed a certified check, but they said that they no longer do certified checks and that they would give me a bank check instead. We were confused if a bank check was going to be good or not, so we got a little nervous. My daughter was out there and she had no access to cash at the time. We were also a little confused on who to make it out to. In the end, we gave the driver cash. He was very nice on pick-up. My husband said that he wanted to take a picture to give to my daughter, so she would know who she was picking up from at the other end and he was very willing to do that and gave a nice smile. All in all, I have no complaints about Sherpa's service and we are probably gonna do the same thing in bringing the vehicle back.

    We were moving and we needed to have our car shipped. We looked at three other companies online and we ended up with Sherpa Auto Transport. The person on the phone was really helpful. Every time we called Sherpa, we spoke with somebody different. They were all very professional, helpful and courteous. It was good from there and we had a good feeling. We got all the information online, so we could read it and we were clear about it. And then, the driver called when they said he would, and it kept continuing to be consistently.

    The driver stayed in communication with us about the car. He let us know when he was gonna be there. We all agreed on the spot, scouted it out, went there, and he was there exactly when he said he would. We met the driver somewhere because the trucks are big. We met him in a big parking lot area on a side street and it was perfect. We paid over seven for the car uncovered but it was fine. Though we would have preferred it being right around the 500 mark, which was going one state over, not across the country. But given that, it just went over to Arizona. It went 10 hours away for that. A couple of hundred dollars less would have been a little bit better, but the car got there safe and it got there in two days so everything was fine. We've also gotten a lot of emails from Sherpa, confirming the car was delivered. They don't just do the service, leave and then don't hear from them again. So, it was all good.

    I was relocating and when I looked at some reviews of transport companies, Sherpa kept coming up as one of the top ones. It’s unfortunate that it is expensive to ship a car but the cost was fair. I did notice however, a couple of days after I got home, that there was a decent-sized scratch on one of the rear windshields. My brother handled the delivery and he didn’t notice it. I also didn’t notice it at first. Unfortunately, I didn’t really have time to address it because I had to go to Greece to get married. But whenever you ship a car there’s a possibility of something happening. I was pleased that it wasn’t more than that. The experience was great aside from that. They were really fast too.     I was moving from coast to coast and I was shipping a BMW. I chose Sherpa among the four companies I looked into because they had better ratings. But initially, I went with another company. Their price was significantly lower but when it came down to scheduling someone, they charged $400 more that they essentially had the same price as Sherpa. If they were not giving me the full price upfront, I might as well go with Sherpa, so that was what I did. Their reps were pretty good and they went through all of the information. They were able to address any of my concerns, so I felt comfortable working with them. Also, I paid exactly what they quoted.

    The delivery and pickup went great as well. The vehicle of the pick-up folks that they subcontracted broke down so they came a day later. But I didn't mind that. Accidents happen. And they texted me to let me know when they got it fixed and when they were on their way. The communications was really good and I was very pleased with it. The people that picked up my car were the same people that delivered it and they were very nice. They were also very attentive to my car. They took pictures and took the time. I felt bad for them that they had broken down because I know how that is.

    All in all, the entire time it took them to delivery my car very short. They picked it up on a Thursday night then I got on a plane on Saturday to get to Florida and they said the car was ready on Sunday. I couldn't even believe it. But I told them to deliver it on Monday. Also, the cost of their service was proportional to the quality of their service. It was summer at the time and I understand that it cost a little bit higher, with the air conditioning, gas, and everything else. They give you a $50 coupon, too. I still need to cash in mine by emailing them a copy of the bill of lading I got from the transport people.

    I had a good experience with Sherpa Auto Transport. I needed somebody to get my 2008 Vette from Utah quickly, and they did it. They got it down to Florida for me. It’s 750 miles on the road, I didn't want to drive at all and get a lot of road wear on the car. They gave me a reasonable quote, considering the gas prices and everything else, in the nick of time. Though it was around $65 less than what I actually paid.

    It took them about five days to deliver the car and they didn't scuff up its bottom like a transporter I had once before. In my experience with car transport, I've had three, they were hell to deal with. But it was quick and easy dealing with Sherpa. They called me at the last moment, telling me one of their drivers pulled out on them, but they managed to come back and they fixed that. I may drive back next time I had to move but if I gotta ship the car, I’ve got Sherpa’s number and I'll probably call them up to do it again. The guy that I worked with was nice and was knowledgeable with cars and he knew what he was doing. I trust him. I'd definitely recommend them.

    We were moving from Washington to Arizona and we looked at two transport companies. When we spoke to Sherpa, they seemed knowledgeable and weren't pushy. ConsumerAffairs was also the deciding factor. The quote we got was competitive with the other ones that we've called. However, the delivery of the vehicle was a little strange. They told us that they would be at the house to pick up the car at a certain time and date, and gave us a timeframe. I asked if it was gonna be a big truck or a little truck because they can't get a big nine-passenger car trailer in our cul-de-sac. They weren't quite sure and were a little fuzzy on all that.

    When it was getting to be near the end of the pickup time, we had to call and ask where the driver was. Sherpa said that they would call him. We were outside by the garage and there was the wild driver coming down the driveway, skidding across the cul-de-sac and screeching the brakes. It was a broken-down old SUV with one fender missing and airbags off. I went out to meet him and asked if he would be filling out to pick up our car. He said, "This is your car." He had that car on his small tow truck that can handle three vehicles. He called his office and they said he had dropped off the wrong car. He was supposed to drop that broken-down car off somewhere else and pick up the Mercedes at our house. Then, the driver said that he would be back.

    He rearranged another vehicle on his truck and he picked up our Mercedes. The guy who was the original driver was sick, so he had his brother come in, however, his brother was a mechanic. They got off to a bumpy start with this, and all I could think of was that it was gonna be a miracle if the car would go down to Phoenix. It did and it was in one piece, the story came out well and it was timely. They picked up the car on the 15th of August and delivered it on the 22nd. The driver and the company needed to communicate a little better. They didn't tell us that they were picking up the vehicle here, taking it in a smaller truck down to Portland, loading it on a big carrier in Portland, and sending it. But they were pretty good overall.

    We're a military family and we wanted to drive one car across. I looked at about five different transport companies, but I liked the Sherpa Auto Transport representative. She was very thorough, informative, very kind, and patient. She explained the whole process and how the transport works. She answered all my questions and didn't hesitate. She knew all the answers, so she was well-prepared. She did it many times and she explained the difference between the closed and the open transport. The only critique I have is that other people kept calling me because they can see that my car had not been assigned to a driver yet. They gave me a date for pick-up and we were approaching that date, but I still hadn't heard a confirmation from them.

    I didn't get a confirmation until the day before and it was two days before I was scheduled. I got a confirmation that the car was getting picked up that evening. It was a really short and immediate notice. I had contacted a different carrier for my car, thinking I would need a back-up, and as soon as I called the other one, Sherpa sent me an email saying that my car was being picked up at 8 o'clock that night. So, I had to make arrangements. If Sherpa had better follow-through, it would be perfect. I had to stop my day to call somebody else and worry, and I tried to figure out and got the short notice of the pick-up. Also, I was car-less, so I had to rent a car and it was a bit of an inconvenience.

    The quote that I received wasn't the lowest, but it wasn't the highest. It was right in the middle and Sherpa gave us a military discount. Also, there were customer reviews for Sherpa that showed me that the couple hundred dollars more I was paying was worth it. Our vehicle was transported from California to Ohio and it was great. Our driver was awesome and very professional. He took great care of the car. He told me the time of delivery and he was there at that time. The car was already unloaded because he got there a little earlier and he was ready to check it. I would use him again.
