We're a military family and we wanted to drive one car across. I looked at about five different transport companies, but I liked the Sherpa Auto Transport representative. She was very thorough, informative, very kind, and patient. She explained the whole process and how the transport works. She answered all my questions and didn't hesitate. She knew all the answers, so she was well-prepared. She did it many times and she explained the difference between the closed and the open transport. The only critique I have is that other people kept calling me because they can see that my car had not been assigned to a driver yet. They gave me a date for pick-up and we were approaching that date, but I still hadn't heard a confirmation from them.
I didn't get a confirmation until the day before and it was two days before I was scheduled. I got a confirmation that the car was getting picked up that evening. It was a really short and immediate notice. I had contacted a different carrier for my car, thinking I would need a back-up, and as soon as I called the other one, Sherpa sent me an email saying that my car was being picked up at 8 o'clock that night. So, I had to make arrangements. If Sherpa had better follow-through, it would be perfect. I had to stop my day to call somebody else and worry, and I tried to figure out and got the short notice of the pick-up. Also, I was car-less, so I had to rent a car and it was a bit of an inconvenience.
The quote that I received wasn't the lowest, but it wasn't the highest. It was right in the middle and Sherpa gave us a military discount. Also, there were customer reviews for Sherpa that showed me that the couple hundred dollars more I was paying was worth it. Our vehicle was transported from California to Ohio and it was great. Our driver was awesome and very professional. He took great care of the car. He told me the time of delivery and he was there at that time. The car was already unloaded because he got there a little earlier and he was ready to check it. I would use him again.
Maria, we’re so glad you had a great experience working with our representatives to get your vehicle shipped. Part of what sets Sherpa Auto Transport apart from our competition is that we won’t work with just any carrier. Finding an appropriate driver is our priority, an effort which can take time. As soon as we find the driver who best suits your needs (and meets our high standards) - we let you know. It’s wonderful to hear that our thorough vetting process worked and you had such a positive experience with the “awesome” driver we chose for you.
Thank you for choosing Sherpa! We hope to work with you again in the future.

I needed to get a car transported from California to Kansas City and Sherpa came through. I checked four companies before going with them and because of their price, I chose them. I had pleasant interactions with their reps and the quote they have me was fair and accurate in the end. My experience went great and everything was sent like it was supposed to be. During delivery, they met me at the specified location then I had a brief rundown with the driver. The entire transport took three days and their service was fair. They did everything they said they were gonna do.
Teremun, we’re glad that you had an excellent experience shipping your car with us. Just like the quotes we provide, our representatives strive to always be fair and honest. Being transparent and communicative is a priority for us along with ensuring that your car is delivered transported and delivered safely. Thank you for trusting us to ship your car. Should you need to do so again in the future we hope we will have the chance to work with you again!

I was moving to Seattle and I needed to ship my vehicle, an Audi A4. I looked at around five different transport companies, but Sherpa Auto Transport was recommended by a friend. The quote that was provided to me by Sherpa was reasonable. It was up to the par or quite equal to the other quotes. The customer service at Sherpa went as smoothly as it could. There were a couple of times when the driver was not picking up my calls. I called customer service and they were able to retrieve information from him, like where he was because the driver promised me around three times that he would be there. He may have been so close somewhere, but he didn't want to take my calls.
Also, the delivery was 14 days late and I started with my new company on the same day it came in. He said that he was going in two hours, but I was in an orientation that day and I was not able to get out, so I called up my brother who missed his office for half a day to pick that car up. The driver was very unreasonable. He said that he was going to Oregon the next day and if I didn't pick up that day, then I might have to pick it up the next week. The car was dirty at the time of delivery and my brother was trying to find many scratches, but the truck driver wanted to go as fast as he could. He said that it was time to go and that if my brother could get the car clean that day, then let him know if there were any scratches. Overall, there was no damage, so that was good. I just didn't like the transporter, the one who drove the vehicle, but I'll definitely recommend Sherpa.

I purchased a car in California and live in Massachusetts. I read reviews online and after I spoke with Sherpa’s representatives about what kind of guarantees and services they offered and about how they screened drivers I decided to go with them. Their quote was competitive. The quote I originally received was $300 to the transport company and $1100 to the driver. It turned out to be $250 for the transport company and $1200 for the driver. It was within 50 bucks if I split the difference but it was nothing troublesome. I did an open transport and the car was filthy when it got here but Sherpa did the whole carwash thing which was a nice little perk. The drivers were very friendly and were able to accept PayPal which was very convenient. I didn’t have to worry about bringing $1200 in cash out to a parking lot somewhere.

I was moving my car from my previous location to my current one and I looked at six transport companies. The customer feedback said that Sherpa had zero qualms throughout the transportation process so I decided to go with them. The customer service rep told me that they were trying to fit me to the best time and date. I was expecting that it would be four days later than I scheduled, but it got scheduled by the next day and they didn’t call, so, it really surprised me. That day didn’t fit me but we were able to find another date. They weren’t happy because they didn’t want to switch the carrier nor the day but they helped me figure it out so, it worked. The price was too high but the delivery was safe and there were no scratches on the vehicle. The company told me what time they would be there but it was several hours late. Still, I got the car on the day it was scheduled. The driver called me and explained the situation.

I was moving from Texas to New Jersey and I couldn't drive all the cars so I needed to have one shipped. I looked into two companies and Sherpa's quote was a little bit less the other one I had gotten. So that was good. Still, it was a little bit expensive. I wanted to make sure it was worthwhile. I found out that even though Sherpa didn't have as long as a history, they still had better star ratings. So I went with that. Sherpa's representatives were also really good on the phone. They were real nice and they did what they said they were gonna do. So I was happy.
The only problem I had was with the driver from JPF Trucking. He didn't go to the place that was indicated to meet me for the pickup. He came to the apartment even though I had told him I really couldn't have a driver there. So he met me on the side of the highway, which was dangerous. But that wasn't Sherpa's fault. Then for the delivery, he also brought it to a different address. We were trying to meet him in the parking lot of a store so we wouldn't have this big truck blocking this little tiny road in front of our house. I even called Sherpa and told them to make sure the guy would not come to the street. The spot was right around the corner. But he came here anyway. That aside, I had a good experience with Sherpa. The quote was also right on the money in the end.

I'm in the military and I had to PCS from California to Wyoming. I looked into three companies that could transport my vehicle and I liked the reviews for Sherpa. Also, the shipping with two of the other companies would have a four-week turnaround while Sherpa's timeline was quicker, so I went with them. Everybody was pretty much helpful for the most part and they were honest. Also, the delivery was awesome. Bad weather played an issue but the driver called and kept me updated with everything as far as getting my car to me. They picked it up on the 28th and dropped it off to me on the 3rd, so the whole transport didn't take longer than a week. If I'm going going anywhere else, Sherpa would be the first call I would make because I'm familiar with them and our transaction very easy.
Hi Eric. Thank you for your service and for trusting us to ship your vehicle when you had to relocate. Our representatives pride themselves on being not only helpful, but honest and transparent as well. It’s clear that you experienced this first hand working with us.

I obtained a job in Florida, so I had to move here and have my car shipped to me. I checked out four companies then I went to ConsumerAffair's website and they put Sherpa as trusted or high-rated, so I went with them. Their reps were good and responsive in email, so that was useful for me. I cannot always call and accept calls. So, they sent the quote via email and even if I had questions on it, they were responding on email. The quote was reasonable and pretty much in the same range which the other companies were providing. They said $850 and I paid $850, so they stuck to the quote they've given and that was one good thing.
The pickup was on time but when the driver came out, he did not have any bill of lading to give me. So I had to call Sherpa and ask for some documentation that he was picking up my car. He couldn't just take my car without paper. Then Sherpa called him about it. Also, the car was delivered late in the night because of weather issues. The driver came around 11 o'clock in the night but he kept me updated, saying he was stuck somewhere and needed some more time to come.

I am in the military and so is my husband. I got stationed in North Carolina and my husband was in California so we needed the vehicle shipped to North Carolina. I saw good reviews for Sherpa off of a reliable website. The price they quoted was higher but I talked with them and the rep ended up lowering it for me. She also called me a lot and emailed me the whole time. She seemed like she knew a lot and if she didn’t, then she got in contact with someone who did right away. She helped me a lot with the process.
It took about six days to ship the Chrysler 200, and the pick-up and the delivery were really quick. The vehicle also arrived in the exact same condition. The only problem was that the people who drove it really didn’t inform me as much before or during the delivery. They wouldn’t get in contact and I had to keep texting them. It was because the driver was unprofessional. But that had nothing to do with Sherpa. I had a really good experience with them.
Hi Melissa. Thank you, and your husband, for your service to our country. We're glad that you experienced our professional and communicative representatives first hand as you relocated your vehicle. We take pride in not only keeping our customers informed on the status of their transport but educating them about how the process works so they can make informed decisions. Drivers often have multiple pickups and deliveries along their routes. These complex logistics often make it difficult at times for a carrier to pinpoint exact times and dates for drop off and pick up. Regardless, we completely understand your frustration and will continue to push our drivers to be as specific as possible about their arrival times - just as we have always done.
Thank you again. We hope that if you or your husband need to transport a car again in the future we have the opportunity to help you again.

Original Review: Sept. 4, 2018
We needed a transport service to transport my daughter's car to her college. Sherpa charged a couple hundred dollars more than the other place I checked but told me they can get the car there in time so that's why I went with them. But our experience with the driver was not the best. He couldn't locate our address to pick up the car and they said that the road that they found were only allowing cars, not trucks in it. I told him that the last time I got picked up, they came with a truck and I just drove the car down to the end of the road. Here, we had to drive about half an hour at night to where the Sherpa driver was with his truck to drop the car off. We also had to use two cars, so we could drive one off in Valhalla and then get a ride back to Colton Manor in the other car.
Then my wife's in Indiana and was there to get my daughter. The driver gave her a timeline that was gonna be three or four hours from where he actually called and said he'll pick the car by 9 o'clock. So my wife made plans to do other things and then around 7 o'clock the driver said he's at the location and my wife was an hour away. He never called her when things changed.
The adult in charge of the sorority house where my daughter lives called my wife and said there is a guy waiting with the car and asking her to pay him. Finally, when my wife got there an hour later, the guy told her she's supposed to pay in cash. My wife told him she had a certified bank check made out to Sherpa Auto and he took it. We thought it was strange that he'd be asking for cash when all the paperwork said a money order or a bank check. But other than that, setting up the appointment was fine. Also, I appreciate that Sherpa said they're sorry about what happened and asked what they can do to make it up to us.

Sherpa gave me a very competitive quote. The final cost was exactly what they quoted, even though in the end, they ate some of the cost. They always answered my questions when I called. Customer service is the best. When it came close to ship date they found the best match for my time frame. As the car came closer they also kept me up to date on estimated arrival date. Car was dirty when it arrived. As expected when your car travels for 5 days. However their clean car policy allowed me to take it to get cleaned, and they reimbursed me the cost. I would recommend Sherpa to my closest friends and plan on using them again in the future.

I loved Sherpa's service. I used them when I transported a car from Arizona to Florida to my daughter. Initially, I looked at five different companies but I liked that the owner started Sherpa because he transported his own car. Plus, their reps communicated a lot with me. Their professionalism was very high and the quote they gave me was well within the range of everybody else. Then the final cost was the same price they gave me in the beginning. Sherpa got the car there a day earlier than they expected and the guys worked hard to get it there early because I was chitchatting with them as they were loading it and I told them that my daughter was without a car. The vehicle also arrived in good condition and my daughter loves it.

In connection with our annual commute, we go back and forth to Florida and recently, we needed to transport a Sedan from Florida to Maryland. We checked about three companies and we liked the door-to-door service that Sherpa provided, so we hired them. The rep we talked to did a very good job. She was on top of things and we kept in touched. But the thing is, they weren’t the outfit that did the actual transportation. They just acted as an outfit that went ahead and got the transportation and I didn’t quite understand that until very late in the game. Other than that, the delivery process was quite good. They picked up the car between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM then they delivered at 11 o’clock PM, but that was okay. Overall, we were pleased with the service.

When I did my research on the ConsumerAffairs site, Sherpa came up as one of the top 10 companies on the page it was on. I did the little test that matched you with somebody and then it came up with that. When Sherpa said their rates, they said there would be no extra fees and I took that. It also seemed reasonable compared to the other top three quotes I had. They were all within $10. The customer service was excellent too. The people there were really good. We're Canadian and my daughter moved to California and had the car there. We thought we could import it but we found out that we couldn't do that. So I had a car stuck in California that needed to get back. The delivery with Sherpa went very well though. The time it took was also about what I thought it should be and what they had committed to.
Hi Susan. Thank you for choosing Sherpa Auto Transport. Like our representatives mentioned on the phones and you experienced first hand - there are no hidden fees or gotcha costs when you work with us. We promise, from the first phone call to the post-delivery check-in, to be transparent and honest. The way we generate our prices is no different.
Should you ever need to relocate your car again in the future we’d be more than glad to assist you!

I was moving cross-country, so I needed a transport service to ship my vehicle. I looked at four transport companies and I went with Sherpa Auto Transport because of their reviews and their responsiveness when I called them. I enjoyed the fact that the reps answered right away. They got back to me when they said they would and kept me fully informed of how everything was going to work. They were really clear upfront that Sherpa was just the broker or the agency and not the company that was gonna do the transport. They were gonna use a company that they had worked with in the past and this company was gonna transport for them. As soon as they secured this company, they called me immediately to let me know that they had made contact with the company and they were ready to schedule the pickup. This process went smoothly.
The quote that was provided by Sherpa was around the same price and within the ballpark of everything else that I was getting. Their quote was reasonable, especially for a covered transport. They put me in touch with the driver and the driver contacted me when he was getting close. I was in an apartment complex so he had to park outside on the main road where there was a parking area, and I brought my car out to them. They had other vehicles and they put mine in all the way up to the front because it was gonna be the last one they would offload. They took care of everything and the transport went really well. The driver was more comfortable speaking in Spanish than in English. Although I would have easily conducted business with him even if I didn't speak Spanish, it went easier since I did, so my communication with him was good. Sherpa transported my vehicle 3,000 miles from LA to Miami and they were great and easy to work with.

I loaned a car temporarily to my daughter who is in Atlanta. It was a MINI Cooper and I had to ship it to her for about 600 miles. I looked into three companies then I decided to go with Sherpa because their price was right and they were responsive. I talked to their reps by telephone and I requested for a quote, scheduling, etcetera. The quote they gave me was fair and in the middle of the pack and was about the same amount I paid in the end.
Also, the reps I talked to were helpful and informative. But once they hired the company that was going to transport the car, I kept getting different timelines from them. They’d say they'd be there on a particular day to pick it up then they weren't. Then it was the next day and they did. After that, the delivery date got changed once or twice. So, it was really hard to plan around being home for the pick-up and anticipating the delivery on the other end. I would have preferred a more definite pick-up and drop-off times. Other than that, the pickup went fine and my daughter said that the delivery went well, too. The transport took a few days overall and my daughter said that the car arrived in the condition it left here.
Hi Linda. We’re glad you had a good experience and that your MINI Cooper was delivered successfully to your daughter. We are committed to providing excellent experiences to our customers and your feedback is an integral part of ensuring that we can evolve and get better. Drivers often have multiple pickups and deliveries along their routes. These complex logistics make it difficult at times to predict precise delivery and pickup times. We also do our best to push our drivers to be as specific as possible regarding timing and appreciate your patience in light of these complexities.
Thank you for trusting Sherpa Auto Transport. We hope your daughter enjoys the car in Atlanta!

We were on an extended vacation. We drove to the location but wanted to fly back, so we needed a transport service to ship our Audi SUV. I looked at around four transport companies then it boiled down to two and we ended up with Sherpa Auto Transport. I liked their responsiveness and the accuracy in what they were telling me the process would be like. The quote they provided was also different by $50 or $100 compared to the other companies that I looked at. Their customer service rep was good in the beginning, but we had a bit of a hiccup in getting the driver. The first driver they booked for us bailed out and there was a little less clarity after that, but they fixed it and got it done.
The experience wasn't flawless, but it was good. The vehicle was transported from Maine to Texas and it took more than a day. The price was good as well and, ultimately, Sherpa's performance was good.

I was shipping the 2004 Mazda I purchased online from Omaha, Nebraska to Oakland, California. Sherpa’s price was competitive originally and then the online ratings I found were as strong as the competitors. I found them through another company and the bid they sent me expired by the time I was gonna pay for it with a card to hire a shipper. So, I contacted them to tell them I wanna hire them because of that bid, but it had expired. They sent me another bid, except they didn’t do it for the other company.
While the car was being transported, some fluid spilled on the car that ruined the paint on every body panel of the car. So, when the car showed up with $6,000 of damage, I couldn’t go to the company that Sherpa used to have their insurance to help arrange some kind of settlement. I went to the other company because they’re an eBay company and I knew that they wanna protect their brand and they would have support if something went wrong. However, since Sherpa went outside that system, I could no longer turn to them to help me handle a situation with thousands of dollars of damage to a car I just bought.
I was disappointed because Sherpa was obviously acting as a broker and they didn’t make that clear about how they had limited responsibility. I contacted them wanting to handle this through insurance. They just passed me off to the firm that they subcontracted and that firm didn’t have any interest in making me happy as a customer or protecting their brand. Their subcontractor falsified documents and fixed us so that we couldn’t make a claim. I have the pictures for all this because it had to go with my insurance. When the truck driver picked up the car, he marked that the car was badly damaged, the paint had a lot of flaws, except we have photographs of the car from the same day it was picked up to document conditions.
The seller who sold the car knew that I hired Sherpa and so, when they peered at this document, they thought it was really odd and they took a photograph of it. The driver didn’t even give them a copy of the document. The seller on eBay took the liberty of taking a photograph of it when they signed it because they knew it was ridiculous to have no documentation. At this point, I had paid for the car. I had the car transported to my auto repair shop in the area because they could be available on business hours. Also, they were tasked with inspecting the car before I drove it to make sure it was safe and in an optimal condition. They never saw the car before. So, when the car was delivered, they saw paperwork that said it was a mess and they noticed that something was spilled all over it. The driver of the truck said that the car looked that way when he got it, which we know was an outright lie.
These are just auto repair guys who were given the paperwork to accept the car. They were told the car looked like that. They signed it and as soon as they did that, we couldn’t make any insurance claims because the driver had arranged for no documentation at the time documenting their damage. They did that using falsified paperwork and they lied to the people. We didn’t even have any paperwork about who dropped off the car. So, here’s a company that I hired, and somebody I didn’t hire drops it off damaged with paperwork. Fortunately, we have the photographs when I got the car, when I finally got to the pick-up place two days later and when it was put on the truck. There was a testimony from the auto guy who said that the stuff wasn’t on that before. They were not exposing the car to corrosive chemicals in their shop.
My insurance company could not prove that they did it because they had tactfully arranged for no documentation of damage, so I’m down with my $1,000 deductible because I had over $6,000 damage with paint. I have a damaged car and I gotta make arrangements to have it fixed. I don’t know how many weeks this is gonna take and when I called Sherpa, they said they would put me in touch with this subcontractor. I called the other company to tell them I took Sherpa because I know that they were gonna care about their brand and that they knew how to handle this. They said that I did this outside of their system and they couldn’t help me. It happened because Sherpa eventually sent me the bid outside the system. The whole reason I picked them was they were in the system and I didn’t wanna get caught with the exact situation that happened.
This was the first time I shipped a car and I have a strong opinion of the ethics of car shippers now. It would make a difference if Sherpa would at least give me $1,000 for my deductible and will let my insurance handle the rest of it. If they’re not willing to do that, the absolute minimum is 100% refund of every dollar I gave them to damage my car over $6,000. We have all the documentation, including photographs, five times stamped when they were taken. Their customer service was very helpful in helping me understand how their system worked as far as payment and arrangement but I am very disappointed that I hired Sherpa. I make sure to warn other people that their business practices were borderline unethical and not to use them.
We sincerely regret that this customer did not have a positive transport experience and Sherpa worked diligently to address his issues. The review below has numerous inaccuracies that the customer acknowledged. Unfortunately, he has declined to correct them. As can be seen in the myriad of positive responses that is typical of our transports, this situation was not only unfortunate but highly unusual.
We think it is important that we learn and improve from every interaction that is less than perfect. This particular driver did not live up to our exacting standards and has been flagged so that they cannot be used for any of our customers’ transports in the future. We had never had any previous issues with them, but will not use them again. It is also important for all of our customers to understand how important an accurate and complete Bill of Lading is. In the unlikely event of any damages to your vehicle in transit, you should document the situation comprehensively on the Bill of Lading upon delivery. The Bill of Lading is the document that the insurance companies rely on to assess the situation and process claims. We provide this guidance verbally to every customer and also via email. In light of this situation, we have even incorporated an additional email to each customer to reiterate the specific preparations that should be made in advance and upon delivery. While adhering to this advice wouldn’t have prevented the issue, this customer’s process and the outcome would likely have been different if he had done so.
Sherpa Auto Transport goes above and beyond to take care of each and every one of our customers, treating each vehicle transported as if it were our own. We encourage you to read all our reviews as the vast majority of our customers have outstanding experiences and many ship with us again.

The quote they gave us was also very fair. For one of the cars, the transporter broke down, so it was really late getting here. But Sherpa's reps communicated every day and kept in touch with us. Also, their driver couldn’t have been nicer. But the driver of the other car was late and rude. When he got here, he wasn’t great to work with. But overall, it was a good experience.

I was moving from Wisconsin to California and I needed to transport a vehicle. I liked the reviews I read on Sherpa's website and based on what I looked at, they had the highest reviews compared to other companies. The processes of getting the quote, their set up, and getting the car were really easy. Also, the quotes from other places were comparable to what Sherpa gave me. Plus, their reps were quick to reach out when I inquired about the price, answered any questions I had right away, and didn’t have to hang up or wait a minute and try to get information. The driver delivered the vehicle in about six days which was really quick and the car came back fine. It was my first time dealing with these kinds of things and it worked out well. If I have to move across the country, I won't have hesitations doing it again.

I looked at three different transport companies as I had to transport my husband's BMW from Delaware to California. The customer service that I received from Sherpa was very good, reassuring and thorough so I went with them. Also, the quote that I was given was good since I thought it would be a lot more expensive than it was all together. Although it was slightly a few hundred more than the other places who quoted me, Sherpa seemed like a more professional operation than the others that I've spoken to. And because I wanted better quality of service, I was okay with that.
When I made the reservation, my absolute main stipulation was for the car not to arrive before I do. I was very clear about it and I repeated it many times. Yet, when the driver came to pick up the car, he said he would see me in five days which was before I was gonna arrive in Delaware. The driver never seemed to have gotten the message which was a little frustrating. I was not satisfied with the communication between the service center and the driver.
So, the driver ended up hanging on to the car for so many days that we had to get a rental car, spending an extra couple of hundred. It didn't work out absolutely perfectly, but it did work out. They transported the vehicle in an open trailer and we got the BMW in good condition. My car was also transported but at a different set of time and not on the same trailer. Sherpa messed up a bit with the scheduling on both vehicles but we got the cars in both cases.

I got a new job across the country and I needed to transport my car. Sherpa's rate was a little bit lower than the other competitors and I liked that the price was included upfront with everything. There were no hidden fees. Also, I looked at their reviews and they were really positive. When I was getting set up, their reps provided me with all the information I needed and they were really friendly. The quote that they gave me was good, too. I liked it.
I had a good communication with the driver. I didn't have a good address when I first shipped, but they made it very clear that I can contact them at any time to obtain my address. I talked to the driver when he was close, and everything went smoothly. And when my car got to me, it was in the same condition as when they took it. Sherpa is a great service. They're very reliable and they'll answer all your questions.

The initial quote that I was given was very competitive and the final cost that I was charged for the service stayed the same. The driver was professional. I was given his cell phone number and we communicated. My vehicle was transported in the open method. Its delivery took three weeks from beginning to end and that time frame met my expectations.

I wanted to transport a Mercedes down to a family member so I looked on the internet and checked out three transport companies. There was a website that popped up with Sherpa's name as a recommended company. I tried to see if there's anything written about Sherpa and looked at the Better Business results and I didn’t see anything bad about them.
I had good interactions with Sherpa's customer service reps. They called exactly when they said they would. Their driver picked up the car at exactly the time and date Sherpa said they would which was important to me because I live in Atlanta and I was shipping the car from Colorado Springs. I flew to Colorado to get the car shipped off specifically for that. Sherpa did exactly as I asked them to do and the car got delivered fine. The original quote given to me was fair and 100% accurate. The transport vehicle was an open carrier, so the Mercedes was expected to have a few bugs on the windshield. Overall, Sherpa was great and I was very satisfied with them.

I was moving across the country for a new job and I was shipping a Hyundai Sonata, so I needed a transport service. The shipment must have been around 1,000 or 1,500 miles. The customer service reps at Sherpa Auto Transport were great and always responsive. They responded through phone and email quickly and gave me accurate information. The quote they provided was an appropriate amount and it was less than what I thought it was gonna be. It was equivalent or equal to how much other companies said they were gonna ship the vehicle for as well. Sherpa had to take $25 or $50 out of their broker’s fee, but the quote didn’t change.
My wife picked up the vehicle. I gave them a window of about a week for picking it up. When they did, they told me it was gonna be there three days later and it was there in two. The condition of the vehicle once I got it was fine. It was a little dirty, but they paid for a car wash. I was very happy and pleased with them. Sherpa is a great company and I would recommend them to whoever.

When I was relocating for work, the reviews about Sherpa Auto Transport on one of the consumer report sites made me go with them. Their customer service reps were very helpful and answered all of my questions about insurance. They also told me when I would need to schedule the driver including what would be paid upfront and afterwards. Any time I needed to contact the driver, they got me in contact right away. However, the driver did not speak very good English so I couldn't understand a lot of what he said.
In general, they got the car on the day they said they would and they dropped it off on the day when they said they would as well. The car's condition was fine and it was just as I left it. Sherpa's rate was very similar to other companies that have quoted me and I had a very positive experience. I also had a good experience with another company that I used last time I moved and they're all very similar in the way that they contract with drivers. Still, Sherpa was very good about calling me and they had a really good customer service. I would recommend them.

I was in a hurry, and I had to go with what I had. But still, I was satisfied with the overall cost and quality of service. Also, everyone was polite. The driver was great and the car came on the day that they said it would, so I was happy with everything. The car is in a great condition except for all the bugs that they picked up along the way. I'd recommend Sherpa. Their service was outstanding and communication was very good.

Sherpa had good ratings and their reps were wonderful. I had a lot of bumps in the road but they worked with me so it was great. I had to delay a few times then I had an issue with the city busting up the sidewalk in front of my driveway. They were very flexible and they found a very good driver for me. He texted me almost everyday along the route to tell me when he was gonna be there. But he couldn’t bring his big truck into my neighborhood because there are a lot of oak trees and the branches reach over the street. The truck would not have fit. But we found a spot and I met him there. He was awesome. He picked my car up on a Monday night and I got it on a Saturday. It took about five days which was awesome. It was a long way from San Francisco to the New Orleans area. I also expected my car to be really dirty, which was what Sherpa said. A lot of people see their cars as sometimes dirty because they hit rain but my car was fine.
D, it was our pleasure in helping you ship your car to New Orleans. We frequently update our carrier database to ensure we use the best drivers. It’s wonderful to hear that the driver you worked with was great at keeping in touch as your car was being transported.
As we mentioned many times throughout the transport process the safety of your vehicle is our highest priority. While we happily provide door to door service, occasionally relocating the pickup to a larger area near your home is necessary so that your vehicle can be loaded safely onto the transportation truck. Thank you for the wonderful review. We hope to work with you again in the future!

I bought a Corvette car in Ohio and I had it shipped to California where I live. That was about 2,400 miles. Sherpa was the one that got to me first. The rep who I spoke to was fine. She said if I work with them, she would get me a driver pretty quick and she did. Also, the quotes given to me were okay. I asked for a cheaper rate and I ended up paying a little less. However, they didn’t get the car there when they said they would so I ended up losing some time off from work. The car should’ve been in Fresno and they got it to Sacramento and they were gonna have somebody else bring it to Fresno. That person was supposed to be there on Friday and they said they couldn’t get it there until Monday. So I ended up going there and getting it because I don’t want to miss any more days at work.
Also, I called the driver several times but he never answered the phone and the calls always went to messages. I was just trying to figure out when he was gonna be at Fresno, but I never talked to him. Then when he got to Sacramento, he told me he didn’t have a driver, but it turned out he was the only driver there and he was the one supposed to bring it to Fresno. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
Anthony, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Sherpa Auto Transport is committed to providing excellent service with our customers. The feedback you provided shined a helpful spotlight on how we can improve and ensure customer satisfaction.
Any carrier we work with must pass a stringent set of standards. Drivers often have multiple pickups and deliveries along their routes. These complex logistics make it difficult to predict precise delivery and pickup times. That being said, communication is one of the primary tenets of our outstanding customer service. We’re sorry that this carrier did not live up to our exacting standards. After hearing about your experience we have removed this driver from our preferred network so that other customers do not have similar issues.

I moved and needed to have my Dodge Dakota transported for roughly 200 miles. I had about 10 companies that I looked at and given my experiences in the past with unsatisfactory service, I did some research on what was the best route. I wound up going to the consumer website I trusted and knowing that any company that has to be aligned with this process should have a good reputation and provide good service, I took a leap of faith with Sherpa Auto Transport and I was not disappointed. When I got a hold of them, I didn’t feel like I had someone who was trying to scam me, as often happens when anybody gets on the phone with one of these companies.
The rep walked me through the process and asked me what were my concerns, like if I had to rush. He then asked me to look over the estimate, told me the procedure for charging a car, the reason for asking for a car. Everything seemed very reputable and when they said they were gonna do something, everything went as they said. And so, I really appreciated that and I felt very comfortable moving forward with them. Also, the quote Sherpa provided was in line with what I had gathered. Often times, upon delivery, transport companies demand customers to pay more than what was quoted or they’ll damage the vehicle. But Sherpa was straightforward. Their price wasn't the cheapest but it’s money well spent. They were on point every step of the way.
Then, with the truck being in another state, I had to make arrangements with some folks where the truck was. I got contacted by the driver Sherpa got when he was about to pick up the truck and made sure I had his number. If I had any questions, I could contact him along the way. He wanted to let me know that he picked it up and he was headed on his way and he’d be there as quickly as possible. There were things that he needed to do so he gave me a window estimate for the delivery and I even received an update from him as well. He also called to double-check my address and ask very, very good questions. He asked if there was anything he should be concerned about the house, or if it was a business, and wanted to make sure that when he delivers the vehicle it was in an appropriate spot where I needed it to be. Also, because of the big rig, he was making sure there was no issue for him getting his truck in or out.
On the date of delivery, which was around 3 days after I began the process, he called me up to let me know about how long it would be that day. He also called when he was about five minutes away then he drove right up to my house. I met him outside and he stepped out, asked the person by name, shook my hand and then he introduced himself. He unloaded the truck and asked me to look it over, which I did and it was just how I left it, so I then made the payment. Every step of the way, the driver was very professional. He was a great guy and exceeded my expectations.
Sherpa earned every penny that I paid and I’d gladly do it again. I will also be telling all my friends to go this route. They treated me like they respected me. Everything was great; from the quality of the people who helped me, to taking delivery of the vehicle as well as the amount of time it took from the estimate to the delivery of the truck.

It seemed to be the better one among the three other transport companies I searched. Also, the customer service at Sherpa was super friendly. They explained the entire process as far as what my initial payment was covering and how long it would take for a truck driver or a dispatcher to be contacting me to establish the delivery date. It was all done online and the process went really well.
Additionally, the quote they gave me was fair considering what the other companies were quoting. I talked to some of my other friends who did some other longer move and they said that I got a good price. I paid exactly what Sherpa quoted initially. The delivery went well but I was still in Seattle when the vehicle got delivered. My father-in-law and mother-in-law were able to get the car although there was a situation that caused a two-day delay. The SUV looked perfectly okay although the tires were a little under-inflated. I quickly went into the gas station, filled it up, and have had no issues since then.

My daughter was moving back home from California and I didn’t want her to drive home. We were shipping a Honda Accord from California to Illinois and we looked at around three different transport companies. One was an indoor carrier only, so that ruled that one out. When I talked to a lady at Sherpa, she assured me that they use really good transporters and everything should go smoothly. However, I had a very horrible experience with them. My daughter was coming home on a Tuesday and I told Sherpa that I wanted the car to be picked up on Friday because I wanted to make sure that it was here and that she didn’t have any problems. She was leaving on Tuesday at 3:00 AM, so everything had to be done on Monday.
The plan was to pick it up on Friday, but my daughter didn’t hear at all from them. She called them on Friday, but the guy said that he was not picking it up because he doesn't drive on the weekend or his weekend will be taken off. He said that he will be there Monday. I then called Sherpa and I told them that I didn't understand because they said they were gonna pick it up on Friday. The rep told me that the drivers don’t drive on the weekend, but they'll pick it up Monday morning for sure.
We waited and my daughter called the driver Sunday to find out what time he was gonna be coming on Monday and he said he didn’t know yet. On Monday, when she called, because she didn’t hear from them, he said that he was in Reno, Nevada and he had to go from Reno to Sacramento, from Sacramento to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles down to Santa Rosa, and that he probably wouldn’t be able to make it on Monday because when he was going to one stop in Sacramento, they had a car that didn’t work. They had to wait for a lift to take off and he didn’t know if that lift person would be there in time.
My daughter was frantic and she called me crying. She had to leave at 3 o’clock in the morning and she was asking what she was gonna do. I called the Sherpa people again and they apologized for the time and they said that they will put pressure on the driver to get there. It was determined that he was gonna come between either 6:00 or 7:00 or 7:00 and 8:00. However, he didn’t show up until 11:30 at night. It was a good thing that my daughter had someone that could go with her because she had to drive the car quite a distance to meet the driver to pick it up, and then she had to take the Uber home.
I found out that the company that they used to transport it, when I read that person’s section, had all negative reviews. If I would have known that they were gonna go through that company, then I for sure wouldn’t have used that because it wouldn’t make any sense to do that. I couldn’t recommend them and I would never go through that again. It was a mess. In fact, I have decided that I would just go with somebody who owns their trailers. I would also tell others not to use Sherpa.

I bought a classic 1950 Chevrolet Convertible from a gentleman in Pennsylvania. I couldn’t drive the car all the way across the country I was apprehensive about using a transport service for the first time. ConsumerAffairs had good reviews on Sherpa. I called the number that I found on the website and spoke to their rep. I had other quotes that were quite a little bit lower than Sherpa, and the rep explained to me that they are a broker and that they have to sell the load to a trucking company. So if I go way low, they will have trouble selling that load to a carrier and I’ll never get my car delivered. She knew what she was talking about. She also projected confidence and didn’t pull any punches. She then got the information out right away. It was on a weekend and by that Sunday, I had an email that the load had been sold to a transporter.
The transport called my wife 24 hours before and they also told her that they could deliver it a couple of days early. Then the driver was there when he said he was gonna be and he even pulled the car into my garage for my wife. He was very nice and totally professional. And the equipment they were driving looked really nice too. The transport took four days and it exceeded my expectations. They did a really good job. Also, the quote that was given to me was spot on. I went with an enclosed transport which was a little bit more expensive and the total cost is a lot of money for someone who works for a living all day long, but the car got to the house in perfect shape. I’ve saved their number and I’ll be using them again if another occasion arises.

I was moving and I looked around for transport companies. I did for about 10 minutes before I decided to go to Consumer Reports because it was insanity. And when I went to Consumer Reports, it was a slam dunk. Sherpa had a very high rating and their customer service was excellent. It proved out to be that both parties had to call and respond to each other so setting things up was definitely a joint effort. I also loved their quoting process. It was industry comparative and they were clear that it wasn’t going to climb. They also did everything they could to encourage a driver to take the deal and I felt comfortable that there wasn’t gonna be any negotiation because that wouldn’t have been comfortable for me.
There was some miscommunication about whether I was at the top of a list and maybe the employees didn't really chat with each other about certain customers such that they would all say the same thing. Communicating is a big deal and that will always be the case but it's also something that people get better at over time. Also, I didn't know if I was supposed to tip the driver. I had gone online to see if you're supposed to but it wasn’t clear. The website said not to because it's not required. But it was confusing. Sherpa told me they were including the gratuity but I didn’t know if the driver was getting a fair shake and if the $900 was his to keep. I wanted to know so that I can be fair to that person ‘cause what they're doing is hard work. The move was about 10+ hours and the driver was responsive. I'd use him again for sure.

My wife had a new job in San Antonio so we were moving from DC and it took about a week to transport our car with Sherpa. The other companies I had contacted needed a bit more of time but I was in a hurry. Sherpa was the only option that could get me the car and in the time that I wanted. Their quote was on the higher side though. Their competitors were giving a low quote, as much as $250 less. Nonetheless, I was able to reach out to Sherpa when I needed to and their representatives helped me out. They also gave me a heads up for the pickup. The driver couldn’t move his truck inside my apartment complex but I was able to meet him right outside. It was okay. The guys were friendly too. They were able to explain everything to me regarding the state of the car and they were good.
Thanks for a great review! We are able to get our customers’ cars delivered in accordance with their preferred timelines because we use real-time data to determine our pricing. That means that the quote we provide you is based on the pricing of similar recent shipments in your area. By using this process to determine cost we not only ensure that your car will get moved, but that the quote we provide is the actual amount you will pay for the transport. There are no hidden fees, no gotcha costs. Just data-driven quotes that we know will work.
While we happily provide door to door service, occasionally relocating the pickup to a larger area near your home is necessary so that your vehicle can be loaded safely onto the transportation truck.
Thanks for trusting Sherpa Auto Transport to relocate your vehicle. We hope we have the chance to work together again in the future!

If you want to entrust your vehicle in good hands, let Sherpa take care of it for you. I shipped a Subaru Impreza from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Twentynine Palms, California and on the ninth day, it arrived just like it was when I gave it to them. Most transport companies are brokers, including Sherpa, where they farm out the work and the ratings that I found said Sherpa was the best. They also gave me one of the best quotes out of the several I had gotten. I dealt with one lady almost all the time and it was very good working with her. And although the driver ended up charging more, Sherpa didn’t charge me anymore so they evidently gave up some of their percentage to pay that.
Hi David. It’s wonderful to hear you had such a positive experience shipping your car with Sherpa Auto Transport. We treat each car entrusted to our care as if it were our own. With this mentality at the forefront of our minds, we strive to make sure that every customer we have the privilege of working with feels comfortable, well-informed and happy throughout the auto transport process. In your case, because it cost a bit more than we initially quoted to incent a driver to take your transport, we subsidized your move by paying that incremental amount directly, rather than asking you to pay more. Thanks for the great review! We look forward to working together again in the future.

I was moving to a different state and I needed to ship a ’96 Toyota Altis 2000 miles. Sherpa’s quote was appropriate for the distance traveled and that was how much I was expecting to spend on shipping my car. Plus, they were able to get my vehicle picked up much quicker than another company. It was up to the carrier to get the car and I just had to meet him at a public place where he could pick up the vehicle. Sherpa contacted me when the car would actually get delivered and on the day itself, I called the driver and we were able to set up the time. It went smoothly and when the car arrived, it wasn’t as dirty as I thought it was going to be. It was in the same condition as when it was picked up. The customer service rep was awesome, very honest and thought about the pricing and expectations. And so, I was very satisfied. Overall, it was a great experience so, if I have an event where I would need my car shipped, I would go with Sherpa.

I noticed that the initial pick-up of the vehicle changed four times but the location was the same and it didn’t really give us any problems. Overall, everything was great.

I was moving from Louisiana to Maryland and I didn't feel like driving my Jeep Wrangler. I looked up transport companies on the internet and I tried to find the one that had the best rating. And although Sherpa was the most expensive, I decided to go with them because of their rep that was more knowledgeable than anybody else. I wanted it there on the 13th and everybody else told me I had to have it picked up by the 6th but she said I could have it picked up on the 11th and it will get there on the 13th. And that was what I wanted but I didn't think it was possible. She just seemed like she knew what she was talking about and so, I believed her and she was right. Also, their initial quote was accurate.
The driver didn't speak very good English. He had parked down the street but it was my first time living here and I didn't know exactly where it was. It caused back and forth and it took a lot longer than it would have if he could have just spoken in English. But he wasn't very far and I just didn't know that. Other than that, the Jeep was fine when it arrived. It was dirty but that was to be expected.

Sherpa answered my questions and were helpful when I called. And it all happened really fast. I had bought a 1992 Volvo Sedan that was in Connecticut and the driver came and picked up the car without even telling the seller he was coming. Fortunately, I had told him. Then the driver said he was gonna drive all night. He delivered the car to me in Virginia the next day on the 4th of July, which is a holiday. He was a little flaky in that they seemed to have a bill of lading but I trusted him and all seemed to work out fine. I paid 700 bucks which was exactly the same as the quote. Sherpa wasn't terribly reasonable, price-wise, but I was suspicious of the people who were charging so much less. The first time I looked into transporting a car, I had quotes as low as $300 but those were all Florida people and I wasn't willing to trust them.
Thank you for your understanding when your car was delivered on the July 4th holiday. We appreciate how this was not optimal, but are grateful for your flexibility and regret any inconvenience the timing may have caused you. Drivers often have multiple pickups and deliveries along their routes. These complex logistics make it difficult to predict precise delivery and pickup times.
It’s great you recognized that extremely low quotes aren’t always the most trustworthy. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we use real-time data to determine our pricing. Our goal isn’t to “sell” (or even worse “upsell” you), it’s to ship your car to your desired location using a high-quality driver at a price we know we will get the job done. We do this by providing our customers with a realistic quote from the get-go to match you with a trusted driver that can perform the transport for the price we quoted.

I needed the vehicle that I had purchased out of state in Florida transported closer to my home state of Georgia. I went to multiple companies to get quotes for their transport service. I liked Sherpa Auto Transport's price, customer service, and the writing that I found online, so I went with them. When I submitted a quote request to Sherpa online, a rep called me in less than 24 hours to obtain additional information and to explain their process for selecting the transporter, the cost, and the options available to me relative to the delivery point.
I received a confirmation that they had found the driver that met their criteria and they informed me on when my vehicle would be picked up and the estimated time of delivery. My vehicle was delivered the day after it was picked up. In my dealings with Sherpa and the transport company, both were acceptable. But the driver did not go to either my home or office and we met at a specified location. My Infiniti was in good condition when it arrived. And I got an email talking about after they make a delivery, I can go to the car wash, send the receipt, and get reimbursement from the car wash. It's good but it's not that convenient because I have to get the receipts and then mail that back to them and then process the reimbursement.

I was doing an internship and in the summer I needed to get back to my school, so I needed to have my vehicle shipped. I considered seven transport companies and the cost of Sherpa's service made me go with them. They shipped my car 1,800 miles and the experience was good. I sent my request for shipping and their reps called me back in an hour. In the very first call we had, I explained my situation and the server said that since I was making an emergency request, they had to charge me 120 bucks for a service fee. But I understood and that was fine because initially they provided the cheapest price among the transport companies I had talked to. The reps said that they were gonna arrange the whole transport and find a driver for me, and they'd call me as soon as possible. The transport was a little rushed since I only gave Sherpa 48 hours to do the transport and the reps said they would try their best. They made it so it was perfect.
The location put in was accurate, but the driver used a huge truck so he couldn't park and take the vehicle off my apartment. So, he found a plaza near to my place and we met there. I was so surprised that the driver only used 72 hours or three days to ship my vehicle. Then, upon its arrival, everything was fine with its condition.

They were good and the way they answered my questions made me feel comfortable. The rep's knowledge and expertise on the service they offered were very good and these were enough for me to wanna pay $1300 for the service. Sherpa was $200 more expensive than other transport companies, but they told me how the process works when they bid, so I understood a lot of things that made me be okay with their price.
The driver who picked up my car and the one who delivered it were nice. I got multiple calls from them and their time estimation for arrival was accurate. I was assuming that the driver would drop my car off in front of my house, but I learned that was not so when I asked why the day of the pickup was a day before, making sure I would be in a certain spot at the time. I didn’t know beforehand what to expect and that on the tail-end I would have to go to a supermarket or an open sale, but once again they explained the reason to me and now I understand what was going on. But they could have communicated that to me in the beginning so I would have known more on what to expect. The driver picked my car up on Wednesday afternoon and I got it on Monday by lunchtime. I thought the transport was gonna take at least a week, or at least till the next weekend, and I didn’t know that I'd have a car by the time I started work on Monday.

Hi Jenny. Thank you for the great feedback. Here at Sherpa we work diligently to find you the highest quality carrier that will be able to deliver on the specific needs of your transport. For each carrier, we first validate that they carry insurance that exceeds the Department of Transportation requirements. We also review safety violation reports and third party service reviews. We would never match you with a carrier that didn’t meet our high standards. We regret that this driver was a poor communicator and added unnecessary stress to your transport. As part of our effort to constantly improve the quality of our network of preferred drivers, we have noted your feedback on this carrier’s file and we will not use him again.

This time, when I had it shipped from Illinois to California, it took longer for my car to be picked up and delivered. They had trouble finding someone to take my car. The pick-up date and delivery date were two or three days later than what was supposed to be. I waited two weeks. But I understand that and a lot of people were moving. Sherpa, I guess, was really busy in the summer. It was not their fault. It was the season. And everything went fine.
Their customer service was good and I don’t think Sherpa got anything. I paid the full of $1,300. $300 was supposed to go to Sherpa and a thousand to the shipper. The driver from Santa Maria, California lives in the same town I do and that was fine too. I live in a gated area, and he came in my car, and then I took him back to his truck at 10 o’clock at night. I received the car extremely dirty, which I would expect and I didn’t think it was gonna be washed. It wasn’t the first time but it was in good condition and I was happy to get my car shipped.
Hi Cherie. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! You’re exactly right, the summer months do heat up, both in terms of temperature and volume of auto transports. During peak times often the demand for transports far outweighs the supply of drivers. To account for this scenario we try to accurately price your move to attract drivers to your transport over others. If the price isn’t correct, we here at Sherpa will dig into our own pockets to incentivize these drivers before ever reaching back out to you for more money. We regret that your transport was delayed but we are glad we were able to execute without having to ask you to pay more. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your experience with us and we highly recommend you take advantage of our Clear Car Guarantee. We started this program so that customers like you can enjoy their cars at the final destination in the same state as it was at pickup. If you need another transport in the future, we hope to hear from you!

Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for the great feedback and we’re honored you chose Sherpa to transport your car. Our goal is to make the auto transport process as seamless and stress-free as possible through consistent, transparent and professional communication. We regret that the transport arrived a day late. Our preferred carriers sometimes have to alter plans based on logistical complications related to multiple pickups and deliveries on their routes or inclement weather. While we request door to door service for all of our customers, in some cases pickup or delivery destinations have to be altered, typically due to safety and/or maneuverability concerns. While we do our best to account for these situations ahead of time, we cannot control every situation.

They also included everything in their price. They didn’t list a low price and say, “But by the way, then it’s gonna be this and that and the other thing.” The prices were all competitive and Sherpa’s may seem more at the beginning, but it was not. It was all-inclusive and I appreciated that.
The customer service was wonderful. I first looked online and I got a call back that I wasn’t there for. So I called them back and he told me all the details. You know, my big transport in there.” And I said, “Let me know what you need to do.” And he drove my car to me. He was just parked a couple of blocks away, and he walked away. I gave him the cashier’s check. It was a done deal and there was no damage to the car. It was the easiest part of this move. It was a wonderful experience. There was enough contact from Sherpa or the driver but given the nature of the transaction, it wasn't always smooth. When they picked the car up from my son, he thought it was gonna happen late afternoon or early evening. It turned out to happen in the middle of the afternoon. I had a 30-year old Isuzu Trooper shipped from here in New York to Connecticut for a special repair and then shipped back from Connecticut to back here. I was searching for transport companies online. I have used one company in the past that I was not really happy with so I decided to try Sherpa. They have a good rating. Sometimes you can't get a hold of transport companies but the Sherpa customer service reps were always there to answer and they always called me back very quickly and updated me. The car was also delivered when I expected and very quickly without any problems. I was real happy with the whole process with Sherpa. Everything went really smooth. The cost was also reasonable.
Hi Robert. We know the frustration that comes with not being able to reach your auto transport broker as our owner experienced this himself when he had his car shipped. He started Sherpa Auto Transport to improve the auto transport experience and disrupt standards by providing excellent customer service and fair pricing.
Thank you for trusting us with your Isuzu. Should you need to ship it again in the future we look forward to working together!

I was heading back to California from Newport and instead of having to drive the long and difficult route, I decided to ship my vehicle. I talked to Sherpa on the phone and they had the best rate package compared to most of the other companies. They had good reviews too. We had agreed on a pickup window between June 7th and 10th, and I thought I'd receive a call from the driver on the day. But when the window came near, I didn't receive any contact from Sherpa on a status. I hadn't heard from the driver either. So I called and asked Sherpa what was going on. They explained the process and basically, they put the contract up on the market and drivers bid on it. But there was no driver assigned yet and I got the impression that they didn’t work on it right away.
The car was actually picked up a few days after our window and that upset me a little bit because I wasn’t sure if I was gonna make time. I was flying out of the country for a few days so I wanted to make sure the car arrived before I was gonna leave the country. But Sherpa did a good job afterwards and it all worked out. After I expressed my concerns, they stayed in contact with me through the phone and made sure to give me updates on the driver.
When they got a driver, they relayed the potential times of the drop off window here in California. They expressed that it might be past the day that I leave so we coordinated. A friend of mine here could received it in my stead and they said they would work with my friend and make sure the vehicle got delivered. But we didn’t have to deal with any of that because I actually arrived well ahead of my car.
I picked out the address to meet the driver and it was a wide open road. I knew it's hard to make turns with those trucks. The driver got off the highway to get into that area but it was tight and the truck was heavy so he couldn’t go down certain roads. So he stopped and pulled over a side of the road in another area. He was about five blocks down on a different road and he called me. I drove down there to meet up with him and it wasn’t bad. The vehicle was in good condition and the driver went through the walkthrough after he delivered.
Hi Daniel. We’re glad that everything worked out in the end with your shipment and we regret that there was a delay in your pickup. We work diligently to find you a high quality driver that meets our strict standards but sometimes this is a difficult task depending on the current supply of drivers in the area and desirability of the route. While we’re confident we would not have been able to do anything differently to expedite your pickup, we do think we could have been more communicative in the days leading up to make you aware of the situation. We have already implemented changes to our work process to account for this great feedback.
Thank you for choosing Sherpa Auto Transport. We really appreciate your business and should you need another shipment in the future, we look forward to helping you out!

Hey John, we’re always happy to go above and beyond to make sure our customers are satisfied with their experience. That’s why we’re committed to making sure your car gets delivered for the price we quoted, even if we have to dig into our own pockets to make that happen. I bought a family heirloom truck for my dad and I was having it transported to where I live. Surprisingly, not many people were willing to go from Missouri to Texas. Most companies run east and west and not north and south. But Sherpa does and everybody I dealt with was very pleasant. There were some other companies that were a little bit lower priced than Sherpa and the lady I talked to didn't think anybody would pick it up for $1200. But the guy picked it right up so it made me wonder if we should've bid lower. But although Sherpa was a little bit more expensive, at least they showed up when they said they were gonna show up. Other companies gave me a price for $900 but then didn't show up to pick up the truck.
Sherpa could have given me a little more information on who to write the check to though. I wasn't told that the rest of the money would actually go to the guy who decided to transport, and that he may only accept check for money orders. Thankfully, I called him. Otherwise, I would not have had time to get a money order for that amount of money, and he was very picky about what he took.
I know that was partially on the drivers too. But when I originally called Sherpa, I didn't know part of my money went to them and part of my money went to the driver. With the way the representative explained it, I thought they would just take my credit card and when the transport guy gets here, they would take the rest of the money out. So Sherpa could have done better about the payment stuff. Nonetheless, the company that picked the truck up was excellent. Most people do not know how to drive that truck but the transport guy did. It starts by pushing a button and hitting a pedal on the floor. And he was able to put the truck in my garage. Everything was transported well and I would recommend Sherpa.
Hi Sheri. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to transport your dad’s truck! Our team accesses a nationwide roster of experienced carriers to fulfill our customer’s specific needs, regardless of your pickup and delivery destinations. We are glad we were able to successfully accommodate your specific move.
We’re sorry that our communication regarding payment methods was not clear. We are thankful for this feedback and as a result, have implemented some changes to our verbal and email communication. The vast majority of our jobs require an initial payment by credit card with the remaining balance due to the driver at the time of delivery in cash or certified check made payable directly to the carrier (note: personal checks and money orders are not accepted by the carriers).
We’re glad you enjoyed the transport experience that your carrier provided and have marked him as a preferred partner so that other customers can realize the same high quality service. Again, thank you for the helpful feedback and should you need another transport in the future, we know we will exceed your expectations!

Everything went well and my son-in-law picked up my car on the other end. I recommend Sherpa.

My Honda Odyssey minivan was shipped 2,700 miles. I looked into 3 companies and there were a couple that were lower in cost than Sherpa but my concern about moving my vehicle that far was if something happened. What I read on a lot of companies, was when they had problems with their vehicle and they called the brokerage company, the company pretty much said, "We got it from point A to point B." So it was so bad. But with Sherpa, I had a lot of people say that even when they were having problems Sherpa at least worked with them through it.
The customer service has been lost in this nation of ours over the years but Sherpa stayed with it. Every time I called or emailed, I get a response within a day. They have a very friendly staff. The only thing that was not good is their ability to manage my case. When I was asking for the driver so I can get a hold of him up to about a week I still had not gotten any confirmation about it which I had to constantly call them. They were very friendly about it but they were saying, "It's high peak and we normally don't get the driver sent until a week out."
When I first scheduled it that was months out and as we got closer somehow I became a lower priority. They had made a mistake of waiting a little bit too long and it became a little more expensive for the drivers. I didn't want to pay the brokerage fee because they would have taken that to pay for the driver. So in innocence, I wanted to pay them the same amount that I would have, had everything been on time. They made a confusion on the dates but they made up for it. After everything went through the transport took eight days. The pickup and the drop off went fine. So my only complaint was they missed the timeline of picking my car up and dropping it off. And they have to fix that problem before I use them again. But overall, I'm happy with the experience and I would recommend them.

But they sent another driver and I was pretty happy with it. They have good customer service. The delivery went smooth. They promised a certain date and then it got there at that date. There were no complications or requests for additional funds beyond the email quote. The driver called the day before the pickup day I requested to arrange a time. The driver was there at the appointed time and loaded the car - no problems. My daughter got the car five days later with no damage. We were moving and both my wife and I had our cars transported. Sherpa's quotes were reasonable. It was within the ballpark of others. I got a few lower quotes but I didn't want to take a chance. You get what you pay for from cost of the things so I assumed that their quality required a little bit higher fee. The response I received via email, the quotes, the people who spoke with me were all very professional and straightforward. They answer all the questions right away. The email that came along with the link to the quote were easy to download. They had a specific number with which I was able to again go back and forth and they answered all the questions. Regarding the date, I think that was the most important because we wanted to ship both cars at different days and received in different locations and everytime I spoke, they handled it really nicely.
The drivers had my phone number so they called me and I was able to text them which was also pretty nice. They let me know that they were on their way and the vehicles were perfectly fine. They had lot of dust and got bugs on the windshield but that happens across country. But after we washed everything, it went well. They told me initially there is a $50 discount and they did a $100 discount for two cars. They made it as a rebate and I have not received the rebate from them yet. If that discount was given upfront, that would be nice rather than a mailed-in rebate which is so 1970s now.
The experience you recount in your review is what we strive to provide for every customer. We have worked hard to make every aspect of the transport process - the conversations with our representatives on the phone, the online portal used to secure your transport and communication with the carrier - as easy as possible.
Our rebate offer, which enables customers to receive a $50 prepaid Visa card, is just one of the ways we improve the auto transport experience. We use that to validate and improve the quality of our carriers’ bills of lading paperwork. Thank you for providing feedback on the program. We are always looking for ways to improve.
We hope that we can work together in the future should you need to move another vehicle!

My parents were here for the delivery because I was still in Texas at the time and they said it went well. The driver was super professional. They had all the information that they needed. They really kept in contact really well. I had his direct phone number which was nice. They did end up meeting like a block from my parent’s house, just because it was more convenient. Nevertheless, he was nice, and he got the car down to South Carolina intact with no damage to it. He picked it up when he said he was going to, and he dropped it off when he said he was going to. The original quote was accurate to the final price, too. The two people I spoke with were very helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this company.

I had a relocation for an employer and I needed transport. I went with Sherpa for the pricing and the warranty. Overall, they were very responsive. However, part of the payment was supposed to be gifted as a Visa card for using them. I've sent numerous emails to the corporation and we asked the representative in regards to it but then I had no response. That was a selling point for them and it didn't happen. Still, the vehicle and timing was excellent. The driver called and kept me abreast of what was going on. The customer service went through with me very clearly, step by step what they were gonna do, how the process was and they updated me when they got the driver. I changed the address because I was working. It was like 20 minutes away from the original address and then the driver was just willing to cooperate and he delivered the car. Hi Quyen. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. At Sherpa Auto Transport we make sure that our customers not only get great service when shipping their car, but that they understand how the process works. In that vein, drivers often have multiple pickups and deliveries along the same route. These complex logistics can make it difficult to predict precise delivery and pickup times. So I would like better communication and follow-up. They definitely got the car there but it took a little longer and they did not drop the car off with what they picked it up with. The car was picked up in a big trailer but for the drop-off, the front of the car was on a hitch so the back of the car was being pulled by a van. There were some minor scuffs on the vehicle and I know those were after I signed the waiver.
Hi William. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are always eager to improve and we are incredibly grateful for customers like you to inform us where we can be better. It took them 5 days to transport and their quote was the exact amount I was charged on the delivery of my vehicle.
Their transporters called me when they were close by. Since at my home, there's not too much space for a truck to take the car out, their driver chose a location that was nearby and we met up there. By the time I got there, he had already unloaded my car and it was ready. We both went through the car and saw if there were any scratches or dents. The trailer was open so the car got dirty. Still, I was told that I would get reimbursed for my first car wash. Thereafter, their driver went through the paperwork and I signed it. Others should definitely contract Sherpa.

Being that I was on military orders and I had to report to school by a certain time. The first company set a date for pickup and they never followed through. That date came and went.

I needed to get my daughter's mini cooper back from university since she's home for the summer and would be transferring. I've looked at one or 2 other companies and everybody's about the same price, anywhere from $900 to $1,100 for that coast to coast transfer. I used a different firm when I set it out in the fall and it was about $930 or $950. But that was a challenge and the driver's English was not very good. This time, Sherpa did a good contact and they turned everything around right away. So, I got them to do the auto transport from San Diego to Annapolis, Maryland.
Then, after a slight delay, when I contacted them they told me that they typically don't get back until they have assigned it to a driver. And yes, the driver typically don't do it until the Sunday before their leaving so that they know what area they're gonna be in. That was the only nerve wracking portion because my daughter was on a tight schedule and not knowing if the car was for sure gonna be picked up or not. But then after that, everything went great. The customer service representative's knowledge and expertise was outstanding and the quote was accurate. Sherpa lived up to what they say they were gonna do. They were on time and it was easy for her to pick-up.
Delivery of the vehicle was made 7 days from when they picked up and we worked it out on the phone. The easiest spot was behind the local supermarket where the driver could get the truck in and out without any problems. He was there when he said he was gonna be there. I picked up the car and the vehicle was in same and excellent condition upon arrival. I gave the driver his money, and off he went. He was polite, very nice and accommodating. Overall, I had a great experience and I definitely recommend Sherpa.

But they changed owners when I called them. Then I booked with another place but they called me two days before the pick-up date and said that they couldn’t pick the cars up for another week. So, that was a nightmare. And then I went with another transport and they fell through. So I went online and started looking at different transport companies and then got to Sherpa. And we had them ship a Volkswagen Beetle and a Mazda 3 from New Jersey to Texas.
The Sherpa representative was great. When she said she was gonna call me, she called me. And when she said she was gonna email me information, she did. Compared to the last three experiences I had, it was the best. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, thinking this could be a big pain in the neck, but it didn’t and they were really good.
The quote was really high, but they were competitive. From what I’ve read, if you’re not charged enough, then a transport company will not take the car. It’s a very touch-and-go business and there’s not a lot of regulation. So if they can make more money taking another car, they’ll do it. But at the time the vehicles were delivered, the price did not fluctuate from their original quote.
The vehicles were delivered a couple of hours earlier. The driver was to drive the vehicles to a Walmart parking lot right off Interstate 35 because he thought that would be the easiest unloading, but then he called and said that Walmart would not let him in the parking lot. So he was at the gas station across the highway. My daughter went by herself and she had to get two cars. We were just gonna leave the cars in the parking lot at Walmart. But he drove her back and forth across the highway to help her out, which was very nice. He was very accommodating and perfectly willing to help her even though he had other things to do. I’ll use them again to get both cars back to Texas instead of driving and hopefully they’re around.
Hi Donna. Sherpa was founded after our owner was left dissatisfied with the customer service he received from other transport companies when he shipped his car. We’ve taken the problems he experienced to heart and work hard to anticipate potential challenges and prevent them from happening to our customers. One way we ensure this is through constant communication and honest, realistic pricing - both of which you experienced working with us.
Thank you for sharing your experience with your driver. We frequently update our carrier database to ensure we use the best drivers and your feedback is invaluable. Thank you for trusting us with your daughters’ cars. We’ll talk to you in the fall when they head back to Texas for school!

I was moving from Arkansas to California. I was going to transport a Dodge Dart. However, we ended up having two different transportation services because the first one never showed up. So, we ended up having to switch. Taylor at Sherpa was great. She did a good job and she seemed to know the requirements she needed from the end user. She had well rounded knowledge of her job responsibilities.
Furthermore, the response time that it took to find the driver impressed me. She took the stress away and the response was spot on. Also their quote was 100% accurate. Their driver handled the move professionally and he was on time. I couldn't ask for a better transportation service. I wish I had went with them the first time instead of going with them after the other company never showed.
Hi Deven. We can empathize with the frustration you felt when your first attempt to transport fell through. Our founder had a similar experience which is exactly why he set out to offer a better service. It can be difficult to feel comfortable with another company after experiencing disappointment and we’re grateful you trusted us to move your car to California.
Sherpa’s mission is to be honest and transparent with our customers about timelines, expectations and cost. It’s great to hear that your carrier was equally as communicative as the Sherpa team. We frequently update our carrier database to ensure we use the best drivers and your feedback is invaluable. Thank you again for working with us to move your Dodge Dart. If you need to ship another car in the future we hope to hear from you!

I purchased a 2010 Lotus Evora across the country and had it shipped over about 3000 miles, from Charlotte to Sacramento. Sherpa had the highest rating on this site so I picked them. The quote was also pretty much in line with everybody else's and it was exactly the price I paid in the end. I mostly spoke with Taylor and she was extremely helpful. The other person I spoke with was also very helpful. It was my first time ever doing something like this and they were really nice about it. They walked me through it and were very open and communicative. They gave me updates and there were no hidden gotchas. They did an excellent job.
The vehicle was picked up in Charlotte on Tuesday and delivered in Sacramento on Friday. There were two guys in the truck so they were probably trading off and they made it across the company much faster than they were expecting, which could have posed a problem on my end. I live in the middle of nowhere and they could deliver there but it would cost way more so I had to drive down and pick the car up in Sacramento. It was approximately a six-hour drive and Sherpa was aware of that. I had originally planned for the ETA as stated. But I was also planning on it potentially being sooner so we didn't get caught with our pants down. We caught the change in time so it all worked out.
The drivers were also very professional. They looked like they were really all about taking care of the cars and making sure that the cars didn't get bumped or scraped. I was impressed with that. They were rushed with the paperwork and in general because they had done 13 deliveries in one day. Fortunately, I caught a mistake with the paperwork and they were able to rectify it. All in all, Sherpa did a really good job. They were upfront and they got the job done.
Hi Patrick. We always strive to provide the best customer service and it’s great to hear that you experienced that first-hand while working with Taylor and the rest of our team. They enjoyed helping you transport your Lotus Evora. Sherpa was founded after our owner dealt with his own unpleasant “hidden gotcha” moments while shipping his car cross-country. In an industry where things are not always transparent, we vow to break the mold by always provide our customers with fair pricing and frequent, informative updates. Thank you for trusting us to move your car. We hope we can work together again in the future!

When I was doing a move, I looked at about five transport companies and chose Sherpa for their customer service. Taylor was really nice and I felt good working with him. There was also another guy and they did a really good job with finding me someone and keeping me calm because I was panicking. But I thought transporting my Infinity FX35 1600 miles would be cheaper. In fact, a couple of others were a little cheaper but three other companies were around the same price as Sherpa so I was skeptical about the couple that were a little cheaper. The quote was also pretty accurate although the final cost was expensive. But then again, I was told that if drivers are transporting more cars to certain areas it's cheaper. But if they're going to areas that they normally don't drive in, it's a little more expensive.
I talked to the driver myself and he driver did what he said he would do. I thought the transport was gonna be longer but he did it in three days. I was able to meet him and at a good location too. The vehicle's condition was the same as when he picked it up as well. I would tell others that as long as they're okay with paying the price, I would go with Sherpa.
Thank you for recommending us to others!

I had looked at three transport companies and Sherpa had the best price. I had to ship a 2011 F Lexus from Federal Way to Maryland. The price was very reasonable because a lot of companies wanted $3000 and theirs were under $2000 so I appreciated that. I had three quotes and they were the best. I also felt comfortable with the customer service. I felt confident in the company just by them talking on the phone. The representative was very professional and very respectful. She answered all my questions. It's like she already knew what I wanted to know and I appreciate that. Nothing was left out. She told me the price, the estimated time the vehicle should be in Maryland and they fulfilled that.
They let you know your deposit. It was no surprise and I like that. Most companies will say, "Oh well, we didn't you about this" and then you're stuck. But I appreciated everything they've told me. Everything was written plain for me to understand. And that's what you look for in a business. As my vehicle's being shipped, I called because I wanted to see the estimated time it would arrive. And after that the driver let me know, "I'm in Maryland now. I should be in your area around this time." I appreciated the constant communication throughout the whole process. The process was seven days like they predicted. I'm in a residential neighborhood and the driver managed to park the next block down. It was very quickly done. They told me that once my vehicle is delivered, they'd give me an option for a carwash $20 off. I was very pleased. I even told my friends, "If you're ever thinking about moving, call Sherpa."
Hi Tonja. Being upfront with our customers about how the process works, including expected costs, is incredibly important to us. We’ve spent lots of time researching, talking with our customers and carriers, anticipating questions and needs. We are more than happy to share everything we know about the process with our customers to ensure they feel comfortable and confident working with us. Hopefully you will take advantage of our Clean Car Guarantee, which allows our customers to get a car wash on Sherpa’s dime, so your car is looking its best in its new location. We hired an employee in the Alabama area and he was to be given a company car. So I needed a car transported from New Jersey to Alabama. I looked at a few companies and I even looked at the one we used before. But it was something about Sherpa and the lady that I had talked to there, Taylor, that I just decided to use them. She was very helpful. She took time to explain and answer questions that I felt was stupid on my part. But to her, she just wanted to make sure that I knew everything that was going to take place and how long it would take to get my car there and how they actually operate. She even let me know the coverage that they had in case something happened to the car.
When you set it up with them, there's a way you could go online and look at the quote. But Taylor actually gave me the quote and then sent the link to me in the email. You had to pay the $250 down and then the remaining when it got there to the driver. So I thought that was kind of neat. We had to pay a little bit more than what I was quoted by somebody else but we wanted it there by a certain day so we were willing to pay that extra little bit to get it there. And they did that for us. I think it's excellent. And if we had to do that again, I'll be going with them again. It's an awesome company. Also if we would turn in a receipt once it was delivered, they offered a free car wash and I thought that was pretty cool. I would definitely recommend Sherpa.
Hi Denise! When it comes to shipping your car - there is no such thing as a stupid question. We are willing to answer any and all questions to make sure that each customer we are lucky to work with feels comfortable and confident. In addition to answering questions with honesty, we also promise to be great listeners. Our Clean Car Guarantee program, which enables our customers to get a car wash on us, came to fruition after customer feedback about their cars arriving dusty after transport. We hope that you will take advantage of the program to get your new employee’s car looking great! Thanks for recommending us to your friends. Hopefully we can work together again in the future!

I needed to move a BMW sedan out east. I talked to the customer service representative at Sherpa and she was a happy and positive person. Sherpa seemed to have a good corporate culture and so I decided to give them a shot. They provided me a reasonable quote which was spot on. At first, we were trying to go to new Hampshire but then nobody wanted to drive there. So, the location wasn't working for a week or two. But then, I mentioned Boston and they said that they had people all the time there and so I talked to them about that. My vehicle arrived in perfect condition in six days. Overall, Sherpa was awesome. It was a great solid company with good communication. I would use their services again.
Hi Mark. Thanks for the review! We enjoyed working with you to get your BMW moved. We know how important convenience is to our customers and we strive to meet their expectations. I worked with Kim at Sherpa when we needed to ship a car from Chicagoland to Sarasota, Florida. I never transported a car before and he was very helpful and did a really good job. The other place that I talked to was kind of blunt and they weren't very inviting. Our biggest problem was the timing, but the gentleman from Sherpa worked with us very well with that. Also, the price was good and they stuck to it. The delivery went well. We had scheduled for it to be in on Tuesday, April 17th. But the driver was actually there on Monday, April 16th, which wasn’t a problem but it might have been. But we were able to get in a day early ourselves. So, we were able to make the time. And the driver communicated very well throughout the whole process. He was a very nice guy. I would recommend Sherpa and totally use them again.
Hi Michael. Shipping a car for the first time can feel daunting. We do our best to alleviate any concerns a customer might have by being courteous, honest and communicative throughout the entire auto transport process. Due to the fluctuating nature of weather patterns and road conditions it can be difficult to nail down exact dates regarding pickup and drop off. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we worked together to get your car delivered.
It’s wonderful to hear that the carrier you worked with was also great at keeping in touch. We frequently update our carrier information and your feedback is invaluable. We look forward to hearing from you next time you need to ship a car!

I was moving and I needed to ship a sedan from North Carolina to Texas. I called Sherpa Auto Transport and they said they were gonna set it up and they’d call me back. Two days later, they did and said it was gonna be shipped three days from then. I agreed but a day later, they called back and said it was gonna be two weeks. I was a little annoyed but the next day, they called back and said they could do it that day if possible. So, it all worked out in the end. They did what they could and were trying to provide me with the best service.
During delivery, they called me two hours beforehand and said they were going to be there. Then they dropped my car off and its condition was the same as when I put it on their truck. It took two days for them to get to my apartment and that worked out fine. Their driver was good and seemed pleasant, too. Plus, based on the other quotes that I got, the cost of their service wasn’t any more expensive. So, I’m satisfied. It may have been different had it turned out that I had to wait two weeks but that didn’t happen. All in all, it was a good experience. There was a little touch and go there for a minute but any moving experience is never seamless.
Hi Melisa. Thank you for trusting us to ship your sedan. We know how important it is to keep our customers updated throughout the transport process which is why we talk to you every step of the way. (In your case, there were a few additional steps as we worked to find the best carrier for your vehicle.) We employ a thorough multi-step vetting process for our drivers and customer feedback is an important element. We will be sure to add your comments to his file. I'm in the military and had a cross-country move. I drove one of my vehicles and had to ship the other. I called a couple of transport companies and Sherpa helped me out. They took care of most of the stuff and called me back. They showed attention to detail and they were just active in getting the information out to me. Their flex quote was pretty accurate and I ended up totaling about $1450.
Sherpa hired one of the drivers that they have on contract to take my car across. There was a mix-up with the car being picked up. I wanted it picked up on a Friday or Saturday. And then it was picked up on a Thursday. But that ended up being a non-issue since it still fit in my window. I got the truck driver's phone number and just texted him directly, and he called me when he was gonna be in town because I wanted to be there when he dropped the car off.
I insisted on the truck driver to be careful with my car because it's a pretty expensive vehicle. He did take care of it for the most part, but it was my first time shipping a car, so I was still nervous. The only issue I had was the car was totally filthy because he drove through Montana and it was snowing, and then there were dust and rain. I had to get it professionally cleaned again. Sherpa reimburses about $20 for a car wash, but it wasn't enough. I had to pay more to get the car in the same condition I got it in. But other than that, Sherpa did awesome. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, straightforward, and fast.
Hi Jared. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and thank you for your service. The auto transport process can be challenging and we do our best to anticipate all those potential issues by being, as you said, straightforward, friendly and knowledgeable. We’re glad that you experienced our customer-first mentality as we worked together to get your car to your new home. Like you said, the weather can be a big factor in how dusty a car gets during transport. Making sure that customers are satisfied with the state of their car post-delivery is the reason we created our Clean Car Guarantee. It’s great to hear that you took advantage of this program. We purchased a vehicle in Maine and had to have it transported to Woodville, Ohio. I liked the way Sherpa handled the phone call when I called. Their quote was fair from the other companies that I talked to. It was in the same pricing range and it was competitive. The actual delivery was very well-coordinated and professional. The vehicle was in an open transport so it had a little dirt and dust on it, but other than that, it was great. Sherpa did exactly what they said they were gonna do and everything happened as expected. I'd recommend them.
Hi Craig. Making sure our customers are happy is our number one priority. We strive to do this with every transport by being friendly, communicative and honest about our pricing and the auto transport process. My son's godfather gave him a Toyota pickup and after looking at six companies, we decided to ship it with Sherpa based on gut feeling and reviews. Plus Taylor was very professional and helpful. She'd help when I needed her to. I felt more comfortable with them. They were on the high end as far as cost but they told me it was really what the transport was gonna cost and that was what sealed the deal. It was extremely accurate too. There was no variance by a dime.
The driver was polite. The only problem was that the guy was two days early. I don't normally carry $1,000 in cash so instead of taking my nap during lunch break, I had to run home and get cash. I had them drop it off at the Toyota dealership that I work at and it worked out perfectly. The truck showed up in good shape. It was dirty but that was to be expected since it traveled 1,000 miles from Lenexa, Kansas to West Palm Beach. There were also personal items left on the floor of the front seat of the truck and it was not like they went through the truck and snatched anything. It went seamlessly and I would use Sherpa Auto Transport again.

I used a different car carrier from Chicago to Florida but I wanted to go to Detroit because I have a daughter there and they didn't go to Detroit. It was too long of a drive and I'm 76. I didn't want to drive myself. I changed to Sherpa and they were reliable, efficient and polite. They seemed to take good care of the car. When I had questions, Tim answered everything and he also kept me informed. They picked up my 2011 Hyundai Tucson pretty much on time then it got there when they said they would get there. Everything was in good shape so I was happy. But car carriers are all expensive so it's a big thing to ship vehicles. Still, whatever Sherpa quoted was what I paid. And I was happy they let me put some things in the car and fill up the back seat and the trunk because sometimes, they don't like you to do that.

I needed to ship a car from California to Georgia and I saw that the reviews for Sherpa were good. When I talked to them, I liked the manner in which the rep presented how they could deal with all the issues involved with transporting a car. He was patient and he led me through the process which was positive and seamless. He gave me a quote which was fair and reasonable. It was higher than some but lower than others. He also told me how long it would take to get the car across the country and when they would pick it up. All of it fell into place and it sounded good, so I went with them. He fulfilled his commitment and what I paid them in total was what was quoted. Also, my understanding was they were a new company and I have a little bit of favoritism for new people trying to make a way in the world. So that sort of swayed me a little bit.
Sherpa did the job, they were courteous, polite and reassured me of all the things that had to be done. They kept in touch with me when the car was picked up, they followed up after the car was delivered and they reimbursed me $20 to get the car washed because it came in dirty. But it is not Sherpa's fault because it's just the way it is if you ship a car. I would recommend my friends to a company that I used and I was happy with. It was a positive experience and if I was gonna do it again, I would call them first.

I'm in the military and I had to change duty stations, so I needed to ship my car, a Honda Accord 2015, from Washington to Maryland. I looked at two transport companies, then I went with Sherpa Auto Transport because their reviews were good and their price was more reasonable. The rep, Tim, was perfect and I loved him. When I got worried because the transport date was coming and I didn’t have a driver yet, he let me know that he was gonna do everything he could to get me a driver. Tim explained to me that Sherpa has a policy of getting a driver either the day before or on the day of the shipping. I thought I was gonna get a driver assigned to me a week before the shipping date, but Tim reassured me that everything was good. In fact, I did get a driver on that day and everything went smoothly.
I enjoyed the flex quote provided by Sherpa. The original quote I received was very accurate and it was exactly what happened after the completion of the transport. The final cost in relation to the quality of service that I got was perfect. I got exactly what I paid for and a little bit more because any time that I had a question, I talked to the same person, Tim. That was very helpful because he knew me, exactly what I had planned with the company, and where I was going, and he was familiar with my story, and I didn’t have to keep calling and talking to a different person, and explaining things to him over and over again.
I had to have a friend receive my vehicle when it was delivered because I wasn’t on the East Coast at that time, but when I did get a chance to collect my vehicle, everything was perfect and there were no extra scratches on it. The whole transport from pickup to delivery took a week. The driver said my car would be the last one to be delivered because it was his first pickup and they drop off the cars that are in the front first. That was fine because I wasn’t even gonna be out here yet to use my car.
If I had to transport my car again, I would try to recommend Tim again. He even called me right after my car was delivered to make sure. He kept calling any time he had new information and he let me know exactly what he knew, and that was just perfect. Sherpa has reasonable prices for the exact same service that everybody else will give you, and they would probably even give you better service.

Some other places couldn’t answer my question. It was almost like they're a third or fourth party company, so I decided to go with Sherpa Auto.
The quote they provided was good. They started out at $800 and then they brought it down $50 and that made a big difference. What I was trying to do on my end was to not have to pay to fix the car once it got there, and it worked out okay. The driver did what he was supposed to do and picked up my car on a Wednesday then got to the destination by Friday, which was when I had to get it. I was on the telephone with my father during the delivery and he said everything went great. The only thing he said was that it must have been dusty outside, but other than just cleaning it he didn’t have any issues. Just by the way their first conversation went, I knew that my son was going to go with Sherpa. Their driver was timely in contacting us and getting the car. Other companies called us afterwards and wanted us to change to them as it would be cheaper but then we already committed to Sherpa.
My son is a truck driver who drives all over the country. He talked to the Sherpa driver and asked him to come down $25, being truck driver to truck driver. Furthermore, he arrived three or four days after he picked up the car. When he arrived with the vehicle, there were no scratches and nothing was wrong with it. The driver was very professional and he was also polite and congenial with my husband.
Hi Joan. We’re so sorry for your daughter-in-law’s passing. Thank you for trusting us to move her vehicle. It’s really important to us that your vehicle is well taken care of during transport, which is why we have a thorough vetting process for our carriers. We had to ship a Toyota Tundra pickup from the West Coast to the East Coast. I talked to three transport companies but then upon talking to Sherpa, I felt comfortable with who I was talking to on the phone. Their representative was nice and told me exactly what was going to happen and when they were going to pick up the vehicle. Also, the quote I received from them was better than the others I got and when I paid the final cost, it was right on. My vehicle was shipped in four days which was better than what I expected.
Hi Paul. Thank you for choosing to ship your car with Sherpa Auto Transport. We know you had a lot of other options. Our use of the latest technology to project accurate costs combined with our commitment to transparent pricing enables us to provide you with a fair and accurate quote. We always promise to work hard to get your car moved with a carrier you can trust and most importantly communicate clearly about the process. Thank you again for letting us ship your Toyota Tundra. We hope you enjoy your time on the east coast!

I had Sherpa transport a 2018 Jeep Wrangler about 1,500 miles. I liked their price and professionalism so I went with them. Their customer service representative, Tim, kept me informed, followed up on things and kept me advised of the status of finding a carrier for our car. I got a competitive quote from them which was the exact amount I paid in the end.
Also, it was funny that the driver came up from Miami into a small blizzard in Minnesota. While Sherpa communicated very well with the driver, it was difficult to get a transporter assignment because there were so many snowbirds. Still, from the time we knew our vehicle was on the truck, it got here in three to four days. The vehicle looked like it had been through a snowstorm when it got here but we believe it's in good shape. Sherpa did an excellent job.
Hi Nancy. We’re glad you were pleased with the job that we did for you. The auto transport business begins to heat up in April as folks relocating for the summer look to ship their car. Thank you for your patience as we worked diligently to find a carrier that could not only deliver your car but also meet our standards for safety and professionalism.
Just like if you drive your car thousands of miles, transporting a car in an open carrier can often leave the vehicle dirtier at the end of the journey than you (and we) prefer. That’s why we’re proud to offer our Clean Car Guarantee which covers the cost of a car wash once your car reaches its final destination. This program ensures you are as satisfied with the state of your car at the end of the transport process as you were with the beginning. We hope you, and all our customers, will take advantage of this guarantee!

My wife passed away and I needed her silver four-door Honda Civic up in Maine because there was an argument over it. My mother went online, looked around for car carriers and was really impressed with the people who answered the phone. They were straight with the answers and told her what the price would be, et cetera. And if she was impressed, I was impressed.
Sherpa was a reasonable company too. I had talked to six transport companies and I found one that wanted $1350 to ship from Virginia up to Maine. That was uncalled for. I can see something like that if you’re hauling a whole fleet of cars up, but not for one. I talked to the Sherpa representative for a couple of minutes and he wanted $974 but I got them down for $900. They were willing to argue with me on the price a little bit and that was really what impressed me. I also liked that, in talking to them, they knew what they were doing and I was very satisfied with all the questions that they answered for me.
As soon as the driver got the confirmation on the load, he gave me a call and made sure that the address and the directions getting there were correct. I really appreciated that. Then before he got to the destination, he called me again and made sure I was at the right address and what the directions were to get in there. Then I told him who’s gonna be there to receive the car. So I was really impressed. The guy followed directions correctly in trying to get in there and the whole ordeal was really good. I've recommended Sherpa to my uncle too.
Hi Eric. We’re sorry for your loss and are thankful you trusted us to ship your wife’s Civic. We're really glad everything worked out at your price point. Our commitment to fair pricing means that we will always try to find the lowest price for our customers given current market trends and shipment timing needs. In this case, everybody won! Additionally, thank you for you feedback on the driver - we will add these notes to his file and mark him as a preferred carrier. This process helps us make sure the quality of our network of drivers is always improving. Really glad we got to work with you Eric and we look forward to helping out your friends and family soon!

My family was moving to another state so we needed the car, a 2000 Mercedes C320, to be transferred from Massachusetts to where they were moving in Florida. I needed a quote right away and Sherpa was also quick to pick up the car. That stuck out. Their representatives were very good and the process was convenient. I had never shipped a car before and they were really good in letting me know how the process would work and how they would choose a driver. The car was picked up a day later then the transport took from Wednesday to Sunday. It was within the timeframe they told me and I was able to meet the driver at the location. Everything went as planned and I paid exactly what they told me I was gonna pay. Everything was fine with the vehicle too.
We’re committed to guiding our customers (especially first timers like yourself) through the auto transport process with honesty and transparency to make it as stress-free as possible. Thank you for the great review and we look forward to working together again in the future!

My dad gave me a Porsche and we needed to have it transported from New Jersey to Colorado where I live. I did a Google search and came up with consumer reports and chose Sherpa Transport from there. I called in, spoke to their rep and he explained that they are actually not the transport company, that they put bids out for others, and he would put a bid out.
The rep was very easy to deal with, so I understood the process and what exactly was going to happen. He kept in touch with me the whole time and we became like pseudo-friends just talking. There were times where I would call but then I'd say that I had to run out to get the kids or something like that. No one picked up during my initial call where it went to their system. But even if I didn't leave a message, he called me back.
I was really happy with the whole transaction. They definitely went above. In the week that they were forecasting to pick-up, there was a major nor'easter on the East Coast which made things a little difficult. One thing I did not realize was that it's hard for commercial trucks to get to where my father's address is located in New Jersey so the people didn't take the bid immediately because they saw the location which is kind of a winding road. But when I called Sherpa back for an update, they were able to contract somebody within that day.
Going forward, if I ever had to transport something, I would have them choose the pick-up at a better location. If there's a location that is not necessarily a great location for pick-up, I think that people would be willing to drop off at a rest stop, at a turnpike, or a Garden State Parkway. Because I think, obviously, the more that are interested, then you create more competition. And in this case, there wasn't enough competition and that's why they waived their fee. I think they didn't make any money off of it all, that they just wanted to get the job done that they said could be done. So if Sherpa would say upfront that there are certain locations that will be picked up one, two, three, and we can get a really great deal on it, that would be good. But at the same time, I don't know if that's good for their business. I don't know if that's something that they want, to put someone out of their way to have to drive somewhere.
The final cost of the service was great. It was lower than I expected. Originally, there was a fee that I would pay to Sherpa and then to the people who dropped the car off. But when the rep wasn't able to secure a bid, Sherpa waived their fee and it turned out to be the same amount that was quoted, but I just paid them directly. The vehicle transport took four days. I wasn't in a rush at all, but that was a pretty good time frame. The people that dropped the car off, a male and a female, were great. They were friendly and talkative and talked about the weather and where they were going next. It was nice to see some East Coast people.
I've recommended Sherpa to my brother-in-law. He was looking at buying a new car. Our lease is up in August, and I've not been working since we moved out to Colorado so I have not been driving my car at all and I don't want to return the lease because there are so few miles on it. I wanted to sell it myself. When my brother-in-law said he maybe would buy it and was going to fly out here and drive back, I said, "No. That honestly makes no sense because we just had my dad's car shipped out for $700. We can just ship the car to you and then go through Sherpa."
Hi Abby. At Sherpa we know that shipping your car across the country can be fraught with potential challenges. That is why we are committed to guiding our customers through the process with frequent, honest and thorough communication. We always want the folks we work with to feel well-informed and confident in shipping their vehicle with our company. We’re glad you had a great experience with Tim, one of our representatives. He enjoyed working with you to get your Porsche shipped.
Although we offer door-to-door service, navigating narrow streets with a large carrier truck can be difficult. Thanks for being patient and understanding as the driver worked with you to find the best location to deliver your vehicle.
Thank you for recommending Sherpa Auto Transport to your brother-in-law. A referral is the greatest compliment!

We were moving cross country and we were going to ship a Volkswagen Mule from California to Virginia. We looked at two other companies but then we had a bad experience with another one at the delivery services. They didn't explain to us how their process worked and the way that they charged. That made it very difficult to get our car picked up. So, we ended up cancelling with them and then going with Sherpa.
We called Sherpa on a Friday and asked if they could ship our vehicle right away. They were able to find someone to do it that following Monday and we were able to receive our car that Friday thereafter. They kept us updated and called us. They emailed that Monday when they hadn't gotten someone and then again later the same day when the were able to find someone to deliver our vehicle.
Furthermore, the quote we received from them was reasonable for what we were asking which was to try and get our car transported as soon as possible. Other services were asking for a lot of money. Sherpa told us that it was unnecessary for us to pay that much and that they thought they would be able to do the shipment without us having to spend all that money. In the end, we got charged what they said an our vehicle was shipped in 5 days. Our vehicle was in great condition when it arrived. I recommend Sherpa. They were very reliable.
Hi Veronica. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We believe that ongoing, clear communication is crucial to successfully transporting a car. The auto transport process can be confusing, which is why we are committed to explaining every step of the process to you and keeping in touch throughout your car’s journey. Sherpa Auto Transport was founded after our owner had his own poor experiences with misleading pricing and less than satisfactory carriers. His experiences are why we dedicate ample time to vetting our carriers and being honest with you, and all of our customers, about what you can reasonably expect to pay to move your car. Thank you again for trusting us with your vehicle. We hope we can work together again in the future!

I had to ship a Chrysler Crossfire from DC to the Bay Area, Oakland, California. I looked through five different transport companies and the flex quote provided by Sherpa was a little lower than some other places. Tim was the person who helped me through the whole process and I was very satisfied with the way he responded and how timely he was with everything. I was also very satisfied with the final cost which was the same as what he quoted me.
Also, their driver communicated well. There was a mixup with the driver not being able to deliver door-to-door but I understood that his trailer was too long or big to go into the area where the vehicle would be picked up. At the last minute, the driver said that someone had to meet him about 15 minutes away. My son had to meet with the driver which was a little inconvenient. Still, even when the vehicle got to my end, it ended up being door-to-door because the driver had to park his truck and then drive my car to my house. All in all, it took about a week for pickup to delivery which met my expectations. Furthermore, I got my car in the condition it was in when I left it. Sherpa's service was perfect and I recommend them.
Hi Kay. Thanks for leaving a review! Tim also enjoyed working with you to get your car moved. We appreciate your patience and flexibility with the change in your meet-up spot. Carriers with large trailers often have difficulty fitting on narrow neighborhood streets. The new location prevented any damage from occurring to any surrounding vehicles and of course, your own car during drop-off. It’s wonderful that you would recommend Sherpa Auto Transport to others. We promise to continue working hard to be deserving of your recommendation.

I was relocating to another state and I was under a constrained timeline so I had to make any commitment pretty quickly. I just Google-searched and Sherpa Auto Transport had decent reviews online. They quoted a fair price too. Those were good enough for me and they didn't fall short of my expectations either. I would recommend them.
I was shipping my Honda Odyssey close to 2,000 miles, all the way from New Mexico to Florida. And Tim went over the details of whether it was gonna be a close or open transport. At that time, I didn't have a final destination because I needed to find a house out here first. So Tim just gave me an estimate based on the approximation where I would be relocating to. Then as it got closer to the time for pick-up, he followed up and let me know who would actually be delivering my vehicle. Then he also requested an update on the destination. The driver dropped my vehicle off right in front of my house at around 8:00 PM. It was the last stop on his route, coming back up 'cause he went all the way down to Miami and came back up. But it was good. He walked me around the vehicle to double-check and make sure that I didn't see any damages. It arrived intact and as it left, and the final cost ended up being about the same as the quote.
Hi Shaun,
Thanks for taking the time to submit this excellent review and recommending us to others! It is always a good idea to inspect your vehicle at pickup and dropoff, but it is great to hear that the driver took the initiative to conduct this quick assessment to ensure your satisfaction. We thoroughly vet our carriers for quality and this feedback is extremely important to make sure our process is working. We’re glad everything went well and we look forward to working with you or your friends/family in the future!

I've used another transport service a couple of years ago and then, I saw Sherpa had the best website out of all of them and I liked it. I would put my information on a site and then, all of sudden, I'd get 70 calls from different contractors. With Sherpa, I really liked that there is just one middleman that took care of all of that. Tim was awesome, the sweetest and the most helpful. He was kind, answered all my questions and took his time explaining everything. Also, I looked at all the reviews, and they were good.
The quote was awesome and you don't have to bargain since they had a flat rate. You don't have to talk to people back and forth like in the company that I used in the past. When a person arrives, it was very cut and dry. For a company like Sherpa, I would almost expect it to be more expensive but I was happy to find that it was just around the amount that I paid before, but it wasn't the extra haggle and the extra trouble. So, I was really satisfied with the whole thing.
The people were professional and very communicative. A day before, they let me know exactly where the driver was and around what time he would come in. And if that was going to change, they said that they would notify me right away. The guy who delivered my car was sweet and he was a really nice guy. I had my car delivered before when I lived in the hills. And since I didn't have a car, I had to Uber down to where the driver was because he couldn't drive up in the hills. But with this delivery, it was just my car on his truck as opposed to the bay truck.
It took a week for the transport and the timeframe was perfect because that was how I planned out my trip to get there at a certain time. I was able to borrow a car until it arrived and it got there exactly around the time that the company said that it would. My car was dirtier than I imagined when it arrived but it's fine. There was no harm done and it was great. I'm glad that I chose Sherpa when I moved cross-country to get my car from Maryland to California and I'll use them again. It’s the best company that I've ever, ever used and their quality is really wonderful. The price is also perfect so I would recommend them.

The other companies either didn't get back or took too long to get back to us. Since it was my first time to transport a vehicle, I had a lot of questions and their customer service team got back to me right away. And, the cost of the service was good, it was cheap and professional. Furthermore, the delivery of my vehicle went smoothly. It was a day late but that has something to do with the driver which is fine. It took six days from beginning to end with the day added on there.
The driver, on the other hand, just picked a spot and I went and met him there. It was just a quick interaction. I paid them and they dropped the truck off. The vehicle was dirty but I was kind of expecting it since it went all the way through the country. Moving forward, I suggest they use a tracker on the truck so we could see where it was at, like a little app or something. Other than that, my experience was fine.

I got orders to a different base for the military and I was going to be here for a bit so I had my car transported 1900 miles. I looked at eight other companies and Sherpa was the one that came up. I took a look at it and decided to give Tim a call because he was pressing me pretty hard. The original quote was $800 and it was a good deal so I took it. Tim was great and the customer service was awesome but the delivery guy changed the delivery date to Friday night from Saturday. Since I’m in the military, I’m at a secured base and I’m not allowed to have my phone in certain buildings plus, right now, we have a curfew on the base. He wanted me to pick it up after curfew so had to get it approved. I had security clearance but it was just the hassle. He was right on schedule and it’s a good thing he arrived early but it was a bad situation. The timeframe was great but he could have communicated way better.
I was quoted $744 and that’s how much I paid. Tim told me that I had to put $200 down and I wanted to use my credit card but only $50 was charged to it and the remainder was upfront with the driver. I wished it would have been more a little more on the credit card so I could have gotten a little more cash back from the original quote. It cost me the same amount which was fine but I took it more out of my check. Cost and quality-wise, it was fair and on point. A friend was considering shipping a car up here as well and I gave him the company's name and contact information. He got a quote from Sherpa and I would suggest it to him.

We weren't able to physically take the vehicle ourselves. So, we tried to find the cheapest price and better quality to be able to get the vehicle to where we needed to go. I looked at five or six different transport companies but Sherpa Auto Transport's reviews were better and they had a decent price so I chose them. Their customer service team was friendly and gave us all the information on their process, how they did things and what to expect next. They also gave us update on a daily basis and as each event took place. They did really good although the quote got adjusted for the driver's sake. But it’s not expensive. Sherpa ended up losing a $100 to have the driver company and take the vehicle for us in a timely manner.
However, the drivers ended up being an hour and a half late on pick-up and on delivery from what they originally stated that they would arrive and deliver the vehicle. But they did deliver it within 24 hours. The driver was able to come to us and go to where it was being delivered. However, there was some confusion price wise but I handled it. The communication was fine as far as the driver and Sherpa go towards me. The actual cost was good. They offered a discount so that was beneficial for us.
It would've been better though if the delivery team would provide a window versus, "Hey, I’ll be there in about 20 minutes.” And then, an hour later you were trying to figure out what was going on. It was an excuse after excuse. Sherpa has got to stop for an inspection. And on the pick-up side, they could give a window like, "I should be there within whatever.” More time expectation is what it is. Nonetheless, I'd tell others to use Sherpa over anyone else.
Thanks for the review, Chad! Sherpa Auto Transport was founded to bring transparency and reliability to the car shipping industry. We pride ourselves on our honesty and commitment to a positive customer experience and go the extra mile to ensure we meet our pricing commitments.

I was moving a car from one state to another, and I looked at about eight service providers. Sherpa's price was not the lowest, but it was in the lower quarter of it and they were very helpful over the phone when I talked to them. This kind of service ranged anywhere from $700 up to $1,200. I had never done it in my life, and most people never do that in their lifetime. So, I was going, "Okay. Where's the happy medium here?" Their reps seemed very knowledgeable, friendly, honest and helpful, too. They answered all my questions over the phone. The initial quote given to me was right on, and I paid exactly as the quote.
The two people that came to get the car were very professional and knowledgeable as well. The truck was very clean, and it did not seem like it was old. It was very new. I have seen these things on the road and some of them don't look as safe as the others. Sherpa's was a very well-maintained vehicle where they transported my car. From San Francisco, California to Denver, Colorado, it only took 24 hours. I was shocked! Other places told me it would take anywhere from three to five days. They also handled it very well with my son on the other end, and it came in perfect condition just as they picked it up. So, I was very happy with them.
The drivers also gave me their cell phone, and they told me that they would call my son the following morning on when exactly they would be there and where exactly they would unload the vehicles, depending on whether their street would accommodate their large vehicle to go down or if they would have to meet somewhere else. My son's street was a little small so they met right off the street and it worked out fine. Sherpa did a really good job, and I would recommend them again.

The driver had some trouble getting to our house so we had to go meet him somewhere else because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to get out of our neighborhood. So he didn’t drop the car off in front of our house, but it was only half or a mile on the main road so it was fine. Sherpa is a good company and has good customer service which I liked. They were upfront, honest, and kept me well-informed. I was very satisfied and I'd work with them again, for sure.
Hi Jim,
Thanks for the great review! We’re glad to hear that our honesty and consistent communication made your Nissan transport easier. We’re also happy that you were not inconvenienced by having the delivery occur on the main road. Our carriers often have big trailers which can make maneuvering narrow streets difficult. In situations like these, we defer to the judgement of the driver for safety reasons. We appreciate that you let us guide you through the process and look forward to working with you again in the future!

I was moving from Philadelphia to Florida and I have too many cars. I needed my 2015 Corvette transported. I don't want to drive it down. I looked into six companies. Sherpa Auto Transport got a good rating and they were easy to get in touch with. Their price was fair too. It wasn't the cheapest but it wasn't the most expensive either. Their rep was really nice. He always answered the phone, called me back right away and made sure I knew where my car was. He made sure that everything was good and smooth. The quote they provided was spot on and the final cost of service was fair. The transport took two days, which exceeded my expectation. The driver was nice. He made sure that everything went in properly. The vehicle looked the same as when I dropped it off. Everything went nice and smooth just like I like it. I would recommend them.
We’re glad to hear everything went so smoothly with your Corvette, David! Honesty, communication and quality are what we pride ourselves on here at Sherpa so we’re glad you decided to let us guide you through the process. Thank you for your review and for choosing Sherpa Auto Transport!

I was moving across country and I shipped a small convertible from California to Illinois. I liked the owner of Sherpa when I talked to him so I chose them. They gave me a quote and they stuck to it. I didn’t get upcharged for anything. But I wasn’t here to receive the car. My sister did. They showed up and the car was absolutely filthy, you couldn’t tell it was a white car and it had taken a beating. The driver went through a couple of storms in the northern states. But it was very fast. They loaded my car on a Friday and it was delivered on a Monday.
The driver showed up early on my end and I said, “I talked to you yesterday and I told you I couldn’t give you the car until after 3:00.” And then I told him I wouldn’t be here to receive it and he knew it. It was written on a paperwork and then he called me so that was annoying and I had to find other arrangements to receive it. Nevertheless, I'd recommend them. The owner of Sherpa was great on the phone. It's just that he doesn’t meet his people because he’s grabbing them from all over the country. I don’t know how thorough his due diligence is because this is only my first experience.
Thank you for providing this thorough review and we’re so glad you would recommend Sherpa to others! Occasionally due to extreme weather or road conditions an open transport can result in the delivery of dirty vehicles. We regret that this happened with your move. We do employ a thorough multi-step vetting process for our drivers and customer feedback is an important element of that. We value your driver feedback and will add your comments to his file. Thank you for choosing Sherpa Auto Transport and we hope to work with you again in the future!

My experience shipping my Volvo from Philadelphia to Charlotte with Sherpa Auto Transport was amazing. Tim was extremely helpful at every step of the process, from explaining what to expect during my shipment to ensuring that I was informed of the status of the delivery. Their customer service was top notch!
One thing Tim assured me of was that he would never send someone to pick up my car that didn't meet their strict standards not only clean driving records and insurance, but also a high level of professionalism. My last experience shipping my car, the driver was rude and unreliable, but the driver Sherpa sent exceeded my expectations. Tony was very friendly. He showed up on time and even helped me jump my car since the battery was dead. I didn't expect to enjoy our interaction but I watched my car pull away with a big smile on my face knowing it was in good hands.
The trip took 3 days and I received a call each morning from Tim with the location of the driver and the estimated delivery time. This was super helpful as my daughter was able to plan her day around the delivery time. When I shipped my car last year with a different company I had to clear the schedule for the whole delivery day because I wasn't told until an hour before when my car would be arriving! Tony showed up exactly when we were told he would at my daughter's driveway with my Volvo. The whole transaction took less than 10 minutes and my daughter was able to get back to work before her lunch break ended. I was super shocked by this!
After the drop-off Tim checked back in with me to make sure everything went okay. He was glad to hear that everything went well. He also assured me that in the unlikely event that something did go wrong he would work with me every step of the way to make things right. Talk about great customer service!
All in all, I highly recommend Sherpa. Their service was top notch and they were able to ship my car for less than the other companies I got a quote from. They truly seem like they care about giving customers the best possible experience and I will definitely be using them for any auto shipments in the future.
Thank you for the awesome review, Sue! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Tim and the Sherpa Auto Transport team. We look forward to helping you again soon!
