    I looked up Sherpa's ratings and spoke to about three companies. Sherpa seemed to have the most responsiveness and the pricing was fair, which was why I decided to go with them. Customer service has been very responsive and timely. The driver showed up on time. We had a little issue regarding the delivery. I sent the car out to my son and daughter-in-law and they could only receive it on a Saturday or Sunday, but Sherpa kinda accommodated me on that. They delivered on time and on the weekend.

    Sherpa was probably the best experience I had in purchasing my car. We've had great communication. I put out an email and got 20 different companies hit me up for the transfer of this car. I like Sherpa's emails I looked them up and they had really good reviews. I called them and they gave me a great quote. They were probably the best price that I felt comfortable with because they seemed very professional. I knew when the contract was done and when they found the driver. And then the driver contacted me. They just followed through. So I was very pleased. The delivery went great. I couldn’t have asked for better. It happened pretty quick and I was surprised. Excellent price for the quality I got.

    My experience with Sherpa was fantastic. They had a lot of really great reviews and they were the only company who was able to give me an upfront cost. And everybody was so friendly. This is something that I've never done before, so it was nice to talk to somebody who was really friendly and patient answering all my questions. The delivery went easily too. The driver arrived a day early, so he just sent me text message letting me know that he had arrived. He met me at my work and dropped it off. Sherpa made everything so easy and stressless. If I ever need an auto transport again, I will definitely go with them.

    I did a lot of research because a lot of companies that I found online, you'd set everything up but then they'd call you and say, "Well, we're gonna need $200 more because this is the only spot that we have open." I went with Sherpa because they had the guaranteed lock on the price. It wasn't gonna change. I didn't wanna have any last-minute problems of being more money. When they called me, they were very proactive and told me everything that was gonna be happening, and kept in touch with me. And then when I had to delay it a little bit, they backed off and didn't pressure me, then when I needed them again, they were right there.

    Everything went according to plan. I thought, "Oh, my God, there's probably gonna be something wrong with my car," but nothing did. Everything was in perfect condition. They had trouble finding a driver, and they said, "Okay, we can't find a driver so we're just gonna offer him the full amount." They made nothing on it to get me a driver. So they made zero dollars. They paid the driver the whole $1,050. They went over-the-top. And they were so super friendly and did their job. I would definitely go back and use the company again, and if anyone needed any kind of transportation, I would definitely tell them that's the company to go to. I'm very hard to please too. I have very high expectations on everything, but they were exceeded so I'm really happy.

    My experience was excellent all the way across the board, from the beginning of me setting it up and missing my first payment where I had to do my deposit and had to turn around then do another whole set up all over again. I initially thought it was gonna be a hassle but Sherpa was really helpful. They followed up really quickly. It was also the same price and no add on. Then, they got the car here a bit early and the driver was excellent.

    I was moving across the country, and my wife was uncomfortable with us driving separate cars. So I had a sedan 2003, BMW 325i shipped with Sherpa. I like the price lock thing that they have. I got a quote, and then it wasn't ridiculously high and after that, that was good. I probably would have gone with some of the others if it had been that much more, but I had somebody else quote a little bit less, but it was also unreliable.

    The rep of Sherpa was super cool. He was nice and easy to talk to and didn't sound crazy bored. He cared, and he went out of his way to make sure I knew some of the important details that were critical to me and my little excursion. Transparency is important, and it also helped greatly that he explained the process from start to finish. I never felt like I had to call back to ask how something was gonna work. Explaining the process was the best part.

    I told them when we were gonna be there, and they were there two days earlier and that sucked. It is what it is, and they have to plan for some extra days. But this was one of those situations where he just happened to be able to blow on through, but I wish it didn't mean that I needed to make other arrangements. The arrangements were done for me mostly, but then I ended up paying via PayPal to a personal account. It was just a weird situation. But ultimately, everybody worked with me and made it happen. By then, it was beyond Sherpa, but I do wish that they have not arrived early. But everything looked the same and pretty much normal with the vehicle.

    A friend of ours had used Sherpa in the last couple years and they recommended them. I also had looked at other companies before and had signed up with one, but I wasn’t satisfied with them. When I contacted Sherpa, the female customer service representative was very friendly and helpful. The quote I was provided was a little bit higher than others, but they were upfront about what they were charging, the total cost, what their part was, and what the driver’s part was.

    We used them to transport our car from California and the driver called us for the pickup. My wife got the call and it was a couple hours in advance that he was coming by. He parked on a bigger street, not on our residential street because the car carrier would not fit on our street, and we drove the car out there, which was a couple hundred feet. He loaded the car up and he was very nice and personable. The car arrived in Colorado 3 days later which was still within the time quoted and my daughter received it. She paid him and it went really well.

    My experience with Sherpa was great. The rep was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed. We made a mistake that night, and he was about to send to Massachusetts, initially just because there was a miscommunication. But other than that, he fixed it up in a timely manner. We were able to fix the error. They were there in a timely manner and I was really informed. And then, the driver was really flexible. I appreciate the service. The only problem right now is I was told that there was gonna be a $100 rebate and I haven’t received that, and I haven’t been informed of anything of that. But I like the price of Sherpa. They told me it was 850 total and that was the fixed price. There weren't any hidden fees.

    I looked at about 3 different auto transport companies when I moved from Texas. I didn’t wanna go through the hassle of doing big time research so when I saw that Sherpa was highly recommended by other people, I went for it. The customer service representatives were very kind. My mom speaks Spanish and they were able to get a hold of a Spanish representative, which was kind of them. Also, if I left them a voicemail, they would get back to me even on Sundays and it was cool that they work on Sundays. Compared to the other shipping companies, their quote was a little bit more on the expensive side, but it didn’t bug me ‘cause, in a way, it guaranteed a safe travel for my car. They have a good reputation and I didn’t mind paying for it.

    They picked up the car 3 or 4 days before the expected pick up date and they also dropped it off 3 or 4 days earlier, which wasn’t bad. The delivery driver was in a hurry to get somewhere, so he dropped it off on my work time. I had to get out of work and get an extra break, but it was cool ‘cause my car has an issue that if I don’t use it every day, it won’t turn on and I have to recharge it. He recharged it and that was cool of him.

    The experience was amazing. We shipped the vehicle for about 2600 miles from Kentucky all the way to Washington State and we looked at five companies. But just from talking to the representative of Sherpa, we decided to go with them. These guys sound very professional. They gave us the quotes and it was exactly that much money -- no more, no less. However, we didn't know if it was gonna be cash or check. It would have been super awesome to know that ahead of time because when we got here, we didn't have anything. We had to call a couple of people to pull out the money.

    We are so very pleased with the transport of our son's truck from Virginia to Louisiana. After waiting on another company for a complete month, we made contact with Sherpa on a Tuesday afternoon, had the entire process explained to us in great detail, quoted a price, and confirmed later that night that we would use Sherpa. Wednesday, Sherpa contacted us that they had a driver, that driver picked up the truck on Thursday night, and it was in Louisiana at noon on Saturday! Sherpa did in 5 days what the other company couldn't get done in a month!

    Everyone from the initial contact at Sherpa to the driver for NOD Transportation was professional and very helpful. I wish I could remember the guy's name at Sherpa we dealt with because he was so helpful. We watched the driver unload and reload his carrier with several cars and our son's truck. He was nothing but careful and very meticulous about the whole process. I don't think he understood a lot of English but we got along and he always had a smile on his face.     I wanted to move a 30-year-old little sports car from my home in New Mexico to my second home in Arizona and I didn’t wanna drive it that far. I went online and picked a company of them and found out that the minute you go online for anything to do with auto-transport, you get contacted by dozens of companies. Sherpa's quote was a little higher than most of the others. I tried to get the best deal I could get and I ended up getting a deal with a $100 gift card. With the gift card, they were still 20% higher than most of the rest, but they got good reviews, which was why I went with them. Because it’s obviously a cutthroat business. Their IT person really needs some work to do though. I kept getting notices of the same message over and over. And I was figuring out why I could not reply. However, the delivery guy was where he was supposed to be, both picking up and dropping off.

    I researched 16 companies in depth and I did a lot of talking. My husband and I narrowed the list down to a few that we talked to even further, and some of it was because they had good Better Business Bureau ratings. We picked Sherpa and they were excellent. We spoke with Chris and the only thing that frustrated me was that he said if we called back, there wasn’t a direct line to talk to him, and so I felt a bit shaky about, “Oh, no. If something is not right, we’re gonna talk to somebody who wasn’t in on the ground deal.” But it really didn’t matter as it didn’t matter who we talked to and they knew what they were doing.

    I liked the fact that Chris offered upfront to give us the DOT number and the phone number for the driver ‘cause my husband does transportation claims for a living, and that was really important to him. We got the motor carrier number and got all of that the minute they found somebody. Then we had it shipped later than we wanted because it was extra money right around the holidays. They were gonna charge more because truckers were charging more. So, we got it as soon as that was over. But he just gave us a high level of confidence. In giving all of that information upfront, we felt like if we wanted to call the driver and say, “Where are you?” We could.

    We wanted them to pick up the car on a Monday, and they didn’t have a driver yet and we were really nervous about that. But Tuesday, they called and they had one. And the driver was really courteous and careful. Then, we were all here when the car got here, and it was ZAZA Transport that transported it. Sherpa did exactly what we wanted to in the exact time frame and everything went really well. We’ve never done this before, so we were a little bit wondering, “Are we doing the right thing?” And they did great. We really liked them, and I would trust them again. I would even refer them.

    I was moving and I looked up five companies to ship my Honda Elantra. I liked that Sherpa would contact me constantly, but the other companies didn't respond to me quickly. So I thought that maybe if there would be any problem, I can contact Sherpa and they would respond to me as soon as possible. I could talk to anyone so easily and quickly.

    The quote was a little higher than other companies, but I didn't mind because Sherpa's service was as good as the price. The transport took only four days. It was faster than I thought and it was a great experience. They used a big truck and it couldn't come to my new place, so I had to walk to a little bigger road. The driver was good. The car was dirty but it was in good condition. Then when I did my car wash, the guys reimbursed it. It was very small but it was a very detailed and thoughtful service. Sherpa made my work easy. Everything was so simple and they answered all my questions. If I had to transfer my car again, I would use them.

    I bought an SUV out of state and I wanted it transferred to my house. I liked Sherpa's price, and when I called, the person I dealt with seemed professional, and I had a good impression with the company. I got four quotes, and Sherpa was the second-lowest. It was a good quote. It took about 12 hours for them to deliver my SUV. They said it would probably be delivered the same day. The driver didn’t get here until like 10 o’clock at night, but it was still the same day. It wasn’t a big deal. The car was perfect. I didn’t see any changes at all. The driver was very nice, too. I paid him in cash, and I accidentally gave him an extra $100 bill, and he counted and returned it to me. And that was nice to see these days.

    Sherpa's response time was very quick and efficient. It was fantastic customer service. They had called and emailed to let us know every step of the way. We had our vehicle shipped for 1,200 miles and it took three days, so the shipping time was okay. The driver texted me directly and it was super easy. They actually surprised us and were able to drop it off right in front of our house. We didn’t even have to go get the car. It was fantastic.     I needed to transport a car in a short time frame from Massachusetts to Arizona.     I had called another company to get a preliminary quote on shipping, and it was more than what Sherpa had quoted me. I'm in South Carolina and the gentleman I spoke to who was stationed in North Carolina seemed very genuine and sincere, and that made me trust him. And then, I also got some more reviews online and I've seen many good experiences with Sherpa. The gentleman called me back, and we talked. The first company that I called kept trying to push me to make a decision or to do something.     I had my car transported about 700 miles. Everything fell in the timeline.     I did a little bit of research before I picked Sherpa. They were in the top five of the best companies to use. Then I reached out to a couple of colleagues that actually moved or relocated from state to state and I asked if anybody had used a transport company. One of them did and they happened to transport cars on a regular, and Sherpa was one of the companies that they used on a regular.

    I shipped a car to my son on Cannon Air Force Base. It was a military transport, so it was a fairly quick move. Shane whom I spoke with did a great job as far as explaining the step by step and what to expect and how to expect it. When the transport company reached out to me, they gave me a time window for the car to be ready and picked up. After they picked up, the gentleman came. He was fast and efficient. He took pictures. I took pictures. We signed the bill while waiting. We spoke about his timeline and he was about accurate. We both knew a little bit of what was involved as far as transporting the car from here to Mexico. And then he was ready to drop the car off.

    He reached out to my son. Same thing, he was quick and efficient like when I met him to drop the car off. He was ready to drop the car and he didn’t have to move or adjust anything. Same thing, he took pictures, took pictures of the billing and signed off and delivered the car. They picked up on the 11th and they dropped off on the 17th. They told me I was gonna get a $100 rebate if I sent them all my billing and inspection report, but I didn’t receive that yet. I was trying to give them a two or three-week window, ‘cause business is business. But I’m probably gonna give them a call by the end of this week.

    I was traveling to another part of the United States from home, for a length of time, and I needed to have my car with me.     We needed to relocate a car to a place where we had a garage to keep it. I did quite a bit of research. This transport business is full of people who are difficult to work with because people do not give you the straight information about what is going on and how things are charged and how things are organized. So, I called several companies, and every time, I was learning something new until I finally found out what are the rates, who decides on what, what’s the service the brokers provided, who the brokers are, and all of that stuff. Then after calling about 8 to 10 people, I found out how the system worked. And then, I just took care of myself and negotiated on what I learned and I found that Sherpa Auto Transport was very straightforward. They had a good reputation, which was important to me, and so I decided to go with them.

    I was satisfied with the price that was quoted, the way everything went and the way I communicated in particular, which was one of the things I read a lot about people having a hard time to communicate with the company. It all worked out very well for me, so I’m very happy. The broker that I talked with was very nice and answered all my questions. I knew what questions to ask at that point in time and the range that I was willing to accept. I wasn’t looking for getting the absolute cheapest. I was looking for somebody I could trust and that was reputable. I got a decent price on it, but I didn’t know if that was the absolute rock-bottom. But Sherpa's price seemed fair, so I got that. I was happy with it and that person met that price easily, and there were no problems. I had a very good agent.

    Our delivery situation was a bit complicated because I’m operating out of North Carolina, but the car was in the suburbs of Atlanta, and it had to be delivered in New Mexico, and I wasn’t there at the delivery. And so, it was all done by phone and there was a bit of a hiccup at the beginning because I was told that the driver would come at a certain time. But we didn’t hear from him, and so I started calling around. And then I finally understood that he was not in Atlanta when I had thought he might be in Atlanta at that time. So, he still had to fill up his truck. When I understood that, I talked to his people at that office, the dispatcher, and they explained that to me. We were very patient. He was supposed to come on a Saturday and he came first thing Monday morning. But we were the last to be loaded on the truck because I was told that it would take four days, and it did. We were the last in and the first out, the way their schedule worked out.

    The delivery driver was very good. I got a lot of email information from Sherpa to do this and that, and we did that, took all the pictures and sent them by email to everybody. It was done very well because my son was at the beginning when they loaded it up, so he took a bunch of pictures with his phone and then sent me the pictures. I forwarded them to where the guy was gonna be at the exit, and then he knew what to do. It was an old car, so there were some issues with it, but nothing happened to the car that was Sherpa’s fault.

    I was very satisfied Sherpa. I did my homework. I just wished I had learned a couple of things earlier on. For instance, I was concerned about this business of paying in cash at the other end, and nobody thought to tell me all you have to do is just go to your bank and then FedEx the check. It just seemed like a simple thing, but I read a lot of people who were complaining about, “Why do I have to pay in cash? And you have to do this and that.” This worked out very well for me because I just went to my bank once I knew what the amount was, and then I mailed it out. And of course, I learned on the way that some drivers want to be actually paid in cash. But the drivers are selected to be working, so it was made through the company that the driver was driving, which was fine with me. I didn’t know at the beginning. So, Sherpa should tell their brokers to suggest that to people when they don’t know what to do.

    Most people don’t understand how the system works, and I think it would be to your advantage to be really above ground. When I started out, I did not understand that the people who I was talking were brokers. I did not understand that you posted the trip on some sort of a board where the drivers are and that you sort out those drivers as they come in according to your criteria. I was not aware of what is Sherpa's commission and what is the commission of the people who drive. But little by little, I learned all of that, the price per mile and shipping. My shipping, I could not have gotten it more than $450. There wouldn’t be any driver who do that. I’ve met all kinds of people on the way. I’ve met some very nice people and some people who were trying to push me into making a decision that I wasn’t ready to make. But not at Sherpa. By the time I reached them, I understood the system well enough that it was smooth sailing at that point in time.

    First of the auto Transportation niche is an absolute disaster for someone who does this every 10 years. It's a very SHADY industry. That being said Sherpa stood out far above the rest. Although they are a bit more expensive. They have excellent communication skills from sales to the time your vehicle arrives. They are very upfront and honest. In the industry they are in they are miles ahead of most when it comes to integrity. For the common person who doesn't ship cars across the country very often, I would hands down recommend Sherpa to anyone. Yep you pay a little more but the it's well worth it. Do your research.     When my daughter needed to ship her Mini Cooper from Miami to California, she did a whole ton of research as far as reviews went for car transport companies. Sherpa came up very high on everybody’s list so she used them. And she was delighted. We had used Roadrunner before and they were okay, then all of a sudden, we had one really nasty, horrible driver so we will never use them again. We’ve used Sherpa a couple of times now and they have done a great job of vetting the drivers.

    We had them ship a little electric car from Colorado to Miami. It has a canvas top, so we had to ship it enclosed. And Sherpa was about 60% of the previous company we had used.     My son moved back here to help take care of his grandma. He flew out here and had his car transported because flying back there then driving his car back would have been a lot more expensive. We looked at 10 to 15 transport companies, then we chose Sherpa because they gave us a guaranteed final price. I’m very happy with what it cost. Their rep was very clear and complete about pricing and how the whole thing works. We decided we give a half down upfront and then they locked down a driver. My son then talked directly to the driver from there.

    From the time the driver picked up the car to the time he dropped it off, they said it was enough for two days, but it took three days because he got caught up in a snowstorm. But he called me right away and he was really good about making sure he kept the line of communication open.     Our transaction with Sherpa Auto Transport was a little complicated because we had some repairs made to the 2008 Lexus and we were going on vacation. However, they were very patient and understanding that we couldn't make a decision really fast. They stayed with us and we were very impressed with the way they handled the situation. The driver didn't speak a whole lot of English, but he was pretty good. To find a place where we could load the car, we didn't go to the original place. That didn't work. But everything worked out.     I needed to get my daughter’s car to her to University of Arizona. My daughter did the research and Sherpa was very transparent on pricing. They gave me a set price and they said that’s what it would be. In the end, it sure was. Sherpa transported the vehicle over 2,000 miles from upstate New York to Tucson, Arizona. The gentleman that picked up the car that day that it was scheduled to be picked up, called and let us know where he was every step of the way. He was a little late because he was coming from Massachusetts and there was some traffic delays. He kept us informed every two hours letting us know where he was and what time we could expect him to be here to pick up the vehicle.

    The vehicle was great upon its arrival. Sherpa exceeded our expectations. They set some clear expectations and they never swayed from them.     We moved from Pennsylvania to California and looked at three transport companies for the car. We then decided on Sherpa based on the ratings and comments out there and the way I was treated when I called them to get a quote. Their customer service representatives on the phone were very good. They gave me a reasonable and competitive quote. They also locked it in for a period of time because we were not sure when exactly we were going to ship the car. And when the driver picked it up, he gave us a window and delivered it on the last day of the window. He called to let me know when he was gonna be there ahead of time on both ends, and he was on time based on what he gave me. He also communicated regularly about any delays, and there was a one-day delay from his original time. Still, it was very good. The delivery took seven days and there was no damage to the vehicle at all.

    Sherpa gave me a good quote. When I called them, the person whom I dealt with answered every question that I could have. I would hang up and think of 10 more then I'd call back. She was never upset that I kept asking everything. I went with them and they gave me a time for pick-up. The moving crew called and told me that they were an hour out. When they got to my location, they loaded the truck and analyzed it well. They then told us an arrival time and by the time we got out to the destination, they were there the next day. They kept in touch with us the whole time too. With Sherpa, it cost me 1,050 to ship my vehicle. The cost for me to drive the vehicle would have been more. If I drive from Florida to California, that would cost me money for gas, lodging and food as well. So, we flew instead and our car came and picked us up.

    I transported two cars with Sherpa from Maryland to Utah. In both occasions, their reps were super attentive and helpful. They walked me through the process. There was a bit of a lag time when I made the request as they had to go out and contract the driver but still they kept me in the loop. I wasn’t in a situation where I felt as though I had questions that weren’t being answered and didn’t understand the process.

    I was transporting a vehicle about 900 miles and I asked my assistant to do some research on which company was the highest-rated. Sherpa's name came up as one that was well-thought-of and highly rated. And even though they were rated high, they weren't priced way above some of the others. My assistant set it up then I had some follow-up conversation with them. I was pleased with the service and I would recommend Sherpa.

    If there was anything that could be improved, it would be from the time that I contracted with them and provided a credit card to the time that I actually heard from a driver. That spanned several days and I had to contact them to check on the status rather than them providing me a status update. I wasn't that pleased with it. When you provide someone a credit card, particularly in this day and age, and you don't hear something for a while, you get a bit nervous and a bit suspicious on what's going on. When I did reach them, they said it wasn't unusual for me not to hear from them or to have the trip picked up until it got closer to the date I wanted the car picked up. But that wasn't something that was explained to me upfront so I expected to hear something a little sooner.

    On the other hand, the delivery was great. The company that ended up taking the trip was one that Sherpa had not worked with that frequently. But the thing that I really appreciated about the driver was that he called and told me what time he was going to be at my address to pick up the automobile. Then he was there exactly at that time. He loaded the automobile and took off. He also told me approximately when he would be in the Atlanta area. The automobile was going in a suburb of Atlanta and he notified my family on that end of the day and time that he'd be delivering. Once again, he was right on time. He had also taken several pictures and really examined the car so that he could make note of the condition of the car when he was picking it up and it was delivered in great condition so we were very pleased with the company.

    I needed to transport a 2014 Ford Focus for my son. I checked out Sherpa, and I liked the enthusiasm, eagerness and sincerity projected by the customer service representative whom I spoke to. She was extremely motivated to help me whereas the other company whom I spoke with acted like it was just his job and that he had to do things. Sherpa's rep is a keeper. She was extremely knowledgeable as well. I asked her for how long they have been in business, who owned Sherpa and whether they were connected to the Better Business Bureau. She had mentioned to me that they had not received that rating because they have not been in business long enough to see.

    Even so, the rep spoke very highly of the company and told me how that the owner had bad experiences in the past and that he had to use transport services for vintage or antique vehicles. The owner figured that something needed to be done about the transport system so he decided to start his own company. She called me back when I asked her to call me because a couple of times I wanted to reach out to my brother to get a feel. That time, I was in-between babysitting and she was very patient. She was never bothered by the fact that I had a reason or an excuse. She told me that she would call whenever I wanted her to call back.

    I had the Focus transported a little over 2,000 miles to Arizona through them. My brother was the one paying for the move and I had to get a quote that was reasonable. I compared prices and though Sherpa's cost was a little more than what other companies were charging, we got what we paid for. The customer service of Sherpa was outstanding and that's what sold my brother.

    My son is an engineer and works all over the US. He’s working in North Carolina and his truck is in Scottsdale where his base is. His job is being extended until December, so he wanted his truck. So, I was shipping it for him. I Googled Sherpa online and I went to the Better Business Bureau. I checked ratings and I checked comments off of there. Also, they were based in North Carolina and that's where I needed the truck to go, so I thought that their home base would be a draw too, that if anything did go wrong, they would be there and my son would be able to contact them.

    The reps at Sherpa were all great, even the dispatcher. They followed up on me and kept me informed of what was going on and where it was, and when the driver would call. They gave me the driver’s number. Rico, the driver, would call or I called him because halfway across the country, I was handing the truck off to have him start contacting my son instead of me. He was very professional, knew what he was doing, and picked the truck up and was in and out of there. Since my son's truck was going the farthest, he moved a couple of trucks and it was really protected. If my son wanted to get the truck washed after he got it, Sherpa offered that he could turn in his receipt. I will use them again.

    I was moving from New York to Arizona and when I looked at the reviews online, Sherpa's weren’t perfect, but some of them were a lot worse. I had no complaints with Sherpa. They weren’t the cheapest, but they were the ones that had the best reviews. Sherpa’s quote was higher than anybody else, and so, I had reservations about it but it was worth it. Considering that the service was good, it was delivered on time, everybody we dealt with was respectful and knowledgeable, I would pay the money again. I wouldn't look for a bargain that might have more disastrous results. Sometimes, you have to pay for the quality service and the reputation. I would definitely recommend Sherpa.

    When you make a cross-country move, there’s a lot involved, and Sherpa made it very easy and it was a very smooth transition. So, I was happy with them. Sherpa delivered the car when they said they would. I needed it by that Friday and they had it there by that Friday, and I had it delivered at a family’s house because I wasn’t flying in until Saturday. That way, they could drive the car out to my house. Plus, the driver was quick and polite.

    Sherpa had a guaranteed price, and the ratings weren’t really high on anybody that I looked at, but the ratings on theirs were higher than anybody else. Everything was good with their service representatives as well. I was moving a vehicle from Ocala, Florida to Hagerstown, Maryland. It was owned by my aunt, and she had passed away so I needed to get it up here so I could sell it. The driver was nice, did a good job, and the car came without problems. It was clean, no more damage to it, and no more marks. They came on time too. Everything worked well.

    When you're researching car transport companies, there are more bad reviews than good. Before choosing a transport company I researched, ConsumerAffairs, the BBB, and various other sites, as no one except a customer can accurately rate any organization. I had my vehicle transported from VA to NYC. I had various requirements, specifically time frame and the hours the car could be retrieved for transport. From my initial phone call with Phil, until my car was delivered was smoother than I ever expected; particularly with the horror stories I had read I was apprehensive to say the least.     My son is in the military and we needed to transport his vehicle from Nevada to Colorado. I was looking on the BBB site and I came across the top 10 transport companies and Sherpa was one of them. The rep I spoke with was good because I was gonna go with the other company, which was a bit cheaper. However, I had issues with them. They were telling me some stories and I was really frustrated with them because they cannot guarantee the amount that we are gonna pay when the truck gets there. So, I called Sherpa and I told the rep the story and she fully explained how the process works for auto transport.

    The quote Sherpa provided me was a bit more, but it worked out well. The Sherpa rep guaranteed, "I'm gonna give you this amount, and this is all you're gonna pay." They weren't that much higher than the quotes I got so I went with them. The delivery was quick. My son got it almost the very next day and he said there was no issues in delivery.     I needed to ship a BMW for about 1,400 miles. Sherpa had good reviews so I chose to hire them and the rep I dealt with answered all my questions. The quote they gave me was on the higher side of all the quotes that I’ve gotten, but not to the point where I wasn’t gonna go with them. In the end, it was the same amount I paid for their service. During the delivery, they called, picked up the car when they said they were gonna pick it up, and said that they were gonna drop it off six days later. But they dropped it off three days sooner. The driver brought it to where I work instead of my house because I was working at the time, so it was not really a big deal. Plus, the car was as clean as it was when he left, so it wasn’t dirty at all.

    I live in Southern Illinois, and we were looking for a particular model and type of car for my son. The only 2012 Buick Regal that we could really find with low miles was in South Carolina, at a dealership, so we ended up purchasing the car from there and needed it shipped back home. I got online and started researching different transporters and talked to four or five different ones. I went on the Better Business Bureau website and looked up Sherpa, and there was absolutely no complaints against them. There were lots of complaints about every other transporter that I looked at, so that's why I went with Sherpa.

    Sherpa's rep, Jay, was awesome and straightforward with me, and I had no complaints. The quote that was provided was good. I told them that I was shopping around, and that they were a little bit on the high side compared to some of the other transporters. And he sweetened the deal by offering a $50 Visa card that I could get later after the transaction was done. They got it down to the same price as the competition, and so, I went and did that. I got the card in the mail a couple of weeks later, and it worked out perfectly as advertised.

    As for the driver, he called me a couple of different times. He called me when he picked the car up, and then he called me when he was getting close to being here at my hometown. He let me know where he was at, and that was perfect and just what I needed because I work during the day, so I wanna make sure it worked out on the timing. As a matter of fact, he had an enclosed trailer that I didn't even have to pay extra for.

    I recently moved from California to New Jersey, and naturally I needed to get my car across the country for the move. I was very nervous to ship my car, since the car is only a 2017 and in very good condition. When I realized I had no other option to ship the car, I looked into a lot of companies, but ultimately ended up going with Sherpa - and I am glad that I did.

    Once I submitted my quote request, a salesperson called me immediately to follow up, and answered all of the many questions I had. He was completely frank with me about the benefits and disadvantages of open vs. closed shipping, and steered me (rightfully so) to go with the better priced open shipping. He gave me all the directions to get the shipping set up, and was very helpful throughout the process. I submitted my shipment request on a Sunday evening, and I received a phone call on Monday to confirm everything for me - the pickup window (which was only three days after I called it in), transportation company (since they are the middleman), and drop-off information.

    The company, Umbrella Auto Transport, was wonderful. They called me and picked up the car exactly when they said they would, and much earlier than I anticipated they would. The driver was very cautious about loading my car up onto the tow truck, and even encouraged me to take before photos for my sake. After that, I waited to hear back, which only took 6 days. They picked up the car on a Wednesday, and my car was delivered in the exact same condition, safely and easily dropped off the following Tuesday. They even pushed my drop-off time because an issue came up with work. I was beyond impressed by the ease of the process and the speed and professionalism of all of the workers.     We are moving out of state from New York to Tennessee, and we had vehicles to ship. We used Sherpa Auto Transport because of the positive reviews. The customer service reps at Sherpa were diligent. I didn’t hear much from the beginning to shipping because there was a few weeks in between. So, I had gotten a little nervous. I called myself and they reassured me that once everything got closer, I would hear from them, and I did. And they contacted via email. Once I had a driver, it was a lot easier to get information.

    Moreover, the quote that they provided was fair. And what I paid was almost exact. The driver picked up on a Friday and I got it on Thursday morning, so the transport took about a week. But the driver did have a problem with his own transport vehicle, so it was delayed overnight, which wasn’t a problem because it was local. He was already in Nashville, Tennessee and had told me what was going on and sent pictures of everything that was going on, just assuring me that the car was safe. I was very happy with the service. I would consider using them again if I had to. I’m hoping I don’t have to because a big move like that is a lot of work, but I would definitely recommend their name to anybody who is interested or needed a car transport.

    My experience with Sherpa Auto Transport went really well. I’ve sent in my paper for my rebate, but I never got my $100 Visa card that was supposed to come back. I moved across the country from Delaware to California and had them transport my Chevrolet. They offered the best price and their reviews weren’t crazy bad. And the customer service rep was really nice. She always followed up with me. I was impressed that she was too kind and kinda was very sympathetic about me never doing this before. And she was very patient with me, very reassuring, and made sure that I was good to go with the pick-up and drop-off.

    My wife and I gave our granddaughter a car as a graduation present. The car wasn't much per se as far as a classic vehicle but it was super important that we had to get it to Wisconsin because she was going to college. So, we had to ship the car 1,503 miles from one door to the other door. We looked at 16 different companies and I went to the Better Business Bureau to find the top three. After I went to the top three, I didn't wanna go with the most expensive one nor did I wanna go with the least of the top three. I then put it in prayer and went with number two, which was Sherpa.

    And when I spoke to them, I knew that my search was over. I thought I was talking to somebody who was my long-time friend and neighbor. Also, after going through every one of all those 16, they were not as helpful as Sherpa's reps. Since I've never had a car delivered, I didn't even know what questions to ask. So, I asked Sherpa's reps to educate me. Customer service is educating me on the questions that I didn't even know of how to ask and then go from there. And when I got educated, it made me feel even more comfortable for making the decision to go with Sherpa.

    The carrier driver's story was unique as well. This wonderful country is made up of immigrants like my parents were and this young man was from the Ukraine. It was gonna be a holiday and I asked him what he was gonna do for the holiday. He said that this country has been so good to him that all he wanted to do was have a cookout with his family and neighbors. And he intended to stay home because of their work ethics. He said that he wants to do everything he can to work hard, save money, and spend family time. The reflection of this young man showed it because I went over there to his cab of the tractor and I saw how immaculate it was as well as the trailer itself. And when he got down and before he took off, he walked around his trailer with a red shop towel and made sure everything was spick and span.

    All in all, Sherpa wasn't just an outfit who would be glad to take your money. On the contrary, they were an absolute blessing and I've recommended them to a friend. Other than that, my neighbor's friend came over and said that he has an enclosed trailer that could take our car over there to Wisconsin for us. But I told him that a wonderful company by the name of Sherpa did it for me. When he asked how much I was charged and I told him, he said that he couldn't have even competed with that. But I told him that he didn't even have the reputation to compete. I also said that Sherpa did the transport in no time. They took off on a Saturday morning and Monday morning before 9 o'clock, they were there. The carrier driver said that he knows the area and that my family lives within 50 miles from his house. He even said that he'd have had breakfast before he makes it right there to go drop off the car.

    I used Sherpa Auto to transport my two cars from Chicago to Washington. I spoke with Crimson and she was able to explain everything to me, including the fact that Sherpa is a broker and that they're gonna put the cars out and the driver will pick the highest price. I felt that she was telling me the truth. Also, the reps are always willing to help. I called them right after the cars have been delivered and a couple of times again to follow up. I should have been connected to the rebate department and the carwash but then the person who answered the call assisted me. It was a great interaction.

    The quote they gave me was 100% accurate. They have the guaranteed quote where even if the price changes, I'm still gonna be paying what Crimson quoted me. At least, I have a peace of mind knowing that I'm not gonna go over that price. Also, although the price was a bit on a higher end, I was given $100 rebate plus carwash so it ended up almost the same with the other companies.

    Then I was advised by the driver, who was very nice as well, that when he picks up the two cars, it will take around five days and it did.     When I was looking for someone to transport my sedan, I looked in the reviews of Sherpa at different places and most of the time, they had really good reviews at one place and crappy ones in other places so that made me think that something was fishy. There were only two companies that had good reviews across all the platforms that I researched and the way they both operated was slightly differently. But the person I spoke to in Sherpa seemed more honest and transparent than the other person from the other company so I decided to go with Sherpa.

    I called Sherpa and told them that I wanted to ship to the West Coast. I asked them to give the estimate and they did. It was pretty simple and straightforward. I also asked the rep about why these different companies operate differently. Other companies had promised me that if I pay some extra, they'll give me a guarantee about the rate, of pick up and all those things. But the Sherpa rep said that this will never happen. He seemed more honest and forthcoming. I only spoke to him once but he convinced me enough that I went for it.

    They then gave me a 1,500 quote which was slightly more than the 1,100 quote of another company. The other company said they were gonna give out the bid to other dirvers and see if it sticks. If it doesn't, they'll go up and up and everything will be done by 1,500 because that was a fair market price. Sherpa starts at 1,500 and they'll go up till somebody selects it. The rep said that if somebody is paying a driver 1,200 and they get another offer for 1,500, they will drop the 1,200 offer and I will end up at the last moment looking for someone who will drive my car. So I paid slighly higher for the sense of security that I know my car will be shipped and will be delivered.

    For the most part, everything was okay but the driver kept on postponing the time when he'll come and pick it up. In the end, my cousin had to spoil his day and dropped my car. He was pretty accurate on time. The rep told me that when my cousin drops my car off, he will be given a bill. He asked me to make sure my cousin takes a picture of it and send the picture over. I will need that picture to get my car. But my cousin said he never got anything and when I asked for that piece of paper, they said they would email him but they did not.

    The Hot Wheels transport company did not give the bill and that made me a little bit worried for some time. Drivers can give me an estimate but they never show up on time. That I understand and I don't blame them for that. But they should change the fact that I didn't have any receipt that they had my car. I told them that as well. They probably don't think it's a big deal but for someone who is giving their car away, they don't know if they'll ever get the car back. I knew that they won't run away with my car and I had Sherpa behind my back. If something would've happened, I would call them. Fortunately, the driver did show up with my car and everything was fine but the part that I was not given a receipt was not good. Other than that, people were really good. In fact, I recommended Sherpa to a couple of people.

    I needed to relocate a car from the east coast to South Texas and I looked at six transport companies. The cost to use a closed carrier versus an open carrier for the car was the biggest determining factor that I decided to use Sherpa. The cost was good enough to decide to go to a closed carrier. The other factor was that all the reviews I read were all positive. The customer service rep was polite, was really quick on getting me a response and everything was not intended to keep me waiting. So, I liked that. No “I’ll call you back tomorrow” or any of that stuff.

    I was given an estimate, ballpark of some time, of a Tuesday arrival. It actually arrived on Wednesday, but getting me that close was very helpful. The driver, Dmitri, called ahead, asked about access to the delivery point, was very polite and called me same day, about two hours before, which I found very helpful. The car was secured with straps, not chains, which was one of the things I was after for the car I got was kinda fragile. Dmitri was also extremely patient. He wasn’t in a hurry. He moved businesslike, but he didn’t act like he was just trying to unload the car and move on. He gave me the impression that he was handling the car with care. I thought that was important. It was pleasure doing business with Sherpa and I’d do it again if we ever go through a similar circumstance.

    I was taking my kiddo to College and he didn’t wanna drive the Toyota Camry. I asked friends about transport companies and then I narrowed it down to seven before I went to Better Business Bureau. When I went there, a few of the companies were good, but the reason that I chose Sherpa was the guaranteed price 'cause the more I read, the more that people were angry about was the pricing.

    I did it way in advance and so nothing happened for months. I was nervous and hoping that they didn’t forget me. Then I got a call from a really nice guy who said that he'd personally make sure that it would all go fine and it did. He was amazing. The driver that picked up the car and dropped it off was just kind and family, and it was 100% customer service oriented. I think if I had asked him for something, he would have jumped through hoops to make it happen.

    The car was in excellent condition when it was delivered. What was funny is that I took the mileage from the time he put it on the truck to the time we picked it up and it didn’t move an inch. So, I don't even think he unloaded it. And even when he met with me, he put my car on the front because maybe it was just the way he was loading and unloading stuff. But I don’t think he ever had to take my car off the truck. The whole experience was nice. I would use Sherpa again and would be happy if I could even ask for that guy again as well.

I looked at a number of reviews online, and the Better Business Bureau rating for Sherpa was high with significantly more positive reviews than some of the other companies. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone who gave me an estimated quote, which turned out to be the accurate quote. Then, we corresponded by email, and then I called to make the final arrangements. Their price was a little bit higher estimate than other companies by a few hundred dollars. But because of the positive feedback that had been given by others, it justified the additional cost. The estimated transport was five to eight days. It would have been seven days, but there was some difficulty with the transport that was going to bring the part to my daughter's new residence, so it was eight days. I was very, very pleased.

    The person who helped me set everything up was great. She explained everything clearly. The timing or pick-up of the vehicle and the process of how it was done versus the other places that I spoke with made sense. I was leaving the country so I sort of needed everything to go smoothly. I spoke with four places including Sherpa and she was the only one who actually explained it. The quote that I was given versus what I paid in the end were exactly the same. It took a week to get everything from Phoenix to Atlanta and that was what they told me to expect so it was right on time. Somebody else received the car on my behalf. When I finally got to the car, there's a scratch on the inside of the window which wasn't there before but nothing to the point that I had to replace the window or anything. There was no other damage.

    I looked at about five different transport companies but I liked that Sherpa Auto Transport was not a broker. The price that I was quoted was the same at the end. The final cost of service was much more expensive than other bids, but I went with them because I felt like my car would get here in one piece and not end up in Mexico. The driver was a very nice gentleman. As far as the vehicle, there was a couple places where the paint has come off but I'm gonna do touch-up paint. I'm not concerned about it at all. It's okay. And there were no dents. He was very careful with the car. I never had any qualms about when he picked my car up. I know it was in good hands.     I was selling my vehicle to my daughter. I live in North Carolina and she lives in Denver, Colorado, and I just dreaded the prospect of having to drive across country. When I factored in the cost of airplane tickets on both sides and then warranty on the car and motel bills, going with a shipping service was the most cost-effective way to transport the car.     Their driver, Sergei, was a wonderful gentleman. He was a very good communicator. He did a Google MapQuest and found a good point where I could take the car near my home at a local shopping center and meet him. There, he looked the car over and loaded it up. He told me exactly what he would be doing and that he would be in communication with my daughter in the Denver area. He did everything he said he would and I was very pleased. He delivered my vehicle in about 48 hours, which is wonderful, and the cost was exactly as quoted. Though there is supposed to be a Visa gift card coming my way, I haven't received that yet. Still, that's the only thing that's not completed with my transaction with Sherpa. Everything else has been done correctly.

    I was living in Pennsylvania and retiring to Arizona, and I had a house out here in Arizona. So we drove out one vehicle and we had Sherpa transport my wife's Acura RDX out. Our experience wasn't very good. As far as getting a truck lined up to come and pick up our auto, that part of it seemed to be okay. But the people they picked were not the best people to deal with. They were supposed to show up to pick up the auto, and they kept calling and kept delaying it out in Pennsylvania. Then finally, at 8 o'clock at night, they said, "Well, we're on overtime. We gotta have this picked up right away." And it was right in the middle of a rainstorm, thunderstorm and lightning, and they said, "Well, we can't come back to your location."

    There is a sign talked about local deliveries, but for what they were doing, it would've been fine. So they decided to pull their vehicle on a major highway and had us come over there at 8 o'clock at night. It's a very dangerous location. I had to go pick up my wife. Almost every time I wanted some information, I had to be the one initiating and calling these people. And then unfortunately, there was a little bit of communication issues with language too with the people I was dealing with.

    So then, when they came here to drop off the vehicle in Arizona, we were able to bring it right to the front of our house, which was nice. But when they want to take it off the vehicle, they had scratched the front bumper of the car. And these guys weren't the same guys that picked it up. They said they went and picked it up in some kind of lot somewhere where they had it dropped off. I had pictures that I took of the vehicle before I loaded it on there, so I had proof to point out. It was just a very small scratch on the front bumper, but it was something that they caused. So, I had said to Sherpa, "Hey, I need to go get this fixed. I feel like you should give me something back as a refund, even though if I can do the touch-up on this."

    I got to work a deal with them, and they gave me some cash back on the delivery. But with the whole experience with them, I would never get them again. And I'm not sure if Sherpa is always gonna be dealing with that group, but that was not a very happy experience. Also, I explained to Sherpa what had happened, but I never heard anything back from them either. The person that helped me schedule the delivery seemed to be very professional and seemed to explain things to me and how it normally works, and I didn't have any problem with that part of it.

    We had a car over in Virginia with my daughter going to college and she returned it back to California. Sherpa had the car shipped from Virginia to California. I looked at some of the reviews online and some fairly major organization had given them some good ratings. There were a couple of phone conversations and several emails that were all timely. They responded to calls that I made with the questions that I had and confirmed deposits. And also, they coordinated the actual driver and gave me a heads-up when the driver would be arriving and gave me their cellphone number so that I could contact the driver directly. They were good at coordinating everything. I really didn’t have any issues.

    Everything went smoothly, and the driver was great. He explained what went on, and he was very meticulous about the details on the car, doing an inspection, checking for preexisting damage, and delivering it. The car was dirty when I got it, but it had gone through several storms on the road. Sherpa gave me the option of paying for the carwash and reimbursing me for the carwash after. So, that was nice.

    I chose to move from New Jersey to Utah and decided to keep our automobiles. I was having them transported about 2,500 miles across the country and initially, I contacted a local truck driver but he said that he could not do it. Then I asked him about Sherpa and he recommended them. It was an unsolicited recommendation and that was impressive. Then the way the Sherpa rep handled the transport was top-notch and spot on.     I shipped two cars from South Carolina to Texas. I looked at two or three companies and went with Sherpa because of the reviews. Their quote was pretty much in line with the other quotes but when I read their reviews, it seemed to me that everybody who had had an experience with Sherpa, it was positive, whereas some of the companies I looked at, there were always one or two that were not compliments.

    Jessie was the one that helped me and she was outstanding and so was Antoine. What most impressed me about Jessie was that she explained everything to me so thoroughly. I never knew anything about the business of transporting cars and how it works, like the drivers bid and things like that. And she was so patient. She was just really good. But once the cars were delivered, we had a minor problem. My granddaughter who is 17 accepted the cars but didn’t know to get the bill of lading. It took a few phone calls and a couple of weeks before Antoine was able to get the bill of lading. One of Sherpa’s offers was that they would give me back a Visa gift card. It took a couple of weeks to get all that settled but it did eventually get settled. Everything was fine except the cars were dirty.

    I liked Sherpa's price guarantee. I liked their reputation, too. I checked them out on the internet and Better Business Bureau, and the price was always nice. The price was comparable to some of the others. And they’re local too. They're in North Carolina, and I’m in North Carolina. I had them ship my Impala and from beginning to end, it took them three days to do it which was not very long at all.     They used an auto transport company called Umbrella Auto transport. The driver Khurshed was extremely unprofessional and rude/threatening. I was getting better rates than Sherpa from several other companies but I chose them because of their claim of "highly vetted drivers". That is absolutely false. This driver was anything but "highly vetted".

    In addition, several dried dust patches were marked as "Dents" at the time of vehicle pickup. When I rubbed off a couple of them and showed it to the driver, he got angry and aggressive towards me. Those "dents" were not documented by size and all sides of my brand new car was documented as having "dents". Clever way to avoid any liability if the vehicle gets damaged during the transport.

    While Sherpa's customer support was very good, I am very unhappy with the car transport process. My vehicle wasn't damaged, but I paid them more money only to be treated poorly by their hired driver and with false documentation of "dents" just to save themselves from liability if the vehicle is dented during the transport. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this company to anyone.

    I shipped a Volkswagen across the country, about 3,000 miles. I coordinated all of this for my daughter and the thing that mattered the most to me was knowing when the car was gonna get picked up and when it was gonna get dropped off. But that was the thing that Sherpa couldn't tell me. That was the hardest part. My daughter had to move out of her house, get her car picked up and leave for NCAA Championships all in the same day. She had no flexibility and Sherpa couldn't give me any promise. There was a three-day timeframe but that was not what I wanted. I wanted a one-hour timeframe. I was frantic trying to figure out if they were gonna pick up her car the time when she was still in California. Everything had to be left open-ended and that was making me crazy.

    What was really interesting at the end was that my daughter was able to pick up her car on her flight. When she was moving to New Jersey, she actually went directly from the airport to some car lot in Trenton, New Jersey and she got her car. I couldn't make that plan in advance. The thing that was so hard for me was I couldn't make it happen the way I wanted to. It was completely chaotic. But it kinda worked out perfectly. Sherpa's quote had also been in line with some other quotes and the final cost matched the quote. The price was a bit high but the service was fine so I didn't mind paying it.

    I had to ship my two-door sedan from a great distance. It was roughly 2,600 miles and most of the consistent reviews of having the price locked were Sherpa's. You weren't gonna get surprised by additional pricing that wasn't already initially quoted. The customer service representative I dealt with was positive. The interaction was good, quick and efficient. The quote was competitive as well. There might have been less expensive ones but the car got here sooner than I anticipated so it's worth it to me. The final cost was also exactly what was initially quoted. The car didn't get quite delivered to my house because of my neighborhood so I had a different location. Nonetheless, the delivery experience was generally positive.

    I had two vehicles shipped at two separate times – the Ford and the Chevrolet Trailblazer. Both were shipped over 2,000 miles, from Tennessee to California. I have Hagerty Insurance on the older vehicle and I talked to them but whoever they recommended was extremely expensive. Then I found Sherpa online and read the reviews, which seemed to be all positive, so I went with that. I set it up to have both vehicles transported at the same time. But then I changed my mind. I only wanted the Chevrolet transported. I wanted to see how that went before I had the older vehicle transported. And Sherpa was extremely nice about that. They postponed it and every time I called, they knew that immediately. I guess my info came up on their screen. I didn’t have to explain to them what I wanted or needed. They were really good. Also, even though I postponed the one car for a couple of months, the quote never changed.

    Both drivers were extremely nice and professional. The first one was cross-country with the Trailblazer and I was actually gonna see if he could do the other car the next time he was in the area. But it turned out I wasn’t gonna be at home everyday like I had been. So I decided to just go ahead and stick to whoever Sherpa got to bring the older car. Both guys had to deal with my brother in Tennessee and then I met them here for the delivery. They were both really good. I wasn’t in a hurry for either car but they were always within the estimated time and when the vehicles arrived, they were both just as they were when they left Tennessee. I’d definitely recommend Sherpa.

    Used Sherpa to transport two cars from California to Texas. All seemed to go well the entire time, until we drove away with our cars in Texas. As soon as we drove away, the entire bottom of one of the cars fell off. The best part? We had signed off saying that there was no visible damage to the car, which means Sherpa is not liable. As soon as we realized there was major damage, the driver of the truck (who had been extremely responsive the whole time) ignored all of our attempts to contact him.

    Everything went well with Sherpa. I moved across the country and the transport for my 1982 Toyota Tercel was pretty quick. It took about a week and was a little faster than I was expecting. I looked at around 3 transport companies and Sherpa had better customer service reviews. And just from talking to them, I got a better vibe. I almost went with another company, but I've had bad experiences with auto transport in the past and it was pretty clear that this other company was shady, so I went with Sherpa.

    My experience with other companies is that they'll give you a really low price and then they won't be able to deliver on that so they'll just kinda walk you up until they get to something higher than what you originally agreed to. But with Sherpa, they were pretty upfront about exactly what it was gonna cost. It was exactly what they said and it seemed reasonable. I'd like to pay less, but it goes like 1,200 to ship the car. It's market-driven, so it costs what it cost to get someone to ship the car, and I was willing to pay it.

    When we moved from one state to another, I looked for other companies and Sherpa seemed to be offering a better price and better service. My overall experience with them turned out to be good. One thing which I was not at all happy with was about 2 weeks before I was supposed to get my cars moved, every time I would call, there was indefinite waiting time on the telephone. They would put me on hold and no live person answered the phone. It was a voice mail which will keep on repeating it. I had to hold for sometimes 30 minutes or 40 minutes. It was very, very frustrating and I was really upset with that. And it was not just one time. Every time I would call to find out the status of my car pickup, nobody would answer. I could never get to speak to anybody and that was the bad point. There were no customer service people. There’s a mechanical voicemail and that’s about it. With big effort, I had to find out somebody, a live person, who would give me some idea.

    Sherpa has to improve their customer service. Otherwise, they are going to lose customers. If my friends, or somebody asks me about Sherpa, I will definitely tell them about that. If they can put up with that horrible customer service, then the service is good, but not the customer service which I’m not happy with. That was terrible. But everything else after that, once my cars were picked up, was a pleasant experience. The truck driver was extremely polite. I’m happy with the way they transported my car and the quickness of the service. My cars reached my destination in 3 days and that part was very, very good.

    I was moving from Texas to Illinois and I looked at five different transport companies but I decided to go with Sherpa because of the reviews. Also, the quote was reasonable. It was $700 to ship the car and they were right in the middle. If I could find something that was $120 cheaper, I could also find something that was 300 more expensive. There is a new marketplace where you connect with people who ship things directly, so you cut out the middleman. That one could only do it $550, which means the middleman cost is about $150. So, that was not bad.

    Sometimes, I had to call a few times before I could get connected to a representative but when I got one, it was really good. The first customer service rep I spoke to was extremely helpful and she got it done. She hit the price point and it was pretty simple. The second one messed up in terms of dates but she was increasing my base price by $100 because I was trying to ship my car on Memorial Day weekend, which I wasn’t. It’s ridiculous that I was not able to convince her that it was the wrong weekend because when you think about it, it’s the Memorial Day. I had the date right in front of me. That didn't matter only because of the price guarantee. If they increase the price, they would have to put out the difference and they were the ones who were gonna end up losing money, not me. Now, they owe me a $100 rebate so if that doesn't come in, then the company is not that credible. But if it comes in, then it should be fine.

    The person who wound up shipping my car could have been a lot more professional. He was two days late. I was expecting the guy to show up at the desired time, pick up the car and then, it's done. Instead, the guy didn't show up and I didn't get any information. I had to call the person and the guy got a revised time. I was at the place and time where it was supposed to be picked up but he didn't show up. I called and texted again and asked if he was going to be here. He got a revised time and they did that two more times. Then finally, I got to give them my car. If it weren’t for the agreement in place and that I already signed something to say that it was the arrangement, there was a chance that I would have found someone else because that was ridiculous.

    It was understandable if he told me a certain date to pick up a car and he didn’t show up but then, he would have to tell me when he was actually gonna be here so that I didn’t have to just sit around and wait for him. I was accommodating my schedule to him every time he changed it and then, he was not fulfilling his end. So, that was the extremely frustrating part. I had to change the location of the pick up as well because it was late and he couldn’t pick up at my apartment anymore. I asked for a Sunday delivery. Then, when I finally met the driver in person and he picked up my car, he said they didn’t do Sunday deliveries. That was not what Sherpa said and I ended up going from the airport to go pick up my car at his place, which was fine. It wasn’t that inconvenient, but the original deal was for the car to be delivered to my hotel in Illinois, and that didn't happen. It was not what I bargained for, but we made it work.

    I would have liked to know the original arrangement before I signed. If there was no Sunday delivery and Monday was the option, that’s fine. However, changing the arrangement on the fly after things are agreed upon is not okay. Sherpa has got their drivers pretty well, so I expected this not to be the case when it comes to the driver that they end up using. Sherpa contracts and if you get someone to ship the car, you’re the middle person in case something happens. It means the value with Sherpa is their vetting procedure such as who they choose to ship cars, and if anything happens, they’ll take responsibility. Nothing happened, so I can’t gauge the responsibility part of things but as far as the vetting procedure part, I was expecting a better driver.

    I booked Sherpa Auto Transport given the numerous positive reviews and their reasonable price to ship my Kia Cadenza. However, the amount of dissatisfaction I have experienced forced me to write a review on Consumer Affairs (I usually don't review much). My order was placed on May 7, 2019, for shipping the above-said vehicle from Birmingham to Oklahoma City. The issue wanted them to schedule the move before I physically move out of Birmingham (6/27/19) and deliver the vehicle once I reach (6/28/19).

    I discussed these requisites with an agent over the phone and based on his recommendation, I requested the car to be picked up in the window of 6/24-6/26 and requested delivery of around 6/30 (to be on a safer side). Order placed and everything seemed great - I was told someone would call me a week prior to the pickup or once they find a driver for our car.

    Weeks go by and it is about 10 days before the pickup window. So I call Sherpa's customer service, and I am told that they have not yet found a driver but are sure they will find someone as the pickup date approaches. Given their reputation, I trust them completely and wait until the pickup window arrives. No notification from Sherpa on 6/24 or the next day. All my stuff has already been picked up and I am moving tomorrow in a different car, so I cannot drive this car myself.

    I called them yesterday morning and I was told that they still haven't found any driver to suit our needs. And they were paying 150$ upfront to a driver willing to accommodate our needs. I didn't understand how this was my problem if they were paying additional money upfront to a driver! Again, no reply until the evening and I call them to follow up - in vain. Today morning, I call them and the dispatcher says there is one driver who can pick up the car today, but the delivery will be tomorrow and the driver cannot keep the car until 30th. I requested to see if they can manage until I reach OKC on 6/28 (this was a compromise from my end already as my previous request was to deliver it on 30th), however, the dispatcher was adamant that this would not happen.

    We requested for the car to be picked up on 6/27/19 in the morning and deliver in on 6/28/19 in the afternoon (which would be pushing us at the edge to drive 700+ miles at a stretch, but I was willing to take that risk). However, he did not budge to that request. He told my wife that they can pick up the car on 6/27/19 evening and deliver on 6/28/19 evening - to which we asked if we can leave the car in the premises and they can pick it up. Obviously, this was not a feasible option for him.

    Before even discussing further options (for example us having another person handing them the car instead of us), the dispatcher (who also claimed to be the manager) arrogantly said he will cancel the order. When I asked him why he said since he is not able to meet our request. And then I asked him how can they just cancel the order without trying to find a resolution - his reply was "I have all the right to do so and you cannot do anything about it." I told him this was almost like harassing us at the last moment and his reply was - "How is this harassment, and even if this is I have all the right to do so."

    A couple of more verbal altercations with me swearing after which he conveniently disconnects the phone. Then I receive an email about the cancellation of my order. I then talk to the actual manager (apparently named Tim), who apologized and said he will take a look into the matter and audit as to what went wrong and why there was no communication from their end until the last day. I am just upset that positive reviews from other customers made me a bit gullible and trust Sherpa Auto Transport to take care of my required services. They seemed incompetent - despite having the order placed weeks in advance and despite me trying to compromise my comfort - they were not able to come to a resolution. A disastrous way to start our move to a new city and a new beginning already - but we will survive!

    I needed to send a car from California to my daughter in New York. I looked at about 3 companies and went with Sherpa because the reviews were good. I liked the price-lock guarantee and that’s the main reason I went with them. The driver was supposed to pick up the car at my apartment in San Francisco. He said he couldn’t come to San Francisco because of the size of his truck so I had to go meet him at a truck stop outside San Francisco. I got there about 15 minutes before he got there. There was somebody else waiting for him, and they needed to have their car moved, too. So, he attended to them, and after that he attended to me. He was a nice guy.

    The car got to New York earlier. They couldn’t go to Staten Island and said they would meet my daughter at Newark. My daughter went there at the time the driver said he was gonna be there but he did not show up. She ended up waiting at the mall for almost 4 hours and missed class before the driver finally showed up. Their cost was expensive, but Sherpa did it. I may have gotten it cheaper somewhere else. As a matter of fact, I had moved a car from Denver to Indiana. I used a company somewhere in Florida, and I was very happy with that. I had wanted to use them this time and I called them. They gave me a cheaper quote than Sherpa. They had the vehicle for two weeks, but they couldn’t find a driver.

    In the car-moving business, most of them will give you a quote and tell you that first of all, the time and the price are not guaranteed. It’s all within a framework. If they had told me, “Hey, he’s not gonna come to your apartment in San Francisco,” I would understand that. If they had told me that, “Hey, he’s not gonna to Staten Island,” I would understand that too. But the rep at Sherpa answered all my questions. He sent me a quote which I reviewed and liked. It took me some time to get back to him, but the book was guaranteed. The carrier ended up charging more and Sherpa did not charge me anymore. I did not pay anything upfront and Sherpa just dealt with the carrier directly. That was very honorable of them.

    On top of that, they gave me a rebate because I’m a civil servant and my daughter is a student. I got $100 Visa gift card sent to me after the fact. I would use Sherpa again. They were all good. They were better than anybody else that I had talked to. In fact, I was gonna use them again for another car but we ended up not moving the car.

    First time to ship an automobile in my life. Looking for excellent rating from BBB. Took a while to research because I want a reliable, honest company. Found Sherpa with A+ rating. Talked to a guy name Shane. Made me feel very relax because He is too friendly, courteous, well experience and very confident which made me feel comfortable during transaction.

    It didn’t take me too long to get my date I wanted to sent my car from Crestview, Florida to Denver Colorado. I gave Shane the date May 23rd I asked for and the driver arrived on that day I asked for. The dispatcher from the company assigned for me were incredible, the lady dispatcher were on top of informing me on date when the driver will come to pick my car. Also I’ve been receiving email from Sherpa information about facts what to expect during the time I will get the car till it arrived to my son's place. The drivers they hired were so experienced and courteous as well as the dispatcher. I asked the driver if I can put a little gift to my daughter in the trunk and it arrived safely. It took only 2 days to reach the destination as stated by Shane and the sweet drivers. Shane said the price of my shipment is about $1,550 and because I am in military dependent I think I got $50.00 dollars refund.

    I would say that this Sherpa company is really true, honest to what they say, no hidden fees when my son paid the rest I owed to them, they even offered 20.00 dollars free washing that I did not expect but I just didn’t use it cuz I prefer my son to wash it???? I am real customer not hired phony one. Just like anybody out there who is afraid to be rip off or have bad experience from auto shipping I would gladly says that I am fortunate, blessed to find an excellent service and right freight company to transport my car.

    My car is one of the investment I need to make sure being taken care of and arrive safely and no damage and with the price I got is equal to peace of mind I got after knowing it took only 2 days and it was received by my son safely with no damage and the company they hire are also well experience.     I had Crimson as my rep and she was very patient and helpful. I was hooked up with **. It was delivered very fast IA to CA within two days! The driver was very nice but was late for both pickup and delivery, but I wasn't too upset because it was raining on the pick up day and I live in the very rural countryside and SoCal traffic can mess things up. Why I say it exceeded the expectations-- auto transport could be notorious tbh, so considering that, I would say my experience with my car shipping was pretty decent.

    Very polite, helpful staff. I talked with numerous companies before them that did not inspire confidence (I’m really picky about my car). Their quote was very reasonable, and lower than the competition. One downside was they were not able to find a truck until a day or two before I needed my car shipped, which had me a little nervous. But I also required an enclosed transport with a lift gate rather than ramps, so I’m sure that vastly narrowed their options. The driver they selected was extremely friendly and professional, he contacted me throughout his drive to provide me with updates. I’m in the military and have moved a lot, including shipping this car overseas and back (the military shipped my other car). So, I’ve dealt with my fair share of brokers and shipping companies. I plan on using this one again, and would recommend them.

    I purchased a car and I needed to have it transported from Philadelphia to me in North Alabama. I got two other quotes, and Sherpa was the most reasonable for me and the final price was exactly what they quoted me. My problem was where I was having it delivered and where I was having it picked up. It was in a very rural area in Pennsylvania and that was hard for them to get to. And it was heading in the wrong direction. Sherpa kept assuring me that they would find a transporter for my car.

    We needed to have it delivered by a Sunday because we were leaving to go to Russia on a Wednesday. I called Sherpa a week and a half before the car had to be delivered. Then it goes up on a board, and whoever wants to take that particular transport, they’re the ones that contact Sherpa and they line it up. It took until the very day before that Sherpa was able to find someone. They ended up making a deal that was very hard for someone to refuse and the transporter got the lion’s share of the money. Also, the initial transporter showed up with a trailer that did not work for my car, so they hired someone else. So it took a little bit longer to get here. Other than that, I got good service out of Sherpa and I would highly recommend them.

    I used Sherpa to transport a vehicle I bought and the only problem I encountered was I sent an email out trying to figure out if there was a $50 rebate for North Carolina residents. And it took a while to figure out what to do to get that $50 rebate since no information was provided at the time that I scheduled. It was just said that there was a $50 rebate. But other than that the delivery went fine. The contractor helped take off the vehicle out of his trailer and put it where I needed it. It was fine.

    I loved Sherpa and I liked the price. It was my first time using them and I'm going to use them again once my lease is over. There was a lady who I dealt with and she was so professional. The guys were like a salesman telling me what to use. They cannot be doing that. They should let the customer decide which company to use. There was a guy who was very rude and I reported him.

    The driver was awesome. He called three times telling me where he was. He was so smiley. With all that driving, he wasn’t even stressed out. By the time I was gonna go to the bank, he was in the parking lot where my hotel was. I was gonna give him a $50 tip and he said, “Oh, no, no. It’s okay. I make decent money.” He was such a gentleman and I wish I’d get him again. My car was clean when it got to the truck, but when he got to Texas it was dirty because it rained along the way. But I didn’t mind. The delivery was on time and everything was awesome. Sherpa is the best.

    My experience with Sherpa went fine. They transported a 2015 Subaru from New York to California which took about a week. They found the transport truck and then everything was taken care of from there. The vehicle showed up in one piece. There was no damage or anything. The driver was good. The only thing is the dispatcher told me he was gonna be there one day, and then when I actually gave it to the guy, he said, “Well, I’m gonna be there in a couple days earlier than that.” But it worked out in the end.

    I was moving and I didn’t wanna drive my vehicle as far as I had to, from Pennsylvania to Florida. Sherpa had good reviews and I went with them. They had my vehicle shipped but it arrived two days late and I had nothing here to ride. The driver was telling me that he couldn’t deliver it because he was running out of his DOT time. I also received an email that said when my vehicle was delivered, a carwash was on them. My truck arrived around the 21st of May and I've sent the receipt to the offices but I’ve yet to see a credit on my credit card like I was told I would. When my truck arrived, there was also a ding from a rock or something that flipped up at it and scratched it. But the owner took $50 off my bill for that.

    I was getting out of the military and I needed to ship one of my cars, a Kia Sorento, from Washington to North Carolina. The guy I talked to at Sherpa explained stuff in detail and then when I asked him what the difference was between the cargo with them for their price and then somebody who was saying they could do it for $1,200, when he broke that down, he made it make sense. I always believe that you get what you pay for. Sherpa's price was a little higher than the rest of them but now that I know what I know, I’d rather go with the higher quote and then make sure I get the service. I want this rather than going with a cheaper quote and then standing there, worried if my car is even gonna get there on time.

    The end result was even better too, because he had said it could take 7 to 10 days but the driver got there in 5 days. My wife got the delivery of the vehicle and everything was fine. The driver was super quick too. When we had taken the car to put it on the truck, it was raining. He came out and steered everything pretty quickly. It was in and out and then he signed the papers and we left.

    We’ve sent 10 or 15 cars, and we’ve used Sherpa because they do a good job and they’re reasonable. I’ve also gotten quotes from other people in the past and Sherpa was cheaper. So I think their quotes were fair. The first time was perfect and then this year, my son was giving me a truck and that he was sending out here. The distance was about 2,200 miles. It took a long time to get a driver, about a week longer than it was supposed to, but I don’t think it was Sherpa's fault. And once they finally found someone, it was three days from the time the truck was picked up until it was delivered. It was real good. He couldn’t have done it any better. He must’ve driven straight here. I haven't gotten my carwash money back yet. But that aside, as far as my interaction with Sherpa's reps, it's all good.

    I was relocating and I transported my vehicle about 2,000 miles. This was our first time doing this and when you’re shipping your vehicle, you’re handing over the key to one of your most valuable assets. I'm not sure where it’s gonna end up. So walking through a lot of the questions that I had initially and how Sherpa was going to accomplish it, and then making sure I felt comfortable with the service that they were providing was really key for me. Other than that, it was also keeping to the timetable. Sherpa kept me up to date on what to do prior to the transporter coming as well as what to expect while the car was in transport. The constant communication was really key for me as well. I decided to go with Sherpa based on the comfort level I had in talking with them, the reviews and the information that I found on their website.

    The expectations that were set were highly accurate. They gave a date range on the delivery and it actually came at the earlier part of that date range, which was really nice. From the pickup time to the drop off, it was less than a week and when my vehicle arrived, it was in great shape. Being in an open transport and weather, it was a little bit dirty but Sherpa provided a free carwash upon delivery as well. The quote was also highly competitive. It was a little bit more than a few of the other carriers that I looked at but the comfort level that Sherpa provided me made that little bit extra worthwhile. It was also much cheaper than driving across the country. I’ve already recommended Sherpa and I would use them again.

    I had a car transported from Austin TX to Atlanta GA. I was very happy with the price and the amount of time it took for the transport, but definitely feel like the communication could have been improved. I didn't get any confirmation on the pick up time until the driver called me to tell me they were 20 minutes outside of Austin and wanted to coordinate loading the car. This was around 8 am local time. I had to scramble with emails and phone calls to have the seller's representative available.

    The transport took 2.5 days, and I was supposed to get a call with a delivery window the day before drop off, but my first phone call was at 1 pm from the driver saying he was in front of my house. Again, I had to scramble to get someone to my house to inspect and sign for the car. With proper notice I could have been there myself. The car was very dirty when it arrived and though Sherpa pays for a car wash, I spent a couple of hours cleaning the car up myself. But overall, the car arrived on time, on budget, and in acceptable condition, so it was a fine, though stressful experience.

    I was looking up auto transport companies, and Sherpa was the first one I found. I called to get a quote a month before even leaving and it stayed the same which was what I liked most about it. The price was reasonable and I liked it the whole way through. It was the top pick in my mind before I even made the final decision. I talked to the rep from Sherpa a couple of times throughout the process and each time, she gave me every detail that I needed to feel secure about shipping with them. She knew what she was talking about, which was what sold me as well.

    When I finally set a date, it was easy to get that set up. The driver came and communicated well with me on when they would be there. I watched the vehicle as it got loaded onto the truck and I felt secure and safe about that. This was my first time ever shipping my vehicle, so I was really nervous. I didn’t know if anything would go wrong or happen to my car when I got to the other side. I got here and the car got here a couple of days later. It was a smooth process and there was nothing difficult about it at all. I’d definitely do it again and ship my car through Sherpa. I’m glad it went well and it was awesome.

    My experience with Sherpa all went smoothly. They had very good and professional reps. The people dropping off the truck were very accommodating even though there were a couple of issues with my schedule. I was in contact with the driver a couple of times coordinating things over the phone. I met him when they dropped off the car and he was very nice. Also, the quote I was given didn't change. But I didn't know what to base the price on. I didn't have a choice and kinda just went with it.

    I looked at quite a few companies and then I saw Sherpa's damage-free guarantee. Their customer service was great. They were really helpful. When I had issues with the transportation people, they helped out pretty well. The pickup and delivery was kind of a difficult process. The guy picking up my vehicle said that he couldn’t come out to my house and that was really inconvenient because we had no other way to get home. I had a newborn baby at the time, so we really couldn’t just be stranded anywhere, and from my understanding, he was supposed to come out to my house.

    The drop-off person didn’t tell me a few days in advance before he dropped off the vehicle. He just told me within an hour that he was dropping it off, but we were still travelling across the country and nobody was able to pick it up. Also, they wanted a money order check but we couldn’t get them that because the banks were closed so we were unable to get the money at the time. He was really difficult about it. He said that he needed to drop it off now because he had other cars to get done. I told him that we didn’t have the money and we were not even there. He said that he would drop it off in the morning but he just took forever and didn’t even drop it off until the afternoon.

    We're moving to Texas and I lost the garage here in Philadelphia. So, I sent the car to my mother's house in Arizona 'cause I don't have a garage in Texas. I went online and looked at whatever came up, initially, on Google. I mighta called another transport company and then just looked at prices on the others. I talked to Sherpa and I went with them. The girl I talked to was knowledgeable and comforting. It's a '68 Camaro Convertible which is worth a lot of money, and I just felt comfortable after talking to the girl.

    The quote was accurate. The only problem was I expected a Sherpa truck to show up like that is the company that actually does the transporting, but apparently, they subcontracted it to somebody else. So, somebody else came and picked it up. I got the impression if I woulda called the transporter directly, I coulda saved money. But the pick-up and delivery experience was perfect. The guy that picked it up was very professional. He sat down and we talked for a while. When he got out to Arizona, he actually pulled up and drove it into my mom's garage for me 'cause my brother wasn't there to do it. He was a really nice guy and really efficient, too. It was a good experience with Sherpa. Everybody showed up when they were supposed to.
