The quote Sherpa provided may have been a little more than other companies, but it was worth it. There were no problems during the transport and the driver was a very nice guy. He texted me where he was and when he expected to be in Chicago. It was very professional from start to finish. I was very impressed.

I had a great smooth experience with Sherpa’s rep and based on what I needed and the amount of time I needed it in, the quote was very fair. The delivery went right to my door. It went seamless and the driver was very pleasant. I would recommend Sherpa.

My fiancée is a wizard when it comes to doing her due diligence and finding the best companies and reading reviews. I asked her to pull her magic and let me know what she thought, and Sherpa was in the top five transport companies and were actually the first ones to answer the phone or respond to my call. Joseph was the gentleman that I talked to. He was very professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable with using the company to broker the deal for me.
Top Line Auto Service based out of California dropped the car off. The two brothers met me. I had spoken to Joseph on the phone, and figured out what direction they were coming from, which was east from Florida. And based on where I live, I gave them the best place that I thought would be the easiest to pull up an 18-wheeler, and with a truckload of cars, to offload it and meet them to where they could easily get back on the interstate again and go about their day without having to snake through city traffic. We got that place lined up. It was a few miles away from my house. They called me numerous times when they were on the way and got there. The car was dirty, but I expected it to be. It was raining and it was an open truck. But other than that, no damage to the vehicle. The brothers were incredibly friendly and professional people that if I had to use anybody again, I would recommend them and Sherpa.
I was very worried throughout the process because I have never purchased a vehicle that I have never seen before, or even driven or heard it idle. They got it to me and it was in good shape. And everything was good. I enjoyed it. Plus they were cool. They had a very exotic, classic car on the truck and they had to offload it to get my car off. They opened the doors and let me peek my head in and take a look at it, and I drooled a bit at how cool the car was.
Sherpa's quote was better than anything that I had received other than ones that were scams. I've never done this before. I just signed up online and I was hammered with emails and phone calls from a lot of people that were trying to, “Oh, I'll beat this price. I'll do this price.” And I was getting quotes that seemed too good to be true, and they were, because once I went and got my fiancée to do her magic and look these particular companies up, she was like, “Yeah, that's gonna be a no. Each one of those has terrible reviews and they're scams.” Because they quoted me 500 bucks, $600, that type of stuff. What Sherpa quoted me wasn't gonna fluctuate. If it did, they would apply money towards it if need be. It was right on the money. The transport was part of my car purcahsing process that was the fastest, streamlined and very much worth the money that I paid for.

liked Sherpa's Price Lock guarantee. They guaranteed me the price that they quoted me and if it was over, they had a guarantee that they would pay it. Also, they have good customer service. And during the delivery, the driver called me the night before and told me what time he was gonna be in. He was within five to 10 minutes when he told me and it was fine. I would recommend them.

We had somebody set up to pick up the vehicle and we had a date and a time but that person dropped the ball. I contacted Sherpa about it and asked what we could do. They immediately took care of it and dropped their brokerage fee. They did everything that they could to get us a new shipper immediately. I was really impressed with them. If I ever have to ship another vehicle, I'll use them 100%.

Sherpa's customer service rep was great and my only issue was they did not book the transport until the first day of the window. They were very communicative to let me know that they hope to have one and they have a 95% success rate but they couldn't guarantee it until they had it. I was nervous leading up to it. The initial quote was $450 and then, it went up to 700 but that happened in the time in which I set up and signed the agreement on the phone with the gentleman. So, it was the first leg and the driver did not charge anything more. He was fantastic and nice. I would love though to have known Friday and not 9:00 am on Monday that the car was going to be picked up Monday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. But it all worked out and the car’s here.

Sherpa was lovely to work with. I had a previous experience with another moving company that was a complete nightmare and this was the total opposite experience. It was wonderful. The people were nice and the follow-up as well as the customer service was great. They were straightforward and explained the difference between a carrier and a transport. They broke everything down so I understood. They were very honest and upfront. They told me what to listen for and to ask certain questions if I call around to whoever company when they’re giving me a bid. Then, if they gave me a particular answer, to say, “Thank you very much, but no, thank you.” And they were completely correct. Sherpa educated me as well as provided an option for me to work with them. They knew what they were doing so you don't have to worry about getting screwed over.

Dealing with the rep from Sherpa was very easy and I would do it again. When I dropped off the car, I met the driver who was very friendly and we chatted for a little bit. Their home base was maybe 50 miles away from where I was moving. So, Sherpa did a good job of picking a good transport line. I was flying to the area so I was gonna be there when the driver arrives. I had his personal phone number so I was able to contact him and pick the car up from their base when I flew in to the airport. I had gotten quotes from a bunch of other companies and they were all similar pricing. This one was a little more expensive but it was worth it to be able to store some stuff in the car. They let me store up a hundred pounds of things and then also, for the convenience, it worked out.

Sherpa's reps were top-notch and very efficient. Everything that was communicated and promised was exactly what was delivered. The quote was 100% accurate and the driver was very courteous, professional and detail oriented. He was also was very flexible with regard to the on-site delivery. The people at Sherpa were responsive. If I had a question, that was answered. The driver was very communicative to where he was. Whenever he was expected to be there, he gave a lot of updates without me even asking which was appreciated. The car arrived in 100% condition it left in. It was competitive pricing and the transport was done pretty quickly so I'd do it again.

The service exceeded my expectations. I was expecting three times the price Sherpa quoted and I was grateful that it wasn't so. The driver was very nice for the initial pick-up and my car seemed like it was in a good condition when I came back to see it. Sherpa delivered the car directly to my address. It wasn’t an off location where I had to go pick it up. I was very happy.

I contacted a few auto transporters and Sherpa was the easiest to work with. They were very informative and quick. They got it done in three days when I was told it would take two to three weeks. Everything was also upfront. Nothing changed. If I ever ship another vehicle, I would definitely use them.

Sherpa was great. We had phenomenal interaction with them trailering the car. Darren, which was the agent that I spoke to from the beginning, was very accommodating. He gave us a call and helped us throughout everything. Any questions my boyfriend had about the car transport, he answered clearly and thoroughly. It was a very human-like experience. It wasn't like reading a script, so we felt like friends and family were helping us. The driver was very understanding, took care of the car, which is the main part. Clear with where he was when we asked to touch base. Great interaction. We were very pleased. We're looking forward to use Sherpa more in the future.

The reps were very prompt. They were very knowledgeable about what was going on with the services. I didn't have to wait on hold for very long. It took a while getting the driver assigned though. They usually say three days but it took mine four days and a half to get a driver assigned. But the drivers were very quick. They picked the vehicle up on Friday in Georgia and delivered it on Sunday in California.

Olek/Oleg?? was a VERY professional driver. From the minute I met him, I relaxed because I sensed my vehicle was in excellent hands. He came through with flying colors --vehicle delivered safely, in perfect condition, and on time. Dispatch was professional and reliable. Sherpa Home Office professional. Yes, they cost a little more. But the TOTAL lack of headaches was worth it!!! Highly recommended.

I had purchased a car from Texas and I needed it transported to me here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sherpa was within $100 of the typical cost to bring it up. There were some companies that advertised $400, which I know wouldn't even cover the gas, so I didn't even think about them. But from looking at reviews on people that have used Sherpa, I felt comfortable with them, so I went with them.
Their service representative gave me a price, and I told him I had a price similar to that, but a little less. First, he gave me all of their credibility as far as how they go about their business, and then the insurance of the car. And if it would make a difference, they would offer a $100 card of return for that $100 difference, so I wouldn't be paying any more. If there was a problem with the difference in cost once the car was on the trailer, they would pay the difference. It all worked out fine.
There was a problem where they couldn't identify my little town where I live. So they asked me what the major city was near me, which was 20 miles away, and it's Pittsburgh. I gave them that and that was the zip code that they attached to it with the transport guy. When it got close to the delivery, he realized I was on the other side of Pittsburgh from where he was coming and it would take more time and fuel to get over to where I'm at. So it was an additional $75, which the company took care of after the fact. I paid for it upfront, and they reimbursed it. They handled it really well.
The man that delivered was a super guy. He really handled the car well, he was polite, and I would definitely recommend him again. He notified me the day that he would be bringing it, and he notified me within a couple hours of the delivery. Then we agreed on a place for him to drop it because he can't get to my house. It sits back off a private lane that it'd be difficult to get through. So we met there and it all worked out great. The car was in the same condition as what I expected when I bought it in Texas. Overall, Sherpa was really professional and they do what they say they're gonna do. The only thing that's important in life is that you do what you say you're gonna do.

The communication from beginning to end was great. Before booking with Sherpa, they answered all my questions. When I did not receive a call from the transport carrier within the designated window (24-48 hours before pick up), I contacted Sherpa and they were very responsive on my behalf. I will definitely use their services again.

After many years of shipping our vehicle from Florida to Connecticut yearly. We have never been satisfied with the Service from other companies. Too many problems. So this year after doing a research, I liked what I read about your company. And I have to say your service was impeccable, outstanding. Your dispatch was great and the driver also could speak English. And made our pickup on time. With NO problems. He also delivered the vehicle to a park & Fly where we picked up car a few days later. He even sent a photo of our parking ticket. We return to Florida in Late September and will request using your company again. Thank you for your outstanding service. Mr. Greg.

We didn't have a very big window for the pick up of the vehicle and Sherpa was accommodating to the window we had to give them. They worked with me and they said that if they couldn't get the vehicle picked up at that time and we will have to pay another $300 out of our own pocket, they would do that. Also, I could not have asked for anything better than the driver we had. Everything was outstanding with Sherpa.

Sherpa was the most qualified out of the three or four companies I looked at. They were also available to do the transport. We dealt by email and various telephone conferences and I found it to be acceptable. The reps were very knowledgeable and the transport was expeditious. We had some time constraints to get the car done and Sherpa was able to meet them. Their price was higher than the other companies but fair for the services provided and for the time we needed it done by. However, I was supposed to get $100 gift card but I haven't gotten it yet.

We used Sherpa twice. They were great. My daughter goes to college seven hours away. We weren't gonna send a car to college but we found during COVID, it was impossible not to have a car. Her car is 17 years old. So, we were very leery of driving it seven hours on the highway. We felt the safest route was to ship it. I reached out to a lot of people. One of the people I ended up talking to from Sherpa ended up being from my town. It was luck that the guy ended up living here. So, it made it a little more personal.
The guy who picked up the car and drove it was phenomenal. At the end of the school year, I needed to ship the car back home to Charlotte. I didn’t even call any other companies. I just used Sherpa again. The transport was easy. They got ahold of me and then the next day, everything happened. So, for the return back to Charlotte in April, I did get a little nervous because I had a very set end date. My daughter was leaving campus and there'd be no one there to help ship the car, and it was getting kind of late. But it worked out. They did what they said. In their defense, they were comfortable knowing they would get a driver. The guy who drove the car back was lovely. He communicated.

The lady who I spoke with from Sherpa was so polite. It was my first time to be using a transport like that and I thought, “Hey, everything that I asked for, they did.” They asked for 1,550 and they got 1,550. They didn’t take any deal. I asked for a deal too. They wouldn’t give me any deal. I asked to get my vehicle to Oregon as soon as possible. They left on Sunday and I got it on Thursday. The driver called me on Saturday. The reps of Sherpa were extremely nice, knowledgeable and told me when they would pick up. Then the other company then contacted me and said when they were picking up and they did when they said they were. It went really smoothly and without a hitch. It was perfect. They had told us it might be longer, but then it got there three days early. So, it was great.

Sherpa was great. I talked to a lady and she was really good. The price was high. However, in my specific circumstance delivering the car to my teenage daughter in Colorado, I wanted zero issues at the end of the delivery. I didn’t want a scenario where the car was delayed or the driver for whatever reason said it cost me more money than I originally anticipated. One of the reasons why I picked Sherpa was because of their guarantee. If there are any overages, they would eat those overages. So, that peace of mind was worth the extra $200 that it costs to transport the vehicle. Overall, it was really good.
I was a little upset though. They gave me a quote. I thought about it and then I called them back. I wanted to change the pickup location like two miles away. They charged me an extra $100. I said, “What's the difference? You're literally two miles away. You could see where the new spot that I wanted to have the car picked up." And they did it right. They said, “It's a higher price, but we'll send you a credit card or a debit card with $100 on it to get it back to the original price.” I honestly did not think they were gonna do it. But they sent me a card and it had 100 bucks on it. Sherpa found the driver. They picked the car up on time and there were no issues at the other end of the line.

I appreciated that the company always kept in touch and made sure everything was happening as scheduled. Received quick response to a support email that I wasn't expecting, which is something rare with a lot of companies today. I wasn't very satisfied with the carrier, didn't deliver a time promised and failed to get in touch with me, and the car was scraped in a place it was before it was shipped, I know because I have a video of the condition of the vehicle before it arrived, and the previous owner was a family member who kept it in great condition, but that's no fault of Sherpa. Should the situation arise that I need to move a vehicle again I would definitely call them, great service and affordable rates, that's hard to come by.

I had a friend who had used the same company, so I just called the same one. And she had a good review of it, so it just did it that way. I was made aware of all the parts of the process and when I would hear exact details. The driver was very communicative and good about giving me notice and being adaptable. Sherpa in general is a higher cost than other ones, but in terms of the service I received, there were no issues. The car got home before I did, so it was perfect. And my sister is also moving her car so I suggested Sherpa to her based on my experience.

I heard from fellow marines in Beaufort that had used Sherpa before that they were very reliable and quick in responding. After three failed attempts at getting someone to ship my vehicle, I went with Sherpa and they were able to successfully ship my vehicle. They were very transparent in the beginning saying that the other companies had severely under quoted me and explained the whole process about what an accurate quote looked like for the distance that I was going. The driver, George, was super diligent. He took care of my vehicle. It was in the same condition I gave to him when he got here. I'm definitely going to use Sherpa again to ship my sister's vehicle in October.

It was a very good experience with the rep of Sherpa. I only had one problem. I thought that they should have told me in advance that they weren't absolutely guaranteeing that they’d be able to transport my vehicle. That it was very likely, but that it wasn't guaranteed. As it turned out with my vehicle, they weren't able to lock in a date till about two days before we left, which was a little bit disconcerting given that all our plans hinged on them picking up the vehicle by a certain date so that we could leave in time to make our move out here. But other than that, I was very pleased with the interaction.

Sherpa far exceeded any expectations that I would have had. The move was from Los Angeles to Florida, and the car got there faster than I could have imagined. I couldn't have driven it myself that fast. They promised that the car will be delivered between 8 to 11 days, but they did it in 4 days. Also, the final price was exactly what they said. That's one of the advantages of their company. You lock in the quote, and that’s what it is. Sherpa was fantastic. I'm gonna use them again next month and I would tell anybody to use them.

I highly recommend Sherpa. They are good folks. The gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable and gave me a good price. The driver was quite knowledgeable, got the car at the dealership and signed all the paperwork. Here at the delivery location, the driver came and brought the car down. I was concerned with trying to find a transportation company I could trust. I have read too many horror stories on how some brokers and drivers conduct business and did not want to worry about moving my car. I have a 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible, it is not a perfect show car, but in great restored condition. I did not want to spend too much to get it transported from California to Oregon. I decided on Sherpa after reading the reviews and so happy I did. They did not disappoint. They were very easy to work with and completely transparent with the process. The price that was quoted, was the price I paid, not a penny more. The pick up location I used had a very small window of time available for the driver to get the car, but they worked with my schedule and picked up without any issues just as they scheduled. The car arrived a day earlier than I expected and in the exact condition it left in.
Everyone I worked with through the process was very friendly and the communication during the entire process was great. The driver took great care on how the car was loaded and unloaded. The whole process was stress free, I will definitely be calling Sherpa to transport my next car. Thank you for taking care of my car the way I would.

Great Experience from the start! Jeremiah who was my broker agent was upfront and honest with how the whole process works. The classic vehicle I bought in Ohio was picked up right on time as they stated. The driver was great with communicating with me on pick up with video of loading and throughout the entire trip. He basically made it to Massachusetts in a day. The car was covered in a beautiful single car hauler and delivered perfectly! When compared with other companies, Sherpa's Google reviews were good as well as the price was a bit low. They gave me a good discount. However, when I got the car, it was a bit dusty and I saw a lot of stains, which weren't originally present when at the dealer location. That is one of the disadvantages.

The coordinator was good, and the quote and final cost were the same. It took five days from when the car was picked to the time it was dropped off, and everything happened as they were supposed to. It was very good service. I would use Sherpa again. They did a great job.

Getting the pricing was painless. I liked it that Sherpa had a fixed price so I didn't have to worry about it fluctuating in the future. I then needed to change the date at one point and Sherpa made it pretty easy. My driver was terrific. I really liked him. He called me, introduced himself and explained to me that he would come and pick up the car. He was familiar with the tiny town I lived in in California. I asked him how long he thought it would take to go across country and he gave me an estimate of whatever it was. I told him I was going to be driving across the country on a specific timeframe and asked if he could pick it up on a particular date. I also told him I was going to have a friend hand over the car to him. I gave him my friend's name and phone number in case he needed it. My friend, Joanne, took care of it with him. They walked around the car together and did the inspection. Then he called me a day after I arrived in Florida and told me he's got my car and he could give it to me that evening if I wanted. The car was totally clean.

The pickup was really good. The guy was so nice and personable, and there were no problems at all. We were worried at first because we were not familiar with the big city and how it was going to all come about. But he just knew what he was doing. I started to try and transport a car with a different company. The price was a bit more, and they didn't guarantee pickup. I waited five days, and the car still wasn't picked up so I cancelled it and went with Sherpa. They guaranteed the pickup date and the price. The drivers were great too. Super nice guys.

There were good reviews of Sherpa, and they had the $300 price guarantee. They guarantee their quote and they will match up $300 of their own money. I've used them twice now. The ’68 Pontiac is already here, but I did a Honda Accord as well. That's in transit and it should be here either tomorrow or Saturday. If I've used Sherpa twice, then they were good the first time. Both the shipping companies were easy to work and communicate with as well. They can communicate via text and they showed up on time when they said they would. Everybody's been great.

My experience with Sherpa was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time shipping and it went so smoothly. I was scared a little bit because my baby was being shipped. But it got there well. They told me exactly what I needed to do to make the transaction go over smoothly and that was what I did. The quote was also exactly what they told me it would be. Not a dollar over. They were on time and the date that they told me that my car would be there, it was there. They called me an hour outside of the location to let me know and when they said that they were there within an hour, they were.

Both times I used Sherpa were excellent. They moved mountains to help me out. Also, the drivers both times were prompt and courteous. It was the smoothest transporting I've ever done, and I've done many of them. Sherpa's great. I would recommend them over and again. They were all professional. Sherpa provided a very pleasant delivery experience. The agent I spoke to initially was eager to help provide me a quote for my car and communication was very timely. I was pleasantly surprised that Sherpa was able to secure a pickup and delivery within my preferred timeframe because other companies I called stated that my pickup and delivery would probably be delayed given that it was during a holiday week. The assigned carrier also provided wonderful door to door service with no problems. I would gladly use Sherpa again in the future and tell all of my friends!

Very professional auto transport service. Driver communicated very well with me the entire time from pickup to dropoff, and was right on time within the window given to me. I shipped our automobile with Sherpa and they said, “You will be receiving a gift card,” but I still have not received it. I've made several calls, and they processed it and sent it over to Visa, May 11th. They're very hard to get through to with communication. If you try to call them, you wait and wait and then, they don't even give you a website. They tell you a website if you have an insurance thing. Apart from that, we were very happy with the whole process.
We did some traveling before we closed on our home, and my daughter and her husband received the car. They said the driver was good, and he answered all of their questions before they paid him. The car seemed to be in okay condition too. Overall, the negatives were their communication process is very lacking and there was no response in receiving the gift card. On the other hand, the handling of the car shipment itself went very well with them. The company they subcontracted to did a very good job.

Sherpa was great. I only spoke to two people. They were very knowledgeable and they let me know everything. The driver was there pretty early, earlier than what he said he was going to be there. My car was in good condition, everything was in the same spot. Didn't look like anything was rummaged through. This was my first time transporting my car, so I didn't really know much about anything that was supposed to go on. I felt like when I was explained the whole transport thing by the customer service rep, it was exactly what he said. There were no extras or hidden anything. I was very satisfied.

I called them and the woman that I spoke with had everything sorted out within 20 minutes over the phone. Then, I met up with the guys in Montana and the vehicle was delivered a few days later to one of my friends. The delivery was zero problems.

When I initially called, one of Sherpa's agents explained to me the process and I liked what they had to offer. Service was good. They also have the $300 policy that they'll put in, which is nice, if it gets over the month. The transport went smooth and it was all convenient. I like to get my car close to my place and it arrived on time. I chose open transportation. There was a lot of rain, so the car got very dirty, but that's expected. I recommend Sherpa.

I was transporting a car that was not working across the country and Sherpa was the only one that would take it. The cost was what was quoted. Also, the customer service communicated pretty clearly with me about how their process worked, what downpayments were needed, and how I was essentially going to have to pay. I had some flexibility with the timeframe but they were able to get both the carrier set up faster than I anticipated, and then the car got here substantially faster than I thought it was going to. The driver was there on top of it. Most communication was through a cellphone just because he's a driver. They did a good job of communicating with us about pick-up times and where to be and when they expected to deliver.
The only thing is that Sherpa is essentially a broker. A lot of the carriers are independent operators. While Sherpa may be great, and they do some vetting of their drivers, it's still a bid system when shipping a car. I've done this a few times, and so, part of the experience isn't necessarily due to Sherpa, it's due to whoever the driver is. I've had great drivers and I've had okay drivers. That's just something to be aware of.

The reservation process at Sherpa was straightforward and it was easy to book. It's a different kind of service than what you're used to in normal consumer situation because of their scheduling windows and their availability. It's geared to be towards an on-demand. But you're still putting yourself in a situation where you're putting your quote out in the open market and you're hoping someone takes the quote in the time that you need it. That was probably the most tenuous part of the experience. As we were getting closer to our departure date, we were still waiting on confirmation if anyone was even going to pick up the cars and as we got closer, it became a little more stressful because we were within days of leaving and they had not even started the process.
By the time that we got the cars picked up, it was a race. We had to get to the destination before the auto transport company got there because Sherpa's a brokerage company. So, they inevitably outsource the job to another company and dealing with the final company was stressful because we didn't know what to expect from them. We were moving and we had just sold our house and we had nowhere to keep the cars. We could not wait another couple of days. We had no physical property keeping that unless we rented a space and kept the cars there, which we were in U-Hauls. So, we literally had nowhere to go and we had two extra cars sitting around that we're hoping that they show up when they say they're gonna show up.
One of the conditions with most auto transport companies is you have to have a certified check. When we found out who the brokerage company was, it was within about an hour and a half of them picking up the vehicle. At that time, it was 5:00 eastern for us and there was no way to get a certified check because we didn't know the name of the company. Once we got the name, they picked up the vehicles around 6:00 eastern. We had to wait until the next business day before we could even stop off at our bank and get a certified check. At that point we were already 12 hours behind the transporter who had already left.
To top everything off there, he was foreign and spoke no English at all, which was a little scary because we're worried if he understood what we were trying to do. But he was very professional. We watched him load the cars and we had some comfort that he knew that we were not gonna be able to start until 12 hours later. But that company’s dispatcher was also foreign. So, we were a little concerned that the communication process. So, we started out the next day hoping for the best. We had ways to contact him but it wasn't very straightforward. You would text the driver and you might get a text back in a couple of hours. If you text the dispatcher, it was a lot of broken English and almost got to the point of less communication was probably better to not confuse the situation. So, we stayed out of the situation and kept driving.
It was a two-day trip for us. So, when we got here, we arrived before the driver. He had managed to say that he would drive slowly. It was the best that he could explain and we got here probably about three or four hours before he did. When he arrived, the cars were in great shape. We checked the mileage and there was no funny business that went on. The cars were transported exactly as we expected and he was very professional in getting the vehicles off his transport.
It was just very nerve-wracking up until the point the cars got picked up because we were ready before the cars were ready to be picked up. Then, the whole transport process was nerve-wracking because there was a lot of language barrier issues that was out of Sherpa's hands. Sherpa left the process when they handed it off to the company who picked up the cars. Then, all of a sudden, Sherpa came back in at the very back end once the cars had been delivered to make sure everything was okay. It was a stressful situation that ended up being a good experience. The entire trip was stressful but it was no fault of Sherpa. It was just the way that their system works.
I was still pleased with Sherpa's service but they waited a little too long to escalate in their process because they took our original bid that we had agreed to with them. They have a price match guarantee. They'll kick in up to $300 extra to make sure that each vehicle gets shipped within our schedule. In the original bidding process, when they had our reservation, we're almost a month out when we booked with them. We were literally sitting in the house and getting ready to close before they escalated our shipping need to where they would kick in the extra 300. So, they were still waiting before they would kick in that extra promise. Then, when they kicked in the extra $300, we literally had left to go close the house. It was about eight hours later that they eventually got a driver for us.
The actual shippers that are out there looking at their boards, knowing that that is a Sherpa quote, were probably in the mindset of waiting for Sherpa to desperately need them before they go take the bid because that's when they know they can get the most money out of them. So, from a retail point of view, it looks good for Sherpa to the customer that they’re going to cover the extra money. But it probably hurts them because the subcontractors that they're awarding the jobs to know that if they hold off, they're going to make more money out of Sherpa. It's not a good arrangement for the customer, even though Sherpa stands by the letter to what they promise.
In our situation, we were told that the pick-up could happen as early as Saturday and it was Tuesday night before they awarded who to pick up and who the transport company was going to be. So, we were at the very end of the window when Sherpa said that they would get us someone. It took a little bit of a rude phone call from me for them to finally say they were going to kick in the extra money. But we got our vehicles and everything was delivered as promised. There was some extra stress that didn't need to be but I was pleased if I could get our cars. At the end of the experience, that should not have been what my real measure of success was. It shouldn't be like a hostage situation that you're glad that they delivered.

The driver was very thorough with waiting for us to get our little inspection done. It was great. The quote was very reasonable and it was cheaper than having to drive it over here. I ran into some problems with my first auto transport and I took a chance on Sherpa after reading the reviews and the website, and also speaking with the agent that was very informative. I know it's not cheap to have your car transported to another state and their quote was fair. Also, with the short amount of time that they had to work with, they came through for me. Pickup and delivery were well done. The staff was doing everything that they needed to do in regards to taking the photographs and then reaching out to their supervisor to let them know that they were at the site and everything was going okay. I liked that within 24 hours my car was delivered to its destination.

My car had a flat tire and no one wanted to even mess with it. Sherpa was the only one that would haul it and they explained things to me. It had to be considered a non-operable vehicle and the price was a little higher because of it. The transport was done with an enclosed trailer and the guy was very polite. They did a very nice job hauling.

We thought we’d transport a car. I was scared to death of the idea. I read all the horror stories - cars falling off trucks, cars coming full of mud, dents, whatever. I researched the heck out of it. I went through 15 transports, and read their stuff online. Sherpa's presentation online was good. It was convincing. It was humble in the sense of the reality of the whole car transport business. The fact that you're not dealing initially with the driver, you're dealing with a broker. Most people are not familiar with doing this and don't understand the difference between a trucker and a broker. That's the scary part. And that's what Sherpa covered so well. And in service, I never had to sit on hold with them if I had a question. It was the same with talking to the truckers. They were very cool and sharp, and they did the job.
The car was picked up exactly where and when we expected. The two young drivers were neat. They shuffled the cars around to get them in the order they needed them. We watched them do it very carefully in moving cars in and out. And off they went. It disappeared in Phoenix, Arizona. Our family members were here already in Michigan when the car arrived. It arrived at exactly the right time. A family of ours picked the car up. The driver called ahead, said, “Here's when we expect to be there.” Rolled the car off the truck. And with the most thorough examination, it was obvious the car suffered no damage, no dents. It was no worse for wear at all.
The price of Sherpa was higher than some of the other offers. But what we read was, in this business, you get what you pay for. The offer goes up online and drivers get a choice of whether they want to take it or not. And if the price is low, the car can sit there forever until some desperate driver decides he just needs another buck. If you put a decent price up there on the board that is attractive to a good driver, then you get what you pay for. That’s what we discovered. That with Sherpa, even though they were putting a higher price up on the board to get a driver, we got the right one. We got guys that got our car from point A to point B on time, in its original shape. If we were to do this again, and we may, Sherpa would be the first choice. I was very impressed. Our old Corolla was sitting next to a sports car that was 100 times what our car was worth. And I figured, “Well, if they're gonna transport that car, they can take my Corolla.”
As long as Sherpa’s in business, and they are there to grab my car and take it where I need it to go, I would do it. Most other people are first-timers with trucking a car. And if that's the case, I would say, “Give Sherpa a try.” And don't expect that it's going to be cheap. The sense of relief when that car came off the truck was worth it.

I got so many low ball quotes. My experience told me Sherpa's quote, while higher, would likely be more in line with the actual price. This was an unexpected move and I needed the car picked up in a short window. Sherpa was great and got the car from California to Vermont. Carrier was A+ and so was Sherpa!

Everything went fine with Sherpa. It was a little confusing though, because at the first scheduled pick-up, the driver had a problem, and so then we owed less money. But instead of taking that out of the full amount, they took it out of the down payment. My mom who got the car in Oregon had to go out and get an extra 100 bucks but everything went great. The car arrived in great condition. It was really reliable and I was happy with the service. Sherpa is a great company. They did a good job.

When a different car carrier didn’t pick up our vehicle by date they told us, we started calling other companies. Sherpa rep explained the way the carrier’s system works and had our vehicle picked up by the next day! And the driver stayed in contact with us all four days.

Communication with the driver was very comforting too. He was texting me and letting me know timeframe that he would be there. When he got there, he let me know where he was. Sherpa’s service was fine and they did everything they said they were going to do. But we were told that when the driver picked the vehicle up in Texas, he would call us and give us a window of when he would be delivering the vehicle so we could be there with the cash to pay him and also pick up the delivery of the vehicle. And he never called. He was to be delivering the vehicle to the body shop that was to restore the truck and the body shop guy looked up and there was the truck and the guy was standing there and he didn't call.
The body shop is located about a quarter of a mile walk off a main road and it's a dirt and a broken concrete type roadway. So, the two back tires on the truck were flat when it was loaded by a forklift at the pick-up location. The truck was still in the shape and the tires were still in the shape that they were when the truck was picked up until the guy got to the location and saw that he couldn't drive his transport down that road, so he decided to offload my truck on his own. He backed it off the truck with the two flat tires and down that quarter-mile road. By the time he got to where the body shop was, the tires and rims were ruined in the back. So, we filed an insurance claim and I sent pictures.
I'm waiting while the insurance company is making the inquiries that they need to. It wasn’t Sherpa's fault because they use independent contractors. That's the way it goes sometimes. You get somebody that doesn't follow instructions like they're supposed to and Sherpa couldn't control them. Everything was good and I would use Sherpa again.

I called Sherpa Auto Transport after dealing with another company (Montway Auto) for many weeks with no solution for transporting my vehicle. I was super frustrated, but Sherpa arranged for my vehicle to be picked up the next day and made my situation 100% better. I was already living in a different state and I had to leave my vehicle with a family member. Communication was top notch and the driver of the auto transport called to let me know they were on their way and would be picking up my vehicle within 45 minutes.
My family member took pictures as they loaded it onto the trailer, and within 48 hours my vehicle arrived to me in perfect condition!! The driver was very courteous and met me outside of my apartment complex to handle the payment and transfer of my vehicle. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto as they were friendly, helpful, quick, professional, and charged the correct amount so that an auto transport driver would be willing to pick up my vehicle quickly. Sherpa's quote was a little higher than other companies, but it seemed more reliable. My only complaint would be they stated driveway to driveway, but when they got to where they were picking up and dropping off, unless you had a ton parking lot space availability by your home, they made you drive a little ways to meet them to pick it up and drop it off. Other than that, it was good overall. They did what I needed them to do.

There was open communication with Sherpa. I called and they provided the information. I was kept up to date with phone calls from the driver and emails. The quote was a bit expensive but it was better than what the other companies provided. The vehicle was dirty from travel when it arrived but there was no physical damage and the total transport took less than a week.

The company that did the actual physical car transport was very informative and assured me that they had a list of things that they required in order for Sherpa to accept them as part of their accepted transport companies. They do the behind-the-scenes work. All in all, they were very communicative, those from Sherpa directly as well as from the gentleman that was driving the truck. Whoever answered the phone for Sherpa did a great job and I signed up with them immediately. Everything was customer first. They kept calling and told us the time they were going to come. And they asked if it was still okay if that wouldn’t be quite that time. Sherpa is the way to go. They were rated as one of the five top ones and I would put them at the top, not knowing the other ones. But speaking to a couple of them, I knew right away I wanted a ship with Sherpa. When I called some other people, these were people trying to run businesses out of their houses and they probably posted on some kind of national site to see if they could find someone to ship.
But with Sherpa, I could see right away that they were going to take responsibility and they were going to find a shipper. I knew they were going to take care of it. I'm not going to be relying on someone and sending them a deposit when we don't even know if they're legitimate. I had no idea how all this went because I never shipped anything but it was so simple.
The quote was perfect. They told me 625 and I gave the guys 200. I went to the bank and got the cash and paid the other guy. He was so nice. I gave him $20 extra for some food and he said I didn’t have to. Then, when my sister got to the other end, she gave them 20 bucks too because the guy who transported it was such a nice guy. You don't know how many cars are going to get shipped at once and it can come down your street. This was a shipper that took three cars at once and it was easy. He came right to the house.

I called a few other car transport companies and they quoted one price, but then they found somebody anywhere from $200 to $300 more. I said, "That's not acceptable," and that's when Sherpa said they would do it. They were very upfront and they guaranteed the price. They said, "This is what it is," and then when they went to come pick it up, that's exactly what it was. They were on time too. The first two other car transport companies had delays in trying to find a driver. With Sherpa, I had somebody within a couple hours and the pickup was quickly set up. Not only were they cheaper, but they were fast to respond as well. Also, the driver was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I tried another company and they were dragging their feet. They didn't seem to be able to get done what I needed to have done and Sherpa did it relatively quick and easy. When the driver delivered the car, he was really nice, helped me take it off the truck, and I went through all the paperwork. He was very good. Overall, my experience was great. I would use them again for sure.

I was very skeptical about handing my new truck to any stranger to transport across the country for me. I chose Sherpa and am glad I did. The pick up went well and the drop off went the same. I had a vehicle I needed sent to Seattle for my son and the first company I contacted failed to deliver. Sherpa was the second one I contacted and I was happy with the fact that they got it there. Plus, it was quicker than anticipated. The transport was supposed to take 7 to 10 days, but my son got the vehicle in 5. Everybody was fine from the coordinator to the driver. The driver was excellent. He looked over every aspect of my vehicle, took pictures, and made sure everything was as it should be.

I had so many people emailing me when I submitted a request online but with Sherpa, I felt that it was a little more personal when I called and that they listened to my needs. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision. Also, the final price came up to be a little more than the quote but the rep called me back and he never asked me for any more money, which is what he said would happen. The only thing is that the trucker needs to provide documentation that's legible because it was like pictures taken with a phone. They should have the paperwork on hand. That was the only issue that I saw. Other than that, the overall experience went well and if I had to use them again, I would. The process was easy and Sherpa stood by their word. At the end of the day, that's all that matters to me.

The person that I spoke with who helped set up our original estimate from Sherpa explained the whole process. He explained what was going on, that people put up the deliveries on an open board, and then the independent drivers bid on those and arrange to make the delivery. Understanding that helped me along with the whole process. The car was transported within the timeframe that we expected. The car was picked up from my parents' house in Upstate New York and it got very quickly to its destination in Central Illinois within one day. We were really pleased. Also, at first, I thought the price was a little bit on the higher side but there were no adjustments or unexpected changes to that. We got what we paid for and the car was delivered undamaged. I would not hesitate to use Sherpa again if needed and would recommend them to others.

I was treated well and the process were explained thoroughly. I received quotes from 4 different shippers. Even though Sherpa was the highest (thus my rating of one less star) - they were able to guarantee the pricing which gave me a level of comfort. The car was picked up and delivered on time. I spoke to a couple of places, and when I spoke with the customer service agent from Sherpa, he made me feel very comfortable with the process. He explained what would happen. I had a couple of questions about, "What if the car's not picked up or booked," and he was able to go through and answer them completely. I liked the price guarantee as well. It was very important to me. The quote was higher than a couple of the other quotes that I received, but because it was a firm quote, I decided that was the best. It was my mother's vehicle, and we had a hard close date on the condo, and we had to be out of there. I didn't want to get slammed with a surprise at the end. The pick-up was tremendous. Rapid Transport did a phenomenal job. They were courteous, competent, and efficient. With the delivery, I hadn't returned yet with my mother from Florida because we drove, but my husband was here. He said everything went smoothly.

I had a great experience. My car arrived in perfect condition. It was clear to me that the driver (I believe his name is Demetri) took pride in getting my car to me in perfect condition. The guy from the company Sherpa hired, M&M Moving and Storage, was amazing. I know sometimes it's hard to find somebody, especially when you're in a rural section, but the guy liked it that they hired because he was on his way back. He was able to bring two cars back. He hurt his leg and he still was out there doing his job. He even made it a day early dropping the truck off for my son.

Sherpa was recommended to me by someone who used them and a friend of mine did research and they had good recommendations. Their quote was higher than other people's but everything was included and I didn't feel like I was going to get add-on expenses. I was extremely satisfied with them. It seems like Sherpa has everything nailed down and got all the bases covered. I was notified that it was going to cost them an extra 100 bucks for the transporters. They billed me 200 instead of 200 and the quoted price stayed the same.

When I talked to Sherpa, they sound pretty knowledgeable and upfront with everything so I stuck with them. The pickup and the delivery were exactly as stated and they kept in contact with me. They picked up the vehicle when they said they were going to be there and it was delivered three blocks from my house. Also, Sherpa covered something. The price was going to go up and they gave their broker fee to the driver.

Our Corolla was picked up at the designated location and time in Surprise, AZ by a pair of friendly and efficient guys. It was carefully loaded and tied down and with a wave, off they went. They delivered the car as expected in Ypsilanti, MI 6 days later in perfect shape. This was our first experience transporting a car and we were understandably trepidatous, but all went according to expectations and we are relieved and very happy with the professionalism of the broker and the trucking crew.

I love Sherpa. I'll be using them twice a year, ongoing. I'm gonna travel out to Scottsdale in October, and travel back usually around April. And I've had two good experiences with both truck companies that they contracted with, and their guys. The second time around, the job was picked up right away, so I got nervous. And then, they use what they guarantee. “Hey, if nobody picks it up right away, we'll chip in.” It's 100 bucks, and they did. And then, somebody picked up the job. Everything went as they advertised. And I was thrilled with everybody I've ever dealt with in their company.
When I started this process October last year, I had no idea how it all worked. They were my fourth company. There was one other that I felt good about. I actually went with her originally. But come to find out, they didn't have enough staff. And she was overworked. It was throughout the weekend when I was waiting for this bid to get picked up. She wasn't calling me back. And she said, “Oh sorry.” I was out of cell service.” I was like, “What? This isn't reliable. What happens if something happens to my car?” She didn't explain the whole bidding process to me. And when I couldn't reach her, that's when I called Sherpa. I was able to drop her and pick Sherpa up because they guarantee you within so many days I would get picked up.
I'm very grateful that I found Sherpa. They were the first company to explain the process to me. I thought they hire people, or they had truckers to do this. But I didn't realize they put this out on a billboard, and then people pick it up. They were the last company I called. And nobody else took the time to explain the whole process to me. That was one that was very meaningful to me. Because right away, the guy took the time to say, “Well, if this is the first time you've ever done this, let me explain the process to you.” My bosses have very nice vehicles. It's a new Porsche. And I was very nervous. Because if something happened, it would be like, “Well, why did you hire this terrible company?”
I want people to know about Sherpa because they are reliable. Every time I call, it’s a young guy who is good at sales. You could tell why you put people in that role to answer the phones. But they're knowledgeable and friendly. I can always say, “Hey, I spoke to so-and-so last time. Is he around?” “No, he's not working today. But you can call back tomorrow,” or, “He'll be in this afternoon.” It's a well-organized company. And it's an important thing when you're hiring somebody and putting your $100,000 vehicle in somebody else's hands.

I looked online at some different ratings, and Sherpa was rated high on a couple different sites I found. Their reps were very clear and helpful as well. They gave me a quote, and that's how much I paid. It was exactly what they said, which was 1,000 plus 300. Also, the driver was very good at his job, and I highly recommend him.

I had a good service. I spoke with the driver during pickup, and a different person delivered it in Texas because the person who picked it up had to transfer to a different trailer. After that, I had most of my interactions with the dispatch team at Sherpa.

Set up for a transfer of a New luxury vehicle from New Haven, Conn to Georgetown, Tx. Sherpa has a truck located within 24 hours and picked up on the day I specified. Said it would take 6-7 day for the transport but he actually arrived on day 5. Vehicle was in great condition and dropped off at my house. That was 1,900 miles of job well done.

The driver was nice. He picked the car up on Wednesday, he spoke for a second, and next thing I knew, the car was here Tuesday. It went from Pasadena to Orlando and it was fast. However, it would have been nice to communicate a little better 'cause I rented a car three hours before I got a call and was told that my car was here. Also, when I picked the car up, it was dirty and the air pressure in one of the tires was low. It was just 'cause I needed tires though. Other than that, the car was good.

The driver did a good job. I wasn't there, so I have to applaud him for handling it. I had my girl go outside and point him in the direction and he took care of unloading it. It was easy to work with Sherpa and the quote that they gave me was exactly what it came out to be. The only thing that caught me off guard was they told that I would be getting a 12 to 24-hour phone call from the driver. The driver called me the morning of, saying that he was out in front of my house. I had no idea that he was going to be there. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone to work first thing in the morning. I wouldn't have had my girl jump out of bed 7:00 in the morning to get the car. If I knew, I would have just been up for work, and then, I would have stayed home an extra half an hour and it would have worked out great.

There was a company who suggested and connected us with Sherpa. Their customer service was good. There was only one time that we called and couldn't get through. It must’ve been really a busy time. But other than that, they let us know when they were coming, when they picked the car up and when they were an hour away from our house. In the beginning, we had a lower quote but with the snow birds going north, it was high season and they told us to lock it in. We locked it in a month ahead of time. So, they did save us some money. They did a great job and they were very professional. If we have to use them again, we'd use them.

Every aspect of the Sherpa experience was perfect - the car was picked up within our requested 2-day window; the driver called between 12 and 24 hours prior to pick-up, as promised, and kept us informed as he approached. The enclosed 18-wheel transport vehicle was immaculate, inside and out. The driver was courteous, helpful, and efficient - the loading process took half an hour, including inspection and paperwork. The vehicle took 5 days to reach its destination cross-country, arriving punctually and in pristine condition. Sherpa exceeded our expectations, and we recommend it highly.

I called a few shipping companies and they seemed a little shady. They were a little bit too excited for my business. I did a little research online and I found out that the guy that started Sherpa had a really bad experience so he wanted to start a company that was a good experience. I figured that if that was the case, I couldn't go wrong with them. I wouldn't go with anybody else just because it was so frustrating with some of the people I initially called.
The guy that I talked to at first told me everything and walked me through the whole process. He got me all the details that I needed and he was good about saying to call him if I needed anything. The driver was good too. Some lady that contacted me let me know when the driver was going to pick up the car and kept in touch with me as far as when he would be there and did so when he came to drop off the car. It was a great experience.

Sherpa ended up bringing my car in a closed container for less money than anyone else and it was awesome. Then, they said they would send me a $50 gift certificate, which unfortunately hasn't worked yet. It should, though, I hope. The driver could speak enough English to call and tell me that he would be there at a certain time. So, it worked out. Sherpa was great.

Sherpa was one of the few that kind of did what they said they were going to do. Everything is a little up in the air with auto transport, but of the group I talked to, Sherpa was by far and away the best. The driver was great. He had a brand-new truck, brand-new van and the guy himself, which is nice, took really good care of the car, trying not to scratch it. I was really impressed with that. It'd be nice to be able to have a guarantee about something, but I understand that's not possible. However, they did better than others that. I had tried dealing with Montway and two others. Sherpa returns calls mostly when they said they would, and they stood behind their guarantee. It cost more than what they thought, so it ate into their margin a little bit, but they stood behind it. For that kind of deal, I was as happy as I could be.

My wife sat down and looked for transports when we were having a car moved from Charlotte to Tennessee, and she found Sherpa. I called and talked to Dylan, and it sounded like they got a decent deal to get the car brought up here, and got them to bring it. They told me it was $525. I've sent in the paperwork to get a $50 rebate, which I haven't gotten yet. But they had brought it down to 475. That was about the same it would take with another company in the area, and I've already talked to a guy that worked with Sherpa and it sounded like it was a pretty good company, so I went with them.
The driver has done very well. He sat down there at 1:30. It's gone by the paperwork. We've drove to Charlotte before and we know it's about a four-hour drive, and the time he left down there, in four hours, he was sitting in front of my door with the car. Sherpa did exactly what Dylan said they would do, so I have no regrets. I got my car here. It was in very good shape when it got here, we went over it and looked at it with the guy that brought it, and everything looked good.
We were very worried. I've never had anything shipped before. My wife and I were sorta worried about how things were gonna go. We had a lot of concerns, but it went exactly like we were told and when they said that they'd get somebody to get it here, they did. Everything worked out perfectly. The car was picked up as soon as we told them that it was ready to be picked up. I had to postpone it a couple times. They still hit the windows and everything they said they were gonna do.

Driver, Michael, was excellent. I had a quick pickup time and he met it. From first notification of pickup time to arrival time at destination, Michael was accurate in his times. He actually got car here 2 hrs earlier than he stated. Very pleased with his service and would definitely use it again.

I started off with a different company and as I started to go through the process, I got contacted by them and all of a sudden, they couldn't find a carrier for the price that we had agreed upon. I'd have to pay an extra $300. I said, “Done. Nope, not doing that. So let's just stop it right here, stop the contract, and cancel.” I started doing more research. This is a really dangerous field. There are so many people out there, and you read the internet, try to get the best indication of who's the best price, who's got the best reputation, and there are landmines everywhere. I looked for the top five best, and Sherpa kept popping up. So, I did more research on Sherpa and then I gave them a call.
I had a wonderful conversation with the saleslady whom I spoke with. She informed me that the company was formed because the owners of the company went through exactly what I went through. Nobody should have to go through that when it comes to probably the second most expensive possession in their life, their car. And “So let's form a company to take all the guesswork out, is honest, and gets the job done right.” I heard that, and I said, “This is the company I want to be with.”
Sherpa's quote was competitive in the market. It was reasonable and there were no changes. Also, they said that if the price that was quoted was not enough to secure a driver, they would cover the cost of whatever the extra cost was. That's a nice feeling and a nice insurance policy for them to have for their customers. When our car arrived, we took our time. We went around the vehicle. The driver even helped me walking around and taking a look, and it looked fine. Don't go through the misery that I went through. Don't spend hours and hours on your weekends, which are precious enough, trying to find the right company. Go with a reputable company and someone who's honest and you can trust. In doing so, you'll choose Sherpa.

I was going with one person, but they kept dragging it out and my due date was coming up. So, I went and looked up some feedback from other people, and Sherpa came up. I went with them and sure enough, they were right there, picked up my truck, brought it up to Pennsylvania, and I never had a problem. I want to try to use the same guy that brought it up here to take it back when I'm ready to go back.
Sherpa's reps made me feel like, “Okay, we're there for you. And we'll help you out the best we can.” They gave me a date. The driver was there on that date and on that time. When he brought the car up, he was here on that date, on that time. The communication was fantastic through that company. Everything was smooth. I'm a satisfied customer, and I'm going to use them when I go back. Use Sherpa.

Sherpa is a good company, but they should get a driver that speaks English. Apart from that, they were earlier than what they estimated and they contacted me. They were able to pick up the car earlier and their delivery time was earlier as well. I was waiting for it, so the earlier, the better.

Sherpa had really good reviews and the guy I spoke with was pretty nice. He knew what he was talking about and told me the steps and how things would work. Everything he said was correct such as them finding someone within a certain timeframe. He helped me with that very well.
I got an email that they would notify me 12 hours to 24 hours before the driver would arrive, but they didn't. I knew the days in between or the days they could be arriving. I waited all day for them and they notified me maybe an hour before they were getting there. I wasn't home then. I had to rush and changed the location of the pick-up because I was closer to the area I. Overall, only the communication when picking up the vehicle wasn’t so good. Other than that, the transport was pretty fast. It was about three days.

They gave me an exact quote and kept me informed throughout the entire process with email updates and reminders to make sure I knew what to do at drop off and pick up. The Sherpa reps were very straightforward. They explained everything, and they didn't try to upsell, so that was good. The driver was okay too. One thing though, I was told when my car will arrive, but I wish I would have been given me an update on the road. Otherwise, it arrived before even the time.

I purchased a vehicle in Texas. It needed to be shipped to Florida. I looked up online and read some of the reviews. The reviews gave me the impression that Sherpa has a wide access to a range of drivers and it seems to have a volume of good business. I decided to hire Sherpa to do the transportation. I was not so impressed with their customer service, though. Whoever I spoke with when they were setting me up, gave me a price, which seemed tentative but not to exceed number. I agreed on that. Later on, the specific person who dealt with their account came back and there were a couple of issues. One was that they tried to give me a higher pricing at the time the shipping was being arranged, which I didn’t accept. It was a back and forth. They came back and said, “Okay, that’s fine. Sorry, we’ll do it, of course, with that price.”
The second issue was that I thought I was hiring Sherpa to transport the vehicle, but I found out that Sherpa was acting as a broker to hire drivers, and my car would be shipped through them, putting me in direct contact with the driver, the company who was transporting, including insurance and everything else, which I didn't want to accept. So, that became an issue. They would ask me to pay directly to the driver. That wasn’t really what I expected. This is not clear on Sherpa’s communication online too. When you hire a company, you think that that’s the company who you’re working with. I wouldn’t accept it. I said, “Listen, I would pay to you, I’m willing to pay upfront, but you need to deal with all this stuff.”
They have a network of drivers. They were able to arrange someone to take care of it. So, there was no problem. The driver was able to deliver the car without a problem. It came in good condition but there were issues that made me worry such the communication and final arrangement. Insurance was another issue. The insurance that I would be getting is to cover the shipment, or subject to which driver that would be carrying the vehicle. The amount and the coverage were unknown to me until after the fact. So, I was hopeful it would be resolved through this type of feedback.

My SUV broke down on vacation, called Sherpa for quote on Friday, finalized contract on Saturday, vehicle was picked up on Monday in San Diego and arrived on Tuesday at my home in the SF Bay Area. Car arrived in excellent condition. Very satisfied with Sherpa!

I've shipped vehicles before and once you put your information online, everybody starts sending you emails. Sherpa was offering rebate at the completion of the move, and they were more in tune to trying to keep cost down as much as possible. Setting up the service was awesome. I had a situation where I wanted to get in the system, but I didn't really have a date to ship. The representative was able to build a plan, and then put me on a no-hold list until I was able to get the information needed to book a driver.
The driver told me when he was leaving, and he showed up. He had an older model vehicle, and it leaked oil. My two vehicles were on the bottom. So, they were filthy. It was because of that car and he explained that. He didn’t try to tell me anything different. I contacted Sherpa today. A part of my contract was I was supposed to receive a rebate on the total amount, but that was dependent upon me mailing the bill of lading to confirm that I had received delivery. Also, Sherpa offered a free carwash, which is why I wasn't too concerned with the driver. They said, “Free car wash on us. All you gotta do is send a receipt.” I was able to do that as soon as I picked the cars up. But I had to mail in the receipt for the carwash as well as the bill of lading for both vehicles, and I did that. I received the refund for the $10 car washes, but I didn't receive the refund back for both vehicle which totals $200. So, I inquired about that.
I'm still waiting to see what the situation is on the rebate. So, the only thing is them following up on what they offered. But my interaction with them is positive. If for some reason I had to move across country again and I was gonna ship vehicles, I would use them. I shipped two vehicles prior too, and we went through somebody else and the price was so high. I felt like we got a better deal with Sherpa. So, I would definitely use them or recommend them.

My antique vehicle was picked up in Jacksonville, Florida then two days later, it was unloaded and delivered here in Oklahoma City. I was very satisfied with Sherpa Auto. It was excellent.

This was my first time arranging for transport of a vehicle I had just purchased remotely. I didn't know the industry and as I investigated providers and learned how the industry works, I was extremely leery. Essentially, the companies are "brokers" so you really have no idea who will be transporting the vehicle until it's "booked". That additional layer in an industry like this would generally spell trouble with regards to communication and execution. I called numerous companies and was very put off by the typical broker I experienced; a lot of "oh yeah, don't worry about a thing" but little on details, little documentation, and very loose in terms of process.
After talking to numerous providers, I'd resigned myself to fact the entire process would leave me riddled with anxiety regarding what it would cost, when and if my vehicle would arrive, and responsiveness in communication from the parties involved. Then I called Sherpa, and spoke with Emmy... and what a breath of fresh air. Articulate, clear communication, well defined process, automated communications and just the warm fuzzy feeling you get when a company clearly sets an expectation and then meets it at every step of the way.
I've been in IT for 20+ years including a decade running call centers and the last 6-7 years focused on process automation... I know well designed and efficient processes when I see them (and they are rare). From Sherpa's website/quote request system, to the numerous and timely email updates (including content, branding and formatting), these folks have a ridiculously well oiled machine. So much so it made me simply trust that they had applied equal attention to vetting the actual transport partners they book with. All of the anxiety I had felt regarding the transportation process simply melted away.
And, as noted, they set an expectation, and met it in execution. The transporter they booked me with also provided good communication and updates throughout the process and met our agreed to expectations for delivery. No issues. The dealer I worked with on the purchase has actually been a nightmare (and side-note, recommended a transport company that was completely unimpressive), so it was great to have the transportation piece move so flawlessly. Thank you Sherpa, I simply couldn't be happier. Side note - Emmy should be training folks, as she really set the standard for a great customer experience on my first call with her.

When I found out that Sherpa was in Charlotte, I said, “Well, that's good because I can get the car picked up in Charlotte and come to DC.” So then I called them and we had the conversation, and they told me everything and how it worked. I said, “Well, Better Business Bureau gave them a very good rating writing. I have never done this before, but here goes. I'm gonna try it.” I hoped it goes right and it did.
Sherpa helped me every step of the way. They got me a transport person. The biggest thing is they keep in touch with you. They tell you everything that's going to happen. And they even explain before you sign the contract and put a deposit. If they say, “We can't find someone to transport your car. We're looking for contractors,” they will call you and say, “We don't have anybody available right now. If you're within a timeframe of wanting your car back, wanting the car to you, you can either wait another week or you can get your deposit back and try us another time.” It worked like a charm, because they even sent me something that said, “Tell us about your experience.” And I said, “If I had to do it again, I’d do it. If someone asked me about it, I will tell them Sherpa, because customer service was over the top.”
Everything was above board. There were no hidden charges. They had one flat fee. That's what you paid, and that was it. The ease of having to actually get this done was the biggest thing. Some people will complain it costs too much. But these people that were complaining with other companies have real complaints, like the car wasn't there one time. They were charged extra money at the end of it. And a whole lot of that, Sherpa did not do. I'm very satisfied and I would recommend them to anybody.

My 20 year old car was picked up in Ohio Friday afternoon and delivered in Arizona Sunday morning. Very quick delivery! Driver and assistant were very pleasant. And my car arrived in Arizona in the same condition when it was loaded onto the enclosed trailer.

When the Sherpa delivery driver picked up the car, we were told we would get 12 to 24 hours’ notice. But he called an hour and a half before he got there, so there was a bit of a scramble. But other than that, it went well.

The sales and dispatch were very helpful, informative and paid attention to detail. They were able to get the vehicles picked up and delivered in the time frame given. Overall a great experience but I also was very flexible with delivery dates as it is not a primary car. Finding a driver took a bit longer but once it was nailed down, it was smooth sailing. Car was received in condition it was picked up and driver was fantastic communicator!

We had a death in the family and we needed to move a vehicle to another part of the country. It was not the first time I've used a transport service, but it was the first time I've used Sherpa. I was really not happy with the guys that moved my first car, but I was happy with the service I got from Sherpa. The driver was very pleasant, very informative, and very helpful, both on this end and when that car was delivered to my sister in Georgia. I got the same reaction from her also that she was very pleased with the service. I got good quality service and transport from the vendor. What I would have liked to have seen some more up front information is about the insurance coverage for the transport. Essentially, the broker didn't come through on protecting my vehicle that was damaged so that was pretty disappointing. So, some more up front information about how that works and who is liable for what would be helpful.

Sherpa had a reasonable and it was veteran-friendly. I'm a veteran and I got my $100 rebate. The representative I worked with was super nice and informative. I don't mind doing stuff online but sometimes it's nice to talk to a person. The rep walked me through things and he made it easy. I got a call the day before that the driver was going to come the next day. I was given plenty of notice and I was given a timeframe of when the driver was coming. The guy showed up within that time frame.
The thing was the driver took the antenna off and didn't tell us that so my son thought it got lost. But it was sitting in the side pocket of his driver side door. If somebody had put a note somewhere or told me about that, that would have been helpful. It was not a huge deal, though. Other than that, everything was great. The process was pretty simple and straightforward. The car got here in good condition and in a timely manner. The quote I was given was also right on the money.

Customer service was friendly and a rep answered all my questions. Both drivers were really nice and very professional. They communicated pretty well about picking up the car and dropping it off. The cost was made a lot of sense. For the distance, it was a fair price. The driver got here fast and the car was in good condition. It was just like the way I gave it to the driver. Sherpa is a good company. We'll definitely refer them. If we ever need it again, we'll definitely contact them again.

I liked the reviews for Sherpa. They also have the clean car guarantee and the $100 visa refund. Plus, they would match the cost up to $300 if it went up. Overall, Sherpa seemed on the up and up. I was getting some really low bids from everybody else and I knew they weren't right. I was reading reviews where people said that the driver would then stick you for the rest when he gets there and I didn't wanna deal with that. I wanted it more of a guarantee.
With Sherpa, everything was fine. If I emailed, they would get back to me. When I called, I had to wait on hold a little bit but that happens everywhere nowadays. My car was picked up at the dealership in Killeen. The driver took a lot of pictures before and after he loaded the car. My salesman also took a few pictures and sent them to me. He said the car got on fine. The driver picked it up on a Friday and I got it on a Monday morning. Overall, I was happy. I even got my rebate on the carwash and the $100 Visa card really fast. I just had to send Sherpa a bill of lading. I would recommend them.

Sherpa had high reviews and I liked their pricing. When their rep arrived, he immediately called me to let me know. In terms of COVID, he was very respectful of keeping his distance. He was also very helpful. He explained to me the whole situation like if there was anything I should be concerned about and who to contact. He was there for me making sure that everything was in place.
As soon as Sherpa got a driver for me, I was immediately contacted and told what was going to go down, how long was the transport was going to take, and the potential timeline of when the driver was going to be here in California to drop the car off. The driver got here a little earlier than expected, which was good for me. He also gave me a call a good day ahead of time to let me know what time he was going to be here. As the day went on, I was just waiting for him. Once he got here, he called me again and I picked up my car. Overall, the pricing was accurate. It was fair and was a little less than a lot of other companies that I looked at.

Sometimes, people will trying to get you to commit without giving you an actual date. I wasn't in a hurry to have the vehicle here by a certain date. I was looking for a sincere answer. After talking to the guy from Sherpa, I felt like he was being honest. He kept his word. Everything he said came to be. The delivery driver called to say he would be here a certain time, and he was here. He showed up and unloaded the truck. It was easy. He made it a little earlier than I thought he was gonna be here. I was grateful for that. I'm having another move, and I'm pretty sure I'll be using Sherpa again. They were reliable and trustworthy. That was what meant a lot to me.

This was my first time ever trying to do auto transport and I don't know if I'll ever do it again. But working with Sherpa made me feel like it was easy and I could do this again if I'd need to. The pickup and delivery were really efficient. The person that I talked to over the phone was really helpful. All of the options were up to me and I didn't feel pushed to do one thing or the other.
The transport was for over 400 miles from Richmond, California to San Diego, California. The driver called me before he was here and he explained the whole process. I sat outside while he finished and let me know that I could go inside the house. Sherpa was definitely a company that I would recommend to my friends and my family because it was super easy. For the $100 rebate, even that process was easy and straightforward.

The transport service was awesome. I called Sherpa early in the week and they had my vehicle here within a week. The rep gave me all the details, which was good, and he helped me. Our call cut off on my part and he gave me a call back, which was great, and set me up. I didn't want to move on to another person, which would not have been a problem, but it was already going good. The driver was excellent. My dad was the pickup and that was great because he speaks Spanish, and the guy was bilingual. My dad was able to interact with him easily and they got the ball rolling. The vehicle left in good shape and came back in great shape. Everything was perfect and I have no complaints. People should go with Sherpa. If my next military move is in the states, it’s going to be with Sherpa, which will be within the next two years.

My vehicle arrived in perfect condition a day sooner than promised. The driver was hesitant to come into the neighborhood due to low tree branches but he was able to park on a side road and still brought the vehicle right to my door.

Great experience from the 1st phone call to Sherpa, who I had used before, to pick up in MT by West Coast Auto and driver Yuri. The only reason I can’t give a 5 star experience is because my drop off date in Maryland was April 7-10th and it didn’t arrive until Monday the 12th. Not a big issue, but could have been a problem if I had needed the vehicle earlier for my business. Otherwise, all good!

The Sherpa representative was totally professional and gave me a quote the first time and it was a match to the final cost. I was having some paperwork issue with the purchase of the vehicle, so they put it on hold for me. As soon as I knew that that was going to be off hold, called them up and found the driver the next day. The transport took a total of five days with the weekend. My expectations were set and then they called and said that they could drop it off a day before. The driver was great on delivery. They checked to make sure that the space in the road as it was coming up. Then he took the car off carefully and inspected it.

The car was a little dirty when it arrived but that was expected 'cause it was outside. The only thing they really could nail down would be the timeframe. But the transport went a lot better than I thought it would. I would highly recommend Sherpa Auto Transport and if I'd send the car back down, I'd do it again with them.

The 1974 Lincoln showed up and it was perfect for being 47 years old. Everything was great. I even have it on video when the driver pulled up.
