SGT Auto Transport Reviews

I reached out to a couple of companies, got quotes, and picked SGT as it suited me best. The quote was the most reasonable. There was one company that had a lower quote, but they didn’t seem as well established and didn’t have a very good review base. I found SGT Auto Transport from a website that ranks the five most positively reviewed auto shipping experiences.

The representatives at SGT Auto were good. They transported my vehicle from Florida to New York. The car was the same as when it left. It was a good experience. I would use them again next time when I have to bring the car back down.

I’ve only used SGT once. I looked among five transport companies and chose them due to the price. A guy picked the vehicle, loaded it up, and hauled it here to Wisconsin. He was fast. I thought for sure I’d beat him home with an airplane, but he beat me here. He brought the vehicle right where I needed it to be. I just had to call my wife to say he was going to beat me home. He did a really good job, and I probably got lucky with a good driver.

SGT Auto was right in the ballpark when I went out for bids online. My truck needed to be transported around 700 miles to Michigan, and they did a great job. We had one little hiccup, but it was on me. My new neighborhood is gated, so there was a little problem with the gate. I felt bad that I stalled the guy a bit while I figured out how to get him inside. I had a good customer experience, and they provided very high-quality service for the cost.

I checked three or four transport companies and went with SGT because of their price. It was pretty inexpensive. I expected a little bit less, but I thought whatever they were quoting was the market rate. Customer service was good and the delivery was faster than what they promised. It was a 3,000-mile move and it took about five days. The driver also texted me the location we'd meet. It was good.

I was currently in the process of moving from California to Connecticut, and I needed to ship my car. I looked online at a couple of auto transport companies, and I went with one a month prior to using SGT, and I was scammed, and it made me really nervous about the business and not knowing who's real and who's a scam. Then I saw that SGT had a lot of great reviews, and that it was one of the top-rated companies, so I thought, “Oh, this couldn't be a scam," so I ended up going with them.

I had to send a car to California for my daughter. The original pickup was in Miami, and it was scheduled to take four to five days, but it took six. The courier driver explained it was because of bad weather, so all was good. The quote to the final price was 100% accurate. Use SGT if you want a car shipped and have a good service.

I have used SGT Auto Transport a year ago and I liked their service so I used it again. I had to move an SUV from Michigan to Texas. It was an overall perfect experience. Their customer service reps answered calls and replied to texts, and the delivery was good. If I have to transport my vehicle, I will use them again.

I did my homework and saw the great reviews but I have not had a great experience. I had my son’s car sent to him while he is attending a stressful military school. We scheduled pick up for 1/28. They called us on Saturday to offer us a pick up on 1/26 (Sunday). We had plans but we agreed to the new date and canceled our plans. They did not communicate with us on Sunday and the driver did not contact us for pick up (we waited all day). We heard from them on Monday were rescheduled for that day. Nobody came. By surprise the driver showed up on Tuesday. Fine, we were just happy to get our son’s car transported.

I’ve already transported three vehicles with SGT, about 1,000 miles from Texas to Florida. They offer a good price. The customer service was good. But some hiccups need to be fixed. The information needs to be clear. They said that the vehicle would be picked up on a certain day. Then they changed it. I gave specific information to the personnel like, "Hey, I'm working. Can they pick up my vehicle by this time?" But then I received a phone call early in the morning, "I'm going to pick the vehicle now." And I said no, because I said in the afternoon, not in the morning. That's the type of communication that needs to be fixed.

I needed to transport my car from Philly to New Jersey. I was looking on Google and found SGT Auto Transport, and saw that it was not expensive. The customer service was good, and they gave me a lot of information about the procedure I wanted. The first quote I received was around $200, and when I confirmed everything, including cost, fees, and tax, it came to $135. My car was shipped via open transport, and the pickup was nice.

SGT Auto Transport is the way to go. They were the only service that did what I needed at a good price. I was moving across the country, I wanted a service that would let me basically fill my car with an unlimited amount of weight, and SGT was one of the only services that offered that at a reasonable price. Most of them had a 100-pound limit. The pick-up driver was professional. He had to park a little bit further away from my house because it was a big truck and my street was very small. But it was perfect. He told me where to go, and I just drove my car onto the truck, so it was simple, and my car arrived in perfect condition.

It was a very good experience with SGT. I went with them because I like their quote better. I basically purchased a car in another state that was a way away. I needed to get it to Virginia.

I chose to use SGT because when I did a price comparison between a few companies, they had the most reasonable price. The driver who picked up the vehicle was very friendly, and he did a good job. And the driver who dropped off the vehicle was fine, but he did call me before he dropped it off and solicited a tip, which I thought was weird. And he said that he took care of my things, because I had things in my car. And he made it seem like he stuck his neck out for us by taking the stuff in the car, even though we had paid extra for that service. I still tipped him, but I just thought it was a weird conversation. 

Because of previous good experience, I decided to use SGT again. I’ve used them four times now. And they were just efficient, and the communication was good. Their prices were also reasonable.

I shipped a Porsche Macan from Atlanta, Georgia to Portland, Oregon. I had no problem with SGT. The price was fair. They did a good job, and it was fast. They called when they picked it up and I could track where they were, which was cool.

I used SGT to transport a vehicle from Ohio to Michigan and it was all done in the same day. I had a mechanic look at it before it was sent, so I had good sense of the vehicle's condition. There was a couple of surprises when it was delivered, but I was happy overall. I would recommend SGT to anyone.

But I had three days, and I didn't know what day they were gonna show up, so I couldn’t make any plans to fly out of the state until that was done, so it just made things a little more difficult. It was a great service, though. I flew out Thursday and they came on Monday, which was great. The driver picked up one day and he was at my destination that afternoon. I did AirTags, so I knew where it was. They told me that I could Venmo the gentleman when he got there, but the guy kept saying no Venmo, and we only had Venmo. My sister was able to write a check and then I just Venmo-ed her. He took care of the vehicles. They didn't come with any damage on them, so I was happy with that.

I needed a transport service for a military move, and SGT was automatically assigned to me. The process was easy. The representative asked about what I had and explained the basics of what was going to go on. Then, my vehicle was picked up in Charleston, South Carolina, and transported to Honolulu, Hawaii. It's supposed to take from December 4th until February 26th. The courier driver was professional. They picked everything up, threw it in the truck, and they're off. I didn't really have to touch anything.

SGT Transport is how I got my parts car. It was one of the cheapest quotes I got. I just set up online and then they had some follow-up questions to confirm everything I said. It was a simple and smooth transport. When I had questions, I reached out to SGT. There was one time I was on hold for 20 minutes, but once I got a representative, it was fine. The communication was everything I would expect it to be from the start to the finish.

I needed a motorcycle move. I looked on the internet and basing off of reviews, I chose SGT Auto. I looked at a few other companies, but they seemed more confusing. SGT was straightforward and a little cheaper than the competition. The shipper that they chose canceled my shipment, but it wasn't being tracked. It was something I caught because I only had a short amount of time to be home for when the motorcycle arrived, so I was on top of it. I had to call in and they got me a new shipper quickly. The driver seemed like he knew what he was doing, and the motorcycle showed up unhurt.

I found SGT Auto Transport through Google, and they were really great. They scheduled the pickup within the same week and delivered the car in about a day for a six-hour trip.

I have seen SGT online and decided to try them out. I spoke to a woman there and she was very professional. They got the job done on time like they said they would. The driver was cool. He was in and out and very professional.

The representatives from SGT Auto Transport were very precise and answered promptly. I could also give them a call whenever I needed and they answered quickly. The driver was also cool and took four days to deliver the vehicle. It was delivered in the same condition when it left and the cost was very fair.

Do not believe their price match promise, they do not honor it. I was going to book with SGT, I received an agreement by email, in it was the wrong car information so did not e-sign it. Minutes later I received a signed "copy" by email. I immediately emailed them canceling the booking. Now they have charged my CC $149 for canceling as per the agreement I never signed. Customer service people were either rude or not well-informed. Spend a few extra dollars and go with Montway or other reputable company.

My boss needed a car transported, so I just looked SGT up online. I’ve used another company previously and called them first, but they didn’t get back to me right away, so I just called the next number in line, which was SGT. Setting up the transport was fine. I had no problems. The pickup was in Kemah and the delivery was in Illinois.

I needed to bring the car from Texas to California and back. I set up transport with SGT which was a simple process. My daughter met the driver and my wife over there met the driver. But it’s easy and I like the way the service is. I’ll tell others that if they need the transportation, SGT is a company they can trust.

They list the job and take a cut, and then the person who actually travels and does the actual shipping is some guy who takes a cut as a subcontractor. However, they need to make their business look more legit and make sure no one's getting their car stolen.

I was moving, and I decided to go with SGT after the first company I chose didn’t do what they were supposed to do. I paid a little more money with SGT, but I guess it was fair. I got what I paid for. The delivery was fine, and the communication and service were what it should be.

I was a little bit confused when speaking with SGT Auto Transport about the quote. I had been hearing different things depending on who I was speaking with. But at the end of it, it all made sense and worked out. I had a good experience with the drivers picking up the vehicle. It was easy.

Beware of SGT Auto Transport! Be sure to carefully read the 11-page contract (!) they send you to sign (unlike any of the other 5 auto transport companies I have dealt with). Also, I wish I had looked at their Yelp rating of 3.1 before booking with them. I placed an online order on Saturday, 1/4/24 at 12:32 am and canceled it via both phone and email at 3:41 pm that day.

I originally was using another car transport company but I checked their rating and it wasn't too high. I checked SGT and the website I went to showed that they were number one. They had the thing from the Better Business Bureau as well and a lot of different dealerships use them. They're used to move back and forth across the country and they're probably a lot more reliable than the smaller company that I was picking. They were larger and seemed a lot more reliable and I ended up going with them.

I was not very impressed with SGT. You pay two fees. You pay SGT for their service and then you pay the driver separately to move the car. All SGT is doing is brokering the driver, which they get on a computer. SGT charges more than the driver gets paid for hauling the car. The driver I had was pretty bad about updates. I paid to have the driver show up on a specific date and I didn't get any confirmation. I kept trying to say, "Do I have confirmation? Do I have a driver?" I didn't get confirmation until the day of, and then the driver was like, "I'll be there at 3:00." He showed up at 8:00 at night. All in all, SGT was an overpriced service that was not worth it. They could have pretty much done everything better.

SGT was the most economical for me, which was why I decided to use them. And they were the first transport service I used, and they did a good job. The driver also communicated well and showed up on time, and that’s all I needed. And their price was fine. It was in line with what I expected to pay. So, I had a good experience with them.

We were trying to find some quotes and find something about getting my vehicle moved from Florida to out here in Texas. We were also trying to find a reasonable quote to get it done in a short time. And we got it done with SGT. Everybody else wanted $2,000 which was ridiculous. At the time, I couldn’t pay that much. But we got a good price with SGT. The driver got here when they said they would and everything went good.

My experience with SGT drivers have been fine. But they always try to undercut the company by offering to directly take your vehicle. I never have done it because I just want that guarantee. They gave me a good discount because I was a return customer so I was happy with that. They did it particularly with my friend in Arizona, who then took the discounted rate.

My interaction with their reps has been good. They gave me a quick quote and whenever I had any question, I directly send a message and they reply within 15 minutes. I was quoted around 1,100 which I think is fair. Delivery is on time and it’s near my house. The car was a little dirty but it’s long distance so I can understand that.

We had a job where we had to get a vehicle out to one of our sups in Ohio. And I had a car dealer that I was working with who recommended trying SGT. And our experience with them went really well. They showed up a lot quicker than we anticipated, and they got the vehicle out there sooner than we thought. And when they got it out there, they gave a heads-up to our sup that was out there, and he was able to meet up with them and take delivery.

I was transporting my car from Virginia to Philadelphia. I received the quote from SGT and then I called them back a day later to confirm with them that I would be paying for it and that I had the car and the title.

I wasn’t in town when he did deliver it, so my cousin had to go get the car for me. And luckily, her son was home for them to both pick it up. But other than that, I didn’t have any issues at all. It was good service.

I was really pleased with SGT. They did everything they said they were gonna do when they said they’d do it. The drivers are professional and polite and their price is good and fair. I will use them again and I will also tell others to use them.

I was searching on Google for good places that had good reviews, and SGT was a good fit for what I needed. They also had good, competitive pricing, with no random extra charges. They were actually a little cheaper than a few of the top best-reviewed companies. And they also offered a discount when you paid cash or a cashier’s check when they delivered the vehicle. 

I needed to move a vehicle from Massachusetts to Florida, and I used SGT because their website looked more professional, and their reviews were better. And during the delivery,  I got either a phone call or a text or both. And it was delivered within an hour window. And the two gentlemen who came were really nice. And the vehicle's condition was the same as how we left it. So, everything went well. Their final price was also pretty much on the money, or was actually maybe a little less than the quote.

I used SGT once on uShip, which is like an eBay for shipping. You put stuff out, and then people bid on it. So, this time, I just contacted them directly because I needed to ship a vehicle from Rochester, New York, to Rumson, New Jersey. 

I had hired another company, but the guy I was dealing with in California wasn’t even working for them anymore. So I told him to stick it and called SGT. That’s how we ended up working together.

I chose SGT because of my perception of their reliability and pricing. The representative was persistent, and his level of professionalism was above average. Everything was fine. The vehicle was picked up on Mercer Island and delivered to Indian Wells, California. It was scheduled to take four to five days, but it arrived in three.

It’s been a little over a month now. I got an online quote from SGT by email and later spoke with one of their customer service or sales reps. For the most part, the phone conversation went well.

And the vehicle was fine when it arrived. I’m just a little disappointed because it kept getting more expensive.

Setting up the transport with SGT was pretty easy. I just called. Transport was from Green Bay to Detroit. It took two days. Communication with the driver was good. The reviews were the most transparent, that's why I chose SGT. I had some cars that I was moving back and forth to Portland. It was good. I did two different shipments. The first car that came from Portland, it was super quick. I think the driver got really close to the car in Portland and then dropped the car off in front of my house. It was super quick. Way exceeded expectations. It was a smaller trailer, like a three-car trailer.

Had booked SGT to transport my truck from Texas to Virginia. On the outbound route the driver tried to pickup early and when we said no went radio silent. I had to call on the pickup day to secure another carrier. The return was a disaster that resulted in me finally cancelling and moving to another company. First, they called me as said they needed another 100 to secure a driver. I needed the truck by Monday the latest so after arguing for a while, agreed with a Wednesday pickup. They missed Wednesday and guaranteed Thursday. They missed Thursday and guaranteed Friday. They missed Friday and we were told the carrier's truck had a transmission problem (what no pre-planning to find another carrier). They committed Monday and after I called they said in three hours.

I needed to ship a car, so I looked at other companies, but I decided to use SGT because of a recommendation from a friend. And my experience with their customer service was good. It was easy, and they were friendly. Their quote was also very reasonable. And it didn't change at the end.

We were moving from New Jersey to Florida. I decided to go with SGT just because I found them on Google and they had good feedback. The transport took less than a week. The driver was awesome. He picked up the vehicle from right down the street, maybe half a block from us. Everything got down to Florida the way it was supposed to. He put it right where he was supposed to. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle when we received it. Everything was perfect. We couldn’t ask for anything better.

Where to start... Not in a million years would I have imagined having a vehicle transported from out of state (Texas to Arizona) going so smooth & seamless, be so affordable, or that everyone I interacted with at SGT would be so accommodating, prompt, straightforward & personable. After 21 years & 190,000 miles, the car I bought new with 5 miles on it & had been with me through every high, low & in-between moment of my adulthood, took me on our final ride together last month. Three weeks later, I found a beauty & knew she was the one. However, she was 2 states away.

My experience with SGT was great. The driver was friendly, dropped it off close as he could. My interactions with the customer service representative were very helpful. The quote they provided was very fair. Communication with the driver through the whole process was very easy. I would recommend SGT.

I purchased a vehicle online in a different state, and I needed it shipped to Florida. I shopped two or three auto transport companies, and SGT’s price was competitive. Also, their response seemed to be prudent. I had good communication with their representative, and they were prompt. The driver contacted me and gave me an ETA. Because we live in the country and live off of the main road, I went out to meet him. He was already there waiting and had the vehicle unloaded. It was a little dirty, but it was fine.

WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. First of all, it took NINETEEN (yes 19) whole days for me to receive my car. I was calling about 10 times a day to receive updates on where my vehicle was & when the eta for delivery was & the SGT workers barely had any information to give me. They claimed the driver & their company weren’t communicating with them so they couldn’t provide me any updates. The truck driving my car broke down on the way from Vegas to New Mexico & my car was stuck there for 15 days. Instead of calling a different truck company to come pick up my car & deliver it the rest of the way to Dallas, they let it sit at the auto shop for those 2 weeks while constantly reassuring me that the truck would be up & moving soon.

My friends moved, they came from Philadelphia to California. I heard that they had a really good smooth transaction. I thought that we should call when we’re moving from Vegas to Texas. So we called SGT Auto Transport, and it was very good. Setting up the transport was very smooth. It’s not difficult at all.

After specifically asking the salesman if I could cancel the job without a service fee he said 100% yes I could cancel with no fees. Turns out he lied and they charged me even though I did not use the service. Complete scam company. I should have known when they said for another 400$ we can find a carrier "sooner". DO NOT USE.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fairness of their quote. The service was very dependable and fast. They picked up my vehicles on a Wednesday morning and delivered them by early Saturday.
