Everything was fine except they didn’t pick the car up on the day designated. They picked it up the next day. Other than that, everything went well. The driver was courteous and my grandson picked it up in California and he said they worked with him because he is in the Marines and he can’t just leave the base at the drop of a hat. Thank you.

Horrible customer service, they wouldn't answer my emails after I had the car booked to be picked up. Then it took 1.5 hours for them to answer the phone and the rep was nasty, stating he didn't know when it would get delivered, as he can't control if there is a natural disaster. He was a complete jerk. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!!

They provided the dates for pick up and missed both dates. They said it would be expedited. All I received was it is waiting to be dispatched. I have medicine in my car that is needed and no urgency, alternative recommendations for delivery was offered. The call center puts you on long hold times (13 min plus) then will tell you to leave a message and no one calls back. I was asked to be transferred to a manager and left two messages with no call back. For a service business this was the worst experience I've ever had when it was urgent that the dates they gave where upheld. It appeared they are a large broker who does not control much of what is happening and the driver selection is who they get off the network when the next independent driver is free. Terrible service when all I wanted was to get my car shipped and received on a timely basis and was happy to pay for it.

Updated on 01/10/2020: This has been a long, drawn out process all due to the way Roadrunner operates. First of all the pickup and delivery dates agreed upon when I paid my money went out the window and my car was FINALLY picked up 4 days later. I haven’t heard from one single person from this company regarding information and/or just a simple courtesy call. I appreciate the fact that my car made it from Point A to B, but this isn’t a company I will ever recommend to anyone. No one responds to emails and or “support requests”. I would at least like half my money back!
Original Review: I scheduled a pickup on Friday for Saturday from Houston to be delivered to Fort Worth Monday. It’s now Monday afternoon and my car is still in Houston. What bothers me most is when I reach out to customer service, all I get is WE ARE TRYING TO CONTACT THE DRIVER. I needed this service which is why I’m reluctant to do anything more at this point, but this is not a good start! I’m hoping it changes by the end of business today.

Waited 12 hours yesterday for car delivery to LA from East Coast picked up 9 days ago, not a single word from company zero followup. Been trying to contact my sales person Nick ** and not a peep from him. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all cost! They are expensive to boot.

Had an excellent experience with Road Runner in transporting our car from Connecticut to California. Staff was very professional, responsive, and courteous. Pickup was on time and delivery was earlier than expected. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely book again with Road Runner in the future.

Overall great experience with car pickup and drop off. Worth it's value and would use the company again. The reason why they are receiving 4 stars and not 5 is because of confusing confirmations coming from customer service. I get that these things aren't definite and it is based on driver and space availability; the issue for me surrounds the conflicting confirmation from multiple people. I was given 3 different pickup dates and times and kept having to reschedule work to meet the driver. I'd say clean this up if possible.

Great communication with company and the driver. Driver was running late to pick up my car so told me to lock it up and hide the keys and let him know where the keys was hidden. His car trailer couldn’t make it down our street so he unloaded the car and drove it down to my house. Thank you very much.

I made a booking on the 18th for $645 to transport my vehicle. I was assured by Collin they would be able to find a carrier by the 23rd because they didn't work weekends, despite my booking confirmation for the 21st. I stayed home all day waiting on the 21st and no carrier contacted me nor arrived to take the vehicle. I was later contacted by Jason who attempted to extort me to a new price point of $921 to pick it up on the 26th. I was contacted AGAIN on the 26th by Jason who tried again to charge me $921. I have multiple texts and emails that verify my booking dates and price. These business practices are a text book example of BAIT and SWITCH. This amounts to consumer extortion and I want to warn everyone who is considering this company.

I was very happy with Road Runner transport. I was going to ship 1 year ago, but I was uncomfortable with the companies I spoke with. Recently my son in Joplin, Missouri needed our car. I started looking again, and came across the same mistrust for the companies I spoke with. Then I read a very recent review on Google about how happy someone was with this company. I called them and was very happy with how professional they were, how their price did not change as we spoke and planned the transport. The driver that picked my car up in California was very nice, professional and courteous. The transport was supposed to take five days. My son had our car in 3. He was happy I was happy. They charged my credit cards so there was no hassle with cash or certified checks. I highly recommend them.

Driver met me where and when he said he would and delivered the vehicle when he said he would. He was also flexible with respect to where the vehicle was delivered and who picked it up (as I was traveling and had to have a colleague do so for me at a slightly different location).

Worst Processes/Poor Customer Service. I had a delivery date. I waited all day, they did not show up. I called and they told me they "LOST" the product. I asked why did you not call me, they said that person was on vacation today. Really!
We are not able to locate you in our system based on the name, phone number, email and address provided. We are sorry for the confusion; we believe you have us mistaken for another company we do not ship products we transport vehicles.

I had a very good experience with RoadRunner who assisting me with transporting a 2016 Volkswagen to Las Vegas. The vehicle was picked up and delivered the SAME DAY! The driver contacted me prior so I knew when he was coming to the dealership and the customer was thrilled to receive the vehicle the same day. Price was very reasonable and the driver was friendly and easy to deal with--we received the Bill of Lading in a timely manner too.

My vehicle was involved in an accident over 300 miles from my home with the other driver being at fault. State Farm Insurance refused to haul my vehicle to a repair shop both convenient and known to me; therefore, Road Runner was agreeable to transport my vehicle in an enclosed trailer to a repair shop close to my home. The driver also had to front the cash impound fees because State Farm Insurance also refused to pay those since we were not using their towing company. I would not recommend State Farm Insurance to anyone looking for a credible insurance company.

We have been waiting 2 days for our car to be picked up. I have to call constantly to get an update. Currently, the transport truck is stuck on the side of a road somewhere. (End of day 2). I only know this because I keep calling for an update. I was just informed that some "guy" showed up and drove our car to the broken down truck. This seems to be a very sketchy company. They charge the highest rates, and have substandard service. At this time I have no idea if my car is going to make it to Florida.

Absolutely horrible experience! The driver did not call prior to pick, just arrived at the house and called from out front. The day before the delivery the driver hit an overhead gate destroying the roof of my car but never notified me or Road Runner of the accident. Upon arrival at the destination there was no 2-3 hour call, the driver attempted to drop and run but my son caught him. He then tried to alter the pickup and delivery inspection report to indicate the damage was there at time of pickup, again my son caught him doing this. The driver then took off leaving no insurance information, paperwork, BOL or delivery receipt and gave us a disconnected phone number for his company.
My son was able to get a photo on the inspection report however. The repair estimates exceeded the value of the vehicle but in the end I was able to reach a settlement with the Hauler’s insurance company and the car is being repaired however they would not refund the transport cost. Road Runner however never apologized or called me directly or returned my calls. They are nearly impossible to contact once they have your money. I asked them to refund the cost for transport and they refused stating that the vehicle was delivered to its destination. This would be like paying someone to clean your windows and in the process breaking your windows but still wanting to get paid because they were in fact cleaned. I strongly recommend not using Road Runner.

AS I write this my car is five days overdue. We send back our cars constantly and randomly use different services. We have never had a single issue with other carriers. Decided to try Road Runner and now we can't seem to get our car. On top of having a careless and irresponsible driver, who keeps promising drop off times but then doesn't show. The customer service has been horrendous. For three going on four days, we have received almost no call backs until I threatened to call the police.
Then we had a girl call us back and do nothing and not be able to verify where our car was, She was extremely condescending, uncaring and ineffective and it was obvious she could care less where our car is. They have offered no discounts, no compensation and absolutely no help. Disgrace is all I have to say. I understand anyone can get a bad driver, but to have a booking company so uninvolved or caring is truly despicable. DO NOT USE THEM PLEASE!!!

They ghost you after collecting deposit. I've emailed and called 5 times with no response via text or email. Was referred by Mayflower, Allied/United, and multiple others. So much for referrals. Buyer Beware! Ghost with poor customer service!!!

I don’t even know how they brought my car so quickly. A drive that took me two days and they brought my car overnight. Their estimated time frame was a conservative 2-3 days but they delivered next day service and I was thoroughly impressed. Furthermore their driver kept in contact with me throughout and was courteous and personable. I will definitely use Roadrunner to transport my car again in the future.

After the transfer case went out of my truck while on the turnpike in Oklahoma, my wife and I were stuck trying to figure out how to get our truck back to Missouri once we had been towed into Tulsa. My wife is who searched for a way to transport our vehicle and found RoadRunner Auto Transport. We set up the pickup and delivery dates, paid in advance and prayed there wouldn't be any problems. Minor hiccup with an unexpected snowstorm for the driver to get our vehicle but that was beyond his control. He picked up and delivered our vehicle as arranged with me. I couldn't be happier with the service, just wish it wasn't needed. I will be referring RoadRunner Auto Transport to anyone in need of their services in the future.

Roadrunner Auto shipping is a horrible company with piss poor customer service, with Karla being the exception. They will treat you great up until you book a shipment and then you are Crap. Sean is one of the worst and never returns your call once booked and doesn’t give a crap about your shipment. Their drivers are even worse. They don’t speak English, have blocked cellphones and are never on time. It’s been 7 days past my expected delivery date and I’ve had to report the vehicle as stolen. Save yourself a lot of heartache and money, ship with anyone else.

GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE! ZERO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY. If you are purchasing a vehicle from a dealership, go with the transport company that a dealership uses even if it cost you extra. Horrible customer service. I received plenty of insults from a RoadRunner Auto Transport broker because I cancelled my delivery. I had to hang up on him and write this review. This is such a sleazy business that spending a little extra will give you the peace of mind that your vehicle will actually get delivered in one piece. There is plenty of missing information on their website including a cancellation fee. They will NOT give you a time estimate for delivery since they are all brokers and will contract out to whomever has space available in a truck. I decided to cancel my booking because the amount of time it would have taken to get my vehicle shipped from the mid-west would have taken well over two weeks.
Even this company's answers are unclear and you can only get the real estimated time if you booked online. I got scammed by RoadRunner Auto Transport because in put in a reservation because they would not give me a real estimate. Save yourself the headache and stress. Use someone that a friend or family recommends. My information was also sent to a national database for these brokers. I only wanted a single quote, but my information was sent to literally hundreds of shipping brokers who constantly call. Better yet, save your money, buy a plane ticket and drive your car home while making it a vacation. You would have spent more shipping it. Stay away from RoadRunner Auto Transport.

The driver was super nice. I live in a difficult neighborhood for delivery and he got it to my door. He called in advance, set up the time, and dropped off when agreed. East to West coast took LESS than 6 days.

Unlike all of the negative reviews that I have seen posted, I had a very positive experience with American Car Carrier LLC. I had my son's 2013 VW Eos shipped from Alabama to California, about a 1900 mile shipment. I made the shipping arrangements with RoadRunner Transport and they contracted ACC. The driver, Wayne, called on Monday several hours before arrival for pickup and let me know exactly when he would arrive, and he did right on time. Delivery was to be on or before Saturday and he said could be there late Thursday or early Friday. Car delivered Thursday around noon.
Car was on open 8 car carrier and it was dirty, but I expected that. If anyone has ever shipped a car they should expect that and if they want one to arrive clean they should pay the extra cost of an enclosed/covered carrier. Since I had no bad experience with damage but to add to those that did, I do think RoadRunner and ACC or any carrier should uphold their end of the contract to speedily remedy damage claims, whether or not you pay for additional comprehensive insurance.

You found me a driver on one day's notice, after another broker failed to honor its contract. The driver, Yuri, was great, working with my employee to arrange convenient pick-up. He delivered the car to me 3 days later, precisely when it was desired and in a very convenient location.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I placed on order and they confirmed a driver that was supposed to pick up my car on 10/23. The driver called and said they would be by the 24th in the afternoon. When they didn't show up I called the driver and they said they would be by between 11:00PM and midnight. I waited up and they never showed. I called the driver and he said he was 30 minutes out. The driver then called back and said the check engine came on and they won't be able to pick up the car. I tried calling the company and never was able to get through after several times, like 15. I called their reservations line and got put back in the loop and no one picked up. That was after emailing the sales guy 5 times.
Finally after calling the sales line again I finally got someone to tell me that I would have to wait for another carrier. So I called another company and they said my car wasn't even on the board. They told me to give them 10 minutes, it should be easy since most cars are heading south and I want to bring my car north. They called back and found a carrier to pick up my car tomorrow morning and only took a $250 deposit and I would pay the balance when I got the car. Unlike Roadrunner who took the entire amount up front. Horrible customer service horrible experience. I wouldn't have minded the issue with the truck but not to be able to reach anyone and never get a call back is inexcusable. Find another company.

I have have not shipped with Road Runner before but I will be in the future. The truck was in great shape and was 2 days early arriving. Driver was good on communicating and arrived within 10 minutes of the time he had setup our meeting. It's a stressful thing when you buy something from pictures 2000 miles away, for a ton of money, and then worry about it getting there. Road Runner makes the transport link easy, and from now on thats one thing I will not have to worry about. Wasn't the cheapest price but it was the best price in the end! Thanks For A Job Well Done!

Our delivery was not an easy one. 1972 VW bus that was sitting for almost 20 years. Our delivery person (name escapes me) spent 3 hours getting it on the bed and another 1.5 getting it off, in a nor’easter and where we had a power failure. If you have any award programs for your drivers he definitely deserves one. Price was fair, overall responses and communication excellent. Really positive experience. Thank you.

My truck made it safe and sound no damages. However it was 500$ more than I was expecting and there was a lack of communication between the office and the drivers. If you were to use this service which I do recommend ask for the carrier's number for any and all updates about your vehicle’s movement.

The driver provided updates on the location of the vehicle during transport and he made us feel comfortable that our vehicle was going to get to the destination on time. Before I tell you my experience, I find it very suspicious their Yelp page have 350 reviews averaging 1.5 stars while Google reviews has 433 reviews with a 4.6 star average. That alone would tell me to go elsewhere. I've attached pics. I paid top dollar to have my out-of-state car to be delivered. It was a day late (no biggie), but they made me drive 40 minutes away to pick it up.
Their reasoning, there was too much traffic and the DTLA address would make it difficult to deliver. Uhhhhh... it was 2pm on a weekday and if they did just a touch more research, they would have found the DTLA address was on the outskirts and accommodates semi-trucks without issue. What pissed me off the most... I had to drive the car back ILLEGALLY... without plates, registration, nothing! When I called to complain, they essentially said we can't help you because the contract states no refunds no adjustments. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!

I am pleased with the service from RoadRunner Auto Transport. They were very responsive to getting my restored car transferred. They were clear about the details of shipping the car, kept me informed about progress in scheduling, and were quite flexible in meeting my availability. I have 2 words for any potential customers. STAY AWAY. They are liars as well as holding you hostage up to the last minute. The crux of the whole matter is they gave me a price when I booked. When they notified me 3 days before they were to load, they all of a sudden tell me that the cost would be $180 more and any hauler that would load me, it would cost me at least that much. No need to elaborate anymore. Unfortunately, the majority of the hauling business is done by brokers. They all sweet talk to you at the outset and then lie to you at the most important times, just a few days before they are to pick you up. The BEST advice is try to find a private hauler, one who owns his own truck or trucks. They have a reputation to uphold and rely on referrals.

I had recently shipped an SUV using their service from CA to FL. I had booked the shipping a few weeks ahead of labor day and was assured that the SUV would be picked up around labor day. While I was waiting in CA for the car to be shipped, I was told that the only way they could guarantee the dates were if I paid an additional fee, that I had no choice but to agree to, as I was leaving for FL in a few days. They did stick to their schedule but when the car was delivered, I had a big crack in the front windshield. I did also buy additional insurance through them, but after jumping through hoops the last few weeks and completing their paperwork, I am still waiting my check. I was told that the check would be mailed within two days of completing my general release form, but now almost three weeks later, no emails or phone calls are being returned.

Overall services are good, major issue was when you you increased the fee from 895$ to 1095$ the day of transport where I had no choice but to agree. I made my reservation few weeks in advance and I thought I am all set, but right before transport price went up 200$. That was very disappointing.

We had an accident while on a trip where repairs had to be done at the accident location. The vehicle was transported about 1,500 to get back to us. No issues with the transport but the time for pick up delivery kept changing. It all worked out in the end. It was more expensive than other carriers but I didn’t want to use a company that had bad reviews.

The transport truck took forever to let us know what day they will come to get the car. We were told one day and then the guy said he couldn't come until the next day. However, car arrived in good condition and only took a couple of days. Need to work on communication.

When I got to the point of actually booking and paying for the transport, the price went up over a hundred dollars over what I was originally quoted. This was blamed on having to go over a bridge. So, you have some basic bait and switch going on there. The day after my car was picked up (by the way, the car was picked up a day earlier and than it was scheduled which led to some scrambling on my end), someone from Road Runner calls me up and sort of tries to pressure me into buying some sort of extended protection.
I told him I would get back to him on that. He explained that I had to opt in before the car was on a transport -- obviously, he didn't have any actual knowledge of where my car was. I later asked my insurance agent about this extended coverage -- he said it didn't add anything I didn't already have. Basically, Road Runner was looking for a way of wringing another hundred dollars out of me. They probably aren't any sleazier than their competitors but you have to navigate a bunch of shady stuff if you do business with them.

Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience and I would never recommend RoadRunner to anyone, not even an enemy. It was nearly impossible to get a rep on the phone when I would call with questions, mostly calling with concern that a driver still had not been assigned to my order and the shipping date was quickly approaching. I placed the order over a month in advance and my car was still picked up 3 days late. The website underestimated my quote when I booked the trip so it wound up being an additional $300 and I wasn’t informed of this until the day before my car was getting picked up (late).
At that point I had to accept the additional charge because I was so desperate to have my car en route and I had no time left to shop around for a lower quote. The man who picked up my car tried to charge me an additional $200 under the table, which I obviously did not do. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he made me drive my car to him and walk over a mile home — what happened to the door to door service you advertise? My delivery time was said to be 5-7PM and he did not show up until after 11PM with little communication that it would be THAT late. I would give RoadRunner 0 stars if that was an option, FYI it probably should be. Typically I’m not the type to bother writing such a negative review but I’ve been looking forward to writing this one. I feel as though I deserve some type of refund, but knowing this company you’ll probably call me up saying I actually owe even more money so I won’t hold my breath on that.

The movement of my car went fine. Pick-up and drop-off occurred on the days we expected. However, when I booked I thought I was booking definite pick-up and drop-off dates. My daughter was going to college and we needed her vehicle for move-in. We didn't learn of the pick-up time until 2 hours prior. 2 Hours! We are new to this process and assumed carrier assignment would occur when we booked or at least a few days in advance. No way. There little to no lead time. That part was extremely frustrating. Our driver, Omar, was excellent. I can't look beyond the frustration of getting this transport assigned to a carrier. I wouldn't use this method again.

I cannot believe the experience I have been having. HORRIBLE customer service. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. The third party whose suppose to pick up the vehicle confirm my pickup date of 8/31 Saturday called me on the Thursday 8/29 to CONFIRM. Come Saturday 8/31 around 5pm I called them dispatch since I hadn’t heard anything. According to them they attempted to call me again, “attempted” which they did not. He said they called me to tell me they couldn’t pick up my car until 9/2 which I would have remembered that phone call because I had a flight out leaving the state at 12pm so there’s no way I would be okay with that. They never left voicemails. I never received that phone call that they said they spoke to me about the change of date. He then said that he’ll have his driver at my home at 10am Saturday before my flight, fine we can do that even though I’m still extremely upset that they’ve lied about contacting me to change the dates.
Come Saturday I call at 8am and he said the driver will be here this afternoon. So I changed my flight, pushed it back. Called him again at 12:40pm. Keep in mind not ONCE have they called me to update me knowing I have a flight to leave the state. I finally got a hold of the dispatch and now said the driver wouldn’t be picking my car up until 9/3 now!!? Are you kidding me. I’ve already changed my flight since they told me 10am. He then asked me to leave my car in the parking lot of my apartment complex, take a photo and hide the keys under the tire. EXCUSE ME. I did not just pay $1,500 for this kind of service!! Currently still waiting for my car to get picked up and my next flight leaves in four hours. Beyond upset and I’ve tried contacting RoadRunner multiple times and “every representative is busy.” Wow shocker. Left a voicemail to get a call back. It’s been 8hrs since that voicemail and still no call. First and last time working with this company.

In general, paperwork & merchandise get mixed, then they ask for COD after all is paid in full and keep saying they don't have the paperwork without any intention to finding out why as if they are not dealing with a customer after they confirm they are communicating with the owner. I have about 50 days waiting for another overcharges. On another note, I used a different carrier and RoadRunner fabricated false charges using certificates to abusively charge me for false claims.

We contracted with RoadRunner Transport to pick up our car in Massachusetts and deliver to our daughter in college in North Carolina. The person who we booked with assured us it was not necessary to pick up the car one week early as they would have no trouble picking it up on Wednesday and delivering on Saturday. They stated the driver would contact us a few days in advance to confirm pick up and location. When we had not heard from anyone, we called on the Monday prior to pickup. I could not get through to the man who had booked the transport and had to resort to "chatting online" with a customer service rep.
Could not speak with anyone live! They stated that the driver would call a couple hours before pick up on Wednesday. Wednesday came and no call. I finally got someone live to speak with on the phone and they stated they couldn't get a driver but they would keep trying. Thursday came and no driver.... We luckily found a reliable transporter to get the car transported on short notice and quickly. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you are very, very flexible with your pick up and transport schedule.

The ONLY thing Roadrunner Transport is good at is taking your money and giving false promises. The original quote went up multiple times, they were MIA and no communication on the first “scheduled date”, jacked up the price for a “re-route“ with another trucker, once again MIA for the second “pickup date”. The 3rd date was a 12 hour window that we took off work and another NO SHOW! Our calls were finally answered with a rehearsed line ("We will call you with updates information when we receive it"). What a JOKE. This is not rocket science. Other companies can seamlessly ship items and communicate. So I’m not sure why auto transport companies can’t. We had to rent a car and the ONLY time they contacted us is after we called our credit card company to report the fraud and cancel payment. Do NOT use RoadRunner.

To start, we called last minute to arrange the shipping of our car from Ohio to Arizona. We called on a Monday and had our pick up day arranged for Wednesday. After waiting the whole day, they never showed up. We left the car with a friend. After all day of waiting, they picked up the car on Thursday at 10pm. They said the car will arrive on Tuesday the following week. The car arrived on Monday! Super fast! Luckily we were there! We have mix feelings! It worked out well, but it was a little bit stressful! There was a disconnection between customer support and the driver! And customer support has limited hours, but the driver comes at any time.

I would give them five stars but for the fact that they quoted me $695 but I ended up paying $766 because there was only one driver available in the last few days before my departure date, and I had to either use his services or leave it to find someone else. However, RoadRunner informed me in advance and also gave me an option to either take up that offer or they would search something else for me. I hired RoadRunner to transport my son's Honda Civic from Raleigh, NC to Plano, TX. The agent gave me a good price and asked for the date I want the car to be shipped. The booking process was very smooth. The Truck Driver came on the date promised and picked the car. He dropped the car in 2 days. The driver was very cooperative. He drove the car to my house since the Truck could not reach the house due to sharp turns. Overall my experience was excellent. I would recommend RoadRunner Auto Transport to anyone considering this service.

I received an online quote and then a booking confirmation for $595 to ship a car from northern CA to southern CA. The booking confirmation was a binding contract, complete with terms and conditions, and it explicitly stated that the shipper agreed to ship the car for the price stated in the contract. 4 days before the car was supposed to be picked up, I received a text that a trucker had been selected and to call to confirm pickup. When I called, I was notified that the price was going to be $925 and not the $595 in the shipping contract. I was told that because of the location of the car that they were having trouble finding a trucker willing to take the job. I was also given a bunch of fake excuses about them trying to contact me about the price change. I had email and phone records of every contact with the company, and there was not a single conversation about pricing.
The company representative was extremely rude when I complained about their breach in contract. As others have noted, I was on hold for 15-30 minutes every time I called. When I called to cancel the shipment, I was told that I was issued a contract that had not been reviewed by a human, that I had ignored repeated calls (not true -- I did not have a single voicemail message), and, when I said we were going to drive the car ourselves because of our limited budget, the representative said, "good luck with that" and hung up on me.
I am DISGUSTED with the service I received with this so-called "business." DO NOT trust a word they say when you're getting a quote, and don't believe that they'll honor a binding contract if their pricing estimate wasn't accurate. If the amount of money we're talking about was more than $595 I would be in court suing them for breach of contract. But these liars and amateurs are not worth any additional time or effort on my part. I will tell anybody and everybody I meet who is needing to ship a car to stay away from RoadRunner Transport. No wonder these folks aren't BBB accredited.

First, the online quote was changed upon scheduling a pick up time by nearly $200 more, claimed the online software was updated for the new costs and auto type, which is a requirement to enter to get a quote. Secondly, the pickup date kept on changing, and when it was finally picked up it was by a completely different carrier than they originally promised. Thirdly, the so-called online tracking of the vehicle is completely bogus and provide ZERO tracking or progress as to the status or location of the vehicle, which a simple GPS device could accomplish.
Fourthly, attempting to get a hold of a human on the 800 number is literally impossible and when you get a hold of anyone, no one has any information and they claim need to get a hold of driver for an update that never happens. You're left in the dark. Fifth, my vehicle was delivered late and never received any updates from the driver to help determine potential revised delivery dates or times. Zero communications so you end up sitting around with no information.
In closing, I cannot seriously recommendable to anyone this service given my experience. Everyone is very pleasant when booking the transport but that where it ends. These are easy things to fix but there seems to be a lack of interest given the demand for transport in the U.S. so we are forced to accept marginal service. Unfortunately I have used other transport carriers and I was hoping Roadrunner would be slightly better or different but I can honestly say not much different. Unless you go super premium open transporters are all relatively the same marginal service. So hold your breath be patient and allow 2-3 extra days from your promised delivery date to receive your vehicle. Oh yes, did I mention no one is there over the weekend to answer your calls or online, ZERO communications.

The driver turned out to be a "car buff" and since we was familiar with my vehicle had some helpful information and also offered to help me with anything I needed in the future. I contacted Road Runner transport about shipping my 280ZX turbo from my engine builder back home to me. They promptly gave me a call back, listed out their various options, then gave me a callback number to the same rep so I could review the options in email format. Once I made my decision, I called them back, completed the financial transaction. Next day, I got a call from the driver assigned to pick up my car, saying that he has reviewed and understood the shipping request, and he had already contacted my engine builder to pick it up. Smooth process. The driver also contacted me, and set up a good location to need up, so he could drop off my car, and his truck wouldn't fit where I live. Would recommend to friends, family, strangers, and car enthusiasts.

After I was given my total quote to ship my car they said that there weren't any hidden fees or surprises and that the quote price would NOT change or even be a possibility that it would change. UNFORTUNATELY I get a call about a week later which was the day BEFORE my vehicle would ship out on Saturday. They told me that Saturday was no longer available and that they would have to ship it out until Monday AND that they would have to charge me an EXTRA $50 that the driver was requesting because of my address location after I had already given them my destination address so that shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone.
I was promised that my amount would not change from the beginning and yet they did charge me more AND also had to get my vehicle shipped late. The man on the phone was careless and was not considerate at all about my situation and to add the cherry on top my vehicle was poured with oil all around my roof and driving area because the car on top of mine was leaking. Never again will I bother with RoadRunner!

I was very pleased with my Road Runner Auto Transport experience. The driver picked up my vehicle & delivered it within the 2-4 days that was promised (actually much sooner than expected). All expectations were explained in the contract agreement. The only negative I have to comment on is that I forgot to remove the Toll EZPass from my windshield. Every toll sensor that was driven through by the carrier was recorded & charged. A reminder to the customer would have helped prevent this. All-in-all; a very good experience!

Looked for shipping company that moves cars. Contacted RoadRunner. Sales person called back, told me they had moved a car for me from WA to HI. I had no trouble with that move. They were not the lowest price but I was looking for a shipper that could I could trust. They picked up the car when they said they would and delivered it two days ahead of schedule. The gave adequate notice of pickup time and drop off time. One recommendation is that their staff be educated on understanding their contracts with their customer. Also, I was surprised they did not try to sell me insurance when I hired them but they did follow up to sell me insurance.

Don't believe the reviews on their website. They're all fake. This is the worst company to deal with. Lies, lies, lies. They'll call you right away to book. Then won't answer their phone afterwards. Booked a vehicle transport one month in advance. I called seven days before to confirm - they said they would be there. Double checked three days out - said they would be there. Called the day before the requested pickup date - "we'll be there tomorrow“. Each time I called I was on hold for at least 30 minutes.
Day of the pickup - NO SHOW. Tried calling. Nobody would answer. If you press 2 for sales, someone will answer. Sales guy says, I don't think we'll be able to do the job. Delaware to Denver was the route. My son is in the military being transferred to Japan. I was trying to have his vehicle shipped to me to store while he's gone.
Now the vehicle is parked at the Philadelphia airport. I'm going to have to fly to Philadelphia and transport/drive it to Denver myself. A week later, Road Runner is sending me emails saying, "We have your car scheduled to pick up." There's a link to click to "cancel" the reservation. So they can charge you a cancelation fee. Avoid this company!!!! Believe the 1-star reviews. The 5-star reviews are fake. Don't get taken like me. Keep looking for someone else.

I contacted RoadRunner about transporting my vehicle. I only needed to transport it 135 miles. I was given a quote of $395.00. I was charged $495.00. After I confirmed my carrier I get a call back that said they would be there on the 3rd of August to pick up and deliver the same day. When I told the customer service representative that I had requested the 1st of August they said sorry and they would get it taken care of, it is now 31st of July and I do not have a carrier for my vehicle and I have already been charged $495.00. Beware these people are con artists.

This is been an awful experience from start to end. Initially, when I was looking for a transportation company I signed up on moving.com and a bunch of companies (National, Fidelity, Nexus, etc.) reach out to me. They were quoting me $775 for my BMW and I contacted RoadRunner to see if they could match the price. Sean replied back to me stating “Unfortunately we cannot match that quote, the market price of this route is $895 and if we book you a reservation for any less than that there is a very good chance the vehicle will never get accepted by a carrier. The individual carriers set the prices so if the price isn’t right then the vehicle doesn’t move. A lot of companies will give you unrealistic quotes just to trick you into agreeing to a contract and then they will raise the price at the last second, I myself have dealt with a few different clients in this exact situation with Fidelity and other companies as well.”
So believing what Sean had said, I decided to the higher price and to go with RoadRunner in hopes that my car would be shipped promptly. Of course, they were very responsive in the beginning, before I booked their services, but after booking, it was very hard to get in touch with them. I booked my car on July 9 and did not get a carrier until July 18, which I thought was OK until they said that they would have to raise the price to $1061, which they explicitly said they would not do in the email exchange above. When I questioned the new price, they said that “this is the new market price and that all shipping companies use the same database to book the carrier and there for any other company would still charge me the same”.
Desperate to get my car, I agree to the new price of $1061. About a day later I was notified that the carrier was no longer available due to “unforeseen circumstances” and that I would have to wait until another carrier was assigned. Fast forward to July 25, the day I’m supposed to get my car from 7 PM to 9 PM window, and the carrier gives me a call, at 8:40pm, stating that they will be 2 1/2 hours late. Again, I will not be using RoadRunner's services ever again. I would caution anyone looking into using their services or any other transportation services for guarantees on pick up, delivery, and price. You may even save more money if you go to uship.com and communicate with the carrier yourself.

They give you a low bid, have you enter your credit card information and confirm you for your shipment. Then they come back and give you a much higher price and say the system generated a mistake. When you ask them why they did this they go into Looney Tunes ridiculous mode. "Do you know how many zip codes there are in the United States, no one can possibly get all that right." So you go back and decide to ship it from a nearby town, 50 miles away, totally different zip code and once again they give you a low bid, ask you for your credit card information to confirm. Then come back and say, "Whoops, must have been an error, the shipping price is actually far higher. Do you want it or not?"
OK, two mistakes in a row huh? So you try it a 3rd time, completely different zip codes, and once again they do the exact same thing - Low Bid - High Bid game. Low bid to get you hooked, High Bid to sell it to you. These guys need to be investigated for their predatory practices. You have been warned. DO NOT TRUST ROADRUNNER AUTO TRANSPORT. CON MEN!

Absolutely terrible. I had a pickup scheduled weeks in advance. Two days before the scheduled date they tell me they can't pick up the car on that date and wanted to pick up the car today, two days earlier than the original scheduled date. After I reluctantly agreed, no one ever called or showed up for the car, I called many times and could not get a hold of anyone. Their failure to pick up the car as scheduled cost me an additional $600 dollars since I had to do a short notice shipping with another company. Do not ship through RoadRunner Auto Transport.

RoadRunner Auto Transport...overpromises, underdelivers. Promised pick up by a date, didn't deliver. Quoted one price, didn't deliver. More expensive. Both cars got damaged in transport - didn't compensate for damage to both cars. If you use them make sure you pay the extra for their insurance. You will need it. Dealing with customer service - slow. Claim service - poor communication. I had to email them. It was as if they were hoping I would simply go away and not worry about the damage to my cars. Top to bottom, terrible customer service, can't trust their prices or timeline, or their communication. They fail to follow through just about every step of the way. Find another auto transport.

I needed to move a vehicle from TN to FL and began to go online to get quotes. The first quote I received was from RoadRunner Auto Transport (RRAT). The amount quoted was $665 (the HIGHEST out of ALL quotes I received). Prior to making a final decision I began to receive multiple emails and phone calls from various auto transport companies. Once I began to receive other quotes and to my due diligence and research on these companies I soon learned that RRAT was by far the most expensive.
On Monday, June 10, 2019, at 4:44 p.m. (EST) I received a phone call from RoadRunner Auto Transport. The Salk came from 832-648-2296. The man on the phone asked me if I planned to use their service and I told him I’d received a few other quotes that were at least $200 cheaper. He then tells me that I needed to do my homework on these companies. I told him I had done that. He then says, "well it’s obvious you have never transported a car before!” I then told him I’d shipped a car from TX to TN and had no problems at all. He then said “well if that company was so good why don’t you call them!" And HUNG UP IN MY FACE!
His response was unprofessional, rude, arrogant and MEAN! I was SHOCKED! I could not believe that he hung up and had been so rude! I believe I dodged a bullet on this! Thank GOD I didn’t choose to use this company! STEER CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE!! BAD NEWS! RUN! DO NOT WALK! Find any other company to do business with!

This company did not live up to any of their promises their procedures. The salesman who supposedly was “my salesman” through the process never returned any phone calls. The fake person in the chat room online never responded to countless chat requests. The vehicle was not picked up on time and was then delivered 4 days late. And the RoadRunner tracking system never noted that my vehicle was picked up even after it had been. Thankfully the carrier maintained contact with me and through many issues never ran from me in getting the vehicle delivered finally. Although it was damaged but again they are standing by to reimburse me for all repairs. Use RoadRunner at your own peril!!!! They suck!

Driver who picked up the car was friendly and efficient; was in contact with me the day before and the morning of the pick up to coordinate details. Car was delivered in good condition and within the timeframe indicated. Some brief confusion at the final destination when when we were told that we had to bring a cashier’s check before the car would be released, even though the full amount had been paid in cash to the driver that picked up the car (and this was reflected on the paperwork). Fortunately a brief conversation with the driver resolved the problem. It seems unusual to me in this day and age that a credit card cannot be used to pay for a service such as this.

I was called that they were picking the car up in Kearney, NE AFTER it was picked up AND delivered to Shelby, NC, Asked about it. There was no response. I know this will not be used but here it is. Charged and extra premium because you could not pick up on schedule. CROOOOKS.

Driver was very easy to work with and I only saw him off load the car. He was very careful. I purchased the car without seeing it. The first time I saw the car was when it delivered here. There was major damage on the hood, deep cut and large paint missing. The driver needs to follow standard procedures in that he should have looked the car over and taken pictures. I got pictures from the sales person but no close up. I asked the dealer if the damage was there on the car before it was delivered but I got no answer. I will ask the sales person if she saw the damage. My "Feeling" is that the driver did not do it but I don't know.

Honda Accord 2008 Review - The entire process was extremely smooth and well organized. The driver showed up on time and was very courteous, he looked at the car, made sure everything was in order and loaded the vehicle onto the shipping ramp, I asked for a customer copy of the confirmation and did not hesitate to provide one. Once on the transport, he checked the wheels to see if they were securely fastened. The very next day to my surprise, I received a message saying that my car would be there tonight! Very quick, the car and all my possessions that I stored in it were intact. All in all an excellent job.

I booked them 3 weeks ago to transport my car from San Diego to Houston. This was for my daughter who just finished school and was coming home. They never picked up the car, are extremely difficult to contact and she just left the car with friends and flew home. Now I'm faced with trying to get the car home. I call them several times a day. When I was able to talk to someone, they just said the same thing each time, "we are searching for a carrier and will let you know when we find one". Despite claiming they had many carriers in the San Diego area, they in fact, had none but kept stringing me along. Don't use this company.

I used RRAT to ship my 2006 Santa Fe to my son who is training in Florida as part of his tour in the US Navy. The transport went quite well. There was a chance for a mix up as I specifically requested a Saturday arrival date as he is in training and I had no idea if he can just "slip out" of his training and collect the vehicle on a weekday. The transport operator told me at pick up that he would be there on Friday morning and that he would have to get permission to stay longer. This was very disconcerting as I had planned this out meticulously for my Sailor. I told him to contact my son and see if it was possible for a Friday pickup. It wound up going well as my son took possession of the car during his "lunch break". This would have been very problematic had he not been able to, but it was resolved so I am quite pleased with RRAT.

Road Runner trucking sent a flatbed from Arts Trucking in Spokane Wa to transport my Blazer to its new owner in Calif. The driver went into my garage and pushed it out to their flatbed. In doing so they bent the door so it would not close properly. After they slammed it repeatedly bending the striker and tearing the metal around it they got it partially closed.
When the new owner got the Blazer a day late and with a dead battery they did not put it in reverse to remove the key. It is a 3spd on the column. I explained this to them when they picked it up and they said they never heard of a 3spd on column and the back tires were flat. The tires never leaked any in the 2 years I owned it. When you google Arts Towing it says permanently closed. I dont think they have insurance or a business license or a legitimate company. Out of the goodness of our heart my wife and I sent the new owner a 1000 dollars to fix the damages so he could fix the Blazer and drive it. Please look into this issue please. Bill **

Driver was dead on time at both pick up and drop off. The pick up was smooth based on my friend who handled it. Took a few pictures, signed something and boom he was off with it. Same at the drop by the time I walked out to the truck the Jeep was on the street. I signed and boom he was gone. Very efficient job. I run a production environment company and I was impressed. The jeep had no damage and it only took 51hrs from Tuscaloosa to San Diego. Last car on and 2nd to last off. Great job.

BLUF: Company does not deliver promised services, does not communicate or respond to inquiries, and will not compensate you if something goes wrong on their end. I booked transport for my vehicle from Seattle to North Carolina and was quoted delivery on May 7th. When I reached out on May 7th the company told me delivery was on schedule for that day, and that it might show up as late as 9pm. It did not arrive that day.
The following day (May 8th) I reached out again and was told no update was available, but there was up to a 48 hour grace period for delivery to account for unforeseen delays (breakdowns, weather, etc). I asked for immediate update when they were able to provide a new estimated delivery time and date. I was told they would contact the carrier and call me back as soon as they had an update. I never received a call.
Today I reached out again and was told that they'd received an update yesterday, that the carrier had broken down, and the new delivery date was May 13th - when I will not be available to receive the vehicle. I was told there was nothing they could do, and that carrier delays were not their responsibility. I was told a manager would contact me. I still have not received any communication from a manager, the service representative could not transfer me and could only flag my account. When I attempted to call the company's direct local number for service I was sent to voicemail and told to leave a message.
Road Runner does not communicate problems, does not respond to inquiries, and has not delivered in anything approaching the promised service. When confronted the company made no good faith effort to ensure delivery as quickly as possible or to accommodate the numerous costs and inconveniences it inflicted on me. One of the worse business experiences I've had in recent memory. Do not do business with this company. Find someone else.

I have done many international vehicle transports, I never expected that a few states stretch would be complex, but it was. Price changed on the date of pick up, a change in date pickup, and the account wasn't showing changes that had been requested in advance. The driver had to be paid in cash, which was never part of the original deal. I had to be the go between, when I paid Road Runner to do that, and all they did was make the arrangement between the driver and myself, and at a steep price on top. I REALLY wish I had a better experience. Problems between the dispatch and the driver are never the responsibility of the consumer to mediate.

My car was delivered 2 days early and filthy. I understand cars getting dirty in an open trailer. But my car was abnormally dirty compared to the other cars. Upon driving it home and washing it there are about 12 deep gouges on the roof. The dirt hid the damage really well. Looks like a chain or strap of some kind hit the roof. The online tracking is a joke. The car has been delivered and the tracking shows the car has not been picked up yet from the dealer. Now comes the hard part to see if anyone acknowledges my e-mails. So far no response from RoadRunner concerning the damage received while in transit. I was hoping for better...

I requested estimated from RoadRunner in mid March 2019 at which time Anthony the dispatcher began to bombard me with emails twice a day and called every other day, I had to tell him don't ring my phone again as I don't need them to remind me of my business. In retrospect a bad omen, desperation is a bad cue point.
I initially booked with Roadrunner on Friday 04/26/2019 for the transport of 2 vehicles, the first on Monday 04/29/2019 the from Pelham Alabama to North Charleston SC to arrive on Wednesday 05/01/2019. I was informed that it would take 24-48 hours to arrange transport, On Monday afternoon 04/29/2019 I called and spoke with a female who informed me that they were working on it and attempted to mislead me by saying not to many drivers come thru the Birmingham Alabama area heading to SC, Untrue! I booked with "Ship A Car Direct" the # 1 ranked auto transport company and had the car picked up on Tuesday 04/30/2019 and deliver on Thursday 05/02/2019 no problems.
Incident # 2 is unfolding as I type this review, I received an text msg yesterday Friday 05/03/2019 at 136pm stating that a a carrier had been assigned and is pending my confirmation to avoid further delays. Called the 516-271-1311 number and confirmed. I was told that I'd be receiving an email with the drivers info shortly thereafter. It is now 12:34 pm on Saturday 05/04/2019 and I've been attempting to contact RoadRunner since 10:35 am this morning to get the drivers info to coordinate the pick up as I should not have to be held up all day while I'm paying someone to provide a service.
No response on 2 different numbers, no response to msg's left, got an email response that said they were issuing a new ticket # !!! No explanation whatsoever! At which time I contacted my financial institute to cancel the pending payment while sending a lengthy email to RoadRunner documenting the event for legal purposes... That was at 11:32 am today May 04 2019 then at 12:10 pm I emailed them again cancelling the transaction altogether. It is now 12:46 pm I have not heard via phone or email from RoadRunner.
I've since called Ship A Car Direct who is currently working to provide transport of vehicle #2 from North Charleston SC to Only MD. Please don't be fooled by the generic apologetic response that RoadRunner will attach to this msg as they have on several of these apparent truth documentations of their sub par performance record. This is not a company to deal with at ALL!!!
Cornell, we understand that you had multiple shipments booked with us and apologize for calling you regarding each order instead of addressing each matter at the same time. We clearly state that all dates are tentative and subject to change and regret that you chose to cancel with us before we were able to assist you with your transport.

On 3/19/2019 we agreed to have RoadRunner ship our car from La Quinta CA to Dresher PA. Our car was ready to ship on 4/29/2019, so they had 6 weeks to arrange the transportation. I called them on 4/26 as they still had not found a carrier. I called again on 4/27, 4/28 and 4/29 in an effort to have them commit to a transport carrier. They did not return my call, never contacted me in any way to tell me they had no carrier and never provided the transport they promised.
Finally on 4/30 I tried to get alternative transport as we were schedule to fly to Philly the next day. RoadRunner STILL never contacted me to say if they would or would not be able to get a carrier. We finally ran out of time, canceled our flight to Philly (ate the cost of the tickets) and are now in the process of driving over 3,000 miles back to the Philly area. We are stuck with mileage on the car, gas costs, 4 nights of hotel bills and the lost cost of our planned air travel. I have an important meeting in Philly and needed to get back. We also needed the car. In short, RoadRunner is completely unreliable. DO NOT USE THEM if you need to transport your vehicle.

We had a great experience with almost everyone we worked with at RoadRunner. The only thing that aggravated us a bit was that I was put on hold numerous times for long periods of time and a couple of those times NOBODY came back to the phone. I had one guy that told me he needed to research my delivery a little more and said he would call me back by the afternoon - He never called back!!! This is why we can’t give 5 stars. But once I finally got in touch with a live person via chat, the order seemed to start moving. And man, did they move!!! The delivery guys were AWESOME! They called when they picked up the car. They called to let us know an approximate time of arrival the next day (Maryland-Alabama). They called one last time when they were 5 minutes away and completed the delivery with care and professionalism!!

Reserving online was easy. The day before my car was to be picked up I hadn't heard from them. I called and called and couldn't get anybody to answer or I would be transferred to somebody and they wouldn't answer. I finally got a hold of somebody and they said they would call me in a couple of hours. They didn't. I had to call and e-mail several times the day they were supposed to pick up before I got a hold of somebody and they said they couldn't do it today, it had to be tomorrow. I was getting ready to get on a plane that day to move to another state but they said I could leave the keys with anyone. They told me a certain time they would be there the following day and nobody showed up, while I had family who stayed home from work to meet them.
The driver finally called and wanted me to drive my vehicle to him but at this point I had already been in the new state so I told him I could not and he was unprofessional on the phone. They did say even though they moved my car back a day it would be there by Monday and that was the only thing that went smoothly. It still was delivered by Monday and had no issues with drop off but the whole ordeal beforehand was very stressful and ridiculous in my opinion.

This company has done nothing but lie to me. They quoted me at $1,100 and guaranteed I’d have a shipment date, and then never called me back. I found out later they listed my car for $300 less than their quote and did not have a carrier by that date. Total waste of time and not helpful at all. They’re quick to bad mouth other companies but they are absolutely no help at all.

I would HIGHLY recommend these guys for transport! I had never shipped before and didn't know all questions to ask initially. Kristian was AMAZING - he was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I was nervous about the whole shipment process to be honest, but speaking with him made me feel very secure in the process. He was very friendly and kind... he answered all of my questions and explained things that I hadn't even thought of asking. He was extremely thorough and I knew everything to expect after speaking to him. He sent me the required paperwork at lightning speed so that I could lock in shipping rate. I received not one but THREE calls updating me about progress from he and other representatives. Highly recommend him in particular! :)

He kept myself and the party at the other end of the delivery completely updated about the status, where he was, when the pick up/delivery was going to happen... and if time had changed even a little, we received a phone call. Eric ** reached out to me give me a quote over the phone. I just wanted an initial quote and I am a Fleet Manager for a large construction company. After I told him that I would not be moving forward with RoadRunner due to high rates. He asked me "If you're a Fleet Manager then why are you calling for quotes, you should already have a logistics/transport company." He hung up on me after that. I emailed and left a message with ROADRUNNER to lodge a complaint and never got a callback. This is a boiler room type of sales environment, beware at all costs.

I submitted my order with a support specialist on a Friday afternoon. On the following Wednesday afternoon, a driver picked up the car at my home in Maryland. Four days later, the car was delivered to my son in southern California. The transport fee was very reasonable. The delivery date was as scheduled. Far exceeded expectations. The need to ship my car from PA to TX arose suddenly and gave me very little time to arrange things. I expected it would be difficult and leave me without a car at my new job for up to 2 weeks. In fact, I was able to have my car picked up in the ideal window of time for me -- and it was delivered to me the day I arrived in my new location. Both pickup and delivery occurred within the window that was scheduled, and the driver called an hour ahead to confirm and be sure I knew what was required from me. They also did a thorough inspection of the car with me on both ends. Customer service was excellent from my first request for a quote through the follow up email after the car had been delivered. I did the math on what it would have cost my new employer to reimburse me for driving, and I discovered that it would have been virtually the same (mileage, hotels, meals).
