    Do NOT use this company if you're working from any sort of deadline or pace value in good communication skills - not even deserving of one star. I contracted with Kevin ** at RoadRunner several days before our pick up date in order to get our vehicle from SC to FL. Everything seemed to be going according to plan until the day of pick up, when it became increasingly late in the day and our vehicle needed to be dropped off prior to a flight early the next morning.

    Called Kevin and everyone else involved several times, with the reassurance that their carrier would meet us at the pre-arranged location before the end of the day. No one ever called or explained any delays, and ultimately I had to cancel my flight and drive our vehicle back myself. Didn't hear back from Road Runner until several days later, and that was to explain to me that a new carrier had been assigned! When I called again for some explanation, there was none or an apology. RoadRunner is not a well run company and their treatment of customers is abysmal.

    Paid the extra $1300 for the vehicle to be treated as an inoperable. Car hadn't run in 5 years. Told a special transport had to be used. Company came with car hauler and tried to start it. Told them no, at final destination the transport driver put their own battery and drove the car. Customer service won't return calls or emails for the past 3 weeks.

    I just needed my car shipped, bought my first car back at home in Jersey. Had to ship it to Cali first. Let me start off by saying Roadrunner Auto will only contact you for payments after that there’s no communication. They don’t tell you when they're picking up the car, the tracking isn’t really tracking they don’t even really update it. My car to come to Cali was supposed to be 6 days but came in 7. They didn’t call the day it was supposed to be here, just didn’t show. Then the next day dropped my car off at night. They will get your car there but trust they suck at communication and the tracking isn’t legit 24/7. They update it when they want to. Also they gave me the wrong number for the trucker, had to get his number a different way!

    DO NOT BOOK with Road Runner. They will likely quote you a pick up date that is inaccurate. I was told explicitly by their salesperson that my car would be picked up on a certain date. No carrier reached out and no carrier was assigned within 24 hours of the pick up date. I had no idea when to be at home with my car. I called customer service >5 times today and was just routed back to the main menu. The person who gave me a quote, Nicholas **, did not return my call. Based on this experience, I am fairly certain this company is some sort of scam and does not offer a real service.

    The "guaranteed" quote did not match the actual price because Road Runner could not find a carrier until the night before pick-up despite a 9-day window from the time Road Runner confirmed the booking. Lack of communication once picked up. Road Runner advertises 24 hr tracking when in reality all it shows is date of quote, date carrier assigned, date of pick up and estimated date of delivery. Multiple customer service phone numbers, but no answer. Received an automated email that said my car was out for delivery that day (expected date of delivery), but after over 6 hrs of waiting, I called the driver directly. Not only was he in a different state, but he said that it would be a minimum of 2 more days before he would be in my area. When I finally got through to Road Runner customer service, they said that they were not aware of the situation and that they would have their dispatch look into it and....No one answering the phones ever since.

    If I could give negative stars I would have given this company a - 10!!! First they give you a price online, you confirm everything, they actually take the money from your account & then call to tell you "Okay we see you were quoted $795 online. Right now the cheapest driver we have at the moment is $1160, is this okay?" Then after you reluctantly agree to pay the extra few hundred dollars increase they tell you a carrier will contact you to confirm pick up for the date that you already paid for. The carrier never contacted me so I had to wait the whole weekend to call on Monday to cancel my vehicle shipment since Road Runner is closed on weekends. When I called to cancel Monday morning they tried their best to make me give up by saying "Im going to transfer you to our department" then placing me on hold for 4 hours!!

    The truth is a lot of these companies are just middlemen that will take your money even if they don't have drivers at the moment in hopes of getting a driver in time. I ended up booking a flight & driving my vehicle back home for $700 less than what this scam company was going to charge me. It was a 10 hr drive but better than giving this terrible company a penny! To whoever reads this I am a real & this is a real review! No spam or automated bot review. Do not book with this company!! Oh yea I almost forgot. It took 5 business days for them to refund my money also. I'm going to post this same review everywhere so if you see this on any other review site just know this is real!

    This company is terrible. I booked a car shipment a month prior to moving. For a month, I got continual text messages and emails saying "everything is on track for your shipment on May 23rd." The day of the 23rd, I called customer service because I did not hear anything about when the shipper was coming to pickup my vehicle and the customer service agent said that no shipper had been assigned. Now, I'm forced to hire another company at twice the price because I have to ship my car tomorrow, before I leave the state. Roadrunner Auto Transport is a terrible company.

    Trash and thieves! Initial agreement was on $1,090.00. I ended up paying $1,530.00! We agreed on shipping cost will be $1,090.00 and couple days before picking up the driver called and raised the price to $1,230.00 and told me, "I am giving you the best price and if you called other drivers they will give you higher prices!!" While I agreed via email and got a confirmation with the $1,090.00, now I am paying $1,230 and if I cancel they will charge me $150 fees so I am forced to pay the extra anyways!!

    On the pickup day, I had couple of suitcases in the back seat and the driver was like that’s extra $300 and insisted that I pay his personal number by Zelle, not even by credit card through the website or anything so is that a side business the driver doing behind the company or the company knows and don’t care?!!

    This was the first and absolutely last time dealing with them for my business and be aware everyone.

    Same as so many others have written here. This company should not be allowed to do business. They give you an on-line price, that you agree to and receive confirmation on. Then when the vehicle is to be scheduled, someone will call and give you some reason why the price went up. Basically they are false-quoting to get you hooked and then trying to get more money from you. They should just be competitive and quote real prices. I looked everywhere and it did not say the price was subject to change.

    Was told car would be picked up 5/15/2024. Received call that was going to be delayed till 5/18. Got a call on 5/18 from the driver who said his truck broke down but would pick it up on 5/20.     For those of you who need to relocate a vehicle, here's a company to avoid at all costs: Roadrunner. Do. Not. Use. Them. Ever. In February, 2024 I contracted with Roadrunner to transport my car from Florida to Massachusetts. The pickup date was set for May 20, 2024. The contracted rate was $725 and was quoted to me as a firm fixed price and verbally guaranteed by their dispatcher after I asked if the cost could change. I did not hear from them until May 16th when they called to tell me that the price had increased to $1,725. When I asked why, I was told that the FL to MA route was very popular and very expensive, and that the carrier charged what the carrier charged.

    I pointed out that I had a firm quote and was told that it was only an estimate. So, if the route is popular and expensive, why did you estimate $1,000 below the actual cost? They claim to have been in business for 30 years, you would think that they'd know the true cost. I was told to take it or leave it, and they'd be happy to cancel my reservation.

    This is all fine and good, but it's 4 days before I'm heading home, and the reason I booked in February was so that I wouldn't have to scramble at the last minute, pay top dollar, and most likely not find anyone with available space. I have another carrier who is looking for me and thinks he can get the cost to $1,350 which is almost double what Roadrunner quoted and contracted (in writing). This is classic bait and switch and they should not be allowed to get away with voiding a signed, valid contract.

    SCAM. 0 stars. Paid extra for shipping insurance in case my car was damaged during shipping. Surprise: it was damaged during shipping. After shipping I had a flat tire and the undercarriage of my car was bumped during shipping, causing my heat shield to come loose. I had this confirmed by a mechanic that it was caused FROM ROADRUNNER AUTO TRANSPORT SHIPPING. RR Auto just said their insurance would not cover this because undercarriage damages are not included? It is a scam. Horrible company, horrible third parties they work with (Diesel Auto Express) and horrible customer service and claims department. I filed a complaint with my bank and got all of my money back from RR Auto Transport. Because it is a SCAM.

    I would not trust this company. They gave us a pickup date - we planned our return around that. Our car is still stranded in Florida and Nickolas has never had the integrity to even call and cancel. We are now going to have to fly back to Florida and pick up our car. He completed ghosted us, will not return voicemails. Another company called us and told us his bid was half of what it should be and that they would not follow through - they were right. Nickolas completely lied to us.

    Thoughtfully organized SCAM! Expect to pay double the quoted rate, with NO communication with you or selected driver. The quoted amount is what the driver receive, then they will add 40-50% for their profit. However, they will wait until the day of pick up to notify you of the increase in order to eliminate any alternative options you may have or competition pricing. Then they will not follow any instruction given or transfer those instruction to the driver and you will end up paying for change of address. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!

    Used them to ship a car from FL to MA. Quoted a low quote and got the business from my 90 year old mother. When car shipped they called her and doubled the price. They basically took advantage of a confused elderly woman. I called to explain and request a credit for the difference. They basically said "Too bad, she agreed to it verbally when we called her with the new price". Turns out she could have said no, honor the original quote and they would have found a new company to deliver it, but my mom didn't understand this (she is older and confused more easily). They could easily have provided a credit for the difference but chose to have no moral compass and charge her. Please think twice about using these folks....

    Stay away from RoadRunner Auto Transport! The day they were supposed to pick up my car they called to say the price was going to be 40% higher than what they agreed to. When I asked to speak to the owner they refused. If they are going to pull a "switch and bait" on customers then they should not be in business.

    Bait and Switch!! This company quoted me $495 online to have my vehicle transported. When I called to pay and confirmed the gentleman I was speaking with told hey I have an even better rate and charged me $70 less than the online quote. Awesome right!! Great first impression. Then I get the phone call that a driver has decided to haul my car. I am now told that the driver says his space is worth more than this company allowed me to pay them for and am told to pay an additional $150. Then tells me that he could cancel and allow new drivers to accept but “good luck” probably won’t happen. I advised I had another company that would do it for less and still wanted to use Roadrunner based on reviews and that I had already given them money.

    I asked for explanation and advised I felt it was a bait and switch and wanted an explanation of the reason and I was rudely talked over and I quote “good luck finding that magical company that will do it for that price” then I was told the contract was canceled and told to have a good day and hung up on. I called and tried to talk to a manager but was told they were in a meeting and would call me back within the hour. That was 6 hours ago. So if you want to deal with a company that will lie to your face then somehow make it seem like it’s your fault they changed the prices after you pay them then go with these guys. These guys are running a real class act. Kudos for to the customer support person who told me good luck with the magic company. Keep him around. Your business is really going places with him at the helm. Straight to trash can that is. Hope this review helps anyone that is has a thought of using these guys. Open up your wallet and bend over.

    Pure SCAM artists. Pretty much everything they stated at the time of booking turned out to be a LIE. They will wait till the day of scheduled pick up although they had two weeks, to start looking for a driver and increase your rate by 50%. Once they assigned you a driver it will not show up at scheduled day. They will not transfer any notes to the driver you gave them for delivery. You will not get your car at scheduled time or place so you will pay additional 50% to store your car somewhere else. Once you pay there is NO chance to reach them about anything. AVOID them at All COST and you will save yourself a lot of money, energy and time or be prepared to pay DOUBLE the quote and be faced with lots of UNCERTAINTY about you car! I do not believe I have experienced anything like this.

    If I could give this company 0/5 stars, I would. Please find another company to transport your vehicles. I've used their services once before and was hustled out of an extra 200 dollars by the driver. The second time I tried using their service, I was quoted one price and later that price was bumped up an extra 150 dollars. Once I made the reservation, I was given zero information regarding my carrier or the time my car would arrive. I've been on hold all morning, LITERALLY all morning. It's now 1 pm, I connected with a female operator over the phone and was explaining to her the difficulties I encounter with the service, and she was beyond rude. She lacked consideration and compassion and to make things 10 times worse she hung up on me after I had just explained to her that I have been waiting for hours to talk to someone about my booking.

    I don't understand how you can expect to run a business and your employees are not trained in customer service skills. As a military veteran, I’m beyond disappointed with this company and can easily say that this was the worst experience I have ever had. I will not be using their services again and I suggest you do the same. I literally want my money back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

    I called what felt like every broker. I now understand how this industry works. You pay a broker a fee and they put the bid out there. They pay the driver and keep a small amount. I was trying to move my car from LA to Buffalo. I was priced $1350. I signed my contract. The guy William said he was my guy and to call for anything. So about a day before pickup I was calling because I had a question about gas in my car no response. I finally got ahold of them the next day when I got dispatched and then I called to confirm and then they told me the driver dropped me. So after that I called back because I forgot to ask my question. Then NO one answered me. That’s when I was getting nervous.

    I called at least 10 times. So then I called off my husbands phone and then answered first time. I told them I thought that was strange and then during my call they hung up on me. I was not yelling or being rude but questioned them as I was scared of being scammed. They are legit company but they are notorious for ghosting people. When you give someone you never met your CC info for a large amount in an industry to you don’t know about it’s scary when people don’t pick up after they said they would. I contacted another company SYCN (ship your car now) they communicate well and my car has been dispatched. Worth it to pay a little more to get a peace of mind. I ended up paying $1500. I told him my story with Road Runner and they said it’s not the first time they’ve heard it so this seems to be a trend with them. Maybe they’re better for smaller moves but across the country not to sure about.

    We are facing significant issues with a transportation company that has proven to be extremely challenging to work with. As a carrier, we have not received payment for a vehicle we transported for RoadRunner Auto Transport more than a month ago, specifically since February 8th. Despite multiple attempts to contact their billing department, we end up speaking with sales representatives who transfer our calls to billing, where no one responds. We have repeatedly informed them of our intention to file a DOT compliance report due to fraudulent activity and to initiate a bond claim request.

    Been using RoadRunner in the past years to ship the cars, I understand the pickup/drop off schedule may not be accurate due to some other factors. Recently they will call you and increase your original quoted price after booking. I'm still ok with that. However, we had a BMW X5 shipped from CA to NJ. After received and inspected the car, we found out there were some problems, we bought the car from dealership not some third-party small shops. So, the car was in perfect condition.

    When we took the car to BMW dealership to check, they found out the trailing arm was broken due to improper towing. Try to contact RoadRunner for a claim, First, it's very hard to get in touch with someone, especially when you mention claim. Finally, was able to submit the claim and they denied the claim right away even though I provided the pictures and estimate from the dealership. The estimate even indicated the damage was from towing. When I requested to talk to someone else, maybe a manager, the lady in the claim department Jenna told me she's the manager and no one else can help me. Plus, she's the only one in the claim department. Try to call again and they won’t answer your phone call anymore.

    This has been a nightmare, RoadRunner has not provided a personal point of contact, which they say they provide. Monitoring via air tag and the car did not leave the area it was shipped for over a week. Now they notify my the shipment will be 4 days late via email. I have tried calling in, I have tried live chat on their website, I have tried emailing and I cannot get a real person to talk to. I used them 8 mos ago and it was great, this is the complete opposite experience and will never use them again.

He sent me a contract, that had the pick up and delivery addresses, and per the contract, I paid the $100 broker fee, and would pay the delivery driver the remaining balance. Fortunately for me, I knew the party that the motorcycle was being picked up from. They took a video of the driver arriving, loading, and departing with my motorcycle. All good, or so I thought. Roughly 4 hours after my motorcycle was picked up, I get a call from another person at Roadrunner, stating that he is the supervisor and I need to call him. I immediately reached out to the individual actually driving the vehicle with my item, to inquire about the urgent call. He said he had no idea what it was in Reference to, but he was on schedule and good.

    Now I start getting text messages from Roadrunner dispatcher, asking me to sign another contract. They send the contract and now the broker fee is an additional $400. I refused to sign it and quickly accused both of the agents of Roadrunner, of extortion and garbage business practice. They told me to look at line 16 of the disclosures agreement, which now stated that the brokerage fee would be no less than $500. They keep coming back at me via text, more and more aggressively. This goes on for about an hour, until I sent them screenshots of all of the texts between myself and them, screenshots of the original contract, and screenshots of the second contract they attempted to have me sign and pay. Their system relies on Electronic signatures and vanishes as soon as you sign it. Had I not screen shot the two contracts, they would've been able to bully me into paying an additional $400.

    After seeing my proof, which I have now printed and will be submitting to the BBB, by some miracle the tone in the text messages changed from threatening to very nice and reassuring. I still receives calls from Michael daily, asking if I'd like to ship my motorcycle. I'm sure it is in hopes of me letting this blatant attempt at theft go, since I did receive my motorcycle for the originally agreed upon price. Just don't use these crooks. Most people don't realize that a lot of these "shippers" are only brokers, they pay to use a system that sends requests to actual hotshot drivers. As I stated I have the cell numbers, names, and screenshots of all of their threats and attempted extortion efforts. Run the other way, you have been warned. There are lots of brokers, do your homework. The two individuals I dealt with- Michael 806-391-2854, Supervisor Henry 806-391-2843.

    Worse company ever. Roadrunner auto transportation can not be trusted to do a job. They will take your money, confirm your request for transportation then leave you high and dry. Total lack of communication. Total lack of respect for the customer. I've never seen a company run like this one is. Beware. The anxiety involved is through the roof. They claim to be #1 in the business. This advertisement statement is so far from the truth. They are the worse and should not be allowed to be in business. Very rude customer service representatives. I called them 3 times to try and find out when my vehicle was going to be picked up. No satisfaction, no trust, no communication. We ended up renting a trailer and hauling the vehicle ourselves.

    On 17 January 2024 I contacted Roadrunner Auto Transport to ship my daughter’s car from California to Nebraska. I requested this move happen on 16 February 2024. On February 8, 2024 I was contacted by Roadrunner and they stated that they would be able to pick up on 17 February 2024. I agreed to this. On 17 February at approximately six in the morning I received a text notification that the driver would be contacting me that day two hours before he would arrive at the scheduled pick up location. At approximately noon on 17 February I had not received a call from the driver so I called Roadrunner. Customer service was on hold for 45 minutes. Once I got a hold of a representative they said the driver would be there before 9 PM on 17 February and that the driver would call me when he was two hours from the pick up location.

    At approximately 3 PM on 17 February I was contacted by the driver who stated he was not in the state of California and he would not be arriving until 5 PM on 18 February. I called Roadrunner customer service was on hold waiting for someone for almost an hour when I finally did reach a customer service representative explained that the situation was unacceptable and that they needed to help me come up with a solution as I had a flight scheduled to depart California on the 18th of February the customer service representative hung up on me. Due to their negligence and poor planning I had to change my flight and book an extra night in a hotel. Continued to try and reach Roadrunner customer service today and after holding for an hour and 15 minutes today with no answer I have given up.

They said once I submitted the form, the vehicle would be scheduled and delivered within 24 hours. I filled out the form at 2 pm and the vehicle transfer was completed by 11:30 pm the same day. The driver was at the pickup point when he said he would be and delivered at the time he estimated he would arrive at the drop-off point.

    Do not use this service. They are a Transportation Broker only. They take no responsibility for the actual shipment dates and delivery dates of your vehicle. They do not guarantee on time delivery to your final location. They refer all questions to a 3rd party Auto Transport Company to which they offer no phone number or physical address to contact. In my case, the vehicle was not delivered to the final destination on the time period promised. The vehicle had been delivered to a storage facility and was available. There were no drivers available to deliver the vehicle and ended up taking an Uber 75 miles to pick up the vehicle at a storage facility. Road Runner offered no reimbursement and deferred all complaints to their contract and the 3rd party Transportation vendor. (I only located the 3rd Party Vendor because I had spoken with the Truck Driver who provided me with his cell phone before he left).

    Booked Roadrunner to transport our vehicle from Fla to Denver. We received an email stating they will be picking up the vehicle on Tuesday and the driver will call to give us a 3 hour notice before he gets here. That was the last time we received any communication from this company. We hung around the house all day waiting, nothing. So we decided to call, waited on hold for about 45 minutes. Spoke with the company rep. and she showed no concern or compassion and couldn’t provide any help. Our family in Denver also called and were on hold for an hour and a half and never got to speak with anyone. The real pisser is Roadrunner already charged the card before ever picking up the vehicle. We never heard from them the following Wednesday. At the time of this writing we still have not received any response. We booked the job with another company.

    I hired RoadRunner to transport my brand new car from Upstate NY to South FL. I purchased a car in NY and placed an order to transport my vehicle in a enclosed truck transport. I agreed to pay the higher rate to have enclosed vs an open transport. The company spoke to me as well as the dealership and verbally confirmed that it would in fact be in an enclosed truck. I requested photos of the truck(s) that they would use. They texted me gorgeous photos of very large shiny trucks. When the car was delivered it was on an open bed truck. Both the dealership and I could not believe that they would be this disreputable. Furthermore, they contracted with a different carrier to make the trip.

    My new car was on the top of a trailer with at least 6-8 cars. I was tricked into a higher price. They would not answer my calls or respond to me to make a price adjustment. Do not use or trust anything this company tells you over the phone. Further, after the car was picked up they sent me a contract for an open transport knowingly that I had no recourse to make other arrangements as my car was already headed South. I was completely dissatisfied with the entire experience. They billed me before the car was even loaded up on the trailer. They are crooks and operating in a deceiving dishonest manner. DO NOT BE FOOLED.

    RoadRunner is not a legitimate company. I went on-line and requested and estimate to transport my vehicle from PA to Arizona. It was time sensitive and they said they would be out the next day and gave me a a great price. A guy called me several times to confirm my arrangements and get my credit card information. They ran my card for the full amount immediately and told me the driver would be out the early afternoon. They also mentioned that their driver would call two hours before he arrived. The driver no called, no showed and when I called to find out what was going on they told me that they are just brokers and that was between me and my driver. After I argued he transferred me to what appears to be a made up department, I sat on hold for 20 minutes and then the line disconnected.

    I found one of the 5 or 6 emails they sent me when they were trying to trick me into doing business with them and said cancel the transaction and refund my money. Within minutes I received a call back explaining that they just brokers and have nothing to do with the drivers? I asked why didn’t he call the Driver and find out if he was going to make it, he told me they have no way of calling drivers and that they aren’t allowed to use Bluetooth when they are driving. He then said again he is just a broker and they don’t have any way to contact these random drivers. None of this was explained when they were lying to me to get my business. I continued to argue with this person every time I said to cancel my transaction.

    I picked up the phone and called their competitor. They were a couple hundred more, and when I shared the price that Road Runner lied to me about, he said it was a common practice that they would promise pick up and delivery dates to just get the business. He said they are not a real business so and can’t price with a shady company like Road Runner.

    I just get the impression the guy I was speaking with from Road Runner was in his Mom’s basement playing video games and taking random calls for a made up company. Took zero responsibility of providing a service or professionalism. Never apologized once, said he has nothing to do with it and made excuse after excuse. There are legitimate companies that handle auto transport, Road Runner is not one of them.

    We scheduled our car to be transported from Washington state to Arizona. They gave us the date of pickup and we had someone waiting at the house for hours and they never showed up. No answer when trying to call them. The next day they let us know that it would be delayed until the next day. Again, no one showed up, no phone call, and no one answering the phone when we call. The next day they contacted us and said it would be picked up the following day. It did then get pickup up and transported to Arizona. The car was in good condition.     Roadrunner Auto Transport scheduled my shipment almost a week later when I will have already moved out of state and charged me before confirming. I have sat on hold for an hour a day for four days (they hang up after a while so you have to keep calling) and have sent three emails with no response. They have reached out asking me to spend more money and vanishing when I attempt to talk about anything else. Their chat support literally says they have no support staff. All in all roadrunner seems like a shell company scam designed to take your money and pull a vanishing act. Seems apparent when they have posts online telling you to ignore their non sponsored reviews.

    My Anxiety is through the Roof! I was so excited to do business with Road Runner Auto Transport as it was recommended to me by a good associate of mine. I called Road Runner Thursday last week on 9/7/2023 and spoke with Christian on the phone. I explained to him that I needed my car to be shipped from CA. to GA. I am presently in GA already, and the key holder to my car is a 45-minute ride from the location of my car in CA. Christian and I set a date for a Monday or Tuesday pickup. He said that I could not ship the car without the key. We agreed that I would have the key holder hide the key on one of the tires for the driver who would arrive Monday or Tuesday 9/11 or 9/12.

    My car is parked on a public street. Monday 9/11 came and went. I did not get a call from anyone. Today Tuesday 9/12 I called to inquire about the status of my car since I have not heard anything about my car which has my very expensive automatic key on one of the tires. So now begins the Customer Goose chase that I so often experience with most companies that immediately do not keep you in the loop or never start communicating with you when a service cannot be fulfilled at the scheduled time.

    I called Christian at his extension and got his voicemail and left a message. I waited an hour and of course no call back. I then called the main line and talked to a lady who informed me that they had not found a truck to ship my car. When I told her that my key was sitting on one of the tires due to the fact that Christian had told me it would be a Monday or Tuesday pickup and that I was concerned that there could be a storm or someone could walk by and take it, she then proceeded to tell me to think positively and she then looked up the weather for the past few days and gave me the weather report for this past weekend in CA and the rest of the week.

    She then asked me if I could have the key holder who works all week from 9-5 and lives 45 minutes away if they could come back to pick up the key. (Keep in mind that person would then have to drive back at whatever random time a truck does get sent out.) So now my car is sitting on a public street in Los Angeles with a key on the tire and all of my personal paperwork in the glove compartment, with no set date for pickup. And if the key does go missing, they won't be able to ship my car at all and I will have to replace a very expensive key. But I am supposed to " think positively". If my car could not be shipped on the dates agreed upon then that's all that should have been said in advance. Then I would not have had my key placed on the tire.

    Also, if a tracking link is sent to the customer, then that should be working at all times so that the customer knows the updates. And we as customers should not be patronized by employees when such expensive items that are a necessity to our lives are at stake. Please do not leave me a canned response to this message, saying how sorry you are about the situation and how my review will help your company to do better. Just get my car off the street with the key on the tire and deliver it at the location that was agreed upon, at the agreed upon price. Thank you.

    Poor experience with Road Runner in that the first quote I got was not real and more of a teaser rate to schedule transport. The quote then changed and went up $100 when I signed the contract. Then a couple of days before transport the contract changed and went up $200!!! At this point it was too late to book another service. When I asked to speak to a manager the dispatcher said he was the manager and would do nothing. So beware their contracts mean nothing!! Would not use them again. The only reason I gave them a satisfactory review was because the actual transport team was excellent and kept me informed of their status on the road and at delivery.

    I needed a car transported from Arizona to Pennsylvania, and I found RoadRunner Transport Online and requested a quote. Their price was average for what I needed. I filled out all the information and booked a transport with them. They said I would receive more information on the date the car would be picked up. First I was given a date but no one ever phoned or emailed to confirm as they said I would. Several days after the pick update, I received an email that a driver would call me to a date for pick up, which I never received. I tried call every number on the emails they sent me. I was on the phone waiting for an answer for hours on end, all I got was music. I tried sending them an email at the address they posted on their webpage, it came back as undeliverable.

    Finally after 1 week after that date they said my car would be picked up I got a phone call from them. They said the price would be $100,00 more than the original offer, which I agreed to. Then I got a call from a driver that my car would be picked up in two days. I thought I finally was going to get the service I needed from them. WRONG, 29 minutes after they called saying my car would be picked up at the higher price, and they then deducted that amount from my account, I got a call that the driver was not going to be able to pick up my car, they were sorry. I again tried over and over again to talk to someone and no one would answer that phone.

    Finally after days of frustration I finally got to talk someone and requested a full refund which I got a few days later. Then I called another company and got the best service possible . They gave me a price, a date, and followed through. My car was delivered in perfect condition on the date the gave me. I later found that RoadRunner Transport had a D+ rating with the BBB. They were terrible.

    This company is the WORST. After signing a contract with an agreed upon price and pick up date the company proceeded to not keep me posted as to any potential courier assignment, the website was never updated with new information.. Every time I'd call to get an update you are put on hold for 20 plus minutes only for them to tell you they are working on it. The pick up date for my car was pushed back several times. When a courier was finally assigned they jacked up the price to 400 bucks more than the agreed upon price. Even after all of this I still agreed to use the company to ship my son's car to school. After enduring all of these poor business practices, the assigned carrier canceled the day of pick up. They did NOT even call me to tell me the carrier wasn’t showing up. They sent an email then did not call me back after I called them regarding this cancellation.

    When I finally got ahold of someone from the company they only stated my car shipment had been marked urgent. This company does not honor time pick up date windows, prices they quote and you sign on agreements nor do they communicate at all with their customers regarding status of their cars. BEWARE of this company! They will increase your prices and you will not know when or if they will ever transport your car.

    Booked transport for a vehicle from AZ to PA. Verified the holiday wouldn't interfere with the 6-8 days shipping time and was assured the holiday would not cause delays. Raptor Auto Transport was assigned carrier confirmed to pick-up on Sat 7/1 - no call, no show. Nothing on Sunday either, sent an email to Roadrunner late Sunday. An entire holiday weekend wasted waiting for a driver that never showed.

    On Mon, 7/3 received an email from RoadRunner driver would pick-up today. Day 3 now gone and wasted... around 5pm contacted Roadrunner again, then Driver finally called at 6:11pm saying he's on his way, arriving after 7pm. At that point, just excited he was there, driver confirmed vehicle would arrive by Sat 7/8 (UGH, already arriving a day later than planned, too bad it was picked up 2 1/2 days late, but ok only a day late). My son hired another transport company to ship his car from CA to PA - it arrived in 5 days, so I confess, I figured 8 days would be worse-case scenario. Well... Saturday 7/8 - here we go again... no call, no show.

    Then only to discover Roadrunner is closed on Sundays - we are boiling at that point. On Mon 7/10 I messaged driver, he responded that yesterday was Sunday and he spent the day with family, that tomorrow driver would be there with vehicle. Not realizing my sister had called 800 # they told her truck broke down it would 2-3 more days. Something's not adding up... 2 different stories. At that point, my mom had to get a rental $273 - she flew home with my dad's ashes who passed away earlier this month, so we completely understand the importance of family.

    ~~ TODAY IS WED 7/12 ~~~ Our vehicle has yet to be delivered and we can't get anyone to tell us where it is. NOT once, did Roadrunner or Raptor reach out to let us know it would be late, on the 5+ scheduled dates. I called today, asked to speak with a manager, who apparently are not available but I could expect a call back in 24-48 hours. That is a major red flag! Asked service to have Dispatch contact driver to find out vehicles exact location, 5 hours later no call. I tried calling at 6pm MST (9pm EST) and their offices are closed... yet hours on website say until 10PM. We understand that situations happen, mistakes happen but it's the actions taken to resolve.

    Please do not use this company. Wait times are 20 minutes plus to speak with an agent who doesn't care. Any delivery or pickup dates they provide are an estimate and will be changed without telling you. Online chat on the website doesn't work so have fun waiting to talk to someone, as apparently any time you call they are experiencing a high call volume.

    The drivers do not speak to the office staff, and the office staff do not speak with you. Their online tracking system is not automated as they still have not updated my info and my car was picked up 5 days ago. The office staff has no clue about changes to the delivery or pickup dates as they have 0 contact with the drivers unless the drivers call them to update. To be fair - I expect changes in dates and times. I would also expect an email or anything notifying me of changes. This company does nothing to communicate with you but they are happy to take your money and ignore you.

    When I purchased a new vehicle from a dealership in Florida and shipped it with RoadRunner Auto Transport, I selected Road Runner for a few reasons. #1 Lots of 5-star reviews, #2 Veteran-owned (I'm a Veteran, too, and I like to support other Veteran-owned companies), #3 The final price was reasonable (definitely not the cheapest quote), even after the price was increased $135 over my quote. I declined Road Runner's optional insurance, because I have auto insurance that covers catastrophic loss (damage from hail, weather, fire, theft, etc.) while in shipment. The dealership had the vehicle ready to go for pickup. When the vehicle arrived to me in California, the driver backed the vehicle off his truck damaging the driver's side mirror. Then, he claimed the damage was pre-existing on my new car at the time of pickup. I can't believe the driver lied!

    I even found pieces of the cracked plastic mirror surrounds inside the vehicle on the driver's seat! When I tried to open a claim with Road Runner, the driver/shipper provided a "screenshot" photo of the top of the vehicle in the Florida parking lot claiming the damage occurred at pickup, but the picture does NOT show the driver's side of the vehicle at all, even though the screenshot indicates the driver had more than 35 pictures of the vehicle. I guarantee one of those other pictures show the mirror was NOT cracked!

    The dealership listing pictures of the vehicle I purchased showed the mirror was NOT broken when I bought the van. Instead, the driver/shipper provided a separate zoomed-in picture of the broken mirror, but the picture appears to be taken on the street in my neighborhood in California, and NOT at the pre-shipment location in Florida. The Road Runner claims department denied the claim since I didn't purchase Road Runner's additional optional insurance coverage (which by the way, my cost had already increased, as mentioned, so I wasn't thrilled about adding even more cost for optional insurance). Bottom line, the driver damaged my driver's side mirror when he backed the vehicle off his trailer, and the fix will cost me an additional $600 out-of-pocket.

    When I support Veteran-owned businesses, I expect one thing beyond anything else... Integrity! I TRUST that a Veteran-owned business has integrity. Unfortunately for me, Road Runner hired a driver that does NOT have integrity, and because Road Runner claims supported the driver's false statement, I'm stuck with an additional $600 out-of-pocket expense to fix the mirror. I shared my experience with several of my military coworkers who are shipping cars this Summer as they PCS to new duty stations, and ALL of them booked with other shipping companies based on my negative experience with Road Runner. I'm not sure if there is a way to check-out/vet the driver before shipment, but if life had do-overs, I would have selected a different company to ship my new vehicle to me so I don't have to deal with the time and expense of fixing the mirror.

    While I have previously used Roadrunner and their service was quite good, this latest experience reflects the true character of the company. I reached out to have my son's car transported from Dallas back to New England at the conclusion of the school year. The carrier they assigned was to pick up the car last Friday. Friday afternoon, no carrier and so I called.

    After waiting 40 minutes I was told the driver may pick up as last as 9 PM but could offer no further insight. 9 PM comes - no carrier. I call first thing Saturday and after waiting 25 minutes, was again told there was no further information on driver status. I call again at 12N and was told the same thing. At 2 PM I called and was on hold over 1 hour before hanging up in complete frustration. Nothing from the company except a template email and that they had no further information. Sunday they were closed.

    Monday I call at 9 AM. After waiting 25 minutes I am told driver schedules are unpredictable and I needed to be flexible. I responded that they were 4 days late and that I had given them plenty of flexibility. Complicating things, my son was to be on an airplane home that afternoon and we had no way of coordinating the pickup - and this point was made clear. Roadrunner's response? Not their responsibility I was told. At 12 N I called and was then told the carrier had canceled. I reminded them that I was paying them to avoid just these sorts of issues. The manager, Lana, got on the phone and could only run her mouth insisting that I was wrong. When I suggested that it was up to them to find a workable alternative, Lana proceeds to tell me that customer service was not part of their business and that they would attempt to reschedule but would offer no assurance as to when the pickup would be made. Two more hours go by, and nothing from these jokers.

    Finally, in desperation, I decided to throw a Hail Mary and called a competitor. I explained the situation with Roadrunner. Within 5 minutes the competitor had identified a carrier and that carrier picked up the car within 2 hours - and my son made it to DFW in time for his flight. Amazing! And more evidence just how bad Roadrunner is. Sure they will get good reviews when everything goes right. But what have they done to earn their fee? Nothing. So why pay them the premium? Go elsewhere because when the going gets tough, Roadrunner runs away.

    Road Runner 15 Grumman Road W. Bethpage, NY 11714. On approximately November 9, 2022, I contracted Road Runner to transport my car from Fort Pierce Florida to Charlestown MA. The price was $869. The representative kept recommending that I spend an extra $100 to buy insurance to protect the car "from accidents beyond our control." I did not buy this insurance.

    The car arrived in Charlestown as expected and appeared in good condition. It was not until I drove the car around a corner that I found it unstable. I looked carefully under the car and could see that one of the suspension control arms on the left rear side was VERY bent out of shape. It looked like the operator tried to hook onto the control arm to move it onto the transport truck.

    I took pictures of the damage, got two estimates, and filed a claim with road runner for the damages: about $630. Road Runner insists that since I did not buy their insurance they do have any responsibility to pay for the damage they inflicted on my car. I call this incompetent. They damaged my car, and irresponsible because they will not fix it.

    The pick up of my car was frustrating because it was not picked up on the date that I set up, nor was there any communication letting me know that the company was going to be late picking up. There should be some kind of communication at all times, even if it’s a holiday, to keep customers in the loop. Or perhaps, don’t let customers schedule during a holiday weekend if there isn’t anyone available to speak with on the phone or in the online chat.

    This was the most worst experience ever and the most stressful and anxiety driven. What Roadrunner Transport are promised with my car the carrier UKR elite auto carrier that was supposed to pick up my car and then the money order was made out to them but UKR Elite BOOKED my car off to a third-party lumen car which I had no idea even occurred until I got a phone call that my car was on the way to me and when I went downstairs to pay the gentleman with the money order he wouldn’t take it. He says that’s not my company. I’m not UKR Elite which RoadRunner hired to transport my vehicle.

    THE DRIVER was Aggressive and was leaving without giving me my car because I wrote the money order out already and was expecting UKR ELITE. He wanted $750 in cash. I called Roadrunner and they had no knowledge of this. Meanwhile the $300 deposit was paid to them. They had no idea who had my car. He had no Company name on the side plus my car was packed with his groceries all over the front floor and seats. I called 911 because he was leaving with my car and I was scared. Then a police report was made Thank goodness for the police who stopped him from leaving with my car.

    I hired Road Runner auto transport thinking they were a great company. Meanwhile they’re not. They didn’t even know where my car was or who had it. Then this Lumen car took my car off the ramp and pulled the emergency brake up so hard I had to have it fixed the next day and all Roadrunner auto transport could say is, "I'm so sorry that you went through this." THE WORST AND STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE EVER!

    Our truck was picked up as expected but not delivered as promised. The driver called us stating that he could not deliver it to the address we provided because the streets in Siesta Keys are too narrow - that part is understood - and that the only choice was for us to pick it up June 2 at the main office. We arrived from New York at 9:30 pm on June 1st to the rental home. We had no way to go anywhere to get food and we had no clothes. Our luggage was in the truck. The morning after we called the main office and we were told that someone could have driven the truck to the house the night we arrived but THE DRIVER had told them that we had decided to pick it up the morning after.     Tell your Roadrunner agent not to hang up the phone from the customer. Learn from Japanese people how to conduct the business. Japanese worker bows and greet their customer when the customer is leaving or entering their store. In this case, The roadrunner male agent who called me about my car transport and asked me if I still want to ship my car. I said Yes, but I just want a quote first. He then hung his phone right away without saying a word. How rude is he? His call no. is **. Never and ever hang up the phone before customer. It's very very rude. Especially, the stores who call the consumers about their product. They will hang up the phone when you tell them You're not interest. Bad business conduct. Teach your employees how to respect customer. Otherwise, the customers like me will post bad reviews and note in his book not to do business with particular business.

    Anthony ** treated me very rudely when I received a call back for an online quote. He became aggressive once I mentioned I was waiting on other quotes and asked why it would take so long since their quote is instantaneous. Which by the way was not correct, $1245 on the initial email but $1351 when he called. Providing incorrect estimates will probably increase the speed at which they are generated. He asked why I was shopping around and was price a concern. I said, of course, I would like the best price. He became condescending and frustrated and abruptly hung up.

    I called back and advised of the events that transpired with Anthony **. I also mentioned that I was leaning towards Road Runner but waiting for other quotes when the representative started questioning me why I didn’t then and started getting agitated. I asked him to calm down as I am the customer and shouldn’t be treated this way but was hung up on again.

    I tried calling a few more times to talk to a supervisor but was harassed and hung up on. To roadrunner, I’m sure there will be some story of why or how I was being aggressive calling multiple times asking for a supervisor and that is fine. But if you are going to refute, I will ask you to attach the calls if they are recorded. I was lucky that I didn’t give these people my car. Stay away from roadrunner and especially Anthony ** (888) 777-2123 ext 527.
