    I was not told that I would be on a list from greatest to least for providers to pick from. I was told by another company that that is why it was a week past my pick up date and still no one picked it up. I called the company 3 times and every time I was told that they couldn’t do anything about the providers not picking it. Then when I told them that I was told about this list and I was going to go to another company they decided to explain to me that I could bump up my price so someone could come pick it up. My original price was around $1,600, I had to pay an additional $810 just to get my car picked up. It was obviously not delivered on time, and I needed my car. I was without the car for almost a week in a state I have never lived in before, and because I had to pay a more drastic amount of money, I was broke and could not afford all the Ubers I had to use. Horrible communication and I will never recommend Road runner to anyone.

Unfortunately, your desired route is not frequented by our carrier network and the carrier that we located requested additional fees as they had priced the available spot on their trailer higher than expected. Every carrier does have their own pricing as they are owner-operators. Shopping for quotes with multiple companies falsely sways market demands and drives the cost of shipping up. When it appears that a route is more desired, carriers can charge premiums because of this illusion of demand. Our team will always inform you of any available options that we receive and have the option to accept or decline.

    We hired roadrunner auto transport a Mercedes s550 and scion from from Los Angeles to Florida at two different times this month. The prices were fair.     The driver of the transport vehicle went out of his way to deliver the vehicle to our home since my wife is physically handicapped & I was still up in NJ. The only suggestion I would have is we did not know if vehicle would be delivered on Tuesday evening or Wednesday. It would have helped to be able to get this information online.

    Updated on 09/03/2021: So... a manager from RoadRunner Auto transport was 'kindly' enough to contact me today. She started this phone call with, "so you have been writing these reviews." Immediately I knew that this company did not care about my experience and only about their reputation. Then she accused me of lying. Then I told her that I've saved ALL text messages and call logs about my contact with the carrier as well as multiple complaint emails submitted through their website and chat logs from their website. She could not say anything more.

    What type of company calls a customer to accuse them of lying. Thankfully she eventually stopped accusing me of lying but only when I was on the verge of tears! My interaction with this company has been toxic, unprofessional and just a complete nightmare. I will NOT be submitting a damage claim (my trunk is unable to be opened) because I want nothing to do with this company any longer. I've suffered enough emotional damage from this. Enough is enough.

    Original Review: I'm not sure how other people's experience is but I had the worst experience imaginable. It was a nightmare. Oh and the carrier also broke my trunk. So this is NOT my first time booking with an auto transport company. I booked with another auto transport before and had WONDERFUL experience with them. The carrier was confirmed 2 weeks ahead of time and I only paid 800 dollars from NY to TX. However, for this shipment, I decided to book with Roadrunner to transport another car from NY to TX. I thoughtt, it would be a better experience since this is a larger company with lots of experience and I've seen their trucks near my neighborhood. I was so wrong...

    I booked about one month ahead of my expected pick up date for an estimated cost of 1400 dollars. I checked multiple times before the pick up date to make sure we are still okay but I was told no carrier will be assigned until 48 hours prior to the estimated pick up date (which looking back on it, seems to be a red flag). At 48 hours prior to the shipment dates, the company emailed me to ask me to call them to accept a carrier. So I called and found out that in reality, the cost is now OVER 1700 dollars. Then I thought, maybe the experience will be better since they are more expensive. I was very wrong.

    My initial pick up date was 8/14. The carrier (Troup Trucking company) contacted me on 8/13 and told me that they will be there tomorrow (8/14). On 8/14, I waited at home all day but no one came so I contacted them. They said that their truck was broken and it is in the shop so they will come on 8/15. On 8/15, I waited again, all day, for them. But no one came again... This went on for more than 4 days before they actually were able to pick up my car.

    While en route, the truck, carrying my car, broke down multiple times. So the delivery date was delayed by more than 4 business days. I got my car a little bit over 10 days after pick up. There was more miles on my car and I was told by the truck driver that he had to drive my car multiple times due to the issue with his truck. Even though the service states 'door to door.' I did not get door to door service. I had to pick up my car over 30 minutes away when there is a Walmart <10minutes away from my house>. The carrier's excuse is because his truck is broken... His truck broke 2 times prior to picking up my car and another 2 times after picking up my car. I don't understand how the trucking company is so irresponsible of having an actively breaking truck on the road.

    Prior to the transport. My car's trunk is able to be opened freely. On the day of pick up I cannot open my trunk at all. Now my car's engine is having issues (3 days after pick up and I've driven it twice... once to home from Walmart and another to go to work which is 5 minutes away). I have contacted Roadrunner multiple times to discuss my issues but not once did they show respect and compassion toward my suffering. Now I have so much emotional distress just thinking about what I've been through and the damage THIS company has caused me. I could not work multiple days because the delays done by the trucking company and now I have a broken car that again I need to pay to fix. I paid them over 1700 dollars to break my car and create such emotional toxic 2 weeks for me.

    Basically happy with the outcome. Started the process in May 27 and the vehicle was delivered on 7/6, which was the promised date. I had to stay vigilant on communication with the company when it got close to pick up date. The only complaint was the original estimate was $1,385 and the final bill was $1,610. Blamed on permits which when I questioned why not in the original estimate I was told they never are. Vehicle picked up on 7/3 and delivered 7/6.

    Initial contact and amount quoted was good. But in the end amount and amount charged was not the same. With no explanation. Even though the correct full pick up address and delivery full address was provided to Roadrunner they did not relay that information to the company picking up the vehicle. And they refused to provide invoice with the correct and full pick up information and delivery information. The pick up was 2 days late which cause me to incur additional storage fees. The actual company that pick the vehicle up and delivered was 1st class. No help from Roadrunner office. No full explanation on the additional cost nor the breakdown of payments between road runner and the subcontractor.

    I contacted this company to have my two vehicles shipped from Oregon to Arizona. The sales team was super responsive and I decided to book the job. As the date got closer I wanted to talk to the salesperson who helped me. I called his extension and left multiple messages. No callback, so I decided to call the company directly. It is impossible to get thru to anyone. It says there is an unusually high call volume and after about 15 minutes it literally hangs up on you.

    Finally the day before the scheduled pick-up date, I started emailing them and I got someone to call me on the phone. They assured me that everything was confirmed for pick up the next day and that the driver would call me 2-3 hours before arriving. Guess what happened the next day, nothing. Can't get ahold of the company, they are closed tomorrow. I am flying with my family to move to Arizona and I have two cars sitting in the hotel parking lot. They have already taken my money. Disgusting.

    When our car was delivered three days later than promised, it was very dirty on the interior. We saw no exterior damage. However, warning lights for brakes came on at random times and several safety features were disabled and would not turn back on. It had been checked at the Subaru dealer in Florida a few weeks before we left and was in perfect condition. Computers were checked and remotes reprogrammed at that time. I took it to our dealer in St. Louis and found that there was hidden damage to the right rear lower control arm.

    The dealer replaced a $2000 camera and programming still did not function because of the damaged control arm which was found later. Over the next few weeks, I got multiple e-mails with transport offers that were $200-300 more than the accepted price.     We had a horrible experience with Roadrunner Transportation. Do not use them, go with a different company for transporting your car. We signed a contract to have our car picked up in Vermont and shipped to Myrtle Beach, SC. The cost was $995.00. The car was ready but were told not to have it picked up too soon because we were not going to be down there for a few weeks, so we waited per their instruction. When waited until a few days before we left to have it picked up. Well, that did not happen, as a matter of fact, it did not get picked up for a couple of weeks. Right before we were leaving to come back to Vermont, got a call that it was going to be picked up and now it was going to cost $1400! We signed a contract for $995 and now they have us cornered.     Had a problem with my auto shipment. Called RoadRunner at their main line in the afternoon on a Thursday. No one picks up. Tried a few more times and more of the same. Agent calls me back the next morning and the conversation was absolutely horrid and unprofessional. Essentially, they maintained that Roadrunner assumes no liability and apparently it was my responsibility to arrange the whole shipping process, from start to finish. Customer service agent was defensive and reiterated the “company’s policies” and did nothing to even try to help out with my situation. Their response “well your car got to you, right?” And that’s it. They don’t care about your experience and couldn’t care less about the problems that happened along the way.

    Beware - once they take your money, communication becomes nonexistent. You’ll have to arrange everything yourself. If you call about a concern, you either won’t get a response back, or they’ll give you the run around and will try to find a way to blame you for whatever happened. Their customer service department doesn’t care about you. All they want is your money. Avoid and save yourself the stress.

    When my husband reminded me driving across the country with a one year old may be a bit more stressful than with grown children, he nudged me to look into car transports to deliver my mother's car in OR to our home in NC. RoadRunner Auto Transport was the first one I contacted. Catchy name was a plus, and then working with Nick ** just put me at ease. It took some time to find a driver for transporting the Dodge Journey, and was a little higher than first quoted because the point of origin was a bit out of his way to get there, yet it was all worth it. The driver Boog (his nickname) was an energetic young man who made quite an impression with my sister when he arrived to pick up the car.

    She said he took pictures of it before he loaded the car up, including the mileage, to show the condition it was in at pick up. Had her sign for it and was on his way. I contacted him a couple days later to see where he was and to find out an approximate day/time for arrival at my home. Thought he had another driver with him and he said no, he was the only driver and was currently in Denver, CO. We had a quick conversation about the estimated time and day of arrival (two days later), that he would call the morning of the day of arrival and again when he was a couple hours away, and I hoped the rest of the trip would be safe and easy for him. I did receive a call the morning of the day the car would be here (a Thursday) and again two hours before he was expected to be at our home.

    Boog was right on time and I was pleased to see this young, energetic, and very respectful young man come out of the cab, set up the ramps, and carefully guide the car down and onto our driveway. He advised us that the driver's window was sticking when it needed to go up and I acknowledged I had discovered that the day before I left and had forgotten to tell my sister to let him know when he picked up the car. Otherwise there were no problems at all with the car. I gave a bag of assorted munchies for the road, knowing that he would be heading out to the next destination. This was an absolute pleasant experience and peace of mind coming from a point of sorrow (the loss of my mother, thus transporting the car back to our home) and need. I would definitely recommend Road Runner Auto Transport to anyone who needs to get a vehicle from Point A to Point B.

    This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had hiring a company/contractor... And it’s what I do for a living. They lied about pickup date to get me to book, and then didn’t pick up the vehicle until 3 days later! Absolutely zero communication. Then once they had it, they had it scheduled to be dropped off today, 4/15. I got a call at 3:30 that the driver was in Arizona, me in central California, and it wouldn’t be here until the next day. And on top of all that, when they finally did pick it up, they raised my price almost $100. Nobody answers the customer service number. It rings and rings and then hangs up.     Pick up was easy. Although it could have been done at the campus dorm, the driver and I opted to have the car picked up at a nearby grocery store which worked out fine. I did have some concern though when I was quoted a 4 to 6 day delivery, but the driver said he would get my car to my destination (Washington to Minnesota) in 2 days and I told him to please take his time. On the day of my flight, there was a cancelation and I wouldn't be in Minnesota till the next day. However, during the waiting period I received a call that my car would be there at 7pm that day, with no one to receive it. After scrambling and asking for some favors, I did get a friend to receive it. It was in great condition, practically the same as when I sent it, though very dirty but that was because it was an open carry. Worked out fine in the end, price was kind of high compared to other quotes, but I can trust this company for sure. If the delivery date matched what I was quoted, there would have been less of a hassle for me and the driver, because the hotel I booked had a large parking lot.     A friend told me about Road Runner because he had used it to ship his car from FL to CA. As I was making the same move myself, I decided to go with his recommendation over continuing to read review after review of different car transport companies. Overall the experience was good. I called and spoke with Nick who told me it would be $1095 total, door-to-door delivery (taking 8-10 days), and fully insured. I opted to go with some extra coverage for $95 because this was going to be my first cross-country transport experience and I was nervous about potential damages. He told me that the driver would arrive between 9a-5p and call me two hours prior. So far so good. I asked if we could ship it on a Saturday and he said yes, yes.

    Fast forward a few days. I'd been checking the status of my shipment and still no driver had been assigned. No big deal, but I wanted to be sure it would get assigned soon because I was catching a flight to Los Angeles on Sunday. I got a call saying that the driver was assigned, but that he would pick up my car on Monday, not Saturday. The only reason I wasn't more annoyed was because in Florida I was at my parents' place due to the pandemic, so they could be there for the Monday pick-up. Had I been living alone, this last-minute shift in the pick-up day would've been a mess because I had a flight booked already. So fair warning: *the date you pick might not be the date they actually come to get your car.* Also the pricing is not set in stone and instead of paying $1095 it wound up being closer to $1160 (note: this is without the additional coverage).

    The car was picked up, so all good all good. I arrived in California, waited for the car. 7 days of zen. The day of the arrival I got a call saying that the trucker is in my neighborhood. I stepped outside but no one was there. Hm. So I called again and was given the direct line for the trucker. I called him and he spoke to me in a frantic/rapid-fire monologue in Spanish about how he couldn't get into my street and he parked down near a random intersection, and he needed me to walk to where he was, and that it was getting dangerous. I thought ok, ok, slow down, what do you mean dangerous? The signal cut off.

    I called him back. I said I thought this was supposedly door-to-door, but he said my street was too narrow (fair point, I had mentioned this to every Road Runner-related representative at every point during this process). I do wish I could have specified a better pick-up location near my house (there is an enormous empty parking lot), instead of walking blocks and blocks down and having to run across a busy LA intersection with cars zooming past me. Ah well. I went there, got the car, drove home.

    Would I recommend Road Runner? Recommend is a strong word, but it was a decent experience. The reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is due to the following:
    - I was told it would get picked up on a Saturday, but it was picked up on a Monday (no fixed date).
    - I was told it would cost a certain amount, but it wound up costing more (no fixed price).

    -I was told it would be door-to-door, but I had to walk for ten minutes to a busy intersection and try not to get hit by other cars while I picked up my own.

    Most of these reasons listed above might be more a result of the nature of the car transport industry as a whole, rather than a systemic issue within Road Runner itself. I'm not complaining, it could've been better, it could've been worse. Would I use Road Runner again? Yeah, maybe, sure.

    The website is great and booking is straightforward. However, trying to get someone on the phone is straight up impossible. I called everyday in the morning when they open and was unable to connect to a live person. Website chat is a quicker. Either get rid of the phone number or hire more operators, plain and simple. Once the booking is confirmed however, they provide a number with a real person who answers immediate. Understand that the carriers are subcontracted, and the rate estimates change according to demand.

    I did get my vehicle delivered early, so kudos to the carrier. But Road Runner, as the customer service point of entry, you need to provide more operators, or a call back service, or tell me where I am in the queue. But just hanging up, that is a disservice to your customers. I'm glad it was all smooth sailing once I got a carrier assigned. Three stars. Five if you fix what I mention on the front end.

    My overall experience was good. I had a tentative date schedule for January 6, 2021. I was also quoted a fee of $695. Due to lost paperwork the car actually got picked on January 8, 2021. The price for pickup went to $869. I am not sure if I was quoted a price, why did it change? I did not appreciate the change in price. I just wanted to get my car. I am not sure if I would recommend your company based on the price change of $695 to $869. The driver Halil said I would probably get the car around 10p, but he arrived before 10pm which was great, but I was working. I did receive car on Saturday morning.     I booked RoadRunner Auto Transport on a google search and when I realized they were local, I hired them to ship my daughter’s car. The overall experience was good in the end, it did not start out that way! I booked the car to be picked up on a Saturday and was then told no one had picked up the job. I thought that it was a guaranteed pick up, but was told in the paperwork I signed this could happen. My bad, I never really read the contract. They finally came to pick up the car on Tuesday.     I booked transportation for my 2 vehicles months ahead of time. I didn't realize that the date I gave wasn't a sure thing. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had communicated with us as to what was going on. Someone didn't show up to get our cars until 3 days later. This company was horrible about communicating with us. They kept promising they would call us with an update and they never did. When a company was finally booked for us, I received an email before I received a phone call. I will never use this company again. They caused so many headaches and made us late leaving town to get to our next duty station. If you're considering using Roadrunner, DONT!!!!

    Good experience except for two items: Price hiked a little ($180) from original quoted price. I understand that the contract has to be picked-up by a willing driver but the possibility of an increased price wasn’t discussed with me at the time of booking. Not really complaining because the enclosed shipping service was impeccable and the car arrived in great shape, an extra $180 was probably worth it but it would’ve been nice to know upfront.

    2nd issue was tracking. I always had to call to get this info. Maybe I was mistaken, but as I understood it at booking I would be able to track (locate) where my car was at any given time via the website and my order #. All the website ever said was “in-transit”, along with expected arrival date. It wasn’t a real issue though because I was able to speak with the driver on 3 or 4 occasions and he was happy to call me also with requested info. Bottom line: I was really happy with my experience; there’s just a couple things RoadRunner could fine-tune to make it an even better experience.

    It wasn’t the worst experience but it was not great. First, after I booked the appointment online, they called me a day before pick up and told me the quote was wrong and they needed more money. I wasn’t a big fan of this because obviously at this point what are my options? Then they called to confirm that the car needed to be picked up at 11am. I had put this in the instructions when booking and was pleased they saw it. However, I was told the driver was 20 minutes away repeatedly starting at 11:15am until the car was finally picked up at 2pm. Lastly, the car had zero issues when loaded. A day later I get a call saying they took it off the truck to get another vehicle and now it won’t start. Thought that was very strange since it had been started roughly 5 times without issue less than 12 hours prior. They got the car to destination in 1 piece but not the best experience.

    Absolutely terrible customer service. Been working with Anthony ** in SD about shipping my classic truck from Base to Base for my PCS. After working for a while with this man (been doing training for a new AFSC) his prices were getting beat by more reputable and respectful agency. Well tonight (27 August 2020) Anthony called again but at 8:30pm (seems late right?). Anyways, he asked me about shipping my vehicle. I told him very professionally that we have decided to use someone else. From here he started prying asking questions. When I told him I was not comfortable releasing certain information he went off on a tangent. I told him to have a goodnight and hung up.

    Within 20 seconds of ending the call, he had another colleague call. As soon as I answered this man starting prying as well (fairly certain you could hear Anthony in the background). Kindly explained I found someone else to use and once again the man went off on a tangent. I told him as well to have a goodnight and as I was hanging up he replied "alright loser". For a "veteran owned" company acting this way to someone who is currently serving and trying to not go belly up to send his vehicle to a new PCS location, this sort of customer service should NOT be tolerated. I would gladly rate this company negative if I were able to. For anyone looking to ship a vehicle from this company BEWARE!

    We were scheduled for our car to be transported and were not getting any carriers assigned, apparently it was a very busy time. They gave us a covered carrier and we had to pay extra. Had a very hard time getting anyone to talk to -- the phone number would not connect you to anyone and the chat on-line took forever. We had to make arrangements for our neighbor to hold the car for us. It was very nerve wracking to leave our car, with no guarantee that it would be transported, when we were moving across the country.

    After obtaining an auto transport quote online, I had additional questions and concerns which lead to a detailed phone conversation with an agent. He appeared charismatic and assuring. I explained that I was on a tight schedule and was verbally promised I’d have my car shipped by or on my preferred ship date. I secured the reservation with a credit card (hold) and I was told that I’d receive a call 24-48 hrs before my ship date confirming my assigned auto carrier. Within that window, I received no call or email updates, and was unsuccessful reaching anyone via online chat (it’s a bot) or by phone.

    An agent eventually contacted me one day after my confirmed ship date, at which that time I declined service. As a result of their blatant negligence, I was forced to secure another car carrier at the last minute. Additionally, I had to change my air travel itinerary among other moving arrangements. The agent showed no empathy and offered no apology. Huge, costly inconvenience and completely unreliable. I do not recommend.

    Felt a bit sketchy at first, and price did go up from estimate, that was probably because they couldn't find a trucker to take at that price, which could or couldn't break deal.     We Booked a car transport for Aug 4 on July 25th. from SD to Cincy. No emails (except auto emails), no calls. no one answering the phone.... Finally got through to them on Aug 5th and they said they were not sure when a driver would pick up but that I would be notified when.. I saw the handwriting on the wall.. On Aug 7th I contacted a few other auto transport companies and for a few hundred $ more I got a 2 day pickup verified and booked with another company who has awesome customer service and are straight shooters. Tried to call Road Runner back to cancel- but their phones are off the hook today...geez. Finally they replied to my cancel email and said the order was cancelled..

    As many others have stated on other review sites, this company has very questionable business practices. They are extremely helpful and responsive prior to signing you up and taking your money for the car transport. Once you paid and the car is scheduled for pickup it is virtually impossible to reach any agent. In my case the car was damaged during the shipping process and after filing a claim your calls or follow ups will just go into a black hole. No matter how many voicemails you leave, nobody will call you back or even acknowledge that you called. I can't recommend to anyone Road Runner Auto Transport.

    Generally the experience with road runner starts out very well with a courteous sales person. Their pricing was slightly below others so I decided to go with them. Pretty much nothing else the salesperson Matthew ** said to me was accurate. He said someone would contact me the next day two days at the latest. No-one contacted me and I reached out numerous times to them. After wasting about 1.5 hours chasing them down I did speak to someone who said as soon as a carrier was located they would call me back.

    Eight days later I get a email saying a carrier was selected and to call the number. When I call the number I discover that they're asking for a nearly 20% increase in price because "the market changed". I understand that the market changes, but these guys are crooks. They told me the market had changed initially when we agreed to a price, and I was paying 200 dollars more. They promise you all these things on the phone, and when something goes wrong they take no ownership of the situation. Their solution is you want your car you can pay more. They never once offered to make any concession of split the difference. The intentionally market shower prices to get you in and then if they can't deliver it's your wasted time and you having to pay more.

    I arranged to have my car shipped on a particular date and for the price requested by Road Runner. Neither was met. Worse, once the order went to the dispatch department, no information was forthcoming about the status of the shipment, greatly inconveniencing the person at the pickup end and me at the receiving end. For days after the scheduled pickup date we had to keep our schedules open awaiting information on the actual pickup date. When I did finally hear from Dispatch they said they had found a driver on the condition that I pay approximately $200 more than the verbally contracted price. Although the car did get delivered, I won't be using Road Runner again.

    They aggressively pursued my business, after I agreed even though they were more expensive I agreed due to a quick promise shipment date. They did not pick up my vehicle on time. They didn't deliver on agreed date. No notification of not picking up car. All forms of contacting with them fail have failed. No phone support. They have you hold for long periods and then auto hang up on you. So far 4 times. Phone messages claims use online for immediate assistance, and it has a wait time of 116 minutes just to online chat. I left online contact. No-one has contacted me online or other so far. I still have no idea when my car will be picked up or shipped. They did have time on the ship date to call me and attempt to sell me 289.00 dollars for added insurance claiming I forgot to fill out the form request when I refused it on the form. But they didn't have time to call me and tell me my car didn't ship. Don't use them..

    Roadrunner Auto Transport should NOT be in business. After they give you a quote they then raise it up another $300, if you tell them to forget it they will still charge you a cancellation fee. It took them 10 days to deliver my car. They will ignore your text & calls and if they do a answer your text they will make something up or lie about your delivery. If Roadrunners would be upfront with their customers & honest I would have had a problem. I would recommend this company to anyone.

    When you arrange a booking, they are extremely helpful. In our case, we made the arrangement and then the driver never showed on the date we arranged. We called numerous times and they would not answer or they would hang up until I used a phone number they didn't know was associated with me. I was able to get ahold of customer service once and they said they would call me back to let me know where the driver was. They never did call me back. We ended up finding another carrier to pick up our vehicle. So we cancelled with Roadrunner. They charged our account for the service we never received. To further aggravate things, when we were given our quote, it was about 100 dollars cheaper than what they charged us. Stay away at all cost. It is not worth the aggravation and the other carrier we would do with was a few hundred dollars cheaper and expedient with amazing customer service.

    The service on this 2.5 years ago was GREAT. Today I called for a quote on a return shipment and this guy was AWFUL. I asked why the increase.     I had a terrible experience. I spoke with Sean Brady to arrange the shipment of my elderly father's vehicle to me. Sean knew my father needed to have a time and date arranged and confirmed due to his poor health. Sean promised me 10am on June 9th. I repeatedly asked if this time and day would be for sure, he always replied yes. I booked the shipment. On June 8th I still hadn't received confirmation so I called. Sean would not answer my calls or emails. I called customer service and they said the date was not guaranteed. So I cancelled. They charged me $135. I called to ask why since they had broken the verbal contract which I also had an email from Sean as proof. The girl became angry and told me they fight with their customers all the time and win because the written contract says you get charged if you cancel. She told me they welcomed the fight.

    I have continued to call and email Sean to see if he would help, but he won't return my calls or emails. In fact, since I paid he hasn't. I'm certain this is a tactic they train too. Lie to the customer until they pay then ignore them. Just look at Google reviews. I'm hardly the first. I've opened a BBB case and they did in fact respond with the written contract and will not honor the verbal or email one I had with Sean. I am an active duty military member with a family of 4, so $135 means a lot to me. It means nothing to them unless this is a tactic they rely on for income because no carrier was ever assigned, no time was lost, so they had no expenses. They simply train and employ tactics to rob people of their hard earned money.

    Because so many military use car transport companies I feel it is my duty to ensure this company stops. I will seek counsel from lawyers in the military system and explore government channels to have them blacklisted. I will devote both on duty and off duty time until I feel this company has changed their practices. I will post this story on every platform available. Your representative wanted a fight, but my fight isn't against Roadrunner. My fight is for those who can't fight for themselves. I will attempt to protect the vulnerable against this scam.

    I have submitted an order ** on 5/25/2020, promised pick up on 5/28/2020. Called few time and no action besides "we are working on it". Try to call the phone number and good luck speaking with anyone besides the online chat which you still have to wait over 12 minutes to get someone. I have waited 12 days, each time they assured me they are working on finding a transport and couple more days then the call came asking for over $600 more than the original cost. They called said, "We did not charge your card yet and you can cancel"!! How unprofessional and bad business. I wasted 12 days and now I have to start all over again.

    Please do not use them. I scheduled a shipment to pick up my vehicle from Ohio and ship it to Florida. I expressly stated that the vehicle needed to picked up by Thursday because I would be gone for 3 months starting Friday morning. Thursday comes and goes. I placed 30 phone calls in 8 hours and did not get through once until I selected New Booking and then they answered and then transferred me to a voicemail. I paid $1000 that I now expect to be refunded and they will not even pick up the phone. Filing a chargeback first thing in the morning to get my money back that way. So, al in all... I will not be out any money but please take my warning and do not use them.

I called the company as soon as they opened on the next day (Monday morning) to cancel the service - before any drivers were assigned. This company still charged by credit card $135.     Wow! What a terrific experience. I live in NC, and needed a car transported from Nevada to my home.     I scheduled an auto transport for late May. I had to cancel in excess of two months before the scheduled date. Right after cancelling, I was charged a $135 cancellation fee. When I called to inquire, the customer service agent was rude (not the first time - I once called and was transferred mid-sentence to another department). I was told that I had signed a "contract" with that as a term. I never signed anything. When I looked up their service terms, there is a poorly worded term that appears intended to mislead. Do not use this company - I have never seen so many one star reviews on Yelp, wish I'd checked there first.

    After the booking I didn't get any tracking updates. I had to reach out to customer service to find out if our shipment was on time and then was told I would hear back. I got a call from customer service telling me that the shipment was still scheduled for Saturday but then later heard from the transport driver directly who said the delivery would arrive Sunday. This makes it hard to take delivery at a business that is closed for the weekend when we are trying to make arrangement for someone to be there.

    1- The driver and quality of their work is 100% official and no issues.

    2- Their switch and hate tactics of getting about $200 out of you is their scam.

    They tell you randomly it will be more at the last minute. They continue to tell you about how you need extra insurance to cover your car while. I was shipping my cars (2) back and forth between west and east coast. After my first experience with them I declined to use them again. They are a middle man to great transporters. Yet I have chosen to use another route after dealing with their ways. So all the reviews are accurate and repeating. The people they chose are legit and work amazing to make sure your stuff gets from A to B with no issues. It’s just their scam you for a little more on top after you already gave them your card and standing by for the driver. After shipping my cars back to California completing 3 more shipments outside their means. I have found not a single time has my price changed and it’s been true all the way through.

    I had a terrible experience with Roadrunner Auto Transport today. I was quoted online at $395 dollars to transport a running classic vehicle from Oregon to Washington state. Immediately, Kyle ** called me from the company trying to book the transport. I told him it was quote, not a purchase, and I was shopping prices and would contact him if I wanted to book. This is where he became very rude, and demanded I book now or would not get a transport at all. I told him I would not be strong-armed into booking without a chance to evaluate prices, and ended the call.

    I immediately receive an email from Kyle **, telling me that my quote WAS NOW 50 DOLLARS MORE THAN I WAS JUST QUOTED ONLINE. I told him that I would not book with his company, since he was pulling a "bait and switch" by upping the price that was just quoted. He then told me that he was glad I wasn't booking with them. I told him that I would leave this review, since he apparently thinks that berating and insulting the customer is how a company does business. Hey Roadrunner, do yourself a favor and dump this clown before he loses anymore business for your company.
