My 2016 Ford F-150 is covered with Omega Auto Care. It was giving me an engine error and it was not stalling out, but it’d be jumpy on the highway sometimes. I went to the dealership mechanic shop and I just gave all my information to them. They called Omega and everything got taken care of. I just had to pay my deductible and the stuff that wasn’t covered under the warranty, which was the spark plug. It was like 20 bucks. Omega gave me a follow up call to let me know what was going on.

The radio on my car wasn't working properly and Omega Auto Care replaced it. The claims process went really well. I filed it over the phone and it was pretty easy to do. Then I paid 100 bucks co-pay. Their reps are great. I've had Omega Auto Care for about three years and I'm satisfied with them.
Michael,
I have to admit that it's not often I see a $2000 radio, so I bet you were happy to not have to pay that. A $100 deductible sure is more manageable and easier on the pocket, and I know I would definitely prefer it. Thank you for the 5-star review!
Safe travels for the road ahead!

The air in my 2015 Nissan Sentra randomly started blowing hot. I was just getting off work and the dealeship would've been closed by the time I'd get to them. Pep Boys was close to me so I went to have the car checked out there. They also check the AC for free. They said that we got a bad compressor when we bought the car, so I had to get it fixed. I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care at the dealership and the process was easy. The car was in the shop for six days. I got a rental car and I didn’t have to pay for the rental car, unless it exceeded the five days.

My jeep had the basic three year and when it came to the end of warranty, I got a bazillion people calling me. At the time that Omega called me, I was transitioning from being out of the country and back into the states and I didn’t have available cash. They waived the intro fee and I told them when I was getting paid, and they worked with the billing date. They did a great job in trying to work with me to get the best price. It was 150 for the first month and then, they would bill you for the next month. They postdated the date for the first payment to come out. So, they’ve done good so far.
In my most recent claim, they didn’t cover all of it, which they should have. It showed ignition cylinder and an amount of 294.43. They covered everything but 100 bucks but my oil changes are free when I go every month. Everything is good with Omega but they need to get a call service for Eastern Standard Time when you reply to them. Other than that, it's fine. The dealership calls the number and they approve the work. At $185 a month, I better be happy. It should be like a gold plan.

My warranty ran out on my car and I needed an extended warranty. I found Omega Auto Care when I was surfing the web and I decided to purchase their warranty. When my car was overheating and some little plastic piece was broken, I filed claim to them and their process was okay. I just had to get everything straightened out for them to process everything. I had to wait for the mechanic to be finished and I had to pay my deductible. The total process took almost two weeks. I’m happy with Omega. All my problems are fixed. I'd refer Omega to anybody who'd ask.

Omega must have figured out through the system that I was out of extended warranty so they called me. They told me what the deal was and it was good. Compared with other providers, Omega gave me a better coverage and they sounded better to me. So then, I started doing payments for them. Their claims process was good, and everything worked well when I got my sensor fixed. I recently went and did the recall deal done, and everything is good now. It was fixed within an hour of me bringing it. Everything seemed smooth. I’m very satisfied with the claims process. People should definitely get with Omega.

I saw a commercial on TV for Omega Auto Care, and I just went and got it. I’ve been with them for four months and when the transmission on my ’15 Nissan Sentra wouldn’t shift, I took it to my mechanic. He told me what was going on and then I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care. We did it over the phone and the process went well. However, I thought once the car was in the shop, you would get a rental car. So, I went and got one. Omega has to let people know that as long as the car is in the shop, it doesn’t mean that they’re gonna pay for the rental car. Then, Omega has to come investigate. You’re paying for a rental car all along thinking they’re gonna assess you but they take a couple of days before they come out and then, you gotta pay for it yourself. But overall, it was an excellent program and the mechanic was excellent too. It was an awesome process.

I sent in a claim to Omega last week for some bushing in the frame of the car. The claim went through, and everything was fine. I usually take my car to the dealer shop, and they call Omega and then they see if they approve it. As soon as it’s approved, they start working on the car. Everything is perfect. I'd really recommend Omega to somebody else.

Omega Auto Care sounded like it would work for me at first, but with all of the back and forth with the dealership and Omega for the claim that I had, I just decided not to go with them. At first, the dealership wanted to use their part for the AC compressor and then Omega didn’t wanna use the dealership's part. Omega finally shipped the aftermarket part on Wednesday, the dealership received it on the Thursday, and then I was able to pick my car on Friday. I had to wait for a full week before I got my car. I'm not really satisfied with their claims process. Their reps were fair though, they answered my questions. It's just the timely manner when they got back to me, they took more time to get back to me to let me know an answer. I have to keep calling back. If someone would ask me about Omega, I'd tell them not to purchase them. I prefer not to use them.
Omarto,
You had a claim paid out for $1032 on a policy you had made ONE monthly payment on. I would say it worked out pretty good in my opinion. On top of that, your claim was finished 4 days after it was called in, so if the vehicle was at the shop longer, they didn't call your claim in immediately. After looking into your claim, I saw that everything was done the way it should have been, and when you do decide on another company, their process will be similar. We were sad to see you go, but I can honestly say we did things the way we should have.

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion for which I got an extended warranty so, if anything were to happen, I have it covered. Omega was one of the first that I heard to be a good provider so I went with them. And then when my AC stopped, I called them to see if it was covered. I have a little booklet that I kept in my car and it shows everything that's covered under the extended warranty, and I saw that that was part of the coverage. Omega told me to just go to any dealer of my choice and let the dealer know about the extended warranty, and then Omega took care of pretty much everything. They told me one price and then I ended up paying a lot less, so I was very satisfied. I was expecting to pay a lot more than I actually did. They covered a good portion. And the whole claims process only took a day. So, if you want your car under good coverage, you should get an extended warranty with Omega.
Casey,
We truly appreciate you for writing such a detailed review about our company. With the "Omega Auto Care Exclusionary New car Coverage" that you have, it's pretty hard to find a non-covered component, so you are definitely in safe hands. The extra mount that you paid were for shop supplies, which are essentially overhead costs for the shop(i.e. paper towels, soap, rags etc), and can't be covered since they can't really be defined.I'm happy to hear that you were satisfied with everything, and we look forward to working with you in the future.

I had my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee covered with Omega Auto Care. Its AC evaporator had an issue so I filed a claim over the phone. The interaction with their reps at the beginning was a bit rough because I was a new client. They questioned whether it was an existing problem with the vehicle or not. It was tough to try to get them to process the claim. They had me call the dealership and ask the dealership to take the evaporator apart to make sure that it wasn’t mistreatment on my part of my vehicle.
They wanted me to authorize it because if they found out there was negligence on my part of maintaining the vehicle properly, I'd have to pay for the tear down and the evaporator. They did take care of the problem, but I spent a lot of time on the phone, which as a business owner, took time away from me. Also, I live in Arizona which is a really hot area. And in the summertime, you can’t be without AC. I’m happy overall, but the process could’ve gotten a bit smoother.
You're a great example of how fast these policies can work with an almost $2000 claim paid out withing the first 3 months. Talk about getting your monies worth! Thanks for choosing Omega Auto Care and for sharing your experience.

We filed a claim with Omega Auto Care for our Dodge Durango's motor. Omega said they weren't gonna pay for the repair because the issue wasn't the motor. Then, my husband called them and they finally decided that they'd pay. But they didn't call my insurance company so my car sat there for six weeks waiting to get the go-ahead to do the repair. We finally called them back and told them that the insurance company had never gotten any word from them. They finally called and the vehicle was fixed within a week. I was not really happy with the way Omega handled my recent claim. I've got a 2014 Ford Escape covered with them and the transmission went out. I thought everything was gonna go all fine until they kept pushing it off, sending an adjuster out. And then, they said the holiday fell in there, which wasn't my fault either. They waited almost two weeks before they okayed the repair. The company that repaired the transmission did a fine job and told me they could have had it done in three days, but they couldn't do anything until the adjuster came and okayed it. So, waiting on the adjuster to come was the big hold up right there, and then once he came, getting the okay from the company to do it took long. And I don't have but one car. I had to rent a car, and I haven't been even reimbursed yet for the car rental.
I don't expect them to pay the whole two weeks because I know they're gonna wiggle out of that, but they should have reimbursed me for part of it. The papers were filed, so they can't say I didn't have any record of it. When I picked up my car, we filed the papers. We submitted the rental forms through fax. I was told that I had done everything I was supposed to do, and I would be getting a check in a few days, but the check had never come. I'm very disappointed that Omega didn't follow up and reimburse me for at least part of the days. It should have been a three-day repair, and I had to rent a car on my own for two weeks, which cost me almost $500.

Omega Auto Care covers my 2013 Terrain. And I had a claim for a little sensor thingie. The auto repair did the claim for me. I have a shop here in San Marcos that I use. I was in the next town about 15 miles, and luckily, I was in a parking lot when it decided to no-go. And so, I called Omega. They sent a wrecker who picked me up and brought me to the shop over here.
They had already called Omega because I had sent the repair guy a copy of my extended warranty card and he had already talked to Omega. And they got it in there because the check engine light was on and it would start but it wouldn’t go. And the little sensor thing actually is a safeguard because whatever was going on keeps you from going and tearing up your engine. So, it’s like a safeguard. It makes you not go. So, they got it over here and did the diagnostic, talked to Omega and fixed it within hours.
The overall claim process with Omega was good. They handled everything with the auto shop. I never even spoke to Omega, and boom, it was done. We have no issues. They told them, “Fix it. Do your thing.” The repair guy made sure he followed rules so there were no issues. It was a fairly small claim. I paid my $100 deductible and I was on my way. I’m a huge fan of the extended warranty.

My experience with Omega Auto Care has been very poor. When I had the throttle body on my 2014 Ford repaired, the dealership or repair shop filed the claim. My part was taking in the car in. The amount of time it takes to file the claim with Omega is ridiculous. The repair shop on the phone with them for two hours, while I sat there and waited. I’ve had to file claims three other times and the process is ridiculously time-consuming. Things became very argumentative on one of the claims and they chose words to deny the claim. Moreover, they hung up on me twice. The individual handling the claim put me on hold and went home for the day. After 15 minutes, I hung up and called back. The individual who answered the phone said the other individual just left and refused to deal with me.
Randall,
I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied, especially since the information you have received seems to be incorrect. Your most recent claim was approved in 13 minutes, the one before that in 28 minutes, and the one before that 12 minutes. I'm not sure why you were made to wait for so long, unless you are counting the actual time the repair as well.
As I am sure you know, every contract has it's limits and exclusions. What you refer to as "argumentative" was simply our adjusters trying to determine if the cause of failure on your vehicle was a covered component. Unfortunately it turned out that it was a bolt that caused your failure, and they are excluded from coverage.
I hope this provides some clarification. Thank you for being part of the Omega Auto Care family.

I had my Dodge van's alternator fixed and everything was 1,000% good, except I had to get towed out of the parking lot and it cost only $45, but Omega denied paying it. My alternator quit right in the middle of an intersection and a young couple helped me push my car off the road. The garage was a mile down the road so we called them. They came down with their jumper and they left it on my car so that I could drive to their garage. When I got there, they said that they were backed up and it was gonna be three days before we could even look at the car. They told me about another place across town.
The only way I could get to the other garage was to get towed. I was surprised that they only charged $45, which I thought was cheap. But when I called Omega and turned the charge in, they denied the $45 and said something about not paying for towing from a garage. I paid $2,500 for the warranty, and now they denied the charge when I was in a bind. I got the denial letter and they said I could file a written appeal. I haven't gotten the chance to do that yet.
The towing issue aside, everything went well at the place where I had my car fixed. I brought my paperwork in there, they looked at it, got on the phone quickly and called Omega. Omega answered quickly and the repair place told them what it was gonna cost. When the repair place got the part, they were paid before they even got the work started, which surprised and thrilled them. It was fantastic.

I’ve worked with Omega in the past. For security reasons, I got them for my 2014 Town & Country. I used them when I had one motor that went out on a window. The repair process was good. On the first claim, it was a little lengthy but they had a lot of other vehicles ahead of me. But my other claim didn't take that long to get the job done and get the vehicle back to me.
The claims process is as advertised where they check your vehicle in and the dealer will contact Omega for whatever the wreck. When Omega gives the okay, the vehicle gets repaired. I also used their car rental and got reimbursed, but the rental car process was a turn-off for me. The way it is advertised is you go in, you say you’re with Omega and you’ll get your rental. But it’s not quite like that. You gotta come out of pocket first then get reimbursed for your rental.
Other than that, I had a great experience with Omega. I have had XYZ done and it was covered. I’ve recommended Omega to friends and family. I try to recommend them to anybody who would listen. And my current car, I’m going to call Omega up when I get a few more thousand miles in so that I can continue the process.
James,
I'm sorry to hear that you felt as though the rental process wasn't explained to you better, but the good news is that you have had over $2,900 in claims paid on your contract so far, with almost 2 years and 30,000 miles left on the contract.

But the one for the engine oil didn’t expire. That’s the one I'm currently paying for.
My issue is I didn't know the warranty for the brake expired. I wish they could let me know the nearby time it will expire for future references. When I first got that warranty, they told me that it would expire at 100,000 miles. When I called to make the claim, they told me that it expired that same day. We are very sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with our coverage. I took a closer look at your claim, and the additional out of pocket cost was for maintenance items you had done. There was an additional $96 in labor that your repair facility charged you above what was necessary according to the national labor guide. Although we will pay the posted labor rate, we cannot be responsible for overcharged labor. Also, the reason you were paying $225/month is because you were only making payments for 15 months out of 60.

I highly recommend EGIS to anyone looking for an extended power train warranty, I will always use them in the future!

My experience with Omega Auto Care has been fine. I called the authorized dealer and they told me to have Ferg’s Garage fix my pick-up. They got down to where it was taking more parts and Omega had to send the adjuster down to look at it. He okayed and it was good. They had to put new front axles on my pick-up because the joints quit working and they wouldn’t be able to grease them. They took the axles apart and had to fix all that and I paid the extra. I'd tell others that I've used Omega and liked it.

I paid them $100 deposit and Omega covered the rest of it. Some of the stuff in the claim process were pretty easy. But in my last two things, I paid the shop out-of-pocket. I took my vehicle to the repair shop when an air conditioning condenser went out. They put some refrigerant and dye in it, and told me to drive it for a couple of days, which I did. Then I took it back. They located the leak and then waited. They had to replace the condenser and I think Omega bought the parts and had it shipped there. What was impressive was that a lady from Omega called to tell me, before the car was even finished, what was going on. I was impressed with the way they did business. I'm very satisfied their claims process.

When I called Omega, they gave me all the helpful information I needed. They told me what to do. I took the vehicle to the dealership and Omega told me to have the dealership send the price quote over. But when it come down to dealing with Omega and the dealership, it had my mind boggled. Omega was telling me one thing and the dealership was telling me another thing. I was just stuck in the middle and it took too long for me to get my car back. We went back and forth for a week or two, and I had to pay out of pocket a whole lot more than I thought I was supposed to. I thought I was only supposed to pay the deductible but I had to pay almost $600 out of my pocket.
The dealership was saying one thing and the claim people were saying that the dealership was charging too much. Omega said they were not gonna pay for what the dealership was charging and I didn’t understand. They told me to take the vehicle to a licensed place. They wanted to make sure it was done right and by a professional. That was what I did but then later they said that I should’ve read the contract and that they were only gonna go by what the price should be. I don’t know what the price should be but I know that dealerships do charge a little higher. For now, what I’m doing is I take the vehicle somewhere else, to another mechanic. I'm not going back to that dealership because I think they were charging too high. So in the end, Omega did what they were supposed to do.
Omega replaced the alternator. They paid for it and shipped it to the dealership. But I had to pay for a battery because the alternator drew the battery out. I do have the warranty for the battery but Omega said the battery wasn't covered because the alternator made it go out. I also didn’t get a rental vehicle because the first thing Omega said was that they'd pay for the rental depending on what problem they find and it may not cover for rental. If they didn’t cover the rental, then I’d be stuck with that bill too. I didn’t wanna take a chance. The rep came back later and told me they would cover the rental. But she did this a couple of days afterwards. I had been getting somebody to take me back and forth to work.

I have a Mazda CX-7. The window stopped working and the first time I went to a dealership, I told them about it. It was on a Saturday and I went in there to pick up a gas cap. All I was gonna do was ask the lady there if they took the coverage. But the lady didn't even look at it. She just picked up the card and said my warranty only covers my transmission. She looked like she was in a bad mood so I left it alone. When my AC died on me, it was the worst time for me because the rain was pouring down and my windows were getting foggy on the inside. It was a Thursday. I called the dealership on the same day and asked them if they took it. The man that I always deal with at the dealership said yes so I took the car in the next day.
I made a claim with Omega for the passenger window that would not go down or up and for the compressor that died. It was blowing hot air. Everything was perfect. The dealership didn’t complain about anything with Omega. They did all the calls and my car got fixed. The only thing they had to wait for was a part they needed. It took them a couple of days before I got my car back. I didn't get it back until Monday evening. Also, I have full coverage so Omega went to State Farm for a loaner car. Omega paid for the window and my AC which is running beautifully now. I was very satisfied with them and would recommend them to a friend.

I went to the dealer and then he said that Omega never answered the phone for a half hour. So, I called and got right through. Everyone I talked to at Omega said that nobody there sits for half an hour waiting for a phone call to be answered. So, I told them that I would tell my dealer to call them again.
When I did that, the dealer said that he called again but was on the phone waiting for over 15 minutes so he had to hang up. I called Omega back but then I got answered on the second ring. I was trying to explain to the rep whom I was speaking with that I wanted a new part but then she was telling me no and that she would like to give me a re-manufactured part. I told her "No" and that I wanted a brand-new part put in my car. She then told me that Omega won't pay for a new part.
I made three different phone calls back to Omega and my dealer made a couple of calls as well. Thereafter, I said "forget it". When I talked to my dealer thereafter, I told him to make the repairs and that I would pay for them. I called Omega again and the rep said that they offered to send my dealer a new condenser. When I said I didn't want a re-manufactured one, he said that condensers cannot be re-manufactured. I told the rep whom I was speaking to that I was okay with that but then my dealer would not accept the part. I also told the rep that the dealer said that he had to get his part from whoever he gets his parts from and that was the only way the car company would warrant the work. He was asking for 300 or 400 extra dollars to use his part. I explained to the rep that I wanted my vehicle to be under warranty in case even the parts fail. He said that they would warrant the parts and send my dealer a brand new part for a certain amount. He also explained how the dealers make their money by upcharging.

We find it rather unfortunate that you have chosen to go the route of writing bad reviews, when the denial of your claim well within the terms of the contract. As with any policy, yours outlines what components are covered and which ones are not. Your policy also excludes abuse, and driver inflicted damage. Your "Powertrain Enhanced" policy, along with all other policies, excludes "continued operation of an impaired vehicle", as it constitutes abuse. You called us to ask whether the head gasket was covered on 4/8/19, but then continued to operate the vehicle until 4/19/19, when it overheated. Per your own admission, on a recorded line, the vehicle overheated, you put water in it, and then continued to drive it to the repair facility. That is by definition "continued operation of an impaired vehicle". In addition to that, a blown head gasket due to overheating, is not eligible for coverage.
You also stated that " Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep has taken my motor apart and will not put it back together due to Omega Auto Warranty not covering my parts which needs to be replaced. They informed me I would have to have the vehicle towed from their shop with the engine dismantled", but failed to mention that we never requested the teardown, as you had approved that before the service adviser ever called in the claim.
Lastly, you stated that "The only thing they could tell me was they would not cover the parts because the Service Associate could not tell them what caused my parts to be damaged and they would not cover gaskets and seals. The Service Associate and technician finally informed Omega a failed water pump caused the damage. Omega still refused to honor their policy". The water pump IS eligible for coverage, if it has in fact failed, but failure was never shown. However, the damage to the engine was due to continued operation. Per the service adviser, the cylinder heads were warped due to overheating, which only happens if the vehicle is continually driven after overheating.
We are more than happy to pay for claims that fall in line with the contract, but unfortunately we can not be responsible for damage that would have been avoided, had the vehicle not been driven. As I previously stated, we are more than happy to cover your water pump if it has failed, so please have your repair facility reach out to us in regards to it. If you have any additional concerns, or questions, please reach out to our office.

However, when they told me I had a bunch of payments left, I didn’t think that was correct. I would like to have a lower payment, but then that would be something I would have to check into because I don't know how many payments I have left. I went into the dealership to have the windshield switch replaced on my '09 Dodge Journey and the claim process with Omega Auto Care was fine. I scheduled an appointment and the dealership found out what the issue was. The only downside about it is that they keep the vehicle a little longer than I expect. For this claim, they had it for two weeks. Also, I think I've paid more money doing things that the warranty doesn't cover than actually using the warranty so I'm at a catch-22 right now. But I like it for the major things that could go wrong, like with the AC system or the engine. The only downfall is you never know when that would happen.

When I purchased a warranty from Omega, the guy I was working with told me that I would only pay $100 and Omega could cover the full amount with whatever is going on with the car. When there was a problem with the spark plug of my car, the dealership that I dealt with said that normally, warranties don't cover spark plug service. Then they gave me three different diagnostics since they didn't know exactly what was wrong with my car. My car is not covered under the GMC because Omega's rep told me that it should be still covered under their warranty, but it’s five years old now. I still haven't got 34,000 miles, and Omega won’t cover it.
Other than the plugs, there was also an issue with the oxygen sensor. It's frustrating since it seems like this car is in the shop every couple of months. It’s one thing after another and I had to pay to get my car. I was not too happy with that because I wasn't expecting to pay for anything but my deductible. I talked to somebody at a department and he said that they would look into it. I didn’t get a callback from Omega to let me know if they were covering anything or not. So, I’m just taking my car. Despite that, I’m happy with Omega. They have quick and friendly service. I also didn’t have any problems with Omega a few months ago covering whatever. Their reps answered the calls and were helpful right away. I looked up Omega online to find out different coverages and it was nice that I already have that.

I bought the Omega Powertrain Enhanced contract on Sept 17, 2015. Recently I carried my 2005 Ford F350 in for service. Fuel Injection Control Module is bad and needs replaced. Omega says that it is not covered. Contract states fuel sending unit and fuel pressure regulator are covered which is what this unit does. Since it is not listed in covered parts however, they refuse to pay. The only way to be sure about these contracts is to print out a list of every part on your car and see which ones they cover. That is a ludicrous act to make the average person do to adhere to a contract. They cover it with a "you had 30 days to look the contract over."
Perry,
The requested part was a FICM (Fuel injection control module), which is not listed for coverage in the policy. As with any named component coverage, a "Powertrain Enhanced" has a list that outlines all of the items eligible for coverage within the policy. As you know, and as we discussed, the item is not listed, and a fuel pressure regulator is a completely different part.
It is unfortunate that the required part is not covered, but we cannot approve non-covered components, the same way we cannot deny a covered one. Please do note hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,

I had a repair issue with the control arm and although the repair facility wanted to get everything going, they couldn't start until they got ahold of Omega to approve all of the rates and that took them a while. I would have liked it to be a little more timely. Also, I didn't realize that there was only a certain labor rate that was covered. The repair facility told me that my coverage only pretty much covers what a small mom-and-pop would charge for an hourly rate, not what the dealership would charge.
Maybe it's some of my fault that I didn't read the approved labor rates carefully enough. But it was a little misleading that I couldn't take my Cadillac to a certified dealer and really have all the cost covered. I ended up paying quite a bit more than I was prepared to. So it was definitely negative that the work couldn't be all done at a certified Cadillac repair facility. Nonetheless, the warranty is definitely valuable if something goes wrong. In the event that happens, you know that you're somewhat covered. But there's a cost benefit analysis to how much money I'm paying because the extended warranty will actually use that out.
Brandon,
We appreciate you sharing your experience, as we listen and take in all feedback. Based on your review, it seems you may have been given some misinformation. Your claim was approved in 28 mins, which I am sure you can agree would be considered a timely manner. Also, we do negotiate the labor rate, but the repair facility shouldn't have passed the difference on to you once they agreed. If they did, please reach out to our office at your earliest convenience, and call ext 224.

I went to the auto shop for regular maintenance, and there was something that was already happening. The door lock wasn’t working. So I usually take it to Toyota, the dealer, to do all the maintenance. The guy gave me an estimate and everything. He scanned also my extended warranty, the thing that I have, and he said, “Let me look.” Then, he gave them the information, the card, the phone number over the phone. He called and he got the info.
He spoke to them, and he had to be on hold for a little while. It felt like it was a long time because they put him on hold and they said that it was Sunday. That is when I usually take my car, on the weekend. But he got the answer. I didn’t get it fixed on that Sunday because they said that the price wasn’t a match for them, so they had to send a piece. They said, “We can do it but I’ll have to wait for them to send me the piece to replace it,” because they don’t take the whole price. After all that, I had to come back out on a Thursday -- that was when he got the piece and they were able to replace it.
But I was wondering, what if it would have been something else aside from the door lock and that I wasn’t able to drive it, like it really was something that happened? Then, I would have to wait four days for them to decide whether "Yes" or "No", or send the piece. It took longer than I would have imagined. It was with them for two days. They would say that if something or two would go wrong, you go to the place, get certified, and then it gets approved and then just pay the deductible which is $100 and then it will be fixed. But it wasn’t really like that. They had to call and then it had to be approved and then they didn’t approve what piece they were giving and that they had sent the wrong piece. Nevertheless, it was fixed.

It’s like they ask for one thing, for the dealership to turn in to them, so they receive that information. Then the next day they are needing that, and then they sent in that information. I felt they could’ve just done all this at one time, instead of doing it in a week and a half process.

I have a Jeep Wrangler covered with Omega, and I recently filed a claim for the engine oil filter house intake manifold gasket. The claim process was easy and better than anyone I’ve had prior. My mechanic handled it directly with their company. I've told a few people about Omega because they are an extended warranty company that stand behind what they say. It’s hassle-free, it’s simple, and it’s worth the money.

My Acura MDX is covered by Omega Auto Care. Recently, I filed a claim for my alternator and the process was very easy. I just called them and let them know what was going on. They told me to take the car to any dealer or repair shop and they’d take care of it. The reps were very nice and knowledgeable. I'm very satisfied with the claims process. I would definitely recommend Omega Auto Care and would tell others that it’s the best insurance for coverage for cars and for any repairs.

Omega called me saying that my warranty was gonna be up. The rep told me about the breakdown and I decided to go with them. I wanted to get an oil change with the car so the guy from the dealership decided to tell me that I have a warranty but they don’t cover simple maintenance. This was something serious so he told me that the only way they can do the claim was for me dropping the car off. They gave me a car for three days because while I drop it off and by the time he put the claim in, it took a little bit. Even so, I was happy with the amount of coverage that Omega has provided. It was the full amount and all I had to do was pay the $100 deductible. I’m satisfied and I will recommend Omega to anyone.

I took my vehicle to Pathfinder and I told them that when it rains, my windshield wiper would wipe a while when it's raining hard and then it would stop for five seconds or more. So, they checked it out. I needed a windshield wiper motor and while they were checking it, they said I needed a radiator motor fan. They showed me the parts where it was going bad on the two fans in there. The dealership filed the claim with Omega Auto Care and I’m very pleased with the way everything was handled. I called Omega and I talked to Amanda who told me that if I needed it, I should get it done because they said so. I'm satisfied with the operation from Omega and I would like to give Amanda a special thanks.

Seriously, this is a legit, awesome company. NO PROBLEMS! Great service! In the past 4 days I had to change my car battery, brakes, windshield wiper blades and I got a oil change. The brakes, blades and oil change was free and I got a $100 of my new battery. For the first year you get these incentives (3 oil changes up to $55 each). I’m very confident that if I ever have a serious problem with my car that Omega will take care of it without hassle. The monthly payments are fair considering what you are getting. Don’t be skeptical in getting their coverage. You don’t need it until you NEED it. Saving up money for a car emergency sounds great, but their coverage is really a million times better and it brings great peace of mind. I almost can’t wait until something breaks on my car because I know they will take care of it and then I’ll have new car parts.
IMPORTANT: I’ve been able to go anywhere I want for work/repairs and they pay. However, the two places I went to get work done told me that they don’t take “insurance stuff”. I explained, “If you call them they will pay you immediately over the phone with a card.” I asked them, “Do you guys accept card over the phone if I were to pay you?’ Of course they said yes. I replied, “Thank you can take Omega.” It wasn’t really a hassle explaining that this was a legit form of payment. They called the number and got paid.
I say this to let you know that for some places you just have to explain to them how easy it is. They’re worried about delayed payments. Also, so that you don’t have to explain, you can go to your car dealership and they take Omega. Omega also has contracts with large companies like Pep Boys who are familiar with the process, so no hassles.
Overall, this really is a great company. I was concerned initially when they first called me to sell coverage but now I am SOOO happy that I have them. I can drive my car worry free knowing that if my transmission fails all I pay is $100 down, and the rest is taken care of. This morning when I got off work, I’m a paramedic, my car didn’t start FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (and it’s a good car). The first thing that went through my head wasn’t worry about how much this was going to cost or, “I was saving for a vacation and now that’s out the window”. I thought, “This is a delay to my morning, but I’m financially set.” I really didn’t care what was wrong with the car. I just knew that it will be fixed and I won’t be broke. To conclude, get coverage for your car. It’s worth it.

There was a short in an accelerator or a pedal sensor of my vehicle, so I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care. However, the repair and claim process was a bit on the slow side. I knew I had the issue covered, so I called the dealership to have it towed because I lost all power, but they didn't wanna tow it there because I didn't have proof of Omega's service contract. I had to wait and have somebody from Omega fax them the fact that I had it covered. Then, they came and got the vehicle. Once they got the vehicle, they wouldn't do anything again because they had to go over what was covered or not covered by Omega's policy. I brought my little book and I told them it was covered. They told me that Omega Auto Care is a bunch of junk and that I should've gone with them. After several hours of arguing back and forth, they contacted Omega and Omega paid all but $100 deductible.
I'm frustrated because I only wanted to take my vehicle to the dealership, but the dealership did not like Omega Auto Care and they wanted me to take out an extended warranty with them. I haven't taken out an extended warranty with them and I didn't make my latest payment with Omega because I'm not really sure which is the best deal. I don't wanna get ripped off. I'm leery that if I go with the dealership, it might cause me an arm and a leg more and if I don't go with the dealership, the dealership seems to be very angry over Omega Auto Care. If I keep Omega Auto Care and go with the dealership, the dealership may mess with my car, then I would keep having to do more and more to it, which I really don't want to do either.
I'm quite leery of the whole entire process and I'm not really sure which one I should pay and which one I would stay with. But right now, the dealership is not too keen on me having Omega. When I got my car, I got the best deal ever, even though it's a 2016 model. It only had 23,000 miles under it and it was like a brand new car even though it was a 2016. I've had it for six months and it's above the 36,000 miles already, so the warranty is no longer there. I should really have an extended warranty, but I don't have an extended warranty because I don't know where to go.

Purchasing the extended coverage was the smart thing to do. You get a used car, you get a warranty. I have a Chrysler 200 2015 covered with Omega Auto Care. I took the car to the dealership and they checked it out and they said something was wrong with something. I try to keep the car oiled and everything done on a regular basis, so I was wondering what they mean something was wrong. I was freaking on that and the rep asked didn’t I have a warranty. I said that I do, so he called the people at Omega and Omega really lived up to what they said. I’ve never used them before, but I know that they said that I could get free oil changes.
I just couldn’t understand how that worked inside and I just didn’t really bother with that. It seemed complicated to me, but it works really well for me and it was a wonderful experience. I didn’t really do anything. They told me to sit in the waiting room and a couple of hours later, the car was fixed. I was so overjoyed because nothing had been wrong with the car. I was really glad. I’ve had a lot of people call me trying to get me to switch, but I’m quite content and that’s what I tell them. I have recommended Omega to several people. The lady who was with me, who I met in the waiting room, also had Omega and she was happy and satisfied.
When you are a woman and you are looking for a warranty company, you really have absolutely no idea what makes one company better than the other, so you are going to decide based on what some person is telling you over the phone. The guy who I spoke to made it enough for me to come with Omega. He made me feel like it was gonna be a good decision. In my 60s, I have been through the nightmare of taking the vehicle to places and it was just horror stories. I said that I needed a good warranty company that’s gonna do what they say they’re gonna do, and he did.

Gary,
Than you for sharing such a great review. People often feel that their newer vehicles will not have issues, and also underestimate the cost of repairs that are not detrimental to their vehicle. A/C repairs can be costly, so to only pay a small deductible instead of an $800+ repair bill, must have been a lot more manageable. We appreciate your trust in our company, and your business.

I have the Vanguard Vehicle Armor coverage with Omega Auto Care and it was a good deal. It was $2,800 for 100,000 miles. I did my research on the coverage and on the price of the coverage, and other companies that called me had about the same amount but less miles. In fact, I will tell others to buy the warranty because it's really worth it at the end.
I had a wheel hub fixed and everything went well. Initially, there was a humming noise going on and the vehicle wasn't driving how it's supposed to. It was like hesitating on the back. It was weird. Then I was hearing some noises in the back as well. I took the vehicle to the auto repair place to get it checked out and they told me the issue was with the bearings. They got it fixed and everything was back to normal. The experience was very easy. It was just about a day too. I left the vehicle there overnight. The service guy was telling me that he had to send an email to Omega, which took a few hours, but it didn't bother me. It was pretty quick. I'm glad it turned out well and I'm glad I had the warranty on the vehicle. Omega did an excellent job.
Marco,
We appreciate your insight, since people often think that the coverage is expensive, not realizing just how fairly priced and beneficial it is. Even though you paid $2,800, you have a limit of liability equal to the actual cash value of your vehicle on the date of purchase. That means that even towards the end of your contract, we will still value your vehicle at the same amount that it was the day you purchased your policy. That is just one of the great perks of our policies.
Thank you for choosing Omega Auto Care for your auto protection!

I had a claim for the fuel pump of my 2006 Dodge Ram and overall, Omega did good. The only issue that I had was that it took them so long to repair the truck. For a little, simple fuel pump problem, it took them two weeks to fix it. I don't know if it was because of the insurance or the dealership was backed up. But they made me wait an extra day or two because they were trying to get the part. Initially, the insurance said that they could get the fuel pump cheaper and that they were gonna order it. But then they called the dealership back and told them that it was gonna take five more days to get the fuel pump. The dealership said that they couldn’t wait five days and I wasn’t gonna wait five days either. So the insurance company told them to go ahead and get one for 400 bucks.
My only suggestion for Omega would be that if they are gonna do that, they oughta make sure that they have a company that they can call right up and get the part from, and that they can have it delivered in that manner. If the parts were on hand, the truck would have been fixed three days sooner. Otherwise, I was happy with the experience and I would use Omega again if I got another vehicle and I needed it to extend the factory warranty.

I understand that paying out of pocket can be frustrating, and I am sorry that you had to. Unfortunately I know your frustration all to well, as a fellow luxury vehicle driver. Luxury dealerships tend to not go by standard industry guides, but rather choose their own inflated labor guides and part prices. Often times the dealership will amend their prices, but some places do not, which is what happened in your case.If you have any future questions, you are always welcome to call our office.

Annise,
We appreciate your understanding on the matter, and you are correct. Luxury dealers tend to not use the industry labor guides, and instead they use their own guides to determine repair costs. This is very very unfortunate whether you have additional coverage or not, since it leads to inflated prices.Again, we appreciate you taking the time to do some research, and gain an understanding. On the upside, you do have exclusionary new car coverage, so you have the highest level of coverage available for purchase. Omega is doing me a good job, and I appreciate them. They cover my F350 Dual Rear Wheel. It's a 2013 Ford. I had to put it in the shop because the water pump went out on it. Ford took care of filing the claim, and all I did was hand them the card that Omega sent me in the mail. The claim was approved on the spot. I'm extremely satisfied with Omega's claim process. They're really meticulous as far as what they cover. I'd like to see the shops' hourly rates covered 100%, so I don't have to come out of my pocket with any money because Omega gets their money from me every month, which is almost $200. They get it on time.
I also filed a claim yesterday, and by time I got through filing that claim, I drove the truck from the Ford dealership 40 miles away to another Ford dealership and traded the truck in on a 2015. It's starting to have problems. It's over 100,000 miles, and the Ford drivetrain warranty's gone now. So what this outfit doesn't cover, I gotta cover out of my pocket. I can't be spending that kind of money. So I got to call Omega and see about swapping the policy over to the truck I got now.

The turbo went out on my Ram Dodge Diesel 2500, and Omega was wonderful about the claim for it. The Dodge dealership, however, was so bad. Dodge prices were too expensive, and they didn't want to drop the prices. Omega found a turbo for $1,700, and Dodge wanted to charge over $4,000. They would not take the part that Omega found. The Dodge dealership did not repair my car so we took it away from them and went with another repair facility. I haven't had any problems with Omega. They made the claim process as easy as possible. Whenever I've called in, it's straight to a person. It's not automated, and you can understand the people.
Christy,
We are obviously very happy to hear that you are happy with your policy and our claims department. The scenario that you describe is actually one that shows just how important these policies can be, because not only would you have had to pay for the whole repair yourself if you didn't have it, but you would have been forced to pay an exorbitant amount of money. I lost my battery because the alternator went out and I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care through the dealership. But even if the car alternator was covered, Omega would not cover the battery. It was a moot point because it states in their policy that they don't cover batteries but they should also take into account what the dealership tells them. Apart from that, they did me right the one time I used them. Everything went like clockwork and even though I had to spring for the towing service myself, everything else was great.

The interactions with their customer service reps have been really well. I had to call once because we were running into some financial trouble that we couldn't afford the payment, and they worked with my plan. They got my payment lowered and they made it a little easier for us to deal with. They're very considerate and customer oriented. I would recommend them. Everyone in that company was really helpful and they'd answer questions. If you leave a message they'd call you back. I was very pleased with the company.
I had an issue with my air conditioning and they said that I could take it either to the dealer or to a shop. I chose the dealer 'cause it just happened to be closer to me. I've had Omega Auto Care cover my 2013 Ford F-150 EcoBoost 4-wheel drive and I've only used it once. It was a minor issue. My truck had 107,000 miles on it and had never been touched. It's normally a common practice to change out the thermostat especially since nothing had ever been done in that kind of mileage. But when my water pump went out, the dealership said that we needed to change out the thermostat and Omega would wouldn't cover that so I had to pay the deductible plus the thermostat on that claim. With that kind of mileage, thermostats wouldn't have been covered.
During the claims process, the biggest thing for me was finding the proper paperwork to show to the dealer for them to be able to submit a claim to be processed. That happened back in July and courtesy-wise, the dealership gave me another vehicle to drive while that truck was tied up in there. I ended up buying the 2013 Dodge that they loaned me. It had diesel and it has less miles than my Ford. I'm not travelling so much now. I'm more here and there and around the home and moving stuff. I needed a little heavier duty truck so I got the one-ton Dodge. So long as Omega Auto Care covers the things for whatever happens, I'm happy with them.

Omega called me before and told me the details of the warranty. It sounded good when I listened to the presentation so I had my 2014 Dodge Durango covered by them. Something went wrong with my truck and I had to take it to the Dodge dealer to let them run a diagnostic. They told me what the problem was and there were some parts that took a couple of weeks to get in. The Dodge dealership called Omega and filed the claim. Omega paid $500 and something but they left me stuck with $280 something. I thought I should’ve just paid the $100 deductible. The problem was something dealing with the electrical issue and Omega said that the item was not covered. But before I got that warranty, I asked them, “Do this warranty cover electrical issue?” They said that it's covered in the book.
They did not cover the full amount so I canceled Omega. I also called my credit card and told them not to honor their payment anymore. Some people from Omega called me and I told them the reason, and they kept telling me, “Yes, but your payment is due, and you can catch up, and do this, and do that.” When I tried to call the company now, it took me nearly four hours to get in touch with somebody. I was trying to call them to answer and the Dodge dealer was also trying to call them but they have not been able to get in touch with them just yet. I’m very dissatisfied with them and I’m not gonna recommend it to anybody else.

I had purchased an extended warranty directly through Honda and I thought I was going ahead and signing up for further extension of the extended warranty that I already had on my Honda CR-V 2006. So when Omega called, I was confused. In fact, I probably would not have signed up for their warranty. I would have continued with my Honda extended warranties. However, when I was required to use the Omega warranty, it did come in handy. It significantly reduced the repairs to my car so I was very happy that I, at least, had something.
The issue was something that I thought was very routine but then all of a sudden, it was a major issue. I also had had some repairs done prior to that but I forgot all about that coverage and I ended up paying them out of pocket. This time, I asked S&S Tires if the warranty would cover the repair and the man said he wished I would have carried that thing in my glove compartment. And it’s always worth checking, even for any kind of request, to see if anything that would be covered was claimed. I handed my policy to the general manager of S&S Tires and he said he would contact Omega. I left the onus to him and he knew exactly what to do.
When S&S called to say my repairs were done, I asked if they had any luck and I was told that, yes, a certain amount was covered. The general manager also didn’t indicate any issue with determining what would be covered and what wasn’t. Overall, I had been pleased. I now carry the policy in my glove compartment and I plan on using it instead of forgetting about it.
Jody,

My 2006 Ford Explorer is covered by Omega but I feel like the $3,039.95 was virtually for nothing. There is some stuff that Omega doesn't cover. So you gotta read your thing. I got a screwing one time because they said they don't cover valve gasket. I thought the representative was full of crap. They had to take the transmission out and put a front and a rear seal in it, and I don't see why they wouldn't cover it. I didn't appreciate that. They said they only cover that if something is wrong with the transmission. But all the fluid had leaked out and it wouldn't go. That was what they discovered when it was towed. I paid $4,000 for the warranty and ended up with nothing. Then they charged me $850 so I got screwed on that there. Now, I'm broke as a joke.
On the second time I used the warranty though, they actually covered everything. The belt on the air conditioner broke. It wrapped around and broke off the climate control sensor. Well, they didn't cover that and I had to pay for that. But they did cover the air conditioner, the labor, the belt and putting the gas back in it. So I didn't get screwed too bad there. But now, the vehicle has wiring harness issues and Omega is saying that they don't cover wiring. The mechanic said all the insulation is cracked around the wiring harness and it causes the vehicle to jump going on the road sometimes. It's like it's shutting off. Basically, it's a piece of junk.
On the other hand, as long as you give Omega the contract number, they know everything and they take care of it right away. I noticed that in some places you go to, they don't wanna touch that because they're afraid they're not gonna get paid. But that's just so they don't have to be an ASE shop. When I had the air conditioner and the climate control sensor fixed, the mechanic had dealt with those companies before and he said that was not a problem.
