The signup was easy and I had a year to pay it off. But no company wanted to work with Omega. The service was terrible. It took three months to get $100 back for a tire. The company said, “Look. We can't get you out of here because they’re not going to pay us. And it’ll take three weeks. So we'll give you the tire.” It was a tire and there was a nail in the sidewall. I needed a new tire. I was heading back to Florida from South Carolina, and they wouldn't do that. They said, “You can just submit a claim afterwards.” Omega wouldn't take it.

I had to drive from Florida to South Carolina to sit in the place and wait for them to redo the entire claim. Then it took another three months to get my claim money back because they lost the information over and over and over. They finally decided to give me my money back because they couldn't find any of the documentation. I did do another claim for an oil change and tire rotations, and that went through fine. But I had to sit and wait an extra hour for them to call Omega and register the claim. The call and the wait and getting to them was rather a nightmare.

I put in a claim about three months ago to get an oil change as well as brakes change and I'm waiting for reimbursement but I haven't seen it. Every time I've called Omega, it's a different story. It's on my mind to cancel the service because if I've been treated this way just for oil and brakes change, heaven forbid anything happen to my car. I might as well save $100 and put the money on account and save for when I do have the major breakdown because it's very poor service. I spoke to a customer service rep about two weeks ago who said it was misfiled and I should receive the reimbursement in a couple of weeks. I need to cancel because it's taking my money off my account every month and I'm not getting the service. It doesn't make sense that happens. I'm being ripped off and it's a shame. At my age and physical condition, I don't need this type of headache. It's putting extra pressure on me. I’m very dissatisfied.

I've only had one thing done with Omega and I misunderstood the paperwork but they explained it to me, so I'm good. The claims process went very quickly though I paid more out of pocket than I had for the actual policy. So right now, I didn't feel any benefit. But if I had a major repair in the future, I'm hoping that it will be more beneficial.

Our AC stopped working and the claims process was easy. But of all the companies I've dealt with, Omega is the hardest to deal with. The dealership confirmed that with me too. A lot of the dealerships would rather not work with Omega. They feel it’s more work on their end and I get it. But at the same time, I paid for a policy and Omega has come through.

I've had four other extended warranty companies in the past and it didn't take as long. The process with Omega takes a lot longer. Once the car goes to the dealership and once they find out there is something wrong with it, they have to submit it to Omega. They have always requested to send an inspector out. You take the car in and it takes a day or two for the dealership to look at it, then they send it over to Omega. Omega takes a day or two to receive it and process it. Then after that, it takes a day or two for them to send an inspector.

The inspector needs a day to send the report back to Omega who then needs 24 to 48 hours to process that inspection report. Then, the claims adjuster will approve or deny. If he approves, he lets the dealership know. The dealership has to order the parts. If the parts are a week away because they're coming from wherever, you got to wait a week. So, we're talking of a two to three week-process and they only cover you for the car for three days. So, you're without a car, which is my biggest complaint. I have been asked let everyone know but I'm not going to do that. Omega paid the claim, it just takes way longer. But I wouldn’t buy Omega again.

    Sanjay,

I'm sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience, but it seems your dealership gave you some incorrect information. We never sent an inspector, and we approved your claim within 48 hours. We only asked your repair facility to send pictures of the failure instead.

It appears that your vehicle was in the repair facility for 2 days before the claim was even filed, and then an additional 6 days after we approved the claim.

It would appear that your vehicle was in the shop for quite a while, but majority of it would have been out of our control. We definitely process claims as fast as we can, as it is in our best interest to finish a claim as well. We appreciate your patience, and thank you for choosing Omega Auto Care!

We had a couple of claims and we bought some windshield wipers. I turned it all in at once to Omega. The rep at the number that I called originally told me to fax instead to a certain number but that number would not go through and would revert you to another number. Then, I called and she said it hadn't shown up. She gave me an email address to send it to but I got the refund check so it did go through. I would recommend Omega though I understood at the time that refunds and oil changes were for the time you had it, and it was not. It was for a limited time so Omega called and offered me to pay X amount of dollars per month to have that extended. But the price was quite high that I could take the money I was paying for that and just save it and pay for the oil change.

I had an issue a couple of months ago with my vehicle and it was taken care of. I went to Firestone at first and they told me what was wrong with it. I called Omega and they told me what they could cover because Firestone was charging way over MSRP. I asked what I should do and they sent me to Precision Auto Tune. I couldn't leave my vehicle so I bought a new battery out of pocket and hoped that that would fix it. But the next day, the issue was still there and it turned out to be my starter. Precision fixed it and Omega paid for it. Unfortunately, they didn’t reimburse me for the battery. But they reimbursed me a portion of what I paid for the repair and the diagnostic and they waived my deductible as a military discount. They treated me right.

Something was wrong with the front end of my car and I wasn’t sure what the noise was. But the dealership was able to fix it and I only paid my $100. It was great. But there’s a big disconnect between the dealership and Omega. I constantly have to remind my dealership that I have Omega. Even though I bought the warranty from the dealership, they don't seem to have my Omega information linked to my account. So when I call and tell them, “Hey, this is what's going wrong. This is gonna be my claim kind of thing, I want to use it as my claim,” they would say, “What kind of claim? What are you talking about?” I would tell them that I have Omega. Then they would say, “Oh, okay. We’ll have to check it. We’ll let you know if we can do that.”

I didn’t know that I had a first year maintenance plan. So it went past that. I paid for two oil changes out of pocket, and never even realized that I coulda got my oil change for free or up to a certain dollar amount for the first year. Two weeks ago, I went and had my oil changed and told the dealership to use my Omega. But they said, “What?” I told them that I have a maintenance plan. They said, “Oh, okay, okay,” and they just blew it off. But I didn’t think to check with it. I checked out of it and paid 20 bucks out of my pocket because there was something else I bought. A few hours later, I got an email from the dealership saying, “Hey, you still owe this money. Your Omega didn’t cover this." So I called Omega and they said, “Yeah, you only have one-year maintenance plan.” But nobody told me that that was up from Omega. Nobody told me that that warranty was gone now and my year had lapsed.

I'm grateful that I have Omega. I had to put this truck in the shop one time right after the factory mileage was up, and it worked out perfect. So I’m very blessed to have this extended warranty. Living in North Dakota gets super cold so there was moisture in my crankcase filter and it froze, which in turn made the dipstick pop out from its housing, and oil was everywhere. I was fueling up and all I see was oil dripping out of my truck. Luckily it was a small issue. It wasn't any engine block so that was awesome.

I paid $100 deductible and the only other thing I had to pay the dealer was for them to degrease my truck and I ended up paying $250 out of pocket. I was satisfied with the coverage and I knew I had a $100 deductible but I was not expecting to pay any degreasing issues or fees from the dealer. I assumed that that was all part of the job. But I fully understand it. Though on my last truck, I had extended warranties also and I took that thing in numerous times and only had to pay the $100 deductible. I never paid any other fees. Still, I was very satisfied with the quick service from Omega.

    Ms. Lana,

I am sorry to see you are dissatisfied with your coverage, but after looking at your file, I can see that there have been a few misunderstandings, and I am hoping I can clear them up. Let's unpack them one at a time:
*We didn't refuse to pay your shop for the oil change. We called to make the payment, but didn't get ahold of anyone.
*Reserving the right to ship parts, or determine what parts to use, is standard procedure in our industry, and ALL other companies will do the same.
*NO company will guarantee that they will blindly cover 100% of any repair cost. NO insurance product (health, vision, car, or warranties) works that way, and if a salesman told you that, they flat out lied to you. I don't mean to sound harsh at all, but I have been in this industry for a long time, and it's unfortunate when people get lied to by salesmen who don't know the product properly.

However, don't take my word for it. I would suggest that you call the actual administrator of the policy you have been considering, and ask them if they would ship parts, and if they can guarantee to always pay 100% of your bill.

Lastly, I do hope that you decide to stay, and allow us the opportunity to show you that the policy was in fact a good investment, and we can EARN a higher rating in the future.

Thank you for choosing Omega Auto Care!

So, they had to change out the thermostat. I've had one other repair that had to do with my thermostat and something else that was not right on the vehicle. Then apparently, when they did the thermostat, that was why I had to go back the second time because they didn't fix something they were supposed to fix and caused a leak, which meant I had to pay another out of pocket fee and I'm probably gonna have to take it back for the same identical thing because it's still losing antifreeze.

Omega has done me pretty good as far as covering these issues. It's just I'm not really happy with the turnout because I think that the dealership is not doing their job properly. So, I may need to take it to a different dealership over in Pensacola where I bought the vehicle and have them go through it. But I wish Omega would explain the maintenance thing a little better because I still don't know what all I can do with it. All I know is I get three oil changes out of it. But it seemed pretty easy when I got the oil change. They changed it and I didn't have to do anything because I gave them the number on the card. Everything was covered for the oil change. Nobody's reached out to me to charge me, so I assumed it was all good.

The rate was high but as I told them that I'm a senior citizen, they gave me a discount. They stand behind on what they say they were gonna do. When I had to have ABS auto seal, they gave a little bit of fuss at first, but the technician said, "I already checked around and there's no used parts so it has to be brand new." So they gave up a little stink for about a day and a half, and they finally agreed to do it.

But it took what seemed like forever to work back and forth between the auto shop and getting approval. I spoke with the adjuster several times to try and expedite stuff. I used to be a mechanic and I know what the processes are since I've handled warranty claims. Omega seemed like they were over ensuring that I had a problem. They wanted to make sure that there was actually something wrong with the vehicle, and I wasn't trying to scam them.

Omega Auto Care was friendly over the phone. I had a bunch of questions to make sure it was not fraudulent because I always got that kind of stuff in the mail. They answered the questions I had. It was quick and just did paperwork, and we were able to handle the rest. I forgot that I got extended warranty services and the dealership told me that this one part would cost $1,800. I said, "Oh, my goodness." It was just our hazard lights were stuck on. Once I remembered I had it, I called Omega to see, "Hey, is this something that it would be covered?" And they said, "Yup, as long as it wasn't your fault, as long as it's just a mechanical break, then we can cover it." All I had to do was give my service manager at the dealership the phone and they coordinated the rest with Omega.

You got to read the fine print and know what is covered. So, before you pay for the service, make sure the things that matter to you are covered. For me, the biggest things were the tires. If anything randomly happened to the tires, the transmission, the engine, and the electronics to go along, which were all covered. Just realizing that if it's something that you did wrong and it was your fault, they probably would cover it. It's more or less to cover things that are no longer covered by the factory warranty for the new car. The thing they investigated with my case was whether I spilled something on the console that caused the switch to get stuck. So, as long as you realize that you got to take care of your car still. It's not a free pass. I only had to pay a $100 co-pay instead of $1,800 for a part. So, I'm extremely satisfied. My experience was awesome.

I was contacted by Omega for extended warranty after purchasing my first new car. I was spam called by them for weeks and ended up buying the coverage deal. It has been a nightmare since 2017. EVERY SINGLE REQUEST has been denied by omega. Every single one. I’ve paid over $3,000 and They don’t cover anything! The worst part: Now I need a timing belt and the dealership called Omega yesterday for coverage and Omega had canceled my policy!! They NEVER called me and when I called this morning they told me “We are not responsible for calling you. We don’t have to call.” Omega is saying I didn’t make the “last payment.” I said “well how many payments did I have and how many did I make?” Omega said I made 23 payments of $150 and missed the last 24th payment.

Why would I make TWENTY THREE payments of $150 and not make “the last payment?” It makes NO SENSE. This is a SCAM. Now they are saying there’s nothing I can do and that I don’t have a policy anymore despite giving them over 3 thousand dollars and them denying EVERY CLAIM I ever asked for in the shop. I somehow magically missed the very last payment after making 23 consecutive payments and they won’t give me any help.

I cannot stress enough: Do not use this company!!! I can’t speak enough about how rude every single customer service person I’ve spoke to over the years has been. The only time they were ever respectful and nice to me was when I was enrolling for their fake policy scam. Every other interaction with them since 2017 has been rude and just being told no every time my car needed anything. I’ve paid CASH for every fix every needed thing for my car. This was a complete waste of money. I don’t know how this company is still in business.

Take your money elsewhere. It’s gut wrenching to lose thousands and have them just not even care! I have to pay 2K for my timing belt and a couple other small maintenance things. I’m completely screwed. As a single parent it stings even more because I do not have money to throw away on fake warranty companies. I hope they get shut down but hopefully I can see stop others from losing thousands to this scam.

Omega Auto Care told me that they covered certain things which I was good for, which was my engine and electrical problems. So, I felt good with going with them. Purchasing was easy. And the reps were good. When they handled the claim, they handled well. They gave me a rent-a-car. The shop put a used part in my car. It malfunctioned and the car had to go back in the shop. So, I'm waiting for the adjuster to get to the shop. The only thing is I had the car for a week, drove it once, and now it's back in the shop. It has been there for three weeks. So, I'm a little frustrated, but I'm trying to figure out on whose end is supposed to do what because my car is still just sitting there. Whoever Omega had handling my case ended up going on leave. So, that put it in for the next person to take control of it so I could get somebody to start dealing with and handling my situation instead of me calling all over the place, getting frustrated.

They should just have the adjuster reach out more. Whoever's handling the claim, to make sure things are going accordingly with time. Because a lot of times, the dealer put it on the warranty people, and a warranty headed back and put it on the dealership when it comes to who they got the parts from, then the customer is left with the, "What's going on?" So, more of having the reps call when they deal with the claims to make sure that the claim is moving forward. Weeks shouldn't go by me not knowing what is going on with my car. That's the major problem right there. Every week, it should at least be a courtesy call with an update. Other than that, I had a great experience.

Then from there on, they started the process. It took about a month and a half. At first, they were trying to deny the claim because of the mileage. So, they had me do a lot of things to try and get them to believe that that mileage was correct at the time. My CARFAX on that vehicle was pretty extensive on there. I felt like they had me do a little extra work that I didn't need to do because everything was on the CARFAX. But other than that, everything was okay.

My air conditioner went out and it was covered under my warranty. They gave me very good service. When I sent the claim in, the dealer was gonna charge me a good amount of money. What Omega did was they reduced the amount of the air conditioning. The air conditioner in their warehouse was a lot less than what the air conditioner was in the dealership. So, that saved me a little bit of money. When that went down, they had it here within two days and the dealership fixed it the next day. I had my car within three days.

As far as the claim process, once I understood what they were trying to do, it became a lot easier. Omega Auto Care was the most affordable warranty that anyone offered me. The warranty that I was originally going to go with was about triple the price of what I'm paying now. The person that I spoke to at Omega was extremely informative. She was very quick and helpful when it came to me not knowing a lot of stuff. I didn't have to ask a lot of questions. She knew exactly what to say and how to sell the warranty. She knows about cars herself. She was telling me that not only is this specific warranty in my budget, but it also is paired through a lot of local auto shops that are nearby. A lot of other warranties that I did look at, they are pretty far out. Some places charge for towing and it's not included with the warranty, but Omega includes that. Also, I didn't have to pay a big deposit or have to do anything crazy with fees.

I did a claim yesterday for the starter on my car that finally went out. I had to be transferred to an adjuster about getting the ball rolling and on seeing if I could get a rental. It was fast and and they explained to me that I needed to wait for the auto shop to call them, that I didn't even need to make the claim and that they were going to take care of everything for me. That was pretty convenient. For the rental, I am covered for it. I just have to get the green light from the shop. What they will do is the shop will organize the whole rental getting set up if I absolutely need it. They still need to diagnose the car. They said it is the starter, but it could also maybe be something else. Now that the warranty is done, it could be the battery going out too. They were brief about it at the shop.

They wouldn't let the dealer use their wheel hub because they said the dealer was about twice as high as they should be. I was in a bind so they told me that afternoon that they were already processing shipping the wheel hub that night and it would be there the next morning. But it took two days for them to get the wheel hub at the dealer.

    Hi Bobby,

I am sorry to see that you are so dissatisfied with the service. We have approved 4 claims for you, but I understand how any denied claim can be frustrating. Unfortunately it is standard for exhaust components not to be covered on these types of coverages. I am truly sorry that this has upset you, but hope that your other experiences with us were much better.

I took the truck to my mechanic and he said the suspension was worn out earlier than it normally would be. So, I gave him Omega to contact and they said they would replace the parts at wholesale, and then pay for his labor. I still had to pay the difference in the wholesale cost of the parts and what the total cost was. But still, it was good. I had another deal a month later that had to do with the engine and they covered all the cost, except the deductible. So, I was kind of surprised. There was some inconsistencies in the way the coverage seemed to work. But I'm glad I had the extended warranty.

When I bought my car off of the previous owner, I had to ensure that it was in good condition for when I was going to be driving it. I took it into Goodyear in order to get some work done on it. I used my warranty for my brake pads. I’m very glad about the work that they put into the car. Now, it drives a lot better than before I got the work done on it.

I only go to Jim Burke Nissan to have my car serviced and to have my oil changed. Last year, my car started hesitating and it didn’t want to pull. It was my transmission. Every time I went over to the shop, the transmission person wasn't there. When I finally took the car in, they said I had to leave it because they had to do a diagnostic test. I told them that I had an extended warranty on my car and it should cover all of the stuff.

When they did the first diagnostic test, the tech said, “Those numbers normally don't mean the transmission is gone out. We got to do another test to go further into the transmission.” They didn't give me any paperwork on the next diagnostic they did. They just said that what needed to be done was to replace the pan. They called and did a claim just for that. The mechanic then supposedly put a pan on.

I asked why the whole transmission wasn't replaced. If I had paid over 4,000 and some dollars for Omega, they should have gone the extra mile for me. As of now, my car is still doing the same thing and it hesitates to pull. When you take off, it jerks. When my son took the car back over to the shop, somebody told him, “I like the wheels on your car but your tires are all wrong.” I have directional tires on my car. When the shop put the tires back on my car, they put the left tire on the right side and the right tire on the left side. By doing that, I was getting the vibration when I was driving. That was over a month or more of me riding my tires like that. My son went to Sam’s, where I got my tires from, and they switched the tires back around for us.

When my son went over to the shop to get the oil changed last week, the guy told him, “I can understand this and we’ll do what we got to do. But I have to talk to my supervisor first.” When he talked to the supervisor, the supervisor says it’s been over a month so there was nothing they could do. I would have to pay the 180 some dollars to do the diagnostic check. It was not on Omega for that part. It was on Jim Burke. But none of this would have happened if everything had been done the right way.

My car had to sit over there with them and I was without transportation for three weeks. When you take out the insurance, they tell you free rental service. But it’s not free at the time because you have to pay for the rental service and the insurance will reimburse you. You don’t know when they are gonna do that or how many days you are gonna have to rent the car. I have paid over $4,000 for my warranty. When I called, they said, “Your car is still under warranty for 172 or 173,000 miles.”

It was good to have my extended warranty because I didn't have 1,000 and some dollars out of pocket. But I end up having to pay almost $400 out of pocket on the work that was done to the car because I had to have a new battery. It’s not really Omega’s fault for everything that happened but they should have stepped in replaced the whole transmission because after that 173,000 miles is over and my car breaks down with the transmission again, I would have to come in and pay 3, $4,000 to have a transmission replaced when I don't have it. That's the purpose of me taking out the insurance from the beginning.

    Tracie,

Your dealership never told us you needed the entire transmission replaced, which is why we never explored that avenue. If, or when, it fails, we will be more than happy to cover any eligible repairs. Replacing a valve cover is a common repair, and does not automatically mean that a transmission needs to be replaced.

It sounds like 95% of the negative things you experienced, had nothing to do with Omega. We cannot control how fast the dealership moves, and we cannot replace a part that hasn't failed. I can appreciate that you are frustrated over the time it took, and the issue with the tires, but we had no part in any of it.

We hope that you will reconsider, and if you have any questions, please reach out to us at reviews@omegaautocare.com

Omega Auto Care offered us bumper-to-bumper warranty. They said just like new. But I don't know if I'm as happy with them as I thought I would because I was under the impression that I didn't have to pay anything. And when I went and took my car in, I had to pay a percentage. The other thing was I didn't know that I was supposed to call back in. When I got my package in the mail, I just put it in the file cabinet. I didn't take it out and read it. “Well, you were supposed to call in, and you were supposed to give us the right PIN number. And you're supposed to do this. You're supposed to do that.” I finally got it all straightened out. So, I'm hoping if I have to do it again, I don't have to go through that again.

The repair shop went ahead and did the work because they believed and they have seen that I had the coverage. They didn't like Omega, but they went ahead and fixed my car without their okay. But they've worked with Omega before and they know us, so whether Omega accepted or not, I'd have to pay for it one way or the other. And I had to have my car, so they just went ahead and fixed it. And being it was over the weekend, come Monday morning, they called and got it okayed, and got paid.

It's a $1,200 radio that runs the car, and it's not covered. I got the gold package and when everything was explained to me, I was under the assumption that all electronics were covered in this warranty. Evidently, it's not. It also took a month and a half to get the car back from having a transmission done. The dealer only had the one transmission guy, and he was backed up.

Items of that nature are not eligible on a Powertrain Enhanced coverage, which is what you have. You are put into the highest level of coverage that you qualify for at the time of purchase, and I am sorry that it wasn't made clear.

I can absolutely understand your frustration after being without your vehicle for a month and a half. It sounds like you had a rough time with the transmission, but as I am sure you can understand, we have no control over the repair facility, their workload, or their employees.

We are very sorry to see that you are so unhappy, but if the AC is working, we won't know which part to replace. Your AC system is comprised on tons of parts, and in order to repair it, we have to know which one is causing the issue. Therefore, if it is working, we cannot determine what part that is.

Omega Auto Care was awesome. The only thing is, I didn't like that they took forever to approve the warranty. The process was not smooth and not as streamlined as I thought. This is my only car to get back and forth to work so it was a huge inconvenience. In the beginning, when my car broke down, I had to call the next day for a roadside service because they said that was the process.

Omega sent a guy out to check the battery but he showed up with a small kit from Harbor Freight. He didn't even have a wrench. He was using the pliers to remove the terminals and I told him that wasn’t the right tool for that. His comment was he doesn’t get paid enough to drive his service truck. He drove his personal truck with his lady in the passenger side and I wasn’t too happy with the service. He jumped in his truck and took off and told me that when I call a tow truck, he might be the one coming out. I was traumatized so I called Omega back and told them not to send that guy if they send a tow truck because of what happened. So, they sent a different guy and he was nice. He took the tow truck to the dealership.

I had another issue and I had to call Omega back and forth to get everybody on the same page because they kept asking for a history for the oil change. I sent it to them and they emailed me back, and nobody knew what was going on. After calling them several times, they told me that the history was not correct because the mileage was backwards. The customer service corrected the mileage in the system because they had the wrong mileage down and I sent it to them again. This whole time, I’m still waiting for them to send the inspector out to look at the damages for the claim.

Time kept going by and I had to keep trying to call them to expedite the process. Finally, when they sent somebody out, they approved it. I thought it was okay to get a rental car then I found out after returning the car that I got the car two days before they approved and I had to pay $60 because it was $30 every day. After they fixed the car, I returned the rental car and everything was good. After they approved everything, it seemed like everything went easy.

If I was going to take the warranties offered by the other companies, they wanted me to pay the full thing upfront. But Omega Auto Care was going to take it out of my checking account every month for 18 months. So, I signed up with them. When I used the warranty, I was getting upset with their reps at first. But after a few different conversations with the claims department, it got worked out and so far I've been happy with the warranty.

At the time I had an issue with my car, I went and I checked that shaft out at a different place first. I got a price on it and it was through a Nissan dealership. They quoted me $600 and that was just for the shaft. Then, my son took the car over to the Walker shop for me and got it diagnosed as to exactly what we thought it was. They gave an amount then they called Omega. The next thing I knew, I was told it was going to cost me 100 and some odd dollars out of my pocket besides the $100 deductible. Then, Omega was able to ship the part overnight to the dealership and that was how the issue got resolved.

But they go and see what they can get the part for and that's what they're paying the dealer, which is not right. They got to understand that the dealers got to make some money on the parts and that's what they got the parts department for. As a regular consumer, if I got to pay out of my pocket for my other vehicle, I know I can get parts cheaper than what they're charging me. But that's where they make their money, on parts and some on labor. At the end of the day, it's just the way the warranties work.

Having Omega has been pretty hard 'cause nobody recognizes this warranty. They have to investigate and really look at it. When I had an oil change, the mechanic said he couldn't get a hold of Omega so he wouldn't go warranty. The oil change would cost me whatever amount it was. I told him that's not right because I got my oil changed before from Honda. He goes, “Which Honda did you get it changed from?” I said, “Burleson.” And he goes, “Well, maybe you need to go back to Burleson.” I said, “Well, I’m not heading that way.” I was coming through town and passing through Duncanville, so I thought why not. And he said, “Well, okay. We don't warranty it.” So I pulled out.

The minute I pulled out, I called Omega. I sat right there ‘cause I knew that I've gotten my oil changed before. I had a little problem in Burleson, but as soon as they checked it, they said it was fine. Everything got straightened out after I called back and waited in line again. I told the mechanic that Omega told me that everything was fine. They called again and then everything was okay.

Customer service was good and everybody was always nice. I've only had to do the maintenance part and they decided on the oil changes. The warranty thing covers everything. My only concern is I'm from a small town and some of the certified mechanics don't do warranties. The customer would have to fax off the invoice then expect to get paid. If I live in the city, it may be much easier. That's the only thing that I would change. Other than that, everything's great.

My air compressor quit blowing air and when I made a claim with Omega, I got the runaround on it the whole time. My car was down for two weeks. I had to wait and if I got a rental car, they had to approve it. I would have been out of my pocket for a rental car and I didn’t like that part about it. When we went to the Chevrolet place on that Thursday, we talked to everybody on the phone and I thought everything was good to go. I was there when the service supervisor at the Chevrolet place was talking with Omega's rep on the phone and he told him what the car needed. And from the way the guy talked, I thought everything was go-ahead to get the car fixed. The Chevrolet manager thought the same thing because when I asked him when I would have my car back, he said that they got all the parts and he could order them up, have them at about 10:00 in the morning, and I should have my car back the next evening, which was a Friday.

But I got a call Friday evening telling me that they had to wait for the adjuster to come out. The adjuster was supposed to have been out Tuesday and it was Wednesday before the adjuster made it. Then, it was that Friday before they ever got the thing approved on it. Once they got it certified, the repair went pretty good. But I was so mad and I even got hot with on the service manager right there at the Chevrolet place. They claimed that if they used their parts, there would be a warranty on it for the whole time that I've got the contract out. But even if I go there and they put brand-new parts in it, and I'm paying the insurance on it, it doesn't matter if it was on the warranty or not. If it goes out, Omega is supposed to fix it again as long as I'm paying my premium.

All in all, I was not too thrilled with Omega's process and there are some things they need to change on it like getting the part approved and people not having to wait for them to get the part. Let the dealership go ahead and get the part. I had to wait three days for Omega to send the parts and I can't figure that out because they were GM parts that they sent and I had to wait for them to send them. At one time, I was talking my mommy into taking an Omega contract out on her car. But right now, I don't know if I would even recommend her to them.

I got it replaced and Omega paid and they didn't have a hard time. The only issue that I had with them was that I had a hard time trying to get them through their number. But eventually, I was able to get through.

Omega had a service where I paid monthly and they helped with oil changes and minor car things. That was the most frustrating thing that I have ever dealt with with Omega. I eventually canceled that because it was just wasting my time. When I had to stop somewhere else to get my oil change and basic service, they said, “Well we've never heard of this. We don't have it in our system.” They tried calling Omega and they always got the answering machine. One time, one of Omega's staff was really rude to me when I was talking to them. All in all, the coverage is invaluable to me because my vehicle is 2010, and except Omega, I don't have any coverage on it anymore.

The repairs that were just done to the vehicle would have been somewhere in the range of $3,000 to $4,000 and I spent less than that with the extended warranty. Also, their follow-up was good. When I called to make the claim, I got a real person who was able to quickly and effectively pull up the policy and address needed. One time, my car had been sitting in my driveway. I had called Omega all morning to pick it up. They wanted me to have cash to get my car. They said that it didn't cover. Then that month, my car was in the shop three times. The first time, it was for the key ignition. I had to pay for that. The second was for some brake pads or something with my cables, and I had to pay for that. This third time, it's with the radiator fan, which surprised me that they paid that, but I had to pay the deductible, which was more than what the shop took.

Every time I try to cancel, they say they don't recommend it. But actually, I pay 150 a month for this insurance. If you add that, times two, that's $300, and sometimes I can easily pay that with the thing that's been going on with my car. I can save myself the money for that. I also don't like going to pick up my car and still having to wait for 30, 40 minutes for them to pick up, answer, and send the check. I want to get my car and leave because I have stuff to do. They need to work on that better.

The shop that I deal with are good people. It's the auto insurance warranty. They've been rude and I've had to be rude back to them. The second time I had to put my car in there, the cables weren't covered. This one guy raised his voice at me. He was frustrated because I was saying what the auto warranty covers are the big things, like the transmission, the engine, which is good. But I don't know if it's $150 worth that’s coming out of my checking account. Omega needs to work on their customer service.

Omega Auto Care sought after me. When they told me what was being offered, I thought it would be beneficial for me. The only thing that I don't like is that it takes so long to reimburse. When I got the battery, it was a weekend. So, Omega Auto Care wasn't open and I just had to purchase the battery myself. And then, I had to send the invoice for reimbursement. I received it, but it took a month. It covered $100. I would have been more satisfied if it was the full cost. Other than that, the reps were very polite and thorough. It's kind service when I have to speak with someone. It's important to have an extended warranty because if something happens, which can happen with any kind of vehicle, then it's covered. And I don't have to come out of my pocket for it.

    Tamika,

The battery is covered under the "Maintenance Benefit" package, which is why it didn't cover the entire cost. The "Maintenance Benefit" package is a Gift from us, to you, our valued customer. So all of the benefits from the program are just added perks. Hope that clarifies things a bit, and you continue to enjoy being art of Omega Auto Care

I wanted to eventually look into an extended warranty, but then it was the right place, right time. Omega called me, then the rep got it all set up that day and went from there. I was a little disappointed with the rotors and brake pads dilemma. I get it. I get it on their side, too. But that is my only complaint. Everything else was great. I had locked my keys in my car one time, and they were super fast. Omega is much needed. It’s there for a reason. These vehicles are expensive and it's hard to keep up on everything. It's crazy with trying to manage everything, so this helps a lot.

I provide the dealership that I go to my card and they just call the Omega claims department, and then they do the follow-up on the oil change. Everything is perfectly fine. I'm getting the last oil change that I have on my contract tomorrow.

I filed a claim for the thermostat and everything was perfect. I went to the service center then they called it in. They were professional. I'm very satisfied with Omega. They're excellent.
