My initial review was based upon the phone rep's inability to update me on status 2 days after submittal of documentation requested. After a couple of phone calls claim was approved. It took 4 days to get the approval.

My service provider submitted a claim for my transfer case that trashed on December 2, 2019. I contacted Advantage Pro/Omega on December 4 (the contact/claim phone number is the same for both companies) to check on activity as no response has been received to date. The response was that it had not even been looked at yet. I need this vehicle to drive to work in upstate NY snow belt. The claim sitting for 2 days without any review is unacceptable.
Gerald,
We are only as good as the information that we receive, and we worked your claim as fast as possible. Your claim was finished in 72 hours, which for a large claim is not unusual. We approved $2,202.63 to replace your transfer case.
We hope this was closed out to your satisfaction.

I'm not satisfied with Omega Auto Care. I had to pay for a 220C battery and when I got home and called them. They told me they were gonna pay 100. I have not received it yet though. I don’t understand why they can’t put it back on my card. Their customer service has a real bad attitude. I have called them three times and talked to three different guys for the same problem. And every time I called, they've talked terribly.
Last week, I called and asked about my refund, but I couldn’t hear the rep well and couldn’t understand. I asked him to talk louder so I could hear him. He said that if I said that to him one more time, he would hang up on me. Why do they talk to me like that when I call to ask when will I receive my refund? I don’t even wanna call them anymore and I'm just gonna drop it. To be treated like this when they are taking $129.99 out of my account on the 1st of every month, I’m about ready to close Omega Auto Care out because I don’t like it.
Brenda,
We take allegations like this very seriously, and because of this, I listened to the calls you made to our office. It pains me to say that one of the gentlemen you spoke to did not display the customer service behavior, or level of care, that our company prides itself in having.
We are truly sorry that this happened, and have taken action to make sure that this does not happen to anyone else. It was completely unacceptable, and in no way an indication of how we do business.
It was a pleasure speaking with you earlier, and I am grateful for you accepting our apology and token of our appreciation.
Sincerely,

My 1300 Ram is covered with Omega Auto Care. When I did an oil change, I sat in there, and the guy picked up the paperwork and said that I got a free oil change. He then contacted Omega. The oil change and a few filter change took about four hours. The experience went pretty good, until the guy called and told me that if I want another oil change or any parts on my brakes fixed, I’d have to pay another $124 a month. $162.29 is what I’m paying a month now. I’m not going to add another 124 to it. I was happy until this guy called. But, overall, my experience with Omega has been good so far.

One of my relatives referred us to Omega, and that was why we used them because we didn't know that much about any other warranty company. When we filed a claim, the only thing I didn't particularly care for is we had to go to certain places. They didn't acknowledge or knew what we needed them to do. When I went to get our oil changed, we had to take it to Firestone and then the person had to call in and get the okay -- I thought we would be able to take it to anywhere to get the oil changed. I would like to see us have a card where you can take it to the place and they would be able to swipe it and we'd get it done. Nevertheless, with the coverage on the AC condenser, everything has been working fine.
Anita,
It sounds like there was a bit of a misunderstanding. You can take the vehicle anywhere you want for both maintenance and repairs, but you were referred to Firestone because we have a fleet account with them, which ensures that you don't have any out of pocket expense for the maintenance. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call.

When I filed a claim, I had to call Omega Auto Care, then I had to scan and email the receipts and the itemized bill to them. They also told me to check and make sure that the issue wasn’t my fault. The mechanic said it was definitely the pothole. I showed him where we traveled from and he said, “Yes,” which was why we did the claim. However, I haven’t heard back from Omega Auto Care. The rep told me he was gonna get back with me by the end of the week, but nothing. They definitely needs more one-on-one contact. The customer service seemed to have been really good though.
Barbara,
I do apologize as we were running a tad bit behind on the reimbursements at the time . You should have received it by now, and I trust all is well. If you have not received it, please reach out to our office.

My Chevy Trax was covered with Omega Auto Care. The first claim wasn’t exactly a dream. They just told me they had never worked with the company before and they had a big hassle going through and getting authorization. But after that, it was no problem. When I had an oil change, it was the people that did the oil change who filed the claim. So far, everything worked out all right for me. I’d recommend them.

Omega Auto Care has been doing well. Whenever I take my car to get it serviced, they do what they say they would do. The mechanic takes care of filing the claim and they call directly to Omega. I talked to their customer service team at the beginning to ask how it works when if I take my car to have it serviced, what I need to do, and they explained in detail what I needed to do. And then, they did a follow-up with me to ask me if everything went smoothly.

I didn't have a problem at all going through Omega. But it was the car place that tried to rip me off. I took my car in for other reason, that it was sluggish. They knew what was wrong with it, but the only thing they put on was the new catalytic converter. They tuned it up. It was $1300 which I didn't have. I had to call my sister-in-law. Then it was still sluggish. And they said, "It needs a new coil ignition." That was why I took in the car, that it was sluggish in the first place.
I was a little pissed when I took the vehicle in, the auto place was supposed to do it in the first place. Then when I went and picked up the car, they said it was done. Then when I took off, the light came on, then it went off, then it blinked at me, then it went off. It stayed off for the whole day. Then it came back on Saturday and it stayed on until Monday. I had to take it back in Monday and they fixed it. And then, they said, "It's gonna cost you a 100 bucks." I came home and I had Bruce from Omega call them. Then the rep from the auto place called me back. She said, "It won't cost you anything. Bring it back in." So, I took it in yesterday at 1 o'clock when I had appointment. Omega Auto Care paid for everything. I didn't have to pay out of my pocket.

The mechanic at the Volkswagen dealership filed a couple of things for the 2014 Volkswagen which I had covered with Omega Auto Care. They had to change some joint bearings, some maintenance stuff, oil change, etc. Originally, when I started with Omega, one of the reasons why they sold me on the extended warranty was that they said all my electronics, my radio and navigation would be covered. For some reason, my audio system, reverse camera, that unit was not working. I took that into Volkswagen for them to look at it. They told me they need to repair it or replace it and it was $2,100 to do the repair. Omega did not cover me on that.
They were telling me I didn’t put that in my contract and I said, “No, that was the selling point of my whole thing.” They said that I did not apply that to my car unit. I talked to people and tried to get a supervisor. I caught a supervisor and they said this and that. I said, ‘Okay, let’s just do it like this. I want to reinsure my car and I want you to cover my deck unit.” When I asked them that, they said they don’t do that.
I said, “Okay, so you’re telling me that even if I did say okay, I'm starting a new coverage with you guys and I want my deck covered, you guys said you couldn’t do it so you couldn’t even do it in the first place.” That was where I realized that they were blowing smoke. They just didn’t want to cover or they thought it was too much. I have owned different cars and I've been covered all the time that I've had cars. My biggest thing is always the electronics because the cars these days no longer have great mechanical stuff. It’s mainly electronics. I knew off the bat when I got this car brad new that I needed to make sure I got all the electronics covered. That’s where the most money is gonna be coming from if anything ever goes wrong.
They said, “Okay, this is covered, this is covered. But your deck unit isn’t considered a main component of the car." I’m said, “Dude, what are you talking about? Cars these days, it’s everything.” The reason I fuss about it so much is because my cars have real low back view so you can’t see through the back really. They even tell you that in the reviews of the car, that is if you get this car, get it with a reversed camera. So I did and it was great. But once the deck unit went, I couldn’t reverse. I had a really hard time trying to get out of the parking spot. I had to be really careful. I knew that going forward. All this crap after was like a shocker to me because I paid my bills in full. I was making monthly payments and I never claimed anything on my cars. This is the only thing I was claiming and they wouldn’t pay for it.
When the dealership sent it in, they told me what they were gonna cover and won’t cover. I then tried to find out from the dealership what kind of pricing it was. They said they sent the whole list of repair stuff to Omega and showed me what they weren’t paying for. Apparently, it was the biggest chunk of the whole job that they weren’t paying for. All the other stuff was less than 100. But the deck was $2,000 something.
The claims process was straightforward and clear. My dealer got Omega for me. To be honest, my original dealership where I bought the car from wouldn’t take Omega because they had some problems with them in the past. I didn’t worry about it because it was just maintenance stuff they were doing and it was no big deal to me. So when this thing came up with the other issues I was having in the car and it was some mechanical stuff and the deck unit, I was like, “Look. I am not gonna go and pay for this.” So I jumped to a different dealer who said they do take Omega. I changed my dealership and they were able to file with Omega and they got their stuff cleared up except for the deck unit.

I purchased an extended warranty with Omega. My air condition failed to get cold. Took it to a shop to get it fixed and was told that the compressor, dryer and condenser had to be replaced. Omega only replaced the compressor. I had to pay out of my pocket 1000 dollars to fix the rest. That's not an extended warranty. The repair shop spent two days arguing with Omega to fix my vehicle and then on the final day Omega decided to only pay half of what they had originally agreed to. This will teach me to read the reviews first before I buy another extended warranty. Omega will scam you! Do not buy their extended warranty.
Benjamin,
I am sorry that you ended up paying so much out of pocket, as that is not the way it should go. I truly wish you would have reached out to us during the claims process so that we could have given you the full story. The reason we didn't replace the dryer and expansion valve was because there was nothing wrong with them. Yes you read that right. There was nothing wrong with them, and it is NOT required that you replace those with the replacement of a compressor. Your shop also SEVERELY overcharged you for the compressor itself, which is why you had additional out of pocket cost as well. They charged you DOUBLE for the compressor kit than what we could have shipped them the part for.
As I am sure you can agree, it may have been the reviews for your repair facility that could have been helpful. If you need additional clarification, or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office.

I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab 4 x 4, and I filed a claim for the transmission. They have to give me a new transmission, and it took a while for the appraiser guy to come in. And then when I called to ask what kind of transmission, they couldn't give me anything. My truck was in the shop for almost a month. It took very long. I had to get me a loaner, and then they had given me another loaner. The dealership tried something with the computer thing, and told me to drive it 200 miles. If there's still something wrong, we’re gonna start the process again, or get another transmission. From day 1, I was never satisfied with it. As of now, I would probably never get an extended warranty again. I paid almost $3,000 for the extended warranty. I could’ve bought two transmissions with that.
I called Omega yesterday and talked to Anthony. He said they were gonna take care of it and that they gotta go to the dealership and see what they say. He also asked me if the “check engine” light came on, and he said the dealership got someone to check what happened and they can start from there. I thought off the bat, that was already wrong. If the customer is not happy with the product they sent, they should’ve worked on it right away. I’m tired of bringing the truck almost every week to these people.
Antonio,
We are sorry to hear you feel so negatively about the policy. There are some inaccuracies here, which leads me to believe that you may have gotten some incorrect information from someone.Your claim was called in on 9/18, and the inspector came out 9/19.We authorized the claim just 4 days later, and it was completed on 10/2. So the total time for your claim was exactly 14 days, and over a week of that time was your dealership putting in the transmission. You paid $2696 for your policy, and we paid $3717.44 for the transmission, so I am sure you would agree it was well worth the money.
If your truck was in there for a month, then your dealership may not have called the claim in right away. However, the final invoice that was sent to us by your dealer shows that your truck was only there for 2 weeks.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to call us.

There was something about the fuel pump in my Lincoln MKT 2014. The claim process was not difficult. It just took some time to send the payment to the mechanic. We were not sure where to sign it and we had to sign twice one of the forms that they sent in the mail. So, that took four days to complete. They should be a little more specific where we have to sign. It was the first time that I did it too so we didn’t have to sign it to send the form. Any other than that, the first day we spoke with the agent, it was pretty easy. The mechanic just gave him the exact codes that they wanted. The same day, I received a call and they told me that it was approved. The AC compressor got fixed.
Mauricio,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our claims process. You shouldn't have had to sign anything expect your final invoice, so there shouldn't have been anything coming in the mail for you to sign. If you have any trouble in the future, please just give us a call while you are still at the repair facility so that we can assist you better.

I have a Dodge Journey and I took it to the dealer for a motor problem. They claimed to fix all the stuff, but the car’s still not running. I was gonna go to a different mechanic shop and pay out of my pocket. Every time I contacted the dealership, they would give me stories on what they did because they think people don’t know anything about motors. When I drive the car, it still goes like crap after they spent all this money, supposedly fixing the engine. I called Omega Auto Care and I explained what was going on. Then, I called the dealership and I talked to one of their managers. He wanted me to come in and drive the car with him but I couldn’t just take days off of work because last time I did that, they kept my car for almost a month. Both times that I have done those two claims, they have kept my car for over three weeks and I don’t know why it took so long.
The second time, I just told the other company that I needed them to check the vibration the car has. It was also showing the battery not charging. So, they went ahead and tried to fix that, but it took them three weeks, just for something that I know it just takes one day to do. I figured I’d go to Dodge because it’s Dodge and it’s a known place so, I was not gonna get scammed. But after they replaced valuable parts inside the motor, my motor should sound better than what it sounds right now. The dealership changed the transmission and the car is driving good but you still feel a little slip on it. I explained to these people the noises and the vibration that I was seeing in the car and they told me it was normal. But it was not because before this problem started happening, I was sitting in my car and I wouldn’t even hear and feel the motor. After all the fixes that they did, it felt like I haven’t even taken the car to the dealer.
My concern is if the dealership really did the work. My car still feels and sounds like crap. I called the warranty people and I wanted them to send somebody out there or send somebody to check everything in that car that was supposedly fixed. Omega told me that they couldn’t do anything about it, but I could take it to a different certified mechanic and get a diagnostic and see what they find, and see if they did what they were paid for, and if they didn’t, then I would have to call them and let them know that those things weren’t fixed. Omega would cover an analysis but I already used it a few times and they’re not gonna be paying every other day.
As a company, I would have sent somebody out to check that car. Maybe the dealership fixed something, but they didn’t fix everything, just enough that it doesn’t sound so much so. I’ve been driving the car since they supposedly fixed it and I could feel the vibration. Motor mounts cause the motor to vibrate and to move around. The noises of the movement has to be something that has to be changed. One of those pulleys, one of those things that move with the belt, something there is not good because it shouldn’t be making that noise. You shouldn’t hear that noise if they changed it and it is new. Omega is good because they did what they promised to do but the timing took too long. Also, I had to pay the rental out of my pocket. It had to be approved and they took four weeks to tell the dealer to fix the vehicle. Those weeks weren’t approved so I couldn’t get rental.

Omega took care of everything with my AC compressor claim. The dealer did an overhaul on the engine while I had it in because it was running a little rough. Omega did me a big favor. They didn’t like the price that the dealer got on the compressor. They said they could order it themselves at a better price, so they did. I have a 2015 Mini Cooper, and the loaner car they gave me was brand new Mini Cooper S model, which is the fast one and fancy. It was fun to have it for a month. I was so tempted to buy it, but we're talking $32,000. Mine was expensive, but that was a little pricier than mine.
I’m very satisfied with Omega. Unfortunately, all the cars have a computerized system now and Omega doesn’t cover the computer. Any time it has to be reprogrammed, they don’t cover that. It wasn’t a lot of money, so I didn’t really care. It was fine, and it needed to be done. It was not a big deal. Most of the warranty companies cover parts and labor. So, the computer doesn’t fall into parts or labor so unfortunately, you get stuck with that. But I can’t blame that on them. It’s a standard thing.
Catherine,
We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with your policy, and that you were able to try out a fun new car while your vehicle was being fixed. If you should decide to trade in your car for the S model, we can cover that too. :-)

The dealership would fix a sensor, I would pick the car up, drive it for a day, the engine light would come back on, and then I would have to take it back to the dealership. We would then have to do another claim with Omega and wait for them to approve it. Then the dealership would fix a sensor. The back and forth went on for two weeks. It was frustrating but in the end, we got it all taken care of and the car is running great now.
I'm paying my money every month to have coverage and I shouldn't have these challenges. Plus, they tried to get me to pay a deductible each time. The second one, they made me pay the deductible, parts and labor which cost me $200 out my pocket and I wasn't happy about that. They covered the other three but I had to fight tooth and nail to tell them not to charge me the deductible, and they didn't. With my experience, hopefully, there won't be another. And if there is, I hope it would be a little better. Right now, I wouldn't refer someone because I don't know how my next visit is gonna be with them because my first one wasn't that great.
Silvia,
I do apologize that you had to come back so many times so close together. Unfortunately we cannot replace a part that hasn't failed, and usually replacing just one or two ignition coils that have failed is enough. I'm sorry that this wasn't the case for you, which is why we waived the $200 in deductibles on the last 2 claims. We appreciate your understanding on this matter, and appreciate your business. Thank you for being part of the Omega Auto Care family!

The repair person filed a claim with Omega Auto Care for my Dodge's transmission, but I had to call Omega after the initial claim. Their customer service could be a little bit better. It was unclear what policy we had and they were very rude when we were trying to explain what was covered. Plus, we shouldn't have to hound them. It was difficult finding someone to speak with. We're dissatisfied with Omega.
Deborah,
You initially called and asked us about your transmission on 8/8, but we didn't hear from our repair facility until 8/20 which was TWELVE days later. That means your vehicle sat at the repair facility for almost 2 weeks before your shop ever called in the diagnosis.Having said that, we never spoke to you in regard to your level of coverage or to go over coverage with you. From what I can tell, our team provided you with the service you required. If you are still in need of clarification of your coverage, you are always welcome to reach out to our team. The great news is that despite all of the delays from your repair facility, we still paid out over $2,800 to repair your transmission.

I’m not that thrilled with Omega. They suck. I took my Dodge Crossroad Journey to the Dodge dealer because of a noise in the steering, and the guy there told me he would have to take it all apart to fix it correctly, but Omega wouldn’t do it all. The noise would be fixed if he was allowed to put in bearings, but they wouldn’t let him do that. He explained to Omega that it would still be making the noise if it doesn’t get fixed right and the customer won’t be happy. The Omega rep then said that it wasn’t broken and they don’t fix noises. But I don’t like a new vehicle making this grinding noise.
I’m not happy that they didn’t let him fix it the way I wanted it fixed. They will lose a customer if they do not fix that the way I want it fixed, which I am going to do the next couple of days, because I drove it yesterday and that noise is getting on my nerves. Omega wanted to renew the part of the policy for oil changes, but I don’t need them for that. I need them for the big stuff. I might not keep them.
Carole,
Although I understand your frustration, the fact is that a noise is not a failure. We cannot replace struts that have not failed the bounce test, and are not leaking. You do have Exclusionary new car coverage, so if/when they fail they will be eligible.

For the most part, I was satisfied with Omega. They took care of my rental car. However, the claims process that I went through was like a nightmare. They made the dealership tear down part of the car, take pictures and send to them before they would fix what was wrong. I went there because I thought it was a computer problem as my car was shutting off. When I would start the car, the skid control would turn off, then I could hardly drive because it was sluggish and jerking the car. The dealership told me it was a dead cell in the battery but Omega doesn't cover the battery. So aside from my deductible, I was charged for a battery. The ball joint, they were okay with, but there was a ticking noise. The guy at the dealership was trying to help me with all of this so I didn’t have to be on the phone, which was a good thing, because it was total chaos for him. They corrected everything and I don’t hear any ticking noise anymore. The car also drives good.
Donna,
I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the claims process. It did in fact take a little longer than it should have, and for that I apologize. Your shop initially called in partial diagnosis because they were unable to show the exact cause of failure at the time. It took them 5 days to call us back with a diagnosis, and we are only as good as the information we get. I know the pictures may seem like overkill, but we have to be bale to see the cause of failure on the vehicle. Hopefully your next claim will be faster, and if you are ever concerned, please don't hesitate to just give us a call and one of our customer service members will be here to walk you through the process.
Safe travels!

But I was trying to fax information for my rental reimbursement and they gave me two different fax numbers that don’t seem to be going through. I tried to get it through but the first two or three times failed. Then I finally got a good result when I faxed it. That was right at the end of July and they said that it’d be 10 working days before I'd get a response, and it’s beyond that.
All in all, I’ve had this contract since this past December and it’s been the only claim, so far. But as far as the work being done in a reasonable amount of time, it worked out great and the service provider really pulled for me. At first, the warranty company did not wanna pay the price for the part because he had an OEM part. It was the only one that was available at the time and he had it over the weekend, so it took five days to get it fixed. He talked to them and told them that "We need to make this customer happy. We’ve already had it over the weekend.” So they finally approved it.
Donald, I am sorry to hear that you had such a hard time with the fax. I have to admit that I am not personally a fan of faxes for that very reason. You had a claim paid out for $1032 on a policy you had made ONE monthly payment on. I would say it worked out pretty good in my opinion. On top of that, your claim was finished 4 days after it was called in, so if the vehicle was at the shop longer, they didn't call your claim in immediately. I was not really happy with the way Omega handled my recent claim. I've got a 2014 Ford Escape covered with them and the transmission went out. I thought everything was gonna go all fine until they kept pushing it off, sending an adjuster out. And then, they said the holiday fell in there, which wasn't my fault either. They waited almost two weeks before they okayed the repair. The company that repaired the transmission did a fine job and told me they could have had it done in three days, but they couldn't do anything until the adjuster came and okayed it. So, waiting on the adjuster to come was the big hold up right there, and then once he came, getting the okay from the company to do it took long. And I don't have but one car. I had to rent a car, and I haven't been even reimbursed yet for the car rental.
I don't expect them to pay the whole two weeks because I know they're gonna wiggle out of that, but they should have reimbursed me for part of it. The papers were filed, so they can't say I didn't have any record of it. When I picked up my car, we filed the papers. We submitted the rental forms through fax. I was told that I had done everything I was supposed to do, and I would be getting a check in a few days, but the check had never come. I'm very disappointed that Omega didn't follow up and reimburse me for at least part of the days. I was in the next town about 15 miles, and luckily, I was in a parking lot when it decided to no-go. And so, I called Omega. They sent a wrecker who picked me up and brought me to the shop over here.
They had already called Omega because I had sent the repair guy a copy of my extended warranty card and he had already talked to Omega. And they got it in there because the check engine light was on and it would start but it wouldn’t go. And the little sensor thing actually is a safeguard because whatever was going on keeps you from going and tearing up your engine. So, it’s like a safeguard. It makes you not go. So, they got it over here and did the diagnostic, talked to Omega and fixed it within hours.
The overall claim process with Omega was good. They handled everything with the auto shop. I never even spoke to Omega, and boom, it was done. We have no issues. They told them, “Fix it. I’ve had to file claims three other times and the process is ridiculously time-consuming. Things became very argumentative on one of the claims and they chose words to deny the claim. Moreover, they hung up on me twice. The individual handling the claim put me on hold and went home for the day. After 15 minutes, I hung up and called back. The individual who answered the phone said the other individual just left and refused to deal with me.
Randall,
I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied, especially since the information you have received seems to be incorrect. Your most recent claim was approved in 13 minutes, the one before that in 28 minutes, and the one before that 12 minutes. I'm not sure why you were made to wait for so long, unless you are counting the actual time the repair as well.
As I am sure you know, every contract has it's limits and exclusions. What you refer to as "argumentative" was simply our adjusters trying to determine if the cause of failure on your vehicle was a covered component. Unfortunately it turned out that it was a bolt that caused your failure, and they are excluded from coverage.
I hope this provides some clarification. Thank you for being part of the Omega Auto Care family.

I paid $2,500 for the warranty, and now they denied the charge when I was in a bind. I got the denial letter and they said I could file a written appeal. I haven't gotten the chance to do that yet.
The towing issue aside, everything went well at the place where I had my car fixed. I brought my paperwork in there, they looked at it, got on the phone quickly and called Omega. Omega answered quickly and the repair place told them what it was gonna cost. When the repair place got the part, they were paid before they even got the work started, which surprised and thrilled them. It was fantastic.

I’ve worked with Omega in the past. For security reasons, I got them for my 2014 Town & Country. I used them when I had one motor that went out on a window. The repair process was good. On the first claim, it was a little lengthy but they had a lot of other vehicles ahead of me. But my other claim didn't take that long to get the job done and get the vehicle back to me.
The claims process is as advertised where they check your vehicle in and the dealer will contact Omega for whatever the wreck. When Omega gives the okay, the vehicle gets repaired. I also used their car rental and got reimbursed, but the rental car process was a turn-off for me. The way it is advertised is you go in, you say you’re with Omega and you’ll get your rental. But it’s not quite like that. You gotta come out of pocket first then get reimbursed for your rental.
Other than that, I had a great experience with Omega. I have had XYZ done and it was covered. I’ve recommended Omega to friends and family. I try to recommend them to anybody who would listen. And my current car, I’m going to call Omega up when I get a few more thousand miles in so that I can continue the process.
James,
I'm sorry to hear that you felt as though the rental process wasn't explained to you better, but the good news is that you have had over $2,900 in claims paid on your contract so far, with almost 2 years and 30,000 miles left on the contract.
Thank you for choosing Omega Auto Care!

The engine oil cooler of my Dodge had a leak so I had to get it fixed. I called Omega to make my claim and it was a pretty easy process. But I didn’t know there were two different types of warranties. One is for the engine and the brakes while the other is for the electric ones. When I was trying to do my brakes, that one expired. But the one for the engine oil didn’t expire. That’s the one I'm currently paying for.
My issue is I didn't know the warranty for the brake expired. I wish they could let me know the nearby time it will expire for future references. When I first got that warranty, they told me that it would expire at 100,000 miles. When I called to make the claim, they told me that it expired that same day. If I had known, I probably should've phoned in early and renewed it. That aside, I was very satisfied with the claim process. It has been a good experience so far.

However, we were paying $225 a month on it and my son said it was too much. And then, I had a claim and was very dissatisfied with my experience. I had a problem with the air condition, and though the claim process wasn't too tough, I ended up paying $500 out-of-pocket. Omega charged me too much for the work that they did on my vehicle. I canceled with them and would tell people I wouldn’t take that insurance. I don’t think customers are getting a good deal on it.
Doris,
We are very sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with our coverage. I took a closer look at your claim, and the additional out of pocket cost was for maintenance items you had done. There was an additional $96 in labor that your repair facility charged you above what was necessary according to the national labor guide. Although we will pay the posted labor rate, we cannot be responsible for overcharged labor. Also, the reason you were paying $225/month is because you were only making payments for 15 months out of 60.
We would be more than happy to go over things with you in greater detail if you would like. Please reach out to our office at your earliest convenience.

Omega was telling me one thing and the dealership was telling me another thing. I was just stuck in the middle and it took too long for me to get my car back. We went back and forth for a week or two, and I had to pay out of pocket a whole lot more than I thought I was supposed to. I thought I was only supposed to pay the deductible but I had to pay almost $600 out of my pocket.
The dealership was saying one thing and the claim people were saying that the dealership was charging too much. Omega said they were not gonna pay for what the dealership was charging and I didn’t understand. They told me to take the vehicle to a licensed place. They wanted to make sure it was done right and by a professional. That was what I did but then later they said that I should’ve read the contract and that they were only gonna go by what the price should be. I don’t know what the price should be but I know that dealerships do charge a little higher. For now, what I’m doing is I take the vehicle somewhere else, to another mechanic. I'm not going back to that dealership because I think they were charging too high. So in the end, Omega did what they were supposed to do.
Omega replaced the alternator. They paid for it and shipped it to the dealership. But I had to pay for a battery because the alternator drew the battery out. I do have the warranty for the battery but Omega said the battery wasn't covered because the alternator made it go out. I also didn’t get a rental vehicle because the first thing Omega said was that they'd pay for the rental depending on what problem they find and it may not cover for rental. If they didn’t cover the rental, then I’d be stuck with that bill too. I didn’t wanna take a chance. The rep came back later and told me they would cover the rental. I told her "No" and that I wanted a brand-new part put in my car. She then told me that Omega won't pay for a new part.
I made three different phone calls back to Omega and my dealer made a couple of calls as well. Thereafter, I said "forget it". When I talked to my dealer thereafter, I told him to make the repairs and that I would pay for them. I called Omega again and the rep said that they offered to send my dealer a new condenser. When I said I didn't want a re-manufactured one, he said that condensers cannot be re-manufactured. I told the rep whom I was speaking to that I was okay with that but then my dealer would not accept the part. I also told the rep that the dealer said that he had to get his part from whoever he gets his parts from and that was the only way the car company would warrant the work. He was asking for 300 or 400 extra dollars to use his part. I explained to the rep that I wanted my vehicle to be under warranty in case even the parts fail. He said that they would warrant the parts and send my dealer a brand new part for a certain amount. He also explained how the dealers make their money by upcharging.

I was somewhat surprised because I took the policy out over the phone. I didn't even know who I was taking it out with when I bought it, but I knew my miles were getting up. It wasn't what I expected, but it was better than I had thought it would be. The deductible was a little bit more than I thought, but it was well worth it.
They could've handled the information about my policy differently. I didn't have the information I needed on hand. They never sent me a book. I had to go back to two years of bank receipts to look up a certain amount of money paid to something. And I was guessing which one that we're withdrawing the money from my bank account. And I only got lucky, and I went to the bank. They pointed it out to me, and they gave me the phone number to make the call and make the claim for the losses. Also, another problem I had is the information about what's covered, what's not covered, and it really scared me. When you're down in Florida, you're 1,400, 1,500 miles away from home. The car broke down and we gotta pull out on our vacation lane and go back home so I could get it inspected and I stayed down there.

I'm satisfied with Omega's overall claims process. When I filed the claim, the reps were pretty courteous over the phone. However, the process is too drawn out. It took a while, about a couple of weeks, because I had to find somebody to do the repair for the transmission of my 2005 Taurus. I finally found somebody then Omega had the wrong VIN number. They got a mix-up somewhere. We got that straightened out and Omega came through. I'd recommend it. It's nice to know an extended warranty for my vehicle is there.

I’m not pleased with this whole company. I don’t like the warranty. Don’t even bother. My experience was horrible. Omega told me that the car is covered from bumper-to-bumper then when my claims went in, this and that were not covered. If they are saying the coverage of the car is bumper-to-bumper then it covers the car bumper-to-bumper. They shouldn't sit there lying and then they would say I gotta pay for this and that part off. It’s not right. Omega was supposed to cover the water pump on my 2012 Nissan Altima. I wasn’t supposed to pay for it myself. But I paid some parts of the water pump. It was just a whole mess. Then when my other mechanic did some work on the car, he said that certain things weren't covered as well. They did something on the car and it wasn’t covered under this warranty so I also had to come out of pocket for that.
John,
We are sorry to hear that you are so unhappy with your coverage considering that we have paid out 4 claims for you in 2019. You have the highest level of coverage available, which is "exclusionary new car coverage, and we have NEVER denied a mechanical breakdown for you. It seems you have gotten come misinformation from your mechanic, but if you reach out to our office via phone, we would be more than happy to go over each claim with you.

I am highly satisfied with my Omega Auto Care experience. I have a 2011 BMW 535i with some gaskets leaking, and when I took the car to the shop, the people there handled the repair claims process. So, it was super easy for me. The lady at the shop was so impressed that this part was covered, that she wanted to recommend this warranty to their customers. She had never seen a warranty that covered the gaskets. My only concern is that Omega's billing is a little complicated. I've had issues whenever I would try to talk to their representative. He really couldn’t answer my questions about charges and he wanted to refer me to a third party. And then my husband would pay and they would call me. It was like the payment didn’t post instantly. A lot of times they would call both of us when the payment was already made. But other than the billing part, everything else was excellent. I would recommend them.
Kristina,
We are incredibly happy to hear that not only were you satisfied with our service, but your repair facility as well. We offer several levels of coverage based on the age and miles on the vehicle. Your 2011 535i qualified for our highest level of coverage when you purchased it, which is why the seals and gaskets are included as a stand alone repair. We appreciate your business, and hope you continue to trust Omega Auto Care with your car.

Then I paid the $100 deposit, which was in every claim, and that was pretty much it. I'm very satisfied with the overall process. Depending on the situation, I would recommend Omega. It depends on the person and the car, but I think it's probably not worth it with vehicles that have lower repair costs.

I have a Hyundai Santa Fe covered with Omega Auto Care. I filed a claim over the phone for the transmission and the experience was really good and very easy. The person that answered the call was very helpful with the questions that I had. At first, I didn't know exactly who was gonna handle the claim if I had to start a claim or the people on the dealer where I took my car. And then, I wasn’t having any response from the dealer at that time because they were waiting for the estimate from Omega. They didn't want to give me any information, so I had to call several times to Omega and find out.
The whole claims process took about two weeks and it was really good. It took less time than I was expecting. However, I had an issue with them. My car stopped working so I had to take the car on the same day into the dealer, then I called Omega to find out what I was gonna do. They told me I could get a rental car, but they gave me a limit of money that I had to spend. They wouldn’t give me an SUV for the money that Omega was giving me, but since I have my kids, I cannot have a 5-person car. It had to be an SUV. I had a lot of trouble with that and it was taking longer with the dealership because they didn't agree with the price.
In the end, the dealership gave me the car, but they didn't give me an SUV either, so it was so hard to be going from one place to the other. Since I had an SUV, I was expecting the same thing, but Omega didn't give me some more money that I can go to a rental car and get another SUV for myself. They also told me that I had to pay first then send them the ticket. Nonetheless, Omega handled the claim really nice. My experience has been okay and I will definitely recommend it to somebody else.

I purchased a Warranty from Omegaautocare.com for my Dodge Charger. Two weeks ago I had to put it in the shop at Freedom Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram by Ed Morse in Duncanville. The warranty I purchased, which I pay monthly, states in the policy the parts I need covered would be covered. They are not honoring the policy. Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep has taken my motor apart and will not put it back together due to Omega Auto Warranty not covering my parts which needs to be replaced. They informed me I would have to have the vehicle towed from their shop with the engine dismantled.
I am currently seeking legal counsel through Legal Shield with my school district. I went back and forth with Omega and their 3rd party for approximately 6 hours on Friday, April 22. The only thing they could tell me was they would not cover the parts because the Service Associate could not tell them what caused my parts to be damaged and they would not cover gaskets and seals. The Service Associate and technician finally informed Omega a failed water pump caused the damage. Omega still refused to honor their policy.
As a school Principal and being in the educational field for 25 years, I have always taught my students to honor their words. Omega has my coverage in policy and yet and still will not honor it. I hope someone in the company will make this right. This experience has my entire lower back hurting because of the stress brought on today. Please contact Larry ** at Freedom Chevrolet in order for him to give the adjuster once again, the cause of the damage @ **.
Mr. Price,
We find it rather unfortunate that you have chosen to go the route of writing bad reviews, when the denial of your claim well within the terms of the contract. As with any policy, yours outlines what components are covered and which ones are not. Your policy also excludes abuse, and driver inflicted damage. Your "Powertrain Enhanced" policy, along with all other policies, excludes "continued operation of an impaired vehicle", as it constitutes abuse. You called us to ask whether the head gasket was covered on 4/8/19, but then continued to operate the vehicle until 4/19/19, when it overheated. Per your own admission, on a recorded line, the vehicle overheated, you put water in it, and then continued to drive it to the repair facility. That is by definition "continued operation of an impaired vehicle". In addition to that, a blown head gasket due to overheating, is not eligible for coverage.
You also stated that " Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep has taken my motor apart and will not put it back together due to Omega Auto Warranty not covering my parts which needs to be replaced. They informed me I would have to have the vehicle towed from their shop with the engine dismantled", but failed to mention that we never requested the teardown, as you had approved that before the service adviser ever called in the claim.
Lastly, you stated that "The only thing they could tell me was they would not cover the parts because the Service Associate could not tell them what caused my parts to be damaged and they would not cover gaskets and seals. The Service Associate and technician finally informed Omega a failed water pump caused the damage. Omega still refused to honor their policy". The water pump IS eligible for coverage, if it has in fact failed, but failure was never shown. However, the damage to the engine was due to continued operation. Per the service adviser, the cylinder heads were warped due to overheating, which only happens if the vehicle is continually driven after overheating.
We are more than happy to pay for claims that fall in line with the contract, but unfortunately we can not be responsible for damage that would have been avoided, had the vehicle not been driven. As I previously stated, we are more than happy to cover your water pump if it has failed, so please have your repair facility reach out to us in regards to it. If you have any additional concerns, or questions, please reach out to our office.

When I purchased a warranty from Omega, the guy I was working with told me that I would only pay $100 and Omega could cover the full amount with whatever is going on with the car. When there was a problem with the spark plug of my car, the dealership that I dealt with said that normally, warranties don't cover spark plug service. Then they gave me three different diagnostics since they didn't know exactly what was wrong with my car. My car is not covered under the GMC because Omega's rep told me that it should be still covered under their warranty, but it’s five years old now. I still haven't got 34,000 miles, and Omega won’t cover it.
Other than the plugs, there was also an issue with the oxygen sensor. It's frustrating since it seems like this car is in the shop every couple of months. It’s one thing after another and I had to pay to get my car. I was not too happy with that because I wasn't expecting to pay for anything but my deductible. I talked to somebody at a department and he said that they would look into it. I didn’t get a callback from Omega to let me know if they were covering anything or not. So, I’m just taking my car. Despite that, I’m happy with Omega. They have quick and friendly service. I also didn’t have any problems with Omega a few months ago covering whatever. I bought the Omega Powertrain Enhanced contract on Sept 17, 2015. Recently I carried my 2005 Ford F350 in for service. Fuel Injection Control Module is bad and needs replaced. Omega says that it is not covered. Contract states fuel sending unit and fuel pressure regulator are covered which is what this unit does. Since it is not listed in covered parts however, they refuse to pay. The only way to be sure about these contracts is to print out a list of every part on your car and see which ones they cover. That is a ludicrous act to make the average person do to adhere to a contract. They cover it with a "you had 30 days to look the contract over."
Perry,
The requested part was a FICM (Fuel injection control module), which is not listed for coverage in the policy. As with any named component coverage, a "Powertrain Enhanced" has a list that outlines all of the items eligible for coverage within the policy. As you know, and as we discussed, the item is not listed, and a fuel pressure regulator is a completely different part.
It is unfortunate that the required part is not covered, but we cannot approve non-covered components, the same way we cannot deny a covered one. Please do note hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions.

I had a repair issue with the control arm and although the repair facility wanted to get everything going, they couldn't start until they got ahold of Omega to approve all of the rates and that took them a while. I would have liked it to be a little more timely. Also, I didn't realize that there was only a certain labor rate that was covered. The repair facility told me that my coverage only pretty much covers what a small mom-and-pop would charge for an hourly rate, not what the dealership would charge.
Maybe it's some of my fault that I didn't read the approved labor rates carefully enough. But it was a little misleading that I couldn't take my Cadillac to a certified dealer and really have all the cost covered. I ended up paying quite a bit more than I was prepared to. So it was definitely negative that the work couldn't be all done at a certified Cadillac repair facility. Nonetheless, the warranty is definitely valuable if something goes wrong. In the event that happens, you know that you're somewhat covered. But there's a cost benefit analysis to how much money I'm paying because the extended warranty will actually use that out.
Brandon,
We appreciate you sharing your experience, as we listen and take in all feedback. Based on your review, it seems you may have been given some misinformation. Your claim was approved in 28 mins, which I am sure you can agree would be considered a timely manner. Also, we do negotiate the labor rate, but the repair facility shouldn't have passed the difference on to you once they agreed.
