The dealership filed a claim with Omega for the sunroof of my Audi A6. There was something on the frame that was cracked that we weren’t aware of until we had our routine maintenance. The claims process was good, and now that the repairs are finished, the car is running fine.

My claim started out real bad. I didn’t understand all the rules, and I told the dealership that I had a warranty. They blew it off and never followed up. Then when they completed the work, they said, “Oh, yeah. You do have a warranty.” They called Omega and said we were approved. They gave an approval number, and then within an hour of the approval number and authorization code, they got a call back and said they made a mistake. It was a big dogfight to get things straightened out, but everything worked out for the best. Now that we got it figured out, I know what the process is next time in the event of a problem.

    Mr. Mease,

I had a look at your claim to see what happened in the mix up, and it turns out the claims department accidentally approved some items that weren't meant to be covered. Although it doesn't happen often, we do occasionally make mistakes. In your case we rectified it by paying for the claim anyway.

Although it worked out in your favor, we do still apologize for the confusion that it caused. We appreciate you still leaving a good review, and for choosing Omega Auto Care.

I have my 2011 Chrysler Town & Country van covered by Omega as this type of vehicle has major things that have a tendency to go wrong, like electronics and transmission. I got Omega primarily for that protection. When the window of the car went out, I gave my car to the dealer and they submitted the claim for me. The window regulator was fixed and I paid my bill and left. Everything went smoothly. But Omega should have covered a bit more. I don't think the amount of coverage that they provided was quite enough.

I've had two claims with Omega Auto Care since I had the vehicle and I didn’t have any problems. Filing a claim for my hub bearings was easy. Dealing with the dealership was difficult though. I was originally at the dealership and they told me they called Omega and that my wheel bearings weren't covered under my warranty. I asked how was it not covered. It's part of the vehicle and they have to replace the whole thing because it’s one whole unit. They had my car for two days and hadn’t done any work.

I took my car to another place and I called Omega myself. They said the wheel bearings were covered, but we would have to confirm that with the dealer for the card numbers. I said that was not what the dealership told me and I was told the dealership never called. The rep was very professional and gave me the information that I needed to file the complaint. I was very pleased with my experience. The repair got done right at a mechanic shop out here in Crowley. They called to confirm and I got my stuff done the next day. Everything was perfect. I'd recommend Omega to anyone.

It was a little long at the beginning, but the end result was fine. I also called up customer service to make sure that something was covered and how I’d go about it. But still, they covered the axles and something else that was on there. Also the dealer who I met with the Hyundai off of Memorial Boulevard in Polk County, Florida, said that she's never had a claim that go through as easy as mine. When I called for the information, the person I spoke to was very helpful, and she answered all of my questions -- that was one of the reasons why I went with Omega. I went to the auto shop for regular maintenance, and there was something that was already happening. The door lock wasn’t working. So I usually take it to Toyota, the dealer, to do all the maintenance. The guy gave me an estimate and everything. He scanned also my extended warranty, the thing that I have, and he said, “Let me look.” Then, he gave them the information, the card, the phone number over the phone. He called and he got the info.

He spoke to them, and he had to be on hold for a little while. It felt like it was a long time because they put him on hold and they said that it was Sunday. That is when I usually take my car, on the weekend. But he got the answer. I didn’t get it fixed on that Sunday because they said that the price wasn’t a match for them, so they had to send a piece. They said, “We can do it but I’ll have to wait for them to send me the piece to replace it,” because they don’t take the whole price. After all that, I had to come back out on a Thursday -- that was when he got the piece and they were able to replace it.

But I was wondering, what if it would have been something else aside from the door lock and that I wasn’t able to drive it, like it really was something that happened? Then, I would have to wait four days for them to decide whether "Yes" or "No", or send the piece. It took longer than I would have imagined. It was with them for two days. They would say that if something or two would go wrong, you go to the place, get certified, and then it gets approved and then just pay the deductible which is $100 and then it will be fixed. But it wasn’t really like that. They had to call and then it had to be approved and then they didn’t approve what piece they were giving and that they had sent the wrong piece. Nevertheless, it was fixed.

I have my 2014 Dodge Charger covered with Omega. My last experience with them wasn’t so great and I was a little bit upset. Somebody else noticed a sound on my car. Right away, I went ahead and turned it in to get it checked out. When I got it checked out, I turned in my extended warranty to see if it was covered. I completely understand that there are processes and procedures that have to happen. But it took almost two weeks to get it all situated. It’s like they ask for one thing, for the dealership to turn in to them, so they receive that information. Then the next day they are needing that, and then they sent in that information. I felt they could’ve just done all this at one time, instead of doing it in a week and a half process.

I felt that could have been done a little faster. It was very inconvenient for me because I was without a car for two weeks. The rental was another headache I had to deal with. I went without a car and Omega wasn’t reimbursing the rental until they approved the whole go-around. It’s 2019 and people sometimes don’t care about people anymore. It was a little difficult for me to get back and forth to two jobs. I felt like it could have been done a little sooner. Other than that, their reps were very nice, polite, helpful and answered all my questions that I needed. I’m very glad Omega was able to cover it and fix my car. I am very grateful, but I was hoping for the process to be a little quicker.

Seriously, this is a legit, awesome company. NO PROBLEMS! Great service! In the past 4 days I had to change my car battery, brakes, windshield wiper blades and I got a oil change. The brakes, blades and oil change was free and I got a $100 of my new battery. For the first year you get these incentives (3 oil changes up to $55 each). I’m very confident that if I ever have a serious problem with my car that Omega will take care of it without hassle. The monthly payments are fair considering what you are getting. Don’t be skeptical in getting their coverage. You don’t need it until you NEED it. Saving up money for a car emergency sounds great, but their coverage is really a million times better and it brings great peace of mind. I almost can’t wait until something breaks on my car because I know they will take care of it and then I’ll have new car parts.

IMPORTANT: I’ve been able to go anywhere I want for work/repairs and they pay. However, the two places I went to get work done told me that they don’t take “insurance stuff”. I explained, “If you call them they will pay you immediately over the phone with a card.” I asked them, “Do you guys accept card over the phone if I were to pay you?’ Of course they said yes. I replied, “Thank you can take Omega.” It wasn’t really a hassle explaining that this was a legit form of payment. They called the number and got paid.

I say this to let you know that for some places you just have to explain to them how easy it is. They’re worried about delayed payments. Also, so that you don’t have to explain, you can go to your car dealership and they take Omega. Omega also has contracts with large companies like Pep Boys who are familiar with the process, so no hassles.

Overall, this really is a great company. I was concerned initially when they first called me to sell coverage but now I am SOOO happy that I have them. I can drive my car worry free knowing that if my transmission fails all I pay is $100 down, and the rest is taken care of. This morning when I got off work, I’m a paramedic, my car didn’t start FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (and it’s a good car). The first thing that went through my head wasn’t worry about how much this was going to cost or, “I was saving for a vacation and now that’s out the window”. I thought, “This is a delay to my morning, but I’m financially set.” I really didn’t care what was wrong with the car. I just knew that it will be fixed and I won’t be broke. To conclude, get coverage for your car. It’s worth it.

There was a short in an accelerator or a pedal sensor of my vehicle, so I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care. However, the repair and claim process was a bit on the slow side. I knew I had the issue covered, so I called the dealership to have it towed because I lost all power, but they didn't wanna tow it there because I didn't have proof of Omega's service contract. I had to wait and have somebody from Omega fax them the fact that I had it covered. Then, they came and got the vehicle. Once they got the vehicle, they wouldn't do anything again because they had to go over what was covered or not covered by Omega's policy. I brought my little book and I told them it was covered. They told me that Omega Auto Care is a bunch of junk and that I should've gone with them. After several hours of arguing back and forth, they contacted Omega and Omega paid all but $100 deductible.

I'm frustrated because I only wanted to take my vehicle to the dealership, but the dealership did not like Omega Auto Care and they wanted me to take out an extended warranty with them. I haven't taken out an extended warranty with them and I didn't make my latest payment with Omega because I'm not really sure which is the best deal. I don't wanna get ripped off. I'm leery that if I go with the dealership, it might cause me an arm and a leg more and if I don't go with the dealership, the dealership seems to be very angry over Omega Auto Care. If I keep Omega Auto Care and go with the dealership, the dealership may mess with my car, then I would keep having to do more and more to it, which I really don't want to do either.

I'm quite leery of the whole entire process and I'm not really sure which one I should pay and which one I would stay with. But right now, the dealership is not too keen on me having Omega. When I got my car, I got the best deal ever, even though it's a 2016 model. It only had 23,000 miles under it and it was like a brand new car even though it was a 2016. I've had it for six months and it's above the 36,000 miles already, so the warranty is no longer there. I should really have an extended warranty, but I don't have an extended warranty because I don't know where to go.

They want me to cover for things that they should be covering. They have been low balling me and the auto shop. At this point I have decided to contact the media and take legal action. Please DO NOT go with this warranty, they will not cover what is in the contract.

Purchasing the extended coverage was the smart thing to do. You get a used car, you get a warranty. I have a Chrysler 200 2015 covered with Omega Auto Care. I took the car to the dealership and they checked it out and they said something was wrong with something. I try to keep the car oiled and everything done on a regular basis, so I was wondering what they mean something was wrong. I was freaking on that and the rep asked didn’t I have a warranty. I said that I do, so he called the people at Omega and Omega really lived up to what they said. I’ve never used them before, but I know that they said that I could get free oil changes.

I just couldn’t understand how that worked inside and I just didn’t really bother with that. It seemed complicated to me, but it works really well for me and it was a wonderful experience. I didn’t really do anything. They told me to sit in the waiting room and a couple of hours later, the car was fixed. I was so overjoyed because nothing had been wrong with the car. I was really glad. I’ve had a lot of people call me trying to get me to switch, but I’m quite content and that’s what I tell them. I have recommended Omega to several people. The lady who was with me, who I met in the waiting room, also had Omega and she was happy and satisfied.

When you are a woman and you are looking for a warranty company, you really have absolutely no idea what makes one company better than the other, so you are going to decide based on what some person is telling you over the phone. The guy who I spoke to made it enough for me to come with Omega. He made me feel like it was gonna be a good decision. In my 60s, I have been through the nightmare of taking the vehicle to places and it was just horror stories. I said that I needed a good warranty company that’s gonna do what they say they’re gonna do, and he did.

I have a 2017 Honda covered with Omega Auto Care. My light came on and it said starter needed to be fixed, so I took the vehicle to the shop. I had the engine start fixed and I had to pay $100 deductible. They looked it over and then it was a part they needed to get, so I had to bring it back another day. They called and got the part. When I took the vehicle up back there, it was only about two or three hours. They called me when the car was ready, so I just picked it back up. There were no issues and they told me I had their coverage from Honda. I told them, "No, I did not." One lady did not understand the coverage, so I just showed her the card I had in my glove compartment. She called the guy and verified it, and they fixed it. Omega took care of me right away.

I was worried if the insurance was straight up and I had seen it was straight up, so I'm very satisfied. I just have to keep the insurance and nothing else will go wrong with the truck. The truck had too many mileage on it, but I don't need to be paying 100,000 in case something goes wrong with it. I'm very satisfied with Omega so far and I would recommend them.

I took the paperwork out and showed him. He said he would take care of it and they did the rest. The amount of coverage Omega provided was as advertised. There was just a copay on my part, which I did in advance, and they covered the balance. The experience was as good as one could expect.

    Gary,

Than you for sharing such a great review. People often feel that their newer vehicles will not have issues, and also underestimate the cost of repairs that are not detrimental to their vehicle. A/C repairs can be costly, so to only pay a small deductible instead of an $800+ repair bill, must have been a lot more manageable. We appreciate your trust in our company, and your business.

I did my research on the coverage and on the price of the coverage, and other companies that called me had about the same amount but less miles. In fact, I will tell others to buy the warranty because it's really worth it at the end.

I had a wheel hub fixed and everything went well. Initially, there was a humming noise going on and the vehicle wasn't driving how it's supposed to. It was like hesitating on the back. It was weird. Then I was hearing some noises in the back as well. I took the vehicle to the auto repair place to get it checked out and they told me the issue was with the bearings. They got it fixed and everything was back to normal. The experience was very easy. It was just about a day too. I left the vehicle there overnight. The service guy was telling me that he had to send an email to Omega, which took a few hours, but it didn't bother me. It was pretty quick. I'm glad it turned out well and I'm glad I had the warranty on the vehicle. Omega did an excellent job.

    Marco,

We appreciate your insight, since people often think that the coverage is expensive, not realizing just how fairly priced and beneficial it is. Even though you paid $2,800, you have a limit of liability equal to the actual cash value of your vehicle on the date of purchase. That means that even towards the end of your contract, we will still value your vehicle at the same amount that it was the day you purchased your policy. That is just one of the great perks of our policies.

I had a claim for the fuel pump of my 2006 Dodge Ram and overall, Omega did good. The only issue that I had was that it took them so long to repair the truck. For a little, simple fuel pump problem, it took them two weeks to fix it. I don't know if it was because of the insurance or the dealership was backed up. But they made me wait an extra day or two because they were trying to get the part. Initially, the insurance said that they could get the fuel pump cheaper and that they were gonna order it. But then they called the dealership back and told them that it was gonna take five more days to get the fuel pump. The dealership said that they couldn’t wait five days and I wasn’t gonna wait five days either. So the insurance company told them to go ahead and get one for 400 bucks.

My only suggestion for Omega would be that if they are gonna do that, they oughta make sure that they have a company that they can call right up and get the part from, and that they can have it delivered in that manner. If the parts were on hand, the truck would have been fixed three days sooner. Otherwise, I was happy with the experience and I would use Omega again if I got another vehicle and I needed it to extend the factory warranty.

I understand that paying out of pocket can be frustrating, and I am sorry that you had to. Unfortunately I know your frustration all to well, as a fellow luxury vehicle driver. Luxury dealerships tend to not go by standard industry guides, but rather choose their own inflated labor guides and part prices. Often times the dealership will amend their prices, but some places do not, which is what happened in your case.

I'd recommend Omega. It is valuable and it saved me a lot of money on that dilemma to repair. I got an AC blower motor repaired on my Mazda3. I was at a shop, and they called in for me, and filed the claim. The claims process took about half an hour and it went well. I am very satisfied. My experience was good overall. Omega was fast and it really helped.

I have over 5,000 components covered with Omega for my car. The one and only claim I filed with them was when my airbag light kept coming on randomly. The claim process was fairly easy and I had no problems at all. It was a $100 deductible and there were no surprises. I was extremely satisfied and very grateful. The interactions with their customer service reps have been really well. I had to call once because we were running into some financial trouble that we couldn't afford the payment, and they worked with my plan. They got my payment lowered and they made it a little easier for us to deal with. They're very considerate and customer oriented. I would recommend them. I told my mom about Omega and talked about their deductible, the reasonable rates and everything that's covered. She signed up with them not too long after I did.

I hear so many mixed reviews, and so I said okay, let me just try this one. When I spoke to them, they explained things to me, what they cover, and they seemed professional. Everyone in that company was really helpful and they'd answer questions. If you leave a message they'd call you back. I was very pleased with the company.

I had an issue with my air conditioning and they said that I could take it either to the dealer or to a shop. I chose the dealer 'cause it just happened to be closer to me. I sent my car there and Omega called them. Omega got the approvals and covered everything, it went smoothly and so I was happy with it. I would definitely recommend them. They're on the up and up, and you get great service. I'd still be with them if I didn't get in a car accident and got totaled. Otherwise, they were very good.

I've had Omega Auto Care cover my 2013 Ford F-150 EcoBoost 4-wheel drive and I've only used it once. It was a minor issue. My truck had 107,000 miles on it and had never been touched. It's normally a common practice to change out the thermostat especially since nothing had ever been done in that kind of mileage. But when my water pump went out, the dealership said that we needed to change out the thermostat and Omega would wouldn't cover that so I had to pay the deductible plus the thermostat on that claim. With that kind of mileage, thermostats wouldn't have been covered.

During the claims process, the biggest thing for me was finding the proper paperwork to show to the dealer for them to be able to submit a claim to be processed. That happened back in July and courtesy-wise, the dealership gave me another vehicle to drive while that truck was tied up in there. I ended up buying the 2013 Dodge that they loaned me. It had diesel and it has less miles than my Ford. I'm not travelling so much now. I'm more here and there and around the home and moving stuff. I needed a little heavier duty truck so I got the one-ton Dodge. So long as Omega Auto Care covers the things for whatever happens, I'm happy with them.

Omega called me before and told me the details of the warranty. It sounded good when I listened to the presentation so I had my 2014 Dodge Durango covered by them. Something went wrong with my truck and I had to take it to the Dodge dealer to let them run a diagnostic. They told me what the problem was and there were some parts that took a couple of weeks to get in. The Dodge dealership called Omega and filed the claim. Omega paid $500 and something but they left me stuck with $280 something. I thought I should’ve just paid the $100 deductible. The problem was something dealing with the electrical issue and Omega said that the item was not covered. But before I got that warranty, I asked them, “Do this warranty cover electrical issue?” They said that it's covered in the book.

They did not cover the full amount so I canceled Omega. I also called my credit card and told them not to honor their payment anymore. Some people from Omega called me and I told them the reason, and they kept telling me, “Yes, but your payment is due, and you can catch up, and do this, and do that.” When I tried to call the company now, it took me nearly four hours to get in touch with somebody. I was trying to call them to answer and the Dodge dealer was also trying to call them but they have not been able to get in touch with them just yet. I’m very dissatisfied with them and I’m not gonna recommend it to anybody else.

I had purchased an extended warranty directly through Honda and I thought I was going ahead and signing up for further extension of the extended warranty that I already had on my Honda CR-V 2006. So when Omega called, I was confused. In fact, I probably would not have signed up for their warranty. I would have continued with my Honda extended warranties. However, when I was required to use the Omega warranty, it did come in handy. It significantly reduced the repairs to my car so I was very happy that I, at least, had something.

The issue was something that I thought was very routine but then all of a sudden, it was a major issue. I also had had some repairs done prior to that but I forgot all about that coverage and I ended up paying them out of pocket. This time, I asked S&S Tires if the warranty would cover the repair and the man said he wished I would have carried that thing in my glove compartment. And it’s always worth checking, even for any kind of request, to see if anything that would be covered was claimed. I handed my policy to the general manager of S&S Tires and he said he would contact Omega. I left the onus to him and he knew exactly what to do.

When S&S called to say my repairs were done, I asked if they had any luck and I was told that, yes, a certain amount was covered. The general manager also didn’t indicate any issue with determining what would be covered and what wasn’t. Overall, I had been pleased. I now carry the policy in my glove compartment and I plan on using it instead of forgetting about it.

My 2006 Ford Explorer is covered by Omega but I feel like the $3,039.95 was virtually for nothing. There is some stuff that Omega doesn't cover. So you gotta read your thing. I got a screwing one time because they said they don't cover valve gasket. I thought the representative was full of crap. They had to take the transmission out and put a front and a rear seal in it, and I don't see why they wouldn't cover it. I didn't appreciate that. They said they only cover that if something is wrong with the transmission. But all the fluid had leaked out and it wouldn't go. That was what they discovered when it was towed. I paid $4,000 for the warranty and ended up with nothing. Then they charged me $850 so I got screwed on that there. Now, I'm broke as a joke.

On the second time I used the warranty though, they actually covered everything. The belt on the air conditioner broke. It wrapped around and broke off the climate control sensor. Well, they didn't cover that and I had to pay for that. But they did cover the air conditioner, the labor, the belt and putting the gas back in it. So I didn't get screwed too bad there. But now, the vehicle has wiring harness issues and Omega is saying that they don't cover wiring. The mechanic said all the insulation is cracked around the wiring harness and it causes the vehicle to jump going on the road sometimes. It's like it's shutting off. Basically, it's a piece of junk.

On the other hand, as long as you give Omega the contract number, they know everything and they take care of it right away. I noticed that in some places you go to, they don't wanna touch that because they're afraid they're not gonna get paid. But that's just so they don't have to be an ASE shop. When I had the air conditioner and the climate control sensor fixed, the mechanic had dealt with those companies before and he said that was not a problem.

Rich told me I would have 30 days to look over and decide, maybe take it to (and he named a specific dealership - not the one I bought my vehicle from) the dealership and have them look it over and if I wasn't happy I could cancel and get my down payment back. He told me that everything would be covered except belts, hoses, tires, batteries, wiper blades and brake pads. He told me what won't covered because it is a shorter list. So he crunched a few numbers and gave me a price that would cover my car for the next 4 years but I had 2 options 12/mo or 15/mo payments.

Well I am still making car note payments and don't have money laying around to make another car note payment per month. So he gave me another option that was lower down payment and 18/mo payments. Okay so we're getting warmer so I ask the name of the company, because it wasn't stated at the beginning of our conversation. At this point, since I happened to be off from work today, I put the name of the company into my trusty google and the first thing I see is 3 topics about Omega being a scam, even though they have a high BBB rating. So I asked if he could lower the payments any more by stretching them out longer.

He wasn't able to but he could get a finance manager and see what she could do. Ms. ** came on the phone and said, "Okay so you need lower payments. Is that it?" I said, "Yeah I also would like to compare companies and do research." She said since my warranty has expired, no it hasn't, that no company will give me a quote and send me paperwork. I said, "I wasn't needing paperwork just the ability to do my research because when I pull your company up online the first thing I see is you're a scam." She then proceeds to say, and I quote "Well what are you still doing on the phone then" and hangs up on me. I was wanting to give her a chance to defend her company but SHE hung up on ME...usually the other way around!

I have my Chevy Cruze covered by Omega Auto Care. I wanted to get my brakes checked out, and I wanted to see if I needed to put any cooling fluid in it because I’ve had the car for about a year and a half, and I hadn’t got the brakes checked. The car had 69,000 miles on it now, and when I got the car, it had 44,000 miles on it. That’s a big difference so I thought it would be about time to go get it checked out. Also, my check engine light was on. I called Omega asking what was I supposed to do with my check engine light and they told me to take it to a dealership, so I did.

The dealership told me that it was the purge valve. When I got the car back, the radio wasn’t working. I asked Omega if the dealership would be able to fix the radio and they said yes. My radio is a huge part of my car. It controls my music. It also tells me everything. So if I don’t have that, I’m not even able to tell what temperature my car is on. It’s connected to my back camera as well. Omega decided to help me pay for the repair. I love Omega. They’re always helpful and nice when I call. They don’t mind waiting if they need to get some information. I’ve only gotten good customer service from Omega. I would recommend them.

The Omega rep who called me to set up the warranty was very nice and he explained everything to me. He took his time with me and made sure I understood everything before I committed. I have had my 2013 Chevy Equinox covered with them. Whenever I file a claim, I go to the dealership and say something is wrong with my vehicle, and they call Omega to see what I'm covered under. Then the dealership submits my claim to Omega. Recently, I filed a claim because my car's joint was making a clicking noise, and Omega had it fixed. Everything I've needed has been taken care of and has been done. The most I paid out of my pocket for a claim was $100 and I've had no complaint. The Omega reps have good customer service skills and they make sure that the customer understands exactly what they're getting for their money. I would tell my friends to sign up for their warranty.

Updated on 12/28/2018: Dominique, I respect that you have full love towards the company you work for but you need to respect that customers have their rights to share their unpleasant opinions towards the product you sold. If it is a good warranty and cover what customers were told by salesperson and have no expectation difference, no one will complain. The fact that your salesperson is deceptive and your argument the 30 days refund policy is enough to wipe out the deceptive sales behavior is amusing. You can continue to claim the company is great, but for those who had been in the trap, they will continue to share the traps.

I have purchased this plan in 2016 Oct and requested a cancellation sometime in July - Aug 2018. The reason why I had to cancel is because the car engine had an issue and they said that they will not cover it until I paid for the mechanics to open it up for them to inspect. I will be responsible for the cost to open up the engine for them to inspect and to put that back together. And it is not guaranteed that they will cover the cost of repair depending on what originally fails in the engine even though it was a so called Enhanced Powertrain Coverage. They said that if the original cause was something that they do not cover and caused parts that they covered to fail, they will not cover it. I decided it was too much trouble to deal with it and decided to cancel the plan.

In the period of being "insured", I have only used 4000 miles out of the 100,000 miles of coverages and 1 year and 9 months out of the 5 year coverage. Totally I submitted claims for about 1200 dollars and paid the insurance in full. This is their exact wording of the refund policy. "The refund will be equal to the lesser amount produced using either the number of days the AGREEMENT was in force or the number of miles the VEHICLE was driven prior to cancellation, less a cancellation fee of seventy-five dollars ($75) and deducting all incurred Claims".

Here is my complaint. 1. At the point of purchase, when we ask the plan seller if there will be any fees to cancellation, the seller said that it will only charge you for the administrative fee (75 dollars) and the period or mileage you have used the plan for. However what he hid to explain is that in the contract, there is also a sentence that total cost of the all the claims you have filed will be subtracted from your refund as well. That is a misleading advertisement at the time of purchase. 2. When I got the policy booklet, the first thing I looked at is the cancellation policy. The wording of the policy misdirected me into believing that they will use the less amount of day or miles to calculate my refund total.

As I know that I don't use the car much so I was expecting a high refund, therefore I kept the plan when I looked at the contract. But it turned out opposite due to the word "produced" (yes if you have read it wrong like I did, go back and read the sentence again). 3. The insurance said they cover all those parts, but they don't. When it comes to repair, like alternators, engines, they will only cover some but not all parts. You will end up paying for the parts they do not cover. Unless you are a car expert and know exactly what you need to repair, there is no way for non-mechanics like us to see the trap in the contract.

    3. The fact that I have purchased an INSURANCE and I have to PAY you for the PERIOD I am insured AND the CLAIMS that the company should be responsible for at the time of insured is outrageously unethical and puts it into a scam categories at least for me. If you are willing to pay the price of an insurance and at the same time of the claims, feel free to purchase this plan!

    4. The lady for Omega BBB has argued vigorously with me that Omega Auto Care had done nothing wrong. She said it is the customer's responsibility to read the contract and she kept trying to confirm if I said "I read the contract wrong" (maybe there is recording I don't know). I said, "Yes I do understand what you mean in the contract but I did initially misunderstand the vague wording you put. But you have a salesperson that did not explain the cancellation policy in full term and you are selling an "insurance policy" that is not covering the claims during the insured period." She then said "this is not an insurance policy" and it is common in the industries. What she couldn't understand is that I do not expect the refund to go through because obviously the salesperson's conversation was not recorded back then and I have no proof for false advertisement.

And they didn't even categorize themselves as an insurance plan seller which invalidates my second complaint about insurance policy that is not covering the claims during the insured period. And lastly the wording was vague but they can justify what they doing with the vague meaning of the word produce (which the lady insist it was by definition not vague). The lady seems to be very angry as she sees nothing was wrong with Omega Auto Care. I had to agree the word "produce" bought them that privilege. But I am not writing to expect a refund. Even though I did select a refund as a resolution, we all know that this is not going to happen. I am writing to let other people know about this trap in the policy so that no other people will stumble onto this once they read my review and will try my best to keep this issue as unresolved so people can read it. This is what I hope my thousand dollars paid to them would do for the society. :)

Original Review: When I first received my card, it had the wrong VIN, wrong name of insurer, wrong information all over. But at least I got the first package. Then I tried to update the information, and they said they were going to send me a new one, so I tossed the old book and only kept the card in case I need it. Two years later, I still didn't get my book, but that was fine as I am still able to use the card, until when I tried to cancel my plan a while back. I was told that I have to submit the form for the unused refund. I informed them that I don't have the book they sent me anymore because it was never sent to me. They said they were going to send me a new copy, never arrived. Now the 30 days limit has reached. IS THAT HOW YOU AVOID PAYING BACK THE REFUND OMEGA CARE? My contract number is **, feel free to check.

In today’s day and age, having a warranty is helpful. My Chevy Silverado is covered by Omega and I have a good experience with them. I had a claim for an AC that stopped working. I reached out to an individual at the company and they mentioned that I take my car to a certified shop then the shop will contact them. Once the claim is approved, the shop can work on it and it goes from there.

The claims process is great and relatively convenient because I don’t have to get involved in the back and forth and it’s between the shop and the insurance company. When the car went in to the shop, the individual also mentioned there was an issue with the battery. So maybe there’s potential to explore what's covered under policy and what’s not. That requires a lot of due diligence but maybe that’s something to consider in terms of how to improve. Omega's warranty is a good way to be covered once the factory warranty has expired. Also, they’ll cover a good hefty portion of the expenses if something goes wrong with the vehicle assuming that it’s covered within the policy.

Months ago, I made a claim with Omega for the alternator of my Murano. My wife and I went to the beach and when we started to come back, we went around the back road to come out to the main road. We started getting out the main road when the car just started to stop. I started the car up again and then run it. I got to a stop sign and my wife said that we gotta pull over. But I said, “No. I think maybe it’ll run now.” So I turned the car out into the lane and there was some traffic. I then pulled out and went 10 yards and the car just stops again. So I pulled over to the far right and I was in good shape but it was dumb for me to do that. I called and a woman came by and she said, “I’m going over here to the police.” Then, the cops came over. I had the car towed into a shop ‘cause I had no idea what was wrong. The Omega claims process was great. I was surprised that everybody was working to help us, even the cops and that’s what I like.

When it all happened I told my wife that I thought we were just gonna be ripped off somehow and somebody wasn’t gonna do something, but I was 100% wrong. And that’s why when I decided to do the other car with Omega, it was easy to do. Other people were calling me about the other car and I kept telling them not yet. The other car didn’t have the mileage yet and the full handed warranty was still in it. But it seems that the warranty went out. I called Omega and told them that I have a warranty with them in one car and my other car’s out of that warranty period. I asked them if they would take the other car in, and then they told me to give them the information. I gave the information to the guy I talked with and the mileage on that car is only 20,000 miles. Then they said, “Okay, fine. We got it.” And so, we sent them a check and everything’s fine.

I have a Dodge Dart covered by Omega and I have had two claims with them. The first problem was where they told the dealership something was not covered on my contract. When I went to the contract, I found out that it was covered but I had to be the one to do it. I had to go through my contract and I had to wait on hold and speak with someone instead of them working properly and politely with the dealership to get it done. Once I did that though, it was an amazing service I could pay for, but it was a lot of headache up front. Now, I filed a claim for a repair of the fuel system. There was something going on between either the gas cap or the emission sensor.

I brought the car into the dealership first to have them take a look at it because I wanted to discount that it was not the gas cap and then review what was covered. It seemed like it would be as long as it wasn’t either the gas cap or something with simple maintenance and if it was the actual controller, it should have been covered by my understanding of the contract. When the dealership called, they were told that it was not. I was also told it was not when I called as well. And based on the price for repair and what my deductible would be, I did not put up a stink. The price difference wasn’t worth the headache and my time.

It was a little frustrating also because it took over a day for them to get back to the dealership to say it was not covered. I would have had my vehicle a day sooner if they had simply responded to the dealership. I was out of my vehicle from Monday morning until Friday afternoon and they did not provide me any loaner vehicle. If someone is willing to argue their contract every time, Omega is worth the rate and service once they go through with it. And once they agreed to something, they are prompt with the payment and paperwork. It is getting up to the approval that is a nightmare.

It was inconvenient that I had to wait to make sure that it's something that will be in there a couple of days before they go forward with everything.

It takes three days for me to get an answer back as to how long I'm gonna be without a car or when I'm gonna get my car back. And then after all of that, I pick it up and pay my deductible. Other than that, everything went well. Omega answers the phone right away and I talked to somebody, not a machine. My experience was very good and I would recommend them.

    Maricela,

I am sorry to hear that you had such trouble, but after looking into your claim, I don't know what the hold up was. We approved your claim and sent the authorization form to your repair facility within 9 minutes of receiving the call. Unfortunately we do not have any control of the repair facility's level of proficiency, which sound like was the issue in your case.

In the future, you can always reach out to us to get a status update on your claim to make sure that we do everything we can for you. Thank you for choosing Omega Auto Care!

I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu. There was a problem with the drive belt so I took it to the dealership. They asked me if I have the extended warranty and I showed them my proof. They checked the car to see what was wrong with it. Omega had a rental vehicle available for me because I’ve had so many different issues with the vehicle. I paid the deductible when I picked the car up. I’m satisfied with their process, but if I had an issue with a recall, then that’s their issue. I shouldn't have to pay a deductible for something like that. But I like working with Omega. I’d tell others that I like the services that have been offered. I also like the deal that I’ve had initially that was worked out with me with getting a payment together. I’d also tell others that they can get some free oil changes, which is something they need to have if they don’t have that much warranty on their car. An extended warranty is definitely something that they need to have.

    Latonjanette,

I am sorry to hear that you have so many issues with such a new vehicle, but this also makes you a great example of why everyone needs this type of coverage regardless of the age of the vehicle. Even a well maintained vehicle will break. We appreciate your confidence in us and your recommendation to others.

Rest assured that with Omega Auto Care on your side the hassle of car repairs will at least be much easier and much less expensive!

I got a repair a month ago on my 2012 Cadillac. It started running hot and we took it to the Cadillac Place who let Omega know what needed to be done. I was supposed to only pay the $100 deductible but Omega wanted to put old parts on it that they got from Craigslist, not the Cadillac Place because the Cadillac Place only uses new parts. And Omega didn't wanna put new parts unless I pay for them, so I ended up having to pay $700, half the price of that repair.

They wrote down everything they had said about what it was gonna charge me and my only part was supposed to be $100. They didn’t say at the time I made the contract that I was gonna have to use old parts. It would have been better that I would have got them to pay the $100 and get my new parts without having to come out of pocket. Also, I wrote down everything and I couldn’t even get an oil change because they said I had to pay for an oil change. But when I wrote it down, they told me that they would pay for the oil change, at least one oil change. If anyone asks about Omega, I would say to try another one first. It wasn't a very good experience.

They responded right away and the Omega rep was a nice lady. It's good to know that there are good workers in their company. Omega did well during the claim process. Windshield wipers were put on the car and the oil was changed. My car is running well. I always tell my friends that it’s good to have an extended warranty. My friend had a problem with an axle at the bottom and she was asked a lot of money. I told her if she had insurance like me, she would be more comfortable because I didn’t have to pay a lot. I only paid the $100 deductible. Also, if anything happens to your car, you’re covered with that. You’re paying a little bit more on your car insurance but it’s gonna be helping you for the motor and the transmission, too, because an extended warranty is good.

Christian Brothers took photos of the car and turned something else in, which Omega also covered. That wasn’t even on my list of things to get done. I wasn’t even really involved and they said that Omega was great to work with. It was all handled there on their end. However, my AC wasn’t fully fixed so I took it back to Christian and they said that they didn’t have the diagnosing that would make the warranty people actually pay for it. I’d have to go to a KIA place. Still, Omega helped with something else and it was an overall good experience.

I have coverage with Omega Auto Care for my 2011 Cadillac CTS. I filed a claim with them for the parking brake and the electronic parking brake module. I brought a copy of my warranty card to the Cadillac dealership and they took care of everything for me. The guy at the dealership was very surprised that Omega covered the electrical issue and the harness as well because usually warranty companies don’t cover electrical issues. The whole bill would have been $1,200 and that saved me a lot of money.

The process with Omega was excellent from the claims perspective. But from the service perspective with the dealership, they didn’t realize that because they were replacing the module, they had to get another programming module as well, and that took another couple of days. But once they ordered the other part, Omega again covered it without any hesitation or question. I have already told my friends about Omega and they were also surprised that my warranty covered everything.
