I write this review after countless calls from "Omega Auto Care." I get the same exact format. So, I got wise. I called these places back using a different number. They act like their computer locked up. So I give them a made up name, year, make and model. Yet somehow they magically know that they've sent me 3 notices in the mail and this is the "final notice." They also seem to not mind trying to take money for a warranty on a car they have no clue exists... Because it's made up. Honestly how do they even know without a VIN? Does this make any sense to anyone?

Then I get another call from... You guessed it... Omega. And the same exact wording as always. So, I ask the gentleman if it makes sense to him. His answer? All those other calls I got were not Omega. So somehow today he's the REAL Omega Auto Care. Wow. I cannot get them to stop calling. I get taken off their "list" or they block my number after I question them, but somehow another call center with the SAME EXACT verbiage calls again!!!

My Dodge Journey Crew is covered by Omega Auto Care. When my alternator started going out as I was driving and my car started overheating, I took it to a gas station to find out what was going on. The people in the gas station said that it was the alternator and I should be able to make it to the car dealer so that I can drop the alternator off. But, I did not do so, so I had the vehicle towed. It was kind of scary, but I got it to the dealership. I have a warranty so they said that the parts and the warranty were covered, however, I had to pay for the battery. Still, Omega’s claim process was easy and they had prompt service. Overall, I had a good experience with them.

I was looking online for coverage for the 2005 Chrysler 300C that I bought. Omega Auto Care popped up, and I tried to see what their price was and then I spoke with their reps and signed up. I’m with ASI, which is a sub of Omega, and I had two different numbers to deal with when I called for my claim. And so, there was a little confusion. And then, when my engine went out on my car, I waited over a month before they fixed it. I had to call my attorney to make a phone call for me. And as soon as he called them and said he’s an attorney, whoever was in there said they'd schedule it right then.

I drove to Milwaukee and the car broke down once I got there so I took it to Chrysler. And then, I was back in Michigan and dealing with something long distance, I knew it may take a little more time. And it seemed like I only talked to the customer service representative who answers the phone and not the technical person. The rep would have to point to the adjuster. And I hate having the middleman because whatever I'm telling rep, the rep won't tell the adjuster and some of it gets lost in the translation. And I don't like that I got to wait for the adjuster to check out the vehicle and make the determination of the issue with it.

The car being in Milwaukee, they bought a used motor. My car had a few-thousand-mile motor first and then something happened and they gave it to somebody else. Then they got a 90,000-mile motor but then, they shipped the transmission to the other shop. And it wasn't the transmission but it was supposed to be the motor. Then the 90,000-mile motor came in and Chrysler put it in there. They're Chrysler, and it's a Chrysler car, they surely knew what they were doing.

So I drove home, and for six hours, everything seems right. Then the water pump went out. I called them to put a claim up for the water pump. And I said, "What? Perhaps you should've checked the water pump off the first motor before you put it on there." I shouldn't have to tell them that but I just replaced the water pump on the original motor. So that water pump was fresh. But with the waiting game that these guys were so busy playing with me, I wasn’t thinking about the water pump. And I do now because my car stopped as I just got it back. So, they did the water pump claim and now that I'm home in Michigan, it's good. I took it to my shop with my guy because I know my guys as I worked with them for years.

Calling in the claim, it turns out, I cannot make the call and the shop has to do it. It’s my car, it broke down and I'm calling the claim in immediately. And then, they could just talk to the shop and validate the claim. It was either a Saturday when my car broke down and I was out somewhere and I couldn't get to the shop. I could call the claim in and start the process, so it would be expedited. And Omega could call the shop or wait for the shop to call and then they would want a first name and then, it'd be like an easy handle. But it seems like I can't do anything once I took the car to a shop. The shop had to call the warranty company’s number and the shops are busy. The company then wouldn't get the claim started. And so we just worked on it when the process finally started.

The engine went out again. And I thought, why would Omega put a 90,000-mile used motor in my 2005? I had one-tenth of it in the well. They could’ve just rebooted the motor one time and be done but now, they doubled up. The cost could've been what we were billed for what would've been done. They had two motors in it. And so, recently, I talked to a lady at Omega. I sold the car and I was trying to transfer the warranty over to the next person.

I've had Omega Auto Care cover my Nissan for about three years. I filed a claim for the air sensor. The air wasn't working and I went to the dealer. The dealer checked it out, told me what was wrong and called Omega. Omega said they'd fix the claim. The process was good and I'm satisfied. However, trying to contact them took a long time. The dealer was trying for almost 20 minutes. Once I got a hold of them, I was there for about four and a half hours. All in all, it was a good experience.

    Hi Wallace,

Thank you for leaving such a nice review even through you had trouble getting through to us. Although we are fully staffed at all times, and many different departments here to help you, sometimes we may be a little busier than others. I do not foresee this happening to you again, as we do not normally have such long hold times. I sure don't wish anything else will happen to your vehicle, but we hope we get another chance to show you how quickly we normally handle our claims.

I'm glad that I got in touch with Omega and that I signed up with them. Everybody who I've talked to was very nice. About six months ago, I sent my Cadillac in for its front wheel hub and I let the mechanics do it all. Omega paid part of the bill and I still had a bit to pay. However, their fee per month is more expensive than I'd like it to be. And for what I pay, the amount that Omega covered for me was not a fair amount. I'll stick with them for a while, but I don't know how much longer I can afford them.

I got a 330ci BMW covered with Omega Auto Care. I paid for the coverage every month. If something goes wrong, I carry it to BMW and they call up Omega then Omega pays for the claim. I pay a deductible and I get my car fixed. They're doing their job and I'm doing mine. I call Omega on the phone whenever I start a claim process and my most recent claim was for a leak with my tank. Omega could change the payout wait for fixing the car per hour because I'm still paying what's left over from what they didn’t cover, which in my opinion I'm paying for service and there should be no add-on at all. It should just be on them. I bought the product but in the long run I'm still paying for it at the end of the day. If my friends were thinking about going with them I would say that they're convenient but to look around.

The month to month policy that I obtained with Omega Auto Care back in 2014 was canceled without my knowledge or consent back in Dec. 2017 of last year. Since PayLink, the financial service affiliates of Omega Auto Care, were taking consistent payments from my account for the last four years, I never thought to check to see if the payments were being deducted from my account, but apparently, the payments were discontinued. I was never privy to the extended warranty being canceled at any time and was never notified by PayLink or Omega Auto Care about the canceled policy. No one contacted me (via phone, email or postage mail).

I just so happened to call the claims department to initiate a NEW claim for my 2007 MDX Aura and was told that my policy was inactive and had been since 2017 of December. I was floored because I never received any type of communication that my car policy was canceled and now VOID. From the onset of my initial warranty agreement with Omega Auto Care in 2014, my vehicle mileage was well under 100,000 miles and Omega Auto Care was happy to deduct monthly installments from my private checking account to pay for the extended warranty that had the very little risk of car repairs. A little after my four-year agreement, my month to month extended warranty agreement with Omega Auto Care was conveniently canceled.

In 2014, my original monthly payment agreement was under $100 monthly. After 4 years, they conveniently canceled my warranty agreement, without my knowledge, they told me that I could sign up for a newly extended warranty agreement and the payment for the new warranty agreement had doubled in the cost of the original payment to $185.00 per month. I was floored. It appears that they purposely canceled my original policy because the mileage had increased on the vehicle and they didn't want to be responsible for an expensive car repair if one had occurred. They are untrustworthy crooks and cannot be trusted to honor their originally extended warranty agreements if your car hits the high-risk mileage mark.

If your car is about to go over the 100,000 mileage mark and your previous payments were considerably less than $120 monthly, watch out, Omega Auto Care will cancel your policy without notifying you, the consumer, and attempt to make you agree to a new policy agreement that will double in the cost of the original agreement made. BEWARE!!!! NOT AN HONEST COMPANY AT ALL. THEY ONLY SEEM TO PREFER VEHICLES WITH VERY LITTLE RISK. However, OMEGA AUTO CARE will cover your 100,000+ mileage vehicle, but only at a premium. They canceled my original warranty without warning and offered me a new extended warranty contract that had double in cost of the original warranty agreement.

I got Omega warranty when I bought my 2006 Buick Rendezvous brand new and my experience has been good. I took the car to the dealer and they were troubleshooting it for the fuel pump. They told me what was wrong and they called Omega to see if it qualified for a claim and it did. They gave me a loaner and my car was fixed.

But when I went to go pick it up, it wouldn't start so the dealer kept it for a couple more weeks to test it. They started it twice a day every day but they didn't find anything else wrong so they called me and said that they didn't know why it didn't start that one day and that maybe there was an error in the line. I've noticed that most car places wanted me to deal with the warranty. Other than that, I gave them Omega's information. They called Omega and they called me back saying that the claim was approved. Everything went smoothly.

I've been with Omega since 2010 but it was under a different name then. Initially, I was disappointed with the original people in some aspect because of certain things like the airbag. I was told that my horn was hard to push and I should have taken it to the dealer for the manufacturer warranty when I bought the vehicle new. But I never got around to it. They researched it and said that there was a sensor for my horn but it was connected to the airbag. They said that it should be replaced and in order to do so, they should replace the airbag although there was nothing wrong with it. I understood that my airbag was not covered but my horn was.

I started the process with an attorney but I didn't finish it. I went through a lot of stuff to try to get that fixed. Ultimately, I never got it fixed and I thought it was ridiculous because the horn was covered. But because for whatever reason, the way the manufacturer made that vehicle, the sensors for the horn were a part of the airbag. In my eyes, it should have been covered. I've warrantied twice. The first time, it cost me $2,400 and the second time, it cost me $2,800. Overall, I would recommend Omega based on my current experience with them.

Purchased an auto extended warranty 2 yrs ago which will expire in another 2 yrs or 160k miles whichever comes 1st, the current vehicle mileage is 128k, my car started acting up in Oct of last year with a minor the problem which was not happening often (seems like transmission failing). Took the car to a specialist (AAMCO) end of Dec 2017 to review the issue, they confirmed it is a transmission issue after test driving the car, asked that I bring it back after Christmas so they can contact the extended warranty and start the claim process, I then decided to take the car to my dealership instead since it was my choice to take it wherever I want to (Hyundai). They assess the issue and request for a new transmission.

It got denied as they want to re-build the transmission (Off course go the cheap route), however, the dealership is not setup to process re-build transmission, so I talked to the warranty co and they suggested to take my car to AAMCO since they are much better in re-building etc, so I did that. AAMCO process the pre-test and was not successful in duplicating the issue during the 3 days they kept my car so they contacted me and told me that are not able to repair the issue as they cannot replicate the problem not sure why, so I called the warranty co and ask them what is next here.

She (Omega) then conference AAMCO in the call and we all discussed the findings then AMMCO stated there is nothing can be done since they cannot duplicate the issue on the transmission so he cannot move forward with repairing anything, Omega CS stated well if they (AAMCO) cannot locate the problem and the car is driveable then the best thing is to pick up the car and wait until the issue becomes more severe and then take it back in. Now come March and it got worst so I took my car in on 3/5 to another AAMCO and when they submitted the claim request it got denied for "the customer knowingly drove the car when there was an transmission issue.” “Are you kidding me really.”

I was shocked to no end, so my AAMCO rep told me what they told him and ask that I need to call them and shake them up as they are claiming that I knew about this issue and use the car from the previous appt, (now this is all b/c of their approval) and they are now claiming they did not give the approval per my convo with them on 3/5 I went over the complete explanation and asked them review the phone recording that occurred in Dec and the supervisor (Pat) told me he will, called him every day and all I’m getting is he is reviewing and he will get back to me. Today 3/7 I called. No one is answering due to caller ID.

Finally tried the sister co ASI and they got hold of the supervisor and he end result was they listed to the recording and they could not find any convo with their CSR giving us (me & AMMCO) the ok to release the vehicle as is (AAMCO) wrote me a letter stating what happened in Dec as they themself was shocked that Omega is pulling a fast one as well, they faxed over the letter to them and apparently it meant nothing to them, and they stood by their decision made on Monday march 5th the claim has been denied and no change will be made, I told them I’ll be contacting an attorney. They were rude enough to replied me back. It is ok. Please do so and here is the PO box wow, I need your help to stop them from repeating this to other customers as I paid $3500 and this is what I get on my 1st claim.

I received a call 2 days ago during the time I was packing boxes and moving my belongings into storage preparing for moving into a new apartment. I did take time out for the call because I was very interested in purchasing a warranty. After about 30 minutes on the phone I expressed to the woman that I was very interested but that I was in the middle of moving and I asked her if someone could call me after lunch the next day in which is when I would be finished moving and could get a warranty. I was very disappointed to be told that the company is not allowed to do callbacks due to fraudulent act by people. I didn't and still don't understand.

She stated that the company deals with the insurance professionals of Louisiana and that I could get insurance with someone that wouldn't actually cover my repairs and just take my money or I could get theirs at that time. I am pretty smart and foremost have common sense enough to know something just wasn't right. I had also asked if she could mail me info on their company and their services and she said that they don't do that. She said once I made my down payment the company would send my contract.

Again that just sounded ridiculous. I'm not saying that I think the company is a scam at all. I feel that she wanted me to get it so she would get credit. I said, "Well, I'm interested but If you can't accommodate my needs then I will use someone else" and said goodbye and hung up. Within minutes the phone rang and it was the same number. I didn't answer because I was packing boxes out of my home and noticed later. Now I'm really confused and upset about the entire situation. I wish someone with some respect for me and my need for services would call me and convince me that this is a reputable company who cares about their customers.

I have an Omega Auto Care warranty on my 2007 Honda Pilot and I filed a claim for an alternator. They were wonderful and really good to work with. I called them and they said that the repair of my alternator was covered. Then they said that they needed to talk to the people at the dealership. They gave me a number for the dealership to call and the dealership called them. The Omega guys talked with the dealership people and I paid my co-pay. I've only used the warranty once and so far, it has been good. Hopefully, it will work as well the next time that I need to use it. Omega Auto Care would be a good company to use, if a friend would want to use them, and I would recommend them.

I bought this Warranty policy in December 2017 when the dealer Warranty ran out on my 2015 VW Jetta without doing any research. So I have had no reason to use it until March 5th 2018 when the AC went out so I took it to the dealer and prayed I had made a good choice. As it turned out the claim was approved right away for almost $2000.00 bad compressor. So when I picked up my car an hour ago I asked them if they had any problems with Omega. I was told this is one of the better companies to work with. Now keep in mind I have only made $500.00 in payments to Omega. Buy Omega. You won't be sorry.

    Hello Thomas,

Thank you so much for sharing such a great review. As I'm sure you know, many people take the time to write bad reviews, but very few take the the time to share a positive experience. Your review addresses some very important things, that often go unsaid, like the fact that the amount you pay in to a policy does not affect the amount that we pay out. Also, the word "scam" gets thrown around quite often, because of things that have either been done by other companies, or things that have been misunderstood.

We appreciate you as a customer, and we apprentice the opportunity to help you with your vehicle. Safe travels, and we hope to continue to give you peace of mind for the road ahead.

It went like clockwork. It was a very good service. Omega Auto Care is easy to get and to use. It’s also important to have. My car was newer and I was thinking I don’t even need it. In Alaska, they charge me about $146 per hour at the shops. Everywhere else they ever had a warranty on my trucks, they covered the whole entire shop time. However, the guys at Omega Auto Care cover only about $120 per hour, and anything that is over the $120 which comes out to the oil changes task on my truck where it takes about two hours from the oil change, that’s an extra $40 I have to pick up every single time. I had oil pressure sending unit changed out, and it took up an extra $200 tab because Omega doesn’t cover that, and it’s just within hours. It was part of what we arranged but I'm spending $3500 on a warranty that I’m paying what they ask for within. I am very disappointed in the entire thing. I would rather cancel my warranty and then get someone else on it.

I used to be a Ford employee and I bought a 2008 Ford F150 from a Ford employee directly and it had an Omega warranty on it. I've been with Omega for three years now. The warranty repair process is a bit difficult at times in general. But then Omega does a good job of tutoring me through it and making it hurt as little as possible. And the people that I've dealt with have been respectful of my time, which I appreciate.

I submitted a claim when my truck had a front end steering problem. And then, there was a serpentine belt that was slipping a little bit and there was a couple of other little things, too. I took my truck to Autopro Service Center. I handed the warranty information to them. And the guy there called the warranty company and had to deal with it. A few things were done on my truck, and then they couldn’t fix it in the time that they originally told me that they could. Also, the guy there, Calvin, was really rude about it and used some really bad language and curse words. It was totally unacceptable. I got my truck from there, and it then had a four-wheel drive issue.

I went to the Ford dealership and they fixed the issue, but I had to pay another hundred dollars deductible. I was in Atlanta and was busy in the office, and I didn't have time to speak with Omega. But I shouldn't have had to pay another deductible because it was a work that hadn't gotten completed the first time and I had to switch shops. The Ford guy fixed the issue. But when I was driving out and leaving, I noticed that it had the same kind of noise. I called the Ford dealership and made another appointment. I explained what the issue was and they said I should drop my truck off. I'm going to drop it off tomorrow.

Omega themselves has been good. But I was getting a couple of mixed signals from them. During the claim about my four-wheel drive issue, the initial shop called and told me that Omega said I was out of coverage. So I called the warranty company and the rep said I still got $3,500 coverage left and it goes until June. It was rather a little snap through with one of their adjusters. I will always get a warranty on a vehicle and it would still be Omega.

The lady at the desk just didn’t know exactly the procedure and who I was with. Once they got that straighten out, everything was fine. The process at first was not something I wanted to deal with the cost. They kept my car there and I told them I needed my car fixed. After they got everything together, it was okay. I just had to bring my brother with me because I was a lady but other than that, it has been great.

I like the way Omega does it. My payment is due on the 15th of each month and somebody calls me. I’m always on the road and I live in the country and sometimes I can’t get where I need to go. It was great that they call me. Also, I prefer to get my dealership on board. They were not aware on what was going on and who I was with. I received a mailer saying I was 7 days away from the deadline to purchase the extended warranty. I called the number and got the details of the offer. It took me a while to figure out that I wasn’t actually speaking to Toyota, but the offer seemed reasonable, and the coverage pretty thorough. I wasn’t ready to commit, and since I still had a week before the deadline, I mentioned to Tyler that I’d call him back once I talked it over with my wife and looked at our finances. It was then that he told me that their company couldn’t provide me the same offer unless I signed up on that call. He gave a flimsy reason for this, and no matter how many times he explained it, it still made no sense. He even offered to hang on the phone while we discussed it (“go ahead. I get paid by the hour").

I told him that this limitation was a deal-breaker, and that I was done with the call. It became difficult to end the call and hang up. So I finally said “goodbye, Tyler” and hung up. My phone rang a moment later and it was Tyler! He told me the call got disconnected, and launched right back into his pitch. I tolerated this for another minute before saying very clearly, “We’re done. Goodbye!” and hung up again. Don’t you know? Tyler called me back again. I didn’t pick up, so he left a message saying we were cut off again, and he was closing out my account, but if I wanted to call him back in the next 5-10 minutes, he could offer me the “employee discount”. I would never do business with Omega Auto Care. Too pushy. Too slimy.

There was a problem with the electrical control board and it was causing the fuel pump to fail or rendering it inoperable at random. After several attempts to remedy the problem, I finally took the vehicle back to the dealership and they found out what the issue was and told me how much it was going to be. I thought I had lost it because I thought, "It’s just a fuse panel. Is it made out of gold?" I was in a daze at first and then thought I got this plan. So I called Omega Auto Care to make a claim and they told me to make sure the dealership contacts them before they do any work on the vehicle. I called the dealership and the dealership called me back. After that, my cost became $100, which was way cheaper than $1500.

The claims process was almost effortless. I couldn’t believe that the dealer came back immediately and said they already processed my claim with only $100 to be paid by me. I was surprised that that much would be covered. It couldn’t have turned out better. When I bought the plan, there were all kinds of claims they were making that they cover this and all. I thought, “We’ll see. Hopefully, I won’t have to ever use it.” But when I did have to use it, I was surprised. It really is what they said it was. If I buy another car, I’ll probably just contact them again. I could recommend Omega to somebody.

Out of the blue after 6 months from when I purchased the policy I received a letter from Omega Autocare which stated that they did not receive money from Vehicle Protection Department LLC and thus they are terminating my policy. I was shocked to find this out after 6 months.

Since it is already 6 months since when I made the payment I could not file a dispute with my credit card and Vehicle Protection Department LLC was not taking my call. I am more disappointment in Omega Autocare for several things. First they used an unreliable company to sell their product. Second they sent me all policy documents without receiving payment. The policy should have something stating that it is conditional on receiving payment from Vehicle Protection Department.

However there was nothing for me to have a clue that they did not receive the payment. Third, they could have informed me earlier. 30-60 days should have been long enough for them to know that they did not receive the money. However they did not do anything that a professional and reliable company does. And when they informed me after 6 months they declined to provide me any help to get my refund from Vehicle Protection department LLC. I will definitely file a consumer complaint again Omega Autocare for doing me wrong. They have harassed me.

I prefer that if there's something wrong with a vehicle, Omega and the dealership have to be on the same plan and have it all paid and done so I'd just have to sign the paperwork and go. Since we had used the warranty a couple of times before, he already knew the people at Omega whom he had been talking to previously and he went ahead and had the repair set up. So far, we've had great satisfaction with Omega overall and I'd recommend them.

I have an extended auto warranty with Omega Auto Care for my ’98 Cadillac DeVille. I've only had to use the warranty once, for my air conditioning blower motor. The blower went out and I took my car to the dealership, and the people there said that was what it needed. I had my policy with me and they said part of the repair was covered, and they submitted the claim for me. The person in the auto repair shop said, “Okay, it's good,” and the repair was done and I was happy. Everything went so smoothly in my using the Omega coverage and I would recommend Omega Auto Care because I didn’t have any problem with the warranty.

I have a warranty with Omega Auto Care for my 2012 Toyota Tundra. A lock for the door of my car stopped working and my alarm didn't set without that locking, and I needed to file a claim with Omega for that repair issue. The repair and claims process was relatively smooth on my end. I gave all of the Omega information to the guys at the dealership. They called Omega and got the claim pre-authorized before they started the repair work. They were done with the repair and I could've had my car back at noon, but their payment didn't get there until later, so I picked my car up at the end of the day, which wasn't bad. I would have certainly been annoyed if there was a couple of days delay in getting my car back. So far, I've only had that one experience with Omega and the delay wasn't even a major one, and everything else was smooth sailing.

The claims process with Omega was good overall. But the guy that I dealt with at the dealership commented that they don't have an account with Omega. Since Omega is an auto warranty provider, I'm surprised that they don't have an account with Toyota, GM, Mitsubishi, or other name car companies. Omega could do something with the parent or main company and ask that they be authorized to go to the company, and then let the in-house of the company funnel or disperse the claim back down to the dealer. If there had been an established account between Omega and Toyota, then the payment could have been quicker, although I understand that Omega can't establish an account with every single dealership throughout the country. Nevertheless, I'm very satisfied with Omega Auto Care and I would recommend them to a friend.

    Hello Joseph,

Thank you for being an Omega Autocare Customer! We are happy to hear that you had a great claims experience, and we apologize for the delay. Unfortunately Toyota (or other brands) dealerships are not owned by Toyota. Dealerships are independently owned, which would mean that we would have to set up fleet accounts with every single dealership across the country. I'm sure you can see how that would be impossible to do. Our claims department does try to get the payments out as fast as possible, and I'm glad to hear it was only a short delay.

I hope this brings some clarity to the situation, and I hope it is faster the next time.

I have a 2015 Ford Taurus covered by Omega Auto Care. I had a fuel pump issue. It was my first time using the service, so I was a little unsure of the exact process. My car that time was at my apartment complex, so I know I could not operate it to the near shops. I had to get a tow truck to come in and take my car to the shop. And then from there, I called the number from the card I received. They provided me with the towing part of it, and then they started the claims process as well.

Once they receive a call from Ford, I was told from the representative from Omega that a car rental was not needed just because the part that was needed that they had was available at the Ford dealership. And so, that it would be ready the next day and we said, “Okay. No car rentals needed”. I’m not sure exactly what the reason was, but something happened where I wasn’t able to pick up my car the next day. But it was ready for me the following day. So, it was maybe a day and a half that it was there at the shop. So, there was no need for a car rental. But they paid for the tow truck. And when I went and picked up when the Ford dealership called me, all I did was pay the $100 deductible and then pick up my car.

Once we got that towing process done, it took some time for them to explain to me, “Hey, that thing was under maybe 10 miles, 20 miles, or something like that. It’s free of charge. Anything above that, we don’t have to cover it”. So, I got all of that specific down. There were questions that I was asking, like the services that I was unsure of and just kind of what’s available to me, what my options are, and so on and so forth, and they explained it to me very well too.

So, after we got that down, they further explained that once my car was at the shop, they’ll just speak to one of the representatives there at Ford, and then they’ll give them this number, they’ll call, and they’ll file a claim. So, that’s what they did. And that’s pretty much exactly what happened. I gave the number once we got there at the Ford dealership. They called, and they didn’t have any questions there, so they called the number.

The next thing I know I get a phone call from Omega, letting me know, “Hey, this claim has been resubmitted, and this is the next step, so on and so forth. And then once we get the form submittal, Ford dealership wants to take a look at it or whatever. We’ll do our thing. We’ll let you know when it’s been approved. And then they’ll do whatever repairs need to be done, and so on and so forth.” So, I’d say they were explaining very well, and I knew exactly what was happening, and what were the next steps and what not. It happened exactly as it was told to me, so I was very pleased, and everything worked out. And I got my car back two days later. Very, very satisfied. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

The mechanic even told me that they weren’t going to cover some things they had to get because of the accessories with the pump that comes with it. Also, they normally cover me for a rental car, but I haven’t had a rental car for two days and a half. And I had to pay it out of my pocket.

Omega assigns things to the claims reps. They could at least call and acknowledge that they got it and they’re working on it. They could also tell us what we are entitled to. And if a person rents a car for the day, he should be reimbursed for the rental. And like everybody else, you pay the policy off consistently until it’s done. If you don’t pay, they'll call and text you. But other than that, Omega has been okay. My main concern is keeping my car covered.

Something was wrong with my Chevy Impala’s engine, so the car shop filed a claim with Omega Auto Care. There was something loose in the back, and they only fixed two that were bad. They should have fixed all of them because the other one also went bad, so I had to take it back. They ended up fixing it all, and it was timely. Omega called me back the next day to say that they covered it. I was trying to get them to give me a car, so they gave me a rental the next day because they were telling me that they didn’t know how long it would take them to fix it. Omega is a decent auto care company, and they did pretty good. They didn't drag their feet, and handled the problem fast. I would recommend them.

My battery sensor had an issue and I filed a claim with Omega Auto Care but they didn't cover anything with the battery. That wasn’t fair because it was a sensor that went to the negative post on the battery. However, when they wouldn’t cover the battery, they knocked off a couple of payments and they weren’t going to take it out right there and then. Those went to the back of the warranty and what they did was nice. But with the two claims I had with them, I didn’t have a good experience. They didn’t pay for as much as I thought they would have. I got rid of the car, so I canceled the warranty. And when I canceled, the person I talked to was very nice and there was no hassle to get out of it and I appreciated that.

We talked about the engine light before and he said that it had something to do with fuel. He said to leave the engine running and a mechanic will check it out. Then they took the truck to the back and he came back 10 minutes later and said that they filed the claim with Omega Auto Care and it was approved. The dealership did everything. Plus, they started working on the truck and drained the fuel tank. Omega also sent me a text saying that they had approved the claim which I like. If others could afford Omega coverage, they should get it. I have my Hyundai Elantra covered with them and quite a few things were done and taken care of. I took the vehicle to a certified place that accepted that kind of insurance where they did a diagnostic and told me they would contact Omega because it has bumper to bumper coverage. They said that they were going to be able to fix whatever was authorized under the plan and that the insurance company was going to cover it. They also told me that I would have to replace on my own and pay for what wasn’t covered like the wear and tear stuff such as the tires.

Then the mechanic contacted Omega and told them what was wrong. He sent the reports over and Omega called me to let me know they approved such and such to be fixed. Omega's promptness in returning to me was based on how efficient the mechanics were in doing their job so it was a matter about the mechanic finding whatever was wrong in time and getting it to them because that was automatically covered under the bumper to bumper coverage.

My brother worked for the Omega company and he always talked about all of his customers that he helped sign up for extended warranties. He knew that my warranty was coming up and he told me that my car has these many miles so I needed to have the warranty. I figured that since I have a nice car and I like it, I want to keep it in good condition. I would like to invest a bit more in my car, so I decided to go ahead and go with the warranty that he offered. He literally did everything for me. I just had to give him my VIN, my miles and the card.

The claiming process was extremely simple. I only took the car in when I first called for an oil change as I knew that I was going to be driving back to Key West and Omega did everything for me. They called after I was okay with the deductible. I recently had some AC assembly done at a Mazda dealership for my CX-9. It was for my back seat air conditioner that's in the center control area. There are two control knobs, one that controls the heat and cooling, while the other one is for the fan temperature or how strong the fan is. They determined that the two knobs had either been knocked by something and had broken off. The direction that they share off is the temperature and the setting that it will stay on. That was an intermittent problem and because of where those knobs were busted, I had air conditioning but I'm not getting heat back there. So, they had to replace something to fix it and that went smoothly.

Another thing is that there's whirring coming from my front dashboard and it's associated with what they had worked on as it started immediately right after they worked on it. I would pick it up, but unfortunately, I got the work done in Saint Petersburg and I'm from Key West where there are no Mazda dealerships. Nevertheless, I have a comfort feeling that if something was to happen, hopefully, the majority of it is covered by Omega.

I really dissatisfied with this company. The most biggest mistake was getting extended warranty coverage through you guys, I checked out your reviews & decided hey what the heck I need extended warranty on my vehicle. A issue happened with my car, & I have had the car in the shop for over a month and a half now, spoke with someone in your department who was not very nice and helpful. Explained to me that my claim was denied to get my car fixed because I have to have used 1,000 miles on my vehicle in order for a claim to be done which I think is the most dumbest thing I ever heard. I went on to explain to her that my car was not drivable with the condition my car was in I didn't want to make things worst. She acted like she didn't care, so I feel like I'm paying for damn warranty I can't use. I can't afford a rental & no one is offering me one.

I was never told this in the beginning when I renewed the extended warranty that I had to have used 1,000 in some miles in order for you guys to assist me. Total waste of my time, the person tried to get me to another person which was not very helpful as well & rude as well. I'm wasting paying $173 every month when I can't use your extended coverage. Recently, I had an issue with the window regulators on both sides. I took the vehicle to where I get it serviced all the time and they repaired it. They filed the claim with Omega and I just had to pay the deductible. They called Omega and they said that people there were very courteous and they were happy with the service. I would tell friends to get Omega Auto Care if they’re going to get an auto repair.

My GMC Terrain is covered by Omega Auto Care for a year now. Their sales team was fine and they told me which warranty to go with. When I agreed to do it in the beginning, I got books that show my agreement but no one told me anything. The sale was made but the information didn’t come readily, and I had to pull more information about their process. There were some things that came through the mail but it would have been easier if they had emails so I’d know what’s coming. But it got better once I got the process. I took the car to the dealer and had the traction system repaired as it was acting up and breaking the system and several lights came on. It was a straightforward and easy claiming process. I gave them my card and the rep did everything and told me what it was to file. I’m overall very satisfied with my coverage.

    Hello Aubrey,

We are sorry to hear that you had trouble with the information that was sent. We try to make it as easy as possible by putting all of the information in one booklet. I understand that a lot of information is given during the initial set up call, and it can get a little confusing. I truly wish there was a way the selling agents could go over everything in the contract, but unfortunately that would take hours with each person, and is simply not possible.

However, we are happy to hear that you were able to finally get the information you needed, and your claim was completed successfully, and satisfactorily. If you have any questions about your contract, or our claims procedure, please do not hesitate to cal us, and we will be more than happy to go over anything you need.

They gave me information and got in touch with the dealership that would be doing the work. They put a battery in and fixed the alternator. They were able to solve the issue and get me up and running. Plus, it was done professionally and quickly. With the $100 deductible I paid, they did good and I was very satisfied. If somebody has a new vehicle and its factory warranty is expired, I'd recommend Omega Auto Care.

I had a warranty with Omega Auto Care for my 2014 Chevy Silverado. I went with Omega because they explained everything to me that I wanted to hear and they made me understand. I filed a claim with Omega for the repair of my car's AC line and the claim process was easy. When I called Omega about the claim, they told me to take my car in to the repair shop and, once I got there, to let the people there see how much the repair would cost, give them the card that I was provided with which had the number to be called, and then go from there.

I took my car for repair to the Chevy dealership in Caldwell Country since they were closer to me. The mechanic checked the car out and told me that my car's AC line was busted. I gave the receptionist the card and she called Omega. She told me what I had to pay and they took care of the rest. They did all the talking and my claim went through. It took about an hour and a half for them to call Omega and get my car's AC line fixed, and for me to be on my way. That was the only repair that was done to my car. I liked the Omega claim process. They saved me a whole lot of money. From the receipt that I saw, the repair cost was close to $800 but my deductible was only $100. Omega took care of business and they were fast, and whatever they told me was what it was.

I had my 2015 Chevy Cruze covered with Omega Auto Care and Chevy was the one who made the claims. My car kept overheating and my mechanic tried to fix it three times but still, he didn't know what it was. He told me to take it to Chevy. I took it to Chevy four times until it got fixed. They took almost a month to repair my car. Every time I'd get it, it would breakdown the next day or the day after. I'd have to call them to get it towed and I'd find a way to get a rental car.

Omega tried to tell me that they only cover for the labor. The labor on the radiator is two hours but they had to flush out the radiator and all parts that had the oil in it. They had to do a lot so I told them to put in a radiator. However, they had to wait for five days and then it was the weekend to get the part. So that's not very fair. It was very aggravating especially when I had to pay for the rental car for all seven days amounting to a good $1,000. Omega Auto Care should be more helpful with rental cars. They think it's just the labor but it's a lot more than that.

I got my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee covered under Omega Auto Care. They repaired the backup camera, a wheel bearing and an oxygen sensor but I ended having separate claims being a few months apart. I'd rather had it all done at once so that way it would have been one trip and be over with. When I went to the Jeep dealership, I talked to their supervisor who works in the repair shop and said, “Listen, I know it's not under factory warranty anymore, have you heard anything about this company that I purchased an aftermarket warranty off of?” No one there was familiar with it. Omega wasn’t one of the common companies that the supervisor dealt with.

And I said, “Well, obviously, I don’t want you to go any further than you have to diagnose what's wrong and we see what they're going to pay for the repair.” I gave him my pamphlet stating which should and shouldn’t be covered and each time he called me up, he said, “No. I called Omega. It did take them a little while to get back to me, but everything is going to be covered except your deductible.” Omega’s customer service was good. One thing that they didn’t cover which I understand was some sort of buildup on the intake when they had diagnosed the bad OT-sensor. They said that it may end up shorting out or causing problems with another OT-sensor if we don’t pull the part off and have it properly cleaned and serviced.

And I said, “Okay.” That’s technically a running part of the motor. It's only got 70,000 miles on it. By the time I had it, it only had 63,000 or 64,000. It would be covered for 100,000 if it still had the original manufacturer’s warranty. So, I said, “I can't see why this shouldn’t be a covered item for repair.” When I searched Omega aftermarket auto insurance in Google, there's not a whole lot you're going to find about it and what you do find isn’t very positive.

    Hi Kurt,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our company. I tried to call you this morning to clarify why the intake build up wasn't covered, and after looking into your claim I found that you had a "Complete fuel injection service. Clean fuel system/injector and air intake", which is actually maintenance, as there was no failure to repair. It was essentially just a cleaning, and therefore not covered. However, I am glad to see we were able to help you with the $1147.05 that we paid on your two claims.

Please feel free to give us a call if you have any further questions, and we look forward to serve you in the future.

I have 12 vehicles and they all have extended warranties. I got two or three vehicles covered with a warranty from Omega Auto Care. The claim I filed recently for the Jeep Limited was denied by Omega. They said that there wasn't enough mileage from the time we purchased the vehicle and the mileage wasn't over 1,000 miles. No one told me about that or I didn’t read thoroughly about that clause in the warranty contract, so I was shocked and I wasn’t very pleased about that. The whole transmission of the Jeep Limited had gone out and I had to pay from my own pocket for the entire thing. But the claims I filed for the other two vehicles were fine.

The other thing that I didn't like was that Omega took me through a lot of loops to get my vehicles repaired and the repairs took so long, although I took the vehicles to a reputable repair shop. At one time, Omega was the only warranty provider that I was dealing with and I needed to bring in the Dodge Ram 1500 for repair since its air conditioning system went out. But Omega gave me a problem and took me through a loop with this claim too and I didn't have the time to pursue this claim back then because I was going through a divorce that took a lot of my time and I traveled a lot with my job. It has been months since I filed this claim, but the truck's AC hasn't been repaired and the claim hasn't been resolved yet. Overall, Omega did a poor job with the claims process and did not put their customers first. They should be fair with their customers and upfront about a lot of the blind clauses in their contract.

The left passenger's and the driver's window switches wouldn't let the windows up and down so we had to get switches for them. We hadn't had the money so it was a good thing that we had the warranty. Doing a light switch would even cost about $400. They didn't back out of the situation and they had taken hold of the claim. Everything worked out great. I'm going to keep them and I'll recommend them to anybody because I hadn't heard anyone else do the job that they did. I would tell my friends that they need the warranty. I pay a little bit each month for 18 months and they draft it out of my account. I have a Town & Country, and it’s got all of the bells and whistles and bling. If one little thing goes out, it’s going to be expensive, so I got an extended warranty to cover that. One time, the motor burned out and the driver side window automatically goes down when I hit a button, so I took them back to the dealership where I bought the van and they were repaired. They were under the extended warranty at that point. I paid a $100 deductible with my card and then Omega Auto took up everything else. They were great.

I had something with my car’s rear end that Omega covered and it saved me money having that. It cost me a little bit more on it with them doing it but I thought it was something else and I had to take it to the right dealership. I could have taken my car to the hillbilly buddies I got out here and they could have told me what the problem was. Then I could have fixed it myself in about 20 minutes and it could have cost me $16 because the dealership needed to only take a $15 part and change it.

I also had my hub go bad and Omega initially told me that it wasn't covered because it's considered a bearing. But it's not actually a bearing, it's a hub assembly and car actuated. Then the guy I talked to when I set up my plan must have been recording the call because I told him that I won't sign up if the hub is never covered and he said yes. They went back to check it and they paid for the hub through the plan. It cost me 1800 bucks but it worked out. So they’ve done me pretty good.

When I received the estimate, it suddenly sprang up in my head that this might be a coverable item, so I gave them my number, my account number and Omega Auto Care's phone number. Then Omega took care of the rest. It was indeed a coverable item and the next call they gave me was to tell me that it was completed, all paid, and ready to go. It worked out pretty well and was a pleasurable experience. I'm pretty satisfied with the whole deal and I'm going to get a policy for my wife's car as well. Getting it is a good move if one is planning to keep their car for an extended period of time.

For what it cost me I wish I would have thought of it a hair earlier because I had a transmission issue that probably could have been covered under it. Too bad there's not a way to let the dealership know what warranty club I'm a member of so they could check it whenever I'm in their shop. If it's a dealership extended warranty they would have checked and it would have shown up. But with Omega, they have no way of knowing unless I let them know.

I had my 2008 Cadillac Escalade covered with Omega and I’ve filed three different repairs and claims on the vehicle in three different times. The oil pressure problem's the third and most recent, and it was last year. The vehicle broke down on me but the light kept coming on. I was running to the airport and all of a sudden, there was a crazy noise coming out from the engine. The mechanic told me not to move the vehicle and he ran all the tests and all pressure lights came on. It's way more than the sensor and the vehicle was losing pressure from 60 to 25 so that's bad for me. I didn't want the engine to cease up on me so he was doing whatever he needed to do to get it going for me. I let him keep the vehicle for the weekend and he finished all the tests to send out to Omega.

Filing a claim in the past was easy and the mechanic would do that for me after they towed the vehicle. Then the customer service would call me and they'd let me know exactly what's going to happen and if that's going to be minus off of that claim and I understood that. My main concern was to get the problem fixed and they worked with me on that. It was just shocking that this oil pressure problem has happened. I’m changing one part in the vehicle and that's probably connected to it. I hope it's the last repair for a while and that I’ll get my truck back today because, without a vehicle, I feel crippled. I'm happy with the service so far and I’d like Omega to keep up the good work. I would recommend Omega to a friend and I already did, hoping they'll take my advice. I have a 2012 Cadillac SRX covered with Omega. I took it to the dealer due to some mechanical problem and the claims process was a pretty smooth one. But it wasn’t a one-day service. The communication between the dealership and the adjuster seemed to take a while. It took about four days before it was confirmed that the damage or the full repair would be covered.

2 out of 3 times they helped me out. They are very responsive and quick to follow up. I wish when I did sign to a 3rd party that they did not sound like I was signing up through the actual car company. I wish I had more time which I did to review the policy and let my mechanic review as well to make sure what they did cover and what I might need to be covered would be the same.

I can't honestly review the company, because I've never actually had a warranty through them. But, I gave the negative "review" because I was called by spammers pretending to be Omega Autocare. One of their executives contacted me on this site, and we talked by phone. He really wants to put the Bad Guys out of business. They give a phony 888 number with a real receptionist who answers and is very convincing. If they ever call any of YOU-first blow them off (or waste their time with phony info) and then call that 888 number and blow an airhorn at that lady. They can be purchased cheaply at sporting goods stores.

    Original Review: Aug. 29, 2017

I get a LOT of calls for extended auto warranties-despite being on the DNC list. I got one today. First, I got a Latino, then a woman, then an ** American man. I wasted fifteen minutes of their time, and then said "You're not a Charity or a Politician, so you have no right to call me" and a few unprintable things, and hung up. (THIS what we all have to do-when possible-the time waster is their Deadliest Enemy!) Then-I called the 888 number of Omega and explained that I had been called. The lady said- "We only call you ONCE-we can do that. We're a legitimate company, or else you wouldn't be able to call our number." I said a few even MORE unprintable things to her-and hung up. Don't use this company-even if they're giving it away. Don't feed Telemarketers.

I have a Malibu car that's covered by Omega Auto Care. I had a problem with the timing chain and had a busted manifold so I called Omega and took the car to the dealership. The dealership took care of the vehicle from there. The whole process was easy but it took about a week. Also Omega did not pay for the manifold and some other thing so I paid $500 out of pocket. It was an inconvenience being without a car for a week and they don't provide any rental car. I'd like Omega to pay for a rental car when the repair is going to be two to three days. But Omega has been good overall.

Omega gave me the best coverage rate. I needed a set of struts for the front of my 2013 Mazda 3 and my dealership filed it for me. They said it took a bit of time to verify all the information, but it went smoothly and they were able to get everything covered and processed for the struts. I received excellent customer service and anytime I've had issues with billing, Omega has been willing to work with me on it. They try and keep in contact with me about anything, so anytime there are any issues, they reach out. Overall, it's been a very good experience. I intend on trying to use Omega for future coverage of my car once it goes out of this current coverage and I plan on trying to keep them as long as I can as well as going through another vehicle I will purchase here soon.

I have a 2011 Dodge Charger and a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee covered under Omega. They did a replacement for the transport keys because the Jeep was stuck in forward drive all the time. The initial submission of the claim was fine because my body shop handled most of that. But the adjuster initially declined my claim. He said that it was apparently wear and tear and that wasn’t something covered in the book. When you go into the book, specifically what was wrong with it is one of the first items listed in that section.

So, I fought back and went back to whoever my representative was with customer service and I spoke to a manager. And they basically review the claim and the adjuster was no longer working for the company because of how many issues they had and they didn’t even see a reason why she declined it in the first place. It just went back and forth. And because I needed my vehicle back from the body shop, they were asking me to come and get it out, I had to pay $1,300 cash to get it. And then, I went back and forth again to get the check. So, it was about a month’s process from beginning to end. Plus, they have like four different names. So, every time I spoke to somebody new, and my check came in a different entity’s name, I didn’t know what was going on. I've also had issues calling customer service like they haven’t been able to locate contract for whatever reason. It hasn’t been easy.

But aside from this situation, they haven’t given me issues before. I would definitely recommend it for used vehicles. Unfortunately, I've had to use it several times since I've had the claim especially since I just got my Jeep, all of this started happening. I would absolutely recommend it to people who don’t have that extended warranties on their car, it’s a good backup option to a dealership warranty. Just be prepared that some of the situations aren’t covered and there's nothing you can do about it.

I have my Nissan Rogue covered under Omega and that warranty’s worth purchasing. The very first time I tried to use it was my bad but the last two times, it was wonderful. My very first experience, my car was broken and I had to have it fixed. And so, I told the repair people, “Just fix it. I got to leave in two days.” And it was not covered because Omega had to approve it before it got fixed. It would have been fixed under the warranty, but I really had to leave town in two days and it was a Saturday. So, it had to be fixed on Saturday. I couldn’t wait until Monday. And that was a $1,600. So, just do not touch that car unless you first call these people and say it's okay. But as long as you follow the guidelines, it’s a very easy process. The other time, I didn’t do anything at all. My Nissan dealer did it. I just went in there and handed all my things and said, “I have this extended warranty on it. So, if you can use it, please do.”

The air-conditioning fan motor on my '12 Impala started going bad and it burned up a resistor and the fan motor. It was easy to get the repair done. Unfortunately, the warranty for the car had been moved from the glove compartment to the truck, so I didn't have it to give to them when the work was done. I had to get the paperwork and file a claim with Omega and I'm not happy. I called and got a hold of some snotty girl who gave me an address to write down. I had to ask her a couple of times. I wrote the letter out as to what happened, sent the paperwork in and waited some time. I called and they didn't have a record of it, so I had to go through the whole process all over again.

The last man tried to help and I was told what wasn't there and what he was going to pay. I was told the resistor was more money than what it should have been and they're only going to pay so much. The dealership charges and that's it. Omega sent me about $150 and they wouldn't pay for the resistor because it was something electrical, but the fan motor is what made it go bad. I had a $100 deductible and the amount should have come a lot closer than what they did. I paid about $500 to get the repair done. All in all, I'm not satisfied and I would not recommend them.

    Response from Omega Auto Care

    Dear Mr. Staub,

Thank you for using the Consumer Affairs platform to share your feedback.

Omega Auto Care asks that all customers have their shop contact us before starting any repair work. We understand some customers are unaware of this process, which is the reason we allow customers to submit their receipts for reimbursement if for some reason we aren't notified before the repair is complete. In this instance, we did reimburse you for the repairs, but after further review, the amount that you were reimbursed was short of the total cost of your repair. To make this right, I have requested the difference to be sent to you, and will even reimburse you for the $100 deductible.

Hopefully this will resolve this matter and change your opinion of Omega Auto Care. On behalf of Omega Auto Care, I apologize for the inconvenience, and will have your reimbursement check in the mail today.

Thank you for being an Omega Auto Care customer. We look forward to serving you for a long time to come!

My 2007 Dodge Nitro is covered under Omega and overall I am very satisfied with them. My AC went out, it got fixed, and all is good. The tire gauge however, Dodge didn’t fix that but they charged me like $85 to diagnose the problem. It looked like in the dash that kind of tire gauge and they said that part was like $300. They said the sensor was bad or something like that, but Omega doesn’t cover that since it’s not a mechanical part. The Dodge dealer should have known that it was not going to be covered to begin with and should have told me so I didn’t have to pay $85. But other than that, I didn’t have a problem.
