So far, Omega has been great. We had to get a starter and the process went real good. The guy called them and told them what the deal was. I went to a GMC dealership and told them what the deal was. They okayed it and they fixed it for us. We got the car out on the same day.

When my truck quit on me, I looked on the back of the card and called roadside assistance. They sent out a tow truck and they towed me to Graham Chevrolet. Graham looked over the truck and they found out that the timing chain in it broke. I'm very satisfied with Omega so far and I'd tell others to get it.

I'm very proud of Omega and I have not had a problem with them. You could take your car anywhere as long as they're licensed. Also, everything that I've had to make a claim on was a success and I thank God for it. When I had to have a transmission and heater core replaced on my Nissan Sentra, all I had to do was present my card to the service department and they did all the calling to Omega. They let them know what was going on, then Omega sent an adjuster of their own down to check out to make sure everything that service department claimed was wrong was really wrong. After that, they gave them consent to go ahead and fix it. Getting the transmission replaced cost $4,000 but I only paid the deductible. If others qualify to get Omega, I would tell them to go for it. They are a very good company and they're reputable.

I filed a claim and for whatever reason, it wasn't covered. Omega said that I have the best policy for my car and it's saying the part is covered in the policy, but once it came down to it, they were saying it was not. The customer service is okay but I wouldn’t tell anybody about Omega. I was misled.

I recently took my vehicle to the dealer twice within several months to repair defective issues. NOTHING was covered. If the dealership part labels wording is not the same, word for word, they will not cover. When I signed up for the extended warranty with REPAIRBLANC, they informed me that it would cover everything, exactly like the extended warranty I previously purchased. Power window switch, rear camera, ignition switch. NOT COVERED. Previously; Engine Motor Mounts, NOT COVERED. I even spoke with customer care and she stated the window switch was covered and I could take it to a RepairPal facility to waive the $100.00 deductible. The RepairPal facilities stated they do not want to deal with their warranties for reasons they couldn't disclose. So now I'm stuck with an extended warranty that's not worth a dime. I see they respond to claimants with YOUR warranty doesn't cover this or that. The same attitude that the phone calls represent.

Once people signed up with Omega Auto Care, they would have a certain number of oil changes. I have not tried to have the shop put into those because that's something new where the shop could call. So, I have submitted an email to their fax number. I don't know about how successful it would be to have the shop paid directly. That would be better. But the old system was you put in, and get a check. The literature that came with my welcome package says I would get it in two to three weeks, but the actual is four to six. That's very slow. I was with Omega and I canceled my policy because I was annoyed with that process. I signed up again and said, "Let's see if this works any better." They kept promising. Their sales department does a wonderful job in convincing me that I would have a better experience, but they wouldn't follow through with it.

The other thing I'm ready to call Omega and ask about is whether there is a different policy because I seem to be pay more than all of the competitors that call me and say, "We can do this for $89 a month or something. What are you paying with Omega?" "138." "Really? Why is that?" And they tell me, "There are different levels of coverage." I said, "I want only the big ones, like transmission or something really hard to pay for at once." I don't care about getting three oil changes in my first year. I'd rather have a lower monthly fee because I expect to pay for that stuff anyway. Or minor repairs, I can handle. I had a repair for the air conditioner compressor and they covered that. So, they're not all bad, but there's lots of room for improvement.

The claim process is okay. I've done the maintenance claims, the brakes and New York State inspection. The window thing was not working, and that went well as well. But I had issues when the switch for one of the automatic mirrors was not working. I had my car in, the service shop called, and they said, "It's a coverage issue." I said, "I don't get it." They said, "Your card is expired that you used to pay the monthly bills." I said, "Wouldn't it have been nice if I was told that when the card was rejected?" So, the car was in there for an additional day while I said, "No problem. I will give you the updated information on the same credit card," and it was okay.

The phone tag thing was annoying. But more annoying than that was the fact that they would just wait until it was canceled for two months and say, "You haven't paid the premium in two months, so you're no longer covered?" It was sloppy. Once I gave them a new card, everything was fine and the shop went ahead with it.

My experience with Omega was horrible. After paying 3,000 for that extended warranty, the time we ever tried to use it, they came up with some kind of Technical Service Bulletin type thing, saying that it was not their place to pay for the repair. The repair was 2,000 something dollars. So, I had General Motors on the line as well with the lady that I talked with. I was out of town when my husband first took the truck to the car shop. When he called me, he said they called Omega to get whatever the number they needed to say that they were going to pay for it once they came up with what the cost was gonna be, and they refused it.

It took a week, a week turned into two weeks, we still didn't have our truck, and this is the only vehicle we have to get around. My husband has Parkinson's and he has kidney failure and he had classes he needed to go to, plus he had a dialysis to get to. We went round and round. The lady from General Motors was real nice. She tried everything to try to help us. We finally got 10%.

I called and talked with Omega. This is day in, day out, me being on the phone, didn't really have the time, but I was getting furious. Finally, at one time, I remember hollering, "I don't care who pays for it, I just want my truck back." I don't have $2,000. I have medical bills. I need my truck to get my husband around. I'm tired of asking people for favors. We live in the country. I need my truck. The lady at Omega kept transferring me, and they finally got me to the person who was their manager. I told her, "You know, I didn't pay $3,000 for this contract that y'all are not gonna do anything about."

I am not happy with them. I don't like them. I went to the Attorney General here in Missouri. I filed a complaint. She said she didn't know if they'd be able to do anything. She said, "Well, what do you want?" I said, "I'd like to get my $2,000 back. But I don't know if I'm gonna get it. Right now, I'm frustrated." I've been on the phone with them every day for two weeks. I had to get a rental car because we had a death in the family. I would not recommend them.

My experience with Omega wasn't quite good at first because it took me a long time for them to let me know what's going on to see what parts was being okay. The claims process took almost three weeks because I had to keep calling. I even spoke to one of the managers, the train power supervisor, and the person that was supposed to say what was what. The delay was with the parts they were negotiating with the mechanic. It had to do with what was my policy covering and money-wise, what was covered. Everything wasn't covered on some things. The experience was a little crazy for me but the job was done after going through so many changes. I paid my money.

I was very dissatisfied with Omega. As soon as I go and try to put a claim in, they gave me a problem. If they're given the client's money every month and it came out their account and it was paid up, why can’t the client get what they need to get the service in a timely manner? If you get Omega, ask a lot of questions first. What does it cover, especially when it comes to the powertrain and the transmission. If it doesn't cover certain parts, it needs to be explained to the consumer. You should be given a choice if you wanna go with this company or not, becasue if it doesn't cover everything, why even paying for it?

Omega is good on the whole. My wife drove up on one of the concrete pillars and she went to back it up. It pulled the undercarriage from under. After it did that, I went to Nissan to get it fixed. One of the bolts fell out and they didn't secure it tight enough. The molding and everything that was going there up under the carriage were all hanging out. I waited another day or two before they got to it to fix it because it was all backed up.

Also, somebody tapped the front of my Maxima and the sensors went bad. I pulled up on somebody and the sensor was not letting me know someone was in front or back of me. Nissan looked at the issue but they didn't do anything about fixing it. The other day when I got in my car I was going toward the intersection of my block and a little kid came out. He was between the cars and the sensor was supposed to pick that up but it didn't. When I turn the sensors on, they just come on but don't do anything. I gotta take it back to Nissan.

If the fuel pump didn't get fixed, then my car would shut off. The hole in the fuel pump would eventually stop the vehicle from driving because the fuel pump can't pump the fuel through the vehicle. The process was a struggle for a little minute. Omega was being difficult with trying to get it fixed. And it took me having to have a conversation with the rep from the Christian Brothers who fixed the fuel pump and the consultant on the Omega end. At first, they couldn't get to a common ground and I had to intervene to explain what was going on. It finally happened but it took a while.

I got Omega to get my car fixed mechanically without having to give out big lumps of money since I'm paying just $127 a month. So, at that time, it was feasible. But I don't have Omega anymore. It's overpriced for the amount of service that was provided and it wasn't in a timely manner. It was like pulling teeth trying to get my car fixed. I wouldn't recommend it.

Now I'm in the process of trying to look for another shop because of the cost. Because they use used parts. I had to pay out-of-pocket more than what they cover. I asked them if they could send me to a company that they work with where I don't have to come out of my pocket as much. I drive a foreign car so I caught myself trying to get a good warranty, but it's like it's not an asset to me. Even with my rental, they only covered up to three days, which if the part was back ordered, I still gotta pay more out of my pocket because they have a set amount of time of what they think the time frame of what it was supposed to take to fix. They told me to show them the tag and credit card, and they would do the rest. They said, “Take it to your Ford dealers.” I called the Ford dealers in Streator and then I had to take my car up there to have them check it out. They said the part they had to have was the air conditioner compressor. They put it in about a week later. I called up there to see if I could come up and they said yes. I sat in the waiting room for about five hours. When I went to pay for it, they said Omega was gonna be paying for all of it except for $100. I just got the water pump done on my truck and the water pump's already going out. It's been three months. I wish that I had more protection based on what I got out of it as far as the EGR system, but that was just a higher package and I think I was just being cheap. So ultimately, that kind of rolled back on me but I didn't have any problems with them personally. I filed claims a few times. There was one claim that dragged on but I completely get why. What had happened was the fuel rail sensor went bad. I took the car to the dealer to get it looked at, verified, and repaired. I made a claim with Omega and they did take quite a while to do it but it was mostly because they had to fly someone out there to inspect the truck firsthand which is completely understandable because that was an expensive repair. It was like $8,000.

The rest of the time, it's been like, "Oh, yeah, I need to get this fixed." Then they instantly refund the money. I didn't even handle them. I just handed off their number, my policy number, and a couple of other things over to the dealer, and they dealt with everything for me. Omega did what it needed to. I just sold my truck. Omega Auto Care covers my 2012 Equinox LS. I filed a claim and I just got my vehicle back about a month ago. They said that they had to rebuild the engine in it, but then I talked to the person with Omega and they said I had to come out of my pocket and pay $500 to get my car back. The Hampton Chevrolet said that Omega paid about $3,000 for the engine. But when I spoke to a representative from Omega, they said it was like $9,000 for work that they've done. I was like, "Well, how is that possible?" Then I tried to get back in contact with the person that I was speaking to and I could no longer get back in contact with them.

I have all my paperwork from Hampton Chevrolet. They had my vehicle for almost four months without me even having a rental. So, I had to borrow other people's cars to get around to my doctor's appointments and everything like that because it was back and forth between having Chevrolet and Omega. No one was really communicating with each other, and they were waiting and waiting for an adjuster. Then when the adjuster came and asked them to break the engine down, they broke the engine down and then tried to get back in contact with him. It took another while for him to come, but then just to come back and look at the engine again, and then he wanted them to break the engine down even more.

They said, "Well, we can't break it down no more because we already had the engine off the block and we had the engine." Then they want to know the measurement of piston rings and all that stuff like that. The whole time that all this was going on, I had no vehicle. I was never reimbursed within four months that I was out without a vehicle, and I had to pay other people to take me to the appointment or either pay them to use their car.

When I got back in contact with Omega, I wanted to go ahead and cancel my policy, and they were like, "No, you can't cancel it now. We done pay $9,000 to get your vehicle fixed." I was like, "Well, wait a minute, though. If you paid $9,000 to get my vehicle fixed, why was I without a rental car for three and a half, four months?" They didn't have an answer for that because they said that Hampton Chevrolet was not getting in contact with them and Hampton Chevrolet said that Omega wasn't getting in contact with them. So, I was the one that was getting the shaft. For four months, I was calling, and Omega was still taking payments out, which is $172 and some a month.

When I picked my vehicle up, I had to buy a brand-new battery because the battery that was in the vehicle all of a sudden went bad. Hampton Chevrolet said, "Well, we got a battery and it'd cost you 300 something dollars for the battery and install." I didn't have any money like that. So, I had to borrow some money to buy the battery from AutoZone. I was really screwed for about four months on Omega. They said they understood the frustration that I went through, but there was no compensation. I'm still really salty about that.

This lady finally helped me out when she told me that once I got my vehicle, if I had any more problems, I could give her a call. She was the one that really helped me. She went above and beyond to try to help me get my vehicle. She was talking back and forth to Hampton Chevrolet. As of right now, I wouldn't recommend them to anybody because of the bad experience that I had. Omega never sent me any paperwork showing me that they paid $9,000 for the car, but I got paperwork that Hampton Chevrolet said they got 3,000 for them to fix the car. With the warranty that I had, I should have only paid a $100 deductible, but I had to pay almost 500 out of my pocket to get my car back from Hampton Chevrolet.

But the dealership said they've never had to send a video. But the benefit is, I haven’t had to deal with Omega directly. One time, I had to dispute. Technically, it was $1,200 or more, and I didn't have to come out of my pocket with all that money. They took care of everything from the beginning to the end. The claim process was easy, and their $100 copayment is good. It’s just the dealership that I was dealing with was expensive. Omega covered a certain percentage of the labor, and I had to pay for the rest of the service that we got.

The people who do the automatic bank draft were supposed to call me to tell me something had happened and I had to mail in my payment but they didn't do that. I didn't make my last two payments. I was in the process of getting some work done on my vehicle and that was when I found out the policy was canceled. They finally agreed that it wasn't canceled but I didn't like the fact that they don't know who's canceled and who's not. It was too expensive too. But I still have them and recommend them. They acted quickly and got things straight for me. I had already paid upfront and they sent back what they would have paid. It came up to $1,018 for the alternator and the bearing assembly. The coverage could be better though. They don't pay anything with labor. They'll pay for some parts, but not all. On my new vehicle, I'm gonna look for something that's gonna be a little better than what Omega can offer.

They were wanting to use some refurbished part and they said that in the contract, they could use that. I had to ask them to use factory parts. The problem is it takes a long time to get the parts. They have to come from Germany. Also, Omega doesn't have lot of room for a rent car. They could improve on their speed as well. One time, the inspector took six days to get out there, but they're supposed to get there in 24 to 48 hours. It wasted a bunch of my time on the phone with them, trying to get them to do the things they were supposed to do. At one point, whoever was managing the claims had said it was not covered. When we got looking into it further, it was covered. Omega is expensive but so far they’ve stepped up when they should have most of the time.

But once I got to the right people, they were very helpful and I was able to get my claims processed. I've had a couple of claims. I used the RepairPal. They had suggested if I went through RepairPal, that I would not have to pay a deductible. I found a RepairPal facility nearby and I took the car there. They assessed the situation and contacted Omega to get authorization to have the repair paid for. In both cases, they paid the full amount and I didn't have to even pay the deductible. Omega approves things right away. They replaced the turbo injector for us. The problems we've had was not usually Omega's fault. It was the mechanic’s and the shop’s. Unfortunately, with every claim, I have to get a broker involved. Once I do, things happen quickly. But each repair tends to take up to a couple of months for me to get my cars back. They have a towing option and other bonus options that I never even got to capitalize on because they're only within certain time frames and certain parameters. You can only get a rental car while your car is being worked on. But until they're working on it, you can't get the rental car.

Even though Omega provides parts, if you don't take your car to a mechanic that doesn't accept the parts from Omega, they can charge you whatever they want. Omega would say, “I'm sorry. There's nothing we can do". We had to get our car taken to another facility because one facility wanted $1,300. I could have done it myself for $300. Omega said they were trying to work with them. The broker found me found two mechanics in my town who were willing to accept the parts and charge me much less. My out-of-pocket ended up only being $100. I'm supposed to have $100 deductible. I went through the special website to schedule my appointments and Omega waived my deductible through the shop. Because we had to move my car to another shop, they even waived my deductible there, too. Omega also covered my diagnostic fee at both shops. They did good by me, especially with that particular repair. It could have cost me a lot of money but instead of costing me more, it cost me less.

I am disappointed now I don't have them because my car got too many miles. There were two times that I needed Omega for that particular car. Those two repairs covered more than I paid. It was worth it. There was the inconvenience that I didn't have my car for a few months and I had to deal with talking to different people and moving my car, but it was still cheaper than me having to buy another car or me having to pay for those things out-of-pocket.

I did have a little trouble getting the yard to pay for my repair because Omega doesn't pay 100%. They charged a lot more than the auto shop I went to. I ended up paying 100 because the shop had messed up. That was terrible. They didn't fix my car right. The oil hadn't been filled when I took it. They left it empty. My car was showing that I needed oil right away but I just had it in the shop for repair. I had to take it back and they had to put the oil and they made sure everything was right.

Being protected with Omega Auto Care has not been the most pleasant experience. They're just the better of the evils out there. I was with them for a full term four years, and that plan expired, and I renewed just recently with them. I renewed with them specifically because they had a very large claim that they had to pay on the first policy. That experience wasn't the best, though it ended up very good. I got reimbursed on the rental car. Surprisingly, when I sent in the receipt, it was paid quickly.

I had a claim for a new transmission. It's about $7,000. I turned the car in. I brought it into the shop the day the policy expired. So, it was met with some opposition initially, but once they saw that it was still a valid policy after that, then it moved quickly. There were no issues going forward. I talked to the manager and the supervisor who initially was trying to deny the claim. I told him my personal feelings, how I don't like how this industry scrutinizes every claim that comes across their desk and looks for a way to deny them instead of being that person who can save the day because at the end of the day, that's what these policies are. They are peace of mind.

This experience was a full circle of experience because of the way that they've begun to try to deny a claim so quickly. I said, “Listen. I get it. You're in the business to make money. Obviously, you're still in business, so it stands to reason that you take in more premiums than you pay out claims. So I get it. But goodness, don't be so quick to scrutinize each and every one, kind of deal.” So, we came to the middle ground, and at the end of the day, I am happy. I just had to fight tooth and toenail the whole way. The moment they realized that they're on the hook for it, they took responsibility. They moved very expeditiously.

If you're considering Omega, make sure you get the right person to work with. Some of them are not pleasant, and I have had very bad experiences. I was talking to one woman who I was asking about canceling the policy and getting the refund and she was like, “Oh, you can just cancel it.” So, she canceled the policy without me giving her the authorization. I was only inquiring. I said, “But you didn't even do the refund.” She said, “Oh, well, you didn't say you wanted a refund.” She was going to cancel the policy, and I owe nothing more. She wasn't going to inform me that I had a refund due to me. That part was shady. I said, “Would you do that if your mother was canceling the policy?” She said, “We're not entitled to inform you that a portion can be refunded back to you.”

I worked with Omega on a claim and it was a nightmare. I had to take my car to three different shops to get the coverage that they would accept. I called before I even went to the place that I was taking it to, which was the closest to my house, and and asked with that place would take their insurance. They said all they needed to know was if they could pay over the phone. So I called the place and asked. They said yes. I took my car in, then Omega didn't cover half of the stuff. So I ended up in a war between the auto care service dealer that did a diagnostic because they wanted a $400 diagnostic charge and Omega was only willing to cover $100 of it.

I told the dealer that we were not doing that and when I asked if I could take my car, they said no and that I got to pay this diagnostic charge. I had a few things going on with the car and I realized that place was high. In the end, they let me take my car but Omega made it really hard to get any shop charge. The shops and Omega were not meeting eye to eye. The next two shops that I took my car to were both saying that they used the same national website to get their numbers and that they were using off market prices. But the insurance company was saying that they could get the parts for a different price. And these two shops were shops that Omega recommended.

I then asked Omega what shop would work with their warranty because I didn't want to do that ping pong process forever. But it was the same crap with the next guy. They said it was very difficult to get things approved, but they accepted Omega to ship them parts. But they shipped the wrong ones, so the place that I took my car to wasn't thrilled about that. It took me a month or longer to get all these things done and I still ended up coming $400 out of pocket when the whole point was to go in and get things taken care of that were part of my full coverage warranty, which weren't full coverage. The part that was good was I received customer service from Omega. They worked with me and went back and forth. Everyone was nice and professional, and I could get ahold of people, which in this day and age is nice.

I just recently took my car because I have an issue about the door handle but they were not able to cover because it has already reached the coverage for my car. They need to explain all these details when they offer this extended warranty so the customer knows what to expect for what they buy. Also, there was something about the transmission and it took close to a month for them to answer. In the end, they said they would pay half of what they were supposed to charge. For the repairs, the repair was close to $8,000 and they would pay half of that amount. I have to pay the difference out of pocket, from my pocket.

My 2013 Impala just started shuddering and Omega replaced the transmission for me. It took about two weeks, which is the only part I didn’t like, but they got it in for me. They covered everything except the transmission fluid. Omega is good people to deal with. They do what they say they're gonna do.

My recent experience with Omega Auto Care was not that great because I ended up spending all this money on a rental and all they gave me was $210. My car stayed in the shop most of the time. There was one thing done the first time, and then it needed a transmission and I couldn't drive the car because it needed a transmission. So, when I spoke to someone from Omega, they said, "Well, we took care of that. And the fact that it was in the shop, it had nothing to do with us." So, at one point, I could rent, but then after a point, it got too expensive because I spent over $2,000. The car went in at the end of January and it didn't come out until late March. So, I had to figure out how I was going to get around.

Omega covers my 2014 Dodge Journey. I have two claims. The second claim was the transmission. The first one was taken care of, and they said, "Oh, come get your car." Then, they said when they test drove it, they realized it needed a transmission. All that was time in-between, I call them and they would say, "Oh, we don't know nothing about what's going on." I felt like I was getting the runaround from somebody. No one would give me a good answer. So, I didn't feel good with the dealership because I felt like I was getting the runaround and I end up spending all this money. After a while, I could not rent anymore. It became expensive.

So, It's a good thing I'm retired and didn't have to go to work because I would have had to really try to figure out am I gonna get to work. I was happy because I am covered for transmission. They took care of that and my deductible was $100. The first one, I didn't like, but I guess it is a part of the contract. The first time, I had to kick off $500 because the dealership was saying how Omega did not want to pay their labor fee and their labor fee was 175 and they only want to pay 145. To me, that wasn't fair that I had to come up with it. Omega said, "We ain't paying that." Then, the dealership is saying, "Well, somebody has to pay it." I got stuck with having to pay for it. I won't recommend them to anybody right now. They could have really done a lot better.

When my car's AC stopped getting cool, I went to have some Freon put in it and it was leaking out. Something had busted on it, and it took a while for the shop to get on the line with Omega. We had to hold the phone for an hour or longer or whatever, but other than that, the rep was nice. However, I had to pay extra for something, and I felt that I shouldn't have had to pay anything besides my co-pay.

I talked to my daughter about Omega because she asked me for the number, and she was gonna call and talk to them. She has CarShield, and I told her I had CarShield, but I went back to what I had once before, which was Omega. I didn't have to use CarShield when I had it, but I understood from some people that I know had CarShield, from them talking about it, they said people are slow about getting their money.

I had the starter repaired on my FJ Cruiser and the dealership filed the claim for me. The only concern that I have is that there's a specific amount that the warranty will pay for a part when the work is submitted. So, I always have to try to make sure that the dealership can provide a part within that cost amount. If not, then I have to pay the difference. Omega could look at what they are providing as the cost limit amount for the part and increase that a little bit more for the customers. Other than that, I've been very pleased.

I have had smooth transactions. The dealership knows that they need to contact the warranty before they begin any work to get an authorization. So, I don't have any issues with that. Other people in the past have complained about that step being skipped, and then them being in a position where they had to take care of whatever the repair work is because they missed the step of getting the authorization first. But that hasn't been a problem for me. Omega is a very reputable company. They stand behind their warranty product and people just need to make sure that they understand the claims process before they decide to buy into the contracts.

If it's related to another part that's not covered, they don't cover the failure. So, I wouldn't recommend those coverages to anybody. I had Omega and I had another one because I didn't realize I was paying for two of them. I had the mechanic call both of them to see which one was gonna cover the breakage. Omega covered more than the other company did, which was the only reason why I'm sticking with Omega for now. Plus, I paid that $1,000 upfront to get it started.

My 2014 GMC Sierra is covered with Omega. There have been problems. They thought I was making payments, but I paid upfront. So, they didn't have me down. So then, when I had a problem, there was a lot of runaround. They had it straightened out, and then they messed it up again. So, it did take some time. They did finally cover the claim, but because I had paid my total two-year premium upfront and they put me down as payments, they canceled my service saying I didn't make payments. I wasn't supposed to make payments. So, there was a little misunderstanding for a little bit there. It did take a couple of months for that to get all straightened out.

For the most part, the representatives were very nice. The two women I dealt with were the ones that got the process through. One gentleman was kind of rude. He kept saying, "You're not covered." I said, "But I am covered. I'm covered. I have the book, I have everything, I paid upfront." I couldn't seem to get it through to him. There were a lot of phone calls. There were lots of waiting on hold. The one person that I could contact wouldn't answer anymore. He gave me his direct number, and then he answered the first time. Then, when I was explaining what was going on, he wouldn't answer his phone again. I left messages and he never replied back.

Other than that, I got a new transmission and it seems to be going well. I'm happy about that. Kudos out to those two ladies. They did a great job. I took the car to the shop, and they went and looked at it, and then they said they weren't going to cover it because I didn't have coverage, and they said my tires were too big. So, I looked up the specs online as to tires for this truck. I called them back and said, "My tires are not too large. They're the exact mid-range tire I should have on there. Look, according to the GMC specs, I am right where I should be for my tires. I don't know what you're talking about."

One of the ladies looked it up and helped me out through that part. She said, "No, your tires are just where they're supposed to be." She got her manager and they said, "Nope, you're fine." So, there was quite a bit of running around. There were a lot of calls but in the end, they did cover it. I had to take the truck back because they said they wouldn't cover it. Then, they told me I had to have it in there by a certain time. So, I brought the truck back and the mechanic was very nice and he did it. He did not want to deal with the warranty coverage because he said they're always a hassle and he was right. This proved to be a hassle, which I don't know why. He did get paid right off. So, I was very happy with that.

But they would refund me the money that I had to pay out of pocket anyway because they denied the claim, and they refunded me even though they claimed that it wasn't covered. But I don't understand why they would have paid me.

I'm still using them just to get all the maintenance stuff, but I'm gonna cancel it because I'm sure that if anything else comes up, wouldn't do a courtesy thing again and they would claim everything is not covered. Everyone that I talked to that works at Omega were all nice and kind. Everything was out of their power. But Omega should have in-house adjusters. That would defeat the purpose and there's a reason that they have out-of-house adjusters. But that was where all of the miscommunications occurred.

I first got the Omega when I had my truck and it's been five years now that I've had the warranty.

I took my truck to the dealer as I needed service. I gave them my extended warranty, but it didn't go through the extended warranty because I didn't realize that I still had an extended warranty from the dealer. When my truck was paid, I extended the warranty. When there was an issue with my air conditioner, I went to get service and it was declined. The first time I took the car to the dealer, they ripped me off. I was not going to take my truck there so I asked Omega what dealers they have listed so I can go to them. I went to the one here in Port Saint Lucie. The guy there was so rude and he he said it was declined and it was gonna cost me $3000 to fix my air conditioner.

I asked why it was declined and he said "Because you still had an extended warranty on that particular part of the air conditioner." When I called the dealer and I asked if I had an extended warranty on the compressor, he looked it up and said no. The warranty expired a certain year. That was when I called the auto repair again and told him what the dealer said. But he said that was what my extended warranty said. I called Omega again and I told them the story about how I no longer had the warranty. The rep looked and told me it was still warrantied. I said, "No, it's not. I have proof here that it's not." He told me "I can't do anything. You have to go back to your auto. That's what your auto repair said."

When I went back, I said the auto repair, "Don't do anything until you get this fixed." That's a lot of money and I've been on this insurance for a long time. I showed proof that the part wasn't on the warranty. The repair shop called Omega again and got it fixed. Omega finally accepted the claim. I still paid the guy 800 and Omega extended warranty paid the remaining.

On top of that, the repair shop guy said I was gonna need brakes and pads. He said he could do everything for almost close to $3,000. In the beginning, he was so nice. But when I didn't wanna do the brakes and everything with them, he got mad. I called two other mechanics and they told me, "But that doesn't have to do anything with Omega." That's too much as well. I got my brakes and everything for less than 1,000.

When they fixed my air condition, the guy had to take pictures for Omega to believe them that it was a true statement. When they declined the claim, I was gonna cancel my Omega extended warranty because what's the use of having extended when they're always declining my claim? But I still kept it and my truck's been in good condition. I still have it until '24. But no, definitely, I'll give them a 5. I'll give Omega a 5.

Go for Omega. But you have to be careful with the shops because they'll double the price. Even the dealer will double the price. I have a really good friend at the Cadillac. I said, "When I brought it here, they still charged me over $2,000. I know that I could have fought it, but I was just so busy." I really got mad at the insurance sometimes. Omega didn't wanna talk to me because they go directly to the shop.

I kept having trouble with my car starting, and when I took it to the shop, they determined that one of the issues with the vehicle was the alternator. The car was in there for about two weeks. There were lots of things wrong with the vehicle, so the shop fixed what the warranty covered. That process was quick, but there were other things wrong with my vehicle that the shop had to fix that weren't under the warranty. Omega only covered the alternator for the vehicle, and for what I'm paying, I thought more would be covered, but I haven't had time to really look into it. The additional work that needed to be done, I had to cover, so I gave the shop permission to go ahead and fix the car.

At first, I didn't even know the warranty company's number or their name. I don't have anything in my records. No mail. They sent me an email when I first took the policy out, but that got lost. I had to call the number on my bank statement and they gave me the phone number for Omega. When someone asked me about Omega, I gave them the information. I told them that they would have to call and find out what would work for them, because they have different plans and I didn't know which would work. I said the coverage that I have doesn't cover everything that I thought would be covered, but nevertheless, I didn't have a problem. They were friendly and courteous. They gave me a list of auto repair shops to contact and if I use the ones that they recommend, then they waive the $100 deductible. That was great.

I've been paying $151 a month, and Omega told me I have four more months, then I'll be done paying what I need to pay into the coverage plan that I have with them. It took me 24 months to pay the total cost and I wanted everything to be in the warranty. However, I know what I'm paying and what they cover, so I had recently put a callout to them because something's wrong with the car, now, with my electrical. The person that I spoke with said that that would be covered under the warranty and that he would send me the recommended places that they send, but I never received that email from him. I have to put a call back out to them.

Omega has helped me pay for quite a few things with the car, but it's not all easy. The car kept stopping. It's an INFINITI, so it's a smart car. I was driving down the road, and then the car just said, "Car malfunction." Then I just lost complete power in the middle of the road. I took it to get fixed, and they fixed the alternator but they did it three more times to where I had to take it to the dealership and get all of this stuff done. Initially, Omega covered the alternator, which was cool. I had to pay the deductible. Then, once they messed up again, I took it back to the place, and they just replaced the alternator on some type of warranty because I had maxed out. Then the third time, once they did it, they said that I needed a new computer for the car, and Omega didn't cover that, which was like $3,500. Then, we needed a new transmission and I had to get another alternator after that.

As far as the claim process, I have to find a dealer that will accept Omega, which is really hard for me. Then, when my car is there, Omega says that they'll pay for a rental car, which they never did. I've been in a rental car for quite a while because my car broke down on Christmas Eve. I just got it back on March 23rd. They didn't pay for the rental and the battery. They just kept saying that I have to send my receipts in and send them to all these different places. That's too much. I'm already dealing with all this stuff with a car. I still recommend them to everybody. Every time someone's car is down, I'm like, "You gotta get Omega so they can help you pay for it." The best part about having a warranty with Omega is I don't have to pay as much if my car breakdown. I would have been out of like $12,000 fixing my car but because I have Omega, I only came out at $4,000.

Omega's customer service was very nice in discussing the warranty and what it was about and how it could assist me. As far as claims, I'm thankful that I don't submit the claim. Where I go, they submit the claim and verify the information, and I'm finding out if I'm approved or not. I've never had any problems. I call, and I've been successful in talking to someone to ask me if I am okay. I like Omega. The only difference is the part sometimes are not manufacturing parts. So depending on what type of car you have, if you want the manufacturing parts, you gotta pay the difference. That was what I had to do. I had to get a starter for my car, and the starter that they wanted to give me was not a factory starter.

Every time I call them and I spoke to customer service, the first thing that they made me feel good about is my safety. "Are you okay? Are you in a safe place? Do we need to get someone to you immediately? Where are you located?" That makes a difference in customer service. Why wouldn't I wanna go to friends and family? Why wouldn't I wanna know people about them? Because they had my best interests at heart, and my family, I'm sure they're like, "Wow!" So, I tell my friends and family that if they don't have a warranty, Omega is the best place to go.

The couple of times that I had to use Omega, it was pretty seamless, so it was good. There was a time when my car kept showing passenger steering system warning, so they had to change a lot of things in the seat. Then one time, the rear brake light apparently was malfunctioning, so that was changed too. There are a couple of things that were not covered by the warranty. The last time that I used them, I had to pay about $1,000. But overall, I'm happy with the service.

I had a side mirror repaired and I had to pay a $100 deductible. It wasn't that expensive. But Omega just rejected me for a claim and I'm not feeling too good about it. I had to have the whole back piece of the halo lamp for an inspection. The rep from the dealership said something about a signal light but this isn’t a signal light situation. A halo lamp is totally different from the signal light and she described that to Omega but they still rejected the claim. Omega can improve on their customer service as far as their description of things. I'm driving around with an expired inspection sticker because of a halo light and I don't have $600.

Omega is not helping me at all. I've been involved with Omega since at least 2016 so I've given them a lot of money and I'm not getting the service that I thought I would be getting for my vehicle. I have to do all my business during the day now. But if I get caught at night driving with that light out, I'm gonna have to pay court costs. Then I'm gonna have to pay a fine. It'll be very costly. So, this impedes me from moving around at night.

    Debron,

I'm sorry you are dissatisfied with your coverage, and that you felt our policy wasn't clear. Headlights are a standard exclusion for coverage on vehicle service contracts, regardless of the company.

If you would like, one of our customer service representatives can go over the coverage with you in more detail, or if you prefer to review on your own, "Lenses, sealed beams, headlight assemblies, light bulbs" are all listed at the very beginning of the schedule of covered parts in your policy booklet. I will have someone reach out to you.

I like Omega although some things are not covered like regular maintenance. So far, I had some brakes and rotors done on my 2018 Toyota Sienna. And I'm going be taking it in the shop soon because the blower motor is starting to go out. Sometimes it screams at me when I turn it on. Whenever I have a claim, sometimes Omega doesn't pay for everything but they will cut the bill in half. My service people would tell Omega about the problem and they'd tell them which part they'd be paying for. Then, my mechanic would tell me what Omega said and tell me which part I would have to owe. So overall, the warranty has been very helpful and I would recommend it for all car owners. Omega has been really good and I haven't had any problems in communicating with them. They really try to honor their thing.

The garage was like, "Do not come back here if you are going to bring that insurance back here. We will not do this any longer." They call Omega and they have to sit on the phone for 30 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. At one point, they took 35 minutes to get ahold of someone.

The second problem is the amount of time it takes to get the review done by Omega. The car was gone for five weeks. It took so long to get approvals for anything to be done. Plus, the communication is terrible. The smaller shop I went to was not going to deal with Omega any longer so the next time I had a problem, I went to the dealership. I was like, "The dealership is bigger and they'll probably deal with crap like this better." That was when Omega ended up being a godsend company because they paid to replace the transmission which would have been really expensive.

When I brought my car to Honda Hills and they called Omega up, they said that my warranty expired. I got really pissed off with that and I had to get in touch with them to ask what was going on. I had to go through all the channels to find somebody to say the correct status. They said they didn't know who said that and why it was said because I pay every month on time.

I have Omega for over two years and never missed a payment. And I don't know why I had to go through so many people. That's not what they go through every month when they take that money out of my checking account. Also, I don't know if I got a used transmission or a new one. Nobody ever came back to let me know but the person who did the repair for me said that most likely, it's a rebuilt. That bothered me because I don't know how much mileage is on this rebuilt.

It was ridiculous trying to get the repair done thru Omega Auto Care, but after all the dust settled, they kicked in and did what they had to do. It's a good company, but they need to sharpen up the edges a little bit and have a little bit more patience, especially when you're dealing with people like me who really don't know stuff about this field. That's why we rely on them. And maybe they need to revamp their company when it comes down to putting personnel on the phones or work with people who really don't have it that well. The patience of some of the reps was short and they didn’t want to answer the questions that I had. But there were some people who picked up where the other ones had fallen and straightened it out.

When I had my oil changed, I called Omega and let them know that I was doing the oil change. They told me to give the card that I have to my dealer and the dealer would call them and had them to pay for it. When they first told me about the oil change, they didn't tell me how much my limit was. When I went in the second time and did my oil change, they said there was a limit of $55 and my oil change was $77. But they went on and paid it.

Throughout the whole program when I had Omega, in the beginning, I had no issues. When I purchased my vehicle, I used to take the car to a dealership and that was only the dealership that works on the car. I took the car four times to the dealer. But the last experience, in the end, I wasn't too happy about it. I had a gentleman that called me back and he was very rude. He went ahead and told me that they no longer do it like that. Now, they have somebody that's overseeing the repair. They only send the car to the repair center that they would suggest to us. We can choose another one, but the hourly rate that the dealership was charging, they were not going to cover that. They could only cover what was average in the area.

I said, “I have a contract with you guys where my car was being serviced, and that was the only place I specifically require, if I'm gonna go with that, this is where I wanted.” He said, “I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do. You can try to reach anyone you want. You can talk to a supervisor.” And he was a supervisor, for my understanding. He was trying to send me to a transmission repair place but my car didn't have any kind of transmission issue. Then on top of it, the dealership said, "This cannot be done. Take your car somewhere else. I don't know what you want to do." I had to go ahead and find myself another place. I was very dissatisfied.

I'm not 100% satisfied with what I got. Since I was with Omega, they should have covered everything that was originally covered and not cut some of the key factors out. When I renewed it, they should have let me renew the radio and the GPS system. Everything in here works. So why can't they guarantee it? Last time, when I had some work done, I was told that I could take it anywhere I wanted to, and I did. I always take my vehicles to the dealer. I don't use aftermarket parts or shops. Everything goes straight to the dealer because I want dealer parts that I know are good quality. But I ended up having to pay about $1,200 for a transmission 'cause Omega wouldn't cover it.

They said I could take it to AAMCO and get a cheaper transmission. I'm not taking it to AAMCO. I'm taking it to the dealer to get a dealer transmission that's factory remanufactured, not remanufactured in some backwoods shop that you don't know if it's gonna work or not. I also got a three-year warranty with it when I got the dealer one, where AAMCO only gives you a year. I'm contemplating right now, because of that, to call back and drop the warranty.

    Martin,

Thank you for your feedback and your honesty. Coverages are based on the age of the vehicle, as well as the miles on it at the time. As with any insurance product, risk assessment goes into the calculation of the coverage. Let's say that the same coverage was available to renew, it would be so expensive that you probably wouldn't want it, since your vehicle is older and therefore a bigger liability. I hope that makes sense, and that you continue as an Omega Auto Care customer.

We appreciate your loyalty over the years!

I have never been so upset in my entire life. I called Omega Auto Care because I knew I had towing, but whoever answered the phone told me I did not exist in the system. I was stuck. I was 60 miles from home, in the cold, and in the rain, and I'm 70 years old. I had to pay $414 to get a tow truck to come from Houma to New Orleans to tow my car back. When I tried to get my reimbursement of a measly $100, I got the runaround from them. It took me four days to finally speak to someone in person that had any idea what I was talking about.

The reps sent me from one place to the other, and I filled out three different forms. The last thing I saw was a text the Saturday before last saying that I was gonna be reimbursed with a $100 check, which I should see within the next 10 to 14 days. I'm still waiting to see that though. Still, my towing claim was the only time I've ever had problems. We've had three other things, and I love that the engine and motor service is absolutely wonderful.

When the original warranty from Chrysler and Dodge and Jeep went out on my vehicle, Omega contacted me and I talked with them. They told me what they covered and I liked the deal. They told me the price, what my payments would be, and what my down payments would be. Everything was manageable for me so I signed up. So far, I've renewed twice. I have the same protection but it's on a different policy because my old one expired at 101,000. Omega said I had 30 days and that I had to drive so many miles before I was covered as far as what they will pay.

My car was taken in for repair and I was told the shop wanted to flush out all my system. The gasket in my exhaust by the manifold was loose. Omega was gonna do the exhaust but they couldn't cover it because that was under the basic maintenance of the vehicle. But I always kept that truck in running condition with the oil changes and stuff like that. We figured that out and it was a minor problem.

What happened was my vehicle was trying to start over and it wouldn't catch. It was a relay switch that Chrysler came out with and it was discontinued. What they did was they came out with a new switch that they put in the box. They probably sent me something saying that it was a recalled product. The guy that actually did the switch found out it was a relay switch with a wire to it. He opened up my hood and showed that to me. I went on and had it done. It cost me $300 but it's okay.

I had a claim way back in 2018 and Omega covered it. I took the car to a Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM in Naperville. I paid my $100 deductible and the issue was fixed. They gave me the receipt and it was $1,100 worth of work to do on that truck. Omega always told me that any ASE-certified shop can work on the vehicle and they will cover it. But I rather for the dealership to deal with it.

I've been dealing with Omega and since they're good, I would recommend them. But as far as looking forward to and seeing what a warranty covers, make sure it covers everything as far as what you need to cover. I even have that now with the new warranty. It has that basic maintenance coverage on it such as oil changes and tire rotation. I'm satisfied with Omega. I had different companies calling me trying to get me to switch over and I told them, "No, I have a warranty, an extended warranty on my vehicle and I'm very happy with who I have." I've been locked in with them for years.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a less than satisfactory experience, and as much as I would like to be able to rectify the situation for you, there are exclusions to even the best of policies. Cecil,

I am sorry for the misunderstanding during your sale, but ALL vehicle service contracts have a validation period. If people simply waited to get a policy when they were already experiencing a problem with their vehicle, we would eventually go out of business.

Although I am very empathetic to the unfortunate situation you found yourselves in, I am sure you can understand why we cannot cover pre-existing issues.

We would love it if you would give us another try in the future, as we do value your business.

My experience with Omega hasn't been very well. I took the vehicle to a Dodge dealership and they did the oil change. They had to change the lug nuts also, but that was because of a recall. The only thing we got done was just the oil and when I turned in the bill, Omega said I got to wait to get reimbursed until I send it over. So I faxed it to them and they said they received it. They said that once they review it, six weeks later, that's when I'll get the reimbursement. But I got $50 back instead of the $600. So, it’s a big discrepancy.

Omega was supposed to give you a card saying that you're a member. I called them several times and told them I need something to say this or that so I have proof of what I had. They never sent the card to me. It took about five phone calls. They told me that I had to wait until a certain mileage and after a certain time and that's when I would get covered. They didn’t explain all that to me when I first got it. I'm not satisfied at all because I'm paying quite a bit just to have that insurance.

Your oil change was $73.20, and your maintenance benefits have a max of $55 per oil change.
