    Reviewed June 28, 2024

I bought a Ford F350 from National City Auto on 16 Nov 23. I received rejected paperwork from the Ca DMV on 11 Dec 23 for a missing Vehicle/Vessel Transfer and Reassignment for (REG262) or a Bill of Sale (REG 135). I called them to know I received the rejected paperwork. They told me they knew, not to worry, no need to send them the original paperwork to resubmit because they had already resubmitted and to expect title/plates any day; that it takes a little longer for Govt vehicles but rest assured all was well.

I called 22 Jan 24 to check on status and I was assured no need to send them the original paperwork, that they had resubmitted and should receive plates/title any time. I let them know the tag were expiring soon. I called back 3 times on 15Feb24, let them know tags were expiring. They told me 2 times that Mike would call me back . He did not. I reached him on the 3rd call. He said everything was AOK, expect my plates/title any day.

I called back twice on 19 Feb 24 and asked to speak to a manager. They said the manager, Mike **, would call me back. He did not. I called back on 19 Feb 24 left msg for Mike to call me back. He did not. I called back on 22Feb24 and was told Mike would call back. He did not. I called back on 23 Feb 24 and spoke with Mike. He said I would get new temp tags paperwork in mail, not to worry, it takes longer for govt vehicles and plates/title were on their way. I received new temp tags expiring 29 Mar 24.

I called on 18 Mar 24 and told not to worry. I let them know I was on travel and needed plates/title. Nothing arrived so I called back 2 more times on 27Mar24 and finally got thru to Mike and he let me know he didn't get temp tags and I would have to drive on expired tags. I called on 2 Apr 24 and talked to Maria for Mike to call. Mike said he got temp tags now expiring 30Jun24 and sent me a pix from his cell phone while also sending in the mail so I could travel after being stranded for 3 days waiting on valid tags. I called again on 25 Apr 24 and talked to Daniel who said all was well, it takes longer for govt vehicles but everything was AOK.

With temp tags expiring I called on 24 Jun 24 a couple time to the (619) 477-8400 number and it beeped like it was out of order. I thought company went out of business. I called back and got thru and was told Mike would call me back. He did not. I called back on 24Jun24. This time I was told Mike was at lunch and would call me back. He did not. I called back a 3d time on 24Jun24, talked to Ari, told him I was on travel, the tags were expiring this Sunday 30Jun24 and needed temp tags or plates/title. He said all was good, not to worry, they would have temp tags or title Thursday, 27Jun24, and Mike would call me and let me know Thursday.

Mike did not call back. I called today, 28 Jun 24, told he would be in at 10:30am and he would call back. He did not. I called the (619) 477-8400 number and got the beeping like it was out of order. I then called his cell phone (619) 980-4057 and then sent a text msg to him. He did not respond. I called back to the (619) 477-8400 number. They asked leave a message and said Mike would call me back. I asked to wait to talk to a supervisor. Mike answered after being on hold. He said he didn't have temp tags for me, now I need to send them the original documents to them so they can resubmit for title/plates. I told Mike the documents are in AZ, I was on travel, and needed a pix of temp tags like before but he said no. He said I now had to send the original paperwork to get temp tags.

I said that was unacceptable. I asked if I could return the vehicle. He said no. I again pleaded with Mike I will be stranded not driving on expired tags. He said he would get me temp tags on Mon, 1 July 24, stranding me 1 day. I asked he reconfirm he would actually keep his word but he wouldn't. I asked if I could speak to his supervisor. He said he was the owner then hung up on me. I am not sure what to do. I am very disappointed with this company why I am writing this review. People should know.
