Went to buy a king ranch F150 at Grapevine Ford trading in a Mercedes. Experience at the Mercedes dealership has always been A+ over at Avodale (formally Park Place) but now need a truck as my needs have changed. Went in the Grapevine Ford a few times to narrow down what I wanted and get my trade-in valued. My first warning should have been when they would not give me the trade-in value over the phone or until we were at the final stages.

After 3 hours of back and fort.. Finally got to a deal.. Shook hands.. Signed the paperwork. This is where the new problems started.. They came out and said the truck was actually not on the lot and would have to give me a loaner for the weekend.. I said ok.. Waited around for the loaner and the finance guy came out and said there was a mistake on their part and the interest rate they gave me is not a program and the new interest rate is now double what we agreed to. That we did not have a deal anymore.. Not my credit.. Nothing on me.. This was their fault.. Complete waste of 3 hours and a few trips of my life.. Everyone got real cold like they sold me a truck they didn't have and just wanted me out.. No Attempts to make it right.. No attempts fix it.. Nothing.. I have to say I had to fight back the urge to use naughty language.

Went over to Five Star Ford in NRH, Told them what I was willing to do for the same truck.. 10 minutes later, we shook hands..signed and I had a new truck.. Completely different experience. I texted my old Sales person at Grapevine ford.. He said his director would be calling me.. I asked for the GM's contact....crickets.. I googled the GM...I emailed the GM... Nothing... I emailed the Berkshire Hathaway Automotive CEO.. Nothing.. After reading all the reviews, seems I should have done my research. These are the reasons people hate buying a car. They make it feel like you are about to go in for a root canal.

If you go here to buy.. Expect all the stereo types of bringing you a crappy deal.. You say no.. They go back to their sales manager.. They bring you something a little bit better.. You will have to do this 3 or 4 times.. Then.. Expect the deal to change when you meet the finance guy.. They take your trade in keys so you can't leave.. They don't tell you the trade in value till you see the finance guy.. They know after 3 hours you are so tired, you will accept a crappy deal. Life is to short.. Five Star Ford didn't do this to me and is just 20 minutes away..
