Driving home from work during rush hour my car decided it had had enough. All of a sudden I heard this clanging sound and was lucky to be able to pull onto the outer lane. I just thought it may have overheated and needed to set awhile. I tried again and it would not turn over. That is when I called Delta Auto Protect explaining the situation to them. The friendly associate quickly got my information and sent out in no time a tow who lifted my car to a desired repair shop. There I found out my starter had malfunction and it would take a couple of days to repair. DAP connected with me and quickly arranged for a rental car to be delivered. With the small deductible I had to pay it saved me a costly repair. I am so happy I took a policy with DAP. They have saved me thousands of dollars on auto repair. Call them and let this company save you the price of high automotive repair. I'm sure glad I did.

I provided a review of the company and Consumer Affairs must have contacted them, as I immediately received a callback. My review indicates it has resolved, but that is not true. It is time to contact the Pennsylvania attorney general and district attorney, as well as AARP, as they have taken advantage of a 76 year old woman, with their lies and false promises. They need to be shut down in PA, just like they were in New Jersey, then started up again, in PA. This company is a complete scam. Anyone interested in filing a class action lawsuit?

Why isn't there an option to rate this company experience a ZERO? Delta has refused to submit payment after authorizing repairs in July of 2018. As of today, October 1, 2018, I have been informed on two separate occasions that a check was cut and send to our facility. We have never received either check. I was assured by representative that if a check had not arrived at our facility by September 22, that I could call in and would be able to take payment via credit card.
I called in September 28, 2018 to take payment as instructed by the representative and was transferred three separate times to a voicemail. I called back the fourth time and asked to speak to a person was finally put in touch with a representative who informed me that Delta could not pay me immediately via credit card and that a request was going to be put in to call me within 24 hours to provide payment. It is 4:10 p.m. on Monday, October 1, the day someone was supposed to call me to make payment and I have not heard from one person at Delta.
Furthermore, I sat on hold for 22 minutes today, just to reach the "overflow" center (again) and leave a message. I was willing to hold for 45 minutes if it meant I could speak to someone who could actually assist me. When I asked to be placed on hold again and not to leave a message-the overflow rep informed me she could only disconnect. I called back two more times and received a voicemail. Delta will not provide payment, even after more than 60 days of calling them!

We are currently on a 5th set of checks to replace the prior three expense reimbursement checks all which bounced from Delta Auto Protect. I do not believe these checks will clear either. We have tried to get reimbursed for 7 plus months, just to have more problems. They did not deliver as contract states. On top of the bounced reimbursements from them, we kept logs of conversation and have involved the Better Business Bureau.

Several hundred miles from home my vehicle developed rear end troubles. It took this company 11 days to tell me they would not fix my vehicle while I had to pay for hotels and a rental car. When I bought this insurance I told my salesman that my car was supercharged and asked if it was covered. He stated if factory it was covered but not if installed later. He never told me my car wouldn't be covered because it was modified and sold me this worthless ins. Be very careful with these people. They are dishonest and do not operate with good faith. It has been over 3 weeks and the company has not returned any of my calls or emails. You get transferred because Ashley or Jesse or Aaron can help but no one picks up once you are transferred and when you call back no one answers. The dealership didn't get any phone calls back either, I took my car to the dealership that I was told to take it with an authorization which didn't exist.

On the way home from work, I noticed the needle on my engine temperature gauge was very high. I thought the car needed some water, so once it cooled down, I filled it up with water. I started the engine to see if the water was the cause of high temperature, but the needle wasn’t moving. I made an appointment through Delta and brought my car in to a local garage the next day. Apparently, the radiator fan that keeps my engine cool was faulty and had to be replaced. All I had to pay was my low deductible. It was totally worth getting Delta Extended Auto Warranty. I have contacted my bank and will be contacting the Attorney General and District attorney of PA, where they are located. Also contacting AARP legal to do assist with getting my money back. They do not offer extended warranties, but service contracts.
This company is fraudulent and a scam to get your money. I have even asked to speak with the president of the company, Charles Seruya several times, but the customer service reps always say they don’t know who he is. Always transfer me to accounting department and I leave messages, with no return phone call. It's sad that they scammed a senior and took her money. It seemed at one point I didn't believe my a/c would ever work again. I went about three weeks without fully functioning the right way; some days it would work, some days it wouldn't. Some days it'd only blow hot air, some days it wouldn't. At the drop of a dime, all that changed though. My extended warranty from Delta covered the cost of my repair, making it an easy decision for me to get it fixed. I wasn't sure it would so I didn't bother trying to get it fixed, but after a while, my car became unbearably hot. I was able to get my repair done at my local repair shop (very reliable guys, here), and it was done quickly. Even the repair shop remarked about how good the communication was between them and Delta's claim department. No mishaps with my claim, nor with my fixed a/c. Everything was handled as promised. This has been going on for over one month. I have been on foot and I as a multi terminally Ill, disabled ailing senior with many weekly doctor appointments cannot take this anymore. I was very cautious and shopped around before purchase, I asked a lot of questions but in the end I went with one of The BBB and Consumer Affairs TOP THREE best EXTENDED WARRANTIES!! You need to correct that! I have trusted you guys always. I bought into the salesman's scam and he lied to all of my point blank questions of coverage (over 30 minutes of me going over everything I could think of) As, they just use their hidden loopholes to avoid paying larger claims according to the internet).
I reject the extortion of "Delta Auto Protect" refusing to do warranted work unless I pay up front to remove the transmission, have it disassembled and then inspected. So that they can THEN decide if they will cover the costs of the repair... At a cost to me of $4,000.00 to -$5,500.00 TO ME before they will even decide if they will fix whatever is wrong with it... I bought an all inclusive, no money out of pocket and no deductible total at a premium cost so that I would not have to worry about any out of pocket expenses. Unless it was the radio or CD player or cloth top. But all main electrical and mechanical (except brakes) is covered.
This was all made very clear to me. At no time did ANYONE EVER SAY or advertise that if anything ever happens YOU will be responsible for the removal, tear-down and inspection before they will even decide if they will fix what is wrong...!! THIS MUST BE DISCLOSED BEFORE PURCHASE IN THEIR COMMERCIALS... My drivers window stopped working, no prob. It is covered, right, WRONG. Everything but a known to be most likely to fail component that operates the window IS NOT COVERED. SO ANOTHER LIE. Windows are only covered if the motor blows, relays, switches, things most likely to are not.
I was promised if anything ever went wrong, all I had to do was take it to Volvo (or any mechanic of my choice and pick it up done). They verbally approved the work to Volvo before back stepping a week later, They sent a independent inspector who said IT IS A VALID CLAIM. They never returned one of my total of12 calls over the past month. I only heard from them in nasty calls two days after I reported them. Then they discovered while I had them reviewing my file over the telephone that they had very serious errors in my file and everything was mixed up with others claims. IT was not even my vehicle in my files! After 3 weeks of being on foot!! I was told They would fix it and everything would be OK.
NOW on Aug 10, I get a call stating they may fix some of it but I have to pay up first for all the labor. I was promised before purchase that there would be no out of pocket expenses and we covered everything. That is why I bought into their VERY BEST COVERAGE. BBB & CR's ratings... Which they are NOW telling me just covers bits and pieces and the lions share is my responsibility... THIS IS MISREPRESENTATION, LYING, AVOIDANCE to all of my phone calls and those of Volvo. I was sold a bill of goods illegally. What more can I say??? Just this, I have been waiting 3 months to be reimbursed for a radiator that was leaking. I mailed, faxed and emailed in the claim and Delta Auto Protect denies having it, but I have the fax receipt and email, The receipt is dated. 04-24-18.
This is a total consumer rip off company, just scroll down on their reviews, or check, rip offs.com or any of the rest. They pay piddly but NOT pricey. This is fraudulent "DIAMOND PREMIERE COVERAGE" Ripping off the disabled and low income folks who will not/cannot not make a fuss... I am trusting in you to protect us all from unscrupulous business practices... I brought my car in two times for a covered mechanical failure since purchase almost two years ago and the first one radiator they "just lost" and this one they made many mistakes in my records and now demand I pay thousands upfront just to see if they will fix it... THIS IS NOT THE EXTENDED FULL PREMIER COVERAGE (THEIR BEST) THAT WAS DESCRIBED TO ME OR PROMISED ME THAT I PURCHASED...
Is there no justice for the consumer?? I trust that is what you are here for. Legal aid told me that you covered all businesses doing business in CA even if they are located in PA or anywhere. To do business in CA YOU are the last word... I trust they are right... My MD is concerned for my longevity with all this stress and frustration I am having to endure for over a month already and still NOTHING.

The claim submission was acknowledged on June 11th and a request for service records came to me on June 24th.
The account specialist "Jeffrey **" never returned any of my calls nor e-mails. Eventually an inspector came out to the dealer on July 14th, looked at the car and denied the claim stating the transmission code had been triggered before (according to the document 1 time 2012). I have since canceled my contract (On July 21st) and have been promised that my check is in the mail. The last time they gave me the batch number under which it was processed, stating that it went out in the mail on August 22nd and will take 14-21 business days to arrive. I had a couple issues with my car recently so I checked the contract and even had the dealership go over it Monday August 13, 2018 to be sure when I dropped the car off for repairs.
The news was promising and awaiting documented approval. Tuesday still good news, even Wednesday but no documented approval yet. Then Thurs Volvo got no return call or approval so I called the man who sold me the contract Rick ** at **, No answer every time but I was able to leave 4 separate messages over the next two days with no response to date. I called Volvo's Robert in service (**), who has been diligently calling himself with no response after the beginning of the week's positive feedback from "Delta". Rob recommended I call the claims depart myself (866-598-5429) to light a fire under them, which I have 5 times but even during their business hours back East I always get the answering service in Arizona. Which seems strange as they state "At your service 24/7" on the contract. So I called Robert at Volvo Thurs and Friday with my lack of any response to nine separate calls and messages left...
Friday late afternoon Robert called me to say they approved PART of something I did not even bring it in for, BUT NOT the covered issues I brought it in for! Are you recommending a scam business? ESP # ** last six of VIN # **. After I turned them in they called me Tue irate and threatened legal action if I did not forget the claim. I said NO and hung up on him two times. Today is Thursday evening. So a second week without a car and I am a disabled senior who cannot be without my car... My policy promises a rental car but with the experiences I have been having, I cannot buy into THAT too... I have been ignored two weeks when I expected the repairs to be done and my car back in one day!
Updated on 09/02/2018: It has been almost one month since my car went into the shop for a repair that was approved verbally that day with Delta, however they waited until after a week of not submitting it in writing to deny the covered claim. I tried 9 times to contact them only to reach answering machines and a live answering service. A month later I have still had no response to my calls. I have rental car coverage as well but they have returned none of my calls (separate) to engage that either. So I am elderly, disabled and no transportation to make doctors appointments or buy food. Delta, sent out an independent inspector out to check my transmission two weeks ago. The inspector told Delta "This IS a covered claim."
Delta has never acknowledged THAT or returned my or Volvo's calls since (at all in a month). I did receive one irate call from Delta to "just drop it or face legal action" the morning I refused and they sent out the inspector two weeks ago who approved my claim. But that was only after I reported them after the first week to "The BBB". Still no response on MY personal calls and messages.
In my opinion this Delta nightmare extended warranty claim, is the absolute worst case scenario and from what I am reading far from the first. Sure they are eager to pay off piddly claims but if you have something major go wrong they refuse to pay and just do not return calls. Hoping one will just go away and leave them with your 10X reinvested payment up front for a 5-year coverage to profit by. These companies reinvest your payment immediately to high yield investments so they have 10X what anyone pays of everyone yet refuse to do the right thing and honor their contract when it goes over a couple hundred dollars.
Updated on 09/06/2018: I finally receive a call after 15 messages left over the past month. Jeff was being evasive and I dug deeper then he discovered many discrepancies in my file, wrong VIN number and other things. It looked like after all this time they got their records straight and were going to fulfill my claim. Last time we spoke days ago, Jeff said there was something very wrong with my file and he was going to get to the bottom of it. He said he could not talk further until he figured it all out... I was never given an explanation to date as to what they had done wrong.. But it looked like my concerns were over due to their human error and then today I get threatening calls from Jeff and Johnathan about my reporting their business practices. As follows.
I received another "curt" call from first Johnathan and later followed up by Jeff. The one who discovered their errors in my file. Of course no explanation was given as to what happened with mt file and the documentation within... Even when I asked repeatedly I was always talked over and not given a chance speak until the entire generic script had been read to me. Which answered nothing. My concerns were unwelcome only the script was reiterated and my pointed questions were evaded and glossed over.
I was told for the first time today by Jeff, 9-06-18 that finally my transmission would be considered once I PAID TO HAVE IT REMOVED TORN DOWN AND INSPECTED... This never came up before my purchase of their 5* Warranty or until now, that they would only cover bits and pieces of the transmissions required work. A far cry from "This is our 5* coverage and you will never be out of pocket for anything! Drop the car off we handle everything and then you just pick it up when done." They are discourteous and only out to evade their contractual promises.
Both were antagonizing and attempted to lay the blame on me for the hold up. I said "You just told me you would now cover some of the transmission once I paid to have it disassembled so you could decide what you would cover. That makes no sense and should have been made clear by your marketing rep who went over everything with me before I agreed to trust them... I bought the costly policy to avoid out of pocket expenses as there is not a co pay or any other disclosed costs. UNTIL you file a claim, then all of a sudden Delta cherry picks what they will cover in spite of what you were promised upon purchase. Jeff kept saying, "You should have read your contract" I said "I did, three times and so did Volvo. None of us found any discrepancies and now you are fishing for loopholes in your, covers everything, 5* coverage, because it is a big claim?" Then I get buried under another talk-over scripted disclaimer that says nothing.

4/2018: Purchased policy (Diamond Premier). 8/22/2018: Dealership informs me that they have called Delta to submit a claim every day over 5 business days. Delta does not return the calls. I take it upon myself to call Delta to submit the claim. After 33 minutes of being on hold and transferred to multiple people, I finally get a claim person named "Aaron **" on the phone. I connect "Aaron **" with the dealership via 3-way call. Aaron took the information from the dealership and said he would call the dealership back in an hour. This interaction lasted a total of 44 minutes. I got a call from the dealership 2 hours later telling me the claim was denied.
I called Delta to get more information. I spent 15 minutes on hold. I spoke with "John". John told me that the claim was denied because there is exclusion language in the contract that says exclusions "include but are not limited to". "John" was not open to further conversation and he ended the call. The total time of this interaction was 19 minutes. Obviously, "John" did not care about customer service or customer satisfaction. I was beyond frustrated with Delta. I wrote a one star review on ConsumerAffairs.
After further reflection, I decided to call Delta back to see if someone else would be more helpful or if I would be canceling my policy. After a reasonable 2 minute hold, I spoke with "Harry", whose name became "Hector" later in the conversation. Hector was GREAT! He is a shining star at this company. He took the time to listen to me and my frustration. He put me on hold for three minutes. When he returned to the call he said he was authorized to give me a credit that will partially pay the claim. He also gave me the authorization number for the partial claim coverage. If not for "Hector", I would have canceled my policy.
8/23/2018: I received a call from "Hector". He asked me why I wrote a negative review on 8/22/2018. I explained that I wrote the review before I spoke with him. I told him that I would update my review with the positive experience I had with him. Hector asked me to just post a positive review for the company, but I told him that I needed to be honest about my experience. I agreed to update the original review to include my positive interaction and outcome with Hector.
8/24/2018: I went to the Consumer Affairs site to find my original review and update it. My 8/22/2018 review was nowhere to be found. I did receive some satisfaction from Delta, but it took a lot of effort on my part, along with decreased work production at my job. Hector really listened to me. Thank you, Hector... or "Harry". If not for you, I would have canceled my policy.

Updated on 8/29/2019: May 3, 2018 I purchased a Diamond Premier policy with Delta Auto protect. August 17, 2018, I took the car to the dealership for repairs. The dealership contacted Delta Auto Protect to submit a claim. Delta did not return their multiple calls. August 22, 2018 I called Delta Auto Protect. I spent 44 minutes total on the phone speaking to several customer service people and on hold. I was finally able to get a three-way call with Delta and the dealership. During this call, Delta approved the claim and gave an authorization number (**). The amount approved was $891.14.
October 2018, dealership informed me that Delta Auto Protect had not paid the claim; I spoke with customer service and was told to fax the invoice to them; I did so. Thereafter, I was informed the claim would be paid. May 28, 2019, dealership attempted to collect the $891.14 from me when I took my car in for maintenance. I refused to pay the dealership and contacted Delta Auto Protect directly. Over a period of two days, I spent 48 minutes on hold and spoke to "Andrew", "Nicole", "Duane", and "Stan"; Nicole instructed me to fax the invoice to Delta which I did for the second time; Then Duane told me to email the invoice to Delta which I also did. Finally, on the second day I was told that the invoice was valid that that payment would be forthcoming.
June 7, 2019 I contacted the dealership to see if the claim had been paid. It had not but the dealership wanted to give Delta a couple of more days to pay. As of August 29, 2019 the dealership still has not received payment!! I attached a copy of the payment receipt showing I purchased the auto warrant to this review. I also attached a copy of the invoice that notes the preauth from Delta along with the authorization amount and number. I now have no choice but to pay the dealership directly and try to get reimbursed from Delta...HA like that will ever happen.
Original: I purchased an extended auto warranty from Delta Auto Protect in April 2018. The customer service has been horrible. No one was calling my repair shop back with claim information. So, I spent over 45 minutes on hold today to rectify the situation. But today the company denied a claim using a loophole in their contract that I did not pay attention to. The exclusion clause in their contract states "Any of the following components or services, including by not limited to..." My part was excluded because of the "not limited to" portion of the exclusion clause. I point out that the contract includes "Body Electrical", which is exactly my car's issue, but they exclude wiring. The customer service rep told me that since "Body Electrical" does not specify wiring, it is excluded. No wonder the quote I got from this company was 1/2 of what I got from others. I will be canceling my policy, taking the refund and purchasing a policy that actually has benefits.

My extended car warranty saved me a ton of hassle and money. I was about to drive home after a day of work when my engine started steaming. Obviously, something was wrong but I had no idea what it was. I contacted the company and they arranged roadside assistance to come and simply fixing the leak on my coolant container and adding more to replace what leaked. I'm no expert on cars and having my extended warranty company right there to help me right away --otherwise, I'm sure I would have paid exorbitant amounts at a car shop while having no idea that I was being charged a ton! Thank you, extended warranty.

I was provided with the towing services very easily, and also with a rental car agency that could get me back on the road and back to my babies. Thank god for the warranty, thank god for the services they provided to me and made my day that much easier. I couldn't be happier with the services and politeness. Without their speed, and also them being vigilant in providing me in a timely manner the information I needed, my kids might have missed my amazing cooking that night!!

We chose a shop by my house and he arranged for a rental car. He offered to tow it, but it was completely driveable. I just did not run the air, but it was only for 10 minutes. Well, there was some problem with the AC lines. They repaired the car and it was ready a few days later. I paid my deductible when I picked it up and was back to my normal routine. I took my car to the garage confident that I had a warranty company watching my back because I had been paying them ever since I bought a pre-owned vehicle. The dealership told me that my transmission was bad and that they would talk to Delta Auto Protect about the claim. After making the claim, Delta Auto Protect sent out an adjuster to verify the vehicle's needs. 6 days pass after that. I can only call to talk to a receptionist. I've been told multiple times a manager will contact me. I can only leave messages.
In the six business days that have passed, nobody has called me back and vehicle sits at the garage with no work being done. I am without a vehicle and the warranty company I'm paying for refuses to do what they're legally contracted to do. I have called countless times only to be told I can leave a message with a receptionist and that they can do nothing else for me. My garage has tried calling them daily. I have called them daily. My dealership has told me they've never seen any warranty company with such terrible service. I am personally appalled that they have not called me at all. I called about 8 times and waited on hold only to get the receptionist who took my number each time and said I would get a call back shortly as she cannot transfer me to an extension... Very strange. I never received a call back and was worried they are a scam until I actually got through to a representative, Aaron **, who said he would have the bill paid shortly which I highly doubted. They were able to coordinate with the tow company regarding my plan, and my car was towed to a garage near my house. With Delta Auto, I have an affordable warranty that covers expensive repairs and other surprises.
Without this warranty, I would have had to spend a small fortune in repairs. When my car blew a rod, the arranged for a tow, a rental, and the repairs. Once again, my extended warranty coverage saved me a ton of money! Last month, I started my truck after not driving it for some time. I heard a loud ticking noise coming from the driver’s side of the engine. The ticking sound would get louder too, especially when I accelerated quickly or for an extended period of time. When I took my truck in for an estimate, the mechanic started talking “lifters” and “valves” and how expensive the repair job could turn out to be (in excess of $3000, which of course I couldn’t afford).
l asked him if the problem was covered under my extended warranty with Delta, since my truck was already past the manufacturer’s warranty of 36,000 miles. He said it was and he was happy to work with that company. I was so relieved. The repairs were done and I am back on the road with my truck running great. After performing repairs on a customer vehicle more than four months ago I am still waiting for payment. "Waiting" Meaning spending my time on the phone and writing emails attempting to collect payment. Further costing our company money and time. Emails have never once been responded to. Each phone call was received various ways. "Our phones are down. Please give me your information and someone will get back to you." "We are currently updating our system. Please give me your information and someone will get back to you." "There is no one available right now, please give me your information and someone will get back to you."
"Let me transfer you to billing." ...hold music. Dial tone. "Let me transfer you." Answering machine. Each time I was asked for my information and the customer's information the individual on phone asked for different information. Zip codes, Emails, Addresses, phone numbers, etc. Only further wasting my time gathering information they already have in their system, I'm guessing in an effort to make me feel like something is actually being done. Beyond their unwillingness to make good on their agreements, this company provides parts for repair on your vehicle. This would be fine if the parts received were of good quality.
Let me explain, Delta Auto Protect approved control arms on a 2010 GL350 and insisted we use their parts. We had to wait several days for Delta Auto Protect to ship them to us. This doesn't just inconvenience us it inconvenienced my customer. Moving forward once received when attempting to install the control arms were the incorrect dimensions and did not fit in the vehicle. When I called Delta Auto Protect to inform them of the issue the insisted they were correct. We had to send photographs of the control arms partially installed and where it wouldn't align.
Not only did we waste more time we now have a vehicle dead on the rack. Again waiting for them to call back and approve the correct arms, days go by we call and get told to wait for another set being mailed by them. Received second set and one went in but the other again was the incorrect dimensions for the vehicle. I could go on but the main point is the vehicle was here for nearly a month and that claim took almost 6 months to get paid on. I've been writing this while attempting to collect payment for about 30 minutes now. Unsuccessful still. Consumers please do not purchase this warranty. If you are an auto shop do not accept this warranty. They will use your loyalty to your customers and cost you time and money.

Delta Auto Protect is like American Express - you can't leave home without it. It's no different than Mastercard too - there are some things money can buy. For everything else. there's Mastercard. Delta Auto Protect is an extended automobile warranty that's your guardian angel on the road. These days, driving on freeways and streets requires you to be on your guard and completely focused. Cars come now with built-in technologies that give enough help to the driver, but we are all human after all. Sometimes, things spiral out of control and you're stranded. That's where Delta comes in to save the day.
Delta provides you the coverage you need and saves you tons of money in vehicle tolling, repairs and what not. They're exceptional and dependable. They work directly with service providers to make sure you're never left without help. It's affordable and help is only a phone call away. Their official website is quite helpful to get you well acquainted with their services and answer all your questions.
I've used it personally a few times on the road. Once I was stranded on the freeway driving into Orange County from San Diego. I had pulled over on the side of the freeway and just gave Delta a call. Within 30 minutes or so, I was able to get my car towed to a car service station close by. The deductible was just $50 and I must say it's even better than going for the AAA membership. Simply put, you need it because while there's a cost to the coverage, it's better than paying insane amounts when you're left in a rut. Give Delta a shot and see how much you end up saving. You'll surely be impressed.

I brought my car into the shop and was soon told I had a transmission issue. The dealer tried to contact Delta with no luck. I tried to call Delta, after a 20 minute hold I was told someone would call me. That was Monday morning. I tried again in the afternoon after confirming Delta had not called my dealership. I spoke to another person after a 20 minute wait who said he would call the mechanic as soon as we hung up and then return my call. That was a Mr **! Monday evening still no call to me or dealership. Tues was the same exact scenario. Wait 20 minutes on hold, a promise to call the dealership and a promise to update me.
One exception, they said Mr ** was in contact with my dealership and working out the issue. My dealership denied that. Wednesday, day 3 of the saga. I call at 0915 in the morning. Told someone would call me back. I asked for a supervisor/manager. I was told they were not ready yet as they were settling in for the day. They open at 0900. It was 915 when I called WTF. My boss doesn’t give me time to “settle in” after we are supposed to be open for business. I asked how to get a refund. You will be surprised by the answer. “You will have to speak to claims and they are settling in so they will have to call you back.” UNBELIEVABLE. Updated on 07/28/2018: So this is an update on my experience. It has been a couple of more phone calls and another broken promise. It is now Friday evening (I have been calling and trying to work with Delta since Sunday). I was told Delta was going to send an adjuster to my repair station today by close of business. I called the shop and they stated the adjuster said maybe today or Monday. Cause you realize the 24/7 only applies to the folks who are trying to sell you a product. I called my repair station again in late afternoon and no one showed up. SHOCKER. When I spoke to Aaron this morning trying to get an update he asked me to remove my negative reviews.
I was so angry, how can I remove my review when my car is still not being fixed. He tried to tell me they were working on it but you see it is ow at least another 2 days before anyone even looks at my car never mind fix it. I have yet to receive a call from my “representative” from Delta even though I have left 3 messages and 2 emails to Jeffery **. I was actually told he was busy. Ok I’m busy tooo but I return calls. I will continue to supply a negative review as long as my car is in the shop which at this rate will be over a week by the time someone may look at it next week.
As I have not received any satisfaction or even a return phone call I have started to relay my story to my attorney. I will have to seek reimbursement of my repair bill and the return of the remainder of my contract. After the reviews that I read that led me to Delta, I cannot believe those reviews can be true. Has to be the worst customer service in recorded history. NO return calls, no return emails and lies leads to terrible service and the terrible reviews.
Updated on 08/09/2018: So after over 2 weeks of lies and broken promises, my car was finally returned to me. I called DAP every day for over 2 weeks and was promised that “someone will call you." They called me 2 times in the 2 weeks. The first time was after over a week of calling they agreed that my car had a covered claim. The 2nd time they called, was on day 17 when they finally paid the repair shop. When I would call, I get the receptionist who always took my name, number and promised to have someone call me back. One time I asked to speak to someone in claims, they said they weren’t available as they were “setting up." I asked what time they start working and was told 9 am. It was 915 when I asked this question.
While calling 2 or 3 times a day looking for payment to the repair shop, I asked to speak to someone in finance. It was 930 in the morning on day 16. I was told that the older woman who works in finance works from 11-4 and she is the only employee. "Are you kidding me" was the only response I could come up with. How does this company have only 1 person who can pay a claim. OMG, WOW. So when they finally decided to pay my repair shop, I was truly amazed. Not only did they finally pay MOST of the bill they had the nerve to ask me to withdraw my negative review. I had not even picked up my car and they are asking me to remove my comments. WOW that takes a special person to ask that question.
To add insult to injury, this employee stated that if I had another incident they would place me on a “priority” to make sure I am taken care right away. Seriously, should have done that from the beginning. After over 2 weeks of dealing with the incompetent employees of DAP my saga is almost over. I have asked for my policy to cancelled/refunded. I never want to have to deal with this terrible company. The employee who lied to me the most was Aaron **. He promised numerous calls and gave me his “extension” with promises to call me. YEAH that only happened 2 times as noted above. This is a follow up from my experience as this saga has progressed over 2 weeks. This is a terrible company. DO NOT USE THEM.

Whenever my car lets me down I know that Delta Auto Protect is there for me. With my busy life juggling work and kids, the last thing I need is my car to break down. Thankfully I always know Delta Auto Protect will be there for me when I need them. Their customer service is always so friendly and there for me 24 hours a day. A couple of weeks ago when my car broke down they had my car towed and a rental car ready so that I could continue with my life without having to disrupt the flow of my day. My car was also repaired quickly and I was back on the road in no time. All I had to do was pay my deductible which left my pockets happy and not in a bind. I would highly recommend Delta Auto Protect to everyone to give them peace of mind.

My wife Lucy was always the worrier in the family. When she heard about extended warranties she pressured me to buy one for her Honda Civic. I bought her a policy to reassure her even though I didn't think we needed one. But she turned out to be right when just five months later the timing belt snapped and she broke down on the side of the road. Nothing like that had ever happened to her before and she was hysterical, but after contacting Delta, I think she felt much better. They worked with her to get a tow truck right out with her, got her a loaner car, and took care of the repair on her Civic. After reading these other reviews, it seems like I, like many other reviewers, was a bit hesitant about getting an extended warranty, because it just didn't seem necessary. But I'm so happy I got it because it quickly became necessary. My transmission went out, which isn't covered by my insurance, and I knew I wouldn't have enough money to get it fixed. I was happy to be able to use my warranty to offset the ridiculous cost of the transmission repair. I was able to get it fixed from a superb garage in my area and did not have to miss work in the process. Overall the best purchase I've made.

Having an extended warranty keeps me feeling safe on the road. I have the comfort in knowing that if my car breaks down beyond the normal wear and tear of everyday use I'll be covered and safe. The benefits of being able to call a tow truck, book a rental car, or have someone bring me gas if my car runs out makes the warranty worth it for me. I've already used these services a few times. It is surprisingly hassle-free. Even more than that, I don't panic with unexpected repairs. I know that the coverage my warranty provides will always allow me to get my car repaired for a reasonable, affordable rate. I can recommend this warranty to anyone who uses their car a lot and feels like they need extra coverage just in case something happens. It's a smart investment.

Please do not fall for the great service you received when purchasing. You would regret it. I was leaving work for my daughter's birthday party, and my brakes malfunctioned, almost hurling me into a vehicle in front of me. I quickly parked the car, nervous to move it another inch. While on the more affordable end, the coverage was definitely comprehensive enough. A couple months later, I discovered that my car had a bad rear differential, and I needed it taken care of right away. In May 2018 I purchased a warranty from Josh at Delta Auto Protect for a used car. He was friendly and then 2 months later when the vehicle needed repair. It was brought to a Nissan dealer and they declined payment after initially approving it on 6/8. My service rep contacted the claims department @ 10;30 am on and they stated "we are busy we will take the account ESN#" and call you back. At 2:30 pm they never called her back. When I called I asked to speak to a supervisor who was extremely short and rude. I explained my partner and I were sharing cars and I needed a rental so I could get to my job. I am essential personnel. He grew even more frustrated with routine and reasonable questions. While he told me to please hold. This rep in claims began talking to his co-worker and said "Jesus this guy is a big **." I was then hung up on.
When I called back to express my dismay I was referred to as "man" then I was told they would escalate. After explaining the circumstances not 5 minutes later the dealership called me and was denying payment when on 6/8 one component was approved. Then for another component they tried to negotiate with Nissan for their price for a wheel bearing. When Nissan would not negotiate they stated they would ship and "guarantee" their own parts.
Under the National Average most legitimate warranty companies and dealerships use (ALL DATA TIME). NOT Delta. They stated our records suggest this will only take 1.7 hours not the (ALL DATA TIME) of 3 hours. Now I am stuck with a diagnostic fee of $150.00 1.3 hours of labor and a rental. I have lost time at work. I was humiliated in front of the Nissan dealership staff. "My warranty comes with rental coverage." This is a safety issue. They told the dealership "have him call us so you don't have to be the bad guy."
It's now Thursday. The part has NOT come yet. Aaron the supervisor stated he would monitor this claim. He has yet to return my call or email and my car remains to date unrepaired. I feel there is too much of a Nexus from the rude encounters the disparaging comments, being hung up on. This entire company is a sham and unprofessional. I will be contact the PA Attorney General along with the Massachusetts Attorney General so to petition that Delta will no longer be permitted to sell to Massachusetts consumers. I found it necessary to get an extended warranty. I was happy to get a deal from Delta on my policy. After doing a lot of research, I found that they offered me the most cost-effective, but comprehensive option. I wanted a top-class car, but couldn't fathom having to pay full price for repairs. As a middle school teacher, I was fortunate to find this company. Recently, I had an issue with the car's electrical system. The alternator was malfunctioning and needed to be completely replaced. So in short, this warranty really saved my pockets.

The big picture: Beware of this company. Two hours after I stupidly agreed to purchase an extended warranty, I decided to cancel. They claim buyers have a “30 Day Money Back Guarantee – No questions Asked.” I didn’t wait even one day before I began asking for a refund. It took weeks, countless phone calls, many emails, complaints to third parties to get it. When they finally agreed to return my money, they tried to demand that in return I sign a release which included a Non-disclosure agreement and agreement to remove any negative reviews (which I had not written, as of then). I would have to delete any negative information about them, wait for 60 days for them to make sure that I had done so and then they would return my money.
Also, if in the future I spoke to anyone about them I would owe them $1,500 plus attorney fees. Read the countless reviews of them online and notice that a large percentage of them say “Customer increased rating by 3 Stars” “4 Stars”. Then read the “positive reviews”; I am reading a five-star review now that starts in all caps “Crooks and Scammers” and ends (also in all caps) “Do not work with these people.” One such review is strange. There are too many about this company for it to be an anomaly. I assume they mistakenly signed the release and were forced to change their rating to get their money. I did not.
Now for the details: On June 22, 2018 I spoke on the phone with a sales rep from Delta Auto Protect. (as an aside they bill your credit card as ‘Delta Auto Parts’ not ‘Protect’- not sure if that means anything or not). They told me that they could cover my car with an extended warranty for $2,200, but if I agreed during the call they would lower the price to $1,500 and waive the deductible, but I would have to act immediately. I was assured by their website that I could cancel for any reason, no questions asked, and get a full refund anytime in the first 30 days.
I stupidly agreed and gave them my debit card for processing. Within two hours I regretted my decision and tried to call them. It was after business hours, so I wrote them an email asking to cancel and asking for a full refund. I sent that email that evening and again on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday morning June 25, 2018 I telephoned and spoke with Aaron ** and told him I wanted to cancel. He spent a lot of time trying to talk me out of it and asking a lot of question about why I wanted to cancel. I stayed calm and polite and just kept repeating that I wanted to cancel. He finally agreed and said he would send an email confirmation.
Within an hour he sent me a long list of reviews praising his company. There was no mention of cancellation. I wrote back asking to cancel. He wrote back offering to increase the cancellation period to 60 days. I wrote back demanding to cancel. After hours past I repeated my request. He wrote back saying I would get an email about the cancellation. Thereafter I got an email asking that I sign a release. I read the release and it contained a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) wherein I promised to pay them $1,500 plus atty fees if disused my experiences with anybody. It also gave them 60 days to return my money. I wrote back that 60 days was unreasonable as was signing away my free speech rights. A later release sent days later added a requirement that I remove any and all negative reviews on comments online. It gave them 60 days to check if I had reviewed them before they would refund my money.
I asked if they had any authority to make such demands. Please remember that I have never been given a contract as I attempted to cancel within hours of agreeing and I only agreed because I was assured I could cancel without questions or hassle. I demanded that they cancel without my signing this release. I did offer to sign a release that I would not make a claim under the warranty without those demands. I got a voicemail the following morning from Aaron ** saying the contract had been cancelled and my funds would be in my account in 2-3 days, depending upon my bank's actions. There was no mention of the release.
A week later when the funds had not been returned. I emailed Aaron ** and demanded my funds. He wrote back that I needed to sign the release, thereby admitting that his prior voicemail was untrue - the contract had not been cancelled and the refund had not been issued. I refused to sign and filed complaints with the BBB and my bank. I made it clear that I wanted my money and that I would not waive my free speech rights in order to get it. Finally, I did get a refund, but this is clearly not a no questions asked refund. I had to fight and endure endless frustration to get it. If they will fight a full refund request made within hours of the purchase, I believe those other reviews which detail how they fight paying claims. In case some might wonder if I can prove these facts. I have every email, voicemail recording, requested release and other documents to establish each of my claims.

For me, it's an extra source of protection that reassures me that if something ever goes wrong, that I'll be covered and have my car problems taken care of. I honestly don't know that much about vehicles and probably spend more time at a garage than an average person, so anything that'll help save me money in that regard is well worth it for me. I feel great about it, from when I purchased it to when I first used it.
The process was really easy and even the guys at the garage I always go to were pleased to work with Delta Auto Protect. I was able to get the alternator on my car repaired for a great deal. I feel secure knowing that this company has such a good reputation and that I have such great coverage with them, which makes me feel like I'm well protected and taken care of.

Having an extended warranty for my recent car purchase really gives me the peace of mind I've always needed. I've had a history of driving older vehicles and never looked forward to the inconvenient breakdown, especially if it was something as serious as a transmission or engine repair. I never want to be in the position again. Those can be incredibly costly and I drive my vehicle a lot. The added roadside assistance also brings a tremendous amount of comfort. With my older vehicles issues would arise at any time, day or night, on the highways or city streets and it was always scary not knowing how I'd get the car towed or a tire replaced in the middle of the hustle and bustle, rain or heat. Fortunately, I've been able to guard myself against the unknowns. If anything ever does arise, I'm confident my extended warranty will cover me.

Delta offered me great coverage options to consider when I was looking into buying an extended warranty. I was surprised that you can buy one for your vehicle at any time, even for a used vehicle, and was very excited that I could have roadside assistance, locksmith services and a wide range of repairs done on my car for minimal or no cost to myself with this plan. I purchased mine specifically for the peace of mind it offers when it comes to repair costs, but I'm sure these other services will come in handy as well.

An extended warranty on a vehicle is that one thing that most car buyers step over. I was almost one of those people. I kept asking myself “Is it worth it?” “What comes with it?” “Will the time ever come that I need it,” as I was doing research. I found a study shows that 55% of people never have to use their extended warranty, but what if you do, I asked myself. What if I end up in the 45th percentile. If I'm in the 45th percentile, I will have no worries of how my car problems will be repaired and paid for. I decided that I wanted to be in the 45th percentile. The pros far outweighed the cons of purchasing a warranty, so I decided to give it a try. I purchased my warranty from this company, and although I have not yet had to use it, I feel well prepared.

I consider this warranty offer a good value. This is coming from someone who did his research on the extended warranty market. Having had expensive visits at front-end shops in the past, I now enjoy peace of mind knowing that I have basically taken care of the cost of major repairs for the next few years. Even if my brakes fail, I still have only paid one bill.

PROS - specific to your needs, lesser mileage restrictions, 24 hour roadside assistance, covers costly repairs. CONS - gambling with cost. When purchasing my new vehicle this year my main concern was reliability and how long I would be able to keep it. Having an extended warranty basically allowed me to have the car I wanted and ensure that if any major repairs were to be had such as transmission, engine or systematically I would be covered. It's tailored specifically to meet needs of mine that basic car warranties do not.
Having an extended warranty I'm offered a greater variety of products and services that fit my specific needs as well as coverage for more mileage and time than original warranties offer. The only con I found is you are taking a gamble with the cost. You may never need the coverage, but chances are if you plan on keeping your car you will so I think ultimately it is worth it to get it. It does not cover repairs from car crashes however in the grand scheme of things it's completely worth it.

You call in and they tell you they will help you right away and get you right with a manager and then they send you to a voicemail that no one will respond to. If you look at all of their other reviews on other sites you will see that they never pay their authorized claims. Recently, I had to drop off my daughter to college all the way from Miami to Boston and back. It was a week-long trip that would essentially be a memorable moment in all of our lives, especially my daughter’s. My husband decided to invest in an extended warranty and I am so blessed that he did. It’s the little things like problems with the breaks or tires that can ruin a trip. As the trip was extensive, it was too much of a risk to not buy the warranty. In one occasion, my husband happened to lock his keys inside the car when we were at a rest stop in New York. We were able to utilize the emergency locksmith services coverage in our plan. It really did make our road trip in dropping off our daughter a memorable and safe moment.

I purchased an extended warranty after learning that they are much more comprehensive than the normal warranty offered by my vehicle manufacturer. I was surprised to find out that the Delta plan I purchased covered both engine and transmission fixes, which can be a very burdensome cost to drivers. I've found my extended warranty to provide great benefits to me. I was able to cancel my AAA because my warranty also offered provisions for roadside assistance and towing. I haven't had to get any damage to my car repaired yet, but in case of any damaged components or faults that arises I will be able to use my warranty to partially cover any repairs. Having a safeguard any unforeseen damages and defects is definitely reassuring and useful. I can't imagine it not being worth the money. I am a satisfied customer.

It was easy to find a coverage plan that fit my needs. I decided to call in shortly after visiting their website.
From the first time I spoke to Delta reps, to the most recent time, I found that Delta has exceptionally supportive and friendly representatives that understand customer's needs. They always help their clients to understand the available coverage options and take time to explain the differences between each plan they provide. Also, I'm sure Delta is so highly rated because of their affordable plans. I caught them during a sale, but their pricing is highly competitive. Ever hear the reference “You don’t know a good thing until it’s gone”? That reference doesn’t apply better than to living without an extended warranty on your vehicle. I was once a proud owner of a 2014 Mercedes C-Class. I was absolutely in love with the car. The best vehicle I’ve probably ever driven. Like most people, I was skeptical about the dealership and the people who sold me the car in regards to picking up the extended warranty option. At the time, I decided to decline. Little did I know that I was making a HUGE mistake. Within months, I started having trouble with the transmission and engine. Due to newer cars being more inclined to rely on electrical and computerized systems, my car was acting up in ways that I could not predict nor have the financial means to resolve. Unfortunately, I was forced to give the car up.
Ever since, I have recommended to anyone that would listen that getting an extended warranty on your car is an absolute must. I now drive a Lexus IS250 and the first thing I did after getting my car, was purchase an extended warranty. I had done extensive research and found the best deal with Delta Auto Protect. Buying an extended warranty is pretty scary I’ll tell you that! I can remember being offered one by my local dealership and being very weary of the product. Mostly due to bad reviews I read and it turning out to not great, and although people tend to exaggerate everything, they made great points! One being that the total cost of yearly coverage added to the prices of the small chance that something does happen are much larger than “just” getting something fixed. However, if you are using a used car, then you know that something “big” or “terrible” doesn’t need to happen to your car for it to just stop working. Your brakes could be shot at any moment!
So although I couldn't give in to buying one at the dealership, I did some research and got one instead from Delta, partially because their prices and coverage options were not so bad in my book. Also because my used car has endless problems that I’d rather only have to pay at half the price with complete and year round coverage!

Like most people I was hesitant about paying for an extended warranty, but the peace of mind I have gotten has been well worth the money spent. When I lock my keys in the car or run out of gas, the extended warranty has me covered. That has happened more times than I would like to admit. Without the warranty I would have been stuck in a situation no single mother ever wishes to find herself in. The warranty covers the unexpected issues as well such as engines and transmission issues. I cannot always be prepared for what life throws at me, but having this warranty does give me quite a few less things to worry about. Knowing that my transportation isn't in jeopardy from circumstances out of my control, and I have a helping hand if my battery ever goes dead is really comforting. I was told I could cancel it when I wanted to. I figured I would go ahead and buy it. I work as a delivery driver so my car blows a lot of mileage and wear. There was an occasion I was able to use my extended warranty that ultimately saved me.
I know nothing about cars other than driving it so when my car randomly decided to shake uncontrollably then stop on me in the middle of the road and I panicked. I am so happy I decided to get it and I recommend the purchase to anyone.

The process could not have been more seamless. My car was towed to a nearby dealership. I paid nothing out of pocket that day and left with a courtesy loaner vehicle. The dealership contacted me the next day to tell me what the issue was (a fuse in the engine harness) and that it would be repaired within 2 days. In the past I always bought new cars because I wanted the sweet warranties from the manufacturer and dealer, but this time I decided to go with a used car so I wouldn't have a car payment. The extra money I saved allowed me to invest in a warranty.
I kept hearing my Dad's voice in my head saying, not to buy extra warranties, saying they were a waste of money. So, I did my own research. I decided to buy a warranty from Delta Auto Protect. I wanted to make sure if my transmission or motor needed to be repaired or replaced, it would be covered. I never know how much money I will earn month to month, so I can't afford big financial surprises. The plan I decided on seemed comprehensive enough. Delta Auto Protect is a ripoff. My auto repair shop completed repairs on 05/02/2018 after obtaining authorization from Delta Auto. They are waiting on payment from Delta Auto protect for 1.5 month now. They were calling them every day for a month and each time were told that financial will call the shop in couple of days and pay with corporate credit card. After month of calling they called me and told they can't collect on approved case and that I have to pay to the body shop money that Delta Auto Protect owed them. As a favor I asked them for more time while I myself will try to collect from the company.
Since then I called Delta Auto on 06/06/2018 and 06/12/2018 and talked to Hector. Both times he called financials and told me that Margaret from financials will call body shop and submit a payment. Never happened. When I asked to talked with Margaret myself I was told that I cannot talk to her. 06/18/2018 called again and talked to Carla. Asked her to talk to the supervisor and she told me that supervisor is not available. Told her that I will complain with BBB, ConsumerAffairs, attorney general of Philadelphia and will file the lawsuit in small claim court. She told me that she put notice on file that Financials have to pay body shop and matter is urgent. Bottom line customer service give you the runaround with lied to me and auto repair company.

I purchased 2 warranty policies from this company in April/May of 2017. 1 Policy - (Diamond Premier) was for $1700 and the 2nd (Diamond Plus) was for $1200. What I thought was a great idea to have purchased turned into a HUGE mistake! At first the sales rep who helped me was very pleasant, his name was Shaun **, but of course he is. He sold me 2 policies. It wasn't until late November...maybe early December when I had to use one of the policies, I had my jeep towed to the local dealership, who advised that I need to have my starter and some wiring thermostat replaced. Sounds easy right. Well they said the dealership was charging too much for the replacement parts so I said fine it was only about a $30.00 difference and I would pay the difference. No biggie. So the Dealership had my car ready in about 2 days. I picked up my car, paid the difference and went on without any worries.
Well it wasn't until the service manager at the dealership started calling me about a week later because Delta Auto never paid them the bill. After hours and hours on hold and many calls they finally made a partial payment on the bill that was due to the dealership. Why they didn't pay the bill in full I have no idea because it wasn't like there was some huge bill, it was less than $700.00. It took them almost 2 months to pay the bill in full, not to mention several calls from the dealership as well as myself to resolve it. In fact the Dealership was so upset with the least of professionalism. They told me that they will never work with Delta for warranty again so if I needed my car worked on it would have to come out of my pocket. Either way... It was settled. Yes, after many many calls of me complaining and at one point this whole situation had me in tears.
So now fast forward to about 3 weeks almost a month ago, I took my car in for an oil change and my mechanic said that I need my radiator replaced. Perfect, no worries right. A radiator is under warranty. So I called in to Delta to file a claim... Yes, almost an hour on hold, the girl that answered asked if she could take a message as she is only helping with overflow calls. I said No problem, left a message, waited several days to no surprise, I had to call again and wait another 45 minutes. This a normal wait time that I have endured EVERY time I call.
I finally get through to someone. His name is Aaron ** (The same man that helped me resolve the dealership dispute months ago), as he and I start speaking, he tells me that I did not have an active policy and that I called in to cancel it in January. News to me?? I never did. He then proceeds to tell me that he will need to review this with management and that he would call me back in 24-48 hours. He never called. So I call again, wait for 45 minutes if not longer and he gets on the phone to apologize for not calling back but he was very busy. I still am disputing the fact that I did not cancel the policy, if fact if I did, where's the cancellation notice that I should have signed?? They don't have one because I didn't cancel.
Aaron then proceeds to tell me that he needs to speak with the IT department to review my conversation where I canceled the policy and he would call me back in 24-48 hours. LIES, LIES and more LIES!! He never called me back, so today I called again to speak to a man by the name of Hector (funny thing is I am almost 99.9% positive it was Aaron **).
Anyways, Hector will not transfer me to Aaron and then proceeds to pretty much tell me I am a Liar, that I can canceled the policy and that I refused to sign the cancellation agreement back in January. Does this even make sense?? And that I have a check in route that was issued on June 13th 2018. He then tries to give me a tracking number of the check, but while I am on the phone l try to track the envelope and there is no tracking. The label was created but it had no additional information. Who knows if it is even mine? At this point I absolutely LOSE IT! I told them they are scammers and frauds and this was not right in any way shape or form! I wish I would have researched warranty companies before going with Delta. It has been nothing but a waste of time and a HUGE waste of money!

Peace of mind can come in many forms. Mine comes in the form of an extended warranty on my beloved truck. It has offered me defense against avoiding a crisis in my budget and avoiding inconvenience. Additionally, it has made it much easier for me to prevent bigger malfunctions in my car later on because I'm able to fix the little things immediately. For example, once I noticed that my transmission was giving trouble, I was able to go to a local garage right away and have someone repair it immediately, before I needed to even think about replacing it. This cost was covered by my warranty.
When my steering wheel was loose, I was able to get it fixed right away. In another instance, I found myself out of gas at 5 AM on a rainy morning. There was no gas station in site. Luckily, I was able to have someone dispatched locally to fill up my truck, and I was on my way. This service too was covered by my warranty. When used as a tool of prevention, an extended warranty can make the “We’ve got to get this fixed” part much easier to deal with.

As a shop we expected our experience to be average as with most extended warranties. This place however, is pathetic. I've called them over 19 times in the last 2.5 WEEKS! We're still trying to get payment from these fools regarding repairs for a client vehicle. Had we known they were a shady company we'd have made our client pay his bill IN FULL and make him deal with the idiots he bought from. I've never had such a bad experience. I've called and had to leave messages with a "receptionist" on several occasions only to never be called back. Keep calling, and they change the rules. I had been given 3 different fax numbers over the course of these 2.5 weeks, and yet none of them were "allegedly" received, (I sent for CarMax payment last night and got my credit card authorization this morning if that tells you anything on how most normal extended warranties operate).
Then I was given an email to send for payment, so I did, 48 hours later, no payment. Then I call 3x trying to speak to a manager. The manager was a little snot on the phone to me. I'm already pissed, so deescalation is clearly not in his training. He should get some if he's going to work for a shady place like this. So manager tells me they must not have received the email since I didn't put the last 6 of the vin in the subject line. No, I put the auth #, because nobody told me to put the last 6 of the vin in the subject line when they gave me the email.
So I did, and here we are 48 hours later, I call because I still haven't got any payment or communication from them. I get someone who said, "Well yes I see you spoke with my manager, and let me get you over to the payments department." I get transferred to a FRIGGIN' VOICEMAIL!?!? No. I left them a scathing message because I shouldn't have to work this hard to get money out of a company who said they'll pay X amount of the repairs. I let them know on this message I planned on reviewing them here on Consumer Affairs. People need to know how awful this place is.
If you're a shop and your customer has this crap company for their warranty I HIGHLY suggest you either turn them out, or get the total bill paid in full from the client, and force this nightmare of getting payment on them (the client). I don't have time to be chasing down these scammers for money. My claim was submitted on May 29th, started requesting payment on May 31st. It's now June 15th. No payment, countless messages, calls, un-returned calls, emails, faxes, and utter frustration. Run. Find a different warranty company if you're looking to buy. If you're a shop, use extreme caution. As a repair shop won't be honoring this warranty in the future. It's not worth the hassles.

Helped saved me from having to pay for a new transmission. My original warranty expired due to me being over the mileage. As it was expiring, I decided to add the extended warranty which went into right when my car reached its thousandth mile. My car literally rode until the thousandth mile and got to a point where it wouldn't run over 60 mph before it completely stopped running. Repairing my transmission would've cost me thousands. With this warranty, it was covered, and I was responsible only for a small deductible! Had I continued to try to drive on it, I would've definitely needed a new warranty.

Called this agency on Monday morning for a tow (covered in policy) to go to a Dealer for repair. They did not ever return the call. I had the vehicle towed on my own and when I call Delta back they said, "Sorry, but Mondays are busy for us). What a lame excuse. I followed the tow truck to the dealership with my Delta Auto Protect plan in hand to help expedite my claim once they finished their estimate.
The estimate was completed Monday and filed by the dealership directly to Delta Auto... It's finally Thursday and guess what... nothing is covered. The transmission is the issue, Delta denied the entire claim despite the policy. Policy states Diamond Premier Coverage (2) Transmission, etc. Dealership told them what was wrong... Delta still denied claim. This policy is not worth the paper it's printed on. I would not recommend this policy for anyone for any reason.

I have had a pleasant experience with my extended warranty. We ran out of gas on family trip. I wasn't paying attention and then it just happened. I got someone on the phone very quick, didn't have to wait long. The rep confirmed with me that I all costs would be covered if I got someone dispatched from a local garage to bring me gas. The person came out in just about 30 minutes. They were able to coordinate with Delta about the claims process, and I was just able to jump in my car and continue my trip. The warranty really saved us a heap of trouble. I know roadside assistance can cost a bunch. I was also very happy with their customer service. Over the phone and in-person was A+. I'm glad I was able to use the services in my warranty, and would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

So happy that I aware of many things that could possibly go wrong on my vehicles. My paranoia along with the stellar sales guy I spoke to is what pushed me to make this purchase. I recently bought my daughter a small car and I wanted her to be able to keep her car for the duration of her college career. I did not want her to have to worry about calling me states away when she has an issue with her car. Last week, I was so relieved that she was able to use the towing service when she got a flat tire on the other side of campus. It feels great knowing my daughter is able to handle any issues she has with her car. I want her to feel independent. Plus, the warranty will definitely save us some cash in the long run. Great peace of mind for sure.

I believe that an extended auto warranty is very useful. Anything that can happen, will happen according to Murphy's Law. As a person who drives an hour and a half to work every week, wear and tear on my truck is a big factor when it comes to my driving. I'm glad I found an extended warranty plan that considers that. Also, if my truck were to break down, I know that it has me covered. Also, if my rental were to break down, I know that it has me covered as well. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Everyone who drives, should seriously check into getting extended warranties on their vehicles. Besides, nobody wants to walk to work do they?

Prior to actually purchasing a used 2015 Cadillac I started shopping around with different extended service companies and found Delta Auto Protect to be by far the best bang for the money spent, for a 5 year/100,000 mile policy. Now prior to purchasing the policy I had read some of the neg comments posted (very subjective) and people need to understand that regardless of the company that has the coverage on your car, there's always going to be items that are not covered along with the use of specific parts etc, which is normal with any type of coverage.
Long story short, after reviewing all my options respective of coverage vs price I contacted Delta Auto sales and purchased the policy with the intent to send Delta Auto the car information once the purchase was finalized. However, my circumstances changed with the car and I did not need an extended policy and decided that my best option was to just cancel my policy. After several phone calls to Delta Auto Protect and everyone that I spoke with was very pleasant and cordial, I was directed to Aaron Lynch, who without question, was sorry to have me leave, but understood my situation and refunded my payment. In the future when and if I ever finalize on a vehicle, Delta Auto Protect will be my choice and although my experience was short, it was positive.

Fact- My Cadillac has been at the dealer since June 5. Today is June 11. My car is not fixed for the covered parts. I have the Diamond Premier Plan. The most coverage for my Cadillac. Item one is the AC motor. Today it was just under review. Why does a covered part need to be under review? This part was finally approved today. But we are not getting the Cadillac part. (My car is still at the dealer) Delta is shipping an after marker AC motor to the dealership. My window motor is another covered item. Cadillac states that this is a pre-existing condition. How is that even possible?
I have made about 6 phone calls today to Delta. I have been transferred without my permission, and put on hold for almost 2 hours. My service adviser Craig tells me that he has been placed on hold for over 1 hour. They did not call him back last week as they stated they would. I am still without a car and have to depend on other transportation. Craig says that he has never experienced this type of customer service in his 22 years of working for Cadillac. This is truly upsetting to me and I had to apologize to him, while we were both on hold. Still waiting on a call back. I will have to contact Charles Sureya.

Having an extended warranty has definitely given me some added comfort when I'm out on the road. I drive a lot and the wear & tear on my car is horrible. I hate holding off on repairs because I know that continuing to drive a car with worn-down parts only makes it worse and sets you up for failure. My extended warranty allows me to get repairs as needed, and afford any unexpected damage that occurs. I purchased this warranty after the warranty on my Chevy expired about a year ago, but if I ever get a new car, I would get one immediately. The savings are substantial.

Delta Auto Protect is probably the best company I've purchased an extended warranty from. I've gone through a lot of vehicles because I have to drive extensively for work, and with each new vehicle I got, I decided to try a new company. I never found one I was happy with until Delta. After having countless issues with claims not being processed timely, or being promised a call back or even a reimbursement, I was happy to find that the customer service at Delta was nothing like that. Their customer service representatives are very kind and pleasant. They are attentive, and they really do call you back when they say they will.
The coverage options are pretty good. I was able to choose a plan that was very affordable and offered the complete safety I need for my vehicle. I've never had to pay the complete cost for any repair I've done so far (there has been a lot these past 6 months). I definitely recommend Delta to anyone looking for a dependable extended warranty company.

Extended Warranty, who needs it, right? Wrong. It may seem unnecessary now, but it will keep a minor incident from turning into a disaster. You have insurance to protect you in case of a car wreck, but how often are you in a car wreck? Cars break down all the time, no matter the make, model or maintenance, even my well-kept Jeep. Things happen and people make mistakes, fluid runs low, engines run hot, hoses bust, batteries die, etc. Don't make the mistake of skipping out on extended warranty. You may think you'll regret paying a little bit more up front, but I guarantee you that you'll regret not having it when you're like me, stuck on the side of the road with a blown head gasket! Glad I made the purchase.

The extended warranty itself has been effective in helping me circumvent the big expense that comes with car repairs. My Hyundai has been treated to several repairs since I've been a Delta customer, including a minor repair to a transmission leak and a more major repair to its suspension. I saw recent BBB and YELP reviews online about Delta Auto Protect not answering calls or paying claims and wondered if that was true in light of the fact that I was planning on putting my car in the shop for what would be covered expenses under my warranty. It's unfortunately that I can now verify that the negative experiences documented on the negative review below are in fact true. This company only seems intent on scamming their customers. Stay far, far away from them if you are looking for a car warranty unless you consider throwing money into the trash can a productive use of your money.
While my past experience (purchased my warranty in 2015) with them was painfully tenuous at best, I had not experienced any of what these negative reviews spoke of until this past month (May 2018). If you are considering doing business with this company, save your time, money, and energy and look elsewhere for a more reputable company.
Problem: During the week of 5-14-18, I placed a call to Delta Auto Protect to inquire about coverage for work on my car that I was planning to take to the shop for repair. When I called, I could not reach Aaron **, Ryan **, Jesse ** or any of the managers or representatives I've dealt with in the past. Instead I got what appeared to be an answering service. The lady took my information down and told me someone would call me back. However, no one actually ever called me back. I took my car to the shop for repair on Monday 5-21-18. While my car was at the shop, they contacted Delta Auto Protect to discuss covered claims with them for four control arms for my tires and a seat belt retractor that needed to be replaced. Due to the amount of the repair (approximately $2,500), Delta Auto Protect would normally send an inspector out to the repair facility to approve the repair work.
When my service facility called Delta Auto Protect, much like my call the week before, they were told they would someone would call them back. Service requests are normally handled same day or the next day at the latest based on my prior experience with this warranty company. However, it has now been 3 weeks since I called and 2 weeks since my repair facility called and no one has returned my call or my repair facility calls for service work authorization.
Not only have they not returned any calls, but on Wednesday 5-30-18 when I called again and asked to speak to someone in management concerning my service request, the same lady who took a message was rude to me and said someone would call me back and then hung up the phone on me. I paid almost $4,000 for this 5 year warranty in 2015 and now I can't seem to get Delta Auto to fulfill it's service responsibilities on my warranty contract. Based on complaints at this BBB site and other consumer complaint sites online, this seems to be the prevailing experience of others with Delta Auto Protect. Desired Resolution: I would like a Refund. Desired Outcome: I would like my repair work authorized and paid for by Delta Auto Protect. Otherwise, they should refund the $3,800 I paid for my Diamond Premier Warranty I purchased from them.

I am writing this in response to the resolution that I had achieved with this company. I finally got a call back after much effort, multiple faxes and calls by a supervisor with authority to pay my claim by corporate credit card, like most other extended warranty companies do usually the same day or the next. I must say it was an experience I would not want to repeat in the future. I will give this company another chance because everyone must strive for quality everyday and try to improve in whatever needs to be improved upon. The representative that contacted me was very professional and courteous. The way you would expect it to be when you call in to a company such as this. I am satisfied with the outcome and will hope to experience that same satisfaction the next time.

I am a dealership level service writer with over 20 years of experience with several different manufacturers that has dealt with many different extended warranty companies and this company is unbelievable! I wish that I had done my research before purchasing a contract with this company for my used vehicle I purchased that was out of factory warranty.
Being an experienced auto service person, I know that you need to have protection for your used vehicle. What I did not realize is how hard it would be to first get a repair approved then get paid for the authorized repair. I can quote most, if not all of the negative reviews as I am now experiencing first hand how difficult it is to deal with this company. I, unlike most of the others, have been trying to get payment on my claim for only (2) weeks now. Praying that it will not take months or years to receive payment. I fear that I will end up paying out of pocket for this minimal repair and cancelling out of this contract before anything MAJOR happens with my vehicle.
I cannot understand how this company can continue the way they do. I am convinced all the positive reviews are bogus! Something needs to be done. I guess, Pennsylvania doesn't have a better business bureau to report them to. Hopefully you have some influence on them to effect change there. Or put them out of business so they can't scam anyone else!

I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase. I spoke with about 5 different company reps over the phone. I did not want to rely on information online. Although their extended warranty does cover fire, flood, or car crashes, I thought it was the best bet because it was the most comprehensive in covering things like wear & tear, electrical and mechanical issues. Additionally, I was happy to have a service that would provide me with assistance in locksmith emergencies because I am notorious for locking my keys in my car. An extended warranty is an easy way to circumvent that ridiculous bill.

Runaround and blatant lies. Do not give them your money. I purchased a third-party extended warranty from Delta Auto Protect. Recently I created a claim due to a loud high-pitched noise my engine began making. I took my car to a garage meeting Delta's requirements, and the garage determined that the noise was caused by my alternator belt tensioner, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley, which had been damaged by a major oil leak caused by a failure of the oil filter housing profile gasket.
Delta told the garage that they would cover the cost of the gasket, but that the other parts do not fall into the category of "Covered Parts" in my contract. I reviewed my contract, which states: "WE will arrange for the repair or replacement of COVERED PARTS, and any component damaged by a COVERED PARTS." I contacted Delta brought the last half of that sentence to their attention and was faced with a barrage of shifting excuses for why the parts weren't covered. This all took place over at least a dozen calls where I had to leave a message with a promise of a callback which never took place. I had to call over and over and over and insist upon speaking to someone about the issue.
When I pointed out that the garage had determined that the parts had been damaged by the covered part, Delta claimed that the oil filter housing gasket was not a covered part, and that they had agreed to cover it only as a gesture of goodwill. So I pointed them to the provision of the contract that explicitly covered the gasket. I was told that it would be reviewed and someone would call me back.
Many calls later, when I finally was connected with someone, I was told that Delta had reviewed a recording of the call from the garage, and the garage had made no connection between the oil leak and the failed alternator components. I know that this isn't true for multiple reasons. 1- I have the garage's write-up on the diagnosis which explicitly states the cause of failure as the parts being "contaminated with engine oil". 2- Before taking your car to a mechanic, you are required to first make a claim with Delta. Issues found that are unrelated to the claim are not covered.
3- I asked for a copy of this supposed audio recording, at which point the floor manager to whom I had been escalated said, "I don't actually have an audio recording, but I don't need one because I'm the one who took the call from the garage." I asked why. He said that he had reviewed an audio recording and he said, "I meant that I have notes from my call with them." I asked why a floor manager would have taken a standard call from a garage and he said, "That's just how things work here." He refused to escalate the call to his supervisor. This is one of the worst experiences dealing with a company that I have ever had in my entire life. Delta is a horrible, dishonest company. I recommend not giving them your money.

When I was buying my new car, a friend of mine suggested that I get a extended warranty. My first thought was honestly, I don't need it, but upon further discussion, I was impressed to find out the wide range of coverage offering under an extended warranty. I could not believe it included provisions for majors repairs such as your transmission and the brakes which are very costly. My friend recommended Delta Auto Protect, and I gave them a call. I found out then that it also covers items that you may not have through your car insurance such as if you need a jump or towing if you go on a trip. This seemed like such a sensible thing to purchase for my vehicle. I made the purchase and have not looked back. I needed a tow the other day, and I was able to call a nearby company and have the cost covered by my warranty. I would recommend getting it.

Fantastic Service. I have been having engine trouble, and needed my car towed and repaired. Delta Auto Protect made everything affordable and simple for me. The customer service was great and very helpful. The tow showed up fast and on time, and I paid nothing out of pocket. The best part of it all, is that it wasn't a hassle to get my engine repaired. I had anticipated much worse. The claims process was a breeze.

While new car owners may feel secure with the manufacturer’s coverage, the largest percentage of car owners like myself, have vehicles that may need extended warranties to cover the normal wear an tear that occurs over time. Delta Auto Protect's extended warranty offered me the ideal solution and I will never own another vehicle without it. Since becoming a Delta customer, I have reaped the many benefits of having a warranty. I've saved a ton, and I am definitely going to make sure my daughter’s car has the same coverage. Now if I have an unexpected break down like an overheated engine, dead battery, or squeaking breaks, I can be at ease knowing that I can get it fixed without breaking the bank. My extended warranty is a priceless must have for me and my family.

My extended warranty helps cover a variety of repair costs when it comes to car ownership. I quickly saw the benefit of an extended warranty. Personally, I like to buy my vehicles and have them for a long stretch of time, so an extended warranty always makes sense. In short, my extended warranty affords me the luxury of having a reliable vehicle without over-the-top maintenance. I am also saving money and extending the life of my vehicle with my repair cost safety net. The reality is owning a vehicle means upkeep, repairs, and replacement parts beyond the life of your car’s manufacturer warranty. Thus, an extended warranty is more than worth the additional cost. I highly recommend.

I'm glad to have such an excellent safety net when it comes to the costs of repairs and maintenance for my car. Once my manufacturer's warranty ran out on my Volkswagen, I was a little concerned about my ability to keep up with its maintenance, just in case it were to break down. Luckily, I found out about extended warranties and I found a great provider that gave me an affordable deal. I must've jinxed myself because shortly after I purchased my extended warranty, I was in need of servicing on my vehicle. My timing chain was malfunctioning, and I was completely unable to use my vehicle. I was able to get free roadside assistance (who needs AAA) with my warranty, and when I filed the claim to have maintenance on my timing chain done, the claim was processed quickly. I had to pay very little out of pocket. My car was up and running within a few hours!! I'm proud that I made the decision to invest in my car!

Delta Auto Protect is the best! I just had to leave a review to say that I love my extended warranty. I needed my brake system repaired and I barely had to pay anything with my warranty to get it done. I am so happy I was able to get them fixed so quickly. I rely on my car to get to work, and although I was able to get a rental under my warranty while my car was in the shop, I couldn't wait to get back in the driver's seat of my own, well-functioning car. My brakes have not given me any issue since and I definitely saved some money. I am a happy camper. I am so glad I purchased this coverage!

I had no idea that extended warranties could be used to cover used cars as well. I own a used car and I love it, but its maintenance cost me so much. I was looking for something that could help me cut down the costs of my repairs and make the upkeep of my vehicle more manageable. My cousin recommended that I check out an extended warranty. Her explanation sounds too good to be true, so I took the number for Delta from her and gave them a call. I spoke at length with a rep who basically reiterated what my cousin said. I was surprised to find out that the extended warranty can be used in a huge network of mechanics, not just a select few. That was a big plus to me. Since becoming a Delta customer I have used my warranty to cover some minor repairs on my filter and on the body of my car. I can already see the savings.

I’m so glad I purchased the extended warranty from Delta. I recently blew a tire on a road trip with my family. I needed a tow to a nearby dealership to have it replaced. My extended warranty completely covered the tow service payment. Luckily, my car dealership's service center was able to replace my tire immediately. I sure appreciate that Delta was able to cover the tow for me. Who knows how much it would've cost otherwise. Please, if you're a car owner, get an extended warranty.

If you're thinking about getting an extended warranty, DO IT. You will never regret being prepared, especially when your car breaks down on the way to a funeral, like mine did. There’s nothing worse than being in a strange place, stranded on the side of the highway, with no idea who to call or how to fix the problem. Thankfully, I was able to have my car towed and get a rental car for the rest of my journey- no problem. I thought this was an expense I could do without, but I bought the warranty at the last second and am so glad I did (and you will be too!).

My overall experience with Delta's extended warranty has been great. When purchasing, my key concerns were mileage restrictions (I drive a lot!) and rental car reimbursement as they can be costly and I practically live in my car so going without one if something happens is impossible. I found the offerings to be competitive if not better than most other offerings. On the one occasion I needed a rental car because my car was in the shop for an extended period, it was covered by my warranty. Great buy. It definitely fit my needs.

Extended auto warranties are the lifelines for car owners. None of us can predict the unknown, and the unknown seems especially daunting after the manufacturer's warranty on your car expires. I am pleased that I purchased an extended warranty. It is a useful tool with which I am thoroughly satisfied. I have used my extended warranty to cover the cost of having someone come out to refuel my car, when I found myself in an out-of-gas emergency on the highway. I have also used to it cover a fraction of my auto-body repair costs. The claims process has been easy several times over, and the customer service has been of great quality. I definitely recommend.

A friend told me to that I should purchase an extended warranty for my truck. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to spend the extra money, but he convinced me that the peace of mind that I would have knowing that I was covered would outweigh the cost. Although I still wasn’t sure, for some reason, I took his advice and purchased my warranty through Delta.
Man, I sure was happy that I took his advice when I found out that I had a transmission issue and my bumper-to-bumper factory warranty had just expired! Not only did the extended warranty take care of the costs of the repair, but it also covered a car rental while it was being repaired! The extended warranty was something that I wasn’t sure that I needed, until I actually needed it. But then, I sure was happy that I had it!

Extended warranties aren’t essential to car ownership — but if you prefer the peace of mind over the possibility of an unexpected repair bill, it is. Delta Auto Protect helped me find a plan that was good for my tight budget and yet still met the requirements that I had in mind for protecting my vehicle. With so many extended warranty companies out there, I wanted to make sure I was picking the right one for my situation and asked a lot of questions to the rep over the phone. They really helped me understand how the policy worked and took the time to actually listen instead of treating me like a number. I hope I don't ever need my policy, but I will sleep better knowing that I have it.

Best decision I have ever made! One week ago my daughter and I were traveling from Atlanta to Charlotte to visit family when the engine light on my car came on then started flashing. Shortly after, my car stalled. My daughter reminded me that I had an extended warranty and if I were to call them they would take care of me... and that's what they did!! I called the Delta Auto customer service line and within 30 mins I had a tow truck at my location at no additional cost to me. Additionally, when I told the rep at Delta that I was out of town, he was even kind enough to locate the nearest repair center and helped arrange a rental car for us until the repairs were done! They went way beyond in helping us! They even did a follow up call to make sure the tow service had made it to us!

My warranty from Delta worked as intended. I had a bad breakdown well into ownership of my Accord, which turned out to be a fried transmission more or less. After going through the warranty, the repair was completely covered and only had to pay a small deductible - which was nothing in comparison to the work that was done and what was being replaced/fixed. A+!
