I have purchased my vehicle two months ago through Carvana, until now didn't receive my registration. They kept telling me different excuses, until they ran out of them. Finally one customer service admitted that they have not sent it due to negligence of their staff. I do Uber for living and have lost 2 months of work because of them.

Fast to get you hooked in, ok trade in amount, everything from there is downhill. Had to call them 3 times to make sure they paid off my trade in. Still waiting over 75 days for memo title to get plates on purchased car. Kept telling me it was Ohio that was behind, finally admitted it was the company they use to process it. 1st car they sent had an undocumented wreck that turned out to be a severe T-Bone, couldn't see until I got home. Had them take that one back, sent out another one that was questionable as well with two different kinds of tires when car had only 17,000 miles, hood out of align etc. By this time I had spent about 25 hours on the process and wanted to just be down with them. Now on over 60 hours total with this transaction and still trying to get a title.

Half the time they hang up when they call you back when you pick up the phone. The rest of the time you spend on hold listening to the same 3 songs and interrupting every 30 seconds on how long your wait time will be, then it goes down to 5 minutes, then back up to 10 minutes. Three times it did that tonight and still waiting. With over 100 cars bought in my lifetime this is the absolute worst vehicle transaction of all time by 10! Run, do not walk from this company. They have caused me so much anxiety in this "unprecedented time" two words they always use. My wife bought a car 4 weeks ago from a brick and mortar dealer and in under 3 weeks had her memo title. By the reviews here and everywhere else this company will be out of business soon.

We placed an online order for a car on a Saturday, 10 Oct 2020. Completed the paperwork (e-signed) and all pre-reqs on Sunday; cash purchase. On Sunday I was informed that the amount of this transaction would take 3-5 business days to clear a bank transaction, so I would need to OK them to start the transfer process before I get the car (their standard process says this doesn't happen until you take delivery). I verbally approved.

Monday was a bank holiday. I get a call Monday that because of the delay in clearing the financials, I would need to reschedule my pickup to a later date, which immediately invalidated all of my paperwork, so that would need to be re-signed. I never did that. Instead, I found a better vehicle on Monday and canceled my order with Carvana on Monday evening, after business hours. I called Tuesday morning, first thing, to confirm my cancelation. Confirmed. Tuesday afternoon, we realize that our bank account is now down the amount of the purchase. With no contract in place, and a canceled order, Carvana went ahead with the bank transaction when the banks opened on Tuesday.

It is now the following Saturday, 17 Oct 2020, and after every day on the phone, escalating as high as I was allowed, we are told simply that the money has not come into their account, so they cannot refund my purchase. Despite the fact that they never should have initiated the transaction, and the fact that the bank transaction clearing house takes no longer than 2 business days, they have continued to postpone any refund to us. I suggested they send a different source of money back to us, since they actually DO have our funds, already, even if their "system" doesn't show the "Refund" button, but that was not even considered. There are no alternatives.

So, Carvana withdrew my money from my account for a transaction that had been canceled and had no signed contracts in place, and has been drawing interest on my money. That is at least unscrupulous, if not illegal - I'm not a lawyer. Then there is nothing they can do for us until the Refund button shows up – whenever that happens? Customer service is obviously not a priority at Carvana.

Reading all reviews before buying, it seemed that for the most part, Carvana cars are excellent, the buying process is good, and the registration process is terrible. I chose to deal with a potentially nightmarish registration process in exchange for an excellent car. I also promised myself I'd write a good review if my registration process went smoothly. Well I have my plates today, two weeks after the car arrived, so that part could not have gone faster. And I live in NJ, which must have the worst DMV process in the country right now. There are still lines to get a number that start at 4am. I'm thrilled to have not had to do any of that. The car was a good price and it is in top shape. I would definitely recommend Carvana and I'll likely look here first when buying again. It was super nice to not have to go and deal with a dealership.

Researched car I wanted. Carvana was able to deliver that car almost on time (day late). Just as advertised mechanically sound. The registration/title process has been terrible. I purchased the car on 7/26/20 as of 10/15/20 I still have not received Title or registration. Covid has been the initial excuse but at this point, that is out of the question. This is just gross negligence and incompetency. I could never recommend anyone to purchase from them. They shouldn't be allowed to sell cars in NYS if this is their business practice.

I was ready to purchase a car. They made jump through hoops to upload paperwork. They would tell us to get one proof of income then you call back and talk to a different person every time and they all tell you a slightly different thing. My husband doesn’t have direct deposit so that was a huge issue for them. I hate traditional car sales bc of the scheming with price and the time it takes but they want to make their commission so they work extra hard for the sale. When they don’t make a commission, there is no incentive for Carvana employees to go the extra mile and close the sale. The employees were nice enough but nobody actually cares to get you in a car. This is my way of getting to work and transporting my children. For them to not care is not acceptable. Too many issues, too many different employees to deal with for 1 transaction. It was supposed to be easier than going to a dealer but that it was not.

At first I thought this was a great experience until I found out the car that I thought I purchased was sold to multiple people. I was so excited that I had purchased the car that I had been looking for, for a coupe of months. I started the whole online process figured out my deposit and payments. Even left work early to get documents that were needed by Carvana to complete my purchase. Talked to a representative that needed one more document to complete my purchase. After all that I was so excited to see my text and email saying Congratulations on your new car!!! I received more messages to confirm my delivery date. I then realized I needed to change my delivery time not the date just the time so I followed the instructions and click on the link that was provided.

A few days went by when I received another text saying get ready to meet your car which gave me the date and time of arrival. I thought the time changed but I guess not so I decided to call to only find out that the car was locked and sold to another customer. After taking to the agent and asking how could this happen the agent hung up on me.

I called back and asked to speak to supervisor who then tells me that because I went back in the purchase to edit the time it opened the car back up to be purchased. I asked how could that be after I have already spoken to someone about my financing details, trade in, and receiving multiple emails and texts saying "congratulations on your new car!" Instead of trying to help resolve the issue she kept blaming it to me that I logged in to edit. Mind you that is what I was told to do if I needed to make any changes. I did not purchase a car from Carvana which was a blessing in disguise since I found a newer car with less miles and cheaper than what I was going to buy from Carvana. I would just say be careful when purchasing a car from here.

I won’t recommend Carvana for anything. They buying is fast ok but is technically whatever they want and whatever money they want. So that’s a downfall and the registration process sucks. Is been 45 days and I haven’t received my registration or new plates and their answer was is not their fault. they have to process that 3 times. Is a matter of time and waiting and I ask for another temporary plates and the person told me they can’t give me a new one, that I just need to leave my car park and they will send me a $50 gift card. Like yeah that’s gonna cover to go back and forth to my job when I work 25 min. So they think I can lose my job because they don’t do what they supposed to do on time. Like instead of doing that they should give everything the same day that they bring the cars. It’s faster if the customer do it. They should feel a shame for that I’m so disappointed I wish I saw this reviews before. Don’t buy for them. Don’t do it.

We purchased a car from Carvana in May 2020. It is now October, and their "hassle free" registration handling has been a complete nightmare. First, they sent me a second temporary registration. Then that expired and they said they cannot issue another temporary tag. In the meantime, their "registration" department said they did everything they were supposed to do and the state of Colorado is the delay. Calling is no use. After over an hour on hold, the recorded message kept stating "your wait time is longer than 30 minutes".

I texted them and asked that they call me (I provided my number). They answered the text by saying "we cannot make outbound calls at this time". WTF??? What kind of company can't make outbound calls?? They have avoided every attempt to help me get this rectified for the past 2 weeks. The bank (lien holder) has called me 4 times in the past 3 months wondering where the title is. DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA!! The sale was seamless, but the post-sale has been horrible!

I have had the absolute worst car buying experience I have ever had (and I have bought and financed 5 cars). I’ve been on a hunt for a new vehicle for over a 3 months, and FINALLY found the perfect limited-edition Jeep at the perfect price Sunday night. Monday morning I applied, and shortly after received confirmation that my application was reviewed and approved received a confirmation email and text confirming my delivery date 10/7 at 4 PM. While signing the contract, it showed the vehicle was local, so I called in to ask if I could pick up the car instead of paying the $490 delivery fee. The rep put me on hold, and came back to tell me the car was in Texas. I thanked him for his time and ended the call. There was NO indication or discussion about cancelling my order during this call.

Tuesday morning I get another text confirmation of my delivery time “Tomorrow’s the day!...” The delivery time comes and goes and I still haven’t heard from anyone. I call to find out that my order had been edited… The rep told me he would work on getting the delivery rescheduled ASAP and would call me back within 1 hour before they closed. I got NO call….. then receive an email telling me that my car was sold to someone else! I call in today and all they can say is “sorry”. They have ZERO explanation as to why the APPROVED CONTRACT was cancelled. Now I have a hard inquiry on my credit, I have to rent a vehicle for the trip we’re leaving on tomorrow, and NO other Jeep Grand Cherokee is listed at this price point with similar mileage and features… So I'm screwed.

They cant do ANYTHING to help me but give me a lousy $250 towards my next purchase. The woman I spoke to today wouldn’t even allow me to talk with a supervisor! What!?!? What a nightmare this has all been. I will NEVER do business with Carvana again, and I will be sure every single person I know knows how shitty of a company this is. I am beyond disappointed with the lack of care in this process.

Monday: Bought car online through Carvana, given a delivery date of the following Monday. Deal included a trade-in. Website said someone would reach out within a few days. Friday/Saturday: Heard nothing from Carvana all week, so called to find out status. Was told what was still needed, submitted that. They said the owner of the trade-in had to sign the title over in person. I explained he could not; he's in a nursing home with dementia, but that I hold his power of attorney. They asked if I could submit a copy of his drivers license. I couldn't, so they told me the title would have to be transferred to my name.

I went to see a notary who said that could take a few weeks but wasn't necessary in PA. I went home, called Carvana to see if they would accept what notary said. That person asked me if I could submit a copy of my dad's license, which I had since gotten and could at that point. He said that was all they needed. I did that and the submission was accepted, everything was ready to go. (You can see all of this on Carvana's website). Great, we're all set for Monday. Except... SUNDAY: I got an email saying that the delivery would be delayed due to Covid. I called Carvana, the person said it was still scheduled for Monday. Two hours later I got a call from someone else, saying that he just found out the delivery had to be rescheduled because someone quit and there wasn't anyone else to drive the truck. We re-scheduled for...

WEDNESDAY: The car arrives, we test drive. Many more chips on the hood than noted on the website description, but fine, we'll touch up. The driver then tells me that he can't take my trade-in because my dad isn't there to sign the title. I tell him the situation, the makes a call and then tells me no, they can't take the car without my dad there. So, I told him to take his car back. Mostly angry because of the time wasted with them. Needless to say, we won't be wasting any more time on them.

I realize that we're in the middle of a pandemic, but it should have absolutely NO impact on Carvana's ability to answer a phone. It is entirely possible to route phone calls to your customer service reps who might be working from home. It's ridiculous that every time I have needed to speak with someone there, I get a recording that says my wait time is greater than 1/2 an hour. You can leave your name for them to call you back, and that MIGHT happen within 3-4 hours, if you're lucky. In the meantime, I purchased a car through them for my daughter. It was delivered to us on a Saturday and we took it for a test drive. It worked fine for three days and then it wouldn't start. I realized it needed a new battery, which SHOULD have been covered by Carvana, since in addition to their limited warranty, I had purchased an extended warranty.

The problem was that in order to have the cost covered, I first had to schedule a 1 hour diagnostic test to determine the issue. Then, if it was covered, I'd have to schedule another appointment to make the repair. As I only had a few days left before my 7 day return period expired, I decided I would take it to get the battery replaced and then call them to request a refund. My thinking was that if it was something else more serious, I'd find out within my 7 day return window, and I could still return/exchange the car. I shelled out $175 for a new battery and learned from the mechanic that the battery was a 2015 in the 2016 Chevy Sonic car, which means, it was the ORIGINAL battery for the car and was never replaced. So much for Carvana's 180 pt. inspection on all of its vehicles. That battery should have been replaced BEFORE it was delivered to us.

Long story short, I went back and forth with them, was on hold at one point for two hours before deciding to add my name to their call back option. Then I waited another 3 hours to hear back from them. They said they couldn't reimburse me because I needed to have a diagnostic. I told them I couldn't have a diagnostic because the old battery was already replaced!

Their chat "bot" is a joke, also. I keep getting a million emails and texts from them saying that I need to return my general power of attorney form in order to complete my registration. I returned it to them using the FedEx envelope they gave me last week, and now, I'm going to have to sit on the phone or wait hours again for them to get back to me when they feel like it to resolve this issue. Don't waste your time. They are shysters who don't care at all about their customers. You'd do better to buy directly from owner. At this point, I would rather have wasted hours at a car dealership where I could actually talk to a live person. I am so disappointed with my experience and their refusal to do the right thing for their customers.

I have had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Carvana to the point where I feel like this is all a big prank. It's almost comical at this point, but let me assure you – I'm definitely not laughing. I purchased a car with Carvana in December 2019. It arrived late and when I finally received it, there was water damage on the ceiling that was not disclosed to me when I purchased it. Within a few days I called Carvana to initiate a return and scheduled someone to pick it up on December 26.

On Christmas night, I was driving back from a dinner gathering when the plastic bottom of the car detached from the body and started dragging down the freeway under the car. I had to pull off the shoulder and try to reattach it but it kept detaching. There also happened to be a rare downpour in LA that night and I spent my Christmas sitting in a parking lot across town in the rain for hours, waiting for a tow truck in the middle of the night and finally getting home at 2am.

The next day the car gets picked up and is thankfully out of my hands, but this is only the beginning. Later that day, I get notifications from Carvana that my DMV paperwork had been submitted. I end up contacting them on 3 different occasions about this and all three customer services reps tell me that it's just an automatic notification and that my paperwork wasn't submitted.

Weeks later, I receive license plates and registration in the mail for this car. I end up contacting them again, and they tell me to mail these documents to their head office in Tempe and that they'll handle it. Well, they didn't handle it - the car is STILL registered to me in March, when I contact them again. Finally someone tells me that I need to fill out a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability with the DMV, which I do. I wish this was told to me right off the bat, because had anything happened with the car between December and March (worst case scenario a hit and run), it would have been on MY record. This possibility infuriates me.

The saga continues. Last night (9 months later), I received a parking ticket in the mail for the vehicle. I've since learned that filling out a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability doesn't remove your name from the registration. It's on the "new" owner to update the registration, which clearly Carvana/the new owner hasn't done. I now have to deal with the City of Hermosa Beach's parking violations department to sort this out. Until the registration is updated, I will continue to receive things like parking tickets. I spoke to the DMV and if whoever the new owner of the car is gets into a hit and run (as an example), it will still come back to me, however I won't be held liable since I've released liability on it.

All I want is to be rid of this vehicle completely. Working with Carvana has been a complete nightmare and so much of my time (work/personal/sleep) has been eaten up by dealing with this and the stress that has come with it. Sure, car dealerships suck, but at least you have a brick and mortar place and real life humans to interact with. My recommendation is to avoid Carvana at all costs. There is no accountability and the damage that they can do to your DMV record is not worth it.

Avoid doing business with Carvana at all costs. When issues arise (and they will) there is no way to get in touch with anyone who can effectively manage the situation. I sold my car to Carvana, got an online appraisal and was told the vehicle would be picked up in 10 days on Monday morning at 9am. The field rep was late, inspected the car, provided me with a sales contract & check, and took possession of both key fobs. He then left the car in the driveway (had to remove plates, so it cant go on the street) and told me a tow company would be by to pick it up later in the day or within 24 hours. Three days later, the car is still in my driveway and blocking my garage access.

I have called Carvana on 2 consecutive nights to inquire on status. Both times, I was bounced between holding and different phone reps for an hour. Both times, I was told "we can't reach the hub (aka transport company) and there's nothing we can do right now but you can expect a call tomorrow". So far, I have not received a call. The point of using Carvana is supposed to be convenience -- you get a little less $ for your car than selling privately, but it's (allegedly) quicker and easier. It has been anything BUT quick or easy. There is no "supervisor" to speak with, no office to complain to, just a phone number which provides no relief or a "chat" feature that provides no assistance whatsoever. I would *NEVER* do business with this shady internet company again! Buying or selling, I'd strongly recommend using Carvana!!!

Carvana lured me in with their slick on-line tools and available cars. Plus with Covid-19 concerns, nice way to shop at home. Be aware that Carvana repairs & repaints cars and does not tell you that. I bought a Subaru WRX that had outstanding pictures and was marked as having only 3 minor imperfections. I thought to myself these 360 degree pictures for a 2014 - 6 year old car look like new. I get the car and I was all excited as what I wanted. My initial reaction, "that car seems dirty & grimy, the tow hook cover was missing and hood paint seemed to have orange peel."

I hand washed the car the next day and starting noticing more problems with the paint - on a car Carvana sold as having 3 minor imperfections. I discovered and have 2 body shops verify that Carvana had repainted the hood, 2 fenders & 2 doors, plus the bumper had a 5"+ tear. And 20+ other nicks, scraps & blemishes on the car. The car felt dirty because their was paint over-spray all over. I tried to work with Carvana by sending in 75+ pictures, body shop estimates & writing out 3 letters - all submitted through Carvana. Never discussed with me, sat on phone for hours & get disconnected. Promises a manager would call me 3 times.

Carvana software tech will drive your calls to the front of line when trying to buy & throws you to back for hours after you buy. Yes they took the car back within the 7 days. You can see on Carvana's site they discuss fixing and now painting cars. But horrid they do a major paint job and don't list! Many might have missed or not taking to a body shop within the 7 days. Carvana is nothing old school used car crooks. Stay away.

Today is 9.3.2020, I've been trying to reach Carvava since Aug 31 to get an update in my permanent plate. Each time they said, "The paperwork is in process with DMV, we have sent it out." I went to the DMV today 9.3.2020 and waited in the line for 2 hours only to be told they have no paperwork from Carvana and the car is not even registered in my name. Carvana had over a month to get the paperwork to the DMV and each time I called they lied and said it was sent. I now cannot drive the car since the plates are expired. DMV also said not to drive the car because I if I get pulled over they will impound the car because it it not registered nor is it under my name.

I am now paying for a car that is unregistered, and have no form of getting to work. All Carvana can say is they are working on it. It wasn't until I had this experience that I looked into the issue further online and found hundreds of other in the same boat. Carvana has lied and is dishonest. I would gladly have go to a car dealership and pay the dealership fees to avoid this headache have I known this was going to happen. This is the first and last time buying a car from Carvana.

An easy $48 replacement turned into distrust when the dealership mechanic pulled tar-like glue from the remnants of the former trim piece to click into place the new one. The glue was a temporary hold that would never hold permanently. Without a body shop, the new one would never work. Mechanic showed many XYZ spots where body work had been done prior to sale. After calling Carvana to explain the glue/temporary fix to sell issue, they will not try to help. Selling this before the rest of the story unfolds.

My daughter bought a car from Carvana on June 27, 2020. It came with out-of-state temporary tags. Those tags expired 40 days later. She has been unable to drive the car since then because it is not street legal. She has not received her license plates or registration. The bank has not received the title. The customer service is terrible unless you like being on hold for hours. If you speak with three different Carvana employees on the same day you will get three different stories regarding your situation. When my daughter first inquired about when she might receive her plates, she was told that the hold up was that the state was out of license plates. Several weeks later, the office where we picked up the car indicated that they were just then forwarding the paperwork on to the third-party processor.

Just last week she received a call from the original office requesting her driver's license and proof of insurance so they could forward the paperwork to the third party processor. So there is no end in sight. Employees are completely useless. No one knows when my daughter will be able to drive the car that she's paying for. I would go to the corner used car lot before I'd buy from Carvana again. Check out the Facebook page "Carvana Reviews and Experiences" to get a good idea of how many people are in possession of a car that is no longer street legal for the same reason. It's an eye opener. Some people have been waiting seven months for their license plates.

According to Carvana, we are "out of market" - meaning that we would have to drive the vehicle to their hub (in this case, it is in Denver, CO - about 800 miles away). Not a big deal. Filled out the requisite information on the car, and submit - 30 seconds later I get the following offer on my $16,000 (per KBB) car: Carvana will give me a cool $100. Carvana adjusted the offer by $15,900 because I was "out of market". I would imagine that if this is how your business operates (and that is just fine), you should probably let potential sellers know that they will face a deduction in offer for how far away they are. In my case, they deduct $20 for every mile you are away from their hub. Again - if that's how they run their business, that is fine. Insulting potential customers? Not terribly smart.

My "advocate" (that's what Carvana calls their reps) Isaiah called the home office and told me that a different department would have to reprice the car. I talked to the rep on the phone and she told me that it would take 4-5 days to reprice the car and that they would hold the car for me (reconfirmed by Isaiah) in order to give me first dibs on the car at the correct price (Lie #2).

Isaiah told me that for my trouble Carvana was giving me $100. Isaiah personally asked the rep on the phone how I would get the $100 and she told him that it would be mailed to me (Lie #3). Later today I checked the Carvana website and saw that they had already relisted the car at the same price but with the correct mileage. Called the 800 number and was told it was a 5 minute wait (Lie #4). Left my number and finally got a call back 90 minutes later. The new rep tells me that the $100 is only good if I purchase another car. Also, says the original price was the accurate price (even though local dealers have comparable cars with comparable mileage for $1,000 less). Says she can't do anything else for me. Took off from work for the entire morning not to mention lining up the funds and doing all of the online work to purchase. Total waste of time.

During the time of Covid, I thought this would be a great way to buy a car from my couch. I found the right car for me at the right price. I reserved it as they did not have it yet. I had to put a deposit down. I already had financing all ready to go from my bank so I did not have to finance. Their interest rate was over 7%, my bank gave me 3.5%. I received an email on a Friday night saying the car passed inspection and photos are done. I looked at the car on the site and it looked great. I then clicked a link to "start buying". This started some timer that you had to finish all the paperwork before they release the car to someone else. Being a Friday night, there wasn't much I could do. I received emails for further action with my bank which I couldn't do anything until Monday morning. They said if I didn't get the funds transferred by 2 pm I could lose my car or delay the delivery date. This panic tactic to get the buying done quickly was very annoying.

My Bank of America loan specialist warned me that Carvana creates this panic as she's worked with them before. Being very proactive and not wanting to lose the car, I had everything done and got my documents signed and finished by 2pm on that Monday. My car was on schedule to be delivered on Saturday at 12:30pm. I returned a leased vehicle on Friday, took out a rental to be returned after getting my Carvana car. On Saturday, 12:30pm came and went. When I tried to call customer service to see when it will be delivered, (hold times are very long) I received a call from the delivery person. He said that he has the car but noticed the rotors and calipers were all rusted and if I still wanted it. He put it on me. I asked him about the 150 point inspection Carvana brags about. He didn't have an answer for me. I was shocked that the inspector let this pass and why was the delivery person telling me this?

He said it could be a safety issue but if I still wanted it, he'll deliver it. I refused the car. If something like this passed the 150 point inspection, what else did they miss? They offered to have it repaired and reschedule the delivery date. I tried to get a car rental paid for (as I needed a car for the week) which they did not approve. Sadly to say, I ended up canceling the whole transaction and will not use Carvana ever again.

We were down to one car and recently decided to move an hour away from the city so it was really important for us to have a 2nd car. I kept seeing all of the Carvana commercials and I just knew it was meant to be. Within an hour of shopping I found the vehicle that I wanted and 15 minutes later I was approved. We scheduled my delivery and my job contacted me that I was to return back to work on the day of my delivery. I thought I was going to have to hold off for another day but Carvana was happy to switch the delivery location.

A few weeks later I get a notification from Carvana that Motor Vehicles did not process my registration and tags. It was a monster headache trying to call MVA and MVA was closed to the public. I reached out to Carvana and they jumped right on it. The representative contacted them and kept me updated through the entire process for almost a month. Finally I was able to get an appointment with MVA, my tags were processed and Carvana got my hard plates sent out immediately. They were with me the entire time making sure that everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend Carvana to anyone that wants an hassle free easy process.

Luckily that happened at home and I was not stranded. $7.00 worth of batteries could have saved me from this problem. Next I did not receive my registration and FL license. I called over 11 times. One time I was on hold over an hour, only to be disconnected. Another time on hold 30 minutes, I left my number for a call back. Got the call back 30 minutes later, no one was on the line. When I did get through on the calls I was told delay due to COVID each time (looking over reviews this has been going on for 3-4 years with them).

Later when I called, also told delay due to COVID, but now it was FL DMVs fault. They started 3 separate times that was where the hold up was. Next my temporary plates expired due to the lengthy delay in paperwork. I went to my FL DMV and inquired about my registration and plates. They reviewed the statewide system and told me no information on file for my registration. So I currently have a car that I cannot prove I own. No registration, title or license plate. It would be illegal to drive if I didn't pay to get an extension only temporary plate. Never again will I ever buy a car from Carvana. I wonder if there is a legal title to the car. If you buy from Carvana, do NOT sign the affidavit, it states you will not sue them.

They replaced it with a 15 challenger and while I waited I also bought a 19 caravan for my wife. I waited about 90 days and had not heard anything so I called them and was told that the titles were not properly signed off on and they would have to get new titles. I said ok cause things happen. Well covid was here and that puts things in a different light.

I called again last month and still no titles and they told me they would let me know when the titles were good because I have now been preapproved for a refinance on them. They let me know the next day it was good to go and had the titles, my new bank sent them checks to refinance and all was suppose to be good, just yesterday I got word still no titles and that my challenger (that has no title) for some reason the bank refinance check bounced (this is a big bank).

I call my bank and Bridgecrest which is carvana finance company has not even submitted the check to be cashed. Still no titles now they are trying to cover up and give me the run. Paying way high interest on a loan through bridgecrest even though they could have been refinanced about 2 months ago now and now they are trying to get the cars back even though both payments are paid up til December and the new bank sent them check to refinance. While on hold closing time occurred and she hung up on me with unfinished work. Over the course of Sunday and Monday, I battle through their system (20-40 minute hold times, people who can't review documents and people that are unable to make decisions) to attempt to get the car. By the end of the day on Monday, I finally got a 3rd person (that day) that could review ALL of the paperwork. At that point, he set the delivery for Friday Afternoon.

Friday arrived and I received a message that they could not deliver it that day. They also will NOT allow me to travel to pick it up. Like many other negative reviews, I’m getting a vague statement that my vehicle "missed the transport" rig headed to my area. When I inquire about more details their chatbot says no humans are available after hours. Uh...it’s 10 am. Any time/effort you think you’re saving at Carvana will be wasted by their process that starts after you sign the contract. They’re great at getting the contract signed but buffoons when it actually matters. I’ve rescheduled the delivery and re-signed contracts but have yet to receive any direct human communication that my vehicle will be delivered on their second attempt. I wish I had never started this deal with Carvana.

Update #1 - Carvana has failed to deliver again! The original failure was on July 24th. The second failure occurred on July 28th. I'm told now the third failure will occur on August 4th. The ridiculous part is they were sending emails and texts to tell me that the car was "on time" and that I should be prepared for the delivery. Approximately 24 hours before the second failure, I get a call stating the vehicle never left New Jersey. I'm in California. That means they never bothered to actually check the vehicle's location. They just sent confirmation emails and texts without knowing the vehicle was still 2,800 miles away.

Unless Carvana is dabbling in time travel, there is no way a vehicle in New Jersey can be delivered to Southern California in 24 hours. I'll spare you the details of the "customer service" I've been receiving since the original failure to deliver. Do not use Carvana. Any time you think you're going to save by not going to a traditional car dealership will be wasted dealing with the delivery team buffoons.

The car is great but, The paperwork end has been a bit of a disaster. We’ve been waiting on our title paperwork for 4 weeks and after being on hold (again!) we were just told it would be another 4 weeks to receive the title on the car. We are the ones registering our car and processing all the paperwork with our state DMV, but we’re stuck waiting until we get the actual title from Carvana. The temporary plates provided by Carvana at delivery have expired and we’re currently unable to drive the car.

We paid in full for this car but 4 weeks in we’re unable to register it and show ownership since we’re getting the runaround from Carvana on sending us the title. Everyone we’ve dealt with has been nice, but we’re receiving conflicting answers and a bit of finger pointing from them. They claim not to charge dealership fees, but we’re paying double the value with our time spent just waiting and calling on the paperwork so we can do the actual work of US being the ones to register the car.

Well back in October I was in a horrible car accident. I was out of work. I needed car. No down payment. I came across Carvana. They were so helpful at the beginning so kind and integrity compassion was things you look for in a company to do business with. I purchased a Buick Encore 2016 in November. It has been in the shop about 8x since I got it. has broke down 4x on me on major highways. I am not a fan. I have called several times.

Spoke to carvana and they push things off one of the managers I spoke to. I think his name was Charlie something like that. My serpentine belt broke at 54,000. It is not supposed to break till 90,000. He took me as an idiot. That pissed me off every time I call. My car broke down Saturday. I couldn't call Silver Rock because they were closed. I called carvana. I was not nice. I'm tired of what they sold me. My car has been leaking oil. That is what cause the first serpentine belt to break so Saturday my belt broke again due to an oil leak. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on. Called back. Asked for a call back. You won't lose your place. Waited an hour before I called back. Spoke to a lady. I authorized someone to my account the most nicest ppl I have dealt with.

I’ve had my vehicle for 51 days and my car is not Registered yet. My paper tag has been expired for nearly a month with no end in sight! I informed the company I would be moving a month ago and my registration is currently still sitting on the “registration team desk”. They tried to tell me is because of Covid DMV closures. My DMV is not closed. They tried to say it was because they were missing a document from me. They didn’t request this document until after my paper tag expires. And I uploaded that very document before I even picked up the car. I’ve been given the run around for a month. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I now have to move across multiple states with an expired paper tag. They offered me a $250 reimbursement for transportation but, that will get me 2 days back and forth to work in an Uber and definitely won’t pay for towing. I spoke with a supervisor last week they told me they would ask the registration team to speed up. Nothing has happened with my registration since then. This is an absolute nightmare and is causing me unnecessary stress. Don’t shop Carvana unless you have another mode of transportation for at least 3 months.

This was by far the best car buying experience in my 34 yrs shopping for cars (I'm 50). Because I was shopping for a very coveted vehicle (Dodge Challenger 8-Cylinder), the hardest part was grabbing one before someone else snatched it up. Once I did, everything went as smooth as can be. The car was more than $2000 under KBB so no hassling required, plus the extended warranty was reasonable and well covered. When I received the car, it was in much better shape than I thought, as the imperfections listed and shown on their website were nowhere near as bad as I thought.

I purchased a car online. Carvana states: "We put each vehicle through a 150-point inspection so that you can be 100% confident in the quality and safety of your vehicle. This inspection includes everything from tread depth of tires to thickness of brake pads to exterior paint quality to Bluetooth compatibility. Certain cars may be subject to open safety recalls with no currently available remedy."

2017 Subaru Forester with 11,000 miles total price with all fees: $21,472. I traded my car $14038 and cash $7434 on July 11, 2020. Signed all the paperwork which has a CARFAX history print out stating: " the owner is a corporate fleet in Texas, yearly mileage 3900, Guaranteed no problem (salvage/junk/rebuilt/fire/FLOOD/hail/lemon. No issues reported (total loss/structural damage/airbag deployment/odometer check /accident/damage) and the warranty expired. Vehicle was purchased 5/27/17 in Texas on 3/10/19 serviced and smog with mileage 8854, on 5/1/19 registration issued or renewed, passed safety inspection, on 5/13/20 vehicle sold with 11686 mileage, 6/2/20 Carvana offered vehicle for sale, 11691 miles, 6/26/20 smogged 11738 miles, 7/8/20 vehicle offered for sale.

I drove the car for a few days and loved it. I was told this car has everything I wanted and fully loaded. It was not fully loaded, but I was okay with that. I loved the car. I only received one key and thought I should get another since I am older and having a 2nd key is a good idea and I also wanted a dash cover. I made an appointment with the Subaru dealership near me. Everyone there was so nice. They said I got a great deal and they could not find something on their lot that could compare. They also offered me a 9 year 100000 mile warranty for $3500 and gave me 2 days to think about it. I also decided to get my car checked out just in case. Bill for that was $559.00.

After it was over they told me I could not get the warranty. They reported: Technician performed multi point inspection on car. Found ALL components underneath car to be covered in rust. About 3/5 rust level. Will cause issues down the road. Everything else is in the green margin. Differential, exhaust system, steering, suspension, shocks, fluid leaks, frame (visual) were all checked off and rusted.

I was in shock. I contacted Carvana and they told me to call Silver Rock the warranty Administrator. Silver Rock told me I needed to have the dealership contact them. I wrote the phone number down and told this to the Subaru agent. He was also confused. He asked me if I actually wanted this vehicle repaired. The bolts were all rusted which makes any repairs extremely difficult due to more damage that can occur by bolts being rusted into the parts. I said it was not for me to decide. I paid them and left in a daze. This was all on July 15, 2020.

When I got home I contacted Carvana and told them what happened. The agent actually asked me if I wanted to start repairs and what I would have to pay with the warranty. I said I could not keep such a damaged vehicle. It would be in the shop more than on the road. “Well ma'am what do you want me to do?: Repair, replace or refund." I said I wanted replaced. He then said there were no 2017 Subaru Foresters available. I complained about being sold a defective vehicle when Carvana had to have known of this damage and did not disclose. He got snippy with me and kept throwing it back on me.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he would note all we spoke of and that I would have to call back the next day to see what the reply would be. The 7 day return was just coming up in 2 days. I was afraid if I did not get my trade in back by then, I would be stuck with the lemon. So, he scheduled to pick up the lemon car and bring my car back on 7/17/20. He said that I would get my money redeposit back into my account eventually. I said I at least wanted the $559 I had to pay for a car I cannot keep. Oh no no no. No refunds for me. I was exhausted and could not argue any more.

The next day I spoke to Beth and she was very kind. She looked at the notes and all it said was I wanted to get money back for a key I purchased. OMG. So, I told Beth the story and I was so upset I couldn’t speak correctly and she translated my babbling to what I tried to say and read it back to me. She understood my frustration and did say they do have policies which I understood. However, policies are for honest deals and not fraud. She said a supervisor would contact me that day. Allie called me at 4:21 pm. All she did was recite policy. No refunds for key or inspections on the car. If the car was what Carvana claimed then I would have not requested a refund. I would keep the key and the inspection would have been what I expected. But that was not this case. She cut me off and said there was nothing else she could do and also asked if I wanted to keep the car and have repairs started.

I do not really want my car back as it has become too difficult to get in and out. I needed a larger car. I spent weeks looking and researching makes and models and prices and features. I am just so upset that I was taken advantage of and I know others will be sold a clean damaged junk car. They won’t find out until the 100 day warranty by carvana runs out. This has to be criminal.

I finally get all the way through their broken process and then they can't even figure out how to schedule a pick-up or drop off for my car and wanted me to drive it 3 states and over 500 miles away to drop off. This company is a joke, just a lot of marketing money and zero execution. They can't even complete transactions. I've wasted hours of my life I'm never getting back. But I uploaded it again anyway. Here it is 47 days later, the tags are expired and when I called them a few days ago, they were not friendly nor helpful and seemed to not care at all. They basically said that my local police would understand that there were delays, etc. After the phone call, I got an email that my registration was sent for processing! So, they just sent it in. I am the idiot who decided it was a good idea to buy a car online without seeing it. Shame on me. Purchased a 2017 Volkswagen Passat over their website. No delivery was available for 2 weeks, so I dealt with it and selected my date and time. 3 days before delivery I get an email at 2 am on a Sunday that my delivery has been delayed. So in the morning at a normal hour I call, and they tell me that they have to push my delivery another 2 weeks. I ask why, and they tell me the delivery driver called out. Makes zero sense, being it’s days before the delivery, and who calls out for 2 weeks. On top of that, how can they not figure out another way to get a driver. So I ask them to pick the car up at the location. They tell me that it’s not possible for this vehicle. I don’t understand that either.

What differentiates this vehicle from any other vehicle? On top of not resolving my issue, letting me resolve my own issue, the representatives put you on hold, this time for me, 3 hours. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get someone to answer a call, when they finally answer after an hour, they transfer you for another hour, and again. I have decent credit, about a 675. They were trying to give me rates more than 7% higher than any other car loan I’ve ever had, even with worse credit. After doing more research I found it Carvana is NOTORIOUS for cancelling and delaying deliveries. Seems like they don’t actually have the cars they list, and try to find them, because when you ask information about them, they just assure you that you can see the car and test drive it for 7 days when you receive it.

They are beyond unhelpful, rude, and disorganized. After they confirm your delivery and documents, they start sending you on expeditions to send them more documentation that can’t be uploaded, instead give you 48 hours at 8 pm on a Friday, to find a FedEx Drop Off location open for Saturday pickups so it will make it there in time. Even after doing that, and being told my delivery will be Thursday the 16th, I get delayed. I purchased insurance for the vehicle which was about to start tomorrow, meaning if I didn’t call and cancel in time I would have been liable for the month of Insurance on a vehicle I couldn’t take possession of.

Please do yourself a favor and go to a real car dealership, with real people, and real vehicles. If you are going to make the mistake of purchasing from this joke of a business, do your research. Read the reviews. It is a reoccurring problem apparently everyone has where they “have drivers call out for 2 weeks” and delay deliveries. I would never recommend this nightmare to anyone, including my enemies. This business is surely going to fail, dump your stock if you have any haha.

Don't get me wrong. I love the car. It is just that Carvana has made this entire very drawn out experience a big disappointment. I purchased the car at the end of April. The delivery was LATE and the car was NOT detailed and there were minor blemishes on the car that weren't listed that I let slide because of the ongoing covid19 pandemic. It didn't end there though. One week from my temporary tag expiration, they notified me that THEY lost my smog and VIN paperwork. They tried to pass it off on the mail carrier like it wasn't their responsibility.

Therefore I had to go out during the pandemic myself to get the smog and VIN verified. Defeating the entire purpose of the touch free hassle free ILLUSION of Carvana. It is nearly a month after my temporary tags expired and I've yet to receive my plates or another temporary registration. So I've not driven my car since the temporary tag expiration. I go to turn my car on yesterday and the battery is failing. I was jump started and ran the car for a couple hours. Today the battery failed again.

The recommended mechanic said in his experience the battery isn't covered because it's a wearable item. I've yet to find out but this is the next problem I have to sort through and go out in one of the most dangerous counties in California for covid19. Save yourself the trouble and wait until the pandemic subsides and go to a friendly dealership who has more reason to respond and help customers than a billion dollar corporation that treats you like just another number. Take care and be safe.

My experience with Carvana is a bit odd.... I had got pre-approved for an okay rate and was excited since I wouldn’t have to put anything down. I contacted them to see if it was okay to buy a car without a license because I wasn’t sure their process. I researched it and in the state I’m in you really don’t need a license to buy a car, and I was told by the person I was talking to said it was alright. So I found a car I really liked and was excited for and went through the process of buying it. I got approved and was waiting for my scheduled drop off day.... cut to the day I was suppose to get the car and an hour before it was suppose to arrive I get a call from the underwriting team. I tell them I was told that I would still get the car and she said nothing would change and that my car would come at the scheduled time. Cut to an hour after the car should have arrived and I call them because I still haven’t received my car.

After being on hold for a half hour I finally got a hold of a person and she tried to figure out what happened she decides to have a team leader call me back. About an hour later I get called back and basically told that I won’t be getting my car because I don’t have a drivers license and this women kept insisting that it wasn’t my fault however that’s not the feeling I got from the people I talked to that it was. Overall it was all unprofessional and a completely waste of time. Save your money, time and sanity and support a local car dealership.

It got to the point I even order them lunch. I found out later on that Carvana, Bridgecrest (Carvana finance company), Silver Rock, Drivetime is the same company (Son owns Carvana. Father owns Drivetime and bank so on so on) so they get your money in all ways. They will try to tell you that they are separate companies but you can clearly see it's one and the same.

I tried to get the car fixed through their warranty company which is Silver Rock but no company would work on a car from the dealer to Pep Boys because they said that silver rock never pays their bills. I was told by one company that they had one customers car for over a month because silver rock kept sending them used parts until the shop finally told the customer then the customer complained and forced him to buy the part new. This company has been a nightmare. Seeing what I'm dealing with I will tell you be very cautious.

After driving about 5 miles, the engine light and the TPM light come on in this 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport/ “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I continue driving and it stays on on this entire 20 mile journey. The next day (after receiving the car), I look up the Silver Rock warranty place and get a few of the places numbers, so I can call and get an appointment. Most in my area were like “Mr. Tire” and places like such. A number is them told me that they didn’t have a mechanic on staff and to call other locations.

I find one that can see me. He does a diagnostic and the truck has three codes that appear and all lead to probable engine issues. The manager at the place tells me to send the truck back. “Did they knowingly send me a car with engine issues?” Five days later, they pick they car up. The website states, after the car is returned, your monies are returned 3-5 business days later.

I sold my other car and now I’ve had to rent a vehicle before I can get another because after 11 business days, I have to receive my money back so that I can purchase another car: When calling Carvana, they stated it was 3-5 days after the warehouse processes a return and they don’t know the time frame on that. I was paying the $390 to even have it delivered so I didn’t have to drive to pick it up. First problem was with the bank verification process. I was using a check from an brokerage account that they couldn’t verify in their system. Next, cash deal so should be easy right?! I transfer the money wait 2 days for it to go from one bank to another. No problem they give me an extension on the buying process (this all of the purchase pending locks you see on their site). So the money can clear and be verified.

It’s all good to go and I pick my delivery day/time- days ahead of time. (5 days exactly) So, 1 week has now gone by and the day before the expected delivery I’m told there is an unexpected issue with the car and it’s being delayed. WHAT?? It won’t START!!! The new delivery date is 10 days away. This car is for my daughter and her 16th birthday which is the day of the original delivery. Bottom line buyer beware. Ask questions. The Carfax report is not always right. Have a mechanic, as well as a body shop, do a inspection before you move forward on keeping the car.

The process could not have been easier. They arranged for an appt to come and pick up the car. Upon arrival, he quickly examined the car, and didn't even have to take it on a test drive after I started it up. I was handed a check for $1900 more than even TrueCar had it appraised at. Easiest, most pleasant car-selling experience EVER!

I do like the fact, if true, that you can apply and the inquiry does not affect your credit. Another issue is that the site felt a bit pushy, you know how a sales person keeps talking, tying to control your purchasing ability and experience...I got that feeling from this website. I also noticed, which I felt was odd, there were only two reviews about customer experiences...and of course they were positive.

When I got on there and found a car and put in my info I chose one of the cheaper cars in there because I don't have much credit at this point. But the cheapest car I found was over 10000. When I put in my info I was told I was approved but for only 5000 and since the cheapest car in there was over 10000 I would have to put 5000 down to get the car. So I kind of felt like I wasted my time. I have never been told at any other dealership that I would have to put 5000 down on even newer cars. It just seed way been overpriced for what they had to bn offer.

Because you cannot actively shop for a car at a dealership's property, Carvana seems at the next best thing. These guys were born out of online car buying and since the virus lockdown, they are the best I've seen at still offering this possibility. Ease of purchase is only second to the large selection of autos they carry. Very impressed with the financing module, as well. The only drawback is a dealer could probably do a better job of finding you autos that have precisely the color, equipment, and age you are seeking. But Carvana definitely makes car shopping enjoyable. Plus the way they ship it to you. Pretty cool!

My only issue was that they replaced the rear tires, but not the front tires, saying the front wheels were within their acceptable range. Two weeks after acceptance of my vehicle, I drove it up a hill and began sliding backwards. Upon taking it to my mechanic I discovered the front treads met with Carvana’s minimum standard. I purchased new friends nr tires as a he existing ones were dangerous to drive on, but Carvana would not reimburse me for the purchase. I was disappointed, but still recommend them as an alternative to personally going to a dealership. I recommend checking the tires before accepting the vehicle.

Carvana marketing makes you feel like they have done the vetting for you by proclaiming no wrecks and 150 point inspection. They presented me with a clean Carfax with No Accidents, I bought the car in 2017 and paid $17,000 cash. In 2020 I went to trade the car and the dealer presented me with a carfax that had a major wreck, 6 months before I bought it! When I went back to Carvana and presented the facts that they sold me a wrecked car, they told me they would buy it back for $5,600 (because it had been wrecked!) while at the same time still selling the same car online for $14,000 (3 years latter). The bottom line - They are no different than any other car dealer! They buy auction cars that are being liquidated and convince the public they are accident free and better than the competition. Also, make sure you take delivery in the day time because if there are marks on the car you can not see them. But, on the good side you do get 7 days to drive the car. I received the car at night and I could barely see the car or the paperwork they wanted me to sign. Not good. It felt red flaggish. Also, the price was a little higher than the blue book value.

Updated on 06/18/2020: I finally receive this car on 6/13/2020. The person who delivered this car was very on time (actually early) and extremely friendly. I took a quick test drive and initially loved the car. The delivery driver took me through the paperwork of signing everything, and left me on the way with my new car. The second day of having my car on 6/14, the airbag light in the car went on. With a new car that went through the "150 point inspection", a final inspection, and took a month to be delivered, I was very surprised to see that there was already a light on the dashboard and figured I should probably get this looked at.

On 6/16, took this car in for a 'Pre-Purchase Inspection". After going through this inspection, the mechanic walked me through each thing that was wrong with the car. The list was EXTENSIVE. Below is what his notes were:
    - Rusty Undercarriage
    - Tires were low tread (below 20%)
    - Wheels were spray painted (?)
    - Air Bag Light On
    - Over 20 DTC issues on the car. Some include Voltage, Can Comm, Lost Communication, Steering Signal

The mechanic said the repairs would cost anywhere from $5,000 - $8,000. This was extremely disappointing to hear given this is a new car that went through several inspections with Carvana and none of these things were addressed? I called Carvana and asked how we could resolve some of these issues and they said I would need to go through the Warranty company, Silver Rock. Given my experience this far with Carvana I decided that this was not even worth my time or money and decided to return this car as soon as possible.

On 6/17 I called Carvana to tell them I wanted this car returned. The customer advocate I spoke with told me it was no problem and the earliest they could pick up the car was on 6/18 at 3 pm. I agreed on that time and hung up. On 6/18 around 10 am and 1 pm, I called Carvana Care (twice) to confirm the return appointment. The appointment was confirmed both times and I hung up. 3 pm rolls around and I do not hear anything from Carvana regarding a return. I gave them a call at 3:30 pm to see where they were and I was told that my return was never confirmed? Wow, news to me because I had called earlier that day TWICE. At this point, the person I was working with was able to pull some strings to get the car picked up tonight at 6 pm which was very nice. I am still skeptical this will happen given my experience.

To summarize, this entire process that I have gone through with Carvana is honestly the absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. I would not wish this on my worst enemy as it has been over a month of headache after headache and constant let down. Please do your research before going with Carvana. And if you do decide to buy a car through them, please make sure you get a second opinion on the car's quality prior to the 7 day return policy ending. The quality of the cars that go through Carvana do not seem to meet the standards of what they advertise. Best of luck on your car search!

Original Review: On 5/15/2020, I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape from Carvana. The purchasing of the car online was extremely easy and straightforward. I was so excited to see that my car would be delivered to my house in 5 days on 5/20/2020. In order to accept the delivery, you need to have proof of insurance beginning that day. I went ahead and purchased insurance beginning 5/20.

On 5/18, I wake up to a call from a Carvana customer service employee stating that they found there was a broken headlight and the moulding on the passenger side of the car was coming off. They found this during their final inspection of the car prior to them shipping it out. At this time, I was disappointed as they advertise an 150 point inspection that is done on all cars prior to listing them on the site. It is hard for me to believe that this was just discovered, as the car should have had an 150 point inspection initially. I am curious to know how a headlight and moulding on the car could be damaged if it was just sitting in their warehouse? Additionally, I personally think it is not a good business model to confirm a delivery date when a final inspection has not been completed.

At this point, they delayed the car another 9 days meaning I was supposed to get this car on 5/29. I understand things happen so I accepted that they were doing everything they could to get the car to me in good condition. They offered me $150.00 for the inconvenience. On 5/27, 2 days before the delivery date, I get another call from Carvana stating that the delivery date will need to be pushed out a second time due to the repairs not being completed. The new delivery date would be 6/4. This was unacceptable as it has already been rescheduled and confirmed for the date of 5/29. After speaking to customer service they said they were only able to offer me $250.00 total for the inconvenience. At this point, I was spending more than $300.00 total on a rental car and insurance that I did not need.

Since my car had been delayed several times at this point, I called Carvana daily to get status updates on the car. At this point, I was assured that my car would be here on 6/4 and I stopped calling for updates. On 6/2, I wake up to a call from Carvana saying that they will need to push the delivery out AGAIN to 6/13. When I inquired about why, I was told that during the repairs, someone had broken the handle on the car and they needed to order another part and fix it.

At this point, they stated they could only offer me $350.00 for the now upwards of $500 that I am spending on insurance/other means of transportation. I was also informed that it is not guaranteed my car would be delivered on 6/13 as they did not yet have the part that was needed to repair the door handle - why would a delivery date and time be confirmed if they do not have the means to guarantee this delivery.

As I did prior, I called daily to get status updates on this car. Each time I call in, I get a different excuse about what happened and why the car is delayed. Each person I spoke to assured me that they would follow up with information and each person has failed to do so. Today, I called back in and spoke with someone on the Delivery Resolution Team who assured me the car was getting worked on today and the part was finally in. He assured me that this car would be delivered on 6/13 without a problem. At this point I hung up and immediately logged onto my account to update my down payment.

Since it has now taken a month for me to get this car, I have more money saved up that I was able to put toward the down payment of the vehicle. I went into my account to update only the cash amount and when I completed the change I was brought back to the scheduling page. When you go to update the information, it asks what you would like to update. When I only selected that I wanted to increase the down payment, nowhere did it say that I would also need to reschedule the car delivery date.

To my surprise I was then asked to reschedule the delivery date of the car that has been confirmed. When I was rescheduling the car, the earliest date was now 6/16, 3 days after the date promised by the manager on the Delivery Resolution team. At this point, I figured it would be easy to call customer service and have this back to the 6/13 date as I just spoke to someone 30 minutes prior who confirmed verbally the 6/13 date would not be an issue.

I called back in and was told that I was now unable to have the 6/13 delivery date because someone else had taken it. I escalated this to 3 different people who basically told me that it was my fault and there was nothing they could do. This is now the 5th time my car has been delayed and it has been 28 days and counting. It is ridiculous that updating the down payment amount would also trigger a reschedule of the car delivery when it was confirmed - these two have nothing to do with each other. Additionally, I was told that I will be receiving $350.00 for the inconvenience, however, this does not even close to cover the expenses of the time and money I have spent dealing with Carvana. Additionally, I only will get this $350.00 if I decide to keep this specific vehicle.

At this point, I am unsure if this car even exists and I am quite frankly terrified of the condition it will be in once (if) I actually receive this. I have had a less than good experience working with this company and do not have very much faith in the quality or condition of the car I am about to receive. Definitely do your research when deciding to go with Carvana. Updates to come.

(Note that they said I could order mats from the dealership and pick up--they'd pay for them. What?! And that they'd send someone out to replace the windshield. What?!) The car was also sluggish when I took it for a test drive, as well. Why would they send out a car like this? I immediately returned it.

Their 3-5 day policy for refunding your $? Don't buy into that--when you don't receive your refund (I paid it all up front) in that time period, they put it off on your bank, state they'll contact their refunds department and get back in touch with you (they don't) & ultimately say it takes 7-10 days for them to process. And getting in touch with them? They don't return phone calls, & chatting with their bot will waste several hours of your time trying to get your hard-earned cash back. They say whatever will hook you, then do what they wish--and in this case, not provide you with the car as advertised. Save yourself the time and energy! Should be a small issue (they have 180-inspection before sale) and SilverRock (the contract coverage company) would assist me to fix any potential issues. I drove back from KC to South Dakota. 3 days later, SilverRock called me and assigned a local dealer for diagnosis. It turned out needing a new engine for the car. Still in 7-day return window, I contacted with Carvana (an advocate called Jacob) and they asked me to drive back the car. Remember the car is eating coolant into engine, how can I take this risk to drive back. Then, they said they need $399 for pick the car up to return it. Folks, 180-inspection is a joke! Once the car has issues, you will be told no worries Carvana has good coverage and keep visiting garages. Good luck to those car buyer!!!!

I read Carvana's bad and good reviews. That my first reaction was not to trust Carvana, and I was hesitant of buying a car online without seeing and test drive the car first. Especially, I was about to purchase an almost $26k car with tax and registration almost $28k. Anyway, I decided to give Carvana a chance to prove the negative comments were wrong, but I totally regret trusting Carvana.

I did all the requirements and follow all their instructions as far as getting the loan, sending them the info. So they could verify the financing is good, sent them a copy of the check, we had three-way call so they could verify the funds in my account for the downpayment, I contacted my car insurance to add the vehicle I was going to purchase, and I made a reservation to rent a car because the closest Carvana's vending machine was 4 hrs. from where I live. I planned to drive for 4 hrs. to pick up the car since there was a $399 delivery charge outside their delivery area. I had to wait a week to schedule the pick up so I could schedule it between my work schedules.

A day before the pick up I called Carvana to make sure the car had been delivered to Carvana's Birmingham, AL vending machine where I was supposed to do the pick-up. I wanted to make sure the car was there before I drive 4 hrs. Carvana customer service assured me the car was there and ready for me to pick it up. 5 hours later I received a call from Carvana stating they want to reschedule the pick up because the car has a suspension problem and there was an engine light on that their mechanic still trying to fix. Which none of it ever mention in the vehicle descriptions.

I gave it a 1 star, 0 if I could because: 1.) I wasted my time running around doing the paperwork trying to do my part to buy the car. 2.) I have to pay 10 days of interest because Carvana wanted a copy of the check by May 21st to verify the loan is good and so they could confirm the delivery and pick up is good for May 28th. 3.) For a week no one told me there's a suspension issue and engine light problem until a day before the pick up which Carvana confirmed it was good to go for pick up on May 28th as scheduled. And 4.) I spent time canceling the rental vehicle, spoke to my loan officer to cancel the check, pay interest on the check, I transferred the funds out of my account before Carvana takes it out, I canceled the mechanic who was supposed to check the car for pre-inspection and I had to call the car insurance again to delete the car out of my insurance.

All this work and now I'm searching for another car to buy after wasting 2 weeks dealing with Carvana. So if you want to take a chance and do all these and not knowing for sure if you would have the car you want after searching for the right car, which hopefully a good reliable car, because you could not really trust Carvana for their words...then GOOD LUCK!

First, I'll start with the pricing. They put a little badge on a listing saying "Priced to move!" "$2500 under value!!" but when you lookup the value yourself, it is ALWAYS at the top of the scale. I looked up 10+ cars, all with the same result.. overpriced! Ripoff #1. Next comes the trade-in. They valued my car at $1800 and said it's not negotiable, the bluebook trade-in value is listed at $4800-$5700. It has very low miles and is very good condition. That's ripoff #2.

Now, for the "get pre-qualified now" I filled everything out but it seems there are no set terms. They change depending on the car you are currently looking at, usually interest rates are affected by things like length of loan, sometimes the year, or mileage can be a factor. Carvana changes by the car you look at, I looked at two different 2019 Genesis G80's, and it gave me two different interest rates, the only difference was the color! Now for the real kicker. I have a pretty good credit score (over 750) and they want to charge me 18.9%. That is absurd, most of their competition is offering 70+ month financing at 2% or less right now. I have credit cards with lower interest than their car loans! I tried to contact them, but was only told that they do not negotiate under any circumstances. Their loss....

Please be aware of these points while you're making your buying decisions. Carvana is putting the "shifty used car salesman" back into car sales. They are trying to take advantage of people at every turn. Insultingly low trade-in offers, ridiculous interest rates and higher-than-market prices on the cars they're selling. They are the "undercarriage protection coating" of the car sales world.

I evaluated the website. Easy to find cars of many makes and models. Pictures seem to be of actual vehicles with a 360 degree view and close-ups of dings. Financing was easy to change from a cash purchase to various financing options. Shipping costs were obvious, but not in your face. You need the Vcd IN or license plate number if you want to trade in. Company menu is clearly separated from the car search features, but still easy to spot. The process is clearly outlined. The background blues are calming colors, which probably puts nervous first-time online buyers more at ease. Not a fancy or glitzy website, but pleasing and very functional.

I accepted an offer to sell my husband's and my car to Carvana. It is lien-free and has a clear title. They were scheduled to come pick up the car the following week. I then was notified that they could not accept a Power of Attorney. Husband is on Hospice and has late-stage dementia. He cannot sign his name. I am a 24/7 caregiver and cannot leave home (during Covid-19). This caused such an additional burden for me.

Response from Carvana: "In regards to your questions about the Power of Attorney policy, it's difficult for an online dealership to use POA, so Carvana decided to limit it to military deployment situations at this time. You can reach out to legal@carvana.com to find out more information on our policy." I am not an attorney but it seems to me that if Carvana is doing business in Minnesota, it should accept a Power of Attorney, which was drafted by a Minnesota attorney and notarized in Minnesota.

Delivery was early, car was great (we had it inspected by Dodge). Everything has gone well despite my fears. You can have a great car buying experience from Carvana. All that is left is registering the vehicle. I see negative reviews regarding that as well. I am going to stay positive and hope for the best. Cheers!

They sell Mercedes but do not have understanding of the diagnostic tools needed nor basic systems, typical tech company.

This could be a great concept but it's a kitchen without a chef. After 15 days of running around what's the resolution? 200 dollars off sticker on something else. Absolutel worse car buying experience, made me buy insurance on the car that I have been for 15 days. Told me, "Cannot do anything. Try and get it back from your insurance"? When I thought about getting a new car, I dreaded the thought of being at the dealer and having to put up with all the BS that car dealers put you through. The haggling; the "let-me-talk-to-my-manager" game; the forced add-ons by the financial people. So I see a commercial for Carvana and I entertain the idea of a hassle-free way to buy a car. So I go online and I find a car I like, a 2019 Honda. I prequalify myself and the next thing you know, I'm buying the car from Carvana online.

The delivery was arranged for a few days later and it was seamless. We said a time, they were there at that time, and I quickly signed the necessary paperwork. I had seven days to return or exchange the car for any reason. But why would I need to? The car seemed to be in mint condition and Carvana prides itself on its "150-point inspection" of every vehicle they sell.

Well, the lesson, ladies and gentlemen, is to look under the car when it arrives. Because I dropped something on the ground which rolled under the car. When I went to retrieve it, I saw something hanging down from the undercarriage. I took it into the shop and they showed me that the car was missing all of its splash guards. Carvana proved to me that you just can't trust them. Not to mention, when I called to arrange to return the car, I was on hold, to talk to an agent, for 26 minutes. That just told me how awful it would be anytime I needed to contact them.

Where do I start? My experience with Carvana started off well enough. I found a Jeep Wrangler I that seemed nice and had a few extras in my price range. As many things, this was too good to be true. I should have listened to my gut about this 2015 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. When I showed up to pick up my Jeep for the test drive, I found a few issues from the get-go, and as time went on over my 7day test drive, more and more presented themselves. The kicker, all of these problems with the car quite literally have a number on the 150 Carvana checklist. Let's walk down this road together, shall we?

On my test drive: the rearview mirror falls off (Carvana Checklist #79). There are multiple blown speakers on the car (Carvana Checklist #64). When I stopped to put the Jeep into 4 wheel drive, I immediately noticed a very loud clicking and grinding noise coming from under the Jeep. After taking the Jeep to a Cert. Dealer to have this looked at, it turns out there is a not only a bad drive shaft (Carvana Checklist #34), there is also bad bushing (Carvana Checklist #41). When returning to the Carvana location, I engaged the parking brake as the Jeep was a manual transmission, the parking brake slipped and did not fully engage allowing the Jeep to still roll in neutral (Carvana Checklist #112).

I am overall very saddened by this whole thing. Even after calling Carvana and informing them of the issues and how the end of my 7day test drive was coming to and end soon. I requested they take the Jeep back, fix the many issues and allow me to start the 7day test drive again. Because for whatever reason I was still willing to buy this vehicle. Instead they offered that I return the Jeep and test another one. But why would I try a second car from Carvana when the one I have currently had so many problems? My major question, how do so many blatantly obvious issues like the rear view mirror falling off at the slightest touch make it past all quality control checks????

Exercise caution folks… This is a major quality control problem. To add insult to injury, I also had to pay $167.04 out of pocket to have the Jeep looked over at a Cert. Jeep dealer as all of the places Silver Rock have listed for service will not work on 4-wheel drive. Add to that I am going on 72+ hours after returning the car and have not received my downpayment back, but it only took them 24 hours to pull it out of my account.

We previously purchased a used car from Carvana in February of 2017, and since then, have never stopped singing their praises. We were impressed with the quality of the car, the customer service, ease of purchase, and overall experience. What we received was exactly what they offered, and we have been recommending them to everyone since that purchase. Move ahead to 2020.

We decided after much research to purchase another vehicle from Carvana after having such a good experience the first time. This time around was much the same in the pre-sale phase: great customer service, ease of working with our lender, and delivery times were fast even with the COVID-19 situation. However, after delivery, we quickly were aware that the vehicle was not in good condition.

The car was not detailed (there was dirt, dog hair, and bits of paper trash in the car,) there were improperly installed parts (the weather stripping in the rear hatchback was not the correct part and falling off,) more damage than was presented online and quite a bit of rust that was not noted. For the price, I was not happy with the quality of the car delivered. This was a 180 degree change from the 2018 experience. I wanted to like the car and keep it but too many small things added up and we returned it after 3 days. Since then, we have not received any customer follow-up.

I've talked to 3 customer service reps and no one is doing anything to actually get the car here on any of the 3 dates of delivery. The car I purchased has a 6 yr/60k bumper to bumper through the manufacturer and Carvana didn't state that on either the description or in any of the paperwork. I found out through a VIN search. It seems to be a thing with them in order to sell their "Carvanacare". If I knew it would have been this frustrating, I would have went to a car dealership where I at least knew what to expect. Today is May 6, 2020. About one month ago I bought the following 2017 Jeep Patriot for Carvana: VIN: ** Stock #: 2000495218. Purchase and financing went smoothly and professional. A professional young man delivered the car on time and the car appeared as advertised. Yet I don't trust, so I set up an appointment with my mechanic to look over the vehicle. He called me down the next day and walked me under the car and showed me the extensive rust damage to the suspension. This was not normal rust for a Northeastern winter car, which was the history of the vehicle. He gave me a ballpark figure and we called Jeep to get a better idea.

They concluded we had $6000 to $10000 of damage on the car. Jeep said, "I wouldn't buy that car." My mechanic said it made him uncomfortable and recommend we not purchase the Jeep. He also told me he had seen other cars from Carvana delivered in bad shape. I call Carvana on Day 5 and told them we were not accepting the car and told them about the extensive damage to the suspension system. I told them I would not use them again, because I could not trust a company that tried to sell me a car with such a huge issue and didn't disclose it. In fact, how could nobody notice this on their certified inspection.

Carvana picked up the car on Day 7 and I did get my full refund in 10 days. Yet today I got a tickle ad from TruCar.com about a car I was interested in. There was the same Jeep they sold me and back on the market. Same price, same certified inspection, same carfax report. BUYER BEWARE: On one can only surmise that this company is selling junk cars. They hope people will not have checked out prior to the 7 day return policy. So if you roll the dice and deal with this company, please spend $125 to have it inspected the day after you get the car. If you go past day 7, you're going to own it flaws and all. My suggestions is, don't use Carvana or TruCar. This is pure fraud.

My experience with Carvana was terrible. The initial purchase went ok thanks to my credit union providing excellent customer service. Be prepared to upload documents several times, sign digital copies of contracts and documents several times as they make corrections, and hope you have a bank that is easy to communicate with and provides excellent service.

The real problems will come when you try to get your car. If you are outside their delivery area, you will have to pay $399 for delivery. If you opt to meet them inside a delivery area, you don’t have to pay the fee. Since I was an hour and a half from their delivery area, I opted to meet them and save $399. My first delivery date was set, then at the last minute, they canceled because the driver didn’t show up. They were unable to find a driver who could get the car to me in less than a week. If it had not been for the fact my wife was working from home and didn’t have an immediate need for a car, I would have canceled right then. Red flags had already been present throughout the process, but the car was what we wanted, so I stuck with it. I should not have.

I rescheduled pick up for a week later. I was told to be at the agreed Location, a Home Depot in Oakland, Ca, at 1:00 pm. The drive is a three hour, 150 miles round trip for us. My son and I took part of the day off to pick up the car. We arrived at the Home Depot ten minutes early. Forty-five minutes later, no car. This Location, suggested by Carvana, was in a rundown area of Oakland surrounded by homeless encampments. The Home Depot lot had four security guards out front, and two Oakland PD cars parked there the entire time. I never received a call or text from Carvana, and their app showing delivery status was not working.

I called them, and after waiting almost 40 minutes on hold, I was told the delivery driver had called in sick, and they were trying to find a replacement! They told me someone would call me in 15 minutes. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from a driver who said he would be there in about 35 minutes. The driver did show up 35 minutes later. I had now been sitting in the parking lot of a sketchy area for two and a half hours. My son and I had also lost the whole workday at this point.

To his credit, the driver was fantastic. Once he arrived, I inspected and drove the car, signed the paperwork, and got out of there. The car was as promised, so we are going to keep it. The driver told me that he was going to talk to his managers about doing something to make things right because of what happened. Never heard a word from Carvana. They also did not include the $50 gift card they promised because I drove to pick the car up instead of having it delivered. Yes, the car was dirty and needed to be cleaned. When I asked for the $50 card, they refused. Do not use this company.

Come Mar 1, same thing, new temp plates, said they'd get it all squared away. Apr 1, still no registration and though they said they'd send me new temp plates, they never did, so my registration has been expired since then. Thankfully, due to the pandemic, they're not stopping me for this. Today is MAY 1 and I JUST got my plates yesterday, BUT they mailed them to my old house, where I lived in December, even though I've updated my address with them and every time I called or chatted, made sure they confirmed it would go to my new address. So I had to drive to my old house and pick up the plates. Not ideal.

    My experience was:
    Intriguing
    Good
    Great
    Frustrating
    Great
    Good/Poor/Horrible

    Great

My experience at Carvana was Intriguing as I really didn't know what to expect. I buy everything online, so it only made sense for me to look into Carvana after seeing the television advertising. I wondered how would I get financing, how would I pick out a car, would I like my car, how would I receive my car. The Good part happened when my financing was approved and I had picked out my vehicle. The Frustrating part occurred when Carvana needed my insurance company to Fax them the RMV-1 form. My insurance company said they only Email them, Carvana wanted it Faxed. After many, many phone calls to Geico and Carvana, and some unbelievable long wait times, somehow the copy of the RMV-1 that was emailed to me was finally accepted by Carvana.

The Great part happened when Britney from Carvana called me and said "Congratulations, You Are All Set". I could hear the smile in her voice over the telephone. The Good/Poor/Horrible came next. Yep all 3 in a row, all together. (Good part)- My car was set to be delivered on Monday April 20th at 12:30. I was so, so excited to see my car in person and to take it for a short ride as Carvana tells you is allowed. (Poor begins here)- I waited until 1pm and started to try and call Carvana. There was a 40 minute wait time by phone....I kid you not!...I tried to get on the online chat and that was a 20 minute wait for a human! So, I waited. I waited. I waited. At 2:00, I finally got thru to the "advocate" that was delivering my car. He clearly had no idea what was going on or where he was supposed to be. He stated he would arrive with my car by 2:30, no later.

I waited and at 2:45, finally I saw the Carvana truck with my car. The car was removed from the truck and I checked it over. I asked to take it for a quick spin and the "advocate" told me in Massachusetts temporary plates are not allowed. I would have to wait 2 more days until they got my car registered for me to take it on the road! I say this is truly the Poor/Horrible part. There was definitely a lot of miscommunication on the part of Carvana. Had I been informed that MA does not allow temp. plates, that would not have been such a shock! I have no idea about the registry rules as I'm a nurse! Also if I had been informed it would be another 2 day wait before I could drive my car at all, I wouldn't have been so very disappointed!

Next, still in the horrible phase, I signed all the paperwork. I gave my downpayment check to Ryan, my advocate, and he took a picture of that and my license and then put the check with his paperwork and he left. After resigning myself to the fact that I could only look at my car for 2 days, I calmed down UNTIL....I got an email....NO PHONE CALL....JUST AN EMAIL....saying Carvana is trying to reach me. I called them and was told they couldn't process my downpayment as I didn't give them a cc account number. I explained I paid that by the bank check that I gave Ryan. She argued with me and insisted the driver did not have the check and I must have kept it! I was so lost for words!

She then told me to just give them my cc information so they could withdraw the funds. I refused. She told me they would be "following" me to get their funds. I sent emails to everybody at Carvana I could think of. Finally, I got an EMAIL....NOT A PHONE CALL....stating they miraculously found the bank check that the driver had 'misplaced' and my downpayment was paid in full. The last part...the great part when I got Carvana off of my back with all of their false accusations....and I finally got to drive my car! She is a beauty! She is bright red, compact, and runs like a thoroughbred! I might do business with Carvana in the future. I would really have to give it some thought.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I drove from Fort Wayne, Indiana to North Carolina to pick up a 2015 Yukon as a primary transport vehicle for myself. We were trading in my Camaro. First, our original drop off appointment time was cancelled after we changed the drop off address to 2 miles from original address as we were coming from out of state and had to make hotel plans around the Coronavirus. So our appointment time was immediately given to someone else...and we called right after the site told us that our appointment was cancelled!

They pushed back our appointment another hour which doesn't seem like a big deal. BUT we had the owner of our car coming to be present at the signing off. He is an employee at a major hospital, working in ER, with dying patients, and on third shift. He is just getting off of work and needs sleep in order to consciously assist medical patients. And the Carvana rep said that we would be inconveniencing the customer who currently had the original appointment time. We are the customer!!! That was our appointment! So off to a bad start.

We received our car and after the delivery person from Carvana left, we immediately noticed many issues. First, the car is NOT what was advertised. Yes, I know, you offer a 360 tour. Obviously it didn't show the long scratches along the body, horrible scratching on rear tail light covers, scratches in the back hatch, and marks on stepping platforms. Even worse was the inside. Nothing had been touched or cleaned. There was smearing everywhere, a busted driver's side seat belt cover, my husband found a potato chip, I found candy wrappers, there was trash everywhere, food dumped down the console, and stickiness on the buttons and steering wheel. How dare Carvana deliver a vehicle in this condition in the current Virus situation?? And after reading many reviews, apparently misleading pictures and extreme dirtiness are the norm for Carvana.

We immediately followed up with Customer Service about these issues and of course were offered $100 (typical in their responses it seems), and were reminded of the 7-day return policy. Why would you not just clean a car instead of risking losing a 35K dollar deal?? We spent a lot of money and traveled 549 miles to do this, and were delivered an extremely dirty car. We had to drive all the way back home in someone else's filth! And $100 does NOT cover a large Yukon! We received a quote for almost 3 times as much! And it is impossible to get a detailer to do the work right now as we are in the middle of a Pandemic! So we have to either clean the car ourselves or wait for weeks. Unacceptable. On top of all of this....my husband and I got sick when we got home. So when I get tested positive for the Virus, I will send Carvana the bill and supporting facts and documents.

Worst overall car buying experience. How shameful. Can't even vacuum or clean out a car for someone spending 35K dollars. And yes, I know, "Carvana is disappointed to hear about your experience, we do our best to ensure quality and satisfaction, we located your account, give our specialists a call at blah blah blah"....so when are you sending someone out to clean and buff our car??

Carvana only uses one lender. One predatory lender. Here is my review of their sole lender, for which they have a proprietary partnership. This review pertains to Carvana and is meant as a benefit to any potential buyer. BEWARE!!! This heartless company refuses to help its customers during a pandemic. Lost your job because the government won't allow you to work during "stay at home" orders? Screw you, pay me. You have family members who are effected by the virus? Screw you, pay me. Falling further behind on rent and fear eviction? Screw you, pay me. Both of my other auto lenders offered multi-month deferments. One even called and solicited me for the deferments!!! I couldn't be more grateful.

I have already added glowing online reviews for both of these companies. Thank you so much, it is a huge relief of burden during these trying times. On the other hand, why does Bridecrest take the opportunity to bury me even further? Their answer isn't to help me with deferments, it's to request that I send them my unemployment checks or put a payment in my credit cards. Are you serious? Excuse me but I am going to use unemployment and credit cards for cost of living, to survive and hopefully not be evicted. I have no idea when I will be allowed to work again.

A scary proposition to not know if and when you will regain your income. Just so we are clear, I wish to fulfill my contractual obligation. I signed the papers with every intent on paying completely and on time. I am not asking for loan forgiveness, just a couple deferments. Because of a National state of emergency, not because I am irresponsible. Fine, continue to charge me interest but why not help with a deferment? Are we not all in this together? I have worked years to build my credit and now with one fell swoop, all will be ruined. Not at any fault of my own or because I defaulted but because local and federal governments have paused the economy and won't allow me to work.

Well apparently the economy is paused for most of us but not for all of us. Because Bridecrest, apparently is all systems go. No conscious company who only cares about the bottom line, not their customers. They will continue to repossess cars and ruin thousands of Americans credit because of their greed during a pandemic. All with no recourse. Even though there are programs out there designed to help them help me, still no help. There is nothing anyone can do to stop the predatory behavior but please heed my warning. If and when we return to normalcy and you find yourself in position do buy a vehicle, please avoid this company at all costs. They will put the screws to you, even when the world is coming to an end.

I went to the Carvana website, browsed all their vehicles and easily found one I liked. It said delivery was free and would take only a couple of days to deliver. The price was more than reasonable so I went through the process of finishing the paperwork. Yes, it was a bit long and drawn out, but it was the same things you would provide to a regular dealership. Once the paperwork was generated and I began signing (electronically), it was then I noticed the actual loan provider and the interest rate. This is where the trouble started.

When I read the interest rate, I almost went through the roof because it TOO was through the roof! 15.15% interest for a used car!?? I grimaced and then attributed it to my recently closed bankruptcy and my low credit rating. I'm also retired and on a small pension and SSI. Since the payments were within my budget and I needed no money down, I signed the paperwork anyway.

I took delivery of the vehicle and all was as it was described on the website. On day 5 of the "test drive" period, I went online to see about other financing. Within thirty minutes, I was approved for a loan from a well known bank at a much more reasonable 3.13%. They immediately made out a check for the payoff amount and sent it to Carvana's financier. The paperwork had not yet been sent out for the title and registration. I contacted the Carvana financier and informed them a check was on the way and they readily acknowledged this. I called Carvana to see about changing the paperwork for the title and registration. They said they had to talk to the registration department and see if that was possible and that they'd get back to me.

Ten days later and 3 more phone calls finally got the reply I was dreading. They said they could not change the paperwork nor had the registration/title paperwork even been done yet. So not only did I pay the fees for the registration/title paperwork through Carvana, but I will now pay it again through the new lien holder!

Note the date of this review. COVID19 and the "safer at home" order is in full swing and while I realize that all paperwork will be and is delayed, there is simply no excuse for the paperwork to be delayed this long. Add in the fact that the paperwork from the title and registration could have been changed with an addendum and my signature, Carvana did not take this route. To say I'm a little upset would be putting it mildly at this time!! Moral of the story: Get pre-approved for a used/new car loan and do not use Carvana's financing. It's a total ripoff and while they will act and speak all nicey-nice to you throughout the process, once you take delivery, you're SOL for any further help from them.

They changed the terms after I signed by adding a $400 delivery charge and adding 8.15% to the interest rate. This was a zero down loan and now they wanted $3500. So I cancelled. The reason for the return was the car had been repainted and nothing about that was stated in the description. It was obvious. Over spray on the black parts of the car.

While Carvana advertises itself as a very easy site to use and buy a car, that is actually a facade. When you go through the process of picking out a vehicle, there are LOTS of documents you must upload and endless amount of phone calls you will be making if your car delivery date keeps getting delayed, which happened to me. I am very upset with the whole experience. To top it all off, when the car FINALLY arrived yesterday, there was a big piece of rubber hanging off the inner door. They did not properly inspect this vehicle for repairs. The delivery man assured me Carvana will call me and tell me how to get it repaired and will fully compensate.

I ended up calling today, waited several times for a call back or answer and hung up out of frustration. I will be returning my car and never dealing with this company again. It is ONE BIG HEADACHE. Worse than a dealership. They make it so difficult to reach a human being on the phone and ignore you once you signed your papers over.

Firstly I am the current owner of a Carvana vehicle. Told everyone from friends and family how quick, easy and painless the process was. When it came time for my wife to purchase a newer vehicle I talked her into going the Carvana route. The two experiences could not have been more different. Vehicle was misrepresented on their website, both in the description and using the filter. Vehicle was listed as 3rd row seating, it was delivered on time but missing the listed 3rd row. The Carvana representative that delivered the vehicle reassured us that Carvana would make it right, which I believed as my past experience was positive. As this vehicle is on a universal frame that already has the bolt pattern for the third row installed we offered to pay for a mechanic to install it if they would pay the 300 dollars for the seat and bracket. After a few phone calls and a lot of lip service they did offer a 100 dollars for the inconvenience.

I have already paid the prorate on my 6 month insurance policy, as directed to do for the drop off, so keeping the vehicle is in my best interest also. They will have to pay for the pick up and delivery of another vehicle or to get our trade in back to us. This is another problem with their business model, along with others list on the BBB, it's more expensive to keep transporting vehicles back and forth than the cost of an advantages solution for both parties. I as well as most people would be fired form my job for not taking the cheaper option for my company and keeping the client happy.

So I echo what a lot of these reviewers have said. Buyer beware. If you want to be lied to and play bait and switch games stick to the old buy here pay here lots. At least you can see the vehicle before you buy it or pay to switch insurance on it. Expected more from this company, you have lost yet another retuning customer over a minor fix. Keep up the good work Carvana.

My wife and I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Tuscon from Carvana last week. When it was delivered we were so excited. They Delivered the vehicle at 7 pm and gave us 15 min to test drive. The Vehicle drove great so we signed and were done. The next day I go out to check out the vehicle (since it was dark and raining the night before. I was shocked how filthy everything was inside of the vehicle.

In the space tire compartment I found an old Enterprise rental agreement and a used tampon, Uhh... when I looked inside of the vehicle it was disgusting, food all over the back seats, straw wrappers under the seats. Needless to say I called to inform them of the problem. The first person I spoke with calmed me down and reassured me they would cover the cost to have it detailed and she would call me back to iron out the details. Didn't hear anything so I called back. The second person informed me they would not cover the cost of a full detail and disinfecting, But credit me $100. With everything going on I can not believe they would not clean a car before delivering.

My son found a 2014 VW Jetta SportWagen on Carvana that he decided to order. Process to order was easy, customer service rep was friendly, and car was going to be delivered in 2 days. Great! And then the car arrived. It had damage that was not photographed in their listing and whoever did the detail job did a horrible job. But that actually turned out to be a good thing because we were able to figure out the car appears to have been involved in some sort of shooting. First my son noticed paint overspray on the driver’s side window and that the moulding on the door was newly painted. There was also a dent in the moulding where it was newly painted. Then I got in the vehicle and noticed there was blood splattered on the headliner above the rear passenger door!

The delivery driver wouldn’t admit that that was what it was but it was obvious. Needless to say, my son rejected the car. It’s really unfortunate that Carvana’s ethics suck because the buying process was really easy...the only reason I gave them 2 stars. I will never buy a car from them though and my son has decided not to as well. What a waste.

I was rear ended in the end of January and it left me with a totaled car and a concussion. I needed to purchase a car quickly because the rental was expiring and I needed transportation to and from work. I looked to Carvana and found what I thought was a decent car. My insurance check was the down payment for this brick. First, it was delayed and I was notified 40 minutes before scheduled delivery. I was told it was because they were changing the battery and the repair workers didn't report it correctly. 10 days in the battery dies, they tow it to a repair facility (Firestone) and the technician tells me the battery is from 2017. He also tells me to pay attention to the rust under the hood. Then came time to do my state inspection at AAA. I almost failed because the bulbs were no good, but I had them changed out and passed. However, the technician told me and wrote on the bill that he believes the car was underwater due to the EXCESSIVE amount of rust and evidence of WATER DAMAGE that he saw. He brought me in to show me the car and it was horrible. I called them and sent over the photos the technician sent to me with all of the documents. These people proceeded to try to tell me that this was normal rust because the car was from PA. I lived in PA for the past 20 years and have had two used cars, neither EVER looked like the Legacy. And the cars I had before this one were older and of lesser quality. They tried to tell me the damage could have been due to snow and salt , that the car rust was acceptable to them, the car is up to "carvana standards" and that I need to get a diagnostic. I get a diagnostic done at a third part, Meineke, and the DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN said "it appears to me that this car has been underwater due to the amount of uniform rust under the car" he also noted the amount of rust on pulleys, struts etc. At this point we were in contact with a supervisor and manager and the supervisor proceeded to push, even with the diagnostic in her hand, that it may have been due to salt and snow. The manager stated That we would have to have ANOTHER inspection by another third party inspector. He would come to our complex's parking lot and inspect the car there. As if this would be even close to the full diagnostic done at Meinieke and state inspection done at AAA where the technician took the car apart and had the car up in the air. The other option would be to coat the car so the rust doesnt get worse. This car was NEVER advertised as flooded or as is (carfax said it wasn't in a flood too) and has obvious damage that three different professionals speculated and confirmed that it was water/flood damage. Most were third party technicians, Firestone was the repair facility of Carvana's choice and even he pointed out the rust under the hood, but neither were my personal mechanic,it was multiple PROFESSIONALS and Carvana had the inspection results that said the car had more than likely been underwater. I demanded they take the car and refund my money so that I can find an actual car that isn't going to have a million and one problems (all of this happened within the span of 2 ish months) and that will have a future since im putting in 17k on this thing. 150 point inspection but they somehow missed the 2017 dead battery, weak light bulbs and the rust from water damage/flooding that has severely effected the cars whole foundation. On top of that, the cars bumper was recently poorly painted but according to Carvana hasn't been through an accident or flood. I never asked to be rear ended at 80 mi/hr by some crazed lady. I never asked to have my car totaled which would have ran for more years to come despite being an '08 PA used car. I gave them a down payment over what they were asking and am still current on the payments for a car I no longer use. I respect the law and I did everything right with the intention of just getting proper transportation so that I can work and be independent again. I am a single mother who has nobody but my daughter in this country. It has been nothing but blood in this situation. This has taken so much time from me and her. She works so much and is in school and I work and we have to spend all this time with these people while they try to lie and cheat their way to keep me with this fraud. Time that is taken away from her being able to sleep and study. She comes in from two shifts with a pale face and is barley able to keep her eyes open but we have to sort this situation out. It has been constant phone calls and tests and repairs since this car got here. All I want back is the money I gave them for this car I bought under false pretenses and the money they promised to give back for the tests/repairs in exchange for the car. Steer clear of these people, they value nothing and only care about money. Please be unreasonably per cautious so that your family doesn't have to go through what my family is going through. Stay safe and don't let monstrous corporations like this steal your valuable time and hard earned money. This company is a fraud, they broke the law by not advertising flood damage/overcharging, are irresponsible and reckless, careless and I just hope that everyone stays safe and vigilant when It comes to buying a vehicle this way. That goes for Carvana and any other online car dealership. But better yet, stay away from online dealerships if possible. At the very least protect yourself, your family and your assets because these people will suffocate every cent out of you if they get the chance.

I have two witnesses that this is not the case that the vehicle came and was delivered that way. I am working with the Better Business Bureau however I have not heard the final results. I would just advise you to look over the vehicle closely and if there’s other damage were not aware of to not accept delivery of the vehicle. Also if the vehicle has any other aftermarket equipment on it will not be included on their warranty.

Then we received the registration papers, signed off and returned those back within 5 days. A month later we get a call regarding the registration papers... We called back and the young mas who assisted advised that they did receive the package back and there was no need for concern. Then we received a 2nd set of registration papers to complete... Was advised that the mailroom misplaced the 1st set. Signed and returned 2and set.. Temporary tag expired on 2/18/2020 so we had to pay $29.85 for another temporary tag..

We had been advised that they would send a link to upload for us to be reimbursed... Never got the link.. Received an email on 2/19 that the registration was completed and we would receive our tags in 5-7 business days.. Called in again to inquire about the tags and was told the email we were sent was incorrect and it would take 10-15 business days because it's coming via regular mail. Temporary tag expired on the 19th of March.. Now it's 17 business days later, and we call again only to be told that we would have to go purchase replacement tags if the tags don't get here on time.... They can't order replacement tags and unfortunately Texas sends their tags out regular mail.... All I can say is this is the worst experience we have ever had with any company in general... Since Carvana offered a lower price for my trade-in than CarMax, I sold my car to CarMax the day before my delivery.

then I get a phone call and text message at 6:05am on the day of delivery (set at noon) that they are not coming. Rather, they will come two days later. I read a number of reviews Prior to purchasing from Carvana. It left me miserable because I found the vehicle I want but I am worried about the post-purchase experience. In this instance, my intuition was spot on. I did have an unsavory post-purchase experience with Carvana. I bought a 2018 Toyota Sienna SE. During delivery or off-load process my wife and I witnessed the front bumper lip scraped the ramp. From our distance it did not look like it was damaged. I did the visual inspection and asked the field rep if I can do a test drive. He responded that I have only 5 mins since he is doing another delivery. Actually, when I was closing the sale I was told that I have 15 mins to do a road test.

When I arrived home I happened to do another visual examination. At this point I noticed the damage on the front bumper lip. When I looked closely, the damaged was more extensive than a “level 1 cosmetic defect”. I took the vehicle to a repair shop and it will cost me approx $800 to fix it. I reported it to carvana and they offered me $100 as an assessment for this “cosmetic defect”. I was told by Carvana that the field rep was very careful during delivery but he does not have any proof since he did not take any pics which I found out later he should have done.

Again, I should have triple-checked everything before I even closed the sale. Even the description available online. Because I missed the part as well that reflects it has ONLY 1 SET OF KEYS. A new set of Keys costs me $239 (steep even with a military discount). Communication with Carvana ended with them sending me a $100 check and telling me there is nothing they can do. It is true that I can still return the van...but they failed to see that it is less expensive for them to just double the check they are sending me. There is no way they could offer the same van at the price I paid for it. Oh well... Will I recommend Carvana...possibly no after this experience. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Let me try and be brief:

    1) Car purchased/delivered on 12/20/2019.
    2) Current date 02/20/2020.

    3) Status - Registration Plates and Title STILL NOT RECEIVED.

Bottom Line: You cannot trust ANYTHING that the blokes on the Customer Service Line tell you. You should RUN from this company. Now the story. The company sends the car with temp plates. They have a turn around time of 30 days to get the registration processed. I knew that if bought from a dealer it takes less than a week to get the registration done. But yeah, since the temp plates are valid for a month, I was willing to live with it.

My 1st temp plate was valid till 02/02/2020. When I did not get the plates by 01/15/2020, I gave the "Customer Service" a call. Was told everything was in "order" and I should call them back if I did not have the plates by 02/01/2020. Lo n behold my registration plates did not come by 01/02/2020. So I called them again. This time they told me that they did not have a "Power of Attorney" to process the registration and were going to send me the same and a second temporary registration plate by overnight FedEx. The next day the Fedex did come but it only had a temporary registration plate and no "Power of Attorney" for me to sign and send back.

So I called them again on 02/03/2020. Now they told me that it's not the "Power of Attorney" that was a problem but my insurance proof (which I had provided when they delivered the vehicle) and a "Bank Lien Document". These I uploaded to their website the very same day. I called again on 02/04/2020 to confirm that the documents were in order. I was told that they were and that they were sending them over to the DMV for processing. And I should expect the registration plate and title within 10 working days. I called them again on 02/06/2020 to enquire about the status. They said that the documents had been sent over. I asked twice whether the documents were at DMV or with Carvana and they told me twice that the documents had been sent over to DMV and I would get the plates and title within 10 days

The plates did not arrive and so I called them again on 02/18/2020. This time I was told that the documents were with the vendor. This was the 1st time that a "vendor" was mentioned. So I asked what vendor. They said that there is a 3rd party vendor that deals with the registration locally at the local DMV. I asked to speak with the vendor and they said that the vendor is not "client facing" and I could not talk to them. I had lost it by this time and asked to speak to a line manager. I was told he (a certain Henry C) was not available and that they would ask him to call back by EOD. Then I asked them to call the vendor and confirm that they had the documents and were processing them. The bloke on the phone made me hold the line for a few minutes and then returned and confirmed that he had spoken to the vendor and that the vendor was processing them. I did not receive a call back from Henry by EOD.

I called them again on 02/19/2020 asking about the status. The agent on the other end now said that Carvana was "going to" send the documents to the vendor. He was really very apologetic. I asked to speak to a line manager again and they guy said he would get him to call me back. This time I did receive a call back from the fabled Mr Henry C a couple of hours later. He said that Carvana had dropped the ball and he was going to get an internal audit done to find out where and how. I asked him to expedite the matter and he said that he would. He said that I would receive an email status update regarding each step in the process. I received no such email. I asked him to pick up the phone and call the vendor and he said he would.

I called them again this morning 02/20/2020. I was told that the notes on my case said that the documents were sent over yesterday and a "expedited processing request" was sent in just 3 hrs back. I asked the agent to call up the vendor a confirm the status. This agent said that he did not have the number to call the vendor. I asked him whether his colleagues the previous days had been lying to me when they told me they were calling the vendor and put me on hold and he said "I wasn't part of those conversations". I asked to speak with Henry since I wanted to know why the "expedited processing request" was sent on 02/20/2020. Henry was "unavailable". Stay posted for updates....

I decided to go ahead and accept the offer with an expiration date seven days later. When I went back to the site the next day after receiving the offer to upload the required documents, it asked for me to reenter the VIN number and mileage of the car. I did and the mileage had increased by 6 miles. The site then produced a new lower offer, even though my original offer had not expired.

I called the customer service number to try to figure out why I am now being offered less for my car than what was originally accepted and they said it was because the mileage changed. I couldn't believe that 6 additional miles would lower the offer by $116.00. They said it made a difference and they were no longer willing to honor the unexpired original offer. I explained that I would have to drive the car to deliver it to them since they were out of my area, so how can I be sure of what I am going to get for my car. The rep told me that the offer was made for the original mileage and any miles will alter the offer. I feel this is deceptive and dishonest! You don't know how much you will truly get from selling your vehicle until you show up.

They also discovered the blend door for the heater was inoperative, this is being addressed through silver rock with no Co-pay (thank goodness but still a hassle). I was not alerted to problems they may have had and on the day the temporary plate expired I called them (or tried to - the registration problems phone number does not work). So I chatted with them. Once I ditched the dumb bot, they told me that they'd made some sort of error and told me to go to the DMV to get temporary plates. It's not my fault but I had to take two hours out of my day before a holiday weekend! Ridiculous.

At the DMV they researched the VIN and told me in no uncertain terms that Carvana hadn't filed what they needed to do and that they needed to sort out the problem. They refused the plates. Being caught between an online dealer -- quickly becoming the same as an IRL dealer - and everyone's favorite government agency is the most horrible experience and I frankly feel like Carvana just wanted to shift the effort to me. So, I'm back with Carvana trying to get help. I've gone from being an advocate for them to warning everyone that they're not ready for prime time.

Several years ago, I had a less than stellar experience with Carvana which took a long time to straighten out. Ultimately, I loved my car and knew some people who had not awful experiences so was willing to give another try. Purchased a 2018 BMW on a Friday with delivery the following Wednesday. I had delivery delays the last time, so decided to take the day off of work to enjoy my new purchase and not be rushed. Less than an hour before delivery, they called and said that the car was significantly more damaged than the pictures showed, they wouldn’t repair the car because the car was listed as “small scratches” or something (but was heavily scratched on the hood) and they could bring it by, but I wouldn’t want it.

Also, I could take possession with a 7-day trial, but when I asked him whether there were any fees, he (the Carvana man, who called me) said I’d have to call headquarters as he didn’t know (note- I knew, because there was a glitch in the system which required that I sign the contracts at least 4 times, so I read them 4 separate times). He canceled the order and I placed another order for another, much more expensive car (with more miles too). Delivery was scheduled for today. Stupidly, I took yet another day off of work... and- it happened again. A very snarky girl called me the morning of delivery. Again. And said, this time, that despite me placing the order nearly 2 weeks ago, the car wasn’t ready. I explained that I had now taken 2 days out of work for these 2 delays. She told me that it was 1 delay. She was wrong.

I asked for compensation for my 2 days of lost work (why couldn’t they call me the day before either time??) and she snarkily said that of course she would offer compensation but would have to put me on hold first to reschedule my delivery for days from now. She came back on, and told me she would offer me $25 per day for the delay, for a total of $75. It’s the second delay, and that’s 11 days, not 3. That’s $275, not $75. And 2 days of lost work is way more than that. Messed up in 2016, but fixed it. Damaged car in 2020 and then delayed delivery a week later? No. After the first issue, one of my friends asked whether this was really better than dealing with a dealership. I can say for sure now, after 2 missed deliveries, that I have learned my lesson. Stay away from Carvana.

The list of flaws is endless. I chose this one from their website because it had the least mileage, only 1 minor scratch on the rear bumper and had passed Carvana’s 150-point inspection.

To begin with, the car was delivered 2 days after their delivery date, even after paying $400 for delivery. There was so much dirt inside and out, I couldn’t even see out from the windscreen. They gave me $100 for interior cleaning but, it doesn’t cover any standard interior detailing cost. The 7-day return date was also wrong in their system. It started on the day I was supposed to get the car, which I clearly didn’t. They changed that after I had to ask them twice. There were so many issues with the car, which wasn’t mentioned on their website. I pointed it out on the first day itself.

I was given two choices – either to return the car but lose on my delivery charge or they assured, they’ll take care of the issues. I opted for the later one and thought it’d be good to get it fixed and not lose on my $400 as well. As I desperately needed a car. They started with discarding a lot of the things I pointed out, saying it’s normal wear and tear. They agreed to fix the rest. I had to do rounds of two workshops – a body shop and an authorized dealership to get the quote on the damages. Run it through them. Constantly talk to their so called “Customer Advocate” and their warranty provider SilverRock.

After lots of to and fro, and getting few things changed on the quote (for which, I had to do rounds of the repair shops and constant calls with them), they agreed to pay for it. The car was at the body shop for nearly a month because of the holiday season and waiting on parts. After a month of not having my newly purchased car, the body shop fixed the damages and handed the car back. I was allowed to have a rental for that period, but they only cover $40 a day. There was a time when my expenses went over $40 including the Uber rides, and they declined to reimburse the additional expenses. Have I had my car, I definitely wouldn’t have to go through this pain and loss of money.

Now the other issue that happened was of the car registration. I was constantly in touch with Carvana customer support saying that I haven’t received my registration papers but, I was always told to relax and that, I’ll receive it in time. One employee even went ahead to tell me that I’ll directly receive the license plates without signing any documents. And as expected, they failed to send me the documents. It was when my temporary number expired and I told them again, is when they realized and sent me the documents. Now after receiving the documents, I was given a strict turnaround time because they had to pay for a rental for me since I couldn’t drive my car with an expired number.

Since it was a holiday time, I had prior plans. After a lot of calls with them, they agreed to extend the deadline a little but with a disclaimer, if I failed to turn in the documents before that, I’ll have to pay for the rental out of my pocket. All this suffering for their lack of responsibility to send me the documents in time. Well, out of the fear of bearing expenses again from my pocket, I had to follow their deadline.

After all this hustle, I took the car to the Chevrolet authorized dealership to get the mechanical issues fixed. And the car was in such a mess that the authorized dealership is still trying to fix it. Even they are not able to fix the car and don’t understand what the issue is. Now again it has been about two weeks and the car is still at the workshop. They have fixed part of the issues but, still figuring out some issues.

Out of the three months of ownership of this car, I don’t remember even a single month where I had the car with me. I feel like I’m just donating the money I pay in installments in the last 3 months. I also don’t understand what kind of 150-point inspection do they perform because the car is clearly out of shape. And let me tell you, there wasn’t any other problem that I found later. All these issues that are still getting fixed, are the ones I noticed on day 1.

I’d strongly suggest not to opt for Carvana. The number one reason being, there isn’t a physical entity, or a single person you can go to and hold responsible. Their staff is clearly not at par. You also have to explain yourself every time you talk to them because, it’s a new person as always. I might have invested close to 40 hours in just dealing with their Customer support on call, chat and e-mails. Then it was the warranty provider SilverRock on call and e-mails. Then it was the body shop on calls, e-mails and in-person. And then it was the authorized dealership on calls, e-mails and in-person. And yes, also the rental car agency visits, the waiting for pick-ups and drops. The cancelation of your plans. Because as per Carvana’s behavior, it feels as if they think I don’t have a personal or professional life and I have all this free time to invest dealing with them.

I’ve become a fool in front of my friends who constantly tease me for buying a piece of crap. Even the workshop guys have seen me so often in the shop that they pity me now. I could go on and on about this and there are certainly more things to say but, I’ve already written a lot and so I’d like to stop. It was my worst decision to get a car through Carvana. I highly regret it now.

I purchased a used 2017 Mazda 6 from Carvana with only 20k miles on it which arrived 4 days ago. First item to not me is if you finance through a 3rd party, you will not receive your car in 48 hours as advertised. That process takes much longer and will be several days. Carvana says they do a thorough 150 point inspection... I took it to a mechanic I trust to get another pre-purchase inspection. Turns out I had extremely dirty oil, my car battery isn’t functioning properly which caused a ton of codes to be pulled up, and my cabin air filter is in need of replacement. What a horrible inspection job they did! I had to jump through all kinds of hoops to get the oil change reimbursed and not even sure they will cover the cabin air filter. I haven’t received the check yet for the oil change, so we will see if they follow through.

I don’t understand how something basic like an oil change isn’t even done and the scary thing is they documented the oil as being changed! This is shady and unacceptable in my opinion. If you do go with Carvana, immediately take it to get an inspection done. I ended up having to go to the dealership since the battery was causing codes to malfunction and my original mechanic wasn’t sure if they were actual issues or just due to the battery. Be very careful as Carvana wasn’t nearly as helpful as I would have hoped they would be! I wasted an entire day that I ended up having to take off of work because I was trying to get these issues resolved before the 7 day window lapses in case the issues were serious. Please be careful!!

I have purchased many new and used vehicles in my life, and the one thing I dread is spending hours at the dealer, so I wanted to give Carvana a chance. The process of looking, buying, picking up, etc. was great. The nightmare began after I picked up my vehicle. After ten days, the engine light lit up, and then a few days after the brake light. I made all of the calls I needed to make and had to wait for the day of my appointment. The engine light issue was covered under the BMW warranty, but the brakes were not, of course.

CARVANA did not want to cover the expense, and neither did SilverRock stating that those are wear and tear. (I had just purchased this vehicle days ago!) The reality is that CARVANA doesn't even bother to inspect their vehicles. So, I bought this car; I had to pay $1,580.00 for brakes and still pay the first car payment. It was the worst experience I have ever had, and I will never buy from CARVANA again, nor will I recommend it. I, instead a thousand times, spend hours at the dealer knowing that I will get a vehicle that has at least been inspected. So, customer to customer DO NOT buy a vehicle from this company!

I 1000% do not recommend this company. Here’s why: I bought a car in 2018 and the transaction was seamless. Fast forward to 2019 and they completely drop the ball In communication. As we know Carvana houses 15-20 THOUSAND cars at an offsite location. It just so happened that the car I chose was “incorrectly scanned into the wrong location (New Jersey)” 3+ weeks in a row and the only way they could seem to notify me was as I’m on my way to pick up the vehicle. I missed days of work because of this. To rectify the situation I was offered a $300 check which actually was only $100. After calling and talking to at least 3 people who did not care to correct nor inform me that it in fact was a $100 check. I’m like, “I didn’t pull this number out of my rear end.” I SPECIFICALLY heard your representative mention this $300 dollar amount.

It’s like they have nothing better to do than to play words games and make fun of (in my case) living in an area that gets pretty cold, with a child, and walking. But since they have a 4.7 star rating they don’t care about the daily lives of people. Any sort of disruption to the non customer facing way they do things is an inconvenience to them. It sickened me to purchase a car from this company. This second experience alone makes me wish this company was not operating. They were THAT cold and deliberate in their mission of not giving a flying duck. This company is absolute trash. No one wants to sit at a dealership all day or pay for the marked up prices but I ONE MILLION PERCENT WOULD GO THAT ROUTE THAN TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY THAT DELIBERATELY CUTS CORNERS AND DOES NOT CARE. Do. Not. Buy. Here.

Negatives: THEY DO NOT CHECK THE CAR BEFORE SELLING. TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC! My car had a flat tire by the 8th day. The mechanic found lots of issues with the cv joints, engine mounts, and oil leak. Both rear tires are bad. One was flat by day 8.

My son bought a car from Carvana a few months ago and unfortunately I could not be present when it was delivered. A few days later I noticed the tires were mismatched and not even the correct size for the make and model. We even had a mechanic confirm the tires were mismatched. When my son called Carvana to have the situation corrected they refused to take any ownership of the problem -absolutely pathetic. I'm sorry I even referred him now especially after I had to spend $445 for 4 new tires! No worries though, there are plenty of competitors eager to have our business.

My own experience with Carvana was also problematic in so much as they delayed delivery of my vehicle on two different dates and both times required me missing work in addition to rescheduling a trip which caused me to incur re-booking fees. I attempted to convey to two separate "Customer Advocates" of how this inconvenienced me and caused me out-of-pocket losses forcing me to re-schedule my trip but all they could do was apologize stating that's just how it is with little to no understanding of my burdens. If they can't honor the delivery date they display when you purchase a vehicle and take the credit hit they should not display it all or at least label it as an estimate.

After receiving my 3rd delayed delivery date I was looking at a little over 3 weeks from when I signed the papers. Heck, I could get a car shipped from overseas in that timeframe. I ultimately canceled my order after receiving the 3rd delayed delivery date and chose to purchase from my local Carmax. If the individuals in this thread left their reviews on social media platforms more people will be better informed of their questionable business practices.

Purchase was fairly easy, my vehicle arrive at the indicated day, however, when I paid it off early with a cashier's check, 4week-5weeks after which the company acknowledged they had received the check (which was certified), but they would not apply it to the account. I kept receiving call to pay my monthly note. When they had receive a CC of 8,000 dollars. I have a difficult time with the financing company used by Carvana to send my the title of my car. I have was about to file a compliant with BBB. So I will not use that financing company again. Carvana should work with a company with good customer service to retain their reputation.

Also from reading the reviews, I have carvana has not slacked in their customer service and integrity just because they are getting making names as the years go by and their customers have increased and for that reason they have watered down their customer service and integrity. And if they do, it will catch with them, when people beginning to have bad experience, they will stop honoring them. Also there other companies that has started vending and selling online car buying/selling. So just as anyone tried carvana, the other companies can be tried also. I do plan to purchase again from carvana, I pray I have the same good experience like last time. People keep up the reviews.

I purchased a car from Carvana, a 2017 Kia Sportage with only 12,235 miles. The purchase process was easy and I was excited to go pick up my car from the Houston, Tx vending machine. The car looked very nice inside and out when picking it up. On the drive home I noticed some shaking while applying the brakes. Pretty bad shaking, that concerned me. It was difficult to get to the right person to help me but I got set up with an NTB appointment to have the car looked at.

The technician at the NTB actually took me under the vehicle to show me that the car had clearly been flooded/underwater. There was rust and tarnish on the engine parts. He also showed me the brake rotors which did not look good at all. To add to all of this, the technician asked, "did you check the oil?" I said, "No, I actually didn't." And when he showed me I was appalled. The oil on the dipstick looked like milk, which is probably from water damage. I called Carvana and told them to come pick up the car. I am blessed that all this came to light within the 7-day guarantee and I can put all this behind me. Please be careful purchasing from Carvana and get your own inspection in the 7 day period.

I just bought a beautiful RR Velar from Carvana and I would recommend the experience to anyone that is thinking about using Carvana to buy their next car. I have to be honest, I was skeptical and my girlfriend tried to talk me out of it, however I found a great deal and I was willing to take a chance largely in part to their return policy and warranty. The buying process itself was very clear, easy, and straightforward. In fact, I would say it was superior to a traditional car dealer transaction. There was no haggling and paperwork was simple. Everything was done online.

Everything was smooth and perfect until I got the car delivered. Unfortunately there were some undisclosed cosmetic issues with the vehicle which I was not expecting. Although I was a bit annoyed, a quick call to Carvana eased all doubts. They were professional in handling the issues, and took care of all of them in a manner which I believe was representative of good customer service. The claims with Carvana’s insurance provider were quickly approved and I am getting the issues fixed. I am very satisfied with how that was handled. Long story short, I am happy with the whole purchase overall, and even though there were some minor issues I believe Carvana dealt with them properly. I ended up keeping the car and I recommend Carvana to anyone on the lookout for a car.

They have the Worst customers service. The don't honor their warranty. The 7 days shouldn't include holidays, weekends or how long it for the car to sits at the mechanic shop. They blame the customer for their problem they create. I bought the car on 23 December 2019 with the check engine light on. The sale person told me that Carvana mechanic couldn't figure it out. So I trust the salesperson that I should that it to a specialty mechanic and it could be fixed. I took the car to a specialty mechanic. They said it can only be fixed by dealership. Sliver Rock wouldn't guarantee it would be covered under warranty. Carvana said they had a special team that handles this type situations like mine.. but Carvana wouldn't guarantee they would cover it. I could not get the car in the 7-day window to the mechanic due to closed for Christmas holidays... was told it would affect the coverage.

I talk to the customer service manager. He said I should sell the car. Never do business with a company that does not stand by their warranty and does not make exceptions because of holidays and time in the shop that the customer can't control. Email. And for the phone manager that I talked to today that told me I should sell the car, that I just bought from Carvana should be fired or reprimanded for suggesting such an outlandish statement. He is the ideal of very poor customer management service. The car has been sitting at a mechanic shop longer than I have had in my possession. He should be ashamed of himself.

I filled out an online appraisal with Carvana and they appraised my car to be worth 5,683 dollars. I agreed to the proposed amount and set up a date to drop the car off to them. I was told I could use that value as a down payment on a car, and it showed as a credit in my profile. When I viewed any car, the credit was applied to the price. Then once their Black Friday sale began (they were offering 1,000 off all vehicles) the credit disappeared and when I attempted to do the redo the appraisal process, they now said my car was worth 3,400. The initial appraisal was two days prior and I used the exact same information.

When I called in they stated that the amount changed due to a change in mileage, but I submitted the second appraisal with the exact same mileage as the first (105,115). After talking with them over the phone they stated that they would not honor the original offer that we had both agreed on; and after pleading my case they stated that they would up the offer to 4,000 (1,683 less than the original offer). This was an intentional attempt to draw me in, then give me a much different offer. If I would have agreed to sell them my car at the amount they now want to offer, I would have been cheated out of over 1,600 dollars.

In my case integrated Navigation system was missing though they put that up in the description. We filtered down to the case specifically narrowing down to Cars with navigation. When I contacted them, they are offering $100 for the missed information. What if a pricier part was missing that costs thousands and all they offer is $100 for luxury car. That is an insult to the injury.

My brother-in-law had similar experience of missing blind spot though they advertised, and my first car came with broken keyfob. I had to spend a lot of time and effort to get it fixed. Employees at Carvana has no idea what they are doing, they are all highly disconnected for sure. They just beef up the advertising just to attract people from buying, it is an intentional and deliberate effort and later ask you to return the car within 7 days. Carvana is scam and illegit, please stay away from them. Never ever again!!!

I had a few minutes to see the ABUNDANCE of positive reviews on the site, and honestly am finding all these 5 star ratings "Too good" to be true. It's almost apparent they are fake, and paid for. My car arrives after 14 days of "Shipping". (In October) With two flat tires. Just dropped off, no delivery whatsoever. Since it too such a long time to ship, my 7 day test drive had expired. After informing the staff several times about this issue, no one corrected the 7 day timeframe to my knowledge, nor offered to correct the two flat tires I sent pictures of.

Then, withheld my temporary plates for 14 days, (which would not allow any test drive of the car whatsoever) because they "Lost my paperwork". After re-submitting the paperwork at least 3 times, they finally released my temporary plates so I could test drive, only to then refuse any repairs to the car. I was able to drive the car for two weeks, until those temporary plates ran out---Only to be told I would need to just wait on the actual plates to arrive. WELL----It has been 4 months! 4 months of constant phone calls, chats, and constant request to expedite this.

Carvana graciously offered to reserve me a rental car at a location over 4 hours away! (After requesting them to relocate reservation, I was denied.) After arriving to the rental car location, they didnt have my reservation information from carvana properly, and would not supply a car. So I drove home---another 4 hours with no car. They then offered $250---as I have been out a car I paid for for over 4 months. Thanks carvana.

This company has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wouldn't even tell my worst enemy to buy a car from Carvana. Let's start from the beginning, shall we?

I purchased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 on 8/2/19. The online transactions went smoothly but things began to fall apart when the delivery date came. I was scheduled to pick up my car on 8/2/19 at 4:00pm at the Gaithersburg location. About 2 hours before delivery I received a call from Carvana saying that delivery would be delayed because the vehicle failed Maryland State Inspection due to the brakes. (FYI, the car was advertised as having brand new brakes) I needed the vehicle 8/2 because I was heading out on a road trip on 8/3 so this presented a big issue.

I chatted in with a rep and kept pushing the issue that they needed to get this resolved ASAP as I needed the vehicle for the 3rd. After a lot of back and forth with the chat agent I was told there was absolutely no way I could have the vehicle that day and the EARLIEST I could have it was 10am on the 3rd. I got a phone call around 5:30pm from the Gaithersburg store saying my car was ready?! I live about 45 minutes from Gaithersburg and it was a Friday evening but I hopped in the car to get there before they closed at 7pm. The guy I dealt with at the store was friendly enough and the car was fine so I thought we were good to go. I inquired about transferring my registration from the vehicle I traded in and they said it would not be an issue. I had read reviews previously saying that the registration process was sometimes problematic but I tried to remain positive.

I was told that registration could take between 30 and 45 days depending on the STATE. The Carvana Owners Dashboard on their website had a countdown (I believe the countdown started at 30, could've been 45) of when you should expect your registration. Well the time expired on the countdown and I contacted them asking what the deal was. The chat reps insisted that it's possible that MD is slower than other states when it comes to registration and that I shouldn't worry. According to the rep all of my documentation was fine and they didn't need anything from me. I asked if it was possible for me to just go to the MVA and take care of it myself so I could be done with the waiting to which they responded that I could not because I financed through them so they had to do the registration.

On September 19th (48 days after purchase) I received an email from the registration department at Carvana asking me to provide proof of insurance because the initial proof of insurance had lapsed (my auto insurance renewed on September 16th). I was pretty peeved considering they specifically told me I would have my registration WITHIN a 30-45 day window YET this was just proof that they DID NOT EVEN SUBMIT THE PAPERWORK until I had the car for 48 days.... (To make matters worse, I had to continue to carry insurance on the X-Terra I traded in until I got the updated registration...) So their constant responses I got blaming the state of Maryland were all lies. I submitted the proof of insurance and like magic, I got the registration 2 days later.

I thought I was finally in the clear but started receiving emails from the MVA saying they got a notice from my insurance company that I dropped insurance on my Xterra (the vehicle I traded in) and that my registration and license could be suspended for driving without insurance... I submitted the Bill of Sale to the MVA and followed up with a call. The MVA indicated that they did not have the CX-5 on record and that the XTerra was still showing registered to me but they said it can take 4-6 weeks for their information to update so I didn't worry too much about it.

This week (November 11) I received a letter from my insurance company stating that I no longer held insurance on my Xterra and that the MVA can suspend my registration and/or license because of it. I contacted the MVA on November 14 to inquire whether or not my CX-5 is showing registered to me... Spoiler alert, it isn't. They are still showing I have the XTerra.

When I explained my situation I was told that the MVA could've returned my registration paperwork to Carvana due to missing information but they wouldn't have that documented so they suggested I contact Carvana. SO I contact Carvana and they tell me there is nothing on their end and the MVA probably screwed up and told me to call the MVA....again. So I did and man am I glad I did. I spoke with a titling specialist who indicated that she could see Carvana began the paperwork but never completed the sale. She said it could've been due to them not submitting the right funds with the paperwork or something else. The woman I spoke with escalated the issue to another person in titling to see if they had more insight on why the title was never completed.

I received a phone call from the MVA clerk, Lorrel (God bless this woman and her investigation skills) who informed me that Carvana never completed the transaction. The sale never happened. I got back in touch with Carvana and explained to them what the MVA was seeing. I provided the name of the MVA clerk and her phone number if they needed further guidance. Lo and behold the Carvana people voided, yes VOIDED the transaction. So a very long story short I have a car I've been driving around for months that apparently does not belong to me and has plates on it that used to belong to my xterra, basically a stolen vehicle.

I was told that they were resolving the issue and resubmitting the documentation immediately and that they would overnight my registration. That was yesterday. Today Hillary from Gaithersburg called me to give me some more bad news. Her bad news is that the MVA is saying the registration was not submitted within the allowed 90 days of purchase, thus another inspection would need to be done. Hillary assured me she would call the MVA branch manager to plead her case but that's where we are right now.

I am at my wits end with this company. I explained to Hillary that I'm basically driving a stolen vehicle and if I were to get pulled over this could be a HUGE issue to which she replied "yea that is a problem." I explained to her that this has been a nightmare since day 1 and I wished I never bought a vehicle from them to which she replied "well this happened because of one small mistake." ONE SMALL MISTAKE!? This company doesn't take responsibility for ANYTHING they do. I am honestly besides myself.

I will keep the original car until I find one that fits with down payment, in the meantime they had to rebuild the original car and it ended up putting me out of the 7 day return period. Very dishonest and deceptive car dealer.

Lack of communication about contracting out financing. Apparently, I was suppose to receive a "blue folder" when the vehicle was delivered. I did not receive this folder. Secondly, I was apparently told (although perhaps I am losing my mind) but have no record of being told that the finance company was not something they actually do...although this is what is advertised on their website. There isn't any mention of a 3rd party financing. It is assumed I will know that they don't do their own in house financing. I am not psychic. The first I heard of this company was in a text message and thought it was more telemarketers harassing me. This isn't okay. Consumers shouldn't have to try to figure out who is authentic and not. Companies should make as huge of an effort to relay the information of who the payment goes to as they do the registration. To the Consumer, it is maybe perhaps more important.

The result of all this is the payment went to the wrong place, I had to stop payment on the address located on all my contract paper. Wait another couple of days and then resend the payment (which I haven't done yet and will take a few more days). All of this and pay $30 for the reversal/stop payment. Not acceptable, quite distressing, and obviously not a professional way to do business. Please Jesus let the powers that be read this complaint, and if you are serious about selling cars online you better make this change. NOW.

This has become anxiety producing and overall doesn't bode well for the peacefulness of car buying over the internet. Thanks for thinking of your consumer first. Avoid this problem, make sure your contractor has time to send out snail-mail, or make sure you include this information in the registration packet. Wouldn't that just make a LOT of sense? Hire me. I'll improve your business... because right now no one answers your phones, the chat thing online is difficult and workers have too many conversations and are relying on scripts and formula pat sentences they can cut and paste. You need more telephone people and more coordination between the 3rd party vehicle delivery people, and your contract finance company.

I like how easy it is to see everything. It was so great seeing everything I wanted in cars I was searching for; I'd never go back to the old ways again. This is such a huge step for our future and makes car buying easy! I don't know what I'd do without it now. It was such a technological advancement in today's society. Can't wait to see what the future holds now. It was recommended by so many people and I seen advertising on YouTube for it so I decided to try and I wasn't disappointed.

Carvana is one of the best car searching platform, all cars are beautiful and good cars they provide. Also they provide very high and medium cars and their deal is great and you can appreciate their deals.

I thought Carvana would be great but next time I'd rather see and drive the car before it being dropped off to me. Carvana only has locations in a few major cities. The closest one to me at the time was Atlanta Georgia. I was living in NC so decided to have them drop it off. Overall the car looked just like the pictures on the website. There were some hidden fees about how much it cost to deliver the car. So your interest rates go up slightly. Other than that, I actually think the site is amazing. Carvana has great reviews and the interest rates are great. You get to drive the car for a month and if you don't want to keep it you can return it hassle free. That's what they say anyway but I'm sure there's some type of catch.

The overall experience was good because it could estimate how much the car I wanted cost compared to how much every other car is on the website of the choice. I like the features that show how much the payment would be per month with my credit score. But I do not like not being able to see the car I want in person until I go to the lot.

It was a well crafted website that had plenty of options and things I could look over within it. If I could spend more time on it and view everything it had, I'm sure I could find even more to it. Overall had a great search engine that included and made certain to take into account just how many things a person might be looking forward when searching for a car. If I had to include one issue I had with the site it is the matter of finding a very special kind of car. They had me down to the brand but after that the whole process got a bit more tricky.

I like it because it's very helpful in lots of ways and it makes looking and searching for a car easy and fun and it keeps you safe and secure.

I had a great experience. Easy and quick, faster than I expected. Great customer service and very helpful. Also, very fair pricing and easy financing options. I like that you can purchase a car completely from start to finish in the comfort of your own home, no sales people to deal with, financing options and amount were made known almost immediately.

The site is pretty well laid out but it could be made better as search is pretty rudimentary. Search is more company oriented than customer oriented. Other than that, customer service is pretty good as they follow up literally in real time.

I bought a 2015 Honda Minivan. I like it. They took a month longer than advertised to get me the car. They were fine. The big problem was, I should have bought a local California Car. The car I got was from New York. It has corrosion from the salt and ice. Right now it is in the shop getting a new positive battery cable because it was corroded, loose and did not start, from the corrosion. This is not Carvana's fault, but again, I could have avoided the problem buying a local California car.

I was looking for a 2010-2013 Automatic Toyota Corolla with a light interior (I live in Arizona where a black interior is suicide in the summer). The site would not allow searching interior color, and most of the cars that came up had black interiors. Also, some of the photos were of different cars than the car listed. One I saw was listed as automatic, but the photo showed a stick shift. I never bought from them; found the car on Autotrader.

Eve Sleep was one of the cheaper brands and came as a set with the headboard. We really needed a mattress and we're not picky when looking - it was comfortable when we laid on it and in our price range. It is a California king size so it gives me and my fiancé enough space to spread out, plus it is long enough so his feet are not hanging off the end of the bed. However, it is a pillowtop mattress so it can't be flipped if I sweat a lot on the mattress. It also has springs in it and we are now feeling and hearing them because it is getting old.

It’s soft and has memory foam. It doesn’t make a squeeze sound. It is good quality fabric and you can personalize it without compromising the quality. It has a good size for the family that makes it easy and comfortable especially when you lay down. It also doesn’t get less softer even if it has been years. But, the price is a little expensive but it is worth it since it last longer. You have to see the product properly to make sure there’s no tear or alteration when you buy it.

I would like the mattress to have better handles on the side to flip it easily and move easily. But the mattress is great and we love it. It is high quality and at a very good price.

The mattress was on sale and much more affordable compared to the other brands that were in the store. Plus other people have mentioned this brand to me before so I thought it would be a good choice if I purchased it. Although the mattress does not have any luxury or expensive features, it is good enough to sleep on and lets me sleep all throughout the entire night. It is so comfortable. I really enjoy it too because it feels so good on my back when I lay down in it and try to go to sleep at night.
