Cargurus is Very Helpful with helping find Valuable Cars in different cities without having to actually be in that Particular City. I always recommend the website to family and friends and they always help me reach out to dealerships without the hassle of just looking for their location. It’s all available on the website and it’s a plus for car shoppers.

I think that they are treating me fairly. They also seemed like they really care about me as an individual not a number. They seem to get back to me in a very reasonable time limit. And I feel if I find a car I want they will put all effort to see that get a chance at getting the car at a reasonable price.

We did have an appointment. When we arrived we were shown a car with no back seat whatsoever. It was black which is fine but speckled all over with dots of white paint??? But I am an older woman and cannot visualize a car I can drive from that experience. The salesman was very personable though. I am trying to replace my beloved 2015 Nissan Versa note that was stolen from street in Philadelphia.

CarGurus found me somebody who bought my truck. Their platform was very user-friendly and I was able to maneuver. I put my truck out there and then one of the dealerships that’s affiliated with CarGurus called me. We talked and came to a price and I took the truck out there. They cut me a check. It was a very simple, 10-minute process. I would have wanted to get a little bit more money. We always wanna do that when we’re selling our used car but if I have another car that has to be sold, I will go through CarGurus again. I had a great experience with them.

We sold a car through CarGurus, and it was easy there. The reps were nice as well. I'd recommend CarGurus to other people.

Absolutely incompetent business and employees. As a dealership, we have constant issues with them not bringing over our entire feed- literally every single month there are vehicles that they have issues with on their back end and it takes weeks, not days or hours to get them to actually respond and start addressing the problem. We nearly need a full time employee to deal with this incompetent business.

Well, I just purchased my last vehicle and save a lot of time & headaches and tons of money by using CarGurus. I highly recommend it. Once I decided 100% on the make (Nissan)& Model/Trim level(Titan SV) then I decided on the exterior color (Deep Pearl Blue) and interior color (Beige). I did a Nationwide distance from me (Houston,TX) search. Then, I found the one that has the best price point to begin with. This brought me to a dealership in the Nashville, TN area.

I found the perfect car I wanted down to the color, price, place and even where I wanted to buy it. Car Gurus is to me the perfect place because they do all the work for you all you do is sit back and wait. Great place, I for one will go back and definitely recommend them.

Car Gurus definitely helped me in finding another vehicle. The only complaint is they kept sending emails for cars that were over the acceptable mileage and price limit I had set. That said, they assisted in contacting sellers and listings on website was easy to navigate overall. They were very personable and eager to assist.

I do not want to be blown up with salesman trying to sell me cars, which is why I am shopping online until I find something I like. I find what I think is a good match for me but it does not have any interior pictures which is not normal so when I ask for some answer I get is, "I can’t provide any without your full name and information" which I do not want to give out at this time That I will never be using your services again to shop For a car.

Imagine the hubris of man, believing I could travel such a vast distance in such a short time. Realizing my error only a hour before my deadline, I rushed to the aid of your tele-help specialist. They were able to take care of my issue in mere moments as a testament to their raw skill in communication and organization! An absolute legend among assistants. A wise business mind would keep them close and well fed.

When I requested Cash out the door no trade in Price, they simply raised the CarGurus' price by $2,000 as the new starting price cash prices. It appears many of the CarGurus dealers do the same thing or simply do not respond to request For “cash out the door no trade in prices”.

This is my first online vehicle purchase. I have received very good assistance with the initial steps needed to complete the purchase. Options have been presented and are understood. A1 customer service is what will complete this sale. So far, I am still looking at your items. Others have kept pushing higher priced vehicles. Vehicles that I clearly stated were out of my comfort zone, yet they kept pushing. With good communication I foresee a positive experience here.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I made a road trip today to take a look at used car at Pearson Ford dealership in Zionsville, IN. I called beforehand and confirmed they had the car in stock and scheduled an appointment. After investing the time to drive up to the dealership, inspect, and test drive the car, they refused to sell me the car at the advertised price and told me that it was mis-priced by mistake. They however would sell me the car at $5K above the advertised price. They then went on to show me they corrected the price on-line to be at the increased price. After getting home hours later I got back on my laptop and identified that the car is priced again at the lower sales price it was at earlier in the week and this morning before I went to see the car. By the way, the car is advertised at two different online car sites at the smaller price. It appears to be BAIT AND SWITCH! Terrible business.

So far so good. I appreciate the prompt response to my interest, plus the advertising ads and honest upfront information on the car it save time and allow a person to think and make a conscious decision on a car with this mileage. I am pleased. I would recommend a friend.

Worst experience I’ve encountered. I was prequalified, had a summary of the conditions and everything which I was OK with, had 3000 to put down, drove an hour to make my appointment at 1:30 which all salesman and everything was blind the fact that I was Coming. Test drove the vehicle, went back in thinking I just had to finalize the papers. Then the salesman told me that there was some weird thing with Kelley Blue Book and was denying me the vehicle but was willing to get me into something else after I was already preapproved and I was dropped off there had a ride a bus an hour back.

I love your site because I can filter for only "good" and "great" deals. I am helping a friend try to find something and I put only a specific year for "good" and "great" deals and nothing initially came up but when I put "Nationwide" about 7 came up and 2 were in Southfield MI which is less than 1000 miles and A cheap one way airfare. Your helper was great as I only text abs she was very responsive and helpful. She couldn't answer all my questions but will have someone call back Monday. Great experience overall.

I advertised my vehicle for sale in CarGurus, and it directed me to a dealer down in Parker, Colorado, and they had issues with the quote that CarGurus gave me. The dealer that CarGurus provided to get this offer for my vehicle were pushing back, and they said that they're upset with CarGurus because they overpriced it. I was like, “Well, wait a minute. This is what they gave me.” $9,551 was the amount, and they didn't wanna pay that. They told me the quote was too high for the car. They wanted to offer me something a lot lower, but I refused that. I would think if I'm receiving a quote from CarGurus and they're pointing me to that dealer, they should abide by the entire amount. That doesn't make sense to me.

Was looking for assistance regarding 2 attempts of seeking Information from dealer of vehicle is available with no response. As I was texting with agent he just end the conversation and cuts me off. See attached file. Very poor customer service from dealer along with your customer service ending conversation mid discussion.

The site is very thorough in the amount of info given to make it easier to choose to contact the seller. You have everything listed, price, mileage, price, dealer, and a monthly payment calculator is the best. Car Gurus has really thought of everything one would need to help the car buyer to make an educated decision when purchasing a car.

It was great with CarGurus. I decided to sell through them because of the higher price and my experience with their platform was good. It was a perfect experience.

My experience with CarGurus was good. It's a corporate company. So, I was less worried about the whole transaction because it was more professionally done. Initially, they called me right away and I gave them what they wanted. I can only do so much. The next morning, they came back and said, "All right. We'll honor whatever you want. You just need to come in and transition the vehicle." Valerie was highly-professional. She made sure that everything was done perfectly and the transition was so smooth.

The customer service was great. I inquired about a vehicle and received immediate response from CarGurus and the dealership. Thank you so much for your assistance. Using CarGurus was easy. They referred me to a Cadillac dealership in Costa Mesa, GMC Cadillac, and the gentleman that I worked with was experienced. GMC Cadillac was a nice dealership with good customer service, and they gave me the highest offer. They took into consideration the condition of my particular vehicle and the past work that I put into it. They didn't just give me a generic offer. They said, "Oh, we can see that you fixed the radiator, and you fixed the water pump." If someone's looking for an alternate deal that's better than CarMax's offer, sometimes they have to research their options. People never know who will give them a better offer.

I went on CarGurus to get an estimate to see what they would give me for a vehicle. I just entered my information into the system, asked what was the best value I could get for the vehicle, and hit submit. They came back and their quote was a little better than everybody else's. I'd tell people to at least give them a shot for a quote.

I got an offer from somebody, and my experience went well. It was easy, and the dealership was really good.

I’m very disappointed with how you all leave me right up to the point of wanting to make a purchase and then you just drop out leaving me just kind of hanging with the dealer. I think that your company should carry a client or customer all the way through the process to the very end, I’m looking and I’m lost.

Dealership will not get ahold of me about a car I have inquired about several times. I have texted multiple times and nothing back. No follow up on CarGurus part either. I would like to test drive and ask about the frame damage. I don’t know what ride to say.

Mariel's response to my initial request for additional information and pictures of the vehicle. Mariel was also quite understanding of what is included in the dealer's safety inspection. It was a very smooth and pleasant interaction. I have used CarGurus in the past and been pleased with the selection of vehicles, available filters and assistance when needed to follow up with the sellers.

I purchased a new vehicle and sold my car also, and the CarGurus platform was not too difficult to navigate. However, I keep getting emails about vehicles available despite already purchasing a vehicle. Besides that, I was at the dealership for several hours, and my interactions with the reps went well. They were very helpful and it was a smooth process. It was a good experience. The price could have been a bit better, but it was a fair deal for me and for them and they didn't make it difficult. They were upfront about the cost. We discussed it and came to a good agreement.

I told the chat agent about a vehicle that I'm interested in and asked if the price is negotiable. The agent had thanked me for my interest and proceeded to contact the dealership direct to inquire about the question that I had asked. Then they informed that someone from the dealership will contact me as soon as possible. They were courteous and professional.

Auto dealer with the car was terrible. After 4 days attempting to make contact, no one ever replied to a single email, text, online form, nor phone call. Very disappointed as I wanted to see the truck and ready to pay cash. Not sure why no one ever contacted me regarding a look, test drive, or purchase. Disappointed!

I like that CarGurus has a good and fair price. It was a good experience. I was inquiring about a 4Runner that I had seen. They did not bombard me with phone calls. So, that was great. When I said I preferred text messaging, that was exactly what they did. They understood that I wanted to be reached through text message. So, that was a good thing.

I don’t know whether I should be angry with the dealership, Aztec Motors, or with Cargurus. I researched three Hyundais with similar prices and mileages. I opted to get the one that advertised a backup camera and a blind spot monitor. When checking the car out, I learned to my dismay that it had neither. When I brought this to the salesman’s attention (and even showed him the ad), he blamed Cargurus, saying that they’ve done it before and that they have been advised of the problem and that they continue to post ads with this type of error.

I spoke with two of the gentleman man and a kept passes me on. I just wanted one answer question. I could either do one of them. Now do you guys want me to continue this and send this on and I don't think you want me to come over and really.

I really wanted the Chev Cav but they wanted all money at once. I am disabled, on fixed income, it so sad they would not even work with me. I am 58, people need to understand we need a little help. I have no way around. I was gonna make down payment but they want full price. I almost cried. I really like that car. It's ok. The Lord provides. I will pray on it. I had a question about whether a car dealership in GA does home delivery or not, CarGurus agent was very quick in responding my question and answered my question. Very good customer service, great experience. Dennis is great.

Still not sure if this vehicle has a towing capability. If it does I am very interested. So far the process has been smooth and simple. My questions though not completely answered have been addressed. For example; how does the delivery system work? Will the car be delivered to my home or to the Subaru dealership in Pueblo, Colorado and if to the dealer will they have a fee for their part in the delivery?

Thank you for posting prices, but dealerships are using your website to lure customers to shop. Cargurus post the price and dealers tell you another price 3-4K more than asking on the dealer site. Once you call or visit, then it’s a back and forth conversation to validate the price or match said price minus the savings posted.

It's good, I liked it. It was nice, they show you everything that you need in order to find a good car. I come to Car Gurus to find cars. They have really good cars that's why I always come here to shop and will always do. I like the models they have, the cars they have are no well condition and well taken care of.

Best Buy of Dream Vehicle. For a few years now I have dreamed of buying a electric vehicle and I couldn’t make my mind up about which one or anything. About two months ago I caught glimpse of a Cadillac LYRIQ, not knowing anything about it I started trying to research as much as I could about it. I was in love with what I saw and I wanted it with a passion. I am a true car enthusiast and we have wide range of them here at home, but I still wanted that LYRIQ. For weeks my mind dwelled on it more and more. Finally, thought I would price them out online. Then, on CarGurus came the world's best dealership Lavery Automotive in Canton Ohio. That’s right, not only the home of the NFL Hall of Fame but also the home of one of the best dealerships I have been in.

I searched up how much my car is worth. I clicked on CarGurus on the web, and I put in my card information. Then the dealer reached out. My experience went well. They were tough negotiators, but I was happy with how it turned out. They're really nice. Everything got settled in about two hours.

I called to see if they could do a transfer of my car to them and the car sold transferred to me. Online it says they do transfer but I wasn’t sure if they incorporated my car as the trade in. And before I put $500 to hold the car I wanted to know for sure the protocol. I called only to be met with someone who sounded way off in the distance and very bothered by me calling. As if I was really a bother to them. As I asked these questions I was met with information totally not pertaining to my initial question. And then initially told no, they can’t do this. Without speaking to a sales person or anything. You’d think they’d be a bit more professional considering they were about to make a $10,000 sale. But nope.

I attempted to sell my vehicle through CarGurus. I ended up getting a notice on my phone that they had found dealers who were willing to pay $5,800 for the vehicle. I responded to it. It came up that one of the dealers was located near me. I took the car to that dealer but the dealer ended up only giving me 4,800 for it. I said, "How come I got this letter, saying that you were one of the dealers that was willing to give me $5,800." They said, "We don't know, but we'll have to look into that." And that was pretty much the end of it. I was a little disappointed that I was misled by the amount. The people were nice enough. It was also a nice facility. But they didn't have any answers for me. From a monetary standpoint, it was disappointing. But everything else was straightforward. CarGurus gave me the information that I wanted. I just didn't end up with that information when I went to the dealer that they recommended.

I was selling a car to the dealer that CarGurus put me in touch with. They responded and I got my offer quickly.

CarGurus' price was better than any other and their platform was good. I was trying to appraise a little bit with the dealer that they connected with because the car is a little bit worthier than the number. It was still better than other websites' offering. CarGurus gave me a better price, but I was expecting a little bit more. Everything else with CarGurus was fine.

The whole process went very good.

I tried to sell the vehicle through CarGurus. I had it listed. But CarGurus made their policy change, dropping all private individuals being able to sell their vehicle on CarGurus effective July 26th. They closed off all previous correspondence that have been on there. I couldn't go back and reach out to it. They completely cut it all off. They sent me a thing and asked, "How was your experience with CarGurus?" I thought, "You gotta be kidding me if I'm gonna answer that." Their policy was knee-jerk and half-through. I went back three weeks ago so it could reach out to dealerships or who wanted to do it. I accepted an offer from a dealership, which worked out very well.

Everything is going real smooth. No hang up yet, I’m satisfied with the approach. They show interest in what I need, I would recommend any of my family and all my friends, I may come back after I make a couple years after I make a few payments. Thanks again. Juan **

I inquired about this car multiple times and every time I inquired about this car they said it's sold but then every time it's supposedly sold it's back on CarGurus so I'm very very dissatisfied because I'm not getting a straight answer from the dealership or from anybody else as to what's the availability of this car.

Advertised with 81,500 miles and picture they provided shows 140,000 odometer reading. Won't answer text or phone. Need to know the correct mileage. I'm interested in the car but live a 110 miles away and I am disabled plus I am 70 years old. I just need to know what the correct mileage on the car before I make a hundred mile trip.

I was looking at Tesla. Had a couple questions. They could not answer them. No information available. They automatically assumed to share my information without consent. I said, "Do not." He said, "No worries. I will right now." I said, "No. Do not. Do not."His response, "Ok. Thanks for the warning." Try reading instead of assuming.

I just felt I was getting no help, it said I was pre-approved, and I had no guidance on what to do next, I was interested in a few trucks, but had no idea on what the capabilities were for my pre-approval. And now this site isn't even going to allow me to leave this

I'm shopping for a very specific vehicle: A Mini Cooper Countryman John Cooper Works edition, all-wheel drive. So far, I've come across two different vehicles at two different dealerships that have had incorrect information in the ad. The first dealership blamed CarGurus. I did not communicate with the 2nd because I realized the model they were advertising did not match the vehicle. It's hard to trust CarGuru's advertisements when the ads are sometimes not accurate. I was formerly willing to shop long-distance, but now I've lost my confidence in the ads being accurate, and will have to probably stick to shopping more locally so I can see the car in person before I buy it.

No real people to talk with. Only chatbots, wasted 20 on text with chat bot. What are your hours PST? Shopping for car and have cash in hand, don't need financing. Old guy here with cash. Not someone who needs credit check.

CarGurus made finding a vehicle very simple. The interface allowed me to shop for vehicles in my price range easily. I was also able to schedule a test drive with the dealer that had what I was looking for. Definitely would recommend to anyone searching for a vehicle that conforms to their budget!

Updated on 10/16/2024: There was no spare tire with the car. I have replied several times and complained but no one will answer my inquiry. Both CarGurus and Wells completely ignore my request. So far, my experience is completely unsatisfactory, and I will rate you accordingly. If this continues I will never use CarGurus for anything again.

We did extensive research on car guru and other websites. We kept coming back to CarGurus due to all the information about each vehicle given along with CARFAX info. Made our shopping easier. When we went to the dealer the assistance was also exceptional. Will always recommend car gurus.

Had been looking to purchase a vehicle online. The service was good. Just the timing and getting back with someone. Looking at the different models and doing a comparison to the one that gives me the things that I wanted in the vehicle. The color, style and the different things that was offered with that model. Have looked at this style of vehicle at Cadillac for years. I had went to a dealership and set in the vehicle and got the booklet for that model to take home and read and learn more about Cadillac.

My first experience was when you guys promoted this company to a online based successful platform was when I was high school 2016 I been looking wanting a car from you guys every time I look which is frequent meaning about 5 times a months. My experience with CarGurus was good. It was informative. I got a deal from Tustin GMC by the website that CarGurus suggested. It worked out. However, online when you look at a car and you go back, it goes all the way to the top page or through the bottom car that you were looking at. That was my only issue. But other than that, their website's good.

I was set up with an approval email and an appt. To go get a pick up. I live on an island far from where the pick-up was being sold. I had to take a ferry and drive in traffic for 5 hours all to be told that I could not get approved. It was a long expensive trip. I'm still not home. It's 3:37 am and the next boat home leaves at 4:15 am and costs near a $100.00. I think this isn't very professional and now I still don't have a vehicle. Very sad day.

I am very disappointed in one of the car dealerships I got from your site namely Adelsa Auto in Orlando Fl. We purchased a car on the 5th and I flew back to work in Oregon. 5 days after the sales person asked my son for more documents. He provided and they said bank couldn’t get employer so the declined. They made him go back and sign with another bank he verified everything and we thought all was good. Later they sneaked to my home and stole the car from my son. I am in a legal battle now and won’t trust dealers like them.

CarGurus is easy to use and they helped in my negotiation for my new car. Their platform was very simple and easy to interact with. It was easy to click on the different information about my car. They gave me the highest offer but the dealership didn't use that because once they saw my car in person, it may have had a few more dings on it than it actually did. But sight unseen like with the mileage and everything in my car, CarGurus gave me the highest, and I was trying to use that as a negotiating tool.

If CarGurus gave me double of what they gave me, that would be better. Other than that, I made an appointment and the buyers ended up buying the car right there. I was happy with it.

I'm an auto broker so I buy and sell cars for a living and CarGurus is one of my favorite platforms I like to use. It's easy to filter things and it makes it easy for me to look through things. One thing I'd change is when you try to locate a vehicle. Let's say, I just search for Porsche, it doesn't allow me to search a distance unless I go down to the trim model or be more specified on what I'm looking for exactly. But other than that, everything else is perfect. Selling the vehicle, I just put in the information and then it blasted it out to the dealerships. I get bids and I take it the dealership. The boss was super easy and quick that we had a great experience with that.

I like CarGurus because they offer descending deals. I like the fact that you can put it in the order of the best deal first. CarGurus was also holding a sale on this car that the dealership didn't even know about. I don't understand the relationship between dealerships and CarGurus. I bought a car for $2500 less than the dealership even knew about.

I’ve been checking CarGurus site for about three years and found better information, tailored to my interests and area and prices than all the other used car site apps. When I had a question about a listing, I got immediate response so I rate them highest. Of course, anyone buying a used car has to do some research on their own but as far as a car listing site, I found Car Gurus to be the best at listing used cars at all the different price levels.

This site nice to see all around the states. Car are everywhere. The information nice to see used and new prices. You can't negotiate the price when it's a high market on the vehicle. Used car dealers can not be trusted so it's important to get some short term guarantee.. Sadly the dealer would not respond!! Be careful of a used car dealer!!!

Filtering search by options desired appears to be a little tricky and the vehicle search sites are all different for selecting those options. I am still learning about the stability for how to keep my selections or, edit as may be necessary as I have initiated searches on varying sites.

Unfair practices to those of us paying for ads and now they are canceled. After taking my payment...now you guys renege on our contract. We are left helpless. I'm trying to purchase a 2017 Cadillac XT5 on your website. I'm getting very little response from anyone. A Carfax indicates there is a possibility of a mileage rollback. See attached link. What did you find out? Below is the Carfax link showing the mileage on 1/24/2018. 8894 miles. It went from 8894 back to 3759 miles on 5/30/2018. That is a 5135 mile rollback. I still have a question on the miles for the XT5.

They added four thousand dollars to the price from the website. This is false advertising. They have Very poor service and communication. They offered to email me pricing and details and never did get any information to me. A different person, a third party, sends text message with higher price and not sharing any further information except the ridiculous higher price.

Since when is someone denied access to something that is being sold to anything being sold online. Was this a joke or something? I had a 2015 Murano and a 2019 Murano so being denied access to a 2024 is not funny to me and I hope someone will explain.

I plugged in all the info on CarGurus, and I got their preferred dealer. It showed the offer and it implied that that was an actual offer and if I bring it in, they'd write me a check. I brought the car into the dealer to get what they offered which is 36,500. They looked at the car and they didn't say anything. Everything checked out because the car was near perfect. But they tried offering me 34k, I was really confused. I don't know whether that was an issue on CarGurus' side or if that was on the dealership's end.

I was trying to sell my car through a couple of different websites, and the platform with CarGurus was easy to use. I liked it. I got an estimated value, then one of the dealerships said, "We pay the highest." So, I ended up calling that dealership, and they were very friendly and nice. I would recommend CarGurus. Was in the middle of answering a question and was basically cut off and told I would be contacted by a salesman and that the chat was ended. Your chat needs to be adjusted to actually give time b/t asking questions and for the person to actually be able to answer the question.

The online price was around $22,000. When we got to the dealership 1 hour away the price presented was almost $32,000 because of all the add-ons. Classical bait and switch. They lied multiple times and tried to convince us that the monthly payments wouldn’t be very different. See actual quote attached. Worse experience of five dealers we went to.

Several times now Car Gurus advertise a vehicle, approves the loan and terms, you show up at Mike Calvert Toyota Houston Texas, very large and reputable Toyota dealer Mike ** lead finance manager says come on down. You spend your time and gas money and Mike Calvert Toyota says no such deal exists even though it’s on their computer. This is such a scam. Will report you to Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton. He wrote the abortion law in Texas and he shut down the border with Mexico. He will also shut you down in Texas for scamming honest Texas citizens. We don’t want your kind of operation in Texas. Elon Musk moved here to do honest business but Car Gurus. Shame on you.

CarGurus is good for trying to find cars but not for selling them. I was trying to sell my car on CarGurus, but it would let me do it because it's not for private sellers.

The experience was fine. However, the recommendations as to what the price might be was off because CarGurus suggested a dealership that would pay a few thousand dollars more than what the dealership was willing to pay. It was a little surprising because they all said that the car was in immaculate condition. If it was in immaculate condition based upon what they heard from me and when they saw it, I was surprised as to why they wanted to submit a lower figure. Beware of liars. I had three other offers, and they were several thousand dollars less than what CarGuru said it would be. So, CarGuru was an outlier.

With all due respect, the only way to describe my visit today, other than a waste of time, is total clown show. The only benefit to me is that I’ll know better than wasting my time in the future. I’m interested to share my experience online to see what others think. Thanks.

I was trying to sell a vehicle through CarGurus but the two individuals who reached out to me from companies that they partner with shot way below the market value of the vehicle. They were apparently sending it to auction and they needed to maximize their profit over what it was actually valued at. I get it but at the same time, I know what the vehicle is valued at. So, I didn’t even sell through CarGurus. But their platform is perfectly fine and I had no issues with that. In fact, I liked their platform better than CARFAX, especially when using their app and website because there are a lot more filters that you can use compared to CARFAX.

Cargurus does nothing to help consumer buying vehicles on their platform if they have an issue with dealer. Elite Auto Group Chicago never sent me title for vehicle. CarGurus didn't step in. They said I am on my own. Bought rust bucket place in Chicago. Didn't tell me when asked if it had rust before purchased. Seller said no significant rust.

I put in my car information and CarGurus gave me several options from different dealers. The online platform was very user-friendly. We went ahead with one of them and walked into the dealer with that offer. I called first to make an appointment and confirm that they would honor that. They said they would take a look at it and try to match it as close as possible, but they would have to see the car physically. They came in 120 bucks under but it wasn't horrible. They ended up doing everything through FedEx 'cause the one that had to sign was in New York and the dealer was here in Miami. They sent me the FedEx label when they were sending everything so I could track it. It was a very easy experience.

I put my car up on CarGurus, and an affiliate of theirs locally ended up calling me, and that was who I sold my car to. CarGurus did a complete evaluation and they put my car up on an online auction, and that was how I ended up selling. I sold it to the local company, but based on the auction price. It was the best offer I got from anybody.

CarGurus would not post my review on Van Hyundai e., even though everything that I stated was true. I also posted several documents of proof. I guess it makes sense, after all Cargurus and the dealers that advertise on its site are business partners. Not allowing me to share my true experience with a dealer makes Cargurus a very misleading site to search on. This is a grave disservice to the retail consumer. Will not recommend using this site.

It’s was easy to apply to get pre-approved and had my answer in seconds, make me confident enough to get the car that I want with rates perfectly reasonable and with information to make that deal possible with the vin to check if the car had previously been in accidents.

We used CarGurus when my father passed away, we were gonna sell his car. My experience with the platform of CarGurus was great. However, I would not recommend the dealership that we sold the car to. Their paperwork was a bit lacking. First, they took the car back, and we had the CarGurus offer, then they came back with a different offer. We were like, “No, we have the offer on paper.” We also had to visually inspect the car. I said, “What was wrong with it?” There was nothing wrong. They just wanted to give us a lower offer. I did not appreciate that. None of their paperwork had any signatures anywhere. It was like, “Here's your offer and information.” We signed all the papers and they gave us nothing with a signature from them on it.

Everything was good with CarGurus. The only thing was they gave me one price but they ended up with another price.

This service is very misleading. I sent all my info for a unit. I was sent a email stating I was approved. The dealer where the unit was told me I had not been approved. Cargurus doesn't deal with lenders. I wasn't approved like they said.

I had a great experience with CarGurus. It was easy to use. It was also very easy to work with the person and they did the inspection fairly quickly. It was a smooth process.

The dealership name is XRIDE. I purchased a car from them via Car Gurus. When I picked up the car there was a check engine light on and the AC didn't blow cold. They called me back and told me they had corrected the repairs. The check engine light was off and the AC was blowing cold so I took delivery of the car. Within an hour of driving, my check engine light was on and the air was blowing hot. All they did was put a can of freon in a leaking system and they cleared the code. They lied to me about fixing. Now all they tell me is AS IS NO WARRANTY.

Got a Prius C from these guys, really great customer service and honest, guys here made sure everything was working properly. Quick keys in my pocket, let me test drive it as far as I wanted, very happy with this purchase and financing. A quick way to get a used vehicle that’s reliable.

CarGurus used to allow the general public put listings on their site. Now they just buy, provide lowball offers on your car or not let you view overpriced dealer cars. STAY AWAY, use Cars.com or Auto Trader, they still let the public post.

UNSCRUPULOUS, SCAMMERS, FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES.... To say the experience was bad is an understatement. I am pursuing legal action with the District Attorney and the DMV (licensing agent for dealerships). You would think that paying for a vehicle in cash would be a simple transaction, but I was sold a car that was not suitable for sale. After the 1st week, I was advised to go to their sister-dealership for service and almost 4 weeks later the car was returned to me after major work was done (engine mounts, transmission mounts, etc).... And that was only completed because I bought the $5k warranty.
