Clear, Concise, handled it very professionally. Provided great advice on how to obtain the best possible downpayment for a Ford Explorer XLT 2017 I was looking at. Best service possible. Would come out there myself to thank him/her, but regardless this had to be one of the best experiences I've had with a dealership online.

Riddle me this- why do I need to speak to CarGurus and spend more precious time with them when I could just talk directly with sneaky dealership? Plus site leaves much to be desired. I put 150 mile radius of Harlingen TX yet I get NJ, Georgia, Florida. I wish there were no such as car dealerships. Nothing has changed in 25 years.

I lost the car while I was texting. I guess I’ll get a call from the dealership. Delivery sounds pretty unique. I would like to have it delivered, but all I got was a text message. I don’t really know what to go from here. They didn’t judge me on my file file chapter 7 on my credit, but I’m sure the payments will be low enough.

Engine light was on, low air pressure light was on, low fuel light on, driver's side window control wouldn’t work… drove over an hour one way to see car… REGARDLESS of price these issues should have been addressed BEFORE being advertised or mentioned in the description so the buyer could make an informed decision on going to look at the car.

All I wanted was out the door price. I will be writing a check and kept getting all these damn text wanting be to fill out info where they pull my credit which is not needed. Still did not get the process. Waste of time and 10 long messages. Very frustrating and going to another site

Just wondering why it has a salvage title. Was it wrecked? If so what all happened and did they get it fixed back to original factory specs? For my sakes I hope so. Very nice looking truck. If the answers I get back I will be driving up there. I do have a trade in. Got 2004 Dodge 1500 Ram 4x4 lifted auto 5.7 4 door st pickup. 175000 miles.

These guys bait and switch constantly. And they have a Hyundai on their lot for over a thousand days. I show up to see and they tell me it's out for detailing, oil change or some other nonsense and lies. Found a car that looks promising. Tried the contact dealer process and had a chat with Mark L. Fast response, helpful, and courteous. Tried setting up test drive with dealer, but dealer (as usual with this place) not answering him. Told me he will continue efforts but gave suggestion on me following up as well. Nice experience, especially since I normally HATE these chats. Overall, I like the site, but with you guys gave links to Free Car-Fax or Free Auto-Check... but I guess that's up to the dealers themselves.

Even after holiday hours Josh and his rep were very helpful In reviewing my enquiry. Almost 100 % transparency for your website & services...EXCEPT, a disclosure of your fees, and procedures should be made upon signing up. I particularly don't like being referred to a dealer when I am just shopping.

Cargurus is Very Helpful with helping find Valuable Cars in different cities without having to actually be in that Particular City. I think that they are treating me fairly. They also seemed like they really care about me as an individual not a number. They seem to get back to me in a very reasonable time limit. And I feel if I find a car I want they will put all effort to see that get a chance at getting the car at a reasonable price.

We did have an appointment. When we arrived we were shown a car with no back seat whatsoever. It was black which is fine but speckled all over with dots of white paint??? But I am an older woman and cannot visualize a car I can drive from that experience. The salesman was very personable though. I am trying to replace my beloved 2015 Nissan Versa note that was stolen from street in Philadelphia.

CarGurus found me somebody who bought my truck. Their platform was very user-friendly and I was able to maneuver. I put my truck out there and then one of the dealerships that’s affiliated with CarGurus called me. We talked and came to a price and I took the truck out there. They cut me a check. It was a very simple, 10-minute process. I would have wanted to get a little bit more money. We always wanna do that when we’re selling our used car but if I have another car that has to be sold, I will go through CarGurus again. I had a great experience with them.

Absolutely incompetent business and employees. As a dealership, we have constant issues with them not bringing over our entire feed- literally every single month there are vehicles that they have issues with on their back end and it takes weeks, not days or hours to get them to actually respond and start addressing the problem. We nearly need a full time employee to deal with this incompetent business.

Car Gurus definitely helped me in finding another vehicle. The only complaint is they kept sending emails for cars that were over the acceptable mileage and price limit I had set. That said, they assisted in contacting sellers and listings on website was easy to navigate overall. They were very personable and eager to assist.

I do not want to be blown up with salesman trying to sell me cars, which is why I am shopping online until I find something I like. I find what I think is a good match for me but it does not have any interior pictures which is not normal so when I ask for some answer I get is, "I can’t provide any without your full name and information" which I do not want to give out at this time That I will never be using your services again to shop For a car.

When I requested Cash out the door no trade in Price, they simply raised the CarGurus' price by $2,000 as the new starting price cash prices. It appears many of the CarGurus dealers do the same thing or simply do not respond to request For “cash out the door no trade in prices”.

This is my first online vehicle purchase. I have received very good assistance with the initial steps needed to complete the purchase. Options have been presented and are understood. A1 customer service is what will complete this sale. So far, I am still looking at your items. Others have kept pushing higher priced vehicles. Vehicles that I clearly stated were out of my comfort zone, yet they kept pushing. With good communication I foresee a positive experience here.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I made a road trip today to take a look at used car at Pearson Ford dealership in Zionsville, IN. I called beforehand and confirmed they had the car in stock and scheduled an appointment. After investing the time to drive up to the dealership, inspect, and test drive the car, they refused to sell me the car at the advertised price and told me that it was mis-priced by mistake. They however would sell me the car at $5K above the advertised price. They then went on to show me they corrected the price on-line to be at the increased price. After getting home hours later I got back on my laptop and identified that the car is priced again at the lower sales price it was at earlier in the week and this morning before I went to see the car. By the way, the car is advertised at two different online car sites at the smaller price. It appears to be BAIT AND SWITCH! Terrible business.

Worst experience I’ve encountered. I was prequalified, had a summary of the conditions and everything which I was OK with, had 3000 to put down, drove an hour to make my appointment at 1:30 which all salesman and everything was blind the fact that I was Coming. Test drove the vehicle, went back in thinking I just had to finalize the papers. Then the salesman told me that there was some weird thing with Kelley Blue Book and was denying me the vehicle but was willing to get me into something else after I was already preapproved and I was dropped off there had a ride a bus an hour back.

I love your site because I can filter for only "good" and "great" deals. I am helping a friend try to find something and I put only a specific year for "good" and "great" deals and nothing initially came up but when I put "Nationwide" about 7 came up and 2 were in Southfield MI which is less than 1000 miles and A cheap one way airfare. Your helper was great as I only text abs she was very responsive and helpful. She couldn't answer all my questions but will have someone call back Monday. Great experience overall.

I advertised my vehicle for sale in CarGurus, and it directed me to a dealer down in Parker, Colorado, and they had issues with the quote that CarGurus gave me. The dealer that CarGurus provided to get this offer for my vehicle were pushing back, and they said that they're upset with CarGurus because they overpriced it. I was like, “Well, wait a minute. This is what they gave me.” $9,551 was the amount, and they didn't wanna pay that. They told me the quote was too high for the car. They wanted to offer me something a lot lower, but I refused that. I would think if I'm receiving a quote from CarGurus and they're pointing me to that dealer, they should abide by the entire amount. That doesn't make sense to me.
We negotiated back and forth. They paid me $8,750, which was about 750 less than CarGurus' quote. I was expecting 9,551. The dealership wasn't accepting it. That's a problem for CarGurus and the dealer. I went all the way down there for an hour drive, and they didn't wanna accept the offer that CarGurus provided. It was frustrating. It's the last time I go to CarGurus because they should have negotiations with their dealer, saying, “Hey listen, this is the price. And that's it.” If I would have known that they were not accepting these through CarGurus, I would never went down there. It was a terrible experience.

The site is very thorough in the amount of info given to make it easier to choose to contact the seller. You have everything listed, price, mileage, price, dealer, and a monthly payment calculator is the best. Car Gurus has really thought of everything one would need to help the car buyer to make an educated decision when purchasing a car.

My experience with CarGurus was good. It's a corporate company. So, I was less worried about the whole transaction because it was more professionally done. Initially, they called me right away and I gave them what they wanted. I can only do so much. The next morning, they came back and said, "All right. We'll honor whatever you want. You just need to come in and transition the vehicle." Valerie was highly-professional. She made sure that everything was done perfectly and the transition was so smooth.

Using CarGurus was easy. They referred me to a Cadillac dealership in Costa Mesa, GMC Cadillac, and the gentleman that I worked with was experienced. GMC Cadillac was a nice dealership with good customer service, and they gave me the highest offer. They took into consideration the condition of my particular vehicle and the past work that I put into it. They didn't just give me a generic offer. They said, "Oh, we can see that you fixed the radiator, and you fixed the water pump." If someone's looking for an alternate deal that's better than CarMax's offer, sometimes they have to research their options. People never know who will give them a better offer.

I went on CarGurus to get an estimate to see what they would give me for a vehicle. I just entered my information into the system, asked what was the best value I could get for the vehicle, and hit submit. They came back and their quote was a little better than everybody else's. I'd tell people to at least give them a shot for a quote.

Dealership will not get ahold of me about a car I have inquired about several times. I have texted multiple times and nothing back. No follow up on CarGurus part either. I would like to test drive and ask about the frame damage. I don’t know what ride to say.

I WAS EXCITED ABOUT A 3500 CHEVY SILVERADO FOR $48K. Not only was the price wrong, but the truck was already sold. Other than that, the way you guys have your online website isn't bad. I would appreciate it if you didn't have vehicles that are already sold on there.

I purchased a new vehicle and sold my car also, and the CarGurus platform was not too difficult to navigate. However, I keep getting emails about vehicles available despite already purchasing a vehicle. Besides that, I was at the dealership for several hours, and my interactions with the reps went well. They were very helpful and it was a smooth process. It was a good experience. The price could have been a bit better, but it was a fair deal for me and for them and they didn't make it difficult. They were upfront about the cost. We discussed it and came to a good agreement.

Auto dealer with the car was terrible. After 4 days attempting to make contact, no one ever replied to a single email, text, online form, nor phone call. Very disappointed as I wanted to see the truck and ready to pay cash. Not sure why no one ever contacted me regarding a look, test drive, or purchase. Disappointed!

I don’t know whether I should be angry with the dealership, Aztec Motors, or with Cargurus. I researched three Hyundais with similar prices and mileages. I opted to get the one that advertised a backup camera and a blind spot monitor. When checking the car out, I learned to my dismay that it had neither. When I brought this to the salesman’s attention (and even showed him the ad), he blamed Cargurus, saying that they’ve done it before and that they have been advised of the problem and that they continue to post ads with this type of error.
Mind you, of the other two vehicles I looked into, one showed a backup camera and the other showed neither backup camera nor a blind spot monitor. Although this may have been an inadvertent mistake on the part of the dealer, it was a misrepresentation nevertheless. To be quite frank, I don’t care who made the misrepresentation, the dealer or Cargurus; it was a misrepresentation nevertheless. And as advertising agent for the dealership, I believe, the dealership is still responsible. This is the stuff that class action lawsuits are made of.

I really wanted the Chev Cav but they wanted all money at once. I am disabled, on fixed income, it so sad they would not even work with me. I am 58, people need to understand we need a little help. I have no way around. I was gonna make down payment but they want full price. I almost cried. I really like that car. It's ok. The Lord provides. I will pray on it. Still not sure if this vehicle has a towing capability. If it does I am very interested. So far the process has been smooth and simple. My questions though not completely answered have been addressed. For example; how does the delivery system work? Will the car be delivered to my home or to the Subaru dealership in Pueblo, Colorado and if to the dealer will they have a fee for their part in the delivery?

Thank you for posting prices, but dealerships are using your website to lure customers to shop. Cargurus post the price and dealers tell you another price 3-4K more than asking on the dealer site. Once you call or visit, then it’s a back and forth conversation to validate the price or match said price minus the savings posted.

I called to see if they could do a transfer of my car to them and the car sold transferred to me. Online it says they do transfer but I wasn’t sure if they incorporated my car as the trade in. And before I put $500 to hold the car I wanted to know for sure the protocol. I called only to be met with someone who sounded way off in the distance and very bothered by me calling. As if I was really a bother to them. As I asked these questions I was met with information totally not pertaining to my initial question. And then initially told no, they can’t do this. Without speaking to a sales person or anything. You’d think they’d be a bit more professional considering they were about to make a $10,000 sale. But nope.

I attempted to sell my vehicle through CarGurus. I ended up getting a notice on my phone that they had found dealers who were willing to pay $5,800 for the vehicle. I responded to it. It came up that one of the dealers was located near me. I took the car to that dealer but the dealer ended up only giving me 4,800 for it. I said, "How come I got this letter, saying that you were one of the dealers that was willing to give me $5,800." They said, "We don't know, but we'll have to look into that." And that was pretty much the end of it. I was a little disappointed that I was misled by the amount. The people were nice enough. It was also a nice facility. But they didn't have any answers for me. From a monetary standpoint, it was disappointing. But everything else was straightforward. CarGurus gave me the information that I wanted. I just didn't end up with that information when I went to the dealer that they recommended.

I tried to sell the vehicle through CarGurus. I had it listed. But CarGurus made their policy change, dropping all private individuals being able to sell their vehicle on CarGurus effective July 26th. They closed off all previous correspondence that have been on there. I couldn't go back and reach out to it. They completely cut it all off. They sent me a thing and asked, "How was your experience with CarGurus?" I thought, "You gotta be kidding me if I'm gonna answer that." Their policy was knee-jerk and half-through. I went back three weeks ago so it could reach out to dealerships or who wanted to do it. I accepted an offer from a dealership, which worked out very well.
When CarGurus allowed individuals to sell vehicles, it was okay. They use an algorithm to determine whether a vehicle has a fair market value or has a high price. It makes no sense. I can look at my vehicle, which has this, and they would tell me it's high priced yet I could find another vehicle that was almost similar. They would say it's a fair deal and value. Yet our price was within a couple of hundred dollars of each other. If I lowered mine back down to that level, it's so-called mine high price. They got something running in the background that favors either dealerships or certain groups of people. But there was no rhyme or reason to what constituted a fair deal or a good deal or high price. So, my listing would get segregated out depending on their algorithm. When I tried contacting them about it, they wouldn't discuss it.

I'm shopping for a very specific vehicle: A Mini Cooper Countryman John Cooper Works edition, all-wheel drive. So far, I've come across two different vehicles at two different dealerships that have had incorrect information in the ad. The first dealership blamed CarGurus. I did not communicate with the 2nd because I realized the model they were advertising did not match the vehicle. It's hard to trust CarGuru's advertisements when the ads are sometimes not accurate. I was formerly willing to shop long-distance, but now I've lost my confidence in the ads being accurate, and will have to probably stick to shopping more locally so I can see the car in person before I buy it.

Updated on 10/16/2024: There was no spare tire with the car. I have replied several times and complained but no one will answer my inquiry. Both CarGurus and Wells completely ignore my request. So far, my experience is completely unsatisfactory, and I will rate you accordingly. If this continues I will never use CarGurus for anything again.
Original: Wells Auto Group delivered my Hyundai without a spare. Is it common practice to sell a car without a spare tire? Otherwise I'm happy with the car, the purchasing was easy and not too many surprise expenses. I really would like to have a spare. If I have to buy one, they are hard to find and pretty expensive, around $160.00.

Looking at the different models and doing a comparison to the one that gives me the things that I wanted in the vehicle. The color, style and the different things that was offered with that model. My experience with CarGurus was good. It was informative. I got a deal from Tustin GMC by the website that CarGurus suggested. It worked out. However, online when you look at a car and you go back, it goes all the way to the top page or through the bottom car that you were looking at. That was my only issue. But other than that, their website's good.

I was set up with an approval email and an appt. To go get a pick up. I live on an island far from where the pick-up was being sold. I had to take a ferry and drive in traffic for 5 hours all to be told that I could not get approved. It was a long expensive trip. I'm still not home. It's 3:37 am and the next boat home leaves at 4:15 am and costs near a $100.00. I think this isn't very professional and now I still don't have a vehicle. Very sad day.

I am very disappointed in one of the car dealerships I got from your site namely Adelsa Auto in Orlando Fl. We purchased a car on the 5th and I flew back to work in Oregon. 5 days after the sales person asked my son for more documents. He provided and they said bank couldn’t get employer so the declined. They made him go back and sign with another bank he verified everything and we thought all was good. Later they sneaked to my home and stole the car from my son. I am in a legal battle now and won’t trust dealers like them.

The CarGurus point of contact at VW, Nestor, was very helpful and friendly, answered all of my questions, and addressed all of my concerns. I also spoke with Oliver who was helpful in taking care of some scratches that we noticed on the vehicle. He took pictures of them and passed the information on to the staff who could assist. In Nestor’s absence on the last day, Sabrina filled in to complete the sale process and was very friendly and helpful, too.

As Soon as the Vehicles pop up on your website and then you like and call about it’s Already Sold by the time you make the call. l Think you Should really clear all Sold Vehicles and Make New Listings for Sale Real Time. It’s not fair and Also very Frustrating to search for a Vehicle then as soon as you call like in minutes you're told it’s Sold. False Advertising is Shameful.

Cargurus is very user-friendly, and I got a legitimate offer. Highland Automotive, the dealer that I found on their platform, called me and we made an appointment and had a deal. They gave me a great offer on a vehicle. It was better than anybody else offered me for that matter. I would definitely recommend Cargurus.

The dealership was clean and the owner and salesperson were very accommodating. F150 was very clean inside and out. Test drove truck, could not find anything wrong. I’m happy with pricing and they were not pushy. Very happy to buy again. You will not be dissatisfied. They also had big selection of cars
