• On or about July 9, 2024, I brought my Jeep into Gary Barbera because the engine light was on.
• After several attempts and over $3,600 later, the problem was not resolved. I was informed by a service manager that their employee misdiagnosed the problems and assigned the job to an inexperienced mechanic.

• While I understand that their shop completed a lot of work, unfortunately, after more than 30 days in their shop, the check engine light is still on and the problem remains unresolved.

First, I was informed by the mechanic that I needed a catalytic converter. Then, I was advised by the Barbera service technician to get my exhaust fixed (which I did, and the Midas mechanic explained that the exhaust should not cause the check engine light to be on). Now, Barbera suggests that a new engine is needed. Despite receiving dialysis treatments three times per week, I have strived to accommodate each of their service technicians’ requests. If the original diagnostic that Barbera completed had indicated that a new engine was needed, I could have made the decision to put a new engine in at that time, instead of spending over $3,600 on repairs on July 15, 2024, rental cars and insurance that were not helpful.

I even spoke with a sales representative to purchase a car in light of the challenges I faced in getting my vehicle properly repaired however, he was not accommodating and did not seem to consider the challenges I encountered at Barberaland. In addition to the $3,600, I have spent $150.00 on rental car insurance, $227.17 for the new exhaust system on August 9, 2024, and $174.00 for a rental car during the week of August 12, 2024 when Barbera’s mechanics requested that I bring my vehicle in for repair however, they did not complete any work on my vehicle during the time it was there (total $551.00).
