I needed to have the powertrain of my 2014 Dodge Charger repaired. I contacted American Dream by phone and through email, and their claims process was very simple. Their website was nice and their price was great. I have paid for parts and I'm thankful that I have a warranty. I would also recommend American Dream for a friend.

American Dream covers my 2019 GMC Sierra. I was informed that if it needs repair to take it to my garage, which is a GMC dealership. They will diagnose it then call American Dream. If they cover it, it's $100 out of my pocket, and they pay the rest. Their customer service was very good.

My name is Steven **. On 8/26/24, I ordered a 5 years, 4 months, 60,000 mile Platinum plan with Nick ** for my 2012 Jaguar XK. We agreed upon a price of $4,700 to be paid in 5 installments which was to include a payment at that time and 4 monthly installments thereafter. Each payment was to be $986.74. I gave Nick a VISA card to charge each payment to. He responded by telling me the charge did not go through. I gave him a 2nd VISA card which he used and he said that charge did go through.
The next day, I learned that there were TWO charges to the first VISA card and one charged to the 2nd VISA. I sent an email to Nick, requesting that my 2nd VISA card be completely removed from my account. I also requested a statement of my account showing the original $4,700 price and the three payments credited to my account. As of today, Sept. 4, Nick has not responded at all. I am requesting that this be looked into immediately. My cell # is **. Thank you.

American Dream's customer service is good. Everything is, so far, fine. I used them once. It took a long time to get the estimates on certain things, but they're good.

Sam was knowledgeable, honest, patient, and friendly. He was the primary factor in closing the deal. He provided all the information I requested in a timely and understandable fashion. Sam indicated he would be personally available during the coverage period; which made me very comfortable. However, I was never told the rates could go up.

He was the most important thing you can be - he was professional and totally knowledgeable. He was able to explain the product, the plusses and minuses. Brian explained the auto maintenance plans the company ADAP markets. He was friendly, easy to understand, and I like the fact that he was not pushy. I bought the platinum plan which covers the things I want covered. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works for me.

American Dream is horrible. I got a policy for my 2016 GMC Sierra Duramax and while we were on the interstate, it went to reduced power. I was pulling a trailer and I got the trailer to the campsite. Next morning, I took it over to Terrell and they didn't do me any favors either. But they looked at it and they came up with an estimate. Then all the trouble began. I called American Dream and they started giving me the runaround by saying I haven't had the contract long enough. They said I didn't have it for a month yet and I had to prove to them that I did have it for over a month already. Then they said I insured a car that was broken. But I told them that if that was true, I should not have been able to drive it 800 miles on the interstate, pulling a trailer. Then they said, they were not covering it because of the EGR valve. But it was a $9,500 bill and the EGR valve is $200.
So, we went around and around during four phone calls. The different people who got on the phone on the different phone calls tried to slide out of paying with different excuses, mostly by saying I wasn't insured long enough. The guy that I talked to to insure my truck at the beginning said that I had a bumper-to-bumper coverage. But they denied that, and the guy wasn't working there anymore, so I don't know if they're telling a lie or what.
The culmination of everything at the end was that they gave me $3,500 back on my contract, which was awfully wonderful of them. All in all, I wouldn't do anything for American Dream. If they were on the other side of the road on fire, I wouldn't take the time to walk across the road and pee on them. They're dishonest. Whatever was put in the internet was a lie, because those are the facts. They cheated me out of $10,000. I bought the contract in good faith and they wouldn't even give me my whole money back. They prorated it.

Very good customer service. No wait times. Got offered a better package than anywhere else that I got quoted, will definitely refer to friends and family. Smooth and simple process. My car is now in safe hands. I look forward to driving my vehicle stress free. My service read through everything and suggested to ahead with the purchase of the extended warranty. I bought a coverage for my 2012 Ford Escape. I had a very good representative who did justice and allowed me to figure out that I would like to give American Dream a shot versus somebody else. I recently filed a claim and it did not go well. They said that the issue that I went to the shop for is considered a preexisting condition and I didn't understand why. I called, spoke to someone, and they didn't really explain anything. So I gave it a couple of days and I talked to my garage. The mechanic gave me the information he submitted.
Then, I contacted a person at American Dream today and he was very nice. He explained their end of why they felt it was preexisting, but I didn't agree with that. I've tried to say my piece and try to get them to understand. And this is why I got a warranty. So, there's not much more that I can do. They're still not going to pay for it, so that's the bottom line. Right now, I'm debating whether or not I want to keep paying for the warranty. Their price is a little more than what I want to pay. Also, with the different times that I called, I didn't get return calls. So I am not too thrilled about that.

When my husband went and looked through the information, he wasn't too impressed with that so four days later, I sent an email to American Dream and told them we were not interested. But they still took the money in May. I contacted them and told them we were not interested in doing it. They said they were gonna send the whole packet to us but we never got it. Six weeks later in June, it showed up. But in the meantime, they took another payment in June. The rep told me they sent it twice and that it was not their fault that we did not receive it. It was the post office's fault. It was not a good situation because we couldn't get them to resolve anything.
In July, they took another payment. We didn't respond when they asked us to send a snapshot of the odometer and the VIN Number because we thought we were off their account, that we were no longer doing it. But they said they got that so we were still their customers. We are not happy and no longer customers of American Dream.

I'm almost 70 years old and tired of paying for car repairs that are expensive. American Dream had the best opportunity for my car that is a 2014 model and out of warranty. Signing up with them was okay.

American Dream was willing to work with my budget and what I needed covered. But I'm stuck right now with them and I'm not 100% satisfied with what they're giving us. The service engine light came on in our vehicle and we took it to the dealership. They charged us for running the diagnostic on top of the repair. Even though I only have to pay a $150 deductible, I also have to come out of pocket $220 on top of that. So it's about $400 every time I need to take my vehicle in for service. I wish I would have known this.
The rep told me the warranty would cover our vehicle to 160,000 miles. Most dealerships don't charge you a diagnostic fee if you bring your vehicle in. If you're doing the work, they calculate that into the cost of the repair and Mercedes did not. I thought for sure, if it's not, then it would be part of the bill. But they said they're not paying for that. I was disappointed when that came up because it's part of the repair. If my deductible is $150, I shouldn't have to pay that plus the diagnostic fee. That was the first time we had to use American Dream and I was disappointed.
You have to pay everything upfront in American Dream’s program so we had to lay out the full cost of everything. Where with others, it’s a monthly thing. I was thinking that if it's a one-time payment, then I don't have to worry about it anymore. Maybe it was stupid on my part but nowhere in the paperwork did it say that the diagnostic fee is not covered. It just says $150 deductible. I can't control what a dealership charges after that. People should do the research. And if they're not going with American Dream, they should ask if they pick up the diagnostic fees. Nobody thinks about that.

I spoke to someone. I had American Dream Auto Protect set up a day for them to take out my first payment. I was emailed the policy. And that was it. Whenever I had questions, I was able to get it resolved without issues. American Dream is still brand new to me so I'm waiting to see if the good customer service would stay true.

I talked with the rep, Sam, for a week and a half. Then I did my payment and started the process with American Dream. They told me I got bumper-to-bumper coverage but the first time I used them, I got screwed. I had an accident and the car dealership told me my transmission went. I sent my car to the shop at eight o'clock in the morning. By three o'clock in the afternoon, they denied my claim because I didn't get in a car wreck. They wanted me to drive my car a mile but it wouldn't even move out my parking spot. They called me a fraud and left me with a $5,000 bill to get my car out of the shop. They also did not give me back my $100 reimbursement that they were supposed to give me for my tow. I would never recommend American Dream to nobody. They are disrespectful and the biggest scammers in the world.

American Dream Auto Protect is sneaky and unreliable. I couldn't get ahold of anybody. They charged my card three times for one month payment and I had to fight with them to get a refund. I wouldn't even know how to go about getting a refund because half of their customer service people are hateful and rude. It was a huge nightmare. I cancelled my policy with them and wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

It was easy to get signed up with American Dream Auto Protect. The guy was informative. Also, I got what I was looking for, which was the full coverage. However, I tried to file a claim and it was rejected. I took my car to the BMW dealer. They said, "You got American Dream?" I said, "Yeah." And they said, "That's not good. They don't pay for anything." So I said, "Go ahead and file the claim and see." American Dream insisted on the BMW dealer to send in documentation. They hung on to it for a few days, came back and said, "No. We're not paying for any of it." Which did not surprise the person that was assigned to me at the BMW dealer. She informed me that that has been the case with other claims that she has tried to make with American Dream.
The repair involved a strut. A strut is like a shock. When I went through and read the fine print on the program with American Dream, I understand that a strut is something that's similar to a tire or a battery. And it's something that will wear out. It's not a repair item. The BMW dealer thought it should have been covered. I was disappointed.
Dealing with American Dream Auto Protect's agent was good. I thought the problem with my car was something with a computer issue like a monitor. It was electrical. There are a lot of computer modules in that car. And it showed an issue with the chassis. It was a problem with the strut. But after the BMW rep told me that these guys were difficult and knowing that it was a strut and looking at the fine print and thinking, "Okay. Well, that's gonna be a gray area. So they're probably not gonna cover it.” Sure enough, they wouldn't. The BMW rep said, "You got to go back and try to get your money back." I'm not gonna do that because I wanna have the plan. I don't know if they would give me my money back. They said they would, but I don't know they would. I got the feeling that they might be a little sketchy. I wish I had done more research.
Down the road, if I have another claim, which is legitimate and they reject that, because I believe with my policy, I can switch it to a different vehicle that I own and try to get a different policy. BMW offered me a policy which was a bit more expensive. But after my experience with American Dream, I wish I took the BMW coverage. I'm not totally dissatisfied. It just wasn't successful with the first claim.

American Dream was horrible so I ended up canceling. I brought the car in on a Wednesday and they said they gotta send somebody out. But they didn't send somebody out until the following Tuesday. My car was already in the shop for a week. Then when they got it out there, they were saying it was too expensive because it was at the dealership. It was a covered claim but they denied it.
I called back and complained, but I got terrible customer service and nobody would answer the phone. I called back and they said to bring it over to another mechanic. I brought it to another mechanic and said they'd give me $1100 towards the repair which was 2,300 bucks. That's not what the warranty is supposed to be. The warranty says I can take it into any mechanic, pay $150, and they're gonna pay for the cost of the repairs. They didn't do anything. I asked them to send me my money back and they ended up taking $900 and refunded me the balance.

American Dream covers my Subaru Legacy. It's been four months since I've signed up and so far, so good. They cover more than other companies and I've received extensive customer service. But I'm moving and I had some unexpected expenses so I couldn't pay it until the next month.

I was looking for insurance for my Lexus RX 350. First, I went with CarShield and when I talked to my mechanic, he said that CarShield wasn't very good. They made him put used parts on the cars a lot of times. He told me another outfit to look up but when I looked them up online, they didn't have very good ratings, but American Dream did. So, I cancelled CarShield and went with them. Hopefully, I won't have to use the insurance, but based on my sign-up experience, I would recommend them.

I went on ConsumerAffairs and they gave me a list of companies. I reached out to American Dream and told them my experience with another provider, finding out they wouldn't cover the parts even though I initially asked them, what I had to recently deal with coming out of pocket for an amount of $3,100, and with that type of money in a moment's notice. With the other provider, there was a condition that had to be met first which didn't sit well with me. If you cover a part, you should cover a part. There shouldn't be any conditions.
I signed up for the most expensive contract that American Dream has, excluding my tire and wheel. The rate is competitive. It's about 10 bucks lower than what I pay for my other contract. The personnel over the phone gave me a lot of details and specific things that were included in my contract. That made me feel confident in going with American Dream. They told me read through my contract and if I got any questions, to give them a call. My current dealer said he's never heard of American Dream, but he's willing to give them a try. They're accepting of the fact that I got a warranty contract even though they don't have any working relationship with this company. The next time I bring my car in the shop, if there's a part that they question that's not under regular service, they'll call American Dream to find out if it's covered.

Working through the different plans and pricing options, I truly felt he had my best interest in mind as he offered different options to save me money while still getting the most coverage for my BMW. The man I talked to on the phone was really nice and he seemed to know what he was talking about. I talked to him for a good while, and he explained to me what was going on and how many different plans there were. We settled on a plan and he said it covered everything motorized. My car ran out of warranty, and I figured, "Well, we'll give it a shot." I don't expect any problems, but I never know. I've never used American Dream, and I can't tell how good it is, but I’d tell people to go on and talk to the people.

I've had an extended warranty in the past and had good experience with it. I needed another one, and American Dream's package covered everything. Signup was painless too. The coverage is for five years for 100,000 miles, and I like the fact that I don't have to worry about my wife's car. If there's any issue, it will be taken care of.

When I looked up American Dream at the time, they were number one or number two. I went with them and signing up was good, although I had to tell the sales person to not be so pushy. Also, they didn't go forthwith with the policy information and they sent me something online. I don't recall even seeing the policy. I don't believe I received the policy in the mail or anything. The back end of it is not sufficient.

Sean was awesome today!!! He answered all of my hard questions and accurately went over the pricing. Since Sean did such a great job, I ended up signing up two cars today!! I know now to NEVER use a dealership extended warranty again and to call Sean for my extended car warranty matters in the future. I will definitely tell my family and friends what a great sales person he is and what an awesome program the company provides!!!

The gentleman I talked to at American Dream was detailed and he explained everything. He gave me more than one payment option, whether it was lump sum or sectioned off in a monthly payment. This was a three-year term we were looking at and I could have paid it every three months. They also told me that the policy would last for three years and it would go into effect the date they got the payment. So I was well-satisfied with the information I got. My total payment should be 3,000 and I had that broken up into three payments. I made the first two, but it hadn't been a whole month yet then I had a car accident and totaled that vehicle. So, I no longer needed the coverage. I thought they would prorate amount of time that I had from the time I signed up until I called in to cancel, but they refunded my full amount of money and I was happy about that.
But they didn't didn't publicize a number to call, so to get my refund, I started out with the person who sold the policy to me. Then he got me to someone in accounting and that took a little while. I was on the phone for a couple of minutes before somebody in accounting got on the line. But then, after I got to the right person, it was fine. So you tend to get shuffled around a little by their customer service. If friends and family members need an extended warranty, I would tell them about what has occurred to me and that they should go shopping, but they should give American Dream a call and at least see what they're talking about.

I went online, found five companies and called them. I created my own little spreadsheet and looked at a lot of variables including cost and coverage. We bought a Ford Ranger and we had to put a brake controller on it, which they said came with, but it didn't. Quite a few extended warranty companies won't accept us if we added something like that but American Dream did. The biggest thing was my discussion with the gentleman. He was very knowledgeable. We got the information, took it to heart, checked it out, and called him back. There was no pressure at all. We had a bunch of questions and he answered them in a way that we understood. So far, it's been good.

I bought a 10-year-old Bentley that many of the other companies would not insure because of the age and the fact that it was a Bentley. But American Dream did and I took the policy with them. It was easy enough to deal with the company and I got the best policy that covers everything on the car. Right now, everything seems to be fine and I would tell others to give them a try. They seem to take cars that are not normally able to be insured with these kinds of programs.

It was terrible with American Dream. I felt like I was lied to the whole time. I made an eligible claim, but they denied it. It was a bad transmission which had to be replaced fully. They didn't wanna cover it even though it was a month and a half and 5,000 miles after I signed up. They said that it wasn't a catastrophic event. I have a bunch of mechanic buddies who say transmissions don't just go catastrophically. They go over time and break down, and mine finally gave up. American Dream tried to give me $1,000 back when I'd already paid $1,500 towards the repair of my vehicle, but I'd have to keep the program with them so I'd still have to pay another $1,500 to keep the plan. I'd also have to pay the $7,000 on top of it. It didn't make any sense, so I canceled it. I felt like they were thieves and I told them that.

American Dream Auto Protect sounded very good when I talked to them. But their process was horrible and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure anybody I know never signs up with them. They denied my very first claim for the rear differential that went bad. They said that that had previous wear and tear on it but that was obvious because when they warrantied the car, it had 100,000 miles on it. Every part on the truck has 100,000 miles on it, so apparently, nothing will be warranted.

When dealing with Derrick ** I can honestly say it was a pleasure. He was very, very knowledgeable and patient with me understanding the different programs I could get into. He went above and beyond, helping me as a senior citizen and my husband being an ex military and with the money I had to work with again I enjoy talking to him. American Dream's rep was very helpful. The rep was very thorough and polite. Also, I like the idea that if I felt I wanted to change the policy on my Prius, I could transfer it with no issues to my other vehicle. But it was a little pricey.

My experience with American Dream was stressless. Luis was very knowledgeable about this product. What I liked about his presentation was that he asked me to research other competition while I was deciding if I was going to give American Dream a chance. Luis was also friendly. I will give this product a try. I had another policy in the past and never needed to use it.

He reviewed the options clearly and was also very patient with me and also very polite, which I appreciate.

Cannot do a negative Star. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BUY from American Dream Auto Protect. The specific repair we needed was specified in paragraph 14. Mark kept referencing Paragraph 1. They are refusing to make the $6,000 repair. We have talked to Nick and Mark repeatedly. My husband has an understanding of what the repair is. Mark became angry and indignant when my husband pointed out that the repair they were refusing was not the repair the Dealership had sent to them.
Mark accused my husband of trying to do something illegal by asking if we could have the Santa Monica GMC repair technician clarify the confusion about what the repair was. Mark was either deliberately ignorant about understanding the repair, or just plain incompetent and ignorant. Mark asked my husband a series of questions to see if he understood the repair, then Accused my husband of challenging Mark's expertise in automotive repairs when he correctly answered Mark's questions. HOLY COW.
They were supposed to send a "consultant" to look over the repairs. 5 days of promising to send a consultant, 5 extra days of car rental, which they are not covering past 6 days, and the "consultant" never showed up. We called daily and kept getting promises. The final day of calling, they said they would only agree to compensate us $500 and $210 for the 3 weeks of car rental they cost us. They are rude, arrogant, scammers. We were told there was not management above Mark. I researched and in fact, there are several levels. I have also researched and we are not the only ones they have scammed this way. Found lawsuits pending against them for this exact scenario. They are telling us that "Out of the goodness of their hearts" they will give us $500. These people are outlaws.

My warranty is up in a few months and Joshua was great in explaining everything to me. I felt good about my purchase. I even asked about my son's car but he lives in a state you do not cover at the moment. I got the Platinum coverage and it comes with a lot of perks and glad that there is no contract in case I sell the car or change my mind. Joshua did a good job of being clear about what I was getting and what the costs would be.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Please save your money! I contacted this company after purchasing a used Audi. I know the repair costs can be high so I shopped around and found this company through Consumer Affairs where they have a 4-star average. It must be bought because the company is HORRIBLE. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau.
I contacted them first on May 13th, 2024. Purchased two policies for two used Audi's (2014 and 2019). I specifically said I was worried about the "infotainment" radio because in the Audi all the center console is touch screen and it controls A/C and radio and pretty much everything. They said it would be covered so I forked over $4k for each policy. (Four even payments of $1137, and $933 for 6 years of "Platinum" coverage.) In June they mail me out a paper contract that lists "radio" as an item that is NOT covered.
I read through the entire contract and was PISSED that they lied to me. I contacted them and got forwarded to multiple people who all promised they would send me an amended contract that lists the radio as covered. At this point, I did not trust their word and asked/begged them to just cancel the policy and refund my money. I had to get LOUD and bring out my whole SSgt Voice to get them to stop blowing smoke up my you know what and just cancel the damn policies.
After going to my credit card company and listing the transactions as fraud, they have FINALLY given me back some of the money but are still holding on to $926! The contract says after 30 days they can charge a $75 processing fee and a prorated amount based on how long it was covered. So, for less than 30 days of coverage they are charging me $800?!?! I am telling you to NOT do business with these people, they are the worst kind of liars and will steal your money and then blame YOU for it! RUN!

Horrible company and extremely dishonest. Paid for full cover warranty on used Audi. 5-6 weeks after started hearing sounds from engine so took to certified mechanic. Auto shop on day one did everything American Dream asked and did not hear back for four days. Upon the fourth day, they got a call saying they were going to send out someone to take a look and that would take an additional three days. Three days after that Came out, went over everything that everything was fine. Look like it was in proper order then three days after that I get an email denying my claim. American Dream says it was a prior existing condition to my response. It’s a used vehicle. Everything is prior existing condition.
Through their amazing and factual scientific method they determine that it was impossible for the mechanical issues that I was having to happen within 30 days, which makes zero sense whatsoever. Spoke with “director” and they offered me little compensation $$ which did zero. Car has been in shop for 2 weeks waiting on American Dream and they have no actual facts to why they denied claim. Glad I did not get a rental because they determine if they will Reimburse you for that as well and that most likely would’ve been denied. Repair cost less than what I paid for the extended warranty. Do not sign up with them. Many other warranty companies with much higher standards and customer reviews to chose from.

I was debating the yearly plan but instead opted for the monthly…Once I spoke to him more I thought it may be best just to stick to the monthly plan for now with the option to move to monthly in the near term future.

So nightmare is the proper word here. If you want a business who practice verbal contracts and provide nothing in writing than they're for you. If you like companies that practice immoral and unethical practice then they're for you. My advice stay clear!! From the mouth of their "Retention director, which happens to be the highest person there and will refuse to escalate to higher person than him." According to MR J as I will refer to him this country doesn't need to provide contracts in writing and verbal contracts held up in court? This is from a company who has the name American attached to them? Sorry, in America everything has to be in writing.
My experience short and sweet. Signed up and never received a contract with specifics on terms or anything related to mileage and time covered for my specific vehicle. No vin number or vehicle info, no mileage coverage, no month terms. Not even my name on it! Only a generic contract was sent to me twice. I called to cancel and the 1st retention supervisor we will call him Mr C, promised to send me the contract and again no contract with terms or info was sent. He also lied about dates changing and being able to cancel by a specific date. (Within the 30 days of contract date) Fast forward 3 weeks and I call again to cancel due to never receiving the contract with terms and because honestly I was diagnosed with metastasized Cancer and could not afford it and was in the process of selling the vehicle.
Lo and behold I was charged a cancel fee and a prorated refund although I was within the 30 days of initial contract date. MR J said it wasn't by date but by time! Ant that since the contract had been done at 2:38pm it expired when I called at 5pm on the 30th day! Nowhere in their generic contract does it state cancellations have to be done before any said times. It only states within 30 days, which it was on the 30th day. After all out an hour back and forth I was clobbered with fees and a prorated amount of $325. $325 FOR PROVIDING ME WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! This even after mentioning my recent Cancer diagnosis which MR J non-compassionately replied that it was irrelevant to our business!
This company practices bait and switch, unethical business, and provides everything verbally nd nothing in writing except a generic contract with basically stats part covered and not covered and their cancellation terms which they don't follow themselves. I will be reviewing them everywhere, and will also be reporting them to the BBB, as well as other business sites. You have been warned! DON'T BE ROBBED LIKE I WAS. IF I COULD RATE 0 STARS I WOULD! PS: Look at the joke of a contract they sent me twice, attached pic.

American Dream has a reasonable price, so we went with them. Our experience was horrible though. We were two months into our policy, and so American Dream had taken two months of payments from us without telling me that they needed a picture of the odometer reading at the time of purchase, which was impossible to do two months after the policy was purchased. So the policy was null and void because they had not received something that they never asked for. It was buried in very small print in pages and pages of documentation that got emailed to me. We had a claim that got denied as a result, and now, we can no longer get that problem fixed by any other extended warranty because it's now identified as a pre-existing claim.
It took them days to get back to us to tell us whether the claim was denied or accepted. When we finally got a hold of them, and they said, “Your claim has been denied,” and I asked them why, they simply said, “Oh, well, we never got a picture of your odometer on the day of purchase.” I didn't know that I had to do that. Otherwise, I would have done it then and there. I told them that this was not communicated to me over the phone. And in fact, I had given the odometer reading to the person I was on the phone. It was never mentioned the need to take a picture of the odometer reading. I said, “But you record your calls, right?” “Well, not all of our phone calls are recorded.”
Fortunately, we were only three months into the policy when I had something that needed to get fixed. If it had been a year, they would have collected monthly payments from me for a year, and then I would have found that my policy was null and void. That’s bad business. Also, the guy that I spoke to was the rudest individual over the phone. I have nothing good to say about American Dream. They're a scam.

I recently bought a 2019 Mini Cooper Clubman used and I decided to research on my own for extended warranty because it didn't offer anything after 30 days. I went on to ConsumerAffair's website to find out about the various insurances out there. A representative of American Dream reached out to me and then after having a discussion with him, which was outstanding and very pleasant, I decided to go with it. He was informative and he was able to answer my questions right off the bat. I asked a little too much as far as information goes and he was very thorough in his explanation of the policy, what is to be expected, how it would work, the breakdown, and things like that. He was personable, which also helps. I appreciated the fact that they knew what they were talking about and they were willing to take the time and answer my questions. Also, they were willing to give me a discount for military. My father served 20 years in the US Navy and I appreciate that as a military family. I would recommend them to others.

American Dream covers my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. The sign-up process was easy. They offered me incentives to reduce the cost. The salesperson was knowledgeable and very persuasive and gave me lots of reasons why I should go with their company versus someone else.

The sales rep of American Dream went over everything. Even though I have a lot of experience with the extended warranties, he reviewed it all. They were extremely easy to work with. They weren't pushy. A couple of the other places, I had to hang up on them because they kept trying to push me. Also, the extended warranty expires with the mileage or the year of the extended warranty. I did not know that it also can expire with the amount of work that's been done to the car. So, if the work value is only $9000 when you buy it, that's all they're gonna warranty on that car - $9000 worth of work. I believe this extended warranty is a company that said that they do not go by that expiration. It's only mileage and the years which is what made me pick them.

I liked the guy. He was forward and very helpful. He explained everything to the T. He sold me on it. The price suits me because everything that I was cautious about that I wanna make sure my car is covered, he looked it over, and broke it down for me. I went over what American Dream Auto Protect sent. Everything sounded great. Everything was handled perfectly. They provide excellent service. I already recommended a few staff members where I work to reach out to American Dream to look into it. Because they have good pricing and they cover a lot of things that other warranties don't cover, even dealers that avoid maintenance repair on. I found American Dream satisfying.

Samuel, the sales rep, was very knowledgeable. He knew the car and was more than willing to go the extra distance to make the sale. There was no hard sell. It was because of him and the service that he gave that I ended up going with American Dream. The sign-up process was very easy. It was all done over the phone and online with confirmation. Then, I got hard copies by email of the agreement. Plus, I have the direct number to my service representative, should I need him. This extended warranty contract was to replace the one that I had for the last three years with General Motors that had expired. So I was looking to replace it with a similar program. American Dream had marketed that they were participating with the GM program and when I called and they saw the car was a Cadillac, they switched me over to what they call the Cadillac division, which was how I ended up with Samuel.
The other thing that was very big on my list was that American Dream is using original parts on the car and dealing with the dealers. I have this car serviced at the dealer who sold me the car and I'm very big on using original parts on this vehicle. American Dream has a feature where you can cancel it at any time. So if they don't meet my needs or my dealer has issues with them and that gets back to me, that would be a very big negative to me. So I would very clearly give that high consideration to how things go with them.
I haggled a little bit on the price because American Dream came in a little bit higher. After a discussion, they were able to bring it down a bit. My only complaint is that they don't have an extended payment plan available. They offered four payments, which for a $3,200 policy because I got a platinum policy, is a steep amount for a month, whereas in my other company, you pay this out over two years and was considerably cheaper. So, they gave me the extra mileage coverage. They dropped my deductible because my other company didn't have a deductible and then strung it out six payments. So it took the sting out a little bit more. They were willing to work with me.
I had a very good experience with sales and marketing. Once we agreed, everything was done very quickly and smoothly. The website just took a little bit of orientation. American Dream was very good about communication. I get an email from them every month confirming my payment has been made and I've got that from my records. They've got the credit card, so they directly bill it so that's a good thing. I don't have to go hunting around asking them for receipts.

They sent me a copy of the policy and an email with it in there. It was easy to read and everything is covered. Also, I can get it fixed just about anywhere. But I didn't wanna pay it all at once. I just paid the first installment and I wanted to see for 30 days exactly what I was getting in the policy.

Dealing with the reps was very good and there was no pressure. The information was very detailed. My policy has coverage on major components and electrical. There are very few things in my plan that are not covered. I would recommend American Dream.

There are hundreds of places in my city where they will accept American Dream and there are ones that are two miles away that take it. I liked the program and the only thing that I didn't like was the reps kept pushing me to upgrade and buy more things. If I sign up for something, it's gonna be something I've already researched and there are not things that I still need. So outside of that, it was okay.
American Dream was very accessible. I didn't have trouble getting hold of a representative and dealing with the same representative. And I liked that because she'd already taken ownership of it and she could finish it. During the sales process, when the rep said the papers would be out by this date and the papers would say this, everything was correct about that. The warranty has a broad range of things that it covers. So, I read through everything and there weren't any loopholes that excluded the major things. The price was more than I wanted to spend. But I wanted to get something to cover me right away.

Slow claim process and if your claim is for more than amount you paid they will not pay your claim. Contract is well written to get out of a claim. They are not properly set up to do business in Texas.

This company claims to save money, give peace of mind and claim to be convenient but none of the above are accurate. When submitting a claim depending on the value they send out someone to review the problem only to deny the claim and then say the problem is preexisting before commencement of the contract to avoid payment. The wait time for me personally was greater than 5 days to get a denial of a problem that was verified to be existing by 3 separate mechanics only to have this nightmare of a company send a contracted worker out who didn’t even inspect the car throughly or drive the car to determine the existing problem only to outright deny the claim.
Shame on me I didn’t do my research earlier because this company is only not accredited with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and they graded an F. Please if you're considering purchasing an extended warranty from this company run run run especially if you own a high end car such as mine BMW X5. The only consolation I have is that I only purchased the plan 3 months ago and they exposed there shenanigans early so that I was able to cancel the plan but no money returned to me. I will also be reporting them to the better business bureau and posting on my social media site to warn others about them.

I had the most horrendous experience with American Dream Auto Protect. Their customer service is beyond appalling, to the point where I was cursed at and accused of scamming when I filed a claim. Instead of assisting me, they tried to bully me into canceling my contract so they wouldn't have to uphold their end of the deal if the bill was too high. Stay away from this company unless you enjoy being mistreated and scammed.

This extended warranty is the absolute worst! They have the worst customer service! They try every loophole to not pay for claim. They deny the claim and give no explanation whatsoever to you or the dealer. Just a generic email. You then call in and get a rude customer service person on the. First claim and it was denied! The dealership said it was the most ridiculous thing they ever heard of. These guys are expensive, too! Compare others when shopping. DO NOT GO WITH AMERICAN DREAM. BUYER BEWARE!!!

The differential, which is part of the transmission, is messed up. The first thing was when we called in to claim, American Dream Auto Protect said, "We don't take claims over the phone. You have to send it," which I've never heard before. So, we emailed them the claim, they told me it would take 24 to 48 hours to process it. When I called on Friday, it was, "We're gonna have to send an inspector out to look at the car," which I didn't understand. You don't trust the dealership? Thirty minutes later, I got a text on my phone saying that they would not do the claim because I had not sent in a picture of my odometer and VIN. It was toward the end of the day, so I couldn't get in touch with nobody. I had to wait until yesterday.
I called in yesterday. The lady named Sarah, who was very helpful, said, "I'm gonna send you an email. Just respond to the email with the pictures of your VIN and the odometer reading." I did that. I don't wanna keep bugging them, but I have not heard anything back from them about the car. It has been another 24 hours, they still haven't said, "Yes, they're gonna fix it." I don't know why they would not because it's in my policy that they fix the differential. It has been almost six days and I haven't had any response. It's annoying. I had to rent a car and that was not part of my policy, which I did not know
Like I told the girl on the phone that, when they gave the information about what's covered and what's not, they go through it so fast and I don't pay attention to what they're saying. I'm stuck paying for a rental because I don't know when or if they would do anything. I know that the catalytic converter is not part of the package. So, I know they're not gonna fix that. But at least fix my differential and whatever else they can on there so I could get my car back. I'm afraid they will say they will not fix it.

One of the turbos of my 2018 Cadillac CT6 popped up as if it needed to be repaired. I took my car to the dealership and along the lines of them diagnosing the vehicle, the other turbo went out right there in front of them. They called American Dream and gave a heads-up of what was going on with it and American Dream said it was a pre-existing issue, so they denied my claim. But the mechanic said it's impossible for it to be a pre-existing issue because it just went out in front of them. So I got to pay for the repair out of my pocket, which I'm used to. Warranty companies are in the business of taking money, not giving, so I kind of expected that. I would never recommend American Dream to a friend.

Every time I call customer service, they treat me very well. I'm pleased with them so far. When I did a claim on my engine, I took the vehicle to the shop and a mechanic at High Tech Auto. He took it right from there and everything went fairly. They said within 48 hours, they were coming down to have a tech come in and check it out. That went well as well. I'm waiting to see if my car gets fixed properly and see how everything turns out.

The coverage was excellent but it was not feasible for me to do American Dream now so I canceled. Upon canceling, the rep was a little pushy. I needed someone to understand my needs and I cannot pay out more money than what I have coming in. Having to explain myself over and over again was a bit much.

The guy at American Dream and I spoke on the phone and he was an amiable guy. They said that to get the better pricing, I had to pay it upfront. It would come out super cheap monthly if you divide it up. I paid a down payment but told him that I had to make sure it was okay with my mom. I never heard back from him. I tried calling three times and had my daughter handle this.
My daughter called but didn't get ahold of that guy. It was some other guy that was talking. She was telling him she didn't want the service and had a hard time getting the guy to understand that. She told them she wanted the money back and that took several more phone calls. She called them every day. It was $148 that I had put down, and it was almost like pulling teeth trying to get that back. But anybody that we talked to was very nice. I understand that it's their job to try to keep the sale. The pricing is good, but it's not good if you have to pay it upfront. They should have that if you want to make monthly payments and that you can't afford to put it in a bulk payment.

I bought my warranty from Derek ** and everything seemed well he acted like he was bending over backwards to make the deal and was very professional. He even gave me his direct line in case anything happened. Well it did. My Cadillac had a lifter failure, and when I tried to contact him all I got was voice mail, and no call back. I called his direct line everyday for over a month and left a message to call back. He never did.
Luckily I called the regular line and Sara was able to take care of me and let me know what is going on in the process but it has been over a month that my truck has been in the shop, incurring storage fees and having to pay for a rental car. Yes they will reimburse for rental cars but only something like $250. And I’ve already spent over $1000 and I’m still waiting on them to pay for my repairs. I bought the platinum plan because I thought I wouldn’t have to jump through hoops or call every day to keep the ball rolling. Guess we will see if they even pay for anything or try to get out of paying altogether.

My air conditioning is not working but I have a warranty under the place where I bought it. So I'm gonna see which way is cheaper. I hope the insurance plan works. American Dream is good and decent but people should hold on for a better price.

Purchased an extended warranty for my 2019 traverse on 1/29/24 for $3,146. My car broke down on 3/25/24 had it towed to a repair shop who diagnosed cars torque converter went out. Repair shop started a claim and American Dream requested the transmission be tore apart $2200 that I had to pay for so they could send out a technician to see point of failure. After 3 weeks technician showed up and wanted to test drive vehicle. There has been no contact with warranty company since 4/25/24 when I was told the head of department resigned and there is no one to approve my claim. I spoke with Garrison who was very rude, cussed at me and even hung up. I have called every day several times a day with no answer.

Let me start this off by saying my car was in the shop from 03/19 to 4/16. I paid for the top plan that offers a rental car, yet I was denied. Things that is stated in my contract that’s covers wasn’t so. The contract isn’t specific so you would think you're covered just to find out it’s not covered. They found every loop not to pay for the repairs. I had a $15,000 dollar bill and they only paid $1,400 of that. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this plan to anyone. Oh, one of their agents that I spoke to actually told me Ranger Rover charges too much and I should actually take my car and get a second opinion. So unprofessional!

American Dream is a new policy for me. The customer service was great. They were really easy to get information from and work with. The coverage and the cost were competitive. The one outlying difference for the American Dream policy is they don't have a cap on their claim. So the other policy I was looking at, after you hit $10,000, you're done. Even though your policy might not have aged out, but you can cap out at a max of $10,000 for the entire policy. So, it depends on what kind of car you drive.

American Dream Auto Protect's customer service has been wonderful. They were clear on what they said. However, I felt a little pressured into making the purchase. They didn't give me the chance to call them back and think about the deal. The full cost for the coverage is 6,000 for five years. I'm paying 3,000 for three years. It's beneficial for my car. I'm in the process of making payments with them. So, I haven't had the chance to use their service. But hopefully, within the next three months, I'll be able to use it.

When I signed up for a policy for my Ford Fusion, American Dream's rep was warm and welcoming. He sounded honest, which was the reason why I switched from one company to them. And so far, what he said is happening as far as my contract goes. If I were to file a claim or need to, I have the gentleman's name to call for that. When I had any question, I called and it was answered right away. Their website was also pretty easy to use. I recommend them.

I like American Dream so far. The customer service has been great. I filled out a quote online and the representative, Adam, contacted me and gave me more information. I decided to go with the month-to-month contract instead of the year. The only thing Adam didn't tell me is that the shop sends in the diagnosis report then American Dream decides what to cover and what not to cover. I spoke to another representative and he explained it to me. I had a diagnosis appointment set up, but I am scared to go through the diagnosis appointment then have them tell me that the warranty won't cover anything.
When I called the shop, they told me I would have to pay for whatever diagnosis fees they charge plus a 200 fee to check my AC system, which is a lot of money, and I'm not sure how much they charge for the whole diagnostic fee. Adam said the plan would cover everything but the guy at the auto body shop where I was supposed to take the car said that if the warranty decides not to cover it, I have to come out of pocket for it. I don't wanna go in blind that's why I haven't taken the car to the diagnosis appointment at all though I need to because my AC is blowing hot air and it's making a weird sound every time I drive. I received the card in the mail and a booklet, but the booklet doesn't have much information. American Dream should have more information on the website.

A dream to sign up. A nightmare to file a claim or receive a refund. Finally ended the nightmare but the refund took 7 weeks to arrive after initial request and calling three times and emailing dozens more. Does not matter which plan you pick; I chose the highest. They pick what is covered and come up with bold faced lies as to what is pre-existing. Deductible price is a lie as well. They claimed it was $100, but it was $200. They clearly have a bottom dollar and don’t give two farts about covering anything and they simply lie. Seems to be a common theme with the lower reviews. No clue how they get five stars and high ratings from websites that rank warranties. I took my vehicle to a Toyota dealership and a Big O Tires chain and they both said it was the worst warranty they’ve dealt with. So excited it’s finally done. STAY AWAY!

I purchased a warranty from this company and my car needed service. The auto repair shop called the warranty company for their approval before starting the work. This company denied the repair and lied to them about the coverage. I had the platium package and it did covered my repair. This company tried to lie about what was covered even though the contract stated the coverage. This is not a honest company. They will lie upfront to get your business and when something go wrong with your vehicle then they don't want to pay to have it repaired. I really don't think they are a legit company. BUYERS BEWARE.

When I needed the coverage and asked for some help to process my claim, it was a sketchy process. American Dream made a partial approval then they took that back and gave me a full-on denial. They have a list of hundreds of parts that they swear will be covered. When I had an issue while I was driving around home in Vegas, I took the vehicle to the dealership. They took a diagnostic and contacted American Dream. I contacted American Dream too. It took a week for them to contact back. They ended up saying it was a consequential issue. It's an after-effect of an initial issue that I caused. I argued back but there was no room letting me speak on my behalf. I canceled my contract and they've been calling for the past five days about my monthly payments than they have about my policy. It was terrible. I only purchased the policy 'cause they reached out 10 times. Clearly, it didn't work. It's beyond disappointing.

Claim was submitted on a Monday. Car was towed to dealer on Thursday. Was told inspector was called on Friday. Then was told inspector was called on Monday or Tuesday. Thursday they needed to call another inspector. We are a family of 5 2 in car seats. 35.00 is for a little car. So claim is over a well a week old and still waiting. Don’t use this company unless you check out their claims department.

They also did everything I've needed them to do. They've even changed the date that they take my payment out to be more convenient for me. When I spoke with Samuel at American Dream Auto Protect, I liked his manner. He was very upfront and I enjoyed dealing with him. I had questions, but Samuel was very deliberate in his explanation. I wasn't caught up in a whirlwind, and he made it understandable. He went through every single aspect of what I should expect from the coverage. He is a salesman, and he suggested this, that, and the other, but he was also very comfortable saying, “Here's my number. Call me back,” which I ended up doing. I had to leave a message, and he called me back within a couple of hours. I felt comfortable that if I were to need this service, I would get the service I expect.
Samuel went through the different lengths of service, and we ended up going with the five-year coverage. He pointed out that our cars are not super new, but they're very low in mileage so it made sense to go with the longer term. With the policy, there's roadside assistance and a trip interruption if anything will happen when you're away from home. It was strange that the rep was asking me if I could pay $3500 all at once to which I told him no. It went downhill for a little while but they came up with a no interest payment plan. However, I'm not very happy with American Dream Auto Protect right now. I've made two payments on our four-payment plan but I still don't have a copy of my contract. I've contacted them three times and told them each time to send me a copy of the contract. They've never done it. They said it's available on the internet. I told them that's not the contract. I hope I get my contract in the mail this time.

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 truck. I looked for coverage online, then I talked to somebody on the phone from American Dream and signed up. It was very simple and quick, and the reps were great. However, I don't like that it's hard to get ahold of somebody and nobody returns my phone calls or emails. The contract is difficult to understand. They don't tell you exactly what's covered and what's not.

I purchased Platinum Warranty plan for my 2016 Volkswagen EOS. Hopefully I won't require it but wanted to be safe. Updated on 03/11/2024: This company is steady being a thorn in my side. I cancelled my services on 2/20/24 with Mr. **, then he transferred to me to nick who then said, "I will notate the account and you will not be billed any further." They still took out of my account and sam ** told me today 3/11/24 that they could not give my money back because they do month to month payments. This company is surely a damn fraud and needs to be shut down immediately. The all man company is just not right and they are scam artists...For real!!!
Original Review: First of all the service at first was awesome when they want you sign with their company. Secondly I put in a claim after 3 months on their plan because we had bad weather and the next couple of days my Truck starting ticking once I started it. Took the vehicle to the shop and they estimated it to be Internal. Did a claim with American and they gave me the run around and I am still getting the Boot with them now. The dealership gave them a call and they asked them did I drive it, get it towed or what ALSO TOLD THE DEALERSHIP THAT IT SEEMS TO BE A ISSUE THAT WAS ALREADY IN PLAY. I drove the car there mind you but this is when the shenanigans began. One representative (Mr. **) laughed at me and told me that my claim was in a Higher Tier and it needed to be reviewed it will take over 1 week.
I called back the next week and talked to Mr. ** and he said where is the vehicle now I stated in my yard. He said oh you can take it back to the dealership and we will have an inspector come out and check the vehicle there. I got the truck towed and NO INSPECTOR CAME AND MY TRUCK WAS THERE FOR OVER 5 DAYS. The dealership called them to see what was wrong and Mr. ** said that they would need to break it down to find the POINT OF FAILURE. Now mind you I already paid for a Diagnostic test. So now I would have to pay $2991.03 to get the engine broken down and then that wasn't a GUARANTEE that I would get that money back to see what the POINT OF FAILURE is.
American Dream conned me into getting this extended warranty when all along if anything happened to my car they would not agree to fix it because my claim was in a HIGHER TIER than anyone elses. Please read between the fine lines because there is no WOMAN for one that answers the phones ONLY Men and they seriously was very RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND SIMPLY TOOK ME AS A JOKE. Poor customer service, no value for their customers. Only want your money but nothing in return. Thank you American Dream for this life lesson!!

Tom ** was the person I talked with about this warranty, I went with the Platinum policy, as it has the coverage, I was looking for, and the price was what I wanted. It's always nice to find a company that fits your needs, I checked with at least 4 other extended warranty companies, but settled on American Dream. Would highly recommend American Dream Auto Protection.

I talked to a gentleman at first. He came up with a high number which I couldn't afford because I'm on a fixed income. Within a couple of hours later, another gentleman by the name of Jacob called me and was able to get it down to where I could afford it. I went with him because I only had to pay this high amount for five months, and I would be done with paying them at that point. I hope not to use American Dream Auto Protect, but it's good to know. It's like auto insurance. I got it just because I have to have it just in case. And by me being retired, I don't make a lot of money coming back in and I can't work. So, I said, "Let me do something to be safe than sorry."
When I talked to Jacob, he gave me everything that I needed to know. He reassured me that everything will be covered under my car. It is a high-end car and that all will be under coverage. He was able to work with me as far as the payment was concerned, which I appreciated a lot. He sent me an email telling me everything that was listed. And I got something in the mail within a couple of days later stating everything that he said.
The only thing I had a problem was with American Dream specify that I gotta have an ASE mechanic. Other than that, I like the deductible, which is $100. I thought that was really great. I thought the billing was really great. I thought the rental car was really great. From what I've seen-- I mean, like I said before, I haven't used it at all because I don't have no reason to, but I did see those things on there that I did like, because another company, they wanted a higher deductible and you guys didn't.

My experience with American Dream has been pleasant. I made a payment and they tried to take another payment out, but their department caught it and aborted the next payment. They're working to get it removed. I'd get it placed back into my account. It shows that they're customer-oriented and recognize that they had an error and they're addressing it and began work on it. That shows a lot for the organization.

I had CarShield on my previous car, but a deer decided to hit it and the insurance totaled it. Once I found another car, I was offered a bit more coverage than CarShield at about the same price. Initially, I had signed up with them again, but it hadn't come into effect yet, so I canceled and went with American Dream Auto on the next car that I got. Last month, I paid the 174 deposit, then starting this month, I will pay the monthly fee.
I'm hoping that the process is easy if I ever have to make a claim, and with the car being a 2015 model, eventually, I'll have to make one. The amount of coverage seems good, and they said that road hazard is covered. However, I hit a pothole from the snow and I had to have a tire repaired, but I'm not even gonna make a claim on it. Still, I can be covered if I ever need it again.

The American Dream rep sounded professional and he mostly went through everything the plan covered. Usually, when you get people trying to sell you something, they're pushy, but he didn't come across like that. I have roadside conditions. If the coverage does what they said, it is good. I am satisfied with the package. I'm happy with American Dream.

Their prices were competitive and fair. The salesman wasn't pushy. The coverage was in tiered systems. That’s for anything that’s not general wear and tear, like tires, most hoses and belts, etcetera that you deal with on mileage maintenance, like a tune-up. Also, nothing that was body damage that your insurance company should be covering. So far, I haven't had to use it yet but I feel pretty good about it.

I had a good experience when I signed up with them. But I had to call them back and ask if certain things were covered. The contract is kind of generalized so it’s not specific to exactly what's covered. Every time I asked if a certain thing is covered, they would say yes. But you don't see that in the contract.

I like that American Dream didn't require a down payment. Although they have a choice of you paying it upfront, you give a down, but they gave me the flexibility of just paying it monthly. I went through a few of their reps because I wasn't too convinced with the company and what they were saying. Finally, I spoke to someone who seemed knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with the whole process.
I got the premium plan and it covers everything. It has a $100 deductible. It does not cover regular wear and tear, which are the tires and the windshield wipers. But it's for mechanical breakdown, anything electrical. They also cover roadside assistance. I also told them that the amount was too high and they worked with me and gave me something that was manageable.

Signing up with American Dream was a nice experience. I was going with Endurance. But then I got another call. That was American Dream and they just offered me a better option and coverage. Also, if I break down, I can stay in a motel and I really like that. They're also a little bit cheaper.

Derrick was very helpful and informative when we spoke about a warranty for my Prius. My Toyota warranty is expiring and I needed to get coverage that was not too costly because I am retired and on a fixed income. I felt respected and cared about.
