    I have an older vehicle and I wanted to have some coverage for a while in case something weird happens. I looked at six different car insurance online and I reached out to four of them. I liked American Dream the best because of their pricing and the coverage. Also, they were willing to delay when it starts because I still have time left on my current warranty. I signed up to catch the rate and then they placed it on hold. The reps seem to be knowledgeable and they are not pushy. They were amiable.

    I have a 2008 Porsche 911 that I got insured through American Dream for the warranty. I found them online, and a colleague has experience with them with his older vehicle. So, I purchased a six-year extended warranty because it’s an older vehicle. American Dream was one of the few companies that would actually offer an extended warranty for these cars. My other friends warned me against going with American Dream because they said that it’s an older car and that they’re gonna fight me on things. But I have yet to submit a claim. So, I hope it’s gonna work out. 

    The signup experience was straightforward. There was a little bit of pressure, like, “Here’s this deal, but you have to sign up.” But the people were accessible for me to talk to and ask some questions. And they were friendly and professional.

    This is the worst experience I could’ve imagined. Before purchasing the policy I asked very specifically, "Was it à la carte or was everything covered?" I was told everything on my engine and transmission was covered specifically. I was told the car was covered. The first issue that I have with the check engine light has turned into a nightmare. The car has been in the shop for almost a month. They kept telling me that my mileage was over the allowed amount. Today finally they looked at the paperwork that I was sent in several times as well as my mechanic and realized that they were wrong. They submitted again for approval only to send me an email telling me that the claim is denied because the part is not covered. Exactly what I asked from day one has turned out to be a lie by American Dream.

    I pay every single month on time auto pay. Last month they had a problem with their system and sent me an email telling me that my policy was in jeopardy for nonpayment. When I called to ask why that happened they said there was a glitch in their system. Stay away from American Dream. They lied to me and I will have to repair the car without any warranty. The reason I know that I asked if everything was covered and if there was anything excluded was because I had that issue with another company and that is why I went to American Dream. They told me that was not the case. Everything was covered. But it was just a lot to get a new client/customer. It took a month to get this denial.

    The first denial was because they said my car had over 80,000 miles more than it actually did even though pictures were submitted to them and an invoice from the mechanic with the stated mileage. I was told they had a Carfax on my car and I said I don’t care because my mileage is true actual mileage and is on my title. It took weeks for them to finally look at the paperwork and agree that they were wrong on the mileage only to deny me for another reason.

    I had a terrible experience with this company. I paid for their highest level of service, Platinum. After the initial 30-day waiting period, I tried to initiate a claim. I was out of town and the gravel guard underneath my car was damaged and needed to be replaced - a $400 repair, at most. waited over a week to get approval for this simple claim. They were extremely difficult to reach, the mechanic was extremely frustrated at the amount of time they spent trying to get authorization. After 5 days and no success, I paid for the repairs myself in order to get home. I called to cancel my policy (only 45 days old) - the agent was incredibly rude and extremely high pressure - all he wanted to do was keep my credit card on file.

    I insisted on cancellation of my policy and a refund. It has been over two weeks and I haven't received back my "pro rated" policy premium, no confirmation that my policy was cancelled, an no one willing to help with an update on the status of my refund. I WOULD NOT trust this company. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. They are also charging me over $350 as a penalty for cancelling, even though they have never paid one claim on my policy.

    Horrible company to work with. Took 2 1/2 weeks for them to not approve but deny a cam valve adjuster for my Jetta. The dealership was surprised that they did not cover this part. And then on top of that, they sent an approval for somebody else’s Vehicle, a fan part on their vehicle to me. Do not fall for hype and their word salad. They are horrible to work with, the one and only time I needed them. They did not cover the part and I called another company Car Shield and they cover the part.

    Yesterday I got a high pressure sales pitch from the American Dream representative explaining how much I would save on the policy compared to my present warranty. I ended up purchasing a policy for $3500. After that exhausting experience I started reviewing the Better Business Bureau site. American Dream is not BBB accredited and has a "D" rating. Evidently they deny payment on claims the vast majority of times based on complaints. I will be canceling my policy today after I call my bank to not accept the pending $3500 charge. They only cover your vehicle up to their own pre-determined value of your vehicle, even if it doesn't match or coincide with the blue book or Carfax value and they won't allow you to cancel unless you first pay the full value of the contract.     My husband, sons and I all made the decision to purchase a program of coverage through American Dream and were so disappointed. We asked for a total payment amount for 6 months of coverage, paid in full up front. We were considering selling our vehicle or trading it in on another vehicle within that time frame and just wanted to pay it up in full for 6 months because we had the money to do so after a refi with equity cash out. We explained this to the sales rep and how we just wanted to not be bothered with payments for the next six months while we worked on our credit to prepare for purchasing our next vehicle. We were given an option to make payments on a extended, total of 40 months that could be paid in 6 month installments. The total was divided in 6 months of payments paid every 6 months for 36 months and then the last 4 months would be added value.

    We understood that we would pay close to $500 in our 1st payment and would need to pay again 6 months later. The issue is that 1 month later my account was charged another, nearly $500 payment. Immediately, I contacted the company to determine that the plan intends to charge. Installments every month for 6 months and then I would be covered for 40 months. But, this is not what we were told at all. So, we told them there is no way we can make that payment evety month and would never have agreed to such a plan. The idea was to pay up 6 months not pay for 6 months. So, of course, we asked what could be done?

    The offer came back to do a month to month payment plan, which costs double the amount we were planning on paying for this coverage. Then, once we agreed we asked when would we need to make another payment since we'd already paid nearly 4 payments as our 1st installment (that was to cover 6 months). We were then told they would apply a free month for the trouble. Which would end up giving us a total of 5 months before we had to pay again. We felt this would work and agreed.

    I spent a long time on hold only to have the associate tell me that the system wouldn't allow him to make changes until the account was brought current, since I was now past due. So, he tried giving us 2 free months of credit. But, he could not get the money we had paid to go toward any of the future payments we owe. He told me there was nothing more he could do. So, I asked for a supervisor. He said they would call me back.

    I did get 3 calls and none of them lasted long enough to even get past who was calling. It's been days now. I still have no clue how they intend to fix this but needless to say it has caused a lot if disappointment in the company. It really doesn't matter what they do, I'm frustrated by the amount of time and money I wasted and now just irritated that I don't know how to get this fixed and hate that I have to go on another search for a warranty company to trust.

    Updated on 11/14/2025: Update- cannot stress this enough, DO NOT purchase a policy from this company! Received email from American Dream confirming my policy cancellation on 9/24/25, I was informed it should take 3-5 days to see a credit on my card by the retention department manager. I called American Dream on 10/3/25 since it had been 7 business days and the refund was not processed. I was told that they were unable to refund back to my card (I immediately messaged my bank and they informed me that no transactions were attempted). I was then told that a check was being mailed and it would take 18-30 business days to arrive.

    I called on 11/3/25, 28 business days after canceling my policy, and I was told that I should receive a check NLT 11/7/25 and that I should call back if I have not received anything. Called on 11/14/25, 39 business days after canceling my policy, was told to expect check NLT 11/19/25, but no tracking information could be provided. I again was told to call back if I have not received anything by 11/19. I have no doubt I will have to call again, American Dream has zero follow through.

    Original Review: DO NOT purchase a policy from this company. Ads and review sites are misleading. They sold me on a comprehensive/transparent plan with access to certified mechanics and nothing could be further from the truth.
    - Their customer service is awful and not transparent. They did a terrible job communicating with me and the service center on multiple occasions. They provided little to no explanation of why items were covered or not, usually stating “review your policy”. I sent several emails that no one ever responded to and sat on hold frequently when I called.

    - The list of exclusions is longer than the list of inclusions. What is actually covered, is very limited and a far cry from “comprehensive”.

    The American Dream Auto Protect representative I talked to gave me an offer, and I didn't like it. They wanted my credit card number right away, too, and I was shopping. At the time, I had another auto protection plan. They were telling me that they could match or beat the plan that I had at the time when we were talking. I didn't talk to them anymore. About a week later, another representative called me directly saying he was a supervisor at American Auto Protect. They offered me the Platinum Plan because that was what I have with the other company that would cover my engine and transmission. They pulled my car up. They could see I had a Bose stereo system. I have a sunroof. I have all power windows, doors, and locks. They said all of that stuff is gonna be covered.

    I was paying a $250 deductible. They said, "We'd beat them out. You can get a $100 deductible." I was paying $124 a month for the plan that I had, and they said, "No, we can beat them out. We'll give you the plan for $99 until you cancel the Platinum Plan." They said they were going to send me my paperwork. When I got my plan, it says I'm Silver. I immediately started calling back, saying, "Why am I Silver when I was told I was going to get Platinum?" "Well, this is Sonia, and I'm the manager." I said, "I want to speak to a supervisor." She said she was the supervisor. She gave me a email address to email and tell whoever in the corporate office what my problem was. I did the same thing, too.

    I was also told that I could cancel it and get my full refund if I wasn't satisfied. They're playing games with me with this bait-and-switch. Initially, I was told that the calls with them were being recorded, but when I wanted them to pull a phone conversation, they said, "Well, we can't. Every conversation ain't recorded." I'm under the impression it was under recording. They pulled me in, had me cancel my other plan with the other company, take on their company, and then I didn't get any paperwork until last weekend. I've been calling this phone number ever since then, trying to get in contact with somebody, and I keep getting shuffled around. I wasn't getting shuffled around when they wanted my credit card. So, I'm very displeased.

Now, all of a sudden, I can't get in contact with anybody.

    I talked with several people at American Dream before I purchased my policy with them. I decided to go with them because of a bad experience I had had with endurance in the past. American dream managers guaranteed that they covered everything except maintenance items on the Platinum program. I did feel they were doing a pressure sale on me and that's the reason I called back and talked with them several different times before I purchased. They were pleasant enough but still felt they pressure me to buy their policy. Then there was a hard sale to give me to pay it all up front so I would not have monthly payments which I would never do with the extended warranty company like this.     I am a retired, disabled teacher. My 2011 BMW 4 door 328 I was in meticulous condition. I paid over 4500.00 for an Integrity warranty & the car only needed servicing one time at the dealership. I paid 1900.00 out of pocket for maintenance & minor repairs. I signed up w American Dream for protection since now my mileage was 149,000. 2 months after this platinum coverage an ABS module traction problem popped up on the dashboard. I had the car towed 60 miles to a reliable, certified repair station & American Dream said d it was "pre existing" quoting letter k on a contract wherein the print was so small you had to use a magnifying glass to read it.

    I couldn't believe it- I think they used the age of my car against me. Now I'm out their premiums, towing fee and diagnostic Fee & have to have my car towed back home. To repair it would have only Bern approx.1100.00 after the diagnostic. I was so screwed. I exist on 1 monthly disability check so I thought I was protecting myself. I should have renewed with Integrity when that contract expired after 4 years with no claims! I have no vehicle for my medical appts, food & shopping needs.

    This company is a scam. They will tell you whatever you want to hear when calling about questions on how their extended warranty policy works, but when it comes time to file a claim, they will deny it. I purchased and paid for the platinum plan for my new to me truck. One random morning my truck wouldn't start. After replacing the battery and the fuse panel (thinking that was the problem) and it still not starting, our local dealership told us the issue was the starter.

    We had the dealership send the claim in and we were told that the claim was denied because the starter being bad was a pre-existing issue. I had never had a bit of trouble with the truck for months, until one morning....no warnings that something might be wrong, no signs of a problem. The issue was immediate. I will now be out thousands of dollars to fix a starter and electrical issue in my truck and American Dream is refusing to refund me for the policy that I paid for. Do NOT use this company!!!!

    Updated on 09/02/2025: Nothing improved. A rep called just apologizing and not knowing what kind of tactics are used. They reiterated that the refund had not been sent yet but did not know I had been told that the refund was deposited by a colleague. So again, for several weeks either the check has not been sent out or it has and I have been lied to. Without any proof of anything, we can only conclude that ADAP has not done anything.

    Original Review: Recently, I requested to cancel my policy with ADAP, which they were able to process, telling me that my refund would be returned to me via the credit card I used to pay for the policy initially, minus some admin fees, which I understood. The outstanding amount returned to me would be approximately $3700. After about a week of not getting that refund via a credit to my card, I reached out only to be told that the refund process had only just begun and my refund had not yet begun yet. 3 weeks later, I was told that my refund was processed and I should expect a check in the mail 30 business days from that particular date (not the original date I had initially called).

    I continued to call to make sure that the refund was still being processed, wanting to know when they were going to send it out, with calls assuring me that it would be returned 30 days from that second processing date. A week ago, I called and they had told me that for whatever reason, the batch of checks that included my refund, had NOT been sent out, but they were about to be, so I should still get it from the 30 business days from processing. Again, I waited a week, then called to see the status. This time, they had told me that my check had actually been deposited nearly a month ago, which meant that all this time they told me that the check had not been sent out, it had been, or this is information that they never disclosed to me, or this is misleading information. They said they have requested their billing department to look into it, and will get back to me. I asked them if the 30 day return, which is coming up, is in jeopardy, and they didn't have an answer.

    Right now, this feels like a delay tactic that I have heard from other customers of ADAP have regarding claims payment, refunds, and any scenarios where money needs to be dispersed to a paying customer. There has been no reliable closure on my particular outcome, nobody I can speak to above the representatives you receive from their customer support number, and the information provided, which I do think they actually record per session, is inaccurate, false and misleading. Also, the RM@AmericanDreamAutoProtect.com email is NEVER responded to. I would stay away from this company because they will just try and wear you down with their diversion tactics regarding payments/refunds. For the speed it takes for them to take your money, the return of said money is infinitely slower, and there's no real avenue provided to gain real honest answers.

    If I could give zero stars, I would, and I DO NOT BELIEVE that the positive reviews on this site are real. My elderly father enrolled with American Dream Auto Protect, and in my opinion, the entire experience was exploitative and misleading. Their so-called “Vehicle Service Program” is FULL OF TRAPS IN THE FINE PRINT.

    What Happened: Overcharges: He was promised payments of $129/month, but was actually charged $142/month due to undisclosed “fees.” Junk Fees: They demanded a $149.99 “deposit” fee upfront. Cancellation Penalty: When he tried to cancel, a representative added a $250 cancellation charge, bringing one month’s payment to an outrageous $325. Total Loss: Between January and August 2025, they collected $1,569.99.

    The Contract Itself: Caps liability at the car’s “trade-in value” or what was originally paid for the vehicle, which means major repairs will likely never be fully covered. EXCLUDES nearly everything that commonly fails in vehicles (airbags, CVTs, diagnostics, seals, gaskets, fluids, emissions systems, etc.). Denies consequential damages like towing, rental costs, or loss of use, leaving consumers to foot the bill. In plain language, the contract makes big promises up front but carves out so many exceptions that it provides almost NO REAL PROTECTION.

    Bottom Line: In my opinion, this company preys on vulnerable consumers with high-pressure sales and a contract designed to benefit them, not the customer. What they market as “coverage” is riddled with exclusions, limits, and fees that make it virtually worthless in practice. ⚠️ I strongly advise avoiding this company. I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, my Attorney General, and New Jersey Attorney General (where they are located), and I encourage others who feel misled or overcharged to do the same.

    Updated on 08/28/2025: After that review, I was contacted by a representative named Michelle. She kept saying she wanted to help me and asked about my experience. I informed her I wanted to cancel my policy, but I was told there would be a $250 cancellation fee, plus another $75 fee — none of which is mentioned in my contract. In fact, page 6 is missing from my contract altogether, which I find very suspicious.

    To add to that, if you miss a payment, they’ll send you a text saying your warranty will be canceled. But if you want to cancel on your own — because the company is taking your money and not honoring your coverage — they’ll penalize you with fees. Michelle continued to say she wanted to help me, and said she’d call back with options. When she did, she told me the only way she could help was if I removed my negative review and gave them five stars — then they would waive the cancellation fees. I asked about my vehicle’s issue again — which involves the transmission wiring (clearly related to the transmission). She said there was nothing she could do. So basically, they tried to bribe me to leave a fake review, while refusing to help with the actual problem I’m paying for every month.

    Why would I lie to others and leave a five-star review, just so this company can keep scamming people? That’s how they got me — I trusted the reviews, not knowing some of them were likely posted in exchange for “help” like this. Let me be clear: This company is dishonest. They’ll tell you everything is covered when you sign up, but when something serious happens, they’ll deny your claim, refuse to help, and try to shake you down with fees if you want to cancel.

    I also spoke with a manager in the Inspection Department who was rude, unhelpful, and made no effort to resolve the situation. She clearly didn’t care. If you’re considering this company, do not sign up. You’re better off checking with your dealership or another reputable provider. This company is a scam, and they are only interested in collecting your money — not helping you.

    Original Review: I purchased a warranty plan through American Dream Auto Warranty after being assured that major components, including the transmission, were fully covered. When my vehicle began experiencing issues, I immediately brought it to a dealership for diagnosis. It took over a month for the warranty company to finally send out an inspector. After the inspection, they denied my claim, citing alleged “rust in the transmission” and claiming that someone at the dealership told them I had been driving the vehicle long before dropping it off — which is completely false. As soon as I noticed something was wrong, I stopped driving and took it in for service.

    This company is quick to take your money, but extremely slow — and ultimately unwilling — to pay for repairs. Their denial tactics seem designed to avoid responsibility, and they appear to deny more claims than they approve. What they advertise as “covered” is not honored when it matters most. In my opinion, this is false advertising and deceptive business practice. If you’re considering a warranty provider, I strongly advise you to stay far away from American Dream Auto Warranty. Don’t fall for the same trap I did. Also, there is a $250 cancellation fee.

    I’ve had American Dream coverage for over a year. Bought my warranty about 92,000. Just broke 100,000. Long story short denied my claim two times. Say they don’t cover clutch’s. Informed them. My Jeep does not have a clutch. But I have a clutch drum inside of the transmission. So they said that part was not listed in my warranty. But in my warranty says all lubricated parts. And the clutch drum is a lubricated part inside of my transmission. They say if it’s not listed and what’s listed in my components, which with five parts that was listed on the transmission on what was covered under transmissions, torque converter, transfer case, transmission, case and a couple more parts which was listed as well as all lubricated parts. You can see policy in photos.

    I come to find out the hard way that this company is a scam. They just take your money and do anything to deny claims. I wouldn’t recommend American Dream Auto to anybody. Just save your money and fix your car. Now I have to play the legal game and pay out-of-pocket to get my Trackhawk fixed. SMH. And very rude customer service by the way, but was very nice when I signed up for my plan. Only good reviews I see is the polite customer service upon sign-up.

It clearly states in my policy the part was covered and no mention of wear and tear not being covered. The Tie Rod was broken and it’s included in my coverage. They tell you a decision but you have no choice to talk to anyone to dispute the decision. The salesperson told me he was aware of the age of the truck. Not to worry because that’s what an extended warranty covers.

    After looking at all the different problems that this truck has, and according to everything I've read and watched on YouTube, the throttle body is going to be one of the parts I'll need to have replaced. However, when I read my contract, it had throttle body as one of the things that won’t be covered by the warranty. Half of the things that could go wrong with my truck won’t be covered.

    The representative I spoke with was cool, but she lied about American Dream’s coverage. I told the lady I spent all my savings on this truck. According to her, since I got the Platinum plan, anything that goes wrong with my truck will be covered, to where I shouldn’t have to call them and ask for permission to get anything fixed.

    My warranty doesn’t start until the 1st of this coming month. It has a 30-day waiting period. Plus, I haven’t driven 1,000 miles yet. I drive 15 minutes, back and forth, to work. The representative didn’t tell me about that part either.

    After having a plan for 7 months, submitted my first claim. Took over a week for an inspector, and 2 weeks for a response on the matter. Submitted a claim for a faulty fuel pump leaking fuel into the oil and not holding pressure. I am a platinum customer that covers bumper to bumper. Claim was denied because fluid contamination. They read fluid contamination and didn't read to address the cause of the contamination. Extremely disappointed. Shopped around heavily for an extended warranty prior to choosing American Dream and decided wrong. Customer service only answer was to keep an eye on my email. I had to call daily for over two weeks for a claim to be denied. I had recommended this company to friends, coworkers, and family until my recent experience.

    When I requested information they promised they cover everything in my car. After 2 months they send me an update on the policy excluding almost everything. After my car went for service and a transmission was needed the provided all the wrong information and later requested a dismantling of my transmission at my cost for inspection that took almost one month, so far my car is been in the shop for 3 months and now the denied my claim for being regular use and tear of my vehicle for not maintaining in good service. I just changed oil to the engine and transmission after I purchased my vehicle 4 months when I purchase this policy. American Dream is not an honest co to do business and they will pull every excuse to not cover the claim. They are trained to take you for a right and take advantage of consumers. Don’t use them at all.

    Updated on 08/12/2025: So after emailing the address they listed I did not receive any correspondence. Not even an auto response with a "we received your email and we will be in contact with in ...." So I called and asked to speak with a resolution manager. I was told no one was available and would it be okay to have them call me back. I said so far the track record for return calls is zero, but I would take a chance. He then hung up on me. Seriously doubt I hear back from them via email or phone call.

    Original Review: I paid $3500 for a warranty. The first three claims I had were either denied or barely covered anything. I chose to cancel my warranty and get a refund for the remaining amount which was $2500. I made this request in May. It is now August and I still have not received my refund.     Updated on 08/15/2025: American Dream won't pay what they promise. When American Dream responds on review sites that they want to resolve the issue it is simply for show! When you call for resolution about a claim that they have denied, they say the claim is now closed and because it's now closed, they can't do anything about it. Because I finally paid my own repair bills that American Dream should have paid, they say I now have no right to contest the fact that they didn't cover it? That really sounds like a scam to me!

    Do yourself a favor and don't ever believe what American Dream tells you when they sell you a policy.... Know up front that they will only pay for the specific components listed that might fail inside each system in the car. And, don't bother reading the list of exceptions for things they don't cover because it ends by saying it's not an exhaustive list and to refer to only the components it covers. American Dream lies...And then they steal.... Don't fall into their trap!

    Original Review: I recently purchased the most comprehensive extended warranty plan American Dream offers. At the time of sale, I was told it was a “bumper-to-bumper” warranty covering everything except general maintenance. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. The first time I brought the car in for repairs, I learned that common equipment failures, in my case the air conditioner and heated seats, are not covered. Even more concerning, their interpretation of the contract is that unless a specific part is explicitly listed as covered, it will not be covered, even though those parts are not listed in the exclusions. The way they try to get around this is by saying their exclusion list is not exhaustive. I have emails that say I bought a bumper to bumper warranty...But that's a lie! Don't fall into the same trap I did!

    As anyone else experienced this issue with American Dream Auto Protect company, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, I canceled my policy because I sold my vehicle, I reached out to the company and spoke with Representative Calvin **, who informed me that it would take 18 to 30 business days to process the cancelation and mail out my refund check. Ok, but strange way of doing business, so I compared this experience with my 2023 policy cancelation experience with Raymond **, Claims Manager, and I received my refund in 10 days.

    After 31 business days, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, I contacted America Dream Auto Protect customer service again at (800) 349-3027 to follow up and was told my refund check was mailed on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Ok, you should receive it any day now. Today, Thursday, August 7, 2025, I attempted to call American Dream Auto Protect, (800) 349-3027, only to discover that the phone number was no longer in service. After a brief internet search, I located this company’s new phone number, (833) 985-2452, and spoke with another representative. I explained to her that I was told the last time I called that my refund check was mailed on Wednesday, July 8, 2025.

    During this conversation, I told her that it is now 29 days since the refund check was allegedly mailed, now I’m questioning if the refund check was actually mailed on Wednesday, July 8. She told me to wait until the end of the week, which is tomorrow. American Dream Auto Protect is based in New Jersey; I reside in Nevada. It doesn’t take 29 days for a first class letter to travel across the country. Perhaps this representative has no idea what services the USPS provides, like ‘Informed Delivery,’ that notifies you of what letters and packages are scheduled for delivery the next day. Guess what, American Dream Auto Protect letter isn’t included in the Friday, August 8, 2025.

    I purchased a Platinum extended warranty from American Dream Auto Protect in December 2024 for $3,500, thinking it would cover major repairs on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. Big mistake! When I filed a claim in May 2025 for covered issues like fuel injector failure, spark plugs, EVAP system, and throttle body service (totaling ~$2,426 based on dealership diagnostics), they stalled for months with excuses. First, they denied it citing "improper prior repair" without proof, offering only a pathetic $400 "goodwill" gesture. A similar prior claim (fuel injector #5) was approved easily at the same dealership, so why the inconsistency? I had to involve lawyers to appeal, leading to inspections that confirmed the diagnostic codes but still left the claim "pending" indefinitely.

    Despite countless emails, calls, and texts over three months, they've gone radio silent, forcing me to drive with reduced performance (4-5 mpg loss, costing extra in gas). Their contract promises coverage, but in reality, it's all tactics to avoid paying out. Customer service is rude and unhelpful post-sale. Avoid this company – it's a scam dressed as a warranty. Save your money and go elsewhere!

    However, the encounter quickly soured once I filed a claim. My 2017 Rogue had a significant issue detected by the dealer. They noticed metal in the oil and suspected a problem with the rear end. When I involved American Dream, their inspection process felt invasive and unnecessarily complicated. They insisted on having the car completely dismantled for inspection. Meanwhile, I was burdened with rental car costs that vastly exceeded any potential repair fees.

    I found myself shelling out $400 for the dismantling process since they don’t cover that, and they only offer rental car reimbursement for six days at $30 per day. Unfortunately, my expenses reached about $1,500. Customer service, when I reached out, seemed powerless to expedite the process due to another company handling inspections. The disconnect between them didn't help my situation.

    Upon reflection, the salesman’s promises appear misleading. The expectation of seamless repair processing wasn’t met. Their claims suggested quick reimbursement and coverage, but that wasn’t the case. My ordeal has tarnished their offering and impacted my perception significantly. Honesty and transparency from the get-go would have significantly altered my experience for the better.

    🔴 WARNING: Avoid American Dream Auto Protect – Unethical & Unprofessional. This company is a nightmare. I’ve had two claims with them—both wrongfully denied. Most recently, I filed a claim for a failed bearing in my 2020 Mercedes GLE 350. My vehicle is a Certified Pre-Owned with full Mercedes maintenance records. Yet, they denied the claim citing “engine overheating”—a diagnosis my certified mechanic completely refutes. Their behavior was disgraceful: no proof given, no inspector report, no proper explanation. Emails ignored. Calls dropped. Supervisor access refused.

    My car sat torn down for over 3 weeks waiting for their inspector. I was promised after the first denied claim that future claims would be approved. That promise was nothing but manipulation to keep my money. This company engages in deceptive tactics, ignores legitimate diagnostics, and evades contractual responsibility.     My wife's car was covered by American Dreams. She filed 3 different claims in one year, and all were declined. There's always a reason why they will not pay for any repairs, even the small ones! They always find an I clause in the contract that eliminates their responsibility to pay. This was a great concept or Idea, but it's just a con Game! When I bought the policy, I was told the "Platinum" was bumper to bumper except cosmetic, tires and wheels. (Damage Risk: Driving with a broken shutter could eventually lead to engine damage from overheating, especially in severe conditions it is essential for optimizing engine cooling and improving fuel efficiency by controlling airflow.)

    Many customers of American Dream Auto Protect report extremely poor experiences, describing the company as terrible and a potential scam due to issues with denied claims, endless delays, rude customer service, and difficulties canceling policies. While some initial experiences with sales may be positive, the post-sale experience is frequently negative, with claims being denied based on vague or undisclosed "pre-existing" conditions or "service bulletins".     Even though other companies, like Endurance, seem to have bigger advertising budgets, anecdotal satisfaction from a few people convinced me to give American Dream a try. The customer service, when setting up my service, was alright. However, there was a hiccup because when I signed up with American Dream, I already had a warranty through the dealership from whom I bought my car. The person I dealt with from American Dream assured me they could help retrieve the money from my old warranty, but that hasn't happened yet. This situation has been a bit disappointing.

    In terms of improvements, I believe American Dream could enhance their customer experience by developing an interactive website or app for filing claims and handling services digitally. Much like the convenience of car insurance apps by Progressive or Geico, having everything at my fingertips would make things smoother, avoiding the need to always call.

    My car, a Chevy, was getting old, and I wanted coverage in case anything went wrong. I landed on American Dream Auto Protect. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't ideal. When I tried to use the auto warranty, I found out they couldn't cover the cost of a new motor because the repair was worth more than the car itself. This left me quite disillusioned with their service. On top of that, when I decided to cancel the service because my car was inoperable and I couldn't use the car warranty, they wanted to charge me a $250 cancellation fee. They claimed it was part of the agreement we signed. I didn't feel this was fair. It seemed unreasonable to pay for a service I wasn’t using due to their inability to fix my car. In conclusion, American Dream Auto Protect did little for me. They didn't provide the support I expected and added the frustration of a cancellation fee.

    I looked up vehicle warranty providers and signed up with American Dream Auto Protect. The process was smooth. I spoke with someone and found their customer service to be quite good, which was reassuring. I have a Nissan under this coverage plan and the cost and coverage seem fair so far, but since I haven't had to use it yet, I can't comment too deeply. I'd rate it a 3 out of 5.
