    Promised a pdf of my coverage via email. Sent a link and the coverage details were greyed out. Started reading reviews, couldn’t find one that said their claim was covered/paid. Found dozens that said they were denied coverage despite proof given by a their certified mechanic and disputed by American’s “inspector” (hack). Pathetic! Also dozens of complaints of being placed on hold for over an hour when they called in to cancel the service. Exactly what I am experiencing as I write this review waiting to cancel my agreement.

    I called the first time in a young lady told me she needed my last four digits of my VIN number. I got off the phone and looked it up. I called back and Miss ** answer the phone. When I was telling her that I was trying to look and see what my warranty was she already knew who I was. After we spoke I wanted to know how did she know me and she told me she had looked me up. Phenomenal job. Outstanding. I pray you all have more that's working in there like Miss **. She's a lifesaver.     I got a used car, and I wanted to have something there in case something went wrong with it. I liked that American Dream wasn't pushing me into signing up with them. The rep explained everything very thoroughly. When my car got totaled in a hailstorm, they did really good. American Dream is good to work with. The price is good as well. But the website's very limited. It doesn't have a lot of options. It'll tell you your policy number but it doesn't go in depth about your coverage or what policy you have. There was also a really long hold time when I called the other day. I was probably on hold for 45 minutes to an hour. There's no way to call domestic support that I noticed.

    I did a third-party referral, and American Dream was one of the companies that was on the list. They called me and we went through their services, and it fit my vehicle needs. They collected the information including the mileage about the vehicle which is a 2019 Ford Raptor. They offered me their premium policy first, which was what I was looking for in the first place. They discussed how to fund it and different options for it, and that went pretty smoothly. It was set up within 20 minutes.

    I asked about coverages and the specifics but the associate was not in a position to tell me what was covered and not covered. I don't believe that they can say 100% that something would be covered without it being reviewed. There was some false feeling of security with them affirming coverages on things without them going through the formal review process. I brought up specific items that are of the high stress on my vehicle, such as cam phasers or shocks or suspension. They said those are covered. But after reading reviews online, I found multiple different instances where vehicles were not covered for that issue due to whatever litigation was made through the claims process.

    It seems like there's an army of people that go out of their way to find a reason to deny a claim, which is very common for a third-party warranty company. They told me and affirmed that they would cover the components on my vehicle that I've seen them not cover through reviews. That makes me uneasy. They should not affirm coverages on things that they don't know about.

    I called American Dream to cancel because I got poor customer service. It was terrible. I bought about two policies from them the night before. The very next day, before noon, I got three calls from them to sell me a policy on my Cadillac. I kept telling them I bought a policy on my Cadillac the night before. At lunch time, I took a few minutes and called American Dream. I got somebody on the phone and told them I'd gotten three calls from them before noon that day and that they kept wanting to sell me a policy on the car that I've already bought a policy from them. The rep said he was gonna take care of it right then.

    As I was on my way home that afternoon, I got somebody from American Dream again, wanting to sell me a policy. I asked if he could transfer me to somebody that could take care of the issue but he hung up. I called back and got somebody. I told them I wanted to cancel my policies. They transferred me to somebody and he started asking me questions. While I was talking to the dude on the phone, he hung up on me. I had called back and they said they were gonna take care of that situation. They kept talking and convinced me to hold on a little while. They reduced my deductible to zero so I still have a policy through them, but I don't know that I'm gonna keep it yet.

    It's like nobody knows what anybody else is doing and nobody has a clue. It should be just as easy to cancel as it is to sign up. Signing up was easy. They tell you everything you're gonna get for how much. I was gonna get free oil changes, rotation of the tires and changing transmission. But when you go to cancel, they keep dragging it out and keep trying. They don't wanna lose your money. My policy through American Dream for the Cadillac was $187 and something and $153 and something for the Ram. Those two policies together cost me right out what I had for three policies with Endurance.

    American Dream Auto Protect is a scam. A fraud and a thief company. I put my truck in the shop to get fixed after paying months of this so-called auto protection and then they want me to pay $5000 out of my pocket to get my truck fixed. This company is nothing but a scam. They take your monthly payments. They say they’re gonna get it fixed then they deny your claim and then when they ask for a refund, they say no they’re not gonna refund you and what was I paying for all the months? This company does not stand behind anything they offer. I will avoid this company. They are nothing but a thief fraud and a scam company. One of the worst companies I ever dealt with in my life.

    I have to eventually change my ignition switch. Every now and then I have a problem when I go to start my vehicle. It starts up, but sometimes the ignition switch is not doing anything. My mechanic said there's a computer problem. It's not the battery or the starter. I signed up with American Dream Auto Protect for an extended warranty but I canceled the service. They told me they were in Edison, but I couldn't find an exact address. Every time I typed up the address they were advertising, it came up State Farm. Something didn't add up and I didn't like it. Every time I called in to cancel it, they would put me on hold but would never come back to the phone. I would call back but they would do the same thing. I don't think American Dream Auto Protect is a legit business.

    I was researching American Dream and when I was telephoned by them, the product sounded similar to most, and it was a limited contract. It will take four years to get paid and two with a senior discount. Getting signed up was easy. The person who was helping me appeared to be knowledgeable about it. He was very polite. He answered several of the questions that I had. According to the contract, I can use the waranty within 30 days and a thousand miles after purchase.

    I highly DO NOT recommend this company. I took out the policy the 1st of the year and twice they denied claims, but the biggest frustration is this:

    1. On hold for over an hour several times
    2. wrote letters to cancel my contract, no response
    3. They continued to hit my bank for payment.

    4. Horrible customer service

    This company is full of **. Had my policy for 3 months, drove over 10,000 miles during that time. Transmission goes out, put a claim in and get denied. Called to cancel right after. They said ok and is still trying to bill me. Canceled 2 months ago (at least I thought) and they are still trying to bill me. I've been calling for the last 3 weeks to speak to a manager and all they do is put on hold and never pickup. I've been left on hold for at least an hour every time. I'm currently on hold as we speak. It's been 45 mins so far. Run from this company. They lie to your face. Customer service is painfully dreadful to say the least.

    I am extremely disappointed with my experience with American Dream Auto and the handling of my recent claim. My claim was denied by a claims manager, Michelle, based on language that does not appear anywhere in my contract. I have reviewed my agreement carefully, and it clearly states that coverage applies when a part is not operating as intended. At no point does my contract require the part to be completely failed, yet that is the justification being used to deny my claim.

    This raises serious concerns about how claims are being evaluated and whether decisions are being made in good faith. Customers purchase this coverage for peace of mind, not to have valid claims denied based on interpretations that contradict the written agreement. In addition, the process has involved delays and a lack of clear, consistent communication, which only adds to the frustration.

    Anyone who might be considering buying a extended warranty from American Dream reconsider. The staff is unprofessional when they speak to you. I purchased a bumper to bumper warranty paying for 2yrs. When I needed to use the claim they denied the claim even though they agreed for the warranty knowing the yr make and model. Paying for 2yrs for a platinum policy bumper to bumper. They are a rip off. Go somewhere else. So sad that they take your money every month and do not cover what they tell you they cover. Please anyone using them reconsider.

    I purchased a vehicle service contract from American Dream Auto Protect for approximately $4,000, of which I have paid $2,000 to date, based on representations that it would provide meaningful repair coverage and continuous protection. At the time of sale, the company was fully aware of my vehicle’s age and mileage (over 200,000 miles), agreed to cover up to 300K miles, yet failed to disclose a critical limitation—that claims would effectively be reduced to a “distressed trade-in value” rather than the actual cost of repair. After a covered mechanical failure, I obtained a repair estimate of $3,100 from the Ford Dealership. The handling of my claim was extremely inconsistent and concerning. The company denied the claim for policy expiration, then denied it again citing an unrelated component, later approved the claim, revoked that approval as an “error,” and ultimately reinstated it only after I provided proof of coverage.

    Despite stating that their valuation is based on NADA average trade-in value, they offered only $1,400, which does not align with their own methodology or independent valuation sources (NADA, Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book), all of which support significantly higher values. Due to the delays (we were without our vehicle for an entire MONTH), contradictions, and lack of meaningful resolution, I was forced to pay the full $3,100 repair cost with $1800 out of pocket.

    Additionally, I provided multiple valuation documents throughout this process, yet the company claimed they were not received, further demonstrating poor internal communication and customer service. This situation reflects deceptive sales practices. A policy sold as repair coverage was applied in a manner that drastically limits its value, which was never explained at the time of purchase. Since they do not send the contract until payment is receieved - the obscure explaination concerning "Trade-In" valuation was completely undisclosed. Given these issues, I am requesting a full refund of the premiums I have paid ($2,000) and cancellation of any remaining balance. I believe this matter may reflect a broader pattern of conduct that could affect other consumers.

    Fraud! Scam! What is their CLAIM APPROVAL RATE? Don't believe reviews of those who have not made a claim! This company seems just fine when getting pricing information and discussing the items they supposedly cover. Agents are polite and friendly. But once you file a claim, they suddenly can only say, "it'll be 24-48 hours" when it will take weeks for each step and even more for a resolution.     When the company keeps your car for close to 30 days, still can't seem to determine whether or not they're going to approve the claim and then acts like they don't care when you inform them because it's been almost a month you lost a form of employment. I find this to be the worst company ever. I have an attorney looking into this now. I've lost over $1,500 because of my loss of my second job because of this company and they act like they don't care. What kind of company has inspectors that don't work directly for them. Makes no sense to me. Worst ever.

    Do not purchase from American Dream Auto Protect. 9 months into a 5 year plan, my truck had a check engine light for my transmission. 3 weeks later (not being able to drive my truck) and many phone calls to them, they told me I had to pay out of pocket to have the transmission pulled and torn down for 2500 dollars non-refundable. This was so they could deny coverage, and I would have to pay over 5,000 more for a replacement transmission.

    I would not recommend this company to anyone. They told me I had 30 days to cancel my policy. If I found something that would suit my needs better. I did some research. Found another company, yet when I called American Dream to cancel my policy they refuse to speak to me. I called multiple times. Waited on hold for 10 to 15 minutes each time then it just got to the point where they would answer my call and just stay silent and send me straight to a recording. They will not refund my money. Not even sure if they've canceled my policy. I've had to take other actions through my bank to ensure that they don't take any more money from my account. Bunch of crooks in my opinion.

    Today I received, at my request, a phone call from American Dream Auto Protect. While the tone of the representative was cordial once I advised him I would wait until I received quotes from 2 other companies extreme pressure was applied. I was told unless I joined immediately discounts and other offers weren't guaranteed. It reminds me of an auto salesman. When I asked him to stop he continued to apply pressure. "I'm not pressuring you, I just need you to be aware you could lose any discounts." I told him if that was the case it could be a good reason to go with another carrier.     This company is ran by a bunch of thieves. Do not waste your money! I done everything exactly like I was supposed to. I kept my maintenance up and took care of my car very well. But it doesn't matter to these scammers. They're going to deny your claim no matter what. Then they'll offer you a $500 good faith payment since they wouldn't pay for the thousands of dollars of repairs that was clearly covered in my contract. By far the worst experience I've ever had with any company!!!!! I literally just gave away $3300 for Platinum coverage and got absolutely nothing in return. Do your research find reviews where people have made claims to see what they say about their claims being paid. Because they pay very few claims if any at all.     Buyer BEWARE!!!! Never Never Never Ever trust this company!!!! I was mislead from sales to customer service!! The salesman told me that I had a 30 day or 1000 miles grace period BUT if anything happened to my car before the grace period to reach out to him and he would see what he could do to assist with repairs. THAT was the first lie because he knew that I would never hear from him AGAIN!. I signed up on February 2, 2026. My car broke down on Valentine's Day 2026. I paid jiffy lube 347.00 for new spark plugs but the mechanic told me that there was a possible oil leak.

    I immediately called American Dream and asked for the salesman who sold me the policy. I was told he didn't work with clients after signing up. I spoke with the attending agent in reference to my car issues. She stated that all I had to do was bring my car to the dealership for repair on March 3rd and EVERYTHING would be covered. That was the second lie!! I took the vehicle into the dealership for repair on March 10th. On the way to the dealership I noticed my a/c wasn't working. I hadn't used it all winter but it's getting warm in the state I am in. I mentioned it to the dealership and they said they would check to see if it needs coolant.

    I was called by American Dream claims for a customer statement. The agent requested all maintenance and repair records from the last year. I had no problem with that. I drove around and collected the information needed to move forward with my claim. I emailed every single report. Over the next week I received calls from extremely RUDE agents stating that they didn't receive all reports. I was positive that everything was sent to them but I resent reports several times on several days due to their claim of not receiving them.

    After the back and forth, my claim was submitted and a day later denied. The service manager at the dealership expressed how RUDE American Dream agents were and from experience with them, I agreed. He said that they denied my claim because it was preexisting. He even said they denied the claim for my a/c because it wasn't over 1000 miles yet it had been 30 days. He was very upset at the dishonest level of service and I am extremely disappointed. I'm trying to cancel my policy. I received an email stating that it was cancelled BUT I also received a form that stated I needed to obtain a notarized form with the actual mileage in order to cancel the policy. I'm confused and I don't trust this company at all!!!

    Do not use this company! They will tell you anything to get your money. They will demand multiple inspections on your claimed vehicle at your expense, driving you further and get on it. Just so they get another payment from you. This company made me rack up a $7000 mechanic Bill on my car just to deny my claim.     The name should be American nightmare. I had platinum coverage. It took three weeks to tell me they would not have cover the water pump.The water pump was one of the items that was covered in the platinum coverage, but they found a reason not to cover it. The Mecanhic showed me what he wrote to them about the water pump. We both had no idea what they were talking about, but he said this is the reason why we are not covering it and that was not the only thing D did not cover that they said they covered in coverage.     I filed my first claim with American Dream Auto Protect and it was not a dream. I took my car in for maintenance and the dealership indicated that there was an issue with some of engine gaskets. The gaskets would need to be replaced as well as other work. When I submitted the claim I received a denial which simply pointed me to the exclusion section of the Agreement. It also stated that if you had any questions or disagreement with the decision to reply with your concerns. I pointed out in my reply that the exclusion for gaskets did not apply to my situation due to the gaskets needing replaced being specifically mentioned in another part of the coverage plan. I have to date received no reply - only monthly charges for "coverage". Very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere.

However, I had a little problem when I signed up with this one lady. She told me when I signed up that she was gonna go ahead, and I could start using my card. She said, "Since you're joining today, I'm gonna go ahead and let you go ahead and start using your card. But you can't get anything major yet.” I said, "I want to do my oil change right now.” She said, “Okay. Once you get the cards, you can go ahead and do that."

    I was going to get the oil change, but then something told me to call back and find out if I could do it, because first, they told me I had to wait 30 days, but the lady who signed me up said she was gonna call me back once she signed me up, and I paid.     Not happy at all. I have had my account with them and I have 3 cars. I called today to cancel 2 of the car. They were going to charge me over 300 for canceling and now they said it was on page 9 of the contract so make sure you read all 300 pages of contract that company give. Otherwise. I have referred several people to them on top of this. Just another company taking advantage of individuals struggling. If I would have been able to cancel, I probably would have resigned right back up in the next four months when I was doing better. All he could do is, "Ohh I'll give you a month for free." Which it's not free because they don't even help with car repairs. I had a five thousand dollar bill for several things wrong with my Cadillac. And then supposedly they don't cover anything that was wrong with my cadillac. It's all a gimmick for them to make money in you to lose money.

    I don't see how there's much difference between any of those types of so-called warranties or car insurance. They're all crooks. So I no longer have any agreement with American Dream. They want people to think that they're going to take care of things, and then they've got all sorts of little loopholes to get out of taking care of anything. Then in the meantime, they're collecting money every month. But as soon as something happens, they would say that they don't cover it. It’s just a bunch of stupidness.

    We paid into one of those companies for about four years, and then we had an issue come up, which one would think that would be covered, but they told us, “Oh, we don't cover that.” I would think that they were to cover that just for the sake of the fact that we had carried that policy for four years. We had been paying into this thing close to $100 a month for four year and they're collecting and getting set off of our money, but then they turn around and tell us that they don't cover something. I'm not happy with any of them. I wouldn't give anyone a recommendation to buy any of those companies out there.

    I have a Mercedes E63 that is unique and I had gone to other companies, but they couldn’t offer me the coverage that American Dream did. I was concerned about the engine and the drive train and they insure older or hard-to-insure vehicles. I paid upfront so they gave me a fairly decent incentive, although I had to lay down 4,000 in change for six years. But that breaks down to be cheaper than what I was paying for half the coverage. The signup was easy and painless, and the rep was professional. The rep offered me all the deals that could be offered, especially since I extended out as far as six years. I paid for five and they gave me the sixth year for free, and it's supposed to cover everything, just like all the rest of them, including the oil changes.

    The price was right in the ballpark with all the big ones and they turned out to be less with the incentives they gave me as a veteran. And that was a big thing. There are a lot of companies out there that don't care about veterans. At least now, I can go to someplace and get a little appreciation for the time served. We have a choice. As all salesmen, there was a little pressure. They offered the deal, but I had to sign up with them right then. And shopping around, they all say I had 30 days to review it and I could cancel if I didn’t like it. I did it in an hour or less, talking about what coverage. I was being very specific as to what was covered right up to the twin turbos and American Dream’s rep assured me that I could go to the dealership and that I could get all original parts.

    I haven't had to make a claim and up until the time that I need to, then I'll know. But as of right now, the experience has been all positive. I read up on them, and they’ve got no better or worse reviews than any of the others but at least it makes you think you have some protection. Although I have a truck that's 23 years old, which they wouldn't cover because they only go to 20 years.

    I filled out a form on the internet because I was looking for a warranty on my truck. I've had Endurance, CarShield, American Dream and other companies call me. CarShield has absolutely terrible reviews and Endurance was incredibly pushy, so I didn't sign up with them. But when I talked to American Dream, they caught me on a good day. I listened to the spiel and I ended up signing up for it. The sign up process was relatively easy. I bought the Platinum coverage. I'm gonna call my mechanic and make sure it's straight up because I've read from the online reviews that it takes them forever to evaluate a claim, and then they send out somebody and then they turn it down.

    I originally went with Endurance when the warranty on my car ran out. I went with them for my extended warranty because of all the reviews, and I heard that they were supposed to be the best. After the third claim was denied and I spent thousands of dollars on their service, I dropped them. American Dream Auto Protect happened to call me the day that I was dropping them, so I gave them a shot. They said that they're pretty much bumper-to-bumper. So, I decided to go with them because there was a lot of things that Endurance made a big deal about what they were gonna cover, and they didn't.

    I got my 2019 XT4 Cadillac covered. I needed $180 to sign up, and that's what my monthly payments will be. I have 30 days to decide whether or not I wanna go with them. The contract pretty much states everything their rep told me it was gonna be. If anything happens to my vehicle, they'll cover it. I've already paid out of pocket everything that happened so far. The rep was thorough and explained everything. Everything he said was contractual. He was efficient in his delivery. He didn't mislead me by any degree. So, it was a good thing.

    The warranty is out on my car, and there's only a little over 7,800 miles on it. It still has the same set of tires that it came with, and they still look new. I purchased American Dream, and when I signed up, I talked with a rep. The rep was very courteous. Their price is pretty much competitive with other companies, except that the deductible is much lower. I like that I can also take my vehicle anywhere I like.     The American Dream rep I dealt with was too good. The way that she laid things out, I couldn't her turn down because she had all her messages and all the answers. She definitely did her homework. She could sell the dream. I gave the rep my card number and she had auto pay set up. That way, they know they're gonna get their money and I get the service. That's the reason I try to do that, to keep me from going into the places every month. Auto pay is something that’s vey good and the company was supposed to take the money out on the 3rd.

    People have to shop around for auto warranties. I had a company that got a lawsuit against them, then another company that went bad for a bit. The American Dream rep gave me best deal for my 2023 Malibu. I could get six months of things, and you can't beat that. She included oil change in the contract as well as the transmission and battery. However, I've been with American Dream for about a week and I haven't received either a card or any papers. I want to take my car in for an oil change and see how good the insurance is.

    I'm a master technician, ASE certified, and I used to work on cars. I worked up until 2021. I was a Maryland state inspector for 30 years. I keep my oil and all the maintenance done on time, so nobody can say I didn't change my oil or the coolant because I have all of that done. When I was working in a dealership and cars would come in with the motor locked up, that was the first thing that my supervisor would ask me. "Check the oil." When I look at the oil, it's black, which means they didn't change it. These cars are very susceptible to having that oil changed because they have moving parts that work off of the oil. If the oil is not clean and it gets sludged up, they will stop working, stick, and then they'll cause problems.

    I have a Buick Enclave, the premium one, and I haven't had no problem with it since I had it, which is why I wanted to put a warranty on it. A Buick's heater coil is in a position wherein one has take that whole console. The front has to come out to get the heated coil out, and it's something that I wouldn't be able to do. At the time now, I can't crawl up under a car ‘cause I'm 81 years old. I can't take my own transmission out like I used to do.

    I signed up with American Dream Auto Protect and it was great. I talked to them on the phone and they gave me all the information I needed. It didn't sound like anything was under the cover. The person I talked to said he was the assistant manager and he explained everything. He told me that if there was a breakdown, it would be covered. He did everything that I felt was right and there wasn't anything that I didn't understand. However, I may be dropping American Dream, because I can get a plan cheaper than that.

    I started with CarShield. I looked for the best insurance companies and they were Endurance and American Dream. So, I went with that. In the interim, I went with Coverage X, so I canceled CarShield. I had CoverageX and American Dream both this month. I paid both of them but I had to cancel one. American Dream is rated F by the BBB, and the other company that I was going with is rated A+. Not to mention, they're $50 cheaper with their premium plan. So, I made my decision and decided to cancel American Dream. However, when I was canceling them, they wouldn't let me. I called them and they put me on hold for an hour. They didn't ever come back and speak to me. I figured they weren't ready to deal with me. They're too expensive as well. I wasn't happy with my experience.

    STAY AWAY!!! They do not take calls 24/7. There is no list as to who takes this policy coverage. It took me 9 calls before I could find a certified mechanic to cover the electrical problem I had with the vehicle and accepted American Dream. Once I took the auto in American Dream said they didn't cover the problem at hand. Everything is generalized, there are no actual specifics written in there contracts and I had the platinum policy with them for 2 autos. Last but not least when I tried to cancel these policies, I was sent everywhere but the right place. They want you to go directly to google to write a favorable review before they even get off the phone with you. That's how they get there high ratings. I've had to go online to find an email address to send to cancel this product. Save your money!!! This is a bait and switch operation.

    This company is a total scam. After denying claims for parts clearly described in the contract, I canceled the service 8 months and 4000 miles later. I received confirmation of a partial refund which they happened to keep 1/2 of what I paid. The customer service rep Calvin ** sent me an email that I would receive my partial refund in 18-30 business days. After that time passed, another person said they had no record of my phone call and the refund would take an additional 18-30 business days. At that time he refused to put it in writing. This is a 100 percent scam company. They may pay for a minor part but not honor the contract. I am filing a small claims suit for my $2873 dollars owed.

All features were carefully explained although certain details were different between the oral and written assurances, e.g., whether each event or the total events were limited to the value of the car or $12,500.     The warranty on my 2019 Chevy Equinox ends next month and I wanted to have some kind of coverage, but I'm starting to realize that a lot of the dealerships in my area don't honor these companies. They all complain that they don't get paid and that they don't charge the right amount. I don't want to go outside my dealership, but if I need coverage, I'm going to have to, because I'm in the Syracuse area, and the Chevy dealers in my area do not honor any of those after-warranty places. And American Dream said they do.

    During the signup process, the rep asked me all the questions, such as the make and the year. I said I wanted to shop around and they tried to offer a better price. The rep quoted me a price, and apparently it was the wrong one because they called me back and told me the rep forgot to add in something that you have to add in for New York State, and she forgot to add it in. It was only $4. I decided to go with American Dream but that was before I did my research to find out that no one accepts them.

    I called back to ask American Dream a question and the representative put me on hold. He gave me his supervisor, and he was rude. He said he was cancelling me, and I asked what he was cancelling me for. He said American Dream gave me too good a deal for the coverage that they offered me, so they have the right for 30 days to cancel me, and they did. I was happy with the saleswoman. She was sweet and nice. But after that, it was awful. And no matter how good the price sounded, it wasn’t honored.

    I have a truck that’s getting up there in age, and instead of trading it in and buying a new vehicle at a very high cost, I decided to cut the cost in over half and buy an extended warranty. With everything being so high, I’m hoping it gives me peace of mind and helps out in the long run if I have problems. American Dream offers unlimited miles and for my truck that already has 100,000 miles on it, I don’t have any mileage limits on the coverage.

    It took a long time for the American Dream reps to talk me into signing up. They worked with me for a while, and I got them down on the price a little bit. They were very pleasant. I can’t use the coverage for 30 days, but my vehicle has no problems right now. I’m hoping it will be a long time before I have to use it, if ever I have to. I spent $4,000, so I hope it’s not a waste of money. It's one of those things. Insurance is expensive, but you gotta have it.

    A lot of companies usually put their stuff into a third party, but American Dream doesn't do that. They were the first one that made sense. I signed up and they told me what I would be charged. I like that it was for people with limited income but I canceled about a week ago and it was a horrible experience. I have a car that is covered by a different three-year coverage plan and the guy was trying to talk to me about four years with American Dream, then he came back with an offer from his manager. I said, “I want to cancel.” The guy said, “Thank you for wasting our time.”

    The guy was really rude and pushy. I said, “Don't try and talk me into it. Let me cancel.” He kept going on and on. I was on the phone with him for a good 15 minutes when they thought, “I'll just be on for five minutes.” I hope the call was recorded, because that's not how reps should behave. When someone says they want to cancel, listen to them. My car is a 2016, and I thought, "It's newer than my other one, which is a 2005. And that one can't be covered anymore." I needed a second car to get me around, especially in the snowy season. Unfortunately, I got a car with front wheel drive only, so I need to get snow tires for it, but I'll do that next year.

    STAY AWAY! American Dream will take your money and will give you every excuse in the book not to approve your claim. Their "catch-all" reason will be, continued operation of vehicle despite signs of breakdown. In addition, they will ask you to put out big money i.e. the transmission needs to be broken down ($900 cost) at YOUR expense. And then they will still deny your claim. You have been warned!

    American Dream called me and the sign-up process was good. I signed up with them due to the reasonable deductible. Both my vehicles are getting older. One’s 15 years old, and the other's 12 years old. I was concerned about long, expensive repairs, and I wanted to have less out of pocket. I'm retired and not making the amount of money that I used to make. So, I wanted something to help cover auto repair expenses if they came up.

    The rep I dealt with seemed professional. Of course, they're trying to get people to sign up for the program, but he seemed like he was knowledgeable. However, he didn't say how long I had to be a member before I could use the warranty. He said I could go to any mechanic of my choosing, and they would send an estimate to American Dream, then they would pay them right there on the spot. That was very convenient. The one issue I had with American Dream is I signed up on a Monday, and two days later, they double-charged me again for more than the amount that I originally signed up for. I had to call my bank and do a fraud alert, but I haven't recouped that amount yet. I also called American Dream and they said they had no record of it in their bookkeeping.

Active Lawsuit (January 2026): A class-action lawsuit was filed against the company in early 2026, alleging they violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by using aggressive AI robocalls to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. BBB Rating: They currently hold an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and are not accredited. Most complaints center on claims being denied as "pre-existing conditions" or "normal wear and tear."

    Refund Issues: Multiple recent reports indicate that getting a refund after canceling a policy is difficult, with some customers waiting over 40 days for checks that never arrive. Which they did the same for me. I am telling anybody who's thinking about starting a policy with this company not to do it. Please if you would like to get into a better company do not pick this one. No matter what their star rating is do not pick this company. They will not fix your car and they will not provide proof of why they denied it all. They will say is that it's pre-existing even though it isn't. They will never send an adjuster or an estimator out initially to do a inspection on your vehicle prior to the policy being started. Only after the car is already in the shop and in order to deny, deny, deny. They will not say yes to any claim. So save yourself money and do not pick this company no matter what. Even if the price seems cheap because it will still rip you off. This company is a scam

    And for one American Dream Auto protection gives you false information about their policies that said if I got a policy for $134 that in a couple days I can get my car fixed. Well that was false. After I was manipulated into getting the policy they turn around and tell me that I have to wait 30 days. Then customer service was really rude and so was an agent.     We bought a car that has a little less than 70,000 miles on it. The car warranty offered through the dealership was extremely expensive and I didn't want to finance it for 72 months with my notes. We got pricing from CarShield, Endurance, and American Dream. The guy from American Dream was very upfront on what they do and don't cover, and the price was pretty reasonable. The others were like for $100 a month, $4,800 in total. This is for $140, and we pay it for two years and then the next two years are free. So, that's about $3,500 for 48 months. It's cheaper and covers a lot of things, including the window and sunroof motors, and electronics.

    Signing up was very simple and upfront, and the warranty starts in 30 days. Payment is set to be charged on my credit card every month. I was given the log-ins so I can look at all the warranty details, but I'll also get a package mailed to me because I like to make a file. I'm still waiting on it to get here and to really look over the coverage to make sure. We had a lot of trouble with our previous Ford Expedition and wound up putting around $5,000. So we thought, this time, we'd get a warranty at least for the time being because the warranty is good through 125,000 miles. I'm a little iffy on that, but if the car gives me trouble, I'll get rid of it before then. All these cars seem to have a lot of problems, and with so much electronics now, it's hard not to go with at least some piece of a warranty. I didn't want to put that kind of money into a car repair again if I could help it. My husband and I are both retired, and we don't drive that much.

    We took out the warranty so we can see for 30 days what companies offer. Endurance called me and kept pushing. I said I'm just getting information for my husband because he's working and he wanted me to get information because his Pilot was out of warranty and that I don't make any major decisions without talking to him.

    On the other hand, American Dream Auto Protect asked me if wanted to discuss it with him, that I could put him on hold. I discussed that with my husband. He said, "Go ahead and get it and we'll look at it and do the 30-day." I told the rep that I was an Air Force veteran. He gave the veteran's discount. He also asked our age and gave the senior citizen discount.

    I don't like the idea of being unprotected with a higher-end car, and I've had a lot of bad luck with one company in the past. I looked American Dream up online and spoke to a guy, who assured me that they do cover my particular car. We connected on a lot of levels, and he made me feel good about the whole process after what I went through with Endurance, and I appreciate that. He was awesome.

    What they offered relative to what the cost was super competitive. It seemed like a better deal at the time. It's only been about two weeks since I got the warranty. I haven't had any issues with the car yet, so let's see how they cover everything in case of an issue. But I think very positively right now. The customer service was top-notch, and it increases the value of their product.

    They're an awesome company so far, and I would definitely recommend American Dream. In fact, I told my mom about it. She still has a little bit of warranty left on her car, but she said she's going to look into it.

    I'm almost 78 and thinking my car's gonna last me until I'm gone. It is going into its seventh year and it only has 22,000 miles. It's in decent shape and I’m gonna keep it. The best thing to do is to get another warranty on it and I need that because I live on a fixed income. Different people called me and I went through a lot of talking with them and just decided that American Dream was the one I wanted. They made a good deal for me, and I extended it an extra year. The app was fine. I just couldn't get the policy. I don't know if it's coming by mail or I need to print it. I could print the card which I got, but I couldn't print the policy itself.

    The man I spoke with was very kind and spent a lot of time on the phone with me. I had questions myself, which he answered very promptly and then would go to his manager for other things and come back with an answer. He spoke well of the company. I would recommend American Dream, because John, the rep, was very informative. He took his time with me and even talked about my animals. He took the time to be personal with me, and that felt wonderful. My daughter was always my go-to and when I lost her, I wasn't sure how to go about this. But this man understood.

    I purchased American Dream, but I canceled it, too. I bought another vehicle, and it has a warranty on it. The sign-up wasn't too bad, but trying to get it canceled took me an hour and 15 minutes on the phone with them. They didn't want to cancel it. They want to take your money, but they don't want to give it back.

    I had my 2019 Chevy Malibu covered with American Dream. I had gotten a phone call from one of their reps and I've heard what they cover and decided to go with that. I like that I only gotta pay for it for a couple years and it's completely paid for. So if my car breaks down, I can go in and have it worked on right away if I need to.
