STAY AWAY! American Dream will take your money and will give you every excuse in the book not to approve your claim. Their "catch-all" reason will be, continued operation of vehicle despite signs of breakdown. In addition, they will ask you to put out big money i.e. the transmission needs to be broken down ($900 cost) at YOUR expense. And then they will still deny your claim. You have been warned!

This is the details, they called and offered me 2 years pay and 4 years free, with maintenance free! She hung up on me!!! No bye. No nothing! Promised me the moon, I thought this was a good company, but sadly disappointed! Program sounded good. Was ready to finalize everything but instead she hung up on me because I asked her to hold on while I discussed this with my husband! Not a happy person!

American Dream called me and the sign-up process was good. I signed up with them due to the reasonable deductible. Both my vehicles are getting older. One’s 15 years old, and the other's 12 years old. I was concerned about long, expensive repairs, and I wanted to have less out of pocket. I'm retired and not making the amount of money that I used to make. So, I wanted something to help cover auto repair expenses if they came up.
The rep I dealt with seemed professional. Of course, they're trying to get people to sign up for the program, but he seemed like he was knowledgeable. However, he didn't say how long I had to be a member before I could use the warranty. He said I could go to any mechanic of my choosing, and they would send an estimate to American Dream, then they would pay them right there on the spot. That was very convenient. The one issue I had with American Dream is I signed up on a Monday, and two days later, they double-charged me again for more than the amount that I originally signed up for. I had to call my bank and do a fraud alert, but I haven't recouped that amount yet. I also called American Dream and they said they had no record of it in their bookkeeping.

I needed a warranty and since I thought American Dream's rates were good, I went with them. My experience was great. I called first and accepted the terms and conditions. I got the Platinum plan.

My salesman did a good job of explaining to me about the policy, the different things that it offers and the procedure about it. I signed up for protection for a 2017 Silverado High Country pickup truck, and as far as purchasing the policy from American Dream Auto Protect, everything was good.

Critical Alerts (2026 Update). Active Lawsuit (January 2026): A class-action lawsuit was filed against the company in early 2026, alleging they violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by using aggressive AI robocalls to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. BBB Rating: They currently hold an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and are not accredited. Most complaints center on claims being denied as "pre-existing conditions" or "normal wear and tear."
Refund Issues: Multiple recent reports indicate that getting a refund after canceling a policy is difficult, with some customers waiting over 40 days for checks that never arrive. Which they did the same for me. I am telling anybody who's thinking about starting a policy with this company not to do it. Please if you would like to get into a better company do not pick this one. No matter what their star rating is do not pick this company. They will not fix your car and they will not provide proof of why they denied it all. They will say is that it's pre-existing even though it isn't. They will never send an adjuster or an estimator out initially to do a inspection on your vehicle prior to the policy being started. Only after the car is already in the shop and in order to deny, deny, deny. They will not say yes to any claim. So save yourself money and do not pick this company no matter what. Even if the price seems cheap because it will still rip you off. This company is a scam

I got a message that my account will be terminated as of 2/3/26. So I didn’t think much of it. I get an unauthorized charge today! Took forever to try to cancel the policy! I didn’t even want to renew. Very rude with everyone I talked to. They refused to refund my money! So they stole $145 for something I didn’t want at all, and I will not be receiving for the month! Stay away!!!

Absolutely horrible!! They were more expensive than most & when I called to cancel they put me on hold for hours, juggled me through several people, & were very smug. It took me 3 days to get the account canceled & since I took the account out for my daughter they wouldn't let me cancel it. I had to drive across town on ice covered roads so she could tell them to cancel it. I'm the one who took the account out & I was the one paying for it but they wouldn't let me cancel it!!

Don't use this company. They will not pay or fix your car. 2 weeks for an answer and then they denied my claim, because I had it repaired before they gave me an answer. After I wrecked my truck because of the part was not replaced in a timely manner.

Steve was extremely helpful and answering my questions. That has not been the case in the past. I’m now able to go back and address a previous repair that may have been covered, but there was miscommunication. And is helping me with now the repair that is now required for my vehicle.

I worked with the manager Jessica to get several things straightened out on my contract. She was very patient and understanding and took care of all my concerns. Because of her I will recommend your company. I must also say the rep I started with, Roger, was also very good at getting the ball rolling. He also worked after hours to get contract how it would fit my needs. Just compare to other companies and I think you will find this company the best. They offer a longer term contract with the last years of contract free.

I shopped around quite a bit to obtain suitable coverage and price. I first spoke with Santigo on 1/27/26 and received a lot of information and prices from him. I like to see what I'm doing in terms of types of coverage and he told me he would send me the information after I paid the initial payment. I told him I didn't operate that way and I wanted to continue looking at other companies. He was not happy with me for not jumping into his proposition. Then I talked with Giovanni on 1/28/2028. He went into deeper types of coverages and prices based on my 2013 Ford F-150. We looked at several possibilities and eventually I ended up with a package close to what would work for me. Both were great communicators and professional.

They will sell you platinum and receive gold contract. A blatant bait and switch contract. Forget about cancelling it. They will make you wait days and treat you like a retarded with questions unrelated to the contract.

This company is only out to get your money! Customer service is relatively nonexistent and if someone does answer, they transfer you to a different department that leaves you on hold for 30 minutes or more with no answer. I tried unsuccessfully to contact them on January 11, 2026 in order to cancel a policy and it took me more than 20 phone calls and numerous emails before I was finally connected to someone today January 27th and was able to get it canceled.

Do not use, they have a $350 cancellation fee that is hidden in the fine print. They will keep on charging you even after you send them emails listed on their website. You have to call them or write them a letter.

I just purchased this company and I did some research and I think I'm going to withdraw my purchase because everybody's telling me this is a scam. You guys changed your name last year to this name. You used to be a different name. You steal money from people and then you change your name so nobody knows how to get in touch with you anymore. That's just what people's told me. Can you prove them wrong? If so I will stay with you. I just don't want to get screwed over. Been screwed over enough and I haven't heard this from one person either. It's been multiple so what should I believe? Honestly I've also looked you up. You're not five star and you've had a lot of complaints saying stuff is supposed to be covered and then you declined the claims. I just went through that from Endurance. I don't want to go see that.

The vehicle that I was purchasing had a few more miles on it that I wanted. It was around 92 and I wanted something a little less than. It's a 2020 vehicle, but I found this vehicle that an individual had purchased new and a couple traded it in. They had wonderful service records at BMW Meridian, so I decided to go ahead and get this car and just get me an extended warranty on it for peace of mind.
I compared companies who do extended warranties. I also asked the BMW dealership in Meridian and they mentioned a few companies. American Dream Auto Protect was one of them. I reached out to them, and somebody called me back right away, talked me through, and I decided to go ahead and lock in because I've got a 30- day window to close the deal on that. I had a very good experience with American Dream Auto Protect.

I usually buy extended warranties and I talked to several of companies. American Dream sounded better than some of the others I talked to. I didn't know anything about them so I said I was gonna look them up a little and I did and found most of it was pretty positive. I was satisfied with them. Their rep said it’s gonna be a $100 fee per visit with no additional costs. They also sent me a copy of the policy online and I’m supposed to get a written policy in the mail too. But I haven't got it yet.

Horrible company that pressures you into signing up 1st in order to see the policy. Afterwards to make a decision if you want to keep or not. Promises 30 day money back guarantee, but when you call they hold you on the phone for long periods of time just to transfer you and make you wait longer only to hang up on you.

We took out the warranty so we can see for 30 days what companies offer. Endurance called me and kept pushing. I said I'm just getting information for my husband because he's working and he wanted me to get information because his Pilot was out of warranty and that I don't make any major decisions without talking to him.
On the other hand, American Dream Auto Protect asked me if wanted to discuss it with him, that I could put him on hold. I discussed that with my husband. He said, "Go ahead and get it and we'll look at it and do the 30-day." I told the rep that I was an Air Force veteran. He gave the veteran's discount. He also asked our age and gave the senior citizen discount.

I don't like the idea of being unprotected with a higher-end car, and I've had a lot of bad luck with one company in the past. I looked American Dream up online and spoke to a guy, who assured me that they do cover my particular car. We connected on a lot of levels, and he made me feel good about the whole process after what I went through with Endurance, and I appreciate that. He was awesome.
What they offered relative to what the cost was super competitive. It seemed like a better deal at the time. It's only been about two weeks since I got the warranty. I haven't had any issues with the car yet, so let's see how they cover everything in case of an issue. But I think very positively right now. The customer service was top-notch, and it increases the value of their product.
They're an awesome company so far, and I would definitely recommend American Dream. In fact, I told my mom about it. She still has a little bit of warranty left on her car, but she said she's going to look into it.

I'm almost 78 and thinking my car's gonna last me until I'm gone. It is going into its seventh year and it only has 22,000 miles. It's in decent shape and I’m gonna keep it. The best thing to do is to get another warranty on it and I need that because I live on a fixed income. Different people called me and I went through a lot of talking with them and just decided that American Dream was the one I wanted. They made a good deal for me, and I extended it an extra year. The app was fine. I just couldn't get the policy. I don't know if it's coming by mail or I need to print it. I could print the card which I got, but I couldn't print the policy itself.
The man I spoke with was very kind and spent a lot of time on the phone with me. I had questions myself, which he answered very promptly and then would go to his manager for other things and come back with an answer. He spoke well of the company. I would recommend American Dream, because John, the rep, was very informative. He took his time with me and even talked about my animals. He took the time to be personal with me, and that felt wonderful. My daughter was always my go-to and when I lost her, I wasn't sure how to go about this. But this man understood.

I didn't wanna wait until I have problems with my 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid S8 and I'm planning on driving it as long as I can, so I wanna take care of it and decided to get a service contract. The sign-up process with American Dream Auto Protect was easy and everything went smoothly, and all of my questions were answered. I felt very confident in getting my warranty from them, and I'm looking forward to a good experience. My representative was very knowledgeable, cooperative and helped me with my needs. I'm excited about having this product. If people are worried about having car trouble, I would recommend American Dream highly. My experience was top of the line.

I hit the 60,000 mark on my truck and still with a lot of time left in mileage. I wanted to be covered especially with something of similar nature to what I had from my Ford's warranty, and American Dream basically has the same plan. Overall, I'm satisfied with the initial interaction with customer service. The rep left his name and number in case any problems occur.

I purchased American Dream, but I canceled it, too. I bought another vehicle, and it has a warranty on it. The sign-up wasn't too bad, but trying to get it canceled took me an hour and 15 minutes on the phone with them. They didn't want to cancel it. They want to take your money, but they don't want to give it back.

I had my 2019 Chevy Malibu covered with American Dream. I had gotten a phone call from one of their reps and I've heard what they cover and decided to go with that. I like that I only gotta pay for it for a couple years and it's completely paid for. So if my car breaks down, I can go in and have it worked on right away if I need to. I was satisfied with my rep that signed me up and I was pretty happy with what she had to offer.

I was YouTubing on my phone, and an ad came up about car insurance. I poked on it. As I went through, it gave a bit of information. American Dream Auto Protect was the first company that called me. The rep answered any question I had easily. However, my wife has been beating me up, telling me I should cancel it because I don't know anything about the company and I haven't used it. They probably wouldn't cover anything right now because it has only been three weeks.
I got nothing from American Dream since I talked to them on the phone. I'm supposed to get something in the mail from them, which I know takes time. I was also supposed to get something by email, or a confirmation number. On one of my emails I got on my phone, I had two things from them. One of them wanted to try to get with me and sell me a policy. It's like they didn't even know they've done it to me. I had another that said, "Thank you for joining," but it didn't have any numbers.

I received multiple calls from what were VOIP numbers and when I call the numbers back, they say they are American Dream Auto Protect. I have asked no less than six people who answered my callbacks to remove my number from their internal and external call list. Yet, the calls continue to come in.

Just want to warn people to stay away from this company, literally paid every month on my due date for over a year because I didn't want something to go wrong with my Jeep and have to pay thousands out of pocket. First time I tried to use them for a 3200 dollar bill because of issue with my jeep, and of course they said it takes 2 days to get back to me, well 8 days later and hour upon hours of being on hold with empty promises they denied it all, ok I'll cancel and we can leave it at that. Tried to cancel, got offered 500 goodwill to be paid to me, since I already paid the dealership because I needed my jeep back. It had been over 2 weeks.
Of course this was right before another 120 bucks was due, ok I'll get 380 back... come to find out they can only pay the dealership and when I said I wanted to cancel they got rude and said, "Well you called to get 500 bucks" and I said, "Well I want my 120 back because you are changing everything you said on the phone to me." This company is all smoke and mirrors and if you are lucky enough to get someone on the phone, just go with your instinct and cancel they won't honor their contracts, they will find loopholes.

I was shopping extended warranty coverage for one cars. I talked with ADAP, but I decided to go with another company. They called back about an hour later and I explained to them that I went with a different company. I asked them to remove my phone number and contact information. What I got, has been repeated multiple phone calls daily from this company! Talk about sore losers, and immature behavior by company that ConsumerAffairs reported as a good company.

ADAP offers very good extended vehicle service contracts at very competitive prices. The only negative is the very long wait times to speak to a customer service representative. Customer Service Rep "Christina" did a fantastic job addressing my concerns and making the necessary auto coverage policy corrections. She was wonderful to work with: friendly, knowledgeable, professional, helpful and responsive. I really appreciated her outstanding customer service. A great job. I highly recommend.

This company is the worst company I have ever worked with. Better read the whole policy they send you when you purchase it because they are hidden reasons for them not to pay your claims. We have a Nissan with CVT transmission and they don't cover them. But when you purchase the insurance the sales person don't tell you that. They jerked us around for six weeks before telling us it wasn't covered. If I could give I a 0 I would.

I signed up for a policy for an agreed monthly payment and received a confirmation and the policy was to become effective on Jan 3, 2026 which was only about a month after I entered into the contract. Before the policy became in force I received a call that they needed to increase the monthly payment by over $40+ per month. In a not so polite way I told them I don't agree and to cancel the policy. They hung up without giving me any indication that they were canceling. I made several calls to the company to get my deposit back and cancel the monthly debits from my account. After not be able to reach anyone at the company I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and within a couple of days they were able to get me my deposit returned and canceled the policy. I would not recommend this deceitful company.

I would never do business with this company again. Communication with them was terrible, I could never get call backs. Claim was denied for the reason of wear and tear. Well of course it was wear and tear. That's what I purchased the Warranty for. It's a catch all to deny claims. I had control arms that were bad.

The plan I had with American Dream fit me for what I needed and price wise it was an affordable. I can't comment on the policy as a whole because I did not use it but I would hope it would have been an easy & smooth process. The sales representative Christina helped me out very well with comforting my fears with signing me up and when I no longer had a need for the policy she canceled it with no problem.

Terrible! They do everything to deny a claim. I cancel one policy and they dodge the refund. Maybe it’s time to lawyer up?! These people don’t answer the phone either. You can’t get a hold of them ever.

Friendly at first and When they couldn’t cover my vehicle for 21/2 hours they gave me the runaround sending me from person to person until told I’ve had to call back tomorrow! I'm a Cancer Patient and told them so! Quick to take my money but a runaround to get my money refunded!

I've paid 125 dollars a month for one year. I got their best platinum plan., which said covered everything except regular maintenance. My transfer case had a gasket leak and was denied. They said they didnt cover.. When time to make claim they refuse to pay. Saying something or the other. But they took my money out of account every month. They won't anymore. Please stay away all concerned. Bad company.

I have had nothing but horrible service, constantly notified every month that the card on file is NOT valid when I am looking at the account and the funds are always there. Also, was given 7 different stories on being able to receive some kind of refunds due to I was told it would take 3 business days to be given a answer if my car was going to be covered. I WILL NEVER use this service again.

Jordan ** was the crook salesman I worked with. Straight up lied to me about the coverage. Called 3 times (waited on hold for 30+ minutes each time before I even spoke to anybody) to get what we talked about updated on my coverage only to find out what Jordan promised me was not even possible per Sam **. Completely unethical company who will do anything to steal your money. Jordan ** also told me that there was no total claim dollar limit. Then found the dollar limit in the small print on the contract. Be very, very careful doing any sort of business with these guys and make sure you read your contract. They will sneak things in there and will screw you over later. Jordan ** will blatantly lie to you.

It’s very bad auto warranty company. Bad customer service. They declined claims they say due to the prior present condition. I called and cancel my account and then charge me more than $800 for canceling my account and then say, "For 5 to 7 days we’re gonna refund your money" and then now almost 2 weeks and then no money. Already found yet so this is American hell auto warranty should not exist in the United States. Stealing the money from the good people.

I was inquiring from other places. All of a sudden, I got an inquiry from American Dream Auto Protect so I called. One of the reasons I thought they're better than the other ones was because I had never seen an advertisement. So that means maybe they’re not spending as much money on advertising and more money on their clients.
The representative I worked with was fine and I had no problem at all. The only issue I have right now is that I haven't gotten my card and confirmation letter. I know I have it because they sent me an email. I had bought a couple different cars in the same time period and the one that I was trying to get coverage on, I gave the wrong mileage. So, I had to correct that because it was like 15,000 miles off and I wanted to make sure that they knew it.
Having extended coverage is important because it’s a car that my granddaughter drives. I’ve always purchased extended coverage for used cars I own, and I hope I never have to use it.

I said I wanted out of this agreement but I was told I had to call four different numbers, which I didn't like. I just wanted my questions answered honestly. Initial Claim on 12/8/2025. After dragging the claim for a week, they said they need an inspector. Inspector arrived 12/15/2025. Waited another week and after calling them twice Wednesday, 12/17/2025 then Friday 12/19/2025. I finally received my answer by email, not telling me on the phone that the claim was denied. I purchased a Platinum Plan within its listing that in print states the differential Assembly is part of the coverage. My shop diagnosed a bearing and seal failure of the front differential.
The Claim department sent me this. " After carefully reviewing your case, we regret to inform you that the front differential is not covered under the warranty due to long-term wear and tear." The Vehicle is a 2021 BMW X7 with less than 50,000 miles. So Buyer beware of the policy they are selling. Extremely unhappy and not satisfied. Dragging me along for two weeks with vehicle in shop sitting idle. In other reviews this is the same procedure! The only appealing thing of this company are the workers are polite and courteous. They get the 5 stars. Company does not! Total Breach of Contract. Not worth the $4775 I paid for coverage!!

Called on October 25th to cancel and get a refund. I never sent the check and keep giving me the runaround. This company is an absolute scam! They do not honor any claims and do not refund money. STAY AWAY!

American Dream Auto Protect reached out with a competitive offer for my Chevy Malibu.
Their customer service during the setup was pleasant and informative. I was primarily interested in a drivetrain warranty due to budget considerations, and they seemed knowledgeable about the options available.

Please don't take extended warranty with this company. American Dream Extended Warranty is a scam where they don't fulfill their obligation of repairing the vehicle and reject claims on various line item details that the customer is not aware of. One has to wait multiple months before they accept any claims. They always develop some reason to reject the claim. Please find a better extended warranty company to deal with. In my situation, I signed up for the policy on October 10, 2025. There is a 30 day waiting period. So the policy got started on November 10 when they had already collected my second month's premium. On November 21, my vehicle exhibited a MIL light so I took it to a mechanic and the mechanic filed a claim few days after. This company rejected the claim for repair by basically indicating that the vehicle had the issue before the policy was taken.
Can you imagine someone telling you that your vehicle had an issue months before you signed up for the extended warranty even though the vehicle had no MIL light and the vehicle was runnung just fine? Basically this company will come up reasons to deny the claim and not fix the problem on your vehicle in spite of the coverage you signed up for.

Do not get a policy with this company and beware of any clause in any contract that states “If there is a reasonable mechanical probability that the condition causing the failure existed prior to or at the time of purchase of your program—whether known or unknown at the time of purchase.“ They use this to deny any claim if you haven’t been paying them for years, at least. The more I dig around and talk with people, everyone that I have talked to have had the same experience.
I bought the policy and a couple months later, my truck had a vibration one morning, I was an hour away from home, so I stopped at the closest Dealership. I got a rental and the dealership contacted American Dream. It took three weeks for them to deny me, saying that I drove it, knowing it was bad, and added that exclusion I quoted above. There is a dealership right down the street from my house, but I chose to leave it where I was at. How did I continue to drive this thing? I think these kind of reviews should be in a central location and we should start blasting social media with how these predatory policies are enforced.

The customer service at this company is friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer all my questions. I called to cancel two policies that were not a good fit for me and they did it willingly.

I was getting my questions answered by the sales representatives, so I decided to go with American Dream. They basically matched my dealership’s price. The salesperson explained to me that it was bumper-to-bumper coverage on my car warranty extension. But, when the documents arrived, that was not the case. The lights, electronics, hoses, belts and things that I understand are consumables were not covered. That was not what was presented.
There was another aspect, where the policy would become active in 30 days. And while that was true, the policy documents state that it was 30 days plus a thousand miles on the vehicle. That takes me months to achieve. I'm traveling over the holidays, so it would have been sometime next year before I get my coverage.
I reached out to them and they did try to work with me on that. They did three things for me. First, they changed the waiting period from 30 day and 1,000 miles to 60 days and 500 miles. Second, I was worried about my headlights that steer by themselves. And they explained that they would still cover that, including the motors. Third, I found out while reading my documents that I was the only person on the policy even though there are two people on my title. So, if something happened to me, I'm not actually able to transfer it because it says I have to transfer it legally in order for the policy to continue on with my partner. They tried to assure me that as long as they are on the title, they are covered.
They also agreed to put my partner on the policy. It turns out there is a place in the policy where you can have two people named on that. So, that was helpful, because I called them to cancel due to all these misgivings. Also, when I started having questions, I got hung up on twice. The salesperson told me that they were giving me the direct number to talk to John, but I was never able to reach John again.
It has been four days and I'm still waiting to see my updated policy documents. I am still in limbo, and I may still cancel unless they can follow through on putting both people on it and changing the waiting period. In the meantime, I went out to my dealer and talked to them about MotoAssure. They deal with them all the time, and they assured me that when the repair comes in, we will be able to make a claim through the insurance company.
Then, I found that the vehicle does not leave until the repair is paid for, which is fine. But if the insurance company takes a while to pay them, then I'm out of pocket and the dealership would only reimburse me when the insurance company pays them. I trust the dealership to do that, but all of this was news to me.
American Dream also say I can choose my service shop. And while that is true, they do not necessarily have to agree with their hourly rates. The service manager at the Lincoln dealership warned me that they have run into policies where they are saying $100 an hour. So, when you are at $140 an hour, then you are on the hook for the $40 an hour.
They were offering me a good price. And then to keep me on board for the next few days for the evaluation period, they cut that $500. I really had to lean on them to get into this point, where I would consider staying. Overall, they need to drill down to find out what they are ultimately offering. I would really like to have a car warranty that I can believe in.

I picked American Dream Auto Protect for my used Jeep primarily because of the competitive pricing of their service contract. The sign-up process was straightforward and much easier compared to Endurance, which I initially considered but canceled due to its complexity.
The representative from American Dream Auto Protect explained the plan options clearly, leaving me satisfied with the information provided. Although I haven't had to use the coverage yet, the ease of the initial process gives me confidence in their service. While I remain neutral in my overall rating until I actually use the service, my initial experience has been positive.

I decided to try American Dream Auto Protect for my vehicle's coverage. The initial call with their representative was reassuring; he was knowledgeable and polite, which made me feel confident in their services. Unlike past experiences with other companies, there was no pressure or hard sell tactics, which I appreciated.
I'm new to their service, having just signed up after purchasing my Nissan Murano. The pricing seemed reasonable and within my budget, especially compared to previous offers that were too costly. Although I haven't had to use the coverage yet, the enrollment process was smooth and left a positive impression.

The way the presentations were presented to me by the young lady, Ms. **, it made me go with American Dream Auto Protect. She was very patient and listened to what I had to say. Getting everything set up wasn't difficult. The hardest part was just the decision-making. Pricing was competitive according to what each company offers. I was being called by competitors and everybody offered different packages, and they tried to muscle me. But what the young lady offered and explained to me, it spoke with confidence in the company. The confidence that what was being offered was good. And I was just looking for some people that stand behind their product, not one that uses you once and then throws you away.
I have my 2014 Lexus covered under the bumper-to-bumper Platinum plan. It's always good to have peace of mind especially for the vehicle parts. I have told people how awesome American Dream is, and I already got a couple of them coming in.

The representative from American Dream Auto Protect was very nice and clear about what she had to offer. We didn’t go over all the exclusions, as a matter fact I don’t remember discussing many that would have been a problem based on what I’d read or heard beforehand. The options were better than the other policies, protective care policies got my attention.
There were several options included that other dealers and contracts don’t offer. One specifically there’s an item called a fan belt tensioner. If there’s a transmission issue, most shops and dealership require you to pay to have it disassembled just to find out what the problem is. But the company says that they covered that expense as well. That was one of the most important things of the service contract that I ran across. That was impressive to me. They were also very clear on what they covered and what wasn’t and that was unique.
The signup process itself was very reasonable. We were able to break down a payment that fit my budget and that’s another factor. That was very different and beneficial. I'm going to recommend them to several other people that I know. It supersedes other auto protection policies that I have encountered over the last 25 years. It's a better option at a lower price.

I've overdriven the warranty mileage on my vehicle. Before my father passed, he lived in Virginia and we were trying to get him to come here to Maine. I put on all these miles driving back and forth from Maine to Virginia this last year. That's why I exceeded my three years, 36,000 miles. I called my GMC dealership and come to find out, they don't have their own warranty. They said, "Well, we'll have to shop it out." You have to buy it from them when you buy the vehicle, but their price was so high at the time I said, "I won't drive that many miles in this amount of time."
I inquired online and I was flooded with auto warranty companies. I started talking to each one and American Dream Auto had the best policy and the most polite people to talk to. They were not pushy.

I’ve had my Cadillac for many years and the warranty covered it up to 100,000 miles, but it now has about 138,000 miles. Since we plan to keep the car for another two to three years, I started looking into extended warranty options. I wanted coverage in case something else goes wrong, especially while I’m paying off my truck and my son’s car. I went online and filled out a short survey for an extended warranty, and American Dream Auto Protect was the company that contacted me. The rate seemed decent, so I decided to go with it. I didn’t know much about the company, but I figured I’d give it a shot and hope they’re reputable. Original Review: Absolutely the WORST company on the planet. I currently have a Suburban in the shop. It has been in the shop for 3 weeks. Every time I call, I get the runaround. I took it to the dealer to get fixed. The transfer case has a fist size hole. They waited on it for 2 weeks just to say they need a 3rd party inspector just to see a hole. Now it is week 3 and still NO inspector. I will have rental they are NOT going to pay for. I am at their mercy while my Suburban is 175 miles away.

I have filed a claim 11/27 to have my truck repaired. I have called numerous times. I have sent an email. My technician, Casey Chevrolet, has also sent an email. We have not gotten any response via email nor have I received a phone call back regarding the status of my claim. I called daily. I am told daily that I will receive an email by the end of business each day that I call. I have not received a phone call since I have called Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is like all the agents are programmed to say the same thing. They placed me on hold and then they say you will receive a email by the end of business today. I just want my car repaired. I am paying for an Uber daily to and from work. My technician is ready to start the repairs. He has been professional with his email and we have not received the email response back since either of our emails.

That is not wear and tear...Do not use this company. They're horrible and it cost me a lot of money,, I had to rent a car that they did not cover because they denied the claim. HORRIBLE.

Do your research before you call any sort of warranty company because they are high-pressure salesmen. When I got American Dream Auto Protect, there was so much pressure. I kept explaining to them what happened with my previous provider. They said, “If you don't do it today, you don't get the deal. We'll get you down to $100 a month for life.” I don't know what this covers. I don't know if my transmission is gonna go out in a week. They said, "We're not covering that. It was preexisting.” There were many questions I had unanswered. There was pressure into purchasing the policy. They said, “You can have this. A packet would come in the mail”. I never got it. I set it up, and I blocked my card. But my credit card still pushed the payment through. I ended up blocking my credit card.
It was my understanding it was ongoing coverage. So, I didn't understand the breakdown. The rep said that I could call up later and do a cash buyout and pay cash for it. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't great. I've been reluctant anyway, because I bought a warranty on my daughter's car. Three days later, the transmission went out on her car when we brought it home. They weren't willing to cover it, nor was the dealership. I had to prepare a legal and sic my boss on them before they would cover it.

Then I get a declined email saying bs like a home warranty, some preexisting bs we can't cover it, problem was there before. I be purchased this policy after extensive questioning in regards to what they cover and what they don’t. Had a very lengthy conversation in regards to seals and gaskets and valve covers and turbo as well as other engine components. Was told that with the platinum coverage it is all covered. I have had this policy for 5 months and the check engine light came on and so I took it to the dealership and then the inspector came out and then it took this company over 10 days to come back with a decision after being told daily, "Oh you will have an answer by end of day" to no answer. Then when I finally got my answer they turned the whole entire claim down. DENIED. What in the hell did I spend three hours on the phone for to begin with then. This company is a rip off.

Being a new customer, I haven’t had the need of submitting any claims yet and hopefully I won’t but it’s sure nice to know your Covid. All I can say is the coverage sounds very comprehensive and is what anyone would be looking for. I previously use a different company and had a major claim and they only cover about 2/3 of it claiming they use a national average. Well, that’s not very helpful when you’re an inexpensive area of the country and a very low cost area of the country is what they’re basing the coverage on. I was told specifically this company does not do that. Pay the claim in full if you cover the deductible. The people are dealt with an American Dream were always very respectful and nice and helpful. I really believe this one is the true answer and not some half fraud.

This company pays for nothing! Nothing electrical. Managers actually hung up on my dealer. The information they give you about the policy is useless. I had to go 50 miles away to another dealer to try and get my air conditioner fixed because my dealer refused to have any more to do with them. Then they refused to fix my air conditioning compressor. In my opinion run don’t walk away from this company. They are crooks.

I have had this worthless policy since June 18th of this year. After more than a month later, my car broke down. I've had my car for over 2 years with absolutely NO issues. I took it to a local shop to have it fixed. They filed a claim to only be told that it wasn't approved due to pre existing conditions!! There HAS NOT been any issues with the car before this breakdown.
I have repeatedly called and sent emails to the so called Claims Department. Only to be hung up on and emails gone unanswered!! Spoken to very rudely and told that I have no clue as to what I am talking about. I have asked for your company to send someone out who actually knows what they are doing to look at the car and to have the claim approved. So I can have my car fixed. I am disabled and need the car to go to Doctors appointments and other appointments I need, so I don't have to rely on friends to get me there. I feel that I am being RIPPED OFF!! Please help me and STOP IGNORING MY MESSAGES!!

When they sell you this product they tell you it covers all of these different things. I asked about specific items if it was covered. I was told yes but when it comes down to it they are they are not covered. Summary:
My claim for an "Alternator" was unjustifiably denied; the decision was later reaffirmed by a rude supervisor who implored me to cancel my policy.
Details:
1. My vehicle died/ wouldn't start;2. I received a jumpstart;
3. Drove directly to the nearest ASE certified service center- Younger Toyota
4. Diagnostics performed by Younger Toyota determined that the alternator was bad.5. Younger Toyota Diagnostics revealed no damage to any additional electrical components, accessories etc related to the Alternator.
6. Claim submitted by Younger Toyota was denied for: O) Repairs needed in whole or in part due to failure to stop driving immediately to protect your vehicle from further damage after evidence of a breakdown appears (e.g., warning light, smoke, abnormal noises).
7. The explanation for denial is unrelated to the primary issue which was the alternator and "no additional damage was caused by my driving to service center per Younger Toyota.8. Request to speak with a supervisor.
9. The Supervisor explained to me that I caused the failure to the alternator and in a rude and unprofessional manner transferred me to the cancelation dept. because I was in disbelief. She explained that my driving

I ask for clarity on how to USE SERVICE. * if getting a jump to get to the nearest service center is a disqualification, no one can or has explained to me what should I have done to ensure this claim was accepted. - no one provided transparency which led.to the cancelation of the policy.11. C Merritt - service rep for Younger Toyota said " in her 8 +years, as a service Rep she has NEVER seen an Alternator denied by an extended warranty company. NEVER.
12. Disappointing, I feel robbed and scammed because of my expectations to accept the claim ; and using bogus explanations to justify denials. UNACCEPTABLE.

Instead of American Dream your company should be American Nightmare. I bought a warranty to cover 2016 Honda CRV and they claim after an engine failure that the it was pre-existing and they did not pay one nickel. I paid a lot of money. Even though I did get some of my money back in a refund but I would not recommend this company to anyone. They talk up a good game when they sell it to you but they turn their back as soon as you need something. I could keep on going but I believe that covers everything. I could talk about all day about this company and how crappy I was treated. If I could give zero Stars I would or even negative if possible.

American Dream is NOT the choice a person should make if they're looking for a company who stands behind what they advertise. They treated me like dirt. “Existing conditions" was the term they used for denying my claim. I bought a used truck. 60 days afterwards “they” came up with a term to keep from fixing my transmission.

Horrible experience x2!! I believe this company is a scam and definitely a ripoff. I paid them in full for the top coverage. First instant was directly with Tesla. It took them a long time to get back with us after several weeks, they denied the claim stating that they could only pay Tesla direct with a credit card. (I have the records). 2nd claim, I went to an authorized dealership to get another issue fixed and they informed the shop that it was due to fair wear and tear issues and it couldn’t be covered. Craziest thing I ever heard! Anyways, I had to get legal involved in my case.

Do Not use this company. Big Scam! Told me I was covered and then wouldn't cover what was needed to get my car safely on the road. They waited a week to tell my mechanic they would only replace the tube not the broken fuel part. Never reimbursed me for all my rental cars. Stay far far far away.

I canceled my coverage and they kept charging me. I called multiple times and received email confirmation of my policy being canceled. They would not cancel my policy until I called my bank to dispute the charges. Steer clear of them.

This company does everything they can to get out of paying claims. One of the parts listed on my contract still wasn’t covered because they deemed it a “preexisting condition.” I ended up having to pay $3895 for my vehicle to be fixed. Complete fraud.

We joined American Dream Auto Protection to cover our 2014 Buick. After several months we encountered a problem with the front axle of our front wheel drive. Our policy stated the that was covered, they advised our repair shop and we had the problem fixed. Several days later I got a message that our claim was denied. When we called to inquire, they said, said something about a “CV“ axle is not covered. Obviously, the wording of what they cover is very deceptive. How would a normal person who sees that their axles are covered Understand that a “CV axle is not covered". When we called, they could not even tell me what the difference is and why it was not covered. Obviously a lesson learned on our part as we will inquire from another company exactly what is covered before we purchase an extended warranty plan. Very disappointing indeed.

When I called Customer Service my call was answered by agent Brandon. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and helpful and I had a quick resolution due to his efforts. My phone conversation with ADAP was informative, complete, but and then Rewarding. I was assisted by a well versed gentleman and his superior. If you get a call from ADAP, fake the call if not the look them up on the internet and call them. Dang good product for an extended coverage on your new or used vehicle.

I liked the competitive pricing American Dream offered for my car warranty, which was more favorable compared to other companies like Endurance. The initial discussion with their rep, Paul, seemed promising and straightforward. He explained that the warranty would operate like any other standard automotive warranty, covering my 2014 Camaro, which might run into issues needing coverage.
However, despite the assurances given during the sign-up process, my experience since has been less than satisfactory. After sending the required documents, including my odometer reading, I never heard back from them. It has been about a month, and I have yet to receive a confirmation email or any follow-up communication, including the promised welcome package with policy details. This lapse has left me under the impression that I'm not actually insured with them.
Although I chose them expecting efficient service and clear communication based on their initial pitch, the absence of follow-through has been disappointing.

What I don't like is they’ve already taken the money out but there’s still a 30-day wait before I can use it. But I need it for my car, and it’s lot cheaper than not having a warranty at all.

I found one representative to be lacking in knowledge, while another was quite well-informed. However, my main concern has been with not receiving a physical copy of my policy despite requesting it multiple times, even though I did receive the necessary details via email.

Please go elsewhere, do not get them. Too many loops, twists and turns for a claim. Save yourself the stress. The rental is a joke, you can’t realistic get something with that little amount and after them reviewed (2 business days) then send an inspector. A month or so later.

Poor Communication! Poor Communication! 1-John mentioned I could contact him on a personal phone number for questions. I called that number and got George instead! 2-John did not tell me over the phone that I will have to pay a 100.00 deductible. I discovered it in an email after the fact! 3-John also did not tell me that the warranty would expire at 40,000 miles or 4 years which ever comes first! I also found that information on an email after the fact! Three strikes you're out!

One question I asked was when I make a payment if I need a repair I won't pay anything out of my pocket right, the man said right, well I found there's a $100 deductible. And also if you go past the trial date and cancel, you have to pay $100 for canceling. Not happy about either one really. This needs to be told upfront as far as I'm concerned.
