Loving some CarShield. I have not yet made a service request but they have been great getting me all set up and I love that this a services they offer and the fact that you only have to spend 100.00 in any service. I only pay 109.00 a month and car rental and roadside assistance.

I had a problem with my wipers not turning off. Repair shop called Car Shield to see if it was covered. Car shield would not cover it. They'll cover the wiper motor but not the computer module that makes them function. There was also a wire that needed attention, again they wouldn't cover it. Because they wouldn't cover the repairs they wouldn't allow the rental car. I was without a car for almost a week and the bill came to $1000.00. I was not sent anything stating what was covered and what was not! I will be cancelling my contract with them.

Throttle Body malfunction. My experience with customer service was great, they guided me thru. The only draw back is the items that will be covered by the warranty. I would appreciate if you could send a copy of what is covered, they also assisted me on how to recover the cost for a tow.

I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT TIME LIMITS FOR SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS FOR RENTAL CAR REIMBURSEMENT. The agent was helpful and understanding. I also asked about the claim number. She was able to retrieve that claim number for me. I then submitted my claim.

Satisfied with result of my interaction with staff. Found staff to be helpful. Also explained to staff of recent retirement and was contemplating ending coverage. Asked rep if I could have a lesser price and she was able to lower the monthly payment.

I bought a contract on 3/14/2020 for my caddie. The salesperson Damion M was very helpful in getting all the info I needed. Then a couple of days later Lost our job and are selling the vehicle. Called Cust Serv. Talked Douglas great representative and told him I had to cancel the contract and needed by refund until I buy another car. I will certainly call Carshield and purchase another contract.

The young lady had exceptionable knowledge/experiences when responding to customer.. She was very professional when explaining information; I enjoyed our conversation. Provided time for feedback questions, I was never rushed during our discussion.. Always took time to explain in details information related to confirmation of coverage.information. Got the job done. I called and they gave me all my questions answered. Completely satisfied. I even received a call back. Best investment ever. I recommend this to all my friends and family. I even bragged about Carshield on my Facebook page. I think all car dealerships should offer this coverage and I think it should be at least a flyer to offer consumers. At least send out mail offerings. a lot of people dont even know.

Have spoken with four of your reps. Still no contract by email or regular. I hope this is not how your company does business. I searched to find what I thought was the best coverage. So far you have failed. A email could save a cust; and not another survey.

The Salesman is happy to tell you that the service is covered in the contract... That is until you have a problem... then the service is NOT covered when it specifically written in BLACK and WHITE on your contract! Don't get fooled. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CAR SHIELD. Car Shield got $300 from me... I got NOTHING in return!

I purchase a 2012 Chevy Malibu in November and immediately got a warranty on it. I was paying $129 a month and when it's time for a claim they denied me and drop me. My damage is extensive and they're loophole because that's no other way to say it was that the title was at some point who knows when not when I bought the car - it is a salvage title. At the time of me purchasing this warranty they never mentioned it. They just take your money and take your money and then when you file a claim.. they say, "Oh by the way you have a salvage title" which I didn't know anything about because my title is clean.
So why would I think that's an issue. I wouldn't. Knowing damn well that if it comes out a salvage title they're never going to pay your claim ever. God help you if you paid for this warranty and 5 years down the road you need a claim. They're not going to repair your vehicle and have stolen all of your money for the last five years Knowing damn well they're not going to fix your car. It's fraud. It should be illegal and I'm not going to stop till I lawyer up. They should offer me a refund based on the fact that they weren't going to pay the claim based on the fact that the title was a salvage title. Whenever that was it was not in my possession. It wasn't. How does that not entitle me to a refund? They're crooks.

I am a 68 year old senior living on a monthly retirement check for now, so small monthly payments are currently the best alternative - later because I am working on other projects to improve my finances - I may prefer higher payments for 2 years then 0 payments for 3 years. My experience was, "Revealing".... I have had several conversations with representatives... all of which have told me or explained, to me, different versions, of what they understood my contract for service... to be. Many times I was informed that I needed to have a minimum of 500 miles and a certain amount of days, both... not either. I have finally been informed that based on my contract, I am currently allowed to take my car to the service center.... I gave both Lea and Nakeisha Excellent Ratings, because they both inevitably gave me the answer I have been arguing, very politely to hear. BOth of these young ladies were thorough and what I'm hoping to be... Concise.? Now... If these surveys are of any true concern to Carshield. Then I would Very Much like a Supervisor to contact me and Discuss my Situation, in hopes, that this will never happen to another client or customer of Carshield.!

Cancelation as of now, uncontrolled circumstances. My experience was a very good one, in having my current situation taking care of, with my best interest in hand. I could not have signed up with a better company. Their loyalty and commitment in helping their customers is of high standings, and that's very good in nowadays society of finding reputable businesses. Mechanical/electrical system. I will be glad to tell you my and Mercedes will tell you the rest. I followed the preliminary guidelines. I was told that I was covered. Hendrick Mercedes was told that I had no coverage. I called CarShield, again, all systems are go. I told that to Mercedes. They re-contacted Car Shield. After 50 minutes on hold. They hung up. This happened to Hendrick Mercedes 2 times. I called Car shield, again was told that the repair was approved and repair was going to be honored. All systems were go. They would give me the number. "Please stay on the line." I waited and hung up after an hour. I paid Mercedes. I have tried to reach Car Shield 2 times more to either refund my premiums or pay Mercedes. They have done neither. I think it is a total scam.

Part needed was engine fan that's part of two fans on the radiator which is not covered. What I would like if that was possible even if the part isn't covered if they could look the part up or located coz that was my problem getting the part for the car what you still at the shop for 2 days now.

Your customer service was great. They did everything I asked them to do. The first young man was not great, but the other people were great. The first young man needs more training. My only complaint was they wanted me to tell them why I did not want your service. I told them I did not want to tell them and I didn't have to give them a reason.

So this morning I gave CarShield a call to cancel my policy after a few weeks with them. After reading countless hours of good and bad reviews I decided to go ahead and cancel. Spoke with Heather and as soon as I said I wanted to cancel. Oh man, Heather got defensive and agitated right away because I didn’t want to give her an explanation of why. Why does Heather think I have to give an explanation to her of why I don’t want to keep pumping my cash into this company? Beats me! Anyways she finally said my policy was cancel blah blah and my money will be refunded in 3 days and bam hung up on me. Lol ???? STAY AWAY. I’d rather drop the bag if and when my car breaks down. Oh yeah, I knew this agitation and defense mechanism was coming after reading those reviews..

My husband wanted to add warranty to his truck. Tamesha answered our call and was very helpful for us. When asked about a contract being sent, she advised the original car contract was emailed twice to us. When I checked my emails and found it the print contract area would not allow me to open up the contract to view. I called customer service and was told they would mail the contract to me. My car would not start at all. The CarShield representative offered to have a tow truck tow my car to a mechanic. When I ask for a jump start instead, she contacted a provider who jumped my car and I was on my way to run my errands. They provided wonderful customer service. I have been dealing with difficult Allstate Roadside Service previously. It is nice to talk to an American representative instead of a foreign representatives who do not understand West Texan accent.

I ordered coverage for my 7-year-old Subaru, but later found my husband had made a different arrangement without telling me. My recurring payment was declined due to a lost card. I received another one and forgot to let Car Shield know, thus the phone call from them. I have the Diamond package on my 2011 Ford Ranger. I have not had to use the services as of today, but am confident that Car Shield will take care of any problems I may have on my Ford Ranger.

After calling for info and battling that "hard sell" sales pitch unsuccessfully, my husband purchased CarShield. He then started reading his contract. How can a person with a used car have documentation of every work performed? Really? Every receipt from every oil change, should something go wrong with that system? The truck had sixty thousand miles on it when he bought it. So explain that to me, how we could have such documentation. It reads you will only cover problems if one has PROOF the problem spot has been perfectly serviced and maintained. What used car owner can show that? Luckily, I married a man smart enough to CANCEL BEFORE 30 DAYS. Thanks, at least, for that option. I wonder if there is an honest extended warranty out there....

I experienced no difficulty in contacting the agent on more than one occasion. Many online companies have a different agent each time one calls. Did not have to be put on a waiting list. The product offered was practical and economical enough to have good value for one 90 years of age, which is my age.

I never really thought I would benefit from my Carshield coverage, my vehicle is in mint condition and I take good care of it. In fact, I considered dropping the coverage. But then the Radio/Uconnect system went bad on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and an engine trouble light went on. I took my vehicle to the dealership and they informed me the Uconnect radio needed replacement and an oil sensor went bad and also needed a replacement for a total cost of over $1550. Because of the cost of the repair, Carshield had an inspector look at the vehicle. I guess they got a small discount and ultimately paid $1300 for the repair. My only complaint is, that, according to the dealer, the failure of the Uconnect system also caused the battery to short out and that was not covered. So I had to pay $300 for a new battery plus my $100 deductible for a total of $400. Still better than the $1850 I would have had to pay without Carshield.

We sold vehicle that was covered. The communication and effort add Car Shield is impeccable. It's obvious they care about their relationship with customers. The dealership had difficulty reaching the claim department then after being told I was covered I still had to pay out of pocket. I pay monthly to be covered and still have to pay out of pocket. Make me ask myself why am I paying for service I'm not receiving.

It appears there was a dispute with the labor the repair facility charged. We use the same labor guide as your repair facility but they included reprogramming as extra labor hours and overcharged for it. Unfortunately, that left you paying the difference.

Not thrilled about the coverage I have received. When I took my car in for repairs, I was told that my Gold package did not cover anything to do with "Compression" issues. That's in the drive train, how can it not be covered?

Having CarShield saved me $4,000 in auto repairs in 7 months. The only thing that I’m bummed about is that I never got a rental car as it was advertised and stated in the contract. While the shop was waiting for parts for my vehicle, getting a rental was impossible!!

I had two claims with CarShield and both were satisfactory. My car dealer called in the claim and issued the service; I paid the $100 per claim fee to the dealer and all was satisfactory. My monthly fee was $79 for my 2005 Toyota Prius and all was good!

The CSR was extremely nice and helpful and probably the only reason I decided to purchase warranty. I received an email, that had extremely deceitful pricing, not sure that it is not false advertising! The actual pricing was about 3 times what was in the email!

Recently I had my truck taken King Ford, Valley, Alabama for repairs... The truck would not start due to the fact that the fuel pump was not functioning properly. That caused me to burn up my starter which had to be replaced before any diagnostics could be performed on said vehicle. Car Shield would not pay for the starter. Also there was another problem and I called Denny at Car shield and was told they would pay for that repair, but did not pay for part or labor. Car Shield did pay for the fuel pump and I thank them for that. I feel that your advertising is very misleading as it says "never pay for a repair bill again!" I am not happy!!!!

I got CarShield about three months ago for my 2008 F250 In case something else happen. Well I ended up with an oil leak. Took it Ford dealership and car shield will not cover and then they dropped me.

The oil leak you experienced was from a part not covered under your policy so we could not help with that. The contract was voided because of the modifications to your truck. It was determined that there was no EGR cooler and at some point it was removed. Per the contract, any modifications should be mentioned to us.

I’ve noticed an oil leak from my car and immediately took it to local dealership and my service advisor took care of the rest dealing with CarShield claim department. Once they’ve diagnosed where the leak is coming from the service advisor called me and told me that CarShield approved the work needs to be done without any hassles. I was just calling for basic information. The representatives was very helpful and very courteous. I wanted to know which plans I have and what all they both covered. I have coverage on both my vehicles. I would recommend CarShield to all of my family and friends. It is wonderful knowing you have coverage when you need it. So far the representatives at Carshield have very good at answering all my questions. The plan seems to be too good to be true. I have not needed any repairs so I can not comment on that subject. But comparing carshield to other programs I have had it seems to be amazing. My other plans I paid anywhere from $5000 to $7000 dollars and they expired in about 5 years. One did replace a transmission but I had paid more than that into the plan. I was refused by one of them to replace a water pump that they said was ok but it wasnt and I had to replace it at my own expense. I hope carshield is all they say they are because it is a great peace of mind knowing I am covered. I hope I dont need to use it but if I do then we will find out! By my experience with other companies I highly recommend carshield.

Car Shield is a much better extended warranty on a used car than a car dealership, a car dealership will charge 2500.00 dollars for only 12 thousand miles, so 99.99 a month is a good deal, I don't even drive 2 thousand miles a year, my car is in very good condition, I've done the routine maintenance on my car already, so if anything happens like your advertising says and it will, well Car Shield is there for me, so it's peace of mind knowing I have this extra insurance on my car.

My first order only paid about 50% for the work! This time they covered none of the work so I had to pay $3,300 out of pocket. It is very frustrating. You call them and they say they will cover and then the garage calls and they don’t.

Carshield / American Auto Shield is a scam and RIP OFF company. Just the fact they use two names should say it all. If you have a Warranty with them cancel and save your money they will never pay. Have a 2010 GMC Acadia for 5 years with a Carmax warranty. They covered all repairs needed to the car over 5 years no questions asked. The Carmax warranty was to expire. Bought a Carshield warranty three months before it expired as we wanted to have coverage.
After about 8 months with no repairs the timing chains went on the car. Due to the engine and issues with the GMC Acadia motors the chains caused damage to cams and valves. Repair shop filed claim with Carshield / American Auto Shield. They make the repair shop remove my engine and strip it down for what they claim is an inspection all at my expense. The inspector comes 5 days later. Says will need a new engine and files the report that damage is cause of timing chains and engine needs replaced.
After two weeks and many calls to Carshield to find out what is going on am told they will not honor what their own inspector reported and will not the replace engine. Instead they have tried to use service records which are perfectly maintained from GMC dealers. Asked the repair shop if was used for commercial use, what does the car look like all in an attempt to find a reason to not pay. While on the phone with adjuster told they authorized the repair, then put on hold for 40 mins (while they find some other reason not to cover my engine) only to be told they will only pay for the timing chains. All other damage I will have to pay. So much for a trustworthy company doing what is contracted.
Now Carshield will only pay for replacing timing chains in a damaged engine, that may last 6 months. In addition Carshield has stated they will not cover any more repairs to my engine unless all the damage is repaired at my Expense. NOW I sit with a car with no engine that will cost me $8000, to $10,000 of dollars to repair. The repair shop as fought over and over with them to do what their inspector agreed was the needed repair. You would think a company that advertises on National TV Radio with big name Host and Stars would not be such a SCAM.
Cancel your warranty OR NEVER buy from them. Your money will be better spent as toilet paper as any warranty from Carshield or American Auto shield. This is a real shame as had Carshield been even half what Carmax warranty was I would have placed a warranty on my sons car. As well as recommended them to family and friends. NOW I know what a SCAM company they are. STRONGLY advise NEVER buy from this company.

Do not waste your money. The average cost per month is between $250 & $400. In a year that is $3000 to $4800. That cost does not even coverage any deductibles. Most months you will not even need repairs. Put that money towards a down payment on a better/newer car instead.

Pickup was diagnosed with Injection Pump failure and possibly Lift Pump failure. It took two hours to diagnose the problems and you will only pay for one hour. Not good. You will not pay for for the lift pump which shop thinks should be replaced. I feel like you are leaving me with a possible lift pump problem later which should be changed now. Also, approval has been taken way too long. Truck has been in the shop for two weeks.

Of course this rating is base on customer service. I have yet to use the vehicle warranty plan and hope I never have too but I also realize that is inevitable and I will eventually use it one day. In reference to my experience with customer service. I have spoken to at least four customer service agents now and every one of them have been friendly and very professionally. I spoke to one agent and was given a quote and she worked with me on a price that suited me fine. The call that we were on dropped and thought that was it and would have to start the process over again but she returned my call. When she couldn’t reach me she courteously left a message.
When I was finally able to call back, the information from the quote that she presented me was still in the system based on our conversation so I decided to purchased the warranty plan for my vehicle. I am pleased to be a Car Shield member and if their vehicle warranty service is anything like the customer care service then I will certainly be around with them for a long time to come. I even have family members and friends who have warranty plans with them and also speak highly of your company so thank you Car Shield serving us.

When I signed up for Car Shield I believed it was a good option for me. I was happy for the warranty they provided. Never missed a payment. Unfortunately, my car was totalled and I needed to cancel. They told me it would take 7 to 10 business days to refund. Once the 10 day mark came I called and they said they had to review my payment and then it would take 20 days to receive my refund. I wish the first time I called to cancel the manager would have made it clear how the process works.

Non coverage of OEM parts sucks. Shouldn't have to go over a bunch of disallowed parts after taking to dealer. Thought I paid too much for coverage that just wasn't worth the cost. Extremely disappointed with this entire endeavor.

I was not happy with Carshied regarding my first monthly bill. I was told that my monthly payments will be $79 for each vehicle but when I checked my bank account Carshield had debit it out $89 for one vehicle and $99 for the second vehicle. When I call about this concern I was told that the payment had already been processed. I told the discounted price was not given to me till after they had processed the payment which I could not understand why they still could not reimburse me the overpayment. I figure whatever you discounted monthly payment should be that's what should have been debited out of my account and then give me the explanation that I cannot be reimbursed for the excess amount and it was my bank's decision.
I just don't understand that because my bank only took it out because Carshield submitted to them and it should be Carshield who should reimburse me the excess monthly payment you quoted me $79 for each vehicle. I was told that I got the discount because of some financial issues I was having. Well if that is the case why would you debit more out of my account then what I can afford and then will not give me back the overage. One vehicle they took out $89 when it should have been $79. The other vehicle they took out $99 when it should have been $79. Why can't I get the difference back so no I didn't understand why there was an issue. All of this occurred within hours each other. I just want Carshield to be fair and give better customer service. I checked the BBB reviews and they weren't that good but I was hoping they weren't true.

I have your account up and on 2/19 is when you signed up with us and at the time, you agreed to $99 per month and it got processed. Then shortly afterwards, you added a second car to your account. That lowered the monthly price to $89 for both. So we ran $89 for the 2nd car. Then about 30 min after that you wanted to cancel but both payments had already run. It was at this time we knocked both monthly payments down to $79 to help you out.
So both payments had already been processed prior to us settling on $79 per month. Going forward, both cars are at $79. We do apologize for any confusion regarding this and request you contact us with any questions you may have.

Absolute scam!!! I would not recommend this company or product to anyone ever. Will definitely tell other to steer clear of you all together. I purchased an older vehicle and checked with you to see if it could still be covered. I was assured that it would be. That my transmission, engine, and drive train all were covered if they needed repair or replacement. I double checked with the person to make sure before I accepted the contract and started paying.
3 months later my transmission has gone out, and I am being told that it will not be covered because of some fine print in the contract. Now when I was sold this product I asked over and over what wouldnt be covered, and again I was reassured that all of it would be covered as long as I made payment and kept contract current. Turns out that is not the case and I am stuck with a non running vehicle and out 4 months of payments to your company. I will be sure to let everyone know exactly what kind of business you are running and how your selling techniques are very misleading and inaccurate.

Haven't been a customer but for a few weeks. So far everything we talked about been positive. Keep it up and going. Ain't got nothing else to talk about. Only had one policy as of this date. Just got both policies on Email.

Last year Carshield paid $4,000 to fix my transmission. This year they paid in full to repair my engine. I’m a limo driver. I put a lot of mileages in my car. Carshield got my back. Now I’m worry free from big car bill repair.

More than satisfied with coverage. People from Car Shield kept me informed all the way on getting my vehicle repaired. The savings on the repairs and the no hassle assistance in getting the repair done was impressive. I would recommend this program to anyone I know. The service by the Car Shield people was 110% better than what I was receiving from the Dealership where I purchased the vehicle.

All representatives were very friendly and helpful. The welcome letter and contract instilled confidence that payments and services/repairs would be handled fairly and quickly. I assumed this insurance would cover more regular repairs instead of just major items. As a catastrophic policy it is fine and fairly-priced, but not what I currently need, as my car has been very well maintained. Cancellation was quick and easy.

2001 Chevy Blazer. I did not get the coverage that I was told I was signing up for. I was told I would be getting the platinum on both. The salesperson said he was able to do it. Now I called in about a claim. I am told I do not have the platinum coverage on the Blazer. I am not too Happy. I am not very happy with my first experience with Carshield. I did not get the coverage I thought I was paying for. I never got a written contract on my coverages like I asked for. Why not?

I see you have 2 policies with us and we'd like to clear up confusion regarding this. Your Blazer did not qualify for the platinum plan, however your Lincoln Town Car did. I have listened to your call discussing the Blazer and our rep only mentioned one plan it qualifies for which is the Powertrain Gold Plan. Finally, I do see we emailed the contract over the day you signed up, mailed the contract out on 12/2, emailed it over again on 12/2, and mailed it out again on 2/20. We do apologize if you never received the policy but we have tried multiple times to get this to you. We do hope to keep your business and please contact us with any questions you may have.

Contract number provided. The person I spoke with provided me with the info I needed in kind, friendly manner. We as Americans need more civility to each other, he is a example of how we used to treat each other! At times friendly small talk can mean a lot to a stranger.

Great experience. I would recommend this company to all my family and friends and anyone who asked me about my experience I will tell them that it was great. Also I will skip the code when doing research about the company. But I found out that everything that I thought it would be it was and everything above and beyond including service and explanation of everything in detail was great.

Cancellation. Was not really happy with the wording in contract. It was kind of a catch 22 to me. I could be wrong though. Maybe later on if they reword the contract I might be back. The coverage was excellent. Seemed like it was good coverage.

The representative I spoke with was very courteous and informative. Looking forward to doing business with you in the future. I am looking forward to receiving the contract in the mail so I can understand my coverage. It is reassuring to know I have coverage even if I don't need it now. I feel the coverage is worth it because I like my Chrysler 200 and the price of new cars is just too much for a retired person.

Easy process to purchase extended warranty. Very professional representative who answered all my questions and most helpful. Highly recommend CarShield for your extended warranty needs. Very affordable as well. No high pressure tactics and had my contract instantly via email.

I purchased the Gold plan from CarShield which covers the drive train. I pull a 40ft fifth wheel camper and figured it was a good idea. While 1450 mile from home the pinion bearing go out.. Carshield says, "No problem you're covered." Little did I know they are the good cop. American Auto Shield is the bad cop. The plot is they get you to have it tore down so you are stuck with no choice. They send an inspector to look at it. They not only look at it, they look at everything to find any loopholes so they can deny a claim. Which is what they did to me.
They sent an inspector to look at it. I was DOA when he got there. They claim everything was rusted. Let me tell you I was on South Padre Island and if you know anything about this area there is SALT IN THE AIR EVERYWHERE. Claimed all parts were rusted. Wow what a brilliant deduction. Truck sat opened up per their request. After 5 days till their picture taken got there what do you think happened. RUST. After many phone calls American auto shield said claim is denied. So after 2 hours of more phone time. Their master mechanic said he wouldn't have their policy... Wow that really says a lot about the class company he works for. By the way his name was Jeff. My advice to everyone is Save your money. Because if their mechanics don't believe in them, why should the public. We are not done here by a longshot.

Sorry to hear about your claim. We've paid out over $1 billion on covered repairs so we can help out if the repair you need is covered. However, in this case, it was determined by the administrator that outside influences caused failure to the pinions. They found chew marks in the vent line hose. Perhaps this could be an insurance claim if an animal got in there and caused damage.

I ordered a jump start and it took 5 hours. This is unacceptable! It was a good thing I wasn't sitting on the side of the road or in a parking lot after dark, which it was after dark. The serviceman was very pleasant and kind, however, extremely busy over an hour away. You need to add more assistance in my area.
