I don't appreciate you keep sending me surveys. I took my car in last week to get radiator work done costing me $700, which you guys denied, 2nd time you denied me. This would have prevented the radiator going out and worse. Not only that but I called before I took it in and got it denied. I got 4 surveys on that one call, 3 after my service was denied.... I've paid you guys $672 since I started this ($168 a month), that may seem cheap to you, but it's not, and then I see your commercials all over the dang tv. Please tell me that you have actually helped people because I haven't seen it.... I'm about to cancel it.

You have one placed one claim with us and the part needed for that repair is not listed for coverage per your contract. Your monthly bill has been $129 since you started in January as well. Excellent. I had to ask for an effective date delay until October 9, 2020. No changes, leave money paid, just make the effective date in Oct. Could not do it but you suggested canceling the contract, returning my money and setting up reinstatement for Oct. 9, 2020. Your help and cooperation was excellent. See you in October.

It was a good conversation with the rep that called the dealer since I took my car to the shop. I was only called by mistake. The CSR that called did not provide much info to me on why I was called, but my car shop was able to discuss with me when I called them for something else.

I needed coverage information on brake work being done on my 2011 Dodge Journey, the first representative didn't go into any details but told me incorrect information. When I put my repair man on the line the second time I called because he had questions, the information was corrected.

We had a very good experience when we had a claim submitted at CarShield and the reimbursement came in a few short weeks. We can’t imagine not having CarShield as a peace of mind if and when anything should happen to our Cadillac!

I called to find out if my car needs repairs d/t accident is car rental included. I am doing everything I can to save money without sacrificing needed items on my vehicle insurance. Did not get the answer I wanted but it made sense along with roadside assistance.

The dealership told me I had a minor crack in my radiator. I loved CarShield's claim process. They responded pretty quickly. I was surprised. The only thing that kind of upset me, because I'm a car enthusiast, was the fact that when they called the dealership, the first lady that called was trying to talk them into wanting to use used parts on my car. I'm like, "Yeah, no. I'm sorry." My car is one out of seven cars, and it's a show car. I use nothing but brand new parts because I'm not using a used part that's gonna break down two years from now. Also, it's not like we've been given this warranty. We're paying good money for it. Other than that, I have had five people that I've told in my car club that have gone to the company.

I was at Tuffys to get my car serviced. When the guy told me the diagnostic would cost $99 I told him I would call to see if that would be covered by Carshield. If not I would not get the service done there. I called. The representative said, "Yes we pay for that" so I left my suv there. I got a call telling me that I owed the $99 because carshield would not be covering the charge because there were no covered problems with the vehicle. If I had been told that, I would have taken my suv back home. There are other shops that will waive the fee if I get the work done.
My copay is only $50! I feel I was misled and I just don’t have $99 to give away and not one thing has been done. I have been with you for a long time and I will not renew. I’m on a fixed income and I’ll take my chances with someone else. I am still paying on a contract on my 2005 and will be checking to see how much time I have left. (I could not read the booklet because I have a concussion because I fell while I was trying to move.)

After my second month as a customer my a/c went down. Took it to an authorized a/c repair shop and had it check. They told me the compressor need it to be replaced. Within 24 hours CarShield resolved my situation. Very satisfied! Will remain a customer.

Repair rear springs on the 2013 Silverado. This was a first time experience for me. I was very pleased with the results from the beginning to the end. The truck was riding rough. The new springs made a big difference! I feel very good about my decision to enrolling into the Car Shield Program.

2014 Cadillac SRX. While it didn't cover the car expense I had, new information screen or new headlights, I felt comfortable knowing that I was covered for major problems. The people were very pleasant and helpful with questions. I would recommend Car Shield if you are interested for warranty coverage on your vehicle.

I just wish the coverage was more extensive. I feel like I'm paying for something that inevitably won't be useful in the end. I just got it because the commercial on television lead me to believe it would cover me completely. I'm pretty sure I'm overpaying for something that won't cover me when it's time to.

Had to cancel our warranty due to the economic status my husband is in with his job. My rep told me they could work with me etc but once you get behind it's hard to get caught up. I will probably have to be reinstated when all is good and he returns to work.

Car would not start, turned out to be a dead battery. I called CarShied. They located my position and told me someone would be there within an hour. In 30 min or so I was back on the road, no questions asked. I somewhat expected some kind of invoice in the days to follow, but have not to this day received any. Everyone was courteous and very helpful. THANKS Carshield.

The customer representative was well informed and helpful. I did cancel the contract I had just opened once I received the contract details in the mail a few days AFTER I started the contract online. If I had seen the details BEFORE signing up I would not have signed up. It was not a good fit for me.

This is a dishonest scam outfit. Called beforehand and asked about specific issues, if they would be fixed like a cigarette lighter outlet and an electronic door hatch that did not work correctly. I was told with the warranty for electronic components that this will be covered. I just found out that they only covered a small piece of the entire repair service and that my dealership had to wait for a part that they sourced, which can be a used part, a re-manufactured part, a third part part or whatever this company wants to get and does not honour what they told me!
Then they told me that the part will be warrantied for the rest of my life as long as I keep this insurance, my dealership is not warranty the item that they just put in as it was not supplied through them! Beware, these are thieves at large! I am cancelling it as soon as I receive my car back tomorrow! Also, I will call my credit card to advise them that I put a cancellation in so that these thieves will not have access to my money anymore! Do yourself a favour and stay away from these disgusting people!

I needed to find out if what I had been told about Car Shield's rating by the Better Business Bureau was justified. I was told that Car Shield would honor all things stated in my coverage despite what was told to me by another company selling additional car coverage. After hearing those statements from your representative I decided to continue with my Care Shield auto coverage.

The young man never said anything about selling our account to Mepco. I wanted to get on site to see my account. He told me he could do that for me. And tell me what is on my acct. The only way I found out was to read the 15 pg Warranty. It is fine that the payments go to Mepco but Car Shield should tell us that.

I had accidentally thrown out my CarShield during a bout of housecleaning. In a panic, I called CarShield and contacted Customer Service. After explaining my predicament, I found the customer service representative to be very helpful. He said that a duplicate copy of my CarShield contract along with my account number would be sent to my E-mail address by the end of the day. Thank you very much, CarShield!

Has an appointment to drop off my car on Friday. No ticket number assigned. I have a concern regarding the rental reimbursement policy. I feel a rental should be available when I leave my vehicle, as I have paid CS already each month, just as I do with my auto insurance. This makes the process easier for the insured/customer.

When I needed Car Shield they were not there, I'm a single woman and I took car shield out so I would be protected, that was a laugh because they didn't cover the latch in the driver's door. I was ready to get rid of car shield but boyfriend said to get them another chance so I am but if they let me down again then I don't need them and I do have lots of single female friends that have car shield and if I have trouble again you can bet they will hear about it and drop them as fast as they can as I will.

CarShield seemed like it was a good company however my experience was not that great because of one reason. My car just quit. It just stopped. It took them forever to approve the work. They told me I could not get a rental car until the work was approved. I just didn't understand why it took so long to approve it. This is a car that only had 24,000 miles on it and all of the paperwork for oil changes was there. On TV, they say that you get your car immediately. In the end, when they finally approved it, I didn’t need a car ‘cause I work a week and I’m off a week. It happened that it was the week that I was off so I didn't really need the rental car.

Good! Ok, CarShield has an automatic bank draw on my account! Your very kind attendant said that it was declined for some reason? After our conversation she tried it again and it paid!!! Called my credit union and jumped them but was told there was no record of it being declined.

Called to make an update to the billing method. Making the update was easy and took no time. Rep. was very helpful. In addition I requested that a copy of my policy be emailed. As when I was filling away the paperwork, I must have misplaced or lost the original. Rep. agreed and sent it right out, received with right away. No problem.

Radiator was leaking. Called Car Shield to see if radiator was covered, They said yes, I took my car to dealer and they had to install a new radiator. I was extremely grateful to have Car Shield. The best aspect of me getting CarShield, was speaking with customer service signing up. I had 2 vehicles registered with CarShield. Took one of my vehicles to the dealer for a check engine light. Dealer indicated one side of my catalytic converter was going bad. Well, I had the dealer contact CarShield, well claim was denied. So, I attempted to get in contact with claims to get the reason of the denial, no luck. The agents, who were not in claims kept saying let me read the notes and see what happen and would always try and transfer me to claims. So, I canceled the service.
Maybe 4 or 5 days later, I hear a message on my phone from CarShield claims wanting me to call and they could explain the denial. I go into my bank account and yes, these cats had deducted their payment. Right, no refund from that payment, and I had to ask did I still have coverage for another month? There is no site where you can review your account, not even an email or text per a claim. My mom told me someone told her CarShield doesn't pay up.

You can view your policy at any time by downloading our app. Your claim was denied because the catalytic converter is a part not listed for coverage on your policy. If you called us, at CarShield, we are not the administrator of your account so we do not have a claims department here and need to transfer you to American Auto Shield who handled your claim. All this info is in your contract. Let us know if you have any questions.

I called customer service and the most excellent CSR help me resolve my account concerns. You see I did not want my warranty's on my two vehicles to elapse. The CSR was very efficient and fast, she had everything resolve in less than 10 minutes and was able to charge my account at my request so that payment would post a week earlier than it normal posting date. Power train coverage. It's nonexistent. Everything out to the final drive on my Suburban is covered but not my final drive. As a mechanic I would not recommend your service. It's crap at best. You sell something that says it's covered but it's not. I will be contacting my attorney general and giving them all the information. Your office is closed right now or it would be canceled already but it will be tomorrow.

I've been FAITHFULLY paying each month for Car Shield. Initial call to file a claim was great, BUT when the repair company called the Claim Department (as instructed by initial call), the claim was denied. I am looking for another warranty company ASAP!!!

When I had my Durango I put in a claim for the motor dropping out of the car. I was informed by CarShield that they did not cover that since it was the bolts that broke and not a specific motor problem. Paying the 2800 to put the motor back in my Durango was my problem not Carshield's and they were not going to pay any part of it even though I supposedly had bumper to bumper coverage.

They told me that they take care engine work. Not true. They only pay for oil changes and lubrication but they say engine repair and they only go by the amount of money you pay in and they don't tell you that you pay all the taxes too.

My car failed me going to work on 4/11/20. The radiator had overheated and ran hot. When taken fo the shop it was discovered that the Èngine Coolant Outlet housing was needed. I have never had any insurance treat me this way! It’s been over a week and I still do not have my car back! Everything is covered they say but they do not want to approve anything to be fixed! The 4 day rental is a joke because you will need a rental for a minimum of 2 weeks dealing with them. And you will pay out of pocket way more than the 160 they MIGHT GIVE YOU.

Was hoping more would be covered, due to what my shop said was needed. My shop thought the car required more work than the inspector determined. It seems that CarShield adjusters work hard to find a reason to deny my claim. Then it is taking too long for the inspector to inspect. Don’t know when I will get my vehicle or if CarShield is going to do what I was told they would do when I joined. I trusted the salesman but the fine print in the contract is different from what the salesman said to me. But no problem. It is what it is.

The road service man "Carlos" arrived in about 15 min. Very nice in all ways - helped me out and got car started right then. He helped me get the car to a service area to replace battery and have car checked for everything - fluids, tires etc.

When I was signing on the Agent recommended Gold but when I took my car for repairs, I was told that the repairs were not covered and that I should have got platinum or silver. Whoever heard of such a thing that platinum and silver are more of value than Gold. To me POWERTRAIN PLUS (GOLD) coverage surpasses platinum or silver, except in Carshield world.. A deliberate attempt to confuse prospective consumers.

I spoke with one customer service rep and she was not very professional, I hung up and called back and got Twyana and she was so compassionate, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She went out her way to find the best deal that would fit my budget with what we are facing in the world today, then me canceling my coverage. Need better relation between the shop and CarShield rep. when vehicle is in for repairs. Some shop doesn’t want the headache dealing with CarShield and especially when is giving the deal for transmission repair. I’m had good service with my other vehicle with the shop.

Purchased an extended warranty contract for my vehicle in 2019, was told that the rate (cost) would not increase, Jan 2020 received a letter stating an increase and that after Feb 1, "we will not be able to guarantee the service contract quote designed specifically for your vehicle". Since I had until May 2020 before the contract ran out I called and was given the excuse that the letter was an advertisement in an attempt to get car owner to sign up. I am a client. Why send me this, ummmm. So I asked for a refund of the months not used and for them to cancel the warranty. I was told I could not get a refund because it was past the 30 days. I would not recommend them to anyone.

1st, When I signed up, I still had 10k left on 50k factory warranty, and most of sign up month gone, but they backed up and hit credit card immediately. 2nd, Received confirm, but never contract. Called CS, and they did resend several times, and finally they gave up and sent a book, (Quick), I have not used it yet, because I still have 5k on warranty, (had and paid 3 months now), And when I showed Dealership, I had aquired outside warranty, they sort of went, well ok, so I am not sure about, product yet. But your Billing Dept. is Fast, and CS dept. are fast and eff. DMC

I was told warranty covered motor, etc. When I called to make a claim a year and 3 months later, was told they only covered it if a certain part went bad to cause it. Dealership had told me Car Shield always make excuses why they won't cover whatever you need. They said they have never had a client cover problem by car shield, that they always have excuses. After paying for over a year money down the drain. Not true what commercials claim! Dont get it!!!! I asked for my money back and of course didnt get a cent.

Due to my unfortunate spinal problem worsening l am having to go through spinal shots often. This makes me unable to handle the truck any longer without harming what my Dr’s are are achieving. They have recommended that l don’t force my legs to stretch out because it’ll make the area’s that they are working on open up again. So l cannot be paying a bill that l can’t afford. As the Pastor of a Church it was very useful in serving the people and now I have to think about what to do. I do appreciate you having been understanding on the phone during this times.
Other than changing the oil and having it diagnosed we didn’t get to use the plan but from what we had heard from friends and family members, there’s no doubt that we would have been perfectly happy with it. In talking with your staff at the various departments we were surprised at their understanding attitudes instead of the negative and ugly reception that a person is faced with in a case like this. I have taken my car to the mechanic and was denied my claim. My sensors was to be under my contract and you denied that. I understand you can't fix everything but you turned down something that is in my contract.

I had to talk to 3 different people. I called the main # & said I needed to make a payment & change the dd of my payment. He told me I had to call another #, I asked him to transfer me & he said he couldn't. I called the # & they took my payment (& charged me $5) but said they couldn't change the date & they transferred me back to the main #. This wonderful lady worked with me on changing the date, but told me to call them & not paylink because they can take it & only charge me less. Not sure why the 1st guy didn't know that.

Changed their rules depending on who I talked to. Asked a question. Answ. seemed wrong. Called again. Got an opposite answer. The third time I was told the first two were wrong. Got a supervisor and was advised the people were probably new and did not know. They said I was not covered even though the work is listed on the contract. I have canceled. I am concerned that they will pull this stunt if it's a large problem. It seems like a scam.

I called because I received a letter that I needed to activate my service contract. I have had my contract for almost 2 years now and the representative said it was just an ad and it usually sent to customers that don't currently have it and that I don't have to worry about the letter. It just so happens that I need to have my truck taken in to have the transmission worked on. She gave me the number for the tow company they use and explained how to make the claim. She was very helpful and found the info very quickly even though she explained that she was working from home and things are a little different and may take her a little longer than it normally would.

After replacing stepper motor, which CarShield approved, it was discovered heat pump is also defective, which was not approved for replacement. Now I still have no heat, so what benefit is it to me to have your coverage if you won’t replace the primary source of the entire passenger heating system. Either you cover ALL COMPONENTS of this system, or why cover any of it?Obviously, you don’t want to cover anything that involves more labor.

I’m glad I made the decision to go with Car Shield for my BMW. It has been a wonderful experience and easy to use since my manufacturers warranty expired and I’d recommend their product to anyone in search of a car warranty.

We did not know that CarShield did not cover the schook replacement. Now we don’t know what CarShield will cover or not. We had to drive the car back home and find someone to fix it for us. We had to rent a car when our car was in the shop for three days and the car was not fixed because it cost us too much money for us to pay when all along we said CarShield will help cover the cost. We were wrong. CarShield needs to let people know what they cover and what they don’t before people buy the contract so they will not be disappointed like us. When they take the car to the shop and are told CarShield will not cover you have to pay the repairs on tv. It sounds so good how CarShield help but it is not that way when you really need the help for CarShield.

Shocks and struts are general maintenance and are not listed for coverage on your policy. On the contract we sent over, it covers what is listed and what is not. We are sorry to hear there was confusion about this. If you'd like us to go over your policy with you, please let us know.
