Everything went great. Have no complaints with the service I received. The place Hodge Ford contacted the warranty place and they consented to pay for the work. I paid my deductible and they took care of the rest. I am very pleased with this company and the way they handled this situation.

My car was showing that my coolant was low and adding coolant only lasted a day or so. Took car in to be checked and found the water pump was not working properly. My mechanic called into CarShield and the repair was handled expeditiously.

My family was getting ready to move from GA to CA and our VW CCs fuel pump went out. Our claim was paid in one business day and we were ready to go. The next month her water and coolant system had a leak in it. This claim was paid in a reasonable amount of time. I am very happy with the service that I received from CarShield.

I had to have some major repairs done to my SUV, I had a great experience. Even the dealer mentioned that CarShield was a good protection company. The repairs were diagnosed and CarShield was very accommodating. They were able to work with the dealership to make the necessary repairs.

Very helpful with my account. Has helped me to stay updated about anything I need to know. Very friendly and professional and knowledgeable. Great service. Have a few problems with my finances and agent has always helped me work it out. Also had questions about my service agreement and agent was able to solve all my issues.

The agent was very courteous and friendly. I recommend this service to all my co-workers, friends and family. It is a very good peace of mind and security. I also like the fact that this coverage is transferable to another car if you should trade in your current car.

ONE CLAIM - NOT COVERED. Vehicle Environmental Control Failure (Intermittent) is not covered by company policy. Note: Environmental Control Panel was suspected and changed (less than $350), yet erratic temperature control failure persists - manufacturer's schematics failed to show complete power distribution to aid troubleshooting of vehicle cabin environmental control system.

Excellent customer service in the sale area. I have not had the need to utilize the service plan on my Silverado Duramax LTZ but I only hope that any and all claims go as well as the purchase and as seamlessly with complete "no hassle coverage" as was promised at point of sale.

CarShield was the one that called me at the particular time I was ready to purchase a warranty. The only thing that I don't like is that they said that they would give me a rental car when my car was being repaired. I got a rental car and paid for it out of my own pocket and sent them the bill, and thus far, they've stiffed me on reimbursing me for the rental car. The first time they told me they never got the fax, so we sent a second time and they called back and confirmed that they received it, but we still haven't gotten a check.

My car was in the shop for seven business days, nine considering the weekend. The shop that was repairing it said that they haven't received approval to work on the car yet and it had been almost a week before they received approval. When I talked to CarShield about the reimbursement on the rental, they said, "We only reimburse for the number of hours that it takes to repair your car. We don't reimburse for weekends.” But everything else was top-notch and it was a good experience. CarShield did what they said they were gonna do when I purchased the warranty.

When was time for me to get extended coverage in my truck I spoke to a number of different providers. I was pleased with the effort to this company CarShield. They provided me a good mileage plan and a good fair price. I have yet to have the need to use them for any repair work to look forward to the customer service if it is reflected the same as their sales service.

CarShield was pushy signing me up, but I’m happy that I have the service. And they did a good job at explaining everything. Their customer service is also good. Whenever I call them up, I end up getting through to a mechanic. It sounds like they’re in a garage and then he would just tell me, “Have your mechanic call me.” And then they take care of everything. I’ve used their services twice. I paid close to three grand total for the warranty. And they’ve already paid out over $2,000 worth of stuff in less than two years. The first time, I had a problem with my transmission. I had it towed to a shop and they fixed it. It was very quick and I had my car back within the week. The second time, which was recently, the electronic part, was also done very quickly. I brought my car to the shop on my own. The guy diagnosed the problem and he called them up. The service of CarShield is really excellent. I’d recommend them to other people.

Ever since I leased a vehicle from GM about 6 years ago I continue to get robo phone calls from CarShield even though I told them I no longer own this vehicle they ask me about. Since I blocked their phone calls about every 2-3 months I get a letter from them. Then even after blocking every number they call me from they manage to use a new local phone number to call me. I'm so over this stupid company that is nothing but a scam and won't take me off their phone or mailing list after requesting it many times. Talk about lost patience with these people!!!

I changed automobiles and wanted to exchange my current CarShield to my new (used) automobile. I was given a credit for the months remaining and another 100,000 extended warranty. The agent was pleasant and met all my needs. We were disconnected and was initially upset that she did not return the call. But I called the next week and all the information was in the computer, so the process was seamless.

Radiator - This was my first time using the service. It was an easy experience. All I had to do is provide the car dealer with the claim's phone number and everything was handled and covered. It's good to have something that will cost that much not have to be paid out of pocket.

Salesperson was very informative. My husband talked to him but he seemed interested in our having the best warranty for our Impala. He was very helpful in finding out that our local service station where we have oil changes, etc done, are qualified for any warranty work. We were very pleased to find that out as car franchises do not know you personally so they just do the job.

I called just to get a quote for a extended auto warranty. After receiving my quote I told the person I was talking to I couldn't afford it. He said his mgr. might could get me a lower price. When I told the mgr. I would need to talk to my husband he became very rude & pushy. He told me to call him. I was not able to get him because I couldn't put him on hold. He told me I was liar that I hadn't tried. He asked what else had lied to him about. He kept on and said his mother who was a Sr. also bought a vehicle she couldn't afford. My son was listening. We were both shocked at this person’s rudeness. I hung up on the man. All I wanted was a simple quote not to be attacked verbally.

The first time I talked to someone about getting this extra coverage I felt like I was being pushed into it. I wasn't sure if I could afford it. I'm still not sure if I can afford it, but I do know that I cannot afford being broke down.

The experience was great, my car was serviced quickly and efficiently and I received a loaner car to drive. At least half of the price was covered by my extended warranty. I was very pleased with the fact that the warranty covered a portion of the labor, which I wasn't aware of. I was very satisfied with my experience. Thank you.

Unexpected repairs to the suspension or hydraulics. Some confusion about how to contact you on our end. As soon as the repair was discerned and contact made, everything went well. The garage who completed the repairs had no complaints about working with your company. Been driving ever since.

Good experience. First time having this type warranty. Towing company was a little slow but left the key and booklet in the car and was called when it arrived at repair shop and when done. Paid just the deductible and have had no issues since.

I have had two repairs covered and both times the car dealer called and it was handled without me needing to do anything. Very professional and a good value as the covered repairs were expensive. Again it was a painless process. The monthly payments made it easy to pay. I have been able to keep my car longer and still have a warranty to cover the major repairs. Even the oxygen sensor was covered.

I took my Jetta in for 3 items: sway bar links, door latch, and error code which turned out to be a sensor issue. The first two items were covered and saved me about $850. However, the sensor problem was not covered as it turned out to be caused by very tiny oil leak. The seal would have had to be fixed but I decided not to spend the $800.

I originally had an extended coverage when I bought my vehicle. I thought it would be a good thing to have and I did a second one. I was comfortable with CarShield so I renewed with them. The representative was very informative and comfortable. I had one repair but the mechanic talked with them and the process was pretty painless. I was appreciative of them covering everything for me and it was peace of mind. I would recommend them.

I responded online to get information. Free quote. Thinking I would be contacted by email, I waited. No email. Instead, received a call from a Missouri number. I called back the next day. Spoke with Paul. More interested in closing the sale before I had any information in my hand. He read off the coverage and asked for a credit card. I had to ask then tell him on the third and fourth time, I do NOT buy any warranties until I have the warranty in writing. Paul questioned why I would need to see the warranty and stated it refundable, as if it's ok to purchase the unknown because it refundable.

Finally he emailed it to me. It was basic coverage. I am looking for complete coverage. When I told him I will pass, he questioned me about why not. Explained several times. Then he insinuated that I wanted to see the plan first as a excuse to not speak with anyone. VERY high pressure, felt like he was selling a used car. Stated the company had been around since the 80s. Maybe so, but they changed their name. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM CarShield. EVER.

It's nice to know there are businesses out there that own up to their contracts as written!! I would Definitely use this company in the future with any new car purchase!! One Never knows if and or when you will need the services you've paid for, just like any other insurance policy that we all already have. Peace of mind is how I would describe knowing I have purchased this Insurance!!

I was a bit confused when I first bought the CarShield warranty. Their reps gave me explanations on the car warranty but they mentioned a price first and later on told me another price which was $1,000 more. And I didn't have that information from all the paperwork they sent to me. My only question is what the final cost of the warranty is and if that's gonna be the total price. But everything looks okay so far. They have been good to me and I’m very happy with all the help.

After dealership got done changing parts at my cost of $1,291.40, CarShield sent rep to dealership confirming actual issue and getting my Vehicle back on the road. Both torque converter and transmission were replace and the six month annoying noise was gone. Thanks Carshield???

I have a five year auto insurance from CarShield and I just wish it was longer. I've got less than 20,000 miles to go but still have two years left on it. I'm going to hit the miles before the contract is done. My claims are submitted by the dealership. I never got a hassle on anything and they never asked for any documentation.

The guy "Jeremy" came on the phone and pitch his sale right away. High pressure. He knew everything. My car had a lot of miles already. I told him I took good care of my car and he went in it doesn't matter how I take care of my car. I told him it just Christmas and I need talk to my husband. And more high pressure sale. Kept cutting me off so I hung up. And then he kept trying to call. I thought I would be having someone listen to my needs not tell me what I need. No you won't be getting my business and 227 for monthly payments is not worth it.

I am the most forgetful person when it comes to leaving reviews - as I usually base many of my own decisions off of the experience & reviews of others - but this is something that upset me enough to literally create an account JUST to leave a review. I am also never one to bash a company as I know my opinion is my very own & I would never want this done to me, but when a company is a pure scam artist & deserves it, my sympathy and respect goes completely out of the window. I'll start off by mentioning that this is the third time I receive the same letter in the mail about my "vehicle warranty" being "expired". I also cannot forget to mention that my boyfriend received the exact same letter on the EXACT SAME DAY as I did - we have separate vehicles, separate bills, you name it (soooo, let's not be too obvious, guys)!

The very first time receiving this, I immediately called the dealership I purchased my car with and explained the situation, as they reassured me that my warranty remained in effect until 92,000 miles or until January 31, 2019 (which is exactly what I originally thought and a LONG time from now). After receiving this letter for the third time last week, I instantly disregarded. Today, I received a phone call about this same letter! Once I was finally connected to a sales rep - instead of a ridiculous machine - she asked me a ton of questions... including year, make & model of car, how many miles, etc. She also explained that I had an expired warranty. I proceeded to tell her that I called my dealership months ago about this letter & told her that my warranty isn't nearly expired. She proceeds along the lines of... "Ma'am, your warranty ends after 35,000 miles or by _____ (date - cannot remember).

Would you like to go over some of our plans to extend your warranty?" I stopped her there & was certain to let her know that I bought my USED vehicle with 52,000 miles already on it which obviously shows how accurate their system is, right? She continues... "Well, being that you're over 35,000 miles, this is why your warranty is expired and we were willing to offer you additional plans." As I told her that I purchased my own extended warranty WHICH IS STILL IN EFFECT at the same exact time of purchasing my car, she IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP ON ME. IMMEDIATELY!!!

What kind of scam is this? REALLY? HANG UP?? She thought she could get me because I was over 35,000 miles, but how could this company (if it's so legit) not know their facts before mailing letters & calling people? Also, if you didn't really want us to pick up on this scam, you should have a better system when someone gives a response that may not give you the business you wanted instead of literally hanging up in their face! HIGHLY UPSET! Please, no one give in to this SCAM!

I received a letter from CarShield saying call within five days because my warranty may have or could have already expired. Since I just purchased my New 2016 Kia Forte5.. I was immediately shocked with worry.. especially when I know I covered this car with the works... full coverage, extended bumper to bumper... Gap ins. They were persistent to see that I need this Car Shield for after I pay the car off... At a rate of 213.00 per month for 15 months.. who has that type of money with a New car note and already fully covered. My suggestion is to DON'T SEND FRIGHTENING LETTERS OUT!!!! SEND ONE SUGGESTING ADDITIONAL COVERAGE...

Claiming with CarShield is very easy. I filed my second claim because my horn wouldn't stop blowing. They had to take the whole steering wheel apart and it was under warranty. The auto dealership just took my information and they handled everything. I didn't have to contact them and get pre-approval. That was a very smooth transition. I recommend them to my friends.

I have an old car and I didn't want to worry about stuff while driving. I’ve always been skeptic about the whole process of auto warranties in general, but I joined CarShield ‘cause I saw a commercial and it sounded legit. The initial call was pretty good. I got the information I needed and I got everything taken care of. It was so easy and I was doing it while I was driving.

When I called asking for additional information about what would happen in the event of me needing anything, their reps were good. I had a ton of questions and they were full of a bunch of information and were really helpful. They show that they really care at CarShield. I did not talk to some outsourced call center, or to someone who didn't know what’s going on or hasn’t been really trained on the policies. Everybody that I spoke with so far seemed to know everything that was going on and at any time that they didn't know something, they knew who to contact or who I needed to contact. It has been a very painless experience.

A/C was not cooling. It took the tech a while to fix it. The dealership gave us a loaner car to use while they kept the car. Had to order parts. They made sure everything was working perfectly before they told us to come pick up the car. We were very pleased with their work and service.

Well there was two people. The original person I spoke with had to connect me to the salesman. The salesman was like a used car salesman. I thought I was I want a parking lot somewhere looking at a lemon. Very pushy salesman. I told him I needed to speak to my wife which is true. It's for her vehicle. And he informed me that I would have plenty of time to speak to my wife and that if she didn't like it then they would refund the money back to my credit card. I do not do deceitful things behind the back of the one I love.

I was insulted that he would expect me to or ask me to. I am from him more than once that I would be discussing it with my wife and he could email these things to our email and he said he would be mailing the policy to me and that it would take 20 days and we could discuss it then. I don't know what kind of world we live in but it has greatly changed from the days when honor was automatic. I am a 50-year-old man and I do love my wife and my children. I wasn't raised like that and that's the reason why my family loves me. If this generation could learn honor, respect, courtesy and love for each other the world might last a little longer. Sincerely disgusted customer.

I'm extremely upset with this company for attempting to take advantage of my mother. They made her believe that the warranty for her car had expired and she had to get a policy with them. The warranty was 3x as expensive as the warranty my mother currently has (it still has a long way to go before expiring). Then, when my mother called to cancel, the individual on the phone attempted to convince her for several minutes to keep the policy when my mother clearly stated several times she wanted to cancel. Horrible business practices all around!

One of my sons advised me not to buy an extra warranty, but then I never know when something is going to go wrong. I'm retired and I got a retirement check and social security. My car is a year old, and it can cause a lot of money to get it fixed, so I looked into getting a warranty. CarShield contacted me first, so I talked and went with them. The people at CarShield have been really good. I hadn't set up AutoPay. I usually get most of my bills through my email and I never received a bill. So, I missed the payment, and at the time, I didn't have the money. They worked with me to get caught up and then we set up for email notification. When they've contacted me, they've been really efficient, very cooperative and willing to work with me.

I purchased a new extended warranty today. Rep I spoke to was very informative and clear as to what would be covered and the cost of the policy. I have not had to use policy since it was just purchased but am hopeful since my car is brand new (less than 10,000 miles), this will come in handy in the life of my vehicle if I ever need additional coverage.

CarShield is the extended auto warranty policy for our 2012 BMW. My warranty was ending then and BMW is an expensive car to fix, so I figured a warranty would probably be in my best interest. Recently I had some electrical and engine repairs done and everything went well. The claims process was all handled by the dealership. We are satisfied with them.

My truck warranty was gonna run out quick. So I talked to two people from CarShield and both of them were great. My experience on taking out the warranty for my truck worked pretty good. The agent that I was talking to wasn’t just trying to sell me something, but actually thought that I needed it and it would be better if I had it. She sounded like she really meant what she’s saying. So after listening to her and talking to her, I went ahead and took the warranty.

Since it's gonna be three years from now before the warranty kicks in to full value, I didn’t want to pay the full price. The agent and her manager gave me a real good price and so I took it. CarShield's price was reasonable and I wasn't gonna get as good a price anywhere else, so I didn’t see any need to keep looking around. Also, their reps were able to answer and help me out with everything I asked. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. If ever I have to turn in a claim, it would be taken care of. CarShield is a fine company to work with.

Car repair under ext warranty - Repair went fast and easy, and paid quickly. Great company. Relief knowing my older car has protections. My '09 Hummer is no longer made so having extended warranty is great.

Repair Service 2010 Kia Soul Air Compressor - My air had gone out on my car. I was looking for someone local to make repairs. I was referred by someone in the neighborhood so I visit the shop and a friend of mine was getting her car repaired and assured me great place. They looked at my vehicle and told me what was wrong and what it cost to repair it. I needed a compressor. I agreed upon the repairs and the work was done on time. This company is very professional and showed genuine concern about getting quality parts as that was one of my concerns. I was also told if any issues to come back and they would fix the problem. I rated them a 5 star service in every area. My air blows very cold. I am a satisfied customer. I have already referred customers to them. I am happy with Omnisure also.

I tried to get an extended warranty quote saying, I just bought the vehicle. I spoke to one salesman who didn't know why I wanted to talk it over with my wife so on to the head salesman who pushed and pushed for my cc. I said I just want a quote as well as other quotes from different companies which he said "We are the only company that sells for all the companies." Again I said "Thanks but just looking" and he really started getting angry that I just wanted a quote, saying I'm making a dumb mistake and "you might as well sell it if you don't get this warranty today". He said all the companies won't give me a quote too and hung up. Total idiot.

We bought our Nissan Rogue used and it didn't have a factory warranty with it anymore. We had a warranty for our previous car and it worked out really well. It really was beneficial for us so we decided to get one again from CarShield. We've had to utilize them one time and it worked out well. We called the dealership, made an appointment and took the card down. They evaluated it and identified what the problem was. Then they got authorization that it was covered under the warranty and they fixed it on the same day.

Knowing how the economy is, I got myself an auto warranty and CarShield's reps were very helpful and knowledgeable. When I filed a claim to them for the radiator, everything went smoothly. I even talked to the individual that did the work on the car radiator and he had the audacity to tell me that that happens a lot and if I had called it in under 38,000 miles I would have got it done for free. But because I didn't check it at that time, I had to pay to get it fixed. CarShield paid what they have to pay and I paid the rest. Whenever I get a car, I'm going to make sure I have that warranty because the warranty on the car always expires. The best part about the extended warranty is I could renew it and continuously have it at all times. With the car warranty, it's a whole different ballgame. It can be renewed but it's going to cost more.

I was considering all the electronics on my car so I thought it might be wise to have an auto warranty so I got CarShield. My interaction with their specialist went really smoothly. I was pleased. When I took my vehicle in to the Ford garage and had it worked on last month, they dealt with them as to what's covered and what wasn't. So, that helped. Carshield's customer service team is very good. However, it took a couple of days longer than I thought it would because a part wasn't in stock. Nevertheless, it's all been wonderful for me and I was very satisfied.

After approval by claims administrator, car was repaired at Ford dealer. I had other services performed that were not covered by warranty, covered a leaky rear main seal, PTU seal, as well as a right axle seal and saved me over $2000.00.

The extended warranty I had with Old Republic was running out and evidently, CarShield knows what warranties are running out so when their guy gave me a call, I decided I’d better go ahead and pull the trigger. Old Republic served me well and now CarShield is the one serving me since I got a re-extension with them. We talked about the plans and what it would cover and I went with the best fit they had. It’s come where I stood and I let it lapse for a while and then I had to catch it back up so we’re up to date now. Everybody was real courteous and worked with me.

I had to have some transmission work the other day and CarShield covered everything but $100 of it, which is my deductible, and I was happy. The service provider called them up and they told him to give the prescription, what the parts are, and the hours it’s gonna be. The service provider did that and CarShield said, "Go for it." It was an easy process according to the service provider and I didn’t have to do a thing. I was real impressed with it. So, everything’s been good so far.

We've had CarShield before on our cars and got them again. When the timing chain on my Explorer went out, the process took a little longer than I anticipated. It took about a month after them sending out the adjuster for them to finally decide to put a new motor in it. But it all worked out in the end. The motor is fixed and running which is the important part.

So far we like it. We haven't had it long enough to know. The agent was very knowledgeable and helpful and explained the policies so we knew what coverages that we had. So far the only negative thing we have to say is that we have never received our policy.

Requested a quote online. Sales guy called and tried using high pressure sales, once I pointed that out he developed a bad attitude! Within 2 minutes I told him to remove me from their list. He replied "Hey look you requested this quote and I won't remove you from our list"! I told this guy "I don't deal with high pressure sales" and hung up. This jerk called back in seconds, yelling at me on how rude it is to hang up on someone! I was in total shock, I'd never had a company do this. He continued yelling at me about how I requested information and he was going to give it to me. I hung up again after telling him 1 more call and I'd file harassment complaint with customer service. NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I demand a refund and cancellation of the contract. I was misled claiming that my warranty on my vehicle was expired even though I had a current one through my dealer which led me to call for more information. The whole time on the phone with the rep said that I would only be paying $61.93 total for 5 years NOT $6,193. This whole time they acted as if they were a part of the dealership or had some relation with the people I bought my original warranty with. Our extended auto warranty was running out. We've used the 5 years/50,000 as my wife's got over 50,000 miles already though we're still covered for the 100,000 in the engine and frames. But we never know when we'd need a warranty. We take a lot of trips and I don't want a breakdown and have no way to get the car fixed. So I checked every company and the CarShield reps were very pleasant and helpful on the phone. And if I had a question, they had answers or would check and find out right away. That means a lot. Their customer service was very good so I assumed their business is gonna be very good. We got the full package at $100 deductible which isn't that bad as well. I had to wait until I had 1,000 miles before the coverage started working which bothered me a bit but that's alright.

CarShield was all better on some of the services. Nobody except CarShield wanted to cover the electronics. That's very important. She has the radio and the navigation system, which she uses a lot, as one unit. That's $3,000/$4,000, so their coverage helps a lot. Then the CarShield coverage also included roadside assistance unlike with a lot of the other companies wherein I had to pay extra.

I entered my information online last week to get a quote. Today, I get the phone call and everything with the call was going fine until I spoke with an account manager. That account manager would not let me off the phone, especially when I told him I had an appointment to get to that was 30 minutes away. He kept saying he acknowledged that I had to go, but would not let me off the phone.

And each time I kept saying he was pressuring me into buying today when I did not have the money. He said sorry, but kept holding me on the line, especially after stating, "I'm sorry for pressuring you, but we're here to take care of you." I understood that, but to keep dropping the price each time I kept saying I had to go and would call them back after I had the money was not a way to gain my business. It was to gain a sale and why apologize if you keep doing the same thing?

So instead of him letting me get off of the phone so I can get to my appointment on time, I had to hang up on him. CarShield will be not getting my business. I just asked for a quote, but to keep being pressured the way that I was says volumes of how they handle their business. My personal mechanic does not charge a lot for repairs so whatever it costs when something breaks down on my car, I'll just pay him myself.

Well, first I receive this letter in the mail stating that my warranty is going to expire on the brand new car I just purchased a few months ago. So, I panic, thinking I forgot to fill something out and immediately call the 800 # provided. A few minutes into the call I realize I have been "had". The sales pitch begins... I listen politely, decline and try to get off the phone. He continues to push me. Again I politely decline. He continues the "hard" sell. Now I find myself telling him my life story as to why I can't afford this right now. He doesn't care. He goes on and on about the terrible things that could happen to my car. Really?

Okay, now I get stern and say I am at work (I'm really not, but I'm desperate. He doesn't care... he keeps talking). This is the final straw. I hang up on him. And somehow I am left feeling like the bad guy. This is not fair! I am mad at the dealership for giving them my contact information. I am a little concerned that this crazy sales guy who I just hung up on has my contact information too.

When I purchased the warranty, it was great. When I decided to use it, though, I had a problem. CarShield said they're going to pay for the transmission and for it to get tore down, but when I got it tore down, they said they aren't going to pay. I had to pay $500 something. It took the warranty people so long to make up their mind if they're going to fix it or not that I had to have a vehicle that I rented for ten days. I finally called and they said they weren’t going to fix it. Just for no reason. When I called to cancel the warranty, the guy asked me why I wanted to cancel and convinced me to fix it. But it cost me to keep my rental car for so long because of the back and forth. I was very unhappy about that part. The people who have the authority won't return your calls and were very short with me. But with the payments, they would gladly take my money out of my account. They don’t wait for weeks.

I received a "FINAL NOTICE" in the mail that states: "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying repairs..." This is designed to dupe unsuspecting/uninformed into paying for something they may not even need. In my case, my car is just over 1 yr old, still under factory warranty AND covered thru the extended coverage protection purchased w/ the vehicle. I will be forwarding a complaint to the State of Kansas A.G.'s office.

I received a solicitation today via mail from CarShield, offering an extended warranty on my wife's Honda Odyssey, however, the document was designed to make us think that we already had a relationship with CarShield, e.g. "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle services contract activated" and "RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED." They also list my "Customer ID" account number in their document as if am their customer. They are pretending to be affiliated with Honda in an attempt to fool the gullible consumer into contacting them. This is fraud, plain and simple.

I was looking through different brochures trying to find out a decent warranty to put on my 2007 Lexus. The cost of parts is high so I have to have some protection. I decided to go with CarShield. I filed a claim for my alternator and I had no problem with the service, although I had to call a couple of times to get things straight. There was a time too when they couldn't find my payment for about 29 days. But when they did, CarShield applied it to my account.

I am just a customer doing due diligence in selecting a warranty company. I contacted CarShield and was passed from someone named Becky to a manager named Sean. They totally had me until Sean suddenly started talking to me in a way I can only describe as absolutely rude. All I was asking for was a sample contract so I could compare coverage. He replied by saying if he did that I will never call him back! I literally had my credit card out ready to buy when he started down a high pressure road. Then he said he would only do that if I gave him the down payment now! He eventually sent it to me but then demanded I stay on the phone while I read over the contract. I just can't stress how sold I was on the warranty until Sean began with the incredible high pressure in a rude manner. They lost a customer instantly when he did that. Finding a good company is turning out to be such a struggle.

I purchased an auto warranty to help us take care of any major issues that might come up with the car. CarShield covered a much higher mileage than what most of the other warranty companies seem to cover. The policy was affordable and it was easy making payments. I filed a claim with them a month ago for transmission that went bad. I gave their number to the Ford Company and they contacted the warranty company. They pretty much took care of it all. I just had to wait a few days for the equipment to show up.

I made a few calls to CarShield and they stick to the book in regards to the policy that I purchased and it’s understandable. The biggest problem I have sometimes with them was trying to find information on when I need to call on them. Or, I may forget what their company name is. Other than that, I wouldn't go without an auto warranty. I’d say it paid for itself last month.

I didn’t want to be without a car and I wouldn’t have been able to pay for that out of pocket right upfront so when I got the first letter for an auto warranty from CarShield, I went with them. When purchasing it, I was very pleased with the service that I got. It was easy making payments too as it automatically drafted out of my account. When my transmission flipped and it jumped whenever I accelerated, I got it replaced and it was a very big hassle because I took my car in on a Thursday. They didn’t come out until Monday to take a look at my car to see if it was approved. That left me without a car all weekend long. It took them two days to approve me so that left me for about a week without a car. I was very upset about that because they wouldn't cover our car and it was very complicated. But other than that, having the extended auto warranty is very valuable.

It's been great so far with CarShield. They were the auto warranty provider that the dealer provided. The cooling system of our car broke so we filed a claim for our air conditioner to have it replaced. It got replaced and everything was fine. Everything’s been really easy with the customer service team too other than when we didn't have the number in the car and we needed to have the car fixed at the time. We had to call them to get the number, but we found the number when we got home and we just put it back in the car.

My husband told me that getting CarShield would be a good idea because after the car's warranty runs out, repairs might pop up unexpectedly and we don’t always have money available. We answered a mail solicitation before and CarShield contacted me. My husband took care of everything as far as acquiring the extended warranty. He just told me to make money available. I had run into a little problem early on, but when we contacted them, they took care of whatever needs to be taken care of. We paid the deductible, and they handled the rest.

I filed two claims so far. The first one was about a rotary. Once I gave them the account information, the people doing the repair didn’t have any problems. They reimbursed, so that worked. The second claim was when my GPS that went out, and they replaced that board. I like what I have. It is really good because I'm still paying for the car. And as my husband said, if I didn’t have that insurance, it would've been really difficult to make the payment and then get the repairs done too.

I'm very happy with my CarShield experience. The company has awesome reps and their people are very helpful. Having the policy is very valuable. I gave them permission to take payments out of my checking account every month and it's paid back itself already. My train went out and I would have spent $3,000 to fix it but it only cost me $200, so it’s so much worth it. Their customer service team took care of the issue right away and got it done.

When I took my PT Cruiser to the Chrysler dealer, they filed a claim for me to CarShield. But Chrysler's been terrible and it took them three weeks to get my vehicle's AC fixed and back to me. They also took so long with the first two claims I had and they said CarShield didn't pay but I found that they did. So CarShield's been great, professional, and very rewarding.

Making payments for my CarShield warranty was very easy. The price range was what I expected. Though their protection specialist didn't give me that much information, they sent a brochure and that's what I went through. I filed a claim in the beginning of August for my AC compressor. They covered it and worked real well with the dealership on it so it was fine. Everything ran smoothly and that's what I enjoyed. It was a reliable and very smooth interaction.

I like CarShield a lot. They were very informative. I got their extended auto warranty for my Cobalt so I have something to cover when my original warranty wore out. It's very valuable and helps out a whole lot. When I filed a claim for the windows and the door lock, I presented my warranty to Chevrolet and they did the repairs and everything was paid.

I've had good service with CarShield. I've had it ever since I bought the truck new and I keep extending it every time it runs out. I've filed a claim thrice - when the fuel pump went out, when the oil pump went out, and when the transmission differential selection switch went out. They fixed all three in a timely manner. They're very prompt about their service. I'm glad I got it because what it cost me, I've already more than saved in the repair bills.

When I signed up for the policy of CarShield, the rep did a very poor job. He just gave me a sheet of paper and it really wasn't sufficient. I also had a problem in identifying the name of the company because it didn't say CarShield. Even the car dealership had no idea about the company or its coverage. Then when we took out car to the dealer to file a claim, it took forever. We were there for three hours, trying to get this thing done. And then finally, when the guy got the right number to contact, then the thing was covered. What normally should have only taken me an hour and a half, turned to four and a half hours. Plus, it took me another additional hour to get the repair done. So, I was there five and a half hours. It wasn't very fun and this happened on vacation. I'm very disappointed in the way the whole thing transpired.

I know I wouldn't get rid of my car anytime soon and I know I would have it for a while so I got CarShield. I've had them before and I liked the way they work.

The vehicle protection specialists worked hard. He went through everything, explained every step and if I have any question, he left me his number, which I appreciated. I have also passed the number over to someone else who was interested. Everything they said it was, it was. The guys from CarShield were very cordial. I'm glad I have a policy but I want it to do what CarShield said it would do. I bought my extended warranty from them on the basis that they said they were going to pay the proper labor rates because I used to have issues with that. When I signed up they said they had a new philosophy or policy, and that my issue was resolved and they were paying the normal rates in the area. However, I recently needed to file a claim and again, there was an issue and I had to pay the difference. It bothered me that they were not willing to pay the labor rates that the local Mercedes dealers in our area charge because it's a Mercedes and we take it to a Mercedes dealer. They're expecting me to take it to a Joe Schmo garage to get it fixed but that's not right. I'm irritated because I paid a lot of money for the policy.

I had an extended warranty before and I had good luck with it. It ran out and they didn’t have the warranties past 100,000 miles, so then I started looking and came across CarShield. The sales rep did not reveal everything to me. I was misled on some things saying that the warranty will cover this and that, but it didn’t cover everything they should have.

I had an electrical problem on the door locks and power windows. When I took it to the dealership and had it fixed, the dealer told me it was a switch in this one component. CarShield denied the claim and said it's not a switch. They were nitpicky and would not pay. They didn’t take care of me according to their book where it said it would cover switches. CarShield got technical and said, "That switch is inside of this and we don’t cover this." I was very upset with that and it ended up costing me $400 more. The dealership said I can protest it, but that I'll be wasting my time.

When I complained about this and what I was told when they sold me my warranty, they said the claims people and the salespeople are different entities and they have no control over what the salespeople do or say. So the salespeople can say whatever they want, but the claims people don’t have to back up what they say or don’t say. I have another vehicle that could use a warranty on and I won't use CarShield again because of that one fact. But I was happy with the way they handled my transmission problem. I was satisfied with it and they took care of me to my expectations.

I planned on keeping my car, and the manufacturer's warranty was about to wear out, so I decided to get something beyond that. I went with CarShield and their rep was friendly and seemed to be nice. I paid in full upfront for the warranty, so it was pretty easy. When my engine threw a rod recently and I had to use the warranty, I didn't deal with the customer service reps at CarShield. The service manager at the dealership I go to totally took care of everything for me. He said that they were trying to look for things to see if they could get out of paying for my car's repair, but I had all my service receipts and records, so eventually they did agree and paid for it.

I was happy and satisfied with the service that I got from them, and I was glad that I had purchased the warranty. It's very valuable to have an extended auto warranty. I just wish I would have had one that included car rental. I've seen some advertisements on TV that include car rental while your vehicle is being repaired, and in the future that will be a part of the service. I will definitely look forward to that because car rental still costs me a ton of money.

I own an older car which has a tendency to break down in different areas and I want to be protected. When I first bought this car several years ago, I was offered CarShield as protection by the dealership. When it finally ran out, I was called by the company saying I needed to restart it so I did. There's no difficulty in paying - they take it out on my checking account every month.

However, there was a problem at the beginning. CarShield didn't tell what exactly happened to the guy I was calling to get my transmission fixed. The guy I called thought that my car was still working and he explained to CarShield how my car acted on the road and that I lost power. Then, he told me that he wasn't told this. But immediately after that, I was approved for a replacement transmission. It was used, but it's working and they haven't charged me anything for it so I'm satisfied with it. It's good to have an insurance policy as replacing my old transmission would have cost $4,000 out of pocket.

My old warranty was about to expire, so I got an auto warranty from CarShield because the price was good and the payments were going be affordable. Making the payments is not difficult at all and are automatically withdrawn from my account. Last year, I called them about using my warranty to fix my car and filing the claim went really good. But I had to wait for someone to come and check out my car, and that wasn't done within 48 hours. Then I had to call the manager or supervisor at their office to look into getting my warranty to cover the charges. But once I had talked to somebody, they listened to me. Having the warranty was very useful.

I was impressed with what CarShield explained to me when I was looking for an extended warranty so I said I'd give it a try. Since I bought a used car, I wanted it repaired at little or no cost. CarShield offered me the Gold Plan and I was very happy with it because it was on time when I had to use it. My dealership was impressed with them. My starter went out and I was looking at buying a new one and have someone put it on and then it hit me that I had an extended warranty, so I called CarShield and I told them I needed the car towed. They said they would take care of it, and then they gave me a number to call. They had my car picked up where I wanted and got it repaired in less than a day. They called and told me the car was ready, I then paid my deductible and picked up the car. That was the best process that I've made since owning a car.

When I had my car fixed, it took 24 hours before they could even do anything. I didn't like them having a 24 hour wait to inspect my vehicle because it was an inconvenience. However, they replaced the two wheel bearings. It's great I took the warranty, it saved me some money but they could've covered more after what I paid for the extra extended warranty. It would have been like 900 but I ended up having to pay $300. On the other hand, the company I had the work done was very good.

We generally keep a car until the wheels fall of. The dealership warranty on our car had already expired so we got CarShield. About a month ago, we filed a claim for a transmission failure. We gave the car to our mechanic and he worked with CarShield. They had to have someone come out and inspect it and they had to have their own transmission shipped to him. It took about eight or nine days to get the whole process done which seem to be a long time. Having CarShield was good though. We would have spent more for the repair than we paid for the policy.

My warranty ran out, and at that time, I needed one. So when CarShield sent me a letter, I decided to take a chance. However, there was a lot that their rep didn’t tell me which I only found out later on. I wasn’t very happy with the service that I had. My car needed something done to fix the differential because it was making a really loud humming noise. I took it to the Ford dealer and they checked it out. They said something about the pinion bearing and they said they’d call CarShield about it and they’ll send somebody to inspect the car and check it out to determine whether it’s something they'll fix or not according to the contract.

I was disappointed when the dealer called me and said that CarShield sent a part that looks even worse than the one that came out of the car so they didn’t put it in. I was never told that a used part from the junkyard would go back to my car. I wasn’t happy about that but I said I’ll live with it as long as it would work. They sent about three used parts, and the fourth was a rebuilt one that doesn't work. At that point, my car had been sitting in the rain outside at the dealership for so long. When they gave it to me, I suddenly have all kinds of lighting on that wasn’t there. I never called for that one. There was nothing wrong with it when I gave them my car. But I got two lights on right now and I’m not really encouraged to claim it because I don’t want to repeat the way things went the last time. It’s not worth it.

I had my car sitting in somebody’s parking lot, getting wet, and now they’re telling me there is another part that’s wrong and according to the dealer, it's not a cheap thing. It's an electronic part now and CarShield is going to put a secondhand from the junkyard again. So I said, forget it. Now, the car is sitting here and I don’t have the money to pay to fix it myself so I just leave it there. If the dealer talked to CarSheild's personnel and told them that they could repair or rebuild the pinion themselves in their garage or in their shop, which they’ve done all the time, it would’ve cost a lot less than having all those differentials shipped over to the shop. Now I have a car that’s still making the differential noise and it’s got things that it didn’t have before and I don’t want to use it. I’m using my wife’s car right now and when I need something to do and my wife needs the car, one of us got to wait. I’m really very disappointed.

I’m getting up in age now and I was thinking about retiring, and I figured an auto warranty might be good money invested. When I purchased the warranty from CarShield, everything went good. I had a transmission that went out on the car and they replaced it. The only thing I couldn’t understand was I had a quote through the dealer that I bought the car from and instead of letting them go ahead and do the transmission, CarShield had to send them one which took a week longer. If they had gone ahead and let the dealer get the transmission, I don’t think it would've cost them any more money. But the dealership gave me a loaner so it didn’t cost me anything. So far, everything is all right.

The initial salesman represented the policy in a manner that was misleading to me. I was led to believe that this covered a lot more than what it actually does. When I started having problems with my transmission, I called them and was advised to have it tested by someone. The thing is, the problem manifests sporadically, so when the representative came to test it, he didn't find anything wrong. I was told that they do not cover it and I would have to wait until it breaks before they do anything. So I could not take my car and take a trip with it and my sons were telling me that this thing can go out at any time.

When it finally broke, my son (a premier auto transmission specialist) told me that the transmission needed to be replaced. I wanted my son to work on it, but CarShield said that they will give me a new transmission, that they don't rebuild and the transmission has to come out of their warehouse. When they sent it, my son said that it wasn't new. I got a transmission that has been cut from a car in a junkyard. There was sand in some of the orifices of this transmission. My son cleaned it up as best he could because they wouldn't be giving me anything else. I fought with them for a week over that. For what it cost them to send that transmission to me, my son could've rebuilt mine. I will not recommend Carshield. I'm very deeply unsatisfied with them.

I always have extended warranty. Anytime I get a car, the warranty that comes from the manufacturer only lasts a year so I needed an extended warranty. When I searched for “auto warranty”, CarShield popped up first so I went with them. It was easy to make payments. I made my payments every single month until I paid it off. Now I’m still covered up until 2017 and when that expires in 2017, I’ll just renew. I already filed a claim twice. The first was for a Jeep Grand Cherokee wherein the transmission went out and they fixed that. The second was for my current vehicle, the Volkswagen Jetta. I filed a claim for the fuel pump and they fixed that too.

It’s expensive to work on a Lexus. I called CarShield and I interviewed them and it sounded like it was good. So far, my experience has been fine. However, there were some things that I thought would be paid for that was not. And it took a while for the place of service to get a hold of them because they need to have something okayed. But it’s fine and it worked out.

The guy from CarShield was very good to work with and making payments for the auto warranty was easy. When the check engine light of my truck came on, I brought it to the Autobot shop to see what was going on with it. The shop looked it over and told me what was wrong. Then we called up somebody in CarShield and talked to them. I asked about what to do and how it works. Then the auto place dealt with the whole thing and they handled it all. I felt great about CarShield's service and it was all worth it.

I have a BMW and having an extended warranty is very valuable to me. I knew that if anything happened, it would have cost me a lot of money if I never had it so I'm glad I took CarShield. It was a good plan. BMW told me they had never had a problem with them. I’ve had it for 3 years and it wasn't hard making payments at all. It was taken direct from my account. Thank God, I have it as I had to file a claim.

I’m an older man and I previously owned cars that had major breakdowns after the warranty period. To manage that in my budget today was tough. So it happened that having an extended warranty worked out on two of my cars. CarShield provided a mailer and I first saw it on that advertisement so I contacted them and purchased a warranty. The payments were a nice monthly payment and they kept it reasonable. Even at the end, they called and took one payment off if I’d pay the three months in advance. I took advantage of that and saved a few dollars.

The representatives were generally very helpful and courteous. I love to read so I actually read the information on the actual contract that I received and that basically answered all my questions. They were also helpful when I filled out a claim but it is a very slow process. I understand they verify everything if it’s major work, but it took over a month from the breakdown to have the car back. It was a long time being down. Still, everyone was professional, honest, and upfront with what was happening.

I couldn't afford the repairs and ended up trading in one of my vehicles because I didn't have an extended warranty. Ever since then, I've bought extended warranty. I found CarShield and purchased about four different warranties with them. The rep worked with me. Payments for the purchase of the warranty was easy. The dealership contacted the customer service team at CarShield when the transmission went out in my truck but it turns out they put a used transmission in and I don't know the mileage on it. I thought that they had put a new one but they fixed my truck and said that they would still warranty it as long as I have my extended warranty.
