I purchased a warranty from Car Shield back on June 26th 2020. After my conversation with the rep went pretty good I felt after he answered all my questions on engine failure, Heads are part of the engine cooling system transmission timing belt ETC. On July 15th 2020 my car was not running right. The temp needle started to rise so I pulled over to cool it down for 20 min. I then went directly over to the Honda Dealer which was less than a mile away. They did a Diagnostic check. They told me my fans were not working correctly that it was.
The electrical heat sensor connection which they denied to pay for also the radiator needed to be replaced as well. Which at first they denied. Then they approved but they would not cover the electric sensor connector which is an electrical part which is covered in my contract. Then they informed me the heads needed to be repaired which they denied and the heads are covered. They are saying that it was caused by the over heating which I disagree on. I spent a easy 15 hours playing phone tag. When I asked for the Adjuster's name and phone number they refused to give it to me. I one of the agents I spoke with insinuated that I was a liar and refused to give me any info. but I spoke with Kyle and the Ayhesia who were pleasant to talk to. All I want is my car repaired so I can move on. My acct **.

Thanks for the review. The repair facility says the head gasket was warped which is caused by over heating. We still need confirmation of a diagnostic to determine this, however. So the claim is still pending

Change of expired card. Asked for assistance to change the card I used to pay my monthly bill. This could not be done using your web site, thus the call. Your people took care of it without any issues. Even though I have not used the service yet, I am anticipating no issues when I do.

I pay 89.99 a month for this coverage. So today I had to use it. I give the coverage number to the clerk and he informs me that my coverage is expired. How did that happen. Why wasn't I sent a current Car Shield card. Do you know how embarrassed I was to hear that my membership was expired. I hope this will never happen again.

We did everything that was asked of upon registering, waited on them to run a Carfax on Our 06 VW Beetle, Only To Find Out after taking the car to a ASE certified shop to get repaired that Now you guys are Saying it has a Salvage Title.?♂️. No it doesn’t and We Proved it by Emailing Copies of Our Original Title. Never received any apologies or Full Refund which was taken Monthly from my Account. Recorded conversation at the time of applying should be on file. Before purchase of the Vehicle a Carfax was done and came back clear. As for the pictures of the Title y’all received Via Email, you can SEE???? It’s Not.??♂️ I Pray That No one else have to experience this False advertising. I have consulted with my Attorney to resolve this Matter.??♂️ We was Misled, Misused, And I feel Discriminated Also. Take My Money Monthly then Deny fixing as Advertised. Please respond!!??

Amazing Customer Service. I have 3 cars all on Gold Accounts. Only had to use it once so far and it was seamless! The AC went out on my wife's Yukon Denali. I only paid the $100.00 deductible to get it fixed! Love these guys!

Picked and chose what parts are covered. Camera is mounted in emblem. Emblem breaks when camera is replaced. Emblem is not covered! Emblem cost $46 and camera cost $99 more than you could buy so I had to pay that. Will be leaving a unhappy customer.

Took forever to get payment confirmation. Multiple phone calls from me and Bergan County Harley Davidson. The shop called me so many times because they couldn't get nowhere calling Carshield. I then reached out multiple times on multiple days still took both me and the shop to reach and when they did confirm payment the shop then had to fax and reach out to a third party with the confirmation number and goes the start if the process over. I got to the point where I just told the shop that I would pay because for minors repairs my bike was in the shop for a full two weeks trying to get a few hundred dollars from carshield.

It is very difficult to connect with Customer Service and sometimes takes a whole day to finally connect. However, once contact is made, the customer service representative is very courteous and helpful. In the future you might consider hiring additional staff to handle what I am told is the high volume of callers causing long delays for communication.

I was satisfied with the way things were handled. I think spouses/significant others should be listed on the contracts. Just waiting for approval so the work can begin and get my vehicle repaired as soon as possible. I will be needing a loaner car while mine vehicle is being repaired. I hope everything is approved and I can have my vehicle repaired.

Car Shield states that they cover older and higher mileage cars but there is a catch that the sales people do not tell you. I have a 2007 Ford Freestyle with the CVT trans and I purchased car shield. Now that being said the sales rep I spoke with stated that with the Silver package this would cover any lubricated parts in the engine or transmission. I bought this car and decided that the warranty would be a good investment. I was wrong.
Now that also being said I have no history on this car. I bought it cheap and used. Had no idea what services were done, how hard the car was driven. Well after having the car a few months the trans went out on it. Only put about 750 mile on it since I bought it. Well I was thinking to myself that I was glad to have purchased the warranty and that I was good to go. I had the car towed down to a shop that I personally used to work at as the head ASE Master Certified mechanic. I am certified and have been for almost 20 years. Well after bringing the car to the shop by tow truck they looked at it with me and after reviewing it on the lift we came to the conclusion that either the CVT belt of gears failed.
Well the shop started the process of a claim. I figured this would be straightforward. I was so wrong. The shop was asked to fax over the tow receipt and several other things. They would call in and be on hold sometimes for over 45 minutes. The shop finally gave up and told me that I needed to come down and pay my bill and get the car because they did not have the time to go back and forth with car shield. So I paid the invoice of $200 out of my own pocket and had to pay again to have it towed to a different shop. This time I towed it to Ford.
Ford wrote up the service order and got the car in to look at it after a few days. They have a trans tech there that has been working for them for over 30 years and he knows these cars inside and out when it comes to the trans. He came to the same conclusion as we did the first time. Either the chain on the CVT broke or the gears it rides on broke. Well we know that is a total failure and that the trans is now junk. After diag and shop time I have a bill of 450 bucks just sitting there with no repairs completed.
Now Car Shield is stating that I have to approve a tear down of the trans so they can decide if they are willing to pay out on the repairs. That would cost $2000 for them to pull the trans and tear it down. Well according to the adjuster that I spoke with at Auto Shield that does the claims for car shield, he stated that until this is done there is nothing else that they can do. Well the problem is here that if they do not cover the repairs I will be out a total of $2200. The adjuster stated that there is about a 70% chance that he repairs would not be covered. So I was lied to over and over.
The sales people just want to make that commission and not go into details with the customers about the coverage. It is a bait and switch! That is against Federal Laws according to my attorney. So all of this being said I am already out $700. I could have just brought this car over to a place that sells and installs used transmissions and had this back on the road for about $500 more. This has been going on for over a month and still it is just a back and forth with Auto Shield/Car Shield. If you have an older and higher millage car your better off either doing the work yourself or find a cheap shop to do the work for you. Do Not Buy Car Shield! They will just leave you with bills and laugh at you!!!! If you have a newer car and 150k or less get an extended warranty from a dealership!!! Works out to be cheaper and you do not have the hassles or deductible you have with car shield... We less stress and calls to make. Car Shield is a joke!!!!

Took my car to the shop on Saturday 7/11/2020. Told them I had an issue. They told me what it was and I told the shop that I had Car Shield. Gave them the contract and phone numbers and the shop called car shield claims and car shield claims told the shop there were denying the claim because my membership was still pending which the shop told me and I ended up paying $827.98 OUT OF POCKET for the repair which I thought car shield would take care of it which they did not do AND really would like to be compensated / reimbursed for it.

Have been waiting 3 days for approval of repairs on my vehicle. Response from claims department lacking. Routed our calls to closed adjuster department, provided little to no information to mechanic shop about process. It is now day 3 without my vehicle which is my source of income and no approval for repair.

I had a policy few couple years ago on my Kia rondo, engine went out Carshield totally replaced it and paid for towing and 4 days of car rental...My wife and I now have carshield coverage on our 2016 Mitsubishi outlander and 2003 Dodge Ram... I referred several people from my job as well as my sister Stefanie and my brother in-law's 2 vehicles..

Worse company and a scam, don't do it. My car was overheating and I was told it the Head Gasket, they refused to fixed, but told me that they fixed Engine, but not head gasket, really. A engine replacement is way more expensive than fixing a head gasket, BTW 2,500 on a BMW X5. Rep was rude as hell, I feel duped into buying coverage. I would not recommend CarShield to anyone.

The headline to this review is quite extreme....That said, head gaskets are not listed for coverage on your policy as outlined in your contract. The repair facility attempted to fix what they though was the issue. If you have issues about the repair itself, please contact the repair facility.

I was getting mail to sign up for the service, when I was already a customer. The agent was able to go into the system, open my account and find the problem. When you have an agent who is knowable of the service and is able to get right to the problem that makes it easy for the customer to get the desired results.

So, ever since I signed up with your company I started bragging about what a great deal I was getting and coverage on my truck. After finding out that my extend warranty expired I knew that I wanted to find a company out there that would give me great coverage at a fair price... So I signed up with you Car Shield out of all the other ones that I looked into but, now a turn of events my daily driver that takes me to work and back to provide money for my family and your warranty is at the dealer waiting on approval from Car Shield to get repaired.
I did receive a call from Car Shield telling me about all the what ifs and made it sound like I was trying to pull one over on them. Well not like I planned this folks just not. I had an extended warranty added when I bought the truck knowing that these newer vehicles just what they use to be growing up. So I got a rental car used it for a week but, returned it because I know it's over the cost now for what Car Shield will reimburse me for and now using a family member's car to get back and forth with putting her now without a vehicle when needed. Carshield was recommended to me by my stepfather who speaks extremely highly of your company. My experience on today was nothing shorter than a total disaster. I had to pay for repairs due to be stranded and not being able to get anyone on the phone from carshield.

Your commercials are misleading. Consumer expected to pay for engine to be disassembled to prove what caused the internal problem. Cylinders are a lubricated part which is suppose to be covered on the policy, however the consumer is responsible to pay an SAE to prove what and how such part is defective costing several hundreds of dollars the consumer is responsible to pay. Monthly premium is expensive and they try every way possible to avoid paying for claims. Waste of money.

In many cases, the repair facility has to determine the part that failed so a diagnostic is common for many repairs. We pay the diagnostic if it turns out to be a covered repair as outlined in your contract. I was told what and how to start a claim. I was not sure of how to get a claim started so I called and it was explained to me how to get started. I called my dealer and they didnt have a problem with it even though they had not dealt with Carshield.

Cadillac CTS 2012 overheated. Gasket damaged. I had called 6/30/20 when my car overheated on the expressway. Tried to call car shield. No answer. Odometer mileage came on so I drove to the dealership. I spoke to Tracy on Fri. 7/3/20 3:45pm. She said she would call Naye @ Heritage. And I could rent a car at Enterprise if I can't get one from the dealership and car shield would reimburse me.
I spoke to Nathan 7/9/20 4:30 pm. Coverage related. He checked with Dave at client relation who stated he would call Naye at Heritage. Naye said he never got a call. Nathan did give me a disc code xz12g45 for my rental car. I called Fri. 7/10/20 12:10 pm. Spoke to Brittany customer service. 12:25 pm spoke to Sophie who transferred me to claim related. 1:20 pm spoke to Leon. He stated that he need a diagnostic and I explained that Naye had held on the phone for several hrs. And I asked Leon if he would call Naye, but he refused. I need my car repaired and this is unacceptable. It will be two weeks Tuesday 7/14. With no results.

We have had a contract with Car Shield since April 2020. When the air unit went out (JULY 90 degree weather) my husband reminded me that we had Car Shield. I called Car Shield and they shared with us the initial procedures...I then called Firestone and arranged to have car taken to them by appointment. I had to make plans to bring the vehicle and eventually had to leave it...I had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic eval as well. Firestone attempted to contact adjuster and my subsequently learning that Auto Shield handles things from that point.
Back and forth calls by me to Car Shield and Firestone. Placed on a queue hold....We learned the next day (quite inconvenient having no vehicle all this time). That next day started by my calling to make arrangements for a rent a car...was told that had to wait until they received a code authorizing a warranty rental....(How disappointing).
I then called Car Shield and was told to call Firestone to have them put request in online. I called Firestone (by this time it is late in the afternoon) and this is when I was told my claim was denied....I called back to Car Shield and wanted to cancel my contract. I felt that maybe the next time I needed help I would be denied and utterly inconvenienced. My husband and I are pastors and have tried to handle this situation diplomatically as you can probably determine from this experience response. Please call me to share further my intent.

The representative who I dealt with was a real gem to talk to. I think her name was Jeana (maybe). She was very upbeat and positive. She answered all my questions and erased all my concerns. Hopefully the issue is being handled. Been waiting three days for authorization to fix the problem with my car. Banister Nissan finally received a call from "power train". As of this message, I believe the Tech is on hold waiting to receive authorization.

Air conditioning. I was very content with my immediate service. I would recommend Carshield to everyone that has a out of warranty car. It was a lot of questions asked that I don't think was necessary, which delayed my service, but with all said and done, it was worth the wait.

They were really nice when I called, she said she would send me another booklet of our contract, the repair shop took it out of the car and didn't put it back in.so we are waiting for her to send it to us, with our contract in for in it. Still have not received it.

Wait time was very unsatisfactory but service once dealing with a rep is very good. They were competent and courteous. There is also a bit of confusion between the insurance carriers that work in conjunction with your company. It seems there is an element of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing.

I asked to be sent paper bills monthly, but decided not to go this route. The rep was very helpful. He explained the reason for automatic payments is that customers may forget to send in the payment and the plan will be canceled, so there will be no coverage when they need service.

First call was great. After that it has been a nightmare. Either contact them or get info on my claim. Still do not know if they are going to pay for anything. It took the shop 2 days to contact them, after that I got a request of past bills. I had to call the shops to get them, email them and no response since then. I called today and after a very long wait got a call back just to never go through to the person Who had more info.

Replace evaporator core and recharged system. We are new clients so we had never used Car Shield before and our car has never had any damage or broken things. The air conditioner was working fine and suddenly it was blowing air but not cold air so I took it to the dealership and the service advisor he didn't know what he was doing. It took a whole week for me to get my car back but it wasn't because car shield didn't do its part but because the service advisor didn't know how to do the claim online and did not send the pictures that were asked of him. Thank you Car Shield for taking care of our issue.

Kind of services expected is not what is reflected in the contract agreement. Customer will expect Carshield assistance to pay first and possibly be billed later. Most especially when you pay on regular basis. Customer Satisfaction is the key here. This is my take at least.

The only problem that I have with Car Shield is that I can't pay online. You are powered by MEPCO. I put this in search bar & get 20 or so MEPCO'S & I can't figure out which one to use. You sent a User Name a Password & I can't get the proper site.

The representative convinced me to keep my membership, after she pointed out some benefits of Car Shield, that were vague to me, before. Every one needs Insurance of repair after the original factory warranty expires. I really wish I don't need it, 'cause my car is in good condition, but to be on the safe side, I really decided and got convinced to keep my membership.

Slow to respond. But like any insurance, it’s only a good value if you have to use it. In my case, it saved me $6000+ on transmission replacement. Car Shield towed the vehicle 2 times. My only issue is response time and lack of communication.

I have been trying to get information on a claim I made and was told on 6/26 that someone would call me on 6/27. No one called. When called the number turns out it was closed Saturdays. I called 6/29 and was placed on hold for 20 min before I was placed in queue in the CS side. The line picked up but no one said anything even after I said "hello, hello". Then the line hung up. I was at work and could not call back again. I have been trying to get a decision on a claim I made.

CarShield adjusters recommend parts that are not correct for my 07' MB R320CDI. Also the time quotes for labor repair are significantly less than the actual time required to properly diagnose, remove failed part and reinstall the warranty approved new part. These deficiencies result in additional expenses above and beyond the required deductible that I am required to pay. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Replacing a cracked radiotor in a Hyundai Elantra 2004. When dealing with the authorization procedure, the person I was speaking with, went to the trouble of telling me that I was being ripped off. I told him, I have been coming to this repair shop for over 10 years, and they have been nothing but good to me, and all they were trying to do was give me a lifetime warranty, which in the long run would have been a lot cheaper for me, because the radiator would have cost me nothing when the plastic radiators crack or go bad. He was rude, and abrupt, and never did say how much Carshield would cover of the lifetime warranty radiator, which I would pay the difference.
The whole experience was quite irritating, since it was my first time, and the whole order would have been easier to understand if this individual would have been nicer. What accepted was a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty radiator, and since I paid the $100 deductible, the whole order cost Carshield only $210.92! Being the first time I used it, it was not a good representation of what I have seen on your T.V. ads!!

My car was suppose to be fixed on the 24. It was was a covered part. My repair person Brian ** from Burns Auto spent 1 hour trying to get it oked by person who gives go ahead. WELL THEY NEVER CALLED HIM BACK SO I COULD NOT GET IT FIXED until the next day 'cause they never called him back with the ok. Not fair. I had to go without my car for 2 days 'cause of you all. You owe us and our repair man a big apology. This was uncalled for. Very upset how this was handled. The person who handled this should be told how to do their job.

I was told it covered my engine. And other major part but when I move forward to deal ship they said it was only covered inside of engine cost 4800$. Customer service did not explain the whole detail. And I had pay for the deductible $. I think it a RIP off..don't pay electric parts. I want my money back so I can start looking for another warranty. From now on I will read between lines. Whoever heard you only cover inside of engine. All cars are made now with electric part and should be covered. So very disappoint. If they not going help me getting my car fix I need my refund back so I can get fix.

Made sure I would be covered for the hourly rate. The GMC dealership was going to charge of $130 an hour plus diagnostics. I was advised, with the coverage I bought, the policy would cover whatever the dealership charged.. The agent was fast and more than willing to help me get my answer.

I have a 1999 BMW 323I with only 107,000 miles and 5 days ago my Water Pump started leaking. So I took to my auto Mechanic and he said I needed a water pump. He tried calling in my claim to Car Shield and he called me back and said you need to call Claims because I dont have time to stay on the phone for 45 min. with other customers. I went to the shop today and called claims myself. It took 20min. for them to answer and when I handed the mechanic the phone it took 40 min. for them to approve the Water Pump. They then still left me with a bill of 240.00 that I have to pay. The shop does not want to fix anything else for me as long as I have that Warranty.

We offer online claim submissions which could help when the admin is experiencing high call volumes. Rebate of coverage. I called and asked if Carshield had a program to help customers like me that are home and not using his car. The customer representative told me that yes, I can skip May payment and continue payment on June while car coverage will be the same. Now I found out that representative misrepresent the CarShield company and I owed them for two months. So there was no help while we're in house and not using the car.

When I tried to cancel my policy the lady was very rude, very unprofessional and didn't submit it and they still tried to bill me for it after I cancelled it 30 days prior to the new billing cycle and also I had to call several times to get the same situation resolved.

Shelonda was excellent. Every question I had she answered promptly and courteously. CarShield cannot ask for a better representative to their company. I would highly recommend CarShield based solely on her ability to make me feel comfortable, knowledgeable and taken care of. I have not used CarShield for a claims before but this process was made incredibly easy and I feel much more comfortable if I have to go through this process in the future.

I began thinking about how old our vehicle is and how we aren’t getting any younger and what would I do if my car stopped on us away from home. I began seeing couples talking about the same thing on TV and saying what they were doing and how pleased they were with a company called CARSHIELD. Car was having transmission issues and the check engine light was on. Was able to get my transmission replaced and that check engine light, well it was a bad fuel pump that needed to be replaced, with CarShield I got everything taken car of.

Transmission and rear end. I was refused service at my first choice mechanic (Heritage Nissan) But customer found me a mechanic that agreed to fix my car (University Dodge Chrysler). Now I am required to wait until Monday to see if they will honor the part of the contract about the loaner car.

Nevada Donald. Well if you use a Chevolet you already it's not worth ** and the coverage doesn't cover much... Still had to pay 700 dollars for repair, very dissatisfied.. Could have just stayed with Protect My Car where I received much better service and more coverage.. So I will not be recommending to anyone unless you not looking for much of coverage..

I have been waiting to get my car fix. Because of misunderstanding with my miles I have been in a renter car for two weeks now and they only pay for two days which no ok one told me that they told my husband. No one never called me to tell me I needed receipts for my oil changes. I had to call to figure that out. I explained that I do not hold in to receipts so I would not have them. They then told me I had to go to Walmart to get a receipt. Walmart told me if it was a month ago They would not have that info. It's like my car is stranded. I have to take my son to work and I have to work. When I take this renter car back I will not have my own car. These people do not communicate with me at all. I will not recommend this place to any one. I have had bad experiences with this place since day one. It's horrible.

Charged me $109.00 a month and when the car started consuming oil and took it to the dealer Car Shield said that's normal for cars over 90,000, but could not verify that information with the Chevrolet manufacturer. Then when the transmission cable broke and took it back to the dealer, the deal said Car Shield took forever to get back with them and when they did they said they don't cover that. They also don't cover anything electrical with the transmission either. Why am I paying them $109 a month for basically no warranty. When I called to cancel the contract the customer service rep. told me they have to charge a $75 cancellation fee. I told her your company is a scam and I will dispute and further charges with my bank. The lesson here is always get the warranty through the car dealer instead. I will never use Car Shield. They are only after your money, their warranty service is next to worthless and definitely not worth $109. 00 a month.

According to the technical service bulletin from General Motors, you're experience normal levels of oil consumption for your vehicle.For your most recent claim, it was placed on 6/19 and we told the repair facility the same day that the shifter cable is a part not listed for your policy. Your policy does cover many other components, but not that one.
Lastly, we only have a cancellation fee if you wish to cancel the same day. Since we have monthly plans, if you do not pay your next bill your plan is cancelled.

Thank God no more worries and customer service is fantastic, with the new computer tech these days you never know what could happen and leave you stranded. It is going on 2 weeks and I still didn’t receive any information regarding my car repair. I have called the dealership and Car Shield Claims Adjuster and still no assistance. Customer service representative was not helpful AT ALL. CarShield only cares about customer service when they are trying to sell you the coverage and afterwards you get no assistance.

When I went to my appointment at the Brunswick Chrysler Dodge they didn't have a appointment time for me and I would have to wait for them to put. They said that when call CarShield phone number that they get no answer and that you don't like paying for services required to fix my Dodge Journey 2014. So I am not satisfied with what I am hearing.

Took car in on Wednesday. Carshield wanted to send an investigator the following day. The investigator finally showed late Friday. Carshield was to send parts Monday but they showed up Tuesday. The car is repaired but I don't have it because Carshield has not paid their portion. Next time I want a rental. May be cost of a car would motive your company.

My window is off-track. The motor is good but dealership is saying is like the frame of the window is bad. Updated on 07/24/2020: So I submitted a claim on 6/10/20 for repair of my vehicle's A/C condenser. My repair facility has been in contact with the adjuster who was attached to my claim but they were disconnected. She (repair facility) tried to call back to reach them and was on hold for over 30 minutes. She reached out to me and I tried to call as well and I was on hold for literally 2 hours and 15 minutes. Now I will say I have been able to speak to customer service who stated they cannot give me the adjuster's info as they are with American Auto Shield. I was told my repair facility just has to call back and they will be forwarded to the adjuster. Problem is, they are busy and have other customers so the repair shop cannot sit on hold for long periods of time. I don't see why the adjuster can't just call the repair shop considering they have their info.
I have not been contacted about anything regarding my claim and it's been over a month. I have been paying my monthly membership but have yet to receive service. Unacceptable. There should be some form of follow up with the customer considering I am the one paying for a service. There have been 90-100 degree days as of late and I am riding around with no A/C in my vehicle for over a month. Highly upsetting and I need my vehicle repaired.
Original Review: I submitted a claim back on 6/10/20 and I have yet to hear anything from anyone about my claim. I've spoken with Carshield's customer service who informed me my claim was accepted by an adjuster but there was no way to contact the adjuster about the progress. Refund for warranty never used. First of all I'm disabled, and on a fixed income. I first put 99.99 down on the 2007 Rendezvous on 2-25-20 in the amount of 99.99, my car had 131860 miles on it, so on March 2,2020 I decided to pay an additional 1139.88 till May 2, 2021 and when I took it to the mechanic he said he would to even touch the car, because it was completely rusted through and unsafe to drive, when I got the car to the junk yard on June 11th, 2020 I had 132137 miles on it, they gave me 400.00 for the car. When I called Car Shield on a refund they said they would only give me back 904.91, and that was on June 11th 2020, so I would say they owe me and additional 334.96, when I asked the Car Shield rep about what was being done with the other money she said that she could not give me an answer, so CAR SHIELD is pocketing the 334.96, in my opinion only that is stealing! I had only put 277 miles on the car.
I would not recommend anybody to buy any kind of warranty from CAR SHIELD, yes they do a lot of advertising on TV but that's about it, don't make a mistake of paying CAR SHIELD money cause you won't get it back, I would give them lower than an F rating, if I could. CAR SHIELD said they hated to lose me as a customer and would be there in the future if I needed another warranty, they are something else, this is my opinion only. Read the other bad reviews about CAR SHIELD, some of the other reviews say that CAR SHIELD goes out of their way not to pay for a claim, I say that CAR SHIELD goes out of their way not to give a full refund on a warranty that will never be used, it's bad enough that I'm without a car now, and CAR SHIELD keeping money that's not theirs!
I made a bad mistake going through CAR SHIELD, don't make the same Mistake that I made, cause if you pay up money and have to junk your car be certain that Car Shield will keep your money and only give you a pro rated refund, so of the 1239.87 that I paid Car Shield, I will only get back 904.91, and Car Shield will pocket the other 334.96, what would you call that? Do the math, and they are walking away with my money and not even giving it a second thought, think about that.

I do not recommend this coverage. They would not cover anything when my car had issues. Waste of money and bad transaction. Even though my engine repairs would suppose to be covered, they weaseled around it. I would definitely look elsewhere for coverage.

Please tell the representative that first I spoke to & claimed that he couldn't find me in his database (no ** in New York) his exact words. He wouldn't even give me a chance to speak. I know he wasn't even looking cause I could hear the background noise which sounded like he was in the bathroom or the kitchen. If he had simply asked me to hold a sec instead of lying. This is the second review I have submitted regarding the above listed claim and again state that Car Shield customer service is extremely poor. On 06/09/2020 I cancelled my contract and received an email stating no additional charges would be made to my bank account. The following day I reviewed my account and discovered that a charge had been made on 06/09/2020, the same day I was advised there would be no additional charges. A call to customer service resulted in 46 minutes on hold only to be disconnected. The second call finally reached a young lady in customer service who advised the charge had been made prior to the cancellation. I asked how a charge could be made on the same day I cancelled and had received an email stating no additional charges.
The answer was vague and when I asked for a refund I was told she would have to check with her supervisor and asked for my phone number so that she could call me back...No call received! I have to say that my experience with Car Shield revealed that customer service is merely a name and not a place where customers can go with concerns. I would strongly suggest that anyone looking at purchasing extended warranty coverage on their vehicle should not consider Car Shield and look instead for an insurer that listens to customer concerns and provides timely assistance.

When I have called a few times I had to wait a long time to get anyone. Additionally when the Hyundai representative the Service Manager called they had to wait 45 minutes let me repeat 45 minutes to talk to someone to find out if they will approve or not my repair.

CarShield didn’t pay for any of my repairs and they keep stalling on my tow charge by needing to “review my address”. CarShield has my address. So they call me from a “private” phone number and asked me to call back but didn’t leave a call back number. So when I just called the customer service number they had to refer me to another number. They can keep the $120.00 for the tow. They probably weren’t going to cover the tow bill anyway. All in all my repair cost $1750.00 and CarShield paid not one penny. WHO DOES THAT? LOL.

It looks like you needed a repair to your stearing gear, and this is a part not listed for coverage. I was going to cancel coverage, representative lowered my payment through June. Hoping it stays as is at present time. I am not working due to covid-19 and cannot afford the increase or even the original amount at the time of purchase. I did not understand the increase payment to begin with.

False advertising. The firm does not honor its agreement. I had to pay out of pocket on a auto repair, that I was lead to believe I was covered by CarShield. To me in my experience is nothing more than a Fraud.

Talked to Customer Representative about receiving proof of my car coverage. Was advised I would receive a copy of car contract via email. Have not received any correspondence from CarShield verifying car coverage on my 2015 Hyundai Sonata, 4dr Sport vehicle. Was treated very nicely by Customer Service Rept.

Specifically called multiple times and asked would the regulator on the window be covered before I wasted my time in using my off day to go to get a diagnostic. When we get to the shop. I had the shop to call you all to get the claim started. Well your claim department told them only the motor for the windows will be covered. Which was a waste of my time and plus you all have several reps that LIED TO ME. I should have believed the reviews instead of wasting my money. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

The sales person via phone was less than honest. He got my payment before he told me I had to wait for 500 miles before I received coverage, And the only thing it covered was the engine and transmission, period.

In Mach, I purchased a 2009 Subaru used car. Recently, every time I fill up the gas tank, for approximately 5 days, smell gas. The odor then goes away. I took my car to my repair shop to find out why this is happening and was told that I needed a New gas tank and gas lines and this repair would cost me over $1400.00 to fix! I about passed out. I said to them I have Car Shield only to find out this WAS NOT covered. A major car bill that I cannot afford on my fixed income! I am very, very upset.

Had my car serviced with ease. No problems so far. Would recommend and have told all my friends. Cheaper than renewing factory insurance. Had not one problem when car. Was fixed just paid deductible. When I call they tell me what to expect and any questions they answer with ease. Love that I dont have to contact them the dealership does everything for you.

The advertisement on Car Shield is good but it doesn't tell you that you have to have a pre-repair item faxed over to your company and the music and voice mail are very long and does not send your phone call to where you leave your name and phone number but just plays the same music over and over and then, the people you talk to tells what is needed and then, the next person tells you that you are not covered because of not faxing the pre-repair work that needs to be done!!!!

Happy Customer. My experience has only been with customer service adding my two vehicles. But Customer service was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly which goes a long way with me. Replacement of a faulty VTC Actuator. Horrific Lack of Service for 4 days despite repeated calls and cutoffs! Extremely thankful to finally connect with Diana in Cust. Serv. who was able to connect me to Wes as a knowledgeable Claims Adjuster and was able to receive service. Without the actions of these two - CarShield would have been cancelled!! Would never recommend if not the turnaround by these two individuals! Kudos!!! Restored faith in your company and service.

I had some unexpected issues and Carshield was a lifesaver. I took my car in for oil change and mention I was driving from Las Vegas to denver and they did a complete check and found a couple things I would have never thought of. I have a good Experience. The only thing is when I make a claims it took me almost 1 1/2hrs to get to somebody For making the claims but everything else was Absolutely satisfied with the service. I'm very disappointed with my lasted experience. I got 2 policies with Car Shield. When I got the car it had around 141,000 then I got a called saying I need to correct the mileage. I called back with correct mileage then they called me back saying they has around 166,00. I couldn't put 20,000 miles in a week maybe in a a few months cause I do use the car a lot and travel Frequently. Then they called and got it correct After me getting the inspection the day after I bought the policy. So I'm on the fence and nervous if due to Miscommunication and carshield error will it affect my coverage.

They said my part was gonna reach the shop in two business days. They still have not even gotta the confirmation number. Today is Tuesday. I need my car by Friday. It takes 9 hours to put this part. This after American Car Shield told they found a better part when they have just paid AAMCO the money. I would have my car today but they found someone cheaper and I’m still waiting on my SUV. This is not good. You have slowed down my process 'cause you're trying to save money. That’s not right to a customer.
