    Respect the promise from my contract #: **, approve my claim! The denial of my claim is subjective and it is not based on the contract. The adjuster was using his technical interpretations to deny the claim instead to respect the contract as was written because my part which failed was part of the contract but the denial was not part of exclusion.

    Updated on 01/14/2021: I am extremely disappointed in CarShield. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and will in fact tell people not to go with your company. I've heard from a couple of dealerships how terrible your service was and know I've experienced it. I have your top service product and it took weeks to hear back from you if you would fix my Yukon. Only to find out you wouldn't cover my transmission issues. Very unsatisfied and a major waste of money. I paid for your warranty and still had to pay out of pocket for repairs on my 2017 Yukon.

    Original: I am very disappointed in the actual service I’ve paid for. When I call the customer service person they are very nice but nothing gets done. I have the top tier plan and my Denali is sitting in the shop for two weeks with a broken transmission. No offer to get a rental car and no response from the adjuster. The dealership says the Carshield doesn’t often pay for repairs. They have stopped taking your warranty because of these situations. I would not recommend Carshield to anyone.

    My experience has been nothing but unpleasant in every aspect. I've had have two claims, in which parts was supposed to been covered and I ended up paying out of pocket. My mechanic received the ok on the work, and was told what was covered and still I ended up paying out of pocket. It seemed that I could never get a direct answer to my question, when speaking with a representative. That's until I spoke with Nathan on reimbursement. I emailed Car Shield my invoices on the 22nd of December and still haven't heard heard back. Very disappointed! Nothing as advertised... I've been transfer from one department to another, from one representative to another and accomplish nothing. Kudos to you Nathan, and thank you for being the only one who truly helped me.

    I purchased a car July. I been seeing the commercials so I decided to sign up. I answer all the questions about my car even the one when they ask about the title. My car was salvage. Still they dropped me when I took my car to the dealership and today 12/25/2020 I owe almost 500 dollars to the dealer just for them to look at my car.     The Electronic Throttle Control went on my car. I called CarShield and asked if it was covered. After a few put on holds, I was told it was. So I had my mechanic fix it. When I submitted the paperwork it was denied. I called and was transferred to the next company that processes my claims. They said that my part was not covered as per the contract. I could not find it. I am extremely disappointed!!. It cost me $ 600. This is something that is like saying your trans is not covered. Starting to second guess CarShield!

    On 12/21/2020 at 6 pm I was in Brooklyn 11229 zip code, parking my car started to send a “check coolant level” message, I checked the coolant pump (after the car cool off) and I noticed the pump was empty. I tried to fill it up and the liquid spell on the floor. Then I called CarShield and spoke with CarShield’s emergency representative, she asked me for the location of the car and where I want to take it to?

    The car was at 11229 zip code and the mechanic’s zip code I choose to go to (4 blocks away from the Mercedes Benz maintenance service) is 11101 zip code, after she asked me the addresses she gave me the “News”: first that her system calculated 25 miles (which is absolutely ridiculous) cause the shortest distance is 13 miles (local route) and the longest 24 miles(making the whole Brooklyn and Queens round). Also by regulation the a tow truck can not take my car by highway or parkways. Second and more important, CarShield does not cover tow truck service for more than $125 and my 25 miles(wrong system, wrong calculation) quote was for $425 or the cheapest $375, although I have to pay $300 or $250 out of my packet or call another company on my convenience.

    I took the cheapest one and the driver took the local route, and charged me $255 cash only (no even the $250) + taxes. Then today I’m waiting for the mechanic tell the diagnostic to CarShield to see if they going to approve the work. I’ll be updating my review to let you know how is going!

    CarShield should provide a list of automotive companies that accept CarShield. It's very frustrating looking for a good mechanic shop that accept car shield and does good quality work. My car has literally been in the shop 3 and a half months. Everytime I call them it's a new excuse to keep my car one more week. Because it's hard to find shops that work on Jag's I keep dealing with this same company. FRUSTRATED. Because of my limited income I can not afford to get a rental car. Then again the rental contract would have expired a long time ago. I understand that it take time to work on a car but 3 and a half months sounds a little ridiculous.

    I took my vehicle in, because the heater wasn't working correctly. The dealer said it was part of the switch, and possibly the blower motor. CarShield said the switch wasn't covered, and the switch must have damaged the blower motor. They said that if a non covered part damages a covered part, then none of it is covered. Why would the heater/ac system be covered, but not the switch that turns it on? It's just another "loop hole" for them to slip through. What ever happened to doing good business and being a STAND UP company?

    I would like to give a better review but unfortunately I have nothing good to say about my experience with Car Shield. The plan that I had covered the cooling system but when it came time to replace components in the cooling system, barely anything was covered. I needed the fan clutch and the thermostats replaced and they said they don’t cover those parts but they do cover others. If you’re going to cover a system I would highly recommend just stating exactly what is covered instead of being broad on the coverage then deciding later. The shop that I went to even told me that they have never had a claim go through for the customers and that they recommend to cancel it..

It took CarShield 2 weeks to send a letter for the dealership to fill out. The dealership sent it immediately back (we have email documentation) to this day which is December 2020 we still have NOT heard from CarShield except to find out where the new payment for the contract was? I cancelled the contract back in October due to the VERY poor service. NO it isn't due to the COVID-19 epidemic.     If you have a motor that's leaking oil and it causes catastrophic failure that's $6,000 motor not counting the labor but you guys don't cover gaskets or seals and gaskets and seals is what keeps the motor, the transmission and their rear end working properly. You guys should be covering your assets and cover your assets you should replace seals and gaskets. It don't make sense to me. It's not cover seals and gaskets on your assets of a very expensive parts to replace when you could have had the gaskets and seals done very cheaply.

    Let's keep it short: Car Shield promises to provide you a level of comfort, should your car break down, that they will be there to take care of everything for you and get you restored with little hassle. Well, my truck isn't fixed and it's been nothing but hassle from the moment my mechanic filed the claim. I am using a trusted mechanic in business for 30 years that this company's claims representatives don't trust. My mechanic told them exactly what needed to be repaired on a broken AC compressor and they asked that each and every component be opened to prove their claims. This added layer of work would not be compensated, BTW.

    The company then required an inspector to come out, which is fine, but even if he verified everything the mechanic said we would have to wait up to a week for the cheaper parts my mechanic says is unsafe. All of this added drama is so far extending my repair by up to a week and your contract only gives you 4 days of a rental (Of course).

    The cherry on top is that the customer service reps for the insurance company through CarShield are awful. They openly admit they know absolutely nothing about cars and one guy even asked me: "What do you want me to do about it?" Well, nothing I guess, because after this repair I am dropping this company and putting my payment into a savings account. CarShield might save some money on a repair one day, but they are going to put you through the wringer to get the job done and your mechanic is going to hate you!!!

    Car Shield is a Fraud company, I put in a claim on my BMW 2014 X1 after I had a oil change and the company saw a gasket leak. They gave me the service amount and the print out and ask me if I had extended warranty. I said yes car shield. THEY LAUGHED in a very snickering way and then said good luck with this claim. CAR SHIELD do not like to pay!. I chose to listen but ignore the service department person. I called car shield and told them about my situation. They said have BMW call them and they will take it from there. And here we go the madness begins. BMW called Car Shield, told them about the oil leak and the ordered a crank pressure test. Neither BMW or CAR SHIELD call me or contacted me about updates on whats going on, this is day 3.

    I call BMW and ask them what's going on, all this time I thought they were fixing my car. GO FIGURE! BMW said to me that they sent them the test and then they wanted another test. Test after test, And guess who had to pay for these test. Me! $600 the car shield said if they don't approve the claim I would be responsible for the test cost. Day 6 no car no resolution in sight. I getting so angry now because Covid closed down my salon and I was using my car to do delivery and God knows a day missed is a day broke. Day eight after going back and forth with both companies each day all day car shield never gave in, they denied the claim saying that the test was inconclusive and they need more test. BMW was saying to me that there is no more test that can be done that would show them why the gaskets were leaking. THEY JUST WORE OUT! This is what BMW told me.

    I call car shield and ask them why did they deny the claim and they said to me the crank pressure test was not completed and they wont pay for the test because the claim was denied. Day 9 I got to BMW and pick up my car of course I was very angry. It cost me $600. I got nothing done, the same problem exists and CAR SHIELD ask my why did I drop the policy. Are you kidding me? Pay another month for what. I noticed that all the five star reviews that I have read not one of them said that they had any service done to the car. They only thank them for good customer service. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

    Water pump was leaking, replaced ram 1500 5.7, slt outdoorsman, water pump, including gaskets for installation. This problem with the water pump was found when the tow truck driver who arrived at our residence to tow our vehicle to a reputable repair shop in Las Vegas Nevada which is 48 miles form our residence. After arrival; of our vehicle at the shop, it was confirmed that our water pump was indeed leaking antifreeze. After the shop fixed the fuse problem with the replacement of the tipm fuse box our water pump was replaced and we were able to get our truck back.

    Our cooling system was properly pressure checked after said water pump replacement, and all repairs were finalized.     If I could give a -0 stars I would. The only thing this company is good for is to take your monthly payment. Customer service will not work with you. The only thing they are trained to do is give you as much attitude as possible and transfer you so that the next rep can do the same thing. I have over 3 million followers on my Youtube channel and I will tell my horror story on there.

    I need a new transmission for my vehicle. Everything they have asked me to do including changing the Carfax I have done for them. Now Carshield is refusing to pay because they do not want to pay more than $2800 for a transmission. It does not say this in my contract that they will only pay a certain amount. Trying to talk to Carshield is impossible. They will only transfer you to voicemail which NO ONE will return your call back. Since Carshield went back on their part of the contract I asked to get my money back and they will not do that either. RIP OFF>>RIP OFF>>>RIP OFF.

    I purchased a warranty for my wife's car last evening while she was out driving. I was asked the mileage on the car and told him it was about 113, 250 miles. He said the computer would not take a round number and he would put down 113, 248 and my price would be $115.54 and I agreed, and purchased the warranty based on the price.. He told me to call back with the actual mileage this morning and it was actually 113, 658. When I called with the mileage I was told he wrote down 13,248 and because it was 100,000 more miles I now had to pay $142.04. I don't know if I would have paid that and feel like ti was bait and switch. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say it was an error, but I am not happy about it and will continue the warranty for a few months to see how it works out. I am disabled and retired and $25+ is a lot of money to me but I will try it out.

    I paid for the extended warranty on my 2011 Chevy Cruze for 2 months before I needed any assistance from it. My car ran hot one day with NO WARNING at all. I did not know what the problem was because I never had a problem with the car. I immediately drive me and my toddler child back home and call Car Shield for a tow truck. Get the car to a shop he checks it out and says there is motor damage because it ran hot. It ran hot because water pump went out. There was a recall on the water pump for that model car I was unaware of.

    So I think I'm covered by Car Shield. They make me and the shop owner wait 2 weeks before giving us an answer on ice they would cover it or not because their system is down. And then refused to fix it because the car ran hot! WHAT!? How else would I have known the car was having trouble ? It never gave me any other sign! Not to mention I was told I would be reimbursed for the rental car I had for 2 weeks but DIDNT! Worse purchase I ever made. I will never recommend them to anyone! If I could I would give them 0 stars. Total waste of time and money!

    I will advise all who inquire that the Car Shield contract provision for drivetrain teardown should be considered carefully prior to the onset of the agreement. The cost of a teardown is prohibitive when the replacement of a bearing or something similar is the only responsibility CarShield will address. When such an instance occurs, the owner is burdened by thousands in R&R costs while CarShield remains liable for virtually nothing.     I had CarShield with a monthly payment of $109 & was told I only had a $200 ded and they would take care of the remaining balance. The hose in my car needed to be changed and repaired which was covered under my contract. Carshield told me before the mechanic starts working on my car a claim needs to be submitted and the mechanic did that. My total to fix the hose was about $924.98 and Carshield only covered $100 and I had to pay $824.98 out of pocket! I was really upset 'cause I had already paid 5 monthly payment of $545! I could've save that money and put that towards the balance! This company is immoral! Now you have Carshield paying famous people to market for them and they can't even promise what was told. A lot of people work hard for their money and it isn't right to scam hardworking people! I hope this company goes out of business!

    CarShield officially sucks ass. I highly recommend for others, not to get it. Unless you want to pay out of your own pocket, a good portion of the costs and be out of a vehicle for weeks on end. I have the Diamond Package and was told the majority of everything was covered, like a Bumper to Bumper warranty, and only the regular maintenance items (like oil change, flushes, etc) wouldn't be covered. The pamphlet even shows all these things covered. I guess the fine fine fine print, shows all the things NOT covered, because I didn't see that part for this plan.

    Come to find out, after my vehicle being in the shop for almost 3 weeks, they only covered the part and labor of what needed replacing but the fluid, gaskets and other needed items for that replacement were on me. And, even though they say they cover car rental, they base it on labor hours, so after having a rental for 7 days, they only covered 1 day of that.

    And don't get me started on their customer service. That was a nightmare. Their agent never answered my call and rarely returned my voice mail messages. And even though they dealt directly with the dealership, they took forever to get in touch. My car sat a whole week at the dealership before anything was even began to be discussed on fixing it. Then, it took forever for them to decide what needed to be done. And then they required an inspection of what needed to be done, making it take 5 more days for an inspector to get out and inspect. Then another 3 days to approve and finalize it. NIGHTMARE! DO NOT GET CarShield.
