Excellent tow service as I had to have my truck towed to the dealer from my garage. Dealer was very helpful. The tow truck driver very experienced and knowledgeable and did an excellent job getting me and my truck to where we had to go, got it in a very tight lot at the dealer.

Asked about a letter I received. Was handled in a very short time. Was a mistake no problem. The resolution was quick and easy. The person who answered resolved it in minutes. She was courteous and knew the details within seconds.

Have contacted Car Shield twice now asking for a hard copy of actual contract to be sent to our home address. So far nothing has arrived. Tho' must say, each of the reps I've spoken to were very accommodating, and nice. Now still waiting for the contract, seeing I just spent $2600.00 up front for the service for the next 2 yrs. R.L.

For the short time I had a good experience and I would definitely recommend my friends and family to sign up with CarShield. They was willing to fix my car after 20 days of coverage and to me that is good business. Thank you car Shield. Nathan, added more Brightness to my New Year, by talking to his supervisor regarding my question about senior citizens discount, as a result, he gave me both a covid relief discount, and a senior citizen discount, which brought my Gold Package from $109.99 to $79.99 per month, saving me $30.00. My Dec. 2020 payment which was put on my Discover card, (auto-pay), was not correctly recorded on you folks records and I kept receiving letters and e-mails reference to it being late---BUT---- I hope it is now solved.. If not I will be forced to end my account with CarShield!!!!

Just needed to know what the process was to getting my vehicle fixed. Glad I called because thought I could take it to any shop, but I see that's not the case. Called my 5th shop and have not had luck finding a vendor that accepts the CarShield plan.

Basically a lifesaver. If we didn't have CarShield we wouldn't have been able to have our car repaired due to the cost. The dealership was great to work with car shield to satisfy our claim. I was still able to go to work because they also helped with a rental.

I was told that my car needed a transmission and the process was almost complete so that I can get my vehicle repaired and then I get a cancelation in the middle of a contract because I had a car 4 years with no problems and I don't know the previous history. I am contacting corporate and the business bureau. This is totally unacceptable. Ms ** is sick fighting for her life and y'all do this, it's so sad.

Your warranty is a scam. I bought this warranty and when I needed work on my vehicle everything the sales person told me was lies. No one mentioned that a lift to NY Jeep would result in a denial to repair.

Brook was very helpful. She answered my questions about a repair on my car. I'm all set to go. I choose my car dealer shop Hyundai Winter Haven, Fl. My driver's side window would not go down or up. It has a small space above that I'm afraid rain will come in. And my passenger side right door at the back will not open at all, either from inside or outside.

The young lady who first spoke with me was very professional and helpful. However, I must say that getting to the claim department on you the phone tree system was not easy. She directed me to tell the mechanic to call claims. He indicated that Car Shield did not cover my claim (front lower control arm bushings). I am disappointed.

Am very disappointed in coverage with Car Shield. Anticipated when I purchased the Warranty it cost too much and not able to pay too much longer. OK my suggestions are you going to get me a different price for being honest? Would be wonderful if you did this suggestion.

The program will be misrepresented to you. When you need to use American CarShield they will have an exclusion clause to get around paying for the repairs you need done on your car. This is ONE BIG RIP OFF.

It was quick and easy to sign up and reasonably priced. It will take me a while to reach the 500 miles before I will be able to use it. Hopefully, not before then. My husband had it on his older car but couldn't use it because it was struts costing over $1,000 wouldn't be covered. We used that money to buy a new car.

My experience with Car Shield has been great, and goes without complaint. It is difficult finding a Dealer that will accept Car Shield because they say Car Shield was slow in refunding their money. I wish Car Shield would get their repayment department on board so that I can get service at any Nissan Dealership I patronize.

I called to inquire about adding a contract on a 2nd vehicle. The person in the sales department was very helpful and made me aware that I could get a multi-vehicle discount. This was a great discount and actually lowered the cost on both vehicles. I am very happy with the service and the price! It’s a good deal.

I have had Carshield since May 2019. I have had to utilize their services 3 times in the past 21 months for repair work on my car. It has been an absolute nightmare every time. It takes weeks to get them to approve the repair that is clearly covered in the contract. I have had to rent a car for over 2 weeks. They offer car rental reimbursement on repairs that take over 4 hours. However if it takes them 2 weeks to authorize the repair that only takes 2 hours they don't reimburse you for it. They argue what parts they cover, refuse to cover ones clearly listed until you fight with them, then refuse to cover the necessary labor to replace the part.
Calling customer service is pointless. The most recent resolution we were given was to cancel the contract. That was after talking to 5 different people and getting completely different amounts and information from each. The repair shops have expressed how hard it is to deal with them also. I have paid out more in rental cars, monthly dues and sheer frustration than I would if I just paid for the repair to a dealership directly. Avoid Carshield!!

I called to update my payment method and wanted to change it to my checking account instead of using my card. The lady was extremely helpful to me and I got what I wanted. I used CarShield once to fix my air conditioner and my transmission. They fixed both and I only had to pay the deductible.

Very disappointed with the whole experience. However, all personnel I dealt with, both CarShield and Christian Brothers were courteous and polite, so I will not muddy their personal performance based on the overall performance of the company and coverage. I feel the coverage is a scam. Apparently, nothing is covered unless it is "catastrophic". And, that probably has some pretty big loopholes as well. It seems like this is a process designed to conjure up business for the approved repair shops.
A diagnostic was run (which takes about 10 minutes tops) and the issue was "not covered" - then the mechanic started looking for anything and everything that "might" go wrong or "could" break or "maybe" wasn't done previously and an estimate of "suggested" repairs, maintenance, and services was submitted to the tune of approximately $5000 (and of course, none of those were covered either.). My husband ran this list of suggested items past a couple of parts houses and mechanics and found that minus the numerous issues that didn't exist or had already been done, the cost for all possible repairs/maintenance/service was less than $1500. But, Car Shield would rather pay for something "catastrophic" or not at all.... In addition, I have now received 3 survey requests, but not one actual in person contact. We would like a refund for the remainder of this policy.

All your commercials say only pay $100 for any repair but I have to pay $309 for my repair. This is not what I signed up for. My husband and I are on a fixed income and even coming up with that is hard. So we purchased CarShield. Little did we know that it wasn't true.

Steering Assist light came on, so we called the dealership. They said CarShield pays too slow, we'd have to pay upfront and get reimbursed. Called another shop, they said they don't accept CarShield, try BrakeMax. Called BrakeMax, they said to call CarShield and make sure we don't HAVE to go to the dealership. Called the number on the CarShield letter, got transferred to American Auto Shield, they said we had the wrong contract number and to ask CarShield for a provider list. CarShield said there IS no list, ask around. Ron finally helped us sort things out!

My payments method has changed. The representative was on point in getting my change done. I went thru fraud with my account at my bank and the representative was alert to take down all of my changes. I could not log in because of technically. I am not there yet.

Correcting mileage number on contract. I needed my husband to return home, so I could get the mileage off of his car, and give Car Shield the proper information. Once that was done, the paperwork on our contract was in perfect order. Tori and I also spoke about fake (fishing) emails, I do get concerned when the email address, is not from a Car Shield email.

Your policy is not clear and will not pay out on an electrical item that clearly should be covered. I have electrical damage by the alternator and it did damage to the computer and you all will not cover the part.

I called when my car would not start at a gas station. They told me that I had roadside assistance. Someone offered to jump the battery on my car and so I was able to make it home to get a new battery. It was comforting to know that I could have had someone assist me if needed in that situation. Car was damaged by Chevrolet during repair. Car Shield doesn't cover the damages. Was seeking help with problems with Chevrolet. Car shield has no obligation to cover or help with damages. However representative was very helpful and courteous during the process. I have been helped by car shield in the past and I am happy with the past service I was given.

Your financial institution MEPCO is a very hard website to contact someone plus MEPCO welcome letter listed for me to establish an account with them to monitor my account payments does not work--user ID and Password. Try several times on my own and with representatives--did not work.

I have one auto. I made appt with Jeep dealer early Dec ‘20. It was for 12-28-20. I rented Hertz 12-26-20. I returned car 01-14-21 when my Jeep was ready. Hertz bill was $520.80. You paid me $20.00. There was a delay in the approval of the work to be done. I have paid you religiously every month, since 2018. This is my first claim. I cannot believe this.

I received a call from one of your staff while I was in my doctor's office. She was more concerned about my account being one day pass due than allowing me to call her back to discuss the issue. At that point, I realized that my bank had given me a new debit card and she wanted to clear things up before I got off the phone. My doctor was nice enough to allow me to finish the call. I called CarShield back to provide the new debit card number and got everything cleared up with another staff person.

I really like the experience but the electric system should be in my coverage. Electrical system are part of the vehicle and need repairs also. Sad no coverage plan is created. The wheel bearings for the front hubs also should be covered. Coverage is important for all the need replacement.. Thanks I hope you look over the plans, you have good remarks... Thanks.

I purchased a extended warranty for my Ram 2015 Laramie Longhorn. The customer service was very professional. I would definitely recommend Car Shield. I also like that Car Shield offers 100% coverages. Car Shield definitely offer a great package. There's no comparison out there.

My service light came on and the car was brought to the dealership Courtesy in Lafayette Louisiana. They would not accept my extended warranty so I paid for a diagnostic and the catalytic converter is needing to be changed for 1100 dollars. I have been having two extended warrantees for a while now. I was thinking the way it has been explained to me that I could bring my car or truck to any dealership or mechanic of my choosing to have the repairs done but I see that is not the case. At this point I am thinking of canceling both warranties.

It's the website and other connections that have been difficult. I can log into Car Shield website but can't go any further because it keeps reading still being processed. This is since January 6th. I made a payment on Thursday 01/14/2021, I took my car to Christian Brother Automotive around the corner from my house on 01/15/2021 due my van ran hot, and when I pressed the gas it wasn't getting any power. I called you guys to see what was covered, the representative informed me that I made a late payment yesterday, he even stated I took my van to the shop on the same day that I made the payment without asking me when my vehicle was taken, I informed him that my van was taken to the shop today Friday, he then proceeded to tell me that my payment hadn't processed from yesterday for me to call back Monday.

I was very happy with the care that you took with my car. Car Shield took charge having my car towed to the company of my choice. And Car shield towed my car a second time to Earl Brother's other shop because the first shop was too busy to take care of my car. Earl brother's second shop is larger than the other one.

This is a scam. Horrible service and they don’t do what they promise to have a easy process and hassle free. I took my car to shop and Carshield wanted me to pay the diagnostics $1200 upfront. They couldn’t tell me if they would cover the total $1200 to start.

I had service performed on my car on October 13, 2020. I provided all of the documents requested and to date 1/18/2021, I still do not have my reimbursement. They continued to ask for information (piecemeal) and I finally gave them all of the information again and again. I contacted them by email last week but have not received a response. There is no excuse for this negligence. I need my refund as soon as possible.

All of my questions were answered. The women I spoke with were very helpful. They explained parts of the service to be provided if I had a breakdown. I purchased this coverage in September 2020 and the day of purchase I asked what did it cover. I was told it covered a big list of things and and the AC/Heater was definitely included. Now I have a problem and they tell me it's not covered. The problem is one of the Actuators in the system. I have never gotten a copy of the coverage, I'm just going by what I was told the day I purchased the coverage! The coverage is on a 2008 Buick LuCerne and I have coverage on a 2010 Nissan Rogue! I'm not pleased at all with that decision! There is no way It is not part of the AC/Heating system!

The company needs to do a better job at the transfer process. The lady transferred my call and the guy was not sure what was going on. He did recover very well and I ended up going with the warranty. It seemed like a good deal.

I was so disappointed when I submit my claim that the battery I needed for my car was not covered under CarShield. Customer Service should have told me that when I initially called for roadside assistance. Also the ad on TV is totally deceiving as it states that when your car breaks down, the parts are covered. I will never sign up again - total waste of the $660 we have spent.

My experiences were always positive. I never had to file a claim; however, it felt good to be worry-free in case a claim to have to be submitted. I no longer own the vehicle in which coverage was had. However, in the future I will again obtain CarShield coverage when my bumper to bumper coverage provided by the dealer runs out.

I purchased a extended warranty for my 2013 Audi A4. Had the warranty for a few months on the car, when I had a check engine light come on. Did not drive the car, only to the Audi dealership to have the check engine serviced. Audi told me the timing chain needed to be replaced. So I gave Audi my information for my Carshied warranty and they took car of the rest. Rented a car to go back home because the inspector needed to look at the car first. CarShield sent their inspector out to do his job several days later.
After filing his report, CarShield asked Audi to pull the front part off the engine to reveal the timing chain and send pictures. By this time my car was at the dealership for two weeks. After the first week I returned the rental car because I had about $600 into that. Audi would call car shield 3 or 4 times a day trying to get my claim processed. A supervisor at car shield who was handling my warranty service would say she would call Audi with the ok to fix, but then would not return calls to Audi. Audi continued calling Carshield daily and wouldn’t get their authorization. Most of the time Audi was put on hold and then disconnected. When Audi would finally get a supervisor on the phone or they would return a call.
Carshield would tell Audi they need more pictures and information. This went on for a month. I was without my car because Carshield was give Audi and me the runaround. I finally had Audi fix my car with no help from Carshield. The repair to my car was $2800.00 out of pocket. No car for a month. Also a $600.00 car rental bill with no reimbursement to boot. Very disappointed. Carshield smoke and mirror service and coverage. Was going to contact my attorney to take action, but didn’t want to spend any more money on this dead end situation. When you click filling a claim on the mobile phone app. It states if vehicle is not functional to have it towed to the certified mechanic shop. And that would lead anyone to think that was a choice. But that decision cost me 650.00 out of pocket expenses. Which in this day and age was very hard to come by.

I still had to pay a $100 deductible. Wasn’t happy with that. I was under the impression my repairs were fully covered. Car insurance these days is just too high. I think they should allow points when you never have an extensive repair and no deductible.

Good morning. Today is 01/11/2020, I purchased an extended for my 2014 QX60 Infiniti about 10 Months ago, the car has 108000 miles, and I thought I was cover. When I got the warranty the agent told me that I was good to go. Everything was cover with the exception of the regular wear and tear. The engine light came on Friday 01/08/2021 and we took the vehicle to the Infiniti dealer, I was at ease because I had Carshield. The dealer call me today to let me know that Carshield (MEPCO), had denied my claim for the catalytic converter and transmission issues.
I am in tears. I have never been so sad that I been ripped off and let Carshield do this to me, I paid $100 per month for 10 months $1000.00 (Lost). Now I have a bill for $3500.00. I am Jobless due to Covid. My only income is my VA benefits. Consumers please do not get Carshield. This is a millionaire company and they do not care about you, they will rip you off and deny your claim in 2 minutes. I really hope you read this review and think about not getting Ripped Off.

It seems that whenever I make a claim for a repair, the claims adjusters are very indifferent towards the repair facility, presenting a barrage of questions that appear to be asked in hopes of disqualifying the claim. There's also an incredibly long wait-time to speak with a claim adjuster. The combination of these things are very frustrating and makes the repair facility not want to deal with CarShield at all. A claims adjuster even tried to get the repair facility to reduce their labor rate. I'm sure that wouldn't be asked if it was a dealership repair facility. Although the repairs were ultimately approved, I dont like having to jump through hoops to get it done.

The issue I had was that I could not print my contract information from your website. Using chrome, it would loop back to the main screen. Becky helped me by showing me how to use the app on my phone and download the document. She was great. The only issue then was that had to email the document to myself, open it and save it on the PC, this was a little messy but do-able.

I needed to have some work done to replace my front wheel hub assemblies and valve cover gaskets. Car Shield covered all repairs and we're very quick to get the process completed. I would recommend Car Shield to any person that has a vehicle outside factory warranty coverage. This plan has paid for itself each year I have been a customer.

This is the worst company to deal with. MY AIR CONDITIONER was totally not working, I tried putting in new Freon gas but it didn't help. My regular service station said I needed a new compressor and condenser. These are covered items in my protection plan I have with CarShield, they refused to pay for these saying they will pay for a compressor they send over, receiver/dryer which will do nothing to correct the problem, I need a condenser as I saw the cuttings all over the condenser that I have now. The adjuster then lies and says he called me numerous times, I have been sitting by the phone and waiting for his call. When I call them the supervisor says, "I will give him a message to call you, no one else here can help you." What a horrible company- everyone BEWARE....

So far I’m ready to add my other 2 cars to my plan. I’m so happy. My truck went out (tranny) and I was almost discouraged when I took my vehicle to the dealer (who said CarShield drags their feet and don’t honor claims correctly) but so far the dealer was the bad party and CarShield has done everything they said they would do (3 tows later). Once this issue is resolved (and at this point I am almost certain this company is real deal) I am definitely putting all my cars on my coverage with this company. I might put my mom's car on it too,

Customer service is always super good. When I call always they are very kind and helpful. I am very happy. I made it three calls call customer service again. I have another car. I want to give it to the Car Shield. Worry free for me.

Low pressure and informative. I like the salespeople and the response time of my calls. If I need service at some time in the future, I'll have a better idea of how good your warranty is. I can better give a recommendation at that time to friends or relatives.

When I called the first time to cancel the CSR was very professional and offered things for me to check before I cancelled. When I bought my car they included an extended warranty. I checked my warranty for my vehicle and they were the same. That is the only reason I cancelled. Neither of the CSR's tried to pressure me into not cancelling. When my warranty expires I will most likely call Car Shield again. Thanks.

I recently bought a CarShield Auto Protection Plan. I thought it was a fantastic deal since Mike Ditka is on their commercial. Problem Number 1. The warranty does not kick in until you reach 1,000 miles and/or 90 days from purchase. I was told coverage started after 30 days. I did not find this out until I went in for A/C service and repair - it was denied because of the 90 day rule. I didn’t meet the mileage because I only had 800 miles and only 77 days. Long story, I did get a refund, however, it was pro-rated and they kept 2 months of payments please let me know if you have been mislead. I still want my 2 months of payments back, that’s all I want and CarShield refuses. I am open for any suggestions, maybe ABC 7 on your side?

My transmission went and CarShield works, with no problem???? They paid for everything. Except what the contract says what it don't pay. Had no problems. Customer service was good. CarShield did what they said with no problems. Could take my car anywhere that I wanted it to be fixed.

Your service man called and told me what time he'd be here and was right on time. I could see right away that he was very organized. I did chat with him a little time making him take a little extra time but he was understanding. He was extremely neat considerate. Kind and professional. And no charge for the whole thing. Nothing. Received mailer indicating my contract price was going to increase to $129.99. Informed by Morgan to disregard as this was a promotional mailing. I only have one contract with Car Shield. I terminated my other contract as I traded the vehicle for a new one and a contract was no longer needed.

The experience was great. Your representatives were knowledgeable and did everything they could to help me. Customer service and towing are working with me. The company has give their reps the tools to help the customers. The transmission went out in my car. Everywhere told me they didn't work with you co. I got the right rep and the right business so I'm having it towed there for repair.

The service department had stated that they requested repair but were told it was not covered. In the call with CarShield they determined that the repair shop had looked up the incorrect policy. In correcting this it is now being fixed.

I found the language of the contract to be confusing (like a lawyer's language). The instructions recommended saving records and I am not good at that. I'm 85 and beyond struggling with language. Sorry. The representative was very helpful, tried to help me see the value in participating in CarShield, and helped me to cancel when I remained adamant.

Haven't really had to use it yet, but it's 79.00 a month covers everything. My repair center looked it over and said it covers a lot and to me 79 a month is better than a bill for like 2500 and then maybe another 1200 a short time later. Rather pay it. This way it's 100.00 deductible, even covers computer panel with radio, and Bluetooth etc.

The claim process is evasive and not transparent. Nothing in writing and may leave me out on a limb. TBC. The claim consultant was not very clear. I could not tell if her comments were from the Mechanic or from Carshield American Auto Shield. I hope this changes.

Purchased Carshield and was sent email of confirmation and access to my printable contract. Wouldn't open and I had my IT guys try several ways with no luck. I was told I would get paper copy in mail and they would ask their IT guys could troubleshoot the issue.

When it was time to use my warranty for engine repair they have refused to honor the warranty due to mileage. It has been a back and forth. Needed to show my service records showing the mileage and it is still a back and forth. I am still waiting to hear if they will cover the repairs minus my $100.00 deductible.

Respect the promise from my contract #: **, approve my claim! The denial of my claim is subjective and it is not based on the contract. The adjuster was using his technical interpretations to deny the claim instead to respect the contract as was written because my part which failed was part of the contract but the denial was not part of exclusion.

Updated on 01/14/2021: I am extremely disappointed in CarShield. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and will in fact tell people not to go with your company. I've heard from a couple of dealerships how terrible your service was and know I've experienced it. I have your top service product and it took weeks to hear back from you if you would fix my Yukon. Only to find out you wouldn't cover my transmission issues. Very unsatisfied and a major waste of money. I paid for your warranty and still had to pay out of pocket for repairs on my 2017 Yukon.
Original: I am very disappointed in the actual service I’ve paid for. When I call the customer service person they are very nice but nothing gets done. I have the top tier plan and my Denali is sitting in the shop for two weeks with a broken transmission. No offer to get a rental car and no response from the adjuster. The dealership says the Carshield doesn’t often pay for repairs. They have stopped taking your warranty because of these situations. I would not recommend Carshield to anyone.

Salesman told me one thing. And when it came time for my first repair, things were NOT as originally explained. Only when you wait for THEIR part(s) to be shipped to the repair center, can you really just pay the $100 deductible.

My experience has been nothing but unpleasant in every aspect. I've had have two claims, in which parts was supposed to been covered and I ended up paying out of pocket. My mechanic received the ok on the work, and was told what was covered and still I ended up paying out of pocket. It seemed that I could never get a direct answer to my question, when speaking with a representative. That's until I spoke with Nathan on reimbursement. I emailed Car Shield my invoices on the 22nd of December and still haven't heard heard back. Very disappointed! Nothing as advertised... I've been transfer from one department to another, from one representative to another and accomplish nothing. Kudos to you Nathan, and thank you for being the only one who truly helped me.
